21st Birthday disappointment

By louise r |

Oh dear what has happened to my favourite restaurant?! I was taking my son for a belated 21st Dinner due to having to wait two years for our trip from UK due to covid. For years I have told him about this wonderful place only to find it far from wonderful! My ribeye was tough, chewy and over cooked, sons filet over cooked, both sent back quietly and without fuss but treated like idiots by arrogant staff who tried to tell us it was the light outside making steaks look over cooked! Our sides were left on table to go cold while they cooked new steaks, mine was better, sons was now blue/ raw and inedible! Typical stroppy chef moment- I know because I am one! Anyway we paid bill and left, I was so disappointed, disappointed my son didn’t experience the great meal I had always had previously and disappointed that the restaurant I had always enjoyed so much had gone so far downhill. I hope it was a one off but this visit was so bad I’m not sure I’m willing to try again

Las Vegas Luxury

By WFisherDoyle |

We celebrated my brother-in-law’s 40th birthday here and we all enjoyed it! It is a very upscale restaurant with a dress code (but it wasn’t strictly enforced either; however I recommend business casual). The service was absolutely amazing! So attentive and well informed, they even brought a mini chair for my purse! We got one of the specials which was a Domestic Tomahawk Steak with grilled vegetables and potatoes and it was considered a shareable. There is an electronic projector show as well that starts at 8pm so if you are able, get a seat on the patio for the best view. This was definitely a taste of the finer side of Las Vegas!

Great staff, great food!

By Dhancy Sarmiento |

The food is amazing— the quality makes the price totally worth it, the staff are super attentive to details, especially Nicholas and Ken. They all did a good job at making us feel at ease and allowed us to enjoy our meal with casual conversation. If you ever head here you should definitely look for those two! Everyone else is amazing as well though, and this place really does deserve 5 stars!

Not good enough

By Tool007 |

Super fancy upscale restaurant at Wynn hotel. The only thing that has gone up since my last visit are the prices, and then i mean alot! When they dont deliver on the rest its just not good enough. 3 cource dinner here with wine sets you easy back 1000 dollars for a couple. We started with kingcrab salad & crab soup. Just baffled how they manage to make a quality product like kingcrab totally tasteless, i wonder if they used another product. Anyway the dish was a big flop. Crab soup little better, but still nothing to write home about. A tasty lobsterbisque is so much better. For main we opted for different steaks. Quality was ok, but sauces and side dishes was not the best. Service very professional. Winelist huge and not on the cheap side. I have no problem to pay good money for restaurants where i feel its value for money, unfortunately i dont feel that at SW anymore.

Lovely Evening

By SierraToGo |

The setting by the Lake of Dreams is beautiful and serene. We had reservations for 3 months. Requested table by the Lake. When we got there, they said that was impossible. After handing the hostess a large tip, we got a beautiful Lakeside table. Hey -it's Vegas. The service was not rushed rather it was efficient and pleasant. Our food was very good. No complaints. Never felt rushed, enjoyed the evening very much. It's a beautiful fine dining experience.

Truly fantastic

Amazing Dining Experience at SW Steakhouse

By William N |

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Our servers, Bebe and Anthony, were absolutely amazing! They were both professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. The food was as outstanding as the service we received. I cannot recommend this place enough! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Best fine dining experience of our trip!

By Ann F |

What. An. Experience . Reservations for 6 tonight and our table was ready. The room is gorgeous. The service is impeccable. The food is fabulous. Dirty Martini to start. Can we talk about the cheese bread! Our waiter Anthony was amazing. He gave us a tour of the menu and made the perfect suggestions for our meal. How great they offer half portions so we could taste more delicious choices. We had a half order of the seafood platter to start. We had half the Lobster Truffle Gnocchi. I will be dreaming of this for days to come. I had the iceberg salad which is a take on the wedge. Amazing. Hubby had the ribeye cooked to perfection. We wanted the Chocolate dessert that is served table side. Ask for the rocky road not the molten. Well they returned the molten so it wouldn't go to waste. I am so happy we chose this for our one date night. Thank you for the most amazing dinner and service Anthony and staff!

Another Fine Dining Experience

By pgiulioni |

This dinner was part of a larger birthday celebration in Las Vegas. Since we had concert tickets we made reservations for the earliest seating - 5:30 PM. There was a team of 4 staff assigned to our section of the restaurant— and they worked seamlessly together to provide an elegant dining experience. The menu was complete, the wine and cocktail lists were extensive, and the views of the gardens exceptional. You will not be disappointed. Prices were comparable to any high end restaurant in any major city - you get what you pay for in this case!

Exceptional!!!

By Salena G |

This is by far one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. It was already special due to my dad joining me, after not seeing him for almost 3 years. We literally had the best seat in the house with clear views of the waterfall, and had three waiters waiting on us hand and foot. Not too much and not too little. These employees actually care and have trained on how to make the patrons feel special. I had done some research on where I could find the best scallops in Vegas, and SW came up. They did not disappoint. They were cooked perfectly and on a bed of risotto. My dad had the filet cooked medium well but came out over done. One of our waiters was horrified that it ever left the kitchen and made it right, right away. The manager sent two huge deserts to make up for it. One with gold leaf on top of a decadent chocolate half sphere of yumminess. The other cheesecake with edible pearls on top. Truly worth every penny and will be my new tradition every time I am in Vegas. Thank you to Andre, Alan and Shannon for making my special time even more special. Make your reservations now!

Dinner with a View

By Giselle |

My husband and I had dinner last night at this restaurant. The best part, of course, was the Lake of Dreams. We were fortunate enough to snag a table outside and we enjoyed all the different shows. They are extremely well done and original. It was a different dining experience than what we have had before. As for the food, we had some hits and some misses. The complimentary Parmesan cheese breads were delicious. For appetizer , we ordered the Maryland Blue Crab Cake and it was probably one of the best crab cakes we have ever had! 10/10, a must try! For our entrees, my husband ordered the filet which was undercooked in the center for his liking but did enjoy like the taste (7/10). He raved about the bacon and shallot topping for it though (10/10). I opted for the jidori chicken which was super dry, I could hardly cut through it (3/10). The items that came with the chicken dish were good, but not worth the price of the plate. As for side dishes, we ordered a half size of the black truffle cream corn (10/10), and the potato gratin (7/10, just ok). The total bill came out to over $200, and that’s without ordering any drinks. All in all, we enjoyed our night, especially the beautiful patio overlooking the lake. For us this is a one time deal, and would not return in the future.

Steak was tough

By James C |

Restaurant was beautiful. The steak was not. The pretzel bread was delicious. The steak was tough. My mother had the ribeye. She actually spit a piece out. I had the filet. The knife they gave us had difficulty getting through the meat. The bill was 224.00 and I feel like I buy better steak from Costco. They did honor my mother's birthday with a small cupcake. That was lovely. I would not return.

SW Steakhouse, a huge disappointment!

By Denise H |

We were so excited for our reservation at SW Steakhouse because we had heard it was the best steakhouse in Vegas. The night before we ate at another steakhouse on the strip with the Bellagio fountains right outside the window that was far superior. When we arrived for our reservation, we were told we couldn’t sit outside because they were so full even though our reservation was for a table outside. We ordered the filet mignon with three of the four ordering a loaded baked potato while I ordered the au gratin potatoes. When we received our food, we were all very disappointed that the steaks were blackened and that taste was over powering the actual meat taste. One at our table ordered his filet medium rare and it came out well done. They took it back to the kitchen while the rest of us ate our meal while they were still warm. He didn’t get his filet back for 20-30 minutes and this time it was even more well done, not at all what he ordered. When we did receive his second overdone filet, his baked potato had gotten cold and the restaurant didn’t consider bringing him a fresh potato. The others at the table that had the baked potatoes commented that they weren’t cooked fully plus the bacon bits were huge chunks of ham, not bacon bits. The au gratin potatoes I ordered honestly had no taste. The waiter agreed to take the one filet off the bill so since we were seeing a show right after dinner we got our check, paid and left disappointed! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice but it was very loud throughout the entire dinner. For the prices you pay, it is not worth it.

Legendary

By Ben S |

The bread and butter is out of this world. The steak was 5/5. Service was excellent. Highly recommend eating here. My favorite steak house in las vegas. It's not as expensive as I thought.

Great food but overpriced, strange entertainment

By majicka |

The table that we had was excellent, really love the ambience of this restaurant and the food was great. I had a $300 Kobe/ Wagyu steak and was expecting more, having lived in Japan for ten years, I felt that the flavour was a bit average and it wasn't cooked as to my request. The side dishes were all excellent. Final point, I think it's nice to have entertainment during a meal but how weird are some of the shows here? Really bizarre.

A must! Spectacular in EVERY WAY!

By Sheri M |

Everytime we come to Vegas we indulge ourselves at this unbelievable restaurant. EVERYTHING is beyond wonderful. The atmosphere, the waitstaff, the food, and the dessert is off the charts! You will not be disappointed. Even the bread is amazing! Get dressed up and enjoy the magic!

“Has gone so far downhill it is not “Fine Dining” anymore”…

By PJ F |

I started calling the SW in February of 2021 to plan for our upcoming trip to Vegas the end of August. I wanted someplace amazing and high end to celebrate my husband’s 50th Birthday and we had gone to the SW before the pandemic and I was in love with their Lobster Truffle Gnocchi. We have always been unable to get the front row, lake side seat to watch the waterfall show and so I started early to ensure I got it for his birthday. I booked our reservation for the day of my husband’s birthday and emphasized my desire for the lakeside table. When I spoke to our concierge at the Cosmopolitan I also had her call and confirm our date and strongly request the lake side table for the birthday celebration. Two weeks before our reservation I had a second concierge call and confirm and I confirmed in person two days prior to the reservation. We arrived and were told “yes…we have a special table for you” and then showed us to a table inside (not out on the terrace lakeside as requested) that was located right next to the service station. I questioned the table and was told we could see the waterfall show from there and was inside so we could enjoy the AC. I was mad but didn’t want to have an altercation in front of my husband as I knew it would ruin his birthday. I looked at the couples seated lakeside and couldn’t help but wonder what they did to get those seats…did I not grease the right palms or drop the right names? I made the reservation the SECOND they allowed me to…so I am very confident there were no requests ahead of me as I had been calling constantly since February. Our waiter took so long coming over to get our drink order that we had already chosen our meal as well…he took our orders and we did not see him again until the end of our meal. Other service people delivered our drinks and food and he never swung back around to see if we wanted another drink, or to ask how our meal was (I had to ask a busboy to bring me salt and pepper…not hard as he was right behind me in the service station…YUK). I ordered the Lobster Truffle Gnocchi, the Crab Pasta, and my husband ordered the Dry Rub Steak. The Lobster Truffle Gnocchi was such a disappointment. I have pictures of this dish from our last visit and the difference is night and day. The Crab Pasta was dry and had little crab, and my husband’s steak was dry and flavorless. Our waiter finally returned to ask if we wanted desert and brought my husband a tiny chocolate covered “cupcake” with a candle for his birthday. This was such a huge disappointment…such a landmark birthday and planned over 6 months in advance, ruined! The SW didn’t even do as well as Applebees where we got attentive service, the seat we requested and a perfectly cooked, juicy steak just weeks before.

Good Steakhouse

By David A |

The food was good, not great; in particular we loved the pretzel bread - simply fantastic. The lobster bisque was just okay. It wasn't as creamy as is typical. The Bronzino was very good and my steak was also good. The ambiance itself is nice but the problem is that it feels like grand central station inside. There is far too much traffic for me to consider this elegant dining. Between the staff and the clientele there is foot traffic constantly; it just doesn't stop. The night we were there customers were back slapping and standing between tables regularly. For me its not the quiet, romantic type of restaurant that we like. The pace here is just to busy for my liking.

Why offer it if you're not going to follow through?!

By Brian O |

When I couldn't get a reservation at the date/time I requested, the restaurant offered to accept a request. This is taken from their email to me: "This is not a confirmed reservation, not yet at least. A member of our staff will be in touch with you shortly. Keep an eye out for email updates on this request." There were no further communications after this. If you're not going to follow up on it as you described, then why offer it at all? I would prefer just to be told "no", so then I could find another reservation

Amazing view, service and food!

By JFawd |

We were seated at a fantastic table right in front of the fountain. We ordered the Japanese Wagyu and the American Waygu, plus creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes. The food was presented beautifully and was exceptional. But the highlight of the meal was the attentive and pleasant wait staff. They didn’t pressure us to order a specific item or to leave before we were ready. We had multiple courses and coffees afterward, and were allowed to sit back, enjoy and relax. This was one of the most pleasant and memorable dinners ever. We will be back!

Hard to beat this

By joebacolod |

I love a good steak. The problem that I sometimes face is getting a fillet mignon cooked perfectly med/rare. There's a fine line between too rare and too well. They nailed it. The potato puree was outstanding, and who can beat the atmosphere? I would plan to make this a "must dine" when coming to Vegas. It's not cheap, but when in Vegas--go big or go home.

Thank you Katherine and SW Staff for a Memorable Evening

By Jennifer M |

I selected the SW Steakhouse to celebrate my 50th birthday during a girls' trip to Las Vegas. I was so fortunate to have Katherine, a manager at the SW helping me to organize this event. She created the menu, cocktail list and arranged for the most beautiful cake to be made. It was so special to have the custom menu cards for my guests and every detail was meticulously executed. When you are celebrating a milestone birthday with your closest friends you want it to be special. Words cannot describe how special it was. The steaks, starters and sides were excellent and my guests all commented that it was the best meal of the trip. Thank you Katherine as your special touches along with the SW staff made that night a very memorable one for myself and my guests.

It's fine, but so much easier to find better.

By Mike S |

Firstly, we had a 45 minute wait for our table which was booked for 8pm, whilst the front of house staff ignored us. Straight away, that leaves a sour taste. Once we were sat down, the service was impeccable in fairness. The sides were amazing, but we both ordered the filet and found it dry and quite flavourless. If it weren't for the lake of dreams show, I honestly think this place would struggle. There are so many better options on the strip, some of which aren't as expensive.

Bets experience legendary

Mark is a great guy excellent service make you feel at home. He helped with the area and showed me the great places to go, made me feel at home and made my hotel experience 1,000 times better then it was. Need to come to this place and see how great of a character mark is.

Great Meal

By paulg-Phoenix |

Second visit to SW and couldn't be better, drinks, food, service were what you would expect at the Wynn. The steaks do come with a char on the outside, some may not like it but it isn't a hard char crust as some others do. Only complaint and its minor is they don't enforce the dress code at all. Plenty of T shirts and beach shorts to go around, can't upset a YouTuber! Most are dressed for the elegant experience it is.

“Fell off a cliff….”

By Summit Seeker |

SW in my opinion, was the best steakhouse in Vegas for the first 12 yrs of its existence. Well, The Country Club at The Wynn Golf Course, with the same steaks, was on par as well… Anyways, last visit here in 2017 was one filled with tasty memories. However, all good things (the reign from 2005-2017), must come to an end I suppose. Firstly, the SW venue takes a backseat to none other: With patio seating overlooking the Lake Of Dreams, and it’s musical lighting show, the setting is perfect, for an evening out. Ordered the dry aged bone in NY strip, which wasn’t very good at all. It had a streak of fat in it that resembled a ribeye more than a strip, but without the flavor. Honestly, the most disappointing steak I’ve had a quite some time. I couldn’t finish it, and that never happens… My wife’s fillet, ordered med-well, came to the table rare at best. So, it had to be sent back, and cooked longer. Side items were very disappointing too: Au gratin potatoes were bland, broccoli was cold, and the mushrooms were just ok. The $28 glass of wine wasn’t one to write home about either. With all the missteps, we skipped dessert. Service was very good, but couldn’t carry the below average steaks and sides. I’ve never seen a restaurant go south so far, so fast. I’m not sure what has happened here: maybe Steve Wynn not being around much these days, has made for a lackluster experience. But for us, for now, we no longer recommend SW steakhouse.

Another winner at the Wynn

By Kelli B |

So, this place, compared to the other fine dining places we ate at at the Wynn, seemed the most "expensive". But the steak was really really excellent, and that's all that matters once you're there. Great service too. We had filet mignon (12 oz I think but it seemed smaller to me - who knows). Caesar salad was perfect. Shrimp cocktail was kind of a weird afterthought presentation wise, but was fine. The cocktail sauce was very good. Wines by the glass were expensive but they were fine letting you try before you buy (of course) and was well done. Would recommend if anyone really wants to eat a great steak. I think this place is way better than your capital grille or the other high end steakhouse chains by a good measure.

Dinner before our show at the Wynn

By march19131 |

This was our 4th time sitting by the lake and enjoying top service and food. Steak house has great menus that includes sea food. Great sides, wine menus and cocktails. We requested a table outside for our group of 7, show and lights were fun. I highly recommend SW Steakhouse at the Wynn Hotel. In a city with so many good restaurants, this steak house is over the top.

Not recommendable

By Alessandro B |

Steak was good. Purée was cold. We sat outside, then the opend the door and it got extremely cold. We tried to reseat but that was somehow not posible even though there were 4(!) free tables directly in front of us. Service was bad. Had to double, tripple and whatever check in everything. No authority. No atmosphere. Nothing for the big inconveniences. Would not go another time

SW equals excellence

By Ariaguy |

Best steak of my life. Excellent service and atmosphere. Suggest asking for a table on the patio. Free video show as well on the Lake of Dreams

Yet Another Tremendous Wynn/Encore Restaurant

By Vegaskev72 |

My goal is to try as many steakhouses in Vegas as possible. We had gone to Vegas for my birthday and my wife wanted to take me out for a dinner. I picked SW as my choice. I had looked at the menu and decided this would be a great place for the birthday dinner. We arrived and were asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. The inside is nice but mostly non-descript. However, outside you get to sit next to the Lake of Dreams. Beautiful view. I should note that it was 35C when we arrived. The wind pushed some spray from the waterfall over the table. It was just enough moisture to cool us a bit and was welcomed. The menu is what you would expect from every high end steakhouse. A selection of meats, seafood and accompaniments. The wine list was extensive. The wife and her girlfriend ordered cocktails while my friend and I shared a half bottle of champagne. The sommelier pointed us in the right direction for a champagne that we would like. My three travelling companions ordered the surf and turf (wagyu beef and 1.5 pound lobster) while I had the 18oz bone-in strip. I went with an appetizer since everyone else had the big plate of food. The Grilled Spanish Octopus was amazing. I only had one piece because the rest of the table wanted a piece too! The surf and turfs were brought out along with my steak. I had also ordered the King Crab Tater Tots. They were tasty but a bit too much food to add to an 18oz steak. haha. My steak was prepared perfectly. The others commented on how delicious their S&T dishes were. The sun continued to set and the view got prettier around the lake just as we ordered a dessert. I would recommend the Lemon Meringue Tart. It was light and bursting with flavor. I was also presented with a small chocolate cake for my birthday. It was very rich. The service was constant but not overbearing. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Visiting SW Steakhouse continued our streak of excellent meals at the Wynn/Encore over the years. Dinner for four with tip (including alcohol) $1400.00 NOTE: Ask to sit outside.

Spectacular!

By PMc |

Outstanding from start to finish! Blown away by every detail! Staff superb, entertainment outstanding and the food spectacular. Crab cakes deserve a special mention. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for and this place is worth every penny! Thanks guys, we will be back when next in Vegas!

SPECTACULAR!

By Angie A |

SW steakhouse is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food amazing, I highly recommend the domestic wagyu, the jumbo bone marrow as an entree is delicious and quite a show. The restaurant is beautiful. But the service is equally as good as the food. Both Fide and Alessandro took great care of me and my family. We will gladly come back every time I come to Vegas!

Terrible expirience al SW Las Vegas

By SALOMON S |

Terrible service! The staff are very rude and they don’t even think about giving your requests a thought even though you make requests a month in advance. Definitely do not recommend! There are a lot better restaurants to dine at in Las Vegas!

Saw the face of God and it was Kobe Beef

By Jacob D |

Absolutely incredible meal of steak and wine. Not cheap, but you get every penny and then some between the quality of the food and the top notch service

Good food but over crowded, noisy and rushed

By davidd2000 |

This was a booking for a Birthday made months in advance. The food was plentiful, tasty and very well presented. What let it down were a few very minor things but when you are paying for a premium Las Vegas restaurant you don’t expect any faults. Whilst eating our starters as a group of 4, once 3 of us had finished, our plates were cleared away whilst the 4th of our party was still eating making us feel somewhat rushed-even in lower class restaurants this doesn’t happen so if left us all a bit bemused. When our sides were given to us, one was missing which took some time to bring out so we suspect it had been missed. Finally, the thing that really let it down was how crowded and noisy it was. It was insanely noisy, you couldn’t really talk at the table without shouting and it just got louder and louder as the night went on. I wouldn’t return here despite the food being very nice.

Incredible Steakhouse with a view

By Hairycalgrad |

We stayed at the Wynn for 5 nights for my Fiancé's birthday trip and luckily we made reservations well in advance for this and other Wynn restaurants. Absolutely everything was perfect and this restaurant is so beautiful. We had an early 6:00pm reservation and part way through our meal they opened up the sliding floor to ceiling windows that let in a nice breeze and the sound of the amazing waterfall. The bread was amazing, the boneless rib eye steaks were incredible, and we absolutely love the black truffle creamed corn. The potatoes au gratin were very good also. The service was top notch, we did not have to wait for anything. Just an absolutely fabulous dining experience.

Yummy fries :3

By Frine_dining |

Yummy fries!!! Pretty yummers if you want that epic steak house experience. I recommend the fries. The lobster tots were good too, but they don't compare to the traditional cuisine of French fries

Incredible

By pelsta2047 |

Amazing!!! Returned for an anniversary meal with my wife. Was looked after by the staff and the setting and food was incredible. Absolute value for money and can’t wait to go back!!!

Great Al Fresco Dining

By Will H |

A pricey, upscale steakhouse that compares favorably with the best of them. If i had to single out one thing that makes it exceptional, though, it’s the ambiance of the outdoor dining. The location is actually below street level, and although close to the cacophony of the strip, it seems like a world away, what with the pond/lake and waterfall that separates the property from Las Vegas Blvd. By the time the restaurant opens the outdoor seating is pretty much all in the shade, and pleasantly warm. Service is great as well.

100% Best Steak Restaurant in Las Vegas

By Scott Doig |

100% Best restaurant in Las Vegas. Staff were excellent, very knowledgeable especially the gentleman that recommended our wine. Lovely seat outside over the Lake of Dreams. Food was the best I have ever had, steak was cooked to perfection. We shared the Chateaubriand. Thank you again for my Birthday desert, complimentary from management of the restaurant. Made our week in Las Vegas!! Restaurant is well worth the money, please do not listen to the negative reviews, absolute perfection.

Incredible service, wonderful food and a crazy fun evening

By Terri L |

We requested a patio table and were pleased to be accommodated. The setting is lovely with a view of the Wynn 'lake' and the show. Our servers were impeccable, friendly and clearly work as a team in that we were never without an offer of assistance, beverages or anything. It wasn't intrusive and they never interrupted our conversation. When the rain turned into wind and lightening the staff moved the first few rows of patio parties into the restaurant and magically found a place for them all to complete their dinners. We were under a bit more shelter and thought we'd be able to finish out our dinner in place, but the rain turned to a monsoon and the patio began to flood (not a poor design by the hotel, but this was national news making rain.) They moved the last few folks into the already busy restaurant and found us a perfect table for the remainder of our meal. It must have been extremely stressful for the staff, but no one let on. The food was spectacular, the wine list was mind blowing, the desert offerings were sparce, but were amazing. The crème brule was the best I’ve ever had. The website lists a dress code requirement for pants for gentlemen and it was not being enforced, which is fine, but caused a bit of an issue with the young persons in our group. It’s not Seattle, so if you’re going to drop $500+ on dinner, put on pants.

A Las Vegas staple you must experience!

By Mgmecu99 |

We have been eating here for years and years at this point - it is, by far, our favorite steakhouse in Vegas (and on the West Coast, overall). It is an absolute must do each time we are in Vegas, several times every year. It goes without saying that the steaks are out of this world phenomenal! And the outstanding supporting cast of yummy appetizers, sides, seafood, and dessert (hello funnel cakes and creme brûlée), are always expertly prepared — kudos to the chef and all of the kitchen staff). In addition to the amazing food, we also always request to sit in Chris’ section. He’s been there for as long as we can remember, and he is just amazing (as are all of the SW staff!). He’s fun, engaging, friendly, professional and just an all around amazing server! These days, we even briefly chat about Raiders football (and their many shortcomings!) with him, John, and various other awesome team members, and really can’t imagine SW without him and this wonderful team. The SW experience is a highlight of our Vegas trips. The service and food are simply flawless. If you’re in town, take an evening to have a superb steak at SW - you will not regret it! And hopefully you, too, will have the privilege of sitting in Chris’ section!

Great but SO expensive

By KatieTags |

The menu at this restaurant was great from the appetizers through the dessert, but it was so incredibly pricey. We saw another couple get seated and then after looking at the menu get up and leave. My husband and I only had one round of drinks with dinner, and after eat having a salad we shared an entrée because they were all just so expensive. We didn’t stay for dessert because we knew we could get something sweet for a lot less money elsewhere. Great quality food and service — but I’m not sure it was that much better than other places in Vegas to justify such a higher price.

Always my favorite!

By Patricia P |

One of the best restaurants in Las Vegas! We always have excellent service and the best food. Server went out of his way to bring me a tiny dessert tower for my birthday. Always sit outside to watch the evening shows at the Lake of Dreams. Have drinks at Parasol Down first. Awesome birthday date night!

THEY RUINED THE BREAD SERVICE

By TRVLtruth |

Love EVERYTHING about SW Steakhouse… but the new (and amazing) chef ruined the most amazing bread service in all of Wynn! Gone are the baguettes, the pretzel bread fingers and the focaccia… what’s left? A rich, greasy, round brioche loaf that’s like a chain steak house! Sorry Wynn… this is a step backwards.

Save your money - anmy other good steakhouses in town

By MuyFun |

The filet mignon was so bad I sent it back for a refund. Burnt and tough meat. I ate my wife's chicken instead. A real disappointment for a "steakhouse"

Disappointed

By zmehree11 |

My steak was supposed to be well done but it was not definitely well done, when I brought it up nothing much was done, it was my birthday and I’m a local I thought at least for the inconvenience they would comp the birthday cake! But not really! It’s a nice ambience but that’s about it, I could have better food for half the cost !

Awesome Steakhouse

By Dan R |

It was a perfect evening. We had dinner at SW before the Lionel Richie concert. My wife stated it was the best filet she ever had. The atmosphere in the outside area was great and the service by Amanda and staff was impeccable. Highly recommend

First Time Visit=Success :)

Wow! Just an absolute fantastic restuarant! Food was outstanding and service was A++. Atmosphere was so nice. We ate near the open waterfall type thingy and could see it. A table out there would be great. Highly recommend!

Outstanding steaks and service in a beautiful setting

By Stephanie P |

We have dined here many, many times over the years when we have stayed at the Wynn and Encore. We were at a conference at the Venetian and wanted to take our coworker here as it was very memorable for her when we brought her here last time. Our experience was a fantastic one with excellent service from the AGM, Mehdi El Houini, as well as the servers Tyler and Shannon. They were checking on us continually, and Mehdi made sure we had everything we needed for a truly outstanding dining experience. Our steaks were just how we ordered them (my blue cheese crust was on point on my filet) and the sides were delicious as well. They have changed up the menu a bit since our last visit; we had the butternut squash and also the layered potato. Both were enjoyable with our steaks. That pretzel bread is also to die for....The dessert was amazing, and we sincerely thank you all for your wonderful hospitality and service. We will be back again when we visit Vegas - thank you so much!

Just Fantastic! 5 Stars

By Jeff F |

So to begin, we planned to spend some $$ at dinner and SW will require that. However, at the end of the night we did not mind at all. The atmosphere is great, the service was spot on, and the food was just outstanding. We started with the Ossetra Caviar then moved onto the short rib ravioli and chopped salad for starters. For the main course my wife had the Filet and I had the Snake River Farms US Wagyu New York Strip. I have to say that the US Wagyu Strip was just amazing. Being from TX, I appreciate a great steak, and this was spectacular. We wrapped up the night by splitting the Creme Brulee and it was great. Lastly, I brought my own bottle of Barolo and just paid the $50 corkage fee (Standard for Vegas). If you have a favorite in your cellar, this is a great alternative to having to pay the typical mark up. However, be aware that you can only bring wine that is not carried on the restaurant wine list so check before you go. All in all just a lovely evening and we will definitely return during our next visit to Vegas.

EAT the STEAK!

By Rose |

For a prestigious steakhouse, it's embarrassing to write such a review. The wait staff is efficient and did allow for us to enjoy our cocktails. We ordered fish and I could smell it before it was put before me. I took one tiny taste and removed it. It was spoiled. How could a chef not be aware of this??? They took it back and we shared a steak. My bad as it is a steakhouse. It was excellent. The salads were to have beets. There were few. It should have had a few nuts to add to the texture. I was underwhelmed and upset.

Another great meal

By Chriscarlspencer |

We entertained our friends who were on their first visit to Vegas. They were mesmerized by the show quips, the signature cocktails and the abundance of sides and tasty entrees. My butter poached lobster was exquisite. Service as always was excellent and sitting on the patio was key

Great food, but because of the NOISY atmosphere , don't plan on carrying on a conversation

By BillyTraveler |

We loved the food, but the noise level from the "background recorded music", plus the number of diners talking made table conversation next to impossible. We arrived early and were among the first seated when they opened at 5:30pm. Perhaps try sitting on the patio, but even out there I think they have musical effects for the waterfall.

Just Perfect

By jesse62 |

This was our first stop after checking in to our hotel. My daughter and I sat outside and the ambiance was beautiful. Food was exceptional. Anyone who can make a kale salad taste good gets my vote. We also had the filet and mac and cheese and dessert. Pretzel bread great. Truly the best part was the customer service. We had the kindest, warmest red bearded waiter, sorry I don’t have his name. The hostess stand was helpful and gave my daughter a jacket. Even water fillers were smiling and made us feel comfortable. Thank you SW for making our first night in Vegas so special

OVERRATED

By Menchie |

Not what we expected!! I ordered sea bass it was thin and bland nothing to rave about, it was barely edible, my partner ordered a steak, it was tough, and all you get is a steak on a plate, the service was excellent, that’s about all that was good

4 Stars! But.....

By L N |

The SW steakhouse is very good. BUT if you are going to see the new $14 million dollar water show, don’t bother. For my money The Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio was much better with a very fine meal and the show was 100 times better. Don’t get me wrong, SW steakhouse was very good if you don’t mind $65 and up for the cheapest steak. We actually had the Châteaubriand for 2 at $155 and it was delicious. The service was excellent and our outside table near the water was very comfortable. We had the most affordable wine on the extensive list, a $90 Pinot Noir from Maggy Hawk that was good. We also enjoyed the shrimp cocktail appetizer and the gnocchi and mushrooms as sides. BUT the reason we went was too see the “much talked about Water Show”. Spoiler Alert....it was cheesy, and disappointing. I was not expecting to see an anamatronic frog sing Sinatra. Or 2 balls sing a duet. In conclusion a tacky show with a very good but pricey meal. One bottle of wine and a round of drinks, one dessert shared, tax and tip almost $600. I warned you.

Great Steakhouse

By semihalsaid |

SW Steakhouse inside Wynn Las Vegas has a trendy vibe and a cool atmosphere serving great food. While the service is attentive it is a bit slow therefore you have to be a little patient. The bread served, the steak and the side dishes were great. We accompanied our dinner with a lovely red wine from DeLille cellars, Cabernet Sauvignon Four Flags 2019. Prices on the high side but worth the experience.

Beautiful place, delicious food

By Juliana J |

This is a beautiful place inside the gorgeous Wynn Hotel. Great food, nice place for fine dinning. Seating outside gives you a first row seat to the show in the waters that happen from time to time. The service was not at their best at the night we went with 3 other couples. Actually the waiter was quite unpleasant when one of the friends mentioned they were on a sugar free diet. Hopefully it will be better in the next time, if I choose to give it another try in a future trip.

Wonderful food and excellent service !

By Matthias G |

Great food, extremely professional and friendly servers in a just breathtaking atmosphere with wonderful and tasteful dinner show/entertainment. Every 30 minutes an about 3 minutes entertainment theme which is just breathtaking.

Very expensive but worth it!

By Dana C |

We had a great meal here! We were sat outside with a beautiful view! The food and the ambience was divine and we had the most amazing steak with good wine! It was pricey but worth it!

for the money, go somewhere else

By susboy |

overall - if you want to impress somebody by spending a lot of money you can go here, however the quality of the food is not commensurate with the prices. in particular for my experience: 1: i made a reservation for the patio a week in advance. the person who took the reservation did not advise what i was informed in a text message upon confirming the reservation: that sw does not take "reservations" for patio seating. according to sw they take "requests" for patio seating and they are not guaranteed. when my party arrived the hostess has no note of a patio request - so we were not seated on the patio. a few minutes after we were seated i saw a party of four (the same size as mine) departing a patio and a new party of 4 was then seated on the patio. so the question is on what basis are parties seated on the patio: first come - first serve ? tipping the hostess? 2: ordered a $135 10 oz. new york strip, medium rare from the wagyu steak section. charred on the ouside, well done through most of it, rare in a small portion of the center. maybe these steaks cook differently than a regular steak but there was not a gradual degree of done ness from outside to inside. 3: ordered a side dish of maine lobster sardinian gnocchi, $29.00. i think the lobster walked past this dish and waved hello because i did not taste or feel any lobster, tasted like a lot of cream had been used. 4: for desert i ordered the banana cream pie, $20.00. the crust was hard as a rock, difficult to break through using only a fork. neither the banana nor the cream was mixed together but instead seperate. the banana portion was about 2-3 oz. as was the cream. technically this could be called a pie but most people whould consider it a tart. 5: one of my guests only had a bowl of onion soup. myself and one other guest had the same steak, the other the salmon. no one ordered cocktails and i was the only one to order desert. bill: $597.00. i tipped $103. total: $700.00 like i said if you want to impress your guests by spending a lot of money you can go here. if you want a good meal i suggest you look somewhere else.

Expensive but good

By WhereintheUSisMikey |

This is a beautiful steakhouse that looks over the Lake of Dreams inside the Wynn Hotel. You start by going down a curved escalator to the Steakhouse which sits next to Lakeside Restaurant. The restaurant is gorgeous and very busy considering we got their at 9:45pm and this restaurant closes at 10. I had the Filet which runs about $74 but was very good and cooked to perfection. You must make a reservation but you can try and walk up but good luck with that especially on a Friday or Saturday night. There are a lot of good steakhouses in Vegas but this is one of the best.

Best Special Event Restaurant in Vegas....on the patio

By MLMRocksTravel |

This is one of the very best restaurants we have ever enjoyed....not only in Vegas but in the US. The restaurant opens 20 minutes before the first reservation so people may grab a drink and relax. The restaurant is pure class, and we were fortunate enough to have a table on the patio. This was the first time we had seen the Lake of Dreams show. It was good entertainment with dinner, but we all agreed we would not make a special trip to Wynn just to see it. However, this restaurant was so amazing....if we could afford it we would visit often. For a special occasion, it was so wonderful. We started with our server's recommendation of the Flaming Bone Marrow, most incredible appetizer, and well enjoyed with the comp bread delivered to every table. We greatly enjoyed the Wagyu ribeye, scallops and filet. 11/10 on each. The souffle dessert was amazing, as was the cheesecake. The gnocchi was also a star of the show. We would skip the bacon/potato pave as it was not great. We highly recommend this restaurant for all special events, if you can get a patio table.

Very fancy and romantic

By Megan M |

I have to say, I loved everything about this restaurant. We try to do one high end steak meal during every trip and we came here since we were staying at the Wynn. It was wonderful. The staff, the food, the atmosphere was perfect. You would take a sip of water and they were there to refill it. We sat outside, which was so nice. I was worried about being cold, but they have powerful heaters and I got a little too niwarm. We started with the bread and drinks. The bread was tasty and I ordered two of the Lake of dreams because it was good. My husband did not care for his whiskey sour though. The ribeyes and mac n cheese were cooked to perfection. I wish we could have tried dessert, but there was no way. Highly recommend!

Food was not high quality for the price

By FlipFlopGirl |

Went here because it’s rated high for food and experience. Service was good not great as the waiters want to turn over tables quickly. Wine list has wines priced beyond high, expect to pay $240 for a bottle of wine. Bone marrow was okay not much taste for the presentation. Crab soup chowder was good. The ribeye was tasteless. Potatoes were good. Wild mushrooms were tasteless as well. The dining area gets pretty loud when crowded. Ask for a table with a view to the outside, but not if loudness is not your thing.

burnt and overcooked steak

By Jesse |

Ordered the steak medium rare and it came out looking like this...it looked and tasted like medium well. Worse of all, it is burnt on the outside. The steak tasted bitter. The waiter said the color is due the the light... I'm not sure under what light would it be medium rare...crappy foods...not so good service. Would not go back ever. I went to Bellagio prime 2 days later. It is a much safer bet and ambience and foods are much more carefully prep and cook.

Food ok

By Maggie |

I visited here and made reservations in advance and requested a lakeside view unfortunately we were sitted near a large party in the main area with no view. I understand that not everyone can be seated Lakeside but it was literally just two of us and we would have been more than happy to wait if we had been given the option. Other than that the food was mediocre in my husband ordered medium-rare filet minon and it was definitely well done. I might come visit again and give it a second chance and let them know that I will wait for the view and maybe order something else.

A Big Let Down

By 533alejandroh |

Was so looking forward to a upscale Birthday dinner. My ribeye steak was super dry overcooked. Our server maybe was new young guy never even told us his name was, did not seem to care we were another face in crowd to him. Simple things like taking bread tray and asking if we wanted anymore as other wait staff were doing.could of gotten same service at any average restaurant Not what expected from the Wynn wouldn't go back

Incredible Meal

By Daniel D |

This was by far the best food I’ve had in Vegas. Was seated outside with a beautiful view overlooking the lake and waterfall. My salad and gnocchi were both simply divine. Finished off the night with an espresso martini which was so good. The service here is top-notch. Even for non-meat eaters like myself, I would highly highly recommend this place. Worth every dollar.

A+ for SW

By Sugarfoodie |

We loved this meal. It was worthy of its reputation. Katy and Edward took extremely good care of us-they were total pros-and knew the menu. Our reservation was early so we enjoyed the ambiance with the light in the gorgeous space. We ordered a filet mignon, New York strip, Maryland crab cakes, jumbo chilled shrimp, Mac and cheese ( amazing) and baby roasted cauliflower( I was not expecting the cauliflower buds to be so tiny-delicious nonetheless). For desert we had chocolate ice cream ( we got three scoops!) and crème brûlée (superb-served with berries, little short bread cookies and fresh flowers). The steaks were delicious, though I had asked for medium well- a tiny portion of my steak was too pink-but I overlooked it. The brioche pretzel bread that they serve in the beginning is unusual, but tasty and hot. The appetizers were both excellent-the chilled jumbo shrimp was served on a bed of ice. The Gin and Tonic was made to order with a choice of gin. Between the amazing service and delectable food-This was a lovely experience from start to finish.

Really disappointing

By Chloe |

Firstly, we arrived super early for our reservation as had requested a table outside. Lots of people who come in way after us was seated outside, we was then told there was no more tables outside. However, credit where it’s due, a worker then told us to wait at another table and eventually we was seated outside. The bread is lovely, best part of the meal. We had the short rib ravioli to start and it was cold, however we didn’t want to complain and we had already complained about the seating situ. We shared a steak and 2 sides for main. Steak was fine, cooked nicely, but again the sides were slightly warm at best. For desert we had the rocky road, again the brownie in the middle was stone cold. Had about 5 different waiters all night, had to ask where our drinks were twice after waiting 30+mins for two drinks. Maybe it was an off night but really disappointing and wish we had chosen a different steakhouse. Wouldn’t recommend

Fantastic ribeye!

By Claudia A |

Fantastic ribeye! Great outside seat with view of the waterfall. This place is special-you can’t go wrong!

Good meal

By Nodoor |

Great service. Very attentive. Steak was great, cooked perfect. Wedge salad was very good. The bacon side and lobster sides were just ok, not worth the extra money at all and that was the only disappointment. Good drinks. Hey, it’s a quality steakhouse. On par with Cut, Delmonico and Prime. I was expecting a level above those but not the case.

You get what you pay for

By Montana16 |

A most enjoyable meal. My wife had the Fillet which she requested medium well. Most steakhouses struggle to acheive this without it having to be returned, but here it came out right first time and she enjoyed it very much. My Dover Sole was cooked to perfection. Yes it is expensive but you're not going to dine here every night of your life so just enjoy it.

Disappointment at its finest

By alissa c |

This was one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas, but after my experience this past Friday I won't be back. We had reservations at 10 PM, that I had made 2 months prior to my trip where I requested patio seating. We were celebrating my wedding. Notes were made in the system as well. The night of, upon checking in for our reservations my elderly father and I were waiting in line to check in when a young, tough guy decided he wanted to cut in front of my dad. My father very politely told him the line was behind us and this very rude guy was in the mood to pick a fight. He kept saying he was there to See his friend who is the GM Elion And that we were nobodies. He kept going at it when we told him how were we supposed to know you're friends with him. To my surprise the GM was standing there the entire time and waited until the altercation was over to talk to his friend. The entire time he was right in front of us. No apology on his part, instead when it was our turn to check in with him we were met with attitude. He was condescending and stereotypical. This entire interaction put a very bad taste in my mouth with SW. Our patio seating, was in a busy corner where servers were walking behind us and All around us to attend other tables as there's barely any moving room. The food was mediocre, at best. The scallops were tasteless. I could have gone to Red Lobster. The best part of the meal was the bread, as always. Sad to say from this point on I will not be taking my business to SW. This used to be the spot for all of my friends and family- but not anymore. Not only did this ruin my wedding day, but it ruined the "wonderful experience" SW was supposed to be for my parents first time there. SW should do something about The GM Elion. Taking care of paying customers should be the priority, not his friends.

Best Meal in Las Vegas

By Wanda R |

Once again, SW Steakhouse did not disappoint. When I know I'm taking a trip to Las Vegas the second thing I do after plane reservations is make a reservation for dinner. The food, service and drinks are so good, we dream about them, especially the Truffle Creamed Sweet Corn. Next time I think we'll each have our own order, as we fight over who gets the last spoonful. I can't wait to go back.

GLUTEN FREE & CELIAC? NO PROBLEM - ONE OF THE BEST MEALS I HAVE HAD!

By Bask821 |

THE BEST FOR GLUTEN FREE/CELIAC! I ate at SW in April 2024. While I was at a dinner for about 20 which had an abbreviated initial menu to choose from (off the SW menu), the extent to which the manager and staff at SW Steakhouse went to make sure I had a safe, gluten free were nothing short of remarkable. Each time food was brought to the table, either a member of the waitstaff or the manager individually told me what was on the plate and certified it was gluten free. Where to start? There was a seafood tower which was 100% gf and I had an excellent caesar which they easily made GF. FRESH gluten free rolls were brought out for me. They had to be made in house as I know a gf roll out of a plastic bag when I see one. I also had an amazing salmon with whipped potatoes, side of mushrooms and terrific veggies. While I could not have the cake dessert item which was on the menu, I was brought out an in-house made raspberry sorbet and whipped cream which everyone wanted. May have been the best ever. Of course, the steaks are all gluten free. The ongoing show on Lake of Dreams made for an even more enjoyable evening. Cannot wait to return when I am at the Encore next month.

Steak and service perfect together!

By Donald H |

Our dining experience at the SW in the Wynn Resort was exceptional in both food and service. Our sommelier kept our glasses full with a few half bottles that we enjoyed. Our dinner included a Red and Yellow Baby Beet Salad, a classic Iceberg salad, Dover Sole and a Prime NY Strip Steak. All dished were delicious and served at the proper temperatures. We did not have side dishes as we never finish them. A shared dessert of “Rocky Road “ was also presented beautifully and delicious. One word of advise, if you have planned to see the Lake of Dreams show during dinner, it probably won’t happen. There are only so many tables in this restaurant where you can see it from. You can watch the show before or after dinner from one of three terrace viewing areas. Service was paced nicely. We look forward to the Covid protocols going away so that the tables can be set and we can see our waitstaff. Thanks to both front and back of the house at SW for a great evening.

nice dinning experience, but...

By sspc |

we arrived early for dinner, 6pm and the restaurant was lovely. Practically empty, the hostess and waitstaff was good. We had a nice table facing the fountain and our foor was good. the issue for us is as the night progressed, it became more crowded and the music piped in was club music, "Madonna" and the lake show was dreadful. Sonny and Cher I got You Babe karaoke style. So tacky and beneath what I thought was a classy establishment. the change in atmosphere ruined the expereince for us. Once we dinned a couple of years back at Lakeside and the water show was elegant and tasteful. there was a baloon balet and a huge frog signing a Louis Armstrong tune. Just the opposite of tonights experience.

Best dinner we have ever had

By laurel w |

My (new!) husband and I went here for dinner the night we got married! Our server, Tyler, was so amazing! The entire waitstaff and bar staff made the whole experience so special for us! Would recommend to anyone looking for an awesome atmosphere and phenomenal food!!!

Lake of dreams show makes this special 💫

By Adam and Jay |

My Husband & my parents dined here on the evening of our wedding. It is the best steak is Vegas & the lake of dreams really sets this place apart 💫 you must request to be seated on the balcony otherwise your view of the show is restricted. 10/10

A+ Food and service!!!

By Billy Shoemaker |

We always stay at Wynn and SW is an amazing streak joint! Not only is the food and ambiance amazing but their service is also stellar. I always order the Oscar style fillet and you can never go wrong with that. Mental note - servers in Vegas reply solely on tips so to feed their families so if you can't afford 20%, it may be best for everyone if you avoid nice places like this :)

Wagyu!

By Ro L |

We came here after our dinner at Guy Savoy the night before where we also had wagyu from Japan. Real wagyu comes from Japan. Been to Japan and had wagyu at a 3 Michelin Star restaurant. Although the wagyu here at SW Steakhouse is not from Japan, I must say it was delicious. Less fat and my personal preference. 5A5 Steakhouse in San Francisco do have 100% wagyu from Japan that comes with an actual certificate (dined here several times - see my reviews). We ordered the 4iz 4 different types of steak that included wagyu. It was delicious but small in portion.

Please improve your menu and cut down on Salt

By GezenBey |

Not the best experience unfortunately, seating was excellent outside but food not so. Wife ordered onion soup that had to be sent back as it was inedible server boasted on about chopped salad so we ordered that and exactly as described it was salad that was chopped. Not sure why we expected something special. Main course for my wife was chicken which was nice but there was so much of it question needs to be asked why server pushed us to also order sides too. My crab cake was nice but steak ‘fillet mignon grass fed” was over seasoned and half was left on the plate and no questions asked by server as to why. Also sides were way too much and also left . We tried most restaurants at Best in Class Hotel Wynn . Wing Lei is absolutely perfect specially on service . Wish I could have said same of SW.

Go to dons prime instead

By CDM T |

Really nothing special. Despite the nice water view the food was meh steak was tough and deserts were average. $$$$ but food was $$. Now even though I have had bad experiences at the Fountainbleau hotel , Dons prime has been amazing - eaten there several times … and unlike some places that go down in quality Dons prime keeps improving its stellar steaks … I dunno how this is possible but it true.

Not going back

By che865 |

Service was not friendly or helpful. Lobster ordered was served cold. Would not go back. Stuck way back in a corner and could not see the lake of dreams. Go somewhere else for a fine dining experience.

Great experience visit. Lots of 100+$ steak options

By WoodmereKid |

Great view, great service, great steaks. Very pricey, but a great experience. Sometimes I wonder how great a steak can get. Had a great New York strip, wife had filet. Both were great…but not life changing. This spot is about the experience as a whole. Service is really standout.

Great dinner experience

By Harry_Tati |

We were given a wonderful table on the terrace, which we can highly recommend. Do everything you can to get one. The atmosphere is wonderful, and when it gets dark, you can see the impressive Light Show every half hour. Every course of the dinner was delicious. We had various starters and filet mignon for the main course. As discerning steak eaters, we had absolutely nothing to complain about—it was simply perfect. The service was also attentive and friendly throughout. It was an all-round successful evening at SW Steakhouse, which we highly recommend.

Not Good for Vegans

By Jenn |

I ate at SW in the Wynn today based on reviews that mentioned a vegan menu even a vegan tasting option. Upon arrival tonight they not only didn’t have a vegan menu the only thing they could offer me was an expensive salad that was 98% plain lettuce mixed with mustard and some overpriced mashed potatoes or french fries. Our bill for 2 people was $150. I couldn’t even finish the salad because how much plain lettuce can you eat. I left hungry. Not recommended.

Hmmm…

By henri l |

My expectations were high for my first time visit. I have frequented several steakhouses in Vegas in the past. My own personal favorites have been Hugo’s Cellar, Vic and Anthony’s at the Golden Nugget and the now closed Brown Derby at the MGM. Outside of Vegas, my comparisons would include Pappas Steakhouse, Vic and Anthony’s, Capital Grill, Del Friscos, and Bob’s Steak and Chop House to name a few. This visit was disappointing. I tried the bone marrow appetizer which was good but not what I expected. Adding lots of butter to this delicacy makes it too rich and takes away from the flavor. This unique dish is big in Paris and it is also served in the bone; however, the Parisian version generally appears as a spread containing a bit of mustard; it is served with crispy toast points. The Mexican version of this dish is marrow with a bit of spice - either salsa or just a sprinkling of peppers. The Mexican version is served with tortillas. I would serve it with toasty Pita. La Fogata in Mission, Texas serves a similar version of bone marrow but theirs has just the right amount of butter. The signature crab cakes were a big disappointment to the entire table. They had a strong fish taste and were not flavorful. The best crab cakes are generally found at Hillstone, Del Friscos or Neiman Marcus Mariposa Room. All was not bad, the braised short rib was perfect and tender; it left you wanting more of it. I was surprised that bread was not served. Service was beyond excellent as is the ambiance and view of the lake.

Very Good Steakhouse

By TrueKCRoyalsFan |

This was our first time dining at SW as it has been on our list for some time. We both had the all natural filet. They were cooked maybe slightly under medium as we had asked, but it was not a big deal. We both did additions to our steak. I did the smoked blue cheese crust while my wife got the truffle butter. The flavors were definitely good with our steaks. We had the king crab and artichoke gratin as a side. It comes with some toasted pita bread. This side was delicious. I could’ve ate the whole thing by myself. We also had the broccoli side which was average, not great or terrible. You also get some pretzel bread with lemon pepper type butter for the table. It was very good. We did not get any desserts due to being underwhelmed by what was on the menu. Overall, I would go back to SW and I would recommend it. I will say it is probably not in my top three of fine dining restaurants I’ve experienced in Las Vegas though.

10/10 - No complaints whatsoever.

By Lisa |

Visited SW Steakhouse this week with another couple for dinner. We did book a couple of weeks in advance and requested the patio area (I believe this only a request and not a guarantee) but we got lucky. The ambiance was perfect, very chilled and relaxed and the service from start to finish was exceptional. The food was absolutely beautiful, and although there was not a huge selection for the vegetarians out there, I found both the soup and the rigatoni options offered to be equally as amazing. The rest of the group had both seafood and steak dishes, which were cooked to perfection with zero complaints. We’ve tried a few quality restaurants in Las Vegas over the years, but I would 100% go back here if I returned. 10/10 - request a reservation asap.

Great Service, but Very Noisy. Food good, but not great.

By AMonique S |

We had a reservation for SW and requested outdoor table, but unfortunately due to earlier thunderstorms, they were not seating outdoors, so we were fine with indoor dining. It seemed as though due to the weather, the restaurant was over capacity. We felt squished into a corner area. There were plenty of servers and they were all great, but unfortunately the amount of people in the restaurant, made it loud and noisy, we had to talk very loudly to each other the entire time. This definitely took away from our experience while dining here. We ordered, crab cakes as appetizers and ribeye and mushrooms as main course. crab cakes were good, but not great. My husband loved the steak, and I loved the mushrooms. The best part of our meal was the amazing Crème Brûlée, define the best! When we return I would only go back, but only if we could get outdoor dining it was way too loud being seated indoors.

A touch average…

By TPage |

Ty is was probably the most expensive meal we had in Vegas during our recent 5 night trip. I wish I could say it was the tastiest, but it was just all a bit average to be fair. Now average is fine if you’re not paying the world for it. But the prices they charge, you should expect something special! We ordered the steak and it was cooked as we requested. The service was good! We had two members of staff waiting our table. Both were attentive. The thing that annoyed me the most was our seating. We arrived on time for our reservation, but our table wasn’t ready. After 15 minutes they said that they had a table inside that was available (I could see at least 10 tables all ready and had been for the 15 minutes that I stood waiting). We asked if there was any table outside so we could see the dancing frog show. They said it would be a longer wait. We had already waited 15 minutes so thought we might as well see it out now. There was a nice table available right at the front by the water. Sadly we were taken to a table around the corner where you couldn’t see the water at all. We didn’t get to see the show, but we could hear it. It get a bit like being sat in the economy section of a plane and watching all the first class and business class passengers enjoy their fancy meal whilst you’re eating the chicken and rice that has been nuked in the microwave. It was a real shame that we didn’t get to see the show. Would I return… no chance. Would I recommend a visit… sure, hopefully you’ll get better luck with the seating than I did!

Very bad table position

By Lorraine H |

Our first visit and did not know we needed to specify a table with a view..we were out on a service table that was knocked by staff and public in the public walk way to and from tables tFo bathroom and waiting clients. Good was good and the service was good, but the whole experience as ruined by the constant noise and bumping on the chairs .. very pricey for the bad exoerince

Best birthday meal!!

By Becky M |

The services was excellent, from front of house (big shout out to Alex!) to the servers, everyone was friendly and attentive but not too much! The food was unreal, the best steak we’ve ever had and they even brought me out a special birthday dessert which was really lovely!!

Best service and Drinks! Food is 5 star ⭐️

By AngieLanders |

Arrived in Vegas and without a reservation we stumbled across SW. We ended up eating at the bar and wow what a treat that was. First of all the service is outstanding. Al was our bartender and server and took such special care of us. We left friends. I would go back just to see him and have one of his Old Fashioned specialities! However, the food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The bread service and salad were fresh and delicious. The king crab is a bit of a splurge but we tried on Al’s recommendation, along with a steak. It was one of those meals that you want to devour but try to take your time, so the goodness doesn’t end. We will be back, perhaps even on this trip.

Great times, great venue, great meal, excellent service An absolute must do We miss timed the dinner due to a concert and missed out on the dinner show over the water Had the 12 oz fillet with rogue blue cheese The mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts as sides all were excellent Then a trio of deserts, carrot cake, funnel cakes, and chocolate one that was a birthday surprise We got a kick out of the purse chairs that were used for our table

SW Steak was nearly perfect.

By Keith L |

Overall we enjoyed our meal at SW Steak. The jumbo prawns with a spicy sauce was excellent. Our steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly but maybe slightly over seasoned for our taste, a minor criticism. The service was excellent and a lively atmosphere does make for a good evening meal.

Went to have an experience and SW did NOT disappoint!

By Daniel B |

I went for the Japanese A5 wagyu and ended up getting so much more! This was a celebratory dinner so money was really not the object of my visit. I ordered 8 ounces of the Wagyu and it was amazing, but to my surprise the chef selected off menu 32 ounce dry aged tomahawk was what made the night! And believe it or not we actually had some thing that blew us away that was not even that special apparently, the cream corn! Everyone of the table could not believe how good it was. The service was absolutely amazing. We originally had a table reserved on the terrace but it had rained. Once the rain subsided our serving crew had prepared us a table outside meeting sure everything was dry, and they asked if we wanted to move outside to watch the show. This was amazing. I had a very good server who made some amazing selections of wine, and the coffee and cream Brulé at the end were truly amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for an amazing experience!

Great place for a special occasion

By Cindy S |

Our first time at SW and we were impressed. The food and service were outstanding. We sat at a table on the patio so we could watch the Lake of Dreams show while we dined which added to the experience. We would definitely return.

Still One of the Best Steakhouses in Vegas

By TOURtheWORLDMexPal |

Food: you go there for the steak, you will never be disappointed - Appetizers: The Roasted Bone Marrow (special of the day), will be served “Flintstone’s Style”, extra huge, but well roasted (mostly) and delicious. But, extremely heavy. Good to share. The short rib ravioli is amazing. Small portion of 5 is sufficient The SW chop salad very refreshing and unique. - Entrée/main dishes: pick your cut and your preferred temperature, and you will be happy. We tried the File Mignon, which is perfect. The Japanese Waygu “Kobe” is excellent, very fatty and mildly chewy. A side of Potato purée is wonderful. The add on of Smoked bacon is humongous (a meal by itself), excellent though - Desserts: The sorbets are always excellent to end a heavy meal. Drinks: The wine list is extensive, and of-course the majority of selection is expensive. Good luck finding well rated vintage less than $200 Service: Very attentive, very observant staff and very accommodating. One of the main waiters due to his seniority and knowledge, you may find him little bit snobby (please Christopher “Chris” pay attention to your attitude) but all other staff are wonderful. The sommeliers are very helpful. Ask them for a nice bottle of wine with your price range. They will steer you the right direction (thank you Somm Nicholas). Ambience/atmosphere: very crowded and you will see people from all walks of life …. The outside water/screen feature is excellent setting not like other steakhouses where it is dark and gloomy. Value: you will definitely pay the price of an excellent experience Overall rating! 5 out of 5 all the way Recommendations: our all time favorite steakhouse

Great Fine Dining Experience

Been here a couple times. Both times were excellent. Service was really good… it was clear they have a team approach. Food amazing as well.

Traveling alone try the bar at SW steakhouse in the Wynn

By Brian P |

Had an awesome meal at the bar at SW. I’d highly recommend sitting at the bar as Lorena and the staff were great. Everything was I ordered was excellent. Started with these cheese popovers, had a wedge style salad, NY strip with potato purée and cream spinach (get the half orders) and finished with a s’mores dessert. Yes I haven’t eaten since :) can’t wait to go back!

Carpaccio - becareful. ordering if you are looking for traditional dish. If you like mayo and parm... this is for you.

By Portia B |

Many good things - the onion, mushroom, brisket soup was outstanding. One HUGE miss for me was the carpaccio. I order this dish as I love thin slices of excellent raw meat. I was told by the waiter that there would be some paresan on the dish wihch is not unusual. What was awrul wa that the entire plate of meat was covered with a thin layer of mayonairs and the covered in parmesan. You could barely see the meat. I had to scrap it all off just to make it ecible. My friends loved their meat courses. - veal , tenderloin and strip. My dish was a sad miss.

Excellent resturant

Bella the hostess at SW was very helpful. From helping us with our reservation to making sure we got a nice table. The food was cook perfectly. The shows at the restaurant are super fun. Service was excellent. High recommend.

DISAPPOINTMENT

By Rose |

We were so disappointed. The waitress wouldn't leave us alone. After 10 trips to the table to ask about orders, I told her that "fine" dining usually allows for 2 hours per guest. There were also many empty tables. She couldn't have been more annoying or unprofessional. The shrimp as advertised were not JUMBO! We buy shrimp from Biloxi and I do know the difference. My daughter inquired about a fish on the menu and the waitress, yes waitress, didn't know what it was. She came back and said it was a white fish. Curious, how many white fish are there? Our salmon was totally well done which shouldn't happen, especially with skin-on. We never did see the lights on the waterfall, sadly. Usually, it began earlier. For the price, I doubt I'd return.

Best steak ever..and service to match!!

By Neil-from-Dallas |

One of the best steaks I've ever had and I've had alot of steaks! Both of us had the filets medium rare and they were cooked perfectly. We had shrimp cocktail and seafood soup, both of which were excellent. The cheese bread was very tasty and the augraten potatoes and the cream corn were excellent. Service was great as was rhe show. We will be back!

Disappointing This Time

By Patty B |

We were so anxious to return to SW after our spectacular meal in June. We were with friends who had never dined here before and were eager to go. We were seated at a not so great table, even though we made our reservation months before. Our server Ryan was OK, not nearly as good as I believe Brian who served us in June. We had two waiter but neither of them ever bothered to check back with us to see if we were pleased with our meals. If they had I would have exclaimed my supreme displeasure with the horrible octopus. We had it in June and it was succulent and delicious. In fact I had a photo of it and it looked nothing like the scrawny, mealy, tasteless one we were served. We did not have much interaction with anyone throughout the entire meal. No managers checking on customers and the waiters didn’t seem interested either. We had an expensive bottle of wine and entrees, but still no one seemed interested in us. We all had Dover Sole, 2 orders to share. It was good. My rating is for the subpar service and expensive octopus. I think 3 stars is generous

Great food, so so seevice

By Jeff B |

Had 5:30 reservations and was seated promptly at a table right in front of the waterfall. I had the filet and my wife had the lamb lion. But we’re delicious! After we finished our meal it took the servers over 10 minutes to remove our plates. Serval times a person came over to refill our water glasses while our plates still sat. Finally our waiter came over and had the plates removed and asked if we wanted any coffee or desert and we told him no. Took him about another 10 minutes to come back to the table and asked us again if we wanted anything and again we told him no and he finally brought the check to us. Was really disappointed with the service and it was mentioned to the hostess on the way out.

Used to be Great but now not so great

By RJJ6468 |

SW is our go to Steakhouse when visiting Vegas, however on the night of 1/19/24 it was not great. We have been five times over last 10-12 years and tell all of our friends it is the best in Vegas, not anymore. The prime ribeye was good as expected for $100, but the béarnaise was below par, lackluster without enough tang and tarragon. The service was just ok when in the past it has been great. Our waiter was good, but supporting help missing in action- water not refilled, butter not brought to table. Caesar salad was very average- simple chopped romaine, no culinary attention or inventiveness. There were a ton of staff available, but they were talking in groups and not paying attention to their customers. The pretzel brioche bread was good but not as good as their previous bread basket with assorted breads. Just seemed like it went downhill with not enough attention from manager and chef.

Amazing food and service

By 05johcha |

Amazing food and service, went here after our wedding and had a wonderful experience. Would recommend to anyone if you want a good food and service experience. Price wise as well we went here after we had also been hell's kitchen, this is so much better and cheaper!

Extremely Disappointing

By AltGol |

The restaurant had a deafening noise level. I expect a "high end" steakhouse to have more of a clubby atmosphere and not to have difficulty hearing my dining partner. Add some sound attenuation! At the SW website they stress proper attire, but quite a few folks were wearing T-shirts and even shorts. Not very classy for a supposedly high end place. Now for the steaks: both of us agreed that our steaks (filet and boneless ribeye) were good, but far from great or memorable. At those prices we were expecting something much, much better. We've had way better steakhouse experiences at half the price. Overall we were very disappointed and will not return.

Stressed waiters - food not worth it

By danykelly |

We came for a late-night meal, and unfortunately, the waiter was really stressed and came off quite rude. Additionally, the food was way to expensive fro the actual product. The waygu didn't melt in your mouth as waygu should, the chilled soup was lovely though as was the salad and potatoes. Maybe, next time I'd just get the sides and not worry about the steak! The one redeeming factor is the show in the water fountain. That is amazing! Would I come back - maybe, but it would be a hard sell!

Amazing! But needs dress code enforcement.

By wmichflyboy |

We just stumbled upon this restaurant and I’m sure glad we did! The staff is amazing, kind and courteous. The food was fantastic. The king crab soup really wasn’t anything special but everything else was great. Best scallops we have ever had. Crab cake was also the best. Edward was awesome and we hope to be served by him again. The only thing we didn’t like is that the dress code is not enforced and a couple got seated directly in front of us blocking our view and causing distractions. That was a big problem for us so I hope this gets fixed.

A Cut Above

By RPMCanes |

This place is utterly spectacular in every sense of the word. From the time of your first contact with the hosts, until the very last drop of wine is gone, everything is flawless. It offers probably the tastiest ribeye you can find anywhere, same thing for the potatoes. I sat at the bar this particular visit, and the staff is very lively and entertaining. Great experience all around.

Never make a reservation

By Moises A |

It's no use you making a reservation. I have booked at 8 pm and it's 8:45 pm and they still don't give me a table. It's amazing how they play with people. They'd better not take reservations and get people in as they go. Surely as always the food is great, but it's disrespectful what they do

WOW

By Limbert |

The whole experience was superb from start to finish. Service, drinks and steaks were outstanding. Thank you SW for a excellent evening.

Never will Go Again

By Jared C |

We are so upset and disappointed in this restaurant! We put in a request and asked for a waterfront spot months in advance, as well as called the morning of our reservation to make sure they saw it. I also reminded them when we got there and told them we would wait longer even if need be! Well we got seated at 8:25 our reservation was at 8, again didn’t care until we saw that the table they were about to sit us at was not right on the water. The staff were cleaning a table right on the water and we asked to wait for it and they said sorry that one is not available. Needless to say that table sat unoccupied the whole damn time we were there (1hour and 15minutes!). My wife and I were so upset we only ordered a bottle of wine and desert and skipped dinner. After we got the check a manager came and talked to us and told us that, the table next to us is usually held for guests of the GM, cause it is his personal favorite seat in the whole restaurant. But it’s luck of the draw if you get a table on the water, right?!! Well I’m sorry that me and wife’s anniversary is not special enough for you! This will be the only time we go to this location and I will make sure everyone knows that unless you are of some ‘importance’ not to even waste your time or money! It’s really unfortunate cause the waitress’ and waiters that we had were wonderful. The best part was just as we were about to leave they seated someone at that table because they made a scene. I guess that’s what we should have done in the beginning..ridiculous!!

BLANDNESS

By Edunbar3 |

A very disappointing evening of BLANDNESS… the martinis were warm and the appetizers were flavorless. The shishito peppers were over cooked and bland, the tuna was boring but the oysters were good burn it’s hard to ruin oysters for sure. All is our entrees were flavorless, the salmon was bland and the branzino was you guessed it bland… Our server Ryan was not helpful and had no personality whatsoever… Over a truly BLAND experience and if you are looking for a great steakhouse, you should try STK or Delmonico’s for sure!!!!

Wedding Night

By Jamie T |

What a fantastic meal, sat on the terrace in front of the Wynn Lake. I could hardly believe my eyes when a giant frog appeared from behind a waterfall and began to sing Frank Sinatras ‘New York New York’. A completely unique and one off experience. The service was great. The food was top quality and my wife and I still discuss the Pretzel Bread and being the best bread we have ever had. The steaks were so big we couldn’t eat them all! Being from the UK this restaurant is eye wateringly expensive but it was my wedding night so i didn’t care! I would love to come back again in a few years, maybe on a anniversary.

Happy but disappointed

By Christine D |

The food was absolutely amazing and the show was delightful! Our server was also as pleasant. The drawback was the atmosphere of loud noise and obnoxious intoxicated patrons. It very much dampened the experience for me. As for my friend, it didn’t bother her much. If you really want to enjoy this show and diner without that choose a date that is not peak time. We didn’t know it would have been this busy during this time

decent food and decent service in a nice atmosphere (with a show as well)

By 0504Traveller |

We were celebrating and decided to visit Vegas in October. We made a reservation at SW Steakhouse for one of the evenings and the overall experience was pleasant Food - the food was generally good. even though they are a steakhouse they have a vegetarian menu as well so everyone can select something. i was told their steaks were good and the veggie options were good as well - not as flavorful as i would like but still good. their bread was delicious service - service was alright. they did distance their tables and you didn’t see a crowd of staff or patrons in the walkway. but sometimes the staff could’ve been more present to check to ensure if all ok overall, decent food and decent service in a nice atmosphere (with a show as well)

Fun dinner at the lake of dreams

By MI |

SW steakhouse was a really cool experience. The most notable, and perhaps most popular, aspect of this restaurant is the lake of dreams show that plays every 30 minutes during dinner. The show uses a combination of lights, holograms, and animatronics which are choreographed to different songs throughout the night. The service was friendly but they were definitely more attentive to certain tables. Likely a little profiling going on to try and maximize tips. Food was good but not amazing. As you would expect, the prices are on the higher side for what you get but this is to be expected when dining at an upscale restaurant on the strip and was comparable to most other restaurants of the same level here. Overall good experience but not sure I’d go back. Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 3/5 Food: 4/5 Value: 3/5 Total: 3.75/5

Best Meal Of Our Trip

By Patty B |

The dinner at SW was the standout of our entire trip. Service was wonderful, the booth we had facing the outside so we could see the show was great as well. We started with an octopus appetizer which was enough for us to share. Their bread is some of the best. We also shared the dover sole, which came with mashed potatoes. the fish was sitting on the potatoes which was a nice presentation. For dessert we had chocolate ice cream. Our server was great, I think his name was Brian. We definitely would recommend SW. We are going back in October and already have a reservation to return.

Very Nice Steak house

By AmersM22 |

First of all I wish I could remember our waitresses name. She was excellent! All of the staff their was good and attenuative. We went with another couple, and sat near the back. I had 8oz tenderloin serve Oscar style. It was excellent! One of the better steaks I have ever had. Husband had the New York Strip and he said his was very good also. Side are sold separate and are big enough for 2 to 3 people. There were 4 of us so we got 3 sides, broccolini, Au Gratin Potatoes and Grilled Sweet Corn. All 3 were very good. Had the Brule for dessert. It is a expensive place to eat, but I think it was worth it. I would eat there again. Bill was a little over $300 for two people. They say there is a dress code and no kids under 5, but we saw kids there and some very very casual dressed people.

Simply stunning

By Paul B |

We were recommended this place by four of my contacts in the states. If you are looking for a high quality steakhouse then would highly recommend this place. Fantastic food, superb service and unbelievable wine list. It’s not cheap but definitely worth it.

Great show, atmosphere and service

By Christoph1987 |

Exceptional venue with a great show. The food was ok. The steak was not tender. We had the porterhouse and it was not well seasoned and also tough in chew. We had much better before. Also the tuna tataki couldve been seasoned better.

Our new favorite restaurant!

By Julie J |

Our new favorite restaurant in Vegas! The patio seating with light show and music was a very nice surprise! The service was outstanding and the food was delicious!!

Best Filet Mignon in Las Vegas

By wik c |

I live in Vegas and have dined many of the best fine dining restaurants and this one is by far the best! The Filet Mignon is the best I have had anywhere including NY and Europe. It is a beautiful restaurant and amazing staff. Everything we ordered was outstanding.

An elegant evening

By Fabreeze131 |

This place always impresses me, with favorable and delicious food. In order to enjoy the majority of the frog show, I'd make your reservations at 7:30 or 8 (they normally start the show around 8:30 and they go every 15 min), and get a seat out on the patio if you can. The bread (which resembled soft pretzels) was so yummy! I got the chicken, and it was ok. The sauce it came with was delicious. My husband's steak was huge, and it took him some time to finish. We share the scalloped potatoes and the creamed corn. Some of the best I ever had. I saw cookie butter cheesecake on their menu, and it was just as wonderful as it described. Would definitely come back.

Elegant splurge dinner that really lived up to the hype!

By DebBzAdventures |

SW Steakhouse was our big splurge meal for this Las Vegas trip, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The restaurant is tucked just off the casino at Wynn, so you’re close to the action, but the room itself feels calm, elegant, and never rushed. We made a reservation and were seated almost immediately upon arrival. We started with the Seafood Spectacular tower and an espresso martini – both were showstoppers. The presentation with the dry ice was gorgeous, and everything on the tower tasted incredibly fresh. The warm house bread with butter was simple but unforgettable. For mains, we shared steaks (including one of the Wagyu options), plus sides like the Brussels sprouts and truffle fries with sauces. Portions are generous enough to share, which helped make the overall cost feel more reasonable for a special-occasion meal. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Service was excellent from start to finish – attentive, professional, and friendly without being stuffy. Yes, it’s expensive, but if you plan to share a few dishes and treat it as your “big night out,” SW Steakhouse is absolutely worth it.

Excellent Steakhouse

By David S |

Had dinner there on 12/12 and it was outstanding. My wife and I both had steaks and they were cooked perfectly (my wife likes her steak well done which can be problematic). They will tell you the side dishes are for two and believe them. We had the parmesan creamed spinach and truffle parmesan fries. Both were delicious but there was no way we could finish either of them. Did not have a chance to sit outside due to the very cold weather. Will return in the future.

Great food and atmosphere

By Breckdog55 |

We had an incredible dinner at SW Steakhouse. Ryan and his team provided excellent service. The food was very good, we shared the porterhouse steak which was phenomenal. Great food and atmosphere.

A wonderful meal at Wynn!

By Donald H |

A wonderful meal at Wynn! Nice to dine in a restaurant that is very busy during these trying times. Wynn does a fantastic job with all of the Covid protocols, so you will feel very safe! Probably need a little more staff as service was very good, but disjointed. Enjoyed Maryland BlueCrabmeat Cake, Chop Salad, Roasted Loin of Lamb and Ribeye with Scalloped Potatoes. Wines are over the top expensive here, so choose wisely. Nice that they are featuring full menu ( all on QR code). Great patio outside even in 105 degrees! You will enjoy inside or outside dining.

SW was a superb experience!

By Daine C |

Outstanding!!! Everything was superb from service to decor to food. I looked at around 7-8 different steakhouse websites on the Vegas strip and chose the SW and so glad I did. Loved the restaurant design, friendly staff and waiters, and the steak and sides were amazing. The Wynn is beautiful!!!

Service was the worst we experienced in Vegas at every level

By Getbusyliving |

Service is dreadful. Front desk people were cold and rude. Our waitress has not interest in working—cold and rude again. The food was good, overpriced but food, but the service is what let this place down big time. Atmosphere is loud and cramped. Lakeside is a better option right next door or an even better option is Sinatra’s. If you do go here order a half sized portion of the salads. Was fairly surprised they charged for a birthday dessert as well but that’s to be expected the way everyone behaved.

World-Class, Service beyond your imagination, a very special meal?

By Calhoun131 |

For our last night in Las Vegas, we wanted a special meal. I had reviewed and researched every major steakhouse and decided this was the place. And was it ever. I put this on the top three of the most elegant and impressive meals and service we have had. Corey lead our service team and there were staff always there for whatever you needed. We were seated near the large windows that showcase the 40 foot water fall and lake of dreams. The disappearing doors later opened to bring the outside in. We both ordered the special filet mignon that was carrot finished, the cattle are raised on grass then fed nothing but carrots by a special ranch in California. Very tender and flavorful (no carrot taste by the way) My Caesar salad was delightful, my wife had French onion soup that was well done. The food was made more special by the attentive service and views. Hard to imagine with the towering trees, waterfall and lake, that you are just off the strip in Las Vegas. We thank the staff at Wynn's for this extraordinary experience. I will say that the outside patio is warm in the summer which is why we chose to dine indoors, but when the doors opened, it didn't affect the temperature where we were.

Pity receptionist

By María Teresa H |

All very well, except the person who received us. We made the reservation two weeks earlier, the only option was at 10:30pm. I think the lady was tired because she told us they were closing in 45 minutes (which is not our fault... why do they give reservations then at that time?), and that to give us a table on the terrace we had to wait 45 minutes more than our reserved time (but at that time they close! Haha!) and that we were going to be charged if we canceled... then I think the miss was in bad shape but it's not our fault... everything being inside very well

Anniversary Dinner

By Krista L |

Outstanding! Beautiful atmosphere, amazing food, attentive service ! I highly recommend for a special occasion! My husband said it’s the best steak he’s ever had ! They even brought us a plate of truffles with Happy Anniversary written on the plate !

Birthday Dinner

By Tawny A |

We had an exceptional birthday dinner of ribeye cooked and seasoned to perfection, black truffle corn and Yukon gold potato purée. These sides fed our table of 4 and had leftovers. The complimentary bread was to die for. Best cocktails we had all weekend. And they brought my husband the cutest little birthday desert. Only restaurant that did that all weekend! Excellent and prompt service. We truly enjoyed our evening!

Abysmal Experience...

By Randy D |

We had a miserable experience at SW Steakhouse, which sad as this used to be one of our favs in Vegas. We encountered two issues that ruined our experience. 1) The table next to us was in a heated argument. One individual was intoxicated, cursing loudly and threatening physical violence on another in their party. The wait staff and management had awareness of the situation and was observing, but did nothing to step in and/or remove the party. They should have been promptly kicked out by security, but were allowed to continue their outbursts, making it extremely uncomfortable for any guests within an earshot. 2) Normally the food here is excellent, maybe they were having an off night, but we ordered a $98 lobster that was cooked beyond recognition. It was bland and was so chewy we couldn't even eat it. We ordered two sides that were equally disappointing. We spent $240 on food that wasn't fit for my dog and an environment that made us feel uneasy and unwelcomed. We did bring our complaints to the staff at the Wynn. We didn't want anything in return, nor did we ask to have anything comped, we simply wanted to share our feedback in hopes for acknowledgement that the experience was not at the level that should be expected for the price. We gave them our contact information and we were told a manager would be giving us a call. That never happened. Extremely disappointing all around. There are so many excellent restaurants in Vegas. I'd recommend finding a different one to visit on your next trip.

Disappointing

By MISSYR |

I was underwhelmed by this restaurant, I was stuck in the back and to close to other diners, could hear their conversations which was distracting. Outside would have been much better and was beautiful but not offered, this is the only way I would eat at this again. Service is excellent but the food is overpriced and not that good. Shrimp cocktail $28 for 4 small limp shrimp and my filet was very dry. Much better options in Vegas, would not recommend.

Maryland Crab cake. Can’t go wrong

By GezenBey |

Unfortunately as with other restaurants when ordering you never know how much food is going to be on your plate when it arrives. I ordered Blue Crab Cake as appetiser and New York Strip with two sides (as recommended by server) Crab Cake was the best I ever had , was it worth $34 ? Absolutely. New York Strip with two sides was way more then most could eat and to my taste over seasoned (I should have ordered unseasoned) my fault . However after one bite I knew I ordered too much so never had the opportunity to enjoy the Steak in this Steak house . Both Steak and sides costing $130plus tax and service ended up in the trash. Decor is superb , Wynn is the best Hotel -Casino in Vegas . Their restaurants have some catching up to do.

Had a 5:45 pm reservation.

By LivinginSanAntonio |

Had a 5:45 pm reservation. Seated promptly, opting for inside but in front of the waterfall. Shrimp cocktail was excellent. Firm and tasty. The 8oz. Filet was perfect—MR as I like it. Wife had the rib eye (16 oz!) She loved it and I thought I would have to help her, but she finished it (she never eats that much.) Ordered steak fries and the portion was too much, even for both of us. The sautéed mushrooms were excellent. Had the cheesecake—Very good. Service was good and so, so toward the end. Attention to water glasses was good, but had to wait unusually long to clear our plates and get the bill settled—at least 10 mins. Below par especially for the price. Will give it another try in about six months, but will try another LV steakhouse before I return.

Ruined 44th Anniversary

By scootercus |

It never ceases to amaze me how a Las Vegas restaurant ruins a special occasion. Party of 4. Our party brought a bottle for corkage. We were told the bottle was one on their their menu. It wasn’t. We ordered two other bottles of wine instead. First course was great. Then the show outside proceeded (we were inside). The music was ear piercing inside of the restaurant. We asked for the manager. She said she understood but there was nothing they could do about the music inside the restaurant. She offered us ear plugs! My wife was so shaken we had to leave. $700;down the drain. Thanks for ruining our 44th anniversary. Last time we will come here.

A MUST WHEN IN VEGAS

By Pink World |

SW steakhouse is one of my family's most favorite restaurants. The food is amazing and the steaks are very good quality. The "lake of dreams" show is fun to watch and when the show is not running the view is very pretty.

Amazing food, extremely disappointing service.

By Taylor |

My husband and I made reservations a month in advance to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We dined on a Thursday evening at 7:30pm. The food was absolutely delightful, 10/10 (hence the one star). Unfortunately that was the only highlight of our experience. After spending upwards of $1k for two people, and receiving terrible service I'm not sure we will be returning The servers completely neglected us the entire meal, while they were extremely attentive to the groups surrounding us. We were trying for 20-30 minutes to ask for sauce, butter, and a question regarding what accompanied one of our dishes and finally gave up. (This was even asking flagging down another server and requesting him to grab our waiter, go no avail). It was extremely disheartening that we spent 3+ hours (2 of those trying to get someone's attention) while we watched our waiter run to fold napkins when another table got up to use the restroom. Initially, after letting our waiter know that we were ready to order, he did not return for another 25 minutes. He then curtly took our order, and let us know that it would be 45+ minutes and to sit tight. We were a little off put by this given that no one else was being told how long their food would take. The table next to us even leaned over and said "ours took 15 minutes so that's not accurate". At the end of the meal when our waiter finally returned to give us our check, he overheard my husband asking if there were nuts in the truffles. He then asked who in our party had a nut allergy, to which I raised my hand. He proceeded to scold me stating that I never made him aware of this and I need to start every meal at the Wynn by telling the server, whether they ask or not. He continued on with this for 4-5 minutes. Mind you, nothing prompted this as we were already finished with our meal. I was very embarrassed by him loudly lecturing and telling what I needed to do, as if I have not been living with this allergy my entire life. We are staying at the Wynn and the front desk, concierge, and all other restaurants have been outstanding with service. Unfortunately, the SW did not come close to living up to those standards.

40mins late with table but worth the wait.

By Phil6767 |

Table 40mins late but other than that great meal, great surroundings this time. Have been previously and been mortified by service and food not great so pleasantly surprised they got it right this time. On this experience I would definitely dine here again.

Party of 12

By Jerard77 |

Last week we had really great service from Ryan. We decided to return this past week and Ryan wasn't working. In stepped Amanda and did a great job of serving us as well. During our two visits we enjoyed tuna tartare, halibut, veal chop, both rib eyes, porterhouse, chicken, scampi, and several sides. We enjoyed everything. It would have been better is we could have sat at the same table but the food and service were still good.

Good experience but overpriced

By Simon M |

First time in Vegas in many years, being from New York area. This steakhouse was recommended by a friend so we gave it a chance. We had a table outdoors, it was about 70 degrees but the restaurant had heaters blasting, which made our dinner uncomfortable. The air conditioning inside the restaurant was cooler than outdoor patio, yet for some reason they had heaters on. Our service was great, the waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was very average to above average. The porterhouse we ordered was ok but not great. Overall the restaurant is ok but very overpriced

SW equals Swellegant Restaurant

By Summerfunboy |

SW Steakhouse was an excellent experience with classy décor...great service...and top notch cuisine. The flaming Bone Marrow is a showstopper with a bone as big as a femur and we had the filet mignon...Kobe beef and the special that night...a truffle encrusted New York strip. All were amazing as were the sides and cocktails. If you want to treat yourself to a special night out...SW Steakhouse would be hard to beat. A+++

A Most Memorable Thanksgiving Dinner

By Kathleen L |

We decided to go to SW Steakhouse for our Thanksgiving dinner as we were in town. We made an excellent choice! The Wynn is an absolutely beautiful place. The decor is stunning! The restaurant is located on the bottom floor next to a small body of water. The restaurant is beautiful inside with an outdoor patio next to the lake. It was tops from the food, service, venue which included some delightful entertainment during dinner. We had asked to be seated outside on the patio next to the small lake. It was chilly but they had plenty of overhead and standing heaters to keep every diner comfortable. From the moment we sat down to the end of dinner service was impeccable! Cory and Amanda were our fabulous team. They never missed a step. Cory provided excellent guidance on the steak and menu items. Our son’s girlfriend has nut allergies which they took VERY SERIOUSLY. This made for a relaxing meal for her as she didn’t have to worry about any cross contamination or food that was ordered by others at the table. They brought out excellent focaccia and salted bread. The kids started with oysters, I had the crab cake and hubby had shrimp cocktail. All very good. Our son was excited about trying Japanese wagyu steak. Cory explained the different steaks and the origin. He really knew his stuff. The 4 oz. Ideue Farm, Kagoshima prefecture, New York Strip was melt in your mouth delicious!! He then shared a dry aged tomahawk chop with his girlfriend. Hubby and I shared a New York strip. We all had leftovers! Sides were an gratin potatoes, onion rings, and Brussels sprouts with applewood smoked bacon, and honey mustard. Desserts looked too good to pass up so we ordered molten chocolate cake and a cookie butter cheesecake with milk chocolate biscoff cookie butter ganache. One of the most unusual and outrageously delicious cheese cakesI have ever had. Dinner was just fabulous! During dinner there were little vignettes of 3D audio visual show to music. We all loved it. We agreed this was without a doubt a most memorable Thanksgiving dinner!

Amazing!

Wow! We loved everything about SW! The steak, the atmosphere, the view, the service, all was phenomenal! The side dishes were also amazing! We loved the creamed corn! The desserts were also amazing. We got half a funnel cake order and it included 3 small funnel cakes and dipping sauces which was more than enough for all 4 of us!

Upscale Steakhouse with Delicious Foods and Beautiful Lake View

By Jae W. Lee |

We had an early dinner at SW Steakhouse last October. The restaurant was located inside the beautiful Wynn Las Vegas & Encore Resort. We were seated at the table right next to the restaurant’s Lake of Dreams with excellent view of the lake and the lighted water fall. We ordered Caesar Salad, Pan Roasted Sea Scallops, Filet Mignon, and Creme Brulee. They were all very delicious, although the prices were on high side. Our server, Anthony from New Jersey, was very efficient and friendly. The lake view with lighted falls was so pleasant. Early advance reservation is strongly recommended. Dress code is business casual.

Very disappointing!

We’ve enjoyed many dinners at SW until recently. Our porterhouse was an inferior cut, with gristle throughout & very hard to cut through. Much of it was inedible, sadly. We complained to our waiter who did not comment at all. Considering the expense of any dinner at SW, at least some dialogue with our waiter or staff would have been appreciated. Too bad their meat purchasing staff have lost their touch. The rest of the meal was fine, service only OK. There are many other steakhouses in LV to choose from, so we’re certainly not recommending SW until they improve.

Wonderful dinner experience

My son, daughter in-law and myself so enjoyed the food and service at this restaurant. It was a mini vacation for us and we only wanted the best. We read great reviews and they were not wrong, from the time we walked in to the time we left, the welcoming service was wonderful. Now to talk bout a five star restaurant, this one is it. The dinner for us was perfect, The food carried such flavor we tried most of the sides and our main dish. Yes it was expensive but this was well worth it and delicious. We will be sure to go back again ,

Timeless Excellence and Decadently Excellent

By FlyOneWorld |

A world class steakhouse that remains a Vegas classic. There is a simple reason they are full every night and that is because this steakhouse is exceptional. Yes, it very expensive but the quality and execution are top notch. The variety of menu items, indulgent flavors and high quality steaks provide a remarkable experience all set by the water features of the Wynn casino. Absolutely, worth the splurge and not to be missed.

They made our Anniversary Special

By meme |

Yes, its expensive. You are at the Wynn and the food and service is top notch. You get what you pay for! We made a reservation and stated it was our anniversary dinner. When we arrived two separate hosts congratulated us. Our table was romantic, partially inside and partially outside. Our food was superb and so was our service. At the end of our meal, a plate that said happy anniversary and some beautiful chocolates were delivered to us. Its a meal I will remember for a very long time. Thank you.

Perfect Steakhouse Experience

The only complaint we can make is that we filled up too quickly and didn’t get to enjoy everything. Luxurious even by Vegas standards. Patio seating for free Lake of Dreams show recommended.

Just not what i was expecting for

By Adcast |

Due to the good reviews throughout here i decided that it should be worthy the price, and i was expecting a very nice experience and with a feast of flavours on my mouth, but i was wrong. The service provided by the waiter was terrible. The In-Bone Rib-Eye steak was way overcoocked, so they change it and the replacement was good but nothing special. It has no marble inside and was more in the dry side, so i had to put some steak sauce to make it a little more juicy. The mash potatoes was similar to the one that you could get at any fast-food venue for 2usd or the one that you could buy at the supermarket that is a powder which comes in a bag and you just add water. Yes, that bad but more way more pricey. The only nice thing about this venue is the place by itself as well as the view of the Lake of Dreams, until the new current, low budget, tacky shows that are on place now started, just as stated on the latest previous reviews. Its a shame that they are not taking advantage of such an amazing spot like they used to do before with the previous shows displayed there. My advice for you is to save your money and better go to any of the casual dining venues throughout the Encore and Wynn, and you will get better food and better service for half of the price, and maybe you will only be missing the better design of the fine dining venues.

Excellent!

We celebrated our 49th anniversary, I have always liked this place for its quality food and drinks, the very good service and it is a very fine and romantic place! I will return without a doubt.

Disappointing and forgettable.

I have been to Wynn Las Vegas and SW Steak House at least 3 dozen times since 2009. The service is hit and miss as is the food. This particular trip marks my last time going to SW. They send out a text message to their quests, specifically highlighting their strict dress code, ie, Business casual, NO HOODIES, NO B-BALL CAPS , NO T-SHIRTS, No ACTIVE WEAR, etc I always dress accordingly as I take pride in my appearance. I am seated at my table on the terrace, It took some time for anyone to approach my table. (typical when dining there, alone) As I am dining I couldn't help but notice people being seated and dressed in all of the above that is NOT ALLOWED. Ball caps, hoodies, runners, t-shirts. NOT Impressed I ordered French onion/mushroom soup, the baguette/cheese topper was so thick and hard that it was not edible, literally needed a knife to cut through it. I also ordered Sea Bass; I found numerous bones in it, and it was on the dry side. The service was ok but certainly not up to par for a restaurant such as this. Very Disappointing.
