Food is good, ambience is okay. Neither high nor low price. Not completely authentic indian but still can be said better than other indian restaurantS in the city. I think its in or near midtown, accessible via marta.

we had a splendid meal at Tabla. the curry was just the right amount of spicy and the samosa duck was fried just so.

I had the thali lunch at Tabla, and it was everything one comes to expect from thali lunches. It was overly filling, had variety, and was delicious. I'd definitely eat here again.

We had reservations for 8 PM for Friday night - so we were seated immediately. we were a party of 4 adults and 1 child. The service is very slow - so be prepared for long durations. Their drinks menu is interesting..though I just had a beer. They don't have drafts - just cans and bottles. Now on to the food - the food is spectacular. The crispy fried okra and the garlic cauliflower was awesome. The dahi chaat was okay...My son had the onion naan and the potatoes and he loved it. We tried different entrees and they all had great flavor and very different taste profiles. The kadai panner and the dal Bukhara were very good. The Nargisi kofta was awesome and the veg kolapuri had a unique taste profile which some folks liked and some didn't. The Naans (garlic naan and chilli naan) were among the softest naans we have had, Highly recommended for cool ambience and amazing food...Service can be improved.

Parking garage very convenient a short walk to restaurant...very noisy but nice ambience cute decor...It was date night and I was looking for a restaurant that has vegetarian/vegan options...I ordered the eggplant meal it was spicy and delicious... My date enjoyed a non vegan meal as well...I will be returning soon

Delicious! Husband and I came on Friday night and sat at the bar and had the BEST service by Mike. Mike was the rare combination of fast, friendly, and attentive... constantly moving and making drinks but always checking on us and making friendly conversation. We loved the chicken tika, the shrimp moilee, and the chickpea veggie app (can’t remember the name). We eat here about once a month and always consistently delicious.

Great Location Ambience is great Crowd is very local and nice Went with colleagues and had a good time Prices were not very high

On the 2nd day of the new year we decided to order Indian food from tabla. We have tried a lot of Indian places however tabla was first time today. And I guess it was the biggest mistake that I have made. I ordered Nargisi kofte, dhaba chicken curry, biryani, roomali roti and naan. There was not even a single thing that I liked about the food. Too much oil in all the gravy, I have never eaten a RoomLi roti full of oil. It was thick, hard and full of oil. This is cheating serving I don’t know what ..... prices are exorbitant. 19$ for a chicken gravy and 5 $ for a roti. If the food is good I don’t mind paying but this is the worst Indian I have eaten in Atlanta so far. There Are a lot more places which serve buffet of much better quality and much much a less price. Please hire better chefs who can incorporate taste rather than just adding full loads of oil.

They have about 6 tables outside, on a fairly quiet side street. Service is very good, food excellent, prices in range, we've been twice and enjoyed it.

We throughly enjoyed our first ever Indian food dining experience. So much flavor in the food. Great drinks too. Great energy

We were staying in midtown for a college-related function, and had a couple of nights free for dinner. Tabla is closed on Sunday, so we couldn't try it then. We got a free light meal at Tech on Monday, so we were not super-hungry afterwards. However, we walked over and tried a post-dinner appetizer here. The Samosas were quite good, and our server was friendly. The overall ambiance was nice. Based on our limited experience, I would definitely be interested in a return visit for dinner this fall.

We are from Britain and eat a lot of Indian food, great flavors, super good service, would recommend.

Food was good and seasoned. Service was good. Nice atmosphere. Parking was validated. They had outdoor seating and a full bar.

This spot is great for group. fantastic food an ambiance, good service, and price is very resonable.

I've never experienced a biryani like the way it's presented at Tabla. Individual servings (that are very generous) with a baked cover of naan. SO DELICIOUS. I was also very impressed with the attentive, but not fussy, service by the waiters/ hostesses. I ate here two days in a row during my stay and am telling everyone I know to check out the spot.

My wife and I enjoy dining here and eating at the bar. Mike, the bartender is awesome. Knows the menu and makes awesome drinks. I'm not a connoisseur of Indian food but everyone I have taken loves the food. They have a few seats outside.

Appetizer using Okra, have never had anything like it. Amazing! Also the spiced old fashioned...my wife had 3! So good.

This is a fantastic restaurant! The food is delicious and the ambiance is so nice. I also had an Indian wine that was excellent. Parking is easy too.

I'm by no means an expert on Indian food, but the Butter Chicken, Lamb Shanks, Nan and everything else we had there last night was excellent. Great sauces. Will return.

Great experience! It was tucked away on a quite side street in midtown, and it was very modern inside. Everything we had was amazing. I had the Coriander Lamb Chop and it came out cooked perfectly and the taste was amazing. If I hadn't got the Lamb Chop I may have just ordered 6 orders of the Naan. You could see them making it to order in the kitchen and It came out hot and fluffy. The service was very good the whole time

First time back for new menu , $18 for aloo gobi is extreme ! We were there at 6:30 on a Saturday. Two thirds full, I wonder why ! We have eaten their at 20 times , I’m very disappointed.

Great service, Food and ambience. If you go to Atlanta, this should definitely be one of your food destinations. Outdoor seating available, humidity permitting. Try the spinach appetizer and the chicken wings. Chilean Sea Bass was exceptional. Nice wine, drink and beer list. I'll be back!

Truly the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The flavors just burst out of each dish. I had the lamb saag, and the lamb was so tender, I barely had to chew it. Others in the party had butter chicken, chicken korma, and chicken biryani. They each loved their choices. Fresh garlic naan and vegetable samosas completed the meal. Go here. You won’t regret it.

Went to Tabla on a weekday evening for dinner. We were seated promptly even though the restaurant was full. Our server was very good and gave excellent suggestions off the menu. He was appropriately helpful and kept checking on us without being intrusive. We have been to a lot of Indian restaurants across the country in our travels and the food here was some of the best we have had. It had just the right amount of spice without being overpowering. Service was excellent. Great overall experience.

Excellent Indian food consistently. I really liked it a lot - the service was good and friendly and the place felt positive. It is not a fancy place but for what it is it is very good and food

We went for dinner. I will say the service was a bit slow. Food very good ratings below. Samosa: 9/10 Mutter paneer: 8.5/10 Butter panner: 7.5/10 Garlic naan: 8/10 Cauliflower: 10/10

Our party of eight (with three children) celebrated a birthday at Tabla and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Most in our group hadn't tried Indian food. The staff was great, explained all of the dishes to us, and took special care to make the children's food mild enough for them to enjoy. The naan was so tasty: we tried garlic, goat cheese, and the Parmesan and truffle. We also shared the Kurkuri Bhindi (2 orders) and tandoori octopus. Even the children enjoyed these dishes. For entrees: tandoori roasted chicken, tandoori roasted snapper (wonderful sauce!), chicken korma, shrimp korma, shrimp saag, chicken saag, and lamb vindaloo. Each dish was beautiful, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed several desserts, including a donut of sorts, a torte, and the cilantro sorbet. Service was prompt, attentive, and gracious. Thank you for a lovely meal and we will definitely return!

I stopped by Tabla with a friend while visiting Atlanta. We both ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. The entree was delicious and the service was great.

Outstanding flavors. This is hands down my favorite place for Indian food. You can find less expensive Indian restaurants but the service and food at Tabla is worth it. The crust on the samosas are light and crisp. The garlic naan complements the other dishes well. The meat dishes are always tender. The Tikka Masala and Butter chicken sauces are addictive. Some dishes are spicy but they will alter the spice level for you if you ask.

Amazing food and service. Biryani is one of the best I have ever had! Full of flavour and the shrimps were amazing. Everything tasted authentic. Will visit again!

We came here to celebrate a birthday of a visiting family member. The ambiance was nice - calm, modern, and not overdone. The drink selections were great and reasonably priced. We ordered a variety of food, including meat, vegetarian, spicy, and mild food. We all loved it! The cauliflower, goat cheese naan, and samosa appetizers were all wonderful. We were so stuffed we came home with leftovers. The server was extremely friendly. As locals, we will definitely be coming back!

Food was good, ambience was good. Our waiter was polite and decent but I asked the way to the restroom to another waiter and he was very arrogant.

Watch out for overcharges when you pay with credit card. Several times the charge me and some of my friends more than what we authorized when signing the credit card bill. Found out when comparing charges against credit card statements.happens too many times to be a coincidence...

Excellent food. Tasty and Spicy. It is totally worth exploring Tabla for the food. It was my first time - lots of Indian Americans eating here was a good sign. And lots of friends of a friend recommended it - good recommendation! The back room is a bit more sterile (like a canteen ) Friendly efficient service.

On our hunt to new indian restaurant around, we found this and decided to give a try based on reviews. Ambience was beautiful and service was fast. The preparation and service of food was super quick. They have plenty vegetarian and non veg options. Veg starters were good but for few items the quantity was not upto the price. I would recommend to try "Lasooni Gobhi" for starter. Although, I didn't like anything on main course. Gravy was too plain and there was no indian flavour on anything. Ambience: 8/10 Cleanliness: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Vegetarian Options: 9/10 Food: 5/10 Price(1 is cheap 10 is Costly): 8/10 Value for Money: 5/10

This restaurant is horrible on the service, they are so rude to the customers. I even heard a staff fighting to a customer. The food was overpriced, there are many Indian restaurants that serve better and much nicer food. Don’t waste your money and time here.

I have now been here a few times and every single visit has been amazing food and service!!! Always busy so if you are a big group I would recommend booking in advance ... you will not be disappointed!! Try the Mocktails.... I normally have alcoholic drinks so this was weird for me to try this but I was quietly surprised!!

I was invited to Tabla's for lunch and it did not disappoint. I had the Chicken Tikka Misala and it was fantastic. The rice was light, fluffy and delicious. The garlic naan was good, but could use a little more garlic. I'm going back for sure. There were so many interesting looking items on guests' plates next to our table.

Awesome restaurant with great food and service.... server was so nice and so was the food.... will come back again

A friend recommended this place and it was a big hit! The food was absolutely delicious. The portions were satisfying. The service was great. The ambiance is elegant. I will definitely be dining here again.

Stopped by for lunch when I was in Midtown for some work, just as they opened (11:30 am). It was quiet, but filled up quickly. Had the malai chicken wrap. It was excellent! The roti/paratha wrap was soft, and the chicken was, there's no other word, succulent. Service was attentive without being overbearing. I look forward to coming back and trying more. PS: I did stop by with a friend about a week later, for dinner, on a Monday night. They were packed! Make a reservation. This place is popular! (I'd give them 5 stars. However, their receptionist staff was clearly overwhelmed by the large party that showed up ahead of us, and soon a line formed of customers waiting to get their names down. Better staffing to cope with their popularity would be helpful.)

If you are looking for good authentic Indian food in the city check this place out!! The menu is on point and they have an awesome bartender. Although, the food menu prices is a bit much for rice etc (in my opinion) I still enjoyed it and will return. Ambiance is def more lively than your typical Indian restaurants too, which we enjoyed. I dine at Indian restaurants often, as it is my second type of favorite food :-)

We were really pleased with Tabla, the service was excellent and the décor is very modern and urban, but we were most impressed with the food. We were a party of four and everything everyone ordered was great, the sauces all were delicious and the food very well prepared, the dishes were very interesting as I am not accustomed to having duck or lamb shank in Indian restaurants. The quality of the ingredients and how they were cooked was excellent, the lamb was tender, the duck breast cooked just right. We even had a bottle of Indian wine and it was pretty good. Definitely a place I will recommend.

Though the restaurant is rather dark, and the tables are close together, the experience is still enjoyable. The food is flavorful and spice, very similar to homemade North Indian cuisine. The service was quick, and servers were extremely nice and helpful in recommending dishes. The lassoni cauliflower, dhaba chicken curry, and lal mas lamb shank were the favorites. The portions are large, but everything is well priced.

I have now been here twice and the second visit was just as good as the first. Great food and great service. If your in Atlanta and want Indian food, this is the place.

Fantastic place and food. Great Indian food. Outstanding and efficient service. Owner Sandeep himself took care of our table of 9 guests. Piping hot food and very creative appetizers.

Very nice place. Quantity of food is good. Cocktails and mocktails are amazing. Very popular place and better reserve in advance or they will really turn you down and ask you to go else where. Food is delicious! It is blended to suit global customers and not made Indian spicy or Indian hot if you don't say so. I guess one of the best Indian cuisine and sort of fine done in Atlanta downtown. If you want to have Indian food than look no further. Had review from other friends about other Indian restaurants and they were just like another! So this is the best place u want to be. If turned down than next door is nice Italian restaurant....

Truly outstanding dining experience...second time here and the high standards have been maintained. The servers know their menu, and can help you assemble a great mix of dishes to share. The Lassoni cauliflower appetizer was fantastic. Beware, though, when they say hot they mean it. The vindaloo was SPICY. Tabla is fancier and more expensive than many Indian spots, but it really delivers.

Tabla had the best Indian food I've had in years. Portions were plentiful, service was a cut above outstanding, and we felt like welcomed family and not customers. I dined here recently with a friend who was observing Ramadan and we dined to break his fast. The wait staff held dinner for us and brought out everything, hot and fresh, at one minute past sundown. And all the food was fantastic. I had chicken Korma while he had Tikka Masala. When we ran out of bread we could see the chef in the kitchen making more for us fresh and hot. Despite the late hour, we were never rushed and the waiter made sure we had time and space to enjoy our food.

Ate here with teenage children. Food very good. Spice level is appropriate. Spicy dishes have a good kick (Vindaloo). Butter chicken and Tikka Masala creamy as flavorful. Rohan Josh was excellent. Out of some wine the night we were there but manager was very helpful in finding an appropriate substitute. Definitely would return. Small plates very good as well.

The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the food is outstanding. This is the best Indian cuisine in Atlanta. The spices are distinguishable so you know you are truly enjoying cooking. The manager loves to check in and assure that you are happy with your meal. Midtown in Atlanta always fun too.

Excellent Food - every entree was very well prepared and easily the best Indian food in Atlanta. The service was what made our family evening perfect - a big thank you to Anup and his staff who did an OUTSTANDING job. Greatly appreciated

Aaahhh.... tried a lot of dishes here... started with lasooni cauliflower, banana leaf fish, choor choor naan as starters... Followed with dinner comprising of dal Bukhara, Lal Maas, butter chicken..... lachha parantha, roti and naan on breads.... No Indian meal can end without a desert, kheer and Ras malai.... Packed most of it and had some😊 Some of it was average, some good and some very good... An amazing India meal in the US is all I can say😊😊😊

When you walk the neighborhood and stumble across this kind of hideaway, it makes the walk well worth it. Decided to celebrate a friend's birthday here and no one was disappointed. Service was impeccable (which is difficult to say these days), and the food was just as outstanding. The Tandoori Shrimp was more than eye pleasing. Yum! I caution you though, if you can't tolerate spicy, this may not be the place for you.

Beautiful restaurant! My son introduced me, he’s a vegan and loves it! I ordered the lamb, which was a bit spicy but pleasantly delightful and full of flavor. I also enjoyed the okra and roti. Can’t say that I’ll be back, but I enjoyed this wonderful treasure in Atlanta.

We went on 2 buses from Chateau Elan GA to Tabla for dinner Saturday night. We had a special Private room for dinning with Buffett food and drinks.Food was absolutely delicious and their service was amazing. They made some cocktail that was out of this world. Prices was very reasonable and the servers were so Nice. I will go back again here and the owner sandeep was so accomadating.Thank you

I joined my sister, her husband and a friend for dinner. I enjoyed my meal and everyone else was happy with their food as well.

We really enjoyed Tabla!! Every dish we ordered was fresh & authentic. The service was wonderful. Very busy for a Monday night, with tons of business people. We will definitely return so we can try so many other dishes!!!

I took my wife to the restaurant for her birthday. We really enjoyed the tikka masala. It was very tasty. I would recommend someone to go there. I did not get that great of a festive mood because of our special occasion, but the food was very good.

My second time and it is AWESOME - staff very attentive to customer needs and the food - well it tastes like it was just made in grandmas street kitchen with fresh ingredients and amazing FLAVAS of Indian currys!!!! Many options both traditional and modern and a MUST visit if you love good home cooked Indian meals!!!!!

The food and service here is all very good. This is an upscale Indian restaurant with high quality ingredients. We sat at the bar and were impressed with the service we received from our bartender "Kush." We had Indian wine which was perfect with the spicy dishes. The classic dishes and Veggie Biryani are all very good. The octopus appetizer is a standout and an unexpected delight on the menu. We will definitely be back.

I have been here a few times and both the food and service are always outstanding!!! The servers are gracious to help novices navigate the menu and make entree suggestions. I have never eaten a bad thing here, but I do love the cauliflower. It is amazing! All who work here are very warm, friendly and attentive. Trust me! You can't go wrong with Tabla.

OMG! What a fantastic authentic Indian cuisine. I had Indian before, but this place is simply the best. I had veggie samosa, veggie kolhapuri, naan garlic bread. Obviously these were too much for one, the taste is deep and Incredibility delicious! Highly recommended.

Visited Tabla for lunch while in Atlanta, following a friends recommendation, and had a great experience. Restaurant was extremely busy, so I do recommend to make a reservation before. For 13usd I had a “Thali menu” which is like having a Bento box Indian style. This menu has a curry and meat to chose (among 8 options of the more traditional curries like Tikka, Korma, Rogan Josh, Saag, etc), naan bread, dal, rice and a dessert which was like a custard made of green cardamom. I chose Vindaloo and it was just perfect (truly spicy as expected).

Whilst on a recent business trip we stumbled upon this magnificent restaurant with fantastic Service. Being a vegan we ordered an amazing chckpea masala, eggplant curry and cauliflower that blew my tastebuds away. Evert bite was sensational and thoroughly enjoyed with Naan breads & rice.

We hadn’t been to Tabla since before the pandemic, and we forgot what we were missing. The food was excellent, the drinks were excellent, and the service was some of the best we’ve had anywhere. We will be back much more often!

Every dish was authentic and fantastic. Equal to the best restaurants I visited in Delhi. You can’t go wrong here. The butter chicken was particularly good, and the service was very attentive.

I've always traveled to Decatur or Buford Hwy for good, authentic Indian food but today I tried Tabla in Midtown. It was very, very good. I ordered Chicken vindaloo extra hot and they heard me roar. I drank 6 glasses of cold water. So worth it.

If you are looking for an authentic India cuisine while in Atlanta downtown or mid-town, you can't miss Tabla...They are top-notch in terms of food taste, authenticity, service, ambiance as well as location... I tried their vegetarian dishes - couple of appetizers as well as main-course and I have to tell they all were above my expectation...They specialize in Rumali roti which people go for and its a treat to watch chef making it... Go for this place if you are an Indian food lover...You will enjoy it to the core... Note they have parking in building basement which they cover once you inform while leaving..

Tabla is an upscale- ish spot in Midtown Atlanta. The ambiance is modern and welcoming. The menu offers traditional Indian dishes, and they’re cooked to perfection. Their Tikka wings (current appetizer special), Butter Chicken, Vindaloo and Goat Cheese Naan are all EXCELLENT! The Delhi Mule is a spicier take on the “Moscow” version, and it’s perfect! The Summer Daze (bourbon, ginger beer and cayenne pepper) is a knock-your-socks-off sweet/super-spicy treat. Their servers were attentive and knowledgeable enough to offer recommendations. If I lived closer, I’d eat there on a regular basis.

This is the absolute best Indian Restaurant I’ve had the pleasure to experience. The service was excellent, the food was amazing, the ambiance was chic and lively, and the prices were fair. Zain was our server. She was helpful and attentive throughout our meal. She helped us select one of their designer cocktails for starters. Then she helped us decide upon two appetizers to share: the Lasooni Cauliflower (a generous serving of fried cauliflower in a “Buffalo” sauce) and the Kurkuri Bhindi (thin cut fried okra). Both were delicious and paired well with our cocktails. For entree we shared a Lamb Prada Biryani and a Chicken Korma Curry. Zain recommended a naan infused with jalapeño peppers and amul cheese. Every bite was delicious. The biryani was spicier than the curry, which is exactly how we requested them. Both perfectly balanced and expertly prepared. Kudos to the chef, the wait staff, and bartenders for an exemplary culinary experience. My partner and I can’t wait to return.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!! I work for Virgin Atlantic and as crew we are always on the look out for new places to eat. We are Fortunate enough to experience Indian cuisine all over the world, however I must say the food and service at Tabla was out of this world! Thank you Mike and our super fabulous waitress for making our New Year’s Eve spectacular and my cocktails were perfection!!! I’m pretty sure you will now be bombarded with virgin atlantic crew!!! 🤣 Happy new year and a massive thank you. 😘😘😘

Its very rare that I rate somewhere this highly but the only thing wrong with Tabla is the interior lighting, it is nearly impossible to read the menu. My wife had to use the light on her phone. The service is attentive, professional and friendly. Good welcome upon arrival too. The food is simply superb. We eat Indian food all over the world and this ranks amongst the very best. Really, it is that good here. Superb flavours in all dishes with limitless rice available to support it. Excellent naan bread with just the correct level of garlic. At $60 for two people with a good glass of wine this is great value for money too.

We came in for dinner and overall the food was very good and tasty. Service was fairly good. One complaint we had was that we ordered the lamb appetizer but they brought out the lamb entree. When we questioned it the waiter insisted it was the appetizer. When we saw the bill, it was the entree which costed 3 times more. At that point we were just ready to leave so did not even bring it to the waiters attention.

The customer service was excellent. Everyone was very attentive, even if they were not your designated server. The food tasted great. The lamb shanks were a very big portion. Definitely a great place for lunch.

This was a wonderful experience for my boyfriend and I to add to our "International Cuisine Weekend". We both tried the lunch with the curry, rice, lentils and vegetables. All delicious. It also came with a dessert and it was very sweet and we couldn't finish it all. The beer and cocktail were also great!

We came for my mom's bday and had a wonderful night -- it's our go-to spot for special outings in the city. Delicious food, wonderful ambiance, and service with a personal touch. It is also a very good value for the amount and quality of food; we always leave with leftovers! Highly recommend Tabla!!

I went with family and food/service was amazing.Worth visiting again n again for indian cusine.Great vegetarian menu

GREAT cocktail: Mexican Standoff. We arrived early for our reservation and sat at the bar--and the table was ready early. The decor was urban contemporary rather than typical of Indian restaurants we have visited. Our food was well-prepared, prompt, and the spices were subdued rather than bold--perhaps the option of bolder would have been nice. Service was attentive and relaxed despite a full house. We enjoyed the meal very much.

We visited this restaurant during our recent visit to Atlanta. It is a very good and traditional Indian Restaurant. We were there on Friday evening and did not have reservation. They did manage to find us a table. We enjoyed their Chicken Korma and Saag and Garlic Naan with very good flavor. You can park in front of the restaurant on the meter or a nearby parking garage and then get it validated. Service was prompt and the environment is nice and clean.

I've tried several different Indian restaurants in atlanta and this is my favorite. I don't know if it's an authentic one, but 50% of customers was clearly Indian or at least of Indian origins. The service is outstanding and the price moderate. I like the low lights, enough space between tables and a good variety of food. I should go there with some Indian friends for an authenticity test

Excellent food. Service was average - good. Would recommend and would repeat. Suggestion to the establishment - how about some south asian music, the Miley Cyrus that was playing didn't quite set an appropriate vibe!

Searching for some spice in midtown Atlanta I struck gold when I stumbled upon Tabla. This is a seriously good Indian restaurant which has a range of vegetarian and meat dishes on offer. The meals taste authentic, they are very generous in portions, and if you over order there is an offer to take your left overs home in a box. Great service also accompanies this wonderful food. Delicious mutter paneer, samosa and lamb biryani. Recommended .

I went to Atlanta on a Friday. Since we reached late so we decided to get to go for dinner. We searched and found out “Tabla Restaurant” with good reviews. So we decided to give it a shot. The location was prime. We ordered “Paneer Tikka”, “Kadhai Paneer”, “Chicken Korma” and “Tandoori Roti”. When we reached there to pickup, we blown away with location and ambiance. Though we didn’t dine-in but we liked the ambiance too much. The food was ready to pick-up. Every dish exceeded our expectations. I will surely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends. I will surely dine-in next time when I will Atlanta.

As fans of Indian food my husband and I like to visit Indian restaurants a lot, Tabla is definitely one of the best we've tried in the greater Atlanta area, the food is delicious and the portions are big (which is nice since you can choose various dishes and share). Also, the service was great, the waitress was very attentive and considering that finding a parking spot in the city is really hard, they conveniently have a "partnership" with a parking lot next to them.

We went to Tabla for dinner. Kritish was our server. He did an excellent job. I had the Duck Curry, it was awesome. My son-in-law had the Coriander Lamb Chips, another great choice. The Tikka Masala was very good too. We all our enjoyed our dinner. The ambiance was very nice.

Place was clean - friendly service... 3 of us went while there on biz and had a table full of apps... not a scrap was left on a plate - everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Our second visit to Tabla - we specifically stayed one night in Midtown just so we could go again and it was just as excellent as the first! It's been a very long time since we've had Indian this good, and so much like homemade Indian, or curry in India. The bhindi masala was just perfect - okra cooked to tender but not mushy or gelatinous at all, and saucy (this is not a dry okra - try the appetizer for that). The chicken dhaba - so much like home cooking, but taken to the next level - just amazing with the depth of flavor. Chicken biryani - love how they cook it inside a naan, like a pot pie, to have it arrive to your table steaming hot. Again, with the depth of spices cooked into the rice, not just chicken thrown into rice. And oh my, the kulfi - don't pass that up no matter how full you are. A few seats outside. There's a parking garage next door - not sure how much it costs or if they validate.

Indian is one of our favorite cuisines and we fancy ourselves to be somewhat of a connoisseur. We had made reservations in advance (recommended) and were promptly seated at the round table to the left of the front door as one enters the restaurant. Seating was very comfortable and the carousel at the center of the table came in very handy later on when all the dishes were brought to the table. Service was prompt, very pleasant and professional. The menu is a mix of the traditional dishes and unique "Tabla dishes". We ordered some appetizers. We especially loved the Lassoni Cauliflower (super good) and veggie Samosas. After the appetizers we ordered 6 main dishes for all to share, including Lamb Rogan Josh, Lamb Biriyani and Saag along with garlic naan and plenty of Taj Mahal and wine. The food was absolutely delicious. It's traditional to a large degree, but it has this certain unidentifiable extra taste and quality which is uniquely Tabla. It is clearly different. Food tastes very fresh and is well prepared and presented. The food is bold and spicy (as mild or hot as you want, just tell the waitstaff). The menu offers a good mix of vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as meats and poultry. The restaurant has a classy, upscale, yet cozy atmosphere. It has a full bar, it's not overly noisy, clean and to repeat what I said earlier, the service is fantastic, but above all, the food is superb. We highly recommend Tabla and will definitely be back. Well done Tabla!!!!!!

My daughter, wife and I had a great dinner at Tabla a few days before Thanksgiving. The interior looks very inviting, and service was very good. Even though the restaurant was busy, we were not rushed. My daughter had the Nargis Kofta. My wife had the Chicken Tikki Masala, and I had the Korma Chicken. We also split two sides of plain naan. All of the food was very enjoyable, and the spice level was just about right. The portions were reasonable. I finished mine, but my wife had some leftovers for lunch. Dinner was a little expensive (about $125 for the three of us), but as the quality and quantity was in evidence, I didn't mind.

We were in midtown for the Atlanta Botanical Garden - garden lights. After finishing our tour there, we went to Tabla for dinner - we were a party of 8 - 6 adults and 2 kids. The service was great and prompt - we actually arrived half hour early and the table was ready. The food was fantastic. We had a whole bunch of appetizers and entrees - the kurkurae bhindi and lasooni gobi were great. The dahi puri was just average. my 5 year old had the parmesan and truffle oil naan and loved it. For entrees we had panner vindaloo, biryani, nargisi kofta and dal Bukhara - everything was fantastic. We had different kinds of breads - paratha, romali roti, chili naan....great stuff. The cocktails were a little on the sweet side - I had a craft beer - I thought it was a draft - was a little disappointed that it was a can beer. our friends also had the achari chicken and the roghan gosh and they said it was very good. The food was pretty reasonable too. For the 8 of us - it was around $300. Highly recommended.

I had dinner here one night while I was in town for a conference. I sat at the bar and and had a great drink with chile and ginger infused vodka. The bartender was great, friendly and willing to offer suggestions. I had the classic tikka masala which was delicious but the menu was varied enough that, if I was local, I would definitely be back to try out some of the more unusual items.

We ordered a meal through GrubHub for delivery. We were quite disappointed in the food that was sent as well as the problems with the delivery driver. We placed the order which included a tip for the driver. We ALWAYS tip and think it is fair. However, we had problems with this delivery person. We got two phone calls from him because he didn’t know what to do with the food. At first he was just clueless about the delivery itself (we are in a condo in Midtown, seriously about 2 blocks away from the restaurant). My husband patiently told him about going into the building, talking to the concierge, and being allowed into the elevator. This in itself was strange as our building gets A LOT of food deliveries! Then, about 20 minutes later, we get another call from the driver who wants to know if he should just drop off the food. NO! We talked about this already and it was in the written directions via Grubhub. OMG. Plus the restaurant estimated 45 minutes to an hour, and the driver was more than 20 minutes past this. We tipped for delivery to our door, not a drop downstairs. When unpacking the bag, my heart sank. The quantity of food for what we paid was very small, the rice portion was particularly small. The samosas were good tasting but very greasy. The naan was supposed to have cheese and jalapeños. We didn’t detect any cheese and there was one piece of jalapeño... in the whole order. The chicken masala had good flavor but was runny like soup and had a couple of pieces of chicken. The saag paneer had more pieces of paneer but not a lot of flavor. Overall, disappointing. We will continue to order from and go to two other Indian restaurants we frequent. My husband strongly felt the food was skimpy and a ripoff.

Came to visit my daughter in Atlanta and used Trip Advisor to find the restaurant. Great food , service and very reasonable prices. They validate parking so that is a plus in downtown Atlanta.

We went here for dinner the night before Thanksgiving. I had had to put up with holiday travelers flying in from Minneapolis, and my husband had had to work. So, when our server said they had a full bar (which we had observed) and wanted to know what we wanted, we both ordered Manhattans straight-up with Bulleit Rye. (There are two charges for the drinks: $20 and $2, so I assume each Manhattan was $11.) We were seated next to the curtain separating the dining room from the bar and we looked and saw what rye they had. Our server confirmed what we wanted and then went to the bar area. Apparently no one else has wanted a Manhattan. It’s an easy drink to make, it’s essentially alcohol. We heard a lot of conversation and consternation coming from around the curtain; at one point another person popped by our table and asked again what it was we wanted. This was several minutes along and we had not been able to put in a food order so we offered to change our drink order to something simpler. No, no, that was alright. So a while after that we got our Manhattans. They looked and tasted good, so good job making them under pressure! We were able to put in our food order too. We ordered a Pudina Paneer Tikka ($12) to split, as well as entrees of Chicken Tikka Masala ($18), and Chicken Saag ($18). We also got an order of plain Naan ($3), and later on I got a glass of Brazin Zinfandel ($12). Why not, we were walking back to our condo! Everything was delicious! Service was very good and friendly. We also observed that there appeared to be a couple of large families who were gathered there; definitely a testament to how good the food was. Thank you for being open the night before Thanksgiving!!!! We will definitely go back!

I wanted take my daughter and her American friends for a Indian meal. On checking the reviews. Tabla was no. 1 and we decided to go there. Decor was okay and overall ambience was fine. We ordered a few starters and all the guests were excitedly waiting for the tasty yummy Indian starters. After quite a bit of long wait, we were served the wrong starters and the waiters took their own sweet time to bring our original orders. We had ordered a few main courses but they forgot to serve the Lamb Roganjosh. We felt there was no coordination between the person who took the order, cook or the server. We were all looking forward to the Chicken curry. As soon as we put the spoon to serve, THERE WAS A BIG HAIR", this is so gross and disgusting and unexpected from the top rated restaurant. Our waiter though apologetic ,was more interested to find out how this happened rather than resolving the matter. The manager ordered to replace the item and after another long wait, we got our chicken curry. But again another fiasco. One of our guests who doesn't eat lamb on religious grounds realized after she had already put in one mouth it was lamb curry and not chicken. Utter shame on the No. 1 rated Indian restaurant in Atlanta

We were looking for a location to cater to a large family event that we were planning on having and were recommended this location. This restaurant offers a unique location with its proximity to a lot of bars in the midtown area in Atlanta. The restaurant is quite large therefore we could easily fit. The décor inside the restaurant was very modern compared to most Indian restaurants. It was a bonus that this restaurant offered the 1947 beer - this is truly unique find. The food was on the sweeter side - it didn't really pack a punch when it comes to the heat. We ordered a variety of food (butter chicken, lamb raghanjosh, bhindi, daal). and felt that it all came out pretty flat when it comes to the flavors.

if you are looking for downtown/mid town Indian fine dining with full bar--i think this may be the place- of course it is expensive, comparing to other Indian restaurants-but worth it.

I went with my wife and boy. We ate the spicy lamb and the chicken curry. Booth were ok, I really loved the sauce.

We had lunch on the visit of ours to Georgia Tech Convocation. It served delicious indian dishes with crisp rotis.

This is really one of the best Indian restaurants in Atlanta now. I am used to eating Indian in London where they have some of the finest gourmet Indian restaurants, but I have to say Tabla was really up there with the best. Not quite gourmet London style, but nevertheless first class Indian cuisine. Nice place, you have to park above in the carpark, and that evening the elevator was not working which was inconvenient, however we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Tabla is a little find in Midtown. The menu has lots of options and the food is phenomenal. There are lots of great vegetarian options, which were great for our threesome. We ordered the spinach chaat for an appetizer, the chana pindi, vegetable biryani and the kofta. All were exceptional dishes. For naan, we ordered 1 plain and 1 Kashmiri, which is stuffed with fruits and helps cool off the hot food. It would be hard to say which was the best dish as they were all wonderful. We were there on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was full. The only negative is that there is only 1 Indian beer on the menu and they were out of it and 4 other beers, which left a very limited selection. We were able to park right outside on the street (pay by meter) which was incredibly convenient and safe.

To call TABLA a wine bar is misleading. Yes, they have wine. It certainly is more appropriate to call it an Indian Restaurant. The good news is that the food was good. Certainly not great. But I have found Atlanta to be a difficult spot to find Indian food, so maybe we call it one of the better Indian restaurants in Atlanta. The downside was the service. Upon arrival we were seated and given menu's. I selected a Riesling that I felt would accompany the spicy meal well. The wine was delivered and displayed to me, to which I responded "this is not the bottle I ordered", as it was not. The waiter stated, "yes it is". I again said no and proceeded to show him on the wine list, to which he said "same thing", meaning they were both Riesling. In an effort to move forward with the meal I agreed to taste the selection. It was acceptable as replacement, so we kept it. Unfortunately, it was re-capped and placed in the center of the table. Upon return to take the order, I asked if the wine could be placed in an ice bucket and was accommodated. Then came the order. My wife ordered Korma and asked if we she could have Paneer rather than Chicken. She wast told "No", to which I said "are you kidding me, please go ask your kitchen", who did agree without hesitation. Speed through the meal, which as mentioned, was good food. Upon requesting the check from the Manager that stopped at our table, we were delivered someone else's check. Finally, after some time, our waiter stopped to get the payment and I advised the issue. More waiting, and finally the Manager brought the check and it was correct. I reviewed it and placed my credit on top. More waiting, and waiting, until finally the Manager saw it and picked it up. Payment satisfied and we left. Overall experience was disappointing and due primarily to service, we certainly won't be back at TABLA.

Visited in December for a graduation get together. Starters and some main dishes were really good. Chilly naan was also tasty. Beware the restuarant charged us US 35 for a drink of whiskey soda for one person. On top there is 20% gratuity included. The lights are so dim that we had to check the total with the flashlight. We put tips anyways. So all in all a mixed visit

I visited Tabla with a large group during a sales conference. Considering that we were 25 people, and that the restaurant was full, the service was very good. We ordered our starters, which were served quickly. The staff gave us plenty of time to eat and digest these before taking our mains orders. Again, service was quite quick, and the quality and taste of the food was excellent. Being British, I am usually disappointed by Indian restaurants outside the UK, but not this time. To add to this, several members of the party were Indian, and their opinion was also that the food was very good. If I'm ever in Atlanta again, I will be visiting again.

I have been dining at this restaurant since the first week that it opened. The food (and staff) is authentic. The only thing I would recommend is that they take over the adjacent vacant space and expand. As their clientele has grown, they continue to add chairs and it can get a bit crowded. From what I tell, Indians like to eat later (past 9:00pm), so if you want a less crowded atmosphere, going earlier may be a better bet. This vindaloo (chicken) and tiki masala (chicken) and my two favorite dishes, but I have tried seafood dishes and starters - never had anything that I did like.

The menu is not the most comprehensive, but the food was very nice. Good service and nice atmosphere too.

We visited Tabla in August 2018 for dinner. Very impressed with the decor, ambience, service and food. We had vegetable biryani, malai kofta, Paneer, Paalak chat and naan. The biryani was served in a very interesting way -was served in a bowl with a naan topping it like a chef's hat! Naan was very soft and the appetizers were generously portioned. Very good experience.

One of the best Indian spots I've ever been too. It's in a great location in Midtown Atlanta. The restaurant is beautiful inside. Mike, our bartender, was busy but attentive from the minute we sat down at the bar. Gave us suggestions for meals and drinks that showed his knowledge and love of Tabla. Ordered the Briyani with lamb and the presentation of it was unique. It almost looked like a pot pie. We could come here every night if we lived in Atlanta

Great family run spot. Creative. Great flavors. One of best spots in Atlanta for Indian food. Come hungry. Did multiple apps and shared main course. Cocktails are great!!!

Wouldn't know what this restaurant looked like pre-Covid, but they definitely need to reconsider their now -odd-looking setup and interiors. The menu was extensive, but the food didn't seem to be as interesting. Decent but could be much better.

I frequent this restaurant often and have to agree that it is probably the best Indian food I have had anywhere in the world. The staff is friendly and attentive, but there is a "But" here. They advertise 1/2 price wines on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the last two times I have gone there, they were out of the lesser expensive wines and the only wines available were their $60-80 bottles. On this visit, I ran into the same issue and the server told me that they had a white wine that was not on the menu - Sterling Chardonnay - Regularly $43, "$21.50 tonight". This is the same bottle that I purchased earlier that afternoon at Publix for $6.00. While it isn't uncommon for restaurants to mark up their wines by 2-3X, but more than 7x?? As I mentioned, the food and service is excellent here, but there is some kind of "shell game" going on with their wine menu, especially on 1/2 price wine nights.

We have not had Indian food like this since the last time we were in London. If you are visiting Atlanta and love Indian food, a visit to Tabla is a must for you! I had chicken tikka masala and my husband had chicken korma. The chicken was tender. The sauces were perfectly spiced. We order pershwari naan bread...best ever! The service was impeccable. The servers apparentky work together serving everyone. The water glass stayed filled but it was different people doing it. When a plate was empty someone showed up immediately to remove it from the table. Our waiter, Luv, was professional, personable, and very efficient. He made our dining an absolute pleasure. Thank you! 5 star food; 5 star service! You must try it! We will be back next time we are in the area!

During my 2 weeks visit to Atalanta , I visited this place. Food was excellent. Me and my friend we went there. I had vindalu paneer which was excellent. Ambience is also very good. I saw some large groups as well there so I am sure it will be suitable for such a groups. Food quality and quantity was excellent. Staff was kind enough to ask me if I want to take the left over which I decided to take and he happily packed the same and gave me. If you are in Atlanta and want to try Indian food , you must visit this place.

I was recently in Atlanta and this place was supposedly the best Indian food in Atlanta. I ordered Chicken Beryani and it was VERY dry. I asked the waiter if I could get a small bowl of curry sauce. He said no, they only sell large bowls of curry sauce for $16. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants around the world and have never had a place refuse to put a ladle of curry sauce in a small bowl, if asked.

I visited on my birthday. And they didn’t disappoint. Naan good, curry good, starters excellent... drinks excellent... I mean completely satisfied

Went for Lunch on a Saturday to catch-up with a friend --- no waiting. Excellent location in Midtown Atlanta on 12th street. Decor is nice. Not a big place - may be crowded during peak times. Waiters were ok. Food came out pretty quick. Not crowded - we were able to relax and talk a bit. Ordered Veggie Samosa, Kurkuri Bhindi, Lamb Sheek Kebab, Chicken Parda Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan - I know, ordered quite a few items for 2 people for Lunch. Of course, I had to go and take a nap afterwards ! All Food items we ordered were pretty good/tasty - good to see consistency across the menu. Prices were reasonable. I did eat more than I should --- food was fresh/hot/spicy. Kurkuri Bhindi is unique - try if you get a chance. Overall, good location and food if you are in Midtown ATL.

I attended a birthday celebration here with a pretty large group, and they handled it very well. Granted, we were there really early (5:30) on a Saturday night, so there were very few other diners. Highly recommend always making a reservation. Our group is very discerning on eating authentic Indian food, and Tabla did not disappoint. The menu is large, the vegetarians in the group had plenty to choose from, everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. The restaurant itself is more "fine dining" in atmosphere than any other Indian Food restaurant in Atlanta, and I've been to most of them. It would be a great date night place to go, and they're also adept with large groups. We were well taken care of. I highly recommend Tabla for a fabulous night out!

Very good food and service. Various type of bread that was delicious, the first plates and the main courses, try the lamb chops and the grilled chicken with curry. Recommended, book a table in advance

Alleppey-style fish curry was like revisiting that charming Indian city; the flavors were well balanced, the ingredients fresh, cooked just right, and served by our outstandingly warm waiter, Sunu. Three friends I was there with (each of us ordered something different), although they have never travelled to India, now know what to expect when they go there. And we will all head back to Tabla when next in Atlanta.

One of my former students treated me to the best Indian lunch I've ever tasted in Atlanta. They have a full bar, and every seat in the restaurant was taken. Servers very helpful and efficient. Their recommendations were spot-on as far as combinations. We had the Thali lunch, which included dessert and drink. The spices blended together beautifully, especially the vegetable options. You will want to order extra naan so you have plenty to scoop up the sauces with. I will be back.

Went here the first night we arrived in Atlanta. Wonderful restaurant!! The food was excellent and the waiter was very attentive.

I went here for lunch during a short visit to Atlanta for work. The place was packed and very lively. However, given my experience, I'm not sure why. I chose the chicken korma. It was a mildly spicy and slightly sweet dish, but really wasn't flavorful, kind of bland with no depth of flavor. The chicken was also tough. The portion was small for the price. ($13) My garlic nan, though, was good. ($5). Given the cost and lack of flavor, I left disappointed. Also, no public wifi.

I found that a service was very bad and discriminatory. Being an Indian I would never go there ever again.

Went Saturday for dinner. Garlic Naans were literally raw in the middle. Goat Curry was mostly curry, they are trying to save money I guess. But worse, the the Goat was tough and undercooked. And given it is supposed to be upscale, don’t they know it is referred to as Mutton? Waiters were abrupt and dressed in laborer clothes but with an apron😭😭😭

Indian food is my favorite, and Tabla does it WELL . I've been here so many times, and they never disappoint. The food is good and full of flavour, the portions are large, the naan is amazing, the restaurant is amazing. You should already be on your way there! :) xx

Tried this place after a friend raved about it and was not disappointed!!! Maybe the best Indian cuisine I have had anywhere in the world. Everything was so well balanced for flavors. Great presentation as well. Our server was super friendly. Place is very nice. Parking is to the right and free with validation. This is a must place visit in Atlanta. Prices are a bit upscale but worth every penny especially when the 30 dollar parking fee is validated.

Tabla creates authentic and yummy Indian food in a lovely setting. The owners are extremely accommodating and wonderful.

My co-workers and I really enjoy having lunch at Tabla in midtown. Excellent service, a wide variety of dishes, great food, and lovely ambiance and decor. I enjoy getting a Thali at lunch which is your choice of curry, the vegetable of the day, a dal, basmati rice, fresh naan, and a dessert. I am very fond of their vegetable dishes. Everything is perfectly spiced and well presented. Definitely much more upscale than your typical Indian buffet type restaurant. This would be a great date-night place. Highly recommend it!

Very impressed. A medium-size restaurant with a good vibe and great food. The menu is comprehensive - all Indian. Price seems reasonable enough. Full bar friendly service. Excellent parking in a garage in the back. It was free.

Went to this restaurant at 7:30 p.m. on 7/15/16 with a group of 11 people celebrating a friends promotions. There is parking offered in a nearby garage and the restaurant provides two hours free. The smell before you come in door is captivating. We ordered several small plates that all came out in a timely manner. The small plates were a hit. I especially enjoyed the octopus. One of my friends placed a gingerale order that took 45 minutes for him to get. I ordered the snapper without the head on it. This dish says it comes with shrimp in a curry sauce. When the fish arrived it was in a bowl and completely deboned there wasn't any shrimp and it look pretty plane for the price. The manager came to the table to see if everything was ok. I expressed my concern that dish didn't have anything other than the cut up fish. He assured me that was how the dish was served but would check on getting me some rice. It took almost another hour before the food for the rest of table came out and the rice. That was when I learned I was given the wrong dish! The cook came out to apologize for the langauage barrier!! My actual snapper dish did indeed come with shrimp. Pretty much everyone enjoyed their dishes. The lobster received raving reviews. The only con here is the Seriously SLOW Service (SSS). Because of our extended time at the restaurant the manager took care of everyone's parking. I don't think I'll be back to restaurant however if I were to go I would stick to small plates.

... simply wonderful! From fresh and tasty ingredients and dishes, to attentive and friendly customer service - HIGHLY recommend!

Great Indian restaurant in Midtown Atlanta less than 15 minutes walk from Hyatt centric Hotel Cheese nan to test Pleasant and available staff

I had a lovely lunch at Tabla today. I don't have much experience with Indian food, so tried the Chicken Korma - a cashew and yogurt based curry. The chicken was moist and tender and the sauce perfectly seasoned. It was served with a large bowl of basmati rice, and I ordered a side of their delicious garlic naan. The portion was huge and I had enough to bring home for a nice dinner. Also enjoyed the ambiance. The restaurant is beautiful, very clean, and the light fixtures spectacular. Parking in midtown can be pricy, but Tabla validates, which is definitely a bonus. Highly recommend!

The Indian food was exactly how it tastes in India. Very filling and nice and service also very prompt. Good to see many foreigners eating Indian food too. Paneer subjis are excellent and also all the breads. I would suggest that they should more brighter lighting. All in all a very good experience

My wife and I were in town for a family wedding and found this place by searching Open Table for best lunch places in midtown Atlanta. Our first experience was for lunch and it was absolutely and without exception, outstanding. Neerav provided outstanding service, the food was remarkable, and the ambiance was beautiful. We had such a great experience that we booked a table for 12 for the wedding party for the next evening. Once again, Neerav was on point with the service, and you could literally throw a dart at the menu and be delighted with what the kitchen prepared for you. With customizable spice levels for every dish, the menu has something for everyone. The bar is inventive and creative, and Siddesh at the bar can craft a custom cocktail to meet just about any taste. This is now a must visit for us on every trip to Atlanta. Very much looking forward to out next visit!

Reading all the positive online reviews I decided to try Tabla. Based on my experience I wonder if this is not a place for vegetarians since other reviews are positive about this restaurant (and the suggested dishes are non-vegetarian). Certainly one can't go wrong with the Indian bread but it must have been one of those days in the kitchen! As has been my experience with several other Indian restaurants around the country, service is not to be expected, but there are definitely exceptions to it. Why is it difficult for these businesses to understand that a pleasant smile and a greeting goes a long way in complementing a good meal to provide an wholesome experience.

Exceptional quality authentic South Asian cuisine. I had misgivings as there are many mediocre Indian restaurants about, but this was a delightful surprise. Restaurant is located on the ground floor of a new condo skyscraper. We dined at the sidewalk tables that offer a window into bustling midtown city life near the Georgia Tech campus. I was impressed to see many South Asian neighbors dining, perhaps an implicit endorsement of quality and authenticity. I have travelled to Delhi snd Mumbai many times, and found great food in Manhattan and London. This one is close in quality. We ordered: - mango lassi: the best I’ve enjoyed anywhere. - naan Parmesan and truffle oil: good not great. Try the garlic naan. - chicken curry Moelli: excellent: had to ask for mango chutney to complement intense savory impact. - lentils: the black lentils are better than the yellow. - fried cauliflower: world class - veggie samosa: excellent - tiki margarita: intense fruit and balance - Lolo cocktail with elderflower: tasty, complex and unique. We paid $120. Great service and environment. Park in the deck above restaurant. They validate (a great benefit as parking in midtown is impossible).

The cauliflower appetizer, the tandoori shrimp, the Chicken Malai, the lamb chops and the lamb curry were outstanding! We went twice during our four day stay in Atlanta! Service was fast, friendly and efficient!

This place was awesome! The ambience was great and the service was top notch. The bartender served some of the best drinks I've ever had, and was very attentive, AND had a cool Batman keychain..LOL..Ordered the samosas and they were on par. The mango chutney goes well with those. The butter chicken was savory and the lamb had just the right spice. Great place for a date night, to hang with friends. Will most definitely be back!

Their food is mediocre, the service is slow and they use toxic red food coloring in their curries and sauces

I love Tabla! Their food is really fresh and tasty! I usually start with the goat cheese and herb naan. Their naan is the best I've had. They cook it fresh on location. The Lassoni cauliflower is a good appetizer also. I love shrimp and curry, so I usually get the Moilee with shrimp. I tried the upgrade to a THALI. This was more of a sampler because it comes with more options (veggie of the day/dal/naan/rice/dessert), but just in small portions. Lastly, the ambiance and the service is great. I have no complaints! Best, Elizabeth

A lovely very busy restaurant that does serve the best Indian food I've had in years--probably since the last time I was in India. The service can be a bit chaotic--but it was a packed night. Nevertheless, the food was excellent. The flash fried okra starter lived up to all of the reviews here--memorable! The waiter helped me decide among the lamb dishes by telling me that the chef is from Rajasthan. So the lamb shank it was...and it was fabulous. Spicy and complex. Just as I hoped. The only disappointment was that they only had in stock a third of the white wines listed "by the glass." That is a mis-step. But overall, a wonderful "foodie" experience.

Ate here with a few friends and have nothing but compliments. The wait staff were top notch and the food was wonderful. Everything we had was tasty. The Garlic Naan and Samosa’s were incredible.

I had a nice lunch here with a colleague and a customer. I had the vindaloo and it was quite good - spicy without being over the top. All of the dishes looked good. Indian is not usually my first choice, but I quite liked Tabla.

Food quality is consistently good. Have been there with famly and other times, with friends and business associates. Service tends to be unreliable once the restaurant fills up (after 7 pm, esp.weekends), so I recommend getting there early. Non-alcoholic drinks are wonderful, especially with a spicy meal. Vegan diners will get a good selection of food. For non-vegans, I recommend the tandoori style whole fish, though that might be seasonal. Great experience.

This past weekend it was quite cold in Atlanta so the idea of some warm curry sounded wonderful. We walked over to Tabla to get our fix. On our walk down you can smell the curry literally a couple blocks away! It is quite inviting. The first thing I noticed as we stepped inside is that this is not your typical hole in the wall Indian restaurant. This is a very classy and well decorated restaurant. Also the staff are very friendly. Opening doors to usher you in, pulling your chair back to sit down, and throughout the meal ensuring your water is full. Not what I expected especially at lunch. They have a lot of traditional menu items and some more interesting takes throughout the menu. For the first visit we stuck to the basics. I got Chicken Vindaloo and my fiancé tried the Chicken Tikka Masala. We also ordered plain Naan. Both dishes came out quickly. The Naan order gives you four large pieces of warm naan which was good. The Vindaloo was tasty and though my first few bites I did not feel it was very spicy by the time I finished the dish I no longer shared that opinion. The chicken was good but a little tough. The chicken tikka masala had good flavor but again the chicken was a little tough. The flavors hit the spot. I would happily come back here. Their dinner menu deserves more exploration and our first taste has me interested to try some of the more interesting dishes on it. Price point wise this is a little more expensive than some other places in town, but given their location and the experience I feel they do a good job of making it feel warranted.

We stayed at that Hyatt close by and found this place for dinner. Lucky that we got here before 7 and got a table for 2. Noticed that most of the tables were reserved and many people stopped by and had a wait of over an hour. Food wad delicious. The little choice of craft beers was perfect as it makes it easy to pick a beer. One advice, make a reservation as the place is small and gets full.

Tabla is a good option if you want north indian food. I was here with my family and we had a good meal. I loved their dal makhani and mint naan. But their paneer butter masala had sugary gravy and malai kofta was also sweet. Service was decent Follow my food journey on Instagram- teekhi_mircheee

I love Tabla. From the service, comfort, and best of all the flavor, this place is fantastic. Multiple apps were fresh and delicious. The moilee thali is always my favorite, but the vindaloo should not be missed. The service is impeccable, they do not ask if you want more water, etc... they watch and serve. For the people whining about price: just hush. There is no doubt the price is worth every penny. This food is fresh, unique, and plentiful. I always order thali style at lunch. The first time I visited, I was shocked at what appeared to be small portions. However, my eyes deceived me, I left stuffed with a to-go box. Thali is awesome because you get to try various flavors and sides. I need this place in my life once a week. Voting 6 stars. Thanks!

So sophisticated, Partab served us and found his advice the best for choosing the food. The food taste great 👌.

We had the crispy okra and tandoori octopus appetizers. Both were creative and very good. For our entrees, we had chicken biryani (a MUST), tiki kassala and butter naan. It was all excellent. Prices were moderate and appropriate for the quality.

Good panoramic but our two main dishes of Chicken Makhani were obviously the last two portions in the pot and just tasted of burnt sauce.Didn't want to make a fuss as it was a family evening out though my son did mention it to the server/owner when asked how the food was. We then got a nonsense story about why it tasted so different to the same sauce my other son was served. Not good! Won't be back.

S really hoping this would be 4 or 5 but can't do it. Truthfull I just had the Appetizers; Crab Masala, Octopus Tandoori, Cauliflower masala and garlic Nan. The octopus was interesting however everything else despite being inspired and pushing the limits was just not executed with finesse it was either smothered in too much sauce that masked the ingredients or in the case of the Cauliflower turned the crunchy into the mushy.

Great Indian food. Sat at the bar- bartender was cool, efficient, and knowledge- worked there for few years. I had two small dishes, bourbon special, and Alsace Lorraine Riesling. Tv on sport in no events for visual entertainment.

Tabla is really, truly our absolute favorite Indian restaurant. It's a winner every time. The larger the party the more you'll enjoy the variety of the menu. We always share our choices amongst ourselves. Start off of with some veggie mimosas (absolutely delicious) or any of the other small plates. They're all very good. During our last visit we opted for lamb Biryani (a personal favorite), buttered chicken, Korma and Mollee. All freshly prepared and tasty. Just tell the staff if you like extra spicy. The restaurant is classy with a comfortable, cozy ambience. Guests dress business casual and up. i can imagine this place to be an excellent location for a first date. Prices are very decent and the staff super friendly and accommodating. Making advance reservations is recommended. We dined on a Sunday evening and parking in the nearby parking garage was free. Tabla is one of only a few restaurants we frequently return to. We highly recommend it.

We visitted on a weekday. No wait time, food was excellent, service was quick. Only suggestion is, Please buy a jar of pickle. You must be the only Indian restaurant who doesn't have pickle.

This is a good restaurant with a good selection of Indian dishes. The samosa appetizer was tasty and a good portion size. The meals are also a of good portion and the service was good. One drawback, Friday and Saturday nights are busy are noisy, and do not make great atmosphere if you want an intimate setting or even to have quiet conversation.

Four of us went for dinner. The décor, service and the food was the best we had in Atlanta Indian Restaurants. We had Lamb Briyani, Lamb Chops, Fish Curry, Crab Cutlet, and other dishes. The quality of food and the taste was excellent. The cost of the food is some what Pricy and the noise level was rather high for a business meeting. Overall, the experience was very very nice. Highly recommend. The Kulfi Ice Cream was the best.

I really loved the wonderful flavors of my meal in this unique setting. The Spinach Chaat was so good, and the Tandoori Shrimp was also excellent. Both were small plates with just enough food to satisfy my appetitie. Nirav guided us with great suggestions and was a very attentive server. Such a treat!

Service was good, but servers could have been friendlier. We had a little bit of everything and it was all great. Sit at the bar if you can, Mike is awesome, upbeat, friendly, gives great suggestions on food and drink.

We ate here with a vegetarian friend and there were so many options for her. We were very pleased with all the menu selections, especially the appetizers. I especially loved the saag. The staff was very sweet and attentive as we could not get into our hotel room - they stored our luggage while we ate! Cocktails were varied and good with an Indian twist. Lots of Indian families were eating here, which I always take as a positive sign. Many people were waiting on tables as we left. This restaurant is in a nice mid-town section near many hotels, so it can get quite busy. The bar seemed fairly lively too and various sports games were on. It was a mid-range dining atmosphere, but prices were fairly high. However, you are in the city and I think the price range was realistic.

Stopped here with friends for dinner on a Saturday night. Booked outside table on Opentable. Glad we were outside as inside was loud. Outside table excellent and service very good. We had a range of Indian dishes, chicken / beef and goat to share along with naans. Portions were of a good size and all dishes were well done. Not cheap restaurant once we added in wine and cocktails - but great for a special meal.

Excellent quality of Indian food and the service is outstanding, especially by Amit Singh ! The thali, butter chicken and chicken saag are great!
Great spot
My wife and I met up with my cousin here. The food was excellent, the service was on par and the food was great. We had Reservations at 7:30 on a Thursday and had nothing negative to say. I love the fact we chose this place to stop in and will definitely be back.
