Spectacular service and live traditional Persian music!!! Food was delicious!!! We didn't save room for dessert, so I'll have to come back and try the Pomegranate Cheesecake I read about!!!

Sufi’s was not busy at lunch, a quiet and interesting spot for a special lunch with both vegetarians and meat eaters. Excellent service. Fairly expensive. Great appetizers and especially unique desserts. We had pomegranate cheesecake and saffron ice cream that were sensational.

Persian restaurants are difficult to find and good ones are even rarer. We were taken to Sufi by friends from Iran so our experience might not be typical. We ended up spending almost 2.5 hours there for lunch. I highly recommend the stews, but everything we had was excellent.

Went their recently while on business trip-we decided to stick to appetizers rather than entrees- every thing we ate was excellent - especially the dolmeh- cant wait to go back-Yum!!!!!

My colleague picked Sufi's. We sat outside in the courtyard. It was surrounded by trees, real nice setting. We started with hummus and grape leave wraps. We probably ordered too much. When I had my kobideh kebab, I was getting full. The kebab was a bit dry, so I ate with my tomato and hummus. Delicious. I am sure we will be back.

I was not sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by everything. The place is very chic and a bit dark, but comfortable. The menu is a bit limited, but the food was excellent. Service was spot on. The only drawback was the valet parking. It was narrow, crowded and a bit confusing. Overall, a good experience.

This was my first time trying Iranian food and it was excellent. I am vegetarian and this place had wonderful choices for me. The food was delicately flavored and the different Polos (rice dishes) just have to be tried. My favorites were the Zereshk polo and Baghala Polo. The vegetable Kabob and the Sufi's Veggie Stew were well done and enjoyable. An Iranian colleague joined our table and said that the food reminded him of home and that he really enjoyed it. I heartily recommend a visit.

My favorite Persian restaurant in Atlanta. Great service and easy parking ( back of restaurant). Good wine selection and amazing food.

We tried this place after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. The place is a small, quaint, quiet place, easily accessible and with parking in the back. The service was very friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Our waitress knew the menu well and could answer all our questions. The appetizer portions are quite small. The bread that is served seems homemade is absolutely delicious. The menu is mainly grilled meats, but has plenty of vegetarian options. I was not particularly fond of the koobideh kebab (which is the minced meat skewers), but the grilled chicken that my husband had was great. We had saffron-pistachio ice cream for dessert, which was delicious. The baklava cheesecake was okay. All in all a pleasant experience, but I would not go out of my way to come here for dinner.

This is a good place to visit for Persian food, parking is valet and complimentary. The servers have a good knowledge about the food. The food was wonderful and tasted good. Must visit if you want Persian food. Return visit likely.

I have driven past this restaurant hundreds of times, but not until I walked past and saw so many people enjoying the experience did it occur to me to check it out. Our lunch was delicious with Great service!

Good menu of Persian food with authentic seasonings. My dish was lamb but the vegetarians and vegans found excellent choices. Missed having a Shiraz on wine list but the house red was acceptable. Eat inside: the patio is pleasant in decor but the Peachtree St. traffic is noisy.

The family and I had a wonderful experience at Sufi's tonight. Nice environment-not stuffy or to casual. The appetizers were very good. We did the combo ( choice of three). I'm not sure if it was cinnamon or sugar on the pita bread but it was fantastic. I was a bit nervous when I ordered the lamb kabob and the server did not ask me how I wanted it cooked. After the first bite I realized they don't need to ask, they know what they are doing. It was perfect. Nice yogurt sauces and good wines by the glass. I'm sure we will be back.

I tasted several of the dishes on the table and loved everything. Prices are reasonable and the space is very nice. Service was slow the night we were there, but I would still return when I am in the area. Parking is free in a lot behind the building.

I am giving these guys two stars, not because of the food, but because of the horrible (and I mean HORRIBLE!) service. The food is actually quite good, which is why I was so disappointed that the service failed so miserably. The restaurant was not crowded (only 5 active tables) and there were at least 4 servers in the restaurant so there was adequate coverage. We ordered a couple of starters and a round of drinks. Starters came, and then then wait for water and drinks ensued. About 3/4 of the way through our starters, here came our drinks and water. Same thing happened with our main - we ordered and placed another order for a round of drinks, food came and about 50% into our meal, we had empty water glasses and no drinks. I got up and went and found our waiter (Zack) and told him we needed our drinks and water. I returned to the table, waited another 10 minutes, then went and found the manager. Now our food was cold, and we still didn't even have water. The manager brought our drinks, apologized, and gave us another waiter who was much better although we were almost finished at this point. I had the salmon kabob (delicious) and my fellow diners had chicken kabobs (also delicious). It is unfortunate how poor service can completely overshadow what could be a great meal.

Went here to meet our friend while in Atlanta; the food was nice and hot; well delivered, and tasty. The waiter was the son of the owner, and took great care of us, as well as being entertaining. Nice

Persian food perfectly executed with live music at least on Friday and Saturday and the ability at no charge to bring your own wine, this is a good deal. The appetizer special pick three is a bargin and the choices of cucumber dill sauce, humus, smoked and garlic eggplant among others are all veruy good. Twice we have ordered the salmon kabob and our guests had the shrimp kabob and the tenderloin kabob each prepared very well. Finally the pommegranet cheese cake and the persian ice cream (vanilla with rose water and grated nuts) were worth the wait and weight. Parking is valet and a bit confusing as you drop the car on one side of the building and pick up on the other.

Sufi's is one of our Atlanta favorites. The service is excellent and the food is superb. It is also great because they have a nice outdoor seating area. Highly recommended!

Just found it pricey for what you got. Food was edible but not as "tasty" as I wanted. There are other Mediterrannean style places in ATL I would try firts, Mezza being one.

We had an eggplant appetizer that was incredible, I followed it with veggie kabobs with dill fava basmati rice...a huge serving of perfectly grilled veggies and fluffy gorgeous rice. Hubs had filet mignon kabob with beautiful veggies and fluffy basmati rice. Hubs also had coconut mojito....wow, an amazing drink! The owner and staff were very attentive, a very nice evening!!!

I was a little hesitant because a couple in my group are kind of picky eaters, but lo and behold, they devoured their meals. The bread and appetizer plate are so good. We went in for seconds on the bread. Three in the party had kebabs and I tried a stew. Everything was delish. The rice is a special treat. Would definitely go again.

We are still glowing from this experience. So many great selections, so little time. For appetizers, we shared the Ash Joe soup and the Sufi's special eggplant and chickpea dish. For rice, Shirin Polo with pistachio, orange peel, carrot, raisins (have to try this at home) . For entrees, the Fesenjoon chicken breast stew and the Lamb Kebab. Check out the menu! We could experiment there for weeks. Reservations appear essential. We ate early, but Sufi filled rapidly. Appears parking is an issue for many reviews, and the parking lot is steep in back, but there are close by options.

The food here is incredible. It is a Persian restaurant and is one of the best middle eastern restaurants that I have eaten at in the US. I love middle eastern food and am always looking for good ones. I found one! Service is great - wait staff is very knowledgeable about selection and quite friendly. I highly recommend it!

If u like middle east food than you should go to this restaurant. The staff all are nice, the place is clean, and the food is good. You can find bread, humus, rice, beef, fish, and lamb. For drinks, you should try the yogurt.

My husband and I both ordered chicken, and after just one bite, we could tell that the chicken was spoiled. Also, the service was very slow even though the restaurant was basically empty.

I really enjoy this restaurant. It is so different from my usual haunts, though I don't know why I don't go more often cuz it is a great place to eat. My partner and I stopped by for lunch, had our main meal of the day and left smiling. Good service. Good atmosphere. Kinda like the inside of a Persian tent. Wonderful food. Flavorful, comforting and exotic at the same time, and so very satisfying without being heavy. Except I ate the whole basket of warm bread - flat non-yeast stuff that I couldn't get enough of, obviously...

Kabobs did not taste authentic, lots of bread crumbs or flour in them The shallot yogurt was awful. Bread was fresh and warm, but they were very stingy with feta cheese. and the rice was terrible. wasted our money.

I found Sufi s restaurant from TripAdvisor. It was good experience. I like the food and environment. I recommend it.

Great locations and ambiance. The appetizers were amazing (Falafel and Grape leaves) the Rice was out of this world..delish!!! Meats ..not so much!! Great flavor, great fragrance and tender BUT so dry it was impossible to swallow. I had the Lamb Kabob and my husband the Chicken . They kindly replaced the lamb with shrimp but it too was awful. So would we return...sure..they were incredibly nice and the service was great! All restaurants deserve a second chance.

This was a return visit and the food quality and taste was intact.. The only thing out of place was loopy techno type music. Persian music would lend itself to the food and surroundings. Try the Shorbeh and Barg Kebab. Definitely worth visiting.

I don't know when Sufi's opened but sorry I missed it. This is a Persian restaurant....think kabob, saffron rice and eggplant. No you don't have to have them all or all in one.... but what flavor in the meats (fish, chicken, lamb, beef). Probably the best hummus I have had in the US but I will warn you...garlic is in the hummus!! Did I say how good the meats are?? OMG. Prices are $18 for the lunch BUT I took a full to-go plate home!! It was WAY too much food for one meal ...and I am a BIG eater! Just go!!!

This place was a refuge for a traveling couple whose tummies weren’t yet caught up with the schedule changes. I ordered the beef tenderloin kabab which came with jasmine rice and a cucumber, onion and tomato salad. He ordered the soup of the day a chicken and rice which was full of flavor and creamily satisfying. My beef was tender and full of rich flavor. We both enjoyed the salad as a satisfying addition of fresh raw vegetables. The pita and garnish plate served while we waited was a real treat. The pita was fresh, garnished with a light sprinkle of salt and pepper. Warm and fragrant. The garnishes included basil, cilantro, mint a couple of olives and a cube of feta. The only downside for me was the rice which was too much and too dry for my taste. Our server was attentive and helpful and kept us happy without being intrusive. All in all — well worth going a little out of your way to enjoy the taste of the Middle East.

I like there bread, but they had very small plate of sabzi that usually serves in all Persian restaurants. I was disappointed with the Kabab koobideh too. It was a huge portion but average quality. I expected better food!!!

I have dinned in this restaurant twice and tried two typical Persian dishes. Their Basmati rice was a little overcooked and the 'Kabab Barg' was a little salty. Next time I tried their 'Chicken Barg', it was very well done but it lacked juiciness and delicious taste that we usually we expect from such dish. Overall, their service and the whole experience was very good and might go there next time too.

This small quaint restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and relaxed atmosphere. The food is Persian. It was absolutely delicious. They brought us a selection of relish and breads. We ordered as an appetizer , Hummus...it was homemade and so good. The pita bread was so fresh. Two of us split the Chicken Barg and choice to upgrade our rice to the shirin polo which was amazing. ...it was a definite must...fresh orange peels, carrot shavings, raisins, mixed in the rice. Plenty of food even split. My spouse had The Barg which was a beef filet kabob. Food is reasonably priced. You can bring in your own wine for a corkage fee of $10.We all felt like we ate healthy on top of it. The waitress Atran was very attentive and nice also.Did not feel rushed either. I would highly recommend but get directions.

My second visit here in two years. I made a point of going here again this time after the pleasant experience the last time. The food is still very good and the service is friendly. I will definitely be back! The price at $30 PP for main meal, an appetizer shared between 3 and tea may be a little pricey, but overall good experience makes up for it.

Excellent food as you sit outside enjoying the cultural melodious music, pleasant weather, and delicious, juicy, and soft pieces of meats

Really good gourmet Persian restaurant! A lot better food then Rumi’s. I ordered lamb kebab , it was soooo good I can’t wait to come back!

Ate here for a birthday dinner. I thought that sitting outside during the summer would be terrible but it actually felt pretty good. I got the hummus as an appetizer and it was delicious. My main course was the lamb shank and while it was pretty good I felt like it lacked something. Service was good but but if you have a large party it might be a while before orders are taken and food brought out. Overall it was a pretty good experience.

We discovered Sufi's while driving from midtown to Buckhead on one of our many visits to Atlanta. We always intended to stop for dinner, but until we encountered them at "Taste of Atlanta" last fall we never had. Over thanksgiving weekend we were in Atlanta with my partners parents. His mom is from Iran and we decided to stop for dinner before driving home. The food here is delicious and service excellent. There is valet parking. The menu is extensive and pretty authentic. There isn't a lot of atmosphere here, but it is a pleasant place for eating some really good food. Give this one a try. So glad we stopped at their booth at "Taste of Atlanta"!

This was one of the best dishes I've had in USA. Being Persian, I always look forward to eat persian and Mediterranean food and I can say that this restaurant offers the best. From their delicious bread and welcome set to their amazingly cooked kabobs I enjoyed every single minute of my meal. My favorite dish was Barg Kabob. The meat was tender and it tasted like heaven.

We visited Sufi’s, at the recommendation (and, accompaniment), of friends. While, I am not a connoisseur, of Persian food; our meals were fabulous. I ordered the Khorosht Bademjoon, a rich and hearty stew. Nothing was left, in my bowl. My wife partook, of the Shish Kabob. The steak was prepared, exactly, as requested. We will, definitely, return.

I really enjoy the atmosphere, it's cozy and still modern. The servers are always friendly and the kitchen is really consistent. I've been coming here for years now. I always order the hummus and a side of grilled veggies with whatever I have for dinner. The marinated chicken is always tender and flavorful and I enjoy the lamb here as well. It's a little pricy but not enough to turn me away. I'll be back for sure.

We visited here while in town on business. The wine list was decent and priced fair. The service was excellent. We enjoyed several appetizers and feasted on the kabobs. Which aren't really on a kabob but delicious. Three choices of basmati rice and baklava was perfect. Would go back if in town. If you like good hummus, and kabobs check it out. If you want 5 star snooty foodie food just drive by, if you good Persian food in a local haunt pull in and enjoy. Come hungry!

In Atlanta for a conference, went to Sufi's with several colleagues. The food was excellent, and our server, Souroosh, was very friendly yet professional. All dishes were excellent. I am Persian, so I should know! If you are in Atlanta, try this restaurant; beats all the usual chains in downtown, and it's a short taxi ride away.

Comings to Sufis is great. They have excellent lamb shank and great Persian stew. My one and only complain would be that service can be slow at times. Overall great experience

I was recently taken here by a Persian-American friend, and quite frankly, did not know what to expect. I found the food to be very good, particularly the kabobs and the great shirin polo. I've been back on several occasions and have always been pleased. The waitstaff is very friendly and helpful, especially to one who doesn't know the cuisine. The atmosphere is good - it's a quiet place where one doesn't have to shout to be heard in conversation. Put it on the list of places to check out!

Service was a little slow but that was probably because of where I was seated and not because they were busy or anything. I liked the food and the drink. Since I'm an AJFF member, I have meetings two buildings down so I am likely going to come back relatively regularly. I do like Middle Eastern food.

The food was amazing! We enjoyed a nice dinner with a live guitar playing in the back. Great ambiance and food overall!

Very good kabobs. Rice perfect. Very clean, pleasant restaurant and atmoshere. Shish kabob was tender and delicious. Barq kabob tender and cooked perfectly.

Made a reservation on Friday for Saturday night for 19 people to sit outside on the patio. However, once Saturday came around, the weather was much colder, so I called early that day and I asked if we could move the reservation indoors. I was assured that it was possible and that they would do it. Once we show up, our tables were set up outside. The food was very good nevertheless.

We love Persian food and this was some of the best we have even eaten! We ordered the Combination Appetizer Platter and choose: Mast Kheyar (yogurt mixed with diced cucumber and herbs), Dolmeh (stuffed grape leaves with rice, ground beef, raisins and herbs) and Shirazi Salad (diced cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, herbs, lemon juice and olive oil) served with our dinner. The Mast Kheyar and the Shirazi salad were perfect with our main meal which was the Sufi's Kabob Plater for Four. We chose the chicken and filet - some of the best chicken and filet that I have ever eaten! And did I mention the basmati rice - all three were so yummy! Great place to eat if you are visiting Atlanta!

Excellent authentic Persian food. The atmosphere is great, food even better, and the staff were extremely nice. Highly recommend this place! Can't wait to go back again.

Sufi's is a great in-town Persian restaurant that gives you the tastes that are available at Rumi's out Roswell Road, but at a much more comfortable price. We recently had a very filling meal on the way to the theater and just stayed with the appetizers. Their dolmeh is very good as is the mirza ghasami. Sufi's Special, a spicy sauteed eggplant dish is similar to the mirza ghasami, but with a spicy bite to it. The mast kheyar (yogurt with grated cucumber & herbs) will cool your palate if the spiciness is a bit too much. Their wonderful pita bread keeps coming to the table and the starters can be nicely accompanied by an order of Albano polo (black cherry rice). In the past, we have had various kabobs, which are large servings and can easily be shared by two. Attentive service and clearly a favorite in the area, judging by the crowd.

We went there the other day for lunch. Our waitress was very good, no complaints about her at all. The food was okay, nothing special, a little on the dry side. The falafel appetizer was fair with a nice dip. I had salmon that came in two little pieces that were okay in taste, there was an enormous amount of rice, my husband had a lamb sandwich. It was good. I have had much better Persian food here in Atlanta and I am not just saying that because of the following. We had a card for $10 off and they would not honor it, claiming it was a scam. We have used these cards in many restaurants and never been turned away. We purchased the cards, fair and square, we certainly weren't part of any scam. It just turned us off that they couldn't honor this. I

Several of my colleagues and I decided to try Sufi for dinner as we were tired of the same chain restaurants in Atlanta. This was a pleasant surprise that initially could have gone wrong. We read on Open Table and Yelp that they did not have a liquor license and we decided to bring a couple of bottles of wine. It was also incorrectly mentioned on the sites that there was no corking fee. When we arrived we were greeted by a full service bar, which according to the staff has only recently opened. So they need to update their reviews on these sites. We were all from out of town and were shocked when our waiter told us there would be a $20/bottle corking fee. We felt this was unfair given the misleading reviews and asked to speak to someone in authority. We were then told that the restaurant always had a $10/bottle corking fee but given the misunderstanding, we would only be charges a flat $10 for both bottles. From there the meal was really good. Delicious bread and appetizers were ordered and everyone's entrees were excellent. I think the kabob selection is excellent and highly recommend anything from that area. The best part about Sufi is that it offers a welcome break from all the sameness of restaurant cuisine and tastes and flavors you don't find often. I highly recommend Sufi's to anyone who is seeking something different and enjoys ethnic cuisine.

Lovely evening. We had a fabulous time at Sufi's tonight. The food was excellent, the drinks well made and the service attentive. We both had the specials. I enjoyed the chicken kabob with barberry rice and my husband had the lamb shank. Both were excellently flavorful and delicious. Overall, it was a great visit.

I've been to three Persian restaurants so far in Atlanta and could taste the meat tenderizer on the barg kabob at the first two as opposed to natural marinate. Everything at Sufi's was great. Only wished they had more traditional deserts like zoolbia bamia and faloodeh.

We ordered “kale” which is a traditional persian food but after it came it was not whole “kale” you may expect! It was just the tongue! We were not satisfy so we took it back and ordered one koobide kebab one barg kebab that they were worst kebabs ever we had! I ordered one halim and one mirza ghasemi and they charged me 40 bucks just for these two dishes! I’m so unsatisfied and unhappy! We told them that we didn’t like them but they didn’t offer not charge for anything! Annnnd even though we complained they got extra 18% gratuity on the bill which was so unfair... It’s not even worth it to try!!!!

The flavors are reminiscent of other Middle Eastern cuisines, but with a very distinctive twist. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!

My second trip to have dinner at sufi and it was marvelous, the food is beyond delicious, service is even better, one urgent advise to all who reads this blog is the pomegranate cheese cake I died and went to haven! Please take my advise and eat right . This place is in my top 5 places in all north America. Salem

If you're in the mood for a well prepared kebob or interesting varieties of rice and you like mediterranian this is the place. Comfortable, low key but romantic, and boasting a nice semi enclosed outdoor area, Sufis won't disappoint.

The appetizers were amazing (Falafel and Grape leaves) The Lamb Kebab was below my expectation. The Lamb appeared to be over marinated with a mushy taste. It could have been any meat since there was no Lamb flavor at all. I felt the price was very high $27.00 for a kebab with 6-8 pieces of meat and a plate full of rice. You can BYO but the corkage fee is $20.00 per bottle, not free like the GoBYO website says.

we were on our way to the airport and wanted an early dinner - something light so decided to stop by Sufis for appetizers. It’s my first time at this restaurant as we generally go to another Persian restaurant in the city. The place is small but we were seated right away and the service was quick and good. We ordered the appetizer sampler in which we could choose 3 appetizers so we choose the eggplant and salad shirazi; we ordered the yogurt as another side; and then a side of rice. the appetizers came with fresh bread and complimentary mint, parsley and feta cheese was given the eggplant and salad shirazi were good as was the rice; the bread was alright and tasted more frozen rather the fresh. the rice was also good and the portion size was decent for appetizers and side overall a good food experience here. was it good enough to take me away from my other place, no, but it’ was decent enough

I told a friend to surprise me for my birthday dinner and he brought me to Sufi’s. It was a nice surprise. I’ve eaten at other Persian restaurants clustered around Roswell Rd. outside the perimeter and Sufi’s compares favorably to them, although I will say Rumi’s was exceptional. The menu is very appealing with a variety of appetizers and a huge selection of stews and kabobs that all sounded delectable. I could have even made a meal just from the appetizer list. We relied on our waiter to help us sift through the offerings and he shared what he considered the best dishes and his favorites. When you finally choose an entrée, there’s so much to like you’re already planning what you’ll get on your second and third visit! While neither of us ordered a stew, they sounded tempting, and my friend gave great reports on the stew he ordered on a previous visit. I’m already anticipating returning and ordering the Fesenjoon stew, made with ground walnuts, pomegranate juice, pomegranate molasses and grilled chicken. If you’re an eggplant fan, three of the stews contain chunks of seasoned eggplant. I settled on the Chicken Shish Kabob since it’s the only kabob that comes with vegetables, large chunks of onion and tomato and thick slices of yellow squash, zucchini, red and green peppers. It didn’t disappoint. I loved how the vegetables had a slight char on them, just like they would if I’d cooked them on my own grill. I also ordered a special rice, the Adas Polo, basmati rice mixed with lentils, onion and raisins. It sounded so good but I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. My friend ordered the Chicken Soltani, a skewer of chicken koobideh and one of chicken barg. Barg is marinated and tenderized chicken breast while koobideh is seasoned ground chicken. He also ordered a specialty rice that included barberries, pistachios and almonds. Portions were huge and we both took leftovers home. Service was very helpful, friendly and well informed. The owner/manager even stopped by to check on us and make sure we were happy. I can’t wait to return and try the Joojeh Kabob with cuts of bone-in Cornish Hen, the shrimp kabob or one of the lamb offerings plus some of the appetizers. Sufi’s is a nice change of pace with well-executed food. It’s a treat to have an upscale Persian restaurant in Midtown/South Buckhead.

We had dinner recently at Sufi's and it was a great experience. The food was authentic persian and both quality and quantity was excellent. the platter with the mix of shish kebab and bar b qued meat was excellent, specially the barq kebab. the starters were also great. specially the hummus and the roasted eggplant dip. On the dessert side there could be some improvement though. overall a satisfying experience and not too heavy on the pocket.

Stopped in for lunch, enjoyed the "Chenjah Wrap" which came with a small salad, and flat bread. Medium sized restaurant, seating for couples/small groups only. Subtle but dramatic decorating made for a dark but warm and cozy atmosphere, with soft classical music in the background. I would definitely go back.

I have been going here for a decade now and chose them to cater for my graduation dinner. But when my graduation venue fell through this month, GM Cristy Buice came to my rescue. Ms. Buice and her staff were wonderful for my graduation dinner of twenty-five people. The enclosed patio was heated and spacious, with clean restrooms and the most important thing of all excellent food and drinks. Please support this establishment for dinner or your next event.

The food is Great but not the best Persian food in the area. You must try it and compare it to other places.

Love the authentic ambience of this restaurant. The traditional Persian stew (can't spell the translated name) with parsley and spices is wonderful . And the Persian tea has relaxing herbs similar to lavender in it. This restaurant has plenty of parking in the back lot so don't struggle to find a place on Peachtree. Steep incline on the lot but plenty of spaces. Enjoy a reasonably priced journey to new flavors!

Love it been therr many times Has gotten very expensive lately Still very classy and very giod food but value for the money I am not ao sure I go there because I am from the middle ewst and I have nostalgia for our food but everytime I find myself not very excited to pay almkst 70$ for 2 people and not be even full yet... I will still go but not frequent and it is their loss I guess.

I don't usually write a review for places in my home town but had just a super great meal here. Staff and owner were very friendly. Tried several of the eggplant appetizers that were great. M wife had the Chilean sea bass which was excellent but the lamb chops I had were super. Nice ambiance.

This is my 3rd time to Sufi's and I've never been disappointed. Everything is seasoned to perfection and the desert... AMAZING. Hands down best cheescake I've ever had. I highly recommend the pomegranate cheescake and you can't go wrong with the baklava fingers.

like the location, had valet parking, food was good, great value for money, service was good. would recommend it as an informal dining place.

Instead of eating the normal routine, we wanted something different. This was unique but very good...! We had their house Sufi's special appetizer that was amazing. Top it off, wife usually doesn't eat different meats, but tried the lamb chops... another amazing choice... In a busy city... nice to slow down... and enjoy a glass of wine...!

I wasn't very hungry, so my husband and I split an entree. Thank goodness because their portions are huge! We had plenty of food evening with sharing. The patio atmosphere was great with live music - albeit a bit noisy because it's located on a main street. The dolmehs (stuffed grape leaves) are one of their specialties, and they serve them hot rather than cold, which is the only way I'd ever eaten them. I plan to go back the next time I'm in ATL.

The food and service were great and you get a lot of food for the price. Also, there is plenty of parking behind the restaurant.

We went here because it was relatively close to our hotel, we like this kind of food and the reviews were pretty good. The. Restaurant is next to two other restaurants and has valet parking- they also have a parking lot. We had a combo appetizer which was quite good. My wife had the lamb chops which were very good and I had a combo kabob of steak and ground beef. Both came with basmati rice in a generous amount. The food was quite good and we had enough left over for another day. We shared a dessert and it was also quite good. Service was very good and the prices were very reasonable. Recommend it and would happily go again.

After relocating earlier this year, one category of restaurant that we lack nearby is Persian. So when we both developed a craving for kabobs, we checked online to see where the closest places to us were now. And the winner was Sufi's. We made reservations for a Saturday evening. Parking is accessed via a driveway just to the right of the restaurant as you are facing it. If you are approaching on Peachtree Street from the south, you have to turn across 2 lanes of traffic. Much of the parking lot is on a very steep grade; FYI, in case anyone in your party might have trouble ascending back up to restaurant-level. Sufi's has an interior space that wasn't much in use the day we went. It appeared to be dark-wood and might be cozy in cold weather. It was a nice day, so we sat on the covered patio next to the road. This was fine, other than occasional peaks in traffic noise. From the restaurant website, you might think that Sufi's could be a bit 'dressy', but in fact it was super-casual. Our server was good, and kept checking back on us. The initial basket of pita bread comes with a plate of greens (basil, etc.), olives, cheese, and walnuts. At first we thought it was one of the salads we ordered. You should be able to find something that pairs well with the bread for any taste. We each had a salad (good) before our entrees: kubideh kabobs. These were good as well. They were more juicy than at some other places, but that just adds extra flavor to the bed of rice. We were too full for dessert. They also appeared to have a full bar, and a decent wine list. I'm not sure how often we'll make the drive up here, but Sufi's is a solid choice for Persian food.

This spot is awesome anyone looking for a great dining experience! The salmon is life-changing.....and order the hummus appetizer!

I went to Sufi's for lunch with my mother one afternoon and we had a wonderful experience. We sat out on their lovely patio and enjoyed many of their wonderful, very flavorful dishes including the Hummus, Sufi's Special, the Soltani Kabob, the Rack of Lamb Kabob, and two types of their rice. The meal was delicious. The only negatives were that service was a little slow (but very nice) and it is a bit more on the expensive side...especially for lunch.

If you have eaten Persian food in other cities ( LA for us) but found local places disappointing- run don't walk here! Everything we tried was cooked perfectly, served with a geniune smile, and generous in portion. The bread was so fresh, right out of the oven and puffy. The eggplant dip, kebabs (both chicken and ground beef), and tradition sides were stand outs. The only thing I found average was the cucumber salad, which was a little small and bland. Everything else sang with flavor and was served hot and juicy. Cute interior and nice patio as well. Try it!

The appetizer dips come with an assortment of fresh herbs including mint, basil, and tarragon. The cucumber yogurt dip was amazing. The lamb kabobs were perfectly cooked and made from some of the most tender lamb I've ever had (and I eat a lot of lamb). The tea was authentic and the atmosphere was very peaceful and laid back, with linens on the ceiling making me feel like I was in a tent somewhere in the middle east. The soup of the day was healthy and very filling. Service was a little slow but I think it matches the atmosphere of the restaurant. I would definitely go back!

There is nothing more fun than experiencing food from other cultures, especially when it is done in surroundings as pleasant as Sufi's. Serving Persian cuisine, I have been any number of times and am delighted every time by the unique touches that say "Persian" cuisine to me - like the small plate of savories served pro forma like we serve bread and butter. Speaking of bread, the warm naan is so good, I could make a meal of it alone...but it is the grilled kabobs and yummy rice that I go for. I have tried other more stew like dishes, and will keep going till I have tried them all, but generally I am not hungry enough for substantial fare and prefer the grilled options. So, to wrap this up, the food is delicious, the service impeccable, the atmosphere lovely - all around, a great place to go for a lovely meal.

Whilst not as good as Rumi's restaurant in Sandy Springs, Sufi's is the best option for Persian food inside of The Perimeter. The Kabob's are wonderful and the Ghormeh Sabzi are guaranteed winners. There is the option of valet in the evening which is useful (and safe) for those who are pregnant, infirmed or aged as the parking lot is located on quite a steep hill at the rear of the building. In the daytime, it is advisable to drop off any party members at the doorway or leave them faced with the prospect of climbing an asphalt-covered Eiger.

My friend purchased a scoutmob deal and so glad she did! This place was so delicious. The service was quick and friendly, the food was full of flavor and just downright yummy. From the appetizers to the entrees, we enjoyed every bit of food we tried. I keep recommending this place. Worth it!

Sufis in a Yuppi type of neighborhood north of Atlanta. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere very cool with a live duo playing exotic middle-eastern music which complemented the amazing and authentic Persian food that was served. We had the spicy eggplant stew and an amazing Chilean Sea Bass with seasonings that were completely different than I have ever experienced. The portions were generous and complemented with flat pita bread and a complementary plate of different herbs cheese and olives. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food served. You will not be disappointed

Whenever we want good Persian/Middle Eastern food, we always head to Sufi's, excellent lamb, shrimp, rice, service - 1 entree will easily serve 2 people. Highly recommend - Around $25 per entree

The ambiance in Sufi's is dark and tables a little crowded. Service was good, not great, but the food speaks for itself. The chicken kabobs are perfectly cooked, rice is aromatic and addictive. While I've tried other Persian restaurants this is one I'll continue to come back to!

I liked the ability to sit inside or outside on their patio which also looked charming and did offer fans. The service was very good and our food was delicious. Everyone seemed pleased as we had ordered a beef dish, lamb dish and fish dish. The sea bass was a special and it was delicious! They were very accommodating to put it on a salad instead of rice with our dish and we very careful to check on ingredients as one of our guests had a bad allergy to a certain food item.

I have been to this restaurant a number of times. All experiences have been good for me and my friends and family that were with me. Start with Kashk Bademjan...it's like a dip and they bring Pita bread with it. All of the main dishes are good...many kabob choices. Entrees are around $20 give or take a few dollars...but well worth it.

I liked the restaurant, however the food (lamb kabob) was not all that. overall the service was great

Basically we are Persian food fans. We have been to Sufi many times when we used to live in Atlanta. This time we came to visit Atlanta and went searching for Sufi. We were disappointed with the extremely poor service of servers. And when complained to owner, he was like I dont care.

Excellent food, good wine selections, attentive staff. Had a great dinner with friends. We went on a Saturday evening for dinner. The starter consisted of Hummus, spicy roasted egg- plant dip, cucumber with yoghurt, cheese with radish etc. The dinner was Chicken Soltani X2, Chicken Barg Kabab. The desserts Pomegranate cheese cake and Persian ice cream. Our waitress was very attentive, cheerful, and brought all dishes hot and quickly. The place was very crowded and a bit noisy due to the number of people. But overall we had great food and wine. Highly recommended.

Went for lunch pretty quiet, nice wait staff, nice decor inside. Had a nice wine with my vegetarian sampler meal. There is an endless amount of great. The Kabobs have a lot of meat, enough for another meal.

This review is for a takeout order. While my husband enjoyed his lamb kabob, my meal was not good. The shirazi salad, which turned out to be a very small portion for $7, had a strange taste - something was wrong with the lemon juice; it was inedible. The Sufi's Veggie Stew was supposed to be eggplant, onions and chick peas in a tomato sauce. It was mostly sauce with a few chickpleas and four chunks of squash (zucchini and yellow). I could find no eggplant, and I ordered the dish specifically because I wanted eggplant. It was an insubstantial meal and not worth $15. Had I eaten in the restaurant I would have sent back the stew and salad. The photos show all of the salad I received and all of the vegetables in the stew.

I have come here several times to meet prior co-workers. Food is always very good. Staff is attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.

They used to be great but there food has declined. The portions are ridiculous. My 5 year got shish kabob which was 4 tiny pieces of meat and she was not full. Lunch portions are appetizer portions at dinner plate price.

My wife and I dined at Sufi's one weekend and found it to be very pleasant. The price was reasonable, service friendly, and the food was very nice as well. The bread and appetizers were excellent and really set the tone for a pleasant evening!

Once I have tried more of the menu it will probably go to 5 stars. First visit and blown away by the grill lamb kebab as good as anything I have tasted in the prestigious middle eastern banquets. I will be back to try more from this great menu.

First time there for a business meeting , the FOOD made me feel like home. The chef understood the assignment and added his magic to the recipe. That orange zest rice, sea bass, humus etc… everything tasted great…thank you guys yall the best so far!!!!!

Had no idea what to expect from a "Persian" restaurant. Menu is great, service is excellent. Prices are very reasonable for this area of Atlanta (dinner for four with cocktails, appetizer, and wine under $200). The menu is "meat heavy" featuring kabobs of all sorts. We had lamb, filet mignon, and Cornish game hen kabobs. All were incomparable. The same goes for the specialty rice dishes laced with fruit and nuts. Vegetables were no to be seen, but, surprisingly, we're not really missed. Try it!

This was my second visit to Sufi's, and while my dining partners' food was really good, mine was just so-so. The falafel and the mirza ghasemi (smoked eggplant dip) we shared were very good. My husband had the special mixed kebab (very good), our friend had the chicken kabob salad (very good), and I had the Sufi's stew, which was just okay, and the grilled veggies, which were not nearly done enough. I expected the stew to have eggplant and be garlicy and spicy, as listed, but I couldn't find any eggplant (there was squash and potatoes), and it was rather soupy and bland. On our previous visit we had the Sufi's Special appetizer, which was outstanding - I really thought, from the description, that the Sufi's Stew would be like that; I asked but apparently I did not understand our waitress's explanation. We split an order of baklava for dessert, and it was excellent. Our waitress was adorable and attentive, but her English was hard to understand and led to a minor misunderstanding in ordering involving the rice. We'll be back, but I'm going to be more careful about communication.

Great place for Perisan food, excellent service, and helpful staff. We sat inside but the interiors lights were dim and hard to read the menu. We had several dishes ranging from appetizers to main dishes.....they were delicious however the koobeideh was a bit dry. I would definitely recommend this place when in Atlantic.

I have tried persian food all over the world including Iran, and rate this place in top 5%. The ambience, meat quality, and taste of spices are excellent. This place is as close to authentic persian food as you can get in North America. We tried, Barg, Koobide, Jooje, and Mirza Ghasemi. All were prepared well. The service was also excellent. Definitely will try next time we are in Atlanta.

This restaurant is a favorite for many. Although I am not a huge fan of Persian food, the food was fresh and good. The server seemed new, but was knowledgeable about the menu. What is unique is how many items there were on the menu to provide a real range for those who do not wish to spend a lot and those who are willing to spend more. There was plenty of food with everyone's entree and the restaurant provided a nice, quiet atmosphere.

My husband and I dined at Sufi's for lunch in January. The atmosphere is really nice, very comfortable and pretty. The food is delicious and our server was very nice. We had plenty left over for another meal for each of us. The prices were maybe a little higher than what we have paid at similar restaurants of this type, but overall we had an excellent first visit.

I was not impressed at all and will probably not come back. When we get there, and despite of the fact that the main room was not full-- they took us to the back room --a sort of courtyard with a tent- with terrible light and sofocating heating. We requested to be move to the main room which was a bit more comfortable until the persian-inspired music started... The food was just OK, nothing very different to what you can get in mainstream restaurant. The only positive thing is that prices are very reasonable, which makes the rest of the experience easier to deal with.

Sufi's has an excellent selection of Persian food - suitable for sharing with a group. Appetizers and entrees are tasty - as is the flat-bread. The service is helpful - and the prices are fair. An enjoyable place for Persian food !

Nice little place - friendly owner, and authentic food. I think I preferred the fesenjoon I ate while actually in Iran, but this was pretty good too (they made a vegetarian version for me here). You can eat outdoors, and prices are reasonable.
Best Persian in atlanta!
I've been to 4 Persian restaurants so far in atlanta and this is my favorite! (So much so that we even had them cater our wedding!) Every meat dish is deliciously prepared--both barg and ground meat. The rice is amazing. The salads are huge! The hummus my favorite in atlanta and the people are kind! Go here! If on a budget, go during a weekday lunch (different smaller menu) or share a dinner entree and an appetizer with lots of bread! Cannot rave enough!
