Very tough/chewy steak. Also, there chairs and tables make ridiculous noise when moved. Makes for a very loud experience if busy.

Great Grub!

By Lisa H |

We went to Tad's after doing a bus tour of San Francisco and Sausalito and we were starving! My (grown up) kids had the fatburgers and I had a sandwich. Really tasty, the fries were delicious too. Washed down with a beer (me) and soda. Reasonably priced, no table service (but that's not a bad thing in my book). Would visit again.

RUDE!

By MMS_LouisvilleKY |

Food was mediocre at best and when they got my order wrong they wanted to argue about it, ended up admitting they got it wrong but somehow still told me it was my fault! Bathrooms were disgusting- in desperate need of attention.

Gerat Value

By Matt S |

If you're expecting a fine-dining, white-tablecloth steak dinner, Tad's isn't for you. But if you are looking for a quick, reasonably priced, no-frills, yet tasty, steak dinner, definitely stop here! Tad's isn't much to look at inside. It is very open, almost cafeteria-like (except of the upstairs area, which I didn't see). As a matter of fact, even the service is cafeteria-like! You place your order at the counter, and then when done, you're called up to put your meal on your tray, to take back to your table. Basic Steak, baked potato, toasted garlic bread, iceberg salad, along with some bottled beer selections. Nothing fancy, but it was a good dinner, and for being in heart of San Francisco, very reasonably priced! Tad's is definitely a good option for a hearty, tasty meal.

It's a diner. Embrace it.

I was in San Francisco for a conference a couple weeks ago. After spending an unholy amount of money for a breakfast at my hotel around the corner, I started looking around for other options. I was initially put off by the place because of its garish sign out front. However, I was running from point A to point B and needed a quick bite to eat. I went into Tad's for lunch and had a burger and fries. It came with a salad on the side. This place is pretty much an old school restaurant that floats somewhere between a diner and a sit down place. It's not fancy and the place looks like it was well worn already by the 1970s. However, its fast, efficient, and great quality for the price. Was the burger the most amazing one I've ever had? No, but it was very good, cooked exactly to my specifications and the fries on the side were good. For a 20 minute meal at lunchtime, it was perfect. They did a very good job. I was impressed enough that I wandered over on my last day in the city for breakfast. I got the country fried steak and eggs. The eggs were cooked exactly right. They did a good job. The sausage gravy on the steak was excellent. The toast was nice as well. Honestly, the steak tasted a bit... industrial, but the price was good and the other breakfast components helped balance out the steak's shortcomings. Should you go out of your way to eat here? Honestly, I'd say no. I wouldn't go halfway across the city to eat here. However, if you are in the Union Square area and want a solid bite to eat, I would absolutely recommend it. The place is a solid option with reasonably priced food that is better than many of the other things around it.

"Good Breakfast"

By Sue H |

This was our first breakfast of our vacation and was very enjoyable. Service was quick, breakfast was tasty and filling, good value for money. Not too busy when we arrived but got very busy after. We had a full breakfast with toast, had a choice of meats and eggs, some had sausage, some bacon, both were very good.

Spectacular Dinner

By Marina Baldin |

We had dinner at Tad’s Steakhouse and it was simply magnificent! We ordered the main dish of the house, which came a churish style meat, accompanied by fried potatoes, a delicious salad with sauce (I chose the blue cheese sauce) and a little toast. Everything was wonderful, no doubt a delicious experience! Plat + coke + tax 39USD

Better not!

By Gaby |

This is not a steakhouse, but rather a quick snack. Mc Donalds offers a much higher quality of stay. The food is mediocre and overpriced. Tad's famous steak is a flat piece of beef that must be doubted to be Angus meat. The frieze tasted rancid, the house wine was on the verge of inedibility. The staff was very friendly - after all!

Good food, good value

By Heather M |

You order at the counter from the menu posted on the wall, once your order is taken, your food is cooked on the grill. Kind of reminded me of a diner, but the décor wasn't diner like. The food was hot, fresh and good. I would certainly stop in again the next time in am in San Francisco!

Basic dinner

By NHDad |

Basic menu, steak was good -certainly not value pricing. Salad is mostly lettuce but the dressing was good.

Filled a spot

By Escape-overseas |

After a long flight and a walk around Union Square we stopped for bite to eat before heading back to the hotel for an early night. A basic eatery, with fast service and reasonably priced meals, more a sort of cafe type restaurant for the budget conscious. Steaks correctly cooked to order.

The Place for Breakfast in SF (and why not)

By boeingAde |

Found Tad's Steakhouse for Breakfast first morning in SF, just a short stroll from our hotel and the Powell street cable car stop. It was fairly busy with locals (I assume) and I'm not surprised. Good service, great food, always hot and fresh and reasonably priced (Lets face it everything has gone up) Omelettes are good with a good choice of filling, pancakes are massive, so ended up having b'fast here 5 out of 7 mornings and 1 dinner (Great steak and again reasonably priced) a lot busier at night. its a b'fast diner, sports bar come dinner eatery - order at the till they bring the food to you. When you find a good place you keep going back and I will be going back if i'm ever back in SF for sure.... Having left SF for Las Vegas after a week, Tad's was definitely missed

Big portions!!

By PaulaGalvin |

This is a regular, downtown sort of place, lots of locals more than tourists. I had the BLT which would have been fine except that it was fried. My daughter had pancakes which were okay. Pies looked stale, was not impressed

Strictly for non veg and american food lover

By dhruvdp |

Its typical american food. Only Non veg. Steaks and colas and burgers. quick service. Strict no no if you are not into burgers and fries and/or are a vegan/vegetarian.

Aweful chicken, Burger ok

By Johannes V |

Sadly the chickensandwich of my girlfriend was just aweful. Bad meat, not done and fat contained slices of bread. Dont take the chickensandwich. My burger was ok.

Breakfast two days running

By Wendy E |

We enjoyed our breakfast so much we came back for a second the next day. Plenty of choice, good size portions and hot. Plenty of freshly made coffee which kept coming. Great American diner style.

Tads

By Logan R |

I got a hamburger that tasted awesome. I loved how amazing the service was. The overall experience was great and totally worth the while.

Not to be missed

By Nigel N |

This place is #201 out of 4241 in SF. Don't waste your time by doing the first 200 - come here first. Steak is cooked to order in front of you, jacket potato or salad with dressing (Ranch is best) and a carafe each for very few dollars. Clean, warm and friendly. Tried the New York restaurant, mistake - you can't beat the real thing. One of the top reasons for visiting SF, wish I was there but it's 8000 miles from here in UK. I SHALL RETURN!

Good, honest people and great food

By Jules |

We had brunch here as a family. The servers were friendly and had no problem customizing a burger for my fussy daughter. She thought it was delicious! My tuna melt was great and so were my husband's eggs and hash browns. The server accidentally charged me twice for one of the meals and I would never have known. The manager came over to tell me and refunded me straightaway. I really appreciate that kind of honesty. We're tourists and could have left none the wiser. Full marks!

Food average but they charged us twice with some BS about my card not working then my husband used his card.

By JohnFamily04 |

When we check the next morning the same amount (over $92 AUD) was charged to both cards. We returned to the restaurant only to be fobbed off by staff saying it was the banks fault although they couldn’t explain how their till system allowed the same amount to be paid twice. This place is dodgy only eat here if you pay cash.

Good experience

By Emma n |

I arrived with my family mainly because of its location in downtown San Francisco. It is a nice place, at the time we went there were few people so the Service was fast and efficient. Good food but nothing else in the world.

Dry meat

By idancanfi |

We ordered the Tad steak and asked for medium well - it came out totally burnt, amd the meat was just dry ! Lucky for them we were after a long flight and just too tired too complain. The salads are only letuce and too much gravy.

Price food perfectly balanced

By wilhelm |

Great quality for the price, nice and ordinary. No waiter at the table, take menu and order back at the counter. Just a pity that the ice used is from tap water with chlorine.

Great breakfast

By Tony_Julie |

Stumbled across Tads whilst walking around trying to find somewhere for breakfast on our last day in SF. Wish we had found it before. Great place, staff were helpful and food was really good and reasonably priced compared to some other eateries we had seen.

Perfect for a quick meal

By Scubbs |

From their great steaks to their BIG burgers Tad's is a nice place to eat. was a little bummed that they did not have the chili the day I was there but aside from that, no worries. Deserts look very good too.

Tasty Steak dinner at a very reasonable price

By ImaCdnTraveller |

Tad's is a diner-like experience with 'serve yourself' style of service. You order at the cash and then have a seat to wait on your food. The meal was less than $20 for a basic steak, a choice of potato, salad and a piece of garlic bread. For downtown San Fran, that's a very reasonable price! The food was good if not great. One issue with the 'serve yourself' is that once I had ordered at the cash, I asked about water and was waved in the general direction of some plastic glasses and a pitcher. Of the 3 girls there (one was at the cash) the other two were on their phones and typing away. No one really seemed interested in making sure we had what we needed and no one ever came around to check on us while eating our meal. If you're looking for something filling at a reasonable price and don't have an issue serving yourself, then Tad's would be a good choice.

American Diner

By Tracy M |

Busy place with lots of people coming & going. Just what I thought an American Diner would be like. Order meals at counter & than waiters deliver. Prices for what you get is reasonable so if you want a quick easy meal than this is the place to go.

Great place to eat

By Owlincallington |

We would recommend eating at Tads Steakhouse after dining there one evening and going back for breakfast a couple of days later. I did not know what to expect but was really surprised. The food was very tasty and plentiful.

Value steak; watch out for upcharges

By JoesueFree |

My $18 steak turned into $23 with .75 cent slice of cheese and $1.30 bacon bits. Then another .85 cents to refill my $2.49 sprite. Service isn't their forte either, as they primarily want to move people through. I won't go back, but if you want a steak and baked potato on the cheap, this is the only place in the area.

Ok but not a steakhouse.

By Julian C |

Received a recommendation for this restaurant so was hopeful of a decent meal. The steak menu was limited so opted for the tads famous steak. Very disappointing piece of meat large bone dominated the steak. Not particularly tasty. Skin on fries were good and others who had chicken club said that was very nice. Salad also good, only rated 3 as I was hopeful of a good steak which it wasn’t . If I had been grading the others in my group who enjoyed their meal would be slightly higher. But as a whole 3 it is.

A classic

By toddbP9048WO |

Been going there since 1975. A timeless classic of a place even though it has been moderized a bit. Good food efficient service. A go to place when downtown.

We thought we would take a chance...

By SouthernBelle |

The last night of our trip, we wanted something quick and inexpensive. I saw Tad's since it was very near our hotel in Union Square and was intrigued when I read a little about it. It is more of a diner than a steakhouse and you order at a counter. We all tried the steak which came with baked potato, salad and garlic bread. It just wasn't that great...the steak (there's only one kind and I'm not positive what it was...possibly ribeye) was grisly/fatty and a little tough. The potato was meh. I didn't taste any garlic on the bread. The atmosphere was what I expected and I like the hole-in-a-wall feel as well as the fact that it's been around for a long time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the meal was overpriced for what we got. I think I would have enjoyed breakfast there better since most of the menu was breadfast items.

Great food, super friendly staff

By Traci H |

I consider myself lucky our hotel was right next to Tad’s, otherwise we probably wouldn’t have gotten to try it. I’m not usually a breakfast person or a steak person, but since it’s called Tad’s steakhouse I got the hamburger steak and hashbrowns for a super late breakfast meal. Soooo delicious. The hamburger steak was cooked in a garlic butter sauce (splurge on the grilled mushrooms if you’re a mushroom fan. The portion size does not disappoint) and was extremely juicy. I thought the prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the area of town we were in (my hamburger steak was only 6.99). Definitely put this on your restaurant stop spot.

Okay

By Mary Florence V. Mariveles |

Staff on day shift okay, night shift are rude. Food is okay. Right next to our hotel so it is convenient

Late night early morning

By Rw1970 |

Got to SF late after long flight. Tads just across the street from our hotel. We had steaks & burgers which were excellent especially the burgers. Draft beer a "tad" expensive however most imported beers are however overall was good, that good we went for breakfast the next morning! Expect to pay around $50/60 for breakfast for 4 if your visiting Tads unless you want just toast. A great central venue with good food.

Pretty good prices

By Paul H |

Pretty good prices and food. Reasonable for a San Francisco restaurant. I would recommend it for good food within a budget.

breakfast on our amazing San fran trip!

By rachelblue46 |

while we explored union square we come across tads steakhouse and indulged in breakfast, excellent service along with a really tasty brekkie! crispy bacon, french toast, maple syrup, eggs all done to perfection! super yummy! i recommend this place to fill up ready to explore the city! thanks for making our trip great!

Great Value

By epic9990 |

Want a decent non-expensive steak then I could recommend Tad's. A no fuss restaurant. The whole group went for steak and all thought it was excellent. Would recommend.

Still as good as ever!!

By Carole M |

Decent steaks, fab baked potatoes and a slab of garlic bread thrown in!! Steak meal is about $18 now - price hike like everything else in SF - but very worth it. Treat yourself and get some fried onions and mushrooms on top!! Half-chicken from the rotisserie comes with baked potato and garlic bread too and is only about $13. Restaurant is more canteen but it's clean and the food is great - a real winner and I'm already planning my next visit!!

Holiday meal

By James B |

My type of place...for someone who loves a good burger or a steak, fantastic food, one of the best burgers ive had in my life. Soon as we bit into the burger me and my dad said “this is better than any burger we have had in the UK” Hopefully a TADs steakhouse opens in manchester uk at somepoint. Stunning

Fast and filling breakfast

By Alison M |

A group of coworkers and I went to Tad’s for breakfast before a conference and the food was delicious and fast. The sausage was really good and I hear the bacon is good too!

It was ok

By Laura |

We ate at Tad’s on our first night in SF. It is a really casual diner type place where you order your food at the till, they give you a numbered buzzer and you take a seat. The portions were really big and all staff friendly. My husband had the rotisserie chicken which he liked, I had the Tad’s cheesesteak sandwich with avocado. The beef was so bland and had no flavour at all which let it down overall. I wouldn’t return here and I thought it was overpriced for what we got.

Amazing Atmostphere

By Darling19 |

Great food and great service. this restaurant is located in the heart of San Fransico city. this place has a very good menu with so many choices. one last thing is you must try their hot chocolate.

Something for Everyone

By coolio9 |

This mistakenly gets reviewed as a meat and potatoes place. However, I had the Grilled Pacific Salmon and my partner had the chicken salad on sourdough. The Salmon and baked potato was perfectly cooked while the french bread ranks a bit lower. The chicken on sourdough was light on the mayo and the french fries were crispy. We both enjoyed the food and casual atmosphere, and we will return.

Great food at a reasonable price.

By theflyingdoctor |

Close to Union Square and the Powell and Market cable car terminus, this canteen style steak house does some really good food at limited cost - under $100 for 4 (no alcohol) is good for the city centre. The decor ain’t great and comfort levels limited but I have known worse. Service = get it yourself and you will be paged when your order is ready. What is important is what is on the plate. Good tasty quality food in typically American quantities.

Gets the job very well done for breakfast

By markeB8797GD |

Staying near Union Square on vacation and each morning we're checking out a different "casual" spot for basic but filling breakfast. Tad's scores big time. It's certainly a basic cafe kind of place....hole-in-the-wall description would certainly apply. But as often the case like Tad's, the food was solid and at low, low cost. I had the San Francisco omelette....stuffed with ham, mushrooms, peppers and onions. Yummy and very filling. Service was very efficient and friendly. 4 stars!!

SO GOOD

By JUANITA TAHITI |

SO GOOD, DELICIOUS CHICKEN AND CEASAR SALAD. STAFF VERY EFFICIENT. NEAR UNION QUARE CHEAP PLATES ARE GENEROUS LUMINOUS DINING ROOM

Good value, big portions

By Lse1313 |

They prepare all of their limited menu with great flavor! Big portions, inexpensive. Order at counter and carry to table. Worth a stop especially if you are on a budget and even if you’re not.

Tasty breakfast

By Lisa F |

Great breakfast place for those that want a tasty breakfast that fills you up at a reasonable price . I had the San Francisco omelet with potatoes and toast. So good! Service is friendly and prompt. I probably won’t even need to eat lunch today.

Find a better 18$ steak around Union Square...

By Zeblouze |

We had been walking since a long time and were expecting a good steak. Didn't want to sit an hour. Tad's really rules. Good meat, good potaoes .... what else ?!? Yes 2 or 3 things could be better but find a better place near Union Square where a hotdog is around 7,5 + tax .............

If you want a fast steak....

By Paulellwood |

Had been here once before some years ago for breakfast. This time I need a quick dinner and remembered Tads. Ordered the 'famous' steak dish and was not disappointed. Tasted really good especially with mushrooms as a side. Ordering was simple and service good. If you want a fast, good tasting steak look no further.

Good place to Eat!

By rachels81 |

This restaurant is right next to the Hotel Union Square, so it was very convenient to eat breakfast here. Good menu and good breakfast the staff was very friendly.

More like a diner than a steakhouse

By C S |

Lunch for 2 was almost $50. Had to order, sit down and given a paging system to pick up your food like a cafeteria. Staff were direct. Good size portion per order of food. Steak was prepared as requested. Other order was burger and Fries. It wasn't bad but probably wouldn't recommend or go a second time.

Budget, but good value steakhouse

By Ian G |

Stopped by here after a busy day exploring Fisherman's wharf and a bus tour of the city. Very welcome and tasty budget meal at a good price. Steak was perfectly cooked just as I ordered. Fries and salad were nice too. So no complaints.

Amazing breakfast

By Conor B |

Had breakfast here yesterday morning. Had the famous steak and eggs with a side of bacon and my wife had French toast and breakfast combo. Both were excellent and would set you up for the day. The brown toast that came with mine was lovely

Excellent local eatery

By James H |

We had lunch here after a morning in the park. It was close to where the cable car line ended, and we were using the cable car to return to our condo. There appeared to be more locals than tourists. Décor was somewhat like an old-fashion diner. You placed your order as you entered, and you picked up your order when your number was called. We had their hamburger and fries. The hamburger was excellent. Lots of fries. Good value for the money.

Good value, diner food (cafeteria style)

By Bo Deane |

Had a burger, fries, and beer (comes with a small simple salad). Not bad, and affordable for SF prices. Courteous workers were quick to prepare the meal and get your drinks. The burger was cooked exactly as ordered. I would suggest making mayo an option. Also would be nice to offer several cheese options (not that expensive to carry different cheeses and allows better options. Beer choices were fairly good. I might try this place again and try a steak.

Good price, average quality

By Yinon S |

An 11 oz stake for 18$, is a good price however the quality of the meat is fair. The salmon, 18$ is quite small portion, but was much better.

About what I expected, maybe a bit less

By oregonpoppa |

I have lots of dining plans for my week in SF, but I arrived here in afternoon tired and feeling the warmth and sunshine when I dressed for fog and chill. So, I thought I'd try nearby Tad's and have a comparatively economical steak (Tad's "special steak"). Not sure why it's special. It's on the thin side, but tasty. Of course, tasty since it's slathered with salt, seasonings and served with garlic butter. House salad drenched with balsamic vinaigrette. I had no issues with the baked potato. The staff is pleasant. You order and pay at the counter and the food is brought to you. It is what it is.No pretentions otherwise.

I'm regular when I'm in town.

By Terrance L |

This is my go-to spot when I visit the area. The atmosphere is nice. The food and service are great.

Glad it is still there!

By mjt520 |

We have eaten here many times over the years. With so many outrageously priced eateries in this neighbourhood, we're happy to duck in for a regular meal...be it breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Expensive and underwhelming

By jaredg123 |

Busy but clean. No table service. Tasty Salad. I ordered the Pork Chop special. The meat was still pink near the bone and they had run out of Heineken on tap. Extra charge for sour cream and bacon on the baked potato. My wife's Salmon was a very small portion for the price she payed. Next time we will find something off the main street.

Excellent breakfast

By Michael W |

We had a breakfast here and it was truly delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Would 10/10 recommend this place. We will be back for sure.

Great place for the meat & potato lover.

By BlueJean |

Walk up to order; no table service. Limited dinner menu ranges from $13-$19. Grilled steak or salmon, broiled chicken, fried chicken, Caesar salad w/ chicken are dinner options. Also has a variety of sandwiches and traditional breakfast menu 7-12. Soda refills cost $1. Got pretty crowded around 8:00 indicating the locals love it. Not sure I'd agree b/c the menu is pretty boring. But my 'steak and potato' husband loved it, so it gets a 4 on his behalf.

Quick, tasty, great value

By Bluedotih40 |

We had spent the day shopping in SF and whilst other more expensive places might give you high service and plush surroundings, why pay for that when you can get great steak and fries (or lovely jacket potato) for 3 people for the price of one in the posh hole. For those reviewers who mark this place down, be conscious of what you're looking for. Full of locals, in and out with no fuss or pretentions. And my family are really particular about rare steak, and they came away very, very happy.

Best breakfast place

By Rey B |

I call ahead and my breakfast is ready for me when I walk through the door. Nice portions. Worth it. Friendly staff plenty of options to choose from

Breakfast spot

By Anna S |

This is a good breakfast spot near Union Square. We had two breakfasts here and they were plentiful and tasty.

Not for me

By AVMAustralia |

I read the history of Tad’s Grill and am not sure what I expected but I didn’t expect a diner. Our meals were fine and no issue, I had a steak with baked potato and salad. It was great and tasted great and the price was really good. I could understand why people come here because it is a hearty meal and the place was packed. I just didn’t expect to come to a diner and everything was hurried. It’s not table service, you order at the counter and get a buzzer. Salad is in plastic bowls. There are three wines on the menu and only one red, that’s good too. However when my husband asked for the Cab Sav, the gentlemen said, “That’s the red isn’t it?” Made us laugh. It’s the only red and he needed to ask. Just saddened based on the history but I say the food again was very good and it’s more than reasonably priced. I’m no food snob but service is like a fast food place and it’s not what I was looking for.

Delicious

By Myrna A |

Good and delicious food, fast service and price is just right. The restaurant is busy but we still managed to get a table to seat. They have different selections of food on whatever you'ld like to eat.

Poor

By Greg H |

Poor quality junk which after 2 bites we walked out and went to another restaurant . Thrown a menu on entry to the line gave us bad vibes about the place and then the food cane out…. Not good at all

Steak at the Diner

By Conrad N |

This is basically a diner that does a good value steak dinner. No table service, walk up and order - no frills here. The food is not bad, and for the price a good deal. My steak was cooked to my order, if a bit on the dry side. My wife had the hamburger and that was good.

Do yourself a favour & eat at Tad's

By Gaza Jimbo |

After holidaying in NYC & San Francisco for the past month, Tad's has to be one of the best places to eat. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was delicious. Variety was extensive. Prices were very reasonable. Also licensed.

Good steak

By Scott |

Very typical American Steakhouse. Good steak cooked to order. Dining area is relatively clean. Bathroom also relatively clean.

Escaped it before too late

By Omer T |

If service quality and food hygiene are not important for you, this is where you can eat at low prices. But if you are bothered by watching the “chefs” in the open kitchen to grab &organize everything barehanded, try somewhere else.

a must place to eat!

By travelin m |

we were in frisco for 4 days! each day we at either breakfast or dinner there! the staff is extremely polite and willing to serve you! they want to offer you the best service! the food is very good and the prices are reasonable, too!

Quick breakfast location

By Elizabeth E |

Very much a cafe type atmosphere. Service was fast, food was okay, nothing special. Of course, this is SF so not cheap.

Great place for a steak

By daveywavey67 |

Our last night in San Francisco so we treated ourselves. Both of us had the steak meal and extra fries. Most places would ask rare/med/done but not here, they actually tell you how long each side is cooked and you decide. I decided on med/done which turned out perfect. We both enjoyed our steaks and wish we came here on our first night. The atmosphere was very cosy just like a large uk pub.

Old time and unpretentious resto; good steak!

By PQ529 |

We came here for a light dinner, and by that we mean my husband and I will share one steak. Menu is quite intensive so you will have lots of options. Staff were easy but not faux perky. Steak was good. Don't forget to put the sauces they have on each table. Oh and buy extra bread if you can. It is so good. Personally, I like places that are not hoity-toity and not pretentious. This is your old time restaurant and something your city dwelling Grandpa would've probably taken your grandma back in the day. Must try though! Prices are good too.

Very poor service

By beden |

Very poor service. Asked the cashier if I could already go to a table as I was carrying a baby, while my husband ordered. She refused.

Great steak in a hurry

By Jodie Jones |

The concept of this place is great , it's fast food steak in effect . It's no frills and only 1 type of steak but what they have is delicious. Comes with a baked potato and a salad and the steak is huge . I added on mushrooms and a soda and it came to a very reasonable $25 ! Not fancy but worth a visit . Only slight Criticism is staff could do with being a bit friendlier as they were pretty robotic !

Nice steak

By Darin C |

We went for the Tads special cut steak meal. Lovely steak, garlic bread, jacket potato and salad. Inside of the diner is okay and you can't complain about the price.

Mediocre

By Scott |

Mediocre steak, but fast service and predictable flavor. This is definitely not high quality food, but it isn't terribly disappointing. However, do yourself a favor, and don't go to the bathroom. Bathroom is filthy and covered in graffiti.

Good for a quick dinner.

By chiffon2016 |

As with all things, you get what you pay for. We had a quick dinner of steak, baked potato, garden salad. It was just fine for the price so don't expect fancy or frills. It was a busy place and the staff were hustling to serve and clear tables.

Best T-bone

By Alicia P |

Excellent place to eat an excellent meet. It is a perfect piece of meet with two complement (salad that you can select by six options and potato with butter and bread). In addition you can drink beer, wine or soda.

Excellent breakfast

By Ian M |

Breakfast there today (June 11/17). First time visit and enjoyed it thoroughly. Pancakes as they should be, bacon & cheeses omelette and home fries all good (fries get a shout out here, made from fried baked potatoes - have to be sampled to appreciate how good they are!). You order at the counter and pick up when ready (no big deal) given quality of food and decent pricing - this restaurant offers great value for money in an expensive city! Recommend and will return.

No longer what it was

By LieblingsUrlauberIn Well-& Business |

After the restaurant moved from Union Square to a side street and changed operators, the atmosphere and charm suffered.

Great place for Breakfast

By Sarah B |

Great place for breakfast. Good portions and quick friendly service. The sourdough toast is good but the butter portions are very small .

Deserves 5 stars!

By Vicki B |

Great food for the price. Plant burger was delicious and was gluten free too. Also had gluten free bread. Wings were amazing as were the loaded Tads tater tots!

Good steak and burgers

By tj r |

Enjoyed my burger here, went for the 1/3lb which was plenty for a lunch time, comes with cheese and pickles, lettuce and tons and a side salad, pretty reasonable for SF and beats fast food burgers hands down!

Fast food type of steak

By holmiumz |

Well, given the price and pace (service), I must say it worth every dollar. Tried steak which is grilled to standard and tasty too! However the salmon just too plain. And the sides of garlic bread and potato are plain and simple. If you looking for a steak without burning your pocket, this is the place to go.

Dont go here! Steak taste water!

By Henrik T |

What the heck? Overpriced steak, taste like water. No taste at all, no sauce. The staff is NOT serviceminded. I will suggest Burgerking or MC donalds instead of this.

OK for Breakfast - not for dinner

By Bill S |

Hotel Union Square has no restaurant and Tad's is next door. They serve nice breakfast - classic items only. Dinner was a small salad in a plastic bowl and the famous steak is a scab of beef - not worth the $25 each - lots of other options close by. No table service for dinner - order at the counter, get a tray and wait. Service was friendly and prompt.

Good Homely food at good prices

By Anntec |

We wandered around near our hotel to find something reasonably priced . Took a while but we stumbled across tads . Had quite a few locals in there so figured it must be ok. They have salmon , steak or pork chops all with salad a huge jacket potato and garlic bread for well under $20. We ordered at the counter and waited about ten minutes for the food to arrive . Only criticism was that like all salads we have had in America so far they come with the dressing already on them and some people like me prefer no dressing but I guess I should have requested a salad that was without dressing . Would definitely go back there . Also the girls at the counter were very polite and cheery.

Childhood throwback food

By Tonya F |

The concierge at my hotel sent me to Tad's after a long day of flying, as it was only a few blocks from the hotel and I wanted to have a relatively quick and easy dinner. There is nothing fancy about the place, basically like a cafeteria. The food is straightforward, you get what you ask for and it's done the way you asked for it to be done. The standard steak, baked potato, bread and bowl-of-lettuce salad reminded me of family cookouts when I was a child, and nostalgia is never a bad thing.

AMAZING!

By KellyAvery11 |

This restaurant is incredible! Service was excellent! We each started off with a creamy cup of hot chocolate! Between the 4 of us, we ordered the best country fried steak and eggs, Farmhouse omelet, and sour dough French toast! We will definitely be back...maybe for supper!

Steak at reasonable $

By Peggy C |

This was a take-out order. The steak was very good and large for the price! Service was quick and friendly. And baked potato was very good!

Unimpressed

By Freddie T |

We had our lunch at Tad's Steaks. We ordered steaks but were unimpressed. The steaks were on the dry side. They should really offer butter to go with the baked potato.

Fast delicious breakfast!

By Trish H |

We had breakfast here twice. Service was great and the food was very good. It's not super trendy which was fine by me since it also didn't require me standing in line to get a seat.

Quick Lunch

By 793casper |

Open for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. This is restaurant is reasonable. Had a nice char broiled burger with fries & salad. You walk up to the counter & your pager tells you to pick up your order.

fast and good

By Theofiel |

We like the approach, food and service were good and waiting time is very short. No queing, Prices are OK, good value for money.

Inexpensive, fast, not gormet but good

By jonthethird |

Had Tads "famous steak" which I could not find what is famous about it. It is a NY strip steak, with potato, and salad. You order then sit until they call you up to pick up your meal. Ambiance is early cafeteria, decor spartan., But, a good meal at a decent price. If you are looking for a fast dinner, this is a good place to go

Tads Steak House.

By snugglescat2010 |

Hmm. Had to try it. $18 for a piece of steak, really not worth it. No taste and dry. Would not go back

5 star of course

By Fabio G |

The food is just fire for this cheap price! Also the food is just fantastic and there is a pretty good service.

Ok

By Yuval V |

Took the pork chops (special dinner). Quite big, and tastes ok. I had better, but also had worse....

Lovely Diner with good food

By K201364 |

We ate breakfast at Tads. It seemed to be used by all types of people and the food was prompt, hot and tasty. Good service from the staff and a clean tidy diner.

Excellent eatery

By Hermes0 |

Looked for somewhere to eat in Powell St and walked past this but went back and went in. Excellent choice of food and generous helpings. They give you a bleeper when its ready to collect. Ordered two Caesar salads which were enormous! These were so tasty so I just took my time and ate it all. Not overpriced.

Great food, great price!

By Justin R |

Went here on a TA recommendation and we weren't disappointed. 2x Tad's Special Cut Steaks, 2x Beers = $52 We went to a fancy restuarant last night and spent 4x that!! Don't leave SF without trying Tad's.

Get what you pay for

By John M |

Get what you pay for . Food7 was good tasty fast and reasonably clean . My freak was exactly how ordered it . It was nice and tasty. The bread was ok . I got mushrooms from t but they were slightly burnt . Overall good for the price I would come back and recommend it

Great breakfast and burger / steak joint

By Andrew R |

We originally had dinner here and some some good burgers, went back for breakfast a few days later and had an equally good meal Ham and cheese omelette was very good, short stack of pancakes also recommended

Breakfast

By Amy15 |

The breakfast at Tad's was reasonable and very good. Didn't get a chance to eat other meals there but they sure smelled good

Neat place, great breakfast

By Sheryl T |

This restaurant is near Union Square, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. But only got chance to do breakfasts here during my stay. Forget your hotel breakfasts, go to Tads! Simple, tasty classics...

Yum

By TJ222 |

Who cares what Tad means?! Fab steak, probably like a T bone - but so tender. Cooked to perfection. Grilled cheese and ham sandwich was good too. Yes it’s a traditional diner, but this means your not paying extortionate amounts for slow table service. Will be back for breakfast ! No need to pay more !

Tad's steak

By Harold M |

Simply amazing, we were looking for a cheap and great place to have lunch after a trip from Costa Rica. Loved the flavor, the service and ambient, highly recommended. Had the tad's steak for about $26 and there was no trouble changing the french fries to salad.

Excellent experience

By pdcs4 |

Excellent traditional breakfast and steak house Very resonable price and excellent service. The breakfast is do big you could last 2 days on the portions I don't know what it is but the yanks love us brits. Remember the more polite you are the more giving they are!

cheap dinner

By Glenn W |

Tad's is a self service steakhouse. You order and pay then you get a buzzer which rings/vibrates when your order is ready. I ordered the special steak. You get a small salad, baked potato, garlic bread and your steak.

Good steak

By Scott |

Ribeye steak met expectations, but was nothing special. Salad and fries were good. Service was fast and friendly. I like the new location and the much more open architecture inside. Restaurant was relatively clean. Employees wearing masks.

Great value meal and draft lager

By Tracy I |

After a very long flight and delay we wandered the streets of San Francisco to find a suitable place to eat. We came across Tad's and decided to venture in. We ordered from the huge range of meals on the blackboards, having the pork chop and chicken with jacket potatoes and salad. Food was very tasty and good value, could not finish either meal as portions so generous.

Gem of place!

We are on holiday from the UK and This is our second visit on our trip! Excellent food great staff and reasonable pricing! Highly recommend!

A nice place to stop for a quick bite

By 3C03 |

Arrived in San Francisco this afternoon and took a walk to Union Square. Got chatting to a local who recommended Tads. He described it as somewhere that does reasonably priced steaks. I would describe Tads as a self service diner. If you are expecting amazing steak, don’t. It was ok and tasty and we would describe it as good honest grub but I’ve had better steak. Price wise it was $120 for 5 dinners and drinks. So in summary a good place to stop for an inoffensive place to eat. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Typical American breakfast

By DimiEG |

A good place for a typical American breakfast experience. I went there because I was staying at the hotel next to it and since there was no breakfast they recommended Tad's. The staff was nice and the most convenient part is that it opens rally early so it is a good choice for people like me with a huge jet lag, waking up really early. I also enjoyed the decoration I felt like in a movie or traveling beck in time.

Good breakfast

By lotteliina |

If you are graving for decent, simple, fulfilling breakfast - this is your spot! No hassle, no gourmet and nothing too fancy but the flavors are there and the service is pleasant.

Best Deal in San Francisco

By skip m |

In a city where all the prices are sky high tads is a great deal. A steak dinner with salad and bread $18.99 how can you go wrong. We paid $18 for a bowl of soup at another restaurant and $24 for a thin steak sandwich at still another restaurant. They may not be on the water or have a 5 star atmosphere but they have a good tender steak fresh salad and great garlic bread.

Best breakfast in sf

By jhcnj |

No doubt the best breakfast in San Francisco. Half the price of the breakfast in the hotels in the area and a much better quality. A staff that is down to earth and there to make sure your meal is a success. I go there every time I am in San Francisco. A must for breakfast.

Good choice

By CarolynnAng5 |

Chanced by and was pleasantly happy with my choice. Once enter just go to cashier to order and pay. It's little self serve. Take own water and cutlery. Ordered the tads special steak (good portion!) and they come with baked potatoes and salad. The wine was a nice portion. Free WiFi. Good location. It's more informal so don't expect to be served. But comfortable set up.

Awesome breakfast

By AKiwiandACanuck |

After having spent more money for breakfasts at other places, we saw Tad's and thought why not. The specials were large and well priced. Service was good. Would have come back for dinner, but only found it on our last day......

Family friendly, classic dining

By SmokeyDJ |

This place has so much charm. At first I was put off by the queue outside, then it intrigued me... boy was this place worth queuing for!! It's not fine dining by any imagination, but it's honest and affordable affair. I really enjoyed our meal and recommend Tads country Fried chicken!!

Good value decent steak

By Tim S |

Nice priced meal for San Francisco. I'm from the Midwest so my expectations for a decent steak is fairly high. Good bread very tasty. Blue cheese dressing. Was fairly quick. Would eat again. Steak is kind of thin but tasty.

good salmon and broiled chicken

By H C |

for around USD 16 to usd 18 you get a baked potato, salad, a bread and a large piece of salmon or broiled chicken. My workmates enjoyed the steak the most. Ambiance is nice, almost like a hotel although its just a steakhouse. USD2.00 for soda and USD 0.99 for soda refill from the fountain . You pay at the cashier and get the food when its ready. so its self service.

Good Basic American Food

By LA1256 |

Had a couple of meals here and it's a no-frills, honest to goodness American food joint. I liked the fact that you could choose any individual items, all reasonably priced, whether sides or mains, and make up your own meal. They don't even make you eat meat! I had the french fries, tomatoes and mushrooms. Twice! The food's fried but not overly greasy. Good basic chow!

Wholesome breakfast near Union Square with history!

By Edwin R |

Tad's Steakhouse is like an old friend. We used to come here for brunch after church on Sunday. Every time I come back here, I can still see this little scrawny eight year old kid, digging his booger and rubbing it under the table. Oh what great memories! Tad's haven't changed much - looks to be about the same, dark, dingy and musky. Service also have remained the same, always great. What also hasn't changed is their large portions. Prices have gone up a bit but not by much. You can get a good breakfast here with eggs, hash brown/fresh fruits and toast for around $10. Oh one thing that did get upgraded - they now serve fresh fruits instead of canned. If you're looking for a homey vibe with old school and small town service, this place is legit. The nice Asian lady who served us deserves a rock star medal. She was attentive and service with a smile. Cheers!

A good place for an inexpensive steak

By Johnh S |

I've never been there for breakfast but for lunch and dinner they have a relatively short menu reminiscent of the old Ponderosa and sizzlers steak houses. Service is also somewhat similar. You walk in and place your order and pay the cashier and then wait for your food to come up and you then take it to your table and eat. The steaks are tasty although not exactly the most tender. But the prices are very reasonable for San Francisco.

San Francisco Vistors

By Elizabeth C |

We arrived to San Francisco on a Sunday and our hotel was downtown. Everything was close, no decent restaurants were open. But on Monday morning, we found Tad’s Steak House. This is the best place to have breakfast downtown. It’s clean, great service and the food is delicious. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner I would definitely come again.

Great casual place for dinner bear our hotel.

By TravelnLight1 |

We were looking for a place to eat dinner within walking distance of our hotel. Found Ted’s Steakhouse and liked the menu choices and prices. My husband and I split the pork chop entre that came with a baked potatoes and salad plus toasted butter bread. We added a second salad and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Pork chop was delicious and tender. Salad was a good portion. Waitress was pleasant and helpful and it was a great place to hang out.

Good Alternative Breakfast Diner

By Steve M |

I was in San Francisco for 2 days. Breakfast on day 1 was at the 'famous' Lori's Diner on Powell Street. I had eaten there before but doubt I'll be returning as the experience is just not the same anymore and it's got very pricey. Today I decided to go to Tad's Steakhouse for breakfast. The interior reminds you of an old rail terminus restaurant, high ceiling etc - and I'm not sure if the brown décor is deliberate or is the result of smoke stains from a bye-gone era! The place could do with a good refurb. You seat your self and very quickly I got the menu and some coffee. They have a great early bird offer on breakfast until 1030 which I'd recommend at under $10. Unfortunately I had to return my plate as the meal was almost cold - clearly it had been sitting on the chef's shelf too long. Another plate was made and was really hot and tasty. As a nice touch the chef himself cleared my plate and apologised for the situation. Throughout my time there I didn't see one member of staff smile! Service is more workmanlike than friendly but if you don't mind that you'll be fine. I noticed this kind of service at Lori's too by the way so it's not unique to Tad's. I'll probably go back to this place the next time I'm in town as it's handy to my hotel.

Aweful taste, the service was worse

By Nena |

We ordered two steaks. Very dry and burnt. The waitors were so unkind. I wouldn't recommend. We'll never come back again.

Tads ‘famous’ steak

By Stuwin70 |

I asked before I sat down, ‘So what’s Tads steak famous for?’ And the reply... ‘Everyone knows Tads!’ I now know what it isn’t famous for and that’s taste. Ordered the steak and jacket potato, the steak had no flavour and the jacket had seen better days, also soft, chewy and flavourless! Despite the assistance of the various condiments this meal has been the worst I have eaten for a long time. I was literally lost as to what to do as I attempted to eat it and I was hungry! Sorry Tads, you are not for me.

Delicious but loud

By ladyexplores |

Great homemade fresh food, but it is very loud (nothing to absorb the sound). You order at a counter and they bring the food to the table.

What a deal

By dsligar |

If your looking for a good deal in this very expensive city Tad's is your place. You can get a great steak dinner complete with salad , baked potato, and garlic bread for $24 not bad. The quality of the food is excellent and they really know how to cook a steak. It is located right in the heart of union square on the cable car line. Don't let that detour you. The staff super friendly and it's not like any other place here in this city. This is a must do.

Cafeteria like steak house - good value and central

By JensPerregaard |

Dropped in around 8.30 on a Sunday evening and had a fine steak. You order at the desk and get a buzzer. Preparation is quick and quality is fine. Price is low. All in all fine and value for money but it is not gourmet

Breakfast

By Andy |

Went for breakfast and can thoroughly recommend, good service, nice food and loads of it. Reasonably priced. Only slight downside was no fancy coffee, just peculated, but free top ups 😊 Would eat here again for sure

A Classic

By Anita C |

Tads has really cleaned up! The food has always been good, good value for what you get. If you're in Union Square and need a quick but delicious bite definitely go check out Tads, and get a steak!

Good solid breakfast option

By Lloyd M |

A surprisingly good option for breakfast. First, even when the area is busy, it’s quite a big restaurant so you can get a comfortable table and have a conversation, which is often a problem for breakfast when there is a big conference. I went two consecutive days. Steak and eggs the first day was exactly as it should be. A well seasoned steak and eggs prepared exactly as I ordered. Great value was substituting fruit for hash browns, only $1 and you get a really nice portion of fruit. Also a good selection of toast, I went with rye bread. An omelette the next day was also good and while the sausages weren’t fancy, they were grilled well and were the epitome of breakfast sausage (plus I was able to get them on the side rather than in the omelette for no extra charge). Not fancy but a good breakfast option.

A nice place with good food!

By Ryo Z |

Recommended by one of my friends, she knew that this place would have something everyone (there was a group 6 of us) and she was right. I’ve never been to a place like this but as soon as you walk-in, the menu boards are above the cashiers who are ready to take your order. I noticed that they had a diverse menu and with our group, we can be indivisible, so we were able to find a table, get settled and review the menu. The place itself was very much like a cafeteria style dining area, which made it great for a group our size. We went back up to place our order and drinks (there was a bar available) it wasn’t long after that our food was delivered. Two of my friends ordered the salmon and they loved it! They commented on how it wasn’t dry and had good flavor. Two of us had steak. My steak was cooked perfectly medium rare (of course my friends made side comments that rare steak was “eww” - they don’t know how to eat steak!) Pork chops were amazing and the vegan burger received praise. I think we all agreed that if we come back to San Francisco, we would definitely have to come back here again. The staff was friendly and kind and that helped make the experience great for us. If you are looking for a quick bite and want a place that serves good food, I hope you give this place a try & have the same good experience we did. Enjoy!

Good balue

By lkayrogers |

Chicken dinner was great and best priced meal we had in San Francisco. Nothing fancy about this place just good home cooking.

Great little place!

By MeeShellMidwifeRN |

As we walked by this little hole in wall restaurant we could smell the delicious steak cooking, that’s what drew us in. Nothing fancy, It’s cafeteria style - order at counter - everything made to order. Large portions of Steak, sautéed mushrooms, baked potato, salad and garlic bread, a great value for the price! Food was all hot and tasted good! We didn’t try any breakfast items but they look absolutely amazing!

The best steakhouse in San Francisco a tradition

By 1861JamesSue |

I tried it recently after many years. I love the photos of famous people that have eaten there. It is consistently good. I had the fried seafood combo. It was perfectly breaded lightly not greasy or too heavy. It had fish fillet, , scallops, shrimp, and oysters. Some green beans and carrot was on the plate. Great tartar sauce.

Disappointing for a restaurant that calls itself a steakhouse

By chantou |

We went to this place thinking it was a steakhouse but it’s more like a cafeteria where you have to order at the counter and eat in cabarets. Very American food with green salad rather ordinary, steak large and fat and baked potato with butter in the air.

Going back in time

By David T |

Our first morning in the USA and wanted to experience a real American breakfast, what a shock $10.99 for the all American, this was our first experience of the Californian prices. Breakfast was ok but couldn't get over the bin men carrying the bin past our table. The décor was the 50's

Tasty and well served food

By Alexandre H |

We had dinner at this restaurant on a Monday. There was plenty of people, but it wasn't crowded. Order and payment are made, then the dish is taken to the table. The baked chicken was delicious.

Grilled Cheese - no thanks

By nickyblonde |

Not that great. Grilled cheese sandwich comprised of two processed cheese slices - yuck! Chips very dry, not sure how that was accomplished? Salad drowned in dressing, 90% iceburg lettuce. Best bit of the meal.

Great Breakfast

By RennieFamilyHolidays |

This please was right next door to our hotel. There is lots to choose from and the breakfast was great. Even a great cup of tea.

No. Just no.

By Donald S |

No. Just no. We both got the Tad's "famous steak dinner" and it was terrible. Tough and loaded with gristle. Spend the extra $20 and go to John's Grill across the street. The difference is like night and day.

The real San Francisco

By Art H |

On Powell St, just passed Union Square is a San Francisco icon. Stripped of the pretentiousness that’s so abundant in the “City “, as the locals love to call it, Tads is pure gold mine, boom town. The menu is all American classics, featuring sirloin steak (extra chewy) burgers, every sandwich your mom made and of course, omelettes bigger than your head. Clean with basic decor, the staff is very friendly. Order at the counter and pick it up when the thing that they give you buzzes. And it’s cheap.

Loved this place

By A R B |

Walking into Tad's the first thing that hits you is the sheer variety of choices on the menu. So many options! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Greated on arrival. Well looked after during dining and waved off on departure. The food was delicious. The variety of dishes really is significant. Price-wise - felt reasonable. Especially given the portion size. The current £ to $ exchange rate isn't great, so that was a factor too! Thanks for introducing me to Anchor Steam. If you want a relaxed and easy-going dining experience then Tad's is the place!

Easy lunchtime steak

By jpvin |

A pleasant and moderately priced grill/steakhouse, with a contemporary and spacious dining room, and efficient and friendly service. This was not a restaurant with table-service.

A local institution delivering the basics without much flair but that's ok

By GlobeExpress |

Tad's screams 'fast budget food'. Don't go expecting Michelin fine dining but if you want a steak in ten minutes that won't break the bank then this is your place. Watch the cooks at work - often not better to see this stuff but the food came out fast as expected without much thought for presentation. The steak is plonked on a plate along with a split potato, a piece of toasted white bread and a side salad back-stroking in mayo. All of which enriched the experience.

Wow!

By Nenno14 |

So glad we walked into here! Ordered the pjs fat burger and would not complain one bit! Cooked to perfection and barely waited .. happy customer here!

Poor Man's Luxury

By steve812017 |

You have to love the historic nature of Tad's. It has been here forever (and it shows) and was once part of a whole kingdom that spread across the country. There are maybe just a couple of them left. Is the food great? No, but there's nothing wrong with it. Bottom line it is one heck of a deal, especially given the location. I eat here every chance I get.

Great food!!!

By 37683 |

My family and I were in San Francisco for work and small vacation. We found Tad’s to be a great place to eat and a great environment. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is great and there are items for everyone on the menu. We went twice while there. Highly recommended!

Basic but plenty

By Natalie B |

This is not a very fancy steak house, but the food is good and prices are also good. Personally, I think the lighting is too bright so not very cozy, which reminds me more of a fast food restaurant than a steak house, but ok.

Roach on table

By Alaskanadventurer00 |

Last night, my family sat in the back of the bottom floor. During our meal a live roach appeared on our table. I reported this to one of the male employees and his reply was hmmm. Will not suggest this restaurant.....

Good food at a reasonable price

By Louis015 |

The restaurant is not a typical looking place but the food is good and the prices are reasonable. I ate both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and was happy with the food and the service. I would consider this a good place to eat. It is not fancy but good.

Give it a pass

By Martin L |

While conveniently located just about a block off Union Square, and for all that it looks like it should be a really good mom and pop, it's really extremely average in every respect... except for the ketchup. If you want to use ketchup for your fries or anything else you're eating, steer clear. There really are a ton of better places to eat around the area. The Good: Convenient location near Union Square. Reasonable prices (for the area) and good sized portions. The Bad: The food is mediocre at best, a big portion of average food doesn't really make it better. Service also gets an average score since some of the staff were pretty decent while others were decidedly below. The Ugly: "Fresh juice" obviously means something different to me than it does to them. When someone offers "fresh juice" in a restaurant, I'm expecting something that didn't come out of a carton or bottle. The place has an overall dingy feel to it, which would be a charming "mom and pop" vibe if the food and/or service were better... but they aren't... so it isn't. Instead of giving the place character, it's just dingy. The place just doesn't live up to the initial "hidden gem" impression it gives off. Lastly, the ketchup was absolutely vile... and I love ketchup. Seriously, how do you mess up ketchup?

Canteen Styled Steak House

By Danny D |

Decent Food / Decent price - Steak was cooked really well - baked potato was really cooked very well - good service - attentive staff - all in all a nice experience.

Affordable food with generous serve

By wolfverine |

The constant stream of customers tells a lot about the restaurant. Food quality is decent and generous in size.
