Wish this were closer to home. Love the staff. A good stop for lunch on a work day.

Great food and staff

My favorite place to stop in for a pizza or calzone when in Seattle. The staff are great and entertaining. Last time I was here we watched an impromptu dance.

Good Pizza, REALLY Slow Service (even if you do pizza by the slice)

By PhysicsLady |

I would say that the pizza is good pizza, I certainly enjoy it...but it's not the BEST pizza that Seattle has to offer by any stretch of the imagination. The only reason that we eat here is that it's convenient to work, I wouldn't make this a destination type restaurant. Be prepared for very slow service, even if you order something simple, like a pre-made pizza by the slice and a salad with a soda. Beer selection is great.

Pizzas have an amazingly tasty sauce and perfect thin crusts! Fun selection of beers.

used to be one of the best places to go, back when it was Stella not Stellar, now it isn't quite as much fun. but there's still a good juke box and the food is tasty if you're willing to wait.

Great pizza, fun staff, good atmosphere.

This place is awesome. A Georgetown staple. My only wish is that the bar was open later. Definitely worth stopping by.

Pizza Place in Georgetown

Went to the Stellar with the office staff after an office event and it was great. Not high end but the food was terrific and service was good.

Best pizza and wings in Seattle

By beecantrell |

Stellar's pizzas are never overly greasy like chain pizza places, plus their home made hot wing sauce is the best I've ever had. It has a nice spicy kick with tons of flavor. Service is generally good, but it does get packed and wait times can be long. They have a good bar selection as well as being family friendly with toys, pinball, and a photo booth. The goofy 50s interior and highly tattooed staff is always a bonus.

Not "stellar" at all

By thegoodguyz |

We ate here on our first day in Seattle, since it was within walking distance of our hotel. The place was totally empty except for one table of people that were leaving when we got there, Sunday prime dinner time. Our server was adamant that we didn't sit on the left side of the building, since we had our minor, 15 year old son with us, like there was some kind of weird stuff happening over there. The pizza was average, and we just left feeling kind of underwhelmed after spending over $50 for one pizza, 2 sodas and a beer. I think they are trying to be too cool to fit in a neighborhood with better dining options. Just because you decorate your restaurant with garage sale décor doesn't make you an upscale pizza joint. Not impressed.

Creative Pizzas

Good and different Pizzas in (no surprise) American style. Not too greasy. Place is typical Seattle "dirty" hipster bar style, but comfy.

Ehh....

By D_Kudlo |

The pizza crust was homemade and quite good. However, there was spice on EVERYTHING. The garlic bread had red pepper flakes and the pizza sauce was full of pepper so if you take a little one with they may not find anything they like (besides the icecream). The garlic cheesy bread was good but the marinara sauce was bland... it tasted like tomato sauce to me. The Georgetowner and Hawaiian pizzas was got would have been awesome had the sauce not had so much pepper. It drowned out the other flavors. They do have a nice selection of beers that you might not find anywhere else. This is not a fancy place.... very hole-in-the-wallish... which is fine. The pizza prices were a bit high ($20-30 for 16"). We probably won't be going back again because of the prices being so high and the pizza being too spicy.

Stellar Pizza Stellar Food

By AaronB69 |

Very unique for a place with Pizza in the name there are more bistro foods than pizza, but thats why it is sooo Good, Ive eaten there quite a few times trying something new every time, and Ive never had a bad meal Ive never had a meal that was just ok, Everything they serve is well... stellar, I really dont like artichoke hearts, but they had an artichoke cheese dip appetizer with a baguette slices and its fantastic, the prices are also great for the quality of food you get, they compare to a medium priced chain so you will probably spend $25 on an appetizer entree and drinks well worth it in my opinion.

A must visit whenever I'm in town

By Michelle L |

My kids and I love to visit Stellar whenever we're all together in Seattle. The pizza is amazing, as are the salads. The hummus plate is huge and awesome, and I've never been disappointed in a pie I've gotten there. There's good (but a touch loud) music, and the place can be pretty busy. There is outdoor seating when the weather's nice. I'm looking forward to my next trip back so I can stop by and indulge in Stellar again.

Excellent pizza, great atmosphere!

By Katie H |

We had a fantastic dinner at Stellar Pizza tonight. Don't go if you're in a big hurry - there is a note on the menu that pizzas take at least 25-30 minutes, and they do. The Greek Salad (full-size) was fantastic. It was large enough to feed 4 and was cold and crisp - loaded with crunchy bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, kalamata olives, red onions and was topped with feta and pita bread. The 3 different pizzas we tried were all great - the crust is crispy on the bottom and soft in the middle and there was a ton of cheese on top. Service was a bit slow to start out with - it took a while to see a server so we could order drinks and dinner.

Amazing Crust & Sauce

By Ken |

This is a funky little place that has great pie! This was our second time in and it was AMAZING! Valerie was so much fun and took great care of us! The Georgetowner, Flora Primo and the Artichoke Hearts and Crispy Bacon pie’s were excellent! I can’t wait to go back and try a couple other pizza that looked really good! Great job!

Very good pizza in a cute, funky location

By Mary C |

I was not familiar with the Georgetown location but I stumbled onto this place. WOW! The pizza was dynamite! I really noticed the sauce was very flavorful, but the crust was great and MMMMMM the cheese. Highly recommended!!! I should also mention the Blueberry Mint Lemonade was killer!!!

Waiting time sucks, even if you come before the lunch rush

By Becca_C |

I've eaten here a dozen times or so in the past 6 months, and it's always the same story: slow service, no matter if you go at 11am, 12pm or 1pm. Even if you order the first time the server comes round to take your drink order, it will be at least 45 minutes to get your food. Don't get me wrong, the food is excellent when it comes; the salads and wings are great. But the wait times never reflect the number of people dining in the restaurant. Plus, it's a little pricey for lunch in the Georgetown district. The seating isn't all that comfortable either, the cushions on the booths are ripped and the backing is unstable in some locations. The temperature is a bit on the chilled side, and it's odd that the waitresses wear so little (they are often spilling out of their tops). They are sweet, but still, the service from the kitchen suffers.

Coolest Pizza Joint

By RACHEL M |

One of the few places in town to experience that 'Old Seattle' coolness. There's a solid jukebox, a photo booth, and Rainier beer insignia. The food is great and nothing about this place feels contrived or pretentious. The pizza is seriously the largest. You really get what you pay for. The pizza combinations are very accommodating and range from classic (The Beanie) to unique (Corson Classic). Oh, and it's delicious. The wings and the mac n cheese are also notable. Get those, too. I should also mention that we had our staff holiday party here last night. Sooo great for groups! The space was perfect and we had maybe 40+ folks who all had an awesome time. The staff was fun and so incredibly helpful (S/O to Val, Phil, bar & kitchen staff!). They kept the food coming and the beer flowin. What more could you want in life?

Great for pizza and beer

My son and I have been here several times. It is a bar/restaurant. The pizza is good as is the lasagna.

Good prices if you go with your Entertainment coupon. Good atmosphere. Pizzas are great. But if you are an ethnic minority, be prepared to be the odd one out. Welcome to Whiteyville! Other than that, their patrons are pretty diverse (e.g., kids, business people, artists, homemakers, etc.).

One of the best Pizzas I have ever had

By MitchandMichelle |

If you are looking for great pizza in a fun, a bit edgy atmosphere, this is the place. Really great crust, good service and the Georgetown "ink". The beer and wine are cold and fairly priced. My wife and I share a half of a pie and we always have take home.

Great place with wonderful pizza

By MitchandMichelle |

Great place for pizza. Excellant crust and sauce. Fresh ingredient, ice cold beer and wine. But the waitresses and waiters are the best.

Fantastic Pizza!

By CynHutch |

We were visiting our Granddaughter in Seattle and she asked to be taken here. She said it was her favorite pizza place in Seattle. The first time we went, on a Thursday night, it was very busy, service friendly but a little slow. Pizza great-we had a half cheese, half w/onion, sauage and artichoke hearts. We found out the next day that a friend of one of my sons worked there so we returned again on Sunday afternoon. It was not busy at all, can't rate the service because it was our friend so of course it was excellent. We had cheese bread, veggie pizza, cheese pizza and chicken wings. It was all excellent.

Recommended!

My husband picked up a hot pesto turkey sandwich for me, so I can't review atmosphere, but the sandwich was excellent. Turkey was juicy, pesto was fresh-tasting and the ciabatta bread first-rate. For anyone staying or visiting in the Georgetown neighborhood, this is some seriously good food.

22% service charge for a group of five

By Extraordinary16093 |

Stellar is suffering from growning pains. As it has become more and more popular the quality of the output from the kitchen has dropped as well as the service. We were a group of five that had several tables completely turn before being served our meal. It took almost 90 minutes for two pizzas and a mac 'n cheese. We had to flag our waitress to get status and when the food came, no one ever checked to see if we got what we ordered or if we were satisfied with the food. Wine that was ordered never arrived. The bill was an even bigger shock. Pay close attention to your bill. We were charged for things we didn't get and even though we had almost no service we were charged almost 22% for service for a large group. The pizza was not nearly as good as the many times we have eaten there in the past and the mac n cheese had obviously sat in the oven the entire 90 minutes. The cheese had congealed and the shells were floating in grease. There was no attempt to reconcile the bill. Not going back.

Best ever

This is my new favorite place. A must try in my opinion, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable the food and drinks are phenomenal.

Very rude

By Miloslav D |

I visited on evening 6th Sep and sit at the table. Went to order a beer from a bar and was served with well informed and great barman, but when I got my beer the waiter kicked me out of my table and gave me my bag which I left there and he sit down two othet people there. I said I wanted to sit there as there are plugs and he said "we are not plugs kind of place". Shocked I sat at the bar. Wasn't served menu so took one myself, pick my pizza but was never asked from waiter. Not sure what I did to him. I asked the people he put at my table if they had a reservation, but they didn't. When I left after nearly an hour wait (yes I was hungry) I told him "I am giving up good bye" he didn't even answered me. Two stars just for the great barman.

Stellar Pizza

By Dan1946 |

Location is not the best and the place is not fancy but the pizza is great and it is a fun place and fits right into the "Seattle scene". The pizzas are of a nice size and one large will feed 4 people nicely. They feature many local crafted beers and it is fun to sample a few. Service was excellent with a friendly waitress.

Dinner

By Clay P |

This place sits in an off beat part of town and usually busy but at night is very enjoyable, so much they put covered seating out front. Pretty good pizza with plenty of their items to choose! Would have given this place a 3 star as I don't like spending 60$ and have to pay for dipping sauce but the pizza was good!

Can't go wrong with the pizza!

By canoehead |

This is a solid little joint with excellent pizza (love the 1/2 format) and good selection of local brews on tap and some decent wines by the glass. Other menu items are not as successful.

Perfectly blue collar

Initially we decided on the Old Rainer Brewery for lunch but when we got there we discovered it was not a working brewery. It had a pub, office spaces, and residential lofts. Put off, we asked around and Stellars was suggested. It took us a while to find as Georgetown (an industrial seemingly forgotten area) had a few detours. But once found we had a great time. The decor was eclectic with its mannequins, I really appreciated the numerous union patches behind the bar. It truly felt like a local's choice. The barmaids served us their own concoctions and the food was decent. Check it out and you won't want to leave!

A bit of a drive, but excellent pizza and COLD PBR! I'd go back.

So Good

I was so hungry Saturday night, I ordered Stellar Pizza, I had their Spaghetti and half a Georgetowner Pizza. It was so good. My eyes were bigger with my stomach. But this pizza was awesome.

Seattle does it again...

By OLDFirefighter |

I've said it before and I will say it again I don't really care for pizza but Seattle is winning me over. They have the best pizza I have ever had. Stellar's Pizza is not easy to find and may not look like much from the outside but their product makes it all worthwhile. We started with a goat cheese salad that was garnished with walnut halves and dressed with a nice, light Vinegar and Oil. We ordered 2 pizza, way more that 4 can eat but it gave us plenty for leftovers. The 4 cheese pizza was really nice and very mild. We also ordered a sausage and black olive pizza with onion and the combination was top drawer. All in all the pizza, salad, beer, restaurant, and neighbor were worth the search. Give it try if you have a working GPS.

Stellar Pizza, Georgetown Neighborhood, Seattle (South)

By Jim N |

Great Pizza, Very Satisifying Local Beers from Micro-Microbreweries in the Georgetown Neighborhood. Tends to get a bit Noisy, but we have usually been there on Friday and Saturday Evenings. Has a Great Vibe- Hard Working Artisans from the Glass Blowing Hotshops and Architectural Welding Studios located nearby!! No One Goes Home Hungry from Stellar!!!

Under Staffed on a Sunday!

By Ken |

First visit. Worst service ever! Walked out after waiting over 29 minutes for drink we never received even though other tables that came in after us were getting theirs! Very disappointed, left after paying for Cheese Bread we did get! Didn’t even want to wait for change! Not sure I will give it a second chance!

worth the wait!

By crabsign |

Expect to wait a little at this place for your pizza but you won't be disappointed. Great pizza with variety toppings. Not greasy. We havent tried anything else on their menus so can't comment on other food. The only thing we don't like is trying to find a park - good luck with that - carpark is always packed and parking behind the restaurant is in a bit of a dodgy area.

Great vibe. Pretty good pizza.

By AnnerAndAaron |

I haven't been to Stellar in years so I was really excited to be able to return. It has an awesome retro/hipster vibe in an up-and-coming gritty part of town. It's a fun place and we had a great server. Stellar has a good menu with salads, pastas, pizzas, beer, cocktails, and soft drinks. On this visit, our pizza was the tiniest bit burnt. I liked it but my friends did not -- that one is just a matter of taste. If you're in the Georgetown neighborhood this is a great stop for pizza and a pint. Enjoy!

Avoid the Caesar salad!

By RexTak |

First visit today and I have to say I was very disappointed. The location is in an industrial part of town, right next to I-5; it doesn't seem to be a very desirable location. The outside and inside of the restaurant look run down. The booth we sat in had wooden benches which were uncomfortable. The place had an odd smell to it, maybe from all the spilled beer and ale. It seemed more like a tavern than a restaurant. Our server was attentive and the food arrived quickly. However, my Caesar salad was made from very old lettuce with brown showing on almost every stem piece. The dressing didn't have much flavor. I could only eat a few bites and gave up. I would have sent it back to the kitchen except that this restaurant was suggested by my client with whom I was having lunch and I didn't want to diss his selection. He had two slices of Hawaiian pizza, which he said was ok, but nothing special. It may be that we just visited on the wrong day (Tuesday for lunch) and maybe they are better on the weekends? Maybe I was wrong to order a salad at a pizza joint? I don't like to write negative reviews, but I just felt I had to warn others about this place, at least to avoid the Caesar salad.

Try the Greek Salad

By jcd1000 |

Loved the Greek Salad- fresh vegetables and a very generous portion. My guy and I shared a half salad and it was just right. The beer was cold and the Georgetowner pizza was very good. The service by Phillip was stellar!! Thanks for the good dinner :)

Great Pizza

By Robert C |

I like my pizza with a crispy crust and bottom. I got it here with no grease. I ordered half a pizza (4 slices) and could only finish three. I had the Georgetowner which was topped with Pepperoni, Itallian Sausage, olives and onions. My wife had Eggplant Parmigiana which she enjoyed. This is a yes.

Funky joint with average food and friendly service

By Dana D |

Went with coworkers last week for an after work happy hour birthday celebration. They had pizza by the slice and some various appys on the HH menu. Everyone got a slice of either cheese or pepperoni (the only options) and we also sampled hot wings, Mac and Cheese, and the hummus plate. Hummus plate: huge, tasty, worth $7 Pizza: good, but nothing special Wings: sauce was great, but the chicken was very fatty an the wings were pretty small. Mac & Cheese: this has to be the most tasteless thing I have ever tried!!! The cheese tasted like NOTHING! It had a dried out chalky flavor of low-fat cheese that had been over warmed in a microwave and then left to cool. YUCK. Service: amazing! The ladies were prompt and friendly, and quick to take orders. Overall, I'd go back for happy hour and get hummus, beer, and maybe a slice. That is, if I find myself in the area... which rarely happens.

Great pizza, great service, OK price

If you can find parking and make your away around temporary detours, this is a great place to eat great pizza.
