Good for Brunch

By 0ForRyan |

This was a good place for a Saturday brunch. It seems like this place may fill up after a lot of other places in the neighborhood, so we were able to sleep in a bit on the weekend, but was good none the less. I had the Biscuits and Gravy, first time ever having it with chicken instead of pork, and a mimosa. Very original, and chicken focused atmosphere, would recommend for visitors to Williamsburg.

Delicious chicken and waffles and a great vibe!

By martha1 |

The chicken and waffles were both crispy and delicious. A nice restaurant with a great vibe. It can get pretty busy so you might find yourself at a picnic table with strangers. Can get a bit tricky to manoeuver yourself onto the bench but it's worth it. Service was friendly and efficient. We had just come back in late from Manhattan and were really pleased this restaurant was still serving until 2 am!

love

I'll forever go here for either their chrimp & grits or chicken & waffles. SOOOOOOO delicious and nothing but good vibes

Fabulous brunch

By Chris812283 |

Warm welcome and great service only topped by the fantastic food. We had pork hash for brunch, it was so good. Highly recommended

Very disappointing chicken

By RY234 |

Visited here with my boyfriend at around 9.30pm midweek which may have been the problem. Ordered chicken and waffles, mac n cheese and greens to share. The mac and cheese was average but the chicken was terrible - extremely dry (I assume it had been cooked earlier in the day and simply re-heated). Very disappointing especially considering that it cost 20 dollars. Wish I had the guts to have sent it back or let the waiter know.

Sunday brunch

By mami48 |

This restaurant is much smaller than the one in Manhattan. We waited at the bar about 30 minutes before being seated at a corner table. Unfortunately we were right under a speaker and the music was very loud. Our waitress was able to turn down the music and we enjoyed our meal for a while but then the music was blasting again. I had the eggs benny with arugula salad. Two of my companions had steak and eggs, my husband had eggs with bacon and potatoes. All the food was good but the drinks not so good. We had mimosas which use sparkling wine and orange juice so it was not as good as a real mimosa. I did not feel it was worth the $17 charged. We tried sticky buns but it was very chewy and the caramel was really hard and inedible.

Best chicken and waffles! Love the mac and cheese

By Natasha Cotti |

Top 5 restaurants in nyc! Ordered the fried okra, mac and cheese and buffalo chicken and waffles. All were amazing! Perfect seasoning! Rose' prosecco was great too! We were seated right away on a Saturday night. Great service and ambiance. Will definitely return. Thanks for a delicious dinner!

Great!

By Wanderlust |

The chicken and waffles was super tasty! The staff was very nice and the beer was good. There is a nice cosy beer bar nearby where you can have a drink whilst waiting your table. Will definitely go back here!

Good ambience, excellent service

By Jonathan D |

We stumbled across this restaurant quite by accident and were ultimately pleased to have done so. It is a hip, trendy place, serving decent priced food and drinks in a pleasant environment. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My wife and son enjoyed pulled pork burgers, whilst due to a stomach upset I was unfortunately reduced to the status of frustrated bystander. A good choice for a quick bite to eat in Brooklyn.

Give it a try...

Nice ambience and worth the experience. Definitely give it a try if you're in the Brooklyn, NY area.

Yes and Yes!

Trendy brunch and late night eatery in the hip part of Brooklyn. The shrimp and grits are AMAZING!!!! Chicken and waffles seemed to be really popular, and the biscuits we're flavorful and airy. Great music too.

Soul Food,

By LOUIE815 |

Real Southern cooking in a cozy atmosphere. Not that big of a menu. But the food was on the money and the cocktails were well worth it..We will definitely return...

Great Food, Great Vibe

By Juliana Y |

Food was great. I came at the "in between time" because it wasn't dinner and it wasn't lunch. They only have a few things on the menu then but what was not a problem the mac'n cheese with fried chicken and waffles were what we wanted. The staff was really nice and attentive. The music was great. It is a block down from the subway and delicious.

We hit this place at the right time.. we had a wait of about 15mins and they drop you a text to let you know you are up.. I had Eggs Benny and the wife had a breakfast burrito. Both dishes were delicious. People were walking away due to the wait and this was at 11am. Recommend....! Just try not to sit by the door can get chilly.

South in the North

This is a charming little gem in Williamsburg. The food is delicious and authentically southern. Eggs Benedict was to die for along with perfectly prepared side potatoes and grits. The BloodyMary was served with a side of beer--my favorite way to enjoy a great "Bloody!"

Chicken galore

By smilgaki |

We ate here primarily to shelter from the rain but it turned out to be a fun, hipsterish spot for lunch in Williamsburg especially if you like chicken. Cosy decor with a great-looking bar. The speciality here is fried chicken and waffles (and different flavours thereof) but they have other dishes too including breakfast stuffs, a kale BLT and a meatloaf sandwich. We were a bit intimidated by the waffle portion sizes (huge!!!) so both went for the chicken sandwich with salad. My husband opted for the vegetarian "chicken", I had the real thing (you could choose between fried or grilled). The sandwich was tasty though the pickled shallots added a tad too much tang. It came with a generous portion of rocket salad with some candied pecans. They do some interesting drinks too (e.g. peach lemonade) - I had a micro-brewed root beer. Staff were hip and pretty friendly.

Brunch

By Gelseyf |

This is the best brunch ever if you are a fan of soul food or comfort food. Chicken and waffles! That’s all you need to order trust me. This is a local place, small, quaint, delicious. If you are in Brooklyn make sure to stop by.

Chicken and waffles

By VR747 |

Fun place for cocktails and chicken and waffles. Good music and atmosphere. Our server was lovely and food was pretty good.

Good Place For Lunch etc.

By rebel56 |

I got the chicken and fries with bone in which was a verry small thigh & leg with a large order of crinkle fries. My wife got the fried chicken sandwich which was very good. My chicken & fries was average the reason for 4 stars. We both got unsweet tea which was very fresh & tasty. The waitress was attentive & nice. Overall, a good place to eat and some of their specialties are chicken & waffles plus breakfast items including biscuits & gravy which is a surprise as this is a southern dish we have all the time in SW Virginia but this is the first time I have seen it offered in NYC. Also had sweet tea, maybe the South is rubbing off on the Northerners! Lol

I broke my vegetarianism and I'm not sorry.

By Marina W |

This was the best meal I had all year, and the best chicken and waffles I've ever had, bar none. The chicken is salty and crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. It would be fine standing alone, but perfectly compliments the syrup-soaked bed of waffle-which, by the way, comes in assortment of flavours (we settled on apple cinnamon). The server was lovely and brought us an assortment of flavoured butters to fill and enhance the cubic waffle holes. For a side, we ordered the mac and cheese-perfectly chewy large shell pasta in a coating of gruyere and cheddar. It was just the right amount of cheesy and satisfying without being greasy. Sweet Chick still visits me in my dreams, Titanic style. I hope to visit again before I die.

Excellent, Late night dinner

By neelyherridge |

Needless to say the chicken and waffles was outstanding and I try them everywhere. Went with the original and it was perfectly balanced sweet and savory. Also tried the bass special and it was superb. Cute setting.

Great chicken and Waffles

By imagine_Juli |

I went here with my love because there was claims online that this was the O.G. location (first one established). We called ahead of time to confirm if our son who is 12 can tag along since it was 2 am and this place has a bar inside. Im use to cali where after a certain hour children cannot be in a place that has a bar. To my surprise they said he is allowed and since it was spring break and there was no school we let him tag along. It gets very crowded Saturday nights even during the late hours we were out so plan ahead. We each decided to keep it simple although we were tempted by the shrimp and grits, among other items. My rule of thumb is if you don't know the culinary skill of an establishment order something that is almost impossible to mess up and if they do you know the place is a fluke. We had 3 orders of chicken and waffle (leg and thigh each) and I had classic waffles, the Mr Had General Tso's style chicken and waffle, the little one and I had classic fried chicken, my waffle was also classic (plain) and my son opted for the apple cinnamon waffle. This place served flavored butter that really added to the taste of the waffle since the classic waffle itself tasted bland. We tried each other food and I was most impressed by their accuracy of General Tso's chicken. I would definitely order that next time. Overall the place was nice, clean, small and quaint but not too hole in the wall-ish. In comparison of how small it was it got too crowded by 2:30a. I feel the setup could have been more functional. There are tables along the walls all around but a cafeteria style table in the middle right in front the bar. That I hated cause it made moving around tricky. I drove so I cant speak on the drinks. We settled on cola and ice tea/lemonade mix for our drinks. The price for the food wasn't too bad, some items were a little pricey but I was expecting that. Overall I would recommend trying this location before the others. The food was beyond amazing. .

Soooooooooooooooooo good!!!!

By JRRPAMO |

We went here for lunch yesterday (my first time having chicken and waffles) and man oh man!! This was so yummy!! Definitely going back.

Covid Took its toll on this place

By SheenaIAMCAN |

Sweet Chick has always been a go to place during my stay in NY. Unfortunately they are now serving on paper plates and drinks are served in plastic Big Slurp like cups. I had to order using a QR code and pay before I even got my meal. No servers at all. It was very disappointing.

Chicken & waffles + cocktails = yummy

By ncjttn |

We were lucky to get a table for dinner here on 4 July. Service was friendly and efficient, and then the drinks arrived: my Ithaca Flower Power IPA was amazing and I had not come across this before, and my wife's Tiger Tiger Woods Y'all (from memory: bourbon, cognac, lemon, tea-infused honey) was amazing! We both went for chicken and waffles, which were superb: waffles were fresh, fluffy and the right amount of crispy, chicken was crusty at the outside with a bit of spice and tender within. Flavoured butters added to the experience - I would highly recommend giving this place a go.

Hip Hop, Trendy and Fried Chicken

By BellaSoul_NYC |

Great place to eat with friends or a casual date. I had brunch and dinner at their Brooklyn (Bedford Ave)location and because of the limited menu options for brunch, I prefer dinner. The music, atmosphere, food and service was amazing!!! Brunch? Be prepared to wait at least a hour, but if you have the nowait guest app you can put your name on the list.

If your Momma makes great waffles then she probably works here

By Alicia M W |

Sweet Chicks is a small but cute little spot. It provides a atmosphere that is intimate enough if you are on a first day or celebrating your 15th Anniversary. The music is great enough that you laugh and socialize with your friends while sipping on my favorite drink Sweet chicks. Their shrimps and grits will have you asking for seconds and their waffles and chicken will have you licking your fingers in front of strangers and smiling because their probably doing the same. Anything you have on that menu is going to be worth going back.

Food was great but..

By Seven |

I recently went to Sweet Chick and indulged in a waffle and chicken lunch with a specialty cocktail (the one with lavender). Both were divine and the pricing was fair for the area. Overall, I have alwas liked Sweet Chick. I even invited a friend there for dinner but I think its best to take my company else where. I'd give the experience 5 stars but the bartender was very cold, almost to the point of dismissive. I would be inclined to say "that's just his personality" but he was warm and cordial to the white man sitting next to me -- just not very fond of the young black woman in front of him (me). I was dressed for work and maintained a polite demeanor, so I must say his attitude was outright rude, especially in contrast to his treatment of the guest next to me. I think the place is great, but Ezra left a nasty stain on my experience.

Good but maybe not great?

By dumplings_n_grits |

Stopped in for a family dinner with my cousins. We got there around 8pm and there was still about an hour wait. The interior is pretty basic and almost standard decor of a trendy eatery nowadays: concrete bar tops, particle board booths, mason jars, wooden and steel piping stools. The place plays good 90’s hip hop which is a plus. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles and my cousin ordered the chicken bucket. The fried chicken is done very well: battered and seasoned well but they serve half pieces (breasts are cut into two and each half is called “a piece”). The biscuit was kind of like a piece of hard tack, not the usual buttery soft, melt-in-your-mouth quality of the traditional southern fashion. Mashed potatoes were cold and gravy was nothing special. The waffles come in a variety of flavors; I ordered the bacon cheddar version which was well done and topped with pieces of fat back. I lived in North Carolina for a while and my wife is from there, so we had high expectations for this place. Overall it was good for not great. It sort of reminded me a place created by folks that had visited somewhere southern once and thought: hmmm, I could do this in NYC. Also we had to wait over an hour after we ordered for the food to come. I don’t think I would go back again.

SWEET, SWEET CHICK!

The foodie in me LOVED this quaint spot in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Chicken and waffles, what's not to love, right? The couple I was with ordered an array of food so I could try it all - best way to experience this place.

Chicken and Waffles!!!

By Rae46219 |

I was really excited to meet friends for Chicken and Waffles and a little Irish Coffee. The chicken had a kick and the waffles were not too heavy. Such a great little spot. Very trendy and stays busy.

Local gathering place

By Hammbrook |

Went for brunch. Large waffle portions. Fried chicken is great. Biscuits and chicken-sausage gravy is the real deal. Several vegan variations available but no decaf coffee and no low-fat milk. Smallish (about 35 table seats and 8 at the bar) so expect a wait on weekends. No outdoor seating.

Sooooo good

By lemonsherbets |

I wasn't sure when my partner suggested we go in here but I'm so glad she did. It was delicious. Try the macaroni cheese!

Yummy food and great atmosphere!

By Stephanie O |

Delicious chicken and waffles and a hip, buzzy atmosphere. The only let down was the lady at front of house who seemed incapable of cracking a smile, otherwise the service was friendly and we had a very enjoyable evening.

Sweet & Tasty

By COCO |

Very cute and cozy spot with character! Ambiance with great music and friendly staff. It's small so the wait on Saturday night was long. There are other cute restaurants on the block so went there for drinks while waiting. The food was delicious and worth the wait! The chicken and apple cinnamon waffles were cooked to order, hot and scrumptious! Chicken was fried perfectly and the breast wasn't too big. The macaroni and cheese were shells and cheese but good with flavor. The bacon cornbread hit the spot. Enjoy a tasty meal with great atmosphere. I highly recommend and noticed more tables available around 10:30pm or later.

Perfect location for breakfast

Small and stylish restaurant located on Bedford Ave in Williamsburg. I had perfect buttermilk pancakes with cranberry compote and my wife has a chicken sandwich, both were delicious. The waitress are " sweet chicks ". I will come back

Waitress was rip off and the chicken was horrible

By Trina T |

Let it be known I gave Sweet Chick one star because that's the lowest star I was able to give. This place is a rip off. My husband took my children and I to dinner here this past Mother's Day. The the fried chicken was horrible. Not what I excepted at all, especially after waiting for a table for over an hour. Then to top it off my husband paid the bill with his debit card and gave the waiter a tip in cash. The waiter took it upon herself to add an additional $20.00 for her tip. After calling and speaking to several so called mangers in reference to the waiter stealing extra money for a bigger tip, we still have not been refunded the money .. Alex, one of the mangers took my husbands name and number and assured us that it would be rectified but after several weeks and until this day we have not received the money back nor a telephone call back to inform us of the status .. 20 bucks is not a big deal but it's the principal..this business should be out of business. Word of advice.. the chicken is by far the worse that I have ever tasted in my life and do not pay with your debit card because I'm sure that wasn't her first or her last time doing it so go there with cash. As a matter of fact dont even waste your time ..I promise you will be disappointed. You can thank me later

Wow tasty

By Roxanne E |

My husband and I was searching for a place to have brunch.. we saw this place online. Now i was happy to see that Sweet chick had 4 1/2 stars but actually getting there I can see why. We got there 1 hour from its open time and the place was packed. Our wait time was about 10 minutes. We was seated... now ladies dont come to this place in a skirt. The seating arrangement would make it awkward. Reason being is you might end up by the bench rather than a chair so you will be climbing over to your seat. The restaurant is small so you might end up "elbowing" with another group of people. Other than that the food is delicious and big . There signature sauces is good as well. I am a drinker but I never had a bloody Mary until now... it was so damn good especially the garnishes. Perfect! I will definitely be going back

Amazing chicken and waffles

By PabloD209 |

Highly recommend this place. I had the chicken and waffles and it was amazing. My son had the chicken sliders and said it was great. We received good service by staff and the ambiance was nice. Check them out!

Amazing Chicken and waffles

By KatR |

I really enjoyed myself. Luckily we got there at about 11:30 because after that it started getting really crowded and there was a wait for a table. Our waiter was courteous, informative & attentive. He asked if it was our first time, & then made suggestions. We had already studied the menu so we knew what we wanted. I also liked that extra napkins are in the table you don't need to hunt down the waiter for more. The eggs Benny my daughter ordered was good. Flavorful and she asked about getting her eggs cooked differently & the waiter suggested she can get them poached a little longer. Myself and my son ordered the chicken & waffles. It was very good. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Crunchy crust and just the right amount if spices. The waffles were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Three different flavored butters come with it as well. Herb, honey/lemon & blueberry. I liked the blueberry flavor the best. We also ordered a side of biscuits & gravy. We got the sausage one. It's made from chicken sausage. It was a little pricey ($6 for one) but the flavor was good. My son really liked it. We also got biscuit with butter and jelly. The jelly had some type of citrus in it. Either orange or lemon. It was good too. Bellini's were small but were good as well. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because it's small in there and I didn't care for the cafeteria style seating we had to sit at. And I felt rushed because people were waiting to sit so we felt like we couldn't stay longer. Overall, it was good, well prepared, flavorful food with good service! Great music as well..I'd go back.

100% recommend!

By Jessica B |

My boyfriend and I had such an enjoyable evening at Sweet Chick - great music and buzzy atmosphere. The buffalo chicken with blue cheese and waffles was outstanding and you should definitely try the side chick cocktail which has a perfectly balanced chilli hit. We sat at the bar and our barman (Daniel) was so friendly and accommodating. We definitely recommend paying this place a visit!

Wow!!!

after spending 10 days in brooklyn from the UK we heard there was a street market bank holiday monday in bedford. Hungry, we spotted this place which was packed and thought lets try it out it must be good and so right we were! The food was outstanding steak and eggs washed down with a bloody mary just what the doctor ordered. Oh and the pulled chicken and egg are fab aswell!! Awesoooome!

Oh, if I could only go back

By reeel-deezinuh |

We were on a trip to Brooklyn and read the reviews on this place. The only seats left were at the bar. Actually our favorite place to eat. We got to watch the expert bartenders work their libation magic and ate the incredible chicken and waffles. Very memorable experience.

Chicken and Waffles in NYC?

By BethR131 |

Never thought I'd find such delicious southern comfort food in NYC! We had the chicken with apple /cinnamon waffles and they were amazing. No need for syrup with lots of fresh apples in the waffles.

Amazing first chicken & waffles

By coops92 |

I visited my cousin who lives in Williamsburg from London and she told me I HAD to try this place before I left. We went for a late dinner one evening as apparently it gets very busy with queues out the door, luckily we got a table straight away. Being from the UK, I don't tend to mix sweet and savoury, but for this I will make an exception. The chicken was amazing, the waffles were also good but I could probably just eat that chicken on it's own! my cousin had the Mac and cheese which was also really good. Definitely somewhere you need to stop on your way through Brooklyn! The guys in there were friendly and helped me decide what to get, although looking at me like I was a bit weird when I ordered a vodka and lemonade?

Loooove this place!!!!

By Cecilia L |

Went on a Saturday afternoon before a concert to have a few drinks which was just the perfect option. Red wine glasses were 5dls, I don't remember what wine was it but actually was pretty good! Because of the hour at that time they were only serving waffles&chicken, mac&cheese, and kale salad! We didn't try the waffles&chicken but the kale salad and the mac&cheese were amazing!!! Great vibes and ambience, love the music and amazing service! I will definitely go back for dinner when the complete menu is available!!!!

Family of 7 for Brunch

By Nic Lawrence |

We put our name down for a table and they text when a table was ready. Which gave us time to explore the town. We all really enjoyed brunch all having a different meal. Highly recommend.

Will definitely go back

By Glendale_NYLinda |

Love the atmosphere and excellent, attentive service. The macaroni and cheese was the best I’ve ever had. The fried chicken was miust and delicious but over cooked on the outside. For a fried chicken place, it should be perfect.

Southern Fried Chicken and more in Brooklyn

By Andrea |

If you are looking for good comfort food with a twist, Sweet Chick is the place to go. Rustic look on the inside but so welcoming. It reminded me of family dinners years ago with extended family. There were 3 in our party and we all tried a something different and enjoyed every bite on the plate! We made it to the clean plate club. Our Choices were the Fried Chicken Parmesan, Mike's chicken and Waffles and the Thai Fried Chicken. The waffles were just the right portion, fluffy and delicious. Make sure you have room to share the Donut Ice Cream Sandwich, simply delicious! On top of the good food the service was flawless by Devon!

Great food, wounderful southern hospitality

The best breakfast EVER!!!

By LindaR0324 |

The service was great! They were busy but we got in and sat at the bar (we had four people). Ordered Bloody Mary's and they were delicious!! Then ordered the eggs "Benny". This is the most amazing savory meal you will ever eat for breakfast!! I swear I heard angels singing or at least warming up when I ate this. OMG it was good!! Don't miss this little gem of a restaurant!

Amazing brunch in a trendy atmosphere!!

By Dana M |

My friend suggested checking out Sweet Chick when we were spending the afternoon in Brooklyn. Long story short- I'm SO happy we ended up here. I've never had a chicken and waffles breakfast and I imagine it would be extremely hard to beat Sweet Chick!! The chicken was super juicy, but it wasn't greasy and the waffles were nice and fluffy. The butter options were great as well. We were given lemon butter, herb butter and strawberry butter. Each were AMAZING. The service was also really good and the atmosphere reminded me of a rustic farm. It was really trendy. Definitely want to check out their Lower East Side location in the future.

Bedford Ave Must Have

By Pnwnyc |

Stop in here all the time (when there's not a line), everything i've ordered has been on point. A little cramped at times but the food is well worth it. Chicken and Waffles is a classic, grab a drink at any time. I recommend.

Sunday brunch and a wait from hell

By Beata T |

Went for brunch with a small group of 6 and tried to get in around noon. Yes, everyplace will be extremely busy but here a minimum wait was an hour and half. However, that became almost two hours. Let's just say that if the food wasn't good this review would have a different tone. Anyway, once in - the atmosphere is great, the music choices are fitting for what one might expect to hear in a good southern place. Now the food: really good. Of course we had chicken and waffles, bacon, mac&cheese, grits & shrimps and it all made it worth the wait. Suggestion : go in smaller groups and off the peek hours. Suggestion to the owner: hire more busboys on a weekend so they can free up more tables in a swiftly manner.

Surprising and awesome!

By verycriticaltraveler |

Walked in off the street because everyone inside looked like they were having such an awesome time. Had no idea the fried chicken could be so juicy and crisp. Waffles are amazing in sweet or savory. I so so wanted dessert but after eating only half my meal I was full! Can't wait to go back.

A spot with vibe and soul

By Chris |

Last summer, next to our flat on Bedford Ave, Brooklyn. So convenient. Very cozy. Country atmosphere. For a quick lunch by the window. Rustic style, Southern touch. Crab cake sliders, shrimp & and grits, watermelon & beet salad, fried chicken & bacon waffles. Or for a last drink in the freshness on the friendly terrace before coming home. Pastime Paradise or Queen of New York. Yummy.

Naughty but necessary

By Ryan R |

Good fried chicken with delicious mushroom waffles. We attended between 4 & 6pm so the menu was limited but adequate. Cocktails were good. Staff friendly. Small but competent.

Chicken and Waffles!!

Great Find

By SMS1628 |

My hubby and I went there for their signature chicken and waffles. Try them, you will not be disappointed. Fluffy waffles and the chicken is just so moist and crispy. The place is quaint with a lot of character. We simply enjoyed it. The service is great....

Crowded on Sunday

By Jenna D |

Be warned this hip spot is crowded on Sunday. I arrived around 1:30pm by myself. I waited for about an hour before the hostess was able to seat me. The chicken and waffles and bellinis were delicious.

Scrumptious Chicken and Waffles!

By LindaTours |

I wasn't that keen on going out for chicken and waffles, but we decided to try the Williamsburg location on a busy Saturday. The wait was only about 10 minutes. Restaurant is small, but quaint and service was very good. The food definitely exceeded my expectations. Waffles were amazing and the fried chicken was probably the best I've ever had. It's not normally something I'd go out for, but I'd eat here again in a flash it was that good.

Good Eats in Brooklyn

By Dorian L |

Delicious soul food. Went with friends for a quick bite. We shared the fried chicken bucket, watermelon beet salad, and mac and cheese. I consider myself to be a fried chicken connoisseur..lol. I LOVE plain fried chicken and seek the best. Sweet Chicks makes the list..yum. The chicken was crispy outside and moist inside; the coating was flavorful with a hint spicy kick..bravo. The salad was fresh and tasted like summer. The mac and cheese was made with shells in a rich cheesy white sauce that went well with the wonderful salad. When in Brooklyn I will return!

I would absolutely recommend this place!

By Sean D |

Stumbled upon this diner by accident really but was probably the best breakfast we had during our NYC trip. My wife had the wafles with fruit, which was really good and the portion was amazing, I had the eggs benedict, which had a nice twist. Would absolutely recommend this place.

Sweet Chick!

By jash2494 |

Definitely a great restaurant! The food is so good, the look of the restaurant is dope (especially all the biggie references, super dope) and the people are really nice! I first found out about "Sweet Chick" from following Nas on Instagram, so seeing that he co partnered with Sweet Chick's owner made us definitely wanted to support one of our favorite rappers!

Breakfast

By TadiniABC |

I loved the sweet chick breakfast. In the heart of williamburg the place is simple but very nice....

Had a late breakfast at Sweet Chick and it did not let us down.

By Jim L |

I had the waffle and poached eggs and my wife had grits and scrambled eggs. Both dishes were very tasty and we will be going back again. Service was great and we were able to get a table without waiting.

Chicken & Waffles

By Deirdre C |

It's a small restaurant. It specializes in Chicken & Waffles which was very tasty. It's a very limited menu, however, they have a number of different flavored waffles and specialty waffles. The chicken was pretty good.

Evening athmosphere at lunchtime

By Jonas A |

Had lunch, or brunch, and were lucky to get a table. Tried their specialty chicken and waffles. Opted for the bacon and cheddar waffle. The chicken was good but not amazing, a bit dry. I asked to not have sugar on the waffles but they still had a very slight sweetness. I could honestly not taste any bacon and cheese so if there was any in it, it couldn't have been much. Although this was during lunch the athmosphere was that of a bar, which was kind of cool. The interior was tasteful and the service nice and only a bit confused.

nice crisp waffles

By Jim B |

The sweet chick has nice crisp waffles, also chicken items, a good breakfast spot. a small interior, for sit down meals.

Came for brunch, would’ve stayed forever

By Harry Polenta |

Had the waffles and chicken and mac and cheese between 2 of us. Divine. Three choices of butter that have never tasted before! Will be back

Sweet.

Sweet Chick was one of those places that I just wanted to get back to when I travelled to Brooklyn again, still haunted by their delicious grits! The revisit didn't dissapoint, with the rockin brunch menu still as delicious as before. Massive servings of chicken waffles, pancakes, fabulous selection of drinks and now serving vegetarian fried chicken, which was so delicious. One of my favourite Brooklyn brunch spots, and always busy so be prepared to queue if you get there much after 11am on the weekend. But its worth it!

First experience of chicken and waffles

By tomH74792 |

Taken by a Brooklyn local. Had a great time. The food was delicious. Chicken and waffles sounds a bit strange but works very well. The chicken here is fantastic!

Yes LAWD!!

By Mrs. Collins |

This small joint is the ONLY place where I will eat "black-eyed pea spread" on my waffle. I don't even eat black-eyed peas AT ALL...but I just couldn't resist trying it. It was my first time eating chicken and waffles EVER and I FREAKIN LOVED IT! I also had iced tea with bourbon. A-Mazing! CONS: - very, very small - long wait anytime - only one toilet in each of the bathrooms - they run out of certain foods quickly - flies everywhere because it tends to get warm inside quickly

Good Eats after 12am

By Bar C |

The Atmosphere is very relaxing and laid back. Good enough for a casual meet and greet or quality time spent with a significant other while meeting the parents for the first time. I sat at the bar with my nephew for few drinks. The menu was unique and the bartender Dre accommodating. He even notice an accident outside and was able to assist a lady that gotten injured. An amblance came and took her off in a stretcher. So back to my purple drank definitely a different type of drink that creeped up on me and my nephew ordered Sensai On the Block.. both drinks where awesome. I wish more places where laid back and charming as this one. The hip hop vibe was completed with the sounds of Kendrick Lamars new album. The crowd was diverse and the food presentation was excellent. Definitely going back for food next time around. Its not everyday that one can leave good old New Jersey and wish every other bar/ restaurant was like this one. I mean there are decent bars back home but the vibe is never as complete as Sweet Chicks. Shot out to The bartender Dre for saving the day!

Great Food! Small Place!

By Libra123456 |

Enjoyed pretty much everything I ate especially the chicken and waffles. The Mac n cheese was just okay, the can Def improve on that. The service was pretty good to. All in all. Next time I’m in town I’ll Def be back!!!

Great breakfast

By Bears123097 |

We ate our first breakfast in Brooklyn here and we were so glad we did. It was a great breakfast! Seating areas throughout Brooklyn are sketchy due to COVID but the ample seating at the picnic tables outside worked well for our large group.

DO NOT GO THERE

By NYC16NYC |

No matter how the food is if the people working for the restaurant do not seem to be honest to me. I went to Brooklyn for one afternoon and had lunch at Sweet Chick. I paid with my credit card. Two days after I was already far away from Brooklyn but someone used my card and took 400 $ in Brooklyn. It is important to underline that this restaurant was the only place where I used my credit card in Brooklyn! Cheers.

HEAVEN

By Wayne G |

Listen. I don’t leave reviews ever. But this place. Changed my life just now. $11 for the waffles and chicken fingers. Then I got the side of Mac and cheese. Perfection. Baby Jesus made this food. He dropped it off directly from heaven. It was amazinnnnnnnnng and I’ll forever come back whenever I’m in NY

Great chicken

By Richard O |

This hip, fun place always has a line outside especially late mornings when most of Williamsburg is getting out of bed. Staff is very friendly and beer selection is good so it helps to have a nice beverage while you wait for a table. Chicken is very well done, nice and crispy with great flavor. Sides are very good as well... I was an outlier and did not have the chicken and waffles which to me has been over done. The sandwich is a nice alternative.

Who knew...

By Laura G |

Who knew chicken & waffles was a good idea? My husband really wanted to go to this place while we were staying in Williamsburg but I'm not really one for fried chicken/ anything really heavy. I relented on our last night and I'm glad I did. While I wouldn't be in a hurry to eat fried chicken & waffles again (mostly because I don't want to end up the size of a house), it was super tasty. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. Great cocktails too

Bring an appetite!!!

By Travelin_Gasparin |

Amazing place! I had dinner with a friend, during a busy Saturday summer night. The staff was incredibly friendly, and sat us at the window after a quick 10 minute wait. Had the chicken and waffles, and was blown away. Do yourself a favor and eat here. If you are gluten allergic do it anyway. It will be worth the pain.

Well worth the wait for food made with love!

By HeathaMartin |

Last minute decision to go for brunch with friends on Saturday at the Brooklyn location and arrived just after 11am (they open at 10am and it was packed) - the wait for 5 of us would be about 45 minutes. We were seated by noon and had already selected from the menu. Service was excellent and attentive from the hostess to waitress to bartender. Food arrived hot on our table within 20 minutes and each of us got something different. Orange juice is fresh squeezed, chicken and waffles were delicious, but the best meal was the Shrimp and grits with poached eggs. The red sauce filled with peppers and onions topping creamy cheesy grits was to die for. Seating is limited and tight, but the vibe is on point and the wait was worth every minute. Thank you for a memorable visit! One suggestion would be offer the chicken and waffles with the sticky bun waffle option - yummy!

Amazing Vibe and Food

By W Arif |

I absolutely loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in. The music was dope and the food was delicious! We both had chicken and waffles.

Cardboard 4 breakfast

By lunahod |

My impossible?(or some other imperative adjective) breakfast biscuit tasted like a display. The coffee was classically for any chain cafes done from the used dishwasher which was fine for sustainability but sucked for the taste. 2 points for the space that was cozy and bright, shame such a space is wasted.

Worth the Hype!

By foodnovice6 |

I had heard great things about this place, but when I saw the prices, I wasn't sure if the food would be worth it because at that point they could only do take out, and I wasn't sure the food would maintain its quality by the time I got home. It was definitely worth it! I love the combo and usually get a buffalo chicken burger (the sauce is TOO good!) with some mac and cheese or some potato salad (both amazing). This is addictive food!

Good Southern Style Food

By Chris LB |

Good Southern Style Food - Waffles were excellent and the Chicken perfectly cooked, can get busy so be prepared for a wait.

Love!

By ChanaJane3 |

Visited on a recommendation from a friend. I am a tough critic when it comes to chicken and waffles. I loved them. They serve the waffles with three different flavored butters. Personally I could have done with plain butter. So I would give the chicken and waffles 4 out of 5 stars. The real show stopper was the shrimp and grits. So good. I get a little emotional thinking about how much I liked it. The drinks were also fantastic. On a Saturday expect about an hour wait. Stop in. Give your name. Do a little shopping. They text when they are ready for you.

The best fried chicken ever

By Donbon |

We were recommended this place by Matt, our guide on the Brooklyn Street Art Tour (which we thoroughly enjoyed) and were glad we took his recommendation. The brunch menu included mac and cheese, various waffles and fried chicken, sides of shoestring fries and bacon and more. The waffles were super light and so tasty - but the fried chicken was the star of the show. It was insanely good. That and a cold IPA and I was very happy. The vibe was cool, the music good and the service spot on. Cheers!

Really nice restaurant

By Crystal W |

I truly enjoyed the Classic Chicken and Waffles. It was very tasty. The chicken was seasoned to perfection. The waffles were nice and fluffy. This is definitely a place you should go whether with friends or significant other. You wont be disappointed.

Perfect brunch

By Lisa M |

Spectacular brunch. The food was amazing and the service could not have been better. I wish I got her name. The daily special was some of the best food I have ever eaten. Loved and will definitely be back

Love chicken

By Tarasuniverse |

If you love chicken & waffles, this is the place to go! The pot of honey on the side surprisingly goes so well. You also get 3 dips on the side lemon, blueberry and something else but they weren't that great to be honest. Oh and we loved the mac and cheese. This restaurant is very busy so make sure you are early and expect a wait.

Great fried chicken, good food

By S. Sherman |

Heard this joint was popular so stopped by with 3 friends. When seated service was ok, throughout the meal I had to ask for more water 2 different times. The fried chicken is great, nice and crispy, but all the accompaniments are ok, nothing to rave for. If in the area and craving this cuisine sure stop by, otherwise I'd try elsewhere.

Great Chicken and Waffles

By 48812StephenG12 |

We stopped here after leaving the Brooklyn Brewery tour. It was on our walk back the Bedford Ave Metro station. Loved the chicken and waffles. Chicken was cooked just right and they had several gourmet options for the waffles. I really enjoyed the buffalo chicken with blue cheese on the waffles. Nice atmosphere and the service was very quick.

Brunch with Beyonce!

By Lys1123 |

I recently visited this establishment for brunch on a Saturday morning. I was in the mood for waffles and my local friend suggested this place. The atmosphere is great with Beyonce hits playing the whole time. It was a very casual laid back place...the perfect start to my day. I had the sweet chick waffle which was honestly the best waffle I have ever tasted. The fruit on top was so fresh which is hard to find at this time of year in the Northeast. The service was also great we were checked on often and my tea was filled without having to ask! I will definitely return the next time I am in Brooklyn!

Soooo daaaammnn gooooooddd

By Zelda A |

Everything is tasty and good prices Coffe 3$ Grilled chicken sandwich 12$ (😋) Biscuits and gravy side 6$ Would definitely go back if i had more time in NY!

Fantastic Chicken & Waffles

By Constructive_Summer |

Had two late-night dinners here on a recent swing through Williamsburg. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is excellent and the quality of the food is outstanding. Highly recommended are the chicken & waffles (with a choice from various waffle types), the fried chicken sliders on mini biscuits, and the mac & cheese. There is also a large blackboard inside with a healthy variety of daily specials.

Waffle and chicken. Strange combination and yet tasty.

By Karrempje |

We had looked on the internet for lunch places in the area and saw this restaurant with a strange combination: spicy chicken and sweet Belgian waffles. Service was alert, the menu has enough choice. No WiFi which I no longer understand these days. 1 dish is more than enough because the portions are large according to European guidelines.

Delicious chicken!

By Christine Amy |

I have never experienced chicken and waffles before, however I am now definitely a convert! Super speedy and charming service and the chicken was so juicy and really well seasoned! Definitely fills you up, although also ordering the cheesy grits probably also helped with that.

Chicken & Waffles Nirvana

By luv2trvl09NY |

We decided to have brunch at Sweet Chick on a Wednesday and there was no wait. Based on TA recommendations, I ordered the chicken and waffles not realizing I was in for a treat. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned, cooked to a golden brown and crunchy on the outside while still juicy on the inside. The waffles, served with three different types of house made butter, were light, crunchy and were absolutely delicious. It must be one of the best chicken and waffles I've ever had.

Great food

By jenna_mcbryde |

Food was great here, awesome chicken and waffles! Staff once inside were nice and friendly, girl on the door unfortunately was in a mood and practically grunted at us and threw the menus on the table. Clearly having a bad day! Really nice atmosphere too

My favorite place right now hands down

By 922KrystalF |

Just come if you like friend chicken and waffles, and R&B/Hip hop. They place is owned by Nas the rapper. I've been coming here for 2 yrs now. Customer demographic is mixed which I like in the heart of williamsburg. They make the best chicken and waffles I've ever had., Freshly made. They are creative with different varieties and each is served with an assortment of flavored butters for the waffle. They have other things if you are not into friend chicken. Cool place to chill with friends on the weekend and hear good music, if thats your taste. Love the vibe. Music is always on the loud side. Don't bring a date here if you wanna talk quietly. Not that kind of place. Its for drinks, laughter, fun music. Dinner or Brunch can't go wrong. Only thing is that its become so popular that waits times on average 40 mins. 1st come 1st serve. No reservations.

Awesome food but staff could definitely crack a smile once in a while

By munkat |

As from the other reviews the food is so worth visiting. We had shrimp and grits which was absolutely delicious and the mushroom and rosemary waffles with fried chicken. Best friend chicken I had in NYC and the waffles were delicious. We also had some shoestring fries which I loved but by my boyfriend thought were pointless so don't be surprised when seriously crunchy and crispy fries appear if you order them! Like I said in the title and the review below me says the staff don't smile much and are not exactly warm but service is fast and diligent.

Chicken and waffles

By M G |

Chicken and waffles are a must!!!!! The specials are always good as well. Weekends are really busy, if you want a table try getting there early. Mainly hip-hop music, it is Brooklyn after all. Great spot

Great Veggie Chicken

By Angie C |

Yeah, this place is known for the real thing, but the veggie chicken is also delicious! It's one of the best veggie fried chicken we've ever had. The waffles were pretty good, too, as were the flavored butters. The servings are huge, we ended up taking half the chicken home and were glad we hadn't ordered any sides - though they all sounded good!

Great chicken and waffles

By Sarah W |

I recently visited with some family. Service was great and really quick. We all had the chicken waffle sandwich which was really good and the salad it came with was huge. Good value for money.

BEST CHICKEN & WAFFLES IN THE COUNTRY

By Carly J |

I am from Atlanta where the chicken & waffles are supposed to be king but NOPE! Sweet Chicks hands down has the best chicken & waffles I've ever had in my entire life. Every time I come to visit NYC I make a special trip here just for that! I've wanted to venture off the menu because I know everything else is amazing (my boyfriend got the chorizo grits with 2 eggs and it was insane!!) but I just crave it! The waffles are so crispy and fluffy (not dense) and fried chicken is seasoned to perfection. They bring hot sauce to the table without you even asking (WINNING!). Not to mention the mimosas and bloody Mary's are on fleek. The vibe and music remind me of being in ATL which makes it even more of a unique brunch place. Ludacris may think he knows what good chicken and waffles tastes like but wait until he tries sweet chicks!! I've travelled all over the country and abroad and this place wins brunch every time!

Delicious find

By JSivs |

On a girls trip to NY, we spent the day randomly perusing Brooklyn and ended up here for dinner. It did not disappoint. This has to be some of the best southern food we have ever had. I had the shrimp and grits, while my friends had the chicken and waffles and a turkey and waffle special (pics included). To DIE for... all of it. The cocktails, the ambiance, the food. I would go back in a heartbeat. Now, I know I didn't get the standard fair, but their shrimp and grits was one of the best I've ever had. Everything on the menu is worth it. This place attracts the hipsters, but it's not to be missed.

Nice and crunchy!

By Goo4Three |

Stopped by and waited for 20 minutes when the hostess said it would be a 45 minute wait. What's great is that they take your cell number and text you when they have a table for you so you can walk around the neighborhood instead of just sitting around by the restaurant. As for the food, it was quick and good. I ordered the bacon waffles where there was bacon in the batter and fried chicken. My friend had the Rosemary waffle and fried chicken and she really liked her's too. They served it along with some flavored butter which was great and didn't really need for a lot of maple syrup. This was worth a return trip if in the neighborhood again.

Our first time

By Robert G |

The chicken and waffles are the best I've ever had! The service was great and fast! We will be back next time we come to the city.

This is Brooklyn. Filled at 12:30 a..m.!

By fogePortland_ME |

Nothing but superlatives! Goodness, what a wonderful place. You want to high five and buy each bartender a drink, hug all the servers and staff, and just drink it it. Perfect food and preparation, perfect adjustment when something ran out. What else can I say?

Great service and great food

By Yuliuc |

The food was great.. the waiter was great and very accommodating... my daughter wanted a grilled cheese and they made her one even thou is wasn't on the menu....

Worth The 30 Minute Wait!

By Lisa W |

Sweet Chick is a gem!! There was a 45 minute wait to be seated, but the food and service was outstanding. My chicken and waffles were cooked to perfection as was the shrimp and Grits that I ordered and took home to share with my husband. I will definitely return and recommend this restaurant so much so I am trying the Manhattan location in two (2) weeks wI think a friend from work. Yummy!!

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing vibe!!

By Jxsh194 |

Open 24hrs and on the main road of Bedford Avenue, Sweet Chick gives you great food (and drinks) with amazing service. My partner and I ordered Chicken and Waffles which came with a complimentary butters (berry, lemon and also a rosemary butter) - these butters, when combined with the waffle really do make the meal a 10/10. My waffle was Apple and Cinnamon and my girlfriend had the classic. Both were great! Kwesi served us, he was really helpful with our cocktails and he also wore a 'Sweet Chick' t-shirt which looked dope. I tried to buy one myself for $25 but they had sold out and didn't have my size. Definitely the best chicken and waffles in the city and would come back here any day!

really tasty

By storedhoney0 |

As a vegetarian and a southerner, I always crave chicken and waffles and can't have them. But Sweet Chick makes AMAZING veggie chicken and waffles, so it is my go-to place. They also have good mac and cheese and cocktails. Def somewhere I take friends from out of town

Thank God we got lost

By C1Dude |

We found this place totally by accident. We booked a tour of Brooklyn and could not find our Rendezvous point. So we walked around looking for a restaurant and figured we try this one. It was excellent. The owners and staff were awesome. It has the nicest bathroom I've ever been to in my life in a restaurant. Had fried chicken and waffles. The waffles were Rosemary and mushroom and the Fried Chicken was excellent. I would go there in a minute. Plus I got a really nice hug from the owner on the way out

Early dinner in Williamsburg

By scmor142 |

Had my first experience at Sweet Chicks and if fried chicken and waffle is your thing, look no further. Great bar menu, lots of beers on tap and chicken and waffles with a choice of 4 different waffles and 3 different butters. Chicken was moist inside yet crunchy outside. I got the cherry waffles with bits of dried cherries. Had a Nitro Stout and perfection! Did not have to wait for a table, great people watching too.

O M G - Amazeballs - and I don't use that word!

By pattyann68 |

I had to use the word amazeballs for this place because amazing just didn't cut it! I thoroughly enjoyed my hard root beer and the chicken and waffles? Holy cow! One of the best things I've ever eaten! I ordered the caramel chicken and waffles and it really was amazing! The staff was friendly and the food was great. I liked it so much, I bought a t-shirt! :)

Waffles and chicken. Sweet chicken!

By kayakerjeff |

Sat at the bar and the excellent bartender made a few recommendations that were bang on. The place was full but the service was still great. Waffles were delicious and the chicken crispy. Opted for two Parmesan breasts at the suggestion of the bartender and it went well with rosemary waffles. Also had some crayfish hush puppies which were crunchy and crisp and came with two sauces.

Limited choice but excellent at what they do

By gatoruk |

You like fried chicken? You like waffles? Then this is your place. Everything cooked perfectly and wonderful atmosphere to boot!

Tasty chick!

By oktopus72 |

We visited after a tour of the Brooklyn brewery as its near by. I'd heard about its fried chicken so sort it out while on our visit to NY.It really didn't disappoint,I had the fried chicken and waffles with hot honey sauce,my partner had Mac n cheese and corn bread. They were both tasty. We washed them down with a couple of cocktails which warmed the cockles on a cold January night. The restaurant has a dark cool vibe which goes well in the trendy neighbourhood.Highly recommended.

Delicious

By LJ_ |

Best food in the east coast, read about it online and thought had to go. Is easily commutable. I felt really American eating chicken and waffles which was yummy. staff are a delight and friendly.

This place wasn’t what I expected

By Yohanna295 |

This place wasn’t what I expected is was so small, it was jam packed too many people the waiting time it’s ridiculous, and the door hostess was so rude and I kind felt discriminated because the majority of the customer were white and we black Hispanic he keep telling us to wait outside and I told him why you only asking us were there are other waiting inside just like us anyway the table and the silverware wasn’t clean properly because they smell like eggs the food was the only thing I liked the chicken and waffles was to die for

Amazing Food and Service

By Makpat123 |

Hands down the best fried chicken and waffles ever. Also loved the soda that is made locally - and the flavour changes from time to time. I had one with hints of lemongrass and star anise and was highly refreshing on a hot NY night. Go here as soon as you can.

Visited the Sweet Check Last Summer And About to Return

By Texas_Traveler71 |

My family and I had a great dining experience at the Sweet Chick last summer. I'm delayed in my reviews but didn't want to miss an opportunity to give some praise to this great restaurant! The food was superb and was a great combination of upscale and comfort with farm to table flare. The restaurant is located in a great part of Brooklyn near a subway stop. It's easily accessible and is a very trendy but comfortable environment. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and can't wait to go back (which we plan to do very soon)!

Great food

By Hannah |

Amazing chicken and waffles we called in here after walking past glad we did the chicken and waffles was amazing! The server was great also Would recommend

Love this place!

By teet409 |

The food is amazing! I love the kale and bacon salad. My kids love the chicken and waffles. Kudos to the chef!

So good!

By Kathy S |

Stopped by for dinner. I had the traditional chicken and waffle and my hubby had the buffalo chicken and waffle. Waitress messed up the order (came with blue cheese and forgot drinks) but she apologized profusely and comped the drinks (sodas) so we were happy again. Food was delicious.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

By Mig G |

What can I say. These guys make waffles with CHEESE AND BACON IN IT. I didn't even know that was a thing but now I can't understand why waffles don't come with cheese and bacon automatically. If that wasn't good enough it comes with delicious fried chicken with an oh so crispy coating. And cocktails - they do cocktails. Perfect evening! If the food was a human I'd definitely try and sleep with it.

Southern done right!

By charleston-gypsy-gal |

Okay... So we're from Charleston, SC and no one does chicken and waffles better... But DAMN Sweet Chick nailed it. Busy little hole in the wall with super friendly service... I had the Rose of the day and the wifey had the Dorothy Parker gin (from Brooklyn) on the rocks. We ordered chicken and waffles and the eggs Benny. The chix and waffles came with 3 different butters (loved the herb variety) and maple syrup. The waffle was mediocre and best and not very crispy but who gives a crap when you are ingesting fried chicken a THAT good!! The Eggs Benny had some of the best smoked chicken I've ever had... Couldn't care less about their home fries (or whatever their potatoes were called)... Because the smoked chicken and the biscuit overcame (most joyously) everything else on the plate! The brunch menu is small but lovely and we can't wait to go back and sample more options. Well done from 2 Charleston girls!!!!!! ❤️

The real deal, chicken and waffles!

By Matias Wanderbite |

Chicken and Waffle, served in a bar? OH YES! Authentic food, in a chilled place without trying to hard to be something they're not (like many other places around the area). It's worth a visit and one of the best ways to kick off your day + they have an amazing selection of drinks. I would come back but this time would order two portions, it was THAT good!

Great Meal

By Montrose H |

The classic chicken and waffles were great. The Christopher Wallace cocktail was sumptuous, but being a mac & cheese lover, it was off da chain. Open late to eat great!

Fantastic chicken!

By MKNUCKLE1977 |

Always get a fantastic meal when I come here. Tried the fried chicken blt and smothered it in honey and it was amazing!!!! Biscuits and gravy with poached eggs was awesome. Had the brunch menu today which was limited compared to more variety of waffles at normal hours. Chicken and waffles are quite delicious!! Definitely a good stop if you are visiting Brooklyn!!

Food to die for

By Morey C |

I walked by here looking for somewhere to have lunch and stumbled in. Oh my goodness. The food here is crazy good! Just don't plan on doing anything strenuous after dining here because you will have stuffed yourself like a glutton.

Amazing place!!😍

By Marta C |

Incredible wee place in Brooklyn Williamsburg. Cute wee spot, nice decor, lovely staff and incredible food! Had fried chicken and waffles, my other half had shrimps and grits both dishes we AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! Would totally recommend visiting this great place

Fantastic fried chicken

By dpakman91 |

Fantastic! Likely the best friend chicken I've had. The sweet chick bucket came with really great collard green cole slaw and a perfect buttermilk biscuit. The vegetarian meat loaf was also excellent, and makes a great fried chicken place also vegetarian friendly. Good ambiance and service, too. Overall, can't go wrong here.

Good atmosphere

By asianfoodiegoodie |

The overall atmosphere was good, food was average. Nothing stood out, mostly forgettable. They could've done better with service. The guy at the bar was attentive but there was only one guy taking orders, one guy who seems to be taking care of serving orders and a lady who welcomes guests coming in. A bit imbalanced on division of labour, resulting to two people looking bored (lady at the entrance and guy serving the orders) and one guy fully busy (guy taking orders).

Omg! Amazing food

By Pichayada H |

1 of the best meals in Brooklyn.we luv Sweet Chick!! All the dishes were super delicious. We went there on Sunday for lunch and this place was packed so we had to wait for a while..worth every second 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 friendly staffs too!

The best for the post bar munchies

By davo1142 |

Came here after bar hopping on a Wednesday at 1am and place was busy. Got the classic chicken and bacon cheddar waffles. Homemade butter and syrup made this night cap help me drift into a chicken and waffle coma when I got home.

Amazing!

The sides were all great but the vegetarian 'chicken' was incredible! Staff were all lovely too. I'm sure the real chicken is good too but highly recommended to vegies.

My wheelchair has to come!

By TYsadventures |

This is a holiday weekend and I chose to try this local spot because it looks really good! First let me say the food {taste, smell, color, and presentation} was superb. I had the Shrimp and grits and they were really good. The portion was not a good value, about 3 tablespoons and 4 titi shrimp for $12? Really, but the worst part of the experience was the very difficult wheelchair accessibility. The ramp to get in the very narrow door is extremely narrow and very steep! Had someone not been right behind me, my powerchair and I would have fallen backward. Once inside, there is very little or no room to autonomously maneuver to the tables (picnic benches). the host was very uncomfortable having to seat me and o was uncomfortable and did not understand why in 2022 he was not experienced to serve an accessible customer. I just couldn't have been the first one? Getting out was equally as difficult as getting in. I will not be visiting this venue again. As an independent self-sufficient wheelchair user, I felt unwelcome, uncomfortable with the service, and unsafe with the accessibility. If I were not a wheelchair user, the experience would have been good. This is a cramped location with little room for social distancing. They actually put a woman I did not know at my table. This is normally fine but uncomfortable in the age of Covid.

Amazing Southern food

By Daniel M |

Really good fried chicken and Shrimp and grits. The chicken and waffles is my favorite dish, the chicken is always flavorful and juice, and I get the sticky bun waffles with condensed milk. They have three kinds of home-made butters, their hot sauce is really good. Servers are always very attentive and friendly. There is always a wait but its really worthwhile. Love going for brunch!

Dope environment

This spot is great I would recommend this to anyone from out of town or I town great place to visit and chill with friends or others.

Chicken and Waffles

By Patricia C |

So I heard this restaurant was known for their chicken and waffles and decided to give it a try. First, I loved the atmosphere and staff. I started off with one of their signature cocktails called "Sweet Chick" and it was delicious. I ordered the chicken and waffles and was impressed. I'm from California and to me, Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles is the best, but Sweet Chick's was really good. I would definitely return to this restaurant on my next visit to Brooklyn.

Awesome!

By Kdnjlee |

Just went here for dinner tonight. The atmosphere was fun and staff were very friendly and well organized. I got the cordon bleu with the thyme waffles. They were amazing! I don’t know when I’ll be back in Brooklyn, but this will be one restaurant I’ll crave for a long time! Yum! Yum! Yum!

For my first experience at a hip brunch spot in Brooklyn, I would have to say AMAZE BALLS. From the service to the OH SO FLAVOR PACK Shrimp and Grits, my socks were def blown off . They even stay open late night for all my late night foodies . I would def recommend this poppin stop to all who visit the great land of The BK !!

We stumbled across this restaurant after a long day walking around Brooklyn, Dumbo and Williamsburg. We didn’t have our internet on so this was a random find, and boy were we glad to find it! The waffles and chicken were superb! I loved the different butters that were provided and of course, the hot sauce! Highly recommended if in the area!

Chicken and waffles 😋 to die for. The fried chicken was 💯👌🏾 absolutely delish and the waffles cooked to perfection. Along with the syrup just gives the two foods a perfect balance.

This restaurant was my favourite . the chicken and waffles is delicious and served with fluffy waffles and some amazing sauces .. I went back for more of the dish throughout my trip. I will go again when I return . I recommend it to anyone travelling to USA to try this naughty but nice fish. there's lots of other things to try there but I was curious about this dish. please go . whether it's bunch or evening. you'll like it .

Get the Chicken & Waffles!

Saw Nas endorsing this spot and came through to see what the deal was. Ordered the Chicken & Waffles and was blown away. Everyone seems to have Chicken & Waffles on their menu so I was somewhat skeptical, but Sweet Chick definitely did right by this dish. Not to mention the bacon; the bacon tasted so fresh and crispy, it was almost like they had the pig in the back of the restaurant, definitely the best bacon I've ever had hands down. If you're in BK for brunch be sure to swing by Sweet Chick, you won't be disappointed.

Return visit is necessary

I had wandered into the Sweet Chick on Sunday morning about 10 minutes before they opened so I went for a short walk to kill the time. When I returned about 20 minutes later the place was packed. I soon found out why. I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered the breakfast burrito, mainly because I was intrigued by the chorizo bacon. The burrito was excellent (although I wish they had crystal hot sauce) but I was told by other customers that the chicken and waffles is the dish to order. Next time.
