Went for brunch- definitely try the cuban sandwich! The mimosas were also properly made (aka heavy on the champ!)

The restaurant was empty on a Wednesday at 1pm, but 3 patio tables were occupied. I think there was a private party receiving table service across the courtyard, but I"m not positive about that. I simply could not understand why the service was so incredibly slow. We may have waited 30 minutes for our food. Most of it was nice, but a few items differed greatly from the menu description as well as the description provided by our server. The beets were lovely, and, happily, not pureed as stated on the menu. I enjoyed the eggplant toast, although a bit too oily. The posole sounded simple and brothy but is a very hearty dish with many different vegetables, which some may like. Not a soup. Our birthday girl only ate a few bites. The crispy chicken sandwich, slaw, and smashburger were fine. Servers were friendly and helpful, anyway. Restaurant decor is lovely.

Brunch ( 2 pm) on a Weekend. The wait was less than 10 min. Seated at part of a long table on stools with no backs. Parked in a parking garage nearby. The drink glasses for water or iced tea were small. The avocado salad which also had grapefruit was excellent. The ricotta Pancakes with blueberries was also excellent. The Pozole was a large serving and very good. The Smash Burger was surprisingly very plain. It came dry with only onion, tomato, and pickle. No lettuce. Some fancy Mayo on the side ( olive oil I think ) I had to request mustard and catsup. The beef had an unusual flavor. Not sure if that was a different type of beef or some seasoning. It was not bad, but not good either. If I had to guess it was grass fed. The fries were very good. Lunch for 3 people without tip was $78. On weekends the Brunch Menu is in effect for much of the day. On week days there is a Breakfast menu that switches to Lunch Menu at a specific time.

Wow! Not really sure what we felt like but knew it was dessert …. In walks our bartender Dane, how about a Key Lime Pie? which coincidentally is what we had been talking about … then she proceeded to work her magic, and create the perfect cocktail which perfectly imitated ‘The Key Line Pie’ which also included the biscuit crumb rim. Thx Dane so fun chatting and watching you work your mixologist expertise! From the kiwi chicks

This place is amazing itself with the food and ambiance, but the people are what truly stands out. The staff was so welcoming - we stopped in one afternoon for a cocktail and ended up coming back for dinner and more cocktails. Truly the friendliest people we met while in Texas - the bartenders gave us lots of recommendations and felt like friends by the time we left. Scallops were wonderful and don’t miss the special margarita!

It was all good - but that onion dip! The pea guac! Staff was kind and attentive - good margaritas and plenty of Topo Chico!

Summer on music lane is located at the Hotel Magdalena Austin, it’s very close to Congress. It’s. A very nice, casual restaurant, it serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast is always good, they have some sharables you must try. They make their own pop tarts and the hash browns are a must. They have indoor and outdoor seating and dogs are welcome. They also have a dog menu and will bring you a bowl of water. It has great atmosphere. There is also a full bar and also serves specialty coffees, get the salted caramel latte it was the best.Cheers out to all the hard workers . A very special cheers out to Jeremy, he goes beyond making you feel welcomed, he’s a very hard worker with a great personality, it’s always special to recognize people like that, good job Jeremy.

The food at the summer house on music lane was great, the menu well thought out, presentation and portion sizes very well done. However, the service was lacking. As someone who also works in a service industry I understand that it can be very difficult and exhausting. But that is still no excuse to throw a bill in someone’s face. Also, if you serve turned wine (wine so badly turned its vinegar) it can be overlooked but in the service industry it is never the customers fault (if your wine is vinegar you have more problems then I can go into here). Not to mention that you didn’t have the correct glasses to serve martinis in. Which may have been more overlooked had it not taken over 20 minutes to get. On top of this no one appreciates a “manager” speaking down to you. Very very unprofessional behavior at this restaurant. Unfortunate as I think back of house is going to end up suffering for front of houses poor performance and training.

Nice location, but be aware, there is no complementary parking and only very expensive parking option close by. The food was boring, the mains come with exactly the same sides - some uninspired greens. Not worth the price. The service was friendly at the beginning, but then we got forgotten. After 15 minutes, we asked for the check. We were then asked to have a look at the desert menu. That was too late. No recommendation.

On a prometory in the high end Music Lane, Summer House has excellent meals all day. Quality high, prices fair. High end food quality. Eat outside, it is handsome and relaxing.

Lovely, quiet, tucked away restaurant off of SoCo. We sat outside because it was so beautiful, even though it was a warmish Sunday morning. Service was great and food was delicious. Next time I'm in Austin, I'm going again!

My husband and I had a delightful breakfast there yesterday before leaving town. We highly recommend this restaurant and their food.

I was very impressed with the exceptional service at the Summer House. Tucked away behind the main drag, it was a pleasant and calm dining experience. Check the menu before you go. Everyone enjoyed their selections, but the menu was much more limited than expected.
