Great Server & Food!

By MsPearl105 |

Our server was friendly and conversational. He suggested entree and drink items from the menu. The building is not very big, but there weren't many people so we were seated rather quickly, If you like Friday's, you won't be disappointed with the food.

Pleasantly Surprised!

By GinBlox |

I typically don't dine at TGI Friday locations outside my home town because I usually travel to destinations where I'd like the local cuisine. A friend and I made an exception on the 4th of July as we were in the Dallas West End where there weren't many dining choices still open at the time we got around to it. But, faithful TGI Fridays was open & inviting. From the moment we entered, we were treated extremely well. The staff was friendly, attentive & engaging from the start. We enjoyed exceptional service from our server. I believe her name was Kristen. A lot of people wouldn't seem pleased about working on a holiday. But, this was definitely not the case with this crew.

Disaster

By John G |

This visit was an unmitigated disaster. It was late so the restaurant was nearly empty. The food took an hour. We should have been bugging to see our food, but we didn’t really see people to ask. When it finally came, each of the meals had serious problems: over cooked, missing ingredients, cold, burnt, tiny protein proportions. It was clear that a number of the plates were left under the heat lamp for a long long time. We were told they had a big order of take outs so they couldn’t really serve us. The manager just said, “don’t worry about paying for the food.” And let us go. We didn’t eat anything. Gave two stars as the manager didn’t yell at us at least.

Just like the others

By Noireevb |

Wait staff just not up to par. Other waitress kept taking our order. Our waitress Yolanda however tried very hard to make us happy. We did wait a very long time and my daughter had to wait while we ate. The manager gave her a coupon for a free appetizer on her next visit. How cheap!

Standard TGI's and good servuce

By Mark S |

Pretty typical TGI Fridays. Atmosphere was unique to being downtown Dallas not very large but settings were comfortable. I love the service especially since we just had some bad service across the street. Will come here again probably before we leave Dallas.

Slow service

By smiller376 |

This was our 2nd choice for food, we originally wanted to go to the Spaghetti Warehouse, however the wait time was over an hour, so we walked over to TGI Friday's. The wait time there was really no better. We had a party of 9, 3 adults and 6 kids, ages 4-11. It was a Saturday night around 6p. Our waitress was nice, however very slow in getting our drinks to us and our food. The food was good. It took awhile to get our bill and one of our guests needed to make a take out order for his spouse that was not able to attend, that took awhile as well. We felt kind of forgotten during our visit. Food was good, wait time was not, service was not either.

Easy Way for a Quick Meal after a Long Flight

By HerbertPaul |

She and I were directed to N Market Street by our front desk receptionist at the hotel around the corner. For a couple just off a 16 hour travel experience from Sydney, we wanted something quick, light and easy. So many good options in N Market Street, but after a street inspection of ten or so, opted for Fridays because we saw so many happy diners there inside and outside at 6 pm on a Sunday evening. We were given a booth and a really helpful server, who wanted to please us most of all. I asked about the raspberry Long Island Tea, but she said unless you really want the rasberry touch, try the regular one, only $4 on Happy Hour, but the real deal would cast $9.20. We ordered two different apps (appetisers with unlimited refills) at $12 each; one serve proved enough for both of us, so the server billed us the much lower price for each. That's good and 100% recommendable service!

Open till late. Great Food

By SaunakGhosh |

TGIF lived true to it's world standards and what better place to have a steak in Dallas than TGIF itself. Located close to the Kennedy memorial in Downtown Dallas, this was one of the very few restaurants which were open post 9.30 pm and they were quick, efficient and courteous in serving the food. Recommend the loaded potato skin with bacon, Potstickers and the Jack Daniel Chicken & Shrimp

Great food, great service

By Allanapr |

The waiter was super attentive. The food had a fresh flavor and the meat was cooked on point. Beers were cold. Overall, great service. Would visit the place again!

$10 All-you-can-eat Appetizers!

By Tanja D |

My son saw a commercial for all-you-can-eat appetizers for $10 so Tuesday night the family headed down to the nearest location (Market St). I will say prior to our arrival I was a bit concerned about parking however we found a spot right in front of the building (nice). The restaurant had a nice patio section to sit and enjoy the outdoors as well as the beautiful horse drawn carriages that were trotting along. We opted for a table indoors where the ac was. TGI Fridays decor has come a long way since my last visit years ago. We were immediately seated and our drink orders were taken by a very personable young lady. In addition to the sweet tea (great) and ice waters I also ordered a Jim Beam cocktail that was awesome. Within a few minutes our drinks were on the table and she was taking our food order. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the different dishes and patient with us while we tried to make up our minds. My son ordered the all-you-can-eat boneless buffalo wings, my husband ordered the steak & ribs platter with loaded potatoes. I ordered the chicken & shrimp skillet dish. While waiting for our food our waitress was very attentive--making sure our drinks were refilled. Our food came out and everything was great except my chicken & shrimp dish. My chicken was a bit dry/over cooked but once I informed the waitress she apologized and immediately took it back to be re cooked. About 5 minutes later the manager walked up with another fresh hot plate of chicken & shrimp this time cooked to perfection. The manager was quite friendly, he even stood there while I took a bite--he made sure I was satisfied. He reassured me that it was cooked with "love" just like the earrings I was wearing which said "LOVE". I just pray he wasn't being sarcastic---I don't usually send food back because of the fear of what could possibly be done to it.

Food was awful

By Destin000 |

We stopped by for a late lunch and had mostly starters and one entree. The entree was pasta with chicken and it was okay. But the pretzel with cheese, Jack Daniels sampler, and the sesame chicken were all pretty bad. The chicken were lumps of meat breaded with little chicken, the sampler had ribs which had no meat and were dry, and the shrimp was dry. Service was reasonably good, but the food was terrible for the price.

Lunch Break

By JRR132 |

We ordered two appetizers and two beers on tap. The food tasted good and the staff were friendly and helpful during our visit. The atmosphere was festive and comfortable. Prices are reasonable for what you get.

Bad service

By Beth M |

I came for dinner by myself and sat at the bar. The restaurant was pretty empty as was the bar. And yet, everything took forever. The food was good but it easily took 20-25 minutes (for chicken and broccoli). When I finished, the plate stayed sitting in front of me for another 15 minutes until I finally had to ask the bartender for my check. The service here definitely needs improvement. It's no wonder the place was dead.

New Years Eve

By Hicks B |

We stopped in here for a early dinner on New Years Eve and the Service and Food was Great. The waitresses were having a great time and making everyone's dinner very pleasant.

Good food, typical of TGI Friday's

By T B |

I was impressed with the quality of the steak served at this TGI Friday's. I recommend signing up for the TGI Friday points program found on their web page. This location is close to downtown metered parking - - while other locations (such as Plano) have free parking.

Standard TGI Friday experience

By Zenobia240 |

This TGI Friday offers the usual fare for the franchise although not quite on a par with the standard that we have enjoyed elsewhere. Nonetheless, the service was prompt and cheerful, and the restaurant had a friendly vibe.

Good dinner and quick service

By Tirzah D |

We walked here from our hotel in downtown. We were seated fast and our food came to us quickly too. Our waitress was helpful too. I got one of their new slushies and it was delicious. Our food was typical of a TGI Fridays!

Was a good end to the day

By AlwaysCoop |

Had a good time with family here. The service was great and the atmosphere made for a really pleasant evening.

Ordered take-out

By lujacque |

We had take-out and it was very good. They even prepared the order correctly which is always a plus when you order take-out and someone else picks it up for you.

Rude

By Shelia T |

The servers were rude and slow. It wasn't just our server, it was different servers. They weren't super busy either.

Great service

By Dalia L |

We ate at the West End location, and our service was speedy and accurate. The menu is really 3 star, but the great service made this stop exceed expectations.

Good food but small servings

By SirisManila |

Visited May 21, 2013. We went here for late dinner and it was a restaurant we were familiar with. Tuesday night along at West End was pretty quiet. When we got in the restaurant around 10:30pm, there were not a lot of people. Just a few guys along the bar watching the live NBA playoffs that evening. We ordered the tuna on tortilla chips with guacamole for starters. The picture seemed like the portion was a bit bigger but when it arrived, it was much smaller than expected. It was delicious though. If you are hungry, you might want to order 2 of these. A bit pricey considering the portion size. Then we had the sizzling chicken with shrimps and melted cheese. This was yummy and no complaints here. Since our starter fell short of our expectations, we ordered the spinach dip. It was tasty but the accompanying chips were too thick and we would have preferred a thinner type of chips for it. I ordered a cocktail drink which as expected, is more watered down and was too sweet for my taste. There was just two of us and we spent around $40. Our server was very friendly. This place was just a short 2 minute walk from our hotel - Springhill Suites. It is still a familiar establishment and if you are looking for some usual dishes, this place will be a good choice.

Great Food & Service

By noway0729 |

Went in on a Sunday afternoon about 3pm not quite sure what to get, but wanting something. The host made us feel comfortable, and the waitress was quick to the table. We placed our order of which the waitress repeated back to us verbatim. I knew we were in good hands. The food was great and so was the service.

Poor customer experience

By jonathanfsm |

First I want to say that the server was great. The manager is where the problem is. Rude arrogant and un professional would be a compliment. My experience was the worst. I travel for work and eat out 6 days a week. 2 meals a day and never have I been treated so poorly by a manager. Started off when what I ordered was not available. I asked the server who was training to ask the manager. He comes to my table and tells me that they don't Cary any type over vinegar in the restaurant. Ordered oil and vinegar for my salad. Then the shrimp that one ordered on the menu supposed to come with cocktail sauce, told it's by request only. By the time I got it the shrimp was cold. My steak I ordered rare and received medium well. To add insult to injury or was told no steak sauce. If the servers were not good. And the one was not training I would have walked out. Needless to say I ate a dry salad. Cold fried shrimp and a bland over cooked steak. This is the last time I will eat here. And will consider not eating at fridays altogether. I know that a customer that eats at fridays 3 to 4 times a month is not much but it is still a lost customer. I will be sure to tell everyone who will listen about the bad experience here in Dallas. No wonder this place is so slow.

Average

By AyanaMap |

My family and I visited right when they opened in the morning. The place is small but it wasn’t crowded. Service was typical with nothing extraordinary nor terrible.

Business Lunch

By HOLLY93A |

Four of us order the quick lunch because we had to catch a shuttle back to a conference. Food did come out hot but it took a long time and we also missed our shuttle. Server was nice enough but the place was cramped and very tight to walk around in.

Yucky!!!!!!

By Brittany Z |

So I insisted that my husband and I go here bc it was familiar to me. BIG mistake!! They seem very understaffed. My husband ordered a beer and it was awful it was flat! We should have just left then but we were both hungry so we stayed and ordered. I ordered the fried shrimp,(the breading was still gooey) and chicken crusted parmesan (the crust on the chicken was burnt and the chicken was soo dry) with mashed potatoes(tasted like they were made from a box) and broccoli (the only thinh I really ate). My husband ordered half rack of ribs (they had hardly any meat on them), fried shrimp (gooey breading), and fries (the only thing he liked on his plate). We ordered cheese fries too as an appetizer and they were okay. I would not recommend eating here.

Fun

By Jani J |

went for dinner & was pleasantly surprised with a terrific salmon with lobster dish that was delicious. Service was great.

Small & dark

By Sylvia G |

This was our 1st time here. Tables to me seemed to close together. The lighting was also to dark for me. The location itself just was to small. The bathroom smelled horrible. Place was not packed. We were immediately seated. Our orders was taken immediately. 1st location I visit that takes 2 orders at once for the all you can eat appetizers. Even then stuff came out randomly & the side order of fries took way longer than expected. Had to ask for them twice. Flat bread was only crispy on the edges. Boneless buffalo wings were to dry. The potato skins lacked flavor. The best thing was the pot stickers & chicken quesadillas. Oh & the bacon nachos did have that delicious bacon flavor. The staff was a bit slower than expected but maybe the kitchen was not staffed accordingly. Either way it was ok but not sure about returning.

Sewage Smell Ruins It

By LisaRenee_Recommends |

I absolutely LOVE TGIF and it is my go to place when I want a quick bite. This particular TGIF is in the West End in a great location. It is in a very old building which adds to the charm. Unfortunately, when I walked in, the restaurant smelled horrible and had a very strong sewage smell. I did place an order at the bar to go but could hardly stand the smell. I asked the man next to me if he noticed the smell and he said yes, because it's an older building. Surely this can be fixed?!!

Lifesaver

By HushidarKharas |

TGIs was the only restaurant that was open when we reached our hotel (this was 9 pm, man does Dallas sleep early!) The jack Daniels burger was great, as was the atlantic salmon.

Below average food ad poor service!!!

By Rockdoc7 |

I haven't been to a restaurant this poor in years. I will never go back. The food was terrible. The onion rings were so fried they were hard and burned. The burger was below average. The service was the worst i experienced in years and they got the order wrong twice

I usually have a better experience at Friday's

By lacy g |

I usually have better food and service at TGI Friday's, but this was my first visit to this one. I had a coupon for a free chicken entrée. My husband and I usually split the sizzlin' chicken and cheese and there is plenty for both. That wasn't the case this time. There were not very many vegetables and 3 very small chicken breasts instead of the 2 decent size ones we are used to. The service was a little lacking and the restaurant wasn't that crowded. The worst part was when I was using my credit card to pay, and I cut my finger on their credit card holder when I got it out because the plastic part was cracked.

Basic Friday's

By Duncrub |

Just a basic Friday's. Nothing special. Ordered the Korean Steak Tacos, don't bother! Tacos were dry and stale, meat was poor. Only go if you absolutely have no other choice and don't want to go to far from the SpringHill Suites.

Poor Customer Service

By Chanel H |

My name is Coco Chanel and I want to write a review on how horrible this experience has been for me! I ordered food from TGI Friday’s through DoorDash. I ordered salmon, a rice pilaf, and Brussels sprouts. I paid extra to add six fried shrimp onto my order. All together my food order came to almost $30.00! When I got the food the salmon look more like a chicken strip, the rice pilaf was more like a small spoon full of rice, and the brussel sprouts were burned to a crisp. Today I placed the same order through DoorDash whom I called and they credited my account for the service I received. When I reached out to TGI Friday’s I spoke to Rick the manager. He was very rude. I explained what I received from my order the prior day and he immediately blamed DoorDash. After I explained to him that DoorDash is not responsible for burning my food and being stingy he then agreed to check my order. I then asked to speak to a District Manager and he refused to give me there contact information. He said that if I got the food and was not satisfied he would give me the number. Then he volunteers the generic number for customer relations! You know TGI Friday’s used to be on every corner in Dallas and all over the country just like Chili’s but I see why there are only a few left! Rick your customer service sucks and I will follow up on who the Districtsnager is for your location on Market Street in Dallas, TX. Don’t eat at this dump because they seem not to value customers spending there hard earned money for food from them!!! ~Coco Chanel

Something more than just good food.............

By gerard a |

This TGIF has made Dallas better…………………………. This TGIF, located at 1713 N Market St, Dallas, TX, is more refreshing than any other that we have been to. It is situated on a smaller street, next to an alley, with angle parking on the front and some parking on the side. A French style café seating outside, surrounded by a low cast iron fence, with about 10 tables. If it wasn’t cold and wet, we would have sat at one of those tables. The reason for the details?……….most times, all of their food tastes the same. The difference maker is the charm and character of your surroundings. Inside, the brick walls rise up to near 20 feet. The grill is close enough that the lingering aroma always finds its way to your table. We sat at the front window, and during those 40 minutes, only 4 cars came down that road (and that was at 5 p.m.). It is charming, and the food was great. My sizzling platter was just that…….Sizzling. ( chcken and shrimp). Deven, our waiter, was always available, and pleasant to talk to. What would make it perfect, either inside or outside, is to have Louis Armstrong singing some of his Louisiana Jazz, or find some French Café style squeeze box music, that is on the romantic side.. Make an effort not to just eat and run. Having been in Paris with Barb, this place should be more than a meal. It should also be a memory. Enjoy the Holidays. Jerryandbarb8

Convenient and good

By Wayne F |

We had spinach dip and cheese sticks for an appetizer, both very good. The cheese encrusted chicken I had was good, the family likes their burgers and chicken also. Near the attractions in Dallas and the cost was reasonable for the area.

Superb

By Neil J |

I have lost count of how many times we have eaten here. The food is always great the staff are brilliant you always get a great experience with every staff member.

Decent food and Central location

By DisneyCA2012 |

Good place to grab a bit to eat after visiting the JFK Museum. The food was what you would expect from a TGI's. Great place to just relax downtown after being on your feet for a good part of the day exploring downtown.

Seriously slow service

By JS5071 |

I had to wait 20 minutes to get a beer and the place was fairly empty. The staff weren't observant and we slow to on the drink orders. I was in a group of two so I don't understand the wait. On another note the food looked fabulous

A Nice, Happening Place to Dine

By MrGlen |

Good food and good service. Late hours and comfort food at reasonable prices for downtown, nightlife dining. A great place to hang out if in the area and staying at hotel close by (Springhill Suites by Marriott). You can also catch a carriage ride just outside the restaurant doors should you like a nice romantic stroll around the city.

Rushed and packed

By brian s |

I know what else do you expect right? Rushed and packed in an airport sitdown airport should be expected. But when it this bad you would think some action can be taken like expanding the place. Food was A typical of these "bag" restaurants. The highlight was the waiter who could do his own stand-uo routine...wait he did!

Very SLOW service

By rama1 |

Have been to a number of these in various places and not been disappointed ... Till now. Took 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive and one was wrong, went with the flow rather than wait another 15 minutes. Didn't seem crowded and at least 1 couple left before their order came. Not good enough

Great service!

By Gina K |

We ate lunch here on 8/26 and had a great server. I wish I could remember her name. Recently moved from Louisiana, but answered all of our Texas questions. Great service!

First night meal

By Daryl P |

Arrived in Dallas today, wandered around looking for a place to eat and most were pretty busy. We waited for a table but once seated the service was friendly and good and the food was delicious.

Near the Aquarium

By Craigh-KRPH |

We were looking for somewhere to eat near the Dallas Aquarium and stopped in. Nothing spectacular, but everything we ordered was tasty and the service was good. This is a safe bet if looking for a decent place with a variety of things on the menu.

Really tasty food!

By hmgoertz |

Our server was so helpful, patient and cheerful. We were 10 people (2 couples, 8 singles) with staggered arrival. No problem getting everyone fed at the same time. No problem with separate checks either!

Consistently okay but never great!!!

By Wes K |

This restaurant which i have visited many times over the years during Dallas trips is conveniently located in the West End and only a few steps from my motel. Service and food is always "just okay"... never an exceptional visit, never exceptional food or service, just always "ok". If you're looking for a fun place with great food, this probably isn't your best choice. If you're looking for something to eat and an adult beverage, they will likely satisfy your desires. I found they are almost always "out" of one or two of their draft beer choices (it seems to change very night) and it tends to make me wonder why they keep their beverage inventory so conservative. You will consistently wait for someone to greet you upon arrival and the staff generally have an air that makes you feel they'd rather be somewhere else. But they do consistently get the job done, albeit without much friendliness or conversation. Generally I've found other Friday's locations to have a great vibe, good food, friendly service in my travels. This location is consistently a step down from my typical TGIF experience.

It's Friday's

By BrussoDallas |

What can I really say it's Friday's. Because it's in the West End it adds a little more excitement. They do have some outdoor seating if you can get it. We ate here after there was too long of a line where we had planned on eating. It's a short walk from the Dallas Dart Rail & a short walk from the AA Center.

Big size dishes!

By Erez E |

Located in the old city, Dallas, very comfortable to find, good service, quick, clean. dishes portions are extra large (we came hungry so it was a good treat). Recommended.

TGIAnytime

By Barry W |

8 of us, 5 adults and 3 kids, went here and had a blast. Good food, good service, the selection was great, and the kids got exactly what they wanted.

service

By redf0rdd0gs |

My husband asked apolice man where was the best place to go for adrink he said this place so we went, service very slow staff looked like they all had abereavement In the family , ok food but being from uk no one could understand us and the didn't explain what food was.

Excellent atmosphere.

By Phil U |

Really taken care of by Benni. Great food and atmosphere with excellent service. Not your typical TGIs! Cant fault it. Well done!

We love Friday's!!!

By Lei510 |

Food great or at least all the things we've tried which are many, fun get together spot for a night out, parking can often be difficult

Delicious..

By botis626 |

we took advantage of the $12.00 menu items and we were served right on time, no wait. The wait staff was excellent. the food was worth the money.

Always a good go to

By jriner2017 |

Food was good and very in expensive. Would totally eat here again. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful.

Don't go here

By Yveringle |

I would give this place zero stars. Our food was cold and over cooked. We also ordered a birthday dessert and that came after asking about 4 different times. The waitress barely came to visit our table. I complaint to the manager. The complaint went in one ears and out the other. I spent excess $100 for our meal total. The meal we ate, nor service, was not even worth $10. Please do not go to this place. Overall the food and customer service is TERRIBLE.

Great dinner!!

By Cheyenne H |

Me and my boyfriend wanted to grab dinner after work and our first choice closed at 9 so we walked over to TGI Fridays, I have never been to this one and it was surprisingly good! The waitress was very polite and food was great.

Stopped in on a lark...

By Tigerlilyco |

The tables were sticky and the seat fabric was dirty. The service was terrible and the food was worse. I won't ever go back to one of these restaurants.

Really !

By canatraveller35 |

Went to this restaurant around 9 PM on a Monday night. There seemed to be nobody seating patrons. After standing there for 3 minutes went to the bar. There were maybe 7 people in the bar. The two people tending the bar seemed to be settling up some tabs. As I sat there waiting for someone to give me a menu or take my drink order, both the guy and girl at the bar seemed to look through me or were completely oblivious to my existence. The women was the slowest moving person I have ever seen. She literally took 10 minutes to put about 10 dollars into the cash register. Multi-tasking wouldn't have been all that difficult. She could have just taken my drink order, told me she would be with me in a minute, etc. Is it really that difficult to just acknowledge a customer? I won't be visiting this place again, ever !! Usually TGI's is good. This location should have its franchise revoked!

Oreo Madness

By Janet I |

The Cobb salad was the perfect size. I appreciated how everything: bacon bits, eggs, chicken, and other ingredients were arranged. The sweet tea took care of my thirst. The pied de résistance was dessert: the Oreo madness was the right proportion. Darnisha, our server, was friendly and accommodating.

Nice place

By Aaron F |

Good food, typical of this restaurant. Great service that was very friendly as well. If your downtown and hungry this isn't a place to look over

Great food, slower than slow service

By PattonFam |

Good atmosphere, great food but the service was sooooo slooooow. My husband actually had to go and seek out a server to order drinks 3x and then we waited forever each time. It was odd because it was mid afternoon and only a few other tables with guests. I would go back, but it certainly was frustrating.

Not worth the bill

By Murad B |

Unless you just want to be there for anything besides food, i wont recommend. The food is just ok, not bad, but a bit pricey for such ordinary taste.

Hmmm...

By LittleMissSunshine49 |

First went there for happy hour but no one mentioned happy hour when we ordered our drinks. Second visit for the delish Mango lemonade we were offered it hmm?!

Lunch at TGI Friday's

By tapperjoy |

Our family loves TGI Friday's!! Service and food is great!! We especially love the great potato chips and sauce!

What can you expect

By michaeld8f |

It's fried cheap bar food. What else needs to be said. I am suppose to type atleast 100 characters for TA to approve.

Lundh

By alice320 |

Good food, good company, good atmosphere. Waitress messed up our order and had the steak undercooked (should have been well cooked), and overlooked the burger pattie (should have been medium). Chef kindly put the steak back on for a few more minutes and gave us additional sides. Will return.

Really friendly staff and delicious food and beers

By jadeclarke44 |

From the moment we walked in the service was nice and friendly , the beer was cold and crisp. The food was nice, I had bacon encrusted ribs, they were devine🙄. This tgi Friday’s was much better than the one I went to near Times Square in New York City. Defiantly worth a visit, loved the staff.

Always great!!

By CalgaryJulia |

Affordable food and drinks! Tasty and excellent service!!

Works For Drinks

By TheTangoFox |

We came over to the bar area to have some drinks while waiting for a table across the street. Quick service, accurate orders. If you need a place to unwind for a short time, the bar area works.

WOW, this was a first

By Rick H |

Tried to grab a nice drink and dinner while I watched game one of the series. Well after getting a appetizer and talking with staff - I ordered some additional food. It came out wrong and argued with the staff of what I ordered, then someone came in and literally got stick on my feet. Well no way I could finish dinner - I pointed this out to the staff ... they found it funny and how I still paid for my entire bill is beyond me. No way I will ever go back and will keep others I know from going.

Not that impressed

By Jennifer H |

Came here yesterday after a day out with my family. I ordered a burger well done and it was, well, not well done lol. The kids seemed to enjoy it so that was good. It's a chain restaurant so I guess I can't expect much.

Big Disappointment

By Teresa P |

Typically, I love to eat at Friday's restaurants, but this particular one was frankly old. Old menus, etc. and didn't have a newer menu that I have seen at all the other Friday restaurants that I have eaten at. So we all just ordered cheese burgers cause who can mess that up? Ok, they tasted like burgers you get at the concession stand at a high school football game. Nothing gourmet about them. And for the price we paid, we should have just eaten at the Burger King down the street. Would have been a better burger at a cheaper price. Our waitress seemed nice, but she was very busy and stressed at times. We will not be eating here again.

Great staff, food to usual TGI Friday's standards

By Chris C |

Customer service was outstanding while I was there. Food was no different than a usual night at a TGI Friday's. If you're looking for a chain to go to, this is probably one of your best options.

Not the Standard TGIFridays

By pontifex76 |

Needing a late dinner after a very long day of work around 10PM, three coworkers and I stopped in hoping that the kitchen was still open. Though it did close at 10:30, we had a constant prompt flow of our chosen dishes and unlimited appetizers. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Good Food, Basic Service

By Ashley |

My family ate here for lunch while we were enjoying the museums nearby. The food was great and priced well; however, the service was poor. The staff could not properly accommodate my wheelchair-bound son, so I would not visit this location again.

Best bartender

By Rachel B |

Matthew was the best ever bartender!!!! Makes the most awesome drinks!!! If ever in the area stop by!! Everyone is super friendly!!!!

Better than average TGI steak

By B B |

This was probably the best TGI steak I've had, with other dishes of the usual chain quality. Service was OK as well, and the old town area nice for a short walk.

Pretty good but not wonderful

By avidtraveller |

We had a weekend lunch here - service was very good. Food was quite good - nice salads and sandwiches. We would recommend it for a quick meal with good service - price was fine for what we had

Ok but nothing more

We looked at a number of places on N Market St and chose Friday's as I usually enjoy their restaurants. It was 3pm on a Sunday and the place looked fairly busy - we were told there was a 20 minute wait for a table for 2. We decided to wait despite the lack of a warm welcome from the lady at the door. At the bar we spotted at least one quarter of the tables were vacant which appeared strange. Anyway we were seated after 15 minutes and got a nice table. Our server was friendly as was the server in the bar area. The food was standard fare - not the best I have had from Friday's elsewhere but not the worst. Would probably try another restaurant on my next visit here.

Good Dallas TGI

By Steve |

Just been to TGI after arriving in Dallas. Nice restaurant, situated in the West End of Dallas with plenty of other restaurants in the area. Typical TGI decor inside, with sporting memorabilia and large TVs. There is also an outside area with plenty of seats/tables. Staff really friendly, giving advice on the food and drinks aswell as local places to visit. Food very good. I had ribs - a little overcooked but still very tasty. Special offers on certain food and drinks so look at the menu carefully. Would certainly recommend.

You really do not want to eat here

We popped in on a Sunday around 1 p.m. There were a few people at the bar and a few more in the restaurant itself. We ordered a meal and asked the waitress to please make sure everything came out as quickly as possible, as we had a plane to catch. She did, but that's about the most we can say fior the place. The big disappointment was my wife's burger, which came out less than rare. We did not have time to send it back, but we did track down the waitress (who by now was in another room) and she said that burgers are supposed to come out well done. She took the plate and said she was taking it to the chef. We had to leave and did not see her after she went wherever she went. There was no offer to take money off our bill. I had a chicken caesar salad, which was okay. There could have been more lettuce, chicken and dressing.. M wife had ordered soup, and it never came. Fortunately, we were not charged for it. All this is a shame because the restaurant occupies a nice building prominently located in the Market Street historic area. The upside is there are lots of restaurants. If we go back to Dallas, we'll try one of the others. I have never been a fan of this brand of restaurant, and this meal cemented my impression of it. I won't go back, and you shouldn't, either.

Typical TGI Fridays but, Great bar service

By Fastnboat |

Eating alone is challenging but this Fridays seems to cater to many travelers. Eat at the bar, try one of their special $6 Watermelon drinks. Watch your parking meter so it doesn't run out of time. Park on street vs lots. better value at $1 per hour

Awesome

By pauljh4765 |

Staff are so friendly atmosphere is great and half price appetizers between 2 and 6 just makes it even better. We stayed for hours and just chilled. Can get busy so get in early

Roaches! Roaches! OMG Roaches!

By Fiebe F |

I'll never forget my visit at this nasty nasty Fridays, for mother's days I took my mom here it was her recommendation . The Servers were rude and as we were sitting in our booth we overheard a black male server with dreads asking a black manager man if he had a kinect for "fish scale" Cocaine. Then I looked to the right and saw a roach sitting in my booth like it paid rent there. It only gets worse though, when our entrees came I opened my silverware only to find a dead baby roach on the back of my fork. The managers apologies just weren't enough, call an exterminator and hire better people.

Great decor, fab location, staff were awesome. The bar tender was happy friendly just a joy to sit and chat to on my early evening visit. The food i have to say was some of the best i had while i was in Texas as was the service.Id love to say as was the atmosphere but it was rather quiet durring my visit.Would i go back? for sure i was the quiet english guy who wanted an uncle vanya cocktail but ended up with a beer:-))

Worst service in West End, by far.

By adv80203 |

I like the location of this restaurant, and my husband and I wanted to people watch, so we sat outside. It took our waitress 15 minutes to bring us water. Another 10 minutes for our drinks. The drinks are pricey and are in small glasses. The spinach dip was average, so we left as quickly as we could. I cannot stand slow service.

Surprisingly better TGIF

By DuttaTx |

We went around 4:30 pm for happy hour. The wine was just ok, beer was good with boneless wings garlic/parmagean. It was quick and not bad and plenty. Then we ordered chicken breast and shrimp. It came with melted cheese but no sides. We asked the server if they serve bread and the brought two garlic bread sticks and chargd for it. Next time I know better. We only went because it was close to our hotel.

great service!! fun place!!

After going to the JFK museum, we were just walking around in the area and ran into this restaurant. The server was fun and it was a great experience. Clean, Good service, Good food, Good price!!!

Cozy Atmosphere

By curioustravelor2010 |

The decor and staff give this place a neighborhood restaurant feel. The food is fine. We sat by the window to enjoy people watching. If you like TGIF’s you will like this.

Exactly what I was expecting for.

By Juan R |

no wait time, the waiter appears only when you need him, the food was really good, better than in other TGI Friday's, I ate half rack of ribs with mashed potato and coleslaw salad, it made my day. I will be back soon.

Deserves Zero Stars!

By Renee T |

Was in Dallas for a Jazz Festival on Sunday, Sept. 1st. Googled restaurants in downtown Dallas and Friday's came up. I was pleasantly surprised because I've always liked the restaurant because of the variety of menu items, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed is it was dirty. I hate to see food and used napkins on the floor. But I overlooked it....hoping someone would clean it soon. (And I was definitely going to request to sit in another area although the restuarant was small). Before the hostess greeted us, a patron/stranger approached us and said "Don't do it!" I asked why not and was told she'd been waiting for her food over an hour and a half and still had not been served. She had given up and was leaving. The restuarant was not crowded and we had taken an Uber and was hungry....so we waited. Not long afterwards, the hostess greeted us and said she'd be with us shortly. We watched that young lady clean several tables, consult with other staff then seat us. From there, we waited. The party of 4 sitting at a table across from us stopped a waitress and complain they had been waiting over 30 minutes and no one had taken their order. The exchange was heated and it was obvious they were very upset because of the poor service. Needless to say, we had to call another Uber to take us to another restaurant. This Friday's was poorly staff, dirty, and probably has lost lots of business because of it. I would recommend seeking other restaurant options. This one definitely gets an F in every area. And its it's so sad, because I've always liked this restaurant chain!

A Great Place To Eat and Celebrate!

By EllaWatson |

We love TGI Fridays! It's a great casual place to eat, drink, laugh and just have a good time. It's a must visit place. Good times happen at TGI Fridays!

Ate here late night

By msadler99 |

Wings were actually pretty good. Didn't want to eat much as it was well past 8pm, so this worked. Nachos ok. Walking distance from many downtown area hotels. If you have eaten here anywhere else, don't have high expectations. Fulfills your need for food.

Forgot my meal

By Midwester913 |

Stopped here while visiting Dallas. Ordered dinner with a group of friends from the bartender who was a good server. Food took about 30-40 mins to get to the table but they never brought my plate out. The server said my food was right behind him coming out. Well, the group finished their food and mine never appeared. Our first server clocked out and went across the street to smoke. The new server never noticed I didn't have my food. I had to go up to the bar and ask where my food was. About 20 mins later the manger brought my dish out and apologized. My food was free but even still I wouldn't go back. Service industry basics are a lost art here.

Don't go here

By ohayo1 |

In the UK TGI's is known for high energy staff and a good time. So I thoiught I would go into this one in DAllas to see the real American TGI's expecting to see something even better than in the UK. What a disapointment. Taken to my table, waitress came over didn't give her name, didn' seem to care all that much, no energy. Order beer and water. Then ordered potato skins followed by Steak. 30 minutes later my steak turns up, I say I am waiting for my starter but she wants me to take the steak and puts' it infront of me, saying that the skins are still cooking. I say no and then wait a further 10 before asking another waitress (as I hav't seen mine ) where my starters are, she checks and says they were only ordered 8 mins ago and that they take 10 mins. I explain I am not happy and am told that a manager will be advised. Skins turn up over cooked, after I finsh nothing and no one for another 10 minutes and plate still on table. Steak finally turns up and I am asked to check to see it's cooked properly, obviously using the saem cuttlery from my starter which is still on the table. It's actually really well cooked. $38 dollars for a really poor experience, not worth the money or the Time go to te YO steakhouse oer the road if yoiu want great service and quality food. Oh and after giving feedback to the TGI website nothing back from them either. What a disappointment.

Friendly staff but service can be slow

By Kevin H |

It's been a while since we've eaten at TGI Friday's and we probably should have avoided it on our trip here since there are plenty of other places to eat out at. We were tired and hungry so just went with a franchise knowing what to expect for the most part. We were greeted and seated immediately since there weren't many customers at that time. Our waitress stopped by shortly and wrote down our drinks and orders. Shortly afterward, we were given our drinks and tortilla chips with dipping sauce. We didn't expect this so it was a good starter to fill our empty stomachs. I think it took another 20 minutes after that before our food finally arrived. We ordered the bourbon barrel chicken with broccoli and fries, and the baby back ribs with fries. Haven't ordered a full rack of ribs for a while but it looked small when the waitress brought it out. I underestimated it and after going half a rack in and lots of meat in between, I gave up and had to take it to go. The ribs were cooked pretty well and the sauce on top was more than enough that I didn't need to use the extra sauce provided. The chicken was moist and seasoned well, but the broccoli was the downfall of this dish. It supposedly had lemon and pepper seasoning in it. Every bite was super salty where it's not really edible. The fries on the other hand were perfect. Overall, we're still satisfied with this meal. It might not be the best option for our meal, but it was very close by our hotel.

if you think this is good food, shoot yourself in the face. Or have a tongue transplant.

Long Wait, Food just ok, Bar drinks will give you diabetes

By Timothy K |

Visited this restaurant tonight table of 4. We went here for food and alcoholic beverages. We had to wait 11 min and 43 seconds before our waitress even came to our table. I had to summon the hostess to inquire if we were seated in an area with no service. We all had alcoholic beverages that was drowned in syrup. The drinks was made with so much that we had to pour water to attempt to drown out the sugar. When male manager was informed he did nothing about it. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp meal and it was just ok, nothing to crave over.

Understaffed!

By cellofool |

When we entered there was no hostess available. Staff working very hard. It was quite loud inside so We decided to eat outside. Napkins littering the eating area, dirty tables. When we finally got waited on it took an additional 30 minutes to get our drinks and even longer to get our meal – 45 minutes? We finally had to ask another waitperson if our drinks could be brought to the table. Bathroom unkempt with wet floor. Food so so. We won't return. I'm still here waiting for the check. There's plenty of other places to eat in this area.

Great ribs!

By Rich2112 |

I had a full rack of ribs here and they were very good, excellent service and even though this place is not in the best location it was still nice to sit outside. The price was very good (based on what i wouldve paid for an equivalent meal in the UK) and my waitress couldnt do enough for me. It was a very hot day and even after a couple of cokes my waitress still offered to get me a cup of water to walk away with when i left.

Horrible everything!

Bad wine literally, staff sucks at their job. Appitzer took foever to come our then our entress were out in 5 mins.Took 2 bites of my burger and it was falling apart. Serve knew something was wrong and didn't ask to remedy the situation. Will never be back!

Greasy burger bun cold fries

By danielgkendall |

We went in around 5:30 pm and were greeted and seated promptly. The waiter was new and inexperienced. We ordered cheese burger and blackbean burger. The bun was really greasy and my fries were old and cold. My wife got the fresh and hot ones! The manager came around asking how everything was, and I told him. They then brought out fresh ones to me. We also ordered fried cheese for $10, but when I got my bill they charged me another $9.80 for the second person. The waiter did not tell us, so the manager took it off my bill.

good solid food and service

By mongoose1020 |

The quality for Friday's has risen greatly every day of the week! Innovative menu selections like flatbreads have turned Friday's from a burger and margarita only joint to a fine middle of the road dining choice.

Good potential

By HoggLife1 |

Staff was nice. The orders took more time than I expected even though it was a Friday night. Got the cheesy chicken which was fair. They did however offer a live musical performance. The young lady was talented! There were tvs to watch game which was a bonus Notice they have a happy hour every day? If your a drinker this could be a honey whole for you.

Fun night at TGI Fridays

By Alittlemischievous |

I go here for their Onion Soup and TGI Friday Burger. They also have great mashed potatoes with onion bits. Yummy. The servers is one of the main attraction to TGI Fridays, they are personable, happy and eager to serve and have a great time with you. I enjoyed the music of my generation playing and it was a fun event. I think their onion soup is the greatest!

Good Location

We stopped and ate lunch on our way to visit the JFK site. A little dark, but average food, good service. We had the pasta, Fried Shrimp and Chicken burger.

Good place for an alfresco lunch

By tomthbomb |

T.G.I.Fridays is always a safe bet for a chain bistro. The Dallas West End store is not an exception. The patio on an early fall afternoon was perfect for a cold beer and a light lunch. The Pot Stickers could have been a little hotter.

Yummy Steak

By Hotel-Restaurant_Critic |

We went for one place( Ellens) the line was waaay too long So, ended up at TGIF on Market St. I'm glad we did . I have eaten at a TGIF 's before .Not this one though. I am not into tight spaces . I understand it though for profits it is necessary . Anyway that is my only issue, The waitstaff is super sweet and all smiles. I ordered a steak which was cooked with bourbon sauce. It was tender and very tasty. I would eat there again .

let's just say if you have to go here, the food is edible.

Horrible service at the bar

By cmac1177 |

We had just got into town and ran in for a bite and a drink. The hostess staff was great, bar staff was VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. No correction given by management. The food we got to go-it was horrible as well. Fortunate for them we did not check it until we left. I was very unsatisfied with the whole experience and am currently dealing with corporate about the visit. If you can go somewhere else, I advise you do so.

Very disappointed, very poor service

By BobU412 |

When you go to a place like TGI Fridays, you can usually depend on decent service, good menu selection. We arrived around 7pm on a Monday, and the place was NOT crowded. There looked like there was a good number of wait staff, and yet we had to wait for ever. It took forever to take our order , we ordered a simple meal, parmasan crusted salad, soup and quesadilla's . Again, had to wait for an unacceptable time. The chicken in the salad was so hard, it was hard to cut. We even had to ask another wait staff for our check. Very disappointed. There was no reason for this long delay.

Service Plus--Wonderful Folks and Excellent Food

By Mike_Adventure |

The West End in downtown is a fun place to be in the first place, but TGI Friday's makes it really worth the trip. Our server was awesome (major hockey fan) and sat with us during a late evening visit to share the menu and the culture at the restaurant. Sean, the manager, checked on us at least three times and made sure we were happy with the food and service. He's everything a quality restaurant manager could be. The appetizers and salads were great, the new apple cobbler dessert with killer vaniller ice cream was the topper. If you're down on the West End, visit Sean and the folks at TGI Friday's there. This is one Friday's that's good any day of the week--any time of day. He and his staff are awesome--and the button did the trick. Thanks.

Friendly staff, good food, kids are no problem, I liked the sweet iced tea!

More for families

By Salvador H |

We had no other option since the restaurant that we planned to have lunch has a waiting line of more than an hour, and the others were packed. TGI doesn't have it anymore. Maybe is a good places for families, but not for couples to have lunch. Place is clean, service was good and food was average.

Great Dallas West End Dessert!!

By John G |

You have to try the Tennessee Whiskey Cake at TGI Friday's!! It's succulent chocolate brownie covered in Friday's Whiakey Sauce and nuts and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is super hard to resist!! It's finger-licking good!!! (sorry, Colonel!). ;-)

Great Food and Excellent Service - Will Go Back!

By Christie D |

My husband and I were staying at a local hotel and it was after 10pm so there weren't a lot of restaurants still open on Market Street. At first, we questioned if we should go to Friday's because the music was so loud outside, but it wasn't that loud inside. We were served by Yolanda, who was one of the best servers that we've ever had. That was Friday night and we went back Saturday night with a group of friends. Yolanda served us again, and she made things happen! We will definitely be back!

Perfect lunch time

I visited TGI Fridays after visit Sixth Floor Museum, it was not the normal lunch time. The restaurant already almost empty and the waitress attend me with lot of care... I ate the Jack Daniels Burger... it was perfect

Interesting

By Hangry247 |

I was hoping for a quick bite to eat but in the end it turned out taking much longer than expected. Unfortunately they were out of a couple of options when I visited. I felt like this Friday's was not quite up to the standard expected. Service was friendly, so that's a positive.
