The food is awesome. I recommend the ribs, my husband had the bone in steak he said it was awesome. The server Samantha was awesome. She was personable. I love the ambiance. I will be going back. They offer a bar and also have several wines. They have two televisions at the bar. But it is more of a low light romantic feel great for couples and big groups. The bread is great that they bring to the table. The prices are not too bad they are not too expensive the price I expect to pay for a good meal at a steakhouse.

Great steak house. I had prime rib and it was cooked to perfections. I had the mac and cheese and it was great. Great menu and steak options. I definitely recommend.

If you want great food in a very nice atmosphere and have wonderful service, you must eat here. I use it for business dinners, our date nights, anytime friends visit us it is the go to. Drinks are well made, deserts are to die for and the main courses never disappoint.

Choose a stake. You will not be disappointed. I had a soup, a shrimp appetizer, a ribeye and a creme brulee. I enjoyed the stack very much but the rest were jus ok. It eat at stoney river for years, this specific location was not that great, and for sure not intimate and quite.

I visit this place every time I’m in the area. They have a perfect fillet that has coffee, molasses and brown sugar seasoning that one must try.

I am a HUGE fan of the J. Alexanders restaurants and will tell you all day...that they serve my favorite steak of all time. (NY Strip) Had the chance to enjoy lunch with a colleague and enjoy Stoney River (in the J. Alexander Brand Family) for the first time...and it did NOT disappoint. Even for lunch the atmosphere was cool, laidback and energetic. We enjoyed the impeccable service, as well as the Deviled Eggs, Crab Cakes, Mushroom Swiss Burger and the Veggie Burger. Every bite of every dish...was amazing. The crab cakes were sweet and full of crab...not filler. And, everything else was a keeper as well. Definitely heading back here soon! I have a new favorite spot...

I considered a "poor" rating but stopped because I think this may have just been an off night. In quick summary, the food wasn't very good. I'll expand. The restaurant was busy and at capacity. Service was prompt, efficient, pleasant, and I was pleased that our server was knowledgeable about the menus. The one thing the server was not was observant. Most of the meals of the four people in our party had half or more than half of the food still on the plate when the clearing began. The reason? The food wasn't very good. I had a filet. It wasn't very good. It was a poorly cut, poorly prepared cut of beef. At no time should a filet be "stringy." It was underseasoned and dare I say, tough in parts. I considered sending it back but did not due to the fact that we were there for a social occasion, and could not afford the delay. I of course understand that as diners, we have somewhat of an obligation to let staff know when the food is just plain wrong. So, you would be correct if you said, "But you didn't give them a chance to make it right." More on that later. Another in our party had a strip steak. Barely touched, the lump of beef was tough in parts and poorly seasoned. The ribeye appeared to have more fat than actual meat. The fourth in our party ate three bites of his steak and then left it, periodically picking at some mac and cheese that was very good. The tango between server and table sometimes features a service partner who might take notice of the untouched food and politely inquire whether everything is alright. That didn't happen here. It's ok, but I was a little disappointed that the end of our meal felt rushed from clearing to a bare offer of dessert to the check, all in the span of about a minute. All of a sudden it felt as if we were overstaying our welcome. On the way out, I spoke briefly to a host. I stated, quietly and privately that I was disappointed with the meal and that something seemed "off." The reply was "I'm sorry. Try us again sometime." And so we left the restaurant, all a bit disappointed, and most assuredly uninspired to try again sometime. Maybe it was an off night. I'm open to that possibility. Too many folks enjoy their meals at this location for it to has been as bad as it was for us. It gets an average rating instead of poor. The sides were nice. Mostly the service was better than average. But it was a disappointing night that was supposed to be a celebratory night.

Late dinner of a party of 5 on a Monday night. No wait and the waitress has several recommendations for our party. Three of us ordered the coffee cured filet. Two medium rare one medium (which we had to convince him). All steaks were cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy and a large cut which comes with one side. I do not like sweets so my only complaint is that next time (which I will come back) I would not get the coffee cured but the regular filet. I hate to ruin a good steak with putting something on it to make it better but I do have to say I ate the whole coffee cured filet. All my coworkers who come to this area highly recommend the coffee cured filet too. I had the loaded baked potato and others ordered the sweet mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. All said sides were great. Another person ordered the meatloaf but I can’t comment on that. Only small negative comment was the waitress was a little slow to see to our table.

Food was great as usual. I think theirs is the best prime rib I’ve had in Atlanta. Cooked just right, served hot. Melt in your mouth delicious. The service was not as good as the food. It was fair not great and that was disappointing.

I have been here 3 times. The first time on a Tuesday night which was slow and the meal was good. The last two times the restaurant was busy and they simply could not handle it. One night it took 30 minutes to just get a check... the bartender actually got salty when I asked for it twice. At $75 per person on average (including tip & one drink)... I don’t need the extra course of attitude. Entrees Sea Bass - ordered well done, but it came out raw, salty, and rubbery. Absolutely over-soaked in sauce. Salmon - also not cooked as ordered. Mash potatoes had turned to solidified chunks and broccoli was cold. Trout - as ordered but flavorless and mushy. Most likely started the night frozen. Apps French onion soup - salty Ahi Tuna Stack - best thing on the menu. It was very good Wedge Salad - standard chop house faire. If you see the bartender, please tell her to cancel my second drink that she never brought.

Good place to celebrate your birthday. Everything is delicious. We went there for the first time on my 70th birthday. The service is warm and friendly. The food is delicious. We will return ~

The stakes are great, the sides good, specially the mushrooms. If you do not have reservation could wait up to 45 minutes Service is slow so be patient

We loved the steaks, salmon, and salads. They had rich flavors that showcased the ingredients without overpowering the natural flavors. Additionally, the staff was attentive without being overbearing or intrusive.

A very nice place with indoor and outdoor seating. Nice menu great food. The crab cake is a ‘must’, super awesome! Even the Hong Kong style fish was great with spinach and mas potatoes on the side. Reasonable good wine menu, French would certainly ask for more :-) great staff.... smiling and willing to serve.... overall a good experience!

I had a small wedding ceremony (9/4/2018 around 2:30) and decided to have lunch at this location with my new husband and some of my wedding guests. When I first arrived the hostess at the almost empty restaurant greeted us and asked how many people in the party I told him I was unsure but he seated the three of us who were already there. After he seated us four of my family members arrived I asked if he could push the tables together he got really rude and said no. After another waitress saw us trying to move closer so nicely told us she could move the tables and the followed that with amazing a prompt service (i wish I could remember her name). While we were eating the manager came and apologized for the hostess behavior since he did not understand why seating us together would be an issue since the restaurant was almost empty. I ordered the steak and so did my husband both were overcooked but we still thought they tasted good. The portions are huge!!! the atmosphere is beautiful and the prices are affordable.I would visit again but if that same hostess is there I would just turn around and leave.

My wife and I ate at this restaurant two weeks ago after a travel day back to ATL. We were tired and wanted simple choices for a good meal and this place was just what we needed. The service was good, the beef and wine were tasty. Plus, the ambiance reminded us that it was a steak house. Well appointed but a little dark with a big bar area, it reminded us of older places in Chicago or New York.

To start off, We had appetizers. The whiskey shrimp was to die for! Followed by a delicious steak cooked to perfection. I had asparagus with mine. Husband had Gouda max and cheese. We brought dessert home with us. Which was also great. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere was perfect. It was a bit pricey, $210.00 but we fully expected it. And it was worth it. We will go back.

I was out of town for business and wanted something I had not had before! This place gives Fleming's stiff competition in my opinion! The Petite Filet with the blue cheese encrusting and air gratin potatoes were amazing! I had a sweet tooth and my server recommended the carrot cake...let's just say...I could have fed 6 people with my piece of cake!

If you're ordering steak, then you'll be very pleased. The side orders of mashed potatoes, broccoli, and au-gratin potatoes are excellent. HOWEVER, I would not recommend the Ahi Tuna. The tuna is okay but not very well prepared and made worse by a sweet jelly sauce. The accompanying rice and wilted spinach are average at best. Avoid the lobster bisque, very bland and watery. BUT the fried steak n cheese wontons are incredible. The biggest disappointment was the service. Despite a sparsely filled restaurant, our waitress was not engaged. When ordering appetizers, as soon as she heard one member of our party ordered, she immediately turned around and walked away, leaving everyone else wanting to order. Both our table and surrounding tables had to ask for salt and peppercorn grinders. Another critique...despite a sparsely filled restaurant, the hostess seated EVERYONE in back to back table booths which was very annoying.

We enjoyed a back-to-school splurge lunch today. We all had burgers. Two of us enjoyed the Steak Burger and my wife enjoyed the cheeseburger. Our server, Monica, was excellent! We tried one of the shrimp appetizers. It was excellent, but pricey at $4/shrimp. The burgers and fries were cooked to perfection. Meal was excellent and we'll be back again to splurge.

Highly recommend! Filet medallions, asparagus, garlic mash potatoes, and kale salad were DELICIOUS, excellently prepared and presented. Warm atmosphere, relaxing music in the background... servers are very attentive and genuine.

My wife and I dined at Stoney River to celebrate Valentines Day a bit early. We were seated in the main dining room and asked to be moved to the back room area because it was a bit quieter. That was done without hesitation and our order for drinks and salads taken promptly. We shared a wedge salad and it was ample for two and delicious with a large topping of blue cheese dressing. We washed it down with a glass each of sparkling wine. Our dinner consisted (naturally) of beef, potatoes, and a nice red wine. My wife had the 10 oz filet and I had the 12 oz Legendary Filet. Both were well prepared to our liking and delicious. My wife did indicate that in the future she would be ordering the Legendary Filet as it seemed to be a bit more tender and juicy than the 10 oz. Not a complaint, just an observation. We both had the Au Gratin potatoes on the side and they were cheesy and delicious as well. Our wine was an old favorite, The Prisoner, and it was both reasonable in price and a perfect companion for our steaks. No desert. Had to take "doggy bags". The only downside to the evening was that as the restaurant filled up they seated a party of eight in the back room. Not the restaurants fault but these folks were a bit louder than table conversation requires. They were not vulgar or obnoxious or doing anything to complain about. Just loud. Anyway that did take my rating from a solid five to a four but be assured the food and drink and service were all first rate.

From start to finish, a fantastic meal. Arrived about 7:30 on a Saturday night. Quoted a 30 minute wait, which was expected. We were able to grab seats at the bar and have a few drinks while we waited. Bartenders were very friendly and mixed up some great drinks. I read a previous somewhat snarky review mentioning many diners in baseball attire. We can be included in that group, as we both wore Braves shirts as we had just left the baseball game. The stadium is just a 10 minute walk away. Back to the meal, we started with the whiskey river shrimp on country toast, amazing appetizer! We almost ordered another one. We had the 12 ounce filet and the filet medallions. Both were cooked perfectly. We were both totally full but noticed a nearby diner being served carrot cake. A massive piece of cake. We ordered it to go. So big it had to be cut in half to fit in the to go box. Everything was great and our server was awesome. We wanted to have dinner there the next night but didn't have time as we were only in town briefly. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

Delicious filet mignon cooked to perfection! Have not found a bad item on the menu. The scalloped potatoes and wedge salad are my favorites! A must try if you're in the area.

My caption said it all. I have been to this location too many times to count. I brought my dad today on Father’s Day for the 1st time & all he kept saying is hmm hmm hmm, so that said it all. Our waitress Sydney was amazing! Will be back again soon.

I can never remember what it's called, but the coffee or expresso crusted filet is awesome. It is a must have for me anytime I travel to Atlanta.

My girlfriend and I set up a reservation at this restaurant and we were sat within 10 minutes of our time and the place was very busy. However, with them being so busy, the servers and hosts were working very well as a team, greeting someone’s table for them if they were busy at another table, grabbing empty dishes off the table, etc. Our server, Abbie, was fantastic. She was extremely friendly and quick about bringing our appetizer and drinks, refilling them when they needed to be refilled, and bringing our entrees out. She was very sweet and we received a complimentary dessert for our anniversary as well. We were extremely appreciative of her as our server. Our food was amazing. My girlfriend and I ordered the Petite Filet Mignon and the New York Strip Steak. Each was cooked to perfection on how it was ordered. It was very flavorful and so were the sides of asparagus and Mac n cheese. The complimentary dessert was a slice of chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. It was so succulent. I can’t thank our server enough for her warm hospitality towards us for our anniversary. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Atlanta area that wants top tier levels of hospitality, service, and food.

On a positive sign, let’s say that my husband’s prime rib could literally be cut with a butter knife which means the chef must be outstanding. The portions are also huge. However the service needs work. First there is the issue with seating. An hour to seat two people when you told us 45 min? That could be forgivable although sending reminders through text messaging is incredibly classist. Not everyone has a cell phone you know or has texting enabled. We finally get called and they put us at a table under a badly flickering light. I’m epileptic. I call attention to the problem, they argue with me over just picking another spot at the table which only seats four. THAT IS NOT GOING TO WORK WHEN THE STROBE IS LITERALLY ALL OVER THE TABLE! I don’t want to have 911 called on me and I am sure they don’t either. I said that to them. They opted to move me intelligently to another table to another part of the room. I had 100 seizures a week and was wearing a visible medical alert necklace warning about seizures which is always on me. I am not lying about my condition. Took a while to get the order (but they were busy) and the food came out really quickly. We were watching waiters walking around very confused not knowing what food goes where. This suggests poor training or a poor communication over where the food goes. This is poor efficiency. My husband and I watched (and overheard) several confused waiters on that issue. Please note my husband used to work as a busser and I used to work as a business consultant. This was not good. When it was time to request the check and get our food boxed up, that took forever. Took over 10 min to get the bill. We watched our waitress holding our credit card and bill for about 20 minutes because she was constantly being distracted by everything else. We almost had to leave without our extra food which at the price they were charging we were not leaving without. They were constantly trying to upsell their dessert which I would normally be fine with but given how long they took for everything else I did not have time to wait ANOTHER hour when I have a three hour drive home. All they would ever say is thank you for your patience. As a therapist my patience was about to run out. Since I really have low tolerance for most of what happened here (even less so when I’m sick and was exposed to a seizure trigger), I asked my incredibly tolerant of anything husband to pick their star rating. He said “good” but not “very good” so it’s a three.

We brought some company visiting in for a group meal & everyone really enjoyed their meals. Most everyone got the steaks, some got the coffee crusted , some got the typical but the steaks are cooked to perfection seared outside perfect temp inside & the sauces & side dishes were all delicious this is like fine dining but a more casual upscale type restaurant. I can't lie one of my favorite dishes is the shaved grilled chicken served with a complicated Thai type peanut spicy dressing that has about 100 other ingredients in it.

Not good I’m so surprised in Stoney River it used to be the best now it’s not steak no good threw it away go to Ruth’s Chris. I will not be coming back

First time to Stoney River and it was generally above average. Menu and food were very good but it was a little crowded so it took a while to get refills on drinks. I will go back.

My boyfriend took me there last night for my birthday - I ordered a filet RARE - what I got was totally over cooked and inedible. By the time they brought out a new meal my boyfriend was done his meal and we needed to leave (work night) I told this to the server and said just wrap it up. No apology, no manager informed and charged full price for a meal that I might eat for lunch today which is NOT the same as a birthday dinner at a high class restaurant. We will never go back.

This place is busy every day ! It doesnt give you the bar feeling from some of the upscale steakhouses - the bar is very busy and not as nicely decorated as others. BUt the service is excellent. The ladies give you a drink in less than 5 minutes. I have a very good steak salad in less than 10 minutes as well. Not sure how they do it with that big of a crowd. Definitely one of the best options to eat at that mall !

Excellent restaurant. I’ve been coming here for years and it never fails to impress. I ordered the legendary filet with garlic mashed and some lobster bisque soup. Food was phenomenal, service was perfect, atmosphere amazing. My server was Bryant and gave me a perfect experience. Thank you!!!

Wow, every bite of that Rib Eye steak was melt in my mouth! And the mashed Sweet Potatoes with brown sugar and crushed pecans was amazing! In addition to the mouth watering steak, service was prompt and very attentive. The restaurant was very busy and the tables were turning over fairly quickly, which is attributable to the quicker than expected service of appies and entrees. That first time dining experience will definitely have me going back!

Nothing like the picture. Steak was tough. “Coffee cured” filet ruined the flavor. Martini with a twist came back as a lemon-drop. Mall location. You get the idea…

We had dinner here during the Blade Show Exposition in Atlanta. Lovely place, great staff and delicious dishes. Good prices too! Maybe you need to wait a lil'bit, but it well worth the waiting. Highly recommended!

Came here after work with colleagues. Everyone required separate checks and there was no issue. All the dinners were great. I had the NY strip medium rare with asparagus and it was on point. For whatever reason (I was FULL), I ordered carrot cake to go for dessert and it was delicious, highly recommend. Great restaurant, not cheap but you get what you pay for. If in area for Braves game or work I definitely recommend.

Really good place. Excellent atmosphere, food was awesome, service was great. Will definitely return

Great food! I am not a steak eater but came for a work dinner. I got the French dip and it was amazing. Food is a little pricey but portions are plenty and amazing. Everyone got something different and had great things to say. Great atmosphere!

We arrived at our hotel a bit earlier than expected and decided to eat a late lunch at Stoney River. The service and food was just perfect, with nothing lacking as you might get at some places in the off hours. Thomas, our waiter whom we had before, was very welcoming and made us feel like special guests. His suggestions and options were spot on, and all was wonderful with just the right amount of service and nice timing between courses. Our salmon and chicken was cooked perfectly, the wedge salad is huge, and the daily-made carrot cake was divine. We certainly will be back.

Great dinner service at the bar last night from Taylor. Started with wine and deviled eggs. Sat, relaxed and chatted before ordering dinner. Husband had the double stack cheeseburger and baked potato. I had the trout with rice and broccoli. Portions are large and I took most of mine home. Everything was delicious. Ambiance really nice.

Drinks were very good, waiter was exceptional, and food was very good. My wife had exceptional Prime rib, my sister had a rack of ribs which were also very, very good. Salads were very , very good. My gourmet burger was good, but not as good as I expected. My brother in law had sirloin tip beef sliders that were very good.

We love to come here for lunch mainly because our most favorite entree salad is only served during lunch hours. The shaved chicken Thai salad is out of this world. I honestly love it so much now everyone I go there with orders the same now because I couldn’t stop talking about it the little fried bread balls are completely addictive with the whipped honey butter that just melts into the hot bread balls. (Thank goodness they don’t serve frozen balls of butter that a steak knife wouldn’t cut like some restaurants do. ) the only thing I wish was done differently is that they would serve the Thai chicken salad during the dinner hour. We have been here for dinners as well for the traditional lovely steak meals but we frequent lunch because of the salad. The cheesesteak rolls are so delicious it is always a must order item, & the drink called ONE FINE DAY is just delicious. I highly recommend this place to eat in. Make a reservation so you aren’t disappointed with a long wait & so they will have a better idea how much staff is needed because it is frequently very busy but so good.

Stoney River is one of a group of restaurants located at Cumberland Mall. It can be a little tricky navigating the parking area but well worth any effort. Reservations are not a must but we were seated right away last Friday night for our 8 p.m. reservations while others looked on enviously as they waited. The atmosphere is lively but louder than expected. Bread with honey butter is heavenly - make sure to ask for extra! The house salad was very large and fresh - ranch dressing was delicious. My husband's filet was cooked to perfection along with one of the biggest baked potatoes ever - one whole pound! I had filet medallions with crab cake. All I can say is awesome. We can't wait to go back!!

This restaurant touts itself as an upscale restaurant, but its really just an expensive chain that doesn't live up to the lofty prices on the menu. The first clue should have been the numerous diners dressed like they just went to a baseball game (maybe an upscale baseball game?). The second clue should have been the line on the menu that 'boasts' that the restaurant uses "Top Choice or higher" meats. On the contrary, 'choice' is midrange meat that one can buy pre-packaged in the local grocery store (or what Texas Roadhouse serves for $15 less). The addition of 'Top' is nothing but marketing to make it sound fancy. And if they did use 'higher' quality steak, which would be Prime, they'd definitely say so on the menu. If that's not the case, it'd be like selling gold necklaces and telling customers, "Our necklaces are made of silver at least." First and foremost, our service was great. So that's one good thing to be said about this place. The food, though, was not only sub-par but preparation was horrible as well. An order of french onion soup was EXTREMELY salty, to the point that no one wanted to finish the dish (and it was the broth, not the cheese, that was salty). The meals were also nothing to write home about. The best of the table was the steak salad, though the steak was a bit overdone and the salad was drenched in dressing. A medium rare filet mignon was served closer to rare (with a cool bluish-pink center), probably due to trying to broil a cold steak. My prime rib was cooked to order, but was surprisingly quite dry and chewy (which is probably evident of the "Choice" designation). Outside of the main meals, the sides were no better. Mashed potatoes were dry, clumpy, and flavorless. Baked potato was dry, overcooked, and served with about 4 large scoops of butter (as if the kitchen knew how dry it was). Au jus was cool..not just room temp, but like someone didn't reheat it long enough out of the fridge. Brussels Sprouts with bacon should have been worded as Bacon Crumble with Brussels sprouts, as the ratio in the dish heavily favored the latter. The best item of the night? The complimentary poppy seed rolls with cinnamon butter. They probably give you so much so you want have room to eat the rest of the mediocre meal. In the end, this was just an expensive meal with average platings. To rate this restaurant amongst the better steakhouses (including other chains like Morton's and Ruth's Chris) would be a travesty. This place falls in line with The Capital Grille IMO: A midrange steakhouse masquerading as a high-end, fancy eatery.

We had to leave; we couldn’t get waited on. we arrived and were ignored. In a time of terrible customer service, this was absolutely the worst.

I was at PF Changs at Cumberland Mall when I called Stoney River to ask them what kind of wait they had. Pfchangs is exactly 50 yards away. They told me there was no wait so he took me about 30 seconds to walk down there. As soon as I walked in the door and told them I had a party of 3 I just called a few seconds ago they told me I'm sorry I don't know who told you but there is a 30 minute wait. Well hell I don't know who told me either? Over the phone there's no wait but when they see me in person all of a sudden it's a 30 minute wait mind you the restaurant had very few patrons there. Obviously they didn't want my business so I just went to Ted's Montana Grill. I don't have time for these games and this is the last time Stoney River will ever see me.

Love this place. The steaks, prime rib, drinks and sides were excellent. The deviled egg appetizers were delicious as was the lobster bisque. Drinks include a bourbon cocktail that tasted of apple and I had an excellent martini with Santa Barbara olives. The potatoes gratin were rich.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Our reservation was on a Saturday evening, and one can expect to have a little trouble finding parking since it is located in a busy area of Cumberland Mall. We arrived about 30 minutes early and the hostess asked us to wait until a little closer to the reservation time to check in. We had a drink at the bar and despite being very busy, we were served quickly. Be prepared for the noise in the restaurant. It is not the type of location where one can have an intimate or business conversation easily. When we checked in, we were seated at a very nice booth. The servers were very efficient, friendly, and helpful. Dishes were delivered at the right times, and the close-out was prompt and accurate. We ordered a Steak Rolls appetizer for the table. It was delicious, but be prepared for large servings suitable for sharing. I also ordered the Blue Ridge salad which consists of mixed field greens, generous portions of Danish blue cheese and a creamy blue cheese dressing. It was also delicious, but again it was a very large portion. The filet mignon was prepared to perfection and was delicious. I had mine with bearnaise and burgundy button mushrooms. Overall this was a very good experience. I would recommend this restaurant for special occasions rather than a quiet formal meal.

My husband and I are in Atlanta for 3 weeks and were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this gem. The coffee cured filet is the best steak I've ever eaten. It literally melts in your mouth. Our server recommended a great red wine to accompany the steak. We visited a second time in a 2 week period and tried the ahi tuna steak as well. It was prepared perfectly. Highly recommend. The service is great as well.

I took my husband to Stoney River for Father's Day and the food was delicious. For an appetizer we ordered the steak rolls. For dinner we both order the NY Strip. I ordered the spinach for a side and my husband ordered the mashed sweet potato casserole. EVERYTHING was delicious. You know a restaurant has to be good when you are talking about what you're going to order the next time you come before you even leave the restaurant.

We had a business dinner at Stoney River in a private room, where the service was excellent and the food really good. The salad was fresh and big enough for one person, the beef filet was cooked as I wished to be and the deserts very tasteful. The whisky sour well prepared. Highly recommended.

With a couple of business colleagues, started with the deviled eggs which were most delicious I have ever had. No vinegar taste, they was almost a hint of sweetness to them. They were gone in no time! Followed with coffee cured filet ( sounds strange but trust me it works! ) and loaded baked potato. Both were delicious and I was surprised how the coffee flavored coating really complimented the filet. In previous visits, I have had the ribeye Oscar style and this is still my favorite but definitely glad I tried something new this visit. You really can’t go wrong here, my go to for steak when in the area.

This was a great meal and great service rolled into a great evening. We had 11 people in our party and our server did a great job. The food was incredible, one of the best filets I have ever had. I highly recommend this place, especially to anyone in town to watch some baseball at the new Sun Trust Park.

We had reservations and were seated promptly. Our waiter was very attentive. I had the steak salad and it was amazing! We also had the steak rolls as an appetizer and I loved them. My coworkers ordered pork tenderloin and they enjoyed it very much. It is pricey, but I think it's worth it.

Well, the atmosphere of the restaurant and bar are very nice, good service and friendly. Bartender recommended the Coffee-Cured Filet so being a filet and coffee lover how could I go wrong? Unfortunately, the filet that allegedly I would be able to cut with a fork… as a matter of fact, could “cut with my finger” (according to the bar tender) was so tough I had trouble getting through it with the serrated knife provide by my server. My filet at Walmart was easier to cut and tasted better. So did I get a chance to share my displeasure about my meal or disappointment with my meal or steak? Nope, the server never checked to see if the cook was accurate or if we were happy with our meal. Sorry Stoney River... for a "steakhouse" it's all about the beef, no treble… as much as I wanted it to be good, it was not and I will not be back.

While I can't put Stoney River on the level of Bone's or Chops...I must say this place delivers everything that a good steakhouse should be. From the dark ambiance of the furniture/decor/bar, to the great soups, sides, dressings, and so on...I've never had a bad experience there. Their french onion soup is some serious business that I wouldn't miss out on. Their steaks are really superb. Great service as well. Only drawback is getting in and around the mall parking lot...but small price to pay for such a solid place.

Had the opportunity to visit Stoney River's famous steak restaurant while visiting Atlanta recently. I had heard an lot of good things from the USA MD who loves his Steaks and I finally got the chance to visit. I have heard people claim to have eaten melt in your mouth steaks over the years....really get a room guys. I've never believed it until I Visited Stoney River and sampled a Filet Mignon Legendary Filet..... I'm now a believer of that quote. Service - Julian our table manager seemed a great guy and enjoyed some witty banter with this outnumbered Welsh valley commando also his knowledge of the food and wine menu and his recommendations hit all the right notes to this simple folk when it comes to the finer things in life. Ps for all you guys who have messed up and find themselves on death row then if I ever get there and I receive my last meal request then ditto to all of the above. Top marks guys and Thank you it was the highlight of my week in the US of A. Ps I'll be back.

This is one of our favorite restaurants! Food is always amazing and the service is excellent!! We have never had a bad meal here , and we have been going for several years! The ribeye steak is our favorite! You must try the puffs, yummy!😁 Great place for a date night!

After a full day of auto travel, we were tired and ready for a nice meal. We found the Stoney River Steakhouse on line and stopped. The menu is extensive with lots of interesting choices; however the portion sizes are very large. Since we were on the road we didn’t want such a large meal. The manager, Robert, stopped by the table to welcome us and we told him our concern. I asked if we could split and entrée and each order a salad. He said that is not a problem just tell our waiter and suggested that we also share one salad because they are also very large. He was right. Our waiter, Jonathon, understood and was very helpful with the menu selection. Two glasses of wine, a shared Caesar salad and house specialty steak later, we were refreshed and pleasantly full and ready to hit the road. If we had more time I would definitely go back again and maybe have a full portion.

Great place to eat. We were lucky to be seated right away. Server was at our table immediately to take drink orders and appetizer order. all of the food was great and the service was even better. Two of us had steak and the other one had seafood. Dessert to go.

I took my hubby to Stoney River for his birthday after enjoying our previous experience. The ambiance was lovely and we found the menu to be extensive with plenty of variety. The highlight of the meal was our server, Emily C, who was absolutely delightful, charming and had superb knowledge of the menu items. The portions were large and the food was both flavorful and beautifully presented. If you are in the Atlanta area, please stop by and check out this culinary gem.

Fine combination of service and food. Excellent variety of starters. Steak was perfectly cooked and (compared to some of the downtown steak houses) very reasonably priced. Definitely recommended.

We had reservation and get on time and no matter the restaurant was full we didn't had to wait. Very quickly their take us to the table. The service and dishes recommendation were very helpful. The dinner dishes were delicious and a lot! Excellent flavors and aroma on my fish. Next time I come back to Atlanta I will go again.

We visited this restaurant for a Christmas Eve dinner and we were very pleased with the service and food. There was a good selection and unlike other steak houses like those that have "Ruth" in their name the meals included a side without an additional charge. The only downer was when three in our party got the potato gratin as their side all three servings were cool, not even warm or hot. Desert servings are very large and can feed a party of 5 without a problem.

I can't say enough about the place. Their hash browns for 2 are world class, the shrimp Louie, the house salad are outstanding. I ordered the 14 oz. rib eye medium rare +. It came medium well. When asked by our server, Susie, how things were, I told her that the steak was over cooked but no big deal. She and the manager, Paige, whom she signaled insisted that they do another steak the way I ordered it. It came and it was perfect. This is a place to go that will rival the best Buckhead has to offer but without the ambiance. I will be back

For being connected to a mall this was a great find. The food was really good and the pricing on the moderately high side. We had great service as well. Looks to be the best choice in the area.

This was my first visit to Stoney River. My family and I just celebrated my Mom's 82nd birthday here. Big thank you to Stoney River, especially our server Chris and our gracious hostess (forgot to get her name). Our party was handled with great care, professionalism and top notch customer service. The food was just as awesome as the staff. I had the deviled eggs, steak rolls and steak biscuits - Simply delicious. My family also enjoyed the grilled salmon, pecan trout and ribs. We will definitely be back!!

I arrived late, as in around 8:30 and sat at the bar. It took about 3 minutes for the bartender to get to me. (They were not that busy) I ordered a drink and dinner. I asked for the salad first and to not turn the main order in at once, so I didn't have all the meal at one time and feel rushed. Well, it took about 10 minutes for the salad and the main meal followed immediately. I reminded the bartender what I said and was told she was sorry for what the kitchen did. I let it drop, as I could sense she didn't really seem to care. She didn't engage with me at any time during my stay - very impersonal. I ate my meal, left a small (5%) tip and left. I'll never go back.

Stumbled in here by accident from the Sheraton at the mall. Food was amazing. Very good. Every dish was delicious. The mojito was fantastic and fresh. I highly recommend.

Although it is a steakhouse with awesome steaks, my preferred appetizer is the whiskey shrimp. Gotta enjoy this appetizer when visiting Atlanta.

Our server was Haley and she was great. Never an empty beverage glass and she even noticed that I didn’t use the straw so my second and third sodas came without one. She also provided good recommendations for entrees and was pleasant and friendly even though the place was very busy. Very nice atmosphere and a noticeable team effort from the entire staff to make sure I enjoyed my dining experience.

Overpriced steak house. I had the prime rib which was cooked perfect and I choose the 1 pound baked potato. I don’t believe the potato was 1lb (see pic) I t looked like a normal potato. Then is $6.50 to add a salad which turned out to be almost a meal in itself. The rolls were warm and came with cinnamon butter. So my meal and a water was $42 plus tip. Seems like too fancy of a restaurant to be located at the mall. Also parking can be hard to find.

This location is an excellent place for a business lunch where you want to hear the conversation. The noise level in the restaurant does not disturb the conversation. The service was appropriate for the occasion. The steaks were very flavorful. I had the steak and frites. I was able to change the frites out for another vegetable.

The food was amazing, the services was great. Great selection of wine and draft beer. The chicken and steak was awesome.

My wife and I dined at Stoney River for her birthday. We ordered a salad which is a large head of cheap Iceburg lettuce cut in half with dressing on top (Boring). She ordered the Fried Shrimp Platter, which the size of the Shrimp was large as my thumb and very tasty with a light batter, which was great.!! I ordered the Ribeye Steak with Blue Cheese and Broccoli. I scraped the Blue Cheese off the steak, due to it being too overwhelming and it took away the taste of the steak. The restaurant is very nice inside, the menu is pricey and lack luster of options to choose from. I'd say this is an overpriced Longhorns.

Pitmaster Approved! "This filet is phenomenal" were the words my co-worker used to described the steak that subsequently brought a tear of joy to his eye. It's rare that I visit, much less recommend, a steakhouse for dinner because they always seem to disappoint, but everyone in our group had an iron deficiency we needed to correct...and boy did Stoney River deliver. Wow! I'm not easily impressed with restaurant steaks but I'm excited to proclaim 9 oz center cut coffee cured filet the best steak I've tasted. The filet was perfectly crusted on top with hints of brown sugar and molasses, and the inside was exactly the medium doneness I was craving. The mashed sweet potato casserole was the perfect compliment for this filet too. My co-workers ordered the hash browns for two that was crisp, golden, and delicious. Skip the other steakhouse and get to Stoney River now!

Came here for dinner with colleagues, had the prime rib. Superb! Cocktails were spot on, the service was incredibly good. Mr. Augustus was our server, and he did a great job!

We had a wonderful time. I had taken the time out to reserve a table. We were nestled in a cozy room just off the bar. The ambiance was amazing! There were 6(3 couples) in our party. The service, the food, the drinks...all on point. We will definitely be going back for date night again.

Been here many times of the past ten years and highly recommend their fillet mignon steaks of varying sizes. Quality of their meat has always been good as is their selection of wines. Very pleasant and attentive staff.

We asked the waiter what steaks he would recommend but that seemed to fox him a bit so they sent a different one over. I ordered the prime rib and was quite disappointed as it was very fatty. I know all the nonsense about fat keeping the meat tender but this was 25% or more fat. When you’re charging over $30 for a steak that’s not good. They were very good with the wine and let us sample them before we bought one. The Malbec’s weren’t great so we ordered a Cabernet. That wasn’t as fruity as you get elsewhere. Quite surprised at the total for the two of us at over $160 as I didn’t really think it was worth that.

We landed in Georgia after being chased by Hurricane Florence for the better part of a day and we decided to eat at Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill because we wanted to enjoy a meal that was actually cooked to order and not "fast". Jennifer provided excellent service from start to finish and she could relate to our circumstance because she had relatives along the coast in South Carolina. We all tried different items and my son said that the Steak Burger was one of the best he has ever eaten any where. I had the Steak and Fries and it was a tender New York Steak cooked to my order, very delicious. My wife had the Bistro Chicken which was Panko-crusted, with parmesan cheese and lemon caper sauce. We all shared desert which was a Chocolate Fudge cake with vanilla ice cream. Everything was very enjoyable, food tasted great and the restaurant atmosphere was very pleasant. Wish we lived closer so we could try everything on the menu.

Food and service were outstanding!!! Great wine selection and great steaks. It is located in a mall area, so you can get some shopping done then have a great meal. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

My first time eating at Stoney River, and I was disappointed. The food was so-so considering my meal by itself was over $30, not including the appetizer or my drink. One positive was that the wait staff was very accommodating when the chips for our appetizers came out too salty - They replaced them with a higher priced item but didn’t charge me extra. Not sure if I will return, but I did appreciate the attentive wait staff... But at those prices, they better make darn certain to do what they can to make the customer happy!

I had visited this restaurant once many years ago when passing through Atlanta. I was returning from Florida, getting tired and hungry when I saw the name pop back up in Trip Advisor. I re-routed the GPS and made it 15 minutes before they closed. As I remembered, another amazing experience. Such a friendly staff. Food was perfectly prepared. It feels like stepping out of the busy world and into a high-end steakhouse, just at more affordable prices., I highly recommend!

we were seated quickly , service always good at this location , salads are presented well , fresh and the blue cheese dressing is over the top , bread and butter should be served as dessert ,

Only one person got steak and we were all very happy with our food. The seafood was as good as the steaks. The food was very fresh and the menu was varied. I plan to go again soon.

We decided on Stoney River for lunch as a birthday celebration as it can get very busy on a Friday in the Atlanta area. We have dined here a couple of times and always found the food and service to be very good. I would suggest looking at the menu online so you have an idea of what you might like to order. Be aware that this is a chain and that hours may vary at other sites.

What an experience ! Excellent service. Delicious food. Great atmosphere. All rolled into one. Staff is professional and personable. (Thank you Dre and Prince) . From walking through the door and being welcomed to our last bite of dessert, what a great time.

6 other co-workers and I were the guests of one of our vendors. Atmosphere was excellent (you could actually hear each other speak), service was on point, salads excellent and delivered in a timely manner. As far as I could tell, all others at our table really enjoyed their lunch entree and sides. I had ordered one of the specials....filet medallions, mashed potatoes and green beans. The first few bites of the medallions were excellent. As if on cue, as soon as one of the guests asked how mine was and I replied "excellent", the next few bites I literally had to dispose of in my napkin. Either too much fat (defeats the purpose of a filet) and/or way undercooked (ordered Medium, they were all below Medium Rare). The beans also started as very tasty but then got to a portion where the garlic flavored topping just got to be too much. Not sure what happened with the filet but I will not order that again. I have eaten at this location before, always with excellent results, so I will be back. Everyone has a bad day every so often. One more item that we all found a little funny....as we were seated, and there were some patrons already eating, there was an electrician on an extension ladder moving about the restaurant changing out light bulbs (we think), literally right next to people eating their lunch. We are all in the construction business and just laughed....that would never happen at any of our sites!! And the manager was pointing him around on which ones to attend to. Hilarious!

The atmosphere is pleasant, the food is good, and the staff are welcoming and professional (Gabrielle deserves special mention; she's great !). You will be pleased you ate here.

Took a couple friends out while working in Atlanta. Waited at the bar for a table and service was very attentive, drinks were very good. The coffee cured filet mignon was, as usual, fantastic. Tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. I will return.

Many good things about this place: Attentive service. Reasonable (for upper end) prices. Good varied menu. Nice wine list. Good beers on tap. I had mixed opinions on the food. The one fried option I had tasted like the oil should have been replaced in the fryer. And the salmon on my ceasar salad was not particularly good. And the salad itself was over dressed. But the others at my table said that their steaks were just great. So I guess my advice is to stick with steak and enjoy.

I stopped in here just because I was passing by and decided I wanted a steak. I'm glad I did. The prices are not cheap but they have the quality to match the prices. I would highly suggest trying the "Steak Rolls' as an appetizer, they were incredible! I had the center cut Filet Mignon and it was as soft as butter! I like it cooked rare and many places cook it too much when you ask for rare, not here. It was wonderful!

My husband and I tried this place for the first time and it was delicious! We arrived a bit early for our dinner reservation so we opted to sit at the bar for pre dinner drinks. Taylor and the other bartender (can't remember his name) were great as they recommended and made fabulous drinks! The lemon twist mojito and bramble with brandy dripped cherries taste amazing! We had prime rib and bass for dinner and they were both wonderful. Management visited us several times both at the bar and dinner table to make sure everything was satisfactory. We did inform them that it was our anniversary and they provided a complimentary slice of their chocolate cake (yummy)!! The service was stellar along with great food and drinks! I definitely recommend dining here and will return for sure!

We dropped in for a business dinner. We had 3 people in our party, and were dressed nicely. We got a 30 minute wait (no buzzer / pager?) and decided to wait it out. We waited for well-over an hour, seeing people who arrived after us seated. Then they realized they goofed. And we finally got seated. They did throw in a free appetizer, but come on - this shouldn't happen. For the food, we ordered a variety of stuff from the menu. The bread bits with the cinnamon butter were good. One person in our party had their Prime Rib, while another had their Coffee cured 12 ounce filet, while I had their 12 ounce Lodge filet. The steaks were all excellent - period. Good meat, properly cooked, and very high quality. I needed to add some salt and pepper to the steak. Everything is ala carte here, so be ready for that. We passed on dessert. The service once seated was good. The water glasses stayed filled, and our waitress was attentive.

Stopped in for dinner around 6PM on a Tuesday. Got seated right away and orders were back almost before we were ready. My wife had the french onion soup and a salad. I had the steak and biscuits. Even tho the menu is a bit on the pricy side, I would recommend this place. The service was fantastic and the food was great.

This place has the closest things to ribs grilled at home. I usually hate restaurant ribs but these are different. They make you kick your fingers and you get a nice portion. The grab chunk appetizer is deli it's and those little breads they bring to the table are nothing short of amazing. The ambiance in this place is so romantic, the decor is tasteful. They also offer a bar, my husband is a fan of the bone I rib eye steak he loves it. 10 thumbs up for this place. My husband tried the salmon with the Asian glaze this time and he said it was delicious.

First time at this restaurant and it was spectacular. The food, wine, and service was top notch. The salmon was delicious, the ribeye was cooked perfectly and the Blue Ridge Salad was just very large and very good. We will definitely be going back again.

Visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from our hotel. We arrived at our hotel prior to the 3 pm check in time and decided to have lunch while waiting for our room to be ready. We were told to try the meatloaf. Meatloaf is not something I would normally order when eating out, but this was not your ordinary meatloaf. It was delicious as were the mashed potatoes and green beans that came with it. Poppy seed honey butter rolls were unlike I have ever been served in a resturaunt. Absolutely delicious!!! Best service I think I have ever received as well. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for dinner several days later during our stay. Make a reservation if you go for dinner though or you are likely to encounter a lengthy wait time. Well worth it though.

Just had dinner here and the food was great! We had French Onion Soup and the French Dip. Very wonderful! The service was exceptional as well!

Christmas Eve dinner for our family is a tradition and based on reviews we decided to have dinner at a restaurant at a mall. What could go wrong? Well, first off the food was pretty good. A couple of us had the house filet which was decent. The prime rib was pretty fatty but had good taste. Salads were big and decent tasting. Restaurant was loud and undecorated for the holidays which was a bit disappointing. Service initially was responsive but ended up waiting 80 minutes for our main meal. Almost ended up having a bill of $40 for 2 glasses of wine until I rechecked the bill. Waiter was gracious enough to get it fixed. The restaurant doesn’t really have any character and given that it was Christmas Eve I’ll give the staff a break on the kitchens slow response. But overall the visit was a disappointment given what we were expecting. We opted out of dessert since we didn’t want to spend another long wait. $225 for 4 people just to keep you in the mindset of what it costs to eat there.

Atmosphere was great, and service was nice. I ordered the meatloaf and no way was that beef. The mash potatoes tasted like they were from a box mix, not real potatoes. For the price, I expected the real deal.

Had a business dinner here. Service was very good. Waiter made recommendation for seafood appetizer to share and it was very good. I had the Wedge salad (lettuce with blue cheese and bacon). It was very good but was too big ( seemed like a double wedge). I had New York Strip with asparagus side. Steak was better than average but was a little beyond my medium rare order. I would definitely consider eating here again.

Met a old friend here for lunch. We had a great lunch. The food was delicious and the service was great. The food was not not greasy, over-cooked or bland. You could definitely tell there was a real chef back in the kitchen. The presentation of the food was also very well done. Neither one of us had eaten here before and wanted to try it. It is definitely a place we will go back to again. We had a baby with us and they were very accommodating. We appreciated that. On the way out, I got a card and the GM was David Moore. Mr. Moore, we really enjoyed your restaurant. Will be back one day.

Big portions. Majority of folks enjoyed their food. A few mentioned the steaks had a little too much salt. The salads added as a side to the meals were huge. Overall good experience.

I will start by saying J Alexanders-owned by the same company-is my favorite restaurant for service, price, and food quality. Stoney River disappointed. Waitress didn't know what beers were on tap, then didn't know what types of beer they were. My steak came out so undercooked I had to send it back. No apology, no manager visiting the table, nothing.

This place is a must-experience in the ATL. The food is consistently superb. The filet mignon steaks are amazing. They're my wife's favorites, but I enjoy the steak salad with Dijon vinaigrette dressing. The rolls are addictive. Seriously - addictive. The chocolate cake tops the evening. If you like a place with good food, but with the entire staff walking around on egg-shells, go to Houston's. If you like a place with the same high-quality food and service, but with a much higher tab, go to Chops or STK Steakhouse. But if you want a place with incredible service, awesome food, relaxed atmosphere, servers who genuinely care about your evening, and a reasonably priced evening (not cheap, but reasonable), then this is the place! And, if you really want a deal, go at lunch. Same quality, even better prices. Also, I've got to give Kudos to Brittany who served us tonight. She was attentive and gave us an awesome evening. And, also a shout out to John, one of the managers. He checked on us toward the end of the evening. I sensed he was genuinely concerned about our experience. Do you know how a manager checks on you at a restaurant, but it feels like s/he is REQUIRED to ask how you're doing??? That's NOT John. He was concerned about us and very interested in our experience. I've had lunch and dinner many times at Stoney River - and I've NEVER been disappointed. Try it once. You'll be back MANY times!

The service is very good. Next time I will request no butter on the steak or just side dish. I always cut out the fat and calories in all meals. The steak is always fresh and prepared. My wife is always happy after the meal. Happy wife = Happy life.

I'm sure the steak was a good piece of meat before it was adulterated with a pound of salt. If you like salt and high blood pressure this is the place for you, otherwise Stay Away!!!!!

My wife and I had a fabulous meal including the French Onion Soup and gray Ribeye Steak. The sides were also very good. Great service and a nice atmosphere!

Two of us were in for a business lunch recently at this Cumberland steakhouse that is part of a small chain, and I suspect part of a larger restaurant group. We dined here out of convenience, and were quite surprised at the quality of food and service. The wait staff seemed exceptionally well-trained and is very friendly. Something I wouldn't quite expect these days at a mid-priced steakhouse. Even the general manager working the dining room and inquiring about everyone's experience and meal seemed very genuine. We both enjoyed ice tea and the pan-seared fish special that day. The meal was absolutely delicious. Recommended.

Recommended by the hotel, I was able to walk in and be seated right away. Service was good and the French dip was very good with lots of meat. Great flavor and a reasonable price. Next time, I will try the stacked cheeseburger.

The lighting in the building is off the chain, It is a nice place for a lover, and the steak is very good. You will really enjoy the setting.

We came for dinner to cekebratea friends birthday. There as 15 if us. 3 people had to sit at a different table in the same general area but nit next to us. We were told we could not add a table with us due to "fire code". I was very awkward and embarassing to our friend who hosted the dinner. Food was okay, enjoyed "whiskey shrimp appetizer. This place not good for large groups.

2019-May, Party of 13, 2:30 pm Parking was ok. We had a reservation, so we were seated right away. However at that hour, there was not much people there. Our server took our drink orders and our drinks came quickly. Due to our large party, we had two people serving us... Our meal came quickly and it was tasty. We had creme brulee... yum! A little pricey.. but the service was great! 11 meal entrees, 6 appetizers, 3 desserts, and few fountain drinks, came out $500.32, tip included. If this review helped you in any way, please give it a thumbs up! Thanks! Bon appetit!

Cute spot for lunch, dinner, or drinks. Hostess and Waitress were very nice and attentive. Food was not anything special, potatoes were more like real potatoes mixed with boxed potatoes. My meal lacked flavor, but the prices and drinks were okay. They gave a very sweet gesture by surprising my son with a huge free slice of chocolate cake for graduation. I would give them another try because the inside was nice and the customer service was excellent.

Great steaks once again! Service was good steaks cooked as ordered. One was a little tougher than usual but very tasty.

Pricey but great. The food was good on all levels. But it isn't a cheap Meal. Great steak! Great shrimp! Great sides! Very good!!

Food was delicious, our server (Brooke?) was great, the drinks were fantastic. Would definitely recommend for a before-game meal.

We started with the deviled eggs which were recommended by our server. Although I am not usually a deviled egg fan, these were fantastic. We followed up our appetizers with steak. The steak was very tender and well charred. Our Server was beyond attentive. She was one of the best Servers we have ever had. We would definitely return.

I had the New York strip & it was superb - the best steak I have had in a long time. Prices are fairly high but I'd say worth it. Good service.

Tried the coffee cured filet and loved it. I would not normally have ordered a dish like this but my travel partner recommended it and I ordered it based on its uniqueness. It was very good. The service was excellent despite the restaurant being fairly busy, the waitress returned often to check on us.

8 of us reserved a table here mid week and first impressions were really good, nice vibrant restaurant, smart looking staff and amazing smells from the kitchen. We had quite a few drinks each, we had a selection of starters which were gorgeous and pretty much filled me up! I went for salmon and everyone else had steak, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Only negative is the bathroom is a bit tired looking and was untidy with empty loo rolls, etc. It is quite expensive but worth it, I'd love to go here again.

4 of us went for Mother’s Day dinner and got the coffee cured filets, very good steaks and house salads were very good as well, service was excellent and the ambience was nice.

Our new favorite Steak House. The food was fantastic, the location had a beautiful, relaxing ambience, and the entire staff was great. Looking forward to another visit.

Went here for a family birthday party and was glad about it! Such a nice menu and unique food!! We selected steak rolls and whiskey shrimp for our apps...both excellent! Meal selection was steak and biscuits...biscuits were so-so but steak was tender and flavorful. We also ordered a filet, chicken tenders and fried shrimp. All were fresh, flavorful and very good!! Birthday dessert was very good too! Chocolate cake with ice cream! Nicely decorated restaurant with superb staff!

The service was very good. Both the wait service and food service were very good. However, I ordered the strip steak with sweet potato casserole. The steak had NO taste (ordered medium). Very disappointed. The sweet potato casserole was good but watery? My husband ordered the steak salad. Again, the steak had no flavor. Our daughter had the chicken bistro. It was good. Large serving of chicken and sides. No way to finish it all. For the price, I’d go to Outback for a better steak 😜.

Came here for our anniversary .. I did make reservations based on another review, that is a must. This place was packed. Nice atmosphere the staff was awesome. The food was great, we would come here again.

We arrived and was seated as soon as we walked in. We ordered drinks and then after receiving these drinks, ordered our entrees. It took 30+ minutes from the time we finished our salads for our food to arrive. The bread had sat on our table so long that it was extremely cold. I appreciate that the food is not prepared until it is ordered, but this is pretty ridiculous. The manager came over and said that it normally takes 22 minutes. The food was tasty with the exception of the steak being TOO salty and the atmosphere great. I would recommend that the utensils given to eat with are not placed directly on the table but placed on a napkin instead. The chocolate dessert was tasty but would have been more excellent had it been warmer under the ice cream.

Service good. Reservations recommended. Also has a separate bar. Serves lunch. Open 7 days. Three Atlanta locations.

Thai salad and Cumberland salad were great. Good for lunch because they can get you in and out quickly.

I ate at this restaurant last month to celebrate my birthday. The service from our waiter was poor. We waited at least 10 minutes before he approached our table to introduce himself, and take our drink order. During our visit, the waiter was unattentive and disengaged. He was clearly focused on something else other than providing us with quality service. He missed an add-on item that was ordered, and we had to ask for items that should have accompanied our meal. The waiter did not provide us with the level of service that should have been provided at a restaurant of this caliber. Due to such a poor waiter experience, the excitement of my birthday dinner was affected. This experience has influenced any future visits to this location.

Packed on a wed evening for dinner. I took the bar stool and service was quick and efficient but not particularly friendly or attentive. Food was just about average for the price charged. Not too bad, not too memorable.

We spent a Friday night with family at this restaurant at Cumberland Mall, near Truist Park in Atlanta. The food at Stoney Rver is excellent with many choices. The steaks are outstanding and cooked properly to your order, but they also have excellent seafood and appetizers. The thing that really impressed me on this visit was the quality of the wait staff. Our waiter was outstanding. His sense of timing was perfect-not too attentive, just attentive enough with a very professional touch. We loved the service and i noticed that all of the tables around us were receiving similar service. In the current times, with shortages of employees, this establishment has it down right. We started out our visit in the bar for a drink and received similar service. We definitely are coming back and would recommend this place to all. Great job by the management and employees to give us a memorable dinner experience.

The espresso rubbed steak is amazing, salads are impressive and sushi is delicious. Located in the mall it seems to be more for the many business meetings in the surrounding area. The atmosphere inside is dark and intimate, just nothing to look out onto from one of the windows.

Party of 10? No problem. Vegetarian amongst us? No problem. Great apps? No problem. Great steaks? No problem. Loud celebrants? No problem. I started with the fresh Ahi Tuna Tower layered with Ahi tartare, avocado, mango, and fresh corn with homemade chips. Outstanding. Then I ordered the 14oz. Ribeye with au gratin potatoes. I asked for my steak charred on the outside and medium rare. It was perfect! One of the BEST steaks I’ve had for $34.00. Yes! Only $34.00. What a deal. And the complimentary mini rolls? Addictive!

This restaurant is connected to the mall. It has a nice ambience. We were impressed with the food. My steak burger was delicious and unique and two of the sides we tried were awesome. The loaded baked potato is enormous. We were surprised that the price was pretty reasonable, at least for their burgers. Good service. Would eat here again.

Came here on a Saturday evening for my mom's bday dinner. First off, MAKE RESERVATIONS. Otherwise, you'll wait an hour or more. We still waited about 5-7 minutes even with reservations. Next, he started with the steak rolls and the spinach dip. The dip was good, but those steak rolls were DIVINE. The best ove had at any restaurant. For entrees, I had the Pecan trout with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli, which was fresh and really good. Wife had the ribeye steak with broccoli, and she enjoyed it. Mom had the NY strip with side salad, and she enjoyed it. Dad also had the ribeye. Our service was great as well, as our server Janasia, was terrific. Recommend her to you. I'll be back soon, because the food was great!

Unfortunately, my husband and I felt that there was an overwhelming amount of seasoning and butter on the steak. It detracted from the taste of the meat. We often splurge on great steak restaurants when on vacation and were highly disappointed. This is not a place we would try again. It may simply not be our thing while others may prefer it. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were good. The bread was wonderful.

Four of us went to Stoney for dinner with no reservation, and got right in. Then the place filled up. The service was awesome and everyone was so friendly. The food was hot and there was a great selection of foods to choose from. What we each ordered was awesome. We would go back the next time we are in Atlanta. It is at the end of a Indies mall and you enter from outside,

Stoney River was near our hotel and decided to bring a client to try their signature filet. Espresso is the secret marinade ingredient and it gives the steak a mild sweet taste with a thin top crust layer on the meat. Our steaks were cooked to specification and the filet was very good - but once trying the coffee-cure - I believe I will stick with good old-fashioned grilled meat! The deviled-egg appetizer recommended by the server was awesome - wedge salads are huge. Great wine selection and great atmosphere.

Great steaks done right. Prime rib was great and done right. Had a special halibut dinner and it was very good. Not over cooked. Service is great. Have been there several times and it has never disapointed.

We ordered the coffee rub steaks which we enjoy. Only problem was that we ordered the steaks medium-rare and the steaks came back mostly rare. Disappointed with this. I was visiting with a friend and we just weren't up to sending the plates back and having them redone, and we shouldn't have to. So we ate them and I reminded myself that I do not like my steak rare, just do not like the texture when it is rare. I will say that the service was very good, and the Old-fashion was spot on.

Used to come here a lot. Moved away and drove back today to have lunch. Should have known that a half-empty restaurant on Friday is not a good sign. Since I made a reservations seated promptly. Waited 11 minutes for anyone to even give eye contact. Nothing. Got up and left. On the way out the hostesses saw us but did not spend a second asking us why we were leaving. Last time. Booth we sat in was ripped as well. Not sure what happened to this location. It is not mid-scale like it used to be. Thirty minute drive each way specifically to eat here, was such a disappointment.

This was my first experience here and it was a great one. We had a business group of roughly 10, and I would highly recommend this location for any business function. The waiter (can't remember his name) was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful. I cautiously ordered the coffee/espresso filet, as I am very particular about my steaks, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare with a great sear on it. I loved the uniqueness of it. The coffee flavor in the crust was truly unique which was refreshing given that most restaurants today don't seem to serve anything different than what ever other restaurants serve. Great beer, wine, drink selection.

Came her on a lunch date with my child hood friend on a holiday. The poppy seed doughnuts are so delicious with the honey butter! I always ask for extra. I had the salmon with spinach and rice I believe. The salmon was a little over cooked and was bland to me. I didn't really enjoy it for I had better. Thank goodness I ordered lunch portion because I did't even eat it all. I also ordered the steak egg rolls which were good. Not amazing how everyone puts it, but the are good and tasty. The whisky shrimp are ok. Again, not amazing how others put it. Just my opinion. I also ordered the Lady Duchess drink which was pretty ok. Got to know the bartender Greg. He is awesome and has the best service. He also makes some mean margaritas. All in all, whenever I come on holiday back to GA, it's a place I would come and munch on appetizers only and have a few drinks. Can't forget about those delicious doughnuts!! I'm a fan.

I was delighted to find this location for two different business dinners in the same week. The coffee cured filet is all it is built up to be. Highly recommended.

This place was great. We walked right in and was seated immediately on a Friday afternoon around 1:00pm. We ordered the deviled eggs for an app without the bacon and they were so so good. Then came the rolls. I generally skip bread and specially when I order a sandwich but something told me to try. Omg. I shouldn’t have started. I think these are the best I’ve had in a long tine. Small yeast rolls that you can’t stop eating. Of course we had to get some to go. My sister had the Bistro chicken with caramelized mashed potatoes. Yum and I ordered the veggie burger with broccoli. This is a huge burger. It was actually 3 servings for me. The large amount of broccoli probably help fill me up too. This burger was moist and fresh. A great tasting well cooked burger. I definitely recommend eating here and don’t forget to try those rolls👍🏽👍🏽

Stoney River Steakhouse is probably one of the best Steakhouses in Atlanta. Their food and service is always great. The "Cowboy" a bone-in Ribeye is seasoned well, tender and covers the plate. Salmon is delicious, the Spinach Dip as a starter is scrumptious!!! So many good choices. I have only one thing, Stoney RIver, please bring back the wonderful aoli sauce that you used to have with the crab cake!!! Your crab cake is wonderful, but that sauce took it over the top. Please visit any Stoney River in the Atlanta area, it will be worth it!!!

Each year when we travel to Atlanta for the Blade show we always eat here. Our meal begins with Whisky Shrimp, a really tasty appetizer. We usually have the Filet Mignon and it is so tender you can cut it with a fork. We don't have dessert because we are too full from dinner. Our opinion of this restaurant is that although it is a chain restaurant it is very very good. If in town go there.

Visited here on a Tuesday night for a dinner with a lifelong friend. As always, Stoney River did not disappoint. The other meal was the steak salad. Portions were more than sufficient, server was perfect and atmosphere cozy. Have eaten at the Roswell location as well! Always a wonderful experience!

Great steaks and ribs. Had Prime Rib and ribs. Prime rib cooked perfect as ordered med rare. Ribs were very tender and large portions.

There is not one thing you could order on this menu that is not fantastic delicious or scrumptious! Bon Apetit!

Bartender as excellent. Server Erin was excellent. Food was good but not great. Ambience was a bit annoying because we were seated right next to the entrance to the kitchen so lots and lots of traffic.

We always went to Stoney River when we are in Atlanta every year. We also always make reservations. Usually there is no issue at all. This year we had reservations for 7:00 pm and arrived early. We were told it would be ten minutes. Wrong! We were not seated for almost an hour. When we questioned the check in personnel the first time, we were told they were running behind and it would be just a few minutes. Okay, sorry no go. 30 minutes later we asked again and were told that people were being seated in the order they arrived. Umm we arrived early. Parties of four as ours was that arrived after our party were seated before us. SO go up and ask again. It has now been 50 minutes. The check in girl looked at her reservation computer and said we did not have a reservation. Really??? We had one an hour ago. It appeared that our reservation had been skipped over in favor of other reservations. After scrolling way up the reservation list we were found and finally twenty minutes later we were seated. The food was fine although the service was not as good as usual. Our waitress did not even know what a single malt scotch was. After this experience it is doubtful we will return next year. I expect better for the price. Unless they train their front desk staff better and change their reservation system I cannot recommend this restaurant .

NYE in Hot-lanta found my wife and I looking for a good place near our hotel for some fine dining! Peach Bowl fanatics were everywhere, and we knew a wait for a table was inevitable. We were able to make a last minute reservation at Stoney River, and were seated immediately as we arrived. My wife had the grilled mushroom meatloaf and I had the traditional steak n biscuits, and there were fabulous! Topped it off with some of the best Key Lime Pie ever! I recommend it to anyone visiting or anyone local!

We celebrated a birthday there for 9 people. They took a reservation, which was great. The food was very expensive, however. The food was good and the service was good. I would not return, however, due to the cost/value for the money.

We had a party of 7 who had waited all day for dinner at Stoney River Steakhouse. We had reservations and this place was highly recommended by our Atlanta friends. I ordered the Lobster Bisque - loved it! Creamy and rich and I would order again. My entree was the center cut 7 oz filet. It was really tender and I wanted to like it. It had a sweet taste and I only ate half of it - some people may like their sweet steaks but I prefer a more seasoned (savory) steak. I finished my meal with a creme brûlée. Dessert was okay - nothing special. Most of our group enjoyed dinner but I don't think I would go out of my way to eat there again.

Our first time here. We came in for a Monday lunch. Clean, open and well lit dining area. Very friendly and professional staff. Brooke was a great server and representative of the restaurant. Food was served promptly and perfectly prepared. Looking forward to returning.

Only order the steak if you are wanting to drink a lot before it gets there - the steak is good, but it takes SO LONG.

A bit different food, especially when one is at a Steakhouse, but not eating beef... The prawns and the fish were amazingly nice.... topped with cold weather, potatoes were like icing on the cake... Wente “Riva Ranches” Chardonnay white wine complemented the meal extremely well.

I went there with a larger party for dinner and the accommodated the extra guests that tagged along. The service was great. Wine list was awesome. Highly recommend it.
Great place
Went to Stoney River Steakhouse last minute on the advice of a friend. It did not disappoint. We were greeted by Jason, who was an incredibly friendly and attentive waiter. We started with a spinach dip and two huge salads. Then my son had a coffee cured filet that was very flavorful. We split a center cut filet. Both entrees were accompanied by a creamy Mac and cheese. All the portions were very large and yummy. We left with lots of boxes. Before the end of the meal we were greeted by two managers who wanted to make sure we had a great experience...we did! In fact, she asked if we needed anything else and we joked more of those delicious fresh rolls. Guess what ended up at our table? The rolls! They made it into the take home box. Yes, it’s in a mall, but it’s not mall fare...outstanding food and service.
