Great variety of Sushi plus terrific Miso soup. For those of us who liked cooked fish, their Tempura is to die for. A great meal for our tastes! The service was courteous, prompt and attentive

Amazing sushi!! I made it just under the wire for lunch (they close between 2 and 3), so I decided to eat some there and take the rest to go. Miso soup was tasty and the sushi was AMAZING!! Service was excellent as well. I sat up at the bar and got to see the chef making the rolls. Very impressive!! We will be back!!

Sustainable oceans menu. Great rolls. Great service. It's wonderful to have a solid Japanese option on the top of Queen Anne again.

If you have to wait, wait. It will be well worth it. This restaurant has all the elements I could ask for especially elegance of simplicity given the impermanence on your plate. Everyone is friendly and helpful. If you want sake lessons, the wait staff have the answers. Don't come here if you only want to eat. Relax, breathe, participate in the meal by watching and enjoy the feel of place.

We have been walking by here for months and finally stopped in now that they have sake and wine. There food is outstanding! They are friendly and family friendly and have some of the best specialty rolls we have had. We had the dragon roll and the samurai roll and both were outstanding. We will be back again! Very fresh food, super friendly staff and overall very good experience

If you are looking for the freshest fish, and most creative, delicious, and traditional sushi, look no further than The Sushi Samurai. NEW REMODEL--this means that the decor has come close to catching up with the cuisine. Dine in the rich ambience that the new build out shows. Owner, Ray (a traditionally trained sushi chef) and his brother hold down the fort and create a remarkable experience for all. Best seat in the house is the bar, where you can watch the master at work and also have some great conversation.

My husband and I stopped by for happy hour, and had a great experience! We ordered 3 rolls and a set of nigiri accompanied by 2 sake bombs. Everything tasted so fresh, and the presentation was great too! They recently remodeled so the atmosphere was great, and the service was outstanding. I think I've found my new go-to sushi spot in Seattle!

Words can't even say, my tummy was in absolute bliss...Sushi Lovers-this place is just exceptional! A MUST! So now I'm hooked on their Kenbishi "Kuromatsu" Sake too...

First time there since they became 100% vegan and, wow, were we impressed. The service was great, but the food was just beyond incredible.

We were a bit weary of trying this restaurant after they went to a vegan sushi restaurant. Our vegan family were visiting and so we seized the opportunity and WOW! Everything was delicious!

We happened upon this all vegan sushi place in Queen Anne. One person in our party was vegan, one vegetarian, and I'm pescetarian myself and love fish sushi. I was a bit skeptical of how good it was going to be and wasn't thrilled with our dinner venue choice, but kept an open mind. The waiter was very friendly and explained that everything was vegan. When our dishes came out, it was beautifully presented—photo quality sushi presentation. I noticed that the vegan salmon LOOKED like real salmon. My first bite: YUM! If I had this sushi at a party and didnt know it was vegan, I would not have had a second thought about it. It was THAT GOOD. We loved all the sushi and I still think about that place!!

I know I have reviewed this place before, but I cannot express enough how amazing the food and service is! The family that owns/runs the business are so friendly and accommodating. You only have to go in a few times before they recognize and remember you. And the sushi ROCKS!!! We will be back again and again and again!!

I can only speak to their Happy Hour (4-6pm). I visited on Friday around 4:30 p.m. The restaurant wasn't too busy when we got seated but quickly filled with people shortly after. We got Seafood Poke, Sushi Nigiri, spicy tuna roll and Las Vegas roll. All came with generous potions of raw fish - we both were happy with the food quality and happy hour price.

I wasn't a fan of this place. We love Umi so that's where our standards are and this place tried to be like it in terms of fun, creative rolls. The rolls were lacking on flavor and seemed room-temperature (which always makes me nervous). Overall, the atmosphere was good but nothing abnormal.

My wife and I are recently vegan, and sushi is one of our most difficult farewells. The guilt-free sushi offerings here bring back a cuisine we love with extraordinary flavor and creativity. We took a broad sampling from their menu and loved—all of it. Pair that with some of the kindest service you can imagine and there’s no wonder this family endeavor has generated so much buzz-1not to mention satisfied tummies. We’ll certainly be back on our next trip to Seattle.

On a business trip and went for Sushi. Very nice stop and everyone was happy. I got the bowl of beef thing and a vegetarian sushi roll and they were both very good. I did not pay but I think it reasonable. Nice group seating. Wish I could go again.
What a waste of good food
Living on Queen Ann for the last 30 years I have an appreciation for new restaurants. The place is small, quaint and casual. All good things for this neighborhood. The food is yummy, no doubt. The service is ridiculous. It's actually offensive. Having been there twice before, I thought perhaps this third time would provide a better experience. My friend and I sat at the counter where we had full view of the kitchen. The feeling was awkward. Not engaging, accommodating, cordial or any other word you could use to describe a feeling that you're really not that welcome. Maybe it was close to closing time and no one wanted us to eat? Not sure. We ordered, with no complaints on the food. The service at that point wasn't good or bad, it just was. The problem came at the end when our appetizer and dinner plates were stacked in front of us while watching our server squatting in the kitchen eating his dinner. The rest of the crew seemed blind to the fact our dishes were stacked and piled up in front of us, water was empty and we were wanting our check. This kind of blatant disregard to service is no acceptable under any circumstance. I don't care if you're a diner, fast food, or neighborhood place. Someone needs to pay attention. Sad, really.
