I have been the beneficiary to be a member of The Houstonian Club for the past thirty-five (35) years. The Tribute restaurant is one of my family’s favorite dining establishments. The management team at The Houston Hotel, Fitness, and Spa are some of the most generous, authentic, and humble people I have ever met. I have dined at some of Houston's finest dining establishments for year. The Tribute sets the standard for not only exceptional food, but the absolute Best service. Every time I walk in the restaurant, I leave feeling as though I was their most important customer of the week. Their attention to excellence is only second to their wonderful hospitality. MY sister took me to eat lunch the The Tribute Restaurant the other day for lunch and it was the best I ever had as I had salmon and a Caesar salad. The service was perfect as well as the food.

Nice staff, enjoyed drinks at the bar (bourbon with large cube). Food, however, was mediocre at best. Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Chicken was a bit dry with bland taste; bun was large and seemed slightly stale; lettuce was wilted.

We had a delicious dinner. Our waiter Eduart was very attentive and engaging. However the breakfast needs improvement. Why call it Classic Eggs Benedict when served on a burger bun? Also, fresh orange juice is a must in a high end restaurant.

TRIBUTE Restaurant inside the Houstonian Hotel is a great and inviting setting; inside and outside. This night it was quiet and comfortable inside and looked out to the green gardens and the majestic oak tree in white lights. The staff was very welcoming and made excellent recommendations from the menu and wine list. We three found a good variety to choose from, but this Texas girl likes a steak and the Black Angus Filet Mignon was perfect! The Smoked Pork Shank and Creole Bouillabaisse were the other chosen entrees. I did not try either, but heard raving remarks and they were beautifully served. Of course we had to have dessert, three; a Tres Leches Cake, Flan and a triple layer Pecan cake. We did share bites and each was so different, but all delicious. Find your way to TRIBUTE and enjoy the whole experience from cuisines of Texas, Louisiana and Mexico. I’ll be back too.

Fantastic restaurant, great food, and amazing service! I would highly recommend Tribute to anyone looking for a great place to dine. I look forward to going back.

This delightful restaurant proved such an excellent place for breakfast that we chose to start the day here for five consecutive days of our stay. Every dish we sampled was outstanding with subtle flavours and generous portions, but two things stood out above all : the quality of the food and the friendly professionalism of the staff. Each morning we concluded - why would we have breakfast anywhere else?

I was invited to a business breakfast meeting. It had been several years since I last visited The Houstonian. The Tribute in one of several restaurants in this fine hotel and spa. The menu is described as Tex-Lex and includes the following local cuisines - Texas, Louisiana and Mexico. Great ambiance and great place for either a business gathering or romantic dinner.

Tribute has always served healthy and tasty dishes. Took my girlfriend for a birthday lunch last Friday. We all had 3 salads with chicken and 1 with salmon. We didn't order drinks or desserts except for 2 hot teas. The bill came at $150. I know it was with linen table cloth and full service, but the price is getting unreal.

Oysters Rockefeller with chorizo, bacon wrapped quail with mezcal glaze was a top dish, blue crab claws were a bit tough and chewy. Pierce pibil very well done. Great service as well.

This restaurant was located off the lobby of the Hotel. It is well appointed and classy. They also have a wonderful outside area to dine as well. Our waiter was very attentive. We also enjoyed the Manager (Jasmine Pierce) who came by and was professional, friendly and made our experience superb. The food was tasty and creative. It is worth a visit if in the area, or staying at the Hotel.
Everything was Perfect!
I hosted four friends to dinner last night at the Tribute restaurant in the Houstonian hotel. The ambience was lovely and relatively quiet, so we could actually hear our conversation. Our server, Gonzo, was super accommodating and very friendly and attentive. And, the Food was exceptional!. At Gonzo's recommendation, I ordered the venison speical which he suggested would go best with our wine... it was a Napa Valley cabernet savignon, and it paired really well with the venison, which was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Everyone else started with a salad and ordered something different from mine, (the braised Pork Pibil, the Creole Bouillabaisse, the Wood-Gilled Redfish and the seared Yellowfin tuna), and all raved about their dishes. So, everything was perfect!!
