I question whether I was at the same restaurant as some of the other reviewers. My party of 3 ordered the Specialty Platter to share. I want to try the soup and salad (bean soup & greek salad). Everything we order was freshly made and tasted absolutely fantastic. The service was excellent. We will definitely be going back, again.

We went for a Greek meal and ended up at a Latin Night Club. So.....just be aware if you are going here for a quiet meal. The drinks were fine, the food was ok, service was so-so ( we had to ask for more water and to get our bill). It was fairly empty when we arrived and very chill atmosphere... even though I was surprised to see a huge band area, a vip area, DJ, dance floor, lots of seating and a long bar with bar stools. Maybe it's a Thursday night thing but around 8 p.m. the music got cranked up. It was Latin music... which is fine! We were just confused. Being from out of town and reading the reviews we just assumed it would be Greek restaurant with Greek music. If clubbing is your thing, then it looked like a fun place for that!

We went this past Sunday and they do have a brunch. However, we decided to stick with traditional Greek fare. We got two different dishes and shared and enjoyed them very much. They told us they have belly dancing shows several times an evening on Friday and Saturday nights. No extra charge. We also tried the Greek donut dessert and it was very good. Looking forward to returning again sometime.

The Stratos Specialty Platter for Two gave us a well rounded, reasonably priced, taste of what Stratos has to offer. Every item was delicious, with a more than ample amount of food- they should call it a platter for four. We were pleasantly surprised when Serina, the belly dancer, entered with a beautiful costume and invited anyone, including children, to an impromptu belly dancing lesson on the tables, in fact, dancing on the tables was encouraged. Later she danced balancing a massive sword on her head. Good food and a good show made for a lovely evening. Opa!

If you are wanting good Greek food, do not even step foot in this horrid place. Simple Greek dishes like Spanakopita, Chicken Souvlaki, Moussaka and even the chicken wings my son got were absolutely horrible!! The chicken on all dishes was of extremely poor quality and full of fat and grizzle. One piece was still pink!! The Spanakopita seemed like it had been made a week before and reheated in the microwave at least 2 times before. The house Greek white wine was nasty. The Belly Dancer had on a very cheap costume and was not into it at all. Her moves were that of a novice student. The menu is also full of Mexican food and caters to a rough crowd! We saw a drug deal go down at the bar! If you want good Greek food go to Kostas Cafe or Zizikis.

My wife and I went to this restaurant at the recommendation of our hotel manager. The food was outstanding and the entertainment included greek dancing and music. A belly dancer was also on hand and was most enjoyable to watch. The only complaint I had was our waiter was very slow and only checked on us twice during our 1.5 hours in the restaurant. Other than that, I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good time and great food.

We were there at 3:00pm, which is too early in the day for belly-dancing. A looped-video showed what we'd be missing. Ordered gyros on saffron rice (hold the pita bread because I am gluten-free) and it was tender and flavorful. The cucumber, yogurt, garlic sauce was yummy. Portions are large. Service was friendly. They did not have a gluten-free menu, but the friendly waitress assisted me to find something safe. The bar area was busy. They have screens everywhere with sports shows or videos showing beautiful Greece.

Went for dinner prior to flying out of Love Field early in the morning. I order the Gyro with all the fixings and fries, and my girlfriend ordered a Gyro combo with the Greek salad. As usual, the food was great and the waitress explained that we were there on Tuesday which meant the drinks were half price....so we added 2 frozen margaritas to our order. We followed up the meal by splitting a delicious Baklava for desert. Margaritas were very good and the Gyros are the best in the Dallas area !

This use to be one of the best Greek restaurants in Texas it has fallen. Not a single Greek beer on the menu that's actually in stock. We started with octopus which was decent but greasy. Wife had sultans plate which is a choice of 2 kabobs. One was order medium it came past well done, the pork one was cooked till it was dry. I had a gyro plate and a order of falafel. The gyro meat was decent but the pita was wet from grease. The falafel is by far the worst I've ever had. It was grainy, flattened like a burger and pan fried cause it was burnt on one side. Service was awful, girl kept spilling out drinks as she brought them over because she didn't like service trays. Had to ask for silver wear even after food was brought over. $140 later it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time.

Great food, great mediterranean wine, great belly dancers, great folk dancing. . .Opa, Yazoo!, great FUN!!

So this is not your ordinary bland, neutral corporate restaurant. Inside and out looks like a exotic dance hall bar and the stage with the weekend belly dancers keep with the theme. There is an inviting enclosed front patio perfect for the moderate weather seasons like Spring and Fall. Arrived at 4:30pm yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed the $3 happy hour margaritas...oh yeah. Yamas! Their food is pretty good, just needs a bit more salt and double the garlic....in my humble foodie opinion.

By far the best Greek place I've ever been too. The atmosphere is fun, lively and food is seriously to die for. Lots of OPA shouting and flying napkins when the owner Nick finds out there is a celebration of some kind in the restuarant. And don't be surprised if you get roped into belly dancing or dancing on top of a table with a belly dancer. That is part of the fun. Definitely have the Flaming Saganaki (burning cheese). YUM!

12 years ago this area was still really rough, and that is when Stratos Greek Taverna opened. The food is good. The owner is darling. The service is good unless you have a slow eater, and they're trying to snatch away the empty plates on the table... tsk tsk. I like the layout of the restaurant. You can keep an eye on a screen or lots of other people easily from just about any spot, and there a lot of intimate little hidey holes, as well. Keep an eye on your purse and lock the car doors any time of day or night in this neighborhood. We've been twice, each time was mid-afternoon on a Sunday. It's a kooky, affordable place with good food and a fun atmosphere, and we'll be back.

We wanted to try something new and decided on Stratos. It was a 45 min drive for us but well worth it. I was very excited to see the belly dancers. Once we got there I went in to get a table and the greeter asked if I had made a reservation, didn't know we needed to so of course I hadn't, he said it was no problem and took us to a table. The food was pricey, average plate around $15, but everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I also ordered a frozen raspberry margarita which was $6 but at least you could taste the alcohol in it unlike most places. It was not too noisy and we all enjoyed the atmosphere. I would have rated it a 5 but the belly dancer never came to our area and it was very hard to see her. I had to go stand by where she was and wave her up to us but that just led her bringing me to the tabletop she was dancing on and dancing with her. I was very fun and a great experience. I suggest you make reservations and get a good seat. Worth the drive and money and will be going back

We went here for dinner one night while in town. This is our third time trying Greek and the best we've had even though we discovered we aren't huge fans of Greek. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. They helped recommend food and drinks to try. Only complaint is the music is turned up a little loud to allow conversations. The entertainer was the violin guy who was great.

When you first walk in, you will probably notice a fairly big crowd and friendly staff. The tables and chairs are nothing fancy...a lot like something you would see at a banquet. They have a decent little patio area with fans. We ordered some drinks to start, a mojito and a passion fruit margarita. The drinks were strong, but tasty. They are $9 a pop, so keep that in mind. We also ordered the Flaming Saganaki and Tirokafteri for appetizers. The flaming Saganaki was enough for two people however, the Tirokafteri could easily go for 6 people. I was a huge fan of the Tirokafter which was a spicy greek feta spread. It was robust and plenty spicy :) My friends and I ordered the grilled octopus and the steak kabobs to split. They were both great and I was highly impressed with the octopus. I think even if you do not generally eat it, you may like it here. (at least that was the case for me) It was full of flavor and not the least bit chewy. The side of potatoes and veggies were also jam packed with flavor sending your taste buds soaring. I also ordered a peach margarita which was my favorite of the two I tried. It has a very nice, refreshing taste. The belly dancing was cool as well as the plate breaking tradition. I think this is a great little find for the area...even though it's not super little :P If you like Greek food at all, you must try this place. Excellent service and excellent food.

I love going to this restaurant when I'm in Dallas. The food is amazingly good, and the entertainment is top-notch. The belly-dancers put on great shows and encourage audience participation by inviting diners to dance ON THE TABLES. The staff will "make it rain" using napkins, and by the end of the night, the place is a hot mess. It's fantastic. The only downside is that if you aren't with a large group (celebrating a birthday or something), the staff is a little bit elusive. Not cool.

I completely agree with another reviewer who recently described Stratos as a "strange place". My exact words when we left! We went on a Saturday evening around 6:00pm and were worried it would be busy. The small parking lot wasn't very full, so we were happy, but should have taken it as a sign. The outside of the building itself is the coolest part - reminded me of some of the ornate, blue buildings we saw when we were in Greece a few years ago. A stark, pretty contrast to the surrounding area. As soon as you walk inside, everything changes. The place seems half VFW hall, half 80's dance club. The tables and chairs remind me of the kind you can rent for large parties. A small stage and dance floor are there for live music and there are TVs scattered around. There is a small area in the back that looks almost like a "VIP" area for dance clubs - you can't see all the way in. There is a large bar area that covers almost one full wall of the place. There were only 2 other tables seated when we went in. The menu is where it got good again. Plenty of traditional Greek fare to choose from, although the prices did seem quite a bit higher than I expected. We went with the dip sampler and the sampler platter so we could try a little bit of everything. The dips were all great - the spicy feta dip our favorite. The main platter had 3 or 4 mini servings of everything - lamb chops, shrimp, dolmades, moussaka, spanakopita, etc. All were basically average. It also had a huge pile of tasteless sauteed veggies in the middle. For over $50, we we not impressed. Back to the strange - I guess in preparation for what might turn into a busy night, I think I counted about a dozen or so employees in the front of house. Many were standing around near the front door talking because it was so slow. The girls were all dressed in black - super short skirts (seeing some "cheek" was not appreciated by me, my husband or my 4 year old) and tight fitting or sheer tops. The men looked more appropriate in black dress shirts and pants. And I think it speaks to the authenticity of an ethnic restaurant when you see people who fit the style of food. This restaurant apparently does not employ its own family, assuming the ownership is Greek. Overall, the food was average, the service was average and the price was well over average. We happened across another Greek place in a shopping center in Plano that we love - fantastic food, great prices and you feel like one of the family with the service you receive. That's where we'll go from now on!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this family owned Greek restaurant! We both agreed that between the Saturday night entertainment and the food, we were extremely happy with our random choice of restaurant. I personally would recommend the flaming cheese, made in house, and the variety platter for two! We did not come close to finishing the platter, but the flavors popped and woke up my taste buds!!!!! I HIGHLY, recommend this restaurant for someone who has never tried Greek food before...We have had Greek before...This place was AWESOME!

Wonderful atmosphere and the waiters are attentive. Our dance group showed up and we danced until the belly dance troup came out. The Macedonian and Greek wines were an excellent choice for the wonderful meals. I only heard praises for the place from the others. Two Opas up.

We were greeted at the door with a smile and shown immediately to a table. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I never felt rushed to place my order. Very quick service. The food was out of this world. The best Greek food I have had in the states. Very good portions for the price. I will definitely eat there again the next time I am in Dallas. You won't be sorry if you eat here.

Great place for a couples night out. Amazing food , great happy hour, hookas on the patio and belly dancers! The servers will teach you how to dance the famous Greek dance and throw papers in the air during the dance . Overall great experience will be back !

I had never had their food so I was hesitant to order...but it was sooooo worth it. Very delicious and fresh. I will get again.

Great service and food at this place! We loved the bellydancer and the manager was extremely nice! Wonderful experience!

It's not the most authentic rendition of Greek cuisine I have eaten but the hearty portions and well flavoured dishes are very good vfm and the octopuss and gyro are good examples. A lively way to spend an evening eating good 'Greek - ish' grub in a really friendly setting and have an enjoyable time with the option to join in with the dancing on offer!

We went on a busy Friday night with a restaurant.com certificate. We had reservations so were seated promptly. Let's start with the only reason to come here: Entertainment. And it's not all about the belly dancers. If you want to see drunk women in their 4" heels teetering on tabletops while trying to pretend they can keep up with the belly dancer, this place is for you. Also, be prepared for nonstop noise. Don't try to come here for quiet conversations. Now for the food. Alcohol would've helped. Everything came out very quickly, which is never a good sign. For appetizers we ordered Flaming Saganaki, Tzatziki & pita, and Octapothi Krasato. The flaming cheese was ok (I ordered it more for show), and the tzatziki was decent, but nothing better than you would get prepackaged in a supermarket. But ah... the octopus....was horrific. I wasn't even sure what it was until my husband said what he ordered. The texture was definitely something that had not only been frozen, but frozen for a very long time. For dinner we had the lamb souvlaki and rack of lamb. Both were served with lackluster rice and veggies. My rack of lamb (4 lamb chops) were ok. Cooked the way I ordered (medium rare) but were fairly flavorless. They were served with a cup of what I could swear was Heinz bottled brown gravy. Weird. My husband's souvlaki came with a cup of some cream gravy that possibly was in the room with a lemon. Once my husband squeezed his entire lemon into it, it was fine. But still...weird. Our friend ordered the moussaka, which she said wasn't any better than "just ok". If this is "good" Greek food, I don't want the bad stuff. Meanwhile the entertainment was getting drunker. For dessert we had the "home-made" baklava and galaktabouriko. Both seemed almost as old as that octopus. I didn't think I would ever need a knife with a custard dessert, but there you have it. The flavor was good though. We still had a wonderful time. The service and general attitude of the staff was great. Fabulous people watching. Thankfully we had that coupon, but it was still overpriced for food that I seriously doubted was made on premises. Or if it was, it was cooked days ago.

We used a groupon to try out the restaurant. It has a great ambience and the food was really tasty. We had the chicken and regular gyros and the appetizer where they lit up the cheese with brandy? I can't remember the name. The belly dancer was a neat addition. They had the customers get up and dance all around the restaurant. It was sort of like going to a dinner theatre. If we ever crave Greek food again while in Dallas we will come back. The prices were ok. They were $10-13 for gyros but the nicer meals were higher priced.

I like Greece - I have property on Milos - Nick [the Greek] runs a Very Greek place. His son even translated a letter for me [English into Greek]. My previous boss and I went for Happy Hour every Wednesday - this past New Years I went with my Wife - it was NICE - the food preparation is GREEK - She really liked it also - GO THERE !!!!

The restaurant looks And feels like a night club. Tables weren't very clean the restaurant was empty just one other family. Food came out fast but was not authentic, wasn't bad but wasn't good. Would not return. Staff was friendly.

The Greek burger is the best. I stop by for lunch at least once a month. The service is good the staff is nice and the food is yummy. Their blacken chicken is really good in their salad. It's inexpensive and if you get dining miles they participate in the program for United. Not sure about other dining programs.

We quite enjoyed our lunch in this establishment. The decor was dark and intimate, but still felt like a family restaurant. Their saganaki - delish! We all got gyro wraps and they were perfect sized and tasted authentic. Prices very reasonable and our server was great. The extra bonus - they gave us "to go" drinks in styrofoam cups on the way out - perfect for a hot Dallas day. Definitely will come here again.

This place was really nice. We came with a group of friends and we had so much fun. There was a belly dancer and my friends loved joining in the fun. The food was really good and different. We ordered their special platter. Must go if you are around the area.

Greek food for the novice. The lamb is good.

Good Greek food with large portions. My husband and I both had the gyro sandwich which was great. Apparently the place turns into s disco after hours

Don't waste your time or money here. First and last time here. Food has no flavor of greek. Just because they sell gyros doesn't make your a greek resturant. Service is slow yet fast to take your plate away. MOST of its items are expensive. After spending 80 dollars for 3 people left the place still hungry. The belly dancers are old but pretty good, nothing greek about them. Didn't see one greek person in this place. They celebrate your birthday by throwing paper napkins into the air and their all over the place. Management takes no responsiblity if you slip and fall on the napkins. Place is really small and packed with tables. Defenitely not a place for kids. You can tell it's in a shady area by the bars on their doors and windows. My advise it to skip this place.

Best Greek Food EVER. I travel alot and have eaten in many greek restaurants and none if them compare to this one. It is authentic and very flavorful. I like that they have all the traditional dishes I love. The combination platter is the best one to get to try a little bit of everything. It is a big plate, easily 3 people can share it. Very worth the price. A must if you are in the Dallas area.

Whenever I go to Dallas, I insist on eating here! Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. I have tried almost everything on the menu. The Greek cheese fries are the absolute best. If you don't get them as an appetizer, request them as your side dish (for a small upcharge-definately worth it). They also have the best calamari around. They have 1/2 price dinners on Mon and Tues, and 1/2 price wines on Wed with $5 appetizers (check out their website for other offers). Although I have enjoyed many things off the menu, my favorite is the chicken gyro. They have very reasonable bar prices as well. They feature belly dancing Wed-Sat which is always a lot of fun. The owner is usually around, and it's nice to see the hands on approach. If you like Greek food (and even if you don't there's something for you), this is a MUST.

I am not a huge fan of Greek food but my husband is. For his birthday, I did some research to find a place that would not disappoint. I am so glad I picked this place. He was so happy. Everything from the ice cold beer mugs to the flaming cheese was incredible! The waitress was really friendly as well as helpful. This place won me over and will be one our favorites for special times ahead.

My husband and I have been to Strato's several times and we absolutely love it! It is a fun place and on the they have belly dancers during the evenings that are fun to watch. They play a lot of good music to dance to. They also a roof top patio that is great on nice evenings. The staff have always been very friendly every time we have been there. One of our favorite things to order just about every time we go are their Meat Lover's Gyro Plate, it is absolutely delicous! We always ask for extra Tzatziki sauce as well, that stuff is so good, we could honestly eat that all by itself! We have also tried the lamb there, which is fantastic as well as the Spanakopita Plate which is very good also! They usually have drink specials and they make very good margarita's there. We like it there so much, that we have introduced several of our friends and family to Strato's and they agree, it is a great place for fun, music and delicious food!

I've been to Stratos a few times for dinner. The food is definitely great. Their gyros and pitas are just fantastic. Last time I had the hummus and that was some of the best I've ever had. They have half price entrees on Mondays and some wine deals other days of the week, and you may find a groupon every now and again. With those deals the prices are great! The location is a bit sketchy right on Northwest Highway. It's convenient if you're in Oak Lawn or the Love Field area. The staff is friendly, many of the guys are sort of unpolished "bros". Our waitress was very nice, and she was good. Others in there are pleasant but definitely lacking some good communication and people skills. Again, not rude, just kind of off putting. The girls wear skimpy outfits and the guys wear all black, so that adds to kind of a weird vibe in there. All that being said, it's the food that is the main star so don't let the strange vibe in that place turn you off.

Went there on Saturday night, because we had heard about the entertainment. I called for reservations, and they said that the show started at 730 so we needed to make reservatioins for 7. When we arrived it was empty which worried us. At 730 we asked about the show and they said that they were starting latter. Apparently everybody else knew this except us. At 840 we finally left because we didn't want to be there all night. People finally started to show up at about 830. So apparently most people are aware of the latter start times. The food was ok, but I hate it when places advertise things and than don't deliver. If you go, make late reservations, and call before you leave to verify that they are going to have a show that night and what time it is going to be.

what a treat, haven't found better Greek food this side of Bayside Queens N.Y. great atmos. real frendly staff and prices that don't put you in hock love going there

Visited on a Sunday afternoon, and had the Meat Gyro platter. Not appetizing at all, basically very dry and overcooked (or recooked)

Stopped in on a Friday evening. Surprised there was A belly dancing show. Very loud music had I been with others too loud to talk. Very entertaining and enjoyable. I ordered the moussaka. It was beautiful but with no seasoning. Corrected with additional salt. Very ample portions and very reasonable price. I’m sure it was made with beef not lamb as I expected. In all a good meal. I’ll most likely try it again my next trip to Dallas

It was my first time in Plano and I went there for food. Had a burger and enjoyed it. Worth going although a bit far

While on vacation my wife and I decided to order take out while the kids ate left overs from previous restaurants. We were not disappointed with the food. Everything was cooked well. Service was good. We called our order in and had to just walk in and pick it up. It does seem to be an adult friendly place in terms of menu selections. We had no complaints with this place. It is not on the best side of town, do not let this stop you.

Excellent food, service, and good prices. Been here several times before, first review. I’ve had several of the dishes and all were great

On the way to Love Field, my daughter-in-law, my great-granddaughter, and I stopped here for a late lunch. Luckily, we had more than enough time because the restaurant had a large party they were serving when we arrived around 3 p.m. But the staff was very pleasant and apologetic for the delay and we were in no hurry. The menu has not only Greek food, but also quite a bit of Mexican food (they are located in a largely Hispanic area and so they cater to their neighbors, too!) We all ordered Greek food ( varieties of gyros) and were thrilled and amazed to see that one of the side-dish choices was FRIED OKRA, along with French fries, etc. When our food arrived, the portions were enormous, very fresh and hot, and worth the wait. The waitress checked on us frequently to be sure we had all we needed and was very courteous. We would definitely stop there for a meal whenever we are in the area again!

I've driven past it years and now I know what I've been missing. Great food and fun atmosphere. Highly recommend

Angel was our bartender and he was so awesome! He truly made our experience great! I work in downtown and I would definitely recommend this location to our guests! Great job Stratos!

Stratos has been a local favorite of ours for years. We had lunch with them today. My wife loves the Spanakapita Plate and I always get the Meat Lovers Gyro Plate. Say hi to Nick. "You'll love it Baby"

I have drive past this location multiple times never to stop in, some reason yesterday was the day. No more driving past and wondering, we ate here on Friday night, caught happy hour. No one thinks of a Greek restaurant for there bar, Stratos is the exception. Great drinks, outstanding prices. Service is good without being pushy. They definitely deserve all the praise that D magazine gives them. From the food to the apps to the drinks, we will be back.

We visited on a Wednesday and it was very fun! They offer salsa lessons at 11:00 and if you are planning on trying it I would advise getting there a good bit beforehand, as it was a steady stream of people coming in the door after about 10. We really enjoyed the flaming cheese appetizer prepared tableside, OPA! The calamari was also quite yummy. We'll plan to visit on a weekend next time to enjoy seeing the belly dancers perform.

I travel to Dallas twice a year, and I go to Stratos every time. Greek food fans will have a tough time finding a better option than these guys. Their portions are very generous. They offer a true Greek dining experience, including food, dancing and atmosphere. I would recommend trying them out while in town.

Bartender was more focused on serving waitress orders than paying attention to my needs. But it worked out.

The title of this post is from a Dallas newspaper. I saw it and thought I would give this place a try. We went there with a larger group. The place is very large with a large bar, a table area and it looked like a private area as well. Televisions were everywhere. It definitely has a sports bar feel. As far as food, A few of us got the gyro, and while it was excellent, not all finished it, due to the portion size. I got the lemonatta, which was fish dish with a hint of lemon, served with a side of rice and vegetables, which was excellent. I would go there again. The gyros were around the 8-10$ mark. They have daily lunch specials, which is why I got the lemonatta for 12. This is good value for the quality and the amount.

Our server Jennifer was very friendly and helpful. Portions were large for lunch and overall tasty. The Greek Burger was a big hit and the Moussaka was above average. We would come here again.

Best Greek food in Dallas. Try the Greek salad with added Gyro. Great place to hang out and enjoy Nick and his crew put on a great show. Great eating option if you are staying at the Baymont Inn and Suites Dallas Lovefield. Go on Monday and Tuesday, great specials on food.

I remember the first time I visited this taverna some years ago, when it had a real greek environment and the food was almost like in Greece. However, in the last years it became a place where the only greek thing are the name of the dishes. Now it has even belly dancers that have nothing to do with greek culture, which kind of clients do the owners think come to this place to be tricked in that way???

After visiting Greece, I have looked all over the DFW area trying to find a place that made the tzaiziki sauce like it is in Greece. This place comes VERY close. The food is amazing. The location is not really ideal, but it is worth the drive. I would love to see Stratos open additional locations.

I have been all over the world to include Greece and the food was really close to original Greek food...that said the atmosphere was very intresting like some else mentioned looks more like a night club than a true Greek resturant. Would I recommend eating there yes for the food but nothing else.

Went to Stratos for lunch and ordered the gyro combo which comes with a greek salad and my husband ordered the gryo plate which comes with extra meat. I've been to other greek restaurants and Stratos definately tops them. Our server was super friendly and provided us with great information. Mon and Tues nights after 5p 1/2 off entrees, so we will definately be back. Also the tables are a little lower to the ground because on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights they have belly dancers which dance on your table, so watch your knees when you go to sit down.

My friend and I were on vacation in Dallas and had been wanting some Greek food for a long time. We came across Stratos and decided to try them out, based on several reviews we had seen. It's conveniently located and not very far from downtown Dallas. The outside exterior is a bit tacky, it looks like someone just painted burglar bars blue and attached them to a white facing. The inside décor was also questionable: it had a really nice tile floor at the entrance, but the seating area throughout the restaurant was leopard carpeting; what leopard has to do with Greek, I have no clue. BUT.... We ordered the grilled octopus appetizer, and the gyro plate [comes with the salad of your choice instead of fries]. The grilled octopus was excellent, absolutely excellent. Our dishes were so good! My friend ordered the Nico Salad, and I ordered the Horiatiki. Everything was so filling, and really delicious. We both ordered the orange-mango drink, which was actually Tampico. That was a really odd to discover the familiar taste in the middle of a restaurant, we were expecting something more exotic than something off of the shelf at the grocery store. We did have a slight problem though. We came in before 4 pm [when the lunch menu ends] and were at first charged the dinner prices [a variance of about $7 a plate], we cleared it up with our waitress and paid for exactly what we should have. Our waitresses outfit was incredibly short, she kept adjusting, and often we thought we would get a show! We noticed the other workers walking around, and they all seemed to be dressed the same: black outfits and VERY SHORT shorts/skirts.

We celebrated a friend's birthday at Stratos. They accommodate large groups well. The food is excellent and the service was great. The dance floor is small, but kids and adults danced to all kinds of lively music from current hits to Brazilian samba. There are also belly dancers roaming around. The people celebrating their birthdays were brought up on stage and had to dance. Lots of fun!

Not the best I've been to and I am sure you are not expecting it to be the best either. But, for the price- it's really good. Food is good but I like more of the ambience there. The fun and easiness along with the feeling of a togetherness through their regular dance acts and then the belly dance will make your time fly. Besides good food and good atmosphere, they do have good drinks. I will definitely go there again.

This was not what I expected in a Greek restaurant. Think of it more as a Greek sports bar. There are several large TVs playing sports. It's run by the family - our waiter was the owner's nephew. Friendly and helpful staff. They have patio seating, but the view is of the parking lot and the street, so don't plan to sit outside for the view. The menu is more limited than I had thought it would be, in a way. Fewer of the stereotypical foods. But more variety of Greek foods. The gyro was good, as was the Greek salad. Plenty of food, no complaints there. Don't let the menu prices scare you. Plan ahead. Monday and Tuesday, if you buy a beverage you get many entrees half price. Combine that with happy hours drinks for $3 or less and it's a deal. And if you don't want adult beverages, buy a Coke and get the same deal. Two drinks and dinner with tip for $16 - I can't complain. Thursday is belly dancing lessons, in case that interests you.

My date and I went to Stratos to celebrate Valentine's Day...we had a booth in the back if the restaurant...much more private and intimate. There was a belly dancer that made it fun....we had appetizers...Flaming Saganaki, always fun, and Skordalia and Pita. Both were very good. For entrees we had Lamb Souvlaki--really good, nice and tender, and Spanakopita Plate. Again, both really good.

The service is great! The belly dancer is really good and makes people participate. The food is really great. We had Lamb, Moussaka, Ceviche, Shrimp cocktail and Souvlaki chicken and all were authentic. Do not miss this place on Friday or Saturday night.

We were not expecting so much entertainment and interaction from performers when we chose this spot. When we first entered we thought there was a private party or wedding going on with the long tables of 20 setup. But we were told that the belly dancer and group dancing happens every Thursday - Sunday. What FUN! The food is great. Gyros platter and shrimp scampi were perfect. We indulged with the special baklava sundae. We'll definitely be back but with a group of family and friends.

The environment of this restaurant was great. The food was delicious and the service a phenomenal. The belly dancer was very talented and really engaged the guest. I loved the fun feel of the restaurant. I would and have recommended this place as a must visit for anyone staying in the Dallas, TX area.

Best Greek Restaurant I have ever eaten. Always very fresh. Started off with the appitizers plates of dolmas and the flafael plate with different dips. It was flat like a pancake. Really good and seasoned great. For my meal got the Statos Sampler. Tons of food. 3 of us shared it and still had tons of left overs. I have traveled the world and have not found a pkace better than this.

I love this restaurant! There is plenty of space, live entertainment, consistently delicious food, nice decor, and many options to choose from. The only complaint is the waitresses with the very short and tight clothing. I don't want to see you butt, thighs, and everything else hanging out. The dress code for the women should definitely be changed.

We arrived about 8PM on a Saturday night, there was a parking lot attendant directing cars to parking and keeping an eye on the cars. The restaurant was mostly full and the belly dancing was in full swing with one dancer getting people in the restaurant to join her for a brief dance. There was a DJ playing pretty loud music. The seats are arranged in tiers so that you can see most of the rest of the restaurant including the dancing. A number of large groups of women and family's were having a good time. A Greek line dance (Zorba?) had a lot of kids joining in. It was entertaining and clearly lots of people were having a good time. Tried a bottle of Greek wine, Nemea, for $36 and it was pretty good for the price in a restaurant. Started out with the Tzatziki & Pita bread which was very good and loaded with garlic. The Steak Souvlaki was very good with tender meat while the vegetables were fresh and bland but good. The Sea Scallops Lemonatto was also good.

This was our first time dining at Stratos and we had a blast. First off, we had the Gyro sandwiches and they were great. After eating, we enjoyed watching the two belly dancers they bring in. I've never seen that before and it was a lot more captivating than I thought it would be. After a few rounds, we enjoyed hookah through a pineapple on their patio. Overall, it was a great Friday night.

I never would have guessed when I bought a Groupon for this restaurant, that I would have such a wonderful time. The food is excellent, assuming you like Greek, of course, and the fun is my favorite part. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, they have belly dancing. Now this is family rated fun. These ladies have awesome talent and involve the audience - if you want to participate. I even took my Sunday School Class and we had a hoot and laughed ourselves silly. We danced the line dance until our sides ached. I have only been on Thursdays but never miss an opportunity to go there

Stratos had good Greek food and solid wait staff. Portions are decent, their happy hour prices are good, and on Monday and Tuesdays, all mains are 1/2 off with a drink purchase (soft drinks and tea counts). I was recently here on a Friday night and they had belly dancers and a Greek conga line. That was all entertaining but the wait staff threw stack after stack of paper napkins in the air, like confetti. All those napkins went into the trash. None were recycled. That was a turnoff for me. Having a good time is great. Wasting a case of napkins is unnecessary. At least recycle them.

Took my wife here because we were in the mood for something Mediterranean. Turned out to be more of a tavern than a restaurant. We did enjoy the food, but if you're looking for a quiet place to eat and talk, this isn't it. The service was OK. They had a very loud DJ and Belly Dancers. It was just too loud and rowdy for us old folks.

The service was very good and for a busy lunch time it was fast. The food was great, lots of choices and our group all had different lunch options that were very reasonable potion sizes. The Lemon Chicken was excellent.

Never had Greek but the atmosphere inside is amazing with Belly Dancers. Food is perfect! Baklava was wonderful! We're coming back!

Very tasty!! Excellent food. We didn't know what to expect given this part of town but we were very pleasantly surprised. The service was great and the food was even better. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Best greek food in Big D! Fabulous desserts, Gyro's to die for, and the Lamb, you will think you died and went to heaven! You gotta try this place!

Wanted to treat friends to a global restaurant not usually associated with Texas. Was not disappointed. Our entrees were gyro, pastitio and lamb souvlaki, all good and deliciously seasoned. Especially fond of the rice pilaf and pita. Baklava was stone cold; would have expected it to be room temperature to enhance the flavors and ease of cutting, especially Friday nite dinner hour. Orange creme dessert: absolute heaven. Service was outstanding along with the entertaining belly dancer!

Delicious food served in an interesting and entertaining surroundings. The entrees that we chose were: Blackened Chicken Fettuccine, Pork Tenderloin Souvlaki, and the Blackened Chicken breast- all were fantastic and savored to the last bite. The side dishes of rice, salad, and grilled vegetables were all very good. This restaurant is located in a less-than-desirable location, but once inside the place is visually stimulating and interesting. We also had the sweetest waitress and many large TVs were showing sporting events and at least one screen that was a travel log for Greece. We have visited Greece and were impressed with this restaurant that excited our senses in many ways.

Fantastic place to spend a night with friends. Enjoy the Gyros and Humas. Staff is friendly and atmosphere is lively at night. Nick, owner, adds character to the restaurant.

First time visiting and I loved it! Flavorful gyros and the serving size of the meals are huge! We visited on a saturday night so there was live music and a dancing performance. They also gave us a complimentary shot and my friend received a selfie stick. That was pretty cool! Will definitely return if I'm in Dallas again.

Stratos restaurant comes close to the real thing. Retsina wine and Ouzo hard to find in Dallas . This team has it .!The food is large amounts of almost genuine greek flair with a little twist of je ne sais quo. I was not impressed with the spam like Gyro<You will need to travel to Greece to find the real cuts of meats on the rotating spit. The spinakopita and the calamares where really good The lamb chops are excellent on the other hand the dolmas could use a little bit more that typical bite and the hummus was just ok. Our restaurant dot com coupon was not accepted for the special plate on Valentines night so we ended up not using it . Little bit of a let down while we spent well over 160 dollars for our shared meal and appetizers. But not to worry because we will come back soon because this place is Fun!! Big video screen with greek scenary, cute and original belly dancers . The patrons get involved in the Zorba Dance and end up dancing on the table . Smiling faces and lots off ooppppaaahs and confetti. The servers are well trained and take care of their customers . All and all a great experience . Get your friend there and have an enjoyable evening . Almost a five stars !

I have been working all over the USA for the past 11 years. I have ate Greek food in over 25 different states. The authenticity of this food and the setting was by far the best. If i had to desceribe this restaurant In one word It would be 'EXQUISITE'!! To top it all off the servers were Greek also. I give it A+.

Great place to celebrate or come for the good food and entertainment. We celebrated my granddaughters 15th birthday. She loves there lamb. The early entertainment is done in good taste so you can take your young ones. Don't know if there late shows are for children.

Who will ever imagine that there will be free salsa and bachata dance at a Greek Restaurant! I ate hummus with pita bread and it was very good. Service was great and the best part was that the Salsa and Bachata dance started at 10:00. Every Wednesday the floor dance is open. Be prepare to have fun and dance the night away! Athmosphere is safe even though the restaurant location may not look safe. I am saying that it is free because I got there early for dinner and then the dance started but I am not sure if there is a cover after certain time . Have fun!

We have been twice, and will probably go every time we have to come to Dallas. We have gotten the Meat Lover's Gyro and have trouble considering anything else! The quality and quantity of the gyro meat make it an excellent buy! When you are in the mood for this type of food, don't look any farther. Go here!!!

I'm not a fan of Greek food but it was good, nothing to complain about. The building itself looks very bad, old, need an update immediately. Staff was fine and was a very cheap place. I wouldn't go back but it's not that bad.

We enjoyed delicious chicken souvlaki with saffron rice and pita bread. Wish I would have took a picture of the baklava. It was too die for! We split it and it was a nice sweet ending for lunch.

There are a lot of things I like about Stratos. I like the food. On our recent visit we had the melitzanosalata and pita, scallops lemonatto, and steak souvlaki. The food was well prepared and presented. The service was good. Also, I like the evening entertainment. It's a fun environment for a dinner out that includes more than just food! AND, I like their air-conditioning. Yes, you read that correctly. When it is 110 degrees in the shade in the DFW area, I go to Stratos which is always cool and dimly lit. It's a great respite from the hot Texas sun. And then we have a great Greek meal with Greek wine and are refreshed and happy.

Celebrating our anniversary, my spouse and I went to Stratos. The evening we were there, many of the items on the menu were half price. We ordered an appetizer, the complete dinner for two, and shared a more than ample dessert. The lamb chops and shish kebab were the best I have ever eaten, as was the spanakopita and dolmades, and nothing else disappointed. The desert was an ample slice of cake filled with chocolate cheese cake, etc., and was more than enough for two. The plate had been decorated with "happy anniversary" which was a really nice touch. We will eat there again, even though it is 90 minutes or so from home.

This was my 1st time trying lamb and Stratos did not disappoint!! The food was delicious and the entertainment was great!! My only issue is that we were seated at a table right next to the stage and everyone was staring like we were the entertainment, but they moved us with no problem. Also they don't close until 2am...winning!!!

I started coming to Stratos back in January. I go almost every Wednesday night because they have Batchata and Salsa music and I love to dance! In addition to the great music, there is also delicious food. I've eaten here twice. They also have an awesome bartender, Angel who is quick and pours heavy. The wait staff is very friendly and make me feel at home every time. Music starts playing pretty early but people don't really show up to start dancing till after 11pm. At 11ish there is a short little Salsa or Batchata lesson taught by Jay Stylz, but if you've never danced before, he's a little hard to follow. Still it's a lot of fun to watch and if you're brave enough, try to follow along. What I love most about this place is how friendly and open everyone is. The first couple of times I went with a friend. She introduced me to a few people, but after that I was on my own. They accepted me into their little dance family immediately.

I experienced joyful "Opas" at Stratos while visiting friends and had a delicious greek dinner. Food is authentic, plentiful, and delicious. The ambience is rowdy family in a good way. Shouts of "Opa! become addicting. Belly dancing and Greek line dancing round out the fun. The only disappointment I had was the baklava. I'm used to light and tender layers of Phyllo dough. This was so dense I had to use knife to cut through it. Was not the least bit disappointed in the rest of the meal, though. So much fun! Opa!

We love Mediterranean food so we thought we would check it out while in Dallas. The reviews look positive and we were in the area for lunch one day. We had melitzanosalata and pita along with gyros. Everything was excellent. Our waitress was very pleasant, told us about their wonderful gyros and stopped by regularly to keep the drinks full. We would definitely go back again if in the area.

Ordered delivery: Great menu variety - everything from traditional Greek to Mexican Soups - fantastic Moussaka - good Octopus - WOW Stuffed shrimp - perfect Fries - the best in Dallas Desserts - incredible - especially the fried cheese cake Can’t wait to eat at this restaurant!!!

Please allow me to preface this review with the fact that I have spent much time sailing the Greek Isles, I know and love "great" Greek food and wine. It is my opinion that Stratos has the best outside of Greece - period. It is my favourite restaurant in the world outside of Crete. With that said, whether for lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed with Stratos Greek Taverna. Parking can be a bit tight in front of the restaurant, but there is plenty of parking in the back. When you walk in the front door, expect to be greeted with a smile by someone who can actually show you to a table. Ask for Lindsey Harasta! I've been here on several occasions at the busiest times, and I've always had a place to sit. The atmosphere is upscale Greek/Mediterranean with a good dance floor. The music has always been lively, but never too loud. This is a traditional "Greek Party" atmosphere. While the staff knows their wine and alcohol selection well, this is not a stereotypical high-brow service. The owner and staff knows how to have fun! I most enjoy starting with the Flaming Saganaki, a wonderful cheese flamed tableside and served with fresh made pita. I also can't resist an order of Dolmathes. Ask Lindsey for a bottle of their Greek white wine. You'll find it goes well with the entire meal - until desert! I also order the Stratos Specialty Platter for Two. It covers all the bases, and the flavor combinations are outstanding. This serves 2 to 3 comfortably. (Yes, you must bring others with you; this is a Greek party after all!) Finally, finish the meal off with Baklava and Greek Coffee with cream. After all of this, have the bartender prepare you favourite Martini(s) to finish the rest of the evening. Have fun - Opa!

This was the first restaurant that we visited while in Dallas as we were driving around getting a feel for the city. The restaurant is clean and was decorated very well for Halloween and we were seated quickly when we got in. This is where the good service ended. The restaurant was not very busy when we got there (I assume it picks up later as it is almost a night club feel inside) and the server was very disinterested in us taking a long time to take our drink orders and was visibly annoyed when no one wanted appetizers. When he did finally get back to taking our order, probably 20-25 minutes later we placed our order and didn't think anything about it. When Our dinner arrived my brother in law who ordered the lasagna was brought a double meat gyro. When he pointed out this fact to the server the server looked and said "Well I wrote down the gyro" and did not even offer to correct this. The food was good and there were no complaints about the gyros and greek salads that we ordered (we can't speak on the lasagna as we never received it). The last straw in service came when the "entertainment" (a belly dancer) approached the table and began speaking with us and then informed us that her daughter had to bring her in tonight since she had already had a few cocktails before work. We all looked at each other and the "let's get out of here before the cops or ambulances arrive" look was on each of our faces and we got out of there as quickly as we could pay.

This place was really a great lunch spot. Four of us for lunch, we all had something different and all enjoyed our lunches very much. The hummus was delish! The Greek Salad was very fresh. This is definitely worth a stop. Great for lunch with coworkers or dinner for a crowd. The only reason I didn't give this place five stars is that it could be a little cleaner and the interior is a little dank, but that's just my opinion. Wouldn't stop me from going back.

Good food, great atmosphere. Greek food in Dallas at its best. Also they have live belly dancers which is something to see.

This place was a lot of fun. I and not a lover of Greek food so I don't think I am qualified to comment on the food as much as the atmostsphere. The place looked like a tarvern, with the dark wooden tables and bar. It is a beautiful setting. The belly dancer was stunning and fun to watch. The staff really gets into the entertainment. It made for an enjoyable night. Like I said, I do not care for Greek food, except for Gyros and hummus. I can say that thier Gyros were delicious, but I was dissapointed in the hummus. Maybe my palate is used to the grocery store fare, but the hummus lacked flavor and the pita bread was dry. BUT..do not skip dessert! The chocolate cake was to die for! I would go back just to eat the cake. This place was not cheap, so get ready with your pocketbooks. Overall, a great place to go.

All the Greek classics, and they all taste great. The staff is incredibly friendly and will make you feel right at home. As an added bonus, they feature entertainment on some nights. Definitely one to try for something different while in Dallas.

Couldn't decide where or what to eat - saw packed parking lot at Stratos Greek Restaurant so took a gamble. We definitely won on this one. We were able to get a table where we not only had great food but entertainment. Belly dancers perfom, then you have opprtunity to learn Greek line dancing and Opa! It is a party! 20 min later another belly dancer performs and it starts all over. This is a restaurant where they invite you to dance on the table. Watching other customers is half the fun. A fun time was had by all!

One Friday night, I recommended to a few friends about visiting this establishment and I took the liberty to personally take them there. This was not the first time for my but it was for them. We were seated promptly and we ordered our drinks and food which were delivered promptly. On this visit, it was Halloween night and many people were in costumes. The DJ played great music and many folks were on the dance floor dancing the night away. All in all, this is one of the best Greek restaurants I've visited and would recommend to anyone who desires to try out Greek food in a fun environment.

We have visited this restaurant twice for lunch. Both times were early afternoon during the week and both times we had received a coupon in the mail. Our first meal, I had the gyro plate with Greek side salad and my friend had the regular Greek salad. The gyro was large and between it and the side salad plenty of food. Our second visit, again early afternoon, I had the souvlaki and my friend had the spankopita. We both enjoyed our meals. At the times we visited the restaurant, it was cool and relatively quiet inside with greek music being played softly. A few diners left over from lunch and some having a conversation over beverage made up the crowd. We could enjoy our meal without having to shout at one another like in so many restaurants these days. From the reviews it would appear that the dinner hour can be a lot of fun, however. Parking at the time we go is ample. The service was good. They have lunch specials during the week along with happy hour specials as well. The restroom was tidy. Big screen televisions are around the room with no volume. One large shows scenes of Greece which is nice. Overall, this is a nice place for lunch to enjoy Greek food. We will be back.

A group of us enjoyed a fantastic dinner with a variety of Greek entrees, great service and delicious desserts! Gyros were tasty and plentiful in the greek salad, limonatta dish was perfectly done and more food than we could all eat - everything was nicely presented and served with a smile. Reasonably priced and tasted very fresh. Great spot for a family or group of friends to enjoy a dinner!

A friend visiting from out of town and I stopped at Stratos for dinner on a Wednesday night and we enjoyed the splendid cuisine and the half-off wine all evening, too. The dance music was pleasant and then the resident dj started spinning salsa music and many people took to the dance floor. There was also salsa music instruction, too. The food was good, service was pleasant, staff were attentive, too. I will be back soon.

Have you ever seen the movie "My big fat Greek wedding"? If not, watch that to be prepared to what you'll find at the restaurant. At least, to be aware that it's a comehow crazy place...so avoid it if you want just a quiet dinner. I had the "Greek God Plate" which comprises two souvlaki, two dolmathakia, rice and steamed vegetables as side. I chose the vegetable and shrimp souvlaki and they were really good. Some of my friends ordered the famous moussaka, and it looked very yummy. Service was fast even if we were a big group...but the waitress split the bill in a wrong way.

Food very dry, somewhat disappointed after the other positive reviews. Service patchy, took considerable time for food to arrive on an order that wasn't complex. Shan't bother revisiting.

very nice folks/ great service and the belly dancers were a nice touch. to you guys out there with wives that don't like the "stripper" idea. this is nothing like that, respectful dancing as an art form. please be sure to tip them. the food was great, some of it a little strange to this simple country boy. went here for anniversary dinner very glad we did.

Food was awful the server lied about food portions and recommended us to order more food and said owner was Greek! Weird place 🤮
Not sure what just happened
I ordered online, and the order status kept jumping around on when it would be ready, then it wasn't done after i got the notification it was ready to pick up. When i got there, I walked in and was wondering if they were actually open and if i had walked into the wrong building. The inside looks like all nightclub and no restaurant. At 7:30 on a Friday night, there wasn't a customer in the building. I got the chicken gyro sandwich, and ended up only eating about a 1/4 of it. It taste burnt, was dried out, and really wasn't that far off from being jerky. For a gyro and fries to be almost $20, I expected a lot more than frozen chicken strips that may have just been microwaved and tossed on the grill to mark them up (I dont know if thats what happened, but it tasted that way). I gave it two stares over one because it had a large portion size, and the manager, hopped up to help me in a hurry once i told them i was there to pick up an order. I cant speak for if its a decent night club, but I cant recommend anyone considering to eat here.
