First time, last time - was in today for lunch, had a cross between a Philly Cheese-steak & a French dip. It was fine, nice atmosphere. Suspect I'd rated higher but for two things: 1) I watched a waitress drop a cup, saucer & spoon and then place it back among the clean dishes. What else has hit the floor? 2) Twenty bucks by the time I leave a tip for a sandwich & a glass of tea is not a good "bang for the buck" deal. Suspect this is a place for the more well healed that don't have to watch their wallet as close as some of us. Do not remember the servers name but AJ was trailing her "in training".

Our first visit. Great server. Very attentive, knowledgable about menu. Filet mignonette flatbread was good and large portion size. Pulled pork tacos well presented, but will try something else next visit. Very nice outdoor area, but not for August in S.A. Will try again!

So great!! The restaurant is a little deceiving from the outside. The sign and building look like a generic chain restaurant. But inside it’s a gorgeous, industrial chic vibe. We were warmly welcomed at sat quickly. Server was great, and both apps and entrees arrived in a timely manner. The food was outstanding. We liked it so much we returned the next night for dinner! Excellent quality and service both times. We look forward to returning next time we’re in San Antonio!

Nice lunch time with family. We got the fried mushrooms, stonewerks club salad, and Wedge salad and pizza. The pizza's here are great. Very good crust. Salads were great. Huge size. Oh yes, also the Mandarin Orange and Spinach Salad. This salad was my favorite and we had the chicken with it. Two people can share the salads for the size. Service was fast, food took a while to get to us. It was lunchtime but we went early so I am not sure why it took a while because it was not that busy yet. Even though...once we did get the food it was good. We happened to walk from Fiesta Texas...wow...it was about a 4-5 mile walk. But great walk. We were hungry and thirsty. The server kept our tea and water glasses full. Very nice waiter...Jacob! He was very helpful with explaining menu ideas and selections. He was very polite and professional. He help make the long wait for food....ok. He should be a manager!

We have never had a bad experience here! The food is always delicious and the service is great! Our waitress was attentive but not bothersome. We had fish and chips and a chopped salad with chicken strips it was all super yummy and the portions are very large. We will definitely come back-- it's a great place for couples, families or large parties!

Met an old colleague for drinks and dinner. Nice bar area to hang out. Good selection of beer and happy hour specials. The Flatbread we had as an appetizer was really good. Also had the prime rib sandwich later for dinner is was really good as well. I will definitely be back when travel back to San Antonio.

My family and I gather at Stonewerks at the Rim every time I'm in Boerne Texas which is just 20 miles down the road. We enjoyed the shops nearby; but we especially enjoy the food, atmosphere and the service at Stonewerks. The hamburger, Salads, chicken strips, nachos, shrimp bruschetta, pizza and crab mac and cheese were all prepared perfectly and received rave reviews by the family!

My family of three visited Stonewerks yesterday through an invitation for happy hour as a thank you. Happy Hour included a choice of beer, wine, and some mixed drinks. Knowing we were coming we booked a reservation through Open Table. For Dinner we were seated promptly and our server was quick and courteous. We ordered a variety of items including The Tomato Basil Soup, Grown Up Grilled Cheese and Deviled Eggs. We also ordered the Rotisserie Prime Rib with Garlic Whipped Potatoes, Sautéed Julienne Vegetables with Fresh Horseradish Sauce. The last order was the Seared Mahi Mahi with Wild Rice Blend and Sautéed Vegetables. Everything was tasty. What is especially good are the Deviled Eggs (so delicious) and the fresh made Horseradish sauce. I can’t wait to go back and try other menu is now.

Love this place! Food is eclectic and prepared well. I have never been disappointed. Happy hour is always packed. The many large screen televisions mare locatedmsomthat every table can see the current games. They are willing to change channels upon request. So, drink up, eat and be merry! This place has never disappointed.

Decided to try Stonewerks Big Rock Grille @ the RIM. I saw it in the RIM shopping plaza several times and then I noticed it was part of the Hilton HHonors Dining program. So I thought I'd give it a try late on a Saturday night since they were still serving food. First time my food came out it was wrong; not really the bartender or even the cooks fault. I hate when a restaurant lists what comes in/on a particular dish, but then there are things that are not listed in the menu also. So after sending it back and recooking it; The Greek Flatbread; it was almost 11 before I ate. The Greek Flatbread didn't taste that spectacular. hardly any chicken; im not sure it was even baked. Oh well; I gave it a try. Prices are a little steep; $17 for a flatbread... I might give it another try sometime. but will defiantly be ordering something different.

Been going here for years because of great HH specials and their tasty flatbreads. During season their raw oysters are very good as well. Extensive menu for everyone's taste.

Left my credit card there accidentally. I was on a business trip flying home today. I called and spoke to Jasmine who asked what my friend's name was who was going to pick up the card and she said that would be fine as long as she brings her ID. My friend tries to pick up my card today and they would not give it to her. apparently Jasmine was called and asked about this and said the conversation never existed. So I'm planning to have a conversation with her manager Mike tomorrow. I will never go to this restaurant again the food was mediocre.

Great patio bar and inside bar area, decent drink options and prices. Good place to watch a game or even numerous games as there are many large TVs available with easy viewing. However, do not order food! The menu and menu items look great when reading, but the food is below par, especially for the price. Me and my fiance' went there - she had the shrimp avocado salad - the shrimp tasted terrible, very fishy, like they had been frozen for a long time then put in the microwave. A $15 meal that we sent back, got a new salad with chicken, and it was very bland. Also $15. I had the rotisserie chicken with asparagus and mashed sweet potatoes. Very average without much flavor for about $16. If you want a nice bar atmosphere to watch a game, and don't plan on eating, then this is a decent place. But eat elsewhere!

No waiter came to the table after several minutes of waiting. Parties that came after us got waited on right away. It was early in the day (11am) and I counted literally 7 wait staff just standing around talking to each other. I had to ask the hostess to get me a manager so I could ask him for a waiter. I don’t find this acceptable at all. Quality of food was okay, maybe 5 or 6 out of 10. This will be my last time coming here.

A new restaurant that we tried last year. Very good and friendly wait staff. Each waiter has limited tables so service is nonstop. Food was great and a many varied menu. The decor was refreshing and customers all seem to enjoy their dining experience. Not really a kid hang out.

Took friends here who were very impressed (I knew they would be). All selections were very well prepared and the bonus was the live band on the patio after dinner. A great time was had by all.

Title says it all. Go for drinks, Food is mediocre at best. Ordered the Mahi. Arrived overcooked, and over seasoned served with cold rice and room temp asparagus. There are lots of better choices in the area. Don't eat here.

My family loves it here because of the ambience and excellent food choices. The veggie burger is very great (a favorite) and the mac-n-cheese is also really good.

I Ordered the grilled chicken chopped salad because chopped salad is a favorite of mine. The menu said it included bacon, avocado and eggs. Instead I received almost more carrots than lettuce and very little avocado, bacon or eggs. Plus the chicken breast was overcooked and dry. To top it off, the waiter couldn’t get the tea orders correct after two attempts.

All was great as usual. Best day to sit on the patio, have a great glass of wine and some delicious starters, but no cigar??? All the other Stone Werks locations offer a full choice of select cigars (do check the humidor as sometimes they get neglected!). None the less the atmosphere was very nice, services was good and the food was beyond expectations. Go to a movie at the Rim no then indulie in Stone Werks.

My husband and I just moved to San Antonio and it was my husbands 30th birthday. We invited friends and had his birthday dinner at this Stone Werks location on Basse. IT WAS TERRIBLE from the moment we walked in!!!! They had the reservation number short by two so we had 8 people scrunched at a round table!! Service was aweful!!!! It took 20 minutes to get a drink from the bar and then the drink brought to the table wasn't even the right one. Our waitor took our orders and then when it was time to give us our tabs at the end of the night he had to go around and ask everyone AGAIN what they ordered!!! THEN it took 20 minutes for him to get it straight on the computer. Only one person got their meal comped because they forgot to put it on the ticket, and the rest of us dropped over $100 for our tabs. There was absolutely NO concern from our waitor or manager about how upset we were. I called to speak to another manager the next day and told him how upset we were with the service and how terrible of a time we had and how embarrassed we were to bring our friends there. He apologized and said he wanted to send my husband and I a giftcard so they could make it up to us. I have YET to receive those giftcards in the mail!!! I am beyond disappointed with this establishment!!!! Would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE!!!!

I think this is my last time for Stone Werks. I went for dinner and ordered a happy hour margarita. It tasted like a Sweetart lime drink. I had to send it back. Then I ordered the fried shrimp. It tasted as if it was frozen for a year and had a thick breading. I was so disappointed. Every time I go there the place is empty and the food isn't very good. I did complain to the manager and he informed me that corporate is the one that decides on the drinks and the food. Corporate needs to come to SA and eat and drink their own food and see for themselves. The only recommendation for this place is the happy hour oysters and cold beer. Very sad. The service was good.

Great food and good inside bar. The bands on Friday and Saturday are way too loud. You can’t talk to the people you’re with or hear anything. They need to tone it down a bit and it would be perfect.

We hadn't been back to Stonewerks in a while after a slight problem with a bartender. We stopped in for lunch on 5/16, and were very glad we did. We were the only ones eating on the patio. The food (lunch pizza and salad, 1/2 sandwich with soup) was fresh and delicious and our server was a pleasure to deal with. He made our afternoon. He was pleasant, had a great sense of humor and terrific attitude. Stonewerks goes back on our regular restaurant rotation thanks to him.

Food is good, Nice place you can dine outside nice large covered patio with water features, outside bar, sometimes live music. Indoor bar, cool, dark, lots of sports on TV. Main dining room nice large area. Bar is rarely loud enough to disturb main dining room. I always eat grilled chicken or fish and salad so I am not sure about the rest of the menu. I see people eating oysters and shrimp. My family like fried food which is also available here as well. Try the Brussels sprouts if they have them on the menu. Awesome!!!

I (35) decided to head out for appetizers and drinks the Wed before Thanksgiving with hubby (36), brother (34), and sister (38). We arrived at the restaurant which was lit up outside in anticipation of Christmas. The fire place in the bar area, it was a fun and cheerful atmosphere. Everyone was having a wonderful time. We each ordered different drinks and appetizers to share. Food: Our table ordered the spinach artichoke dip with focaccia bread (extra charge), fried mushrooms (came with cream gravy), and the sliders with mayo on the side. My husband and brother ordered beer, bud light and Dos Equis (spelling). I ordered the martini, it tasted like a margarita and my sister ordered Bacardi and sprite. The spinach dip was absolutely delicious, I would order this again. I was not thrilled with the mushrooms and the sliders were alright as well. Service: There wasn't a wait when we arrived around 8:15, it was early. The waiter was great, very attentive, friendly and added to the fun atmosphere. We would definitely come back for drinks and the spinach dip and perhaps try another appetizer. I've never had the entrees so I can't comment on it.

Had the occasion to try the new brunch offering here. Seems everyone else had the same idea as we arrived at 12:30 on Sunday and were told that the kitchen was behind so we would have to wait 30 minutes for a table. Finally seated close to 1:00, we already knew what we wanted to order after reviewing the menu online before we came. We both decided to get the prime rib eggs benedict with hash browns. My wife ordered scrambled eggs instead of the normal poached. It took about 15 minutes and a couple of drink refills to bring us our order. Overall the dish was just O.K. The disappointments were that the rib eye was chipped instead of sliced, the hollandaise was rather lack luster and thin, and the hash browns were frozen potato hunks that were not very well seasoned. Just don't think the quality was there to justify $17 a plate,

I have been going to Stonewerks on Blanco road and 1604 for years and it is EXCELLENT. Tonight my husband and I tried Stonewerks at the Rim. We ordered a side Caeser salad and a cup of Chicken Poblano soup. The salad came out warm, lettuce was not crisp and the plate was warm also. The soup was very watery and thin which is NOT how it is usually prepared. We were seated next to the kitchen prep area in a booth. The booth had a low point in the seat and you could smell the cleaning rags they used on the table from where we were sitting. If you want a good meal go to Blanco road Stonewerks. The interior design is better and the food sure is.

I need at least 7 more visits to be able to try all the food combinations that I want or wish to. I took my family so I could scavenge other plates.

you're never too old to eat a grilled cheese sandwich with THREE types of cheese: Monterey jack, smoked gouda & american cheese on sourdough bread. Served with shoestring fries. the shoestring fries make you feel like there aren't any calories in them cause they're so skinny. you have to eat 5 at once just to taste the actual fries ! The country fried steak is so big that my parents had to split one......the Big Rock Chopped Club Salad Chopped romaine & iceberg lettuce, chicken tender strips, monterey jack & cheddar cheese, hearts of palm, cucumbers, tomato, applewood bacon, avocado, carrots, egg & ranch dressing was perfect for two people.....service was a tad slow.....

The seafood bar is acceptable as is the prime rib. THe food is not bad for a city that lacks high end restaurants. Wine selection is acceptable. The crab cake is also good. I always order fresh oysters and during evenings the The prime rib. The Ahi Tuna is also good. There really isn't much to say about this place since it's an ok retaurant with mediocre service and acceptable food but NOT much more

A lunch consisting of fish tacos and fresh guacamole fell flat for me. The tacos and guacamole were unseasoned. The flour taco shells were stale and hard as rocks. What was most bothersome, though, was that when an employee swung by to ask me how my lunch was, and I gently commented on the food, he remarked "yeah, there's a new guy in the kitchen," and "they should use a different kind of fish." I never saw him again, and thereafter my server steadfastly avoided eye contact and only came by to drop off the bill. Overall a very weird experience.

My wife and I went here for a date night. We had a reservation and were seated immediately which was a lot for a Friday night. The restaurant was LOUD. I mean this place was so loud it was hard for the two of us to talk to each other at the same table. I think it has to do with poor acoustical design but I am just guessing. Our service was extremely poor. We saw our server three times total and about 5 or 6 other servers in between. No one ever told us our server is tied up with a big party or on a break or who knows what, we just kept getting random new servers who were more focused on trying get us served so they could go onto their tables. The food was pretty good. I had the Prime Rib and it was DELICIOUS and a very generous portion. My wife had the rotisserie chicken which was dry but the rest of her meal was good. Overall the experience was not bad but we also gave a lot of room for error considering it was a very busy Friday night.

We've been to Stonewerks about 6 times, the first couple of times for happy hour. Then we went for a regular dinner several times and were very pleased. I've had the pepper incrusted seared ahi tuna dinner with mango salsa three times (with sauteed veggies and wild rice) and twice it has been perfect and once had some small tough spots in it but I ate around that. Beautifully prepared tuna and perfect veggies and delicious rice. My husband had the chicken fried steak and it was tender and not greasy at all. The artichoke spinach dip is the best I have ever had. Has a nice heat to it. They serve it with chips and salsa but you don't need the salsa. Once we got it with focochia and it was almost enough for a meal. Happy hour wines are $5 and they are ok. Last time I splurged for a glass of Avalon Cab for $9 and it was very good - but limited myself to that one glass. For meals, I've also had the potato crusted tilapia and a salmon dish - both very good. The flatbread pizzas are very good but I don't recommend the regular pizzas as they are extremely heavy - about 5 pound each - too much cheese! They have happy hour 7 days a week with reduced prices on several appetizers, $5 house wines and some cheap beers. It can get noisy but we like to sit in the raised area behind the wine room. Fairly quiet there. Once we went on a Saturday night at 7 pm and the wait was 35 minutes so we didn't stay. Most of the time there is no waiting for a couple. Nice place with good food.

We love coming here after a day of shopping as it's located in the perfect spot. We always sit in the bar and watch all the big screens, have a drink and either snacks or a meal. The menu is varied so it's a great place for a group...something for everyone. The food here has never disappointed and we find ourselves here quite a bit. Service is great & the restrooms are always clean. (that's a big deal for me)

I love Stonewerks, consistently good food and great service. They have a grilled shrimp salad with avocado that is delicious. Also love their pizzas and sliders. Happy hour is great, lots of selections. Outside patio is great place to relax and hang out. Definitely recommend.

Had a cheese pizza and three hours later had food poisoning from the pizza.

If you are around 1604 and IH10, La Cantera or The Rim, you should try Stonewerks in the Rim shopping area. The bar: good selection of beer, good bloody mary's and very good margaritas. Good variety of food, all above par. We've had the fish & chips, pizzas, sliders, salads, etc....all very good and fresh. Good, attentive and pleasant staff in an attractive setting. Parking can some time be a hassle...always available but you may have to walk a little. Not the best, but always reliable. Good for after work waiting until traffic dies down.

God I love this place. The absolute best oysters on the half shell I have ever tasted. I picked my hotel close by just so I could eat here.

I was nervous after reading the reviews but we found our visit to be pleasant. We had reservations and there got us in immediately, service was good and our order was taken in a timely matter and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. Food was delicious!

We went there with a big group for a wedding in San Antonio. It was my first time there and they were very accomidating to the size of our good. It didn't hurt that it was early in the day. Great place to watch football out on the patio or they have a private room with a TV. The food was very good and the prices are average for this type of place. I wish they had one in Houston.

Four of us went to Stone Werks for lunch. I had the country fried steak (with garlic mashed potatoes, cream gravy, sauteed vegetables, and garlic bread). The steak itself was plate-sized! The potatoes had a bit too much garlic for my taste, the bread was dry, and the vegetables dripped oil, though the flavor was good. The 1/2 chicken salad sandwich and soup were equally over-sized,with the half sandwich having almost a full cup of the chicken salad. The tomato basil soup was a very large bowl-full, rather than the expected cup. The other two persons each had half-pound burgers, which they described as very good. (One came with smoked gouda cheese and bacon; the other, a large chicken filet with avocado.) Each had one side dish, in this case fries and a pasta salad. This cafe would be idea for folks with very large appetites, especially those wanting a bit of somewhat dark sports bar ambiance. Total cost for the four of us, just under $50, plus tip.

They usually have a great band on Friday and Saturday's. They have good food, personal choice but they should bring back the Smoked Salmon Flatbread.

Had dinner with friends after a special occasion. We enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff. Must get food and drinks from here !!

I eat here at least 2x a week. The atmosphere is great, food is excellent and the service is hit and miss. I enjoy the flat screen tv's everywhere, and love the ole jazz and blues as background music. They offer a great selection of food and draft beer. Depending on the bartender, they can make drinks not offered on their menu upon request - I requested a peach margarita - and it was one of the best drinks I ever tasted. The blueberry cobbler is to die for! My friends and I have not had a bad meal from here not once. They offer lunch special, happy hour specials and a regular menu.

Went on a Friday night. There was live music at the terrace. Inside we enjoyed a couple of NCAA March Madness games with great ambiance. Food and drinks were excellent. Had some oysters, tuna tacos and stakes. All was good. A great place to go and have fun with friends while at the Rim in San Antonio.

This restaurant has a really nice ambiance and pretty good food. The service was on point! I had the Baja Shrimp tacos which were really tasty. Margaritas were good, too. I splurged and had the apple cobbler, but it was my least favorite item. We'll definitely be coming back for tacos and margaritas!

Great place to hangout and watch sports in addition to enjoying happy hour. They have a live band usually on Thursday's and possibly on the weekends too. It can get pretty loud inside, but I really enjoy their variety of flatbreads, oysters on a half shell and shrimp. Their mini burgers are tasty too. If you go after work get there early like 4:30 to get good seating otherwise you will be standing. They also have another location off 1604 & Blanco which offers the same pleasures and service.

Our first visit to Stonewerks. Large seating capacity and we were seated almost immediately. The wait staff is friendly. We were a party of four and two in the party ordered the oysters on the half shell. We wanted them brought to the table before serving the entrees and although we waited a bit longer than expected for them, they did arrive before the entrees. They were cold and delicious. The entrees were a bit disappointing. My husband had a burger with mushrooms and onions and he said it was O.K. I had the shrimp tacos. The shrimp were battered and a bit soggy. Overall, the flavor was not outstanding. My entree came with a cup of soup, but no spoon to eat it with. i think a bit more attention to details, would benefit this restaurant's overall first impression. They did have a pecan porter on tap that was excellent.

I love the fish tacos here. It's a fun place to hang for happy hour. Great food, good service, fun folks. Can't go wrong.

I attended a Toastmasters officer training meal and the food came very quickly. I had a turkey burger and fries.

Had been there previously for work and was in town on personal trip with wife and she wanted something good but not like what we have at home. I normally eat pizza or fish tacos which are excellent, but decided to splurge and have crawfish stuffed salmon. Really disappointed, we buy a lot of HEB simple meals and cook them at home and work so I expected a better quality dish. The salmon was over cooked and dry with stuffing that was bland. I could have taken an HEB simple meal of stuffed salmon, melted some butter, poured it over the top and had a better quality meal for for about 1/4 the price. Will go back when there on business only for Pizza or fish tacos, but will try elsewhere for quality food.

Had lunch here good choice of food all cooked on the premises , the bread is cooked daily had a potato and chicken wrap very tasty ,good service

Went in this afternoon and noticed an issue outside and inside this facility straight away. I tried to battle through it, but just couldn’t and asked our server shortly after drinks were served. Hey man, there is a seriously nasty grease/drain odor inside and outside your facility. Yeah, we’re trying to work it now, we as servers cannot even walk in the back without throwing up! I will protect the server and not mention him, that’s for your honesty. Manager greed or what here? Putting your employees and customers in this situation is plumb nasty! Server confirmed all doors are open to air it out, but they can’t do anything further. Yes, the answer is to close until resolved! It’s 34 degrees outside and all of your doors are open? It’s not covering up the odor and/or unsanitary conditions. Be better!

I treated my family here as my son is going back to college again from christmas break. The prime rib was to die for. Ribeye steak was on point! Service was fast and the staff very attentive to our needs. The atmosphere was fantastic. I will definitely comeback here!

Or is an honest restaurant with fair prices and decent food. It is NOT a fine dining restaurant but it is good to try as an alternative. Oysters are good. Tuna tacos VERY good. Roast beef is also good.

We had a feel for cheeseburgers but didn't want your typical fast food place. Stonewerks was a great find. It offers a great variety of foods. A lot of them are more appetizing than a cheeseburger but we stuck to our guns. Their lamb burger was great, my wife had like a chicken club sandwich. For a reasonable price there is great ambiance and friendly service. I was able to watch my team play while smooth music played. Food, games, music as well as great service makes it a pretty good place to visit.

Fun spot, good outdoor covered dining spot. Happy hour has martinis, margaritas. Big portions, try the chopped salad.

I decided to take my wife here for my birthday, I received a $15 gift certificate as I signed up for their email list. The venue is very nice, wood and stone, quite Texas. Really relaxing. They have a good draft beer list, although I was a little disappointed they no longer carry Maredsous which is an outstanding Belgian Ale. No matter, I had a Paulener Heffeweizen and a Brooklyn Lager, both of which are great beers. We weren't all that hungry, so we ordered two appetizers, the Buffalo Wings and the Kobe Sliders. I grew up near Buffalo, so I made sure to ask for a sample of the Buffalo sauce before ordering, as many places serve glorified fried chicken and call it a Buffalo Wing. Stonewerks are authentic, very good and they have the proper Blue Cheese dressing. The Kobe Sliders were also nice. Service was very good. Attentive, but not annoying. We had a great time and look forward to returning again sometime.

A large group of us met here for happy hour. I called ahead for a reservation and the table was completely ready when all arrived. Their HH menu is about six or so appetizers to choose from for $5 each and then they have drink specials ranging from $3 to $5. If you are a light eater then an appetizer will do. Our waitress, Kelly, was very professional and attentive. All the orders were correct and all was served timely considering the size of the group and what all was ordered. The gratuity is automatically figured. We were even able to get separate tickets and it was figured in for us. All of the food was delicious and well presented. The wine was a good pour and good selections. The atmosphere was pleasant and not noisy or overly crowded during the week. The pricing is upscale if you don't go during HH but this a a good choice for any size group for happy hour, business, meeting, special occasion, etc.

I never leave bad reviews nor am i one to complain at restaurants but here we are…My husband and i went here yesterday evening for dinner with our kiddos. We come to this stonewerks quite often and everything is normally great. We love the food and service is typically decent. Unfortunately yesterday our service was horrible. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and food at the same time. After the waitress took our order we didn’t see her again for 45 minutes and never received anything other than our kids lemonades. We had to get the attention of a different sever because ours was completely absent and no where to be seen. Mind you, it was not busy at all and we even watched people come in after us that were served their food already. We ended up having to walk out with nothing ever served other than our drinks that we had the other sever bring us. My husband is a first responder and only had 1 day off from working a 72 hour shift. It would have been nice to be treated with better service. Words of advice, If our waitress was having an issue, you all should communicate better with your other severs and have them fill in for you not just abandon your table. Please do better!

Team Dinner with 12 people. Service was good and we loved the variety of items to choose from. Oyster's Rockefeller was a delicious appetizer for our group. Wine list was good and pricing competitive with surrounding venues. Had the filet and was better than average. I would be back with a date or large team again.

We attended a cocktail hour for a group of about 100, which was squeezed into a small section of the outside area. Even tho everyone was ticketed separately, all were charged the group rate gratuity. I would not have tipped that much, if given the option ... service was VERY slow and some of the drinks that were delivered were not as ordered. Server got "uppety" when that was pointed out (and there was plenty of staff wandering around for the crowd on hand). This location does not live up to the standards of their other locations.

We definitely do not see what these negative reviews talk about. Matt our server is one of the best servers we’ve seen in SA. Please promote him or give him some kind of recognition in front of his peers. Food was very delicious. Oysters Rockefeller were amazing. Great job on everything!

Very nice find. Clean, spacious and you can visit without loud music. I had the Shrimp Brochette and it was incredible. Crisp bacon, jalapeño added flavor, not heat. Daughter had the Snapper and it was spot on with the light crust. Chicken fried steak was tasty and huge! Angel was attentive without being obtrusive. Will go again next time we are in San Antonio.

We stopped in for lunch while at the Rim.......we had Shrimp Tacos, which were very good with a nice presentation. Also, a burger which was wonderful and had the best bun EVER! Great fries, too! Our server, Rebecca, was friendly, cheerful and efficient! Cheers!

This is a delightful place with great food and terrific service. The lamb-burger was so good as was our salmon (but lots of restaurants do salmon well). It is a nice place to stop when you go shopping at the Rim.

The menu has a lot, something for everyone. Our food was very good. The reason for not giving higher rating was lack of good service. Our group had grilled shrimp which was delicious, a basic burger that was very good, and tilapia that is still being talked about as so good. Our server just lacked. Hopefully your service is better.

We decided to try something new for dinner and came to Stonewerks. We had been years ago to the one by the quarry. We were promptly seated and before long a waiter appeared to take our drink orders. When he returned with the drinks he took our food orders. I had asked him what a Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich but his answer was difficult to understand. I decided to try it anyway. Imagine a deep fat fried breaded chicken that has been doused with hot sauce similar to buffalo wings on a bun. I don't think I will be ordering that again. My partner had the crispy fried chicken sandwich which was the same as what I had minus the red hot sauce. She declared it OK but would also not order it again. We were seated in a big room next to the bar separated by a tall wall of wood and glass. The booth we were in was somewhat off by itself with another two booths adjacent and only one occupied social distancing. The alarming thing was as we left we saw 6 men sitting side by side at the bar drinking and talking to each other. So much for social distancing.

Summary: If you bring someone here on business stick to appetizers and drinks. Details: Stonewerks has been a favorite of mine during oyster season, and I may give it another try then. However, I wanted to put this review up to incentivize them and give readers fair warning. I had some people fly into town, and we wanted to talk shop over dinner; I ended up quite embarrassed. Although the calamari and dip appetizers did not disappoint, our entrées planted doubts about the hygiene in the kitchen. My guest FIRST sent her order back because her food had been served on a dirty plate (not a little spot here or there… I saw it, even had old food on the rim of the plate). Mistakes happen and we were ready to move on… when they brought her order in a SECOND time I was expecting them to double check it was all right this time, so you can imagine my frustration when she started to separate some unwashed vegetables on to a separate plate and found an avocado skin (sticker and all) in the middle of her salad. Her borderline disgust for her meal dominated the conversation and I felt I lost an important opportunity to do business. I ordered ribeye, which I know is a fatty cut, but I had never seen one so fatty and salty. I kept my remarks to myself because I didn’t want to pile on to my guest’s distress at the time. The waiter took my guest’s salad off the bill, but I feel that after a second reasonable complaint, for the same dish, from the same guest, that fell a little short. It was close to $200 for disastrous dinner. It was sad to see such good restaurant lose its touch. Photo: fat removed from my ribeye topped with the avocado skin found in my guest’s guacamole.

Horrible service three different waiters came to our table. Didn’t ask for our drinks, forgot our order and the host had to ask for our order again. After an hour and 15 minutes of being seated we recieved our order. And they forgot the appetizer!

Every time I go to San Antonio, this is a must. I usually go to Stoneworks at Blanco Rd but this time we were shopping at the RIM and decided to go. You have to try the chicken wings naked wit hot sauce. Pizzas are really good too.

Advice: don't fall into the trap that because the food costs more it must be good Meal: I had the Chilean sea bass-sadly this tasted like fast food fish slightly better than Long John Silver's Remember that you cannot judge a book by its' cover. This establishment looks great and is in a nice part of town and that's what you are paying for. If the price was lower I would have different expectations but for what I was served I was disappointed.

Started with chips and salsa very good. Wife had the Fish and chips. A little too much batter and on the greasy side. I had the trout, somewhat fishy. The salads were excellent. Will likely return and try a flat bread pizza. Table next to us had two and they looked very good. Service was excellent, and the place is very nice. Total bill with tip and one glass of house wine was $65.00

We had the chic fried steak and salmon the food was really good but the atmosphere was great. We watched the Texans vs 49ers, had a few drinks w/ food and bill was only $55. Sweet!

Visiting San Antonio and decided to eat here because it is near my hotel. I ordered the Baja Shrimp Taco's but got the Blackened Fish Tacos (I think) but you know what, I was not upset AT ALL! They were AMAZING!! Best fish tacos I have ever had! EVER! My husband got the Philadelphia Cheese Steak and he said it was really good. I almost want to go back again so I can try that too. It was fully loaded with meat and had a giant bowl of au juice. The service was really good too. I felt the waitstaff we genuinely friendly and enjoyed being where they worked. I would like to say that I feel like this place is a step ABOVE Applebee's, TGIF, Chilli's etc... as another reviewer said. I highly recommend this place! YUm!!!

classy place. tons of tv's. manager could not have been nicer. asked us what game we wanted on certain tv's and switched it for us. only had light food but food and service both very good.

With 3 locations in San Antonio, you can't complain about accessibility. With a HUGH menu, you can't complain about not finding something to your liking. With excellent recipes, you can't complain about taste. So get there ASAP.

I have eaten at Stonewerks (The RIM and Vineyard Mall locations) many times over the past two years. Although the service has been excellent, I find the food to be highly inconsistent in terms of quality. Additionally, I became ill eating their food (stomach stuff) twice in the past 4 months including just today. Perhaps they are having issues with food prep and safety?

Great casual business vibe. Decor was nice and encouraged a welcoming and open conversation. Good was good - not amazing but decent. I will consider it again if in town and not looking to try anything new.

The oysters are always good. The menu is large with a selection for everyone. Salads to pasta to burgers. Really busy during Happy Hour.

Oysters were great! The drinks were good also. Great atmosphere and place to hang out with friends and family.

Great atmosphere!!! Our waitress was always around ready to take our drink orders and the food was great.

The food was fine. Wait staff was cordial. Although it was not super busy for lunch, I felt it took awhile even though we all had salads. Otherwise, pretty good.

We have been here several times over the years specifically to share happy hour with friends. So we met late afternoon with a couple that had not been here before, hoping to impress. It is fairly easy to find at The Rim on a side street by IHOP. Parking was no issue in the back of the restaurant. They have a large covered outdoor patio, a good size entry area, a large full service bar and then a large dining room partially separated from the bar. This was a less stellar experience than our previous visits. First our waiter did not introduce himself and did not seem to be aware of a Happy Hour. I asked for a HH menu and he told us they didn't have one. I told him they had one before and that online there is one. I asked about the HH drinks and he mentioned the house wine was $5. I asked what it was and he told me Frontera. I asked if that was the only wine on HH and he told me it was. Now I have had Frontera before and I know that you can buy a bottle for less than $6 so why would I want to pay $5 for a 5 oz. glass. So three opted for the regular menu and ordered Silver Gate Cab at $6.75 a glass. One was okay with it but two not so much. One ordered the Sangria Swirl which was suppose to be $5 but was charged as $5.50. The waiter brought the sangria and it was refreshing but not much alcohol. But it took a bit for the wine to arrive and then he came with three chardonnays instead of Cabs. He took them back and then we didn't see him for some time. Then a female waitress came and said something about she would be helping us and we asked again about HH and showed her on the phone and she actually got us a HH menu. Granted it was only one menu for four people but they did have one. She was very cordial and much more efficient than the first waiter. It still took some time to get the wine served though but the place, although not busy when we arrived, was filling up. We ordered the Spinach Artichoke Dip with chips at half off and all enjoyed. Then the food order, from the HH menu consisted of two ordering the large (20 count) Boneless Buffalo Wings one with BBQ sauce and one with Nashville type sauce. The other ordered the Tuscan Flatbread and lastly the That's A Pizza. The food took less time to arrive than the wine did but the wings we couldn't tell the difference of which was which from the looks and sauce. So not sure if the right people got what they ordered. The Flatbread and the Pizza were a good presentation and flavorful. One we asked for the bill, the waitress brought it timely BUT then stood right by me waiting for the payment. I tried to check over the ticket to see if all the HH had been priced correctly but she just kept standing there. Again she was very cordial and I guess that is better than them leaving and taking forever to return but it was uncomfortable trying to check pricing. Once I got home I rechecked the ticket and saw that the pricing was different than online and even on the paper HH menu they gave us. I would still go back as their HH is a good deal with choices but be watchful of the pricing.

The food is terrible. I ordered the Crispy Calimari and it was too salty and very soggy. Stonewerk’s is too loud and overrated, it’s not worth going back.

We had a large crowd (around 20 people) but the wait staff kept up with not only our drinks but our food orders as well. Most everything arrived around the same time, which was an amazing feat. The food good. Appetizers were calamari, artichoke spinach dip and chicken wings. ll were good. Dinner for me was an avocado shrimp salad which was listed as a signature dish. While presentation was pretty, I should have asked for the dressing on the side as I found it to be too much for my taste. The shrimp were a bit overcooked. The Ruben sandwich that my husband had he said was wonderful. It look delicious and had a lot of meat in it. It came with fries on the side. The chicken Alfredo dish was a very large portion and my son said it was very good. It came with three pieces of french bread. The place was large and spacious and a bit noisy for us in the main dining area, but we did have a good time. Very popular place even after 8 p.m. when we arrived. Plenty of parking close by.

We've been in here a few times -- the service leaves a little to be desired. We've had really good experiences, and then we've had some not-so-good ones. But not so bad that we haven't wanted to come back, because the food keeps bringing us back. Haven't had anything bad here, and they have a lot of variety on the menu that is sure to please all members of your party.

Great bar wide selection. Menu has a vast selection. I had the wedge salad (it was in my top 10) and the grilled chicken breast. Beautiful plate but they over cooked the chicken. Great services, that compensated for the chicken. Will be back next time thru.

Ok, big issue with this place, but let me give the good stuff first. James was our server and he was excellent. He was friendly and efficient and got our food out in a timely manner. A+ for James. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and my husband had the club. We agreed the food was very good as was the atmosphere and worth coming back. Oh no! Hold it right there! I have worked in restaurants and have never seen what I just saw. It was a major turn off. First of all, I had seen two of the young lady servers with long hair and it was not tied up in any way. One was sporting a super rat's nest that was really pretty shocking. She had long brown hair with some kind of white highlights/streaks and it looked like she had just rolled out of the back seat of a junker out in the parking lot. Comb that head, lady! If that wasn't bad enough, the other girl did the unthinkable. She ran her fingers through her hair a couple of times on her way to the kitchen, then cupped her SAME hand over someone's salad to straighten the lettuce in the bowl. I think it was a salad, anyway. It doesn't matter! I wanted to follow her to the table and say, "Don't eat that!" Just then, a manager came over and asked us how everything was. Well......I told her most of what I just told you, leaving out the parking lot thing. I said everything was fine until I saw that. Totally unacceptable. Good thing it all happened after we had finished our meal. Two star review could have been four, maybe five. Sloppy waitresses with bad hygiene habits do not score a good one.

We were a large group of about 30. They got all our orders right. From start to finish. Never had to chase them for drink refills. Friendly to the group and I know a large group isn't easy. Everyone was very satisfied and happy with their meals.

I've never been disappointed in the food or the service at Stonewerks. I had their parmesan crusted chicken and it was quite good. The menu has enough choices that everyone can be happy no matter what you are in the mood for. Their servers have the perfect balance of making sure you want for nothing and anticipating your needs yet not being intrusive. Excellent live music on the patio after dinner as well.

The Sunday Brunch's are amazing, such a nice addition to an already good menu. I love Carne Guisada and few places have it, but their dish was just amazing, over hashbrowns, caso, eggs...what a treat, will be back for sure. AND a treat of an amazing singing group there for lunch sang 4 songs, what a fun day.

This has been one of my favorite places over the years but lately it has declined. We made reservations a couple of weeks ago for Mother's Day. When we arrived, I asked for a booth if available. I was told that there were none available. When we were being taken to our 4 seat table, we saw 3 or 4 open 4 place booths and the restaurant was about 2/3 full. I went back to the greeter and asked why we could not have a booth and she told me, 'Because you did not request one on the reservation.' I said that no one asked me at the time of the booking if I had a preference. She just stared at me. It being Mother's Day, I did not make a fuss but noted at least 2 booths remained empty the entire time we were there. My fish and chips were cooked fine on one side but all three pieces were under cooked on the other side, likely due to being dropped in one clump into the fryer and never separated during cooking. Asked for a manager but one never showed and we got tired of waiting and left.

We went with group of friends for HH and all enjoyed themselves. The restaurant is very large with indoor and outdoor seating as well as a large bar with lots of TVs. Our table was set up promptly without a reservation and we were all seated quickly. Our waiter was prompt and kept up with all of our requests and drinks. The happy hour there has a good selection of drinks and eats. There was an extra special on the board at the entrance that the waiter did not know about but he quickly checked it out and some ordered that drink. The starters are meals in themselves and HH offers $3 off several options. The chicken tenders are battered in cornmeal like fish might be so that was different but very good and not greasy at all. Do be sure to check the bill though as most of the bills ad to be adjusted to reflect that discount. Not sure why it did not ring up but all the checks had to be fixed. The atmosphere was lovely with a fire in the fireplace, the noise level was low so we were all able to hear each other around the tables. Some even took food home. There are less expensive HH places but this was is upscale yet comfortable and we like trying different places. This location is a little tricky to find since it is not right off of the access in The Rim and the signage is not prominent. But it is located inthe section to the right side facing Dick's and next to IHop. Consensus from all was to keep on list for a return visit!

First impression was poor. The hostess looked about 16 and had no personality. She was also wearing a basic tee shirt and jeans. Not very professional. Servers seemed rude and unenthusiastic about working on a Friday night. Okay food. Pricey. Received the wrong drink and it wasn't even comped after waiting a long time to get another. Nothing really good to say. There are a lot of places in San Antonio, especially at the Rim or La Cantera that try a lot harder to give better service.

Stone Werks Big Rock Grille San Antonio Nutshell Review: Overall (7). Calamari (9) was a large portion and was excellent. Crawfish Stuffed Mushrooms (6) were good, but tasted bland... Will skip next time. Pizza (6.5) was not bad. Had that good wooden oven taste, but crust not crispy. Burger (7) was good, but not great. Fries (7.5) were good. Chips (7) crispy, but little taste for seasoning. Roasted Chicken Panini (7.5) was decent. Drinks (8) were above par. Sample Pricing: White Russian mixed drink will run just under $8. Atmosphere (9) was open and warm. I believe we may try it again if in the area. Especially, if in the mood for Calamari. Big Henry #BigHenrysReviews

My wife and I waited 45 minutes for a burger and pulled pork tacos today. We finally left, unfed. That is totally unacceptable. It was Sunday at lunch, but still......Managment needs to take a long look at how the kitchen werks.

Very unhappy . I ordered what I thought was a healthy meal ... Baked chicken, veggies , mashed sweet potatoe and a salad... Very low carb... I checked blood sugars before meal and two hours after meal.. My sugars were extremely high...The only thing I can say is that sweet potatoe was loaded with sugar..,my husband ordered the pizza TERRIBLE...😡 Chicken was dry and veggies were over done.. We use to go there often.. We will never go back...In the past month we have had two bad experiences... Not quality service for the high priced menu..

I have eaten Stonewerks many times and each time I leave satisfied. The menu is broad enough to satisfy most appetites, and the bar area is large. On our most recent visit, the service was exceptional. You won't be disappointed.

A friend and I came for happy hour. She suggested the turkey burger and the deviled eggs. Both were very good. The happy hour pricing on the wine was good, too. This place gets very crowded and noisy, but the food and service are consistently good.

While staying at the SpringHill Suites at The Rim, Stonewerks was close by for a quick dinner after a long trip to San Antonio. I have eaten at various Stonewerks and was hoping for something better at The Rim. Personally, I like my food hot and whenever I order an entrée, it is lukewarm at best. In all fairness, the entrées are very ample and the servers are always attentive and never intrusive. Perhaps my opinion is jaded because I do not eat any meat or any fried foods.

A group no friends met here for Happy Hour as it had been years since we had met at this location and remember it as being a good choice for HH. We arrived late afternoon, HH is 3 PM to 6 PM, and were greeted immediately. There was plenty of seating available and the hostess put a table together in the main dining room for our group quickly. There is also seating in the bar area as well as a covered outdoor patio. Our waiter came timely to take drink orders. The HH menu pricing changed, not as economical, since last time we were there. Now they offer $5 of select appetizers (priced $12 to $16), $5 off 12" pizzas/flatbreads and discounts on beer, well drinks and house wine (Cab and Chardonnay). The waiter was very patient and attentive initially as we all arrived separately. Our food came out timely and drinks were refilled timely as well. Most ordered a 12" pizza of different varieties, one ordered chicken fajitas and fried pickles. ALL OF THE FOOD was DELICIOUS and a good portion. A time was enjoyed by all and the place filled up quickly. Unfortunately, once we were towards the end of our meal, we never saw our waiter again. We waited and waited for him to return with our tickets so we could leave. After about 30+ minutes we kept looking for him but could not find him. Finally after at least 45 minutes, we "hailed" him as he was walking by and asked for our bills. He separated them correctly but of course did not mention that at 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill and since we were all talking and wanting to get out none of us noticed. So he got an additional 20% tip on top no the bill and the other tip. So he was WELL compensated even though we had to wait WAY TO LONG for our tickets. The place is very clean and the noise level not too bad for the size of the place, amount of people and the venue. We would return again.

Love the location and ambiance but the food is just ok. I think you can get better food cheaper, but if you want to just have drinks this would be a nice place.

My group the Assistance League of San Antonio held their May Officer Installation ceremony in their lovely group room. Our main server was Sammy, he made the evening special by making sure 35 seasoned ladies were well taken care of, he was outstanding. A young lady assisted him but Sammy was the one who made the evening special. Dave Ince the restaurant manager came in several times to make sure we were being taken care of. I was impressed that when we were served our dinner, all the meals came out at the same time. Three people served us. We were served from a menu of three selections, they were all very tasty and the portions size quite large. The price of the dinner was reasonable. I highly recommend utilizing this restaurant for group meetings or even a small wedding reception. Thank you Sammy and Dave, job well done.

Went here with our 2 adult children for a special celebration. It's a nice casual dining experience with a decent selection of beer and margaritas. The menu is not huge but has a little bit of everything. The burgers looked fantastic, while my son and I opted for a calzone--best I've had in a while, with a delicate crust, filled with lots of sausage and stuff, and the marinara sauce was quite good. I took half of mine home. The service was very good--the waiter was efficient, friendly and funny. Looked like he enjoyed his job and made us enjoy it too. We'll definitely be back--gotta try one of those burgers!

We waited 20 minutes after we was sit down and no one ever came to take our order. No one ever noticed we was outside. My husband loves the food here but bad service so we won’t be back.

This trendy restaurant has a good selection of food; steaks, chicken, burgers, pastas, soup & salads. Everything I have had there has been tasty. The atmosphere is a bit noisy and they have numerous TV's for sports watching. They have a large bar and an outdoor patio for dining as well. If you are hungry and don't mind the busy atmosphere, it's a good stop for food, apps & beer, cocktails or even coffee and dessert.

I went with friends on a Friday night and hung out back on the patio. The band that played was absolutely awesome. The drinks kept coming regularly even though the place was packed. Great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for chilling out and listening to some great music.

We visited Stonewerks late afternoon / early evening on a Saturday, and sat at the patio bar. The overall experience was fine, we had drinks and appetizers and listened to the live band which was very good. Our bill was around $50, which is about right for San Antonio. I paid with my debit card and left the bartender a $10 bill for a tip. The next week I was balancing my checkbook on the internet and I noticed that my account had been charged exactly $5 more than the actual bill. I was able to find my receipt and confirm the discrepancy. I called Stonewerks and spoke to a man I assume is the day manager. He was very helpful and willing to look into the matter. He located the restaurants copy of my bill and agreed that $5 had been mistakenly added. I had written "cash" in the area where a tip may be given as part of the bill, and explained to the manager that we had left $10 (20%) for the bartender that had waited on us. He immediately refunded the $5 overcharge, and apologized for the problem. I was satisfied with the way he handled my complaint, and am willing to give the bartender the benefit of the doubt, but I would recommend that anyone patronizing Stonwerks give their bill the once-over just in case.

They have something for everyone in here. We frequent the one at The Rim. Service is always great and we are never disappointed with the food. We will continue to visit this place and highly recommend.

Bug restaurant with good food, great staff and reasonable price. Will come back again, we want to try other food as they have a broad selectian and the choice is appealing to us

Came in on a very busy Friday night. We signed in and were told it would be a 20 minute wait for the first available table. ( bar, inside, or outside) We did not mind at all since this was a last minute decision to come here. We sat down in the bar area and then the hostess came and informed us that a table had just opened outside, if we would like to be outside. We chose not to sit outside and stay in the bar. It was about 10 minutes later that we asked a waiter, that was passing by, who would be our server. It was him, Daniel. So, we ordered our drinks and 3 appetizers with a side caesar salad and an order of Turkey Chile. Our drinks, stone werks sangria and a cucumber crisp martini, came out pretty quickly. Both were on point. The calamari, prime rib egg rolls, and the deviled eggs were brought out first. The calamari was decent and the deviled eggs were tasty, with the carmelized onions and bacon. The egg rolls were the star of the night. So crispy on the outside yet tender prime rib on the inside. They came with a sweet Chile sauce, mildly spiced. Then our caesar salad and the Turkey chili cup were served. The Turkey chile cup did not have a good taste. It was a bit bland and when Daniel came around we told him that it actually tasted like a canned chile product. I ate the 1 spoon of it and left the rest. I did express both of our dissatisfaction with the dish. Daniel asked if we would like something else, I was not about to wait any longer so I declined. My guest and I bet each other on if the chile would be removed from my bill, I lost. It was not and I did not ask for it to be. Oh well besides that, service was great!

My husband and I frequent this place because, although it's a chain, it's very consistent. The Rim is their second location her in SA and it is just as good as the one in Lincoln Heights. There's always a great menu selection and the waitstaff really go out of their way to ensure a good experience. The portions are large enough to share -- which is great if you want to try an appetizer, they are all delicious but do try the Kobe meatballs they are like a meal in itself!

Pretty place but food not so good. Brussels Sprouts with maple syrup way too Sweet. Crust on country steak very salty. Had to Dig it off to eat the meat. Stir-fried veggies gummy. Desserts are not house-made.

We had a 7:30 reservation for part of 8 got us to our seats perfect timing, than things start to fall apart , got us our water ok , the bottle of wine made it to the table but no glasses or opener so we just looked at a good looong bit , ok finally they take our order , oh you need your wine opened and poured. Ordered 2 dozen oysters to start the meal , ... long time coming Then show up no little plates no little forks had to ask for lemon and crackers, ok get that taken care off , they bring 3 of the party's their meals we wait good bit 3 more arrive 2 more waiting others start eating 2 still waiting watching others eat They come by table the other 2 be here soon , so wait more ... ...... ok here they come , one was s salad , with no dressing , so a lot more wait time , first time here , so my question is this how they choose to sever a party bigger than 2 , just a couple st s time not everyone about the same time , think I will take my family else where

Visited this place with family and friends on a Sat evening. Ambiance was great and had a knowledgeable waiter. Took them awhile for them to bring our entrees and when they did, as we were eating we observed a water bug or cochroach on the back of the seat of the booth we were seating at. We advised the waiter, he had someone from the kitchen kill it, swipe it with a table cloth and take it to the back. Needless to say, that killed the mood for us to continue to eat. The area mgr was not available, but the kitchen mgr was and not once did he apologize. I finally got a call a few days later from the area mgr with an apology. Good luck if you come here! Simply gross.

2:00 p.m. on a Tuesday and my husband wants a juicy hamburger while I want something healthier. He got his burger prepared perfectly and I had the Salmon stuffed with Crawfish in a champagne sauce. The salmon was flaky and the Crawfish had a mild spice. The sauce was delicious and perfectly balanced the dish. The roasted Yukon potato wedges and sautéed julienned vet's were great accompaniments! Had a glass of A-Z unoaked Chardonnay with the meal, which paired quite well. Background music was good and enjoyed our waiter. We will come back again.

I had dinner with a business colleague here - we were looking for a casual place, something a little different, but with variety. Stonewerks was recommended by a local. We had a good time, though it felt like the restaurant was not well managed, or perhaps skimped a little on training. Our waiter was enthusiastic and pleasant, truly wanting us to enjoy our meal - didn't have the more experienced touches, such as quick refills of drinks and quiet attentiveness. The tables were pleasant but the benches were not quite clean (looked like a fast cleanup but not a thorough one between guests). The menu had variety, but the wait staff didn't know which dishes had run out. Etc. Still, the food was good and it was easy to get a reasonable table. I had a seafood/crawfish combination that was extremely tasty, and worth the wait. It might have been priced a bit high for the region, but not more than a dollar or two in comparison to other places I ate during my stay.

Started off with gulf oysters and drinks. My wife and son had some tasty draft beers. I began with an $11.00 martini that was okay, but the glass wasn't chilled. I had a perfectly cooked steak. Our son had stuffed salmon and said it was the best seafood he ever had. My wife enjoyed the tilapia. Menu was kind of hard to read in the dark.

Love this restaurant. The guacamole is excellent. My only complaint is that they tack on an $0.80 charge for an 8cent jalapeño if you want them added. I eat gluten free and it's not a problem. I get a burger without the bun or the pulled pork tacos. Excellent!

Meeting a couple to eat here in been there before we were the only ones although it was five we had an appetizer which were great though guacamole and the spinach dip I had the steak tacos which were unimpressive not enough meat wife had the chicken panini which was good but didn't say that they charged extra for the sweet potato fries. Supposed to be happy hour but the drinks were still $7

We stopped in for lunch. Deb had a glass of the Kim Crawford NZ Sauv Blanc and me the BVB Mama Tried IPA. They do have an interesting wine list and an excellent selection of draft beers. We both went for the Fish and Chips (I am English after all 😉) which were very good. Good sized portions of fish, nicely battered and the fries perfectly cooked. Our server, Ryan, was helpful and attentive. All in all a very enjoyable lunch.

Very varied menu choices, -burgers, pizzas, fish, chicken, steak--all within $20 per head. Good location on the Northside of town at Hwy. 1604 and Blanco road. Polite staff, clean atmoshere.

This place is nice! It was our first time staying at The Rim, and it was great. We went on a Friday night and the place was packed. We had a party of 10, so they said 1 hour wait, or we could sit down outside at the patio. We put some tables together, had some appetizers, and then went inside after an hour or so. The menu was amazing, a big selection. They had burgers, seafood, steaks, and pasta. The oysters were pretty good, and the oysters Rockefeller were some of the best I have ever had. I had a NY strip steak, and it was cooked to perfection. I was able to cut it with my butter knife. The drinks were good. I was drinking Crown Reserve w/water and I could tell that's what I was served. The bar tender made sure the drinks had alcohol, so it was a good night. We had cheesecake and chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream w/pecans. The chocolate desert was awesome. It was so good, we went back the next night after an event and it was still so good. Dibs to the manager and his staff. Very courteous, knowledgeable of their menu selection, and fast. We will definitely be going back in the near future or whenever we are in San Antonio.

The decor was really nice—a big roaring fireplace to sit at while we had our cocktails and looked over the menus. The food was pretty good, too. We ordered the fajita chicken nachos and they were delicious! My sister ordered a pizza and she said it was just “so so”. The ladies restroom was a mess. I told someone about it and they only cleaned up the sink area, not the stalls where there was toilet paper everywhere.

We loved our dinner at Stonewerks. We had a great server that kept our drinks full too. We had the pork chops with peach reduction and bacon wrapped shrimp. 👍👍 for dessert we shared a piece of carrot cake which was more than enough. Yummy!!

Nice place with good food. Restaurant is modern with clean restrooms. Booths were very comfortable. I Had the oysters rockefellar and it was delicious!

We realized very quickly that this was the wrong place to bring a 2 year old, as the demographic is predominantly 20- & 30-somethings, with multiple TVs around, and it was LOUD. This is more of a sports bar. The food was okay, but not stellar, as I had heard that it was really good. My waiter sold me (I tend to ask for their suggestions) on getting the prime rib, and that was a bad mistake. I asked for medium-well, and it was so bloody that I had to really bare down with the steak knife to cut the steak. C couple of times I knocked things off of the table due to having to work so hard to cut the meat. That being said, I will give this place another try, as I don't think it's fair to write a place off unless it's terrible (i.e. my last hotel review on here). Next time I will go with my gut (no pun intended) instinct when ordering.

Why would a restaurant with a full bar not have sweet vermouth? Was looking forward to a manhattan but had to settle for wine. Otherwise we like the place.

I recently hosted a pre-conference dinner for my organization here. While there were some glitches with my seating area, the manager on hand was very accommodating. The food wait however was long! Grant it, we had a large group but in my opinion it was way too long. However there is nothing better than having good food come to you after a long wait. I highly recommend the filet mignon flatbread. The caprese salad was so-so (tomato slices cut way too thick), but that flatbread had very tasty and lively flavors! All in all good place to check out in SA.

The menu has a great variety so you can please everyone at the table. I got the cheesesteak with cream cheese which I have never had but is a new favorite! Great bar selection too!

Big, pleasant atmosphere. Clean. My wife and I went to this restaurant at 1:00 p.m. this last Father's Day. Thank goodness we had reservations -- we were immediately escorted to our table although there were probably 10 to 14 people who had arrived prior to us who continued to wait. Our only complaint about this restaurant is our waitress. She was efficient, but just barely. Long periods of time passed that we didn't see her, and once the server delivered our food to the table, that was it for at least 35 minutes. The food was excellent. The noise level was a bit on the loud side but not painfully so. Both of us liked the restaurant and we both enjoyed the food. A VERY pleasant surprise came at the end when we reviewed our check just prior to paying: My meal had been "comped"; apparently because of Father's Day. We enjoyed the restaurant and enjoyed the food. We'll return soon, and hope the service improves!

Lost everything there yesterday! Manager came out when police was there but said absolutely nothing!!!!!

Had out daughter birthday party here. everything was really nice. Our server was tight on point with everything. The drinks were absolutely delicious. We ordered some appetizers deviled eggs and wings. They serve different types of wings and we ordered three different kinds. All of the wings came out fabulous. The deviled eggs were on point. I would certainly go back again my family really loved the food and there were no complaints about anything.

I LOVE the atmosphere at this location, and the service is always friendly and efficient. I can't even count how many times I've been to this location since it's my favorite place for small and large gatherings for lunch, happy hour and dinner. They have a great menu with delicious options and a great bar too. Highly recommend it!

We have been to just about all of the restaurants at The Rim and Stone Werks is consistently the best at serving well prepared fresh food. The ambiance and the noise level are also nicer than other locations in the immediate area. Always a great meal and a nice visit!!

Excellent meal! I had the chicken chef salad and it was wonderful! The whole family enjoyed dining there!

We've always loved Stonewerks and in the past 20 years have had some wonderful meals and great family times at both the Rim and Vineyard locations but our past three experiences at the Rim have been terrible - due to service not food. The cooks are talented and consistent. Today, Sunday at 1:00 pm the restaurant and the patio were empty but we were required to sit and wait for 15 minutes! After 10 minutes we left. It was obvious the wait staff did not show. We believe this restaurant is poorly managed and the owners deserve the right to know. It's unfortunate because we always loved it and really enjoyed Sunday afternoons on the patio enjoying delicious food and wine. Please let us know if there is a management change. Until then we won't return.

Went with some friends on a Saturday night and arrived around 9:00 pm to find plenty of seating available. When 11:00 came around the place suddenly exploded with people yet the atmosphere remained pleasant and sociable. The live band was very good and played a wide variety of music. Outdoor seating was plentiful. The food was also good and reasonably priced. Overall service was very good. I would recommend this place for a first date if you are looking for somewhere fun yet not so loud that you can't talk to your date without screaming.

This restaurant was in the right place, really near our hotel, thank goodness, it was very large and accomodating, we were worried about dropping in on a friday night. but plenty of space for all. we had the best oysters rockefeller dish, and the waitress Rebecca could not have been more helpful in ordering drinks. She suggested a special Topo Chico, lime & Tajin drink that is now my favorite summer go to. Thanks! All the food we ordered was great.

Upon arrival we were told there would be about a 30 minute wait, we decided to have a few drinks at the patio for some live music- band was fantastic! We enjoyed our beers and within 15 minutes we were seated inside. Our server was friendly and very courteous to our 5 year old, offering to bring her food out first. Our appetizers & entrees were flavorful and portions are quite generous. Food is priced fairly and we enjoyed our dinner.

Great service, great food, great drinks and good value for money. What more could you ask for? Maybe an outside area that provides open air seating, smoking, full food and beverage service and a live band on weekends! Don't miss the everyday oyster wonderland and seafood specials that are on offer everyday. Christmas special is gift cards for $100 in addition to a $20 add on bonus, eat every 5rh meal for free!!! So what's left to say, see you there real soon

Took the family to eat after spending the day at Fiesta Texas. Kids drinks and appetizer arrived before the wine and beer (took a loooong time). Forgot one of the kids hamburgers and we decided to start eating as the waitress assured us it would just take a few minutes. Not sure what concept of time was being assumed but everyone finished their meal by the time my daughters hamburger finally arrived. Despite the service, food was good.

Big, beautiful, bar room at the entrance and posh adjacent dining room. This place is dark, cool and cavernous (don't forget that little pocket flashlight to read the menu with). Happy hour is 3 - 6 and the drinks do contain a good shot of alcohol. Try the flock-n-ade for a sweet and sour frozen refresher. Many of the appetizers are $3.00 off during happy hour such as the peel and eat shrimp, ice cold U-20 or better and delicious, and fried mushroom with cream gravy and/or ranch dressing; just as good as Mama's or Willie's makes if not better. We also had a full dozen oysters which, like the oysters, were served ice cold and briny fresh. Only wish these quarter sized bivalves had been a little bigger. The artichoke dip is also a good bet with nice hunks of the veggie in a piquant sauce with toasted pita wedges for dipping. Wait service was capable but the absentia rate (not there when you want something) could use improvement. The manager also introduced himself which was a nice touch. No wait staff roller skating down the isle (like TGI Fridays used to have in their day). The happy hour here is more sedate with a good crowd of business types from the surrounding area. I didn't say it was quiet though with plenty of lively conversation going on at a volume to compete with the usually loud, very good, baby boomer tunes (sorry Gen-X and others . . . your time will come in a couple decades).

I have eaten at the Stonewerks at the Quarry and on Blanco, so when my cousin came to town we decided to eat at the Rim and shop. I was disappointed. The food took too long to be prepared even though the restaurant was nearly empty. We got the Chopped salad and realized there was no bacon and salad was limp and bland. Service was nice. I don't know I was not impressed so I won't be going back to that particular Stonewerks

We just dined here tonight. It was me, my husband and his parents. We found the place by driving by. First, we showed up around 5:45 on a Friday night. It was very hot in the restaurant. They told us 15 minutes for a table so we waited. Husband and his father went out the patio bar to order beers. My husband comes back with a tall glass only about 2/3 full. The keg was empty and he got the last of it, since he didn't get a full glass they didn't charge which was nice. A few minutes later we were seated. It was still very hot at our table and we mentioned it to the waitress who said she would tell the manager. A few minutes later they must have turned on the air because it got much more comfortable and fast! Not sure why it was not on in the first place. It was also very loud. They had the music way to high. It made it had to understand the waitress and hard for her to hear us. They have a decent sized menu here. We ordered calamari as an app, it was ok, more chewy than I am used to, even for calamari. The sauce was very good though. I had a flat bread. Very large, I only ate 1/3. It was incredible! I was surprised at how good it was. Husband had pork tacos which he said were wonderful. The plate had 3 but they were large and he only ate two. His also came with beans that he said were very good as well. Both my in-laws had fish with rice and veggies and they said everything was good. Overall I liked the place and would go back if we were in the area.

Sandwiches, salads, and soups arec great. Dinner items are so, so. Desserts great. Great bar. Nice to get away from franchised restauranhts. Tortilla soup is excellent.

Went in for a quick lunch & as we were trying to figure what we wanted from the menu one of their employees recommended the crab cake & it was the best...the food & especially the service was outstanding

We visited on Friday night, and chose to sit on the patio. The sirloin steak was done right, and my guests had great salads. They offered good bar and wine selections and the atmosphere was friendly, casual and energetic. The service was attentive and cordial. After dinner the band lit up and it got a bit more loud and social around the exterior bar. I've also eaten at this restaurant during lunch for business meetings, and the food, service and ambiance is very good.

When they first opened we would visit often. Our boys loved to watch sports with dad on the big screen. The food was amazing. Quickly, however, it became a gathering place (even mid-week) for singles to hang out and drink. The skirts some gals wear are higher than our children and grandchildren's eye levels. We had to stop going, sadly.

Stonewkerks is a very good restaurant located in the Rim. The tortilla soup is quite good as are all their sandwiches. They also offer a good range of seafood. The oysters on the half shell are shucked fresh on site. there are some good lunch soup-and-sandwich specials as well.

Upscale sports bar/restaurant with televisions, bar, pizza and burgers or more traditional dining. We sat in second room which quieter and good for conversation. They have booths and low tables in this area. Large portions of food at reasonable price. For party of 4 with two appetizers it was $130. We took Highway 10 Exit need middle or right lane (not turning lane) La Canterra exit/Six Flags instead of turning left go straight. Go to third street to right You will stop at stop sign. Continue going straight. Restaurant this side of Life Sporting Center.

We ate on the patio right after happy hour so the crowd was thinning. The food was good and location is convenient for us. Music started at 8 or so and we finished up quickly. He was loud and each song sounded the same.

We went for Happy Hour. Scanned their menu on their table into phone. Waitress came and I asked for the calamari. She said that was no longer on HH Menu. I said yes it is. It is right there on your menu. Manager came. Manager refused to honor their own menu. We immediately got up and left. We used to be a frequent customer. Although over time the quality has diminished. I will not go back. It is a shame that over an approx one-time $6 discount, they lost customers permanently. To have a false and deceptive menu is wrong!

Have a great Saturday evening dinner with friends great atmosphere had a chance to watch the UT football game service was excellent I had the chicken-fried steak which was you can cut with a spoon friends had the peel shrimp Wife had the crusted haddock also had fried mushrooms for appetizers and the bean and cheese nachos all the food for outstanding at a good price definitely be back

I never knew it was here until my friend invited me to her birthday dinner. I went on a Sunday. Service was very fast. Food and drinks came quickly. The ambiance is amazing, huge bar and huge dining area. My only complaint was the waiter. He wasn't a good listener when we placed our orders, and he had brought out another plate that wasn't what my friends had intended. But other than that, I really enjoyed this place.

6/27/2015 While out shopping at the Rim we decided to try this place for lunch. It is located in the shopping near the Off Saks and Nordstrom's Rack. We decided to sit and eat on the patio. At first my daughter told the young man we need another menu but he NEVER followed up. Shay our server was very accomodating and made suggestions. There is a large variety of items and Vegetarian options. I did visit the bathroom and they were nice and CLEAN. Our orders were as follows: Iced-Tea...$2.75 Strawberry Lemondae....$2.75 Potato soup and Cesar Salad (Soup and Salad combo)...$9.25 Texas Style Ceviche...$9.25 Grown Up Grilled cheese with fries...$7.25 Flatbread(The Rustic)....$16.25 We all thought everthing was very good and my daughter and husband had leftovers.

It is amazing that since we have been here, that dozen s of employees have f walked past two tables that need to be cleared, drawing flies. They just look at them and then just walked by. We are always pleased with the ambiance and food & Drink selection. The servers are cordial and efficient. Sometimes the outside area seems to be forgotten. But Chris was pleasant and was trying to please.., maybe just spread too thin. We were ready to order more food and needed silverware, but I eventually Wendy to the bar to get it myself.

Large menu, great atmosphere. Our waiter was a little distracted and forgot to refill drinks for a long time. But had a great time anyway.

Seafood was fresh, service was excellent and all dishes were consistently good! Atmosphere is also very nice and they have a great outdoor area to sit.

This restaurant is large and comfortable. It had a very cool and elegant vibe. The staff is always professional and courteous and the management makes us feel like family. The menu is varied but not over loaded, everything is good. However, the chicken wings are a hidden gem. They are ALWAYS large and meaty and if you choose to get them breaded, they are as good as any fried chicken around. I have gotten them with no wing sauce because they are that good. This place is close to my house and is one of our go to places.

The food is always reasonable here but there have been service issues the last few times that I have been here. The place is convenient for me and used to be a regular stop when I traveled to SA. The manager always wants to adjust the bill for the service problems but that obviously is not the answer here......Management needs to change the MO of this place......

We had a full order to go. It was placed at 6:15 and said to be ready at 6:40. At 6:40 nothing was ready and that was the best thing that happened. First when I paid, I noted that we didn’t order cheese curds, but we had ordered a Cesar Salad with chicken and tomatoes. While I waited I for the salad, I checked on our other orders. The kid’s burger we’d ordered was wrong and had to be re-fired. I left after 7. No apology. We will not return.
Terrible Food - Poor service
Burger, which was one of their "signature" dishes was served cold. On sending back to the kitchen, the second version came hot, but extremely overcooked and "bone dry". Waiter had an "attitude" issuing us a check before my guests ( 2 children) had ordered their desserts. Place to avoid
