Business dinner with my team. I started with the soup which was top notch. The fried chicken and collard greens were outstanding. No room for dessert. The service was very average. The waiter even refilled my Diet Coke with Ice Tea. Attention to detail is definitely lacking

Our family visited here for the first time and really enjoyed it. The appetizers were great which we shared. Everyone ordered something different and liked what they had. The portions were large and tasty. We will definitely go again.

My family and I visited the Oak Lawn location of Streets Fine Chicken this past Sunday before the Christmas holiday. We got there around 2 pm after spending the morning and early afternoon at the DMA. Streets is POPULAR. At 2 pm, there was about a 30-minute wait. We sat at the bar, ordered some Bloody Marys, and watched the Cowboys game. After getting seated, we tried a little bit of everything from the menu. My dad and stepmom both ordered from the brunch menu (10 am - 4pm on Saturday and Sunday). My dad got the chicken and waffles, and my stepmom got the breakfast burrito (stuffed with fried chicken, scrambled egg, pimiento cheese fritters). My little sister got the chicken fried steak; my brother the Sin Killer Thigh Sandwich (peri peri thigh, Havarti cheese, arugula, roasted tomato, escebeche onions, peri perio aioli on ciabatta); my grandmother the roasted chicken and white bean soup; and I got the Sin Killer peri peri pair of thighs with a side of brie mac and cheese and a honey butter biscuit. EVERYONE LIKED THEIR FOOD. I would like to point out that this is unusual. While the food was amazing, it wasn't a quick meal. We waited about 30 minutes for our table, and once we got our table, it took a while to order. We were probably there for an hour and a half. The service itself was very good, but the whole meal was just a little slow. But, like I said earlier, we got there towards the end of their post-church brunch rush. If you don't want to wait, I'd avoid late brunch on Christmas weekend. All in all, we loved our meal. I'd eat that peri peri chicken again right now.

My uncle and I came here for dinner. We both had the chicken fried chicken and fries. We thought the meal was delicious. The service of the staff was great. We will definitely come back.

Not sure what "French" chicken is but it's not Southern! As I indicated, it isn't bad just I like others better. Having said that, I strongly recommend the Chicken Lollipops and the fried chicken skin with gravy---not your cardiologists recommendation but; hey, it's good!

Very busy place. Excellent service that was quick but not too pushy about it. We started off with fried pimiento cheese bites, drumstick lollipops, and the chicken cicharones. The cheese bites were good, the chicharones were in desperate need of some more seasoning, but the lollipops were a real stand out. They had a great smoker flavor and the texture was perfect. My wife ordered the chicken and dumplings and they were outstanding. I ordered the fried chicken and I was a bit disappointed. The batter was not light and crispy - it was hard and heavier than I prefer. But the chicken itself was cooked perfectly. It also had a different and unique set of herbs and spices. The side items were a hit. The collard greens were some of the best I've ever had - where the stems of the greens still had some turgidity and the bacony flavor was divine. The Brie mac and cheese was rich and a nice spin on the American staple. The grits had a wonderful blend of goat cheese and cheddar - where the goat cheese did not overpower everything. The roasted Brussels sprouts were also perfectly cooked and not over done. The green beans, too, were done perfectly. We all shared a bread pudding for dessert. It has white chocolate and macadamia nuts - neither of which I am very fond of...but it was served with a whisky sauce and surprisingly fantastic. I would order it again. If I return, I will avoid the fried chicken but look forward to the other items.

I just figured this was going to be another diner type place with home cooking but nothing to write home about but i will be going back for those grits and Mac n cheese! My mouth is watering just thinking about those grits! Yum! We tried the lollipop chicken as a starter but were not excited about it. The friend chicken was really good and crispy w/ only a hint of sweet.

We went to Street's Fine Chicken (Cedar Springs) this past Sunday as a group of 7 and it was delicious. From the chicken tenders, chicken fried chicken to the Peri Peri breast we had no complaints! I especially enjoyed the "Sin Killer Peri Peri" chicken breast, marinated then grilled with so much flavor and just spicy enough to warm your mouth but not too spicy at all. The sides were delicious too. Good fries, but they have some you aren't your standard fare as well. Apple Jicama slaw was bright and crisp, so refreshing! And Tobasco Goat Cheese grits are not to be overlooked! These were so creamy and great flavor! And our server brought out a sample of brussel sprouts that are not on the menu yet, but really a great addition to our meal. Really good food in a casual atmosphere.

We were staying in the Warwick Melrose, arrived late evening and looking for a quick bite to eat. This restaurant was close by, we didn't really have huge expectations and wow, how we were wrong! Gorgeous atmosphere, food absolutely outstanding and next level service. Thanks to Taylor and Samuel for a great evening. We are visiting Dallas from Northern Ireland have been in Fort Worth and San Antonio with Dallas as our final leg, and this honestly is one of the best meals we had. Brussel sprouts sre fab! Taylor was so lovely giving us lots of recommendations of things to do. Id return here in a heartbeat.

I actually did not eat here...I love the Cedar Springs location but the service method here is - stand in line behind however many people are in front and wait till they can read the Smallish menu above the register and the counter man being trained figures out how to enter the order.....hmmmmmmm, what's wrong with this picture. This is not inexpensive fast food........ I am not waiting 15 min in line and another 15-20 for my food.

We googled fried chicken in the area and this is where we ended up. It was packed so we figured it would be a fine place to eat. It was okay. I'm not sure I would go back. We had chickarones. If you like eating fried chicken skin then this is for you. I didn't really like it. We ordered fried chicken sandwich, chicken and waffles, chicken tenders and biscuits. The chicken seasoning was bland. I did enjoy their Hibiscus tea and the service was excellent. I think I'll stick to fast food chicken.

Excellent chicken fried chicken and fried chicken! The mac and cheese was delicious. Also the ice tea was especially good. Had lunch here on a rainy Tuesday and there was no wait! Service was excellent too.

We had been SOOO looking forward to another Street restaurant to fill the gap in our neighborhood that the closing of Black Eyed Pea left. We just ate there for the first time today and were disappointed, to say the least. I had the fried chicken, which was not seasoned at all. The crust was a dark brown, and was very tough; my mouth still feels greasy. Although the chicken was moist, IT TASTED LIKE FISH. My partner and I kept tasting it and agreed, although we could not imagine how this could have happened, since I don't think they have fish on their menu. I had a side of cole slaw, which was so vinegary I couldn't finish it either. My partner had the chicken fried steak, which was a good piece of meat, but also flavorless. The crust was not crisp, either, although his side of mashed potatoes were pretty good. Service was excellent. But this is a chicken place, so get it together, Streets!

They start by slowly brine the chicken and then deep fried to a delicate and delicious end result. The sides are also great...such as the Deviled Eggs with jalapeno.

If you like fried chicken, this is a good place--a couple of steps up from KFC, Popeye's or Hardee's, but still plenty casual. Easy on the wallet, too...

Service was fast and friendly, but our server couldn't answer basic questions about the menu. Fried chicken was good, not great and I've definitely had better chicken fried steak. For the most part, our food was just bland.

...in the Gayborgood!!! So there seems to be this rule that restaurants in the gay part of town are inferior to other parts of town. We no longer - Streets is awesome casual dining. You MUST try the Fried Pimento Cheese fritters-you must! The chicken is great, the biscuits are OMG, and the service was lovely. What more can you ask for :)

Excellent food and service. I had Chicken and White Bean Soup (tasted just like homemade),Sin Killer grilled Chicken with cole slaw (the best ever) and Bread Pudding (must try!). Waiter Michael was very helpful and enthusiastic. He convinced me to try a piece of their Fried Chicken on the side. So glad I did. Another best ever. I mention art. Be sure to check out the murals - Chicken (famous) Masterpieces outside.

From the people who created the Black Eye Pea, Street’s Fine Chicken is showing innovation on traditional Southern fried food. My meal was a chicken fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, and a biscuit. (Tell server if you want gravy on your fried chicken or mashed potatoes.) The food is tasty fresh with an over accent on pepper. Ask the server on what food is spicy versus bland. The chef tend to add spice to most of the menu.

We were in Dallas for a long weekend get-away. We ate dinner on Wednesday night, had appetizers on Friday evening and brunch on Saturday morning at Street's Fine Chicken on Cedar Springs. Our dinner was excellent. We all opted for the fried chicken. Delicious!!! I had the collard greens and black-eyed peas as sides and my husband had the Brie Mac 'N Cheese. All of them were outstanding. We stopped in for appetizers on Friday evening and sat at the bar. We had the Little Devils (Sriracha spiked deviled eggs with shaved jalapeno) and Fried Green Tomatoes (the FGT are not on the menu but are readily available). I highly recommend both. Brunch on Saturday was relaxed and fun. We had the mimosas with mango tequila...yummy! I had the Showbird which is a stacked sandwich with a boneless chicken breast, fried string sweet potatoes and a fried egg on top. Other meals were chicken tenders, chicken and waffles and the breakfast burrito. For appetizers we once again Little Devils but we added the Chicken Fried Bacon! Outstanding. Every meal we had at Street's was excellent. The waitstaff was knowledgeable and fun. Drinks were plentiful and the atmosphere was great. The restaurant inside and out is decorated with beautiful artwork of chickens and there are also paintings on the wall that were painted by chickens like D"egg"o Rivera and Peckaso! Fun, colorful and beautiful...if a little abstract! We would certainly revisit Street's Fine Chicken the next time we visit Dallas.

We visited Street's on Veteran's Day and what a great Fried Chicken meal. The service matched the food and also enjoyed the beer they have. Started off with the pimento fritters. Really good CRUNCH as with a bit a sweet and a hint of heat. Highly recommend. We ordered legs and wings and couldn't have been happier. (4 of each, ate 2 of each on Friday and then for lunch on Saturday, just as good.) We had 2 sides, mashed potatoes and gravy and mac/cheese along with their buttermilk biscuits. The Chicken is VERY moist and also with a great CRUNCH to it and the pieces are the biggest pieces of chicken I have ever seen. Looking foreard to trying more of the menu over the coming months.

When I visit Dallas, I make sure to stop by the establishment. The food is good and the staff goes above and beyond as they are awesome and amazing .A special shout out to Zach and Taylor for their superior customer service. This establishment makes me smile.

We loved this place. The food was great. They also had $5 house wine! Our waiter also had a very charasmatic personality. Loved it!

We had brunch here after church but ordered off the regular menu. Next time I’ll try a brunch entree. My wife had the chicken and dumplings, and my Mississippi girl cleaned her plate. I had the show bird sandwich which is really sort of a brunch dish; buttered toast, fried boneless chicken breast, sweet potato strings, onions and jalapeño gravy. I added an over easy egg. Delicious! I also had a good Bloody Mary. None of the silly garnishes, just a good spicy Bloody. There was a bottle of house hot sauce on the table that made it even better. Service was excellent. Our food was delivered almost as fast as at the counter service places. The restaurant is in an old storefront with high pressed tin ceilings and tile floors; it can get loud. They have gourmet ice cream sandwiches for dessert, but we were too full.

Unfortunately, I can't think of one reason to go back. First, a fairly long renovation period yielded .....TaaDaa🎉....the former "Black Eye Pea" with a coat of white paint slapped on it. Secondly, the menu offered nothing notable- a roasted, half chicken w/ 1 side($14!) & over-marinated, spicy chicken breast w/ 1 side($14). The crowning jewel was the "Brie Mac & Cheese"(aka-Kraft Shells & Cheese)($6) Finally- The boring, inexperienced kidtender, recco'd we order a "house specialty"-some weird champagne/vodka thing(?)that will make you want to try sobriety..... Sad to see all the effort for such a "C"grade result.......

If you want great fried chicken, this is the place. The chicken is moist and flavorful with a great selection of sides.

I heard the chicken was all that, but with a group of over 30... Somone's chicken is bound to be cold, unfortunately it was mine! The mashed potatoes and deviled eggs were quite tasty and my leftover chicken straight out the fridge was tasty as well. our server told us they were low on mashed potatoes, something I will never understand when a restaurant has only a few sides to choose from. But the atmosphere was nice and open the staff was polite and the joint was clean. so not to bad just sad my chicken was cold.

My husband and I went for Sunday brunch. We both had pimento cheese fritters (♥️) and chicken fried bacon! I had biscuits and gravy and I wish I had gotten something else... as it was only above above average, but my husband had A FRIED CHICKEN BREAST SANDWICH. Omg. It was so delicious. Chicken is 100% the way to go for your main course. We also enjoyed the drip coffee, real coffee cream, and fairly priced breakfast cocktails!

As Uptown residents, we've been wanting to try this place since it opened a few months ago. We popped in for lunch on Memorial Day weekend, and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent, and our waiter helped us make our selections. We both ordered the piece fried chicken which was delectable - perfectly moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Our sides mac and cheese - a heart attack on a plate, but so good!! The cole slaw was not too creamy (more vinegar-based, as I like it) and the biscuit rounded out this very good lunch. I wish I could visit more frequently, but alas, this isn't the healthiest lunch you could eat, so it will have to be a once-in-a-while place. But highly recommend if you're in the mood for really good fried chicken in Dallas.

This place came well recommended. They offer various chicken options. I ordered the mixed 3 piece and it was very filling and moist. This is really excellent chicken. The Brussels Sprouts and biscuit were great too.

I've only been to Street's twice. And Normally I would stick to a restaurants specialty. But I'm a meatloaf fan and I got a little daring. And I was shocked that it was really really good!! Great taste and the glaze was so yummy. And I might add that the mac and cheese as a side was excellent too. I read some mixed reviews but it was over the top good! The only negative was the biscuit, but I got my meal to go and didn't eat it until 30 minutes later. So I'm sure it would have tasted better and been more fresh earlier.

Street’s Fried Chicken is wonderful. The family tradition in the restaurant business continues. The chicken and vegetable selections were very nice. The cocktails were wonderful as well. Oh, did I mention the biscuits, a delightful touch to the wonderful fried chicken. A very nice meal.

Great food and atmosphere. Service was great and the waitress was very attentive. Try the chicken sandwich options, you can’t go wrong.

They let you eat just the skins! My mom never would. :). Best appetizer. This is a really great place. Only here for the week but plan to return again.

The chicken fried steak is very good, but not great. Lightly breaded, but falls off far too easy. Jalapeño gravy was OK, but far preferred their sausage cream gravy that comes with the biscuits at brunch. Biscuits are excellent. Brie Mac and cheese is very good. Atmosphere is very casual and comfortable. Sever was good, but not as proactive as you might wish. Parking out back, which I expect fills up quickly at peak times. Will go back to try the chicken!

Have been to Streets twice now and both times were amazing. First, the place has a neat, quaint, cozy, old time vibe to it. Great bar area and a nice size dining room. Service both times was polite and attentive. And then there's the food. Holy cow, is their chicken good! The crispy outside keeps the meat inside moist and tender and so very hot you need to be a bit careful before getting down with a full mouth of bird. But man, it is so good! Sunday they also offer Chicken and Waffles, which my son made quick work off. I got the two piece (breast and thigh) and the pieces are so generous i had a hard time finishing it. But it was worth the work! The biscuits are honey kissed and so flaky and fluffy. And then finally, we had the Jalapeno deviled eggs. Wonderful! This is a place worth going out of your way to try. Trust me on this one.

You won’t be disappointed! Absolutely loved this placed. I got the “Hell’s Chicken” sandwich, if you like spice, go for it !

Amazing chicken fried chicken and honey butter biscuits. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The bar was stocked with plenty of southern classics.

I only wish I'd been able to dine at Street's more often , I would've tried more from their menu. I thoroughly enjoyed my fried chircken and sides of greens, grits, black-eyed peas and coleslaw. everything was delicious . Chicken is brined before frying and stays very moist and flavorful. Streets is a long time family restaurant in Dallas area. Full bar, with creative cocktails and several local beers both on tap and bottled. Recently added menu items include meatloaf, poor hops and shrimp and grits.Definitely worth a visit

We enjoyed a wonderfully surprising lunch at Streets Chicken today. A friend suggested this spot and said it had some of the best chicken in town and collard greens to taste. Well, we were quite pleased about this quaint spot on Cedar Springs. Let's start with dessert, the bread pudding is delicious!! We also dined on chicken fried steak w/gravy and honestly the gravy left something to be desired because it was tasteless and very thin. The meal made up for that with the creamy grits, chicken tenders and mashed potatoes. The chicken lollipops were okay but the sauce was way too overpowering. And the brie mac and cheese was deliciously rich and worth every bite. Just know that the mac and cheese comes with a $2 up charge that was not indicated on the menu. I know, I know it's just $2 but my coworker mentioned it enough that I'm including it in my review. All in all, good lunch and delicious meal. Stop in and give them a try.

Although not rated the highest from other reviews we found this restaurant to be excellent. Beyond the regular Fried chicken option they had other takes on chicken, that included roasted brined chicken, and one new favorite Chicken Fried Chicken! The sides were all delicious and cocktails enticing.

We ate at Street's yesterday. The chicken was awesome. Surprisingly the goat cheese grits and collard greens we had for sides were unbelievably good! The little devil eggs for appetizer was equally awesome. This is a definite repeater - highly recommend!

First time here, so of course I had to have the...Fried Chicken! I ordered the 3-pc white meat fried chicken which comes with a biscuit (with honey-butter) and one side. For my side, I chose roasted Brussel sprouts...however, I couldn't have fried chicken without mashed potatoes and gravy...so ordered that too. I'd have to say that everything was delicious. Of course, for a meal like this I had to pepper it. Then because the chicken was fried it needed salt (as a flavor booster)...then voila...awesome! The chicken was crunchy and delicious. The Brussel sprouts (with a maple-dijon) were some of the best I've tasted. And of course, mashed potatoes and gravy are always great! It was a huge meal and I intended to take home leftovers...but there were none! I'd definitely recommend trying this place. And, if you can get past the fried chicken you'll probably love the Chicken Pot Pie and Chicken & Dumplings. I'm told their collard greens are worth trying as well!

My husband and I are in Dallas for the weekend and the proprietor of our B&B recommended Street’s Fine Chicken, and we are so glad he did. He recommended the Little Devils (deviled eggs) as an appetizer, and they were not grandma’s. They were a little spicy and beautifully displayed —5 eggs for the 2 of us, and delicious. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie—really pretty, not really served as a pie, but a plate of filling with chicken and sauce and veggies, topped with a flaky square biscuit —he didn’t leave any for me so I know it was excellent. I had the chicken and dumplings because the owner is the son of the original Black Eyed Pea that had been at this same location (once they became a chain, the chicken and dumplings became uninspired and salty). But these at Street’s were fantastic. My husband didn’t get a taste. my husband had a draft microbrew that he said was good, and I had iced tea—fresh made, with clear ice, the best kind! We left happy and full.

Arising from the ashes of the Original Black-Eyed Pea location, “Street’s Fine Chicken is now open. While chicken is their specialty, I stopped by for dessert and receive a unique and flavorful fork filled warm dessert. Mariel, managing partner and hostess warmly greeted me with all the charm that Southern hospitality was created on. I was promptly seated at a table that I had requested. While the old Pea location was known for dim light and dust, this new facility was well lit and extremely clean. Every table was decorated with fresh flowers. I ordered a white chocolate, macadamia nut bread pudding with Texas Whiskey anglaise sauce. My server Michael served me a warm, moist, desert with unique scents and flavors. This pudding ingredients was not overpowering. Each ingredient blended well to bring a sweet taste with a bread texture. (Too often a pudding contains too much whiskey or filling. However, this dessert allowed me to experience the macadamia nuts, sugars, grains, and chocolate. The dessert was accented with an actual mint leaf and freshly whipped cream. I must return for their chicken. If they can do dessert this well, then I can not wait for main entre tomorrow! If you are searching for parking, they have a lot located behind the building (off Reagan Street).

I have dined at Streets Chicken at least three times now and have had a great experience each time. I have tried their fried chicken tenders, the PeriPeri Chicken and their Grilled Bourbon Glazed Meat loaf. I love all of them. Their sides are also high quality and delicious. I have tried the greens, the mashed potatoes, Brie Mac & cheese, garlic green beans and the grits. Every one was excellent. The deviled eggs appetizer is also delicious.

After seeing such a high rating, I had high expectations and was disappointed. The fried chicken was just average. It tasted like it was brined but I didn’t care for the flavor. The whipped potatoes were also just “meh”. The deviled eggs were quite good.

This was a great chicken spot with a tongue in cheek attitude. The food is very fresh and as you can imagine the focus is on chicken. There are however big ol' pork chops, large salads, and chicken fried steak. It's all good and the staff is top notch.

We visited here late on a Thursday evening. A couple of friends were coming through town arriving at Love Field airport, and was looking form something close. At 8:00 pm, there were about 7 tables, but continued to have people come in while we where there. The location on Cedar Springs doesn't have parking, thus if you arrive at a busy period, you may have to walk a few blocks. The interior is country cozy, and casual. Lighting is neither bright nor dark (unlike some places where you can't see the menu). It was a nice lighting that reminded me of a home living room with warm lighting from lamps. There are both booths, tables, and half-booths. The waiter was fantastic. He was helpful, friendly, and playful in a pleasant way. We started out with drinks. I had a Texas Sand. I like to try new things, and this was bourbon and blood orange port. I liked it, but didn't love it. It's not for everyone. They also have craft beer, small selection of wines, and other specialty drinks (yea!). Two of us had the Dolly Pardons, and they loved them. As an appetizer, we had the Little Devils. Really good, without being overly spicy. For an entree, I had the Chicken Pot Pie, with a side of Cheddar Goat Cheese Grits. The pot pie was chicken between a flaky and buttery crust (top/bottom). I'm picky about pot pie, and don't find ones I like often. This was fantastic, and a hint of rosemary. The gravy made the dish, and the chicken was perfect. The cheese grits were good, but didn't "wow" me. One of the guests had the pork chop. The slice was 3-4 inches thick, and cooked perfectly. The flavor was great. With the chop, they had the green beans, which were equally good. Street's has good food, and good value for the price. We'll return again to try additional menu items.

The three of us were pleased with our respective meal. Cousin liked it so much that she wanted to come back for dinner later that same day. I can say that if I was a local, then I'd be a regular at Streets Fine Chicken in Dallas, Texas.

All about the chicken tonight. Chicken lollipops.. smoked and fried w/ grand mariner horse radish molasses..... two piece dark fried chicken and a side of Brie Mac n cheese when you only serve one thing, it better be good

I’m not sure if it was because it was the end of the night or what but there was no such thing as customer service at this restaurant. My friends had already ordered. I came in late and when the waitress came to the table she didn’t acknowledge my existence, didn’t offer anything to drink or ask if I wanted anything. When my friend tried to order a drink she kept cutting him off. Then in the middle of the meal she just left and had another guy come help us with no explanation she was leaving. It took me asking for a water before I was even acknowledged. This is the poorest customer service I’ve ever seen. I would never come back to this establishment ever again. I got better service in a dark movie theater than I did in a restaurant. Horrible.

We were invited to Street's by some folks as church. Having never heard of them but loving chicken we were all over it but were skeptical. Much to our surprise, the food was EXCELLENT, the service OUTSTANDING and the environment was very family friendly as we had our 3 great nephews with us. The Smoked Chicken and with a side of the Maple Roasted Brussel Sprouts was out of this world. The fresh lemonade was pretty good too. I can't report on the deserts as the chicken filled me up.

Immediate family gathering to celebrate birthday. Seating for groups of 8 are plentiful due to the tables being long in some sections. The main attraction is the menu iss totally based on chicken. Fried chicken was excellent! Deviled eggs and pimento fritters were delicious. The presentation of the food was well done. Color and arrangement were pleasing to the eye and made everyone try the appetizers. Food was served hot and the atmosphere was very pleasant and friendly. We will do this place again and again.

This place sets high expectations, and then far exceeds them! Every time! The fried chicken is good. It's not overly fried and tastes like the chicken from a Wienerwald restaurant. Street's competes with Brick and Bones in Deep Ellum for the best fried chicken in Dallas. Brick and Bones is heavy on the (delicious) breading, salt, and grease. Street's is the opposite: the breading is more subtle, less greasy, more herby. Also really good are the peri peri chicken and the chicken and dumplings. For an appetizer, the chickarones are the way to go. They used to come split with vegan chicharones, which were to die for. But the chicken skin ones are great by themselves, and gives you an excuse to douse them in peri peri sauce!

I’m so glad we made it here, as the fried chicken was amazing and the sprouts were just as awesome. Even the biscuit was delicious. I’d be here often if I lived locally.

The chicken was enjoyable. However, I regret choosing the breast instead of the thigh. The greens were tasty, but the mac and cheese seemed overly creamy, so I sent it back in exchange for mashed potatoes. Now I enjoyed eating the mashed potatoes alongside the chicken in one bite. Bon appétit! Customer service was satisfactory.

Devilled eggs with jalapeno slices on top. Chicken fingers cooked perfectly with a wonderful ranch dressing. Bried Mac and Cheese. This place is comfort food Nirvana!

Have eaten there several times, and food has always impressed. Chicken Pot Pie is excellent, as are the Deviled Eggs, Chicken Fried Chicken, and (I'm sure,) everything on the menu.

Street’s makes a nice chicken fried steak and I’m guessing that quality carries over to the rest of their fried options. We had it with collard greens and mashed potatoes. Sides were good, steak was solid and gravy was fine (you can request sausage gravy rather than jalapeño). Would come back and try again. Made me think of the old Black-Eyed Pea concept that Gene Street was part of at one time.

We had an excellent chicken fried chicken and delicious pork chop dinner. Bread pudding was also a good way to finish off a memorable night.

We walked in a little before 2pm today (Saturday). The place was 1/2 filled at most. The 3 of us ordered a chicken soup ( horribly sour), a salad and 2 orders of the 3 piece fried chicken dinners. I told our server to bring the chicken as soon as they were ready despite our starters. The 2 plates of fried chicken arrived at the table at 2:56pm. People seated 30 mins after us got their chicken fried steak and chiccharrones 15 mins before us. We ordered right after the single guy in the booth across from us. He ate ( his fried chicken!) and paid up before our chicken even arrived. Every time I asked, the server would be perturbed and said, " We make our chicken from scratch, ma'am"! The fried chicken was good but on the salty side. We still prefer Bubba's. Less wait time and nicer waitstaff too! Can't say we'll be back.

Been to Street's several times since they opened. Always great food, fast friendly service and good value. Definitely try to the fried chicken. Chicken fried steak and chicken fingers a great too. Chicken lollipop appetizer is outstanding as is the bibb salad. Cocktails are also excellent. If you like vodka the Frusia is awesome. My only tiny complaint is if you order an appetizer or salad they don't wait to bring the rest of the meal so the table can get crowded with plates. Try this place!

WOW! Just when you think Dallas simply can't have another spot that serves fried chicken, along comes Street's Fine Chicken. And very fine chicken it is! Honestly, the best fried chicken we have had anywhere in Dallas. We were greeted very warmly upon arrival and taken to a booth. The restaurant is very light and bright with lots of fun chicken art. The cocktails were very good, offering some of the usual craft cocktails. Our server was very cordial and service was good. We started with the fried pimento cheese balls. Oh my goodness - who knew you could improve upon pimento cheese? They were delicious. Not greasy at all. Then on to the fried chicken. It was very well seasoned, the crunch on the batter was perfect and the chicken itself was very moist. The batter stayed on the chicken, not like it does with some where it falls off in clumps. Again, we were really pleased that the chicken was not one bit greasy. The macaroni and cheese is positively delicious. Super creamy and cheesy. And the brussel sprouts with bacon - over the top! We dine out on a fairly regular basis, trying all of the new spots, so we don't frequently make return visits to restaurants - too many places, too little time! But with Street's Fine Chicken, we will most definitely be returning. It was just that good.

Lunch was delicious - the deviled eggs were tasty. The new venue is different from before...it's more open and seating is plentiful

Awesome chicken! Fantastic Mac and cheese! Gotta try the fried bacon and mashed potatoes! Great atmosphere as well! Michael (waitstaff) was a great!

Guess I’m missing something. I give it a fair on two separate visits. The rotisserie chicken is prepared well in advance and overdone. The chicken fried chicken is not fresh. Tasted & looked frozen. Veggies ok. Sorry, just can’t see it. Many better options for the same or less price.

Pretty good chicken, didn't take the 20-30 minutes it said to cook, so I doubt it was freshly made, was probably left overs from lunch. Mac and cheese was excellent. Service was good

Went for a late brunch earlier today...it’s a bustling spot in an eclectic part of Dallas. The brunch & regular menu were so good we have already planned our return. Because it was our first time, we went for the recommendation which was of course, 2 or 3 pc Fried Chicken with a side. We both chose the Apple jicama slaw which was fresh, tasty and an absolute must. The chicken was stunning; simply Crispy and super juicy. The biscuits were fluffy and buttery goodness. My daughter had the chicken & waffles; she loved it but found it a bit aggressive on the maple syrup. It’s a must try but perhaps keep the syrup on the side. My son opted for the crispy chicken sandwich of which there was not a trace of; he demolished it and loved every bite....except the one I had! Diet starts now!!

Definitely the best and largest fried chicken and fried green tomatoes I’ve had in a very long time. Service was very attentive and friendly. Lots of locals mixed with people from the nearby hotel. I’m adding this to my favorites!

i waited patiently to watch this new restaurant be outfitted and ready for customers. Customers indeed were there! I know it is new, but if their start is any indication of how successful they will be, then they have a great future. The food was excellent, the greeting was excellent. The service was as good as it could be with that many customers at one time. They seemed very highly organized through the chaos. I highly recommend the Fried Chicken Sandwich

The chicken is very good. I had the Sin Killer which was delicious, but the chicken portion was very small, especially for a $14 lunch. On the other hand, the grits and Brussel's sprouts were very good and plentiful. The service was on the slow end, and the decor is simple and fun.

Our party met for continued business and to grab a bite after a long day. We were blessed to have Ms. Tiffany Epps as our waitress. She is amazing. Well versed in the best recommended dishes and drinks. Completely professional - courteous - friendly and on point. Tiffany seems to have a knack for the service industry- even post-Covid and didn’t seem bothered with our multiple requests. The food was great and the bartender - really “bartened”. Only because of Tiffany will we return and we’re very happy to spread the word. 5 ******’s. 👍🏿

Tried this local dinery because we were staying at the nearby Warwick Hotel. Street's is all chicken all the time (although it has a few none chicken items). Worth a trip just to see their chicken mural. Recommend their chicken sandwiches and their chicken fried chicken (or steak). Excellent service!

I took an order to go. The staff was super friendly and the meal came out pretty quickly. I was missing a part of my order which I realized when I got to the hotel. When I tried to give them a call, sadly no one was answering. I'd still go back, fried chicken was DELICIOUS!

We saw this on D Magazines hottest new restaurants and could not have been happier. I had the roasted and toasted with a side of grits. It was the best roasted chicken. My husband had the sin killer and also loved it. Ask for the honey and butter for your yummy biscuit.

A friend suggested this place while visiting Dallas, it was a great find , great food, great service , great atmosphere! All around good prices Will visit again !

Stumbled upon one of my top salads while travelling. Opt’d for the D’Eagle Salad and added fried hot chicken. The mix of the fresh greens, cheese, bacon, hot chicken and the jalapeño ranch dressing 🤌🏻 • Other than water, I had to try one of the frozen cocktails in the slushie machine. I did the skinny marg and again, one of the best I have had. Chatting with the bartender and she said that was her doings. Bravo ma’am 👏🏻 will def be back if I am in the area again.

If you're looking for chicken, then you need looking no further than Street's Fine Chicken. Visiting the Dallas Oaklawn area, we went to Street's based on a recommendation. The food was excellent, the service pretty good, and overall a very nice experience. But, if you're looking to chow down on anything other than chicken, you'll need to cross the road and go somewhere else.

Started with the Panko crusted and fried pimento cheese fritters with tabasco agave jam. Absolutely delicious. It had just the right amount of heat. I could have made a meal just eating those! The Gouda and Brie Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. Perfect toasting on the top. I had the 2 piece chicken with mashed potatoes and biscuit. It came with a leg and a breast. The crust was perfect. It was seasoned well and stayed on the chicken. I don't care for white meat as it tends to be dry but this was great. Three days later I went back again with friends and was not disappointed. This time I had the crispy chicken tenders. I also had the maple glazed brussels sprouts with bacon and coleslaw. I will be making the Brussels sprouts for myself. For those of you who do not like brussels sprouts do not miss this dish it will make you a Brussels sprouts lover. For starters I had the chicken lollipops. The chicken lollipops were smoked and fried drumsticks rolled in Grand Marnier horseradish and Molasses. They were absolutely fabulous! Just the perfect amount of smoke and sweetness with a bit of a bite from the horseradish. The Coleslaw was delicious with just a bit of heat. And I had the Pimento cheese fritters again. The starters are great to share. The bread pudding well... Just get it. Friendly service and full bar for your favorite adult beverage.

We had brunch here after church twice, ordered off the regular menu once and the brunch menu the second time. The first time my wife had the chicken and dumplings, and my Mississippi girl cleaned her plate. The second time my wife that the biscuits and gravy and I had the biscuit sliders. So good! We also split the cheese grits side. Get them!! Prices are very reasonable, the biscuit sliders were $10 including fried potatoes. Service was excellent. Our food was delivered almost as fast as at the counter service places. The restaurant is in an old storefront with high pressed tin ceilings and tile floors; it can get loud. On Sundays it’s crowded but that adds to the fun. They have gourmet ice cream sandwiches for dessert, but we were too full.

I was having my biannual craving for KFC, I know it's wrong, but I can't help it. If you've tried KFC in NZ or Aussie you know what I'm talking about. Anyway, was scrolling through UberEats and this place popped up. With such good reviews, I had to check it out. Ordered the Sin Killer Breast Sandwich, Hell's Chicken, Dark French Fried Chicken and Brioche Bread Pudding. Sin Killer Breast Sandwich with fries ($12) - Saw the peri-peri in this and had to order it. I just had a bite and it was decent, but probably next time I wouldn't add the cheese on it. And in case you were wondering, it's not the same as Nandos. Hell's Chicken Sandwich with fries ($12) - Thought this would be like Nashville hot chicken, but not quite. Preferred the Sin Killer over this one. Dark French Fried Chicken with fries - 3pcs ($13) - Chicken was tender and the fries were good. The coating was pretty yum, but honestly I didn't find it was anything to rave about. It could have had more flavour/seasoning to it. Brioche Bread Pudding ($7) - Not quite what I expected it to be, more like a muffin. Quantity - Large quantities and very filling. Spice - 2/5 Not really spicy, more flavour. Taste - Definitely better than KFC in that I didn't have that sinking feeling afterwards of regret. It is tasty and chicken is good quality. Service - Adding this in because I called in to add fries for the sides as the option wasn't showing up on UberEats and I also asked for extra seasoning on the fries (yes that was the real reason I called), and this can be a hit and miss with delivery, but they did add it and the fries were yum. With all the glowing reviews I guess I expected a bit more. And I know takeaway isn't always the same as dining in, so I do want to give it another go and dine in. I can't add the .5, but it's actually a 3.5 stars - TBC.

I had a salad. I was worried when the dressing for it was baby poop green but it was sooooo good! It’s my new favorite place in Dallas.

We ate at Street's Fine Chicken last friday night and it was great. You have to try the deviled eggs. They are spicy good! My wife had the fried chicken and I had the roasted and fried chicken. Both were mouth watering delicious. The food was excellent and the service was great. We will be back.

The trip was short from downtown and well worth the effort. Nice golden brown fried chicken with moist hot meat inside. The green beans and coleslaw were a treat.

This is a very nice and different restaurant as the main item are of course....Fried Chicken. It has a great menu and for those that do not want chicken but accompany someone who does, they have burger, pork chop, meatloaf...so you have choices too. Prices are ok depending on how much chicken you order. Side dishes are varied..my favorite is the Gouda/Brie cheese macaroni. The entrees come with a honey glazed biscuit...Yummy! We selected Fried Chicken (2 piece mixed) for one entree - Breast/Leg and Chicken tenders for the other entree. DELICIOUS. Check this place out...get there early for lunch or dinner as it fills up fast. Very friendly and professional waiters, Christopher is the best!

Let me start by saying they don’t skimp on anything! The drinks are filled to the top & refreshing. The hibiscus mint tea is perfect for summer. The Shania Twang, well you can’t have just one. Then there is the chicken. It’s is crisp, juicy, flavorful, & big! It was so so so good! Get more than you think you want because you’ll want to take some home.

We had a friend visiting Dallas from New York City who wanted a Texas-style chicken fried steak. Since we live in Fort Worth, we weren't up on the CFS scene in Dallas. However, one of our favorite places to eat in Dallas was the original Black Eyed Pea, located in the exact same location as Streets. The menu was similar and we hoped we could find same the wonderful CFS and chicken friend chicken at Streets we enjoyed at The Pea. Streets was crowded, which normally is a good sign. However, the food was poor to mediocre. Our friend was only able to eat half of her CFS. Our chicken fried chicken was terrible. The oil in the fryer was obviously not fresh, which ruined our entrees. My wife ordered mashed potatoes, which were almost inedible. I had the cheese grits that weren't much better. My wife and her friend did give a thumbs-up to the brussel spouts. We left feeling very disappointed.

Went to Street’s tonight with a friend. It was very busy but the wait was no more than five minutes. The server was very attentive. I had the Chicken Pot Pie on the recommendation of our server. My friend had the Fried Chicken. Mine was excellent. His was OK. I will definitely return on my next visit to Cedar Springs Road. Rd.

The Street family, whose patriarch was widely known for his home-cooking at the Black-Eyed Pea, the Dixie House, and Good Eats, was acclaimed for his fried chicken as well as his chicken-fried steak. Now, his offspring have returned to his roots, the site of the original Black-Eyed Pea, to upgrade the chicken to a more refined level. The chicken, fried or roasted, is good, moist and well-seasoned, but it is not the ultimate dish that the Dixie House offered for so many years. The decor has moved from down-home Texas to down-home French (provincial). The service is outstanding, with the servers and the owners paying close attention to their customers' needs. Not as many sides are offered as at the previous restaurants, but they are well-prepared. All in all, not the fried chicken nirvana that some of us constantly seek, but a good choice for a neighborhood restaurant.

This place was outstanding! After a recommendation from a friend, I checked out the menu and saw no less than seven things on the menu that interested me. We arrived right when it opened, so we were seated and waited on immediately. The service was attentive and very friendly, making good recommendations for other party members that hadn't researched the menu like I had. Among our group, we got the chicken and dumplings, chicken tenders, fries, mac and cheese, and the honey butter biscuits. Other than the fries, I have to say that there was nothing that wasn't incredible. The fries weren't the greatest, just ordinary fries, but the brie mac and cheese was unbelieveable. It was cheesy, creamy, and just absolutely delicious. It doesn't matter what I get the next time I come here, but the mac and cheese will always be a side dish. It's arguably the best mac and cheese I've ever had (and I've tried A LOT in my life). The chicken and dumplings were a great home cookin' dish with a nice spice that added some extra flavor to it. The chicken tenders were so juicy and lightly breaded, so you get a lot of chicken while not overwhelmed with the breading. Their Sin Killer hot sauce was a great addition to the tenders. Not scorching hot, but provides a great kick to an otherwise perfect tender. This place was just perfect from top to bottom. I'm so glad my first experience was a great one, because now I'm looking forward to going back and trying the other six dishes I'm interested in. This is a can't-miss restaurant whenever you're in the mood for amazing chicken.

Casual dining place that offers tasty food served by a friendly staff. I had the Sin Killer Peri Peri chicken breast and it was great. I saw lots of fried chicken being served but wanted the grilled chicken. They serve fried chicken and waffles at brunch so I'll have to go back and try that sometime. They had a decent wine and beer selection and overall had a nice meal a fair price.

We visited Streets Fine Chicken last night after hearing about it from friends. The building is the original Black Eyed Pea on Cedar Springs and for the most part it's been redone in a intentionally used motif. We went early so we could be seated quickly as they do not take reservations. The wine/drink menu was limited but the wine we had was good and very reasonably priced. I also tried the Ancho del Rey which is similar to a Margarita but it also has ancho syrup, a little sweet and a little spicy, priced right at $8.5. While working on our drinks, we tried the Little Devils, deviled eggs with Siracha...very good and they come 5 to an order so they can obviously be shared. We wanted to try chicken several ways so we shared two orders, the French Fried and the Sin Killer (Peri Peri) which is marinated and grilled. Our fried chicken was very good, crunchy on the outside and the meat was tender and very flavorful. The Sin Killer was excellent, thighs that were tender and with just enough sweet/heat to really enjoy. The dinners come with a side each, we did the black-eyed peas which are good but a very dressed up version of this southern staple. My wife ordered the Creamy Brie Mac N' Cheese which may have been a little over cooked on the top but once we got to the creamy part, the flavor was great and, in fact, creamy. Each meal also comes with a house made biscuit, ours were fresh out of the oven and light with a little honey on the top. Our waiter was Julian, he was very friendly, quick and attentive. We will certainly return and try other dishes including the non-chicken offerings.

Went for Sunday brunch and enjoyed $5 mimosas and bloody mary's. Loved the fried chicken -- brined then battered and fried. Served hot and crispy. Lots of options for bone in, boneless, etc. And the sides were yummy -- spicy collard greens, roasted brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, fries, and more. And the buttermilk biscuits were the best I've ever had. Great service. Great value. Nice dining room as well as bar area. Totally delighted with the entire experience.

We had dinner here and it did not disappoint. The place is roomy and cool, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food amazing. Will definitely come back.

I could not have a higher recommendation than for you to try Streets Fine Chicken!!!!!! Superb!!!! It's the restaurant that took place of the black eyed pea on cedar springs! Best biscuits imaginable! excellent chicken, sides, service, & atmosphere! A++ The staff were friendly and kind. They offered for me to try the different type of teas available and went above and beyond.

Stayed nearby for business and hotel recommended this place which was a short walk. Sat at the bar and had local draft beer which was good. Asked bartenders their favorite offerings which were not the fried chicken. Had to try the fried chicken to see why it was prominently placed in the menu. It was good, but was over cooked and the flavor was OK. Had the grits with it which were very good. My coworker had a chicken sandwich which he said was good, but not as great as recommended. Food was good, but pricy for what was provided.

Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese top shelf. Great service and staff! Nice clean Resturant, friendly atmosphere.

We had chicken dumpling (the soup is very flavorful but the dumpling is a bit soft), lollipop chicken (a bit over cooked but tasty, a bit like Japanese flavor), three piece chicken (tasty but a bit oily) and kids meal. Good local fountain drinks - not the type of popular flavor but very good.

This location formerly housed Black Eyed Pea so when i realized chicken was on their menu, i was excited. I ordered a salad w/ chicken strips-you can get your chicken roasted, in strips or grilled. My companion ordered chicken & dumplings w/mashed potatoes & we shared the Brie Macaroni & Cheese. My chicken was nothing special especially for the price. My companion enjoyed his food but I didn't taste anything special about the dish. The Brie was delicious & definitely will order it if we ever return. The wait person was personable when she initially greeted us but never returned to fill our drinks & we had to get her attention regarding the long wait for our food (approximately 45 min.) for which she never gave us a reason. I would return for the Brie Macaroni & Cheese if i could be assured I wouldn't have to wait as long as on this occasion & i would likely not order the chicken since there is nothing special about it.

We had a great meal here. The chicken was delicious as were the sides. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Try the chicken lollipops! Reasonably priced!

Four of us stopped in for dinner on May 15, 2023. We were looking for good southern cooking, and we were not disappointed. We ordered three entrees to split between two adults and two children (ages 6 and 3). The moppets and she whom I love wanted chicken pot pie, so we ordered two of those. I opted for the single breast and wing fried chicken. Our sides were garlic green beans, Brussells sprouts, and black-eyed peas. It seems increasingly difficult to find good fried chicken these days. In my experience, I can count the number of restaurants on one hand that serve up truly good southern fried chicken. Street's gets it right. I'm fortunate that I live 286 miles away, or I most assuredly would send myself to the poor house by eating out too frequently. The pot pies also were quite tasty. As for the sides, the kids loved the garlic green beans, which were appropriately crisp and seasoned perfectly. The Brussells sprouts also were well seasoned and prepared in the southern style. They were thoroughly cooked, maintaining enough firmness to satisfy those who prefer al dente vegetables. Frankly, the peas were a disappointment. Mind you, the kids and my partner in life seemed to enjoy them, but I found them far too mushy. In all fairness, mushy legumes seem to be standard preparation in southern kitchen tradition, so I'm probably outside the mainstream with my preference for lightly boiled, firm peas. I would be remiss if I concluded this review without mentioning the sweet tea. All too commonly, when I order sweet tea in restaurants, I have to ask for sugar to sweeten it up. Not at Street's. The tea was magnificent! Don't miss out on it. This is not a fancy, fine dining establishment. It's a diner, and it's all about the chicken. The grub is good, and the service is friendly and excellent. I'll be back the next time we're asked to babysit the grandkids.

The food and service are excellent. I had the chicken & waffles…superb! Nice friendly vibe. Plan to go again later this week.

Overall the Chicken is pretty good, albeit a little pricey for fried chicken. Appetizers and drinks were also pretty good. Bottom line is they have done a great job with the updating of the old Blackeyed Pea space and I certainly plan on going back!,

While on vacation in Dallas, we took my daughter's advice and tried Street's Fine Chicken. I had the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and brussel sprouts. My son had the dark meat fried chicken, so naturally I had to try that as well. Everything was delicious with the right amount of breading and seasoning. The chicken was moist and tender. I will definitely go back the next time we're in Dallas.

Wow! My partner and I had an amazing first-time experience at Street's Fine Chicken on Cedar Springs Road! The chicken was packed with so much flavor and seasoning that we couldn't get enough. And don't even get me started on the desserts - they were absolutely amazing! But what really made our experience unforgettable was our server, Casey. His upbeat personality had us laughing the entire time, and his warm welcome made us feel right at home. Thanks to Casey's fantastic customer service, we are already planning our next visit to Street's Fine Chicken!
Very good
Went to the new location on Inwood and forest. Very expel e for chicken. Service was slow but the chicken was very good. Cole slaw was good unfortunately you need to make sure that you get all the water out of the Cole slaw before you mix in the dressing.
