On a Sunday walk down Atlantic Ave, we stopped here for lunch. There’s a friendly atmosphere, it’s spotlessly clean and you can watch the chef prepping the sauce and octopus before they put up your dishes. We had the eggplant parm, served thinly sliced without the heavy breading so the sauce and cheese makes it sing! We chose a side of spinach, served with garlic that deserved 5 stars on it’s own. We’re going back tomorrow for the grilled octopus. This never happens but I’m confident after one visit to give a 5 star rating. Bread for the table comes with spiced olive oil and a jar of red peppers, not just any bread but home baked perfection. I’m so over Montegue Ave for Italian food

My friend and I shared a 20in prosciutto...it was amazing! It was fresh and baked very well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all pizza lovers 🤗

Best restaurant I have been to in NY!! Nothing more to say Pizza was amazing, good service and affordable prices! Couldn’t ask for any better

We came for the pizza on a recommendation from friends! Fresh ingredients - mozzarel & basil, woo-hoo! A recipe for greatness! I also had the pear salad which was excellent, as well. A very personable and friendly waiter by the name of Danny, served us. Will be coming back here again!

Ordered via Grubhub to Marriott room for delivery. I included all of the necessary information to deliver to my room. Despite leaving a 20% advanced tip, delivery guy refused delivery to room. This was obnoxious because there was absolutely nothing or nobody preventing him from such a delivery. However, the margherita pizza was AMAZING. A real coal-fired treat. Worth the cost. If ordering delivery, specify that you want utensils and/or plates. No option on grubhub for diet soda, though ordering a regular soda and making a note got me a $3 8 oz bottle of soda. Geez.

Staff was nice but very busy on a Sunday evening. Domestic beer was only $5. The changing menu puts interesting twists on basics like salad and pizza. Food arrived hot and fast and was very good. Decor was cozy and nice in a Restoration Hardware kind of way. Recommend you try it if you are in the area.

As a 52 year old Sicilian from New York all I can say is incredible. Atmosphere incredible. Food out of this world and Kelsey our server phenomenonal. Thank you for a fantastic pre show dinner Can't wait to be back

Went with family and friends for a last meal in Brooklyn before heading upstate. Good choice, service and made even better by catching up with our favourite waitress Rose, whom we have known for years when visiting from the UK.

This restaurant was suggested by my brother and sister-in-law while we were in NY in December. The service was great and it was a cute place...very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. My son, who has done pizza tours in NY agreed that this was the best pizza we've had in NY so far. Will go back on our next trip East.

After a busy day in Manhattan, we opted for a quick subway ride to Brooklyn Heights for some peace and an authentic, non touristy meal. About a 10-15 minute walk from Clark Street Station, we found both at Table 87. Upon entering, we were greeted enthusiastically and taken to the back room, past the ovens and the kitchen. Our waiter had a quick sense of humor, and was playful with our two children. Being mid-westerners, we weren't familiar with some of the toppings offered, but the waiter described them with great enthusiasm. Table 87 has a nice selection of beer and wines, as well as some uncommon sodas, which our kids loved. The pizza was...what can I say...fantastic! Being next to the kitchen, we were able to watch the pizzas being made. The best part was watching a similar family at the next table nearly drooling as we were served. We'd recommend Table 87 to anyone, and will not hesitate to return.

We visited table 87 on 3rd Ave near 10th street in Brooklyn. Our dining experience was wonderful. Try the grilled octopus if it's on the menu as an appetizer. House wine was delicious !!! We ll be back again and again

Mail order pizza stinks Dry and unappealing Very expensive dry crust I had Doctor them up and then it fell apart Disappointing

Popped into this cozy little pizza place during a Brooklyn Food Tour and will definitely be going back! Pizza was ridiculously good, enjoyed a glass of Chianti with it, and the service was 👌. I felt like they were truly thankful for our patronage.

This is the only place you should have pizza in Brooklyn Heights. It is a bit pricey but so worth every bite. The staff is also so kind, it just makes everything even that much better.

Hidden away in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn, this quintessential NY pizzeria serves up Delicious Coal-Fired New York Style Pizza. A quick stop on a 4hr culinary tour, my wife a I made the most of it -- a Margherita pizza with roasted garlic and red peppers accompanied by white wine and a stout. Check it out. Highly recommended.

Wonderful pizza as close to Italy as you can get without a passport. Tom Cucco is very willing to share his story and love of pizza. The restaurant is made with lots of reclaimed material include the ceiling from an old barn. The wall are decorated with antique oven door and tools of the kithchen. Excellent pizza

We caught a cab from Manhattan about $20, to have a meal before the Nets game at Barcley Stadium about 20 min walk in same street. The pizzas and pasta were great along with the staff who entertained our kids, such a welcome reprieve from the hustle of Eataly earlier in the day. Small family run atmosphere would go again when next needing a great pizza or pasta.

They have one of the best coal even thin slice pizzas in town. It sins greasy at all and tastes very good. I love their pizzas and I will definitely visit again.

It is a crowded marketplace for brick oven pizza places. But this is one of the better ones in NYC. You avoid the ridiculous and unrewarding lines of Patsy's in Dumbo (or whatever they call it these days). It is close to the southern entrance of Brooklyn Bridge Park (sitting near the corner of Atlantic and Hicks). They serve wine and beer and have table waiter service in the back. You can also get a decent plate of pasta and they have good vegetables like broccoli rabe, etc. They also were on ABC's Shark Tank at one point. It always all about the food and this place makes a really nice pizza. Even sell a slice. Perfect place to grab a bite if you're navigating Brownstone Brooklyn or heading to the City's latest gem of a park.

We stopped here one day at lunch for a couple of slices. I thought the pizza was really great the crust was thin and crisp; sauce was flavorful and the cheese seemed to be top quality. I look forward to my next visit.

The pizza is extremely good. Great homemade flavor, not plastic cheese. But they also have other good things. The salad is yummy too and they have great cappuccinos. The price was good and so was the service. Small space so if you have a large group you may want to call first.

Coal fired pizza - yummy This is a GREAT neighborhood type restaurant. Outstanding, attentive, "make you feel at home", table service. A simple menu with staple dishes; I would like to try all in future visits. It is located in a great part of Brooklyn.

I ve eaten pizza all over the world. But i will remember this one for a long time. The waitress is really pleasant, charming and welcoming. The perfection.

Stopped by Table 87 for the first time of the weekend and tried the Margherita pizza. Absolutely delicious coal oven pizza. They use slices of mozzarella versus the shredded. Makes for a much better tasting pie. Just the right amount of sauce and basil. Olive oil sprinkled around edge of crust adds a lot to the flavor. Staff seemed to enjoy engaging with the customers. Nice drink selection at the bar. Would highly recommend this pizza place to anyone who enjoys thin crust New York pizza.

Stopped in here after walking along the water and had a slice. Really good crust here - crispy outside and soft inside despite being so thin! We will be returning. There is very little seating but a few stools by the window.

Really well made pizza, haven't tried the frozen one they sell in stores yet but i've seen it and even that looks great !!!

The specialty pizza here is great. I tried two of them and they were both superb. Both of my friends agreed that the pizza was great that were with me. It is in a great location if you want to go to the park a few blocks down. Instagram: @tommiesox

We tried three different pizzas - the Margareta, sausage, and prosciutto. All were very good. Different than what we are used to (we are from St. Louis). Best right out of the oven. Give it a try.

We’ve been to Gowano’s location a few times, and this is our first time dining there. For whatever reason, the food was always fabulous here, especially their pizza! We were thinking about Julianna’s, but Juliana’s busy, so we ended up here, which would be a better deal and less headache due to the long line. The restaurant is spacious inside, and they have two sections that few people know are big. So, for those pizza lovers out there, why settle for the crowded touristy place while you can get the best local Brooklyn pizza? Our group had the big margarita pizza, watermelon salad, and hot antipasto! Everything’s delicious, especially the pizza! Thanks again!

This was a great find as we had landed in Brooklyn for the day from the Queen Mary 2 and were looking for a light lunch whilst having a wander round this part of Brooklyn. Pizza itself was very tasty and the base was light and not stodgy. Service was attentive and lots of nice extra toppings on offer such as roasted garlic and chillies. I never normally finish a pizza but hubby was disappointed as unusually I ate the whole pizza.

Great skinny pizza, loads of choice, great service. They also laid on special chilli oils and roasted garlic. Beware, the 20” pizzas are big! Can definitely recommend.

They give you a jar of jalapeños and one of smoked garlic so you can leave hot and stinking from every pore. Nice atmosphere, great pizzas, some starters not so good but overall if you want a good pizza this is as good as it gets. Plus you don't get charged for the jalapeños and the garlic. Wine, as usual in NYC restaurants, expensive so stick to beer.

I placed an online order through the website for 4 Margherita Pizzas. Delivery promised in 2-3 days from Brooklyn NY shipping 20 Apr 2020. Pizza arrived at destination on 24 Apr mid-morning in Highstown NJ. Table 87 delivered the pizza at room temperature with NO dry ice. I contacted Table 87 and spoke with Anthony requesting a refund. He told me that they have had problems with Fed Ex making on-time delivery. I received an e-mail from Robert C that stated in part: "Unfortunately, we are living through unprecedented times, and some things are simply out of our control. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience with your order" and "We are shipping a perishable, frozen product. You chose our standard shipping option, which is 2-3 business days. Since this package was shipping to NJ, we approximated one business day from the time of fulfillment. Each order is packed with enough dry ice to last up 48 hours in transit." Also, "It is our utmost priority to be sure the customer is completely satisfied." They did not pack sufficient dry ice knowing there were delays, only planning for the best case (1 day). Table 87 should have had the foresight to anticipate the unforeseen while recognizing the Fed Ex issue they stated they had and that the frozen pizza unit seemed to already understand. My request for a refund is pending with no further comments from Table 87 Coal Fired Pizza.

I don't know if it's the coal or the crust ingredients but it's worth the dine in or takeout pie. My favorite is arugula and prosciutto.

My children and I arrived in Brooklyn on a Saturday afternoon and to kill time walked along Atlantic just biding time. We weren't starving but happened to come upon Table 87 and it drew us in. Family owned and operated, this place is exactly what I think of when I recall my youth of eating real NY pizza. The atmosphere fits too! Can't wait to go back... Although my children don't even want to eat anywhere else now!

This is the original location, we’ve been to both in Brooklyn, and both are amazing! If you love great pizza, this place is a must, but you’ll also die for the calamari with cherry peppers. The peppers are fried in with the calamari - which is so fresh, tender, and mouth watering let delicious - every bite is lightly infused with, well, “bite” so that even if you don’t eat a pepper you get the perfect hint of its flavor in each forkful. This place is a must for all thin crust pizza lovers. It quickly became a family favorite, and in Brooklyn, with no shortage of good pizza options, that speaks volumes.

Table 87 has the best pizza I've ever tasted. I love thin crust pizza and this was the perfect crispy charcoaly crust topped with just the right amount of fresh tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. We added the house made sausage and onions and it was so delicious! The Table 87 salad was also delicious, light and fresh. This is a small restaurant with only a handful of tables but that is what makes this place so quaint and cozy. The staff is extremely friendly and they make you feel like family. Don't forget to try the roasted garlic! Spread some on your pizza crust and enjoy. Perfect dining experience for foodies and pizza lovers.

We tried two pizza places in New York, and Table 87 was the winner. Very good base and toppings, with some great extras (whole roasted garlic, and a good chili sauce).

Table 87 is our go-to for pizza in a neighborhood with endless pizza options (and we've had most of them)! It's great, high quality, brick oven pizza. The real treat are the peppers and garlic that come on the side.

The pizza, pizza slices are marvelous. I love that thinner dough baked in that oven, and the tomato sauce...wow! And the sausage the treat with love...wow! Was visiting them a couple of times and we was so happy to have found them. Go there!

This cozy and cute restaurant on the edge of Brooklyn Heights is definitely worth a visit! I had a pizza with speck, figs, and arugula! It was delicious with a perfect amount of char on the bottom and a great crust. My girlfriend had linguini with white clam sauce. We shared a starter of maybe the best and most tender fried calamari I have had ever. The staff was great and friendly, they cared about you enjoying the dining experience. Will 100% go back in the future.

I recently enjoyed two coal oven slices at table 87 and they were very good. The sauce was especially delicious and well made. I do have to say that the employees were smiling and very good, even though it was busy.

Great slice of pizza, great staff, so welcoming of our 5 person cycle round Brooklyn group -thank you

We found Table 87 as we were walking through Brooklyn doing some shopping and sight seeing. We stopped in for a late lunch and really enjoyed the the thin crust pizza, along with salads. The cheese pizza was baked just right with a nice amount of cheese. And the sausage on a second pizza was very flavorful and well seasoned without being too spicy.

This place is busy just about all the time. As long as you have pizzas and they serve the 12” and 20” sizes, you have them within a very short time. Other dishes can take quite a bit longer at a busy time! They also sell their pizzas in slices and deliver free of charge in the neighbourhood. We were lucky to get a table inside with our grandkids and another time I went and picked up a couple of dishes, to eat at home. Service fast efficient and friendly.

A delicious Pizza, reasonable price, well welcome by the waiters, good location easy to find. recommended

We stopped in for a couple slices which were good. The service in the restaurant was not professional. There were enough people working, but not quality service. The pizza is good - with fresh ingredients, but nowhere near the best pizza we've had.

Very big and very tasty. Great size for 2 people, too big for 1. Crust got a bit tasteless after a while hence why i cant give 5 stars.

I absolutely loved this place! The ingredients are fresh. The pizza was perfectly prepared! The service was impeccable! And the taste was amazing! The only regret about this pizza is that I can't get it fresh in San Antonio. However you can get it shipped to you frozen. If you are in Brooklyn you must stop by... It even beats Grimaldi's

Great pizza, with creative toppings prepared in a coal oven, a wonder for the eyes and a delicacy for the mouth. Stick with the basic margarita (cuz you gotta try it) and try going even further with the daily special.

Stop in for a slice of pizza tovtake awy, but as it was raining, we stayed and ate the pizza inside. I love the size of the pizza slice, the extremely thin dough and fresh basal leaves on top. We definitely recommend for visit for a tasty bite!

Had dinner here with my little daughter after a visit to Brooklyn Bridge Park. We chanced upon it on our way home from the park. It is a very small dining space in the back. Cozy. My daughter had the margarita pizza which was very good. Thin crust with fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce. Fresh and delicious. I had a penne with tomato sauce, argula and baby shrimp. Very good, filling and tasty. Service was just okay. We went back a couple of nights later for takeout. I had the sausage and red pepper pizza and slices of the veggie pizza for hubby. The veggie pizza in particular was awesome. Brocolli, purple cauliflower, roasted peppers, not a lot of tomato sauce just loaded with lots of fresh veg. Highly recommend that one and the sausage pizza was good too. This is a really good go to pizza joint in this neighborhood. I would definitely return.

I had tried for a long time to find a place in New York City with quality thin crust. This is the place, over the bridge in Brooklyn. Friendly environment, fresh ingredients. A must for any pizza or italian food lover.

Not sure you can do any better than this slice of Italian heaven in Brooklyn! Hot from a coal fire oven/ pepperoni and the best sausage- top it off with some hot peppers made in store and you can’t stop with 1 slice. Perfect bite stop while exploring across the east river. Thanks to Jim our cycling guide for taking us there. Fabulous!

Pizza was amazing! I highly recommend this place. The pizza crust was done just right and the sauce was delicious . Great place for lunch and or dinner.

My son and I ate at one of the outdoor tables. It was really enjoyable to sit and people-watch. The grilled watermelon appetizer was DELICIOUS. We also ordered a pizza, which was good. I would certainly visit again when we're in the area.

Do not buy, total waste of money at $12 per pizza!!! Order from Dominoes instead! Bland, bland, bland! Shark Tank was obviously blind promoting this tasteless, cardboard pizza! Beyond disappointed! Their truffle mushroom pizza has zero truffle flavor!

Sit at the bar and chat with the friendly bartenders, or in the dining room with a fireplace and a (real) Banksy. The margarita slice is to die for, and add some roasted garlic and Calabrian peppers to taste (condiments brought to you with your slice). Best beet salad I've had in years. My favorite Brooklyn restaurant now.

I saw this on shark tank. This is the most strip Down Pizza you could ever get.I would highly not recommend ordering them their overpriced you would have to eat three pizzas to fill one person. There is nothing on them. You have been warned.

Really delicious pizza!!! All ingredients tasted fresh. Good service. Nice environment also. Recommended place to go with friends, family or business.

Love the burrata pizza and chicken pesto panini - right now, I would unabashedly say that is my favorite meal in Brooklyn. Table 87 is definitely not cheap - but I have never not had a great meal here. Even when I get take out, I am always pleased. My grandmother loves the lasagna and has raved about that. I would preference this place over some of the fancier fad pizza joints like Emily.

We had the 20' prosciutto arugula, and it was simply GREAT. Big slices that pair with a red wine perfectly. The tomato sauce is simply incredible. We will go back for a calzone for sure!

We visited as part of a food tour so just had a slice each from a large margarita pizza.it was great and would definitely recommend visiting for lunch or dinner

I am a bit of a pizza snob, so I will preface this review with this first. I saw some frozen slices at a Whole Foods and heard about the place so decided to stop in and give it an unbiased opinion Quick notes: -coal pizza is supposed to come out nice an crispy. Should be charred a bit on the outside but nice and moist on the inside because it is designed to be cooked under 4 minutes. My pie came out a bit on the flimsy side. Got too much “bend” on my slices, and not enough crisp -the sauce was a bit too sweet. It felt clear that a bit of sugar was added to the sauce -want blown away by the pizza. Wasn’t at the caliber of Roberta’s, lavante, or johns pizza on bleeker.

In fact my wife and I went to this and John's on Bleecker hours apart and something about the quality of ingredients puts Table 87 over the top for the best slice of a foldable NYC pizza. Great venue, wonderful staff, and a bar inside as well.

We visited this pizza place on a Viator tour of Brooklyn Heritage and Food tour. This pizza was fantastic! I know everyone thinks their pizza is the best in NYC, but honestly this pizza was as good as any I have tasted! We had the Margareta Pizza and it was perfect. Everything was so fresh and flavorful- the way you want your New York pizza to be!

Good fresh pizza, must be eaten hot. Friendly staff, small space pick up and take out or order ahead.

Took a tour that stopped at Table 87 for lunch and the pizza is the best that I have had in NYC. It is a small establishment and a little out of the way, but well worth the effort to go there and give them a try.

This small restaurant is near the foot of Atlantic Avenue by the East River, in Brooklyn. There are hundreds of restaurants and joints selling pizza in Brooklyn, but this one is apparently the first or only restaurant to have a coal-fired oven which apparently cooks fast and crisp. It must make a difference since the pizza was excellent. The New Yorkers I was with all agreed that it was exceptional. In fact, after a few rounds of pool at Montero's bar and grill down the block, we went back for more. Their homemade wine, although sweet, is worth a try.

Pizza was amazing , and so was the wine, desert is a must have, staff is very friendly, and courteous.

Told that pizza at Table 87 Coal Oven Pizza's Gowanus Brooklyn NY location (473 3rd Avenue) would be the best, the restaurant did not disappoint. Our dining group of four chose a 20-inch, coal oven-baked pizza with toppings of roasted peppers and slightly-spicy house-made sausage (thinly sliced). The thin crust was baked till firm and crisp. The other offerings we dined on at Table 87—among them Tommy's Famous Meatballs Calzone, which was served with a house-made marinara sauce (a blend of skinless San Marzano tomatoes, double pinches of garlic powder and oregano, salt and pepper), lentil soup and chicken parmigiana—were also 5-star tasty. I would be stunned if any patron of Table 87 expressed disappointment in the quality and taste of the items—salads to paninis to sandwiches to pastas—on this restaurant's Italian food-themed menu. I'm not the first—nor will I be the last—to rate Table 87 a solid 10.

Felt like a great little family establishment with a counter for slices out front and a restaurant abutting the kitchen in back. Surprisingly, I didn't actually care much for it's trademark coal-oven-baked crust (a bit too crispy for my pizza tastes and not foldable!), but the ingredients used were tasty and fresh and the staff was very nice. I imagine the pasta dishes they offer for dinner would be great too!

We ate at the 3rd Street location and I thought the food was just average - nothing special. Maybe the main location is better but I don't think I'd give it another try. It's differently ranked too high - it doesn't have a lot of reviews so maybe it's new.

If you want authentic Brooklyn pizza, this is the place. If you go for dinner, everything on the menu is great, not just the pizza. It looks like a dive but the food is top notch.

Great sampling of pizza. Would have been fun to have a full meal. Outside tables are nice if the weather is good. Inside would be better when not crowded.

We stumbled upon this place and are so happy we did. We eat pizza a lot and appreciate a good quality brick oven pizza Table 87 definitely delivered! The pizza is thin crust coal fired in a brick oven. They offer many different toppings along with a daily special pizza. In addition to the pizza thery offer a great menu of salads, pasta and dessert. We started off with the grilled watermelon and feta salad--- it was simple yet amazing . we also shared the fried calamari which had a great kick to it. The rice balls and potato croquettes were just ok but i dont think i would order them again. the burrata caprese was creamy and delicious. The meat and cheese board was also very good and offered a nice selection of both. Although they offer sandwiches, panini, pasta, meats and fish we opted for just pizza and calzones...there are many calzones offering but we went with the 4 cheese calzone and it was great. amazingly light- yet crusty and delicious. We enjoyed the mushroom truffle pizza, it was wonderful. the crust is thin, crispy and really nicely salted the dough has a nice flavor that compliments the sauce and toppings on the pizzas the sauce was very good. You could tell is was fresh we also had the burratta margarita. there was not a slice left to be had! They offer a beer and wine and place on your table jars of roasted garlic and hot peppers if you wish to enhance your pizza. Dessert is offered and we did have a nutella pie (we were 6 people) it too was delicious.. The service was very good on this night, although sometimes it is spotty but always pleasant. the restaurant is small and does fill up but offers outside seating- along the sidewalk. The front of the restaurant does offer slices You will not de disappointed here- ever. We have been back several times since our initial visit and the pizza is consistently delicious and quality made with fresh ingredients. The restaurant is great for families, is child friendly or perfect for couples. Its a great find!

Great pizza. Opted to go here for my New York pizza and it was a great slice. They have garlic and peppers to put on the pizza, too. I was quite satisfied and pleased with the pizza - I’m by no means a pizza connoisseur, but I have no quibbles, just praise for the pizza I ate.

Came here on a Brooklyn Food and Culture tour. We got the 20" Coal Oven Margherita Pizza. The pizza had good taste but the amount of cheese was meager. It really needed a lot more on it. Sauce was good. The roasted garlic they had as a condiment was good but the pepper condiment was too hot for a pizza in my opinion. We sat at the small bar and the bartender was really promoting their frozen pizza's after appearing and getting a deal on the show Shark Tank. I personally would not purchase the frozen pie based on what I had at the restaurant. For the price, I want something that fills me up. It was fun watching Marco toss the dough into the air. He's excellent at it! More cheese please, Marco!!!!

I live in the neighborhood and frequently order in from table 87. Although their menu is limited the dishes are very, very good. I love their eggplant and their broccoli rabe. Ask for Rose she is the best!!!!

We were welcomed with warmth and humour, from ours hosts Rosie and the dapper and funny Danny. We had a family of 5 and we all experienced both excellent front of house and back of house. Food came out quick with quality. The pizza was great, the Gnocchi with beef Raghu was sublime. The coffee was alright but the deserts were amazing, key lime pie and don't forget the cannoli were standouts. Aussies from Melbourne would love this place!! Big thumbs up!! Thanks Rosie and Danny!!

Recently ordered Table 87 Pizza while staying at a hotel in Brooklyn. The Margarita Pizza was amazing! Delicious thin, coal fired crust and large slices. We also orders calzone and sandwiches, which were just "okay." I would definitely recommend their pizza and will order from on my next trip to Brooklyn.

My friends and I stumbled into this place by chance last Saturday night (we were in the area and looked up pizza places on a phone), and oh man did we find a gem. The food was fantastic (two thumbs up to Tommy's Meatball Roll), but even better was that the service was unreal. The young woman taking care of us treated us like family, chatted with us, gave us sides to enhance the flavor of the dishes... best service I've had at a restaurant in forever. To top it off, the dessert pizza was equally fantastic (crispy slice covered in Nutella, marshmellows, and fresh cut strawberries). Go eat here and give these people business, I would go back in a heartbeat if I lived in the area!

We found this Place thanks to TripAdvisor visiting NYC and wanting to spend a day in Brooklyn - the Pizza slice(s) were the best!! Great value for money - we also enjoyed a Peroni Beer. Staff was super friendly and the Walk there through Brooklyn was awesome and refreshing from the City! Definitely Worth the trip, thank you!

My granddaughter made her First Communion on May 14,2016. Her parents had her Party at this restaurant. We had a wonderful time, The food is outstanding, served family style and more than enough for this hungry crowd. One dish was better than the next. We had baked clams, calamari, pasta, potato croquetts, chicken Parm, chicken francese, pizza, wine. beer and soda and bread and more.

Loved loved loved the pizza at Table 87 which I visited with a group as part of a foodies tour of Brooklyn. I plan to return.

On a recent visit to NYC, our Airbnb hosts recommended Table 87 for its fabulous pizza and we were not disappointed. The place was busy on the Wednesday night we arrived, but the hostess was very helpful and encouraged us to eat at the bar if we wanted. She moved us to a table first chance she got. (We discovered that Wednesday was popular because they have a family movie night outside the restaurant, showing a movie against the railway bridge wall across the street from their patio. How cool is that?) We each started with salads which were so fresh and delicious. I had the mixed greens topped with roasted veggies. Yum! Can't remember what type of dressing it was but it was amazing. We ordered two 12" pizzas between the three of us, because we couldn't decide. The margherita pizza was wonderful, but the fig, speck and arugula pizza blew us away. We only had one slice of each (they're substantial) so we took a whole pizza home with us - perfect for lunch the next day. The day we were leaving Brooklyn, we ordered a 20" fig, speck and arugula pizza for the ride home to Canada. :)

Friendly staff. The pizza was delicious. If you want to eat homemade stuff exclusively, stay away from pasta, the restaurant don't make their own. The roasted garlic they give on the side is to die for, you can purchase a small cup of it for $3.

The place itself is adorable.. It gives the feel of an old time italian grocery store.. The menu has some pastas, salads, calzones and pizza. The pizza is made in a coal oven which gives it a taste that is unique. I love coal oven pie! I will say that take-out of this kind of pizza is not recommended. The pie gets cold fast and loses its pizzaz... Eat in is best. And it's really a good crust, delicious flavorful sauce and a nice tasting mozz..

I love this place so much. I've been going here for about 6 months and every time I visit I love it a bit more. Table 87 is a family-run Italian eatery, most known for the pizza. The owner was actually on Shark Tank for his frozen individual slices. (he got a deal ;-) ) While it is very local and not really in an area for tourists, I do see a lot of out-of-towners come in because of the Shark Tank episode. The food sets many bars, but the pizza. coupled with the service is truly amazing and warrants a visit. When you walk in, you are greeted, and one of the first things you will notice are the pizza makers tending to the coal oven, making ready-to-serve pizza every minute - so much fun! Truly a great find if you are in the area, and if not, come on down to Park Slope!

Went here on a good tour. The pizza was excellent. The kind you gold over and eat. The place was nice and service was good. I would go back for a full meal.

Best pizza, we always return here when in Brooklyn. Tasty, fresh and really friendly staff. Inside Industry City. See you next time! x

Pizza was pretty good, service was not. Had to ask twice for bread, then had to ask if they served olive oil to go with it. Just not friendly service. Snobby might pay the bills in NY, but you'd better stay here! I'll try something else the next time I'm in Brooklyn. Note: I'm a huge tipper for good service, especially on a small check 😉

I'm not necessarily a connoisseur of pizzas, or pies, if you prefer, but I know when I like what I'm eating. I prefer a thin crust, coal oven pizza and Table 87s have delicious sauces, cheeses and crusts. I infrequently eat the crusts from my pizza slices, but in this case I do. And the salads are lovely as well. I did not visit the restaurant, but ordered delivery. Enjoy!

I travelled to this restaurant via the NY subway one night based on a quick web search of coal oven pizza. There are other coal oven pizza establishments in NY, many having been there for decades. This is the only one sold by the slice, so you can sample more than one topping if you wish. I was travelling solo and couldn't eat a whole pizza anyway. I ate at a counter and stool in the front are as the rain poured down outside, very cosy. There is also a restaurant around the back. My order consisted of a prosciutto di Parma slice, square seasonal vegetable slice and a Boylan's root beer. The Parma ham was amazing and the vegetables were a treat, the purple cauliflower especially. I sat there watching the pizzas being made by hand from scratch and cooked, surrounded by jars and packets of fine food produce ready to be purchase. Condiments were provided with the pizza.

The pizza was amazing, the waiter was great, the restaurant and bathroom was clean!!! Would definitely recommend eating here!!!

We had a large Margherita pizza to share. The tomato sauce was particularly good. Mozzarella cheese was probably on the short side. A good place for a tranquil dinner.

Just great. Full Stop. Family run business, extremely tastyyy !! Not had a pizza as nice as the one I had at Table 87 Coal Oven Pizza. $12 to satisfy your tastebuds. It'll definitely make you come again .. with friends and family. If you sit at the counter, you will find 2 homemade jars. 1) pickled chillies in chilli oil 2) caramelized garlic and onions - you wont stop eating it

Fantastic pizza, great value and friendly service. Didn't take us long to pop over to Brooklyn Heights from Manhatton and we're really glad we did. The quality of the pizza was top notch. It's also close to a nice walk with a great view of the NY skyline. Will definitely return when next in NY. Highly recommend.

The service is terrible. The food is good, but definitely not so good to overcome an over 1 hour wait for take out which was placed 30 mins before we got there to pick up our pie and hot antipasto. And we were told on the phone it would be ready in 30 mins from the time of our call for pick up. When we got there, we were told that they might have forgotten our order "b/c it happens here occasionally." So we were gracious and got a beer at the bar. We were asked to pay for our order and our beers at the same time. If we hadn't already paid, we would have angrily walked out after 30 mins when we were told about our order, "I don't know if they started it yet." By the time our order was ready, we were starved, frustrated, and shocked at how bad the customer service was. I have a hard time endorsing establishments that make you feel like they are doing you a favor by selling food to you, especially when restaurants are in the "hospitality industry."

We ate pizza and pasta... both were very very delicios, tasty and totally fresh. The staff helpful and very friendly. Prices fair. We definitely come back.

Table 87's pizza is some of the best in the city but what really stands out for me are their fresh-made calzones. Not the waiting-to be-heated kind made in advance that you're used to at most places, but hand-made-to-order ingredients like grilled chicken, prosciutto, broccoli rabe or arugula pesto, that's prepped, cooked and stuffed into a slab of dough, then popped in the coal-fired oven to finish. Made-to-order may take a few extra minutes, but it's guaranteed worth the wait.

Turning a corner I promised the kids that we would eat at the first decent place we would see; thank goodness it was Table 87! I figured that with a name like that, someone in there had some savvy. We were greeted like we were regulars – with a familiarity that was pleasing rather than forward and seated right away. There was a birthday party for a 4 year-old going on, so it was that kind of loud (parents obviously chose the restaurant for themselves – and who could fault them?) but we were glad to be off the hot street and resting our hot feet. Wine for Mom and Dad, drinks for the teens and a menu that had us trying to make up our minds which of the many delicious-sounding dishes we would miss the most for not having chosen them and the verdict was... pizza. Our daughter ordered a plate of spaghetti that she insisted we all try because it was "better than you could possibly imagine". We thoroughly enjoyed our Margherita pie. Okay, not adventurous fare but that we'll order next time we're in Brooklyn – because we are definitely going back to Table 87.

The pizza was great it's the freshest your going to find in this area I've been here 100 times and I'm going again for lunch to day and you can't complain about the service they are always nice and friendly

Had a large piece of the Margherita, crust was good, pizza sauce was a little sweet, the mozzarella cheese lacked flavor. Wasn’t bad but we have had better.

I have been to this location and the other location of Table 87 several times. It is one of my all time favorites. I love the pizza as well as the roasted garlic topping. I have not found pizza like this anywhere else (and I eat a lot of pizza!).

So I caught Table 87 on shark tank and had to see if its the real deal, I have to say I was blown away! The Service is excellent and the food is top of line. I loved the Burrata pie and Baked clams!

Table 87 is by far the best Pizza in NYC. Everything is fresh !! High quality cheese and sauce, better than grandma . Mouthwatering garlic and fire roasted peppers are a treat decadent combinations of mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and pancetta, are just delicious. The sweetness of the pizza is outstanding. Go see Tim McDonald on 87 Atlantic ave. Then walk off dinner at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. You will fall in Love all over a again. Bring a camera !!!!

We we in town for a family wedding. They were able to accommodate a large group because it was a holiday. The pizza was the best pizza I have ever had.

If a thin, tangy, perfectly charred crust is your idea of a great pizza, you don't have to travel to New Haven, CT to enjoy a slice of heaven. Table87 makes the real deal. The ingredients are fresh and sauce is flavorful. The setting is low-key key trattoria and the service is prompt and friendly.

Literally the best pizza ever had. Beautiful crust tasty toppings and plenty of side add ons to make it special to you. Great selection of tap beers to make the meal complete. Must visit

Visited this restaurant on a foodie tour of Brooklyn. I will be back. Only sampled the margarita. Pros: fresh ingredients, San marzino tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, thin crust ,fresh basil- basic perfection. Con: single rest room.

The girl at the register handling money and pizza with out any gloves. Thank God that oven is killing the germs on my pizza. They should make there workers wear gloves or the health department should check on them.

good service but one of the workers is a tiny bit weird but other wise i love the food and you should try it if u love thin pizza

Dined with a someone who has been here many times, first time for me. Restaurant is very small, but everything was very fresh and a varied menu. We ordered some appetizers and one of the pizza on special. The server was knowledgeable, friendly and made selection easier. Will definitely be going back for a main course dish.

A little gem on Atlantic near BB park. The pizza is our favorite anywhere, but don't forget the dishes. The salads are fresh and inventive, and the mains are just wonderful. A limited, changing menu keeps the kitchen focussed and consistent. Great for families early, couples later. A real neighborhood asset.

In a borough, within a city, known for their pizza... it's difficult to find a newer pizza restaurant that shines! Table 87 does just that. Wonderful selection of coal oven baked pies... Thin, flakey, delicious crust. Fresh ingredients. Scrumptious calzones. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The menu is expansive. I can't wait to go back to sample the fig, speck and arugula pie!

We were looking for a place for everyone to get together and eat together. We considered everything from going to ritzier and ridiculous frilly hotels and high price restaurants throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. Instead, we went to Table 87 on the recommendation of a friend. We were seated in the thick of the dining room at a big table, where the hair-slicked-back gentleman seated us. The atmosphere was contagious, everyone was there to have a good time. We were seated also right next to the kitchen so we were able to see everything from fresh pizza dough throwing to other dishes being made. But now for the best part, the pizza here is better than any other place in Brooklyn. I guarantee you, that with other competing pizza locations in the area like Luzzo's and otherwise, you must try Table 87 for their breakfast pizza, their margherita, and otherwise. My family had a new place we would visit everytime they were in town (because it was so good, and they were so accommodating), and the bill wasn't ridiculous. It was a little expensive, but it's a no-frills great Italian joint that has been here in New York for a long time. Bring your family and friends, you won't be disappointed.

This is our second time here! The atmosphere, people and food are all amazing!!! The Tommy's meatball calzone is my favorite! Everyone here makes you feel welcomed. Definitely one of my top favorite restaurants in Brooklyn!

We visited the new branch on 10th St. and 3rd Ave for lunch and two people shared a great artisanal pizza. Lovely rustic room with fireplace and open kitchen. Great beers on tap and a very large menu of other non-pizza items. Good service and reasonably priced. A great addition to the emerging Gowanus foodie area.

Great food, great service. Very pleasant experience. Fried calamari were excellent and thin crust pizza special with buratta cheese and basil was delish. I would definitely return.

We were looking for coal fired pizza and came upon this place in our walkabout through Brooklyn. Stunning Pizza so perfectly balanced. Prosciutto arugula and beautiful subtle marinara. And.... you can have it shipped to you!

The staff are always super friendly and fun. The food is amazing! Obviously the pizza is the greatest but I also highly, highly recommend the basil pesto pasta - it is so delicious! The atmosphere is always lovely, great place for a date or a catch up with friends. They also do take away which is so very convenient and always tempting. In the summer the do movie nights outside with a projector onto the subway bridge. Always the classics and always a blast!

Very kind personnel! And the pizzas were really good! Small place only room for about 20 people but definitely wort a visit!

One of the best margarita Pizza I ever had. period. We was in a food tour around brooklyn and visited this gem. They do a simple things and they do it well. To people who watch shark tank, surprise, the owner appear in an episode and got an investment from the sharks. You just can't resist such Pizza even if you are a shark 😉

We ate in this small neighborhood (Gowanus) restaurant four times in 1-1/2 weeks, and the food and service were excellent every time! The pizza, pasta dishes, salads, and sandwiches were all wonderful! The pizza is so good that Table 87 is included in Brooklyn pizza tours! We had the 20-inch Margherita pie (which was well worth $25), because its ingredients were so fresh! With it, we had a very good apple almond salad ($11) and an excellent order of broccoli rabe (also $11). On the next visit, we decided to (reluctantly) forego the pizza, and got a wonderful order of basil pesto on angel hair pasta ($14) and a terrific vegetable lasagna ($16). The sauces were magnificent and the portions huge! We also tried a different salad, which was also $11 (a baby green one with beets, caramelized walnuts, garlic croutons, and goat cheese—instead of gorgonzola—which was gladly substituted). The next time, I had an eggplant, goat cheese, and tomato sandwich on toasted ciabatta bread. It was quite good, too. And the homemade french fries were tremendous! All for $10. The last meal at Table 87 was perhaps the best! We had a great penne vodka dish ($15) and orecchiette pasta with broccoli rabe ($18). Both were incredible! And if the food wasn't enough, Table 87 also shows films on an opposite building every Wednesday in the summer (Jurassic Park this week) for those at the outdoor tables, and has a doggie drinking fountain outside.

My two friends and I wanted pizza, and noticed this restaurant had good reviews. We were walked past a small friendly bar area back to the dining area which had a quaint, quirky, and urban feel to it. The waiter offered the specials (they serve more than pizza) and we decided on one of the special pizzas and a mushroom and truffle oil pizza (2 12" pizzas were perfect for 3 people). We also had the grilled watermelon and fennel salad. The pizzas were served with their own house made pepperoncini and grilled garlic cloves. Who would have known that a simple outing for pizza would have lit up our palates the way this place did. The waiter was also a wealth of helpful advice about suggestions and was able to tell us about the details of some of the ingredients (not in a pushy way, but because we asked). They also had a nice selection of beers and wines. Can't wait to return to Brooklyn to hit this place again.

Stopped in on a Thursday evening about 7 pm and got the last open table. The waiter was great, had me try a couple meats and cheeses that I didn't know from the specials. I ended up with a Table 87 Salad and the Margerhita Pizza with a specialty mozzarella and a thinly sliced meat. It was excellent.

As a pizza lover and a bit of traditionalist I went for the margarita. Beautiful fresh San Marzano tomatoes, creamy sweet mozzarella cheese on top of a perfectly cooked thin crusty pizza base. Then wait for it... fresh basil to top it off. Absolutely nailed it. Apparently it's NYC famous tap water in the dough that makes all the difference? Don't care, just keep doing it.

Excellent real Italian restaurant. We have been there 3 times during our stay in New York, and it has always been delicious.

I ordered this on line and may be the WORST pizza ever! May be great on site but absolutely horrible when shipped.

If in Brooklyn..make sure to stop by for a treat. Do not mind the crowds it's worth the wait....... Their pizzas are just wonderful but they also offer great Italian dishes on their menu. You will not be disappointed.

I happened to find this pizza place on a list of Brooklyn restaurants so we decided to give it a try. The coal fired Margherita pizza was every thing it should be: great sauce, house made mozzarella and basil on a just right blistered crust. The roasted garlic and house peppers served at the table were a nice touch. We also tried a roll (think calzone) with house sausage, roasted peppers, and mozzarella and a chicken pesto panini that came with some delicious home made fries. We made a great choice considering all the great pizza found in the area.

we had dinner at the 3 ave and 10 street location . the restaurant is a nice setting like an old school sit down pizza place with brick walls . we had dinner early so their were not many tables taken. . their is a small bar and a few people have dinner at the bar. ok , so now at the table the waiter was friendly gave us the menus and we were on our way. we order seafood salad and baked clam , both were very good . just to nitpick a little no bread at the table . I really did not want it we were eating pizza . it would be two much . but there was none . we ordered a large margarita pizza just plain no topping . real Brooklyn people just cheese and sauce . but the pizza was great . I have 5 slices and my wife and two . the pizza is. outstanding the desserts were weak . the were out of two so we had some chocolate flat bread it was ok . the cappuccino was good the bill two app's , pizza , one desserts , two beers and two soda's apx 70 without tip . overall I would go back anytime .

This stop on our Brooklyn Food tour was such a delight. From the attractive displays throughout the shop which include cans of tomatoes, olive oils, garlic, and peppers; to the pleasant staff that was readily smiling and answering questions; to the great, thin crust pizza with the perfect blend of cheeses and basil; to the additional olive oil, garlic, and hot peppers that individuals could add to single slices of pizza---this place is the best. What a delightful treat. Great pizza and great service in an attractive, welcoming setting.

We kind of stumbled over this restaurant as we rented an apartment just around the corner. Very positively surprised on the food quality (starter and fine pizza) for a reasonable price. Ambiente is fine. Ended up visiting it a second time.

Had their margarita pizza at the Nets game, and it was the driest pizza I’ve ever had. The crust was so burned it broke into a million pieces, and the cheese was over cooked into a solid dry mass. The couple of bites that were still soft tasted ok though.

We have had pizza at the Table 87 on 3rd avenue and 11th street both in the restaurant and take out. The pizza is top notch. It is pricier than other places, but worth it.

We stayed in Brooklyn for 5 nights and ate here twice! The first time was after many drinks and all I remember is how yummy the pizza was so had to return for a proper dining experience. I wasn't disappointed, the pizza was definitely as amazing as I remembered but what I really loved was the addition of the 2 little glass jars of chillies and roasted garlic that we were given. They are obviously made in-house and wow what a fabulous accompaniment they were to the pizzas! I could have eaten half that jar of roasted garlic -yum, just yum!! We even had dessert which is something we usually don't do. The service and atmosphere were great. I'd definitely make a point of going back for another amazing meal if I ever find myself in NYC again.

This is a wonderful place to eat, but do NOT Order delivery to your home. I have been a regular customer for the past three years. I have had wonderful fresh meals when I visit, but have been repeatedly disappointed by the meals that are delivered. If you ask for delivery, expect to wait for an hour. The food sometimes arrives cold. Most recently when I called to complain that the food was cold (I live three blocks away), the manager Danny told me to heat it up in the oven and refused to apologize. A simple “I’m sorry” would have gone a long way.

This pizza is so specially made, the chefs put so much care on the dough of each pizza its just like art looking at the chars on calzones, pizza and rolls. Put some spicy peppers and roasted garlic on your pies they're awesome additions. Staff is super friendly, best sauce in Brooklyn, and although the price is high for a pie and roll, I still find myself ordering em because they're so damn good. Love it. Keep it up 87.

Love the pizza. Friendly staff. Love the burrata pie and the Margherita. Yummy in my tummy. I would recommend this place to anyone. Love it. Been to all the locations.

I grew up in New York, but currently live in Oregon, which is a wasteland when it comes to proper Italian restaurants. On a recent visit, I was treated to Table 87 by someone who understands my plight. It was perfect, from the Burrata Caprese to the orecchiete with broccoli rabe and sausage to whatever vodka-sauced special I had the pleasure of ordering. Good selection of wine, as well. Service was over-the-top friendly, and I'm only sorry I didn't even try their pizza.

I was looking for a light bite on a Saturday night, and there they were, nearby the Ace Hotel! Staff was courteous, pizza was tasty, and they have their own house seltzer/club soda. Perfect!

Very fresh pizza. The thin crust is incredible, as is the cheese. Watching the chef toss the dough to make nice thin crust pizza was a joy. This is not artisan pizza - it's the real McCoy!

I ordered a pizza at 7.15pm on a Sunday night. I live four blocks from the Brooklyn Heights location. I got my pizza at 9pm. My kids and I had given up on it and had found alternative food, however the delivery guy stood outside my door at 9pm! Pathetic even on NY standards!

Sometimes I walk down here to stretch my legs from the office. I have only ever been here in the afternoon. I guess at night the place is probably a mad house. There are about 40 seats behind the pizzeria. The cook is also the waiter. The food is very good. Last week I had ravioli with shrimps and scallops. It was good.

Just outstanding. Cool spot and the margarita was perfect. Have had pizza all over the world and this is up there with some of the best coal/wood fired pizzas I’ve had.

Went here on a Brooklyn food tour. The pizza is delicious. Nice thin crust. Fresh ingredients. You must try when you are in Brooklyn. We will be back!

Located at the corner of 10th St and 3rd Ave., we gave this a try on our first night in the neighborhood, one which is not fancy. There is a small bar located in the front of the house near the take out order station. Dining room is located past that area and the coal oven. We ordered from the take out menu but ate in but the pasta dishes got the thumbs up from the clerk at our hotel. The pizza slice was good, meatball calzone was LOAD-ed with ricotta cheese. Beer and wine selection is interesting, mostly local brews.

If you come to New York this is a place you have to stop at. Absolutely tasty and satisfying. Loved every bite!

Whether you need a quick pick-me-up or want a whole dinner, this little spot on Atlantic Avenue at the edge of Brooklyn Heights is a really great spot. The people who work here are friendly, the space is comfy and clean, the prices are very reasonable, and the pizza is absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back!

A gem on Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn! First time visit and was not disappointed. Pizza was fantastic as was the service. Will be back!

Wonderful treat. The stuff peppers are great...Jason is terrific...try also the table 87 lager...good food. Good conversation..

We have eaten a lot of pizza - this was great pizza in a relaxed and friendly setting. We hope to return and would definitely recommend.

We visited Italy in September and this was very reminiscent of the vibe there! We sat in the back where the theme is very eclectic. We ordered two beers. I had a Peroni and my wife had a Table 87 (lager) and both hit the spot! Dinner was a little slow coming out but worth the wait. I had Basil 🌿 and Pesto pasta (fantastic!) my wife had a Grilled chicken pesto panini (Dry but delicious) she dunked her bread into the basil sauce of my dish. I wish it came with some bread. It was an outstanding atmosphere! Clean...

Went here as part of a tour. A slice of Neapolitan pizza was great. Service was very good. Simple decor but worth it!

The standard of restaurants in Brooklyn is high and Table 87 is up there with the best for great Italian food. I went for the mushroom pizza though I was tempted by the steak special. The wise cracking staff are hospitable and enterain the customers without overpowering them. I'll be back!

I never review a place the first time I go in unless it's really bad I've been going here since they opened and I will keep on going the food is great the service is the same and it's constantly like that

Had takeout from this store and found the thin crust pizza to be delicious. And was made with fresh ingredients. Highly recommended for takeout

We had a bad experience with table 87 staff. They charged me twice for tips! Next time will go to other place for pizza....

Found this by chance when looking for a quick take away after a busy day in New York. One of the best pizzas ever! Went back following night and only then saw the small dining room at the rear. Great value.

This was the freshest, most wonderful pizza I have ever eaten. The ingredients were so freshly made and perfectly cooked in the coal oven. Pure heaven

Our Friday night dinner date on a trip to NYC was highlighted by staying in Brooklyn for the first time. When we visit again, we'd travel from other areas to Table 87 for a visit because of the delicious food and incredible service from Jason and the bar staff. Even without a reservation, we felt welcome at their doorstep. It's an intimate Italian restaurant, so you're seated near others in a small room where the walls tell the story of their food: a collection of coal oven doors, cheese graders and more. Jason, our server, took great detail and pride in sharing the menu with us. As meals came from the kitchen to other tables, he would display them to us, detailing each. Great plating presentation as well. Our order of two pasta entrees, two rounds of local beers and desserts for each of us: $60 before tip. In NYC. What a great find for a quality experience.

A lovely little restaurant where you can see your pizza being made as you come in. Very friendly staff and tasty pizza. Very busy when I was there with locals which is a good sign.
Pizza just DOESN'T get better than this!
Being extremely local, we have eaten at the Gowanus 'Table 87' many times. Each and every time we have experienced super friendly and helpful service, and eaten the most wonderful pizzas ever, ever, ever! (Also, if you like roasted garlic, this is the place for you).
