Sugar is the worst run business. We arrived on a tuesday, worst table given and low volume. Waiter dropped all the water on my pants. 1 hour to get another round of drinks. Had to stand up to get my check. Check had an automatic 18% gratuity which management only told me that they could take that away. 200 dollars for having to beg for drinks on an empty place!!!! Never again...

When we entered a wait staff person instructed us to seat ourselves when I asked her if we needed to put our names in for a table (there were 8 of us). We found a table and sat down, ready to order drinks and food. Several minutes later the manager came over and rudely instructed us to leave. We asked why and he said we hadn’t waited for the table. Crazy. I let him know that we had been told to find a seat and he started interrogating me about this person...what was her name?...what did she look like? We were just here to have a good time, not for an altercation, so our entire group got up and left...went to The Bluebird where we were treated kindly.

We were lucky to be there 4pm when they open. No $100 per person minimum order. But two hour limit stay. Very special place to hang out. You have to meet the hostess in the Hotel Lobby Ground Floor, She gives you excess to the Elevator to get up.

As a local Miami resident since 2008, rest assured this is not somewhere to go if you are visiting or reside here. I’ve spent countless nights in the best clubs and restaurants in Miami and never had a worse experience than at this establishment. After spending hundreds of dollars and having a reservation for dinner and drinks the waitress told us we had to get up from the couch, which after you pay for 2 hours of open bar is insulting. When I complained, I was then kicked out of the bar by security. Do yourself a favor, do not patronize tea room or sugar if you are visiting Miami or live here.

The cocktails and bar bites were great....go early for the views of Miami....experience one of the city's popular hangouts

Nice place very well located. Spectacular view, nature and music. Worth visiting is an experience that you can not miss in Miami.

Sugar is the #1 place in Miami! When you pull up you will know by the elite cars and the line full successful dudes! Single Ladies this is where you want to be. If you are lucky while inside SUGAR you will get the invite through 2 secret doors and trust me you have NEVER seen anything like this!! (The Tea Room).. The staff is friendly fast and professional. The GM has it all figured out! While your there you must try a Mister Miami Wendell the best Alcoholic beverage you will ever taste. The sushi is fab as well! Valet and Security are great as well! If you don’t have a 2am bedtime follow the rest of the crowd to Miami Wet and that’s where you will see the stars until 6:30am! I can’t wait to go back to SUGAR!

It’s completely our fault for booking this reservation when we knew from our experience in the past. We just thought it would be different this time. But no, same rude staff and bad service over all. We made our reservation thru our credit card company. There was no mention of two hour limit. We were 14 people group on a Thursday and we knew that we needed reservation that would accommodate a large group. We also didn’t care abt their minimum $100 per person. We knew that we were going to be above our spending limit. When we arrived they told us about two hour limit. We explained to them that there was no mention of it when we made the reservations. Otherwise we would have gone somewhere else. Somehow we convinced them that we would be spending enough money there & the person we were dealing with agreed to not have a time restriction. We got seated at a very small table that hardly fit 8 people comfortably. After we ordered three bottles of tequila & some food, our server brought the check. We were completely shocked because we were just getting started. So there was def a miscommunication between the person who agreed to not have a two hour limit & our server. Whatever the case, we settled the check and left. We will not visit this place again.

The views are unbeatable, the food is very good, good service and the place is wonderful, a must-see, in Brickell!

Great view. Call ahead for a table with a view. George at the bar was excellent. He mixes the best drinks and great advice on local spots.

COZY, not a big space, has some tables, but not many COCKTAILS were great! With mine I could have got drunk and feed a goat :) VIEW, very nice view on the city centre

Sushi is excellent. . . however, the snobby attitude is a bit much. Prior to entering the door and taking a seat, you have to provide a credit card and commit to spending $200 on food and drinks, which isn't hard. But damn, talk about being bold during COVID. Guessing it's a way to manage people and COVID contact, and still make a lot of money. Go for the view. Honestly, order a bottle of wine and the all inclusive sushi, it's several rolls, on one platter and call it a night.

I highly recommend The roof top Sugar Bar at East Hotel.. they have an amazing view, delicious food And drinks and fun music..

I was celebrating my 30th and a friend recommended this place. I love the name and I love rooftop bars so I couldn’t pass it up. Drinks were good but for a Thursday night it was very crowded. It was a cool vibe and I’d definitely come back, maybe on a quieter night

I've been going to Sugar since it opened and it's only gotten better with time. The service is amazing, exactly what I expect from such an establishment here on Miami. The drinks are incredible and the food is to die for. All this combined with incredible views of the whole city make Sugar and Tea Room an absolute must see in Miami, whether you're a local or here on vacation.

The food was delicious. The waiter was great. BUT the entrence staff was arrogant and unfriendly. The way how they talk to you is not acceptable compared to the required minimum consumption (100.- per person). The view would be nice - BUT only Miami‘s high sociaity has access to the front row view and is separated. So that you cannot reach directly the nice view. What can be said positively it that the jungle ambience is very unique.

Wonderful evening with colleagues and our bartender Amir was amazing. Can't wait to return next time I'm in Miami.

Last night in Miami, my sisters and I wanted to have a drink before heading back to the hotel. We had a very nice time at the MO bar at the Mandarin Oriental- the waitress was lovely and helpful. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about our experience at the Sugar, the rooftop bar at the East. The bouncer was friendly and let us in to have a drink. One of the waitresses, however, was unfriendly. She wanted to collect the cushions before the closing time and when I told her my sister was seriously ill and had difficulty walking, she simply ignored it and was rude, She showed no sympathy at all. On the other hand, she didn’t collect the cushions from other customers sitting nearby. I should say she lacks many skills, including knowing how to treat customers and people. Perhaps she should be trained by the polite and sweet waitress at the MO bar, whose name I unfortunately cannot remember. I told the bouncer it looked like prejudice. Maybe it was just favouritism towards hotel guests or locals. Whatever the reason, it just shows that some members of the staff are not prepared to deal with the public, which can be confirmed by reading some of the reviews here. What was meant to be a pleasant experience turned out to be very upsetting especially to my sister, who just wanted to have a good tine and celebrate sisterhood. Although the bar is nice and the view is beautiful, I don’t recommend Sugar. I’ve been to other rooftop bars which were way better.

Went there with a couple of colleagues to relax after 5 heavy working days. The elevator reaching roof top (floor #40) has some kind of ipnotic visual effect. Not a big rooftop but well organized. Drinks were good as the atmosphere we were breathing. A nice place to consider when having time.

Nice rooftop, weak drinks, cocky bouncers, great views, lots of tourists, great location, pricey drinks, good music. Will not return

BEWARE. Horrible experience and a complete rip off. I failed to read the fine print and they want a minimum spend of $100 per person for a table booking - completely my mistake but it’s also very sneaky how they do it. We had a dinner reservation an hour later so we decided to go to the bar instead and spent in that hour $115 on drinks. Next day they charged $70 for a no show fee. Completely unacceptable as we did show up but didn’t take the table. Now they won’t return my requests for a refund. I am visiting from out of town but will make sure to tell friends to avoid this place for any future recommendations. Very disappointed.

I’m not the review writing type, but last night’s incident at Sugar certainly warrants one. We went to the rooftop bar at Sugar. It’s a beautiful space. I wanted to get a table and have a few drinks and appetizers and was told that the tables were a $100 per person minimum spend, I had two hours to spend this much money, an 18% gratuity was automatically added in, and oh yeah, we need to hold your credit card. I thought this was pretty over the top obnoxious, and was already having misgivings, but we had parked, walked, and so against my better judgment I thought OK. We were seated at a lovely table, and the views are pretty spectacular from the rooftop bar. I have to say, the food was pretty good too, which is why this is a two star, and not a one star or no star rating, although the server very pushily tried to get me to buy some fancy, overpriced bottled water that I didn’t ask for. And that was the beginning of this two star experience, because the service, from top to bottom, in a word, sucked. When it came time to settle up I couldn’t get out of there. I asked a number of different wait staff to please have my server come over with my check, oh yes, and my credit card, and I certainly got my check, but no credit card. 30 minutes after getting my check but no credit card I simply got up and walked over to the hostess stand and asked to see the manager. I told the manager that I was extremely dissatisfied with my service experience, and that I would like to adjust the 18% gratuity added in there, And oh yeah, please give me my credit card. I was told unequivocally that could not be done because, you see, doing so would punish all the people who depend on the gratuity, not just the server, but the expediters, chefs, etc. I told the manager that I certainly understood that, but that I was in the service industry too, and when a client or customer has a poor service experience, adjustments have to be made, and that means adjusting the bill, or properly training the wait staff, or if necessary terminating them. The manager immediately snaps back “don’t tell me how to run my business.“ The conversation, as you might imagine, degenerated from there. After some further, fairly nasty and unprofessional exchanges I was offered to have two of the drinks comped and I accepted. I signed my bill, but guess what, STILL no credit card. A small crowd had formed and was looking on and I really wanted to get out of there, so I left and immediately reported my credit card as stolen, which of course it was. Based on the exchange a couple followed us out, commenting that they could not believe what they just witnessed. Honestly, neither could I. I will never go to Sugar again, I will make sure to steer everyone I know away from there, and I hope whoever is reading this is forewarned if they do decide to go.

The view is amazing. For a table you have to spend 100$ per person which is fine that’s not a problem but the we had made a reservation for three and when they walked us to our table there were only two chairs and the hostess said oh I’m going to get another chair and then we stood there and she realized she had to solve the problem right away and only gave us a stool. The server was great he was very nice but the service was slow and not consistent for the amount of money per person. The food was good and the drinks were good but the service was not great, it was very slow and the place was not even full or busy.

I came with my friends to have a couple of drinks. We sat on a nice table after a rainy day. The chairs didnt have cushions on, so I asked the waiter if I could use the cushions. He said, no because he "highly doubted that we were going to return the cushions in case it rained again." We thought that it was very mean, especially because we were ordering lots of expensive drinks.

Went up in the fast lift to be asked to pay 100 $ per person to sit at a table. Very loud music, no view and filled with posing people. No thanks! Down in the very fast lift foe me.

Sugar has always been on my radar and finally we were downtown Miami spot hopping for my birthday and it had just opened early in the afternoon, so we decided to go see what it was all about. Knowing it was a rooftop I was thrilled when we got up there to see the vibe and view, both exceptional. Friendly & Quick service, Great cocktails. Hope to be back in the area soon to spend more time here.

Let's start with the cocktails, they got the legendary Tommy wrong. They filled the glass with ice and after the first few sips it was watered down (at home I do it properly by shaking and then filtering the ice!) The gin and tonic had a choice of just 3 gins And then we arrive at the highlight of the evening, at one (not three!) after they came to tell us that they were closing and to go away, they took the light away from the table and left us in the dark. Not happy, after 2 minutes they came back to remove the chair cushion from under our butts while we were still drinking our cocktail!!! And there it came naturally to me to ask him “do you want my shoes too!!??” Rooftop view nothing special Roberto

Love this place! Beautiful view and ambience! Can’t wait for reopening! Nice cocktails and very professional staff. Highly recommend.

Came to Sugar to celebrate my Birthday and the whole staff was simply outstanding! From the fabulous hostess (Ms. Christine) to the gorgeous waitress (Ms. Karina) that tended to us. Amazing afternoon in an amazing place with breathtaking views! They made my birthday special and memorable! Thank You SUGAR!!! 🫶🏼🙏🏼😘

Do Not Go There‼️‼️‼️ When we made the reservation, nobody told us that the minimum charge per person will be $100, when we arrived but the only time that we were told this information and they told us if you leave, will you charge you $35 per person. So unfortunately, we decided to stay which the food was horrible. We waited for our drinks for a long time, we Enders up 13 people with a bill of $1800. Out rages ‼️‼️ Do yourself a favor and don’t go there

I'm privileged to work on Brickell Avenue, and stop in once in awhile for happy hour. The view has to be experienced -- words fall short. The closest accurate description came from my friend after two martinis, as we gazed East: "I'm pretty sure I see Bimini from here." One warning to old people like me (I'm 57): Miami is a young person's city, and you will definitely feel like Mom or Dad here. But the drinks are well poured, and you ought to be looking out at the city, anyway, not at the South American models, and lamenting how old you are...

The food and ambiance were just perfect. Because summer comes every year, they should be prepared for weather conditions by placing ventilators around. But they were not. Requiring a minimum consumption of a $100 per guest is not outrageous; what is outrageous is how uncomfortable the seats and the tables are (and we got the good ones!) and how broken down the bathrooms were. It wasn’t our first time, but it was our last.

went on a blustery drizzly day The bar was very congested with very little seating, would save this location for a better day the bar staff were off hand, but the cocktails and food good. Would also try and go earlier rather than later in the evening to get a spot

Go early to enjoy a beautiful view. We went from 7-10 on a Thursday night and reserved a table in a quiet corner with a spectacular view. Enjoyed the bang bang shrimp, a few rolls and some lovely cocktails. Be prepared for $100 per person minimum. By the time we left you could barely move through the young crowd. A nice, once in a while treat.

We went during the week and there were no minimums or reserved tables. We could sit wherever we wanted. It was still pretty full. The views are of course great here... the service not so much. The bartender was borderline rude. Why? Who knows...we still tipped more than we probably should have. They should rename this place to "Salt".

They are misleading! You need to pay 100$ fee to enter, although it’s not written when you reserve a table. I must say that it’s not written at all! The manager didn’t want to help at all and the experience was terrible!

Great atmosphere and vibe with an amazing view. Service was incredible, drinks and food were excellent. I highly encourage you to visit sugar if you’re in town.

Excellent experience good time, not so busy , good treatment and service, liked the food and excellent view

Absolutely spectacular and amazing view and service. What a knowledgable bartenders! Rare find. Love it.

Spectacular view, food and drinks! Overall great vibes and service. :) Make sure to visit. I'll be back for more!

Sophisticated and naturally pricey place at a location with a mint view. A nice little garden at the 40th (ish) floor. The bartenders were some great guys — but the hostesses were no people I’d hang out with; stiff and posh attitudes as if they didn’t want us there. Expect to spend if sitting down. People in front of us wearing shorts didn’t get in — chose your outfit wisely.

My boyfriend and I spent a vacation in Miami and we couldn't miss dinner at one of these fantastic rooftops in the city of Brickell. Sugar and against all odds dining inside is much nicer because you will have all the views of the city directly from the top floor. You enter only leaving your credit card as collateral and not only, they will hold it for the duration of the dinner. The minimum spend no matter what you eat or drink is $100 each. Recommendation the experience because dinner by candlelight with that view is absolutely crazy, to do at least once.

From the first moment up on the top floor when we met Carlos.... who smiled and led us to The Tea Room for our late night brunch.... he only had to say have fun and we were off.... high above Miami with unlimited wine, beer and champagne to pair with great food. All for $88!!!! It’s not your Vegas buffet. The food is so fresh and flavorful. Little sushi to start, lamb lollipops and bang bang chicken (yes and yes again!) Wines were great and service with Barbara was on point. Then we wandered over to Sugar for s nightcap. Ok and a dance.... all in all a perfect night!!!

This oasis in the sky is truly unique... always outdoors - after all its Miami - 360 degree views while you sip your cocktail - and maybe a little sushi - perfect for entertaining outoftowners !

Atmosphere is 10/10! I have been several times and it is definitely #1 in Miami! It is great for date night, friends outing, girls night and even business! Service is top notch and very friendly. Highly recommend, can't wait to go back.

Great entrance through the foyer of the East hotel, you take the lift to the 40th floor. Great ambience with hip music and cool people aplenty. Great setting with foliage all over the place and incredible views all over Downtown Miami. Cocktails were great, food was good too. Service was really attentive and prompt. It’s pricey but but considering the setting snd vista it was justified - would defo recommend if you appreciate the theatre and aesthetics of the environment alongside cool food, drink and clientele…

Excellent service, good ambiance with a stunning view. The drinks were on point. Definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Miami or just for a fun night with friends.

Thanks for the wonderful food and service. Our server was José, amazing job, professional and smiley. We went after to the Tea Room and have an Amaro on the rock, really nice.

Very nice rooftop! Great view and atmosphere! Drinks are very nice and there is a good variety of cocktails. Good modern music.

If you're looking for the best rooftop views, bar scene, and great sushi then Sugar is the spot to be. With great views of the city and bay this is definitely the place to be for a sunset drink or post dinner. The outside bar is led by a team of a grear bartenders. Every time I've been here the bartenders are very knowledgeable about different cocktails and recipes and can tailor to your taste. My go to bartender, Amir, knows his stuff...having worked all over the world. Pro-tip: they don't have a wide selection of beer so don't go there if you're looking for cheap beer. This is a place to see and be seen.

This place is overrated I had a reservation and they donde even care found a table and sited waitress brought my food and wine and then hostess threw me out the table and said that someone had a reservation and told her I I did as well didn’t even ask me my name of at time did I reserve. Careless. Do not recommend menu too small

Before we entered the ladies at the entrance were utterly rude and told us we could not enter as one male In our group was wearing flip flops. When we entered, there were kids running around, women in flip flops and sandals, men in tracksuit bottoms - an absolute double standard. The view was blocked by a mountain of trees and closed off despite there being a number of available tables. Totally over price considering the service is awful.

I went there many times. When I go there I spend 200- 400 $$ all the time. Yes, its expensive place. It has fantastic views.

This place is amazing, food is delicious!! The atmosphere is so chic, beautiful people. The service cannot be better!! 5 stars for Barbara, Paulina and Meg you're so professional. Been here many times and will keep going! :-) Thanks Tea Room and Sugar.

That night, me and my wife had decided to try it after we eat our dinner outside the hotel in one of Brickell Restaurant (we were guests in EAST hotel - where the Sugar bar is located). So, before we went to eat our dinner we went to that bar to make a reservation beforehand At the entrance, the bodyguard popped out from nowhere and told us "Guys, short is not allowed." I was wearing a short with polo T shirt and moccasin. I told him yea I know your clothes code but we are here just to make a reservation and go. (I WAS PLANNING TO CHANGE MY CLOTHES AFTER THE DINNER). So we advanced through two hostess and asked her for a reservation and not for entrance. She respond rudely "Sorry we cant make a reservation because of clothes code". I didnt like her attitude and decided not to explain to her that I was planning to change my clothes after we eat our dinner. So I said to her "Thank you, goodbye .These people are not qualified for that job

If you are in Miami, don’t miss this rooftop on the 40th floor, it’s a real nugget! Everything was perfect: the breathtaking views of the city and the ocean, impeccable service, a warm and chic atmosphere on the terrace... And what about the menu? It is simply the best food address in town. The dishes are fresh, tasty, and prepared with incredible creativity. Each bite is an explosion of flavors. A culinary and visual experience that I recommend without hesitation. A memorable, magical and unique moment!

Nice roof top bar overlooking the bay, and some of the islands west of Miami beach. Can get food there as well but minimal tables..more like a great bar. Drink prices reasonable. Can get cold up there with breezes off of the colder ocean

$100/ guest +tip+tax. Thats $130 minimum per guest. Views are very partial because even its a 40th floor, there 2 or 3 huge buildings 60 or 70 floors crossing the street, sk the views are totally blocled and yiu need to look between buildings, honestly views are not espectacular. You can see inside the rooms of these neighbors though. They are so close that you can see what they are eating or what movie they have in their TV. Now, at this price you would expect some quality. I wanted to go to have a nice glass of wine. Thats not an option in this place. They dint have any good wine in their list. They have just 2 different type of red wines wither. By the glass or by the bottle. And both are cheap. They only have 5 different options in white wines and all of them cheap cheap cheap. So instead I went for a Grey Goose Martini. They don't have Martini glasses. They brought my Martini in a glass. 😭😭. Food was not even close to average. Tataki very insipid. shrimps were OK but you can get better at Panda Express. 2 hours and I got an email telling me that my 2 hours allocation was close to expire. I dont have a problem paying big, but at least you should be able to get some quality. This place is not for people looking for a good drink, wine or food. I dint get it. Btw was Sunday evening, beautiful sunset and was not even close to full. So you don't really need a reservation. Probably people is realizing that this is a bad place..

First time in Sugar was a blast! The line outside, which starts in the first floor was long but did go by rather quickly. The elevator up was pretty cool, the walls inside of it have a infinity effect with the lights that make for a nice picture. Once you get to the bar, that’s where the fun starts. The music is high enough for you to jam to but low enough to keep a conversation going. I think I waited 30 seconds before I was greeted by Claudio, super cool bartender. I had no idea what to order but Claudio asked me some questions and was able to recommend the perfect cocktail. It had mezcal and and grapefruit, what a drink! I kept ordering it all night and with no delay, Claudio would shake it up and pour!! Effortlessly!! I cannot wait to go back and relive the experience I had the first time Thanks sugar and shout out Claudio for serving the best cocktails and being a really cool dude.

We were staying at East and decided to go up to Sugar one night. The hostess was nice and we told her we would go to the bar. Tons of people at and around the bar. No one at tables, probably due to the $10 charge just to sit at a table. Drinks were pricey, but pretty good. Bar tender was friendly and helpful in choosing a drink. This seemed like the place to be. Due to the crowd, not quite our vibe. Might returm.

The crunchy salmon rolls were soooo yum! but 18$ a lot. also the edamame was unbeatable. and the drinks are delicuius as well but pricy. can recommend the Lychee drink and the road to Bangkok. View is okay but not the best in town.

It is a vibrant place with nice people a tipical miami place were you can enjoy the wether and drinks it has great views of the city

the views, the drinks, all very chick. you go here for an experience best rooftop in Miami amazing drinks.

The food, drinks, and view was amazing. I would recommend any couple to go. You have to ride an elevator to get to the restaurant. Because of how high the restaurant is, you ears will pop on the elevator just like an airplane ride.

Some of the best views in Miami. Amazing skyline. Sushi style menu - we tried spring rolls and edamame both came quickly and were nice. The beauty of this bar along with the views is how it’s broken up into sections so with a group you could feel pretty private! Music was good and felt like a place that really picks up later on. For me we liked the mid afternoon lull so we could appreciate the view. Drinks were some of the best in Miami. Garnishes were beautiful and the bar was well set up to make sure if this. The garnishes were so beautifully set out I had to take a photo ;-)

The most impressive thing about this place is the atmosphere and the service. It is something that can not be anticipated nor be valued in dollars. Sugar understands their business model and they aim to provide the highest quality lounge experience possible. I don’t think I have ever had this level of care and attention in Miami. We went to celebrate a birthday and arrived in the most foul moods. The atmosphere we had had derailed all the good intentions, but in the end, this is how we left. See pics

Fun place but really crowded on the weekends, good drinks but pricey. Paid about $25 for a margarita.

If there was a way to rate this place a 0 I honestly would. My friends and I were looking forward to experiencing this rooftop bar but unfortunately my friend was discriminated against because she was wearing flip flops. However, three other groups walked in while we waited to speak to a manager where at least one person per group who was wearing flip flops. This felt very inflamed and discriminatory in its nature. Really disappointed and do not recommend whatsoever!!

This place is beautiful, but in the two times that i have been there, i notice that they will kick you out and when you stay too long. This is not only not nice, but rude. This is not the only place in Miami with a view and no ones deserves to be asked to leave after a certain time. I hope management reads this.

Beautiful terrace with views of Miami. A very well decorated place and nice atmosphere. Very delicious food and very good service

After hearing all the hype about this place and Brickell we had to give it a try. Upon arrival there was what appeared to be a hostess/security guard standing behind I am little roped off area who decides if you’re able to come in or not. I took theirs to imply that they were ensuring everyone was adhering to their strict dress code. We certainly were. After entering the restaurant we were taken to our seated area which was roped off. There was a reserved sign on our table which was inconsequential to the six people who were sitting there having cocktails dressed in gym at tire. The house does last of the move. They seemed rather put off by having to do so. Looking around the restaurant I noticed that quite a few people inside were dressed in ball caps and football jerseys. One guy even was wearing flip-flops. I guess the guy at the front door could really care less about the attire that management has put in place. Or, it’s just another case of sloppy management which is so common here in Miami. The food was OK and the service was OK. But all of the to do and patience of this restaurant left us very disappointed. There is so many other places to go in Miami where you actually have a posh restaurant and everyone is dressed like they give a damn. Most of the people at this restaurant look like they either just rolled out of bed or just left the gym. Overall we felt this place sucks and we certainly won’t be back.

Hi there. Visited Sugar for the first time yesterday 12th of May 2019. Atmosphere was great, views equally breathtaking. I visited so many bars around the world and in particular in London UK. The difference in the level of professionalism in London compared to Sugar is massive and sadly disappointing for Sugar. Asking for a glass of water and hearing the bartender laughing ironically in my face shows it all. He has white hair and beard his drink was below average (Tiger Lily). I dont know then from where does he get so much confidence. He has a lot to learn to gets improved as a bartender but most importantly as a human being. A disappointed customer. Thank you

Exquisite drinks and excellent atmosphere. I ordered an old fashioned that was very good. The exquisite food and its location is spectacular.

Sugar is named to Conde' Nast's 10 best rooftop bars in the United States. Great atmosphere, great weather, great staff. Fourty stories high at Brickell Plaza you get 360 degree views, its a garden oasis with lush trees and plants. The decor has gray sofas, the crowd is well heeled in their 50's. The menu is Asian tapas, cocktales.

Very accommodating bartenders and security guards. Nice and tasty cocktails. Big trees and bushes on the rooftop bar on 40th. floor with seating in nooks and crannies is very cosy. And what a fireworks display we saw from up there. The tea bar at the other end of the floor is fantastic.

Beautiful views! Can be pricey but we just went for apps and drinks. Totally worth it, even when it drizzles outside! Staff is nice

After being a customer here and brickell resident for over 2 years I recently had a absolutely terrible and traumatizing experience here with some staff members at Sugar. One of the managers Sébastien called me out of name as well as physically assaulted and humiliated me infront of other guests and staff members. I was sexually harassed by a Hispanic security guard. A female, who I believe to be either a host or possibly a second manager also aggressively grabbed me by my upper arm. This all stemmed from a misunderstanding from me experiencing food poisioning symptoms at the establishment. I was treated like I was something that I was not. These people need to be fired. Unfortunately, this happened Saturday night so, I have not had the chance to speak with HR yet. However, I have filed a formal complaint with police and I encourage anyone else who has had a similar experience here to do the same! No one should be humiliated, harassed, and assaulted for no reason but a misunderstanding where a crime wasnt even committed. Especially at a place that I have been coming to for over 2 years with no issues. I am completely traumatized from this entire ordeal!

Great place, great atmosphere, service food and drinks. Faultless position ontop of the world, veiws and sun set makethis a must.

Castiana, the manager is extremely rude - there’s a minimum spend of $100 per person that’s imposed if you want to have a table, in its left, not a huge amount. You go to a rooftop for the view, but we were sat on the one corner where the view was of a construction site, not the most pleasant. Asked to be moved and Castiana’s response was that “Unfortunately it’s Miami and there’s construction everywhere”. Very disappointing, however the saving grace is that the food is good. Wouldn’t recommend, there are far better rooftops in Miami, with very helpful staff.

Sugar is located on the 40th floor of the EAST, Miami hotel, its trendy to have Asian inspired cocktails on rooftop among skyscrapers. They have music and food.

We went on Saturday, the weather was perfect, the views are stunning and we had fun sitting at the bar, if you are visiting this is a must place to go, we would definitely return again.

Ive never been obligated anywhere on a minimum “per person” or had my credit card held hostage from me. The staff would not pop a smile if their life depended on it. I understood it was $100 per table, then learned it was per person. We were full and and honestly pretty tired. It was a Monday night. But we were obligated to spend $140 more on our check. My friends were visiting from France and Spain were personally offended by the control and mafia style business. I am glad to pay much more anywhere in Miami but never again at Sugar. Food and drinks are ok, you can get it anywhere in Miami without the threats, bad service or control.

I visited the rooftop Sugar earlier this month. The rooftop is pretty awesome with the amazing views and the drink offerings. It is a great place to hang out with friends or colleagues after work. The vibe is pretty chill and the atmosphere is laid back. The setting is picturesque with the Miami skyline surrounding you. Get there for the sunset and evening drinks. This was a great experience to hang out and get to know the locals. Not as many tourists as South Beach. Also, good selection of whisky is a plus.

Steer clear of this place as their main goal is to screw you out of money. They have a $100 minimum spend fee per person which they conveniently conceal in a separate link within their online reservation system. They charged me a $90.00 cancellation fee for not meeting their spend limit. The staff needs training on how to communicate with customers. The hostesses have an “IDGAF” attitude and the manager is unable to assist customers without getting emotional and hostile. I’m not sure how somebody with a serious lack of management skills was hired for the position but that says a lot about the health of the establishment overall. There are much finer places to visit in Miami where you don’t feel like you’re being screwed.

Fantastic place on the 40th floor of a skyscraper in the heart of Miami. Mandatory consumption per person but excellent dishes and cocktails. Too bad about the wind sometimes a bit annoying. Very courteous staff. Recommended

Miami is strange. They allowed us to make reservations. Had to pay $35 each for 4 people if you canceled (I understand that-I'm reserving a spot). One hour before the reservation I receive an email saying the minimum per person (table of 4) is $100 each. Wait-shouldn't I have been made aware of that BEFORE? If I cancel I'm stuck with $140 on my credit card. They make a huge deal on dress code but don't enforce it. The waiter said one bartender on staff so waiting for drinks. The food was average. We are waiting on drinks all night and then waiter gives us our drinks and tells us our time at table is up. Wait you made us wait 30 minutes per drink now your saying here's your drink get out. When making the reservation make sure you say to get a table with a view otherwise you couldn't tell you were on the roof! NO sights to see. If you are hip/trying to hook up want to be seen you can go here. If you are looking for a good meal and sights-go elsewhere.

Great location and beautiful plants but incredibly rude staff - just not worth it to come here because of the bad service.

First, I have to say that it's a very nice and trendy place BUT definitely too crowded. We went with a group of 10 for my husband's birthday and we couldn't even get a drink. The bar was full and there was no place to sit or even look at the beautiful view. Unfortunately, after about 10 minutes, it started raining and we had to leave. I would definitely try this place on a weekday but not a weekend.

Discriminatory practices, stay away! This place is a huge disappointment and an extreme lack of basic customer service. I worked with Castiana Johnson, (Nightlife Manager) at Sugar- Miami for several weeks and confirmed a reservation for 6 guests on Saturday the 10th of September at 7pm. This was a special event for my husband’s 50th birthday celebration. Castiana confirmed a rooftop table with two “birthday platters” and all other menu items to flow throughout the evening for our guests. We had reserved the space for 2 hours that evening. I had a final confirmation from Castiana the week before that everything was all set! When we arrived at 6:45pm for our reservation, we were denied access and were told by the doorman that this was due to open toed shoes. Mind you, the ladies were in evening attire/cocktail dress and the guys were wearing slacks, button up shirts and one had dress sandals (it is Miami after all). I showed the doorman (and later security) Castiana’s email thread confirming our reservation and the schedule of events for the evening, but he could care less. When I pleaded my case and asked for a manager, I was told that “all managers are in a meeting and will be for a very long time, you’re welcome to wait!” I then called Castiana twice and sent two emails as well in hopes of getting some assistance, all were unanswered or not returned. Meanwhile, while all of this was taking place, we observed numerous men and women being allowed access wearing t-shirts, baggy – ripped shorts, flip flops, and so forth. For the record, I could care less but don’t tell my group we cannot enter due to open toed shoes when you continued to allow multiple persons to enter wearing flip-flops! To be fair, I sent one final follow up email to give Sugar/Castiana one last chance to respond and right this wrong. However, it is now September 20th, TEN days later and still nothing from Sugar. This only further confirms their lack of care, customer service and extremely poor and unprofessional practices: not to mention common courtesy to their patrons. Needless to say, the night was ruined. The car service scheduled for drop and pick-up ruined, the evening of celebration and dinner ruined. Sugar-Miami is a huge disappointment, the staff was extremely rude and discriminatory. Consider yourself warned, you will be much better off looking elsewhere to spend your evening or special occasion.

In the end we perched on a stool, ordered two beers and took in the view and left. We were almost sorry to disturb the 4 bar staff who were chatting away and did not seem to want to serve us...but hey th bar area was almost empty with prime comfortable seats roped off for their hope for big spenders. A little inhospitable and somewhere to miss out on in the future.

The place is very very busy, the food is ok but drinks are very good and also beautiful view on the city

A good place to spend some time for a drink, for a sushi experience and a good talk. Nice people at the bar. A little bit confuse about how to be seated. Probably next time we'll make a reservation.

Incredible door staff downstairs. Handled the crowd with ease on a busy weekend. Helped my group make a reservation there on the spot and recommended the Tea Room for us where my wife and her friends enjoyed greatly. 10/10 would recommend to people!

40th floor Rooftop Bar with Balinese Garden. Excellent drinks. As other reviewers have mentioned they are expensive, but when we went on a Sunday Night, the place was full so apparently not too expensive... Great bar staff. Also, really enjoyed the super techie elevators with cool lighting 😁

Sugar Sceney | Vibes | Views Sceney - This place is one of the hardest spots to get into. Therefore, if you get in, bring your best fit. You will see models (runway, print, fitness, and the IG type) everywhere. Sugar is the spot to impress a group or get a feel for what "exclusive" Miami looks like. Vibes - this place is a whole vibe. One of the top rooftop bars in the country. With amazing decor and decorations. It is like being in a curated tropical jungle on a rooftop. The coolest part is that while it is an "open" concept, you have a lot of privacy. Our table for 10 was simultaneously secluded and open. We easily had a conversation while the music played, and we were able to connect with the tables around us. It is pretty ideal if you want to communicate with other people looking to impress for the night. Views - 40+ stories high in the middle of Brickle, Sugar has amazing views. It has 270-degree views of the city. You can see south beach, Key Biscayne, and all of brickle from the rooftop. At night it is pretty amazing. Take the time to walk around and take in all the views. Pro Tip - Make a reservation at least two weeks out. You will not get in without a reservation unless you are 9+ and know the bouncers. Table reservations have a $100 minimum (without tip and gratuity). Therefore, bring your appetite and drinking shoes to make the experience worth it.

We had a beautiful meal at Sugar last night. The service was top notch - I loved our server and I wish I could remember her name to give her a shoutout. I saw her taking pictures of all the tables there for the guests, which was going above and beyond! The ambiance is so cool that you’ll definitely want photos. It feels like you’ve stepped inside a rain forest with amazing views of the city. The food was presented beautifully. You can’t go wrong with the sushi rolls or any of the appetizers we tried, but I particularly loved the bao buns. I left feeling satisfied but not overly full, which is the sign of a perfect meal. There is a minimum spend of $100 a person, but that’s incredibly easy to hit with wine, cocktails and food. We ended up hitting $198 for two people before tax and tip, so that was a pretty spot on minimum. If you’re in Miami, this place is a must! Make a reservation to ensure you get a table with a view!

We have stayed at East twice in two years and each time visited Sugar. Both experiences were not that great. Let me say first, the place is absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious. The wait staff and the bartenders were not welcoming and downright rude. We stood in plain sight of the staff who never even asked if they could help or seat us. Granted, it was 15 minutes after opening, but the place was empty! The staff looked right through us. We stood there for at least 5 minutes, took seats on our own, and waited for service. After almost 10 minutes, we approached the bar to get a drink and place a food order. It was delivered some time later by a girl who just put the plates on the table and walked away. She never came back to our table but was in plain sight chatting with the other waitress at the bar. The place is SMALL. It’s not like they forgot us. We had to approach the bar again for the check, which was handed to us by a disgruntled bar tender. Not a word of thanks. Probably won’t be back.

sugar is one of the worst bars I have ever been to. i showed up with my male friend with a reservation. they told us that he needed pants. we went to zara next door to change and came back with a reservation. they told me I couldn’t come in (I am a female) with open toed shoes. why didn’t they tell me this the first time? i asked to speak with a manager and they refused until I got upset. the manager didn’t even ask to hear about my experience - her staff said not to let me in. there were a ton of other women with open toed shoes. it’s literally 8pm and we had a reservation: the manager is so rude and I will never come back here. they also let “pretty women“ in with no exceptions. disgusting.and it was totally a race thing.

Beautiful place but horrible, rude staff .. Courtney and Valentina It was a very unpleasant experience on my birthday .. save your money and go somewhere else .

Nice roof top but no possibility of having a supposedly reserved table even if you spend money on cocktails and food Worse, access to viewpoints is blocked To avoid

Manager was rude. They are fraud. DON’T GO THERE!!! They charged 30 dollars for person even we didn’t go there. Everything was terrible.

Love this beautiful place. Great views of the city and in an are of Miami that I would truly love to return to. It is my favorite part of Brickell and this place just sweet and nice just like its name.

Wonderful Rooftop in Brickell. Drinks a bit sweet, but this is typical in the United States... otherwise one of the most beautiful rooftops I have been to. View of Miami skyscrapers unforgettable

I visited Sugar on a Wednesday night, we took a seat at a table (most were empty) and a very rude waiter came over to tell us we would have to move if someone else wants the table, no reason given. There were no reserved signs on the tables, and literally most were empty. This is not how you should treat your customers! In addition to this there were empty glasses throughout that had not been cleared. Overall not what you expect when you are paying a huge premium for your drinks.

They “don’t allow sandals”, this phrase was said by a hostess with a big smile, I could see all her white teeth and I just don’t understand the reason of her happiness when she said this to me. I’m from Miami, I heard something about Sugar’s dress code, but I was wearing slacks and leather sandals... on July, and it wasn’t dark yet. I’m totally agree with dress codes guys, but please, just a bit of common sense. If you have to inform your clients they aren’t welcome because of some dress code, please be nice... but credibly nice... and don’t be rude, remember you can be rude while smiling to people who can write a review.

This is one of the coolest places in Miami lately, but if you want to spend some good time there, I recommend coming early - we came to have diner on the Uruguayan restaurant in the same building and tried to come to Sugar and after diner, the line was insane! If you come early (before 9PM) you probably won´t have trouble coming upstairs

We have been to sugar a few times and recommend to any friends who visit miami, the view is incredible, bar staff is awesome, drinks are great , and the sushi we had was great too. Never a disappointment. If you are visiting miami or live in miami sugar will never let you down.

This place is great. We appreciate the view which is absolutely stunning. If you are in Miami you have to visit Sugar roof top!

Sugar is a must if you’re in Miami. Came here for a ladies night after work. The vibe in perfect, food is delicious and service is impeccable. The view from this rooftop bar is AMAZING. Can’t wait to return!

Stunning and stylish rooftop bar located in EAST Miami. I had a cocktail from the spritz collection which was very good. I wanted a drink with a low alcohol content and the bartender suggested I go for one of the options here. Very nice, refreshing and light. I had some wok tossed edamame to nibble on. Divine. Stunning venue with lovely views of the skyline. Romantic. Good music. A majority of the venue is open so probably not a good option if it is raining. Only the bar area is covered. Would recommend otherwise.

Very bad service, I had a very bad experience with my reservation, they made me wait for 1 hour to tell me that they had already closed the kitchen and my table was not available.

The view at sugar is very nice, but you have to spend $100 per person to sit down at a table and eat (unless you sit at the bar) The food (Asian) isn't bad but it is quite pricey for the size of the portions they give, they do have a great selection of cocktails and at night, especially on weekends, the restaurant can get quite packed and feel very much like a night club or lounge (I think there's actually a lounge right next to the restaurant on top of the same building) so if you're not looking for that kind of "ambiance" you might want to pick somewhere else. During the day it's a little more calm. I've been here around 4 times now and overall it's not a bad experience, the view is the main selling point here in my opinion and as others have mentioned the ride up is pretty nice, definitely one of the nicest elevator experiences I've ever had haha. The food, while it is decent- is nothing to write home about, and that on top of the minimum $100 per person is the reason I'm not rating it higher. Unless you're drinking, it can be pretty hard to meet the price quota especially if you're a petite girl like me and obviously the more people you bring, the more expensive it becomes…. The view (and ambiance, when I'm in the mood for it) is the only reason I'll keep coming back.

Awful service and you can’t argue against a set service charge of over 18% which you can’t decline even if you don’t feel is warranted I I spoke to management and they were not accommodating to not consider any other option but to forcibly pay the service charge or be charged as refusing to pay the bill Terrible

Sugar was hyped to be a trendy spot to visit while seeing Miami. My husband (a physician), our friend (a registered nurse) and I (a pharmacist) attempted to go to Sugar on a very warm, Saturday afternoon. However, we were stopped at the entrance by a staff member who promptly told us that we weren't welcome to enter because of our footwear (we were wearing sandals). Being posh may be trendy, but if you have a mandatory dress code required, you should CLEARLY post it at your entrance or say something more than "Smart-casual attire encouraged during the day"... It leaves the requirement open to interpretation. We would also like to note that the couple (man & woman) that went in ahead of us, were permitted entrance even though the woman had sandals on. It made us wonder if this was a case of sexism / gender-bias. We left feeling extremely disappointed and regretted wasting our time locating this over hyped location.

The restaurant has a nice vibe, but the staff service is terrible, so so so long to show up. They need more and better staff. The music is good and the food as well.

It works like a pub, on the 40th floor of a beautiful hotel. Cool atmosphere, wonderful drinks. As it is high and open, it is very windy, so I suggest dressing warmly. Be aware that there is minimal consumption.

Excellent food….. Fabulous cocktails Amazing location…. Beautiful settings However…. Service unfriendly and even rude. Hosts and hostesses didn’t bother…. 18% service charges was included and on the invoice. We asked for the manager for an explanation for these 18% whilst the service was dramatic. The manager refused to speak with us…. Bloody shame…🤬

It’s was very bad experience, I’m very disappointed in this place. Very rude employees and disrespectful lady-manager. When you reserve the table they force you to spend min 100$ per person and then They insure that they having money anyway, they treat you disrespectfully.

There is a minimum of $100/person for tables. It is completely worth the cost. The staff was nice enough to get us a table against the outside rail on a Friday night giving us a view of the garden restaurant and the streets below. We tried a mixed menu including some great specialty cocktails including Peach Face and Tropic Thunder. We dined small plate style ordering the bang bang shrimp, crispy octopus, Korean short rib, sugar roll, crunch salmon roll and three chill roll. We loved all the food. The sushi rolls were exceptional and really made our night. Thank you to our server Jessica for helping us get the right table and for recommending our entire order. We look forward to returning in the future.

Cool crowd- many internationals- I heard so many different languages. I loved the cozy landscaping, and it has amazing views of the city. It was windy and my hair smelled like sea spray by the end of the night.

Sugar is a very cool and trendy place with amazing view, delicious food, yummy drinks ("Lychee blossom" and "Peony" were our favorite) and very friendly staff --especially Ayana who was very sweet and welcoming and made our visit very special and unique. We definatelly will be back next time we are in Miami!

Thank you Nestor for your excellent service! His recommendations, the food, and the view were amazing!

It's very Asian, very Bangkok with great views, fantastic music (a dj), loud but you can still sit and chat in one of the little nooks among all the little trees and shrubs. The drinks are amazing and expensive, the plates of food very small but tasty. We come here a lot, a couple of times a week at least. It's stylish and filled with cool people of all ages but primarily 20s/20s. The elevator has infinity lights which is a cool experience in itself.

This rooftop bar is expensive, there is a cover charge, but the ambience is fantastic. The views from the roof are second to none, it does get crowded and noisy, which is why I always wear earplugs, and the cocktails do taste delicious. I recommend this for anyone wanting a luxury bar experience with a view.

40 storeys up in lush gardens this is an exceptional bar with outstanding views and excellent service. The food was very well presented and delicious. The only problem was that there was no shelter from the rain which meant retreating to the 5th floor bar which was quieter and more relaxed.

Expensive, but worth the experiences. The food and drinks were some of the best that we had while in Miami. The views while you are 40 floors above the hotel are amazing. There is a $100 minimum for each person in the party, which should cover some food and coulpe drink. As long as you are aware of the minimum and that you need to make reservations then I would recommend going to here

Nice view (if you get a table close to the balcony), better for people below 35 who wants a bar with nice view while standing up, if you want to sit on a table they make you sign a paper where you agree to spend at least USD100 per person (no matter what you consume, if you spend less they will charge USD 100). Also they kept my credit card till we left (?). Look for the weather if it's cold they can supply blankets (however they will keep your Id till you return the blankets, this additional to the fact they were keeping my credit card). Food is nice (light dishes). If you want a dinner with a table and quieter environment go to Quinto La huella (some floors below, same elevator).

Went to Sugar and had a great time all thanks to Claudio! Amazing drinks and great personality! The manager Sebastian has an amazing team! Can’t wait to return to Sugar!

Best view in Miami!!! My bartender George was amazing!!! He took care of us and make grate recommendation the atmosphere was fantastic amazing food and fantastic drinks... I’ll come back for sure

Loved it here! The view is amazing! The bar tenders are lovely and really friendly! Best cocktails EVER!

Going there occasionally with friends. Amazing coctails with super friendly bartenders Strongly recommend this place if you are looking for complete bar experience

Last week my boy-friend and me, We have been to Sugar to drink a cocktail while thinking to enjoy a nice view . Unfortunately it was packed and no tables available and the bartender was so busy that charged two margaritas 56 dollars and they were the worst cocktail ever. It was sunday night around midnight a lot of reserved tables with nobody seating there and just waiting to be clean by not existing waiters around The room . A non welcome place which is for us overrated for nothing . For sure not to do again . We later discovered that service charge was already includendo in the check . Not always appreciated .

This bar is more than just a rooftop with a great view. Great bartenders like Christopher not only make great drinks but made it his business to remember both my drink and my name. Excellent service cannot say enough about the experience.

Nice roof top bar area and a great view of the city! Especially at night. It had music and drinks, but does get a little tight so you have to get there before it's a crowd. Definitely worth a visit and great place to go out if you're in Miami!

There seems to be some consistency in reviews of how incredibly rude the staff are and I couldn’t agree more. There are so many better places to visit in Miami with amazing food, ambience and great service.

Place is just magical,Great atmosphere with best Mixologist in Miami.Danilo did outstanding job,Was really helpful and make our experience impeccable. Looking forward for our next visit.

A tropical themed roof terrace with stunning views of Miami await you when you arrive on the top of this cool hotel. the ambience and clientele is very cool and chic. The cocktails are very good with plenty to choose from. I went on a Friday evening which was very busy which added to the great party atmosphere. The sushi was good and even though it was busy did not take too long to arrive. Overall a great place to have fun and enjoy drinks with freinds.

Very nice rooftop bar and lounge in Brickell. Amazing views of the Miami Skyline . The only downside, and that is based on my personal taste, is the music. After some drinks and bites, I felt like the kind of music was no good for dancing, just chilling and chatting.

My wife and I had high expectations for our Mother's Day celebration at this restaurant (SUGAR) due to its good reputation and appetizing menu. However, our dinner experience was a major letdown. We had reserved a hotel room for two nights in the same building. Our restaurant reservation was from 9 pm to 11 pm. We arrived on time and were checked in by three hostesses. One of them then escorted us to our table, which had a great view of Miami's skyline at night. However, just two minutes later, our receptionist informed us that we had to move from our outside table with a view to the bar. We politely asked for the reason behind this unexpected change and were told that someone had been waiting for our table for an hour and a half. We were then informed that we would be seated at the adjacent table once it was available. We were not pleased with this situation and calmly expressed our desire to stay at our assigned table. However, the hostess insisted on the table change, so we decided to leave the restaurant rather than deal with any discrimination, RACISM or policy issues that we were unaware of. After checking out at the Hotel front desk, the HOTEL manager approached us and tried to make amends by offering us various perks, but we declined politely. It is crucial to remember that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or personal characteristics. If we believe that we have been discriminated against, we should speak up. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing and tainted our Mother's Day celebration. We would not recommend it to anyone.

Danilo Dacha is the most incredible bartender in the world. Extremely friendly, excellent Customer Service and overall amazing person. He made the drinks I've ever tried, and always with a smile. He always went the extra mile. 11/10 service. Incredible! Would come again. Sugar is Miami's top 3 must see and experience while in Miami. Thanks Danilo, thanks Sugar and thanks Miami I had great time with you all!!!

It was November on a light rainy day , we were 6 of us and we waited even with the reservation for 20 min to get seated ! Anyway the Hostess was very kind and introduced us to the Rooftop where the bar was one of the most amazing ever seen !! The bartenders weren't too smiley and we're also a little busy to greet !! We had a seat and after the order we got the cocktails and weren't that alcoholic , tequila was not so present as ina. Signature cocktail ! Very nice overall the waiter was quite professional! Hope to see you soon AB

This is truly a wonderful Rooftop situated in the Brickell area. The views of Miami skyscrapers are fantastic the food and drinks are amazing. The ambience was just perfect and all the staff I encountered were wonderful. Most certainly one of my favourite bars in the world.

My server Karina was the best I would go back just for her. She was a breath of fresh air, so kind and so attentive she took such good care of us!!! Thank you karina

The most disgusting excuse for an establishment I have ever seen. In utter shock at the lack of organization and respect for their customers. I will never step foot in this place again or recommend anyone I know to go here. After standing on line for 15 minutes I was given attitude by the hostess for trying to get a table with my friends. Not to mention there is a 100$ minimum per person for the table. As my and party and I were checking out, the hostess yelled at us that our two friends that we bumped into there (who were not even part of the table) had to pay 100$ each for standing by the table. She continued to curse us out and try to force us to sign the additional check multiple times before ripping up the check in our face. The waiter had come by with waters for the table and spilled the water all over my boyfriend and the hostess laughed and said “karma is a bitch”. No way to speak to customers no matter what the issue is, especially at such a fancy “high class” restaurant. I demanded to speak to the manager after the despicable service I received but even then the manager refused to speak with us and insisted we sign the check and leave. She did not even try to hear what he had to say or try to apologize once for the way her hostess acted. Unbelievable. Do not spend your time or money here! If I could leave this place 0 stars I would over and over again.

A nice rooftop bar at the 40th floor offering great views of the city. To get the best views you will need to book a table. If you are a man wearing sandals you will be refused entry and recommended to by a pair of proper footwear (anything else but sandals) in the sopping arcade on the 2nd floor. If you are a lady you will be welcomed in whatever attire.

Sugar! A must for the Miami visitor who likes to have a little style. No flip-flops, no baggy T-shirts or other fashion crimes are to be seen, but cool people, good music and excellent drinks at one of the coolest rooftop bars in the world. And when it rains, which is not uncommon in Miami, you can escape to the inside, where the atmosphere is also great. Sugar is very well run by the management. The guests can read all their wishes from their eyes and if possible they are fulfilled.

Drinks were very good and views are spectacular. Found the last two seats at the bar on a Sunday evening. If you want a table it is a minimum of $75pp, a bit extreme for Sunday. It was also difficult to find the place and we walked through the mall first and stumbled upon the resident elevators and had to call a few times before someone answered to tell us how to get there. The elevator up is super trippy though.

Best rooftop bar in Miami! Great cocktails, food (try their bang bang shrimp), service and views! Professional and very attentive staff. Try their craft cocktails, you won’t be disappointed.

sugar is by far the best rooftop in miami i went for my friend birthday and was amazing service, food and the view you cant ask for a better one hands down best bar in miami

Great sunset spot for the beautiful, hip & non price conscious. The bar is in the center of the space & with the fantastic planting reminds me of a poolside bar in the Seychelles. I had the obligatory Mojito (ok) and my friend a vodka & soda. This is a bar to be seen & people watch - it’s fun. Drink well & be seen - come here

i have live in Miami for years and i think this is one of the best restaurants i love taking my friends. Their menu might be on the high side but they really taste nice.

Sugar is a fantactic place. There, you can have fun with your friend, have a good drink and the best view of the city.

hateful and mean staff, who take a crazy time to serve. People are dressed disreputably and people in shorts are fired as soon as the sun sets. No respect, to flee for supposedly a luxury hotel that is actually a cheesy disco.

Not for everyone, it's a chick place with great views. Bartender was great at making unique drinks not in the menu, also Sebastian the manager was very hospital

Good drinks and a great view but their seats were wet!!! Drinks and the service were good! The elevator was cool

Love this place, whenever I am in Brickell, this is a must. Amazing views and drink selection. Friendly staff.... one or two of them could smile and be more welcoming but hey, we all have a bad day sometimes. Would recommend

Kathy was absolutely excellent. She engaged with us in wonderful conversation, provided exquisite recommendations, and made us feel truly at home. The view is impeccable and the food is savory and indulgent. Let’s not forget the vast selection of craft cocktails. Usually when I go to a tapas restaurant, I leave a bit unsatisfied, but the delectable food and the price point is absolutely worth your while. Thank you Kathy for giving us an amazing experience!

The place makes you feel like you're absolutely being ripped off. Forcing you to spend $100 per person, charging you $30 for cancelling your reservation, making you wait a long time for your table and overall just treating you terribly. The food is decent, but forcing your customers to spend absurd amounts of money and then add a 20% mandatory service charge is insane and makes you leave with a terrible taste in your mouth. (I had to purchase a wine bottle to take home just to get to the minimum after having many drinks and dishes). Am never going back here and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

This is a great place to grab a drink. The service was amazing. They quickly sat us by the edge so we could see the water. Excellent vibe for probably one of the coolest rooftop bars I have been to.

The place is really nice. Service at tje bar so so. Do not trust the menu since the process differ and tip eventhoug it says 18% for less than 6 ppl, they charge 20%.

My friends and I visited this place few days ago. I can highly recommend Sugar to anyone visiting Miami! Drinks are reasonably priced and the view is absolutely stunning.. worth every penny!

The wait downstairs wasn't too bad, the elevator has broken glass all over the floor as well as quite a bit of liquid creating a hazardous surface for guests. The elevator attendant didn't seem to care after he was told. The rooftop bar itself was incredibly crowded, took 15 mins to get a drink order in, and another 15 mins to cash out. If you enjoy breathing room only type crowds, this place is for you.

We made a reservation for 5pm, they treat us very courteous, our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, we took his recommendations, everything f was excellent. The deserts were great.

One of the best views in Brickell. Music was very good was a vibe. Food was ok but Drinks were ridiculously overpriced though.
HORRIBLE
Terrible food, terrible service, disrespectful to my wife. Won’t be getting my business ever again ..
