Classy restaurant, superb dinner, service. A Landry's restaurant.

By mbf18 |

Elegant decor, and superb dinner! Attentive service, didn't know it was part of Landry's, one of the best we've been to...Loved deep red colors, big booth for 2 of us...quiet space between diners. We were there to see shows, not to gamble, this restaurant is a 'winner' in all ways! Generous birthday dessert. Recommend advance reservation.

Very good steakhouse

By jimles7 |

We enjoyed the Strip House at the Planet Hollywood resort. We had the ribeyes 1 regular and 1 dry aged to compare the differences. I didn't care for the dry aged and thought the regular was much better. To each his own. Also had the goose fat potatoes and spinach black truffle. Service was excellent. Dark but classy place.

Dark and Overpriced

By Travel Loving Canuck |

The restaurant is very dark, which might be nice for a romantic dinner, but I was there with colleagues and found that it was like sitting in a room with red drapes over the lightbulbs. I knew going in that the prices would be on the higher end, but for a full meal you're looking at $150 per person, and that's not including wine! When looking at the menu, just remember that your $60 steak comes with NO SIDES! The steak itself was good, which is why I'm giving 3 stars rather than 1. Oh, and a glass of wine will start at $30.

Great dinner

Everything was excellent. Food quality was excellent. Shrimp cocktail was great. Steak was sensational. Service was very good. And the kamacazi cocktail was super good. We really enjoy our first experience at the strip house. We would return. Not inexpensive.

Amazing steaks and phenomenal tasting butter!

By Melissa J |

My husband and I ate here and we cannot wait to go back. The steaks were amazing and the sides are huge and delicious. But the most amazing thing is the butter. I think there are magic fairies in the back churning it fresh, it was so good. I had the butterflied filet and my husband had the sirloin. Everything was cooked to our specifications. We started the meal with shrimp cocktail. We also enjoyed generous servings of French fries and sautéed mushrooms. My only complaint was I wish they had a white dinner roll. We unfortunately did not have room for dessert we did want to try the chocolate cake. Maybe next time. All in all we enjoyed our meal immensely and we will be back!

OMG

By tdelong17 |

Our incredibly knowledgeable waiter, Steven, suggested the American Wagyu ribeye Cap steak at $89 a pop. Yea sure, almost twice what most of us have ever paid for a steak in our lives. After a couple cocktails we decided what the heck, you can’t take it with you, and four of the six of us ordered. It was cooked to perfection, fork tender and melted in your mouth. OMG best steak and service I’ve ever had. Appetizers were great, sides were large and delicious and, believe it or not we shared a couple awesome deserts. So memorable, we did it all again two days later sans the appetizers and deserts. Private Company so no worries stockholders, just celebrating a good year thanks to President Trump.

Good food, service was so so

By Ry A |

My clients had picked another venue in planet Hollywood, but we ended up here because of the short wait. The food was all good. The service didn't live up to a restaurant of this caliber.

Under cooked Steak

By Joshymagic |

My last evening in Las Vegas I decided on a Steak so went to Strip House within Planet Hollywood. I ordered Filet It turned up and looked great however as I started getting into it I realised it was cooked rare and I’d asked for medium, I left 1/2 of it, the waiter did ask if I wanted it reheated, I declined as 1 I don’t like steak reheated and 2nd the chef at a good restaurant should be able to cook a medium steak without problem. I was charged my full bill with no offer to take off the wine or any discount

Great food!

By lvblonde |

Our steaks were great! the atmosphere is wonderful with the old Vegas feel. Would definitely eat there again.Great way to celebrate Christmas.

Phenomenal

By Urbie99 |

My husband and I shared the steak for two. This was seared to perfection. The chef brings out the huge slab of meat and cuts it evenly for two and plates it to perfection. Vegetables were served family style. Even they were melt in your mouth great. I highly recommend the Strip House. The photos decorations were unique from the by-gone era of burlesque. Wish we had more time to look at the photos. Service was superb.

Listen to your customers

By carssj |

I’ve been to this restaurant several times. I’ve always enjoyed it. I always order the same meal. Bone in ribeye Mac n cheese with lobster. This time my steak was very dark with a perfect medium rare. However the steak was extremely heavy with pepper. Almost to spicy to eat. Every thing else was great Unfortunately when I was asked how everything was and told him I was lectured on their signature seasoning Toooo much pepper and I love pepper

Great steak but I’ve had better for less

By Audray89 |

Great atmosphere and place but being on the strip it’s a little too expensive for the quality. That being said we had a great meal and the portions are very big so order with that in mind. If you want something other than steak this is not the right place :P

Overpriced, bad food and very slow service.

By marmie1a |

We met the manager Shawn at the door. He was great. Even gave us a free dessert because it was date night. It was downhill after that. We ordered a wedge salad to split. The smallest round lettuce balls I have ever seen..didn’t even know they grew that way. Usually wedge salads are large. Not enough blue cheese but other than that, it was good, then lobster chowder was excellent. We ordered the porterhouse to split on our waiter’s recommendation.. it was $129. It was cold when it came out, cooked very unevenly..well done on some spots and medium on other. The filet side was good but the rest of the steak was not. I left a lot on my plate because of the fat. For that price I I should have been able to eat the entire steak. It was also dry…no juice anywhere. The baked potato was just ordinary. I was looking forward to the 24 layer chocolate cake for dessert. It was beautiful but bitter. Not sweet at all. Our bill with tip was cover $300 even tho we split everything. Very disappointed. Also service was extremely slow.

Solid meal

By PM |

Located in the Planet Hollywood resort this steakhouse doesn’t have the hype surrounding it that many of its peers do. I ate at the bar and enjoyed the ribeye and a baked potato. The food was very good as was the service provided. All in all, a very good dining experience.

23rd Wedding Anniversary

By Glen S |

Celebrated our 23rd Wedding Anniversary and it was the best experience ever!! Everyone was amazing. It made our trip. Our anniversary trip to Vegas did not start as planned and our dinner at the Strip Housed changes that for the better. Highly recommend.

Good Food, Great Atmosfear, and Attentive Staff

By charles s |

On our last trip to Vegas we found ourselves at our hotel around 10pm after our flight in, and starving. We asked the front desk for recommendations for something close and they recommended the Strip House. Stecks were good well cooked and seasoned, with sides that made the meal. Both me and my wife had the filiets and the asparagus and twice baked potatoes. The staff was great and helped us navigate the menu, and made sure our glasses where never even close to empty. Overall a little spendy for this type of stake house outside of Vegas, but probably fairly normaly priced given the high end culinary scene in Vegas.

24 Layer Chocolate Cake

By Kristen J |

I can not write enough wonderful things about this restaurant, the staff, drinks and the cake. I only had dessert here but the atmosphere was fun, the staff knowledgable and friendly and the cake... the 24 layer chocolate cake was one of the best things I've ever eaten.

Food & Servers

The food was so good and the service was very good. Overall eat there you won't regret it. They have a big menu and will have something for you no matter who you are.

Juan apparently walked off the job before we were even able to order our drinks

By Neoheurist |

After seeing the Criss Angel show (first one after the pandemic) we decided to try the Strip House for a late dinner. We were seated right away and greeted by Juan, provided drink and dinner menus. We indicated that we were fine with ice water and then Juan disappeared for 25 minutes. Our ice water did arrive shortly after Juan departed... But we were totally ignored for the entire time we patiently waited - I was ready to walk out after 15 minutes but my wife advised that I be patient, so I gave Juan a further 5 minutes before we left. On our way out I complained to the hostess who wanted to get us some assistance, but at this point my patience was gone as I was very hungry verging on hangry... I don't know what the issue was... But I will not be visiting this presumed restaurant the next time I am in Las Vegas

Nice resaurant with plenty of menu options.

By Sally H |

We made early reservations so as to get dinner before the rush. My friend's steak was great, the ceasar salad was a bit fishy, but my rack of lamb came almost raw to the table, and I ordered medium well done. I sent it back and it still came back rare. I was very disappointed as I had looked forward to my meal all week.

Birthday Dinner

By mrsjterrell |

Yes we are those people that our kids to nice places. If mama and daddy want to eat well, then the kids come with. Yes we did get some eye rolls from diners but not the staff. Everyone was so nice and happy to see us. We had excellent Pinot Noir wine (great selection) and a truffled blue cheese martini. Then came the Caesar salad. A little strong for my taste but I compare all Caesar’s to Edith’s in Cabo. Just hard to ever top that classic legend. The creamed spinach and roasted garlic cloves were amazing. Amazing. Steaks were ok but it was the sides that made it. Don’t forget the kids meal grilled cheese. Out of this world best grilled cheese. Everyone should order this even if you are over 3. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!!!

$$$$$$

Not the best steak ever. $547. For 4 people. Sides were the best part. Definitely have had a better steak at our local bar in Philly area.

Birthday celebration before the Luke Bryan concert

By Cherie S |

Honestly, 3 is a stretch but with all due respect, the other 3 people in our party had a little bit better food than I did. I had the smaller of the 2 filets. I ordered it medium. It was medium well, dry and other than the pepper cooking method, tasteless. The Brussels sprouts were blah. The 1000 potatoes our friend ordered weren’t very good. My husband had the sea bass and said it was good. Our friends each had the aged ribeyes and said the y were good, cooked medium rare the way they ordered them. The two salads were okay, nothing to brag about. So here’s the deal, for the $450 plus tip which also included only 1 drink, I was mad. Never again will I go there. My cooking is WAY better! The waiter was fine, nothing over and above. The person filling our water glasses was by far the best of the whole experience. I expect more for the money we spent. SAD

Allways a great steak

By Frank J |

We can give Strip House Las Vegas our very best recommendations. We have visited the restaurant in New York City as well, service as well as quality is in the high end, all the staff was very nice and helpfull, location is inside the Planet Hollywood Hotel on the 1st floor

Absolutely amazing

By Graham2412 |

Had dinner here on our last night in Vegas - best decision we made! The service and food were both out of this world. We (foolishly) ordered starters. I had the tuna tartar. My fiance had the caeser salad. Both were absolutely fantastic. My fiance didn't finish her starter (she knew she wouldn't manage her main course if she did) and the server came over after someone else cleared the plates to make sure everything was ok. We had the Chateaubriand for main course and it was perfectly cooked. Our server did advise not to order 2 sides as it would be too much but we thought she was exaggerating. She wasn't. Between the steak and the sides, we didn't make dessert (no matter how much I wanted it). If I had to guess though, I would expect it to be as fantastic as everything else. Truly excellent!

Nice restaurant in seedy hotel.

By 812841 |

The Planet Holly is not anywhere to stay any more and this hidden gem may suffer because of it. Food is wonderful, portions fair and wait staff attentive. Very difficult to reach when the show is underway, people constantly yelling which line is which, signage, people, signage.

Great restaurant

By 'DTK'UItraveler |

This place has great classy atmosphere - food was phenomenal and the server was as good as it gets! We sat at a table for 6 just as you walk in the restaurant past the bar and did not get our servers name but he was so good

Best steak ever

By Cassidy |

We went to eat at the Strip House on a Wednesday night. At first, we found it a little pricy but decided to go in anyway. Best decision. We hate the best steak ever, and all the rest of the food was also very nice. Had a great evening, eventhough we found that the service was a little snob.

Nice Atmosphere, Disappointing Food

By Matt C |

Visited the restaurant as part of a package with a concert. The steak was excellent and cooked exactly as requested. Unfortunately the Chicken main was very dry and considering it was a quiet time no real excuse for that. They did take the price off the bill which was good customer service however.

One of the best steakhouses in Las Vegas and there are a lot of them

By vanblarson |

One of the best steakhouses in Las Vegas and there are a lot of them.$$$$, great selections ,large servings

Definitely an enjoyable meal!

By bazbaz65 |

Got a great corner table (late reservation made that easier, I suspect) and our waiter, Valentine (sp?) was friendly and attentive. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and felt that the coating overpowered the taste of the squid. The rest of the meal, however, was delicious. Ribeye, baked potato, asparagus and mushrooms - all cooked perfectly. We very much enjoyed our meal!

If you like your steak chewy....

By Ken C |

By far the most disappointing meal of my week in Las Vegas. One of the chewiest steaks I've had in many years.

Awesome!

Best bone in ribeye anywhere. Spice on outside was perfect. Creamed spinach was perfect. Good service.

Bad, Overpriced Food, Horrible Service and Bad Atmosphere

By shellyc653 |

I ate here with my sister to celebrate Mother's Day. We made our reservation through open table but had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Worst choice ever. Waiter keep trying to get us to spend more money. He sold us on the Wagyu steak with pepper crust but steak was too salty and not tender or enjoyable. He should have told us not to order sauces on the side with the seasoning or to skip the seasoning. Regardless it was terrible. The Mac n cheese and other sides were cold and not enjoyable. Waiter kept trying to get us to order liquor and wine but we refused because we don't drink. He then tried to get us to buy dessert which we did not want. He was a terrible waiter. The food was not good and overpriced. The restaurant was packed with no social distancing at all which was very uncomfortable. The bill was almost $300.00 Worst money I ever spent. I got a call from the manager and while he listened he offered me nothing. The least he could have done was offer me a refund on my steak and the cold sides. He offered nothing - no surprise. It was a waste of my time. I will never dine here again. It was an awful experience. I don't recommend this place. Eat anywhere but there.

Excellent food and service

By Christopher J |

If you love steak and good food visit here. Yes the prices are high and everything is a separate cost, so be ready for that. We tried the caramelized bacon for an appetizer, more like ham slice; but it didn't have enough caramel on it to make much of a difference. We both had the filet, one medium rare and one medium well and they were both done to perfection. We shared the Lobster Mac n Cheese, it was delicious. The service was excellent and we were treated by not only the wait staff but management as they came around and talked with us on more than one occasion.

Excellent dinner

Excellent food and service. Steak was done perfectly. The truffle spinach is the best we've ever had. Service was excellent. Our server was very attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Best Cake We Have Eaten on the Strip

By Treker650 |

We stopped in for dessert, and more specifically the 24 layer cake. It was moist, decadent and yet not filling. The sweetness and chocolaty flavors were perfectly balanced. The slice of cake was enough to serve 4-6 people and probably weighed about 1.5 pounds if not more. We can't wait to go back for another slice!

Sadly this will be our last time eating here.

By JimandMaryEllyn |

We've eaten at the Strip House 4 timies now. The first two times were wonderful. The lasat time we had terrible service. This time the food was bad and the manager was snippy about it. 4 out of 5 of us ordered steak. All with pepper crust. We ll wound up scraping it off of our steaks as it was so strong it was overpowering the taste of the steak.. Additionally the goose fat potatoes , one of our favorite side dishes were soggy and greasy. When the manager came around to see how we liked our meal we all told him that the pepper was too strong and his reply was "have you ever had pepper crusted steak before? It's suppose to be like that!" Well we've had pepper crusted steak not only at other restaurants but also at Srip House and it never was like this. It was so strong all you tasted was pepper! Additionally if 4 out of 5 of us didn't like it he should have been more courteous and respectful in his response. Our waiter was excellent this time but this is two strikes in two visits and with so many places to choose from we don't wish to try again.

Great food

By Charlette W |

I ended up picking this restaurant after reading the reviews and also since we stayed in Planet hollywood. I am glad I went with this restaurant because the steaks melted in your mouth. That was the best steak I have ever had in my life. The pepper crust was not overbearing even though we told our waitress to tell them to go easy on the pepper. We had the asparagus and twice potatoes and they also great. Next time I am in Vegas, we will definitely be back.

Great steak

By blur918 |

My wife and I ate at Striphouse after I finished the rock n roll half marathon. I felt like hell afterward the race but I was glad I didn't cancel my reservation because it was a great meal. We started by splitting the iceberg salad. It was very good and they made sure to bring out extra dressing just in case we wanted more. We both had the filet. Their steaks are crusted with pepper and salt and were very tasty and were very tender. Get the butter with it. You'll like it. The strip house potatoes are a mashed potato gratin and they were good that night and the next day as well. My wife finished up with the 24 layer chocolate cake. She said it was very good and it's a lot of cake!

Awesome Dinner

By YEP2 |

Had dinner here Saturday night and everything was great. One of the best steaks I have had ever. They have a great salt crust on the steak which our whole table thought was perfect. Nice seafood tower and the sides were all excellent. Service was great and the total bill was quite reasonable, not what you would call cheap but for Vegas it definitively wasn't crazy. Fully recommend trying this place

Underwhelmed

By Lois H |

We both had steak, and it was done perfectly, and very good, but less than excellent. Everything is a la cart, which makes sides quite expensive, however, the sides we got were scrumptious and huge servings. We could easily have shared the awesome spinach with black truffle sauce, as it came in a separate carafe. Decor is dark and elegant.

Stunning

By star_girl8646 |

I came here with friends to have a nice dinner while visiting Las Vegas. The restaurant was beautiful. The service was absolutely amazing. I had the lobster bisque which was very tasty and I also had the lamb which was cooked perfectly. We ordered a bunch of sides and they were all excellent quality. We were all very full by the end of our main meal but decided to order these signature 24 layer chocolate cake to share between us. It was very decadent and a very very large serve. We couldn't finish it between 5 of us so don't make the mistake of ordering more than one if you just want to try it depending on the size of your group. Overall an amazing experience.

Great Meal

By vegasexpert2020 |

Had dinner at the Strip House at Planet Hollywood. The restaurant has a good atmosphere about it and the service was very good. Had the Filet and it was very good. They are known for their 24 layer chocolate cake and I highly recommend saving room for it to finish off your meal.

Incredible food

We visited the strip house for our first time last night we just came across it when visiting planet Hollywood for a concert.I can assure you by the end we were glad we found it. Staff were top class setting was perfect nothing was a problem.we both got steak a fillet and a rib eye.the mac and cheese was delicious. Now for someone who has never eaten spinach I have to admit I have never tasted anything as good We would highly recommend for food if visiting Las Vegas 👌🏻

Meat Paradise

By Todd C |

October is my annual guys trip to Vegas. We try to do something different every time. One of the guys suggested Strip House @ Planet Hollywood. Glad he did. We had a fantastic experience. Food, service and atmosphere were awesome. Our server was very friendly and attentive to every need. We were seated in a room just off the bar with a large screen TV so we could watch the World Series. The Steak was amazing. Great flavor and cooked perfect to everyone’s request. Highly recommend if you are staying in Vegas or on the strip to give it a try. Outstanding food experience.

Greta Steaks in the Planet Hollywood Hotel, 2nd floor

By TripsToSearchAdvice4 |

We did a last minute reservation for three through OpenTable, and got a great table at the side of the main dining room. Lightning is cozy, noise level in the fully booked restaurant was rather high. Steaks were great, well cooked, and our waitress mentioned the peppercorn crusted preparation of the filet and strip steaks while taking the order. Not sure if could opt out of that if you are not in spicy pepper steaks. The wine list is a bit on the high side with regards to pricing for California wines, so we went with a Washington red wine that was a great choice.

Excellent steaks.

By Joe V |

My 8oz filet was cooked to the perfect temperature and very crusted. My expectation was exceeded. Sides are ala carte, $16 and sized for two. For two diners, you end up with the least mutually disliked dish. Even if the dish was remarkable, it isn’t what you wanted. We opted for creamed spinach. It was good, but it was still creamed spinach & was left unfinished. The Striphouse has a comprehensive wine list with selections suitable to most price points. My 6oz pour of Chianti Reserva was very nice, but not a palatable value at $50. The Striphouse is a steakhouse and the steak cut and cook were as excellent, hence the 5 star rating.

Excellent Service and Value

By Traveller222 |

We sat in the lounge and stayed for dinner. Service was friendly and efficient. The manager heard we were Canadian and came over for a nice chat, as he is also Canadian. The “half” seafood platter was amazing and a great value for the price. I had the 20oz bone-in New York with bleu cheese crust and my companion had filet mignon. Both were absolutely wonderful. Dirty martinis and a glass of red made the perfect evening. I will be back and recommend. Thanks!

A hidden gem

By tomb4201 |

Nice to find a low key but excellent restaurant in the middle of the strip. the food is great, the service professional and attentive without being intrusive. Good bar, nice selection on the menu, and excellent wait staff (we have eaten there multiple times and all staff, Buffy, Juan, or Scott, were great). Good steaks, great sides, good drinks in a quiet atmosphere. Well worth checking out.

Steak House on the STRIP

By Amanda D |

There are a lot of Steak Houses on the Vegas Strip to choose from. We chose The Strip House based on a friend's recommendation and it did not disappoint. Everything is a la carte. We both ordered the filet mignon, the taste did not disappoint; however, we were disappointed in the lack of tenderness of the beef. All of the sides are sharable. We decided on the mac and cheese and the Strip House potatoes. One of the best mac and cheese dishes we've ever had! The Strip House potatoes, which are twice baked potato gratin, and they were A.MAZ.ING! The service was great, the ambiance was very nice, and the price was typical for a steak house in Vegas. We would recommend to others who are visiting Vegas.

Great atmosphere And steaks

By cy91clone |

We have booked on table and had to change reservation which they accommodated. Great place for steaks if you enjoy a steak less than well done. I love a medium to medium rare steak, but others like it a touch up from well done which they had difficulty meeting that desire. Charred top and still steak not cooked past medium. I think a steak past medium loses taste so it’s a bit sacrilegious to order filet anything more done than medium, so I loved the meal. The strip potatoes are highly recommended!

excellent service and food

By Writerwife |

We loved everything about our visit to the Strip House. The food was amazing (filet with blue cheese) our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful. Decor was great...overall just a wonderful visit.

First time here, not my last

By NeecieG |

Table of four with a reservation for 7:00 on a Sunday night. The restaurant was completely full, but we were seated by 7:15 and the service was excellent. Favorites at the table: Caesar salad with anchovy paste, 14 oz dry-aged ribeye and Striphouse potatoes. The server described all steaks has having a ‘salt and pepper char crust’ and we found this to be an excellent preparation of the ribeye. The complimentary pretzel bread was a nice touch and paired well with the perfectly prepared dirty martinis with blue cheese olives. Striphouse potatoes are a rich, creamy version of au gratin and I would recommend them over the goose fat potatoes we also tried. The crab cake was ok, but most of the flavor came from the kimchi not really the crab cake itself. The restaurant has an old-school feel being dark and decorated with red leather booths, which we enjoyed, but just know that it is not a quiet place when all the tables are full because seating is close together. It’s more of a lively steak house with an upscale feel than a quiet romantic spot. I would return to this restaurant and hopefully save room for dessert because their chocolate cake looks delicious

Excellent Dining Experience

By TDWolsey |

Forget that below you is a casino. Once you are inside the Strip House, you will feel just like you've entered a bygone era of quality dining. This restaurant is not for those on a budget, but the food is well worth every penny. The hostesses greeted me with a smile and my table was ready per my reservation. My server was Carlos, and if you are fortunate enough to have him serve you, you will be in good hands. Carlos could answer every question I asked about the wine, the cocktails, the steaks, and more. The ribeye--perfectly prepared. Asparagus--deliciously crisp and fresh. I'll definitely be back. Pro-tip: Look for the Mezz and take the escalators to the top. You'll see the Strip House to your left.

Lovely setting, feels like an old fashion East coast restaurant.

By Evita_1957 |

We went for diner and had a good meal, good service and although the price is not cheap, it was worth it.

Fantastic food

By Miche Louise |

I ALWAYS go to the Striphouse at Planet Hollywood casino on the Vegas strip. Food AWESOME, great service. Just to let you know it's worth every penny...on average with no alcohol $100 per person. Try the bacon appetizer, I have it ALWAYS. Daniel (one of the managers) going to EVERY SINGLE TABLE to make sure everyone liked their food. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Vegas!

Great Meal! A little pricy but expected of Vegas

Wonderful food and service. Food was cooked perfectly! Cauliflower was wonderful and spinach sides were fantastic! Shared the 24 layer chocolate cake 🍰 between all 4 of us. Yummy!

One Of My Favorite In Las Vegas

By Ivan C |

This is definitely one of my favorite steak houses in Las Vegas. Bae and I each got the The New York 16 oz and we shared the brussels sprouts. We also shared the roasted bacon app and it was more than enough food for us both. The service was great and the dirty martinis just made dinner that much better. This place is on my top 3 list of favorites in Las Vegas.

Mouth watering steaks

The dark and moody ambiance plays into the feel of flavors. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Make a reservation and be warned that if easily offended or conservative, the walls are lined with photos of nudes.

First On Any Vegas Restaurant Checklist

By The Autistic Traveler |

I can’t adequately elucidate how fantastic my experience at Planet Hollywood’s lush outpost of Strip House truly was, as the only remedy is to visit the place yourself. But PLEASE take my word: Eat here when in Vegas, and you won’t be disappointed. - The ambiance is more than ideal for a romantic evening, holiday dinner, business outing, and (in my case) solo splurge. The walls are painted a luxurious crimson, on which black and white portraits of celebrity icons (and patrons?!) spiral the spacious dining hall. It’s the quintessential environment you’d imagine for an upmarket, deluxe steakhouse, chophouses of the likes you’d get in Vegas, New York, or any other world city. The lighting is perfectly dim, the tables and chairs are perfectly paired together, and it’s all just spot-on. -COVID precautions were expertly followed and enforced. Nevada laws pertaining to indoor dining capacity were adhered to, and I felt safe. A nearby customer had somewhat of a coughing fit during my meal, and although we were distanced, I moved a bit further away and the staff were understanding of my decision. - Service was five-star and truly representative of how much Strip House is an asset to the city’s hospitality industry. Thanks to Valentin for serving me super professionally, attentively, and cordially—I made sure to tip him generously! - Chef Dustin Rexby has undoubtedly nailed the art of meat (and 24-layer cake!!) down to a science. My dish was spectacular, the meat impeccably tender and juicy, well-proportioned, and high-quality. For such an outstanding flavor, I was impressed at the significant portion sizes I received (and being such a fancy place!). No Strip House review should ever neglect mentioning the famous signature 24-layer chocolate cake for dessert, which I thoroughly enjoyed and checked off as a long-time bucket list item. I still dream about and crave the food I got, all the way home in Southern Indiana! - Lastly, I wish to commend one of the hosts as well for sending a follow-up voicemail to me a few days after dining, thanking me for coming and affirming my experience was excellent. Such a gesture is extremely kind and above-and-beyond the call of duty; I just can’t praise the service enough! Thank you for a dinner I will never forget! Go to Strip House ASAP!

Perfect Steak !

By Mr D |

First timers in the Strip house, it was a little bit difficult to find. When we got to the restaurant we had to wait for 5 minutes so the tables could be made ready, though we could immediately be seated at the bar. We waited for a table but when we walked in about 50% or more of the tables were not occupied. Food served was excellent.

Amazing

By blondiearnp |

This gem is hidden in Planet Hollywood on the Mezzanine level. The steak is to die for! It is totally one of the best steak houses in Vegas. Love the house sauce too! Staff was wonderful and service excellent!

Exceptional

By David J |

After so many mediocre so called 5* steak houses we decided to try this as seeings how there so convenient and very glad we did. Very nice ambiance with nice character pictures, seemed a bit dark to start after bright casino but adjusted. Not most comfortable seats and could use some more non shrimp based seafood but service and food were outstanding and we even found a great wine at a good price. So would highly recommend and we will be back even if not seeing a show here.

Excellent dinner location for small group

By DLNY1 |

We had 13 in our group and enjoyed a private dining area with a pre set four course menu that I chose. Everything from the ambiance, the staff, food and drink were perfect. We were in a private room and got a little loud but with the door closed the diners just outside our room barely noticed it. Yes, we did ask them. I highly recommend the bacon appetizer, the mashed goose fat potatoes and of course the 24 layer chocolate cake.

A busy steakhouse , who keep it old school , steaks cooked black and pink , top quality meat cooked with respect and care , excellent, service was a bit slow but worth the wait

Dinner, as an "experience:

By CaraDmakes3 |

During SEMA made reservations and sat for dinner on a Tuesday night. Server was good, drinks and service was very slow. Steaks were HEAVY crusted in peppercorns a served with whole garlic. Steak was well cooked and a great cut of meat (bone in rib eye) but too much pepper and no mention of that prior to ordering. Without excess pepper 5 stars for sure.

Take out Chocolate cake

By Pete4vol |

We stopped in solely to pick up the 24 layer chocolate cake. It was DELICIOUS, and massive. Two of us shared the cake for two days! The service was kind and professional while we were there, but we didn't spend much time there so can only speak to the quality of the delicious chocolate cake! At 18 dollars for a slice, it wasn't cheap, but it was worth it.

Amazing dinner and ambiance

By Ars1300 |

We had amazing service. The ambience in this restaurant is very nice. The steaks were amazing. Sides are served family style and were very good. The shrimp cocktails have very large delicious shrimp! We typically have gone to Hugo’s cellar but agree we enjoyed this steak restaurant more now. Worth the price for a nice meal.

Wedding anniversary dinner

By Ammosting |

1st time visit. We're staying at Planet Hollywood for our 33rd anniversary and was looking for somewhere for dinner. We booked our stay ahead of time and found out about Steak House. Made our reservations ahead of time. Love the old school vibe of the place as well as the music. It was a little pricey but well worth it. The food was outstanding. Highly recommend.

Very good steak here

By colin66Herriman |

This is a very good place to eat, amazing food and amazing service. We are here as a large group and they were very organized and in top of drinks and food. Great menu and drink menu as well. The atmosphere is perfect here and I highly recommend it

Steaks to absolutely die for

By Loves_to_travel1955 |

We recently had the total pleasure of dining at The Strip House, one of the finest steak houses hidden away upstairs in Planet Hollywood. You enter past a small podium and are escorted into a dark, rich, romantic restaurant. My husband and I got a perfect corner booth overlooking the whole dining room. The serving staff was right on point, we had 5 star service all evening. I ordered prime ribeye and it was honestly the best steak I've ever eaten. With a football sized baked potato and lovely fresh vegetables. My husband had a huge strip steak that melted in his mouth. People were buzzing about one of the specialties of the house, a dark chocolate cake (4 different kinds of chocolate). We witnessed a man come in and order coffee and the cake. He told us he always dreamed of eating dessert for dinner. We will be back as soon as we can make it.

Great steak and cocktails

By Kayleigh |

The steak is cooked to perfection! The baked Alaska is amazing and the goose fat potatoes are just 🤤 it’s a really nice place. Busier than we remembered it to be and staff are nice enough. This is not affordable dining, it’s high class (to a level) and a great treat when in Vegas.

Pretty awesome food

By DGrigs |

Pretty amazing food, however the tables are crammed super close together and you barely have room for all the plates! Haha We had the small seafood plateau, and the seafood was amazing. But you must try their strip house potatoes!!! Best we ever had!! Didn’t take any pictures due to the fact that it’s dark as hell in there!

Great staff and food.

By 599RobertB |

Streaks were very good and the lobster was de-shelled and ready to dip in butter. The presentation of the food was like a piece of art. This is fine dining.

A wonderful experience every time...

By Melo |

I usually wait until I have tried a place multiple times before leaving a very high review. Strip House has been my go to for steak in Vegas for the better part of 5 years. I've never had a bad experience in regards to food, preparation, service, ambiance, or value. Is it expensive? Of course it is, just like every other great steak house, but it is worth it. They know how to create that perfect crisp exterior that few restaurants can match, and their particular seasoning has just the right amount of spice for my taste. The sides can be shared, the bar menu is extensive, and the service is always impeccable. I would recommend it to anyone

Wonderful steak

By Texas_USA_traveler |

Aftet a long hot day on the strip we ended up having dinner here. That being said no one was super hungry. Between group we had steak filet, grilled chicken, and salmon. Filet was season well and very tender. Best steak I have ever tasted. Chicken and salmon also seasoned and cooked well. We order sides of their brocollini and house special au gratin potatoes with cheese, bacon, and chilies. Brocollini was actually only regular steamed broccoli... call it what it is Strip House. Potatoes were very good and had nice kick. Everyone left full even though sides and a bit skimpy for price but what I would expect from a steakhouse. Unless you are a wine/alcohol drinker there are not many options other than a few sodas and a BOTTLED iced team... bottled, come on, you can at least have regular iced tea. We all ended up with water. Rather disappointed there.

Steak was burned 🔥 no good steak house

By Yadami Travel Everywhere |

The service at the restaurant is good but the food no. The steak was burned outside 🔥, and my husband got stomachache after dinner. Lobster bisque was good but not what I expected. Sparagous sauce was too sticky. I hate when people make good reviews when they are not like that. I traveled to Las vegas many times, and this is the worst steak house. 😫 paying for no to get a good food 😞

INCREDIBLE STEAK, GREAT SERVICE

By Brian C |

We were going to see Def Leppard at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood and needed a solid dining option. Based on strong reviews I selected Strip House. I'm so glad I made this choice. Although a bit pricey, the food, service and environment was excellent. I had the Cesar salad to start, the 14 ounce Rib Eye and twice backed potatoes gratin. I washed all of this down with amazing house champagne. Warning, I was told the chocolate cake was amazing,...and if you are a chocolate nut, you might find it to be amazing, but for me,...it was not good. Way too dense. As a total experience, you cant beat Strip House. Very impressive. .

Good Food in a Burlesque Theme

By saberus |

Apparently starting as a 1930s Burlesque themed establishment in New York, they’ve now expanded to Vegas, which seems like a natural fit. The walls are adorned with plenty of art of 1930s Burlesque performers, and the atmosphere and decor suit the theme. Overall, the food was good, well cooked, and the flavours were balanced. I was excited by the idea of “1000 layer goose fat potatoes” but unfortunately they were the weakest part of the experience by far.

All round winner for dinner

By LJDorey |

I absolutely loved this place, from the warm welcome when we arrived, the great service and amazing food. We booked in advance using Opentable, and was glad that we did as it was busy. We had starters and mains, the portion sizes were very generous! No way we could manage deserts, but did see the size of the chocolate cake when it was served to the table next door, it could have served all four of us easily, it was massive. If I had one small complaint- it was quite chilly in the restaurant, but I’ve found this in other restaurants and was prepared for it.

Great Steak

By Bob C |

For a great strip steak encrusted in salt and pepper, cooked to perfection, served hot and juicy by a fantastic waitstaff, the Strip House is your place. Sides were good-we made the mistake of not ordering the lobster Mac n cheese. Creamed spinach was what you would expect from a top notch steak place. Scallops appetizer was fantastic. Wedge salad was average. Make sure you have their signature Old Fashioned.

High quality PH steakhouse

By payitfwd71 |

Checked this place out a long time ago shortly after they opened. Finally made it back around again. All three of us got the petite filet (8oz.). Temperature of steaks were all as ordered. I also added some sauteed mushrooms and the table shared some fries. Everything was excellent! Service was attentive. Prices are a little higher than they should be and the space between some of the tables is too narrow. An employee wheeled a cart up to an adjoining table and it was in the way of multiple people. Very awkward. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert. Decor is nice. Room is quite dark. Hopefully it won't be so long until the next visit.

Awesome

By nick4744 |

Jered was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable and attentive to details of the order. I had the surf and turf with a petite filet and 7oz lobster tail. The steak was tender and melt in your mouth, and the lobster tail was cooked perfectly. I would recommend this location to anyone and will be back again when in vegas.

Great High End Steakhouse

By AZgolferMom |

The food and service here were both great. Be prepared to pay more for this location but the food was worth it.

2nd Visit, Perfection revisited!!

By Paul S |

How fortunate my Friends and Family were to get the same AWESOME servers that we had on our 1st visit. Ricky and Anthony were on their “A” game, along with Lara, who took care us! We are feeling “SPOILED” with all the attention. The Meals were wonderful, and a testament to the professional Chefs behind the scenes. HUGE Thank You to all from our hostesses to the bussing staff We will be back again and again

Great steak, super sides and excellent service

By Kizchris |

Have been eating here since it opened...have always had great food! This trip was no different. Buffy was our server and she was excellent. Great warm personality, attentive and efficient. Ordered shrimp cocktail and their version of a wedge salad...both excellent. Had filet mignonette with sides of striphouse potatoes and the seasonal vegetables. Steaks were cooked perfectly and sides were delish. Skipped desert only because we needed to walk off our meal before thinking about another bite of food! Note to management- one decadent appetizer from the original menu was the Gorgonzola Fondue drizzled garlic bread...might you consider bringing that back?

Delish! Go!!

By sandcmom |

We went for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was amazing. We had two great waiters. They were very helpful. We all had something different so we could taste the others meals. We had Wagu filet, reg filet, and ribeye. For dessert we had the 24 layer choc cake. Delish! We can’t wait to go back! Only down side is that they forgot to scan my Landrys card so I had to call Landrys to get my points.

chateaubriand superb but don't miss the colossal crab cocktail

By sedonagal |

we celebrated my husband's birthday and were seated at an excellent table - table #1 - and had one of the best meals we've had in Vegas over the past 6-8 trips there. Colossal crab cocktail is excellent! If you like crab, you must order it. Chef's special veggies were nothing special; roasted asparagus a generous serving and plenty for two. Complex wine list - we enjoyed a Margaux. Ambiance romantic`. Our server Buffy definitely an A+ in personality and hospitality. This is a new favorite for us which we avoided for years because we could not imagine Planet Hollywood building housing such a great restaurant.

Excellent everything

By John M |

My wife and I were given a gift card for a Landry's property, and while we usually go to Morton's, while in Vegas we decided to try somewhere new. We were not disappointed. Everything about our meal was excellent. We dined early to beat the crowd and we were given a corner booth to look out onto the entire restaurant. The atmosphere is great although maybe just a little dark. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very attentive. The beer selection was vast and I was pleased to find a unique Scottish beer aged in rum barrels. We ordered the chateaubriand and we were warned that it would take 40 minutes. It was well work the wait. We both loved it along with our asparagus and Strip House potatoes. We were too full for dessert but I've heard great things about the 24 layer chocolate cake. We will definitely come back here the next time we are in Las Vegas.

Very romantic setting!

By jennifer h |

all the way around it was on point. Their pretzel bread was the bomb! All their food was on point. It is pricey but definitely worth it.

Melt in your mouth Filet

By jennie8778 |

My husband and I traveled to Vegas for our 20th Anniversary in October 2020. We had been wanting to go to a steak house for dinner, found Strip House and got right in no wait time. I had ordered Filet Oscar, let me just tell you the filet melted in my mouth. It was soooo delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly. The crab and sauce made the steak! Prior to getting your dinner, they bring you out soft pretzel sicks...oh my gosh! Again...delicious... The staff, and our waitress very nice, and never had to wait for a refill on our drinks. My husband and I would highly recommend the Strip House for dinner.

Stunning dinner for two

By The Grazing Wanderer |

What a restaurant! Very swanky setting! Amazing service, great menu, wine list to die for. Stratospherically expensive but thats Las Vegas for you. Would go back for sure however as it was an experience I wouldnt forget. A must visit!

Not so good New Year's Dinner!

By David A |

Scheduled a reservation for New Year's Eve dinner. After reading reviews and location in Planet Hollywood, I thought this would be a good location to kick off the night. My wife, her BFF and I were really looking forward to great meal. I ordered the 20oz Bone in Rib eye, wife had the 8oz Fillet, unfortunately both were a bit dry, even with the Béarnaise sauce. BFF had the Lobster, over cooked. But all the sides (Mushrooms, Asparagus, and Mac and Cheese) were good. Service for New Year's Eve and during these COVID times was a slow, but I attributed that to being a holiday and staffing shortages I suppose. For $600+, I'd expect better. Overall, I don't think I could recommend the Strip House. Really disappointing.

Before the show!,,

By tantecarol |

The service and food and beverages were spot on. Very nice ambience and even though we were pressed for time and let our waiter know he accommodated with his promptness and genuine service. We will be sure to visit again.

Underwhelming and lackluster food! Skip it!!!

By Dr. B |

Unfortunately, this did not measure up to our expectations. My husband and I ordered the Porterhouse for Two, with the Potatoes Au Gratin, and Asparagus. While the potatoes and asparagus were delicious (though overly salty), the steak, which was cut table side, was underwhelming. Most of the steak (other than the filet portion) was inedible. It was fatty and sinewy, and we couldn't eat about a third of the steak. We have had porterhouse steaks at the best steakhouses in Vegas on previous trips, and back at home at some of our favorite spots, and we have been able to eat every single bite. The service was subpar. I had to call the waitress a few times for water refills and to remind her, 20 minutes later, about my husband's cocktail which we had ordered at the very beginning. When she came over and I asked very kindly when my husband might get his cocktail, she said, "Oh, I that's right -- I forgot." She didn't apologize for having completely forgotten to put his drink order in. Mind you, it was about 5:30pm and we were one of three guests in the entire restaurant at the time. She was chatting with another waiter a few feet away and was highly distracted. Lastly, they brought us their 'famed' brownie-like cake and it was simply not good. The icing on the cake? When they tried to sell us a discount card for other restaurants. Wait? Are we at Applebees? This just was not the experience we had hoped for. We are foodies and we love fine dining. We are willing and able to spend any amount of money on a phenomenal meal. This was just not the place. Skip it! There is nothing to see here. Not worth your time or money.

Birthday/Anniversary spectacular !!!

By Paul S |

Had a Superb time at Strip House !! We were greeted by the AGM Daniel, who then seated us and left us in the more than capable hands of Ricky, our Server and Dwayne, our Server Assistant. Ambiance was the 1st WOW !! The Meal selections were outstanding as was the drink menu. It was my wife’s birthday and our 37th Anniversary, and I couldn’t think of a better place to spend it. We tried many dishes, including many of their signature dishes, all incredible !!

Terrible service for this overpriced restaurant

By Pablo B |

We booked here as it was close to our hotel and because we had my young niece with us we decided to only have a mains course, could not believe that it took an hour to get our food, also I would say that for the quality of the food that this place is well over priced

Double Whammy

By Doug B |

Rare is it when you go to a place to eat in Vegas and both the service and the food is phenomenal. Everyone in our party of 15 raved about Strip House.

AMAZING!!!!!!!

By MariaB |

We booked the private wine room for my friends birthday and we had the best time! Every single item that we ordered was the BEST we ever had! The Caesar salad was fabulous, we all ordered the Surf & Turf and the lobster melted in your mouth! Lobster Mac was awesome and the portions are large! Our waitress BUFFY was super knowledgeable and I wanted to have her record the voice mail message on my phone...cool voice! They had a reserved for Suzette sign on the table, and gave her a birthday card as well, it was all in the details! We will definitely go back!

Amazing steaks, fantastic service

By Ian K |

If you're looking for a great steakhouse in Vegas that isn't *too* pricey, this would be a great choice. The dinner menu is relatively small but the food is excellent, especially the steaks. I had the filet mignon and it was one of the very best I've ever eaten. The portions are about right and we had room for dessert, which was also great. Our waiter (Juan, we think) was fantastic - attentive, knowledgeable and good fun. Not sure why, but the restaurant is very dimly lit and our eyes were only just adapting to the gloom by the time we left. Still a great experience.

Incredible Steaks & Swanky Atmosphere

By Jaime |

So many steak options in Vegas, but this one came highly recommended to me by a friend who has been to Vegas more times than I can count. It's on the second floor of the Planet Hollywood hotel, just above the casino. We made reservations super easily and had an incredible meal. I ordered the filet with lobster mac and cheese and a rose mule for dinner and it was so perfectly cooked. Definitely give this place a shot!

Dinner

By Ann F |

My friend and I wanted a nice meal, great steak, and cool atmosphere and we found it all at the Strip House. Our service was great as well. I would recommend that you call for reservations. Order a nice glass of wine. We skipped an appetizer but they had a great selection. The steak and seasoning was perfect. We shared our sides of lobster Mac and cheese and scalloped potatoes. Delicious. We were so full we had to skip dessert but we did peruse the menu and it looked mouth watering. The atmosphere was a little dark but very eye catching. Have dinner at the Strip House. You won’t regret it!

Surf and turf

By ZEMOG |

A wonderful dinner for two in the corner booth. We split the surf and turf and it was by far the best lobster we have had in a very long time. The filet was also done perfect. Our waiter Joseph was a total professional and made both of us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. This place gets busy so do yourself a favor and go early.

Worst steak ever

By David F |

We had visited the Strip House several years ago and remembered it have good food. We decided to try it again and were very disappointed with the food quality. Our server was great or I would have given a 1 star review. My wife had the 14oz ribeye and I had the 8 oz filet. I am not certain how you can ruin either of those cuts but neither my wife or I could eat our steaks. We order the lobster mac & cheese as a side dish, it was mediocre at best. We did not tell the waiter or management of our poor experience, probably should have. I would guess that things have gone downhill since Landry's took over the operation. I haven't had a good food experience at any of their restaurants.

Worth it!!

By Anna |

Friendly staff, good food everything is perfect! We celebrate our anniversary order steak, organic crispy chicken and their spinach and strip house potatoes are to die for!! Definitely will come back to try some more.

Great steak

By Linda M |

I really liked this place. Loved the darker lighting and all around ambiance. My food was great. I ordered the filet with lobster tail and mashed potatoes on the side. Our waiter stayed on top of things along with the other people that worked there that seemed to be water fillers. We also ordered their 24 layer chocolate cake which was yummy.

Disappointing

By Sondra S |

Staying at Planet Hollywood, lost a lot and thought we could use rewards points towards a nice dinner, but they said they’re part of Landry’s and not part of the Caesar’s program. Server (Juan) was very pleasant, but just as slow and inattentive. The lobster bisque was bland, and we had to track down someone else to bring salt and pepper to save it from itself. We waited a long time for main to arrive. Juan was so pre-occupied elsewhere that our lobster was cold on arrival. He brought it back heated - yeah! … but he was too busy to notice the otherwise excellent porterhouse (and asparagus) had cooled beyond edibility within a short time. Juan applauded Bill for eating his (he refused not to eat a $130 steak, even if it was cold), but the server didn’t seem to notice or care that I hadn’t eaten mine. …. This seems to be our new, sad reality - prices skyrocketing with a precipitous decline in service and quality. We usually tip very well. Not this time. Went to room hungry after paying $300 for dinner. Aye.

Highly recommend the Strip House for your wedding celebration!

By Aaron C |

My husband and I were married at the Planet Hollywood chapel on July 14th (2022), and the Strip House was host to our wedding dinner celebration. From the day we began our planning with the restaurant, to the actual event, we were amazed by their professionalism, care, and flexibility in ensuring our celebration was as special as possible! Managers Lori Carchedi and Daniel Ellery went above and beyond to ensure that every detail leading up to our dinner was in order, and on the night-of, Daniel greeted us with handshakes, congratulated us on our wedding, and walked us to our tables. The ambiance was sexy! Low red lighting, waitstaff professionally dressed in white jackets and ties, candles, and glowing burlesque photos on every wall. All of our 25 guests were amazed upon entering the dining room by the "feel" of the place". The food was incredible, and everyone agreed it was the best wedding dinner they had every had. (no exaggeration!) When we were planning our menu, we were concerned about the portion sizes, as many "nice" restaurants are keen to limit the size of their portions. Let me assure you, this was NOT the case at the Strip House! There was so much food, many of our guests (including myself!) could not finish their dinner or dessert. As part of our package, we also ordered 2 hours of top-shelf alcoholic beverages. The waitstaff were constantly topping up wine glasses and asking us if we wanted another cocktail. Luckily, water glasses were regularly topped up too! Everyone loved the glassware as well... very classy! Finally, I would like to mention that our waiters, Brett and Jaisel, were phenomenal. They tended to our every need, and one of them was always available should we have a question or request during dinner. All night long we were made to feel that we were important, and that they were celebrating right alongside the rest of us. Overall, we highly recommend the Strip House for any event. And if you are a same-sex couple, I'll add that we felt very comfortable! We will be back the next time we are in town - but just a dinner for 2! Aaron and Albert.

Strip House

By smalltowngalGeorgia |

We made reservations here because it wasn't far from our hotel and we wanted a nice meal our on the day of our arrival. The hotel was inside Planet Hollywood so you have to actually walk through the smoky casino to get there. I was not a fan of that! The restaurant was not crowded and was very dark inside. We ordered the filet and we were very disappointed in the quality of the meat. For the expensive price we paid, the steak wasn't that good! All sides are extra and we ordered the creamed spinach. It was good, but not great. We did order drinks also. They were good. Service was just average. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. I would not go again. It was very expensive and not worth the quality!

Great spot!

By jmalpica7136 |

Beautiful decor, and great steaks! The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was great and not super pricey. The place had a nice ambiance as well.

Good Lobster tail ... better than the steak.

By jfinnnnnnnnnn |

Tried the lobster tail for a change. It was a pleasant surprise, excellent. I liked it better than the steaks I've had here in the past. Give it a try.

BEYOND IMPRESSIVE

By Chad H |

This was my first trip to the Strip House. I brought a group of 9 here for dinner to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. I was BLOWN AWAY at how wonderful this experience was! We were seated in a private room which made it very easy to talk and listen and enjoy our evening. Not sure how we got this room , but THANK YOU so much to whoever made that happen. Our server, Carlos, was fantastic! The food was amazing beyond belief and we couldn't have been happier at the end of our experience. Thank you all so VERY much! We will definitely return!

Pricey and just okay

By csb808 |

We really wanted a steak and this place was recommended. The location was good. Easy to find. We were immediately turned off because we couldn't bring a beer in that we had just purchased at the casino. Our waitress was friendly at first. When we ordered a bottle of wine for the table (pinot noir) she recommended a $110 bottle. When my husband said let's pick one a little less expensive, she chose a $95 bottle. The wine was good but after that, her attitude changed. She wasn't rude just very lukewarm. We spent approximately $400 (that's with my husband and I sharing a steak). We shared the steak just because we didn't want a whole steak, not to save money. The sides were delicious. I have to say the steak was just okay. The atmosphere was ridiculously dark.

Great food so-so service.

By do25100 |

Great food so-so service. The drinks, appetizers and steaks were very well prepared and the dinner would have been overall very good if we had received all three main dishes within 5 - 10 minutes of each other, however two were served and we waited almost 20 minutes for the third plate. It wasn’t busy and we never did find out what had happened, although they did apologize profusely.

Went in for an early dessert, was very pleased

By Mark |

Wife and I had been checking out vegas for the day and came into Planet Hollywood looking for desert, and the Chocolate Cake at Strip House is legend. We were the first in when they opened, and we told them we were just there for cake and drinks, but the staff treated us like we were there for a huge meal, just super nice. The cake was amazing, so delicious, and the bartender who waited on us was very nice and checked on us regularly, and made some wonderful drinks. Will look forward to coming back, hopefully for a full meal.

Great Steak

By BennyBlue |

I haven’t eaten here for about 5 years but I soon as I tasted my steak I remembered the crust.... mmmm I like the atmosphere of this place and really enjoyed my food. The waiter was a little strange in that he spoke so quickly it was sometimes to understand him! He came out with some strange sayings too like ‘take your time’ after he took our order. The other staff were great, my iced water was topped up after almost every sip!

Good Steak

By yay.for.vacay |

We visited here as we were seeing a show that evening! Initially we couldn’t find the restaurant... but it’s upstairs above the casino in planet Hollywood. We were on a slight time limit due to our show but the staff were happy to get our order sorted and ready ASAP! Which was brilliant. We ordered 2 steaks and they were cooked to perfection. Ordered macaroni cheese and creamed mash as sides. The food was so good I couldn’t even fit in dessert. Brilliant restaurant and would defo return in the future!!

Delicious Steak

By Kennedy G |

The Strip House was a last minute find for us, and we were sooo glad we found it! The food was amazing and the service was great also. It is a little pricy but definitely worth it.

Dessert - Oh yes - Fabulous Dessert

By DM_Tmblwd |

I would go back to this restaurant once a week - or maybe every 3 days. Wow! What a nice place that has that perfect setting and ambiance for an intimate time with a loved one or a girlfriend or friends and someone celebrating their birthday. The drinks offered were outstanding - no matter what your desires may be. Our birthday boy had the 24 layer chocolate cake - yum yum - to die for. I had the Warm Double Chocolate Brownie Vanilla Ice Cream, Hot Fudge Sauce - another to die for and it went perfectly with my double Knob Creek over ice. The third dessert at our table was the Homemade Sorbets and Ice Creams Seasonal and Daily Flavors - again a fantastic pairing of 3 sorbets. Our waiter was the bartender and he was absolutely fabulous - really knowing the drink specialties and what goes with what.

Pricey as expected

By The_Indy_Traveler |

My meal was just "okay" for the value. I understand the restaurant would be high as it is a hotel/casino restaurant but food was just okay when your paying that amount. The lobster was not cooked properly, a little tough and stringy. $20 for a tequila sunrise with Don Julio...

Fantastic food-but service left me humiliated

By merrichristmas |

My husband and I went for our 15th wedding anniversary. I want to start by saying that the food was fantastic, and although the speed and accuracy of the service was very good, I was made to feel unworthy. Right off the bat the server talked so fast that when she left our table I had to recreate what I could of the specials to my husband who was unable to catch a single item (he is in his early 50's and has good hearing). But the worst part came when I was trying to select a wine. After trying to grill me on what wines I drink at home so that she could help me select one, I told her that I wanted to peruse the wine list while I finished my full cocktail, and decided what my main course would be. When she came back she tried to convince me to get a bottle, which was too much wine for me to drink alone, and when I asked her about a particular wine by the glass she said, "I like that 'type' of wine and the region, but that particular one is not the best in my opinion. It tastes bitter, and like it hasn't aged enough. If you like that type, I would suggest this one", then she went to another page with wine by the glass and pointed to a wine that I'm sure was quite good, but at $45 a 6 oz glass was out of my reasonable budget. When I told her in a soft voice that it was “A little too much for me", she responded in a condescending tone that perhaps I WOULD like the other wine (the one that is bitter and under-aged), and she'd be happy to bring me a glass. At this point I was so humiliated that I almost burst into tears. I nodded, she brought the wine, and I continued with the meal, the whole time feeling like one of the Beverly Hillbillies. I was humiliated. But...on the other hand we had beautiful meal and almost everything was outstanding (tuna tartar, creamed spinach, potatoes in duck fat, rib-eye, New York). The only thing I didn't like was the Caesar salad which was a little bland and had oddly seasoned croutons. At the end of the meal the server asked if we wanted dessert, and when we said no thank you, she brought us a free slice of their fantastic chocolate layer cake on a plate that said happy anniversary, which was very nice.

Nice atmosphere.

By scsunlimited |

We went here a couple of times since we were staying at Planet Hollywood. Did not eat dinner, just appetizers and cocktails. The bar was warm and welcoming, bartender Marc was really friendly. Love the feeling of this place with the red furniture and vintage burlesque pictures. Next time we will definitely make arrangements to have the full dinner experience.

A++ Steak

By Ryan Becky J |

So good! Steak was cooked to perfection and the crust on the outside was so tasty. We loved the convenience since we were staying at Planet Hollywood. Wanted dessert, but we were way too full.

Chateaubriand for All

You had me at chateaubriand. I had to convince my wife to share the exquisite cut of meat. But, you really can’t beat the tenderness and flavor of the ‘briand. They prepare the steak with a crusty salt layer with a little spicy kick, which they will adjust. I didn’t need any additional sauce, our guests enjoyed the bordelaise. Five stars for the steak. The seafood platter was tasty. I wish I could have changed some of selections to add certain items and take away from others - more salmon (fave item on the platter) and tuna fewer oysters. The 24 layer chocolate cake is over hyped. The duo of flavors was pretty pedestrian. Given the large layer count I would expect more flavor varieties. Our server thoughtfully prepared a birthday greeting for my wife’s celebration.

Worth A Visit!

We have been to Vegas ten times, but had never ventured down to the Strip House. We are glad we made the effort to do so. Located inside the Planet Hollywood casino on the second floor, this restaurant/bar surprised us with ambiance, top-notch dining, and great service. We are very happy that we checked it out!

Steak Done Mostly Proper

By Normal_DJO |

I don’t automatically take for granted that a steak place does steak well. In this case, Strip House mostly did the job. While my NY Strip was done more towards the medium side rather than medium rare as ordered, the salt and pepper crusting on the steak really made it enjoyable. Sides were very good and nicely supported the star of the show, the steak. Service was efficient and properly attentive. Glad we went.

Don’t order the 24 layer chocolate cake!!

By Lori P |

A few reviews listed this cake as a top dessert on Las Vegas strip. It absolutely should not be on this list. The slice is large(it should be for $20)The cake is dry and bland. The icing is very non descriptive. Don’t waste your money or your calories. If it is chocolate cake you crave, go to Carlos in The Venetian. The chocolate cake is delicious. The bartender that served us at the Strip House was fast and pleasant.

Pretty nice and pricey

Very nice restaurant. We were with a wedding party and they provided us with our own room. This is definitely an upscale restaurant. Everything was a la carte. The steaks and service were very good but not over the top for the price. Our meal for two was over $200.

Strip House Surprise

This was the highlight of our trip. I wasn’t expecting so much and was blown away. Service was top notch. Drink selection was vast. The star of the show of course was our steaks. We had the Wagyu Filet Mignon. It was topped with crab meat and a Béarnaise sauce. So good. Of course they were cooked perfectly. I got medium and my husband got medium rare. For sides we shared the fancy mashed potatoes and asparagus. Both were delicious. We will definitely be going back. It was a great meal and experience.

24karat chocolate cake is worth the visit

Came here for the 24 karat chocolate cake, and it was delicious! It is huge and rich- we left a lot of it behind because we would have had stomach aches. But it was so good, we ate as much as we could handle. Service was excellent too! And the ambience and style of the restaurant is fun. I would go back because they also serve baked Alaska, which is hard to find!

Excellent Five Star Dining

We truly enjoyed this dinner. We started with the Seared Diver Scalllops that were perfectly cooked. Three of the four at our table had the filet mignon and all agreed it was amazing! I’m told the tuna tartare was very good, but I didn’t get a taste. For sides, we chose Strip House Potatoes (twice baked potato gratin), Strip Caesar salad and fire roasted asparagus with brown butter. All were so good! We didn’t have room for dessert but we ordered the 24 layer chocolate cake and the NY cheesecake anyway. Both were delicious. At out waitor’s recommendation we had the signature 30 Day Barrel-aged Old Fashioned cocktails that we’re incredibly smooth. The wine list is excellent as well.

Well worth eating here!! The strip house does not disappoint

Exceptional service and exceptional food. We were at the strip house during our stay in Vegas in April. We had an amazing waiter (valentin) who was very attentive, our waters were always refilled without us asking and without the cups getting too low. We ordered a Caesar salad to start which was 10/10. Delicious. For the main course I ordered the double lobster tail also 10/10. My husband ordered 8oz filet which he says was also 10/10. As a side we shared the 1000 layered potatoes also very delicious. Great wine selection. We were too full for dessert so we didn't try any. The ambiance of the restaurant has a great vibe, dimly lit with nice decor, comfortable seating. We will absolutely be back out next time in Vegas and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional food and service.
