One evening to eat an excellent sandwich here. We also took a portion of fried onions: excellent! Never eat anything like this. Nice place and very friendly staff.

We dined at the Hollywood location which I believe stays open past 2am. The weather was nice so the windows/doors were open. The side dishes are big enough to share. We tried the loaded fries and the pretzel. The pretzel is huge, handmade, fresh, tasty, and wasn't heavy. It came with three different sauces. The burgers were really good and cooked and they ask if you want the burger to be cooked pink or no pink. They do not allow substitutions with their specialty burgers. If you're driving, there is not a lot of parking spaces in the plaza that is shared with other restaurants. Those that ordered beer really liked the choices. Our waitress was good too.

We stopped at this restaurant to eat burgers! So my judgment will only go on this type of cuisine. The place is nice, the service cool, friendly and smiling. The Burgers are good and the Awards are relatively good. The fries were also good. A good experience for this type of food.

I came here on a vacation and my cousins took me to Stout because it was one of their favorites. Very impressed with the burger and beer selection, so many different options. I got the Truffle Shuffle burger and it was perfect. The flavors in it were great, I enjoyed every bite and I had a great porter beer to go along with it. The service was excellent, very fun atmosphere, and reasonable pricing. More than satisfied!

Great beer selection, nice buegers Staff is very kind, I liked the beers but asked the burger to be pink and was served an overcooked patty, not as I expected (at least for rhe price)

Eclectic tasteful menu, great selection of beers and an open air feeling close to everything in Hollywood. I’ll go back next time I’m in LA. Try it and you won’t be disappointed.

We had a great experience last time other than our fries taking longer than our main course. So we are here again to try something new. My tamagotchi is just right. A hazy Citra IPA and our server Ru has been a great server. Very attentive and always smiling. We had great service last time and it was great this time as well. Also we love the loaded fries. Hot and lots of flavor.

We enjoyed outside dining. We both ordered the Goombah, I had chicken my son had beef. We shared the sweet potato fries. I ordered the Iced tea not realizing it was from the fountain...I’m a freshly brewed kinda gal. They gladly replaced it with water. We had Topher as our server, he was fantastic. I highly recommend Stout when in the area.

The burger that I ordered was mazing! It was called the Shu burger and it had a delicious chipotle sauce on it! fun atmosphere and walking distance to Amoeba music store.

I was in LA on a business trip and had gone on a tour but wanted to waste some time before getting back into traffic. The burger was really good, they have a large menu of beer and wine. Only downside is that it was super loud inside and hard to hear anything from table mates, but if you want to take in the ambiance and get a tasty burger and an alcoholic beverage it is a good little place to check out.

The title of my review says it all really. We ate here twice during our stay in Los Angeles. The burgers are fantastic and there is a wide selection to choose from. The beer menu is extensive and the staff are very knowledgeable about which beers go best with each burger. The main draw is that it is open until 4am everyday so its great for a late night bite. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood.

Great burgers and great beers. We found this place by searching online for places with a decent beer selection and we were *not* disappointed! The wait staff really know their stuff, the selections are great, and the burgers - I had a Goombah, my husband had a Califresh veggie burger - are amazing. And during happy hour (4-6pm) your food is half price. That's your food, not your beer...

Tried several beers, all were great! The sixweeker burger is a must try! The staff is great and supportive. Good viber overall.

Service was good. We felt the menu was too limited. There weren't enough choices. You can remove items from a dish, but can't add any. We didn't care for that. Sweet Potato fries were okay at best. The regular fries were much better. The waitress was nice. Doubt we'd go back.

We enjoyed the burger at Stout, especially the stout burger with blue cheese and also the truffle burger with Brie and truffle. Ingredients are fresh and the burgers are tasty and juicy. A lot of sort of beers also. I didn’t like mine ( ipa the calling ) but there are so many beers that you will find yours !

We went with my boyfriend to dinner earlier. We ordered a kale quinoa salad with beef and the morning after burger. We both liked it was really delicious. It was around 5pm and it was full. I recommend this place if you go to Hollywood!

Located close to the Hollywood walk of fame. The burgers are delicious, they have a great offer of beers and some wines as well. The vibe is good, check it out.

My wife and I met a friend at this great little gastropub in Hollywood. The Morning After burger with a fried egg and chipotle ketchup was divine, the seasoned fries outstanding and the Black House Stout by Modern Times Brewing amazing. My wife loved the sweet potato fries. Plenty of parking on the neighborhood streets or surface lots nearby. With three locations in the LA region I'd recommend making this one of your must stops when in the area.

Its almost one week since I was there and I am still thinking about the burger, I had the goombah and it was absolutely delicious. I have gone off burgers recently as so many are heavy and dry relying on poor sauces for moisture but Stout burger reminded me of what a great burger should taste like. It light and moist with great flavours, the crispy prosciutto was diced up allowing even amounts in every bite of the burger. My dining partner had a nude burger on a rocket salad and it was really flavoursome as well with the rocket salad dressed in olive oil and lemon juice for a nice kick. I had a nice beer chosen for me by the waitress who was helpful. I sat out at the window and didn't really notice the decor or ambience but the food was first rate and very reasonable in price.

We called in on Thursday however the restaurant was full. As a result we decided to book for Saturday and phoned the reservation through. Upon arrival there was no record of the booking. The lady seating us was really good and told us we could have a table, but did query if we had called the correct location. Whilst waiting, what we can only presume was the manager and a waitress were discussing the booking and said that people are always saying they booked in and had not done so, effectively calling us liars. We were seated and had a great meal, but felt it necessary to show the waitress in question our call history. Whilst the 2 minute call could not prove we actually booked, it does go some way in demonstrating we did call the correct restaurant and hopefully the kind lady seating us would not be punished! The food was very good that said and the massive range of beer fantastic. We would have scored a 5 had we have been believed.

I don't think I've given a restaurant this poor of a rating before. Sorry. The waitress was very pretentious and interrupted me when I had questions. I have a crazy stomach, and she told me they could not delete an item from a salad that would upset it. Everything else looked like it would upset it since they would not omit or substitute items. My husband's veggie burger looked absolutely beautiful and perfect, but he said it was not that good, and he did not finish it. In all fairness, I don't know if the waitress' demeanor ruined his appetite. I really hope the waitress was just having a bad day, or that it was just us. The woodwork in the restaurant was beautiful, and it seemed like it could be a really neat place.

Came here because it was close to our hotel and we wanted a burger. It was happy hour so our fabulous burger was half off. We would have paid full price they were so very very good. This is THE place to come if you are in Hollywood and want a great burger.

With so many draft beers on offer, you are really spoilt for choice. And the burgers are excellent, too!!!

Service excellent.....food was amazing! I had the goombah burger and boyfriend had the truffle shuffle. Both were delicious. Onion rings and fries fresh and not your every day kind of fries. Pair with a good brew brings it all togther.

After visiting the Stout in Santa Monica a couple of times, it was hard to pass up the opportunity to go to this one whilst based in Hollywood. Again, really good burgers and beer selections - love the loaded fries with bacon and cheese. If you're in the area and after a good burger, this place is a must. Service also very good, with friendly staff.

I ordered the Stout burger, they asked how I wanted it cooked, left it at Medium rare. they brought it with Bacon, which i asked to be taken off / make me a new one since i dont eat Bacon. I thought the burger was a big raw... it did taste good the parts which were cooked properly. The Onion ring was really good...

I love the combined indoor/outdoor setting. The menu has excellent and unique burgers and the sweet potato fries are just that-sweet and crunchy! Try the Indian-inspired burger, "Bollywood"! The selection of beers is awesome. Service was great too! Never a let down when I come. Oh... and they are open til 4 am!!!!

Best burger I’ve had in awhile. Cheddar burger on brioche was amazing. Perfect early lunch . Rob our server was friendly and had great recommendations!

The burgers are out of the world! I have tried two and loved both. The fries are excellent and so are the onion rings. I would go back any chance I get and have recommended it to others. They take the humble burger to new heights!

I would love to give my cheeseburger an excellent review but I can’t. It was kind of dry and crumbly. I was expecting a big juicy burger. My guess is it is the lack of fat. Too lean beef used but hey, supposed to be gourmet. Not my thing. Also fries were $5 add-on. Also discouraging. Loved the atmosphere and staff though!

My friend who is now a local brought me here to catch up. The burger was amazing! I will be thinking about it for a long time. The bun was delicious and the burger patty was thick and very juicy. It had a very good aioli sauce. Love this place and plan on coming back in a few years!

As most have said this place has a great combination of burgers and beers. Service was outstanding with four different servers checking in on us constantly and the food options were very strong. Rotating beer list of many locals brews. Will be back!

Loved loved loved this place - food was excellent, staff were outstanding and drinks were cold!! Our first family trip to LA and we all couldn’t rate this place any higher. Casual dining, perfect for family chats and fun!

I only came in for a beer while I was waiting for my reservation for the Immersive Van Gogh Experience in the area. Sat up at the bar and enjoyed a 16 oz Mumford Healthy 3.5%, Good atmosphere and friendly service.

Stumbled upon Stout while in LA for college visits. The service and friendliness of the all the employees was fabulous. The food was outstanding and I would say get the tots..they were great (crispy on the outside and like mashed potatoes on the inside)! It was a great find.

I love coming here for burgers and beers before or after going to the Arclight Hollywood. It's right across the street and takes about 3-4 minutes to walk from one place to the other. This is a casual, loud place that's lively even late at night. If you are a real beer aficionado, it's one of the best mainstream, accessible places to come for a wide selection of beers, from the ever popular IPAs (I'm not a fan) to stouts and porters (which I adore), there's something for everyone. They even have ciders and barleywine. The Stout Burger and The Morning After are my favorite burgers. They don't do substitutions, but they will serve the burgers on lettuce if you are foregoing the carbs from buns. I have never had a bad experience here with service or the food/beer. I highly recommend it.

We were looking for a good old burger to end our time in LA before we road tripped it to Vegas and came across it by accident. The trendy bar is nestled close to the Hollywood Walk of fame in a not so very nice area but staff were lovely. I ordered the skinny bunless burger which was nice and home-made but I thought the patty was a little over-cooked. My boyfriend was in heaven as he loves ales and stout but if you're not a big ale drinker there aren't many beers or lagers on options which could be improved. Also you weren't allowed to add anything to your burgers, you could take away but not add which I think is just silly and they could totally cash in on that! But good burger joint if you're in the area - also opened 24 hours! Crazy!

Oh how I love this place! This is definitely one of the best burger spots you can go to in LA. The Cali Fresh veggie burger is mouthwatering, and even though I could probably get away with just eating half of it I always put it away. No substitutions here, which doesn't really bother me. But it's just not a build-your-own-burger kinda place. It can get busy here on a Friday or Saturday night, so get here before 7pm for less of a wait. Worth the wait though ;) ps get the cheese fries. You're welcome.

The beer is great! And the burgers were good too. But after drinking a little beer here, who cares about the burgers! Good music, good waiters, great beer and good food. Really nice place.

Wide choice of burgers, with vegan alternatives or with chicken. Service quite fast, maybe a little too much. Asking if you want more or possibly bring the bill directly when you are still eating would definitely avoid it. Beyond that, good sandwiches, great chips, great choice of beer (for those who drink).

The tiny, loud space is well utilized, with really cool beer bottle chandeliers. The burgers are solid, and the a la carte sweet potato fries very well done and plentiful. A very clean place with friendly, knowledgeable servers.

We were looking for something good in the Hollywood area and found Stout. Very friendly staff and very tasty food! You can come back here anytime

While walking near 3rd street Promenade just happened to see Stouts and was hungry for a burger. Nice selection of gourmet burgers. They do not allow substitutions but will allow you the option to delete toppings. Your cooking options are pink or no pink. We picked no pink and they came out excellent. Possibly the best tasting burger we have ever had. The waitress was very helpful in guiding us to the burger she felt we would like and she hit it on the nose. There is also a large beer selection. You have a choice of indoor or outdoor dining. We picked outdoor because most all tables had shade.

Delicious burgers and draft beers. It is a different place for the area, a few steps from the promenade of fame, if you are there it is worth visiting. It's an informal type place Tavern but the staff is very good, friendly and efficient. Burgers are served alone but for an additional cost you can include tots, chips or sweet potatoes that were delicious, we tried all three options. It has parking but it is paid for separately and if you can not stand in the surrounding area, they have a good selection of beers, certainly delicious burgers worth trying.

These burgers are to die for. The drink menu is also pretty amazing. And our service was top notch. We at here late, two nights in a row, it was THAT good.

Found this place by accident on my last trip to LA. Will most certainly be returning. Great chill vibe and decor. I had the Bourbon BBL Ale, very definite bourbon flavor. Great beer loved it, different that anything I have ever had. For eats I had the Slow and Low chicken burger, awesome! Note all burgers are served alone, sides are extra. I was disappointed when I realized this at first, but I was just fine with the beer and burger. Burgers are good sized, on amazing home made buns!

It was nice to get a couple blocks off the Hollywood strip for a little quieter place. Great burger and good beers.

Arriving rather late with young kids in this happing burger restaurant was a gamble but turned our great. The bartender offered us a beer tasting of local beers while waiting for our highly acclaimed burgers. We had the truffle burger: excellent! The kids shared a plain one but could have eaten one burger a head. Delicious and on our list of fav burger places world wide!

We decided to have lunch after good reviews here. No doubts the food was great. Having said that at $13+tax this was the most expensive burger we have had. All together our meal consisted of a quinoa and green salad two burgers one seving sweet potatoe fries and a small glass of wine cost just over $67 with tax and tip, which we thought was a bit over the top in price. Another thing we found was there were no prices on the menu.

I had the veggie burger and was very underwhelmed. I'm sure the other burgers are good. The place is adorable to be sure. Worth checking out if you're into burgers.

Went for the original stout burger. This was amazing - horseradish sauce was a great addition as it gave the burger a wasabi sting. - not for someone who doesn't like wasabi like my friend. This is one of the juiciest patties I've had. Would choose this burger joint over umami any day of the week. Beer selection is great with many favorite IPA's and craft beers on tap. Beer notes are on the menu so you can match the meal well. Chips: this is what loses one star. While I realize they are just an accompaniment the chips just felt a little on the soggy side and were lacking a crispy crunch. Good thing the burgers were great!

I was recommended this restaurant by several different people before going myself and I must admit I didn't quite understand the appeal from first glance but the food is definitely worth the rep. The staff were affable and got my friend and I seated quickly (the bar was busy but the restaurant relatively quiet 8pm on a Monday). I order a Cali Fresh - a veggie option with a wholewheat bun, thousand island sauce and sweet potato fries. It's one of the few non-Quorn/Soy Veggie burgers I've ever really enjoyed! Our waitress recommended a pale ale to go with it and while I'm not normally an ale/beer girl this was actually pretty tasty - those waitress know their stuff. Do recommend a visit if you're looking for a reliably good burger & beer in Hollywood.

While tool'n around Hollywood with the family my wife was struck with a desire for a hamburger. Looked up this place on TripAdvisor and decided to walk over and give it a try. Glad we did. The burgers are all made fresh and they offer a unique twist on the everyday burger. Their deal is they will take anything away from the different burger options available but they will not add anything. So if you just want bacon cheese burger, you order the Morning After Burger and ask them to remove (or but on the side) the egg that comes with it. Food was really really good and the atmosphere was very open and hip. The restaurant is designed to be very open and feel like you are sitting on a patio, perfect for the SoCal weather. Service was spot and fast and the beers were great. Found another one on Ventura Boulevard and will be visiting this one too.

We ate there twice in a week and had the same burgers. They were excellent the first time, and just good the second time: much less blue cheese, meat overdone. All in all, I still prefer The Counter and they have a kids menu. Stout is clearly above catering for children: no substitutions, no kids menu. It is a hamburger joint, not a fancy restaurant on Abbott Kinney.... And bring a coat in winter...

Really good burgers with lots of choice. Good selections of beers and great service. Great side portion sizes, one is plenty between two people. Worth a visit if you're in the Universal area/ North Hollywood

This brew pub is a bit noisy, so be prepared to speak loudly to be heard. Stout burger was good, not great. Wait staff was really friendly and attentive. The food took a while to come out. It’s a good neighborhood place to get a burger and drink and prices are fair.

Small, intimate. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Huge number of local beers on tap. Food was fresh and tasted great. Definitely coming back, wish they had longer hours.

Had a burger and beer X 2 here just before heading back to AU. Really good! 😁 Burger actually tasted like real food, nice to sit outsideish watching world go by on a sunny LA day!

We were in a group of six with a baby. They were very accommodating. The food was wonderful! The burgers were some of the best we've ever had. Pink in the middle and oh so juicy. I had the goombah burger - DELISH!! Sweet potato fries were great too.

We did not book it, just turned in hoping for good beer and tasty burgers. And that's what we got! Even my daughter who is a vegetarian found a tasty burger to eat! Ask for the fries and onion rings as well, they are lovely.

Good service with average burgers for the price. Also, when you order a $14 burger, you should at least get a side of fries or something with it. The service was good, the beer was good and the atmosphere was good as well. Just feel like it's a bit overpriced for what you get.

Another top destination on my list whilst in Hollywood area and worth the drive, the burgers are amazing and a must for the beer drinkers who love real burgers all made fresh and draft beers from around the world. Great staff, super friendly, 3 locations in Cali, a good vibe and one of the best burgers ever, the truffle burger... To die for with a cold pilsner. Amazing every time and always consistent quality and taste.

First time at this place. Saw a YouTube video and decided to check it out. Nice vibe and very friendly staff (shout out to Iliana). Burgers amazing! Thick, juicy all American meat (we ordered the Stout Burger and the morning after) and the loaded tots (not on the menu for some reason) and they have a long list of great beers to choose from. I heard they have Happy Hour!! We Will totally back to try out the other burgers and beer.

My husband and I came here on a bit of a whim. We were looking for a place to eat with a good atmosphere and we sure found it here. The staff were friendly and efficient. The range of beers are good and are seasonal. We opted for the quinoa burgers off of the menu and we're pleasantly surprised at how good they were. The bar has a trendy feel about it but without trying to hard which makes it easy to feel relaxed. Would definitely visit again to sample some more of the craft beers.

Top Burgers and chips, and loads of beers to choose from. Not great if you don't like this menu. Cool trendy place, attentive service and fairly quick turnover, didnt wait long for a table. If bland weak tasteless commodity beer is your thing, this not for you.

Menu is just salad and burgers. Nice beef burger options. Chicken burger are just grilled, none fried. Burgers are good. Since we wanted also a fried chicken burger, they were able to come up with a kids menu, which was very good also. Price range is a little higher than a normal burger joint, but the burgers are superior so it’s worth it. Nice open and fresh room with no windows to the street. Plenty of beer options. But we didn’t have any.

If you're in LA and near here, stop in for great food and an outstanding beer list. You will not be disappointed. Alex behind the bar is great with his focus on the client and knowledge of the food and drink list. Everyone we met that worked here was super friendly. I'll definitely be back on any future trips to LA.

The meat is fresh, great quality and cooked to perfection. I love a good juicy burger and this joint provides all the elements and good beer too! I enjoyed the open air and space was setup for comfort and Covid protocol. I will defiantly be back with friends!

We visited this place for lunch with family after it came highly recommended. Seriously so glad we did! The burgers are phenomenal and the service was on point! The beer selections are good as well, I enjoyed trying the local brews. If you are visiting the Hollywood area you owe it to yourself to eat here!

If you love your meat, then this is the place for a cold one and a meaty tasting burger. One of my go to burger places. love this place

Hostess was snotty and condescending in determining how to seat our large group. Burgers were decent, but they messed up the order. Should've gone to Umami Burger.

I wish I knew why they tasted so good, but I don'. The flavor is beyond words. They are tender, juicy, savory, flavorful, yummy, delicious....and all those words I do not know. I have been a regular here for 6 years with a reason. I know the staff there and they really work hard to see you enjoy your food, drink, meeting, date, or the after hours hunger you get from too many drinks. ( have been told a few patronstories by them) If you are not sure of what beer? ask? The bartenders can pour you something you may like or try a small shot sampler before you buy. The prices are reasonable for Hollywood. This is not a fast food burger. The plain burgers on brioche buns, with your choice of cheese, an egg, sauces, or specialty burger I believe you will enjoy. The place is usually busy everyday all day from opening til 4 am. Yes, they are open later than most places. They have a few other choices for food, the onion rings are perfect everytime, the sweet potatoe fries are amazing, and have a few choices for just a salad if you are a rabbit or herbivore only.

Stout is a consistent “go to” for us. Between their amazingly tasty food menu and diverse beer menu, you could come in weekly and have something different and delicious every time. ==> Did you know...you can ask for some tastings off their beer menu to help you find that perfect drink? If at first the prices seem too steep for you, consider going to their happy hour M-F to get 50% off all food. It’s a steal for the gourmet food you get. Our best picks for food that amaze everyone we bring here: -The truffle burger -Beer battered onion rings -Bread Pudding dessert Give Stout a try. You won’t be disappointed!

The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The choice of drafts has gotten better and so have their signature burgers. All in all, a good choice and a regular stop for my daughter and i.

Service 10/10 Food: 10/10 Indoor and outdoor aitting nice idea!! clean 8/10 Music 9/10 Price 8/10 Total average 9/10 And Really pretty waitress nice smile and lovely comunication.

Had stout burger and can say it was one of the best in my life. Also would highly recommend fries with cheese. My friend had an issue of this burger to be too spice for him so he asked for a change which was done with no questions. The staff was very friendly as well. Also I would like to point out absolutely great music in this restaurant. Would love to visit it again

Delicious burger and our waitress was very attentive. She informed us on what to order. The beer is delicious and their desserts are awesome.

Craving a burger and this place is open for the vampires. You can get a gourmet burger here with delicious beer. I enjoyed the six-weeker. How delicious fig, carmelized onions and arugula go so well with meat. Definitely for carnivores. Don't bother eating here if you're vegetarian.

Blessed by the burger. These burgers are something else, one word; Magical. The beers are amazing too. Simply just a perfect place to get a burger.

A corner pub "near" Hollywood boulevard that has a lot of drafts and taps, especially Belgium ones! Great attending, nice prices!

While traveling, i'm always looking for the foodie experience that helps make my trip memorable. Stout is now one of those places. I was there solo on a Friday night. The place was packed, but a lot of effort went into getting me seated either at the bar or at a table. I got a bar seat within minutes. All their burgers come medium rare or medium. I understand that, but a chef's intentions have left me weary, so I almost always get my burgers medium well for a safety net (I do not like eating raw hamburger). I got a double ipa which was yummy. My Stout burger was excellent in every way. It wasn't too big and wasn't too small. Just right. One of my burger place peeves has been the practice of doing fries a-la-carte. I personally do not like that practice. Please just add a side of fries to your burger and raise the price to reflect this. It could have made this a five-star review, but alas, this practice prevented me from ordering a humongous side of fries, half of which I would never have finished. Also, my double ipa was a whopping $9. I don't mind that price if it had been served in a 16oz pint glass instead of a 12oz pilsner.

Was looking for good burger in Los Angeles and someone recommended Stout. When we got there the host was very unfriendly and wasn't willing to put us on the table we wanted (which was. Available and similar to the same she put us but in different position. We took Burgers and sweet potato fries and the food was amazing.what we didn't appreciate was the fact that even before we finished the food the waitress was already asking us if she can pick up the plates and give us the bill. needless to say we didn't finish the food when she did that. Go for the food don't go because of the service that's my bottom line

Looked for a place that was open after our event and this came up...so glad we stopped in, the Burgers were UNBELIEVABLE!

We called in here on our first night in LA, tired, hungry and looking to relax with a good burger and, for me, a couple of cold beers. We weren't disappointed. The waitress was very attentive, the place was full with a nice relaxing vibe. Great quality burgers (served pink or not) and a great selection of craft beers. Wife and kids loved this place too. If you like burgers and good beers this is the place for you. Loved it

We went here on a recommendation from friends, otherwise it's not a place I would have ever chosen on my own. It's nothing to look at and it was really open so we were cold. The waitress was super! We all liked our burgers and fries. They offer lots of quality cheeses (brie, gruyere, smoked mozz) and when they said "caramelized onions" they mean it - unlike many restaurants. Also the bacon was cooked so it wasn't fatty but perfectly chewy. The bun was a decent brioche. All our burgers were ordered pink and it was totally fine except one them was very drippy, probably a touch undercooked.

We arrived to Hollywood and struggled to find somewhere to eat on our first evening (that wasn’t fast food!) I had saw this on trip advisor and it wasn’t far from our hotel. Nice laid back atmosphere and good tasting burgers. Good service from the staff.

We stopped by after a matinee show at the Pantages. It was close enough to walk, although it looks like they have plenty of parking also. The burgers and fries were super flavorful and my the beer selection was good. Lani had several of the pale hoppy IPAs and was happy with the selection and the beers.

Well can't express much, but one of the best burgers I had in this life and probably the next :)... Beers were good as well fries... Everything is extremely good.

Excellent food and service, burgers are large and tasty service is good and quick, would recommend this place and good for families

PROS Service was perfect and place is very friendly and well located. Good park service, and price is awesome (50$ 2 people, we were full) Forgetting, FOOD IS DELICIOUS CONS Absolutely nothing Recommended place to get in for a burger. Suggested.

Overhead fans on a very hot day made for a comfortable breeze for lunch. The Stout Burger ($13) was yummy with cheese, bacon, onions and horseradish sauce. It's rather funny seeing a big burger on a white plate without a garnish. No frills. Very tasty sweet potato fries. My friend had the Brie and fig jam burger ($11) and also commented that it was yummy. Very casual environment.

Stumbled upon this place when making our way to Amoeba Music. There are a lot of beer options in this place, it almost made it too hard to decide on what to actually drink. The food is fantastic & everyone thoroughly enjoyed their burgers. I ordered a Morning After burger that comes with a runny egg. Perfect for making a tasty mess! The burgers are seasoned well and come with a good amount of sauce. Most burgers are cooked to medium-rare so you need to specify if you want it cooked longer. Fries are not included with burgers but a share plate certainly kept us all happy at the table. This place is good if you want to get off Hollywood Blvd, away from the hustle and bustle.

Read reviews and I love a burger in the USA and my hubby loves a craft beer so we went. The burgers melt in your mouth - not too big that they over face you - quality not quantity. I enjoyed mine and my hubby liked his. My daughter had a plain chicken burger. Pleasant staff - small venue but good value.

Third time we've been here (inc visits to the Santa Monica one) and the food has been consistently brilliant! Would recommend to anyone who loves a burger :) Beer selection is massive! You'll definitely find something you like here :)

Lovely place for drinks or a meal. Was made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Couple of taste testing to find right drink. Oh then a lesson on baseball. Returned to have a burger.. best ive had on our trip .. mushroom truffle yum yum 😋

Love everything on the menu here! Burgers, fries, and desserts!! So amazing we come all the time!! The prosciutto burger is outstanding and my wife loves the mushroom burger. The fries with the dipping sauces are spectacular!

The 6 weeker is the best burger you could ever taste. The restaurant is open until late so you can have a burger any time you want ! They are really good

Great open air setting and delicious food. Plenty of burger options for people who don’t want meat. They only serve beer and wine (and the wine selection is pretty small), so don’t go here if you want a cocktail. They’re a great option for a late dinner too because they’re open until 4 AM. Would definitely return.

Loved this little spot off Sunset Freddy was a great waiter. We had tater tots …. Yum and a great burger with a brioche bun and he had the bbq chicken sandwich. Delicious. Great selection of beers

Small place. Great beer menu. Waitress was helpful with suggested pairing. Caesar salad was nicely dressed. Fries were great. Had a bunless burger and it was delicious. Meat is very hardy and well seasoned. Nice place. Would recommend for a moderately priced meal in L.A.

It was late afternoon, early evening and we wanted a place to view the Monday night football game. Given how open this venue is (wide doors open to a large patio area), it fit the bill. We sat at the end of the bar after passing vaccination inspection. We were happy to see the staff was checking everyone as they entered. If you had hopes of getting anything other than a beer or burger, you are out of luck. Sure, there are a couple of chicken sandwiches. Yes, there are some salads and fries and tater tots. But other than five not-so-great wines, all you get is burgers and beer. I am happy to say the burgers are good, the beer is cold and the service was impeccable.

I have been coming to Stout on Selma for about 3 years now and love it every time. This last visit was over the top thanks to Alex the bartender. His positive attitude and knowledge of food/drinks coupled with being cool under pressure of a dinner rush was amazing. If you have the chance skip the tables and sit at the bar with Alex, you will not be disappointed !

While the flavors of the burgers we had were fairly mild, the quality of the beef was very good. They had a large number of beers on tap, but when we were there most of them were cask conditioned, meaning high alcohol and small glasses. Wish they'd had more variety of IPAs.

They have a limited menu and won't add anything to their burgers, such as lettuce or tomatoes, etc., but the burgers are excellent. They also have a very good beer selection, but not all beers listed are on hand. That's why I downgraded them from excellent. 2 burgers, one shared fries and 2 beers: $70, with tip!

This place was small but had great atmosphere and crowd. Burgers were delicious. Most of the patrons seemed to be there for the cocktails and bar menu. I had children with me so I was in and out...got food to go. If you have kids may want to visit during daytime because after dark has more of a party clientele. Burgers were pricey but one if the best I've ever enjoyed.

Recommended by business associate. This place has the most delicious hamburgers I have ever eaten anywhere. We had to eat lunch twice here. Our only regret was that we were unable to make happy hour during our visit. This is when the food is half price. What a bargain!!!!

Whilest the burger lived up to the promised standard, the sides (fries)and the service really fell short of expectations

I try to visit Stout every trip to LA. This location is a block from Hollywood Blvd and close to The W Hotel in Hollywood. Good selection of draft beers and a small, but good wine selection, the best is part of Stout are the burgers. Again a small selection but very very very good, cooked perfectly always. The truffle burger is amazing. If your in the area just go, you will not be disappointed. It's a cool place no chilled vibe, it's a trendy bar serving amazing burgers. 10/10

This restaurant had great burgers and a central Hollywood location that made it a great lunch spot for our whole group!

Great burgers, quick service. The parking lot is a bit of a situation but we Uber’d and that made it easy. Such a great find!

Stopped here for a couple of drinks. Really great service, huge selection of beers, great atmosphere. Good to get off the main strip. Would revisit.

Perfectly done Goombah Burger, quinoa salad -- and a 4PM half-off happy hour -- what's not to love? Look for Big Wangs mini-mall and you've found it. Apparently there's beer too, but I was there strictly for food which was stellar

Went here with family and we all had a different burger. The service was attentive and the burgers were pretty, pretty, good. Nice selection of beer too.

An alright local joint that serves up a broad assortment of beers, on tap or bottle. I would say that this is the main attraction. While their burgers are fine, they afe nothing out of the ordinary. I’d go again for a quick meal after a long day. For a meal to discuss business I would not.

We visited here tonight and the service was great, we tried a few beers and were constantly topped up with plenty of water too which was lovely after a very long day! The burgers were great cooked fresh and one of the best burgers I’ve ever had (not normally a burger fan) also the loaded tots and onion rings were delicious. One of the best meals I’ve eaten whilst visiting Santa Monica and would highly recommend.

Sensational sports bar with horny burgers and great selection of beers. Great service, great decor. Just all top. Heavenly brownie for dessert!!!

I have been there two times and always I have enjoyed tasting great hamburgers. Cool place and good service, I will come back soon!

We ate here September 17th and found the quality of the burgers to be the best we've experienced. One of those occasions in which TA is a great tool for locating a nearby restaurant that sells top quality food. The choice of beers was excellent, too. My wife had The Goombah and I chose The Stout Burger. A lively joint, with prompt service, no complaints at all, only praise.

I'm not a fan of burgers but I am of hoppy beer and I love love loved that beers were served in small glasses 4oz. Perfection. Good things about burgers included the brioche bun was not too sweet and not spoungey soft: the beef patties could be served pink or not pink and not pink was juicy: burgers were small and neat: I got the shu and it was tasty. What was bad about the burgers: no lettuce: no tomato: no red onion. But I'm thinking that is the point. They are crafting unique burgers and they work. Great sweet potato chips. Again a super clean toilet and excellent staff who knew their beers. Go there!

Four of us walked to this highly recommended place right after checking in at our Hotel. We ordered two of their popular Burgers – the Stout Burger and the Imperialist. The list of ingredients were so unusual for the typical Burgers – Blue Cheese, Emi Gruyere, Horseradish Cream, Aged Cheddar and Roasted Tomatoes. But, WOW! The end result was out of this world. The Bread was fresh, and the Meat was cooked exactly to our specifications. These were, by far, the best burgers we have had to date. The Onion Rings were fantastic, and the French Fries were, well, -- fries. The Beers and Drinks were cold and paired well with these huge burgers. The portions were very large, so we only ordered two Burgers between us to share. We were not that hungry, and the meal size turned out to be just right. The seating is outdoors, and therefore can get quite loud with the traffic and the people on the road. It is also a small place, so come early. Absolutely recommend this place for a casual dining experience. The personable and friendly staff will also make it worth your while. We will certainly return on our next visit to LA.

Possibly the best burger I’ve ever had, paired with a gorgeous ale, I would highly recommend this place. Small with big atmosphere, myself and hubby ate at the Hollywood location and thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place. I had the blue burger with a German Pilsner, could have stayed there and drank and ate all night Cheers!

Nice ambiance. Staff are friendly. Music is good. It serves amazing burgers. Stout and truffle shuffle are super. Loved the fries as well. Excellent service and affordable prices.

There are so many different burgers & beers to choose from that it kinda took me 15 minutes to choose and order lol. Quality of the food was good, service was excellent. Would come again :)

Well located, lively neighborhood, nice setting at the end of the day, the waiters are very attentive... 2 hearty burgers, 2 ice teas 52 dollars... The prices are not displayed, too bad. Tips imposed...when paying you have a choice to make....

We came in here as near hotel. The food looked great. We order loaded fries which are Devine. The burger was nice but the chicken Caesar salad wasn’t the best. A Pattie type chicken with sauce, very bland. Didn’t really taste like chicken.

It's Friday night, we wanted a burger not from a chain, but a specific one. Snd we loged "Mr.Americano" and "regular Stout "as well as the Chicken version, which did not disappoint us. Finishing with a 2times Brownie, which served all 5 of us, the night was perfect.

Had the morning after burger..burger, fried egg, bacon..i can't think of a better burger I've ever had Nice vibe in general Worth the short walk from the tourist centre to get the much better food

So glad we stopped here after a long morning of sightseeing on Hollywood Blvd. I got the veggie burger and it was delicious. The beef and chicken choices were just as good my family raved, but it was the beer that was the show stealer. I got a CA IPA that was light, refreshing and just what the DR ordered. There were so many choices and styles of beer, local, from up and down the coast. We also got a basket of fries to share for the table (a la carte). This was a great little place for lunch and had a hip vibe, open air, friendly staff, was obv busy/popular and Im thrilled we fell upon it!

Tasty burgers and fries. The serving staff were friendly and nice. There is a large selection of beers to choose from. A good restaurant.

Great selection of beers mainly draft, great burgers and friendly staff. Good mood people. Will come back

Good burgers and drinks- laid back atmosphere, very casual - the place is small but great for a quick bite.

The food at happy hour was prepared perfectly and arrived promptly. Their service was very good and they allowed tastings of beers for the novice. I would or should I say will go therer again. Kudos to Stout.

Good place with great vibes and amazing staff. Came here late-ish for a feed. Patrick took great care of us! Very friendly made sure we didn’t miss out on anything because the kitchen was close to closing. Food was delish! Truffle aioli was amazing!

Stopped in here on the way to the Palladium for a gig. The beer was so good that I stopped in on the way back for another. Great range of beers, nice atmosphere, very friendly staff, Highly recommended.

A Umami branch is just around the corner, but honestly, Umamis are becoming ubiquitous as Mickey D's in LA's trendiest areas. While I would consider this gourmet burger due to the price, it was a decent lunch for me, especially when a place like this would be packed at night, and the bar was yet to be happening. The Stout burger was done well, just enough to fill one, though it is no Slater's 1/2 lb; the potato fries are a great compliment. I was also eyeing the Morning After with the egg, but went with this one because that was considered slightly spicier. Is it better than Father's Office? I'll need to come back and try the one with the egg.

Upon arrival I immediately liked the rock music playing at a good volume in an open type area with tables and bar seating. The staff was very responsive, bathrooms were nice. Only had craft beers so tried the blonde ale which was good. The food was amazing! I had the truffle shuffle burger with loaded fries which were divine. The brownie Sunday was good too but my sweat tooth is not so big. My daughter had the Mr. America burger and same fries which she also loved. The food will leave you wanting more!

Ordered the truffle shuffle burger and it tasted so nice, I could taste all the individual ingredients, we also had the cheese burger and that was good too and the loaded tots are a good addition too

Great burgers. Huge. Stout burger was more than I could finish. Ordered the seasoned fries good but more than we could eat.

Been to Stout several times and it never disappoints. The Truffle burger is my absolute fave, as it is always cooked to perfection (with just enough pink on the inside). The seasoned fries are the perfect touch as a side order and their craft (and local) beer menu is fabulous. The Hollywood location is one block away from the Hotel Cafe, a great little music gem in LA.

Best spot to grab a burger after partying in Hollywood. Phenomenal burgers, craft beers, amazing sweet potato fries, and a can't be beat bread pudding in a great atmosphere.

My buddy saw this on some tv show. Very good burgers, excellent beer and cider selections. Wait staff friendly though busy, good beer recommendations. Fries crispy and hot. Nice scenery too.

Met a friend before heading over to the Hotel Cafe to see another friend play music. I think it has one of the best burgers I've tasted in a long time in the Stout burger. You have a choice of pink or not pink and I thoroughly enjoyed the pink. The brioche bun was perfect. I also enjoyed their Milk Stout. There are several flavors for all different taste buds. And I highly recommend the Seasoned Fries- also one of the best I've tasted. Our server was so nice and friendly and stayed on top of things. Highly recommend making a visit. I'll stop in again.

The place is cool, but it was the first time that I ate a Cesar salad without chicken. Hey chef comes to my place and I will teach you how to prepare a real Cesar salad.

Great little bar located a short distance from the walk of fame/tourist area. It's not huge but still manages to feel spacious. We sat at the bar. The waitress was very busy but was still attentive and quickly got beers and food out to us. The beer selection as fantastic - something for everyone! I had the six weeker burger - it was fantastic! We also ordered a side of fries to compliment the burger. Also great! I would definitely come back.

I thought my burger was amazing. It wasn't too pricey either... I think 10 bucks or so? I had the morning after burger... it had rosemary bacon, an egg over easy, cheddar cheese and chipotle ketchup... it was dreamy! I also ordered the fries and beer battered onion rings. Very happy. I would definitely recommend.

6 of us stopped by for dinner on a Thursday night. Place was busy but we were able to be seated quickly. We sat in a booth with a really cool chandelier of beer bottles. The specialty is burgers and we they were delicious. I had mine done "skinny style' where they remove the bun and place the burger and toppings place on a bed of lettuce. They have a beer and wine license. Great place for a moderately priced dinner.

Good burgers ($13/each), and you need to purchase the fries separate ... this is not a cheap burger place. With that said, the burgers were good, the fries were good, and the pretzel was outstanding. They have a wide selection of beers, and a nice, casual atmosphere. They did charge us $10 to park.

Awesome burgers! Not your standard burger but really delicious finger-licking tasty good burgers. I am not a burgers fan (my sons are) but this place is really worth it! They also have a great selection of local and international beers that match with the burgers. The place is in a relaxed bar-like setting which makes it a nice to hang out in Hollywood.

One of the best burgers I've had, really amazing food and an endless selection of great beers! Would highly recommend!

Dropped in here as the original place we were intending to go didn’t look good. What a find, great vibe, great Beers, good wine list and Burgers were brilliant even the Vegi one for my wife. Very reasonable prices too. So pleased we found this place on our last night in LA 🇺🇸

Visited with a friend. Burger each, and shared a topped fries. All really delicious. Extra sauces tasty too! Yummy cider though we didn't rate the beer (summer solstice?). Shu burger especially tasty. Worth a visit.

We had appetizers of cheese fries and a giant soft pretzel (great dips). The draft beer was really good as were the burgers. Really good burgers. Great service.

Nice place. Service was very good and helpful. Unfortunately we waited nearly 1 hour to get our food. Burger was ok but nothing special.

We like a good hamburger patty and a good salad . This had both. Staff friendly. Would go again. Lots of interesting hamburger options too.

The breakfast burger is my favorite here. This is also a great place to catch a game or just people watching.

Fabulous burgers and great service. Really lovely bar and restaurant. Not a very big place so has a lovely vibe. Would recommend for a casual night out.

Great burgers, Great beers. What more could you want. Staff were helpful and knowledgable. Food was quick and delicious.

I saw other reviews talking of how bloody their burger was, but the hostess convinced me it wasn't a problem, so I ordered medium-rare. I should have ordered medium-well. I'm not opposed to pink, but my bun was soaked in bloody juice from the burger. Nice atmosphere, half-price food before 6, good beer and service.

If this what you are know for the item should be awesome but this was just ok. Beer selection excellent as well as the sweet potatoe fries.

Not a lot of elbow room at Stout, but the food and drink make up for it...some really good beers on tap.

We came here recently on a late sunday night after a long bus trip. We were literally starving so we just wanted to grab a bite and a drink. What we found was just amazing. Totally delicious burgers (CHEEEEESE!), a great variety of craft beers (try the lemon blood orange Lagunitas IPA!) and attentive staff. We will definately be back soon!

Cheap and cheerful food mainly burgers, best to go to when it's "Happy Hour" all food is half price!

Stopped in to see my nephew while in LA. Loved it. Best burger I've ever eaten and while I have no idea what beer I drink it was really good. I took off one star for the side. I thought the sweet potatoes fries were cold and lacking, the regular dries were ok and the onion rings were good. Definitely a treat we wouldn't have found without a local to guide us.

Stout is my favorite burger place! Everything about this place is awesome: the food (!!), the prices, the atmosphere, the hours and the staff. My go-to is the Morning After- protein-style (on a bed of arugula) with Seasoned Fries. And for dessert I love the Bread Pudding which comes complete with vanilla ice cream. I take all of my friends here and turn them all into Stout converts!
try the onion rings!
burgers with tasty beef, an excellent selection of draft beer, what’s not to like. i preferred the classic mr america than the six weeker (lots of fig jam, too much on the sugary side). but the best was the onion rings, probably the best of my life.
