You don’t know what an authentic taco is supposed to taste like until you have eaten here. The best anywhere.

1724 E Charleston - We like authentic Mexican not a show and expensive decor. Best Mex food in a fast food environment. Friendly too

Fast and fresh food to order. This place is always busy, be prepared to wait. Delicious and affordable. You wait in line at the grill, order, get your food, then pay. I paid $17 for two beef tacos and one quesadea.

The tacos were good, I had six… yes, six! 😅 as they really small. I tried the beef, brain, and tongue tacos, and you could definitely tell which was which from the flavour of the meat. That said, my anticipation was high, but the food was just okay. I think a lot of people go for the hype rather than the experience itself. The queues were long, and for first timers, it wasn’t very clear how to order. The girls behind the counter weren’t particularly friendly when our order got mixed up (English wasn’t their strong point). Overall, if it’s on your bucket list, it’s worth checking out once, but there are plenty of smaller, independent food trucks around Vegas that are definitely worth exploring instead. If you not sure as security guards and any store (we did at Ross).

Though $4.12 for a taco is a bit on the expensive side, at least it is amazing al pastor tacos, and compared to the rest of the restaurants that will nickel and dime you on top of expensive prices, it is at least reasonable. Best al pastor I had state side.

My Vegas visit won’t be complete without a quick stop for three lunch tacos. The tongue and the head tacos are my all-time favorite. Tacos el pastor is their signature one, must try and order every time. The steak taco is good (excellent flavor). Fairly priced, not cheap. The drive from the strip is not bad. Just be aware of the extensive road construction everywhere.

I was in Vegas for a combination work and personal visit and wanted an affordable lunch option. After reading reviews here I decided to give this place a try and so happy I did. Don’t let the appearance of a long line deter you. They have multiple lines going inside and are extremely efficient and quick. Not only are the prices low for being on the strip, but they are making the tortillas fresh while you watch which definitely contributes to the high quality of the food. We tried the quesadilla, tacos, and tostados and thought they were all fantastic.

We came here on the recommendation of a local shop back in NoDak. Loved this place. There are so many options and depending on which meat you’d like..just get in the line! Thankfully the line was not too long but most days it’s out the door so get here early! I loved the chorizo taco and the asada was good as well. Surprisingly you could get fries but they were old school tasty, like a classic drive in. Friends all had the pork tacos, sliced off of a roaster. Two thumbs up for Gordo.

We stopped by yesterday and it was okay. I expected the tacos to be amazing, but they were average. It’s really packed in there and ordering takes quite a while. We had to sit outside because all the seats inside were taken (really small place).

I saw soo many great reviews all over TikTok and Instagram but the food was terrible and the portions were tiny I was shocked. The cashier also seemed annoyed by simple questions. Do not waste your time and money

Best tacos I’ve had. Authentic setting. Get in the line for what you want, get it, eat it, love it. It’s a hot stroll to get there but it’s worth it. Going again next time I’m in Vegas.

We chose this restaurant after seeing the tacos on social media. It wasn’t what were were expecting to be honest. It is more of a fast food cafe than a restaurant. There Mexican cooks all in a row in the open kitchen making the tacos which are the soft small tacos that are very authentic . We had one each which were good but not the dining experience we were expecting.

It's generally fine. Tacos have a regular flavor, never like in Mexico. The one who is crying is guacamole because it looks like gel for the teeth, phosphorescent green. They don't know how. Better order them without guacamole.

Tacos El Gordo has delicious and flavorful tacos and much more. I really like their selection and everything that they have available here. They really have good customer service.

Poor organization for taco making and delivery, if you want several types you must do several rows.... Crazy! Rich but the quality has changed.

Great authentic Mexican food. They prep it right in front of you so you know what you’re getting. Only issue was that it was very loud in the ordering area, hard to ask a question if you wanted to. Note that there are no vegetarian options.

I ordered one vampiro asada to go. It costs USD8.17 ($7.54 and $0.63 tax). For To Go, the cashier wrapped it with a silver foil.

There is an insane wait. But all their food is top quality. There is no wrong choice here, just make sure you go up to the right line. If it is full, I hope you have a car to sit in.

Whenever we visit Vegas, we have to eat at Tacos el Gordo. We can't get enough of the Adobada Tacos and pineapple. Nopales are good too.

Let me start this review by saying the food was amazing, so tasty and flavorful and I would 100% eat here again but the whole experience wasn't the easiest... This place is a legit Mexican taco place so the staff in my experience don't speak English and I don't speak a word of Spanish. I went up to the correct counter to order the tacos I want, I tried to tell the worker what I wanted, sadly between my accent and not speaking Spanish he couldn't understand me. A lovely Spanish speaker noticed my difficulties and translated for me. All was well? Well no, despite the translation my order was still wrong. I ordered 3 tacos, one of each kind but what I actually got was 6 tacos of 2 different kinds. The lovely Spanish speaking lady noticed the mistake and tried to correct it but the worker was not having it. Either way, I took the 6 tacos and paid for the 6 (paid double what I wanted but hey, good food is worth it!). What I got was 3 Taco Asada, 3 taco Leng and 1 soda and the bill come to $18.29. So the experience was stressful and went wrong but the food was so freaking nice! It really was. I would go again but write down first what I want. I would recommend going but make sure you y'know....Can order. Oh and it get's crazy busy! I got there 15 minutes after opening and it was busy. So busy there was nowhere to sit so a lovely gent let me sit with him after he saw I was a bit lost. 10/10 would go again.

We were told this was the best street Taco option in Las Vegas so we decided to give it a try. It is not a standard restaurant experience. You walk in and are in crazy chaotic lines that honestly add to the experience. You stand in line abs then shout over the counter to the chef and he chops up and prepares your meal right then and there. Everything is served as a single serving so order accordingly. I must say, the food is fantastic abs well worth the potential nervous breakdown you have when you first walk in. I highly suggest the food and the environment as well. Have a friend grab you a table while another is in the food line. This place is BUSY!!

Check your receipt before leaving the cashier. The register total is not visible and I neglected to check my receipt until after I had left the restaurant. Significantly over-charged.

A bit pricey for taco $4.29 but was good, very busy place lines moved quickly, easy access right on strip and convention/las Vegas strip. Clean and efficient

Extremely well made tacos. The line was not very long if you go during lunch. The food was freshly made and on the stop.

These are simply the best tacos! You must try the tacos al pastor and the carne asada tacos. We eat here almost daily when we are in Vegas. They are so delicious!

This is the real deal! No "Mystery Meat" here. They use real shaved beef in their tacos. And, they are very filling. The only downer is that they did skimp a bit on the sour cream by my standards. Also, they have Orange Bang! Service and pricing were good. Recommended!

Tacos el Gordo is one of three “drive thru” taco options in this East Las Vegas shopping center near Charleston and Maryland. Although a rather unusual setup, the neighborhood does have more diversity than most. They will routinely be the busiest of the trio, too. This is great Mexican fast food. They do well enough that they can afford to have a location on the Las Vegas Strip. Not surprisingly, the secret is long gone and they often have insane lines.

I was excited to try Tacos El Gordo due to the reviews I have read and the long lines I have seen outside the restaurant. I was fortunate to visit on an evening that was not extremely busy, so my wait wasn’t very long. While waiting I was very entertained by watching the cooks preparing the taco meat, they are very skilled and very interesting to watch. I ordered a carne asada (steak), chorizo (sausage), and abodaba (pork) taco. Out of the 3 tacos the only one I enjoyed was the abodaba taco. The other 2 tacos were dry, tough, and not very flavord. They did a good job at social distancing and the restaurant was very clean and food was very affordable. I’m glad I tried it but I will not go back again.

The food is very authentic, fast & friendly. We kept ordering, trying out various dishes. Every time I go to Vegas, I always stop by!

We are from the East Coast- this gem was recommended by our hotel. Solid meal with very tasty, authentic Mexican food. You order with the person making your food. The steak vampiro was fantastic!

food was taking so long to do. And wasn't that good. Plus no refill. And food was bad overall my experience with this restaurant is bad.

Authentic, long lines, loud and chaotic. Everything tasted the same. Seemed over priced but was convenient on the strip. Was not our favorite Mexican on the strip.

Great tacos! This was my third time here and the taste is great. If you’re in Vegas and want tacos try El Gordo’s!!

Good cost/benefit ratio. The tacos are delicious, the place is clean and the service is very friendly, willing to guide you. You must order first in line for the taco you want and then go to the checkout. If you go during rush hour, be patient.

I went on my first trip to Las Vegas, with some girlfriends from my childhood.. A Mexican new friend that we met; recommended us and drove us to this nice Mexican restaurant... Their tacos are so tasty! I had beef tongue, & suadero tacos and both of them were delicious !! However, I was not very impressed with the AL PASTOR tacos as I asked for a sample, ( their were very nice by letting me try the meat) but to my surprise, the meat tasted sweet and so it wasn't very authentic as the real Mexican tacos al pastor should taste.. The restaurant is so busy yet they are very professional and so well organized!! I was particularly impressed with all of them! GREAT JOB GUYS!! 👍👏👏👍 I loved your food and I wish you had the same restaurant across 🇨🇦 Canada

as a hispanic, this place was really bad. the tacos were cold and they didn’t even cook the carne right. it was cold and hard ☠️. personally i would not go again, literally a waste of time and money. that line is so long just for bad food.

Tacos are great and tasty but way to expensive. And the wait is ridiculous. Not only you have to wait to order but if you want different kind of tacos. You have to get in a different line and wait and wait. At the time you get your 2nd taco your 1st taco is cold. I won't go back again.

Stopped here after flying into Vegas on our way to Bryce Canyon. A great meal, great food. great prices. A must stop. Lots of options and fresh toppings.

Everyone was raving and referring this place. I got to go and to be honest the tacos are good, but overhyped in my opinion. The prices for the amount of meat you get in a taco is fair. The ordering process is easy and streamlined depending on your meat choose. The place is clean and free refills.

Not knowing what to order, we ordered a variety of taco options. They had great flavor but the beef and pork had a lot of fat. They are all ordered a la carte. Lines are often long so I would suggest arriving early. Online hours state open until 0200.

If You love tacos This place is For you.. I Try tacos al pastor , tacos Of Cabeza and Tripa The best Of all was the tacos al Pastor...if you are in vegas Don’t miss this place if you love Tacosss

The prices are ridiculous and just plain price gouging. Today was my last time coming, $27 for 6 tacos is just plain ridiculous.

Ordered only 2 tacos (pork and lenguado) because I just wanted to try the place. A little confusing how and what to order as each station has its own line. Surely that is not the most efficient way to place an order but I don’t manage their operations. Tacos good. If I ever make it back l, I understand now that the pork adobo taco (which I think I got) & carme asada taco are the ones worth trying.

stumbled upon this little taco spot that used to be a gas station, and wow, what a pleasant surprise! From the outside, it doesn’t look like much—just a converted gas station, but the tacos inside are absolutely next-level. The flavors are authentic, and you can tell they really know their stuff. I tried a variety of tacos, and each one was packed with fresh, bold flavors. The carne asada was perfectly grilled, with just the right amount of char, while the al pastor had that perfect sweet-spicy kick. What stood out the most was the warm, friendly vibe. Despite the humble setting, the staff made me feel right at home. They’re super friendly, and you can tell they take pride in the food they’re serving. The tortillas are handmade, and you can taste the difference. The fresh cilantro, onions, and lime wedges are the perfect finishing touch. If you're looking for a no-frills spot with killer tacos, this place is a must-try. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to keep coming back to, especially after discovering how good these tacos really are. Don't let the gas station exterior fool you—inside, it’s all about incredible food!

This place has the best tacos I have ever eaten. I’m from Texas and we have taco food trucks all over and these are so Amazing. When you are in Vegas you have to come this place. You will not regret it.

We ate here today and utterly loved it! It was so very tasty. I got 5 tacos of steak and chorizo , best tacos I've ever had. Yes there was a large queue but don't worry, it's worth it! I wish I could go back.

Unpretentious restaurant, excellent value for money and succulent food, well worth the detour!!!

This is a must do every time I’m in Las Vegas. Best tacos anywhere and the constant line out the front door proves it.

This is a place not to miss in Vegas! We tried a variety of items and not to be missed is the pastor and mula de carnitas. There are 3 different lines for different items so keep that in mind when ordering. We went in off-peak meal hours and the line for the pastor was still pretty long while the other lines were empty. Be prepared to wait as they complete drive through orders as well. They speak English but addressed me in Spanish. Seating is limited but clears fast.

We wanted a place with authentic Mexican street food and we found the perfect place! Everything hand made, right in front of you. Under $2 for each thing we ordered and it was all amazing. Best place to eat, off the strip. Definitely worth checking out!

Best tacos in las vegas. I ate so much I almost feel asleep at work. My wife tells me I love this food more than I love her. No way but the tacos are good?

Don Miguel, the owner, just steals from people with his prices that are too high, it's a shame they should throw gold at him if they are going to continue with those prices, they go up and up and up, but they wanted Biden well...

If you're looking for a high-end resort atmosphere... this is not your place. But, if you are looking for a FUN, Authentic cafeteria style authentic Mexican cafe'.... with plenty of taco options at a great price, Taco's el Gordo is your place!

If you want real authentic tacos, you can’t beat this place. The food is delicious cooked right in front of you made to order fresh and delicious. Every taco I had was great steak and pork were my favorite.

Lousy food, the carafe water has more flavor. It's a relaxation to order, I don't know who it was that was the smart one to do several lines to order different meats. The high price for something that tastes like nothing. I'd better go to McDonald's next time.

Two very popular taco joints sit within a few paces of each other on South Las Vegas Boulevard. They each offer a very different experience. Tacos el Gordo is a highly trafficked, popular joint that serves a wide variety of taco options including unusual cuts like brain, tongue and eyeball. It’s loud and busy and has the feel of an open market place with vendors hawking their wares. There are separate lines for each type of meat (pastor, asada, pork, chicken, beef, steak). The meat is grilled in front of you and energetically chopped before expertly slapped it into a tortilla and topped it at lightning speed. It’s handed to you across the flaming grill with a long pair of tongs. Depending on what you want to eat, you might stand in three or four lines and then have to navigate across those lines to the register to pay. It’s chaotic. The place has a bit of a cult following, especially as a post-drinking eatery and it’s not uncommon for the lines to snake out the door. The steak tacos are a bit dry, and usually cold by the time you pay and find a seat in the crowded dining area. Apparently some of the other cuts are a little moister and tastier. The portions are a little on the small side, although you can find radishes and limes as a side. As a whole, they are OK, and two or three are enough to take the edge off if you’re hungry. I recommend trying a sampling because there are definitely some hit-or-miss options. It seems the main attraction of Tacos el Gordo is the energy, environment and the legend more than the food. This place fills a particular niche. But after a night of drinking, there are enough options to ensure you come away full, if not satisfied.

They make the tacos sloppy and in a rush. The place is so unorganized and dirty. You make one line for a specific type of taco and then stand in another line to pay. By the time you get to that line, your food is already cold. I don’t think the meat was cooked enough because I got diarrhea later that night. The tacos I bought were pricey and did not have flavor. This place is not worth the hype, I would suggest going elsewhere!

The first time we visited this place it's almost 3 pm on a Friday afternoon but there was long line up outside and there was a lady directing customers to different lines depending on what kind of tacos they will order. Basically there are 3 lines, one for pork, one for beef including different parts of like beef tongue, beef head, and one for steak. We tried the beef tongue and the pork and it was so delicious that we came back the day before we left Vegas to get a final bite. This place is very local and very crowded it may be difficult to find seats but personally I do think it is worth the hassle and the wait. Will come back everytime we visit Las Vegas again for sure.

Parking is at a premium around the restaurant. We went inside and saw a number of lines for food. You must decide what type of taco you want and stand in the line to order your food. If you want soft shell or flour tortillas, make sure you ask for it. Also, tell the server whether you are dining in or taking out. After waiting in line for about a half an hour we got our food. After you get the food, you have to stand in another line to pay for the food. We took our food to our hotel room. The food was delicious. The next tie we go to Las Vegas, we will definitely eat here again.

Please be prepared to wait a very long time! The wait is worth it once you get your hands on the spicy pork tacos ! Mouth watering good! Staff here are clearly overwhelmed and tired so they aren’t the friendliest but the food makes up for what they are lacking. Wasnt a fan of the steak tacos. The flan is also very good and they even give you extra sauce on the side. We’ll be back!

This Taco place is a real deal. Truly I had the best Tacos at this place. Tacos El Gordo was referred to me by my son. They have several branches in San Diego and Las Vegas. We tried the one in Las Vegas couple of days ago, we had to go back again for the second time before we left Las Vegas. The place gets kinda busy around lunch time but its all worth it. My favorite Tacos are Lingua,Cabeza and Carne Asada. and of course their El Pastor is the signature dish.

Once you realize this is yummy street taco size portions and you figure out each meat filling has its own line, it’s really a cool local vibe. Be sure to hit the frig off to the side for the sliced radishes/onions/peppers to garnish your tacos. Authentic!

Went here only once and it was enough to make me want to return next time I’m out In Vegas. Food was good and prices were good. Enough said.

Definitely go for the spicy pork tacos! We picked up a mixed dozen tacos for take out. Fresh, made to order, reasonable, and delicious tacos pleased our family group for a poolside lunch at the nearby hotel where we’re staying.

This is my favorite place to get tacos. It is always busy, so it takes a while to order, but it is always worth the wait. The Asada and el pastor are my favorite ones. The Mulas are good too

These tacos are all hype and the lines are ridiculous long , by the time I ordered other meat tacos , the other ones were cold already. There really small and have no flavor don’t recommend at all.

Finally made a visit to this restaurant to sample the “street tacos” vibe. It did not disappoint. Cooked in front of you, order specific lines. Tacos were a bit small but good stuff, salsa was the real thing. Busy place. A bit over price based on the size of taco. Good sopes as well. If you are looking for a steal street taco this is the place!

Incredible tacos! Plenty of parking and only about 10 minute wait at 2:00pm on Labor Day. Go during the day for a shorter line! Staff was all super nice, carne asada tacos and adobada tacos were the best.

This is the real deal Mexican tacos and food. Although it takes more than 30mns because drive thru line is very long. Tacos are worth the wait, i order chicken, beef and pork. The food is freshly made and the flavors are truly delicious Mexican

If you’re staying at the Hilton Resorts world, this place is a must since it’s right there. I have a very different palette to the bad reviews here as I found the asada Al pastor sooo yummy! And the chorizo, the steak was my third favourite. The lineups are ridiculously long. The first time it was a Monday night and we waited an hour. The second time we went randomly on Wednesday at 10:30pm and walked right in and ordered. It was great. It’s not fancy, food court cafeteria style. Just like in and out burger. Tacos are around $3 each. Accessible by taking the Deuce bus which pretty much stops outside of the places. Highly recommend!

It was a good spot if you’re looking for tacos in Las Vegas. We went during lunch time and the lines moved fast and efficiently. The compa serving up the tacos al pastor and cashiers were very friendly.

Googled, “Best Tacos” and found this place. We jumped on the Deuce & happy to find a stop very close (less than a minute walk from their door). Staff were super friendly and prices were low. Loved that the ordering was based on the type of meat you wanted. My husband and I both picked pork. I had 2 tacos & he had the sopes. Service was fast, and great. They probably don’t look pretty in photos but the flavour was amazing! Hard to describe but each bite was better than the last. We found ourselves trying to lick up each drop that fell on the plate. 🤫 Definitely would recommend. Not a fancy spot, just a casual drop in, and get down to eating.

When people say you can't eat good food for cheap in Vegas any more, they obviously haven't been to Tacos el Gordo. We tried many items and all were delicious! We'll definitely go back next time we are in Vegas!

Ate dinner with 6 others and the service was slow, the food was average. I was hoping for something good in Las Vegas, a little disappointing! Drinks were high priced. I paid close to fifty dollars for dinner for myself. The place is average at best!

Best tacos in Vegas! Super fast, cheap and a fun experience. Will definitely go back. We had the pork tacos. They were so flavorful and filling.

It was not worth the cost. These tacos are not like the original ones in Tijuana Mexico. Your paying for the name and my meat was not even seared. They do not make them good because they know most customers don't know any better. $4 for 1 small taco? The cost in 8-2025 was just silly.

Very authentic experience Great food and very diverse menu The food was great The cost was inexpensive Highly recommend Line was long

Usually the way to tell if a place has good food is if it’s filled with locals or police... This place has both! It was fairly busy when I stopped by but it was worth it. The tacos are fresh, and cheap! Admittedly it’s not the easiest place to get to or the best area, but they were worth the drive! I’ll certainly be back!

The place was amazing, and the staff were really friendly. The food is very authentic, fast & friendly. We kept ordering, trying out various dishes. Every time I go to Vegas, I always stop by!

We had the carne asada and pastor street tacos. Great food at great prices. This location gets busy during late-night hours. Worth the wait though!

I’m vegetarian and I usually get a quesadilla with grilled onions cheese . When ordering it’s a bit confusing but just ask the cooks if you could have (whatever you wish to order) some are rude so don’t be offended by anything same service at all locations.

We were looking for a quiet dinner in Las Vegas and came across this fast food restaurant inside a former Service station, located a little off the Strip but still within walking distance of downtown. It offers different types of tacos. We tried several and they were pretty good. Great value for money (which is absolutely not obvious being in Las Vegas) and very fast Service.

Real , Authentic, and Tasty. The service is on point along with the taste. This is the place for tacos! This is a must for you and the family. Aqua frescos served at the fountain! Love the carne asada fries!

I had no what I was expecting when I walked into this restaurant but it was not what I saw. You go up to this counter at the grills which is broken up by meat types. You order your meat and then they ask if you want all the toppings (without telling you the choice). Thankfully I had watched the people in front of me order so I knew what to do. The man on the grill was so fast making everything and then putting on the toppings. It was a mini show. I got one carne asada and one chorizo (no onions). You pay at the cashier across the way and if you want it to go, they put foil over your little paper plate and drop it in a bag. The carne asada was great and flavor. I found the chorizo tasteless. The gauc and salsa were well made and really added to the meal. Cheap too.

We went to the Sunset blvd location across from the Town Square shopping center. At the start its best to go with someone who has already eaten here so that they can guide you through the very strange & chaotic ordering process. You will also need someone to explain to you that items like a tostada or quesadilla is not like any other tostada or quesadilla you've had before. Prices are on the high side considering the small portions and if you come at busy times be prepared to wait in several long lines. Seating area is large but loud. I suspect this place was just to "authentic" for us as we would never order the brain, tripe or eyeball meat selections. Our advice, give them a try at least once. Perhaps you'll love the food but for us we do not foresee a return visit which is sad as they are conveniently located just off Las Vegas Boulevard.

The Real Deal This place has super fresh and quick food. We had the loaded fries with steak , super fresh and great. The tortilla shoes are fresh pressed and Tate great.

Come dressed in jeans or sweats tennis shoes. Not fancy at all but the Tacos are amazing! All kinds of street tacos. Dont expect great service but no worries because the food is worth it if you like Authentic Street Tacos of Tongue , Intestine , Brain, Asada, and Spicy Pork not for the stomach of the weak! We loved it!!!

We found it by chance, a little bit of Mexico in the middle of Las Vegas, the meat is rich and abundant. Depends on what you want to eat it's the line you're going to do, two tacos are enough for a good meal unless they're good toothed! Super recommended!

This place was so stinking good! You walk up to the stalls that have different tacos/items to order, and they make it right there for you and hand it off to you. My favorite tacos were the carne asada, although the Al pastor and chorizo were really good as well. If you’re with a group, do yourself a favor and get the carne asada fries. You will not be disappointed! This is the best place to eat on the Vegas strip!

Hmm, long line, cheap at first glance (hardly any dish costs more than $2.75), but the portions are very small. So you have to eat 4-5 tacos per person at $3 each, so that's $15 for one meal. Very, very tasty tacos. The meat is cut like a kebab. The sauce with it and onions and a little lime on top is very tasty.

The tacos were ok, definitely better a couple of years ago. The customer service from the person serving the carne asada tacos was terrible. The server who was assisting us was amazing. She had an amazing customer service and was very helpful.

We were a bit confused on the ordering process but once we figured it out it was great. When we showed up there were people waiting to get in ( good sign right). Once you get in there is a sign with the menu above the place you order but there are also signs that have different meats in them. So you need to decide what you want to eat and what kind of meat you want and get in that line, if you want different items with different meats you might have to get in all three lines. Once you get all your food you pay the cashier and they have some tables outside.

Do not judge them based on the wait time. The food is delicious very authentic and quality takes time. The mulas are a must the cheese is grilled just right. The steak was cut thinly and didn't have too much fat. The salsas were flavorful but not spicy. The tacos have 2 tortillas, loaded with salsa!! Again do not judge them based on the wait time. Only go if ur willing to wait about an hour.

You always have a relaxing crowd lines everywhere you don't know how to organize well! Very disorganized the matter when ordering and then to pay All people get in the way

I think this is one of the best taco places in Vegas. It's worth the parking, and the lines. Make sure you get more food than you plan to eat the first time around because you'll definitely want to go back for more!

The al pastor tacos were INCREDIBLE. The carne asada tacos were fantastic. The azteca taco was good, and the tongue/intestines ones were bland.

These tacos came in handy basically every night of our trip in Vegas. Hidden gem at the end of the strip, well not too hidden as the line ups are bumping, the music is going, and you can eat everything from your basic asada or chorizo tacos to brains and tongue. You know it's great when the majority of folks there were Latino or major foods lovers. Everywhere should have a taco place open late! Must try!

Tacos el gordo! These are tacos! Try the adobada ! It’s a must! Also the carne asada tacos are really good! Fresh guacamole is added to asada tacos. They also have quesadillas but they are Tiny. Other than that, we go every time we are in Vegas, this location is definitely off strip and more inland so it’s a little drive in. Do not walk from strip here, that’s a long walk! Best location in my book! Authentic tacos! Tacos run about $2 and some change per. They also have fries where you can add whatever meat you like. Example: adobada fries 🤤 bomb.com!

They're not the best tacos I've ever had, but they're not bad. Value for money, a little expensive. Very good service and the place was clean

So I hear about this place and had to check it out for myself! The lines are LONG even at 1am. Lots of choices of tacos, pretty authentic. The ambiance reminded me of time spent in Mexico as a kid. Loud music, loud voices, smiling people, and the delightful aroma of Mexican food cooking. Loved it! We waiting in line about 45 minutes for a sampling of different tacos and sopes. The prices are good and the food is second to none! Fun experience, would highly recommend any lover of tacos or Mexican food to stop on in…but be sure you have enough time to wait!

I was having tacos for the first time in my life. As an European I wanted to try them. My buddy lived in Mexico for 2 years and recommended I go to Tacos El Gordo. I was not disappointed! It's too bad I went there on my last day in Vegas otherwise I would eat there every day!! Amazing flavours.

It feels wrong to say but these were my favorite tacos yet! Can't wait for my next work trip to swing by this place.

We had agood moment at the most famous taco spots Vegas recomended by afriend Gil Pamas indeed it was fun coz i was craving for taco ,we ordered taco de pollo n it was really fingure licking ,best service and great waiters around

Very popular restaurant, very busy - therefore extremely noisy. We were a little hungry - we don't know much about Mexican cuisine, but we didn't really like it - and it was more expensive especially for what we ate.

The Al Pastor Tacos very bad, burned on the outside and raw on the inside, the tortillas are made soups, overrated

Authentic taco's, freshly made to order. A great lunch spot with plenty of booth's available to sit and eat. We had taco's, and fries and it was really good, we didn't even know this place was here until we saw it on you tube and decided to try, we are glad we did.

Near our off-the-strip hotel we saw a long line at this drive-thru place in the middle of the week so we thought we should check out where the locals eat. Great choice for meat eaters-- not a good choice for vegetarians. On the menu: chicken, ground beef and plenty of organ meats done in an authentic street taco/burrito Mexican-style. Yes, long lines, but they have a good assembly line set up so the line moves quickly. This is a chain with several stores around LV. They are open late.

To start off there was a huge line, so therefore there was a long wait. I was starving and desperate to eat some tacos, but I was upset and disgusted by what I got served. Never in my life have I been served meat that looked like it was on the grill for 5 minutes, so disgusting. To top it off there was terrible customer service. Super expensive for me to get meat served with lots of fat and cold by the time I got to eat them, instead I had to throw everything away. The way they serve you was like if a plate was just thrown at you! I could have walked away but I do respect some people hard work and I do not plan to go back and throw my money away there ever again.

Went there with the family to have some of the best tacos in Vegas as they would state in the tour, the tacos were good, however, when I went to the cashier area, asked for salt and salsa, I was given an itty bitty container, we were six and were eating 30+ tacos that evening, anyone who likes tacos knows that you need a generous amount of salsa, so one of the ladies was very rude, I asked for some extra salsa and she yelled at me “I already gave you salsa” To which I pointed out that we were many, then she raised her vice again “You should’ve asked for it before, now you’ll have to pay for it” That’s what got me pissed, at $3.50-$5.00 a taco, these don’t come cheap, so I turned around and had my meal, that kind of service kills the customer base, now I had a second round at Tacos El Pastor, right next to this one, the service was way better.

Had the carne asada tacos and pork tacos, both really good and a fair price. Fries were good too. Plenty of free parking. Good sodas and a few special drinks.

If you are in Vegas, YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT to this taco place. Their Al Pastor tacos are the best that I have ever had. Their salsas are amazing also.

The epitome of culinary excellence in London, featuring exquisite cuisine, a delightful ambiance, and an accommodating staff. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment for your dining experience.

We love stopping at Tacos El Gordo whenever were in Vegas. The have authentic Mexican food. It's delicious & reasonably priced. If you love tacos you need to stop by.

The restaurant enters opposite the Hotel & Casino "Resorts World" and is next to a Ross. As the heat enters it is unbearable. The issue of ordering food is quite confusing as they have different lines to order and then another line to pay. The shepherd's tacos and asada was not good at all, the guacamoles without flavor and with appalling texture. However, the tongues were exquisite. In conclusion, nothing to do with Mexican Tacos...but it gets you out of trouble

Being from San Diego, I’ve had my share of good Mexican. I’ve gotta say, this place is right up there. It’s pretty authentic and tastes great. I was the only Asian guy there, pretty much everyone else was Hispanic. What does that tell you! It’s well worth the trip if you like authentic street tacos with all the fixings.

Visited for lunch and had to wait a very long time in order to get our food. It was good but as usual small so if you need a belly full, buy at least 3 tacos!

Tacos were extremely cheap (2.40 each) and tasted really delicious! We came here at around 10 am, and we were also able to get a seat really quickly. All of the ones we ordered tasted delicious.

We were looking for food on our way out of town and took a chance here. It doesn’t look like much from outside but inside was a wonderful experience of watching them make our food, lots of fresh ingredients, and very nice staff.

Delicious tacos handmade tortillas great customer service We had the carne asada tacos and shred the carne asada fries. Lots of food and very delicious. Highly recommend

We ordered about 30 tacos. My compadre was asked how many salsas and said 3 please and the lady said " I'll give you 2" So why ask and why so stingy with the salsa? Obviously not enough salsa for 30 tacos. Neither Customer service or tacos were good. Never again ! Spent more for these tacos than the Steak and Lobster dinner we had earlier!

I asked my Lyft driver where the good food is here on the strip. He recommended this place so me and my other 3 companions went. The line out the door was about 20+ people deep. As you approach the building you can see that’s just outside. There were another 25-30 people waiting in line inside. We read some good reviews so we waited. It took about an hour to get our food. None of us were impressed. The food was very bland. Maybe I’m too spoiled eating tacos from all over the country but I will say the locals seemed to love it. If your expecting anything close to a traditional American taco try somewhere else. I’ve eaten at Mexican restaurants and never had tacos like that. We all got 2 each and we all gave our second taco to the homeless guy outside.

From the reviews we expected to be knocked out by the tacos at Tacos El Gordo - we were not. We found the carne asada flavorless and the chorizo dry. The cabeza was best - suadero was soggy. Al pastor ok. The experience was fun but have had better street tacos elsewhere.

Amazing authentic street tacos! Everything is prepared right in front of you. You stand in line depending on what meat you want and then order how many you want and they prepare them right there. Then move on to the next line and get more. Definitely record if you are looking for amazing pre or post drinking tacos

We had different varieties of tacos. All were excellent and very tasty and fresh ingredients. Our favorites were the pork and chorizos.

Tacos el Gordo is a great cheap eat in Vegas. Authentic delicious Mexican food. We visited here in April 2019 and will definitely revisit whenever we are back in Vegas.

This location I hear is better than the "strip" location. They have parking as it is in a shopping plaza. They have 3 lines. Each line has a different item to order. The most popular is their "Al Pastor" They have a huge trompa. That allows for a nice crunchy taco. They put a traditional toppings of onion and cilantro. The limes are in a fridge in the dining area. The other protein choices are amazing also. I made plans around lunch here. It is that good.

Tacos El Gordo is awesome! It’s one of the most affordable spots on the Strip, and their tacos are excellent. They cut the meat off large slabs right in front of you and dress up the tacos. I would highly recommend the pork.

The tacos are delicious. They make their own tortillas and are constantly tending to the meats. They have different lines for different tacos. We went in the evening and the place was packed. It took over 30 minutes to get the food. The good thing is once you order your food comes quickly. No veggie options.

I was so looking forward to the best tacos ever, everyone I knew that had been to tacos el gordo and people I follow online were all recommending tacos el gordo....... boy was I disappointed and so were my "white" friends....... tasteless, not much meat, no sauces, disgusting! I can't believe how many people I saw in there..... I thought forsure it would be good, atleast better than where I live and I live in Canada... I'll eat my tamales, pupusas and tacos up here thank you very much. Shame shame shame

This place is awesome. Best tacos I ever had in Vegas !!! Loved the variety and the fact that their carne asada is actually made on charcoal grill instead of gas. I ended eating so many tacos I could barely walk. Their pastor is great, but for me, the carne asada and lengua were the best !!! Can’t wait to eat there again.

Taco 🌮 size got super small. We did enjoy them. The tacos taste great. We just wished that the company would go to the regular size.

This was recommended by two people we met. It was very popular as many people were waiting outside before it open. You order and find a table after you get your food. You paid at the place where you get your water or soft drinks. Everyone who we spoke with raved about this place but I think it was over rated. It was not cheap and I was not impressed with the taste or quality of the food. The meat was dry and the vegetables were not fresh.

Heard a lot about this restaurant so decided to stop in as a family. Lines weren’t too long but if you don’t go early you may be waiting awhile. We ordered a variety of menu options. The beef was good, but the pork seemed to have a lot of fat in it. Your order is placed up front and then payment is taken behind on the side. Service was fast.

Delicious, well attended, at the point we went we were able to sit down. It is self-service, highly recommended, we tried mules and asada/pastor vampires, delicious flavors. The price is U$7

I read where people have waited in long lines for this The tacos were good, but the experience is confusing and really expensive. Just couldn’t get over the cost

This place is all about name, I ordered head, tongue, pastor and suadero tacos and none of them had any flavor. I don't recommend them at all. An apology for the place but that's how it is.

Better than anything on the strip hands down, friendly staff and you know it’s good when all the trades people eat there. Recommend hands down

Our family went to Tacos El Gordo for dinner one night while in Las Vegas. It is on the strip close to the Encore hotel. There is free parking which is a plus. We went about 4 pm and while it was busy we didn’t have to wait long. I have seen pictures of much longer lines out the door if you go later at night. Ordering is different than conventional restaurants as there are specific lines based on what type of meat you are ordering. I wasn’t familiar with all the choices they offered so I enjoyed trying new things. I thought the food was great and really enjoyed the experience. It was a nice break from all the restaurants within the resorts in Las Vegas.

one of my all time favourite tacos spots. as you walk in, you order your tacos at a different kitchen spot depending on the filling of your tacos. anything from beef tongue to cow’s head tacos. a casual dining experience, dished up on trays, grab a table, have a bite to eat and then crack on with the las vegas nights. the only thing missing from this establishment… no cold beer to wash down the spicy tacos with.

These taco’s are the best. close to hotel circus circus. Fast service , very busy , most famous place

Anazing tacos! Very authentic. Worth a stop after seeing a show at Resort World. Atmosphere is more of a fast food place, but the tacos make up for it.

Waited almost 2 hours for a cold greaseless steak taco. Not worth the hype. I definitely would not recommend or eat here again.

Authentic Mexican that’s relatively cheap, especially for Vegas! If you like authentic Mexican I would recommend it but if you like more of the American version of Mexican food it might not be for you

The food is alright. In my opinion this location is overrated. The lines are long and the workers seem to be working towards getting people out of the lines. Very difficult to find a spot to sit. If you haven’t tried it I would probably just go once if you’re feeling Mexican food.

Ordered the carne asada tacos…very bland unseasoned steak topped with a bland salsa onions and cilantro. Wasn’t terrible, but absolutely NOT worth the hype. They’re more focused on quantity than quality, but I assume with the volume of people that walk through the doors the business model works. Most will never visit again as they’re tourists. They get their money and move on. We were perfect examples of that.

The tacos were absolutely delicious! We tried most of the menu and everything tasted great. The hot sauce had a nice heat to it. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. We will definitely visit again the next time we’re in town.

Great pork tacos. Everything is clean. Cheapest good food on the strip.waking distance from Resorts world.

This is for the people that have given this place an excellent review.you must have never had real street tacos before. 1st. No salsa bar... stingy on the sauce. Not much taste . Just very mediocre at best. I recommend trying another place. I thought it sucked

Needs more variety & options por favor!! Not everyone eats carne solamente. Especially for Las Vegas.

I waited over an hour in the drive thru. People leaving reviews are saying "worth the wait" and "rate the food, not the wait," but there is no excuse to wait for 6 tacos from 11 pm to 12:30 am. Absolutely pathetic no matter how good they are.

Very good. The place was amazing, and the staff were really friendly. I personally recommend this place, because this was a really great place

Just like in Tijuana! Excellent shepherd and roast!! Sauces are not spicy for gringo audiences!! There are Jarritos and Apple

Soooooo good we would drive 4.5hrs just for this. The way these guys make tacos for you is true art. The sauce and salsa oh my. Get messy and eat there damn tacos with your hands so you can appreciate what true food tastes like

Great food, Great value made fresh in front of your eyes. Such fast service. A counter with multiple meat options for different tacos and wraps. Very good prices for The Strip. Seems to be a popular place for locals. Also no expectations of a 20% tip!

Great authentic tacos with shorter lines than the strip location on Las Vegas Blvd. Friendly efficient staff.

great tacos, the asada was crispy on the outside and so flavorful. they gave me extra piñita and cebollita asada. all the tacos I ate were awesome, the tostadas were LOADED and the service was good, the guys were so nice and everyone spoke spanish wich is great.

This is the place to get tacos in Vegas! Anytime of day or night is perfect for these authentic tacos. Love the al pastor tacos. Service is very good. Prices are inexpensive. Don’t worry about the long customer lines because they move customers really fast. Must try in Las Vegas.

We heard so many great reviews and comments about this place. The food was terrible. Zero flavor and the meat was so dry. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Delicious carne asada tacos - the quesadillas were also delicious- a bit messy to go - if getting food to go make sure you stand in the line for takeout vs in restaurant dining

Authentic Tijuana style taco they have all the exotic meats line buche tripa served on corn tortillas it's always packed and food full of flavor

Very tasty and there are many types reasonably priced Staff and customers are kind and friendly とても美味しいく、リーズナブルな値段で店員さんもお客さんも親切でフレンドリーです。 種類も数も選べる ラスベガスに行ったらまた行きたい

Taco Tuesday was a hit here. Great Tacos, quick service, and nothing to complain about! Drive thru, to-go, or limited dine in available.

Authentic Mexican food that is delicious and adorable! I was in town for a RE/MAX convention and after eating on the strip for days, this was a wonderful change of pace! Loved it!!

Amazing tacos!! Wait was long and 100% worth it. I loved that they had different things like: stomach, eye, tongue, head. So good. They do have partitions on the table. I think if I come with someone, I should be able to eat with them. But it was actually kind of funny. I loved this place.
No frills but damn delicious!
Most authentic and delicious tacos I have had in a long time. Prices are good, food is deeply satisfying. So so good.... just go, we went at midnight on our last night In Vegas because it was recommended to us.... amazing!
