We ate here prior to a Braves game. Our wait was about 45 minutes. The good news is that there is a El Felix food truck that you can visit for chips/salsa and drinks that you can consume outside while you wait...we did that. Once seated, our incredibly charming waitress, answered our questions and took our order right away. I have to give props to the staff in this restaurant...this is a busy place and no one was frazzled at all! Our food came quickly and was delicious! I highly recommend the Chicken Suiza Enchilada, it was amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant.

We decided on the El Felix for our dinner before a night game. We had done the ballpark tour and after the tour we put our name on the list. 2 hour wait for our group of 12...yes, that is long, but there is plenty to see and do in the Battery, plus we were waiting on others, that we didn't mind. After waiting the 2 hours, we were texted to let us know that our table was ready. We were greeted promptly by Ebony. She took our drink orders and we sat and enjoyed the chips and salsa. The green salsa was AMAZING. We all ordered different things, and truly none of it disappointed. We had steak nachos, chicken nachos, tacos, enchiladas, puffy tacos, and other things. Next time I visit, I want to try their fajitas as they looked really good. The food was flavored great, and tasted great. Once our food was delivered, I asked Ebony if she could go ahead and get our checks since we were going to the game. Checks came out while we were enjoying our food. For a party of 12 that was split between 4 checks, and nothing was incorrect. We got our bill paid, and Ebony came back one more time with 4 popsicles for the kids, because their meals included them. Thank you Ebony for the great service. We will definitely be coming back to The El Felix.

Came here before a game, they open at 5 on weeknights - even as we came in, we were out on a wait. Before they even opened. Their seating system requires you to give them your last name and cell number. The door staff are HIGHLY distractible and not very motivated to move people through and often break off into conversation with other workers. Got paged about fifteen minutes after they opened, second hostess seemed to be in training, again, often distracted by others and had to give her my name three times before she finally got to looking me up. Menu is a little limited - they do try to add their own flare to the food and it is flavorful, but they are HEAVY with cilantro (in fact it ruined the queso for my liking and I even like cilantro). Wait staff were taking away drinks at a quarter full and asking to take our plates at the same mark - was hard to feel like a welcomed guest. Luckily for them, they’re in a good location and they probably won’t suffer for the sub-par service. I wouldn’t kill myself to go back.

Great place to go prior to heading out to the ball game. Located just outside the stadium. Very busy but short wait. Service was great. Refilled drinks often and checked on us several times. The soft tacos were delicious. The were a little bit gringo since it was ground beef versus shredded but the flavor was on target. Food was served nice and hot and arrived very quickly after we ordered. It was a bit loud but expected since there was a bar, the place was packed and people were getting ready for the game. Definitely would recommend to family and friend if they were in the area.

Wonderful surprise to find out owned by same company as superica — very good food and drinks and family friendly

My family and I dined here for the first time yesterday and as soon as we entered we were greeted warmly by all the front of house staff and were seated immediately. The restaurant decor and ambiance is really nice and our server Casper. A ,was so friendly and helpful in helping us with menu options, he even went out of his way to get my husband a sample of a sauce to try of a dish he was interested in. My daughter kept herself busy with the crayons and coloring sheet the front of house staff gave her. My husband and I ordered the Chicken Tacos AL Carbon with seasoned rice and it was very tasty, and my husband had Mexican beers which he said were nice.

For food and margaritas. This is my second trip to the restaurant and may I begin by stating that the food is fantastic. My problem on this trip revolved around the staff. First, upon entrance, we were excited to see the college game we wanted to see on the screen. Before we get our drinks the bartender up and changes the game to another game. I know another customer was upset in addition to me as he got up for his table to question the change. When I said something to our waitress, she didnt say anything to thr bartender. Also she never refilled our waters or asked us if we wanted something else from the bar. So instead of taking care of us she was trying to turn the table. Im 2/3s finished with my food and she asks if she can box it up. Food = excellent. Service = unattentive/more interested in the next tip vs taking care of the current customer. Buy from the walk up and avoid the wait/bar staff. Ill wait for turnover before I return.

Arrived at 4:00 p.m. the scheduled opening time and went right in. Promptly seated and given water and chips. Cocktails delivered quick and right and not long after food arrived and thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended to have Tex mex food at the battery in Atlanta following a Braves game.

This place is amazing! The best service we have had in a long time! Our server Tiera was super sweet and extremely helpful when it came to the menu. I could tell she was very busy as it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and the Battery was pretty full. She didn't let that stop her ! Smiles all around! Both managers , Jasmine and Miles stopped by the table as well a few times. Coming from the service industry, it's always nice to see management involved! We saw them bussing tables , seating guests and even running food ! Ommmmmmmmg and the food ?!!!!! Best tex mex on this side of heaven!!!! We will be back ... like probably tomorrow... great teamwork guys ! -sincerely A major taco & people lover

Best fajitas ever! Have eaten here twice and the food and service are both stellar. Good and tasty selection of frozen and rocks margaritas. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Some fantastic gems not to be missed are the queso fundido (we loved the plain) with handmade flour tortillas, Campechana (think Mexican Shrimp and octopus cocktail), and the chicken and steak fajitas. The steak was phenomenal as was the chicken! Imagine super moist, flavorful grilled chicken - wow! You can also order items a la carte if you don't want two of the same enchilada or taco. Definitely one of our new favorite places! Its more expensive than our usual tex mex spot, but so worth it. Loved it!

As a former resident in Georgia I found the local Mexican food to be lacking the quality and selections in comparison to other locations further west. This experience was a pleasant surprise! The guacamole was among the best I’ve ever had. The selections and composition of the food was the best I’ve had in Georgia! Not only was the food excellent, the service was outstanding!

I have long been a fan of Ford Fry, the Atlanta chef who has created a restaurant empire with a wide variety of themed establishments. Recently I had my first experience at El Felix, his Tex-Mex creation. El Felix is apparently on a growth track but there are currently only two in Atlanta. My colleagues and I dined at The Battery location, near SunTrust Park. Although we ate early (630 PM) the restaurant was packed mostly with families. However, we were greeted warmly and promptly seated. It is a bit noisy as the restaurant has concrete floors and little sound absorption. In spite of that we had a lovely meal and managed to talk business over cold beer and dinner. We were not very creative in ordering as the five of us ordered 3 steak fajitas and 2 chicken fajitas. We had plenty of chips and salsa and the beers were cold. In spite of the full restaurant the service was delightful although we were not a high maintenance crowd. The fajitas were outstanding and there was plenty of food. Overall this was a very positive experience. El Felix is clearly family friendly and has a positive vibe. Looks like another winner from Ford Fry.

They have a full size bar on one side and plenty of seating on the other. Food was your typical Mexican but you can taste the quality. Not your local down the road cantina Mexican. Great location right by the stadium and not super expensive either.

We stopped in before a Braves game to grab dinner. The. Blood orange margarita was tasty but not very big. The chips with two dips were good. One dip was not spicy while the other was a medium spice flavor. We had the guacamole but it was a simple mix with no tomatoes so it wasn’t quit our flavor. The steak and chicken fajitas were great and easily large enough to share. It’s location in the Battery is great for a pregame meal and drink.

This restaraunt was all you could ask for and then some! Yummy Mexican meals-the tacos alone are woth the trip and the mole is out of this world! Margaritas with just the right amount of kick! Would love to have this quality and variety on all of my trips!

This place has cool atmosphere, definitely a newer and more fresh way for Tex Mex. The lunch special is great value and so yummy. They also provide you with multiple types of salsa instead of the typical “table salsa” the avocado salsa is one of the bests I have ever had. I love the decor, the food, the service and the cocktails. If you are near the baseball stadium, you have to check this place out.

The guacamole was good, but the service was slow. Not terrible food, but not bad. I expected higher quality Mexican food.

This restaurant is cute inside, but beyond that it was hard to get an order correct. We had appetizers, salads & one order of three tacos with just steak & cheese. We waited & waited for the wrong order. Then we waited for the second wrong order. And after more waiting they were at least able to bring one taco to the table that was correct. So odd! There are better places to eat where they comprehend simple orders. This took a very long time. They took the order off of the bill because it was too difficult to make three steak tacos with cheese.

The food was absolutely amazing here and they had a very broad drink selection. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly even knowing very well about allergens and the options on their menu. Hope to get a chance to go again.

Very cool and fun place to go for drinks and/or dinner. Great staff (we had Danielle, she is amazing!) and the fajitas combination is one of the best dinners on the menu!

The atmosphere is great. Right in the heart of the Battery and parking was free. I order Pastor tacos at any Mexican restaurant that I try and these are by far the best I've ever had. I also enjoyed the two types of freshly made salsas provided. It was a little loud for a business lunch and prices are a little on the higher side, but the food was terrific. I will return and probably sooner than later.

This was a nice find in downtown Atlanta next to the Braves stadium. Great food and unusual dishes. The beef in the fajitas was excellent! I loved the smokey salsa and the avocado dip. Made from scratch margaritas are also a hit. It was quite busy on a Friday night. Parking is good in a structure right next to the restaurant. I would highly recommend.

I went on a Friday for lunch with a team from my work. This was not a game day, so the crowd was surprising to me. It was packed. We were seated quickly, given an excellent overview of the sauces, and drink orders were taken. We weren't rushed to order, instead we had a moment to really review the menu and get settled. Appetizers and entrees were ordered at the same time. It's a very casual atmosphere, but lively. Our food took a little bit of time, but 7 people and a busy time of day will do this. Our order had a bit of everything - tamales, enchiladas, tacos, fajitas. Every person greatly enjoyed their meal and all agreed that this would become a featured spot on our places to grab a meal.

We have enjoyed going to this restaurant since it first opened! The places used to be fabulous… more recently the food in the restaurants has declined… good but no longer great…. Sign of the times…. However the take out experience is horrible… orders constantly wrong, poor quality… so sad do not order via door dash… the people that work the take out area clear do not care about their jobs and neither does door dash. Will never order from them again!

New favorite Tex Mex restaurant in Atlanta. Love the the location in the Battery and the menu. Our food was excellent with some good drink choices as well. Sara T did a great job waiting on us. It was a little loud.

After having a bad experience at the Avalon location (the greasiest chips ever) and staying away for over a year, I decided to give this location a try. They do an excellent job during lunch rush. There was a short wait on a Thursday afternoon....a good sign as the Braves were out of town and no other events at the Battery. The hostess checked back in with us several times to give us a status update. I can't think of any other restaurant that does that. We only had to wait maybe 10 minutes and were seated. I ordered the steak taco carbon and chicken verde enchilada. Both came out hot and were good. The enchilada was better than the taco carbon as that was a little hard - needed a knife to cut it hard, but the steak was very tasty and cooked medium rare and not overdone like most places. The chips were good and not greasy at all (not sure what the issue was at Avalon). The service was excellent as they refilled drinks and chips right on point. The food runners knew exactly who ordered what (anyone else get annoyed when they come out and announce "who gets the tacos with extra guac?") It's just a very well run restaurant which is getting rarer these days!

Welcoming environment starting with the front desk as entered the restaurant. Food is outstanding and lunch menu portion more than enough to satisfy the appetite. Great place to dine and have conversations with coworkers. Great location in the heart of the Battery. Will definitely be back again to this wonderful establishment.

Gets crowded on game day, get there early. It’s worth the wait either way. Service is outstanding. Gets a little crowded at the tables by the bar. Make it’s hard on servers to get through and awkward to have people standing by you while you are eating. Food is amazing! We have been twice now and both times we were not disappointed. They do it right! Kids meals are kid friendly ( not spicy) and no hot plates. Great location

Good quality food and service prices not unreasonable we all liked our food and would go back. When Braves not in town easy to get into without wait and parking is free.

I go to The Battery often and have passed this place many times. We decided to give it a try Saturday night. I like the atmosphere and the decorations. It was not busy, so we only waited a few minutes before being sat at a table. Our waitress was named Laronda and she made our first time here a bad experience. We saw her twice the entire time we were there. The service was bad enough that I doubt I will go back. We all wanted to order more but decided to leave. The food was delicious on a positive note. The two salsa's they have tasted awesome! If you give this place a try I would ask for anyone but who we had.

Great place to visit, had a very fun atmosphere. The drinks were great and strong. They also had some really good Enchiladas that were spicy and tasty. The wait staff was very friendly.

Had a family group of 13 on a Saturday night. They did a decent job of managing the service for this bunch although we probably could have used a second server as ours was handling other tables as well. The food was consistently good and drink excellent, even if a bit pricey. Would return. The overall ambiance of the Battery adds to the experience.

Although we have been to many Mexican restaurants in Atlanta over the last 54 years I believe El Felix is now the best Atlanta has to offer! It’s also without a doubt the best restaurant in The Battery! Andy and Christina have put together a wonderful team that understands terrific service is just as important as great food! The Steak Tacos are always my favorite and my grown up daughter and wife both think the Salad is one of the best in Atlanta! There are hundreds of choices for Mexican food in Atlanta but for a wonderful dining experience El Felix is tough to beat!

Second time eating and it was packed. We opted for the bar and the service couldn’t have been better. Everything was spot on and delicious as well as the drinks. Thanks again for the service.

Waited forever for our table on a Saturday night. Once we got in, however, the food was delicious.

Stopped in to order takeout at the bar. I took a seat at the bar and immediately felt welcomed. so I decided to eat in. The young lady bartender was very friendly and suggested menu items. The homemade salsa’s are uniquely tasty, especially the green salsa. Had shrimp taco and small salad. Portions are generous. Definitely return to this restaurant for the great service and yummy, delicious food.

Come on game days with you extremely busy. Staff is still pretty efficient. Two different salsas, one is guacamole based and the other is a little spicier. Steak quesadilla is pretty good and the hard chicken taco wasn’t bad. All beers are Mexican beers and served in a cold class. Kids meals come with popsicles. Loud fun environment. Good place.

I had lunch here when I first got to town. Tacos and margaritas were solid. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were great.

The Battery is obviously a great spot to hang out with friends. Lots of restaurants and cool sports bars. We came here on a weekend night and the place was packed. The food was pretty good, but for high end Mexican I didn't like it as much as Rosa Mexicana. Anyway, we may try it again some time and see if it was just a matter of ordering the wrong thing.

Tried this restaurant and were very happy that we did. The food was excellent not only tasty but very good quality. Drinks were good as well. Got the steak tacos but came with all the trimmings and was very filling and very good. Definitely worth a try. Service was good as well.

I wish I knew the name of our bartender. She was a middle aged woman and loved her job and was awesome. It was very bust as it was a game day. We were luck to score a seat at the bar. We helped wipe down the area because it is almost impossible for them to reach the area from behind the bar. She was so appreciative and gave us a free coozie. We tried a few different beers and had an appetizer. It was delicious! I will recommend this place to others. Thanks for the great food and drink

Went to dinner with a few people and sat at the bar. Staff was excellent and the food and recommendations were perfect. The battery is a great place with lots of choices and I will certainly come back here again.

We had a few hours in between our stadium tour and the night game so we decided to grab lunch at El Felix. We sat at one of the outside tables and our waiter Joey was fantastic. He was always there with a refill before we could request one and kept the chips coming. We ordered the guacamole to start. Very well prepared. For lunch, we ordered the tacos (pastor, carnitas, shrimp and fish), the hamburger, cheese enchiladas, and the vegetable verde enchiladas. We are not fans of corn tortillas and Joey informed us that we could request flour tortillas instead. The meals came out shortly and everything was delicious.

The food and service here is good. They have a good lunch special that has good variety and is a good size portion for lunch. My only issue is that only one of the cooks were wearing gloves. In Cobb County it is health code that food prepares wear gloves when touching ready to eat foods. The expediter was garnishing plates using his bare hands and the cook on the other side of the window was clearly picking up tacos and handling them with his bare hands. I know gloves don’t guarantee clean hands but it’s better than nothing.

Excellent Mexican fare. We had the soup and it was amazing. Great time with friends. Highly recommend

love Mexican food and have a few favorites with Nuevo Laredo being the best of the best but we decided to try El Felix on a rainy weekend. Anytime we’ve been at the Battery it’s always crowded so we had never tried it. I read some reviews ahead of time and glad I did. First the combo salsa is a must. You’ll get a spicy red and mild green salsa but you MUST combine them for an incredible flavor. Secondly the combo burrito for 1 per is easily shared by 2. The enormous shrimp wrapped in bacon are to die for. Very impressed with staff and food. Will definitely be back!

Very good Mexican food. Wonderful and very fast service. We are from Texas and know good Mexican food. This is the real deal.

This was a great spot along the belt line to visitduringour 24 hourstayin Atlanta. We had some good cold drinks, including a delicious rum and rootbeer the bartender was amazing to help make happen by getting a rootbeer from the brewery next door. Food was good, but I cannot stress enough how amazing the combination fajitas were! We feel we will be searching in vane to find another one as good as the one we got here. We will be back to Atlanta one day, and coming back to SUPERICA for that delicious fajita again will be a must!

Fresh food! The chips come with a variety of salsas and are warm and crispy. My favorite is the chicken nachos! They’re served individually — meaning it’s not just a big basket or plate of chips with toppings dumped on. Instead, each chip is topped with chopped chicken, cheese, and beans. The seasoning on the chicken is delicious. Highly recommend!

Real nice place the hostess with tha mostess...we sat outside for lunch...very nice place ...clean .bathrooms a 3..but we ordered the 2 taco lunch special..they were very fresh.and the beans and rice very good..rhe sauces and chios very good...the hamburger we ordered with all kinds of dtuff plus the steak fries. And the sauce for the fries off tha chain for the hamburger as well... we will be back 👍😎

My favorite meal in Atlanta during our 4 day trip. Truly delicious!! The margaritas, salsas, fajitas, tacos, nachos, mojitos, the service....all TOP NOTCH!! Can’t wait to come back on our next trip! Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We ate here the other night with family. There was a wait so we got margaritas at the bar first. Despite there being a crowd at the bar, the bartender got our order and made our drinks very quickly. Once we were seated, our server was amazing (I forget her name!) Our food was all excellent and was brought out quickly. Overall, wonderful place to get some TexMex. We will definitely be back!

I can't say enough great things about this place. The food is well worth the price. The service is fantastic. Even the managers came around and seemed to genuinely care about how their customers were enjoying the experience. This place is a must try!! Ford Fry never disappoints.

My stuffed poblano was very good and it was a generous portion. The salsa was good but a little hot. The avocado was delicious. This is a nice casual restaurant.

So 2nd time in this time the burger was huge juicy chilli lettuce pickles tomatoes onion 2 patties cheese 🧀 😋 so messy many napkins so Great the steak 🍟 fries so hot just Wright. The sauce on the side is so good 👍. The crunchy tacos was not so good but the soft were way better.the beans and rice and tacos just kinda room temperature..service was good ..will be back for the burger.

Fancy Chili’s food in short. It’s a nice place to hangout with your friends, like a nice lounge. But it’s a restaurant. Everything is cluttered together with no privacy. Food was meh at best. Fries were awful.

They had a problem with the dish washer machine and were going to have to close but ran us down to tell us it was resolved. Steak fajita nachos were great.

El Felix Tex-Mex is located in The Battery near the stadium where the Atlanta Braves play (SunTrust Park). It is a "happening place" with lots of people coming and going from families with kids (even during the day), couples and business people. It is a bit loud with high ceilings and a concrete floor but otherwise it is well run, efficient and food is quite good. I have been eating Mexican food for a long time and consider myself a bit of a food snob (if that is possible with Mexican food). However, I find the food here to be quite good, especially my favorite, chicken fajitas. They serve a couple different salsas with the homemade chips and they offer some additional hot sauce if you want to spice it up a bit. The well trained and efficient wait staff is excellent considering the number of tables they have to serve. This is a fun place with positive vibes and excellent food. Kudos to Ford Fry (owner and chef) who created the concept. He clearly know his business and provides not only good food but terrific customer service. Oh yea, the margaritas are not bad either. If you cannot make it to The Battery, there are other locations around Atlanta.

Came here for a quick app before the game. Sat at the bar and was fun to people watch and talk to the great staff behind the bar. Food was fantastic and the sangria was quite good. No real patio.. but fun vibe inside. Would definitely come back to try more menu items.

We arrived just as the restaurant was beginning its 5PM dinner service on game night. We were quickly seated, and as new diners had several restaurant offerings explained to us. Every employee we encountered was very friendly, and professional. The food arrived quickly and was excellent. El Felix will be our go-to choice for pregame dining at the Battery.

My wife, daughter and I had lunch here on a non game day. Parking was easy. The food was very good. My wife and I shared tacos carnitas and steak. They were both good.

It was seven ladies that love Mexican food! This place is a disgrace. It wasn’t packed, so either they need more help or train the staff better. We ordered drinks and it took more than 10 minutes to receive them. Now for the food! The bacon nachos, do not order, 8 chips, with a 1/3 strip of bacon and cheese. In the middle lots of lettuce and pickle carrots, onions and peppers, The enchiladas, rice and black beans sat under the salamander too long rice was hard, and cheese was close to burnt. The tacos, had a 1/2 head of shredded lettuce on top. Many other fine places to eat in the Battery. Never again.

Would have gave 5 star but the beer taps were out of service. Guac was awesome Chips and salsa awesome Queso wonderful Steak tacos excellent Chulapas were different, and excellent Shrimp appetizer was great Vegetarian something or another was great. Margarita was good and strong! Great place, great alternative to ball park food!

Great location, has a patio that can be closed for weather. Every employee was friendly and upbeat. They all helped each other out. 2 Salsa options and a signature hot sauce. My friend had a house salad and taco combo. Salad dressing was original and yummy. Taco's were full to the top. Small bar with many options

Solid Tex Mex spot Tasty salsas, excellent tacos and delicious enchilladas served in a spacious dining hall with a good selection of beers. Its a little pricey due to the location. But it is a good way to spend an hour before or after a game at Truist Field

what a cool restaurant! we were sat in this cool half moon spot in the back of the dining room so we got to see all the action. all different types of people were enjoying themselves. you must try the tacos al carbon...they sound simple but they are DELICIOUS. equal, if not better, was the service. our server was so sweet and addressed all the little details that made our night complete.

I live in Dallas, and there are a lot of great places to have Tex-Mex. Truth be told, I've been to a lot of Tex-Mex places outside the state and too many of them fail miserably. That is not the case here. In some ways, they offer something better than back home. I sat at the bar, which I often to when traveling alone on business. My waitress was very friendly and accommodating. I liked their chips and salsa's very much (they had two varieties; one a spicy tomato based version and then a green, avocado version), both of which were really good. I ordered the chicken taquitos off the appetizer menu and they were more than enough for dinner. When I return to Atlanta I would not hesitate to go again.

Nice place, sat in the outside area. Waiter took our whole order at once (drinks included - instead of first). The place was not packed and it took a long time to get them. Chips & salsa was good. I asked for Quesadilla with no jalapeno's - got them anyway. Beef tacos were okay. '

We were in the area and was surprised at how full everywhere was on a cold Friday night! Liking Mexican food and the fact there was a very limited wait time we decided to give it a shot. Full menu of typical TexMex food we opted for a variety of tacos and were not disappointed. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

We stopped here preflight which was a good idea! The chips and wide range of sauces for them were perfect accompanied with cold beers. The food was interesting though needed a bit more punch in terms of flavour. Pulled pork tacos were the highlight

Ate here recently and everything was phenomenal. The salsas are so tasty, fish tacos were incredible and I have never had a Margarita as tasty as the one I had here. Cannot wait to go back and eat here again.

I hadn't been down to SunTrust Park and The Battery, and I hadn't done any research in advance. (Why bother when TripAdvisor can point me when I'm there?) We just walked around for a few minutes and this looked generally appealing. The food had both quality and quantity. A "stuffed pepper" doesn't sound like a huge meal, but to our surprise, it was the size of the plate, and the plate was a normal sized dinner plate! Yeah, that's a big pepper. In fact, I've never seen a pepper that size before. Very tasty, too. Seafood enchiladas were tasty too - tasty enough in fact that I'm suspicious as to just how many calories were really on that plate, but you only live once... The only problem with the large portions is that there wasn't any room for dessert, nor were there probably any calories left in the budget for same... But we went away happy. I will certainly be back next time I go to a game.

We stopped in without reservations and only had to wait about 15 min even though the restaurant was very busy. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. I will definitely be going back to try the other items on the menu. The Fajitas looked wonderful and my enchiladas were great!

Dinner for 4 and we all enjoyed it. The only negative was that they were out of one menu item, the pork belly. We shared the fajitas deluxe and really enjoyed them. The wood fired chicken and steak had a great flavor. The portions were large. The ATL margaritas were very good. The first ones we ordered weren’t made correctly but they fixed the problem very quickly. I would definitely eat here again.

this place rocks. I didnt really know what to expect out of a mexican restaurant in a baseball stadium center, but i was completely blown away. we had multiple people checking in on us and we never had to ask for a thing! the fajitas came out with smoke going to the ceiling, and the drinks were delicious. when i am in town next i will be sure to return.

Great service. Great atmosphere. The salsa is great and the chips are fresh. The queso is very fresh and good also.

Look no further! Really good atmosphere and high quality Tex-Mex. The sauces and Salsa are hot and the food is authentic! A little noisy.

I've eaten Tex-Mex food all over the southwest, and Superica is a small class at the top of the list. The ambiance, food and drinks, and service were excellent. However, this location is very small, and the hostess was doing a terrible job in orchestrating the seating. We called ahead because we had a party of 6. We were told the wait was 1-2 hours, so we checked in an hour later. The wait ended up being over 2 and a half hours. Many groups checked in after we arrived were seated because they were smaller groups. The reason our wait was so long was in large part because the 6 top tables were slow to turn over. After all, the hostess was seating groups of 2 at these limited number of 6 top tables. I've dined at Superica dozens of times, and this was the worst run floor I have experienced. My waitress, Shakiya, was outstanding. She was very friendly and accommodating. We had 3 appetizers, and all were delicious. I am surprised that Superica doesn't make a better salsa. Their salsa is too runny. The green-chile salsa is worth the visit all by itself. We tried several entrees, and all were fantastic. The margaritas were also top-notch.

Went with a group of co-workers so we were able to order across the menu. Everything was FABULOUS! We started with guac and chili con queso along with endless chips & salsa. They have a unique way of spicing their food, and sure not to disappoint. For dinner, we had several different fajitas, but the 2 favs were steak & chicken, and since the vegetable fajita had an interesting variety I had that and added the bacon-wrapped jalapeno shrimp that was served with a foamy butter that will get you coming back for more! Definitely our new favorite spot!

Battery Park is amazing with lots of restaurants. We chose El Felix as we were ready for Tex Mex. Our waiter was 5 days on the job but he was excellent and attentive. This is the first month of their opening at this site. The steak tacos were very good as well as the fajitas. We were two hours early for the game so our time was relaxed. When we left the line was out the door. It had a full menu with a lot of different salsas and other nice add ones.

Went down to The Battery to meet friends and we thought we would try El Felix. Easy access from the red parking lot. Nice bartenders and good drinks. Chips and salsa to start both spices brown and lighter green. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive. Recommended the fajitas. I had steak and it was superb. Tex mex Smokey and tender. Be very careful with the pepper however. It lit me up! All in all an very nice night with good friends and good food. I will come back.

Maybe being from Texas makes me a Tex-Mex snob, but this was a poor imitation of what I can get in Dallas. But the bigger disappointment was the disinterested service I received. It certainly wasn’t Texas hospitality.

Went here on game day and found the wait, despite MANY empty tables, to be a little on the long side. Once seated, service was about the same, a little slow (but with a smile). Not sure if there are staffing issues or staff simply didn't show?? The decor was themed in an attempt to impart "tex-mex" ambience. While the salsas were good, the rest of the food bordered on bland and boring. Not impressed.

Just got back from the El Felix at the Battery. Could not have been better. The chips and salsa were great. Salsa all fresh and delicious. The chips were thin and seasoned very well. I had two steak tacos al carbon. Also, seasoned so well I did not want to use any of the sauce they provided. Tortillas fresh and delicious. Service also very good. Prices reasonable considering how awesome everything is. I'll definitely be back many times.

I was by myself New Year's Eve. I knew I needed to eat here. So I sat at the bar. Wow, the staff took such great care of me. I had shrimp wrapped with bacon and jalapeno's with tortilla and all the fixings. OMG....they were incredible. I think their tortilla's are the best ever. I love this food and eat it all the time, But this is my favorite of all. The selection of food was amazing. The portion of food I received was incredible. I always come here when I visit my kids in Atlanta. The place is always packed but especially this night. The staff did not seem ill or angry that they had to work. I love this place.

The variety of sauces and the staff's ability to edit in/out ingredients to dishes is exceptional. I tried new ingredients in dishes that I've never experienced. We went on a non-ballgame day & really enjoyed the dining experience as well as the Battery itself. Highly recommend

We were in town for the first playoff win in the Braves short history of Sun Trust. As impressive as the young Braves were this year, I found the team at El Felix as impressive. This restaurant exemplifies strong leadership, a committed and happy workforce, and excellent food/drink choices. While the food was great, I was blown away by the friendliness of our server, AnnaGrace, and the amount of teamwork at this establishment. On several occasions, others, including management, stopped by to check on and chat. Thank you for a great meal and service. We will be back.

Took the family on a birthday dinner excursion. We arrived at El Felix and we all agreed the final vote was a 9/10. Only because my family are authentic Mexican and if it is not Mexico it can not receive a 10. The pasole is the only low point. The tacos, the tampiquenas and queso fundido with rajas y hongos all were a fan favorite. I had a Texas star and it was good but it was strong. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area of Avalon.

Exploring the area for a new restaurant, we gave this a try and glad we did. Great food, service and overall atmosphere. A nice addition to The Battery at Sun Sun Trust Park, the Mexican fare here is outstanding. The lunch combo is a good value and the chorizo queso app is phenomenal. Highly recommend coming here for lunch or dinner with friends or large group.

“Best chicken fajitas ever!” “Loved the tortilla soup” whole group very impressed. Erin our waitress was delightful. Service outstanding. Worth the wait!

I've always enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup and salad combo for lunch, it's a staple in my lunch rotation. Today El Felix let me down big time. I'm not sure if this is a permanent change, but I certainly hope it isn't, at the very least the waitress should have told us it was different when ordering. The soup tasted like they mixed together the pozole broth and chicken tortilla fixings, then removed the cheese. Terribly salty too. I will not order this again if it doesn't go back to the old style.

My wife and I shared the trip fajitas and everything was excellent. The homemade tortillas, all 3 meats, cheese (needed more), and the onions/peppers were fresh and flavorful. The decor and atmosphere was well appointed. However the service was subpar from the front to the waitress.

Superica was convenient for an event I was attending with a friend. We chose this one over all the eateries around Truist Park as we always like TexMex. The staff were very friendly and the drinks were good, and as we were there around 5pm the service was good as it wasn't very busy. However, the food was very poor for the price. Very salty tortilla chips (to keep you drinking more beer, of course), runny and strange salsa, and the street tacos we both had were tiny little things made of 100% beef fat chunks, which we could not finish as they were so nasty. We had to leave to get to our event so did not have time to complain about it. It's a shame as the bar is nice and the staff are very friendly, but the kitchen let the front of house staff down badly.

We visited before the Braves game yesterday afternoon. It was a really good experience. They clearly know how to handle a pre-game rush of customers! Their salsas were AMAZING! the queso was super good. The food was really good too. I'll try something different next time. The margaritas were super small given the price, so don't be surprised when you order. Will definitely be back!

The brunch at Superica was delicious. We had the Migas, Huevos Rancheros, and Chilaquiles. The Huevos Rancheros were the best. The only reason I didn't give Superica an excellent rating, was the slow service.

The staff was very nice and patient. We had a party of 12. They bring out fresh tortilla chips and two different kinds of salsa. One was mild and one was hot. I tried them both and liked them, but try them mixed together and you have hit a jackpot! We had margaritas and they were delicious!! The tacos, refried beans, and rice were good too. I had the taco dinner plate. Best time to go on a Saturday is before 5pm. After that time, the restaurant was extremely busy with at least an hour and wait.

Just the old El Felix with a new name. It was late and I was hungry so we went should have just left the battery and hit the Chick-fil-A. Spent 86 bucks for the equivalent of Taco Bell. Maybe I’m spoiled with really good Mexican joints at home. Service was as lackluster as the food better options to be found.

Stopped here after the Braves ballgame. Had a few minute wait, but not bad. Once seated, had very prompt service. He ordered a margarita which was not worth it. Small glass, mostly ice for $10. The guacamole was tasty and we liked the chips that accompanied it. Refills on water and soda came promptly despites how busy they were. We split the 1 lb. steak/chicken fajitas ($50 - a little expensive I thought. (WOW. That was a lot of food so had leftovers for lunch.) Steak was a little tough to chew but overall deliciously seasoned. It was entertaining to watch all the people come and go. Friendly servers.

There was an hour wait to get in, and the service came shortly after with salsa and chips. The chicken tortilla is a winner, if you are hungry get one pound. Getting a cocktail/coke the 1/2 pound will work. My stop for every Atlanta Braves game.

The best fajitas you’ll ever have!! The steak and chicken fajita portion was huge. The steak and chicken were both cooked perfectly. Lots of gluten free options including the chips which are fried in their own oil. Our waiter, Sergio was knowledge and attentive.

With a strong menu, great service and a good selection of drink choices, the El Felix will please most palates. The Carnitas De Puerco (Pork Belly) was tender and tasty with a good size helping. I added the Puffy Chile con queso to the meal to give it a try. I found it a little bland, but others at the table loved it so this is something you should try for yourself.

Dear Kevin and the fine El Felix establishment, We stopped in late night yesterday for the first time and it’s easy to say our experience was nothing short of unforgettable! Preston was our server and was one of the reasons I highly recommend El Felix - He made our dinner last night so fun. I have not laughed that hard in a long time! Preston was so personable and welcoming to all of our questions and antics, both serious and absolutely ridiculous. The food was incredible too! We had the Chicken Tacos and Enchiladas they did not disappoint! I’m reminiscing on those tacos and wishing I could have them again right now. He even surprised us with dessert to celebrate a spontaneous occasion! My whole experience last night in the Battery was awesome, a large part of that was due to El Felix and Preston’s fun service! Thank you for the delicious food and unforgettable night! We will definitely be back!

My dietary restrictions were accommodated at company lunch. Food was delicious and customer service exceptional.

Last year (2019) during the Braves season this restaurant was El Felix. I see older reviews here by the name Superica so I don't know if it was Superica then El Felix and is now Superica again. But it's the same building and has had two names. Visited Sept 30, 2020. Ate on the enclosed patio. Taco plate was very good and so was the Carbon Steak tacos. Didn't have any cocktails because we had already had plenty earlier watching the Braves on the screen on the Green. Chips and salsa were great and ate way too many chips. Would definitely go back.

Well this isn't your typical hole in the wall Mexican joint, but don't let that intimidate you. The nachos here are some of the best I have ever had, they are not the typical pile of chips with toppings and also don't miss out on the cheese dip with brisket and guac probably one of my all time favorites. Service here is wonderful and the drinks good though not the typical margarita. I have been with a big group and they were great (10 ppl) and with smaller groups and always had stellar service, that is a good sign of a well run establishment!

It was before a Braves game when we decided to stop here. Packed! Took awhile, but the margaritas were tasty! Didn’t try the food. It would have taken way too long for a meal.

Fantastic Tex Mex food and ambience. The mescal margarita was perfect. Lots to choose from on the menu for a variety of tastes & picky eaters! Service was also superb. Among the most reasonably priced dining options in the Battery when we visited for some Braves games. The online wait list is disabled during games, so we had to walk in after getting out the ballpark gates. We enjoyed the post-game entertainment on the green & plaza while waiting for the text about our table. There is an option to get on the wait list at other times.

Went out to eat with my family. The food here is delicious. We all tried different entrees. Chile relleno, steak tacos al carbon, tacos de pescado, and tacos de carnitas. All tasted amazing. For an appetizer we had the Chile con queso compuesto. It has brisket, quacamole, and pico in it. The brisket was amazing.

The food and atmosphere is consistently good here and I especially enjoy it for lunch. The portions are good sizes and the food tastes fresh. The chips and salsa start things off right (with plenty of chips offered) and there is a full menu to suit different tastes. I had just done a tooth procedure so got soft foods and really enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup and black beans on the side. The enchiladas looked great so that’s on my list for next time!

Located in the Battery area not far from Braves Stadium. Large area of seating so waiting was never an issue. Awesome chips and salsa and beer. fajitas looked and smelled amazing although we did not eat meal just chips queso and salsa!

The food was hot and lots of flavor. The red salsa served was spicy and delicious. Pair it with the green as our server suggested it was yummy. My margarita was refreshing. Yes we would come back.

Went for dinner prior to the ball game. Got here early about 1 1/2hr prior to the game and had no problem getting a table. Made the mistake of getting one in the open windows as by the time we were done the sun was directly on us and very hot. Good atmosphere and the food was very good. Everything was made with a different twist which made it interesting and good. Reasonably priced for the location. If you like Tex-Mex I would recommend this.

Went last night with some folks down from Boston for the Game. Figured it might be less crowded than downtown and still have a downtown feel. We were correct on both counts. No reservations so that must be taken into account, but we had a wonderful day so margaritas outside while we waited and peolple watched was fine. Dinners were all excellent and service was pleasant and attentive. This is my third visit to El Felix and all have been terrific. It is my go to suggestion for meeting folks without having to go downtown.

On a game night? Or on a night without a game? Sit outside and drink some beer with your friends. This upscale area around the Braves Stadium is packed every night. Surrounded by restaurants and bars, there are families and young people everywhere (we even saw a marriage proposal on a Monday night). The food is nothing special, Tex-Mex like almost anything else but a healthy beer selection if that is your thing. Worth going for your Mexican food craving but not a special date destination

Very busy the night of a show at the Roxy, so only available seating was at the bar. Took my seat and my bartender Amber was quick to bring me a drink and menu (even though the place was super busy, she was in top of her game - kept everybody in drinks and food). Had the tacos pescado, which are delicious! Catfish was lightly battered and crispy outside, flaky inside. Complimented by delicious citrusy avocado sauce. Even the beans were tasty, with lots of bacon mixed in. Overall, service was excellent and food was delicious - will definitely return next time I am in the area.

Cheese dip and guac were very good (guac was extremely fresh). The shrimp tacos were great as well. Margaritas were also good, a little weak, but good. This is a great restaurant at the battery, however the service left something to be desired. We had several people ordering two drinks at a time because the service was so extremely slow. The restaurant also didn't seem to care that everything was moving at a snails pace. It was a very nonchalant attitude towards poor service. This place has potential as the food is good, but every other restaurant at the Battery provides better service. I likely will not try again anytime soon as there are too many options out there to receive this poor of service.

Like all the Battery restaurants before a Braves game, El Felix had a long waiting list for lunch but we put in our name and enjoyed a cold beer while we waited. The food was worth waiting for, hot and fresh. Chips, fresh and still warm, come to the table with two salsa choices. Chicken enchiladas and Tostadas were among the best we've ever had. Service was friendly and quick. Much better than eating ballpark junk food! Prices were a little more than usual Mexican, probably because of the Battery location, but well worth it.

We had out of town visitors and wanted to show them the Battery. It was game night so we were quoted a 45 minute wait. The only down fall from this whole experience was the lady who in fact seated us.....seemed to be confused. The server, a young lady, was great, attentive, and on point. What's impressive is how everyone ( food runners, floor managers, and other servers) are there filling water, offering additional chips, and checking on the table. Table maintenance as tad sloppy, but you can't have everything. The meal was delicious and I appreciate the fact, that tho you pay $9.00 for shrimp to be added to the delicious house salad, in fact , you get shrimp. Nothing worse than skimpy add ons. Another Ford Frye gem.

Had family from out of state staying in the Atlanta area who wanted to go out for dinner and some drinks. We had not been to the Battery so we went there and found the El Felix. It is very popular and busy. Put our name in an waited about 20 minutes for a table. Was able to find a spot at the bar to wait and had a drink. The staff was great. They were very friendly and helpful. Have not found many places in the Atlanta area that serves good Mexican food but this place does. The menu is a bit limited but the four of us all got something different and loved it all.

Fajitas for $28 ??? no no no. thats more than double than what it should be and a very small portion as well. beware!! $7 for a local beer which btw -- wasnt local!!
Disappointing Mexican meal in the Battery
2 hour wait for seating, 1.5 hour wait for food. Waitress superior despite restaurant disorganization. Restaurant advertises Tex-Mex food. Food is pricey average Mexican, little Texan influence. Background music loud with little relation to ethnic food served.
