For crepe fans , a nice surprise in Texas

By Sydneypoo |

In the middle of a mall, the location is easily accessible and the food is surprisingly good. Not full service, you order at the bar and they have all king of crêpe entrée giving you the possibility to find what you like.

Excellent

The crepes were outstanding and they have great coffee too. Looked like they have some good happy hour specials too.

Just amazing

This place is fantastic.... crepes are for sure not frozen and taste very fresh. Home made whipped cream was also very good. So many options and great milkshakes as well such as Tiramisu milk shake!

Girls Day Out

By PropGirl |

My friend, who has travelled through Paris, and I went for breakfast. We found reviews were very good so figured we would try it. We each ordered a savory crepe and one dessert crepe th share. The dessert crepe was very good; however, the savory crepes were another story. The crepes looked and tasted as though they were pre-made and kept warm. This gave them a lukewarm and slightly tough texture. The eggs were lukewarm also. My friend commented that the food and service was nothing like Paris. We expected our savory crepes to be hot and fresh, which much to our disappointment, were not. Another lady who came in for the first time decided to order an omelet. Apparently a wise choice as she said hers was freshly made and hot. I give Sweet Paris 2 stars for the ambiance.

Cute brunch

This is a over the counter and sit-down kind of restaurant. It's very casual yet stylish interior. The food was pretty good. I ordered the mexican breakfast crepe and a soy latte. Delicious!

So Glad to have a Restaurant like this!

My daughter and I just ate breakfast at Sweet Paris, and I’m so thrilled to finally have a Creperie nearby. We had the breakfast Canada crepe, and it’s filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese and potatoes. It come with a very slight drizzle of maple syrup. It was fantastic! Then we shared Dos Leches crepe and it has Nutella, bananas and strawberries! It was also amazing. Definitely will be eating there soon. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offer a happy hour every afternoon! Ohhh La La

Crepes are the bomb!

By Northernprairiedog4 |

Just what we needed for lunch a brunch! Crepes are special to our family with Swedish heritage. I ordered Crème brûlée crepe and My daughter had the strawberry et al crepe. Hers was better but overall the crepe itself is solid. Not a huge mall or Shops guy but would Return for these crepes.

Hectic But Yummy

Let’s start with how cute this restaurant is! Love the patio and the decorations inside-especially the Eiffel Tower number holders for the tables. That being said, I’m afraid they have not realized how popular they are going to be and may already need a bigger restaurant. The crepes are delicious! Our table shared a Philly Cheesesteak, Lemon and Allison’s Parfait. Each of these crepes were light a yummy! Allison’s Parfait was the table’s favorite and a portion of the sale of this crepe goes to the San Antonio Food Bank. A win-win for sure!

Disappointed since they specialize in crepes.

There are few restaurants that offer good crepes and I've seen this restaurant during previous visits to La Cantera Mall. I've had some good crepes over the past three decades a few times since there are so few places that offer crepe dishes. I ordered the Chicken Florentine crepe. I was disappointed. The crepe seemed rather thick and rubbery and only part of the crepe was covered with gravy. The filling was not very tasty. It came with a side salad dressed in vinaigrette. .I recall crepes being lighter in texture and tasting so much more flavorful. It cost $14. I won't be back. I've enclosed a pic after eating the end of it. They fold them in a triangle shape.

Amazing crepes!

Amazing crepes, good service (albeit a little slow at peak times), great atmosphere! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and can't wait to return. This restaurant is located at The Shops at La Cantera, and there is seating inside and outside.

Order mix up

Several of us visited here for the first time recently and met for lunch. If you've never been to La Cantera Shopping Center let me say that parking can be a nightmare. We met early at around 11 and still could not find close parking on the lane in front of the place. There is a large parking lot behind both backs of the buildings but then you have to walk a bit. There is handicap parking on the inside street but again it is rarely available. The place is small but plenty of seating and even after it got busier for lunch there were still seats available and the noise level was low. You order at the counter, which isn't a very big area, and then they bring the food to you. We all ordered similar but different items, no breakfast as it was after 11 but did order lunch crepes. When they brought the first three out they didn't say what they were only by table numbers they had given us. They all pretty much looked the same to us. A couple of people waited longer to get their order. Then two of us realized after a few bites that our orders had been switched but not wanting to trade plates at that point we ate completely different food than we ordered. One was a Chicken Alfredo @ $9.95 and the other was Turkey, Grapes & Brie @ $9.50. All of the food was good and filling and presentation was nice but better if they say what they are handing out rather than going by numbers when there are several sitting on a table together and again all the crepes look similar. The tea was a bit week but sufficed. Looking around at other orders of people seated close by there was a variety of crepes and they also have paninis. The dessert crepes looking very sweet and more to share than one person eating them. There is only one bathroom for men and one for women. Some women were resorting to using the men's since there were more women in the place than men. At any rate we had a nice time and we might return.

An interesting way of approaching a French Tradition

By RABabcock |

While I haven't eaten a true French crepe in almost 15 years, I'm not sure Parisians would appreciate this take on a Creperie. I had an Alamo breakfast crepe, but it was more like an over-stuffed burrito, losing the emphasis on what a crepe is all about. Even the offerings of more dessert-style crepes seemed lacking with a lot of Nutella and French jams as filler. I must say that the place got busy for lunch, but the French cafe style experience was somewhat lacking. I guess I'm more of a crepe purest than an American twist to a French tradition.

very cold restaurant environment

By Miryan A |

nice place and the options are all very tasty, but the inside of the restaurant is very cold, on my last visit my baby got cold to the point of going to the hospital. So I think I could adjust the temperature of the room so that it is pleasant and not freezing.

Delicious!

By Melody F |

One of the best crepes I have ever had! Mine had scrambled eggs, feta, tomatoes, spinach, and mushrooms, it was delicious. Good amount in the crepe also, very filling. My daughter got a Nutella waffle with strawberries, and she also loved that. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend!

Great New Crepe Spot

By QDOGG8 |

This is a new crepe restaurant that is delicious. They have a great selection of sweet and savory crepes. They also have a great selection of unique beverages as well that go great with the crepes. Will definitely be making a return trip soon!

Sweet and savory

By frequenttraveler073 |

Very busy Saturday. Moved efficiently with manager working down the order line to tell customers there was a 20 minute wait for food once we sat down. (On the spot. Food took about 20 minutes). We shared one savory crepe (ham and gruyere) and sweet (Bonne maman: berry and creme). Lots of variety for both sweet and savory flavors. Both were very good. Other menu items include waffles, paninis, salads, and breakfast crepes. Selection of wines and beverages. Main comments-very loud. We could barely hear the cashier depite standing about a foot away from one another. Needs some sound proofing. Staff really hopping. Work area around crepe "griddle" and other prep areas untidy. Cashier used ungloved right hand to take money and kept food glove on left hand . I would prefer people handling money take all food gloves off. Final thought is price/value. At 9 to 10 dollars a crepe, it seems to be at the higher end but maybe not out of La Cantera norms. Plan to return to try waffles, breakfast crepes, and maybe shakes.

Sweet Crepes!

The line moves fast and food comes pipping hot! We had the lemon and sugar crepes and the Nutella strawberry banana crepes! Nutella Latte! So, so good! Nice little dessert or “pre” meal treat!

Way to expensive for what you get

By Kathy R |

We ordered the 4 different savory crepes and they were just ok, the salad that comes with all of them was horrible, it tasted gritty like it hadn't been washed, then we ordered 3 different dessert crepes: oreo(this one was good) trice lattice and s'mores, both were so sweet it made us sick, we had to take at least half of each one home, and being that its at la canteria, we will never go back, parking was a nightmare.
