I really enjoyed this place. The server and the bartender were very good and they had a great selection of beverages to choose from. I love the seafood as it was well done and overall just a great place to visit. I will be back.

We went here to celebrate a birthday. The lobster bisque was unique, but not your standard bisque. I personally did not like the fried buffalo shrimp, but others in our party finished them off for me. I ordered the fried scallop basket and was surprised not to find a basket of fried scallops, but a basket of fried scallop pieces. Kinda strange, I thought. Why cut up scallops to have more fried pieces? Why not leave them whole? It just added more grease to the meal. The Oyster appetizers were great as were the MahiMahi Fish Tacos. The Key Lime pie was great. The Bar was so loud we couldn't hold a conversation between ourselves at our table.

We had loads to eat here - the seafood bucket, the lobster bisque, grilled georgia trout, the shrimp gumbo(?), hotdogs. Loads to drink too - a bottle of sauvignon blanc, local beers. They were all good. Friendly and sincere service. No hesitation in recomending this place!

I wanted to eat some oysters for my birthday but unfortunately I had to work so I stop by here for lunch around 11 15am and sat on the upstairs patio. The fried and Rockefeller oysters and stuff shrimp were delicious. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and drink selections. Overall it was a great experience

A short walk from my hotel in Midtown. I was hankering for some oysters. It was a difficult choice between the raw oysters and something else. I picked the sampler oysters plate.. which turned out to be a fantastic surprise. . While I was there, several people came in and ordered the lobster bisque “to go”. Needless to say, I couldn’t resist, so I ordered a cup for myself. Fabulous choice! Charlotte was my very capable bartender. It happened to be her birthday, and she had friends that came in to celebrate. A friendly place with a fun atmosphere and great food!

I come here every now and then to satisfy my steamed crableg and oyster cravings (raw, or garlic parmesan). If I were rating this place based on those alone, I would (maybe) give it 4 stars... it's consistently good and totally affordable. I'm taking off a star because I've had other things on their menu. If you're from Maine, and you're craving an amazing lobster roll, you'll be disappointed. If you've never had a lobster roll, you might like it.... it doesn't suck. The restaurant is big (two floors) and divey. It makes me feel a little uneasy to order seafood from a place that doesn't feel very clean, but I've never had a problem with the food, and it completely satisfies my seafood cravings... and I'm in landlocked Atlanta where affordable, amazing seafood really doesn't exist. Also, I don't feel bad bringing the kids. It's a family place, except that the TWO bars are bigger than the seating areas. If the weather is nice, sit outside on the patio... it's a much better ambiance than the restaurant itself. Oh, and there's a THIRD bar out there. Maybe if I drank more, I'd give this place two more stars.

I loved the entire restaurant from the backyard, inside ship decor complete with port holes, and nets to the 2 levels of seating which included a rooftop patio. The music was great, the waitstaff was attentative, the food and drinks were awesome and the sun was shining. They had speacials of the day for food and drink on a Sunday. My party enjoyed the spicy shrimp and scallion nachos, we cleared the tray. I tried the crab stuffed grouper with steamed broccoli- definite WINNER and the best grits I have ever had in my entire life! On the table was the crab and shrimp dinner add fried shrimp and Catfish dinner, all good. I washed it all down with, I think it was called, a ruby slipper. This is a MUST eat whenever I visit Atlanta again. 5 stars, 2 thumbs, and 1 happy tummy!

Reminds you of a seafood / bar in some beach town! Loved the crab bisque, could be the best I ever had ! Lobster roll was very good also

Crab stuffed shrimp were absolutely fantastic! Had the lobster roll and the lobster bisque - both were good. Waiter was really great and knew the menu, was there when we needed him, etc. Would definitely go back!

The yearly Oysterfest was a complete flop. So disappointed. Looked like a dirty construction sight! No grass, nowhere to sit and so many rocks. Super small, nothing like previous years. Please don’t mistake the review for the actual lounge which is great.

The food was excellent, the bartender "V" was amazing. 2 levels, we sat upstairs, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Love it and will return. The prices were just right not to expensive

Seems like Steamhouse has been around forever, but I'd never been. Seeing as how I love seafood I should have gone sooner. The restaurant has a lively vibe, and the service was great when I was there. Great beer menu and great menu with a variety of fried, broiled, and steamed offerings. I had a lot of fun visiting, and this would be a good place to hang out with friends. Parking was a bit of a challenge so used valet parking.

..... this is what you'd get. That being said, I love dive bars so everything was great! The food was delicious and the ambience was perfect.

Went for appetizers and drinks after work. we sat on the upstairs deck. The service was slow and bad. empty plates and drinks were not cleared when some of our group left and others freshly arrived. It took forever to get served and orders came in random timing. Fish taco was pretty ok - nothing special. Lobster bisque is quite good

Great seafood at great price! I tried a few items in this place. Red snapper, salmon BLT, fish tacos, shrimp tacos, boils, etc. decent seafood at reasonable price compared to other seafood restaurants in the area. As simple as sounds, shrimp tacos were so good! Bartender Jenelle (sp?) is so awesome and great person to recommend food there

Loved this bar. It's two levels inside and out. For seafood lovers this is the spot to go. Good food good drinks friendly helpful staff upbeat chill atmosphere. The shrimp and grits is to die for

We both enjoyed our fish dinners. Hush puppies are good and the tots were cooked perfectly. I had my fish blackened which was one of the best I have ever had.

You have got to do the Lobster Bisque. It's a treat. The food is simple bar food and pretty well priced. A good bar area where the staff are quite friendly. There is a lot of paraphernalia and bric-a-brac on the walls which shows the history of the place. It does make it look a little messy but this is the style of the location.

This was a solo, work-week lunch visit & worth the walk about a block or two from office. It wasn’t full but respectably busy. Service was fast & friendly & I was quickly seated with no wait. Its decor is fitting for the nautical steamhouse vibe. Nothing fancy & it’s been around the sun a few times but holding up well. I got the fish & chips - which interestingly includes a $2 upcharge for charity. I was feeling generous & wanted to try the fish & was satisfied. Next time I’ll likely try a shrimp basket or other & a work colleague swears by the shrimp & grits as some of the best he’s ever had. A little pricey for a weekly visit but will try to splurge 4 or 5 times a year.

In town for a concert and randomly found this place on trip advisor. Just hate it is 4 hours from my house. Omg.... We have oysters and peel and eat shrimp and it all tasted as good as when I had them earlier this month in key west! Baja tacos were to die for and more then enough to eat. Fried grouper rivaled my favorite, Keegan, in the Clearwater area. Just need another excuse to make it to Atlanta to try more foods! Very laid back environment. And..... Super awesome artwork of the bartender on the wall. ;)

If you want a good true understanding of traditional food from Atlanta , then Steamhouse lounge won’t disappoint ! Excellent friendly service from Trellis and assisting staff made the experience even better . Great range of quality , fresh food . Highly recommend .

This establishment offers fresh, great-tasting seafood in a relaxed, bar-like atmosphere. We ordered rich and satisfying lobster bisque, delicious steamed clams with drawn butter, a light yet substantial lobster roll (complete with a side of broccoli), and hearty shrimp tacos. The children's meal options were reasonable and generously portioned. Our server, Dean, was courteous and attentive, and the beverage options were extensive.

Comfortable spot to dine alone. Cold steamed peel 'em yourself shrimp delicious, served on bed of ice along with generous lemon slices and great cocktail sauce, with extra horse radish to add to taste. Service was prompt and courteous. Mixed greens salad much to large and could lose the iceberg lettuce in favor of just mixed greens, creamy vinaigrette dressing lost its sharp bite with the cream, but manageable. Local Atlanta Scofflaw Brewing Double Jeopardy a nice, strong, tasty beer.

Had visitors in from out of town. They chose to go here two nights in a row because the food is so good

Nice casual restaurant with a beachy feel right in midtown Atlanta Georgia. Met friends we haven’t seen in years, so it was nice that we could eat, talk for a couple hours and not be pushed out. Food was really good & the portions are huge! This place will not disappoint. Prices are terrific.

This is a wonderful place in Midtown Atlanta. We ate some appetizers, and they were big portions. Even the kid's chicken strips were big! We had grouper fingers and peel and eat shrimp. Delicious! It was well cleaned and social distance was respected. Awesome place!

We stopped here on a Saturday evening to kill time. Had a couple drinks at the bar and an appetizier. Service was pretty quick. Food was good. We will be returning to have dinner sometime. Bartender was really cool. Even though I could tell she was really busy, she was taking time to be nice and create a welcoming environment.

Absolute favorite seafood place in ATL. We come every visit to Atlanta. Staff is great, food is always amazing. Our server Charlie was incredible.

Very nice place to enjoy the city view and eat. The balcony is the place to sit. Seafood is fresh and delicious. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Kitty was our waitress & she is so awesome! She's a retired singer. We found out about her singing career when she belted out a soulful "happy birthday" melody to our friend, who was there celebrating his birthday. I ordered the crab dip & shrimp basket. The crab dip was so good....I could not stop eating it! I'm planning on returning to try the crab legs!

I have been going to Steamhouse since the late 1980'w when in was in Buckhead. The food is basic, but delicious and reasonably priced. The lobster bisque is a mainstay and must have! If you good, basic seafood by all means go here - and if the weather is nice, the outdoor deck is a nice place to hangout.

Had the stuffed shrimp app, pecan crusted trout, salmon blt and lobster bisque/lobster roll combo. Food was awesome, drinks were great.

From Louisiana so I’m biased. Very mediocre as far as taste goes. The charbroiled oysters were the best thing on the menu in my opinion and I don’t really like oysters prepared that way. Great environment and family friendly. My kids loved the fish pond.

I was looking for some good seafood and this restaurant came up and appeared to have a good menu and good reviews. When we got there the waiter seemed cool until I sent my food back. I order calamari and stuffed shrimp for an appetizer and grouper meal for dinner. The calamari was mm mmm good but the stuff shrimp was nasty too much breading and filler that wasnt cheese and crab meat to me. The grouper didn't appear done and it didn't taste good but they explained that the grouper is pinkish in color anyway I sent that back and got grouper fingers and that was good. However, once I sent the stuffed shrimp and grouper back I can hear the waiter and maybe the manager and another lady that work there talking about me and how I sent the food back. I'm like who cares I'm not paying for something I dont like, will not eat and then have to find something else to eat. I was skeptical about ordering something else because I was scared they might do something to my food but I did and just prayed over it. Now get this once I left the restaurant 2 male employees was sitting outside the restaurant rolling up marijuana. So needless to say I wont be back to this restaurant. ATL do better!

My family and I came here for seafood and a low-key atmosphere, and this places exceeded expectations. The lobster bisque was delicious! Highly recommend!

Good selection of seafood. Well made and super tasty. Service is good and attentive. Located in a good/safe neighborhood.

I loved my po boy. I had the shrimp and oysters on it. Sauce is the perfect spicy for me. Wife had the shrimp basket. She is a picky eater and loved it. Especially the spinach. Waiter, shane, was awesome. Honest. He steered us to a perfect meal. Total price came to under $30. We will be back next time in midtown.

Fresh seafood in the middle of Atlanta? Yes! Steamhouse Lounge is a regular stop for me when in Midtown for business. Great lunch specials and wonderful dinners. Not many places in Atlanta where you can get fresh oysters and delicious shrimp at very reasonable prices. The vibe is neighborly. The waitstaff is friendly. Drinks are poured generously. Meals are delicious. We’ll be back again... and again.

Outstanding, fun spot for seafood in Atlanta. Very fun atmosphere, great variety of seafood options, seafood nachos are awesome. Everything we ordered was very good! Service was great!

Had a cup of lobster bisque and wife and I split the fish tacos. Bisques was tasty without a lot of nuance. Fish taco, while fresh didn't have a lot of personality.

Went here on a Saturday for lunch upstairs. Started off with some drinks that were made fast and were tasty. Took awhile to put our raw oyster app order in. Not sure why because it was slow. Server made our drinks and did not come back. Once the order was placed they came out fast and were delicious. We then had a fried grouper sammy and a lobster roll. Wife also got a cup of bisque that was good. Both were great and are must haves when visiting here.

We were looking for a place to eat late at night close to our hotel. The Steamhouse was one of the restaurants opened late. We had the rockefeller oysters for appetizer. The cheese and spinach sauce on the oysters was good. I enjoyed the lobster bisque, spicy and rich with lobster. The bartender was very helpful. I wanted a drink not too sweet with tequila. she made me a special drink with silver tequila, soda water, lemon, and a touch of sprite.

We love this place, not just because they have good reliable food but because of the location and their outdoor deck. The deck is at the second floor and seems to be built in the tree tops. Great vibe and lighting. We’ll be back next time we’re in town!

Outdoor and indoor seating, very reasonable pricing, good service. They serve beer in cold bottles and we only had the bisque and crab appetizer---both were excellent. Parking can be difficult during peak times. We will be back, really liked all the options in food and seating.

Had dinner here on my first night visiting Atlanta. It was just steps away from our hotel. Loved the combination of being able to order a lobster roll and lobster bisque within the meal. The melted butter was served on the side so you can add as little or much as you like. Being that I visited Maine just last year, it wasn't the best lobster roll I've had but was still surprisingly good. My husband and I both liked the atmosphere and service as well.

This place has the best crab legs & lobster bisque in Atlanta. The service & atmosphere allows you to calmly sit back & enjoy your food.

We found Steamhouse a couple of years ago while staying in Midtown. This is a great joint. Bartenders have been there for years and are great characters. The lobster bisque is to die for. I always buy a quart to take with me. All of the food is great and the patrons are very friendly. Great, casual atmosphere.

We went here for late night food after the YES 50th Anniversary concert at Symphony Hall. It's pretty easy walking although it is uphill from Steamhouse to our condo. We sat on the upper balcony because it was a nice night. The speakers were blaring 70's rock, and although some was quite good, the server did turn it down a notch for us (it was pretty loud if you had a table in front of a speaker and I noticed people were shouting over it). Service was pretty fast even though they were cleaning up too in addition to the later crowd (I think we got there just before 11 pm). We started with Moscow Mules ($8.50 ea) for both of us. We split all of the food. We had an order of Seafood Nachos ($13), which was delicious. We then had a Shrimp Basket with tater tots and both sauces ($13). That was a lot of food! Everything deep-fried was light and crunchy. We will definitely be back!! We love sitting out on the upper deck and watching the cars go by.

Wonderful evening to sit on the patio and enjoy great grouper. Delicious. Efficient waitstaff. Most enjoyable.

I did a google search fir restaurants midtown Atlanta, and Steamhouse never came up. We passed it on the way to he symphony. We decided to come back for lunch the next day. I'm so glad that we did!! The good was excellent. The waiter was very entertaining, and the place had a neat funky atmosphere. They also had a bar. I recommend sitting outside. I had the grouper blackened, and my husband had the trout. They were both perfectly cooked and not fishy at all. I will definitely go back!!

I love a good shrimp boil and sausage. I really love it when the price is fair and the staff is awesome. I visited Steamhouse Lounge in March 2019 for the first time and I can promise you I'll visit every time I'm in Atlanta. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I'll book my hotel accommodations to make it easy to get to Steamhouse Lounge. The atmosphere is great, the wait staff is attentive and the food is fantastic. Do yourself a favor, order the chocolate cake.

Lobster roll was delicious and all fried seafood (tilapia and shrimp) was also delicious - My lobster bisgue was good and my family seemed to enjoy it... It was around the corner from the hotel (MARRIOTT) we were staying at - It's location was perfect for an early lunch... Jalapeno grits could have been hotter in terms of temperature but was nonetheless good - It was just disappointing that my hotel didn't have a microwave for me to heat up for the next morning...

A random find opposite the hotel. Looks cute outside and inside has lots of character. Staff were very attentive and chatty. Very keen to recommend some lovely drinks. Food looked great and we had some oysters that were delicious. 100% worth a visit if you like beer and are in the area.

And Skeletons. Now that I have your attention!!! The best Lobster Bisque in the World. Coupled with a Lobster Roll. I visit here every time I come to Atlanta. We had fun with the Halloween decorations

This is a great Midtown restaurant! We had the lobster bisque, and it certainly lived up to its reputation as the very best in Atlanta! It was some of the best bisque we have ever had!! The lobster roll was filled with delicious, fresh lobster. The grilled fish tacos and fried shrimp were also fantastic. We had an excellent server -- personable, professional, and helpful. The vibe is casual and friendly. All in all - you can't go wrong at the Steamship Lounge!

We took some family here for lunch that was in town visiting. They absolutely loved it. Everything Steamhouse serves is delicious. The crabstuff shrimp is really good and so are the spicy shrimp and scallop nachos. We love the lobster bisque and the grill cheese. The lobster bisque is some of the best we've ever had!

6/20/19 - Visiting Georgia my husband picked this "dive bar/lounge" because of all the good reviews on line. Even though they have valet parking we parked on the street. The lounge has out side seating as well as several levels of dining. We choose to sit at a booth after being told 'to seat yourself'. We ordered the Fried Calamari with sweet and hot chili sauce, Crab stuffed Shrimp, and the Oysters Rockefeller with creamed spinach, Swiss & Parmesan for starters. The Calamari was fried in the Italian American way and was nothing to write home about, the Crab stuffed Shrimp was very underwhelming and the Oyster Rockerfeller was over cooked and had way too much cheese! For mains my son ordered the Jumbo Shrimp (cold) that had the feet and peel on them, he said they were just ok. My husband ordered the New Orleans Po Boy with fried oysters and/or shrimp, with remoulade, lettuce and Pico de Gallo well he enjoyed it and I tasted it and thought it was ok (but the Pico wasn't a Pico at all). My daughter ordered the Lowcountry Boil Skillet 16 shrimp boiled with potatoes, corn & Andouille sausage. My daughter had to send it back because everything was so over cooked she couldn't eat it. When the entree was returned to her she said it was good but she ended up taking the shrimp out of the pan because again they were getting overcooked (the entree came in a pan with a lot of liquad that was steaming hot). I ordered the Crab and Shrimp Dinner consisting of 1 lb steamed crab legs & 6 shrimp, with potato & coleslaw. The Shrimp was so over cooked that it was like eating rubber, so back it went when it was re done it was still somewhat overcooked. My side of Spinich was perfect (after some melted butter and pepper), the coleslaw was good as were the Crab Legs. I wouldn't go back but a lot of locals like it.

visited Steamhouse Lounge in July 2017. Nice atmosphere even though it was very hot. We sat on upper deck. Great service and food was very good. Good peel and eat shrimp and Low Country boil was a favorite.

We stayed nearby to the Steamhouse Lounge and ended up eating here TWICE before we left Atlanta. Rebecca and Pierre were awesome servers/bartenders and we had some excellent raw oysters and lobster bisque soup the first visit and fried catfish & grits as well as fried grouper stuffed with crabmeat and grits. I have NEVER had such amazing lobster bisque in my life. #amazingfood #bestcooks

Wow! One of the absolute best restaurants I have eaten - from all over the world. Casual atmosphere, for a seat on the the outside deck. Ordered lobster bisque, Oysters Danielle and fish and chips. All dishes presented were outstanding. The lobster bisque was creamy and full of meat, the oysters were a perfect blend of garlic and Parmesan cheese. The fish and chips were also very good. This is a must visit restriction in Midtown Atlanta.

When traveling I am always looking for the great local spot and on this Atlanta trip, we found it! A dozen oysters on the half shell on $9.99 special, crab stuffed Grouper with steamed broccoli and Jalapeno grits were the bomb! The bartender was awesome and there was a great local crowd! It's an awesome dinner spot if you make it to Atlanta!

Monday special - 1 Lb crab legs ($12) with seasoned new potatoes were amazing! Fresh and delicious. Perfectly steamed. Katie at the bar made great suggestions for dinner and wine and provided outstanding customer service. My go to place now! I have been here for lunch and dinner on multiple occasions and it never disappoints.

Came here for lunch and got the steampot boil. Everything was so delicious and reasonably priced! It was great. Will be back next time we are in ATL

The lobster bisque is wonderful! We ordered the snapper and it was not tender and the grits cake was cold. The manager did adjust our bill. All the servers are attentive and friendly. When you thank them that say "My pleasure", NOT "No problem"

freshest, best seafood hands down. visited with my daughter and loved the food. very reasonable considering the amount and superior quality.

We were on our way to hotel in Midtown, very hungry and trying to find something. We saw this place on the corner and said this place looks cool. We valet for $2 out front, parking would be limited on street. We arrived around 730pm and it was full but there were plenty of tables, inside or out on patio. Great bar, lots of choices or drinks. I started reading reviews when I got in because I like to read what place I am in. And Jackpot, this place has great reviews and food was excellent. I was traveling with teens, we ordered the Fried Calamari and it was the best we have had, fresh, liked the breading and the great sauces that came with. We ordered it twice. Prices varied from $10-18 for sandwiches and plates from $13-48 depends on how much food you want. Because of other reviews I had to try the Lobster Bisque lots of chunks of lobster, great and the crab stuffed shrimp appetizers, excellent. The tacos were recommended and they had the shrimp and Baja fried fish tacos, the boys loved them, can be spicey. Fried grouper sandwich and fried shrimp. Everyone was happy with their food. If your staying in Midtown. Great place to go. Waitresses were good, very busy, very attentive. Definitely would go back!

Service was very efficient and friendly. Prices are very competitive. Raw oysters presented well. Mani tacos could have seen some more volume of ingredients, esp coleslaw, but tasty. Good experience but not sure it should be that near the top in a city Iike atlanta...

Excellent meal with quick and efficient service , no frills but perfect if you want a quality bite of food in a casual unpretentious setting .

This was by far the best establishment for outside dining that I have visited in Atlanta. Great food, excellent service, great prices! I visited here several times during my recent visit to Atlanta. If you are seafood lover, like myself, you will really enjoy this restaurant. I highly recommend the lobster bisque.

We chose Steamhouse Lounge because it was close to our hotel and the menu worked well for adults and kids. We had no idea what a treat we were in for!! Our waitress (forgot her name but we were upstairs on 11/25/19) was amazing and made great drink and food recommendations, she was super patient with our group (half kids ages 6-14 and all tired). The Shrimp & Grits were amazing (waitress recommended), the lobster bisque was delicious, the grouper and snapper were both delicious as well. We weren’t disappointed in anything on the table! Do not miss this place if you can make it to Midtown Atlanta!

We recently dined here for dinner. The patio has an awesome vibe and views. Our waiter was very pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable. The bar tender made good drinks as well. I recommend the lobster bisque, shrimp and grits, tater tots, and any fish. Overall I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood.

Monday night crab leg special is a steal and service was very good. They were slammed with Modex customers snd still did a great job.

A coworker recommended this restaurant and I'm so glad she did. We started off with the lobster bisque and oysters rockefeller. Both were excellent. For our main course we shared the Baja Tacos and the Mahi Mahi tacos. Again, both were very good. What makes The Steamhouse lounge such a great place is not only the food but the atmosphere. We dined out on the back patio and the atmosphere was just neat. The music was not to loud and our waitress while attentive was not intrusive. It was hard to believe that we were right in the middle of midtown Atlanta. Definitely will be going back.

We tried this place after a play at the Fox. Place was fairly busy with customers for an early supper on Sunday. We both liked the lobster bisque- lots of lobster junks. My husband enjoyed his trout that came with a salad. I had the lobster roll which is exactly what the waiter told me it was- lobster meat on a poppy seed hot dog bun with a side of butter. It wasn't bad, I just wish I had tried something different with more seasoning. Desserts run $6. Lots of outdoor seating in a shaded setting, outside balcony tables, and more seating inside.

I love coming to Steamhouse Lounge and enjoying the view from the upper deck. The food is above average and the service is excellent. The fried shrimp po-boy was tasty and the roll was fresh. Definitely try the lobster bisque.

Looking for really good raw oysters in Atlanta?, Here’s your place. Great oysters, great Grouper, really great service from my new best friend in Atlanta, Darwaine. Did I mention ice cold beer? Here’s the place. I’ll be back

The Steamhouse Lounge is a relaxed restaurant with some of the best seafood in the Atlanta area. It’s relaxed enough to hang out with friends wearing a baseball cap having a few beers and it’s nice enough to take a date and dress up whatever you wanna do. It’s a great place and everything I’ve eaten there is fantastic but the lobster bisque is amazing. Huge chunks of lobster great bisque with a little acidic kick that brings out all the flavors.

When friends asked us to meet them at Steamhouse, we expect that, being in midtown, it would be somewhat fancy. Ha! Not at all. I have to agree with a fellow reviewer that it would be right at home on the beach. We had great service. I had the cucumber G&T, which was quite nice and refreshing. Almost every one of us (there were eight of us there) had the crab cakes and loved them. There's lots of meat, virtually no shell (I had a tiny piece, but not as bad as crab cakes can be), and just enough breading. They are served with tasty cole slaw. My husband said next time he'd just order two crab cakes and a bowl of the bisque. The bisque is slightly spicy (just enough to give it a bit of zing), creamy thick and delicious with plenty of lobster meat. There were many cups and bowls of bisque around the table, and no one left any behind. Other dishes we tried and enjoyed: Baja tacos, salmon BLT, and red snapper. Downside: Husband had grouper, which was so fishy as to be inedible. Points to Steamhouse: they took it off our bill without any issue. Parking tip: There are parking lots nearby, but Steamhouse provides valet parking at the door. Highly recommend it.

We started with the cold crab dip that comes with pita bread. It was exceptional with a ton of crab meat. I had the steamed seafood platter. All of the seafood was very good. The issue that I had was that it wasn't much food for an entree. I would rather pay more to get plenty of food rather than leaving hungry. So while it was very good, size wise it just didn't rise to the level of an entree.

This was our second visit to Steamhouse Lounge and just like the previous visit everything was really good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was (both visits) fantastic. Our table of six enjoyed beer, wine and some cocktails that were great. Best of all, it is very reasonably priced. I could go to this restaurant on every visit to Atlanta.

This is a popular local hangout that serves great seafood at very reasonable prices. Plus lots of non-seafood items as well. Very busy, noisy and first come first served so getting a table can be difficult, but the wait is worthwhile.

My niece chose this restaurant on her birthday vacation and were not sure she could get in only being 20. She was very welcomed and the decor was fun to look at. The food looked amazing in the reviews, it was just average and more on the expensive side for the quality. The crab legs were over cooked, the friend shrimp was good, and crab stuffed grouper was to nothing to brag about, fish or than any grouper I've ever eaten. The atmosphere was enjoyable though and the valet parking due to the location was great.

My husband and I go like to go back here and try something new. We love sitting on the upper deck to eat; really nice unless the music is blasting. This time we had the Fried Calamari which was good, the Lobster Bisque which was OUTSTANDING, and Lobster Rolls which were good but a little light on the lobster. Service was ok: we know the servers have a lot of tables but it does take awhile to get anything. Servers are always friendly though.

We absolutely love it here, we popped in for lunch one day and went back again for two more meals over the coming few days. The food is full of flavour and tasty. It’s a relaxed environment with great service and great people. You can see this is a huge part of the community. It knows exactly what it is and delivers perfectly. The lobster bisque is soo tasty and warming, if we could have got it on the plane we would have taken some home.

Interesting place, decor is that dive, roadside Beach, University handout thing going on but it was filled with middle age mix of Atlanta. Good selection of beer and food was what you would expect executed very well.

While in Atlanta, we dined at Steamhouse Lounge two times. The food is good, the atmosphere is very casual, the staff are friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for being in a big city. Put on your shorts (and probably a top) and try it out. Super amount of various dishes to choose from. It is not in the downtown area but is an easy taxi ride to the establishment. If I were to come back to Atlanta, I know we would go there again.

We had a really long day travelling and sightseeing. We walked to the Steamhouse Lounge and sat outside. Pierre took care of us...he was a GEM! The food was great, We had grilled grouper, the red snapper and fish tacos. Chocolate cake for dessert. It was a very pleasant atmosphere, but Pierre was the highlight.

I found Steamhouse Lounge because of it's location. It was across the street from the hotel I was staying at. At my first supper at Steamhouse, my server was Bree. She is the best - attentive, friendly and spot-on with my special order requests. The second night I went back, Bree greeted me with a hug. The food is good - I had a different meal each of the three nights I went to Steamhouse for supper. One time, I had the daily special - a pasta dish with shrimp and scallops. The pasta wasn't overcooked and the sauce was light, yet very flavorful. One night, I had the shrimp served with a cocktail sauce with a kick - yummy! The last night, I ordered the calamari - nice and tender with a light chili sauce - delicious.

The beer garden is soo cute! The staff are chilled and wonderful. The cocktails were sweet so I could only manage one

The one that identifies as “Holly” ruined the Oysterfest visit for over 40 people. In fact, Holly drove everyone from the Holly section, and we felt uncomfortable and walked out. At 5pm on a Saturday during Oysterfest NO ONE was left in Holly’s section because Holly drive us all away. Holly costed the restaurant thousands of dollars that day, and tens of thousands of dollars worth of future money. Holly said “I never want to see your face again, don’t come back” to my friend because he wanted to pay his portion of the tab and leave. Even though I wasn’t part of the conversation, Holly looked over at me and told me “I never wants to see you again and you and your friends aren’t welcome here, don’t ever come back.” Seemingly out of nowhere. Over 30 people walked out because of HOLLY!!! I have NEVER been treated this way by a server. Holly is RUDE and unprofessional. Holly refuses to write things down and then forgets and messes up your order and still tries to charge you for it. It’s unbelievable that someone so hateful has a job in hospitality. ******Here’s the story. Around 30 of my friends and I have been taking a party bus to Oysterfest every year for the last 8 years. My friends and I are in our late 30’s & 40’s, and are business owners and professionals. We meet with around 30 others at the event and always meet back up at the main Steamhouse patio for food and drinks. Our tab is usually in excess of $700, and we tip extremely well. For the last 2 years we have unfortunately had horrible Holly as our server. Holly always has a bad attitude and refuses to write down large orders and each time gets them wrong. 2 years in a row Holly has tried to charge us for Holly’s mistakes as well. This year, Holly was rudely adamant that all 25 of us had to be on the same tab. I explained that we would do that, but everyone would pay their part in chunks. Holly agreed, and we sat down and ate and drank as always. The Lobster bisque is the best in the world IMO, and the food is always very good. However, Holly is very bad, and continued to be rude to my friends. Holly messed up my wife’s grouper fingers order and brought shrimp, and was triggered when I reiterated that the mistake was because our orders should be written down. The attitude was worse and worse, and Holly was snapping at my friends. 2 of my friends (Shawn & Kevin) couldn’t take it and went upstairs to a different section to not have to deal with the Holly attitude. My friend Tony had something come up and asked to pay for his meal and drink, and Holly told him to just pay the whole tab and sort it out later. Tony showed up after our conversation about the singular bill, and politely declined to put $450 on his card. He asked again politely to just pay for his own food and drink and Holly growled and said: “it’s around $28.” Tony repeated that he needed to know exactly how much he owed so he could pay that amount, and we were all shocked when Holly said: “ “ya know what, I never want to see your face again, don’t come back” just because he wanted to pay his portion of the tab and leave. In fact, even though I wasn’t part of the conversation, Holly looked over at me and told me “I never wants to see you again and your friends aren’t welcome here, don’t ever come back.” We were all floored, and for a moment I thought Holly was kidding, so I just sat there. My friend Joe was more vocal and said- are you seriously talking to them that way because he wanted to pay his bill. They began to argue amd yell back and forth with each other, and I realized that Holly has serious mental & anger issues. The chip on the shoulder is the size of a city and Holly hates people & this job more that anyone I’ve ever seen. Holly basically told 30 innocent and sober people that they should leave! The women were creeped out by Holly and all of us felt uncomfortable. I decided to get everyone together and get back into the party bus and take our business elsewhere. I made a video that I will post that shows that the Holly section was totally empty at 5:04pm on a 74 degree dry Saturday during Oysterfest! My group normally spends over $800 at the table and brings home another $400 in frozen lobster bisque as well. My wife and everyone else felt so uncomfortable we had to leave immediately. Unbelievable.

Lobster bisque was to kill for oyster sampler was so good we had to order more. Key lime pie was excellent. Service was great

My wife and I came here really just wanting to find a nice outside eating area and wow were we surprised to find probly one of the best places to eat. Cheese was our bertender/ server and she made us so comfortable with her easy going friendly helpful personality... on top of that the oysters the lobster bisque and Baja tacos were truly amazing!!!!! If you come to Atlanta definitely come here you will definitely leave full happy and wishing you were staying longer to come and eat here again and again!!!!

Found this great place walking around Mid Town Atlanta. Great conversation at the bar with even better food. Fried Grouper Tacos best ever!!

We where staying at the West in and had friends in from NC. Wanted to try Uber and some seafood, picked this restaraunt because of the reviews. We were all happy with our choice , had a good time, good food, good beer, and took Uber ride back to the hotel.

Steamhouse Lounge is my new go to place for seafood in Atlanta. The Mahi Mahi fish tacos were fantastic. Add the pepper cheese grits to complete the meal. Awesome! Great atmosphere and great wait staff. In the heart of Midtown.

Absolutely love the atmosphere of the steamhouse. Amazing food my favorite is the red snapper and spinach salad. the top deck is great for warm weather. Rebecca is an amazing bar tender and tends to her customers very friendly and on point everytime.

Good food and atmosphere, Friendly staff and great outdoor dinning. Good selection of fresh seafood and low country meals that are affordable

The Baja tacos we're among the best I've ever had. Tried the cold crab dip this time. More of a spread, and plenty to share. And of course you must start with the lobster bisque Excellent all around.

The catfish platter is enough for 2 people, it is a huge piece of fish and fried and seasoned very week. I highly recommend it. To be honest I have never had a bad meal here.

Our group really loved this restaurant! So unusual to see a place that looks like a beachfront restaurant in the middle of a big city! The atmosphere is VERY casual. Service was good. The food was delicious! My friend said the lobster bisque was the best she's ever tasted. I loved the crab legs. Lobster rolls were great, too. Prices were very reasonable.

Excellent service and friendly waitress. Ate on the wrap around patio on the second floor - nice location. Tried the mussels, lobster rolls, lobster bisque and chocolate covered key lime pie. Mussels were good (order some extra bread for the sauce). Good size lobster roll with melted butter for dipping. (no mayo like in Maine; mostly lobster on a roll but nice size chunks. . Bisque was OK but not the best I've had, but very picky about lobster bisque. Chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick was interesting - not the typical style but worth a try. Overall a fun place to try. The food is not amazing, but is good. A nice place to hang out with a bit of coastal feel - would recommend trying it.

We love going to this restaurant! On this visit, we had the Shrimp and Scallop Nachos, which were excellent as usual. We also each had the special for the night, Lobster Salad. When the salad came out, it looked like a dream. The lobster on the top was tender and delicious. However, as I proceeded to eat my salad, I discovered it was absolutely loaded with pepper and vinegar. That was really bad! Why would you dump pepper on lobster? This wasn't a seasoning, it looked like when dishing up, my portion was the end of the bowl and it was just dumped onto my plate. The bottom of the salad was inedible. I won't order that again! How to ruin lobster in 2 easy steps.... Add way too much vinegar and then a fistful of pepper. Service was slow this night even though it was early and most tables were empty inside and out.

Great food, great atmosphere with inside or outside seating! Great service also! Loved the chicken sandwich even though it's a seafood bar!

We enjoyed the food and service. Thank you guys! Loved the fresh oysters and our servers was the best! She directed us to the best dishes! You were great.

Must try the lobster bisque, it was nicely seasoned and lots of shredded lobster, it is almost a meal for a cup of soup. I had lobster roll and bisque, the lobster was a little dry, but, still tasty. My friend had Lobster bisque and Salmon BLT that was cooked just right and juicy, if you have the sandwich, definitely should try the hush puppies. I will definitely come back to try the oysters.

We went here for dinner before a show at Center Stage (DJ Shadow). We sat on the top balcony which overlooks the street. They were moderately busy. It took a couple of minutes for our server to come to the table, but after that service was terrific. We ordered the Oysters Danielle ($11) and the Shrimp and Scallops Nachos ($13). OMG, both were delicious! I had a Texas Margarita and my husband had a Lemonhead Whiskey Sour. Both were good, but the whiskey sour was better. We will definitely go back!

Always a good place for seafood at lunch while in the Midtown area. Has a nice rooftop deck. Good service and I've always had good experiences at this restaurant.

Simply fantastic. Atmosphere, service and everything else. Food was perfect. Absence of draft beer os the single but not too important disadvantage.

We had walked by this place a few times and it seemed to be a bit out of place in the neighbourhood. Little did we know that this place fits anywhere! We started off with their incredibly fresh and massive oysters! Wednesday special 12 for $12 was the deal of the century! Oysters were sooo good I was almost going to order more. Next up was their lobster roll and bisque combo. It wasn’t their normal lobster roll dressed with mayo but it did come with melted butter. Their bisque was award-winning for a reason. Super rich, packed with flavor and made a great dip for the roll. We also had their Georgia mountain trout crusted with pecans. Really light, delicate and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend that if you’re visiting to drop by. I definitely will be!

Great place for some oysters, whether you like them raw or charbroiled they are excellent! This is a wonderful spot for some seafood if your craving it and great prices. Head there on Wednesday and you can get a dozen raw oysters for $12 or half dozen charbroiled for $9 you can’t beat that. Try out the lobster roll and lobster bisque as well and the service is excellent definitely a must try spot while in Atlanta!

We've had our last meals at Atlanta on Wednesday the 27th 2019. So happy that we ate there. Especially they've had Wednesday special oyster dozen for $9.00! Yippie. the service was an excellent . and then we've had fish .. Everything was so good!! It's looks like a bar but it is seafood restaurant. It's kinda funny but nice that atmosphere was almost we're in Main or seaport but it's in the middle of city!! It was really fantastic. I bet if you go there on weekend it;s got be busy. We were sorry that we should have find this fantastic restaurant in earlier so we could have eaten everyday! :):)

We had a dozen raw oysters, shrimp basket, and a bowl of the lobster bisque. All was fantastic. Dont have a single complain. We each had a mixed drink and bill was $60 plus tip. Reasonably priced and delicious. We stop back soon!

Have been coming here for years! Awesome food, drinks and location. Great service and atmosphere too. Indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate your preferences. However, for the love of God can someone please talk them into replacing the chairs on the lower patio? They are metal and force you to recline to a miserable position. Talk about a back ache. Everyone I know hates them and complains to management. It is such a fun open area with bar out there ... just change out the horrible seats! LOL ... the butts of Atlanta appreciate your consideration!

You'll never expect to find such good food in such a simple place :) I had lobster bisque and lobster roll, and trust me - it's the best choice to have. Btw - staff is very friendly and nice. Definately would come back.

My wife loves this place but the last few times we have been the service has been the sooooo slow. Our waitress was nice and apologetic which we appreciated but c’mon, management needs to get this going better.

Steamhouse has the best lobster roll in Atlanta. Sit in Dolly's section for the best customer service ever.

If The Steamhouse Lounge did not have a window, as you sit there enjoying their delicious seafood you could understandably be excused for imagining that you were in one of those seafood shacks somewhere down on the coast where it's all about the food. The steamed mussels I had for example, were so fresh and tender I expected to see fishing boats tied up at a pier right outside. Surprise! The only "coast line" you see out the window here is the one where cars coast to a stop at the traffic light in downtown Atlanta! That wasn't our only delightful surprise. I started with their lobster bisque and my first spoon full caused me to pause with a "What the....?!". As you may know, if you're lucky your typical lobster bisque might contain microscopic bits of the namesake shellfish the size of plankton. But here mine contained a long sliver of lobster! And when I dipped the spoon in again, I came up with still another! OMG! I began to furiously eat it as fast as I could in case the owner happened to come by and discover that the chef was giving away real pieces of lobster in the soup! Add to all this the cheerful and efficient service and a large selection of beers to wash it all down and valet parking (especially appreciated by us as out of towners) and you have all the ingredients for a totally satisfying meal. There is outdoor patio seating that seemed to be very popular with the locals the night we went. But Atlanta was in a record setting prolonged heat wave and Yours Truly preferred to heed Fonzie from Happy Days and "be cool", so we chose to dine inside. I would add this one note of caution. If my wife and I are any example, The Steamhouse Lounge is not a place to go if you're looking to sit and talk over dinner. We found ourselves so busy eating that our table conversation consisted of occasional mumbles of "How's yours?" and nods and "Um-hmmm's". But at the end of the meal you'll walk out with a smile on your face and when the hostess says "Y'all come back now!", you'll quickly nod "You bet!".

Walking-in I’m reminded of the seafood restaurants I used to go to as a kid growing-up in Florida, right down to the crackers in the table. Our server Dean was very cool and super efficient. I had the red snapper, good perfectly with a deep fried grit cake - the only thing missing was a hush puppy. Dessert was a frozen pie that could be bought at any grocer’s freezer and it was still frozen when it came to my table - skip it, but maybe get an appetizer.

The food was very good. I liked the atmosphere and how there was both indoor and outdoor seating. Service could have been better.

We’ve been going to this hidden restaurant on outskirts of Midtown for years and it’s still good. There is an indoor seating area like a sports bar with lots of TVs, outdoor patio and even a rooftop bar area. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We started with the Krab dip with pita chips (advertised as “crab” but obviously it was imitation) with pretty bland mayo, green onion dressing that needed hot sauce and seasoned salt to kick it up. Philly cheesesteak sandwich was good with sautéed onions, peppers drowned with a cheese sauce. Shrimp tacos had 3 flour tortillas filled with sautéed shrimp, lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro dressing- very tasty fresh taco. Fried scallops were awesome with light flour coating deep fried accompanied by tarter and cocktail sauces. Sides of fries, cole slaw (fresh, sweet), and pepper jack cheese grits (spicy) were good. Hush puppies were delicious so should not be missed. Full bar but no draft beers at all - just canned beers. If in the area then stop in for delicious food in comfortable “old school “ seafood restaurant setting.

Checked into the Renaissance Midtown hotel, took a walk up Peachtree and had a delicious mid afternoon trout lunch here. Just what the doctor ordered. No draft beers, but plenty of good local brews in bottles and cans. Relaxed place, with valet parking and friendly staff.

Just passing through the area so we used TA to find a seafood place in midtown ATL, close to freeway and took a chance. Parking is sparse so we used the exceedingly affordable valet. The restaurant is expansive with multiple style locations to choose from, outside garden, deck, inside up or downstairs with or without music, or even barstool options. The portion sizes were difficult to assess so we ended up ordering additional sides but found the food delicious and saved room for dessert. Our server was polite but could have given us more details on options. We were there on a Friday night without reservations and were amazed at no wait to be seated and an overall very positive experience. Not likely to be in the area again but would definitely go back.

Food is great. Nice, comfort food. Seafood is fresh. Grits are amazing. My only gripe is when we ordered the jumbo shrimp and they hadn't been cleaned. Put us off a bit. Other than that, the food was excellent and the staff was super friendly.

Everything about this restaurant & service exceeded our expectations. All the staff/bartenders were superb in their level of service while still being friendly. The crab legs bucket & hushpuppies are MUST! Be seafood in Atlanta

I noticed this spot not far from the hotel my girlfriend and I were staying in, decided to try it out and had an amazing time! We met some really nice people celebrating a birthday, great waiters/waitresses, and the food was delicious. We are both pretty particular about our food and the customer service when we do decide to eat out. I'm glad this was a winner for the both of us!

We loved this quirky place! The food and drinks were great. Service was spot on. The six of us sat in the patio area right next to the water feature with all its little oddities - very fun. But, man, those chairs on the patio were awful (all were the same). The back of the chair leaned back too much to comfortably eat and drink. The gap between the chair-back and seat allowed too much of you to fall though when leaning forward. We all agreed we might have stayed and drank longer if the seats has been more comfortable. (Maybe that's their plan for turning over tables? Lol. Who knows.)

Great food, good service and fun atmosphere and we were there on a cold Sunday evening. Looking forward to a return trip in warm weather to sit outside. Oysters were good as was the lobster bisque and Baja tacos.

Truly enjoyed it! I had the Lobster bisque with salad and it was great. The Bisque had lots of lobster meat in it and a great taste. For the salad you could choose which one you wanted from the menu! Prices reasonable, good pour of wine. I would come again!

Went here for lunch with 2 friends. The restaurant is pretty basic, but has a full bar. It reminded me of other fish and chips places I've been too, but those were nearer to the beach. I ordered the NOLA oyster and shrimp Po Boy and the others the lobster bisque and salad and mahi mahi fish tacos. Talking to them after lunch they were somewhat more positive as to their meals as I was. It's difficult to eat the Po Boy with just a fork. Anyway, besides some tartar sauce, tomatoes and lettuce it consisted of 3 deep-fried shrimps (it could have been 2) and 3 deep-fried oysters (this I am sure about). I tasted good, don't get me wrong, but I expected a little more seafood for the money. I had a bite of the lobster bisque and this was excellent. Next time I order a bowl of this. Mmmmmmm. Service was timely, friendly and professional and the restaurant clean.

This place was easy to find. The service was good. The atmosphere was comfy and fun. The food was excellent. I’d visit here again and recommend it to others.

Tasty Philly Cheesesteak and good beer and the seafood here is the best in ATL at a wonderful fair price! Thanks for the great customer service!

This is a great place for seafood lovers. I had the oysters as starters and scallops as main course, both were very good. Also tried the local beer which was excellent!

We stumbled upon this spot while walking around midtown Atlanta. Popped in and the friendly bartender answered our questions and offered a free sample of their famous lobster bisque ... and we were fans! Took a party of 7 for dinner the first night, where we dined in the backyard patio at cafe-height tables with stools and feasted on lobster bisque, lobster roll, raw oysters, shrimp boil, hush puppies .. all our fave Southern comfort foods. We returned for dinner tonight, craving another cup of lobster bisque. The blackened scallop spinach salad was delicious, as was the catfish Po’boy. We dined insider this time and enjoyed the casual, retro atmosphere. Great service provided by friendly and attentive staff, reasonable prices and daily specials. Will definitely return!

Fun, funky atmosphere. Good sized servings for reasonable prices! Awesome seafood! Sarah S was our server and she was informative and attentive. Great experience! Would go back in a heartbeat.

While in Atlanta recently my sister and I ate dinner here two nights in a row. My hotel was right next door and the people at the front desk highly recommended it. We both had their fish tacos the first night and my sister had the pecan encrusted trout while I had their grouper. Everything was fresh and cooked very nicely!

We searched for seafood and we found it. Everything was delicious…. The lister roll and bisque was worthy of it’s awards… the clams were cooked perfectly… the mahi was blackened and tasty…. even the house salad was fresh and green. Mine our service was attentive and energetic…Would highly recommend

We had heard good things about this place. However, we were not very impressed. Very lacking in meat on the lobster roll and it took a long time to get service. Looks cool-- probably won't go Back

We eat a Dozen Raw Oysters, Lobster Bisquet and the Steamed Seafood Sampler with coleslaw. All dishes were really tasty. The Sampler is really a great selection. The service was excellent, great attention and friendly

The lobster bisque was amazing! I had the Baja tacos, which were also great, and a side of pepperjack grits...the grits were the best grits I’ve ever had. My husband had grilled red snapper, which was also very good. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, so it wasn’t very busy. Service was also very good.

Perhaps the best lobster bisque I have ever tasted. All the seafood was amazing. Sitting outside was comfy but inside at the bar too. The oysters were excellent. If you want a simple, excellent value, and incredibly tasty meal then look no further. Don't miss out on this gem in Midtown!

good food great service. thanks marshall for the service. losbter roll was awesome, and seafod boil top notched

This was a great find, great food, great staff.the prices are good for family meals. The deco reminds me of a watering hole where u may find a sea captain or perhaps a pirate.

The lobster bisque and chocolate dipped key lime pie were worth going back for as we did the next day. Service was good as well as the shrimp and crab cakes

Our server, Audra-Al, expeditiously greeted us with a family smile and provided excellent service. The lobster roll/bisque combo was excellent. The grouper sandwich was grand also. Don’t be fooled by the rustic appearance, the seafood is excellent at this midtown establishment.

Wow! The food here wasn’t just good- it was fabulous! My husband and I shared a skillet dinner with shrimp, sausage, red potatoes, corn on the cob, oysters and cheese bread. Everything was cooked to perfection. My cousin had basically the same thing but with just jumbo shrimp. There were so many shrimp that he couldn’t even eat them all! I ordered a cup of lobster bisque and it was teaming with lots of delicious lobster! Our waiter, Trellis, was an absolute delight! You will not be disappointed in this restaurant! If I have time, I’m going back!!

Excellent Service and Free Valet. The Seafood and other food is all excellent and priced reasonable for what you are getting. Great upstairs and downstairs. Wheelchair accessible. Yay! Atmosphere is Sea Shanty type feel. Feels like everyone knows everyone. Everyone patrons and servers are super friendly and will talk to you. There are other choices besides Seafood on the menu so it is not hard to please all sorts of Pallets.

Food was great!!! Staff was amazing. Good setting for adults and children. Many different places to sit. ❤️❤️

OMG this place was amazing! Our server, Sapphire, was a sweet and attentive server. We had some awesome shots that were made up for us. All the food was awesome. We had lobster bisque and lobster rolls and crab cakes and hush puppies...omg the hush puppies! We also had wine and shrimp cocktail and one of our friends had the oysters. The lobster bisque was filled with lobster chunks and shredded meat. The lobster rolls were generously stuffed. Everything was awesome. No complaints!

Believe it or not it can be quite difficult to find good casual, seafood joints just to sit out on a deck and drink beer. So if you just want to have a few drinks, eat peel and eat shrimp, have raw oysters, and maybe grilled fish, this is the spot.

I really can't believe that in my 30 years of visiting Atlanta and Midtown that I have never tried this place, but I am glad we did. Of course they are famous for the Lobster bisque, and it was great, but they also had very good oysters, salad, fish tacos and crab cakes. The thing to know about this place is that it is very casual, and there is much outdoor seating, in fact we felt more like we were in the Keys or Bahamas instead of Midtown Atlanta, and the prices were very reasonable. Overall it is definitely worth a visit, and we will be back.

Excellent location with outdoor dining. Oysters and oyster po-boy good. Lobster roll good but not traditional. More lobster on bread with butter for dipping. Not prepared in the traditional way.

Because it has that beach type feel to it. The raves about the lobster bisque are spot on. Delicious. The raw oysters were fresh and the fried ones were moist, tender, and extremely tasty. I've lived in Atlanta all my life and never been before. It most definitely won't be my last visit.

Generous drink pours. Attentive service. Ample portions of perfectly steamed seafood. 3rd best ever cup of bisque. Incredibly awesome experience. We got the steamed seafood pot, bisque, a dozen oysters, a Manhattan (or 2), and a ruby red grapefruit drink.

Saw seafood and was sold, just in the area for training... Had a quick bite, and great service. I tried the salmon BLT, not going to lie, it was not my cup of tea, but it was delicious either way. The oysters were awesome, I even got a Pearl in one lol!

The steam house lounge is a local gem that is enjoyed by all. The staff is pleasant and efficient and the variety of food served can meet any picky eater's requirements.

Definitely a fantastic surprise. Oysters great, lobster in several ways (soup is delicious), environment perfect. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I found this on TripAdvisor as we were looking for seafood for my birthday dinner. There is valet parking for $2. (plus tip and really nice guys) and they directed us to the first floor rather than the daunting steps. There is a balcony that goes around I think 3 sides. Our server, Gloria was a true delight! Drinks are reasonably priced and a good pour on the wine. I ordered steamed mussels, lobster bisque and spinach salad and I was not disappointed except the bowl of bisque was more than i could finish so my husband did. He got a dozen raw oysters ( really nice sized ones) catfish and sauteed spinach. He said hte catfish was done in a panko style breading and loved the spinach. He want to go back on a Wed when they have a dozen oysters for $9. He does love his raw oysters. They have a number of ways on the menu to fix oysters so you can't go wrong. Food came nicely spaced and mine was hot. The only other place I have had mussels this good was in a 5 star Michelin restaurant in Roundstone Ireland. While the key lime pie in chocolate was not available, we each got a piece and because it was my birthday, mine was free. Very nice gesture on their part. We would go back here in a New York minute!!!

We selected this place based on high ranking on trip advisor and listed as the top seafood restaurant in Atlanta. In my opinion, this place is overrated for the quality and taste given the vast number of restaurants in the city. We dined outside which was pleasant atmosphere in the city, and very casual. The service started fine and quickly went downhill. For example, drink orders forgotten and not checking in to see how our food was or whether we needed anything etc. The food varied in quality and taste. We tried the mussels and baked garlic Parmesan oysters. The mussels were fine, although on the bland side. The oysters were not great at all—we probably should have had the raw oysters. The baked oysters were over baked and not tasty because too dried out so you could not taste the garlic butter and loaded with Parmesan on top. For meal, we had the lobster roll and bisque and catfish black and blue sandwich. The catfish was the best part of the experience. The lobster roll was not good at all. It consisted of dry lobster on a roll with a side of butter. Not really the typical lobster roll experience. The lobster bisque was ok, and seemed to have been heated too long as temperature was exceptionally hot. Overall, we were disappointed in experience as we expected better and the service and food are not what one expectes from a top rated place.

Love this place on a warm sunny day sitting out on the patio eating seafood. Food is amazing. Great place for a family and really enjoyed the service.

Went with a party of 10 and had great service and wonderful food. Atmosphere is a laid back seafood joint. Lobster bisque is legit, so was the red snapper with jalapeño grits.

Both my boyfriend and my food was awesome. The service was great and the vibe was relaxed and fun. We loved everything about this place!

We moved to GA about a year ago from Louisiana, so seafood is definitely something we love and often times miss. Our family was particularly in the mood for some fried shrimp and we decided to drive into the city for dinner after seeing this place on TA. Service was great, restaurant was very clean and our family felt comfortable with the social distancing/mask wearing/sanitation provided there. The food was great! Definitely try the lobster bisque—it’s so so good! Parking is a little difficult, but there are garages nearby that make it not a bad walk. We will definitely be back!

Have been here many times. The food is good, but they are completely ignoring COVID procedures. While the wait staff had masks on, none of them had them on property. They were either around their necks or below their noses. Wearing a mask improperly is the same and not wearing them at all. I can only hope that the City of Atlanta will fine them and/or shut them down until they agree to comply with these very reasonable procedures.

This seafood joint and bar in midtown Atlanta does not say much in appearance, but it serves tasteful food in generous portions at very reasonable prices. Their level of service is prompt and attentive. If you do not want to spend a lot while enjoying a hearty meal this is the place to go for seafood in midtown.
terrific lobster bisque
The restaurant is kind of dirty looking, kind of dumpy. We started with the buffalo shrimp which were tasty but tail on and covered with sauce. A pain to get the tail off from what should be a finger food. We got the lobster roll and lobster bisque combos for mains. The bisque was by far the best thing that we ate at the restaurant, lots of lobster, and really yummy. The lobster roll was full of a ton of lobster, but it was just cold lobster in a hot dog bun, no seasoning at all. There was a side of melted "butter" with the roll, but it did not taste anything like butter. I have made lobster rolls at home, both with mayo, and with butter, mine are much better.
