How incredibly disappointing to book a reso 2_3 weeks in advance and be sat at a dirty table that the “host” wiped down in front of us and left sticky. Then to be confronted and argued with about whether or not the table was dirty or sticky was sad. I don’t often complain but this was beyond ridiculous. I booked and confirmed and was only disappointed. I am an international guest and I didn’t feel appreciated or even like my business mattered. That’s sad in a city that known for its food. I feel like this is a must miss. We are airline industry workers and we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with the initial and then ended experience . I hope you can do better, this was beyond a fail

I went to the place at Atlanta Airport and ordered some fast food and a drink using the QR ode on the table. I waited 45 min until they started boarding my flight. I asked the waitress several time and also the manager. They didn't pay attention at all. I finally had to leave to board my flight, and the food never come.

Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint was worth every penny! I ordered the salmon dish and peach cobbler for desert and it was delicious!! Our waitress Rene, was awesome, music was great too. If you are not familiar with the area, it would be best to get a cab to and from destination, not sure about the parking since we were walking distance.

Went here to grab a quick dinner with my dad. I made a reservation and arrived 15 mins early but they were unable to seat us. No biggie as we grabbed a drink by the bar. The food was just OK. Nothing special to me about the mac and cheese or the fried chicken. Our waitress also kept bringing us the wrong food or taking our food to different tables. Even got our sides wrong but we didnt want to go through the hassle so we just ate what we got. Don't think I would return as there are many other options in the area.

We walked to Juke Joint from our hotel. We sat at the bar and only had drinks and two apps. All the staff were pleasant and very helpful on places to visit in Atlanta. When we go back to visit again, definitely going back for some good music and food!

Food is awful, service is atrocious, prices are absurd. Will never go here again. $26 for a cheeseburger is absolutely ridiculous.

How is this place even open?! The restaurant was not Ickes whatsoever, and we had to wait for a table for close to 40 minutes when we were told the wait would be 15. There was 9 in our party (4 adults, 3 pre-teens, and 2 toddlers). We were told that there were so many in our group that we couldn’t order using the usual online order, but a waitress would come. The menu is VERY limited— like 3 entrees, some salads, and apps limited. My husband and I both got hamburgers. He sent his back twice because both times they were black and burnt to a crisp. Mine wasn’t burnt, but was pretty dry. Our friend ordered a salad off the menu and had grilled shrimp added. When the salad came, there were lots of things on it that she didn’t remember on the menu (because she wouldn’t have ordered it if she had). When she asked about it, they told her that they didn’t actually have the salad that she had ordered ( that was on the menu) and just made this one instead. When we talked to the manager he said that the IT guy in Atlanta had messed up the menu and put things on there that they didn’t have. Don’t waste your time, just drive to St. Simons. Maybe it won’t be here long and something better can come along. On an island with already limited restaurant options, this beach-front place had great potential, but lacks much to be desired.

it took nearly 40 minutes (airport location) to get a burger. I guess i should not have been surprised when it came out burned. They must have lost the order but demonstrated a sincere lack of caring. This place is hopeless and should be shut down. I noticed several others around me experiencing the same desperation. Bad food, Bad service.... The space should be available soon.

Ok folks... I grew up in the south and got a clean plate award with the chicken and waffles. The chicken is warm, crispy, juicy and so tasty. If you’re here after 7, you will also get to hear live entertainment. Nothing fancy, nothing hole in the wall, but all good. It’s also conveniently located on Peachtree, across the street from the Ritz.

Stopped by here after a concert downtown to get some dessert. Tried the peach cobbler and bread pudding with ice cream for an additional 2$ each. The ice cream was melted when it came out. Deserts were average and not worth $10 each. Be aware they charge you $5 on your bill to sit here when they have someone playing music.

So glad coworkers and I here for a conference have this place a shot! We were here on a Wednesday night and enjoyed the pulled pork, fried chicken, and especially the Mac n cheese. Also the live music was an extra special touch. I’ll be back next time I’m in ATL.

We were prepared for the qr code dining and paying experience and were actually pleasantly surprised by a very attentive hostess, a fabulous server and maybe a manager or owner who was super friendly. The ribs were good, the chicken was plentiful and the fries and mac/cheese were terrific. The grits were dry, but that was the only food complaint. Yummy local IPA. I really thought I had the app figured out, but it kicked me out when I went to close my tab and ended up having to pay via credit card separately anyway. I think the ordering piece is fine, but the payment piece is a pain and seems unnecessary. The music was terrific and at a nice volume

We were staying across street and I went through TA looking for nearby restaurants. We didn’t want to go far or spend a fortune. This gem was across the street. Great atmosphere. Easy reservations. Terrific service. Live music ($5 cover charge). The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer was very tasty, sweet and spicy. The seafood gumbo I would come back for again and again. Enough for a meal in itself and you couldn’t take a bite without getting shrimp, crawfish, scallops, or sausage. A couple of us had hamburgers which they said were good. I had ribs. I have had better but they were tender, moist and tasty. I would like to come back and try the crab cakes and the trout. Fairly inexpensive for the area. The 1/2 pound hamburger with fries was $16 but the gumbo was only and shrimp were $10 and $12. Highest priced item was probably $25.

We wanted southern food and we got that and more. Food was great, chicken and waffles was the best I have had. Fried chicken was great, greens, mac and cheese was great as well. There was a long wait but the host made it happen and sat us down quickly. Best of all was the live jazzy blues music/band.. would go back for sure..

I have desperately been searching for live blues/jazz whenever I visit Atlanta, and by chance happened to hear the live music while I was passing by...so thankful. There was a $5 cover charge to sit in the dining area near the stage, but well worth it. Ordered the fried green tomatoes, very tasty...just could have used more sauce. Staff and management very friendly and the band that Sunday afternoon was awesome. Highly recommended.

You cannot go wrong with this place. Good food, atmosphere and service. I stuck with a burger which was very filling and well made. This will be on the list for a repeat stop next time I am in the area. Try it.

Centrally located on Peachtree Street, Sweet Georgia's was really buzzing at 8.30 PM on a Friday night. You would be well advised to reserve a table in advance, as we had done. The staff were wonderfully welcoming, the embodiment of southern hospitality. The band specialized in soul music, and the male and female vocalists were just great. Southern cuisine is the name of the game; I had pulled pork, while my companion had fried chicken. Both were good, but I was particularly struck with the mac and cheese and the collard greens-- In each case, the best that I have had anywhere. I would also recommend the corn bread, which was very tasty. If you like soul food and soul music, this is the place for you.

We were invited to help celebrate a friend's birthday. First visit for the seven of us, but we will be going back! The food was excellent, our waitress was so kind and accommodating! I can't say enough good things about the place! You must try for your self!

What a fun place! Wonderful food and music. Our waitress, Nookkerra was great; very knowledgeable about the speciality drinks and the food.

Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and good food! I would recommend the chicken and waffles they were very good.

Food was really good and the band was awesome! A really fun place with friends! We had the crab cakes, chicken and waffles and jambalaya! YUM!!!!

With a last minute reservation two of us were able to snag a table with a good view of the stage. Our waiter, Eddie, was friendly but not officious and answered our questions about the cocktails and food patiently and clearly. He was great. We each had some potent potable with moonshine of one flavor or another and split the Southern Plate appetizer. Fried green tomatoes, fried okra, fried onions-you get the picture. It was all fresh, hot and delicious. We split the shrimp and grits. Delicious and plenty for two. A few more shrimp would have been good, though. Cooked perfectly. On Eddie’s recommendation we had the apple bread pudding for dessert. Really good. The band started playing around 8 pm and they were smoking. A piano, rhythm section and a singer. Mostly 70s and 80s R&B. Not so loud that you couldn’t talk. People danced and the whole place had a happy vibe. It seems to attract locals celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and tourists like us. The restaurant was extremely well run. Plenty of people working to keep things moving but we did not feel at all rushed.

The hotel we were at highly recommended this place and even offered a free appetizer. I was surprised there was a cover charge for the band playing but it was well worth it! Music was great but a bit loud for the dining room. I would totally recommend the fried chicken with Mac and cheese and collard greens. The fried Mac and cheese starter was really good too. And you have to top it off with the peach cobbler. Stop by and sing along with the band.

Love our bartender Kirby so awesome. You have to come here if you can in the Atlanta airport!!! He kept all served on time and super friendly!!

Love this place! The food was good. Staff was friendly. Really loved the live music. The three gentlemen that were singing this night were awesome! It is a must try. Great place to relax and visit with others.

My husband and I were out on the town Saturday, celebrating Valentine's Day early. He made a reservation which made all the difference. When we arrived about 8:30, there was a long line waiting. Our table was waiting for us, and we were able to be seated immediately. So, I recommend making a reservation. I had the smothered pork chop plate and my husband had fried chicken. Both were fantastic. The music was terrific and we had no issue with service. Our waitress was polite and checked on us regularly.

Visited here while in town for a convention. The live music was cool and the food was above average. Service was a bit slow but they were busy. Overall very good.

Even though the overall rating was very good, the service sucks! The food was excellent. We all enjoyed our meal. The band was wonderful. However, our waitress was horrible. She did not bring us silverware. I got up and took some off another table for my friends and I. We asked for lemons and never received any from her. We had to ask another waitress. She got our drink order wrong by bringing lemonade and tea mixed instead what was requested. She didn't come back to refill our water or tea. She didn't ask us if we wanted dessert or say the kitchen will be closed soon so if you would like a dessert, let me know. We did ask to see a manager and shared our concerns with him. The service really sucked! You guys have to do better with your customer service!

After a longer than usual wait we were seated where we were treated to great music and the normal excellent food! I had the ribs which were phenomenal as usual!! Can't wait to go back!

We went here before a concert at the Fox Theatre. The restaurant is about a mile from the Theatre -- we walked there but if it's raining or cold, or really hot, you might want to opt to drive yourself. It wasn't as close as I thought it would be. But, it is a cool place. If you have dinner kinda early (6:30 or before), you may be one of only a few patrons, which threw us off at first. But by the time 7:15 rolled around, it was bustling. There is live music each night. If you're with someone who doesn't like that kind of thing, know it is loud-ish.

Bacon wrapped shrimp and cornbread muffin were very good but we wish we would have stopped there. The jambalaya pasta & baked chicken were just ok. And to our surprise we were charged a $5 each entertainment fee. Not indicated anywhere when making our reservation and on a Tuesday night no less.

quite a lovely place, it was our first time we walked to juke joint we had a lovely evening the band was playing good music, food and drinks was awesome it was so much fun. i give juke joint five star since they deserve it for good service

The food was mediocre. I had the chicken and waffles. Went with a fairly large group (12) and were charge 20% gratuity and $5 entrainment fee.

Man this visit was so disappointing. I absolutely love this spot but the service was the worst I've ever experienced. Waiter took our order and after 30 mins, I actually walked up to bar to order drinks just to be blown off again. Went back to the table, asked the waiter about our drinks and he didn't even think about going to the bar. After an hour of just water and free buns, we left! It's a shame, every time I see gratuity included at black owned restaurants, that almost guarantees BAD SERVICE! SMH

I was in from Arizona and needed my southern food fix. I meet there with an old high school friend. I was torn between the shrimp & grits, and fried chicken. I went with the Fried Chicken, collards, grits, mac n cheese, and banana pudding. Oh my gosh, the grits rocked, well the whole meal rocked. This place also had a band and the lead was pretty amazing. My back was to the stage area, but she pretty fantastic. When we did leave, the place was packed. Great expereince in Hot Lanta. Food and atmosphere was sensational.

First time to Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint. Definitely will not be the last. We were there for Sunday brunch. Our party of six all loved the delicious comfort foods, including Chicken & Waffles, pork sandwiches, crab cakes & eggs, etc. the food was amazing and the ambiance was nice with live 3/man band playing jazz and R&B.

Took wife, mother and mother in law for Mother's day on that Saturday. I didn't have reservations so we had to wait an hour. But it was worth it. The mood, atmosphere, music and food was great. Everyone had a great time. If you go on Friday or Saturday make reservations. Nothing negative to say

Worst food I ever ate out serously! No flavor whatsoever tobthe feied chicken. Huge pieces of chicken that is dark from cooked blood. The worst $75 I've ever eaten. Left it all on the table. Atmosphere is the only thing that gets the one store. I heard the drinks were good but I didnt tey them. There is also a $5 pp charge for entertainment.

This place is amazing!!! The food is out of sight, especially the freed green tomatoes. The drinks are on point and the service is impeccable. The live music tops it off and makes for an awesome evening. I had so much fun making song requests and jamming with the other patrons. This is the place to be but make reservations because it hard to get in.

Good—not mind-blowing—food. Good bar drinks. Very good music. Enjoyed ourselves. Reasonable prices (compared to California!). Would recommend.

I was in town for a convention and we decided to wander downtown in search of a place to eat. We ended up at the Juke Joint. Appetizers were fantastic - bacon wrapped shrimp; collard green egg rolls, catfish strips - all rocked. For dinner the six of us all had fried chicken, cheese burgers along with the collard greens and mac & cheese. The jazz band was wonderful. A real venture into flavor town -

Sweet Georgia’s was everything I was hoping for! We arrived to a packed house. There was a long wait for tables in the dining area but as we only wanted apps we were offered a high top in the bar right away. 2 pints of local Sweet Water IPA were ordered and delivered quickly as were our food selections. My husbands gumbo was hearty, spicy and loaded with shrimp and sausage, he said it was the best he ever had. The collard greens were delicious. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly prepared and the best ever. Live music is at 4 and 8. The one man band was fantastic: he went from keyboards to sax. Excellent service, food, atmosphere. We are going back tonight.

OMG!! The food was fabulous!! My 14 year old had chicken and waffles. The chicken was piled high! He ate the waffles without syrup! I enjoyed the Rosemary chicken. The chicken was moist and cooked to perfection. I had two servings of greens and they were fabulous! Perfectly seasoned with very little salt. We made reservations which simplifies the process. After 7, there is live music. We enjoyed our dinner before 7, so we didn't pay the $5 charge for entertainment. You must experience the food and atmosphere! Very refreshing!

Awesome !!!:) ... A Must Eat At Place When In Atlanta !!!:) ... All the Employees were Great ... The Food was Great ... The Music was Great !!!:)

My boss comes up and eats here alot so I had to check it out....Sat at the bar ... Najee had the best service.... he was the cherry on top of our visit...I loved watching him making drinks... the bacon wrapped shrimp was "everythang".... we WILL be back.

We love it here! There was a live band playing, and the room was swaying. We loved the Moonshine and the food was good too. We will return!

I've been here a few times over the years with different groups but everytime I find myself in Atlanta I make sure to eat there.. There is usually a wait (make a reservation ahead of time) but this past visit was on a Wednesday night, the live music was getting ready to begin and the place was packed. We were quickly seated in the bar area which was fine and we got our menu's all worked out on the phones but the hostess came and took our order. A little glitchy as some of us placed orders already, but she took care of working it all out. There were people waiting and I did feel rushed during our meal, they were bringing the checks before we ordered dessert. The music is always great. The food is SO Good!

We came in and were told that it was a $5 upcharge for the band. Fine, no problem. We ate and had great service by the server. He did not charge us the upcharge and we thought it was going to be later. Unfortunately that wasn't what happened. 1st mistake. We listened to music a while and the same child who was at the front who told us that we'd have to pay the charge, came to our table and said, and I quote, "Ummm since you closed your ticket out and you didn't pay the upcharge, you have to get up" and walked away. 2nd mistake. Our server came back and we asked him to get a manager and told him why. He said she never told him that we needed to pay the charge. We sat another 10 minutes watching the older man who mans the band and uses the microphone walk past us 5 times after being told we wanted to speak to a manger. He got a hold of the lady who looked as if she was the manager for the front of the house they then went to the back and we sat more time. Finally he comes to us and asks how he can help. 3rd mistake. We explain what happened and he goes to talk to the child at the front and comes back and instead of apologizing, he tells us about a 2.5 hour max. There is no sign up front, no one communicated that and how would we know, we aren't local to your city. Instead of trying to make it right, he says, "well you know how young people are." No, you can train them better, you can't let them run off your customers. 4th mistake. As we left she was telling people how they could wait and she wasn't being nice about it. Of all the things she could have said to us, starting with explaining the policy, or apologizing for not telling our server to add the upcharge, she came like we were on Martin, "I don't care where you go but you got to get the hell out of here" and just like that, the birthday night we planned with listening to live music was RUINED. Quite unfortunate, but not unexpected. I can say that the next time we come to Atlanta, we probably will find a place that doesn't have poor front end service.

The music is the star here! Atmosphere is fun. We thought the food was just fair. Waitress forgot 2 of our sides and never came back to check on us so that we could tell her. Portions were large, but quality was not there.

This was a night of firsts - my first moonshine and first peach cobbler and boy were they good. As it was our anniversary we were given seats right at the front by the EXCELLENT live band. The food was truly finger licking good.

Always enjoy coming here! The ambiance is always great and the service is always. The live music is sooo good. Today i had the Juke’s fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green. Very good 👍🏾 Make sure you check them out.

I am always apprehensive to try macaroni and cheese and collard greens in restaurants. Fortunately for me these two sides mentioned above were wonderful. I would have given this place a 5 out of 5 however, my server, Joseph was not very attentive at all. After being seated I waited for a while for someone to greet me. Joseph finally came over took my order got my drink order which was only a water and never returned, I had to flag him at the bar to remind him about my water. Someone else ended up delivering my appetizer as well as my entree. After eating someone else brought me my check, as well as a box for the remainder of my entree, and I never seen Joseph again. I still tipped as I felt he is a young guy and needed to be given a little Grace, but please do better! Manager seemed very nice and caring as did the sweet little hostess. Everything I tried was delicious. I had the catfish fingers I think they are called for appetizer and my dinner entree was fried chicken which consisted of like a breast leg and thigh, macaroni and cheese & collard greens.

Only had the greens and a few moonshine mixed drinks, but the food arund us looked amazing. The greens wwere spot on out of the south and the vibe from the patrons and band was hospitable and groovy. I band was off the hook and had everyone on their feet getting their boogie on. Mst go and will return.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced, our waitress was friendly (if a little slow), and the live music was great. Note: when there is live music, the restaurant has a posted policy indicating that you will be kicked out after two hours. We were there closer to three hours and were not kicked out, but that may be because we arrived early and so the restaurant was not yet busy (although it was getting crowded by the time we left) and because we continued to order (drinks, desserts, etc.) throughout our stay.

My friends and I celebrated my birthday. This place has live music and great atmosphere. Our waitress Chasity was awesome and offered great service. We will be back to enjoy food, music, and the wonderful hospitality.

I ate here twice during a recent visit to Atlanta. I was "party of 1", so I sat at the bar both times. Observing the long lines for larger parties, I would recommend reservations for the evenings. There is also a minimum for the tables (which should be easy to meet) as they always have live music playing. The staff was friendly and the service was good. Prices were reasonable. Their seafood gumbo is a little non-traditional (riding the line closer to a tomato base than a traditional roux), but gumbo fans could disagree. It was tasty. First night it was nearly perfect, second night it was too spicy for me but was still good. Pulled pork plate comes ith the pork and once slide of bread. Good flavor, and a TON of it on the plate. If you're looking for something to share this would be it. The chicken caesar was disappointing. The hot grilled chicken was flopped on the salad without enough time to cool so it wilted the lettuce underneath. It was also a little overdressed. On the good side, the chicken was yummy and the dressing was nice. If I ordered it again I'd ask for the dressing AND the chicken on the side. The bread pudding dessert was really yummy. The tap list was not impressive. 2-3 local brews and the macrobrews. This is not atypical for Atlanta (or the southeast, frankly) as the microbrew revolution really hasn't hit as strongly there as it has elsewhere in the country. They could make up for it by having more interesting beers in cans/bottles, but that list was also not very creative. I'd eat here again, but taking off a star for the sloppy salad and the uncreative tap list.

Wait time was long but was well worth it the food was great the service and atmosphere made things even better.

Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint was the perfect place for a group of ten girlfriends to reconnect and catch up! The Soul Food was good. The service was friendly, but a little slow. My fried green tomatoes with fried okra appetizer was really good--better than my Chicken and Biscuit. I thought they were just ok. The food portions were large. Our group enjoyed a variety of entrees from salads to crab cake Benedict. Everyone enjoyed their meal and ate heartily. The sweet tea was good! We expected there to be blues music, but the musicians were running late). The good news about that was we could hear each other without competing with music, and we didn't have to pay the $5.00 per person entertainment surcharge. I will probably go back for the music (and soul food) another time!

45 minutes waiting to get food, rude service, poor cooked food, and also they charge for live music.

We happened upon this place which was recommended by the hotel staff of the Residence Inn Hotel. It was within quick walking distance of the hotel. Live music was ongoing in the main lounge area. A cover charge would be assessed for being seated at a table in the main lounge, so we took up a couple open seats at bar instead. It was close to the band's set ending for the night, so no charge/cover. We took a look around the place, found it to have a nice atmosphere and customer friendly. The food was good and we had a couple of drinks, since we were not driving. Prices were pretty reasonable considering, we have seen better and worst, so we really do not complain too much, you're in downtown Atlanta. Most large cities prices are up a bit for food, entertainment and drinks. Bring good/comfortable walking shoes, due to the area being somewhat hilly. It is a shame the property does not stay open later than 10pm. I would loved to hear the band play more, but we came in around 9pm. The staff was very courteous and very approachable, open to questions and requests. All in all it was a nice place, I will stop in earlier next time we stay in Atlanta, so I can listen to the band get a better feel of the establishment.

Live music from local bands. The band featured this past week played a bunch of old Isley Brothers & Bill Withers, was pretty cool. The lead singer was very entertaining. The cuisine is "Southern smothered". I had the pork chops and they were a very good helping for the price and tasty. Come here to experience some local Hotlanta culture!

Excellent atmosphere to kick back and listen to music. Gumbo is excellent; burger is so so. But you will definitely groove at the Juke Joint

10/18/19 Our visit to sweet Georgia juke joint with family simply great the ambience was nice Good drinks and food delicious had smother porkchops cooked to perfection portion nice and good for the price. The band was awesome .would recommended on a visit to Atlanta. Definitely will visit again when in Atlanta

I was pleasantly surprised as to how good the food was. The menu is very limited with not a lot of variety but lots of fish dishes. I had the chicken and waffles and it was fantastic. I also had a drink and the 1950s champagne glass for a margarita was strange. Our party of 4 thought it was all great. The tab was $250, we had appetizers, drinks and food. Parking around the corner was $30.

I was in Atlanta for a quick business trip and wanted to try something other than the hotel lobby for dinner. My colleague had some the night before I arrived but agreed to return. Our hotel, AC by Marriott, provided a coupon for a free appetizer and we were off to dinner. We sat in the bar area whixh is separated by the main dining area by a half wall. So we could clearly see and hear the fantastic jazz trio that was playing this Thursday evening. Our coupon got us the Catfish bites as an appetizer. They were well seasoned and cooked perfectly with just a hint of crunch. I then had rhe fried chicken dinner with collard greens and macaroni and cheese. The greens were cooked with smoked turkey and were delicious! The crunch on the chicken was perfect. The taste was so unexpectedly good with a hint of sweetness in the skin and the meat well seasoned. The Mac and cheese was good but I think it had blue cheese so just be aware. Now for dessert I went with the bread pudding expecting to eat a couple bites only. OMG, it was like my NaNa made it. Not too sweet. Just the right density and a sauce that just made it better. I would definitely return in the future.

Fun place! The live music was great! The food and drinks were very good! The people and ambiance were very entertaining! I would highly recommend this place and look forward to going again. It is located downtown so you will to pay to park, they validate the lot directly behind the restaurant.

Should have known from the start when the host said very unfriendly like 'There's a $5 entertainment fee, we only take credit cards and there's a 2-hour limit on staying at the table.' Should've turned and left. The waitress was even less friendly about their 'no more than 2 checks per table' policy. They were understaffed so EVERYTHING took forever. On top of that, my food was inedible. I got the pulled pork dinner and the pork was previously burnt and served cold and over-salted. At our table of 7, one person got part of their order 15 minutes after the rest of the table and the rest of their order 5 minutes after that. Trying to order a second drink was impossible. The waitress said she would 'help us out' by taking our drink order. That was a mistake because then we had to wait for her to bring those checks when we could have checked out using the QR code. Without even trying to stretch out our time we were there for almost 2 hours. Don't go there unless you want to be disappointed. Or just go for a drink at the bar to hear the music.

The food was great. The staff was great, and so was the music. I would definitely go back. I wish I could have stayed longer.

My husband and I went on a whim the first night of our mini vacation. We managed to squeeze in by luck, so definitely make a reservation unless you don't mind waiting 45 minutes for a table. My one complaint is that the live music was too loud for such a small space. When the performer (who sounded like Beyoncé) wasn't up, the recorded music was a much better volume. Even though it was too loud for my husband and I to hear each other, the music was really good. The food... Oh my. My husband ordered the fried chicken, which was phenomenal. I don't know what kind of sweet magic they put in their batter, but it was unbelievably good and I don't even like fried chicken. I ordered the bayou salmon and it was the crispiest, most perfect fish I have ever had. They have a genius in the kitchen, for sure.

I absolutely adored this place and would highly recommend. The moment you step in, you are welcomed with love. I’m so glad I made a reservation. The music was world class blues, then Motown. The chicken and waffles was sooo good and hubby enjoyed his ribs. I loved the dancing. The service was great and we were surrounded by great energy. A must in Atlanta.

We went at the suggestion of a friend who had been here, and I was not disappointed. Upon entering you will be asked if you want to sit on the bar area or if you want to sit in the live music area (for a $5 cover). We chose the music area. Our table started with the collard greens and cabbage spring rolls. The greens and cabbage were well cooked (not overdone) and the crust was light and crispy. The sweet chili sauce topped it off nicely! I then had the seafood gumbo and a house salad. The salad was fresh and had plenty of goat cheese and pecans. The house dressing is a must! The gumbo was tasty and had just the right amount of kick. Of course, when offered some of a friends fried chicken I couldn't turn it down. Absolutely delicious!

I love this place more and more as I go. it is located across the street from the Atlanta grill on 200 Peachtree street. Paid Parking is available downhill across the street from the Ritz Carlton. $5 entertainment fee per person is added to your bill if you sit in stage area but the performances are worth it! Me and my wife had the juke joint fried chicken which comes with mac n cheese and greens omfg!!!!! DELICIOUS!! also ask for cornbread as well. They have a great drink menu but the iced tea is flawless! ENJOY!

The fried chicken is a must. My moonshine drink was bomb. The bread pudding u have to get. Lola the singer was the best thing all night. The has a great blues voice.

I got take-out from this restaurant the first night of a business trip. I was tired and wanted to stay in my room, but there was nothing on the room service menu to catch my eye. This place was just a few doors down from my hotel and they have fried green tomatoes - a must for me whenever I am in the South. I got the seafood gumbo and an order of the fried green tomatoes. Reasonably priced, food was ready quickly, staff was friendly, and the food was GOOD! I would definitely eat there again.

Let me begin by saying the atmosphere and the live music were top notch! The bacon wrapped shrimp as well as the shrimp and grits were heavenly! Everyone was so pleased with their food! We had a party of about 30. 18% tip was added on the front end. Our waitress did not take our group order. We were shown how to scan a bar code and place orders individually. The parties on each check had to close out their order before the next could begin their order. This process was a challenge and led to some getting food well before others had even submitted their orders. Not the way I envision enjoying dinner together. And many had issues getting their order to submit so the waitress had to come take the order herself. So if the capability was there to begin with, why not render the full service experience that a large group and an 18% tip should? And the opportunity to gain additional tip above that…. I would DEFINITELY return to enjoy this experience with a smaller party.

I stopped in for a quick bite after a conference. Great vibe and food! I sat at the bar and had a local beer as well as the catfish fingers. Being from Kentucky, I have had my share of catfish. Sweet Georgia's was fried beautifully. The fish was delightfully crispy and as a bonus there were a few spicy fried pickles on the plate. Lastly, it was served with a honey mustard. Being use to tartar or remoulade, the hm sauce was a pleasant surprise. In addition, there was a band jamming which made the experience even better.

This was our first trip to Atlanta so we wanted to try some good southern food. This restaurant was recommended to us so we tried it out. We went early, it was not that busy. It was a Tuesday evening. We sat at the bar. We ordered drinks which were fine. Not as great as I would have expected for a bar that specializes in moonshine drinks. The bartender Aramis was friendly and we found out that it was only his second night there so for being new I think he did a good job. We ordered fried wings which were just ok. We were planning on staying for dinner but honestly started to feel uncomfortable because the staff cared more about talking to each other than the customers. They hung around at the bar alot and chatted with each other. There was a woman that was behind the bar who was obviously a manager or owner because she was dressed differently than the waitstaff and was doing things on the computer. She didn't acknowledge us at all. Didn't even look up at us and smile nevermind ask us if everything was good. Overall kind of disappointing but maybe it was just an off night. If we were in the area again maybe I would give it a second chance.

The food was just awesome. And I thought my mother in law was the best cook in the south. Listening to the band playing jazz on a Sunday afternoon was the highlight of our trip. If you search jazz clubs in Atlanta this comes up high on the list.

Unaware of no hat policy until the maitre de literally pushed the sign in my face, not a great start. We missed the nightly entertainment which to me was probably best ($10 per person on the bill if someone is playing). My wife ordered red rice and beans as something she wanted to try, 15 minutes later they said it would be an hour wait for it. Uh, strike two, we didn't hit three. The meal was good and the evening salvaged, it was pleasant, maybe I expect too much to be fair. Just a couple things rubbed me a bit.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE/ HORRIBLE WAIT TIME!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO THERE. It was Superbowl Weekend in ATL and a couple of friends and I walked in door and they took people in front of us who were not even on their special Reservation List, And we were told one and half hours wait time. Understanding the crowds because of Superbowl, We WAITED for 2 hours and never received services. The manager stated, we got "270 reservations anyway so!" WHO DOES 270 RESERVATIONS, REALLY??? I exclaimed to him, that its best to turn peeps at the door and say you can't take anymore guests if you cant be vocal about then maybe you need NEW Management! Because many people were waiting in the front to be serviced. They also make you pay for some sorry singing Off-Key Artists, I'm happy I left and I will never return.

A fun atmosphere with live music. Food is delicious. We tried the chicken and waffles, fried chicken, and Jambalaya Pasta with Crawfish. Know that a $5/person entertainment fee is automatically applied to your bill if you’re in the dining room during the live music, but it’s worth the extra $.

Came to Atlanta on a business trip and stopped in here for dinner. I had the Jambalaya Pasta and it was excellent. Great dinner atmosphere

I love this location, I always bring my friends from out of town here and they love it. I just had my last bday party there.

I dined in the bar area at the Juke Joint and had a great time. The NY strip is excellent! Highly recommend it. Please follow it up with the peach cobbler, it is to die for. Worth the cobbler alone. You can hear the music from the bar area and the band playing the night I was there was very good. I had a great experience and you won't be disappointed. It was very busy on a Thursday night so a reservation for the dining area may be needed.

Delicious fried chicken. Good service. Nice decor. Historic location. We all enjoyed our dinner early on a Sunday evening. No music. There is a $5 charge if they have live music.

We were in town for a trade show, threw a proverbial dart at a restaurant list and hit Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint. Talk about luck! From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere and vibe, this place was perfect for a bunch of northerners trying to get a fun Atlanta experience. Trya, our hostess, was absolutely wonderful. She explained the menu well and spent more than enough time with us. The music wasn't too loud, and the atmosphere was great. Now for what you want to hear ... THE FOOD. We had the trout, the fried chicken and the BBQ Ribs. All of them were amazing. But the chicken. Man oh man, the chicken. Flavorful, marinated well and fried to perfect. We didn't hesitate to recommend Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint to all of our colleagues.

The service was good but slow, but the food and entertainment was awesome. The recommend the fried chicken and sides of collards, Mac and cheese along with cheese grits. Keep in mind if you go after 7 pm a $5 entertainment fee is charged to your bill. I guess a quiet way to push a cover charge.

Loved the food, loved the atmosphere, loved the service! Will definitely be back when we visit Atlanta

This place is right by the Peachtree Center MARTA stop. Casual, fun atmosphere. At 7 pm the music starts, first of 3 sets each lasting 45 minutes. Our night was a 4 piece (vocals, bass guitar, drums and keyboards) who were very good. Mostly R+B popular songs (think Earth Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye, etc) all envoking singing along from the audience. Very fun- and the singer had a great voice. Dinner- southern food. Our waitress said that the fried chicken was the most popular and I saw platter after platter coming out. I had the creole penne and it was very good, my wife had peach glazed salmon, also very good. For desert our server recommended peach cobbler (ice cream $2 more) and it was huge- easily enough for 2 people or more. For a fun, casual evening- this is a good place. Tips: Make reservations, I recommend 645 so you are seated before the music starts and you can get your order in as it gets busier and food drink deliver slow down a little. Second- there is a $5 cover per person added to the bill- well worth it. Third- cashless.

The food was delicious! I had the fried chicken and slaw-fabulous. It could easily be the best fried chicken I’ve had! However, I can’t give five stars because the service was AWFUL. They weren’t busy but it took forever to be seated and then be waited on. I watched my draft beer sit on the bar for a good ten minutes (getting hot) before they brought it to me.

We really had a great time at this establishment. The wait time (30 minutes) wasn’t bad, which was on a Saturday night. The waitstaff, the food and the band was awesome!! We really enjoyed ourselves. Can’t wait to return.

First time here and the atmosphere was great. We loved it and the food was on point. I had the salmon and my wife had the honey drizzled chicken. And the great music

This is a nice and cozy place to stop in for a bite. The music was an added plus. It seems to be a hot spot in ATL so I'm glad I arrived early. It was near the hotel I was staying.

We went to celebrate our friend's upcoming wedding. The atmosphere was good. We had reservations so we didn't have to wait. The food was very good. The wings had a good taste to them. The music was good. We took Uber so parking was not an issue. Glad we did because not being from that area and trying to find a parking space would not have been a good experience.

We were in Atlanta for a business trip and decided to try something different near our hotel. The food was AMAZING (fried chicken, Mac & cheese, collards / peach glazed salmon, mashed potatoes, green beans / peach cobbler)! If you’re looking for some good Southern comfort food, check this place out. They also have live music in the evening. Service was also great.

I had the fried chicken dinner. The chicken was average, but the collard greens was excellent. The others in my party had a variety of menu items and relported that they were very good. There was a band playing and they were excellent. Fortunately the band was not too loud and allowed normal conversation at the table.

We came in from the street and got a spot in the bararea. We enjoyed the music and some Classic fried chicken. Tasted great and we had a good time.

We ordered take away from this restaurant. The fried chicken was sweet. The collard greens were runny and full of meat. The gumbo was one note - just heat with no flavour. The Mac n cheese was a bit lacklustre. The peech cobbler and the apple spiced bread pudding were kind of sicky and were soggy by the time we ate them. The highlight for sure was the side of grits but I’m glad I didn’t order a full meal of them as they may have been too rich in a larger quantity. Perhaps the restaurant should not offer take away as it just didn’t seem like the food travelled well the way it was packaged. The service was not very friendly either and they still charged 18% gratuity for take away. Made for an expensive disappointment

Wow. The music was a real plus the weeknight night we were there. The food was excellent. We tried the trout and also the fried chicken. They were both excellent as were all the sides and appetizers. Service was also top notch. A bit loud if that's not what you're looking for and a bad band would definitely detract but we got lucky. Reservations via Open Table saved me a wait and got me a great table.

We decided to try Georgia's since it was within walking distance of our hotel. It was a fun surprise. The night we were there the staff seemed short handed so things were taking some time but we were not in a hurry so we enjoyed our drinks and the fun band. Our group tried the fried chicken (YUM!) and shrimp and grits (YUM!). Very generous portions. We were there during the week so I'm sure during the weekend it can be very crowded so make your reservations accordingly.

We walked in and the band was playing “Georgia,....Georgia” and we were won over. Great food, moonshine drinks were fun to try. Would recommend

We came for my sister's birthday dinner as a family. You have timed seating, there is a fee for live music. You are not allowed to bring in any birthday cakes. The service was terrible, the trout was not fresh. Some other plates foods were cold. My food was ok not the best, I didn't eat it all. Gratuity is included for groups.

Me and a coworker went here for dinner on a Monday night. We made reservations prior and were immediately seated. The live band was amazing! WE ordered an appetizer- it wasn't that good because it came out lukewarm and not hot. But our food was AMAZING! I ordered chicken and waffles and she ordered the fried talapia. We shared mac and cheese because it looked so good. I recommend this place to eat! Great atmosphere!

Went with a large party and had to request manager assistance twice. We had 2 people in the party with a medical condition in which they could only eat small portions and was told by the service that ordering appetizers only was not allowed. We had a group of 28 all ordering entrees and alcoholic beverages, what difference did it make if 2 ordered only appetizers for a medical reason? The food was mediocre at best. I paid $45 and did not enjoy the food, sent it back twice for being cold. Would not return and the next group meeting spot will not be there. One positive note was the music which was amazing.

Visited for dinner on a Tues night and was kind of disappointed. Because its a live music venue, they add a $5 pp entertainment fee to your bill and everyone in the party must order an entrée. We ordered a few appetizers which were hit or miss (the shrimp was fantastic, the fried green tomatoes not so much). I was so excited to have chicken and waffles for dinner and that was a big let down. It was a waffle with fried chicken wings on the side. Honestly I've had better wings from the frozen section of the grocery store. The waffle was pretty good. The drinks were good but overpriced. We had one guest in our party who showed up after most of us had finished eating and the waitress told him that if he wanted to stay he had to order an entrée. That felt a little foolish since we'd spent several hundred dollars and all five of us had finished eating. Anyway, great atmosphere and the music was fantastic. The food left a little to be desired.

This place sounded good so we thought we would give it a try. I ordered the Juke Joint Fried Chicken and was not disappointed. It was a hugh portion and I couldn't finish all of it. It was really good. The person I was with ordered the Smothered Pork Chops. Once again it was a hugh portion. The only complaint they had about the pork chops was they were smothered in gravey so that took away from the crispiness of the port chops. The food was good though and I would go here again.

The concierge at our hotel recommended this restaurant as a great dinner location within walking distance of our hotel. We received an email confirmation that was a little off putting with lots of “rules”. Hold reservation for 15 minutes after scheduled time, $5 entertainment charge per person when there is live music, every person must order their own entree, and you could not stay at your table longer than 2 1/2 hours. We didn’t really have any problem with any of it except my husband I frequently share an entree. I felt like the service was mediocre...my husband had to ask for lemons 3 times, asked for ketchup but it took so long to get there we’d already eaten the food we wanted it for, and one of our party didn’t get their wine until we asked for it again. The food was delicious. We got the southern sampler appetizer. Four fried green tomatoes, a few fried onions and a hand full of fried okra. Could have used a little more okra and fried onions. Again, we asked for the tomatoes with the goat cheese on the side and it came on the tomatoes. I had the fried chicken salad with ranch and it was really good. Onions, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, and fried chicken thighs that were crispy and tasty. 2 of our party got the Crab cakes with steak fries. Good, but both agreed they preferred thinner crispier crab cakes. The last person with is got the house salad with pecans, fried onions and grilled shrimp. She loved the shrimp, particularly. They provided really yummy corn muffins with honey butter before the meal. They were addictive!

I've heard many great things about Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint and was super excited to take my aunt and friends here while she's visiting Atlanta. We arrive and the establishment isn't too busy. The hostess doesn't really offer much of a greeting but simply asks if we've been here before. We say no. She reads through a list of policies and asks us if we still want to dine here (this should have been a warning). We say yes and she offers us a table in the bar area and tells us to wait while a table is being cleaned. After waiting about 15 minutes, the table still hasn't been attended to. Since it was just after 5pm, more patrons are walking in and it's starting to get busier so I ask the hostess if we should sit at the table since this is a bar area and seating usually is open at a bar. She still advised that we wait in the lobby area and that she would get someone to clean the table. We wait another 15 minutes and two other customers walk in and talk to the hostess and the hostess points to the table she offered us in the bar area and the customers walk to this table, sits down, and the bar waitress immediately walks over and cleans the table and starts taking their order. At this point, it’s busy and there aren't any other tables available (bar or main dining area). We get the attention of the hostess and ask for an update. She tells us she'll talk with the bar waitress and disappears. We can still see the bar waitress taking their order and tending to her customers. We grab her attention and advise her of the situation and she tells us that's not her problem and to speak with the hostess and then she disappears also. At this point, we are searching Yelp for another restaurant in the area before we walk out. After about another 10-15 minutes, the hostess returns and continues with incoming customers as if we aren't even still standing in the same spot where she left us. We tell her what the waitress says and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "Well, yeah there's nothing I can do. Do you still want to stay?" We left…….to be such a landmark restaurant, what a terrible first impression! We ended up walking a few steps over to Meehan’s Public House about 3 or 4 doors down and had a blast! Amazing food and customer service. They were busier than Sweet Georgia Juke Joint and we had a totally different experience – seated right away, attentive waiter, great atmosphere. All we were missing was live music…..but not to worry! We checked out the Sundial restaurant atop the Westin Hotel which is another few steps away and had some amazing drinks and listened to some AWESOME live music FOR NO ADDITIONAL COST with an AMAZING view for the rest of the evening. Save your money and time and walk a few steps over and check out Meehan’s and the Westin Sundial Bar!!! You can thank me later! ;)

The setting is unique and beautiful. The food was excellent. Our waitress was absolutely adorable and so fun to speak with. The music was excellent. I highly recommend this place.

We came to Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint because the name got our attention. We had just arrived in Atlanta and looking for somewhere to eat for lunch. But they were closed and getting ready for dinner. We came back for dinner. We had a nice time they have live entertainment the food was ok. I would recommend this place for the entertainment the picture of me and the lady in white it was her birthday

You don't have a waitress, all of the menu is on a QR code and pour description of what comes with the meal so you end up ordering sides that you don't need. No waitress and there was an automatic 18% add to the bill, then we were charged $5 a person after 6:30 Food was average at best.

We were blown away at having such a great music, food, hospitality experience so close to the conference centre. We went for supper and had great chicken and waffles, ribs, collard greens (a first!) and the most excellent mac & cheese. The cocktails were fabulous. The music was insane. We were honoured with Milkshake Mayfield and his band. This was incredible quality that we were reluctant to leave. So, we came back for brunch the next day and again, great experience and wonderful music.

Bacon wrapped shrimp was excellent!! The reason for the poor review is that the in restaurant menu shows fried chicken and waffle. Unfortunately, it’s actually less than tasty fried chicken wings with a great waffle.

Our waitress and food were fine. The manager and the rest of the staff were rude and uninviting. The manager refused to sit our group of twenty together, splitting us into two different sections of the room. Then, we sat there the entire time we were there and watched the empty table next to us. Our group of twenty included visitors in Atlanta from California, Maryland, Kentucky, and Texas. Needless to say, none of us will visit the Juke Joint again.

This place is so much fun and the food is awesome. They have live music and a $5 cover charge to sit in the room with the entertainment. We had crab cakes and fried chicken meals - both excellent! Sides were excellent also.

Although once we entered we realised we were not the usual patrons that go, our thoughts were completely unfounded, the staff and the other patrons made us feel incredibly welcome. The food was amazing, so was the band and the ambience. We have not enjoyed a night like that for many years and cannot wait to return. If you are in Atlanta I urge and encourage you to go, you will not be disappointed.

I had dinner here at the airport restaurant and the service was good and my meal came out quick. My meal came to $28.00 with two bud lights. Good place to eat while waiting to catch a flight.

Although I didn’t eat here it smelled great all around me. The music from the curb sounded amazing so I popped in for a beverage - which was awesome - but the music was amazing!! I’ll be back.

Heard a lot of good things about this place but I wasn't overly impressed. Food was average, Service was minimal. Felt like they were rushing us to leave once the band started playing. I had no problem leaving since my beer was empty for more than 15 minutes and the band wasn't that good anyway.

Soul food is nothing something that I normally gravitate to, but boy was I surprised. We order two plates of wings as a starter to share between the three of us. Based on the all the wings we have ever eaten, we thought 16 would be a nice start. These were not your average size wings, they were huge. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. After the wings I was glad that I had only order a half rack of ribs. Which I will say were just as delicious.

This place doesn’t look great but it has a warm welcome. The menu is simple, for appetisers, mains and drinks but there’s something good in that. All wines come by the glass or bottle, there’s a range of cocktails and both draft and bottled beers. We simply walked up and were able to get seated on the front terrace. Our server was delightful and helpful. Service was great and pretty quick. They don’t take cash, only cards.

Had dinner with colleagues while attending a conference at the Hyatt Regency. No cash accepted. Credit debit only. Musical entertainment was fun. Food was ok, I had pulled pork. Service is slow. Stopped at the bar for another drink. Pleasant bar maid who kept reminding us we can leave her a cash tip.

Made our way while in Atlanta to this great little place that has it all! Music some amazing R&B soulful music and great food! We started by sitting in the bar area so we can hear each other talk, then added an appetizer the Southern starter. Followed by The Juke Joints Fried chicken and an order of Jambalaya. Mmmmm Service was bar service so it was the bar tender helping the full bar and our high top. We added hush puppies, creamed corn and Mac cheese. Was so good the fried chicken was drizzled with honey, and the jambalaya had a slight kick to it. Music was excellent and if I could have finished it all I might have exploded!

This Canadian had the best evening out at Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint! Hubby was on a business trip to Atlanta so I accompanied him to hang out with my best friend, also from Canada, who is living in Atlanta now. I now see why she wants to stay here. Southern hospitality is unlike anything I've ever experienced before. It is so beautiful! The atmosphere was so upbeat, the food was delicious, the staff were so friendly and attentive and the live music was off the hook! These musicians should have a record contract if they don't already! Food portions were generous and I finally had my first taste of collard greens and authentic Southern Fried Chicken. Thank you to everyone at Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint for a dining experience I will treasure forever. You are all fabulous!

Ate here with friends while in town for a work conference. Yummy. Gracious. Fun music. Sorry I couldn’t eat more:) Come hungry y’all!

If you’re looking for some live music then this is a great place, whether you’re wanting just drinks or food to accompany. I turned up early evening without a reservation so was only able to sit at the bar, but this provided great service from the friendly staff. There’s a nice food menu and a couple of the appetisers gave the perfect snack I was looking for. The catfish fingers and prawns were sizeable, hot and very tasty. There’s a good range of draught drinks available too. It’s not the cheapest of places, and they levy a $10 charge for the live music at 7pm, even if you get the bill at 7:01pm, but if you’re hanging around for the evening then that’s not too bad. A nice place and a good spot to catch up with friends.

I made reservations for our group of six about a month in advance of us attending a conference at a nearby hotel based on all of the great reviews. And, we were definitely not disappointed. We arrived at 6:00 and were seated at a large round table. By 6:30 the place was completely full. The live music started at 7:00, which was awesome. Our server was friendly and attentive and answered the many questions we had. Everyone really enjoyed their food and drinks. I ordered the fried chicken; the portions were quite generous. The chicken and mac-n-cheese were delicious. They allow you to substitute the sides listed in the menu, which is really helpful. Overall, a must-do and must-eat location if in the area as the ambiance and food are a rich cultural experience that left everyone fulfilled.

grown folks, loved it, i will be back!!!!! The band Sol of Atlanta was awesome! The music was just right

We reserved a table for 6 at 6 pm on a Tuesday. Great service and attentive waiter. Our table tried three appetizers including the southern sampler. All were good. Meals included chicken and waffles , pulled pork, and crab cakes. Sides included hopping john and collard greens. All was excellent although the pulled pork received a lower rating. Desert was banana pudding and apple cobbler. Try the deserts! Live music started at 7 pm. We stayed until around 8 pm. Maximum seating time is 2.5 hours. My wife and I agreed coming at 7 pm ( with a reservation) would be optimal. Great southern food and music!

This is the place to eat weel seasoned food. We're from NOLA .We had ths ribs which were cooked perfertly ,they fell off the bone, the mac and cheese was very good too. With the live music being played it made for a nice outing. It's a ten min walk to the Omni,so you can walk it down.

How do you make a reservation at the Juke Joint? The Open Table link does not work. I call and no one answers. I leave a message no one calls me back. Do I need to drive there? SMH

Don’t use the paperless system from your table. We were billed three times and the fourth time, the one when we got food, has yet to appear on our card. The food was of airport quality (a better word is substance) but the service was pretty good. A tip of the hat to the table service who handle our billing issue, and the others around us, like pros.

It was too crowded to get into eat when I went, so I learned my first lesson about this place: get there early so you can eat to live music. Luckily, we came back an hour later and got a bar table so we could dance and drink. How ever you do it, get yourself in there.

This is an airport location so my expectations were not too high, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I guess I was expecting regular airport food, but the chicken sandwich was delicious and the service was wonderful. Wyaisha took great care of me and I'll stop by again when I'm flying through Atlanta again. Thank you!

I drove from the east side. I parked at 45 Decatur St SE parking. Make sure you check the time of opening. I parked at 3:00 they didn’t open until 4:00 so I had a hour to kill. So I was walking in the area the city is alive I love ❤️ the energy in that area. I don’t see that on my side of town it’s a different environment. So I went here after 4:00. Prices are different for lunch and Dinner. I got half a fried chicken delicious 🤤 with mashed potatoes and gravy and collard greens with smoked turkey and I believe a small container of pot liquor also peach cobbler. I already ate the breast and wing missing in my pic. Also peach cobbler was in my bag.

We had an early lunch at Sweet Georgia's on Jan. 25th. We had a long layover on our flight to Savannah. Aryancia pushed the breakfast a little since we were almost over the time limit for breakfast service. My husband ordered the American breakfast and he was very pleased with his two eggs and potato order. I opted for their macaroni and cheese which was delicious and I also ordered a side of okra. both were excellent and if in terminal C again with a long wait will stop. Aryancia, was very efficient and took good care of us.

So the first time we went, it was closed… then we got it while it was open! It was awful!!! Just do not waste your time or your money!!!

I happened upon this venue while surfing the internet. Reviews the website abs made a reservation. Loved it, loved it!!!! From entry to exit ...., Fabulous Personnel, service, ambience, entertainment and most of all the food was scrumptious! I highly recommend Atlanta/Georgia residents and visitors to please patronize this venue ..you will return over and over again.

They made our friends get up from their table at their so-called two hour limit. Despite the fact that there were plenty of empty tables. We went to the bar and were repeatedly interrupted by their security guard and told to stand out of the way because people are trying to get through, which was not true. There was no one there. Then our friends were eventually asked to leave because they had “been there too long.“ They clearly did not want us there. Horrible place

Good food, good drinks and good love music. We got there about 6:15 not knowing what to expect. We are from our of town. We were told there was a $5 charge per person to sit in the dining room for the music. Ok, no problem We left happy and full. I started with a millionaire mojito--great recommendation from the server. Ordered fried chicken (delicious) and waffles. The music started around 6:30.... two hours later, the music was over and we had a great night. I'd go again in a heart beat. Service was a little slow, but it was packed and our server was hustling. She worked hard. Really, no complaints.

The music was out of this world. We went on. Saturday night and stood for a long time at the bar before we got a seat but the music was so good who cares. The drinks were amazing the wings divine and the vibe was just what we wanted. The owners cane over introduced themselves and bought us shots. We loved the R&B. Isidro and I ran on. Tree floor and danced with strangers. Jukes Joint I’ll be back for more good times. The bomus is that the MARTA is just across the road.

Check this one off my list. Cool vibe place with good musicians. Food is reasonably priced but not fantastic. I had bayou salmon with broccolini. Ok, but nothing to write home about. Bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer was good. Drinks could be stronger and more in volume for the price. Glad I tried it but not on a “must go again” list.

If you are visiting Atlanta as we were and looking for an experience with Jazz and Blue's for the first time and local style food , this is the place, we couldn't have been more out of place 6 Chinese who mostly cannot speak English and me one white Australian, but what an experience and night, terrific band who are very interactive and local food, chicken and fish dishes were not only large but very good, best night we have had out for entertainment in 5 years of travel, thank you

Long winded review of my experience with this establishment. If you want to know the details read below and if you need the short-form DON’T GO. If you are person like me and you are reading reviews trying to make a decision here is your answer DON’T GO. I’ll help you and suggest for you to try Ted’s Montana Grill you won’t be disappointed. I stopped by Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint on 9/30/23 a few minutes right before 4:30. This is my first time in Atlanta, GA (I came here for a women’s conference) and decided to explore the downtown Atlanta area. I looked at the website for Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint as well as the information on Google. It looked cute and being an out of towner I like to eat at local eateries and figured I would give this a try. I also saw that the restaurant offered a peach cobbler and was looking forward to eating something peachy since I’m in Georgia. I walked from the Coca-Cola museum up the hill to reach this restaurant. Hot, sweating, and tired I was happy when I finally made it. The happiness stopped suddenly as I walked into that restaurant. There were 3 young ladies at the hostess station that just stared at me when I approached the station. There was no hello, hi, welcome, how can I help you. Because of the very cold exchange I asked if reservations were needed which they responded no. I advised a table would be needed for two which one of the ladies began talking (for me it was mumbling) with her hands in front of her mouth. Because of the mumbling and her hands in front of her mouth I could not understand what she was saying. She clarified what she said and it was something about the amount of time you have at the table and the fee for when the band comes out in the evening if you do not leave before then. Due to the lack customer service and warm friendliness my mother and I left immediately. I didn’t care that I had just walked in the heat, up a hill, and sweating. The atmosphere of the place was awful. Being a out of towner and the area being a tourist attraction area I thought businesses would be more friendly but this is not it. I DO NOT recommend this establishment. The 3 ladies at the hostess station were not professional or welcoming. Nevertheless my mom and I went to Ted’s Montana Grill which had a excellent service and shoutout to the lady at the hostess station that was sweet. Ted’s I would tag you if I could :) but I’ll leave a sweet review on your page. Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint there is nothing sweet about your restaurant. If you are a person like I am and read reviews before going to restaurants and you made it this far let me save you the trip, walk, and disappointment but don’t go here. I can’t comment on the food since I didn’t eat it but the first customer service interaction I had was horrible. DON’T GO HERE! Go to Ted’s Montana Grill.

We were seated without a wait and without a reservation, which at first was a pleasant surprise. But once we got seated we waited 25 minutes. We had three servers tell us that another server was going to help us. After another 5 minutes we walked out. I was not going to allow a reverse form of discrimination happen to me and my daughter. I thought that was done with during the MLK. . I wish I had never walked in.

We sat at the tables by the bar. The bartender was super sweet. Very attentive. The food was absolutely perfect. Collard greens, fried chicken, mac & cheese, I mean seriously perfect. I cannot wait to come back with the rest of my family !

Quickly seated. Choice of sitting in main dining room for a $5 entertainment fee to watch band “Fantastic Voyage” which is wonderful. Three gentlemen playing sax piano and drums. The drummer can saaang too!! Beautiful voice coming out if a big xxxl brother who my guess was brought up in the church singing and playing the drums because he is anointed for sure!! I had the Smothered pork chops which were great!!! Not exactly smothered but I preferred it this way rather than all the flavor in a pile of gravy!! My coworker had the trout, he says it was very good as well. Next time it’s shrimp n grits!!! Def recommend it! And if you parked behind the restaurant the will validate you’re parking. Can’t beat that!🤗

We arrived when they opened. It took a few minutes to the server to come over. Finally got water and iced teas. Ordered an appetizer and our entrees. The app was a little late. It was decent. We never got the entrees. I had to ask someone to check on our food. She came back and said it will be about 15 mins. Nope. We just ordered pork chops and 2 sides. If we’ve been seated in the restaurant for 40 minutes and it’s another 15 minutes, that means either you didn’t put our order in or you cancelled when 2 other couples walked out. You didn’t notice as you kept walking by? Ever again.

Southern Starter was best part of evening, but it went down hill from there. Burger was raw, crab cakes very fishy and service very slow. I would suggest Pitty Pats just around the corner, much better food!!!

Music was fantastic! Bartender was top notch HOWEVER do not go!!! There was no fun allowed while spending several hundred dollars on food and drinks. Rude reminders of two hour policy at table, ordering of gods and drink only on the app by one table patron allowed, waiter was not on his game (food was cold, drinks left setting at bar had to retrieve ourselves). Despite being told we could enjoy drinks at the bar after having to leave our dinner table while several other tables were open and available, our ability to enjoy stories and conversation were strictly monitored by two security officers. Ultimately our party left earlier than planned due to rudeness of security staff.

I went on 2.23 for my birthday - made reservations in mid January and purchased a Bday cake- I was so looking forward to seeing the Band "In Da Groove" which was outstanding by the way, the only issue is that we were lucky enough to get a racist waitress - I am white as well as my husband and our 4 other friends are African American - I do not understand the racist issue, because I am not one - you are either nice or you are well not nice lol. This waitress and the Mgr tried to ruin my Bday party and my evening but I did not let them. The service stunk- but she gave excellent service to all of her other tables. She brought out my cake - 45 minutes after I asked for it - with no plates, forks or knife to cut or eat it - I asked for a box ($45 dollar cake) and she brought it back in a box with grease finger prints on it - and it was bent, it looked like she had gotten the box out of the garbage - it got so bad that the customers at our surrounding tables were apologizing to me for her and the female Mgr's bad behavior! The gave me my money back for the cake and 1/2 of the 20% gratuity that they automatically put on the bill. But I will never go back there, and this makes me sad. I thought we were all done with the racist thing in Atlanta. I hope the Juke Joint lets this waitress and the Mgr go do "their thing" at another establishment.

Made reservations, checked in and still was never seated so found 2 spots at the bar where the service was not much better. For service to be this bad throughout this establishment it has to stem from management....on a positive note the band was great.

The day before my conference I went to Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint because 2 years ago the line up was out the door during the conference and I couldn't get in. It's worth the visit. The pulled pork was very good and the service was given with that gracious southern hospitality. It's not a very large place and they have live music in the dining area which I believe they charge a surcharge on your bill for that.

This place has live music which is nice but it ends there. The ordering is from your phone and the whole experience seems confusing and very impersonal. The food wasn't that special at all. Overall, we were made to feel that we were lucky to get a table, as if we were annoying the staff by being there and as if this were some exclusive place but nothing about it deserved that!

We were really looking forward to hanging out here but from the minute we walked in, it was like we weren’t welcome. The hostess was so rude. The bartender was rude. The waitress was rude. Even the people sitting next to us commented on how rude everyone was!!!The fried green tomatoes served with fried okra & goat cheese were great but not worth the terrible service so we went down to Max Lagers for dinner & had an excellent meal & service! Keep your rude attitudes at home!!

I don’t remember when I felt more welcome in a restaurant. I had a take out order and waited at the bar. The young lady and the other gentleman ruins the bar were so friendly and funny. I felt like I had known them both for years. The crab cakes and burgers were fantastic!!!!

We went last night since it was the last day of our four-day quick trip. We sat at the bar. We ordered catfish, fried chicken, mac and cheese, and collards. The chicken was warm so that was disappointing. The greens and catfish were good. The music was nice, I didn't mind the loudness since the band was going to be starting at 7. Probably wouldn't go again.

Our server was not great but the rest of the staff including the singer with the band were awesome. My daughter had the fried chicken and eggs. I had the pulled pork biscuit. Everything was delicious. You do have to pay $5 extra to sit in the main dining room because there is a live band.

We waited over an hour, but the atmosphere and food was worth the wait. We had to pay a entertainment fee of $5.00. I wish we had made a reservation. The live entertainment was great! The food was good. I appreciated the fried green tomatoes as our appetizer and the fried chicken and macaroni and cheese! It was a great Welcome to Atlanta meal! The food prices are very reasonable and the portions are plentiful.

Great find, with good authentic 3 piece band playing thought. Food was good but is it all local choices and in the south it’s all deep fried. Too much for me, but well done if you like it. Would return and have lighter food choices if I return to Atlanta.

Visited Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint last night and to say it was subpar is an understatement! Choose the location for my Mother’s 60th birthday based off of the reviews seen on TripAdvisor. We had a party of 12. It took over 45 minutes to get our food and 30 mins to even receive our drinks. The alcoholic beverages that were made must have sat at the bar awhile before being brought to us, because by the time they arrived at our table the ice was melted in the cocktails. Out of the 12 people who ate dinner 7 entrees were over cooked or undercooked. Our meals were not served together and when the managemnt was notified the second time of our horrific experience she only offered an apology and to replace “some”of the uneaten unappetizing meals😒. The band was mediocre. In all we spent over $400.00 to end up HUNGRY-AGGREGATED-OVER IT.... Don’t waste your money.

I was in Atlanta for a work conference and ate at this establishment which was just down the street from my hotel. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the fried chicken which was a little sweet. I was not expecting that pleasant surprise! We came before the live music started but were there for a bit of the band. They were not too loud and very pleasant to listen to. This was my first time in a restaurant with a menu like this. I enjoyed it and would come back again.

Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint is a popular place for a meal and music. We did not have reservations, but by sitting at the bar that included full menu service, we were able to be seated quickly. The bar area was pleasant and our order was taken quickly. There is an extra charge if you sit in the dining area for the entertainment, BUT you do not have to pay it if you are in the bar area. The bonus is that you hear all of the music anyway. My husband had the ribs and I had the pasta jambalaya. We both enjoyed our meal. It was a great evening!

We came here for an early lunch on 12/16/2018, and expected a lengthy wait. To my surprise, we were immediately seated! Note: There is a 5$ entertainment fee to sit in the main floor when the band is present. Not a big deal, but I did overhear a few patrons say they didn't know. The band is cool, but the food was amazing! The biscuits melt in your mouth! They did come with a chili sauce rather than strawberry jam (preferred lol). I opted for a side of fried okra as an appetizer (meh), and both my cousin and I ordered the chicken and waffles and a side of mac and cheese. DIVINE! That mac & cheese tasted like my grandmother made it! The fried chicken is seasoned to perfection, and the waffle was crunchy and delicious! The drinks were also really good! My favorite is the Peachtree Tea! I don't drink moonshine, but this minty treat may have changed my mind lol.
Nice
