Food, service and quality has always been consistent, we had dine in this restaurant so many times..I will highly recommend it.

Pretty good food and service from the staff and very close to all the locations to visit in san antonio

Came to have chicken fried steak but they were out No one greeted you at door floors had food on floor tables were not cleared from previous customers very dirty walls with food spills very slow service and staff not happy about being at work

WOW, Started out very nice, everything what we expected. Oysters Rockefeller and the potato soup were very good, then it went downhill and downhill fast!!! The rib-eye steak came with one end of the steak propped up on top of the mashed potatoes with asparagus. Looked nice, but very poorly executed! Not sure how long it sat in the window, but all of the salt ran down and pooled in the bottom part of the steak. The half of the steak that was propped up, NO seasoning, the bottom part, could not eat all due to the excessive salt. My wife had her "worst hamburger ever", the Werks burger. So dry she could not eat it all. The gravy sauce that came with her fries was the only good part. My daughter ordered off of the kid menu and the cookie or ice cream was never offered. At this point we just wanted to leave. Waitress only came to ask how the food was when we were done. We let her know of our issues with the steak and dry hamburger and she said she will the the manager know. She came back with a 15% comp from the manager. The manager NEVER came to our table! Which makes me think this happens a lot. Fast forward 10 minutes after we leave, my wife BARELY makes it to the bathroom... With all of the good restaurants in the area, I don't think we will be coming back. Lackluster, overpriced food is one thing, but explosive diarrhea is another...

This place has a huge lunch menu, with everything from soup to salad to sandwiches to burgers, and pretty much anything else you can think of. We had a really good server named Orlando. We both had soup and half sandwich. Chicken poblano soup was yummy, the chicken salad sandwich was pretty bland. But I'd go back because there are so many other things to choose from.

No wonder we were able to get a table right away without reservations. We waited and waited for our drinks and our food. The only thing that they were fast about is getting our bill (maybe they were afraid that we would walk out of there without paying). It took forever to get our drinks and even double the time to get our food. We had to ask the manager what happened to our order.

decided to swing by for lunch as we had finished a meeting over at Camp Bullis. arrived at 11:05 so it was quite early, made it before the rush hit. meal was out in a quick turn around. Ordered the stuffed mushrooms for appetizer and those too came out rather quickly. Delicious if you like mushrooms. they were served with mini toast crackers. MUST TRY if you have not had them already.

First, Ana our server was very friendly and courteous. Service was very good although the restaurant was busy. My wife's soup and half sandwich were very tasty. My hamburger was well done, just like I ordered it, but they added bacon which I had not asked for. It was very good and a generous size. There were seven in our party and all the food was good. The restaurant is very clean as are the bathrooms.

This was my first visit to Stone Werks, and I was pleasantly surprised.I had the pleasure of dining here with friends on Good Friday evening. This restaurant was very busy, and we elected to go out to the patio bar to order appetizers. This area was overcrowded (especially considering it was Good Friday), and the band (although not half-bad) was very loud- so we gave up our seats to another party and waited inside. This restaurant has an open kitchen, and a nice atmosphere. The food was very good- I had fish tacos, one person in the party had a (very generous) salad, and the other mini-sliders (which is listed as an appetizer, but is enough for a meal for one hungry person). The service was attentive without being overbearing; the only negative here was the waiter starting off the evening criticizing the kitchen for, "screwing up so many orders tonight." Definitely TMI for a new customer. In any case, I would return, but would not be in any sort of hurry, as this is a popular place.

We met several people here recently, after they opened the dining from COVID, for a small business meeting. Seating is open in the main dining room, cocktail area and the large outside patio. The music was a bit too loud in the cocktail area and the main dining was getting full even with social distancing in place. So we sat on the open patio and luckily there was a breeze. The staff all wore masks and were accommodating. Customers were not required to wear masks. The service was prompt and courteous and we were not rushed during out lengthy stay. Everything was very clean and the food was fresh and good. This is a nice place to go for different occasions and it was really busy for the current situation but yet spaced out nicely. The fish tacos were $13.95 and the tea was $2.95. We will be back.

In a booth near the bar, I ordered a lamb burger, which came with fries. The unsweetened ice tea was okay, but I wanted to relax and had a Pecan Porter - not as good as that pecan IPA I'd had in Boerne. But the burger was thick, medium rare, tasty.

We ate here for dinner. The prices were a little high but the décor of the restaurant was modern and chic. I got an avocado salad but really want that impressed.

Good appetizers, fried mushrooms, went downhill afterwards with a raw steak, burned chicken fried steak and poor service. We were there two hours and 90% of that time was waiting on food or drink. Will not plan another trip to this location or the Rim location, they seem to be operating by the same manual.

This is a large restaurant in the Rim with an extensive menu. The interior is big with stone fireplaces and stone pillars, but is a little on the loud side. My wife and I each had a salad...I had the creamy shrimp salad and she had the seared ahi salad. Both the salads were great! The service was also spot on and we will certainly be back.

Food, service and ambiance were as expected for a casual chain restaurant. Everything was acceptable but nothing was memorable. Service was friendly but a little slow. The menu was fairly extensive. Food was average.

I grabbed a bite with my daughter and we weren't disappointed. Very consistent in food quality although they struggle in service-- timing not graciousness.

Too many TVs. Very louds. Okay food and okay service. If you're going there to get a drink on, perfect. If you're going there on a date and want to have a conversation, find another place.

Awesome environment great food. I got the double bbq burger with bacon. Soo gooood.. fries are great. Will go back!

First the restaurant is much bigger than I expected. The food was great. The service was also very good. The prices are very reasonable. Nice night overall.

Got to the place with my wife and friends (2 other couples). Unless they had new employees that day, the service was less than average with waiting time of about 15 minutes after we were seated. We ordered a few Seared Tenderloin Chopped and Asian Salmon Salads that took another 30 minutes. By the time we got the food on the table, we were no longer hungry, but ate what seemed to be someone else's leftovers...bottom line, we are not returning!

Honestly, I won't go again unless someone is adamant that they want it. We sat on the patio because the weather was beautiful. That said, I think the server forgot about us several times. It took more than 20 minutes (after ordering) to get drinks, the appetizer arrived first. It took a total of 1 hour 20 minutes to be served our meals, and they forgot my husband's pancakes so he cancelled them. It wasn't terribly busy, especially by the time we left so I have no idea why the service was so incredibly slow. It didn't appear that the servers are assigned outside, we felt like an afterthought for ours. Someone was helping her serve the food, she was dressed different than a server, but not as nice as a manager, she seemed to have a lot of attitude. Our teas stayed empty for most of the meal and we often felt like a bother. We were a group of seven and felt greatly disappointed. We don't plan to return.

My wife & I attended a financial seminar at Stone Werks, 1604 & Blanco. The dinner for the entire group of 45 to 50 people was a disaster. The resteraunt mgt clearly did not plan & staff accordingly. Really - one waiter trying to get drinks, salad, entre & desert out to that many people. Some folks never received a salad. Others got their salad at the same time the deserts were brought out. One of the financial seminar employees was helping to clear the dinner plates. Felt very bad for the waiter. This would have never happened at a PAPPASITTOS or PAPADEAUX’S resteraunt. And the food was on the poor taste & cold side.

On this Saturday night, Stone Werks had at least three groups of high schoolers going to Prom. Stone Werks is good for that since the decor is upscale, portions can be generous, and prices are high enough to impress dates. For us, Stone Werks is just another high priced place to eat with somewhat average food. One's sea bass was large, flavorful, and average. Another's baked chicken was large, flavorful, and indistinctive. Another's veggie burger was OK. My margherita pizza was more like a cheese pizza; globs and globs and cheese and almost no other fresh ingredients. Stone Werks seems to copy much from BJ's across the parking lot. Service was attentive. Coming back? Probably not since there are too many other great places to eat in San Antonio.

Recently took a friend to Stone Werks Big Rock Grille for a birthday lunch. We both ordered the Roman Flatbread. It was disappointing. The flatbread had been divided into sections for supposedly eating cutting or division, but it was very difficult to separate due to the heavy amounts of melted cheese. Each section had one small & thin slice of chicken and 1/2 of a grape tomato. In the center section was romaine lettuce with caesar dressing. I had expected more chicken and more tomatoes. It seemed as if we spent more time chewing the cheese than the primary ingredients of chicken and tomatoes. It was almost as if the chicken and the tomatoes were an after thought. Perhaps this was intended as an appetizer or an accompaniment to drinks, rather than as an entree. If so, the waitperson should have told us this. Other than the disappointment with meal, the service was acceptable.

My husband and I came in on a whim on a weeknight for dinner. Excellent filet mignon Gorgonzola flatbread, but what made the night was the Frappuccino Pie: a five-inch high Kona ice cream dream with real whipped cream and caramel sauce. To Die For.

Visited here last night and started with a few drinks at the very nice bar area. Dimly lit and very relaxing atmosphere. Great ipas on tap too. Moved to the restaurant and had a filet mignonette flatbread for my entree which was simply excellent. Will definitely be returning here as everything on the menu looks great!

Went for dinner with family. This place has a reputation as a bar more so than a restaurant. Outside had a live band, inside was just a decent restaurant. I had the snapper and was okay. Salads were huge! I would go back for happy hour and entertainment, not necessarily for dinner. Worth a try but nothing special. Enjoy!

Food is Amazing the Samon rolls are a must the Fried Mushrooms are to die for. the Sliders are really Good the drinks are excellent and the have a band on the weekend and late night is best in the heat. For the Bands. Love this place

We have just reinforced why we don't go to this restaurant on a regular basis, although we eat out 5-6 times a week. Either our server was brand new with no experience as a server or he has some type of attention deficit disorder! It took 4 separate requests to get 2 ice teas and 2 glasses of water to the table! He kept returning to the table with a glass of tea but no water, then another return with water but not the other tea OR he just simply forgot to bring anything but would see us waiting and would turn around to go get it but never come back. When we ordered, I inquired as to how many crab cakes were on the order. He said 3 or 4. The order came and there were only 2 medium size crab cakes. with a very small garnishment of slivers of tomatoes and slivers of cucumbers! The crab cakes had no flavor. While we were waiting for the entrée, the server returned to the table to ask if we wanted an appetizer. Isn't an appetizer usually ordered prior to placing a dinner order? My husband had also ordered a caesar salad which was supposed to be an additional $3.95 when an entrée was ordered. After asking another server to please have our server come over and give us the bill (ours had disappeared for a very long time), he finally presented us with a bill. He had charged $6.95 for the Caesar salad. I flagged him down to ask about this. He said.... oh, the salad is $6.95 if you don't order an entrée! I reminded him that we had ordered TWO entrees.... crab cakes at $25 each! It was obvious that he had already forgotten what we had ordered or simply hadn't paid attention to what he was entering in the computer! Of course the bill was corrected, but given the service deficit that had already occurred, it certainly was not a positive ending to the meal. It will be a very long time before we return to this restaurant. There are many other good restaurants in the area with excellent service that have excellent food and excellent service and where we don't spend a large portion of our time flagging down the server to bring us the correct orders or an accurate billing. This experience was on a Wednesday night, not necessarily a very busy night of the week for eating out. In some nicer restaurants when there has been a service problem or a problem with the bill, a manger will come over to apologize. The manager was aware of the problem as he had to be called to correct the billing. However, it did not trigger an apology from the manager or from the server. Incidentally, the last two times we ate at this restaurant, we had service problems as well. It seems that around 9 p.m. the servers are assigned other duties to help in the restaurant and they simply leave the customers on their own without refilling drink glasses or even bringing the final bill. In the other situations, we ended up asking another server to have our server bring us a bill.

My wife and I stopped in for appetizers and a light meal and they were very good. We started off w the ckamari...it was great. My wife had the chicken poblano soup and enjoyed it and I had the pulled pork street tacos. The boracho beans on the side were great. If we are in the area again, I'd stop by again for sure.

This is a place my husband and I can agree on. They have lots of excellent salads so that we can eat healthy, but really tasty food. There are lots of choices for hearty appetites as well as lighter fare. The restaurant is in a good location as far as being central and close to where we live, shop, and run errands, and parking space is not limited. Wait staff is usually very friendly and helpful, but the place holds a lot of people and the food can be very slow in getting to us. I have to say once again that the food is exceptionally tasty.

Great lunch service, quick turn around and very attentive and jovial waiter. Paninni was great and not too heavy. Atmosphere is rich and vibrant. Like the neighborhood feel and good value.

Ordered the grilled oysters, the best I have had at Stone Werks. I also got a Mexican Martini, which was good but needed just a splash of sprite (Trudy’s of Austin Recipe). My server was Chris.

We had a great time with friends celebrating our 17 year wedding anniversary with friends. The decor is beautiful, lighting was perfect, not too harsh and we took every recommendation from our fantastic waitress, Kristen. Perfect night.

We were a large group on a busy weekend night with a reservation and 1 waiter. The waiter asked what I wanted to drink. I asked for water. Most of the other people in my group were drinking beverages from the bar, so when they ordered, the waiter brought them promptly. After fifteen minutes, I again ordered water. The waiter again said "No problem." But, I got no water. After half an hour, another person joined our group, and was asked by the waiter what she would like to drink. When she said water, I told her good luck with that. At that time, I reminded the waiter I'd also like water. Meanwhile, several people in our group were being served their second mixed drink. I understood that if you are not paying for your drink, you aren't getting a drink. I thought I might like to pay $1 just to get water. Anyway, nearly an hour after ordering water, I finally got some. Refills were not available, however. The food was good, but I was pretty preoccupied with getting something to drink.

My wife had the lunch special salad and small pizza, her son had the fried oyster eggs benedict with tomato marmalade, and I had the pulled pork eggs benedict with poblano chili hollandaise. All were great and very reasonably priced. While we were waiting for our order we shared a dozen oysters. They were large and delicious. The restaurant is large, well appointed, and very clean. Monica, our server, provided top notch service to compliment the wonderful meal. Since the restaurant is located in a large shopping center, and my wife loves to shop, I am sure we will be back often.

We went early because of Fathers Day. Only a 20 minute wait. It was so loud in the restaurant we had to shout at each other. The prices were high. Waiter was very nice. The food was so so. Not worth it would we go back? No.

unique menu, and the best deli werks sandwich ever..or try the oysters, one of my favorites. the entertainment is also great.

I can remember telling the manager a few months back that they had the best chicken fried steak in town. I don't know what happened, but last week my wife and I were there and I ordered the chicken fried steak. I was totally disillusioned with what they served me. That great steak had dwindled down to a sad quarter inch of something that was a huge disappointment. I was very disenchanted with my meal.

Delicious crab cake eggs Benedict. I'm picky about crab cakes (prefer Maryland lump crab cakes)---these were very good. Not just filler, lots of yummy crab. Entree is served with breakfast potatoes, but I requested substitution of fresh fruit---yummy choice and no extra cost. Service a bit slow, but it was very crowded due to Father's Day. Staff very attentive about refilling drinks, etc.

Nothing really special, typical grill menu, fairly quick service, there are lots of options in San Antonio that may be more appealing

Went to San Antonio today to pick my sister up from her flight from Maryland. As always we must grab a bite to eat before we travel to our home town of Kerrville. My daughter insisted on Stone Works as long as they cook the burger right. This was our first and last brunch experience... we arrived at 12:30 ... we received our food around 1:45. It pains me to go through all of the details of what a horrible experience we had... I am sure this review comes as no surprise.

Tried the Louisiana style char grilled oysters as my fav food EVER is the Char grilled Oysters at Drago’s! Stonewerks we’re absolutely Terrible!!!! Just lots of bread🤮🤮. A waste of a birthday dinner!!!

I took my family of four here in November 2018. It was good and reasonable. I had the prime rib. My wife had a veggie burger. My two kids had prime rib and soup. The salad was not great, but this is when they had the romaine lettuce scare, so the Caesar salad was not great. The rest of the meal was good.

We are from out of town and this place was chosen by friends in the area. The atmosphere was great. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Food was really good. I got the classic burger and fries, my husband got grilled shrimp, our friends got the guda burger and the prime rib sandwich. Everything was hot and delicious. Our friends had three small children and they had coloring pages while they waited and a kids' menu which was great for them. Would probably stop here again if we were in the area.

The ambiance is wonderful, the wait staff has always been friendly, service is prompt at lunch, and the food never disappoints......it never amazes me, but, it has never disappointed me. We never order off the beaten path: queso appetizer, cobb salad and the bacon cheeseburger w/fries.

We were greeted with a warm welcome. Our reservations were for 11 pm(party of 8). We were seated promptly and our server was very attentive. Our party consisted of ages 2-62. They had a live band that played top 40 hits and it was awesome. The drinks that evening could have been better, Lemon drops didn't have that complex of sweet and sour. The food order was at the table in 15-18 mins. Everything was excellent! Fresh, hot, and nothing went to waste! We also received a complimentary dessert(14karet cake). The cake was a nice ending and by 1150 pm the complimentary champagne was poured and we lifted our glasses! Hats off to Stone Werks Staff, this was the best NYE Celebration i've ever had with my entire family! Happy New Year '14

The tuna salad sandwich and the soup and salad was very fresh and tasty, our friends enjoyed their meal as well. The French fries were hot which was nice. Our server Ana was great. Our drink glasses never went empty and she was very polite and professional. The restaurant is very clean as are the bathrooms. We got seated promptly even though it was busy. You will not be disappointed in this restaurant.

Had dinner there last night.... I had the tilapia and my friend had the halibut. Both were delicious! Our husbands both had chicken fried steak which they said was best they’ve ever had which is a huge compliment in Texas! Our waiter Willie was fantastic - fantastic attention to detail and he kept our drinks coming on time and were perfect!! Will definitely be back.

We have been here many times for dinner, mostly eating early. I find the selection is great, with something for everyone. I like the Tuscan Flatbread as well as many of the items on the seafood portion of the menu. We always have a great server, Kip, who takes special care of all of his clients. The bar area looks to be always busy and, the outdoor area provides seating when weather permits. We have always been treated wonderfully by everyone and it has been a hit with our out of town visitors as well.

No waiting, good service, great food, no waiting! What more could you ask for? A great place for a business lunch, even though the noise level is a bit higher than compfortable.

This local restaurant is very worth the visit. It's a favorite of mine in san antonio. There is a great menu, prices are reasonable and drinks are also reasonable.

Surprisingly good; the reason I mention this, as I have never high hopes for a "chain" restaurant to be really good. We were with a large group and each of us was really pleased with their food; the ribeye and the filet got very good reviews. The service is OK, a little disorganized, and a bit to pushy to sell more drinks.

Being in the neighborhood, we go here a lot. Place is well received as soon as you open the door and the decor is more than up to date and very pleasing. Great place for a single meal, night out with family and also a great first date venue. Teh food is always great and served with a helpful and caring assistance from the staff. Oyster lovers beware!! You cannot have a meal at Stone Werks without trying each and every presentation of the oysters. You will not be disappointed. Also, do not forget the outside patio and live music on Thursday. Not to be missed and of course there are two locations in San Antonio.

This place is the typical sports bar with corresponding atmosphere.......loud music and loud customers who just try to make themselves heard in a conversation. Not a good choice for a fine dining experience.

We had a private room for about 25 people. The restaurant was very accommodating and assigned two people to wait on the group. Drinks were served ranging from cocktails to beer and soft drinks. The food was a sort of buffet where we ordered veggies with dip; nacho chips with queso, salsa; flatbread; pizza, and other items. The food was well prepared. The room was capable of being shut off from the regular restaurant giving us a more private experience.

Had dinner here on our last night in San Antonio. Our waiter Kip was attentive and had an amazing personality. He made our evening special!! Food portions were extremely large and the wine (Cavit, Pinot Grigio) was fruity and palatable! Great interior with an outside eating area and bar so it caters for everyone. Definitately worth a visit!

A group of us met here for the first time for Happy Hour during the week There was parking real close since this had ample parking in a shopping center. When you enter the hostess is right there so we were greeted immediately. The bar is also located just inside the front doors with an outside covered seating area to the left and then a larger dining area along with a two adjacent dining areas and a meeting/private room in the back that can be closed off from the rest of the areas. So plenty of seating at tables and booths. The hostess sat us nicely in towards the back to accommodate our group. The waiter was prompt in getting our drink orders and menus although we were only given one HH menu to share:) The Happy Hour Specials were a very good selection of drinks $3-$5 and appetizers, smaller portions for $5. But even the smaller portions were satisfying for lite appetites. The Sangria Rita Swirl, although a decent size, wasn't all that great tasting, but the Cab and Merlot were a nice pour and pleasant tasting. All in our group ordered a variety of appetizers and all enjoyed their selections. Our food arrived all together and in a timely manner. The chicken fingers (2 full size tenders with skinny, crisp fries, Ground Beef or Chicken Nachos (four filled nachos), and the flatbread was tasty and more than enough for one guest who eats lite. The fish tacos, an entree from the regular menu were a nice size and flavorful. The atmosphere was pleasant and not too noisy and there was a large TV in our section for those who wanted to keep up on the news. Our waiter, Aaron was courteous and kept up with our requests. After we were served and ate and HH ended he didn't come around as much and we waited a short time for the tabs BUT the place was really crowded in all sections by the time we left around 7ish. We all agreed it was a lovely evening and we would gladly return since it is conveniently located right at the area of Blanco Rd. at Loop 1604.

We were able to book a reservation in advance for the bar area during happy hour, a rare find in San Antonio! The manager, John, was very welcoming and the waiter assigned to us was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, with excellent drink and appetizer recommendations. They had put high-boy tables together for us ahead of time so that we could all sit together. The drink selection is excellent, many good choices from the happy hour appetizer menu and other great selections on the main menu. We enjoyed the oysters on half shell, flat breads, prime rib egg rolls, guac and chips and calamari - all big hits with our group! At the end of our evening, we all felt this would be a great place to return to for our next work happy hour event!

Their food was wonderful. My husband had the chicken Wrap, I had the chicken salad sandwich with potato chips. Grandson had the childrens pizza. It was good too. I had to sample it. The interior was very unique with all the rocks that made up one wall and the giant wine closet. If we ever go back to San Antonio we will definitely eat there.

I was visiting San Antonio and my friend brought me to this place for a night cap and of course the dessert...FROZEN FRAPPUCINNO PIE Layers of ice cream, Oreo cookie crumbles, caramel and whipped cream. It was delicious, a big portion size for sharing.... we enjoyed eating the dessert at the outdoor seating, it was just perfect for a not so warm night in San Antonio.

I love HIGH END restaurants, but once in a while after shopping you simply go to a restaurant that is simply close by, in this case; the Rim. It is a typical restaurant/cafeteria as there are gazillions with different names. The wine selection is as expected on the lower end. The shrimp where..... Shrimp and the salmon stuffed with crawfish was something different to try. The restaurant hits the spot but nothing to write home about. If you happen to pass in front of it and feel hungry and don't know where to go, you can stop here and eat.... Not much more.

Loved the atmosphere. The fireplaces were warm and inviting. Our food was warm, delicious and prepared perfectly. The pecan crusted chicken was delicious and the grilled vegetables were cooked perfectly. Nothing but great things to say about this place.

I had a Greek salad with shrimp. This salad was almost $18 and no part of it was worth the price, but the worst was the old and stinky shrimp. No restaurant should serve food this bad. Also, this restaurant had few gluten-free options. The nachos are not gluten-free (only flour tortillas). The same goes for the tacos. The only gluten-free choices available were salads or streak. They don't even have a gluten-free menu. I had to ask the server several times to find out from the kitchen what my dining options were. Don't bother. They are many more good restaurants in San Antonio. Also, it was very difficult to carry on a conversation here.

Dinner meal was very tasty. Group had grilled chicken, turkey burgers and Cobb salad with all arriving within a short amount of time. Real noisy with crowded restaurant but did not affect meal.

We have eaten many times at this restaurant. Our most recent was a good reason to not return soon, if ever. Although the food was adequate, service was poor. Appetizers came out 1 minute before our entrees were delivered, even though we had asked about their absence. The waitress told us they were busy, even though it was 5:45 in evening and the restaurant was about one third occupied. She disappeared and came back occasionally. It was so bad the manager and comanager had to deliver food, clear tables and take care of checking us out. Apparently management has changed recently, but not for the better. Would NOT recommend. It's hard to believe that anyone would rate this place "superb". Too many other good restaurants in the immediate area.

Our recent first visit to this nearby restaurant clearly indicates that we need to return frequently. On a Thursday evening the wait for a table in the restaurant was about 30 minutes (and our wait was almost exactly 30 minutes), so we waited for a table to open up in the separate bar area that was crowded with quite happy and numerous Happy Hour customers. Although the bar was packed, a server immediately waited on us and a couple of minutes later our drinks arrived. The wait staff in the bar are clearly well accustomed to a crowded bar, and know how to provide fast, efficient service. The restaurant menu is quite extensive for a "grille-type" establishment. Like the staff in the bar, the restaurant staff was likewise efficient, friendly, and professional. Our server answered our several first-time-to-visit questions, and the selections we made were delivered quickly, but not too quickly to rush us. Menu selections range from a lengthy list of appetizers to entrees from salad, pizza, seafood, steak, and sandwich categories. The wine and beer (draft and bottle) offerings were also quite substantial. We enjoyed a leisure meal that both looked and tasted quite appetizing. We will certainly return soon and often. The Stone Werks San Antonio website announces that it provides "A Vibrant, Fun and Delicious Experience" and is "Upscale Rustic American Grille," descriptions that are quite appropriate and fitting.

And if you like potato soup, you will love the Stone Werks soup. I was cold when we went there, but after wolfing down my lunch, my whole body was toasty warm! It is made with cream and large pieces of potato. It comes topped with scallions, cheese, real bacon bits, and chives. Very tasty and satisfying. Stone Werks offers an eclectic menu that should satisfy everyone. The wait staff is very efficient as well as friendly. Try it, bet you'll like it.

The fresh seafood bar selection is the only thing that separates it from a regular Hard Rock Cafe type restaurant. The service is slow. The wine and spirit selection is limited to what you would expect. The fresh oysters are... Fresh. Rest of the menu is the typical sports cafe/restaurant and to all honesty NOTHING to write home about. So if you are in the rim area and want a fresh seafood raw oysters, shrimp and the lot and aren't in the mood for a high end restaurant, this is an option.

Food is average. We ordered the (supposedly famous) Big Rock Margarita and were greatly disappointed. To pay $9.50 for a drink obviously made from a bottled Margarita mix is ridiculous. Next time I will stick to beer.

This restaurant is "fusion-chic" with stylish contemporary furnishings blended within the frame of a nostalgic background of beautiful iconic themes from the past. The menu is much like the interior design: spot-on "Texas Style Ceviche," fresh gulf shrimp & mahi mahi, cooked & seasoned perfectly; &, on the other hand, mouthwatering West Texas styled meatloaf & mashed potatoes! The ceviche could easily fit into any New Orleans menu, & the meatloaf was so good that oil-rig Texas roughnecks would gamble or fight (its Texas hardscrabble) for second or third helpings! The rest of the menu had equally tasty items, especially the fish & chips. The fish was delicious, perfectly breaded, & served in large chunks, as contrasted to the often served "flat fish out-of-the box. The service was impeccable: refills of tea & water delivered without asking, personable rapport with servers, & a staff motivated to make you feel special. The overall ambience of the restaurant was enriched by the fact that background music & related customer behavior enabled good conversation without shouting. Recommend without reservation.

It's an American food restaurant that serves the usual fare. Lots of burger choices, but steaks, chicken, seafood are also available. Lots of televisions on the walls and we caught the end of the Cowboys game. Fun family restaurant, good atmosphere. Our server was Amy and she was outstanding. Very friendly and she made some good recommendations. The manager on duty was very visible and made a point to visit every table. It appears to be well run restaurant. This was our first visit to Stone Werks, but we will be back.

Great location. Beautiful restaurant inside. The staff is very good. The food was excellent. They have great drinks and a good selection of beer.

We had lunch at the bar today. We got drinks and food pretty fast. We asked for more mustard that never came. My wife asked the hostess and got it in 30 second. The bartender disappeared and was gone for 15 minutes. My burger was over cooked and there was small quarter size drop of mayo. When she came back she stood at the end of the bar talking to a guy (not employee) standing by her not setting at the bar the opposite end from us. She missed out on a $10.00 tip. This continues to be an ongoing issue with this location. We love the other two locations and the food and service is always outstanding.

While this place has a great atmosphere, the food doesn't match up. I ordered a tilapia dish with rice and vegetables. I could've sworn it was a Lean Cuisine that had just come out of the microwave! It was piping hot and over-seasoned. The rice was over-cooked and almost crunchy. The fish was tasteless, smothered in some kind of sauce and seasonings and alot of black pepper to make up for it I guess. We ordered chips and artichoke dip as an appetizer and the chips were hard as rocks, not light and crunchy, and we had to scrape the salt off of them. Probably not going back here.

This place is horrible! Food is ok, if you get it. The manager Oscar doesn’t care if he loses customers, he throws his own employees under the bus; but wait, there’s more! After 50 minutes, we got my appetizer, that was supposed be a main course, Oscar finally came over and offered to comp that. We still didn’t have our food. He went to kitchen and returned with it in a few minutes and explained that they were extremely busy and sometimes it takes a while. That was not the case, it was a slow night and people after us had eaten and left. I’ve ran larger restaurants with busier to go orders. We took our messed up, late food to go and my wife’s chicken panini, had a half a slice of chicken 1/4” on one side and a half dollar size piece on the other side. I went back in to show Oscar and he decided to talk down to me and pretend I was a piece of trash on his shoe. He was surprised I slapped the worthless meal across the restaurant and went to walk out. He then decided to follow me out and continuing to push my buttons when some tall dude came rushing out the back like he was a bouncer and I was touching a stripper. He said he was the GM, John and would not step to a quiet place to speak with me and proceeded to have the cops called. He closed the door on me instead of having a conversation outside. He basically said that the panini was made to standard and that a 50+ minute wait time on food was not an issue. $75 for 2 beers and no edible food. I have never been so disrespected at an eatery in my life.

Bring the family because there is something for everyone. This restaurant is located in what was previously two failed restaurants, which is dangerous. But they were successful where they were before so that helped. The food is tasty and the service is good. I suggest trying the Ahi Tuna appetizer!

Average, barely. The food was great and the spinach salad was excellent. My lamb-burger was great, although, it had been cooked on a grill too hot, which resulted in the outside being "scorched" and crusted from the burn, and not quite cooked enough inside. But, the waitress made up for the 4-star of the food...she was inattentive...perhaps a bit miffed that we were slow to order...we had a group of 9...she disappeared for 10-12 minutes after we ordered drinks and overall, I'd rate her a D....

Having dined at the Stone Werks on various occasions, I am always disappointed by the wait staff's lack of caring about customer orders/satisfaction, etc..... The COVID 19 restrictions in this dining spot were very lax, once the lunch hour began....... NO cleansing tables/several staff were touching dinner plates then their masks, then the customer's plates....never cleaning their hands after doing so. Busy at 12:00 so the wait staff let us sit and wait for our drinks and it was a solid HOUR until she returned to our table with food. It was a little nerve wracking watching all of this..... but we were left to sit, therefore we could vividly view what was going on. Waitress never apologized for the length of the wait, never refilled our drinks with fresh ice or water.......and then sadly, when the salad arrived.....the blue cheese dressing was warm and the lettuce wilted. I knew not to say a word........for fear of how long a fresh, new salad might take.....and we were having a business lunch. Soups ordered by others were cold. Disappointing.

We stayed in a vacation rental during the Thanksgiving holidays and the owner had listed this restaurant as a "close by good choice", so we tried it one night and really liked it. The décor was beautiful and we had a really good server that was both knowledgeable about the food and was very personable. The food was very good - not great - but very good and reasonably priced. Would recommend for a casual meal, family get together.

I LOVE Stonewerks! I tried the beyond burger for first time! I liked it and will order instead of burgers! I am disappointed that we didn’t leave room for the famous Stonewerks 14 Karat Cake! I was impressed that the manager and another employee sanitized the tables AND CHAIRS! I always check to see how the tables are cleaned and so many places it is top of table only! The server gave us a wipe to clean credit card, pen and hands! Nice touch!

We have visited the Stone Works Grille on many occasions and were only disappointed once (hard boiled eggs instead of poached on Eggs Benedict). Every other time we have come away very pleased. Their sandwiches are monsters. Philadelphia Cheese Steak sandwich made with cream cheese, piled high with steak. I generally bring have of it back home. The same is true for their Rueben sandwich. This place is also our go-to place for Sunday brunch. Cocktails are tasty and tall. This is one of our favorite places.

This place is one of the best! The staff, the ambience, the decor, the management,....and the food!! The desserts!! WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! their portions are large, and everything is just top notch all around. You witness the teamwork, the professionalism and it is what you always hope you get going to any restaurant!

First time here. Business lunch for two. Service was attentive. Salads were pretty good. Menu was expansive! Great bar area that looks like its probably pretty happening at night. Good outdoor area as well.

This place has one of the best BBQ chicken pizzas I've ever had. The portions are huge. I'm a big dude and I could only eat three pieces

Stone Werks has great ambiance and an eclectic selection of food. I have always had great service here - with family and a group of friends. The food is very good. Sat at the bar with a friend a couple of times and the bartenders (John and can't remember the other guy's name) kept us entertained, for sure.

My family and I went for Sunday lunch and even though we have been visiting this place for several years, it seems the service keeps getting worse after time. Our waiter completely forgot our appetizers and around 40 minutes afterward brought us our entrees. And apologized for not bringing out the appetizers, and asked if we still wanted them, or if we will like them in a box to go. We ended up getting neither the appetizers, as we have re-ordered, and close to 40 min. later the manager Alex Ramon apologized, giving us a $50 dollar discount. The place was half way full, and could not figure out why the service was so terrible. We probably spent close to 2 hours in the experience which would not like to repeat.

Inside is very nice, comfortable seating. Went on 3 occasions while visiting the SA area, each time with similar results. Service is extremely slow. I sat at the bar and almost had to bribe the bartender to get a drink. Literally waited 10 minutes to get my bill. Bartenders each time seemed VERY distracted, maybe they have other duties, regardless service at the bar is not good. I did not order food, so I cannot comment on quality. However, the reason I didn't order is prices are WAY out of line and expensive for glorified bar grub. $15 for a burger is over the top, IMO. It may be a place if you're more interested in ambiance rather than service and value, but I won't be returning. Too many better choices in the immediate area.

This is a restaurant with great food and great service! Their blue lump crab cake with shoe strings French fries and Cole slaw is delicious and filling. Recommend having a DOS XX-Tall to go along with the meal. If you like comfort food, their classic Mac n Cheese with added Bacon will make one feel like their dining at home. Price for this meal with drinks, tax, and tip: $20/person. This is our neighborhood gem, which we go to for special occasions.

We recently dined here mainly because it was close to our condo. The atmosphere is nice, but the noise from the bar area came over into the dining room. I loved their Melon Bellini. The rotisserie chicken was moist and tender, but my mashed potatoes and veggies were luke warm. We were seated next to the kitchen and noticed several platters being returned due to temperature issues. They need to have dedicated food runners so that the food doesn't sit there getting cold. Our server was attentive and friendly.

The last time we came to this place was for dinner. This time we went for their happy hour, thinking that maybe prices would be cheaper. Not much savings, a couple of dollars on the appetizers and a buck on the drinks. We had the Kobe Sliders which were good and the oysters on a half shell which was a little more expensive than other places.

Decor and vibe were OK, but for the price, much better food can be had. Fired mushrooms were greasy and tasteless, served with equally tasteless cream gravy (why not ranch?), Guacamole was just OK (for San Antonio, really?). Had the pulled pork tacos, which were bland. Will likely not return. For what you get, prices were also high at almost $100 for four with no alcohol.

Even for a Tuesday night this place was busy and loud. Waiters are too busy to pay attention to your needs. Our drinks were taken but did not get picked up at the bar in time so by the time they were served to us they were watered down already. We ordered 2 appetizers; the calamari was so-so heavy on the batter, the oyster Rockefeller was delicious. Fish and chips was terrible; very little fish and again very heavy batter. The pizzas were great, generous with the filling and enough for 2 people.

The atmosphere was nice and the food (Grilled Chicken Sandwich) was excellent. The server was a little slow getting to our table due to chatting with his other tables too long. This is not always a bad thing but in our case, it seemed that he didn't want to be attentive to our needs. We will be back for the great food.

Found this place near the grocery store in San Antonio. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our meal! Reasonably priced and generous portions.

This was my first time to dine at this restaurant. Really good food. Good service. Great environment. Our group of 10 is not an easy to please/impress bunch, but Stonewerks at the Vineyard did a very good job! The restaurant is actually quite large with a well designed outside area. I can recommend this restaurant without any hesitation. Carrot cake was splendid!

The food was good we had oysters and cerviche with salads we had good service but the bloody mary was not mixed right had to send it back but the second one was much better

Oysters were SO CHEAP and so was the pizza. Salads, everything, was oh-so-tasty! Nice patio area suitable even for winter due to the heat lamps and fireplaces.

Our waiter was very nice and courteous. I had fish tacos and he let me substitute the borracho beans with sweet potato fries. After a few minutes, the fries were cold and the friend who was eating with me had the same issue. But, all in all, not bad.

My wife loves Stoneworks in Lincoln Heights but we went to Vineyard location. She had blackened tuna and I had grilled shrimp. Food and sides were hot and delicious and mixed drinks weren’t watered down like at many restaurants. Great meal and reasonable prices!!

Sotnewerks has been one of our favorite restaurants for years but recently it has really gone down hill. On our last visit, we were a group of 6 and everything that COULD go wrong, DID go wrong. Orders were wrong; Food was cold: Orders were left on the counter waiting to be served (an order of peel&eat shrimp was left on the counter so long that the ice all melted and the shrimp was soggy when finally served; A medium-well steak was served on a plate full of RED blood. When we asked to speak to the manager, they sent out a very young trainee who said he would make things right but never did a thing. I don't think we will ever go back. Also every TV (perhaps 3 different programs) had the speakers turned up so loud that they were cracking - people had to scream to just talk across the table. So all the patrons were screaming, making for more noise. That may be OK in a bar, but not in a supposedly nice restaurant.

The food was absolutely top notch, the service was great and the restaurant is really beautiful inside and outside (large dining area). We will definitely return!

Have eaten here several times in the last few years and the food is good depending on what you order...stay away from the trout, the salads are very good and the rest is upscale bar food....service is generally good...management will intercede if any significant problems occur ....Ambiance is very good and I enjoy the place in spite of short comings.

Good drinks the place is all wise packed and I see why its a little expensive but the wings are great the portions are big and the music was great.

Tired and hungry we were seated quickly. Service wasn't bad but it wasn't great, the place wasn't packed so we expected better. Had to keep asking for drink refills. Based on waiters own knowledge we found food to be much more spicer than he acknowledge. Dessert was good. Drinks were over priced. The price you pay did not weigh out with the experience. If I don't go back I won't be missing anything.

There are two Stone Werks in San Antonio. I have been to the one on Broadway many times and their Greek Salad is wonderful. I ordered the Greek Salad at the Blanco location and was very disappointed. It was almost tasteless. The waiter was inattentive. I will not go back.

great food, great waiter, told him it was her birthday and he said they don't sing or embarrass people but would do a little dessert with candle and leave the singing to us. Was perfect. Some people love the big TADO but others don't, so letting us have a private celebration over good food was great, we go fairly often to eat here NEVER disappointed.

I love this restaurant! I live in Austin and I've been here twice because of the airport. I highly recommend their delicious, amazing herb crusted rotisserie Prime Rib!! It is to die for!! Yummy!!

The pan seared salmon with the accompanying vegetables (asparagus, cipollini onion, roasted beets, roasted grape tomatoes with garlic whipped potatoes and an olive tapenade) was very flavorful. An accompanying salad is available at a small additional cost ($2.25). Although the restaurant was busy, despite this being a Wednesday night, we were seated immediately and had attentive service. In fact, several managerial types stopped by our table just to check to see if everything was okay. The menu is quite varied with a good selection of sandwiches & burgers, salads, as well as chicken, beef, and seafood dishes. We will definitely return.

Food was 2.5 /5. Service was 4/5. Setting was 4/5. Pricey. Pulled pork was not eaten. Burgers were just ok. Over 70$ for fam of 4. No apps. No drinks. No dessert. Burgers / tacos. . This review is based on one experience.

Recently visited this restaurant. We ordered an appetizer (chips and queso) and 2 different burgers with fries. The food tasted good and the service was great. The menu is broad and the decor is inviting. Upscale bar pub vibe.

Whole place is filled with energy. Wait staff was great, good happy hour, and food. Fish & chips were good as was the tuna sandwich. Live music on the patio though did not like the hip-hop.

We decided to stop by for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon, which in the end was the wrong decision. Instead of waiting for a table, we chose to sit at a booth in the bar area. We were promptly greeted and handed menus. After a few minutes, a waiter stopped by the table and took our order of one beer, a glass of water and an appetizer (table side guacamole). We got the beer and glass of water, without any issue. I should mention, this was post lunch hour and prior to any happy hour kicking off, the restaurant was not very crowded (bar area about half full). Finally, realizing more than a half an hour had passed, we still had not received a very simple order of guacamole. I had planned ordering a drink from the bar and ordering an actual meal but the waiter had been mainly out of sight. I told my husband we should just cancel the order and go somewhere else. He told the bartender we were leaving and cancel the order. As we were leaving, I noticed the waiter and let him know we were leaving. His reply was, "oh, its taking too long?" and I said, "yeah for an appetizer, little too long." To save any grace upon the restaurant, the bartender did not charge for ONE beer. I had noticed a manager speaking to a nearby table as we were arriving, should have taken that as a not-so-good sign. Would we go back? Probably not. We would not have wanted to wait around to find out much longer the actual service would have taken. Thumbs up to the bartender, double thumbs down to everything else.

First the food was fine and the service was good. Apparently if you are a "regular" you can bring your dog into the dining room to dine with you. Sit next to you in a booth and put their paws up on the table. I understand service dogs and am thankful for what they do and fully understand the guidelines for them. This was a chihuahua in a mini football jersey - no service dog vest or other ID marking it as a service animal. Plus service animals never behave such as what I watched! Don't bother asking the hostess - if you are deemed a "regular" it is ok. She didn't even try to use "that is a service dog". Very dismayed at this lack of following health board policy.

Ate here with group of 8, including kids. Huge menu to satisfy multiple desires. Clean, friendly, nice ambience, but feels a little like a "chain". Still, I would go back because the food was good.

We've eaten here on average 1x/month. We've tried the fish tacos, burgers, sliders, pulled pork, cobb and swestern salad. All fresh and delicious. variety of wines by the glass and craft beer to compliment the meal. Service is smart. Outdoor patio for the after 5 crowd; heated in the winter time.

I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time I was not that impressed. I just got a salad so its hard to tell how a place is based off that. However the second time I ordered their filet mignon. That is my favorite and I order it at many restaurants. I like to think you can tell how good the restaurant and chef is based on the filet mignon. This was in my top 3 best filet mignons ever. Now I order it all the time so to be in the top 3 is pretty impressive. I was NOT expecting it and could barely even believe it when I was eating it. But there you have it. It was delicious and I will be going back for it sometime. Also our service was amazing. Tipped the guy big time.

Went to Stone Werks for 56th anniversary. None of the san Antonio steak houses offer prime rib, and that is our special event main course. We went early to avoid the sports bar atmosphere. The interior is really nice with the sports bar TV's. Our waiter, Duwan, was attentive and very efficient. Cocktails of Rob Roy made with Dewars were really good. An appetizer of Oysters Rockefeller was better than expected by my wife who is not an oyster lover. I could have made an entire dinner of the oysters. We split a caesar side salad followed by the rotisserie prime rib with roasted potato wedges and horseradish cream sauce. Excellent to say the very least. We will be back for more prime rib.

What a great place! We liked it sooo much from lunch on Wednesday that we went back for dinner on Thursday!~ Jaclyn took great care of us for lunch. She let us sample wines before we settled on the one to have with oysters on the half shell. They were slurped down in no time! Then my sister and I shared the THE RUSTIC FLATBREAD--Mozzarella, provolone, gorgonzola cheese, goat cheese, parmesan reggiano, prosciutto and topped with arugula in a light citrus vinaigrette and truffle oil. Delizioso, and plenty to share! My daughter and her husband shared the FILET MIGNON FLATBREAD--Beef tenderloin, mozzarella, gorgonzola, provolone and parmesan reggiano cheese with caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms on top of a gorgonzola cream sauce and drizzled with balsamic reduction. That was to-die-for as well! Thursday dinner had the ladies enjoy the oysters on the half shell (again). We all shared a Greek salad (huge portion). I devoured my pulled pork tacos, my mom loved her pan-fried trout, and my sister was likewise pleased with her Ahi tuna steak, cooked just the way she liked. We asked our waitress, Samantha, to bring out the chef. He was naturally apprehensive, but was quite pleased when we gushed about his entrees. I don't think the kitchen gets the kudos they deserve, so we made sure Hector heard from his new fans! Even the manager, Sarah, came over to make sure we were taken care of (she probably freaked out when she saw the chef at our table!). Two big thumbs up for this place. It's our new favorite hangout when we're in San Antonio!

We t to lunch with a party of eight and the service was great! Our server was fast, friendly, and very courteous. Our drink glasses never went empty. The hamburger is awsome. The tuna sandwich is huge and also delicious. The fried shrimp is very good. I loved that the food was HOT when it came to out table. The restaurant is very clean as are the bathrooms. You will not be disappointed in this restaurant.

Love the atmosphere with the big stone fireplace and all the wood. I've been here twice and the service was excellent the first time. The second time got off to a slow start but the manager, Jonas, made it right by taking our order himself initially, then comping us chips and queso (which was delicious) and getting our server to take care of us from there and checking on us later. I had the Seared Tenderloin Chopped Salad, which was fabulous. My husband had the Asian Salmon Salad but it was dry. However, he had ordered it well done.

I have been to this restaurant many times and love the fact that they are consistently good. Friendly staff and good food, who could ask for more.

I enjoy he food at this restaurant. I had the new spinach salad. It was really good except for the chicken that the was in it. It was supposed to be "orange glazed" but it just had a really bland taste and the texture was weird. My son had a calzone that he loved and my husband really liked his chicken fried steak, although the portion was huge. Mixed drinks are good and strong, but a little pricey.
Don't hesitate to it here
I was very impressed with the sincerely kind people working at Stone Werks. You'll find a broad selection of choices on the menu that will fulfill most peoples appetites. There is a bar with a variety of televisions, plus a nice section of 6 sofa chairs if you are only drinking. The environment is cozy, the food is tasty, and the service was good. I will be eating here again.
