Your lucky day if Deidra is working

By Nanci C |

Dieters was the sweetest person. She was very prompt and helpful while I waited for a family member to land. She was taking care of everyone with a smile on her face!

A real market with fresh products

By claudiaeva1500 |

walking through I wished a had an opportunity to cook - so many good and fresh products...but anyway you can always buy some fruits or snacks and there are also some food stalls so you find something for every taste. I can recommend AREPA MIA

Not bad.

By Alex H |

Not that bad as I expect. Nice place with good prices. I tried spaghetti with meat and corn, beans in one of the cafes. It was a little bit spicy but taste very good and I paid just only $9.

Avoid Auburn Market at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport!

By Annalise M |

I recently had the misfortune of visiting the Sweet Auburn Market at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, and I can confidently say it was the worst service I have ever experienced. The lady on duty was confusing and rude, claiming that the kitchen was open until 7 PM. When I attempted to place an order at 6:22, I was abruptly informed that the kitchen was closed. While waiting in line to buy a bottle of water, I overheard her taking an order for a toasted sandwich from someone else. Confused, I asked her why the kitchen was closed if she was still serving food. Her response? "Oh, it's back open now. You should be grateful!" This was incredibly frustrating. Either the kitchen is open or it isn’t—there’s no need for this kind of mixed messaging. To top it all off, I couldn’t even get a simple drink without enduring such terrible service. I would not recommend Sweet Auburn Market to anyone. Unfortunately, there are limited options for dining when saying goodbye to loved ones at international departures, but I sincerely hope they replace the current staff or rethink this establishment. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this place!

friendly staff, but disappointing food

By Sylvina04C |

Low quality food, turkey panini oversalty, accompanied bu chips from the supermarket. Coffee (the restaurant claims it should be barrista quality) below average. Friendly staff but that's not enough. Avoid

Good quick snacks and some chocolates to buy

By Madhanmohan |

I took light lunch ordering apple croissant and peach smoothie. I was able to spend quick time watching TV in bar and then bought some chocolates. They had lot of snacks and certain souvenirs to buy back home. They had good bar setup with TV and also table/chair seating towards runway. Good place to spend time before checking in. Only option available before checkin in the international terminal.

Great market full of FRESH produce & seafood

By BeachBikers |

The produce here was fresh, large, luscious and affordable. There are also several counter service eateries here too. Located right on the streetcar route (which is free during 2015).

Pleasant safe haven on a chaotic day

By Stephanie B |

Had an unexpectedly long wait for someone to get to our international airline desk so we had time to kill before going through security and the sweet auburn market was a lifesaver! We got some drinks at the bar, got a hot panini and Octavia took amazing care of us! She went above and beyond and made a would-be unpleasant moment into something positive for us! Thank you, Octavia!!

Outstanding establishment

By Sharee L |

From restaurant eateries to food classes, this is the all in one spot. You have a variety of cuisines from soul food, latin, asian, vegeterian coupled with meat markets and fresh fruits and vegetables. Some of the food is pre cut for you. There is a convenience store inside also. Parking lot area available and you can validate parking at a kiosk inside. Lovely place!

Would stop here for the service alone but the food and drinks were also great!

By Larry P |

Absolutely loved my experience here. Needed a bite and drink while at the airport and this place hit the spot. The service was amazing and Nidavah went above and beyond to make it so. Highly recommend this place!

True market

By easiwin1948 |

This market was very interesting. They have several food vendors here besides being a true market. There were vendors selling fresh vegetables and vendors selling fresh meat. It was a nice place to visit and right across the street from the streetcar line.

Five star

By Sorden D |

According to my receipt my server was Monique R (never really asked her name) and she was phenomenal. Kind, pleasant, warm, and hospitable. I wish I could get this experience more often in this airport. Her servant leadership should not go unrecognized. Thank you!

Find exactly what I need

By michellebuckbraga |

I am so glad to find this store and special "Nidavah Stearnes". because of her calm, sweetness and support I could find a bag and came safe back home (Brazil).

What a welcome home!

By Nia D |

After a long international flight, a good cup of coffee with a shot of Kahlua was what the doctor ordered. Deidra, the bartender was so nice and welcoming, it reminded me that we still have great warm customer service in the states.

Thank you Deidra

By Michelle M |

We were a bit chilly after waiting around in Atlanta much of the day. The welcome here was warm and the refreshments were brilliant

Sign was "wrong"

By Andy-Bob N |

Sign was "wrong," I ordered the Hummus Platter and according to the sign should be $13, but rang up as $14; sign said it comes with chips or side salad, but was told the sign was wrong and that it came with nothing. The only food option without going airside.

Great!

By Jacobe M |

The service was good and so was the food. Place has a real market vibe which I like, very chill and calm environment. 10/10

Great service

By Michael K |

Nidavah is an amazing server! She was really nice! We had no cash for her tip, yet she was really happy to have a job and serve us

Best bartender at the international Concourse

By Joe E |

Deidra is the best bartender at F concourse at the Atlanta International Airport. She’s very friendly and what a delight to talk to if you have time before your flight stop in and see her excellent excellent service.

Lost in the sauce. But the waitress here is very kind lady.

By Stephen Y |

I just wanted to meet some cool smart people and hangout, share some ideas, make this world a better place. Give me clear hints please.

Wish I had these guys for employees!

By kjsidekick |

After a long day of travel, we hopped in here for a quick glass while waiting for our ride. We were greeted by Nick who was so quick and accommodating! Then Fatima came and chatted with us and was such a breath of fresh air! Even offered us a bite of her cookie! Wish every employee I had was this friendly! Great job!

Best experience everytime I come in here

Sweet Auburn Market

By Calsanf |

Perfect stop at Atlanta International airport before our departure. Great and friendly service from Octavia. Food was great and comfortable sit at the bar to charge phone and watch tv

Usually not good!! Ashley mad either outstanding

By Melinda |

I have been to this Cafe many times and I have never met a server or anyone working here with good customer service. Everyone looks miserable, mad, frowning, voice very low, no eye contact, sitting on their phone, not being active with cutomers, just not good customer service. Then today on the 2nd of May, a lady named Ashley walked in as shifts switch led and I was immediatly drawn to her smile and kind nature because I had literally never seen that in this place before. I have been here at least 5 or 6 times. I appreciated her kindness to others, walking around doing her job, her smile, kind voice, and willing ess to answer questions and help in a kind way!! GO ASHLEY!! SHE NEEDS A RAISE!!

Quick breakfast stop

Sells Expired Food, avoid them yaak

By Sai pradad M |

They sell all expired snacks, be careful when you buy them. When I question them they are very rude. Try to avoid the store. Especially dont buy something for kinds from this store. I searched 2/3 prepackaged all of them were expired

Fresh food, pastries and coffee at the International terminal

By Carol A S |

Sweet Auburn is one of the few places you can dine before checking in and going through the security line (there are many dining opportunities after the security check in the food court). It offers a variety of hot and cold food and coffee. I stopped in for a panini and hot soup which were freshly prepared and yummy. The staff was courteous, and the dining area was clean.

ATL Airport - Healthy snacks, Illy Coffee service

By DerbyDogs |

Located outside of security checkpoint of ATL International Departures (F Ticketing), Sweet Auburn Market is a great place to pick up snacks for your flight, or to grab something while waiting for your guests to land. Menu service is at bar for panini, tapas, or breakfast, or check out the simple soup station. Airport location has a ILLY coffee menu with staff there to get your order, or see the bartender for another drink option. There is cafe seating area on the side if you would prefer to sit there instead of at the bar. The staff was very friendly & polite. We were impressed with the large amount of healthy options available. * Remember, you Can take food on the plane, but No Liquids allowed thru security, so allow time to finish your beverage before heading to the gate. ;)

Some good food choices; lots of empty stalls

By Christine M |

We visited here after reading some great reviews of a few of the restaurants inside here. We were not disappointed by Arepa Mia and Grindhouse Burgers -- both great! But the actual market was not what we expected. There were a lot of empty stalls and not many shops. We were definitely hoping for something a little different, but loved the food we had. Additionally, even with having our parking ticket validated, we still had to pay for parking since we were there over an hour.

Historical Market with less of a Bougie feel, and is more inclusive of citizens

By Sandy J |

Highlight: Sweet Auburn Curb Market's name arose from the historical period of when segregation existed and blacks were not allowed to sell within the periphery and thus had to take their businesses to the curbside. The name exists because some of the businesses here still derive from familial lineage of coming from that time. Sweet Auburn is less bougie than Ponce and Krog Street, in my opinion. It is more inclusive. They even accept food stamps and you see different clientale than krog Street where it was generally young millennials, professionals, and tourists. Sweet Auburn has loyal customers from more impoverished areas, hospital workers from Grady, residents in their scrubs here for lunch, a few curious tourists, and a good mixture of demographics. The food here is less fusion and less hip than Krog, but I argue that the flavors are more authentic and "street" food like. There was an arepa stall, barbecue, juice bar, burgers, sandwiches, and southern goods. You'll see a second Hand book store in the back. There are about 3-4 farmers markets tucked inside with reasonable prices. Nothing was rotting or unfresh. Auburn is not as well decorated and fancy as Krog and Ponce but that's what maintains the "flavor" and "reminescence" or a true sans frills farmers market. Parking is free for the first 2 hrs. 6$ for after that. I think some notable businesses include 1. Honest Tea Brewing company- Jamiel and his wife run this cute, positive, and very impressively extensive tea house. There are many teas ranging from clean and fresh whites, to fruit blends, darker greens and blacks, and flower teas. I highly recommend going for tea for 2 and trying a pot to refresh yourself 2. There's a Louisiana pralines and popcorn stall- super sinful and good but if you love a good heavy praline, cheddar and caramel popcorn, this stall won't disappoint 3. Arepas- these are some awesome South American pancake like bread that wraps around fillings. It had natural and sustainable meats and produce 4. The used book store also contained some great literature and old feel charm that i recommend to any book lover. 5. If you've never been to seattle's market or Reading Terminal of Philly, then this is a good example of what those places feel like, only busier and more touristy.

Out of towners will enjoy this taste of local life in Atlanta!

By Pamela L |

Take the stop off the streetcar and enjoy! Tons of super fresh veggies + fish + seafood + meat -- lots of things like pigs brains and hooves and ears and sausages. Don't be afraid to ask if you see something you don't recognize. People are really nice and happy to talk to strangers. There were also several places to buy prepared foods like burgers and pizza, but also curry and Venezuelan food. There are also some great signs! Be sure to stop at "Sisters Bookshop" and Sweet Auburn Bakery!

Octavia is a fabulous asset!

By Phyllis M |

The single word that made this experience exceptional for us was "Octavia". This young lady was so astute and efficient with her work and her ensuring that all customers were taken care of and satisfied. She did a great job promotong menu items and upselling various beverages for us to try. She was engaging without being intrusive. She was simply delightful! You need to do whatever necessary to keep this young lady within your structure. I'd love to hire her if I could!

ATL Intl Terminal Experience Disappointing

By Diane R |

Ordered a salad that contained grilled chicken and paid in advance. The salad was brought to my table. Only after eating a few bites did I notice it contained no chicken. Thinking it was a mistake I went on a search for the server. Turns out they were out of chicken. She spoke to a person I believe was the manager and without looking up from his smart phone announced to me that he was waiting for a delivery. I settled for a separate plate of deli chicken. No southern hospitality at this establishment.

Great visit while waiting on family to arrive to board plane.

By Sara W |

Octavia was very attentive and helpful. She helped us as soon as we sat down. We enjoyed our visit while waiting on family to arrive.

Better to put your money in the garbage can

By Genny D |

I bought a hot dog and it is the worst thing I have ever tasted. Not only the sausage was bad quality and undercooked but the bread was stale and there were no condiments to put on it.The service is awful as well.

Go see Nidavah

By Reed423 |

Surprisingly chill atmosphere considering it's in the international terminal of the ATL airport. Nidavah was a great bartender & real easy to talk to. Not too saccharine either, which is awesome

Yummy foods at ATL

By beegerie |

The paninis were amazing, pesto caprese alllll the way!! Plus bonus chippies and delicious pickle spear! Thanks to Brianna who was very helpful!

Food and service a joke

By lillamy2014 |

The service is tired, disengaged and borderline unpleasant. The food is overpriced and as disengagedly prepared as the service. Do not recommend anyone to come here if it really is not necessary.

Made my bad day into a good one, thank you to Ashley for being able to take care of me and my family!! Will return!!! ❤️

By Candace B |

Food Tour Stop

By David B |

Our visit to here was part of a food tour so we were not privy to a full sit down meal experience. This review will be based on what we were served while visiting during the tour. ‘The Municipal Market’, also known as the ‘Sweet Auburn Curb Market’. The market was founded in 1918 as an open air market, The Municipal Market opened the doors to its new building in 1924. Referred to as the ‘Curb Market’ by locals, it houses thirty local businesses, including produce, butchers, seafood, a full service bakery, a cooking school, and ten of the most popular eateries in the city. We were here to visit several of the venders inside the market. Well worth the time to visit if in the area. Easy to get to if you use the trolley.

Don’t try to use a voucher here… unless you have a lot of time to kill.

By Jerry D |

Staff was friendly. Food was good if not a bit overpriced. Had great difficulty using good vouchers provided by United Airlines. Mine worked but my wife’s would not so she was unable to get food. We shared my food but it took 35 minutes to get the sandwich we ordered. It was fine but took too long to get food, and staff seemed confused my vouchers. Not likely to return,

Support Local Businesses

By Denise R |

This was my first visit to the market. I was able to acquire fresh produce for my holiday meals. There were also butchers and a fish monger, which I did not purchase from. It’s a great place to grab a quick bite to eat as it has several vendors. I made purchases to support several business, cake, popcorn, savory pies, tea...all vendors were friendly and welcoming. All in all a good shopping experience! Mak

Great pit stop before the flight

By KarRod |

Very clean and relaxing environment. We enjoyed a couple of delicious margaritas before my friend took off. We will be back again

RUDE and ARROGANT staff

By Myles A |

In a nearly empty restaurant, the only service we got was ten minutes after we sat down from the bartender who wanders over after she finished watching whatever was on TV. RUDE and ARROGANT. I will NEVER go to any Sweet Auburn locations even though I loved the location by Ponce. Additionally, I removed the positive review I left them because of this.
