Delicious

Whether traveling to Vegas with friends or family, we are sure to stop in to Taj Palace for excellent Indian Cuisine Dining. This place offers a buffet for lunch that includes your favorites, or order from many specialties on their menu for lunch or dinner...from lamb, chicken and so much more. What made it even better is meeting Mike Tyson here for lunch, where he says he comes to enjoy their great food often! Absolutely love this place!

Great Indian Food

By michaelg999969 |

The food here was excellent. Expect it to be pricey versus other types of cuisine, but completely in-line with Indian food prices. It's definitely worth it, all of the food that we got was great. I recommend the Chili Chicken.

Great new location!

By chaskunz |

We had supper at the new Taj Palace on W Lake Mead Blvd at Hwy 95. We both really enjoyed it! We ordered Tiki Masala and garlic Nan we look forward to trying other dishes soon!

Good Indian Food

By TTZulu |

- Good Indian Food - Flexible with Spice levels - Quick Service - portions are appropriate - Price levels are decent - Plenty of parking available - in henderson (15min away from Vegas) - it would be good if they had more cubes versus tables

When It Finally Gets There, The Food Is Great!

By doverpoet |

We went on New Year's Eve, about 7 p.m. And while it was moderately busy, it wasn't too crowded. The place has great ambiance - can get a little dark in some places though - so it may be a plus if your cell phone has a bright light! Boyfriend ordered Lamb Vindaloo, and I had Shrimp Do Piaza. Took a while, and they even delivered another table's order to our table, but finally got it right. Both me and the BF like HOT stuff, and so many times we've been disappointed when a restaurant just doesn't get the food spicy enough, but I ordered my food an 8 out of 10 in spiciness, and it was perfect! And believe me, if you want it spicy, that's what you will get. I will def go back again! P.S. I marked on my review that this restaurant isn't appropriate for kids. Well, unfortunately, kids end up nearly everywhere, whether you like it or not, but this is a ROMANTIC restaurant...parents, do us all a favor and leave little Bratleigh home, or go to McDonald's - there are plenty of places for your type of dining experience.

Interesting find!

By GApeach87 |

Husband, kids and I tried Taj Palace and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered 2 of the chicken samosas and loved those. We also ordered naan, raita, lamb tikka, chicken tikka, coconut curry chicken and one other entree w 2 sides of rice. With (NA) drinks the total was around $110. Not bad for the amount of food we got and most have leftovers for tomorrow. I enjoy spice and hot mine a 6. I may try the 7 next time but 6 was sufficient. If you're in the Henderson area definitely give them a try.

Finally - good authentic Indian food in America! Lamb Rogan Josh was excellent.

By burgesspeter |

Fantastic! Best Lamb Rogan Josh I’ve had since we moved from Glasgow to the USA. Great service, good menu and nice atmosphere. Would definitely come again.

Plenty of positives with some areas for development

By Jake B |

Ate here last night. Slightly away from the main tourist attractions- not a bad thing. 10 mins walk from Wynn hotel. Most of the food was of a good quality- e.g. The chicken curry. Poppadoms were slightly disappointing. Server tried hard and was attentive filling up water. Quiet inside the restaurant. I would attribute this to 2 factors- 1. Not advertising themselves clearly enough 2) Steep prices for some items. Most mains cost 13 dollars. Add on 4 95 for rice (admittedly big) plus staters and sides and it is easy to run up a large bill. Overall, a reasonable experience- on the high end of 3 stars but does not tick enough boxes for 4.

Great Find!!

By Megankaz |

Was on my way to the sandwich place next door, decided to eat here instead. Glad that I did. Food was great, the service was wonderful. Best garlic nan! For sure one of the best Indian restaurant in the Las Vegas area! Stop by, you will be glad that you did.

Average food, high price, long wait, poor serivce

By windchaser810 |

We received our appetizers within about 15 min of ordering; however, our food took 2 hrs to come. It only came when my husband had to go looking for someone who could tell us what's going on with it. The quality of the food was okay, bit greasy, we felt it was very overpriced for the quantity. The servers were very sweet but for some reason very confused about what's going on. Table next to ours were also waiting for about an hour before they received their meal. It was just odd, won't be going there again.

Good food, below average service

By Knight66 |

We had a group of 6 and the restaurant was not very busy. It took a long time for them to even ask for our drink order. If we were not in holiday mood, I am sure the poor service would have ruined our night. The food however was very good. I asked for very spicy and they delivered a spicy and flavourful dish. Quite enjoyed it. The dishes doesn't come with rice or naan which you have to order at extra cost. The dishes are a tad pricy. I suggest to ask for a take out

Awful attention to detail

By ladod |

Last month I ordered food to go and they "forgot" the aloo paratha. Left countless messages on their answering machine no return call no nothing. Ordered door dash today I asked for 2 dr. Pepper they give me diet. I call them no solution. He took my number and said the manager would get back to me in 2 minutes. With everything that's going on you should be appreciative of getting any business and make sure the order is perfect instead of zero effort and zero trying to make it better. Not even a returned phone call

Medium, not fierce

By O7259CUsarahb |

For lunch.... The naan is great, there is plenty of well made rice and Dahl, and the service is excellent. It is about $13.00 for all you can eat, and that includes a nice tip. Isn't that the point of an Indian food restaurant that is trying to attract a lot of different people? For dinner... It is a little more expensive. For about five more dollars, one can get what is requested in spice, heat, and flavor. They work to make ya full and happy. At dinner time, it is not just a buffet dinner. I think that some of the fierce boldness that is the hallmark of great Indian food is missing. I wonder if that has happened because they are trying so hard to please their guests? I hope that they will recognize me when I return and that they will become more confident and share bolder, more fierce, dishes. Give them a chance and I have the feeling their confidence will grow and make them better... A bit more fierce and awesome.

Delicious Indian food!

By LoveToLiveLarge |

I absolutely love this place. My only problem is the level of hot spices they put in the food despite my asking for the lowest level they make. Guess it's my own fault for continuing to go there knowing their lowest level is too hot for me.

Our favorite Indian lunch buffet

By sharrongeg |

We eat here at least once a month. Outstanding selection at their lunch buffet. Price about $19.95 +- and included freshly baked naan. We prefer their garlic naan. Service friendly and quick. Highly recommend. Lots of free off street parking available. In Henderson/Las Vegas this is critical.

Nice food

By Srinivas B |

Was looking for some Indian restaurant during our visit to Las Vegas trio and found Taj Palace on Eastern Avenue. The restaurant ambience is good and the food is good. Items were fresh too. So we stopped again the following day. I would recommend this

LOVED IT

By Ava |

This was such a great place to eat off the strip. The manager always provided helpful tips on what to eat and he was very attentive to making sure no allergens were present in our friends food who has food allergies. Great service, great food. Wish I could eat there every day.

Excellent service & great tasting food

By TheRTWTraveler |

We ordered mushroom masala, aloo Gobi, garlic naan, and peshwari naan. The spice level 5 was prepared perfectly and the taste was excellent. Peshwari naan is my favorite and this place knows how to make it.

Best Indian Buffet ever!

By tinkerbell328 |

I love going here for dinner, but this was my first time trying their lunch buffet. Very fresh and delicious, with a huge selection. The Samosas are fantastic. Good wine selection as well. Very reasonable.

Pricey,dirty,tasteless

By MustafaKocer |

Worst restaurant and buffet in Las Vegas.Dirty dishes.Meals are not tasty and looks disgusting and pricey.Stay away from there!!!

Pretty good, but nothing to write home about.

By Christian B |

My wife and I are huge fans of Indian cuisine and were recently in Henderson, NV. We opted to try the Taj Palace. I prefer vegetarian dishes and went with the Mushroom matar curry, vegetarian pakoras, and a side of garlic naan. I requested my meal to be extra spicy and the waitress advised me against it. I assured her that I eat very spicy foods and I wasn't concerned. When I got my food, I expected something wild and this was not it. There were good flavors in the dish, but almost no heat. The pakoras were decent, maybe I'd order them again. The naan was delicious, but it's pretty good most anywhere. Not bad, but not great either.

Good Service, OK food

By AAHou |

Group of us went looking for great Indian food. Service was good but the food was average. Not something jumping out in flavor. We decided to order one last item at the end and realizing that we may have to wait so we ask if there is a dish that is ready (like Daal)? And the waiter said yes. Then we waited 15+ minutes for it. Not good when you set expectations...

Worthy

By NikkoHenderson_NV |

The Taj Palace offers a nice representation of classic Indian dishes. The flavors may not have been quite as vibrant as those in India but for a strip mall in Henderson, they certainly do the cuisine justice. The service was pleasant and efficient. Dishes we sampled were the coconut curry shrimp, tandoori chicken, paneer tikka masala, golden dal, and of course their naan and roti. All were very good. We will certainly return to this nice little restaurant.

nice buffet

By pspoker |

A great mid week buffet for about $12-13 a person. Not a monster selection, just all the good things. And they will bring you free Naan bread to your table! If you like Indian food, try this place.

The Hunt is OVER.

By David S |

We been looking for a good Indian restaurant and at last , the Taj Palace fits the bill. I like spicy food and the Mulligatawny soup was the best so far ! The butter chicken was great. Best is you can have the food as spicy as you want . Will be back.

Best indian in town

By Atul A |

I visited this while on my way to airport rental car return. It was Saturday and we got lunch buffet. The samosas were amazing. All the curries were tasty. They offered a choice for nans viz. Garlic or butter, which is good. Rice items and tandoori was good. It's reasonably priced, they charge $6 for kids (unlike many others). A must visit while in vegas.

Best in Las Vegas!

By tinkerbell328 |

I visit rather frequently and try a different Indian restaurant each time I come. I don't think I'll be doing that anymore since this one was so exceptional! The food and service was perfect in every way. A beautiful dining room as well. The Samosas were the best I've ever had. You've got to try this place!

Delicious!

By GazManU |

I love this place. Great food, friendly staff and perfect ambience throughout the place. Overall the best Indian restaurant in Las Vegas!

Great off the strip Indian

By Travel4Fun_DC |

Went here with some locals and enjoyed an off the strip meal. Restaurant was empty, but the food was legit. Great service! Food was not "Americanized" and was authentic and just the right amount of heat. Would definitely go here again.

Taj Palace hidden Jewel of Henderson, NV

By Matusla |

My wife and I were in the valley to pick up family at the airport, we had time to kill and went exploring and found this Jewel. Nice décor and very quite, even with and infant close by. Food was like was in Indian restaurant overseas, good portions and my taste buds were awaken with all the species. It was go good we used the garlic naan [Bread] to soak up the sauce. Staff was great, my spouse for the evening must return!

Vegan-Vegetarian choices plentiful- easy to park-LUNCH BUFFET

By RoadTripper |

Doing a quick Yelp and Google maps search in the Area saw this Indian restaurant had a buffet and I was happy to discover that half of it was dedicated to Vegetarian/vegan choices and were marked as such. The Garlic Naan was included in the price but be sure and tell them no BUTTER or it will come out with lots of butter. Easy to park- strip center- interior nicely thought out with mix of booths and tables. Like that the music was at a reasonable level to allow good conversation not blasting. And not many tvs another WIN! Would go back and might be a great place for dinner with friends! off Strip so I imagine a better deal overall.

First Time Trying Indian Food

By yowsah1 |

I had never eaten Indian food before visiting this restaurant, so I was a little nervous I would end up spending a lot of money for food I disliked. My worries were put to rest the minute my dish was served! The food was delicious, well prepared and excellently presented. In addition, the restaurant itself was quite lovely, and the TV showing the Bollywood videos was a nice touch. Would definitely go there again!

A Tasty Trip To India

By Traveling_Macks |

Came here with the fam fo dinner one night. I was hesitant due to my last experience with Indian food, which did not end well. Ultimately, I'm glad we went. The Taj Palace is a fine restaurant with a very attentive, friendly staff. Ankit was our host and server. There must be like 5 of him, because he seemed to be everywhere. He did have help, and they were also very friendly. Not having much experience with Indian, we had an idea of what we wanted, shrimp biryani among them. Biryani is a seasoned rice dish that I do love. Ankit took our order and, upon hearing that we were relatively new to Indian cuisine, made some suggestions of potential dishes we would like. He did not steer us wrong. The chicken and vegetarian samosas (stuffed puff pastries) were very good (the veggie was a little spicy), chicken tikka masala and lamb vindalloo were saucy and great, and the tandoori chicken was my absolute favorite. I could have eaten teh entire platter myself. It came out sizzling on a skillet on a bed of grilled onions and bell peppers with a little fresh squeezed lemon on top. Along with the entress we had some garlic naan (a flat bread) that was an excellent accompaniment. We finished the meal with pistachio kulfi, a type of ice cream. It was an excellent ending. FYI we had a LARGE bag of leftovers that I am looking forward to eating today. Taj Palace is a good place to visit with friends and family. Great staff, great food, great time.

Nice service, great food

By kumar_nitin |

One of the best things about this place is the effort that the servers take in making you comfortable and making sure you have all you need during your visit. The moment you enter the restaurant and by the time you leave, you will really like their warmth and hospitality. The place is just few miles away from the famous strip and serves delicious food along with lots of seating space. The quality of the food and taste is awesome. We ordered the Onion Basil naan and it was worth it. The restaurant serves great Indian food with not so expensive rates. Lunch has a buffet whereas dinner is a La Carta style.

Excellent lunch buffet!

By Carl V |

We recently were in Las Vegas for a soccer tournament. Had the unexpected pleasure of delicious Indian food for lunch. A little pricey for lunch in a strip mall ($10.95 each), however, the food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the mango chicken and tikka masala. The nan was authentic and tasty. The buffet had a wide variety including daal, goat curry, vegetable korma, salad, fruit, and rice pudding. Only come if you're hungry! Our kids liked it too.

Delicious

By Jennifer K |

I was there for dinner with my family and the food was delicious. Also the waiters were very attentive and advised us good on what to get. The only thing you should consider is not to order to much food, just share the food and order an appetizer together, you won't regret it. For dessert try the mango lassi, it's very good.

Highly Recommended for Indian Cuisine

By jg3arrow |

I’ve been going to restaurants in this one Henderson-area strip mall for years, but never really considered trying Taj Palace until now. Now I have to catch up for lost time! It’s very good. I had meant to order an entree from the dinner menu, but everyone was going to the buffet. So I thought I’d check it out. I found a fine selection of all my Indian favorites, like korma, curries and tandoori. There were dozens of other choices, but that was more than enough for me - especially since they also brought me a big basket of the freshest garlic naan (a signature menu offering). It think the buffet was $12 or less - and my dinner entree would have been at least $16. So, good value, good food, good service (and good Indian beer)!

Great Chicken Makhani!

By Mike V |

Their lunch Buffett offers a lot of traditional Recipes from India. If you ever wanted to experience Indian cousine this is a great place to start!

Eat the naan!

By jadejoann4 |

Oh my! The lunch Buffett is out of this world! Everything was excellent, fresh and the service was fantastic. Great price.

Relaxing atmosphere & great food

By LoriBrad2016 |

Our waiter was very helpful in navigating the abundant choices. Portions were large. We shared each other's entrées and had leftovers to bring home.

the place to go for Indian food

By David W |

Go here often. Always hot and delicious food. Service is excellent and spices are always just right. Tell them how hot you want it and it's done. Lamb dishes are the best around and my other half always has the chicken which is her favorite. Garlic Naan is always perfect with the meal as is the rice with peas/raisins and nuts. Can't say enough, best in town

Great Indian food

By Randy |

This little hole in the wall is some of the best Indian food I've ever had! Interestingly decorated with low volume Bollywood videos on the tv. I had the butter chicken Masala which was melt in your mouth tender and just the right combination of spices. My husband had curried chickpeas which he loved. The dahl soup was good but mine is better. Overall it was great and we'll be back!

Our favorite lunch buffet

By sharrongeg |

Always tasty local Indian restaurant. We have had lunch here several times. Lunch buffet ($16 per person) has a wide variety of traditional Indian dishes. mango Lassi ($5) is wonderful.

REALLY Great

By Charles M |

It is hard to say anything bad that puts out fresh Nan withe really good buffet food. I will have to come back during dinner service and check them out again. I am impressed guys!

wow!

By pspoker |

we went here for the 1st time for the lunch buffet. I think it was $11 each or so before tax n tip, but anyways, it was really good! Not a large selection, but we all walked away full. Highly recommend.

Good Indian food in Vegas

By VaderSchmidt |

Had dinner last week and wasn't disappointed. Went with a friend from India who guided me thru the different dishes and had a great time.

If they are busy and you are solo. Don't go unless you are prepared for a wait.

By RayC |

If it is a busy time, don't do. They seat everyone with more than one person before they will seat someone by themselves even if the others came well after the single. I see the preference for them that they get more money by seating multiple people rather than one person. The food is good. If you go during the week when the place is empty you will get a seat. Just don't go on a weekend unless you are prepared to wait while every multiple person group moves ahead of you.

Worth a visit

By TravellingTyke007 |

Visited Taj Palace this week after seeing it as I was driving past. Friendly folks and food on buffet was tasty. Tandoori chicken was good, and the chicken tikka masala was one of the better flavors I've tasted in the US for that dish. Also offered were goat korma, mushroom masala, and mixed variety of vegetarian dishes (dal, vegetable curry, fresh salad). There were large vegetarian samosas, too, which was a nice touch for a lunch buffet. Standard selections for Indian enthusiasts, and while the kheer was a little gelationous, their naan was just about perfect. Give it a go - not bad at all!

Flavorful

By cintuchi |

Love Indian food but I'm really bad to remember the plates I truly enjoy. The cozy buffet gives you the opportunity to enjoy different options. From vegan gluten free to a yummy chicken combination plates. The garlic bread it’s good.

Best Indian food restaurant in town

By Readin I W |

I eat there at least twice a week. As soon as I walk in the door, a wonderful smell overcomes the senses. Immediately I am greeted by the friendly staff, and soon enjoying a great meal of healthy food. Its my favorite place to eat. I'm sure it will be one of yours too.

Tasty Indian Food

By dhanatheexplorer |

Food is great and tasty. Portion is huge and value for money. Especially we liked Biryani dishes. Important note make sure to mention your spice level appropriately.

Top notch

By bwbwbwbw |

Daily Lunch Buffet will definitely not disappoint. Good service, great variety, endless amounts high quality authentic Indian food kept hot. Faves included: butter chicken, saag, goat curry. The best garlic naan ever! $12.95 well spent.

Great Indian food

By parkfamily |

We love their buffet and eat there every time we come to Las Vegas. They have many vegetarian dishes. The place is cozy, people are friendly and service is good.

Wow!!!

By Cindy N |

My husband and I are visiting Vegas for the first time. We stopped in to grab a bite for lunch. We did eat the lunch buffet. The ambience is great, the food is delicious, and the price is reasonable. My husband and I eat out a lot, especially Indian and other cuisines and we were thoroughly impressed with the little things; for instance they bring fresh Nan to the table instead of sticking it in the buffet where it can dry out and the decor/atmosphere is that of a modern Indian eatery, not your usual old school Indian decor. Also, they have stuff like goat curry in the buffet. You don't usually find a premium like goat in an Indian buffet since many people don't like it, but there it was! Lastly, the servers were friendly which is always a big plus. If you're in the area I would highly recommend you try them out. You won't be sorry!

Nice

By LVRoadWarrior |

The restaurant and staff were great. The staff took their time in helping us newbies with food explanations. My tolerance to heat is on the whimpy side so i experienced a #3 in spicey heat. The food was yummy. But i will say that the lamb dish i had - the lamb needed to be more tender otherwise it was great. They also have India beer. There were quite a few people coming in for dinner - some seemed to be regulars which is a good sign. They have a lunch buffet which would benefit a newcomer. We enjoyed ourselves for sure

Yummy Indian food

By dipeshjuneja |

The Naan, Malai Kofta, Fried rice and Mango lassi were so yummy it felt as if we were at our home only. The ambience is good and hospitality of the owner Mr. Jitu Patel is great.

Authentic Indian Food

By Momma808 |

Craving fo Indian Food and this place was nearby our house. The restaurant wasn't busy on a Tuesday evening. We ordered the Lamb Vindaloo and the Chicken Madras curry. A side of garlic naan and buttered prata. The both dishes were so delicious and on point with spices. We ordered spice level 8 and I think the waiter has to repeat to make sure that's the spice levels we ordered. The lamb was very tender and had cubes of potatoes in it. There sauce thickness was just perfect for dunking with the naan. The curries were served with basmati rice. The one item we ordered that wasn't great was the prata. We asked the waiter if they had the roti prata type and they politely apologize they don't make those. Service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back again!

Awesome Indian Buffet/Restaurant

By NighTillDawn |

The food for the value is superb! I have been going here since they opened and it's amazing how the taste of everything is spiced just right. They serve halal meat and vegerterians will enjoy as well. There is something for everyone!

Yum!

By kiddo05579 |

I don't have much experience with Indian food, but that is why I loved this place! The staff was so friendly and helpful in picking which dishes pair well together (very important if you are a first timer). The smells, tastes, and textures are so different that you might need a little help deciding what to get! Over all I was extremely satisfied with the experience.

Great food and good service

By Lindel V |

I have eaten Taj Palace food on several occasions. Everything I have had from them is good. The deliver through a third party Yelp Eat24. Service is prompt even when it has been a weekend evening. I have even talked with the manager (Jason) personally and he is a decent man. I would highly recommend this place.c

Amazing food with personalized service

By Nitesh Naik |

We were visiting Las Vegas for a Day and wanted to eat Indian food for Dinner, when we arrived with total of 9 people, we were promptly asked 5 minutes to properly arrange the tables, all orders were taken on time and everything was just perfect, the food was even better, the yellow tadka daal was the best I had in a long time, the Tandoori Roti was made fresh, Desert was offered but we were too full to eat that. We will visit again in March and will definitely make efforts to go there. I highly recommend this place. Nitesh Naik Seneca, South Carolina.

Top Notch Dinner!

By Tour431663 |

With all the choices for Indian Food in Las Vegas, we settled on Taj Palace based on TripAdvisor reviews. From start to finish, we were impressed with everything! Papadum to start and a very friendly and helpful waiter guided us through the menu. Chicken Basil And Mulligatawny Soup. Lamb Korma, Lamb Do-Piaza, Malai Kafta and Goat Curry! Basmati Rice was very fluffy. Three orders of Rice for four entrees was too much. Very generous portions. The Staff was very attentive, keeping our drink glasses full. Haywards 5000 was delicious! This is the first Indian restaurant that has ever asked "how hot on a scale of 1 to 10." Now that's a Chef that knows how to please a customer. I would highly recommend Taj Palace. It was a great dining experience! Many thanks to prior Reviewers that did not steer us wrong!

Just okay food and charged for bottled water without asking us.

By lululasvegas |

This was our first visit to Taj Palace. We were seated in a booth and they gave us 2 bottles of Dasani waters. So I asked why are you giving us bottle water? (no glasses or ice). It was strange to get just bottled water without us asking for it. The food was just ok, nothing special, I was hoping it was going to be excellent since they had best of Las Vegas 3 times in a row. When we receive bill they charged us for the water. It’s not the money it’s the principle of the matter. I really didn’t like the fact you charge for water when I didn’t ask for it and I had to drink out of a plastic bottle, no glass no ice. That’s strange. Also the table and menu was sticky, I felt uncomfortable so I went to wash my hands after touching the menu and the ladies bathroom floor was sticky as well when I walked in.

Great dinner!

By sharrongeg |

I have had the buffet lunch at this restaurant, but this was the first time I was here for dinner. We were greeted and seated immediately. Ordered the Veg. samosa to start and the chicken tikka masala and saag paneer for entrees. Everything was excellent. Service friendly and quick. Dinner bill was $36 w/o tip. Highly recommend

Buffet was terrrible today

By Boxingkid |

This Buffet used to be good. Today it was HORRIBLE. They are watering down many of the dishes. The Curry Chicken had no chicken. I had to tell them to add some and wait 10 minutes, The Goat curry was bone and fat. Even the Rice pudding had no rice I went here over 20 times. I am not going back

Lunch Buffet rocks!

By Yvonne A |

May not be most inexpensive - around 15 a person with drinks. But awesome food! Great variety and nan (biggie) comes in garlic and plain. Really quality stuff! Wait staff always incredibly nice, helpful and sweet and attentive! Just love going there! Really the place to try a wide assortment of dishes!

Excellent Buffet lunch

By Yvonne A |

You cannot go wrong here! Amazingly yummy and so much to choose from! Naan is some of the best in Vegas! And they keep it coming at lunch! Very impressed with service and they are super nice! Price very reasonable!

Awful

By Tim B |

The food is very bland and the service is terrible. Waiters stand at the bar and yawn rather than take any interest in you, ask if you need anything. Not at all authentic Indian food or service.

Below expectation

By 5flower |

Food: 3 star. Small portions. Pricey. Not as good compared to other Indian restaurants. Service: 3 star Ambience: 0 Average restaurant. Does not deserve my 4 star rating.

Authentic Indian fare in Henderson

By jamiekravitz |

This was a great, friendly Indian restaurant in a mall in Henderson (South Las Vegas area). I ate way too much but appreciated the waiter telling me what was freshly made.

A local favorite!

By JennyPinLV5 |

I can't wait until my kids decide Indian food as fabulous, then I can have it much more often! Taj Palace is delicious and the service is lovely. We often get takeout and the process of picking up and checking out it really smooth. But if you have a chance to eat in, it's a great place to have a nice long conversation. It's quiet, serene, and while you get adequate attention, the servers give you your space. Favorites are Shrimp Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma, Veggie Samosas, and Mulagatawny Soup. Experiment with different types of Naan - SO many are good.

You won't be disappointed.

By allIdoistravel |

The decor is pretty basic but reminiscent of India complete with continuous Bollywood videos at the bar. Friendly waiters are efficient and helpful. Our food arrived quickly and had our requested spice level. Servings are generous and we noted most people took leftovers with them. Good food, good experience.

Terrible Indian experience

By JaneAustenWyo |

Raw shrimp, poorly trimmed meat including chicken and lamb. Terrible soup with a frightening concoction of spices that seemed to not have been cooked into the actual soup before serving. The lentils were so cooked that they were mush. Mango curry was good but the other dishes were a poor testament to Indian food. Plus, the server couldn't even pronounce some menu items. Go to another Indian restaurant for a more pleasant and authentic experience.

A surfeit of delicious choices

By Paul H |

We were drawn to the restaurant by a "dining for miles" promotion, and after some challenging navigation (we were visiting from out of town) we arrived to find attentive staff who directed us to a comfortable booth. We chose two entrees, rice and naan, and were delighted with both the food and the service. The staff were pleasant, offered cogent suggestions, and were attentive in an unobtrusive but helpful manner. The portions were generous and we were provided containers to take home the remainder of our meal.

If you like Indian food you should try Taj Palace

By Jedimasterkush |

Came with a group of 6 for my first visit. We tried and shared lots of dishes and everything was spectacular. If you are considering going for Indian for a night out this place is on point.

A very good lunch buffet!

By The Traveling Pair |

Our first visit to Taj Palace was for dinner in August 2021. We were informed about their lunch buffet and returned a few days later. It was delicious with excellent naan bread. We returned in December 2021 & May 2022 when we were in Las Vegas.

Chicken Tikka and Tandoori Chicken!

By orange-u-tall |

Taj Palace is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in town. I'm able to enjoy delicious Naan, and a Mango Lassi to boot. The Chicken Tikka and Tandoori Chicken are my "go to" items on the menu. I have only experienced the restaurant during the a la carte dinner menu. But I would be curious to sample the lunch buffet, too.

Awesome buffet.

By JackandNanPS |

If we lived in Las Vegas we would eat here regularly. Great service, great food. Buffets can be "so/so" but at Taj it tasted as if it hadn't been just prepared specially for us. Awesome.

Best Indian food in Vegas

I eat here like once a week and love it every time! They have the best Indian food in Vegas. You have a choice of fresh regular or garlic naan but my favorite is the garlic. My favorite items are the chicken tikki massala, saag paneer, tandoori chicken, basmati Rice, and a few others that I can't remember the names. Everything is delicious. They also have yummy mango lassi's but they are kinda filling.

Taj Palace

Thank you to yelp elite and Kayla for this amazing find! Such amazing food! As soon as you walk in, the ambiance takes you somewhere else. Very pretty. They also had some dancing entertainment on the television which I thought was super cool. Also as soon as I walked in I was greeted very nicely. I decided to do the buffet for lunch so I could try everything. Which is normally just $15.99! I was also given some garlic naan which was great! Literally everything I tried was so tasty, amazing, and delicious! (And I tried to get a tiny bit of everything) I normally can’t eat spicy food but the spices and everything was just right in ALL of the dishes. Can’t wait to go back!

Reasonably priced, quite spicy

They have a decent lunch buffett but almost everything is very spicy. I thought some of the things like the nan were too salty. Dinner offerings are expensive.

Go for the Lunch Buffet

Love Taj Palace's lunch buffet. It's a great value and the food is tasty. The decor is eclectic, and it's very casual. Taj Palace is not an upscale setting, but I like that. It's comfortable. The restaurant was mostly clean and tidy, as was the buffet serving area. An employee was constantly wiping up any spills and keeping it presentable. I did notice that parts of the restaurant could use some attention, especially the light fixtures that hang over the booths. They were caked in years-old dust, and are super gross. The buffet is very small but had plenty of choices. The first part of the bar is all vegetarian entrees, the rest meat, and a cold section with lots of Indian salads. While I love Indian food, I'm not well-versed on the names of dishes and what is in them. This buffet has the items labeled by name, but not what they are. So I had to Google a few things to figure out what I was eating. I, unsurprisingly, adored all of the veggie entrees. I'm not a vegetarian, but I do love my veggies. I'm not a fan of super spicy food, and I found the spice levels varied here. Most of the dishes were mild, and the only thing I found a little too hot was the lemon rice -- it had slices of jalapenos in it. I thought this was kind of weird, but it was easy to eat around them. I noticed a large number of senior citizens eating here at lunch, so I wonder if they tone down the spice to suit their customer's palates? It was no problem, because everything was extremely tasty, just not spicy. And I liked that. My first plate was so good, I went back for a second round to get more of my favorites. My dirty plate was quickly whisked away after I was finished. Included with the buffet is a warm basket of fresh naan (plain or garlic). I opted for garlic, and it was delicious. I was brought a basket with enough naan for two (maybe even three) people, and I am sort of embarrassed to admit that I ate all of it myself. I left with a very full belly, so much so that I didn't even need dinner later that night. It's easy to overlook Taj Palace since it's sort of tucked away in a strip mall. It's worth seeking out, however. This is a really good spot for tasty Indian food, and the buffet is an especially good value.

Yummy

Excellent lunch buffet. Nice variety of vegetarian and meat dishes. Very aromatic curries... The Nan was some of the best I've ever had.

Good food - not so good service.

Food: 5 stars. Delicious chicken Marsala, rice and Nan. Service: 1 star - service crew always grim and unfriendly. Appearance/Dining room: 3 stars.

Good Vegan Options

By Cherence |

This restaurant is a typical American-style Indian restaurant. It is about the best one can do in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Region. The restaurant is in no way totally vegan, but they do a good job with the vegan options they do have.

Average indian fare; poor service

Had the lunch buffet. People were kept waiting even though tables were empty!! Service (only Naan to be served, rest was buffet!) was bad. (Poor guy next to us asked for a Masala Chai and never got it until he left.) Vegetarian selection was limited. Taste was average. Not highly recommended.

Authentic Delicious Indian Food!

I ordered from Taj Palace through Amazon Now Delivery. I was not disappointed at all. The food was excellent. Delivery great on time and order was correct! I lived in the U.K. some time ago and I have never found an Indian restaurant that tasted like UK Indian Restaurant food until now. Everything marinated to perfection the chicken was so tender and mouthwatering. I ordered the Assorted Tandoori mix grill / different meats and marinates oh what a delight it was! The Main meal of Lamb Mango Curry was out of this world. Oh yum! Worth every penny of the 50.00 i spent. the Pakora was a bit salty for me but I have to watch salt, so I ate sparringly the items that felt sodium rich. I will be ordering again from them when I do a dinner out or delivery. Highly recommend the authentic flavors of these dishes!

Great Indian Food, Good Atmosphere, Thoroughly Enjoyable

Tucked away in a strip center in Henderson, Nevada, this little spot had a lovely atmosphere and excellent Indian food. I think our server was an owner or manager, and although he was a bit patronizing, he provided everything we needed. We did have to wait awhile for the check, though. Overall, it was better than many Indian restaurants we've been to, so it goes in the recommended column!

Good Indian food.

Heard about their buffet and went for that. Was disappointed that it is only for lunch. Stayed for dinner and was not disappointed though. Food was out quickly and was quite tasty. Spice levels are from 1-10 and they escalate pretty quickly, so if you like spicy, anything above a 5 is going to fit the bill (IMO). The naan bread was excellent. Tried the Chicken Tika Masala, Chicken Khoura and a couple other dishes. All were excellent. Indian food can seem dry and overcooked at times. This was not and was all quite good. Service was pretty good and priced similarly to other Indian food I've had. Seemed to have a very expansive menu with lots of vegetarian options (Indian food generally does though, right?). They also brought out a complimentary chickpea pastry/cracker with some very tasty dipping sauces prior to the main meal. All in all, was a good experience with tasty food and pretty good service. Ambience was nice, too. Will go again for sure.

Yum!!!

Decent Indian- but not spicy...

By Sheryl B |

If you are used to very spicy Vindaloo, you will need to request that with your waiter. We like our Indian very spicy, and what came out was super tame. The food was good, so we would definately try this place again with that in mind. The entrees are a bit pricey for this type of Indian restaurant, and be warned, they will charge you for rice, even the first serving, which should be included considering the price point. Service was attentive, and friendly.
