We had a great time here! The free chips and salsa was delicious, and the guacamole was also great. Everything we ordered was very good, and the ambience was busy but not so loud you couldn't talk. Recommended - best Mexican food in the area.

This neighborhood spot is the go-to spot on week nights. The tacos are delicious, and so are the margaritas. Unfortunately they don't take reservations, and the place is crowded usually, so expect to wait for a table during peak hours.

Loud music, bright colours and seriously good food. The drinks were a bit pricey- aren’t they all round here? Friendly attentive service and smiles everywhere. We were a little older than than the clientele but we were made to feel welcome. This is a place for friends and cocktails and taco after delicious taco. Mrs BB only had me for company though...

OMG, so good. Everything was so fresh and the flavors were amazing. This is definitely on the must-return-to list next time I'm in SF.

Really fun place for tacos and drinks...that is what you get at this trendy place. A wide variety of tacos that are served with fun drinks. Staff is overly great and beautiful!

For Los Angelenos always in search of the perfect taco, Tacolicious came about as close to Nirvana as possible. A real surprise was the crispy taco with mashed potatoes inside and amazing salsa.

After husband worked we stopped by. Margarita was ok. Tacos not good. Carnitas dry, potato chorizo too much chorizo. Will not return.

Good food, great service, I recommend (of course, who am I? Just some one who likes to eat LOL) Hey, it’s San Francisco, if it ain’t good, it won’t be around for long, so get down there before something changes and another venue steps in. Try the mushroom taco, chicken taco and carnitas taco.

The Tacos are great! The guacamole is awesome. The salsa fresca is complimentary and yummy. We ordered 4 different Tacos for $17.95 and all 4 were as good or better than any we have ever had. The portions are good and the value excellent. The quinoa salad was also a flavorful option. This Bay area outlet is small, but very much worth the effort. Highly recommended for lunch if you are anywhere near the Marina district.

After a long day out exploring San Francisco we decided to order take out from Tacolicious. We had the fish taco, pumpkin taco, meatballs and the Ahi Tuna tostada. We really enjoyed all of the food we ordered. The service was very friendly and the order took about 20 minutes before it was ready. Overall I would recommend this place for good Mexican.

Marina girl salad with chicken, a carnitas taco and a Marina Blonde beer from SF brew co..what more could you ask for? Oh and complimentary chips and salsa. No issues with Tacolicious. I typically stop in when I'm in town.

I have enjoyed Tacolicious both in Cow Hollow and Palo Alto, and the food never fails to deliver. Smash down some tacos with a beer or two and you will feel well replenished!

The place it's regular, very uncomfortable chairs and extremely noisy. I didn't like the salad because it has too much cumin. The fried chicken taco and a mole taco were good. Expect to pay $40 for two

Hoping for good authentic Mexican food on the west coast, our first stop was here, and honestly, it was a let down. The salsa was barely mediocre, and the tacos, well they were nothing special. We have better tacos and cheese dip in St. Louis! The building and environment however, were really cool! I loved the alley space for outdoor seating and the drinks were also very refreshing!

Good margaritas and a good selection of quality tacos. Good environment to grab a drink with friends and hang out. I enjoyed the beer chicken and fish tacos. They also serve free chips and decent salsa

Took kids for lunch. Tiny street tacos are $5.50 each or 4 for $20. The carnitas tacos were pretty good. The ceviche tasted like a kitchen experiment gone wrong—the used mayo?!? Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and beans were cooked well, but had zero flavor. There are plenty of options in San Francisco for good Mexican. Spend your money at one that serves up good food.

One of the employes were harassing a photographer on a public sidewalk! I do not know what is wrong with these people, they're literally a camera on every corner or store front!

I ordered steak tacos is really awesome and tasty very well. I love their chips is the best in the world than any Mexican restaurants. I can tell this chips made from their own restaurant not buy from bags or other sources from company's chips. I like real Coca Cola bottle from Mexico because tastes like real fresh not metal can or fountain machine.

After having been waitlisted, my friend and I waited close to an hour for a call. Upon asking what happened, they said they couldn‘t call us because of our foreign number. We waited almost 30min for someone to serve us and they got the order wrong. The food was not good enough for them to be lacking in service quality. However, they apologized thoroughly and we received two drinks on the house. We do hope those were only human errors and not recurring ones.

Casual restaurant with a dining room and bar, plus some outside tables. Pretty loud inside- quiter outside. The theme here is tacos, obviously, and they were great- we each mixed and matched 4 tacos. Some, like the grilled fish, and carnitas, were terrific, others, like the chicken, brisket, or veggie, were very good also. Throw in a pitcher of margaritas and guacamole to start, and you're all set. This location was pretty popular, and does not take reservations, so be prepared for a wait. Service outside was a little uneven- our waitress disappeared for long stretches. Plus I have to say even with how good the tacos were, the drinks and food seem a touch pricey. Great place to eat if you can snag a table pretty much on arrival- if the wait is lengthy at all I'd look elsewhere and try again another night.

A decent Mexican eating place at the corner of Chestnut and Avila.Has good tacos especially the fish tacos.Drinks are expensive.Seating is spacious. Salsa and guacamole are excellent.

Excellent option for family to enjoy a variety of taco choices. Helpful staff. A little expensive but par for the course on trendy Chestnut Street. I'd recommend!

The tacos are amazing, but I really love the chips and guacamole. What really puts the over the top is the service is fast, friendly and never rushed. Love this place!

Walking around Mission you will find numberous taco restaurants. Tacolicious stands out as a more upscale and hip alternative - try to get a spot on the outside patio! The food both looks and tastes amazing! I can warmly recommend the guacamole and refried beans with chips, as well as the fish tacos. Try the virgin mojito also (perfect for the drivers!). 2-3 tacos per person is plenty. Come here for lunch or dinner, or just a snack during sightseeing. There should always be room in your Mission itinerary for fish tacos :)

We live in Mexico and the kids were missing tacos so we popped into Tacolicious. We were impressed with the quality and flavors. The steak tacos weren't as good as typical arrachera, but everything else was perfect.

My husband and I stopped in here, a place recommended by the guide at the Mexican Museum (located in Fort Mason). It was busy and crowded, small tables, but just fine for a casual lunch. The guacamole was fresh and delicious, the corn chips warm and crisp. I had enchiladas verde which were excellent, he had chicken mole which he liked. We will keep the name and address for the next time we go to San Francisco.

Good food, service was good without being intrusive. Wife had a margarita. At first thought it was small, but then realized it was enough to satisfy her. And that is what can be said about the food. We ordered 4 tacos for 17.95. When it csme, we were wondering would we need to have a second dinner someplace else. But they satisfied without that I am stuffed feeling.

This was such an easy choice: all the food looked delicious and the service was friendly. We ordered the fresh guacamole (amazing!) with chips and some tacos, alongside delicious margaritas. It's a chain, but it's really good quality.

My husband and I had dinner here on a Friday night. It had a lively crowd and great margaritas. We had the cod, shrimp and brisket tacos. The brisket was the best! 3 tacos is enough to fill you up. Generous meat and fish per taco.

We got the 10 tacos and each one had quite a bit of filling. We got 2 of each: hanger steak (meh), chicken mole (tasty), cod fish (very good), pork carnitas (ok; needs more tomatoes), and short rib (good). Wish I had got the veggie one b/c it was too much meat and not enough balance of veggie with the meat; thought the taste was good. They give you 3 different salsas to put on as toppings.

Huge and yummy tacos, good guac, and nice time. Great staff, even though it was absolutely packed so sometimes had to wait.

It wasn't even full and the noise was so loud we had to shout to be heard. The mojito was weak, watery and basic. The tacos were tasty but very oily. The best was the vegetarian taco with butternut squash and the steak taco but you had to pay slightly more for it. Overall it was ok a trendy, fun atmosphere, but if you're there to talk forget it!

My wife and I had dinner the night we left SF. Its at the heart of the tourist area among all other restaurants. We had great reviews and did not disappoint. We both got some guacamole and tacos. They were delicious and i would definitely go there again.

Not the place for a romantic evening with your other half! The tacos are great, but it's crazy busy, very noisy and the tables are crammed very close together. Service was fine though.

We enjoyed our tacos at Tacolicious a lot, being from Texas it wasn't quite our typical Mexican flare but pretty close. We had five people within our group so we took the waiters advice and order a tray of assorted tacos. They all were quite tasty. We also ordered guacamole which was good. The margaritas were the best!! They were so good that we went back for seconds the next day. The tacos are a bit pricey but I attribute that to CA.

My family has visited this place every time we come to San Francisco and it is consistently pleasurable. The service is good and the food is excellent. The waitress remembers us which is pretty amazing considering how many people visit the place. We eat an assortment of the tacos most of the time. The queso is also good.

We just popped in on a Tuesday afternoon and we were lucky to get a seat-so busy. Now I know why-great carnitas tacos, salsa variety flight, reasonable prices. Tacos were as full as the tortillas would hold. The photo should answer all you need to know.

My husband and I each ordered the taco of the week (Taco de Alambre) and were not disappointed! We also ordered one Traditional Carnitas taco and one Baja Style Pacific Cod taco. Both were very good but the Alambre was the favorite. The salsas offered were very tasty as well. The margarita (Tickle Me Telmo) I ordered left something to be desired, but I'm from Texas and am used to good, strong Tex-Mex margs! The atmosphere was fun and trendy; seating is very snug. Would come here again.

To he honest, I'm not a big fan of Mexican food! However, i went to T Mobile store and asked the guy who was assisting me of recommendations, and he tolled me about Tacolicious. So i went there with no idea of what to eat!! I asked the waitress to pick things for me out of the menu, and she recommended the fish and chicken tacos and they were really delicious. And their dips were to dye for!

Visually, the restaurant is beautiful as is the plate presentation however, the food definitely does not deliver. Pass it up.

i loved the salsa at this place but , it does not appear to exist any more. It is expensive for tacos maybe that is why it went out of business but it did have great salsa

Tacolicious brings tasty nueva Latina cuisine to The Marina. The menu features "snacks," sides and, of course, the raison d'etre: tacos. Don't be fooled into ordering too much food. The tacos ($3.95 each, four for $13 and 10 for $31) dwarf the regular taqueria offerings. One "snack," two tacos and maybe a side will more than suffice. Add to that the unending supply of the freshly made chips from La Palma tortillas as well as house-made salsa and two diners will surely be sated. A great way to begin your meal, the albacore tostadas ($10.95) are served with avocado and caramelized leeks atop a crisp tortilla with chipotle-spiced aioli. Despite the cutesy name, the Marina Girl salad ($9.95) with romaine, avocado, cucumber, radishes, pumpkin seeds, cotija cheese, and a light, but spicy, vinaigrette is a winner. Deep and rich, a favorite is the Camarones (shrimp) a la diabla ($10.95). Perfectly seasoned--not too fiery, not too bland--it rocks. Moist and fresh, the fried local rock cod was good, but lacked in the flavor department. All that being said, the tacos are undoubtedly the star. You can choose from short ribs, cochinita pibil (slow-roasted pork), carnitas, chicken mole, and more. Whichever you select, you will not be disappointed. Moist and tasty with a nice level of heat, they are all winners. If you go to Tacolicious at peak hours, be prepared to wait. Yes, everyone else has discovered this gem as well. Once you sink your teeth into a delicious taco, Tacolicious is, however, worth the wait.

While shopping with my daughter, we grabbed an out door table at what appears to be a little whole in the wall...to our delight, it was totally fresh, perfectly authentic Mexican tacos. We shared 4 different tacos and each one was more delicious than the other. A great quick lunch find!

This is a really great Mexican restaurant with unique regional flavors. Skip the boring chain restaurants and try this authentic Mexican resto with a great menu and tasty eats. It can be a bit crowded and noisy inside, but the outside seating has great heaters and can provide a quiet and romantic setting. The bar has a huge selection of unique margaritas and other specialty drinks. For the food, I suggest the tacos as it allows you to sample different taste sensations with the many different tacos. But all of the food is great and if you're adventurous at home, there's a great cookbook too. It's worth a visit!

We were debating what to eat and wether or not we should eat tacos again... We walked right in front and it was full... at 6:30pm... so we has to try it. We sat at the bar, and ordert 7 tacos... each one more amazing than the previous. COULD NOT EAT MORE, and i wanted too!!!! However, avoid the chile con queso (cheese with chile). We thought it was thw traditional melted cheese from mexico known as cazuela, but it was just the supermarket yellow cheese.... horrible... however they took it out of our tab.

I love tacos and was told I had to try Tacolicious while in San Francisco. I got the fish taco which was nice and crunchy as well as the garlic shrimp taco which was on special. I wish I had gotten more shrimp tacos as they were awesome. The seating was a little tight due to the popularity of the place, but nothing that interferes with the meal. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

We frequent the one in manhattan beach so we’re so pleased to see in the marina today while our doing some shopping..abs they have a location in the ferry building! Great..will go soon We like fish and camarones , try filet, weekend breakfast tacos and must have Quac and cheese dip. Yum. Casual easy, not expensive great outdoor COVID set up w a variety of salsas

The quality of Mexican food is usually directly related to the distance from the Mexican border. The closer the better as it is in San Diego and all of the SoCal beach cities, but for those in the SF area, luckily there are several Tacolicious stores. The food is good as is the service and the adult beverage choices. The salsa is a bit tame, but the fresh guacamole is excellent. Try the Aguachili which is a shrimp ceviche in a green chile, lime, avocado, and cilantro sauce. The choices of taco fillings are varied and very generously portioned. The prices for the tacos are a bit high, but it's a lot cheaper than driving south to Tiajuana.

We had delicious vegan tacos, great chips and salsa, and an outstanding pitcher of mezcal margarita, all of which made for a fun time for friends!

Great spot for chips, salsa, queso, and tacos! Our group visiting from Texas needed a Mexican food fix-- this definitely hit the spot! We would go again :)

If you're in for Mexican food, this is a good choice, the quality is good, and service is fast, however it's one of the go to places on Saturdays and Sunday's for lunch and dinner around there which might lead to a delay in case you show up with more than two people

If you like tacos, this is not a bad place. Pleasant ambience. Wide selection of flavourful tacos, although the double skin is a bit thick and the salsas are mild (so no risk of Moctezuma's revenge). Good drinks.

Stumbled across this place at the end of the day vacationing in San Fran. Sat a the bar as travelling solo. Pleasantly surprised. Tacos and other food presented artfully, fresh and delicious. Added to that a good selection of local and Mexican beer in a kind-of shabby-chic kind of way and you have a very good all round experience. Great staff helpful and friendly. Will def come back.

Great restaurant with a great vibe, can get busy and you will need to wait for a table but they have a good system that sends an SMS when your table is ready so you don’t have to wait around. I recommend the fish tacos.

Oh my god - firstly the service. Two of the nicest most knowledgeable young woman you could wish to meet. Clearly knew the menu and offered up some incredible options. Didn't mess around and the service was rapid. I seriously can't big these guys up enough! Food - so we went for beef tacos, and two appetisers which were the tuna dish and the mushroom. Next level amazing and came super quick. Amazing. Venue - me and my fiancé sat outside to people watch and it's situated in a trendy yet gorgeous part of SF - again amazing. Drinks - went for cocktails and easily the best we've had during our stay. So far on our America trip this is the only review we've left which speaks volumes. Thanks for making two Brits feel very much at home. Take note San Fran..... this place is the bench mark!

Last night 6 of us had drinks and tacos. The margaritas were perfect. Tacos were delicious. Cannot reserve tables...yet great place. Recommended

My wife and I shared 4 tacos and guacamole with chips. The flavors were great. The portions were more than enough. Were spent about the same at another national chain the previous evening and regretted it since this was so much better. Service was a little slow and it took some convincing to seat us inside. Had my service dog with me and they were more than accommodating.

What's better than delicious tacos, a margarita and great company! Sitting on the sidewalk on Chestnut St enjoying all of these and people watching. Love this place!

So fun! We came around 6 on a weeknight. It was pretty full but we were able to get a seat at the bar right away. The bartenders were very attentive. The steak tacos were AMAZING! And I loved the salsa. I'm just sorry I couldn't make another trip back before the end of our vacay.

Popular restaurant and bar.Various tachos and sdes available.Located on pleasant section of Chesnut .Buzzy atmosphere .portions are small, food is good.Service was pretty uncaring.

My daughter and I were shopping and came across this restaurant. Complimentary chips and salsa are great. Guac very good as are the tacos. we shared four and were stuffed with them and the chips, salsa and guac. Can eat outside.

My fiancé and I headed to this place after an 8.5 mile run over the Golden Gate Bridge, and they definitely satisfied our post-run munchies! The chips and salsa on the table were pretty great, and both of us loved our juices. I got the Mia, a strawberry mixture, and he had a carbonated passion fruit drink. We ordered the kale salad for an appetizer, and I really appreciated that they were willing to put the dressing on the side (I don't like dressing on salad usually). My fiancé ordered the carnitas taco, which was wonderful, and a chicken mole Colorado taco, which was mediocre. I ordered the roasted butternut squash and baja-style pacific cod tacos, both of which I highly recommend. The kale salad (quinoa, cabbage, beets, grapefruit, vinaigrette) was still my favorite pick though. The place was packed, so go early if possible! Outdoor seating is available and highly recommended if the weather was nice, like it was when we visited!

Two of us shared a four taco combo, and were able to make eight full tacos out of the overstuffed four. Carnitas and short rib fillings the best to our minds, beer and a shot chicken boring, grilled fish just okay. The salsas are great, as much or little heat as you want, great tang and real chile flavors. Chips very salty to sell more beer. Crowds of young people, and you have to shout to be heard, so take-out is a good option in the evening.

We just stopped in for margaritas late in the evening. Wont' be back. Tables are all high tops, which we hate. Margaritas were OK but small. Noisy. Our main turnoff: the chips had no taste whatsoever; imagine the worst chips you can get in a supermarket, and then drop the quality by half. Salsa nothing to admire either.

Margarita and guacamole are good , taco's needs to be improved, atmosphere is good, servers are very helpful

A Monday night trip on our first evening in San Francisco. The lively atmosphere helped us fight the jet lag after an eleven hour flight. Tacos eaten included cod, carnitas, chicken and the beef. Good value for money, kids loved their carnitas and we loved the cod. Get down there.

The tacos were very good and you can choose from a single taco, 4 or 10 at a time and you can mix and match the different ingredients. I had 2 Pacific Cod and 2 Carne Asada tacos and they were both very tasty. we also had a pitcher of their infused jalapeno and passionfruit margarita! Careful, it can be very spicy if you are not into jalapeno's!

Very popular taqueria with great bar drinks. Bit pricey but fun. $13 for a margarita. Part of a chain in San Francisco. Casual dining children friendly.

I eat there every time I'm in that part of San Francisco, because, well, it's awesome. I'm not talking about the best Mexican restaurant North of the border; but a hard to beat quality/price/service combination.

The tacos are tasty, the selection is good, the vibe energetic, service friendly and Obama has eaten here. The place was packed the day we visited which is a sign of a quality place. We ordered corn chips & a mix of tacos to share between four of us. We all enjoyed our food & experience at Tacolicious. There are at 2 least other stores in San Fran (this one is in the Marina District).

Favorite casual spot! Fresh ingredients and super tasty Mexican food! Street style tacos are small and tasty! Guac is fresh, salsa is flavorful, chips are perfect! Best tacos are carnitas. Shrimp and the seasonal veggie! If you are feeling like a treat the queso is amazing, and not something you find in California Mexican food! Yum! Atmosphere at all locations super fun!

This place sounded and looked lively as me and my wife and 11 year old daughter approached. The door was opened and we were welcomed in and sat down with menus and nacho's/suace within seconds. Great attention by staff. Taco's were tasty (selection of 10) and drinks were good and reasonable prices. My daughter who is a fussy eater didn't enjoy- which was noticed by a waiter, who then delivered her a free ice cream sundae concoction! Then she was happy.

We visited for lunch. I was wanting to try these guys for lunch. Our schedule allowed us to stop by and grab some. They brought out the chips and salsa and they were very good. They had just fried the chips. They were tasty. We ordered our tacos and for 6 tacos it set me back over $30. I said wow!! Those must me the best tacos. Nope. They were good but not up to the hype. We have had better and so much cheaper at other places. I did like the 3 sauces. Will I be back. Not likely!!

I was in a group of five for an informal dinner after a business conference. We were there during Happy Hour and the $7 house margaritas were great. I really like the prepared cauliflower as a side. I got one of the meat tacos- bacon, chorizo and steak and it was a little oily but with three meats I guess that is to be expect. I wish the server would have explained that the tacos were going to come family style- since it was a business dinner no one was really prepared to navigate a plate together. The place had a fun atmosphere in a lively neighborhood

Met up with a friend for lunch here based on the reviews and was disappointed. I ordered the tacos and the short ribs had lots of fat on it and the chicken was bland. For a place whose name is Tacolicious, I expected the tacos would be delicious and unfortunately it was not.

I cannot compliment these tacos enough. So insanely delicious and fresh! Loved it! We had great service as well and adored the queso. We tried he carnitas and braised beef tacos and it was a toss up which ones we liked more. We also had a great waiter who was very kind and attentive.

Went there for quick bite and few drinks. Really good vibe, good service and nice cocktails. Tacos weren't bad. Guacamole was freshly made, but not at its best.

Fresh and delicious food. Perfect service. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Overall great experience. We absolutely loved this place and are going to come back for more!

Right off the bat you get hooked by the various hot sauces that accompany your meal. With every meal, no matter what you order you're given three hot sauces (Green sauce, Red - Medium spice, and Yellow - Habanero), varying in spice level, and they are goddamn delicious. You're given salsa, chips, and of course I highly recommend the guacamole. Grab a margarita to go with whatever you order, and I recommend one with mezcal if you're into a bit of a smokey kick. If you go to a place called Tacolicious, you better be getting tacos, so I'll stick to that for recommendations. Guajillo Braised Beef are a hefty portion of tasty goodness, the Carnitas melt in your mouth, the Carne Asade is always a staple, and the special is definitely a must try. Since the special is constantly rotating it's definitely a fun experience to dive into it. I had the Wild Boar and it was anything but boaring hahaha. I can't wait to have many more fun times at Tacolicious, and try even more of their grand tacos.

Stop in for a quick beer/snack...what a great find. Great atmosphere and top notch service. All drinks are accompanied by complimentary chips and a very good salsa. Decent selection of beers and the tacos plate was top notch. Definitely recommend!

We have been here over a half hour bout waitress mostly forgets we are here, screwed up my husband's order, hasn't been by to discover how wrong it is as it gets cold, forgot our chips and salsa twice while table next to us just walked in and has them. Never returning or recommending.

A taco place in SF. It has good food and good options for decent prices. It is Fishermans ward area so it can be pricey down there. Drinks were not bad, but mostly they only serve tequila.

Nice spot for lunch serving interesting tacos and excellent guacamole. Surprised there are not more reviews considering how long they have been open and crowds inside. This is a tough menu to pull off serving small $5 buck tacos. They have 6 to 8 choices from pork to fish served with three salsa choices. You can deconstruct the one taco into two by splitting the filling between the two stacked tortillas and adding some guacamole. Seems like a bargain. We enjoyed the noises from the crowd and music as the tables surround the bar area. You will like the patio area if you want to have a conversation. Service good and attentive.

Great tacos and all the accompaniments! Three of us ate here twice over a few days visiting the city. Chestnut St is a fun shopping Street and Tacolicious is perfect for lunch or for supper. We did both.

Was visiting SF for the 1st time and this place was recommended. We ordered fish tacos which were very good and the chips were awesome. Fast service, but quite loud inside. If you want a quieter place for dining, I wouldn't recommend. This place tends to cater to the hip, younger crowd.

If they have corn please order it. One of the best corn dishes I have ever had. It really hit the spot that day. Found this place randomly while wandering the city. You can't ask for a better place to have lunch. Great drinks, good vibes and awesome tacos.

I have been here several time when I visit SF. Good tacos and drinks. Service good, they serve several sauces with tacos from mild to hot

This place does not accept reservations so get there early on weekends. We had an excellent server Maren. We ordered the taco combo. I asked if the Baja cod tacos were breaded and she said yes, but I can have them grilled if you prefer. She did and they were wonderful. We also ordered the brisket tacos also very good. The tacos came with a choice of three different salsas. The presentation was excellent. We had the pomegranate Margarita which had a wonderful flavor. Tocolicious checked all the boxes. It was a little noisy but that is the vibe of the place. Just a good experience and we will be back. Thanks again to Maren for the excellent service.

Doing the tourist thing in SF and stopped for a quick lunch. It exceeded my expectations (and I'm from Texas). The whole family enjoyed their tacos. The tortillas excelled in freshness and flavor. The meat and veggie fillings exploded with just the right amount of sauce. Service a bit slow, but we arrived at the peak of the lunch frenzy.

Everyone in my family loves Tacolicious. Yay! My children will happily gobble down the food at Tacolicious so I am not resigned to some kid friendly restaurant with food I don't want to eat. Try the tuna tostadas or the kale salad. They have a different taco of the week selection in addition to their regular menu. My 12 year old and I are impartial to the Beef Gaujillo taco. Hip and trendy but still great service to mothers and children. Great children's menu that even comes with an ice cream sundae.

My girlfriend had a birthday party catered by Tacolicious and it was delectable. The flavors are awesome.

The restaurant is good designed, atmosphere is ok but tacos are not fantastic and overrated. May be tried.

Originally from SF, I now live out of the country and it is tough to get any decent Mexican food, so every time I come into town, I head for Tacolicious! I love the taco specials, there's great IPA, and I enjoy the restaurant ambiance (do not come here for a quiet meal!!!). On this visit, I came to watch the Warriors game with dinner, it's great to come into a local eatery and feel like you are a regular. The staff is great and super quick bringing more chips, salsa, beer, whatever!

I don't love this place. I think it is high priced and not that special. the food is good, but not great. It is expensive for what it is. Good for drinks.

Had a great lunch here. Chicken tacos and they were fresh and hot. Atmosphere was very nice. Staff was wonderful when back in san Francisco so look to come here again.

The food was good but the margaritas were amazing! The servers were friendly except for the hostess he seemed to have a little bit of an attitude . The drinks made up for the night since they were really good

We were served so quickly I suspected that the food was pre-prepared! Drinks a couple of minutes after the order with a complementary basket of tortilla chips. Food 3 or 4 mins after drinks (only 4 tacos to share). Pastrami taco was very good, carnita taco good shredded beef. 3 sauces ranging in spiciness from the mild green to the very spicy orange sauce. Beers 6$ for Pacific 12 Oz. 35$ incl tax. The bill was brought to us without asking. Whether because we weren't big spending young people or because they always aim for a quick turnover it suited us, we hate waiting for the bill.

Arrived and got a table for four immediately. Our server was quick and friendly. Ordered a picture of margaritas that were delicious. The chips and salsa are very tasty. Tried the guacamole which disappeared in no time! We were happy that we could order 10 tacos and get a variety. The fish & carnitas were our top choices. The food came out fast and was hot. We were all very happy.

Gotta say right off the Marina Girl salad just makes this place. Food is good, quality ingredients, the drinks are delicious and pleasing. In fact, if you're jonesing for Tacolicious so badly, you might skip this location and go to get your short rib tacos at the Ferry Building were the attitude and usually the crowd is much better. But you're going here for the atmosphere and the salad! Because really, S.F. has better and cheaper taco places. But this one is good for the Marina.

Amazing lunch with my teenage daughter. Great service - the beef tacos were the best! Super fun to sit on the street! Great neighborhood ☺️❤️👌

Not the best tacos I've had. Margarita was so yummy. Staff were disengaged- neither friendly nor rude. Overpriced. Cute location.

I grew up never liking tacos because I was always given that awful Americanized version with a hard shell and "taco seasoning" from a packet. Yuck. But then I traveled through Central America and discovered that tacos can be delicious! Tacolicious has the closest approximation I've ever had in the US to what I had in Central America, and with a great variety of flavors, including some unique ones. Try to avoid Friday and Saturday evenings at peak time, as the place does get crowded.

Delicious food! Fast and friendly staff. We tried the combo of tacos. They were all really good. We liked the one our waiter recommended the best- Taco of the Week! The sauces were good too. We really like the atmosphere too.

hmmm.... We wanted to grab a drink and some bites. The Sangría Roja was not very good at all. Come on! Don't offer it if you haven't got a handle on blending the flavors, or finding the right components. The brandy in it, in particular, was harsh and medicinal. From the HH menu, we tried the Jack Tacos, and the taquitos. Taquitos were quite good and our server described the Jack/Crack tacos as the Tacolicious take on Jack-in-the-Box style tacos. We saw the parallel. I'm not sure it was worth the trouble of re-interpreting? I would not bother ever going back, although the complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. The bus boy who brought them was nice and very attentive; server was mehh.

We arrived in S.F. after a harrowing trip across the Bay Bridge; the approach to the toll booths was insane. We decided to get a quick bite and Tacolicious fit the bill. The staff was upbeat, courteous and attentive. We ordered Cod and Carnitas Tacos, nice presentation, fresh food, tasty.

Great servers, amazing food, fantastic atmosphere and soccer on the screens. Well what more could you want? The nachos, dips and super fresh salads were terrific. The fish tacos and black beans were the best ever! We didn’t see any Presidents there but all the rest of the customers looked very well heeled and happy. We will be back !

The fish tacos were excellent, but I found the price ridiculous for the size of the tacos. And $15 for a margarita? Yikes!!!

I loved this place! amazing food with great salsa! I also got a margarita and it was probably the best margarita I've ever had. I wish more of these restaurants existed!

We stumbled across this place while walking between tourist destinations. It was absolutely outstanding! The menu is small, but wonderfully creative. The food sourcing is sustainable. There are lots of options for gluten – free and vegetarian diners. Plus the decor is funky and the service excellent. Yum!!!

We ate at the one on Chestnut street, great walkable neighbourhood, and Tacolicious turned out to be a trendy little spot whose reputation was well-deserved. Even at 3 in the afternoon, the place was hopping, and for good reason - great food! Try the beef brisket tacos, they were the best! The hostess at the front door was not at her best, but the rest of the service was just fine, and we would definitely recommend this place!

The tacos where tasty and fresh The Margaritas recipes where inspiring... We sat and relaxed while dinning and imbibing at the sidewalk tables watching the local street bustle (people watching). a local gem!

They moved a few blocks down the street into a little larger space, so we decided to make our second lunch visit. We didn't taste much change, all taco choices remain. Service people are mixed, as several people come and go from seating, order, delivery and check. No one asked how the food met our expectation. No service ownership. Fish taco was bland fried, and then learned it could have been ordered grilled. Meat tacos were excellent but seemed over priced for portion size. Chips and several salsas were great. Still a good place to eat outside on sunny day.

Lovely evening. Great food and service. Our waitress was very helpful and we order a selection on Tacos. They were delicious. Washed down with a few Margaritas. Yummy!!! Would definitely recommend a visit.

Not a super fan of mexican food, but I eat it once in a while I had some carnitas tacos and it was very good. It was a busy night, food came out very quick and service was excellent. Will come back ...

Very trendy and cool place for some Taco's. The food was great and they had really nice (and strong) cocktails. Would highly recommend!

TripAdvisor has the address wrong. Go to google maps to get the right address it’s a few blocks down on Chestnut, but it’s a great area to walk! There was a 45 min wait but they texted us when the table was ready and it was worth the wait! Love this place and the people watching is great! Try the pastrami tacos 🌮 sounds weird but they are great!

Best tacos I have ever eaten. My wife and I are from Bethesda, Maryland and were in San Francisco on vacation. We often eat at Tex-Mex and Mexican restaurants in Washington, DC. Tacolicious served the best tacos we have ever had.

Waitress was not the nicest that we had...carnitas tacos made up for her! Chorizo n potato take a pass, chicken was above average. Bit overpriced for the service and food. Can find way better in frisco.

We popped in here for lunch, after 30 minutes of trying to find a place to park, and our efforts were worth it. The chips and salsa were delicious while we waited for our tasty tacos to arrive. I got the Baja style pacific cod and while it was delicious, I wish I had ordered ALL fried avocado tacos. They were AMAZING!! Seriously delicious and unique. If you’re coming here and you like avocado, at least try one. You won’t be sorry! I’m not in the city often but when I am, I’ll definitely come back just for those!

Was visiting S.F. on a business trip and was seeking a casual dinner. Tried Tacolicious and am glad I did. There is a full bar with excellent margaritas. I ordered two taco with a side combo of drunken beans and rice. The food was very good and served with house made tortilla chips and salsa. Overall a very good experience and I will definitely repeat.

I had Guacamole (9.5) and 1 fish taco (4.5) just now for late lunch. The large bowl of Guacamole felt fresh. The fish taco is nicely done; not too oily. I was there at 2pm and there were plenty of seats. Good food and good service!

We visited on a Friday night around 7 pm. We were greeted by an unfriendly and surly hostess who told us the wait was approximately one hour. No problem and expected so reservations are recommended. A smile and some friendliness would have made all the difference with the hostess. Regardless the food was AWESOME. We ended up sitting at the bar and had great service from the bartender even though the place was slammed. The food came out VERY QUICKLY. It was a loud place on a Friday night so plan for that. Otherwise the food and the service once we were seated was great.

I am very fussy about food. I loved everything about this place. Drinks superb, tacos great choices and so fresh, my salad which they accommodated me with my request for half salad perfect. The guacamole was by far the best guacamole ever and they bring out FREE chips and salsa and replenish happily. Our waiter was Jay and was THE BEST. Will not hesitate to return. Check it out hungry. You will not be disappointed.

We had the carnitas tacos, refried beans and rice-o-licious. All was very tasty! Portions of sides were ample and enough to share. Prices were reasonable for the area but not inexpensive. Very easy to adjust portions to eat family style if serving small children.

Such amazing Mexican with heaps of unique options. Staff were very generous and lovely, felt completely spoilt!! Tasty tacos! Would 100% recommend.

This used to be the Grove which I loved on my visits to San Francisco. The new owners made big changes to the interior which is a bit more bar/eatery as opposed to the cafe environment of previous owners. We tried two different tacos - a brisket and a cod and we loved both. Wine and beer were not overly priced as they are in many places in this city. Bartenders were super and we had a nice rapport with both. Made for a fun late afternoon. Great outdoor patios on front and side of building with heaters above.

Tacolicious felt very trendy, maybe that's why they're pretty expensive?! Regardless my husband and I had a great meal there. The food tasted great and the service was excellent.

We turned up here one busy evening and were quickly found a table. Our order arrived promptly and we enjoyed the ambience of the music and noise. Very good food and service. We would recommend to others.

I came here twice on my most recent visit to San Francisco. I think the area is great for walking around and this place has solid food and drinks. They have good beer and margaritas and the tacos are tasty as well.
So good!
Best margaritas I've had in a long time. Guacamole was made fresh and delicious. Very crowded but worth it. Staff helpful with suggestions, but be prepared to spend a good amount of $. We had a pitcher of margarita, guacamole, and 5 tacos which cost $80.
