Drove a 45min drive just to see what the rave was all about. And his place did not disappoint at all. I got 5 tacos for less than $10.

Authentic Mexican tacos

This isn't a place you will just find - you will have to seek it out. However it is a very good find once you get there. We walked in one weekday lunchtime and we were the only non-Mexicans there, which personally I absolutely love. This to me shows it is an authentic Mexican restaurant and not bothered about any tourist trade. We both ordered the Pastor tacos, 3 each. After we ordered, a massive bowl of homemade salsa and chips turned up, which was excellent. The tacos were very good. Tasty, great flavours and with a good amount of heat. We added extra with the green and red sauces which were placed on the table. The tortillas were excellent soft but with a slight crisp, after they had been on the grill. They were definitely authentic and i'd happily recommend the restaurant to a certain type of people!

North Side Tacos!

Great tacos very spicy red salsa, green salsa is mild. No beer, limited refreshment choices. Do not accept cards so carry cash. Also tip the "parking attendants". Awsome place just for tacos.

Delicious and fair priced

By Jaime C |

Tacos al pastor are the best, and chips and great warm salsa are always free. Great place for informal eating, a bit noisy, but that is not a big problem when you are munching on a great taco plate!

High priced for quality

Tanto que cobran para dar la salsa más pequeña no friegen! Charging way to much to give the tiniest salsa! What a shame!

My FAVORITE

I could seriously eat Paisano's tacos everyday. I love the salsa that they bring. It is extremely spicy, but it's so good that I don't want to stop eating it. Service can be a little slow sometimes, but they get busy. Inexpensive and delicious.

Great Tacos

I love going to Paisanos. There tacos are great and so are the sauces. Beware of the red sauce, it is very hot. The chips and salsa are good as well.

If you want authentic with BOMB chips and salsa, and tacos that will make your mouth water.... This is the place for you. Price isn't all that great, but the taste more than makes up for it. BAM!

Late lunch. Early dinner.

It was Awesome!! Very yummy tacos and salsa! Remember to take cash, for they only accept cash. We had fajita tacos and pastor tacos with refried beans and rice. Kids loved it too

Amazing street tacos in Dallas

By Oscar C |

I’ve been coming to El Paisano since high school. These are my favorite street tacos in Dallas. Al pastor or beef are the way to go, just walk up to the order window and let them know how many. They also have Jarritos and other glass bottle sodas. The red salsa is very spicy and really good. It’s cash only so make sure you come prepared.

Real Authentic Mexican Food

I love going to the place to get my authentic Mexican tacos. They taste like I am getting them straight from Mexico! They only take cash so bring lots of it!

Good food, reasonable prices.

This place gets very busy! Limited menu but still plenty to choose from. Basic tables and flatware. No licensed bar. Good, honest food at a reasonable price.

Wow! The best tacos I've had so far

By Tim O |

Their barbacoa tacos are absolutely addicting. Everytime I eat here I order at least 5 of them. Also their chips and salsa are awesome.

Addicted

By Tracy C. |

This place is hard to not get addicted to. The tacos are so amazing. ANY and ALL!!! The hot sauce they offer take each bite just over the edge like you can't imagine. It's pretty small inside so I suggest get there early or go through the drive thru!

Just... so good!!! Busy, but so worth the wait!

No pictures this trip. Maybe next time cause I didn't really go to review :) I went for the adventure! My husband made it a surprise and what a great surprise. Rico's tacos were the hit of the entire place from what I could see. I ordered tres pollo tacos con cilantro y cebollas (3 chicken tacos with cilantro and onions). Mi refresca was dr.pepper (cans) husband got tres tacos, tinga, fajita, y pollo. He let me try the tinga, so good! The fajita was gone without any type of sharing lol (he inhaled it!) A very good visit to a new place. Great food. Parking is a bit difficult, but there was a nice guy helping. All in all a good visit. No problems. Will be back for those heavenly tacos.

Don't be fooled but its appearance

By David H |

This little out of the way place looks like its worn out, and the guys helping you park a little concerning but it's not its amazing. The salsa is warm, flavorful, and spicy, the first couple bites might fool you so be carful. This was my first visit with a friend and he ordered for me, street tacos, delicious, and very affordable.

My favourite place to eat in Dallas

By yoshikaleb |

The tacos. Every time I'm in Dallas I come here for tacos and agua fresca. I don't know how they cook the tortillas but I could eat them all day. And the al pastor meat is perfection. I always get a mix of tacos de al pastor and de fajita with everything on. Just delicious, you can't beat it. And extremely cheap as well. I come to Dallas about once a year and I always always look forward to coming to El Paisano. The place is pretty "downmarket" but that doesn't stop the food from being delicious. Also may be worth noting, I never tried speaking English there so I don't know if the waitresses speak English.
