Well regarded restaurant with classic east coast dishes with a contemporary twist. Great atmosphere and wide range of meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes. park Slope has been gentrifying for decades and the Stone Park Cafe highlights the many changes. Good for brunch too. One slight quibble is the bar has dozens of whiskey's and wine, but only 2 real gin choices - when are the States going to join the small batch gin market?

Everything about this restaurant experience was excellent. The service, the quality of the food, the menu selection (so interesting!), and the ambience. We loved this restaurant -- it was not so noisy that you could actually talk in regular conversation voice. And everyone -- there were 6 of us -- liked what they ordered. We had salad, lamb sausage, octopus, meat tartin, and amazing shredded brussel sprouts. For main courses, we had cod, lamb, gnocchi, shrimp with squid ink pasta, and side of onion rings. The dessert choices were all good and we tried 4 different ones, enough for 6 people to split. The mixed drinks from the bar did not spare the booze so one drink was stong enough for the evening! And they have a large wine selection. Would definitely go back here and recommend that you go any time you are near Park Slope in Brooklyn.

We had a fantastic lunch here a few weeks ago. The service was great and the food was absolutely wonderful. My husband had the corn soup which was delicious and also beautiful in presentation. We both had sandwiches as well. The bread was excellent and everything was thoughtfully put together. I would definitely go back!

i thought the visit would be better, but the food, while good, is not great. We had steaks with sides and wine - pretty good, but nothing really worth a special visit. The service was very good, and the apps and salad also stood out versus the entrees which were not fantastic, and pricey.

I was recommended this place by a friend , and what a wonderful restaurant is it. We were a party of 6 , and from the moment we stepped inside we were made to feel like the only people there . Mel who looked after us was just amazing , not only in serving and looking after us she also described the menu and specials so well . Food was awesome , presentation matched the tastes . I highly recommend this place . Thank You Mel and the team at Stone Park Cafe for a very memorable evening !

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Brooklyn! Great service, great food and great drinks. Started with the octopus appetizer and then a 40 oz rib eye. Wow it was cooked to perfection! I have been to many of the top eats in Brooklyn and this is consistently one of the best. Must go!

My husband, daughter and her partner went here for brunch last week. The outside seating was nearly full but our waitress suggested a table right inside that area with full light and it was perfect. Lots of great menu options and my daughter and I got the avocado toast with poached egg,her partner got the fish taco and my husband got the eggs benedict. Coffee, water and wine (me) were served. The waitress was very helpful with the menu explanations and attentive throughout but not intrusive. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was very comfortable and the service was excellent. I highly suggest you try the Stone Park Cafe.

This place was great. Good music to start the day with good vibes. I had an omelet with some of the home made hot sauce. Very good pancakes from what my girlfriend said. I would go back.

Stone Park has become a Park Slope staple because the food is so damn tasty! It is not the most beautiful space or the most innovative, but it is reliably so good. The scallops and marrow tacos are quite a treat, as is the dinner burger. Just had one of their specials - tomato soup - which was probably the best tomato soup I've ever had. Friendly and efficient service, kind of noisy, but it does not disappoint!

Great place for brunch. Food is hot and delicious, staff is awesome. Its always a line out the door so come early.

We went for a late lunch during the holiday season after doing some shopping along 5th Avenue. I was told to make a reservation so we did. I was glad that I did as it was packed when we got there, but empty when we left. Our waitress was on autopilot and a bit disinterested in us and life in general it seemed. The menu was limited, the food was average, the drinks pretty good (even though they forgot one of our orders) and dessert was lackluster looking so we opted not to have any. We all just ordered coffee and again they forgot one of our orders. The atmosphere was nice and my daughter has dined here before and said it was great....so we might give it another try...Maybe

F old & service were ok but the taste of food did compare w ith Saturday nite in Janauary . Will try again

Wow! Just wow! In Manhattan for an overnight and on the way out stopped in Park Slope to have supper with family and friends. When I called for a reservation the staff was extremely easy going and accommodating - we weren’t sure how many would be in our party. The Stone Park Cafe was by far and away the best meal we had on our trip! The wait staff was fantastic as well

We had a very nice Saturday night dinner out at Stone Park Cafe. There was a wonderful octopus appetizer with chorizo. The salmon and the burger were quite good. Small menu which changes regularly. There are dozens of wines by the bottle. The beer list is eclectic, includes local craft brews from Brooklyn and Bronx, and far flung locales. This is not a large restaurant, there are two levels. Stone Park Cafe received two stars from the NY Times many years ago, and it is still going strong.

We didn't actually eat in the cafe (will next visit) but were in the attached party venue. Fabulous place and the canapes and buffet excellent.

loved everything here. the food is very good and tasty. the setting is not snobby. service is very accommodating. we ordered the fish here and its very fresh!

The food at this place is absolutely incredible but there are several things you have to put up with her to experience it. Parking is a real challenge in this neighborhood. And there are no sound barriers in the restaurant so it is extremely noisy. Tables are also very tight so you are within a few inches from other diners. Many positives about the food though. Started with a delicious Blackberry Bramble cocktail followed by the shaves Brussels sprout salad. As a moan course, I had the Pork Shank which was huge and my husband had the best Hangar steak he ever had. The vanilla flan looked amazing but we couldn't eat another bite. So good and quite worth the other hassles overall.

Great food and great service. Definitely make it a point to eat dinner at this restaurant. Make reservations.

Just terrific. outstanding food and service. Be warned if your "old school" they welcome children but they raise them properly in Park Slope. The wine list has some good choices that are not overpriced but you can go upmarket if you like.We went at 6 pm it was not full but busy reservations are a must

On our last evening in Brooklyn visiting family we found this place after a rainy walk back to my daughters apartment. Our server was real attentive and we found the menu selections to be very diverse. Three of us chose Italian no surprise there. My son in law had a whole fish of some kind that kept him busy and happy. Good spot in Park Slope.

Was told this was one of the best restaurants in Park Slope - It was a disappointment. Started out with the mushroom soup. Tastefully tasteless! More of a puree, I would have liked it to have a bit more texture with "pieces of mushroom." But what should you expect for $12? Next course - duck breast with cherry reduction and cassoulet. I'm not one for duck with "fruit" so I asked that the sauce be served on the side. The waiter recommended medium and therefore I ordered the duck medium. When it arrived it was "bleu." It was RAW! Had to send it back, and I think they put the plate under the warmer, because when it came back several moments later, it was still raw. Sent it back a third time and not much better. This is the first time in memory that I have ever had to send a dish back. The duck cassoulet was terrible and tasteless! The service was excellent, now only if the food were as good as the service!

My wife and I finished a long day of shopping here We started our day in Williamsburg and finished it in the Park Slope neighborhood where this cafe is located. I had the Swiss Chard Ravioli and my wife had the Salmon. The meal was quite good and the service was excellent.

Stopped in for Saturday brunch with a group of four on Saturday afternoon around 1:30. We had a 25 minute wait, but well worth it. Great brunch options, good coffee and real fresh squeezed orange juice. Added so much to our day of exploring Park Slope

We made a reservation for a Saturday night and sat outside since it was a warm October evening. I love the ambience of the restaurant and it's not super noisy and chaotic like a lot of other area establishments. We tried the cavatelli pasta dish, a burger and a wonderful halibut entree. Warm bread was served prior to this and everything was very good. Our server was prompt and friendly. Would definitely recommend coming here for a drink or dinner.

It has been too long since we have been to Stone Park Cafe. We needed a central Slope place, and I remembered SPC. I am glad I did. The food was wonderful. Great drinks and wines by the glass. Everyone found something that they really wanted to eat and no one was disappointed. We will be back - soon.

Three of us lunched at this restaurant for the first but definately not the last .$25 for an excellent 3 course is a great deal, particularly in buzzy surroundings with super attentive servers.the food was fresh, imaginatively cooked and presented, and the wine list comprehensive.

Stopping someone on the street, they recommended that we eat here. We are so grateful! Our respective luncheons were superb. I jumped at the choice of the prix fixe $24 lunch of salmon tartare, a fish course, and sorbet for dessert. It was excellent. Not a flaw. Service was attentive but not overly so. We ate outside, so were treated to the laughter of children at play in the park next door. The expense came from the inevitable second glasses of wine, relished as much as the meals. These flavors do not come easily nor lightly. Well worth the stop.

I was here for an party and the facility met they hype. The service and staff was very good. The food was tasty and just regular. Nothing special to write home about but this was a buffet catered affair. I was there to celebrate with friends and the venue met the needs.

My husband and I stayed in New York for three weeks in December, and tried lots of different cafes/restaurants in our time. At each place, we experienced either good food or good service. This was the only place where both the food and service were both fantastic. We were taken care of from the second we walked in the door. We felt at ease right away as our waiter clearly explained everything to us. We visited for brunch and the food was simple, yet perfected. You could tell it had been prepared with care. There wasn’t a thing we could fault. Thank you for giving us both great service and great food!

Last time we've been here was for dinner! But I recommend this place also for brunch! Anyway, the restaurant is charming and cozy but for some reason, quite loud when full. So, if you can choose, it's better to sit outside. Our service was impeccable! When I made the reservation I asked for an high chair and when we arrived there we found it at the table! No need to remind it! Food came out quickly and everything was delicious. If I have to say, I took the lamb and the portion wasn't so generous. Awesome desserts!

Most restaurants, especially in Manhattan, are trying to get you to leave as quickly as possible. No time between starter and main course and you get the bill without even asking. This restaurant is very different. They give you plenty of time to get a drink first and the time to order. There is time between the courses, they wait until you ask for the check and there is no rush. So it's going out to dinner and not just eat which is the case in so many restaurants in New York. And the food is great also which is also important. It's a bit of a travel from Manhattan but well worth it.

For starters we enjoy the rib slider with quail egg, spinach and house pickled vegetables or the lamb sausage with smoked cranberry beans, lamb bacon and arugula and a mint yogurt vinaigrette. Share a half bottle of the ’10 Land & Reed cabernet franc with either. Picking an entrée here is no easy choice. The whole grilled fish stuffed with lemon and herbs is one and the other is the pan seared Chatham cod with bacon, leeks, potatoes and oyster crackers. To complement our entrées Josh recommends the ’10 Erbaluce, La Rustia, Orsolani Piedmont. Dessert is their chocolate brioche pudding with caramel ice cream.

Nice restaurant but some of the worst service I’ve ever had. The waiter was not remotely friendly didn’t check in after we got some of our food and seemed irritated when we asked about remaining order and for ketchup for our fries

We went for Brunch. Had to wait for a table, but it was worth it. The food was good and the service was perfect.

Great food, excellent service, a comprehensive wine list in a manageable format, and a lively packed dining room on Saturday night make Stone Park Cafe a reliable choice for an outstanding and enjoyable meal. A good variety of choices, from an appetizer of beet tart tatin, through blackfish entree, to apple raviolis for dessert, with a champagne cocktail, a bottle of Vouvray, and a Calvados provided a great dinner birthday celebration. The only negative was the volume was a little loud, but that's to be expected in a popular place during prime time.

We were there last night, Friday night. It was not very busy and the evening started out well. We asked a few questions before selecting our appetizers and main courses, then our waiter seemed to decide that we were not worthy of his full attention. The food was amazing !! We actually asked to see manager because of the lack of respect our waiter showed our table. The manager apologized but really half heartedly, we paid our bill left a tip but will never go back.

We were able to get a table at 10:30 am for brunch without a reservation - place was booked up all day. Good food, lots of choices.

I was so pleasantly surprised to find such a fine dining place as this in Park Slope. The food is creative, tasteful, and well-prepared. It was worth every penny!!!

Looking for a place to eat Friday evening and we happened to stumble into this wonderful restaurant. We sat at the bar and were hosted by a lovely bartender, Luis. We ordered an assembly of appetizers and side dishes that included brussels sprouts, spicy broccoli rabe, and a lovely Swiss chard ravioli with brown butter. The wine selection was delightful and the cocktails are for all types of people. Dessert was excellent. I must tell you if you're in Brooklyn you cannot miss this lovely restaurant.

A friend suggested we meet at this place near his home in the upscale Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. I noticed that the Stone Park had been cited for its quality in an older Michelin Guide I had, so my wife and I were eager to go. Quite a walk from the Brooklyn Museum where we had been just beforehand, but mostly downhill and through interesting Park Slope. Our seating was ready when we arrived on time. The food we ordered was quite good, but the tables were a bit too close together for complete comfort and the waiter we had was, shall we say, rude at times rather than helpful. The servers (different from the waiter) got the plates mixed up. No big deal, still, an overall impression that service isn't the first order of business here. Prices were above average. The wine our friend selected was good and not excessively expensive. Would I go again? Maybe. But not with the sense of anticipation we experienced the first time.

We moved into Park Slope 2 weeks ago and in that time the Stone Park Cafe has already become a favorite. The market menu in the evening is fantastic value and the food is of a superb quality. The brunch is very varied, again great value and great quality. The service is brilliant and the surroundings is lovely. I can't think of anything that should change!

Nice space. Outside table very nice. good food, staff friendly. But so so loud. The brunch menu doesn’t change over time and offer comfort food, not too generous sizing.

There are several excellent breakfast and brunch spots in Brooklyn but this is the best I have found. Excellent service outstanding food with some really interesting dishes on the menu. Try the corn grits with a poached egg. I will go back for that. Great Ambiance and service

I wondered why the attitude of the staff was so condescending until I met the owners. Then it became clear lack of respect for others was the company style

Everything was top notch. The food was prepared perfectly with an amazing variety of both breakfast and lunch items. The service was superb with Michael taking care to be sure we had everything we needed. We will be eating here again before we leave NY.

This place was an ideal setting for a Saturday brunch. It was nice and sunny so we waited for a place on the terrace, we were texted once the table was available. Good food and friendly service!

Fantastic food great service. Ate here on a Saturday evening and can't find fault. Our waitress was brilliant, she described all the dishes perfectly and nothing. was too much trouble

We sat at the bar and loved the friendly service and the straightforward menu. Great selection of salad, pastas, fish and meats!

i live around the corner and go there often. food is excellent and fresh. service can be bit slow, so don't go if you are in a hurray. it is across the street from a large open historic park so light and views are very good.

My husband and I had dinner at The Stone Park Cafe last week and it was a terrific experience. We had a 6:30 reservation and were greeted and seated quickly at a quiet table in the back of the restaurant. We enjoyed delicious cocktails (try the gin and tonic) and I had two small plates--a frisée salad with bacon, roast potatoes, and topped with a "crispy poached egg." Three tempura fried oysters served atop cauliflower purée and bok choy followed, also delicious.

Stone Park cafe is definitely a cafe to visit in Brooklyn. Just the fact that its so crowdy, by locals, states the fact that this is the place. We had great salads wide siders that was a full meal for the mid day needs

Another reliable review - thank you Tripadvisor. We stopped by at 9pm and had the lamb dish which was cooked to your taste and came with the softest gnocchi and amazing onions.

We wanted a charming place, quiet, good food & service & we got it all! The atmosphere was lovely & you had a choice of near the bar upstairs, outside or inside on the lower level. We chose upstairs & we were quite comfortable. The menu offered much to choose from including a full dinner menu. We select just the main course from the dinner menu. I had the crab cakes that were simply delicious. My friend had the hanger steak that was yummy as well. The server was very attentive, but not overly so! Good choice!!

Fantastic food lovely staff, would definitly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone visiting Brooklyn. Please go here.

Stone Park Cafe is next to an historic stone house that was the center of the Revolutionary War battle for Brooklyn Heights. It is a warm and inviting place for families, hipsters and tourists alike. Brunch on Saturday offers choices for everyone, I especially liked my braised beef and eggs

Haven't been to Park Slope in over 20 years; glad to see it's thriving and attracting great venues like Stone Park Cafe. We had a delicious, well-served meal with gracious service. It was a long drive and we hit quite a lot of traffic however our phone call alerting the restaurant was well-received and we were met at the door with a smile and seated immediately. Enjoyed a leisurely meal and despite the place filling up while we were there, our waitress never neglected us and engaged in friendly conversation.

Went for Saturday brunch and the coffee was very good, even though the first attempt was so tepid I had to wait for a second cup. The server kindly explained that we'd arrived 15min before they stopped serving brunch. (I guess it stands to reason that that's also the bewitching hour for expecting fresh coffee.) It was tasty when hot. But the famed short rib hash was fatty, gristle-y and lacked flavor. The scrambled eggs on top were soft & fluffy. Jury's out on whether SPC merits a return trip.

What a truly lovely place to dine. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere, diverse menu well priced and generous wine and drinks menu. The service is exemplary, special mention to Billy and Andreas. ❤️ With all the hustle and bustle of NYC, the restaurant is breath of fresh air. 5 star.

I had the delicious asparagus gnocchi! Dining by myself, I sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the owner's Dad. The food is delicious!

Not one of my favourite places to visit again. The menu had a good range of options and I opted for the Three course dinner menu, where the options were salad/soup,steak/fish and dessert.I opted for the butternut squash soup which was ok,then steak which was very small but tasty.I was expecting vegetables and potatoes but they were there hidden underneath the small steak. The vegetable was roasted lettuce and the tiny piece of potatoe was hardly enough to taste.the dessert was tirimasu which was very nice and an ok portion.I though it was expensive for what I got but I suppose it is located in an upmarket area. The childrens menu was good value with a burger and fries for $15.Service was satisfactory

Service and food is excellent. The menu offers many choices;one dish is as good as another---The kale salad is exceptional

Visiting my millennial grandson in Brooklyn , he took us to this Resturant since his friends have raved about the food and ambiance. How right there were in their raving . They food is superior dining! The service is outstanding. The prices ,although on the pricey side , are fair for fine dining ! The Price Fox dinner selections were wonderful for choices of Meat and Fish. You don’t have to go to Manhattan for good fine Dining!

Wonderful meal, pretty room, accommodating waiters, noisy atmosphere. I loved that they could fit us in on short notice without a reservation.

This was our first visit after hearing rave reviews. We chose it for my birthday and we were thrilled to sit outside on the lovely terrace, as it was very loud inside. It's a perfect place for a special occasion (expensive!), the food was well prepared, inventive, fresh ingredients and stunning presentation. The wine list was impressively extensive, our server was well versed and helped us pick a perfect accompaniment for our main courses. Okay, so now the bad part - the service was SO SLOW. Again, it was romantic and relaxing, but we had to inquire about every course and about our bottle of rosé that had been stashed away to remain chilled - every time we'd sit there with empty glasses, finally we just kept it with us, sweating on the table. The server was apologetic (most of the trouble was with the kitchen) and polite, but it got to be rather ridiculous.

My husband and I went here for dinner recently with my mother-in-law who was visiting from out of town. We ordered two of the burgers and an artic char. They had a tuna tartare as a special which was good but not memorable. All were delicious;however, the kitchen was really backed up so the entrees took a long time to come out. The waiter remedied that by bringing us the shaved brussel sprout salad to hold us over. A nice gesture. All in all a good neighborhood restaurant but it is imperative that you make a reservation.

Had a splendid meal here recently; as there were five of us we occupied the center round table in the back dining room. The high level of this restaurant is evident not only in its food but in the quality of its waitstaff, which is top-caliber. Even some standout servers from the lamented River Cafe have found their way here, it was wonderful to see Seliane again! Lamb sausages to start, a full serving of pasta to follow (half-portions can be ordered, which is an excellent menu option) and a $180 magnum of Barolo, plenty for five people and very reasonably priced. There is no question that Stone Park is operating in the upper tier of Park Slope restaurants, with few companions. Like Convivium and Al Di La, it couples its evident kitchen expertise with talent on the floor, and the result is a lovely dining experience on every level.

A party of 5 ate there in the last month. After looking back at the menu, I honestly couldn't rate this restaurant with any accuracy. It was not memorable in any sense. I guess that no memory of the meal is telling in and of itself. I would not go back.

Stone Park has been around for several years and has a great reputation. We finally tried it and wish we had dined there earlier - it's so good! The vibe is stylish and "adult," less hipsterish than many places in the neighborhood and casually elegant. My dining partner loved the marrow tacos although I found them a bit rich. We both had pasta, both great (no longer on the menu and I can't remember exact ingredients..). Very comfortable and good service. Definitely recommended.

I live in Park Slope, and have been going to Stone Park for seven years. I love this place! The food is always delicious, and very high quality. I'm picky about meat, but I'd eat their delicious burger any day of the week. The staff are amazing. They really know their stuff, and always take great care of us.

i called a few days before at placed a 7;30 resv for fri night. we arrivered at little early and stopped at the bar for one drink. the service at the bar was good. there were a few people having dinner at the bar and all seemed happy . it's also a small but nice looking bar apx 7-8 chairs. if i was by myself i would have no problem eating at the bar. we were seated at a table for two. the waitress came right over and we placed a drink order. after the drinks arrived she wented over the menu and some speicals . we order two apps one special tuna and the grilled octopus. they were both very good . but the octopus was outsanding. my wife ordered grilled steak , med rare. it's plane ,but that's whats she likes. i had shimp with black squid spaghetti. this was outstanding. .. we end the meal with two desserts , one was the chocolate pudding which was very good ( i find it hard not to like anything chocolate) . the other was pumpkin ravioli with ice cream . how does outstanding sound and two coffees . overall the dinner was great. if i had to say one thing . i wish the portions were a little bigger because they were so good. the service was very good , not rushed. they do a good job here. the price was fine just like any good restaurant. i would go back anytime...

At out dinner for four. everyone liked salads/appetizers very much, and main courses were also very good. Service was better than OK but not by a lot (our waitress insisted on keeping our white wine and then not filling our glasses - when we insisted on keeping the bottle, she wasn't pleased...); wait staff are also a bit noisy. Indeed the whole restaurant is quite noisy when full. It's a good idea to eat outside if you can, though the tables are a bit uncomfortable for long-legged people. On the whole, the menu is large, varied and the food really quite good.

My wife, son and I were in Brooklyn this weekend and came across the Stone Park Cafe a short walk from our Hotel. The food was outstanding. We started with an appetizer of Shaved Brussels Sprouts with Red Onion, Lemon and Pecorino. This was one of the best shaved Brussels sprout recipes I have seen. For the main course we had the Ricotta Cavatelli, with tasso ham, sugar snap peas, garlic, and maitake mushrooms . It was perfect. For desert, we had the Coconut Sorbet and a Grateaud Cognac. Service was good even though the cafe was packed. Would come back in a minute!! We are still talking about the meal

Enjoyed a delicious dinner. Unique selections on the menu. The decor is very clean and trendy. But the complaint I have was the noise level. The type of music didn't match the space. Music was also a little loud and therefore you had to speak louder which made the whole sound level in the place loud.

3 friends stopped in for drinks and appetizers and were treated to perfectly concocted Manhattans by a very accommodating bartender (should have asked her name but...) Could have used more "finger-type" bar food as what we ordered was good but hard to share at the bar, but all and all a great place to get in from the cold and imbibe.

This is a great neighborhood gem. We came here on Monday night for dinner. Reservations were made on the spur on open table. So that was easy. It's a big enough restaurant and will be great for a weekend brunch. They have outdoor seating. The ambiance is casual and cozy. We were seated right away. Soon I was looking at a 20 page wine list. They have an excellent selection of wine. You can order by the glass which costs anywhere between 10 - 14$ all the way to a $400 wine bottle. I was definitely impressed with the variety. Since both of us decided to not drink that night we went straight to ordering the food. Once we placed the order for dinner, we were served with bread. The bread was sourdough and it was delicious specially because it had just come out of the oven. It was hot and tasty. Here is what we ordered: Heirloom Beet Salad: frisée, toasted hazelnuts, crème fraîche vinaigrette - The salad was scrumptious. Not at all over dressed and very delicious. A well done salad. The hazelnut added the perfect crunch. The corn soup was very light too. Even though it had crème fraîche, it was not at all heavy. Lovely flavors. Squid Ink Tagliatelle: chipotle pepper, gulf shrimp, pancetta - We ordered the half portion of this pasta without the pancetta. Was a good choice. Had some bold flavors. There was a subtle amount of spice and the portion size was perfect. Swiss Chard Raviolini: seasonal mushrooms, sage, pine nuts - Half portion. I was absolutely blown away by the flavors of this raviolini. It was super delicious. There was strong lemon flavor in the background and i generally don't like tangy things, but this was complementing the mushrooms and the pasta sauce perfectly. Overall a lovely dish. Would def. order it again. Desert: Chocolate Brioche Pudding- caramel ice cream - I was a little disappointed with the Brioche pudding. It was nothing like a pudding. Rather it reminded me of a chocolate lava cake. We even asked the server and she confirmed that it was made out of Brioche. The flavors were ok, not bad but this is not what we had in mind when we ordered it. The caramel ice cream was good. Overall, i liked the food and would definitely come back here. I believe they use local ingredients and their brunch is great too. The bill was under $70. Slightly on the expensive side, considering we had only half portions of the pasta. But the food quality was great so worth every penny!! P.S. - If you book them through open table for dinner, they do not let you change the reservation after 6pm on open table. So you have to call in to make any changes to the reservation. But the restaurant is accommodating and gladly canceled our reservation on another occasion.

I visited Stone Park Cafe as a party of three. We sat outside and were waited on within minutes of seating. This is the second time I've visited. I made a reservation on open table and needed to change it for an earlier time. I called directly and talked with a pleasant man who was able to accommodate my request. The reason we chose to be seated outside is that inside the seating is somewhat tight and it is quite loud inside. Our service was excellent. Our food came out of the kitchen quite quickly. As a bonus, from our table we could see into the kitchen. The meals we received were delicious and well portioned. I can safely recommend the Scottish salmon, the roast chicken and lamb chops. Thank you, Stone Park Cafe for a lovely dinner. Would go back.

We arrived after 1:30pm on a Ssaturday for a late brunch and were told that we would have an hour wait. It turned out to be closer to 40 minutes but once we sat down, it was worth it. We all had delicious omelettes with toast and coffee, along with well made bloody marys, and we were all very happy with our choices. Service was very good and our corner table in the back room was quiet enought to allow us to talk and hear one another. We'll be back.

In town for business and cousin recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Located amid the bustle of Park Slope made parking an issue, but the service was prompt, unfussy, and informative for our group of 8, and food selection was sufficient and tasty. Limited dessert offerings, but if you are a fan of ice cream or sorbets, that is not a problem. I would return.

I live in Brooklyn, and my husband and I have talked for years about going to Stone Park Cafe. It just never turned out to be where we actually landed. We finally ended up going for my husbands birthday. I could kick myself for waiting so long. I have nothing bad to say about this place. The food - amazing. The service - attentive but not overbearing. The cocktails - spectacular. The ambience - lovely. I had a squid ink pasta with a creamy coconut white sauce and crab. When I saw it on the menu I was a little trepidatious. Coconut with pasta? But when I go to a place with a really good reputation, I like to step out of my comfort zone a little. So glad I did. I would eat that dish once a week without hesitation. Honestly every single dish that we tried was ranging from excellent to extraordinary. If there was any weak moment it's that the sommelier's description on the wine we purchased was far more interesting than the wine actually tasted. But the wine was still very good and priced well. We have a tradition of going somewhere new on birthday's otherwise we would have been back 2 months later for my birthday. Looking forward to eating here again soon!

We discovered Stone Park Cafe quite late in our month long stay in Park Slope, however early enough that we were at least able to make a return visit. Over the two meals, we tried four of the pastas - all delicious, a squid ink tagliatelle with seafood and a ricotta cavatelli were our favourites, but whatever you choose, you can't go wrong. The chicken and the fish were both really good as was the steak which we had on both occasions. Must have starter dish though is the scallop and marrow taco. Do not miss this one. Service was excellent - we were really made to feel welcome. Ambience and music was very pleasant and the wine list was well priced with a good range of options. Having tried the other worthy contender, we thought Stone Park Cafe was not only the best 5th Ave Italian but one of our favourite restaurants on our holiday.

We visited the Stone Park Cafe last evening with our son, his girlfriend and her parents in from California. We came up from Philadelphia. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area! The service was excellent!!! I believe that all 6 in the party very much enjoyed their meals. I had the bacon wrapped scallop appetizer........wonderful! The little dipping drizzle sauce was fabulous. Dinner was fresh linguini with shrimp and clams.......incredible. We had folks who liked the vegetarian route and others who like the more traditional chicken/meat and potatoes. They satisfy both and do it well. I am a bit picky..... I am not so quick to recommend a restaurant. I loved my dinner, the service and will be visiting the Stone Park again! I forgot to take a photo......sorry about that.

I've come here a few times and always love the food. There are a lot of different and interesting food choices. Can't go wrong with the eggs Benedict but my favorite is the biscuits and gravy. Might not be for everyone since it's on the heavier side.

Sunday brunch on a beautiful Sunday. A 30+ minute was passed by touring a local farmer’s market next to Washington Park. Service was good with a variety of entrees. This is a good place for brunch. Everyone in our party enjoyed their selection.

Excellent dishes. Quality is well above other restaurants in the neighborhood. Great service and comfortable atmosphere. The homemade squid ink tagliatelle was divine. My wife got the grilled whole branzino. Not overdone and perfectly seasoned with herbs. We'll definitely become regulars.

Best dinner we had in a week spent eating all over Brooklyn's Fifth Avenue. The food is excellent, and the server helped a member of our party with food allergies choose one dish and got the kitchen to modify another. A variety of interesting dishes and cocktails and good wine choices.

The end of a love affair is always a painful experience. The memory of those very things that brought you joy are now a source of sorrow. Those market lunch menu that never ceased to surprise me with the quality of their ingredients and the creativity of their recipes are gone. Those amazingly enticing deserts are no more. Now dullness sank in with its average fried chicken and burger or uninspiring salads. What happened? After years of love affair today we said our bitter farewells, knowing I will never see you again and will miss you dearly.

The food is excellent, and the service as well. Arrived around 6 p.m. on a Saturday evening and was seated right away. The menu is rather limited, however, and prices were on the high side. What we ordered, however, was all very good and creatively prepared. Pasta dish was homemade and one of the best. Parking is on the street.

Great brunch, great dinner, great food. I have been here several times and have never had a bad experience. And the english muffins are made in house!

We went for a special family dinner to celebrate birthdays and the whole experience was special. The food was inventive, fresh, and varied, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely go back on a next visit to Park Slope to try their brunch or lunch. Recommended for sure.

Hi had a great breakfast there. The food was very delicious and fresh. The staff is extremely friendly..... I will go again.

We stopped in on a whim walking to a friends place and were thrilled with how good our food was. It was quite possibly the best Egg's Benedict I've ever had! A perfectly cooked egg, Spinach & Canadian bacon atop a freshly made English muffin, and I don't mean freshly toasted I mean made from scratch English muffin! Next time we're in Park Slope we'll definitely be stopping in for another brunch.

The restaurant is clean and pleasant and offers outside and inside dining. The service was good. The food is generally good except that the chef over salts the food. So, unfortunately, some of the dishes seriously suffer as a result. In particular, the homemade linguini with anchovies and garlic was barely edible. On the other hand, the pork chop was excellent and the linguini with clams was good. There is an extensive wine list with good wines at every price point.

Saturday brunch was very good. Service was excellent, and our small granddaughter was especially happy. Unusual and tasty entrees. Go early as a party of five for a window seat.

Our party of 4 came in one Sunday afternoon a little before 11, right after we had just run a 5k race in Prospect Park. The wait for a table was about 20 minutes, or we had the option of sitting by the bar, which was no wait. We opted for the latter because again, we had just run a 5k and we (and when I say we, I mean I) were hangry. Now I normally don't order omelettes because I feel like I can make pretty good omelettes at home, and they're not usually worth the price tag. And that is probably the main reason I go out to eat - to try foods that I couldn't make (well) at home. However, there was nothing else on the menu that really appealed to me, so the omelette is what I ended up getting. You can choose 4 ingredients, so I went with bacon, tomatoes, spinach, and pepper jack - can't forget the cheese. This came with a side of home fries and toast. This could be the best omelette I have ever eaten - way better than anything I could ever make at home. The eggs are perfect - not just perfectly cooked, but just perfect. They look so pretty! Plus the home fries, which most other places use as a filler, were pretty good here. So I looked at it more as a complement to the omelette, as opposed to something to make you full because the omelette might not be enough. I only wish Stone Park Cafe was closer to where I lived. Then I could have their omelettes whenever I wanted. TIP - ask for the Salamander hot sauce. This might be my new fave.

If you're lucky enough to get Alex as your server you will get excellent service. If not, you may still get great service. In either case you will definitely get geat food. We went there with our daughter and her husband who live in Brooklyn. We sat near the kitchen in what was a very bistro-like section. We started with exellent mixed drinks and appetizers. We had the scallop and marrow tacos, the grilled octopus and the grilled pizza. All very good. For entrees we shared the pasta, lamb, scallops, Branzino and the onion rings. Again, all very good. We shared all five desserts on the menu: the pistachio nougat, the brioche pudding, the affogato and one other I cannot remember. We also had an excellent wine for dinner, a great London Ale and an after dinner Port. It was an excellent dinning experience topped with great service.

Fortunately we had made reservations so had a nice table in the rear portion of the restaurant which was less noisy. One of their specials, skate was not available so they substituted rainbow trout which was cooked to perfection. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. A very enjoyable Dinner. I definitely will be going back next Visit to Brooklyn.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night - party of 5. Nice round table so we could all talk to each other. The ambience was pleasant. The menu was eclectic and interesting, though not extensive. Everyone found something they liked. The food was attractively presented. The portions were just right in size. The food was delicious. We were not rushed at all, which can sometimes be a problem in NYC restaurants. We were able to take our time and enjoy the food and conversation. Would highly recommend.

This place has great food, nice brunch and a lovely atmosphere. Coffee is really good and refills are free. Staff is always really friendly. You can also sit outside which is really nice during summer.

They took very good care of our group of 9 and helped us celebrate a special occasion. Delicious niciose salad, desserts and after meal drinks!

Try their market menu! There's a three course menu with fresh products every night and they offer creative and delicious dishes packed with flavor.

Just visited Brooklyn these past two weeks, and dined at Stone Park Café twice, and was pleased with both events, fine food, tasty, well prepared, fine drinks, and kid friendly.

Good pasta and good fresh fish, simply prepared and tasty. Straightforward unpretentious service. Very comfortable simple setting. A pleasant evening.

We went here this morning for brunch. When we got in there was no problem getting a table but not long after the place really filled up. They've got a wide variety on the menu and were happy to make a substitution so we could do a more veggie friendly option. Had a really great time and the food was very good. I recommend

Schlepped to BK to have dinner with a friend and this place was completely worth it. The food is phenomenally executed with the perfect level of done. I thought the flavors paired nicely with the food without being overwhelming and taking over the flavor. Our service was top notch and the bartender seemed to know all of her patrons - lovely to watch. I had the pork chop and my friend the half a chicken both were excellent. Although I did want another pork chop the first was so good! Would absolutely come back and it's a great date, friend dinner or meal out with family location.

We had a 7:00pm reservation .We were greeted and taken to out table for six.We had great food and a great time.We were very well taken of,never felt rushed .Very enjoyable evening on 5th Avenue.

We just happened on this place while looking for a restaurant while we had been shopping nearby. This was a lucky find. It was a pleasant spring day and we opted to sit outside in their sidewalk cafe. While walking through the main and very busy room we noticed how charming it is. Our next visit will be inside in the lovely main room. Service was excellent. The staff was most accommodating and helpful. Our appetizers and main courses were excellent and well presented. This is definitely a place to return to.

We went for a friends birthday and the food was great. The octopus appetizer was one of the best I have ever had ! The drinks are fun and tasty and they have a great selection. The buttermilk onion rings are a must have, as well as dessert. The pork shank was just amazing, I can't wait to go back to Stone Park Cafe.

We had a very nice table for five in the front dining room. We were seated promptly for our reservation, and our drink order was taken promptly. Both appetizers and entrees were of a good size making this restaurant a very good value. The wine list also has a range of prices and we had two very nice bottles of Pinot Noir. The host was especially helpful in recommending the second bottle as they had sold out of the first one we ordered. There is a nice selection for vegetarians too. Highly recommended!

Food was great, the service excellent, the open air sense of where we sat was wonderful. The waiter recommended a good wine. Location was excellent for the hotel where I was staying.

Best chicken dish I have ever eaten! Served on a bed of barley with asparagus. Perfection... I went twice while on a weeks holiday with my boyfriend. You will not be disappointed!

Located in Park Slope district. Also apparently kmown as Park Slope Cafe. Very close tables. Music way too loud- could not carry on a conversation. Food was just average. Prices were ridiculous! $12 for a cup of soup served in a deep bowl. Not certain it was even a cup. Burgers ok...best thing about them was the choice of cheese. Waiters were excellent. Breadsticks were excellent too.

I had a great experience at this establishment. The service was excellent, kids friendly and my food was GREAT!! We actually plan to return next weekend. I had the smoked salmon and eggs, btw. I recommend you check out this spot. hope you like it as I did. Oh, I forgot to mention that it is a little small so wait time may vary based on day and time.

Showed up here without a reservation (we had just moved into park slope and wanted to grab a bite somewhere). Of course, it was packed on a Wednesday night! Luckily the staff was so nice; we were able to sit down at a reserved table as long as we left before they arrived (we had two hours to eat and relax). I thought that was very nice of them. The service was great, but the food was AMAZING. I mean unreal. I was actually shocked at how good everything was. I will be going back again this week, and I have a feeling this is going to be a regular spot for us.

We just went yet AGAIN to the Stone Cafe - the vibe is always warm and welcoming, very attentive service. I think they may need to refresh the menu soon because I know it so well now, but I do love the brussel sprouts! This past visit we also had the bone marrow tacos with scallops - absolutely delicious. You can make reservations on Opentable easily. My favorite place in Brooklyn, by far!

My wife, son and i had dinner here during the holidays. The menu is american but very creative with plenty of fish, pasta beef and pork to chose from. The appetizers provided the opportunity to experience the chef's creativity. We tried the scallop and bone marrow tacos and the grilled octopus. For dinner My wife had the whole fish entree, head and all, and it was delicious. My son had the pork shank which was so so tender with truffle mashed potato and Ihad squid ink pasta. We all agreed that the squid ink pasta lacked flavor which was surprising. The restaurant offers creative cocktails and the vibe is relaxed with stone and light wood creating a fresh but comfortable feel. The wait staff was superb and not afraid to help with dinner choices which was appreciated. This is a very good local restaurant for a nice meal with friends or a more intimate dinner for two.

We have eaten there twice: first was for information purposes; second for our "rehearsal dinner." The food we had was incredible, and the service perfect. (I don't remember what I ate because of the variety of foods we had preordered for the hors d'oeuvres and meals. But it was all good.)

We're native Park Slopers and have been to this restaurant several times. The food is good, but sometimes their attitude is appalling. Went to have dinner on a sunny early evening. Asked for a table outside but could they provide an umbrella as the sun was beating down on everyone. The rest of the guests evidently chose to endure it, because I was told if an umbrella was brought out for us, everyone else would want one. Gee, how rude of us to even ask. We went elsewhere. Plenty of choices on Fifth Ave, even during a pandemic.

My husband and I were on a short business jaunt into NYC and we stayed in Brooklyn. . Our hotel recommended walking over to 5th Ave. to get dinner. We came across the Stone Park Cafe and since they had outdoor tables and the weather was nice we decided to eat there. Great choice. Hip but relaxed vibe. Delicious food. My roasted chicken was absolutely amazing. Service was great too. Prices were New York prices but not astronomical. Would definitely go back.

After a long evening in Manhatten a mimosa and eggs Benedict was just what the doctor ordered. The charming cafe has outdoor seating, friendly service, and eclectic menu items. Our food was fresh and delicious. It's the perfect hangover cure.

A busy but very professional restaurant. Delicious lamb chops and hangar steak, both perfectly cooked. Extensive wine list with some unusual choices. Excellent service, tables a little close together.

I really enjoyed the food. The food choices were interesting and tasty. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait.

We enjoyed our dining experience, terrific service and wonderful specials. This neighborhood eatery is a gem.

Went for brunch here with a few friends. Food was delicious and staff were very friendly. We didn't book and had a very short wait at the bar. I had heard of grits and wanted to try them since I saw "My Cousin Vinny" and was excited to see them on the menu so ordered that. But I discovered that grits are not very exciting and was very jealous of the delicious meals my friends got! I made them share. Music was a bit loud and odd, maybe I'm just getting old. Looking forward to next trip to NY, will definitely come back here.

We were greeted at the door by a slightly obnoxious host who despite having a booking told us to wait outside. Really turned us off! However we got a table with about 15mins and the night turned around from there. I had the scallop and marrow starter that 2 weeks later I am still dreaming about. My Lamb was perfectly cooked and the dessert was divine! Our waiter gave us seriously the best service I have ever had in a restaurant. He totally made up for the idiot at the door. The place was packed and it was quite noisy but as it was just my husband and I we didn't mind. The food was absolutely delicious and the vibe was great. I couldn't impinge taking kids there, maybe for breakfast but for a couple it was a great "date night".

Dining out is one of the things I miss most during this health crisis. Desperate to recapture some of the magic, my wife and I ordered in from Stone Park Cafe last night and what a pleasant surprise! We shared delicious ricotta cavatelli to start, had prime dry aged hanger steak and korubuta pork chop as mains (each with two sides), and finished with a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was delicious, cooked perfectly. After months of dinners cobbled together from weekly shopping trips, it was a real treat to have such a good meal. I still miss dining out, but these days this is as good as it gets and it's very good indeed!

Dined here for dinner on Monday night with my friend. We had such a great time. Our waiter was awesome and took very good care of us! Our food = superb! We had the pizzette and tagliatelle, both were delicious. We drank the margarita (it's from the drink menu I forget the exact name) ....it was SO good, so refreshing and made perfect. The environment is super cute and charming. Highly recommend. I will definitely be back when I am in the neighborhood next.

Service and food were very good. The music was a bit loud, but after asking a few times, it was lowered.

What I would call it a Country Kitchen setting with, $12-15 dollar lunch specials. I had the Swiss Chad Raviolini. It had a pine nut cream sause with parmesan cheese on top. My cousin had a chicken, avocado, bacon sandwich with a side salad. They have local beers like "six point" ale and Kelso pilsner. Plenty of service, with water refills coming frequently. Air conditioning and a full bar. Inside or outside tables available.

I was told by friends that this was the best brunch in Brooklyn. It’s not. * Potatoes tasted as if they were frozen or seasoned. * Eggs were not cooked. * We had to send our food back and didn’t get much improvement. * Coffee wasn’t even hot - I’d had better at my local gas station. I noticed the cafe didn’t get a certificate of excellence last year. Makes sense - it’s not keeping up with standards Us Brooklyn folks can hope it closes soon and something better shows up there instead. You have been warned

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The ambience reminded us strongly of a Paris bistro-- not too big, very attractive decor, and a terrific welcoming staff. The menu (very American food) is short but well balanced. The cooking was superb. The beer and wine list is extensive and not overpriced. Make a reservation; we got in but it was a weeknight in a slow season. After living in Paris, it was a treat to get back to a restaurant that was run so well.

Stone Park Cafe is a pretty, corner restaurant on 5th Ave. in Park Slope. The menu is interesting and engaging, and the food is fresh and flavorful. On a recent visit we ordered the grilled hanger steak with black pepper spätzle, red chard and balsamic veal reduction; linguini with Maine sea scallop, Manila clams and andouille sausage broth. and a grilled scallop dish. With the exception of the spätzle, everything was well executed and extremely tasty. The spätzle, however, was dry and disappointing. The atmosphere was very nice, the wine list was good and the service was good, too.

We arrived at 10 AM on Saturday just as the cafe opened. What a stroke of luck. We got the prime table at the window and within 10 minutes every seat was filled. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee all done well and served promptly. We asked to have the music down a bit and they complied, resulting in a wonderful chat with our friends from Sydney. Great pick for a drizzly Saturday morning.

Menu full of good options for a meat eater and a veggie. They made an effort to seat us altho we hadn't reserved. A wee bit noisy but that's a good sign on a Tues evening. Huge and sometimes expensive wine list but we managed to find an affordable Australian Shiraz. Great NZ lamb chops with interesting accompaniments. Cheese plate v pleasant also. Total £ 76.00

Came here for brunch with friends last weekend and are so glad we did! There was a bit of a wait (about 35 mins or so) since it was a Saturday, so we grabbed drinks at a bar across the street while we waited. They called our cell phone when our table was ready and we were seated immediately upon arrival. Ordered the Hangtown Fry (tempura oysters, bacon and cheese frittata) and it was so good. Others in my party ordered the Bluefish cakes and omelets. Service was fast, and the food was great. So glad we stopped by!

We were wondering 5th Ave on an early Friday evening while visiting our niece in Brooklyn and stumbled up on the Stone Park Cafe. Looked inviting and the menu was interesting. The restaurant had barely opened but was booked out already. The staff offered us seats at the bar. Those seats at the end of the bar provided a good view across the front room and the bar. The noise level was not bad. The service was prompt and friendly. We had grilled skirt stake, the pork chop plus a fish dish. We traded bites. All were very tasty. We were impressed and would definitely come back if in the area.

While visiting Brooklyn we stopped for a quick bite, first impression was our waiter who was genuine pleasant, since we wanted something lite, we order the Salad Frisée and Grill octopus, both were just delicious, the frisée had a pouch egg, shiitake mushroom and beacon, the combination was perfect.....portions were small though, but I guess as an appetizer it was OK, my wife was also impressed with the Octopus, for sure we will stop another time and try many of the entrees Nice place to go and have a relax time......in the middle of Brooklyn Keep the good food

Perfect for Brunch - really the brunch is outstanding, but they do get busy. The dinner is really great too, but it is expensive for the amount you get. The kids meal sucks. 9 dollars for a plate of pasta and if you want a veggie thats about another 9 bucks - really?

We had dinner here. It came highly recommended and the food was very good. The menu is somewhat limited and the prices are pretty high. I didn't think it was anything hugely memorable but it was very good.

The music was uncomfortably loud, making it very difficult to have a conversation. The music selection wasn't even bad but it was blasting from a speaker directly above our table and really made everything else difficult to enjoy. The service was deplorable. Our waiter seemed more concerned with proving he knew the words to the Gorillaz song than he was with working. He spoke to our table once "Are you ready to order?" and remained completely silent the rest of the time (unless a song he liked came on). Whenever I asked for something I thought he hadn't heard me because he gave no visual or verbal cues. He'd just walk away and return with whatever I asked for without so much as a head nod in this incredibly loud room. The food was good, but not great and probably a bit overpriced. Frankly it was not worth the inconvenience and uncomfortable atmosphere. I really wanted to like this place but there were too many things to overlook.

Came for Sunday brunch while housesitting in Bklyn Heights. One beer (bitter, improperly tapped from keg)+ small plate of poached eggs w fish cakes and a bland biscuit later, I was out $25.00. The male host and my male waiter were politely--detached, but more accurately disinterested and indifferent. Charged +2.00 extra for bland biscuit without prior warning...not going back ever. Will let my Park Slope friends know to take a pass.

Stopped for lunch after a visit to the Lion in th Sun card shop. Place was packed for Saturday at 1pm, but a full cocktail list and a wonderful six point IPA helped ease the tension. As brunch was still on the group had everything from omelette to burger. All done with a nice farm to table freshness. I popped out to feed the meter, and they kept the food warm and even rout extra fries in the first ones were not warm enough. Not sure I will be back in the neighborhood any time soon, but would go back.

I want to give this restaurant more stars because when I came here last year it was delicious. Unfortunately my most recent experience left me feeling disappointed. There should be a host to greet customers as they walk in but there wasn't any. My family and I stood waiting for at least 5 minutes before a waitress seated us (and there wasn't a line of people waiting in front of us either). During the 5 minutes the cocktail waitress at the bar just looked at us not alerting the manager who was talking on the phone. It just felt a little pretentious. When we received our dishes they were a little small for a $27 price tag. Not priced accordingly unless they are basing it on location...if you consider a playground across the street a nice location. Overpriced and is in need of a change.

During our walk through Brooklyn we came across Stone Park Café. We both had some great food and a lovely glass of wine! Service was great, very polite and quick!

A busy crowded place with delicious food. One may call the interior romantic. The selections of dishes is limited, but everything is well presented and very tasty. They also have a good wine selection.

We had a very nice six-person family brunch here, with a four-year-old and an eight-month old. The staff was very accommodating. The chef prepared pancakes shaped like a rabbit that delighted the older boy. The food was very good. I particularly recommend the bluefish cakes with poached eggs. My wife said her Greek omelet was good too.

The prix fixe menu for $35 is a great value -- i'm not sure if available weekends. Food was excellent through 3 courses and portions are good sized. I'm a particular fan of semifreddo -- a dessert hard to find -- the orange version here was excellent. The culinary concepts were surpirsingly sophisticated and eclectic. I would rank this as one of the top restaurants in park slope -- an area that boasts a number of good ones -- namely al di la and blue ribbon as well as others.

This place is very roomy. The food are great! I went there for a birthday dinner, tried their pre-fixed course $35. Very tasty meal! I love this place very much. But for regular visit, I think their food are pricey. But you got what you paid for. Worth to try! I went there for brunch too. Good food and the portion is big. You cant regret it!

Had a wonderfull dinner .....best NY strip Ive eaten .....perfectly cooked spinach...delicious mashed potatoes...great service....dont miss it if your in Brooklyn.

We happened upon SPC at lunchtime while attending the ACC tournament. Our server was great. Very attentive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food. We had fish tacos and they were excellent. We also had a couple of glasses of nice wine. Our sever let us taste a couple of wines before we ordered. I would go back to SPC the next time I am in Brooklyn.

Brunch here was wonderful! Warm, inviting restaurant. Busy, but not crazy busy. The Hangtown Fry was eye-closing delicious (if you know what I mean..). I felt like I was on vacation at the beach. And an enormous plate! Maybe 8 fried oysters! My friend's omelette was delicious as well. I wasn't in love with the ricotta cheesecake. Not sweet or creamy enough for my taste, but my friend loved it. And they gave me a nice birthday addition and candle. I got some coconut sorbet and hot fudge. That was yummy. Biscuits are great, too. One odd thing, though. We got biscuits instead of toast. They arrived with no butter or jam. When we asked our server, who was great, otherwise, for some butter and/or jam for the biscuits, she looked at us like we were from Mars. Then, she brought us butter and some lovely rasperry preserves. Don't understand the strange reaction...is it weird to put butter or jam on a biscuit? Anyway, it was a little thing, but odd. I loved everything else about our meal and will definitely be back.

I've been going to Stone Park Cafe a few times over the past years, last time being maybe a week ago, and have never ever been disappointed. Their ingredients are always fresh from the market and their ingenuity in preparing simple and savory dishes is what keeps me coming. The menu keeps changing and if you go for the daily market menu you'll be surprised at how reasonably priced delicious food can be. Over my various visits with family and friends it has been a long list of consistently pleasant surprises: whether it is the flank state on a bed of succulent vegetables or the lemongrass Branzino and too many for my poor memory to retain (but my taste buds are still sighing!) The wine list is rich and varied and the service is always extremely courteous and zealous. I'm trying hard here to find something to curb my enthusiasm so I'll say that sometimes their desserts are not up to standards: but then again, if you taste their delicious pumpkin cheesecake you'll justly say that I'm being totally unfair! So kudos to SPC and keep it up!

My first time in Brooklyn and I met friends who live in Park Slope for dinner. I requested a cool, local, funky restaurant with outdoor seating and great food. Well, Stone Park Cafe hit the mark. Although it was raining, so we couldn't sit outside, they have a very nice patio that looks across the street to the park. Their menu is just the right amount of "foodie." You can go traditional or a bit edgy on your choices. I had a lovely Beet Salad for my appetizer but I wish I had ordered the Scallop and Marrow Tacos. For my entree, I had the Grilled Pork Chop and it was delicious! My second choice was Branzino but I am terrible with a whole fish to try to debone at my plate. I am sure I could have asked them to help me out and they would have. The staff was very nice and showed up at our table at just the right times. It is not a large restaurant, so make sure you have reservations. The prices were about what I expected, I didn't think they were too high but the drinks were on the pricey side, but my NY friends didn't bat an eye. I would absolutely go back - the staff, the ambiance and the food make this one of my new faves.

Myself, my wife and a friend had an ad hoc tuesday night meal in Stone Park Cafe, and I have to say it was a fantastic meal. The salad and rib starters were so tasty and the 20 ounce steak I had was one of the finest I have every eaten. At first I thought how was I going to finish it but with a glass of red we got through it. Whilst I thought the service was efficient I did think it was a little impersonal and lacked professionalism bording on a little rude. That being said, the place is great - I wish I could easily return, and for the food alone I am going to the excellent category.

I stopped here for lunch on a Saturday in Septembe - very busy. I sat at the bar rather than wait 30 min for a table outside. But the bar staff was great - friendly, attentive and quick. Quiche was wonderful!

We had the Market Menu- 3 courses for $34- there were great but limited choices. Everything we had was tasty, fresh and original. The Octopus salad had corn and golden cherry tomatoes among other things, the Arugula and White Fig salad was tasty- and the portions were great! Our main courses were artfully composed and full of yummy-ness! Let us not forget the fabulous desserts-out of this world! We were not dissapointed by any facet of the experience!

Such a nice brunch spot. The music is light and upbeat, natural light comes in through 2 walls, solid bloody Mary’s, and great food. The shrimp and grits hit the spot for me to the point I was happy dancing in my seat.

This restaurant is fantastic. Casual and clean atmosphere with absolutely terrific food. I need to start with the food. I 100% loved the pan seared bluefish cakes with celery root slaw, poached eggs, and caper hollandaise. It was fantastic! The portion size was perfect: it left a bit of room for dessert. I also tasted the delicious oyster po’ boy: it was excellent. For dessert, I tried the chocolate brioche pudding, the yuzu semifreddo, and the affogato (essentially ice cream topped with coffee). All were truly wonderful. The brioche pudding was a thick, rich chocolate lover's delight. The semifreddo was a light, citrus, tangy, refreshing ice cream-like (texture of frozen mousse) treat topped with a berry sauce. The affogato was a sweet, smooth coffee enjoyment. I even enjoyed the drinks. The passion fruit champagne cocktail was delicious. The bloody mary had quite a kick with a hefty amount of alcohol, black pepper, and tabasco sauce. The drinks were a bit pricey, though, at $9 a glass. The service was friendly and attentive. I was not in a rush, but I could see how others may feel that the service can be a bit slow at times. The restaurant was full when we sat down at 2pm, but there were a few open tables at 3pm (on Saturday). Prices were reasonable, particularly for the high quality of food. The location is in a beautiful part of Brooklyn with many shops and other restaurants. Would I go back? Absolutely!

During our recent stay in Brooklyn we decided to try Stone Park Café. We were very impressed with the food and the service. The eggs benedict were great. They serve locally roasted coffee and have a locally produced hot sauce which were really good. I recommend this restaurant for brunch and will definitely return.

Lovely place for a light lunch. Recommend the homemade pasta. Wine list was well presented with a good range. Great service. Do recommend as a lunch venue

Service was unwelcoming, offhand and abrupt. The skirt steak was gristly. It was a very disappointing experience.

While in P.S. we got lucky and were able to get into the cafe with only a 10 minute wait (we were there early about 1030am on a Sunday). The menu had a nice selection of options, I had the pancakes (which were enough for 2 people the plate was huge) and my friend had the short rib hash. We both enjoyed our dishes, and the server was great she had such a great personality and our coffee was never empty! If you're over in P.S. give it a try, I would suggest a reservation if you are able to get one or get there early as it get's VERY busy

We had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner. The food was well prepared. The service was attentive and brisk. This place has a very extensive wine list.

We went there for brunch and the food was very good but the kitchen service was very slow. Our waiter was very good, however. I'd go back.

Friendly staff. Enormous wine card, how to choose! Had a pasta mushroom ravioli, for me a bit too dente! Partner had a octopussy pasta, he enjoyed it. Portions small for what you pay for it.
Great food, reasonable prices
We took our son to Stone Park on a suggestion from a friend. Each of us had something different and all the dishes were exquisitely prepared and were delicious. The whole Branzino was done perfectly, the rare hanger steak was really rare (as I like it), and the chicken was tender and juicy. The appetizers and desserts were in keeping with the rest of the food. The prices, especially the Market Menu were extremely reasonable. Highly recommended. Cons: none
