Clean and pleasant environment, we were pleasantly greeted and seated in a comfy corner table with pillows and bench. The service was fast, friendly and the suggestions our servers made were spot on. The food was plentiful and delicious. Try the fried cauliflower-amazing and gluten free.

It looks like a cafe from outside, thats why we turned back from the door even if we had reservation. Somehow we could not find any other restaurant to have dinner and turned back to sunnin. it has very delicious food. we loved it.

The lamb kebab was tender and tasty. The mezze platter was excellent with a varied selection of vegetarian selections and meat ones for the carnivores in the party. The portions were certainly adequate. There were many Middle Eastern diners in the room, which may attest to the authenticity of the preparation. I spoke with many locals were in line for take away food and they told me that they go at least once a week. I would certainly return.

Folks be very careful about what you order/eat at this “restaurant”! I got seriously sick, (not a first) right after eating here, which was promptly reported to the LADPH/Morbidity Department to document and thoroughly investigate. Particularly, watch what kinds of foods/wines/beers you order/eat, that are described/labelled as “imported”! We believe the latter are not adequately and routinely inspected for safety/contamination/toxicity, coming from abroad, by the Customs/FDA! Moreover, one of the their unprofessional servers shockingly yelled at me - like a savage - while starting to eat my food, at my table, which made me feel undoubtedly threatened and harassed, and prompted me to immediately leave their unsafe premises without finish eating my fully paid-for food! The aforementioned was reported via their website, however, they don’t care — totally irresponsible/unprofessional ownership! Similar incidents had happened to other patrons before as you can clearly read in other negative reviews herein! We wouldn’t recommend ordering their food via DoorDash/Grubhub either — the food often arrives cold, spoiled, and, even worse, they cheat portion-wise! We reported them to those food-delivery apps numerous, but it’s seems they all collude/conspire to defraud the consumer! More importantly, their served meat is NOT Halal as we were told by ownership — confirm the latter online, via local food delivery apps! This is VERY unacceptable and won’t ever be tolerated, especially, for Muslims going to eat/break their fast during Ramadan — how shameful and disgusting! We’re in the process of dealing with it, legally, the professional way to expose their rampant scam/heinous crimes! Lastly, I urge people who are Muslim, North-African, Jews, disabled, and other minorities to avoid this business establishment, for we believe its management/ownership systematically and underhandedly discriminates again such ethnic/racial/religious backgrounds. Moreover, check/read how they’ve been treating their employees on Glassdoor. We’re going to file a formal complaint with the DFEH and the DOJ to investigate such heinous/illegal business practices therein! N.B: We sincerely hope Google/Yelp won’t delete this critical review — warning the public — simply because this business ownership had asked/influence/paid it to do so!

This cafe has great Mediterranean food, tastes like it is made fresh. The decor is arty fun with lots of different chandeliers on the ceiling, dark wood, open plan. They gave me a special Ashta dessert that was a custard that taste like roses for my birthday.

Service was fast, the setting is pleasant enough (nothing special though) and the food was acceptable. Maybe if I had sampled several dishes I might have reached a different conclusion. On our next trip to LA, would we go back? Probably not --- there are so many places to choose from and while Sunnin is OK, it's nothing special.

Great, casual place with delicious food perfect for sharing. Every dish we tried was delicious. Don’t miss the pickled turnip!!

Chicken kebab is always good. Comes with a yummy salad and I just sub in double salad instead of the rice/noodle.

Located in Westwood, tight parking but decent, cozy little place, very hospitable, food is fresh and home made, a typical lebanes way, not the modified American version which I loved. We ordered the Hummas with meat and pine nuts - Amazing, the tabouli was very fresh and amazing, we ordered the kibbie Niya (raw kibbie) very nice and fresh, we also ordered the kibbie lebaniyah (kibbie made in yogurt mint sauce) served with rice AMAZING, and finally we ordered the eshta desert, everything was lovely and nice and I loved this experiance thank you for making such yummy food xxx

Came here with my business associate. We're in the mood for Middle Eastern food. I've been coming to this restaurant through the years. The food is quite good, excellent portions and in my opinion one of the best falafel you'll get into la. The services Fair the waitress was not very a tentative but the food makes up for that.

WE have been to Sunnin a few times and love all the dishes we get. Always superb! We ordered Stuffed Zucchini, rolled grape leaves, rice and yogurt soup, kefta meatballs, lebne, okra and rice and 2 other dishes. My favorite Lebanese Cafe by far!!

I am Lebanese, and I am always looking for good Lebanese food... BINGO... This is it. I liked everything. I recommend it. Prices are fair, quality is great.

I have tried many Lebanese restaurants in my life and I can surely tell what is authentic and what is not, and this is not. It has a big menu that includes many Lebanese dishes, I had taboule, hummos, and beef kofta with rice. The taste of the kofta beef was good and the hummod as well, but both not the regular lebanese taste. Their rice is not edible, and that taboule was not something I want to try again.

terrific Lebanese food, especially the kibbe, which is almost impossible to find in other L.A. restaurants. Friendly staff, all the favorite Middle Eastern courses, perfect for sharing around the table, child and family friendly, very reasonably priced.

It was just ok, in my opinion. Nothing outstanding. Portions are quite generous. The falafel and hummus appetizer was tasty. My husband was looking forward to something with eggplant, but they were "all out". However, the table next to us ordered an eggplant dish and my son noticed a grill full of eggplant on his was to the restroom. So, that was a little disappointing. Overall an average Lebanese meal.

Due to Covid, we ordered our meal to go. The 4 Pieces Kebbeh Makliyeh is the best Kebbah I have ever tasted. I am very fussy about meat and spices, but this kebbah is so delicious. The falafel wrap was good, but not the best. The staff were very friendly, and they prepared our meal in a timely manner.

Always good food at reasonable prices. Chicken kabob plate is the family favorite. I also love the curry special.

Guided to this place by a well-informed local and it was spectacular. Tried and enjoyed lentil soup, falafels with babagenouz, warak enab (=dolma), rekakat (filo dough with feta), fool (FACS beans with garlic), kouris (stuffed squash - see picture), and probably a few other things. Had a bottle of a very nice Bekaa valley wine. Finished with baklava that was actually light and delightful and a nice Turkish coffee. Service was super friendly, helpful, and efficient. Loved this place!

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal in my experience at Sunnin. Very friendly atmosphere, felt as if I was eating at a Lebanese friends house. Delicious tabouleh and hummus. I enjoyed my beef kebabs and my husband his chicken. We don't live locally but if we did we would come here often!

To close your stay in Los Angeles Friends Brazilians chose this very good Lebanese by the way. Full portion that choosing well a dish can be divided by two. Good Lebanese beer. Normal price to Los Angeles

Super food and wonderful service. Ordered a range of mezze and they were all simply amazing - freshly cooked and great flavours. Waiter was very attentive and very accommodating. Great meal.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. My husband took me here early in our relationship and I was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant always has a welcoming atmosphere. Tania was our server for the last two times (this week) and she is amazing. She offered great recommendations and took the time to make us feel special.

We had a great experience at Sunnin! We both ordered of the specials menu, and it was delicious. We met som great locals and the service was good.

Great beef souvlaki and lamb kebabs. The moussaka was also terrific. Did not try the chicken but looked good going by. The turkish coffee is not for the faint of heart

The food is amazing, it's a very lebanese restaurant cafe. My best lebanese friend reccomended me this restaurant. Yeah they cook very lebanese dishes. Thanks

Had lunch today at Sunnin and really enjoyed it. Had the Mezza plate and all of the flavours were outstanding. Can't wait to return and try some more dishes.

We stopped there unexpectedly, and boy, am I glad we did. The owners were super accommodating when we asked to eat outside. The food was all delicious. I’ve never thought that falafel were light before, but these were the best I’ve ever had. A real treat and I will be back.

Everything is delicious!!! I ordered catering for my daughter's high school graduation celebration...the menu and service did not disappoint. George made the process easy and helped put together the perfect menu. The food arrived hot and ready to serve.... Thank you!

Wow, I'm so glad I found this place! Went for a walk with a friend and stumbled upon this place. It was a weeknight and it was packed so we it looked like it would be really good so we decided to give it a try. There was one table for 2 left so we got seated right away. My friend ordered a wrap sandwich which was so flavorful and delicious! I ordered a plate but I can't remember what meat I got. But either way, all I remember is it was amazing and I devoured every ounce of it! I can't to come back here!

Every dish we've eaten here is excellent. It's a fun casual place with good service. The waitstaff is knowledgable about the food and helpful in suggesting dishes.

They serve breakfast Lebanese style..all day. They chik the bread right in front of you. Very fresh and tasty. Go with a big appetite. Don't forget to try their Arabic coffee.

I've been to this restaurant several times now and always have a great meal. The food is fresh and the service is excellent. This is a small, homey restaurant with the basics to serve excellent food.

For the second year in a row on a visit to LA, ate here with friends, one of whom is Lebanese. The food is good, the portions are large and reasonably-priced. Our Lebanese friend says the dishes are authentic and done well - they were certainly tasty. Service was friendly and not rushed. Only complaint is that parking is difficult - limited number of parking spaces in their small shared parking lot and street parking is difficult to find and metered only. Recommend if you are looking for a nice Lebanese restaurant in the Westwood/Westside area.

Smoky and rich, their baba ganoush has remained one of my top favorite dishes in LA for over 10 years, starting when they were a small countertop outfit to their newer, but still unpretentious cafe across the street. We have used Sunnin to cater many events and still get excited when we are in the neighborhood and make it there despite any traffic. Their vegetarian Mezza combo plate is big enough for 2 and is fantastic. But order extra baba ganoush to bring home!

Love this place! I always order the chicken kabobs with the lebanese salad. It's so yummy, I just can't resist. My husband likes the Mousakaa, the wrapped grapeleaves, and the Ma-Anek (Lebanese sausages glazed with lemon juice). The prices are very reasonable, and the ambience is pleasant. Excellent service.

Absolutely loved this place! The food was so full of flavor, portions were large and the service was top notch. Looking forward to our next visit!

If you are into Lebanese food - this is the place to go. The range of choices is excellent for both meat eaters and non-meat eaters. The salad dressing was sublime. Service was fast I n spite of the place being extremely busy. The waiter was helpful and the prices are quite reasonable. Only two drawbacks: (1) the parking lot was full and ha to hunt for a parking space on Westwood Blvd (not an easy thing to do); and (2) the tables could be cleaned more often, I'll come back by bus (station is close by) and I'll bring my own wipes.

Wow! This place is a gem! Service is very fast, and food is amazing. The hummus and falafel is just fantastic. Not had Lebanese food like this in a long time. Highly recommended! If you are looking for a place with superb ambiance then this is not it, but for superb food and great service then definitely go here. :-)

I like the place, I love the kibbie nie, it's my favorite. The rolled grape leaves, are a big disappointment, but everything else is wonderful. I purchased the combination plater.

This is one of my favorite lunch spots. The food is always fresh and delicious. My favorite is the chicken shawarma sandwich but everything else is good as well. They make a fabulous lamb stew which looks like your grandmother made it. I keep wanting to try it but then I keep eating my favorite chicken sandwich! Casual fun place, put it on your list.

My wife, son, niece, and I had dinner here. For several of us it was our first time eating Lebanese food. We were not disappointed. They were able to seat us right away (even though the place was very full). Our waitress was attentive and helpful. We started with the fried cauliflower, which was crisp, fresh, and tasty with the sauce. We all ordered different food and everyone felt their meal was well prepared and flavorful. Since this was our first Lebanese restaurant we cannot compare it to others. Based on this experience we will definitely try others.

There was confusion in our party as to the extent of the hostess' role. She took a drink order that never arrived. In the end, we were never told the names of the hostess or server. When a woman in our party asked for more tea, the server asked her if she wanted to re-use the tea bag (disgusting). Two "Hot Teas" were $6.50 (2 @3.25). Three of us asked for "Baklawa"; two were delivered. One serving is about the size of a quarter and dry ($1.75 each). There were five small pieces of meat in my $13.95 "Lamb Kebab." Nobody's water was ever refilled. We discussed this before tipping $0.00. The calculated "suggested tips" of 18% and 20% are printed on the receipt - probably due to the awful service providers complaining of poor tips.

The food here is the bomb! Service is top notch, quick and kind. Go here if you love authentic Lebanese

Always a must when visiting Los Angeles. Favorite is the chicken kebab but always surrounded by the hummus, falafel, and spicy potatoes. Dinner comes with a great salad and rice pilaf. Have never made it to the deserts but always leave full and thoroughly satisfied. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced.

We enjoyed our dinner at Sunnin so much, sharing cheese rolls (Rekakat), chicken schawarma, and meatballs in yogurt sauce, with a glass of wine each and some of the best baklava I have ever had to polish off the meal. The service was friendly and pleasant and if we're ever in the neighborhood again, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Authentic Lebanese food in a vibrant atmosphere. We ordered the combo Mezza appetizer and it was plenty for the four of us. Excellent cucumbers in yogurt sauce, hummus, tabouleh, babbaganoush, and falafels. Main courses were likewise excellent. The staff is very friendly. Casual atmosphere.

The fried cauliflower, babaganoush and shish tawook plate (with magically delicious garlic sauce) are all must haves! This isn't the most comfortable restaurant to sit in for an extended period, and the parking lot can be tough. Great for take out/delivery.

Sunnin is actually a Lebanese RESTAURANT, not just a fast food take-away, so you can expect to see a lot more depth than you usually encounter. There are soups, salads, and all kinds of unfamiliar main dishes which are worth trying. I have been here multiple times and have never been disappointed.

The food is delicious, the service phenomenal and the room very pleasant. Sunnin is so good for a fantastic, reasonably priced meal that we, in fact, have been back another time before I got a change to write this. We have tried a number of things and there's not a single one I wouldn't order again. Our phenomenal waitress, Marianne, remembered us from our first visit (including names) and was a huge help in guiding us and recommending things to try (I dreamt about the dessert - Ashia) - including both the Lebanese beer and wine.

Not a bad spot but not great. Probably 3.5 stars in reality. Falafel is extremely dry. Overall the dishes are good. Service is quite atrocious.
Great Lebanese Cuisine!
I totally forgot about Sunnin since they moved across the street. We went with a Lebanese friend who was ecstatic to find home-cooking in WLA. It is a must to share here! We had the Mezza Combo which included hoomos, babaganouj (should have ordered another), taboleh, sanbousek (kinda mushy and oily), grape leaves, fatayer, kebbeh (not so good - I have had much better) and spicy potatoes (heavenly!), Ma-anek (sausages - just okay), stuffed cabbage (not my fave - rolled up like fat cigars but with no tomato sauce) and chicken kabob. I am not a fan of whatever dessert we ordered - too syrupy. I want to come back to order off the specialty items. Their descriptions are good and the wait-staff are UCLA students who are patient with the many questions we asked! The place is loud. Really loud and it is best to come early. Parking is a B-word. Really bad. We were too late to go across the street to the bakery. There is always next time at Sunnin! It is a bit loud
