Went here for happy hour one Friday evening. We were surprised at how slow it was, especially after tasting the margaritas and appetizers! The margaritas were strong, even though they were on special. The guacamole was perfect, and the warm chips made it taste even better. We also tried the nachos, which were huge! Would definitely go back for dinner!

I have reviewed Taqueria Feliz on Open Table before but have been meaning to write this review since the last time we dined there. Previously, I had great things to say despite some inconsistencies with service. I will say the Nachos with Pork and Fish Tacos are fantastic! I also love their fresh skinny margaritas. However, sadly the last time we dined at Taqueria the service was just bad. My boyfriend and I live in Manayunk so we walk to Main St. frequently; we had guests in from NYC and decided to take them to Taueria...I wish we didn't. Our server spilled 2 entire pints of beer all over our out-of-town guest and all over our table. It was a hot mess. She was apologetic and brought him another beer but it did not seem like much of a big deal to her. They were soaked in beer. It was gross. The manager never even came over to check on the table following this. Then when it came time to get the bill we noticed that only the one spilled beer was comped off our check and our server pointed this out to us...ummmmm, ok should we say thanks??? It was just disappointing that they offered no further apology or compensation on the check. Anyway, even though the food was good, we left dinner wet, stinking like beer and with a bad taste in our mouths.

I have been coming to Taqueria Feliz since it opened but I will no longer patronize this establishment. If you are Black you probably shouldn't either. My sister and I went in on a Sunday night to grab nachos and a drink at the bar. This was the first time my sister had been to the restaurant and just stopped by to visit me and grab a snack. Food and drinks aside, we were verbally and physically violated by a drunk patron. The bartender continued to serve this guy drinks while he continued to harass my sister and I. We are African-American and this man went on a racist rant about his "White Privilege" while the bartender and manager did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop him. The other patrons also just watched, which is whatever. But after my sister and I asked for him to stop bothering us, he only became more disrespectful. We asked for the check and the bartender was either in shock or oblivious because he just stood there. He even gave the guy another beer. After aggressively asking for the check and telling the guy to get out of our face, we finally left. I came in later to make a complaint and all I got was a "we're really sorry that happened". I will never go back to Taqueria Feliz, which is unfortunate. However, I refuse to give my money to an establishment that condones this kind of behavior. Their response was repulsive and I am surprised because I would go there fairly often. However, to them I am just another tab. Once I find their other social media page I will continue to share this message. We can not allow this behavior to continue and it shouldn't be tolerated. I'd rather spend my money at a place where I am respected.

Windows were open on a cloudy Saturday in mid June when we stopped for brunch around 11am. I had the Chorizo y Huevos and daughter had the Breakfast Tacos, both were very good. Service was brisk (we were the first ones in the restaurant, so it had better have been), coffee was copious, and the wait staff was gracious and competent. Food came out quickly (good thing cuz we were HUNGRY). Had it been dinnertime I would have tried the blackened Mahi Mahi or the Carolina BBQ Shrimp. I would go back.

We were about 15 - 20 adults (most of our kids are in school together) supporting some of the adults (parents) playing at the Grape Room. After attending the performance we all walked across to Taqueria Feliz to eat and then go home. About six of us went to the restaurant first to secure space. We were seated and ordered drinks and were looking at the menu for food. The others then joined us and we could not all sit together so they began ordering their drinks and were told that they would not be able to have drinks because one member of the party seemed inebriated. Meantime the first group was still awaiting their drinks and had ordered food. The food came out and only some of us had received our drinks so we enquired and were told that we could not be served because of a member being inebriated. Whilst discussing the rules with the manager (who was probably half the age of most of us), we were told that it was the law and that if they served anyone in the party they could share drinks with the person/persons who were inebriated. We were well, some of us already had drinks so we are unclear how this works. The Manager got terse and was more annoyed than we were. Needless to say we did not end on a great note. The food was great but the service was not in our minds consistent nor courteous

Excellent Marguerita's matched with great, fresh Mexican specialities. Excellent guacamole and accompanying bites. A welcome addition to Main St. Manayunk, we left Taqueria Feliz after eating and drinking here, feeling muy feliz!

The food is good but nothing special. I'd go back again though. They have good happy hour specials. The nachos and corn is my favorite.

We enjoyed delicious pork carnitas and fish tacos. Very well seasoned! Chips and salsa came out hot! Drinks were yummy as well. Will definitely go again!

Not the worst Mexican food I have had, but certainly not the best. The place was very busy and loud. Most the dishes had a smoked flavor including the re-fried beans. This through off the experience for me. The service was good and they took off a couple of items that were not to our liking. Also the pricing is on the high side. You would expect to at least have chips and salsa as a complimentary side but that is extra. Not worth the money.

The good: almost everything really! Nachos and fish tacos are awesome. Margaritas taste like fresh squeezed lemon juice, not cheap mixer from the supermarket. Decor is lovely. Service is very good. Manayunk is a really cool town with lots to do. The bad: very noisy. They didn't use any soundproofing material and it shows. It gets really busy so I would try to make reservations if in a hurry.

I just moved to the area and have eaten there by myself, on dates and with family. The food is awesome and I am a person who has traveled in Mexico many times. . Margaritas are a little sweet for my taste but they are very accommodating. Highly recommend it. Great fun vibe!

We stopped here on our way to Philadelphia from Central New York. We got off the highway on a whim and ended up at this wonderful restaurant where they were serving a lunch and brunch menu. The wait staff were very accommodating and seated us immediately. The manager came over and chatted with us about who we were and where we were headed and gave us great tips about the city and places to go. Everyone was very friendly and the food service was great! Our orders were taken promptly and the food was delivered and was very, very delicious! I would highly recommend eating here and we will be stopping here on our way back to Philadelphia again! Excellent!

Early dinner mid-week. No problem being seated though I understand there are no reservations. Service prompt, food fine. Plenty of gluten free for my dinner partner. Modest prices. Enormous portions; sharing appeared to be acceptable at other tables though we did not. Noise level moderately high. Bourbon on the rocks seemingly inexpensive ($7.00) but the pour was miniscule. No complaints but no raves either.

We've been here countless times. Recommend the nachos, sangria, chicken tacos, grasshopper tacos, esquites..... Basically everything <3<3<3

Well we went to this place after reading mixed reviews we didn't know what to expect and wanted to give this place a chance because we really like Mexican food. Well first we started with the bacon and fig guacamole. We were greatly impressed with it. Next my wife got the pork carnitas tacos and there was 3 of them and they were delicious. I ordered the carne asada and wasn't impressed. First, the carne asada wasn't really tender at medium well nor was it flavorful. Next, the beans that came with the meal were not good at all, but dry and seasoned with something that was overbearing. It tasted like to much cumin was added. The pico de gallo was good on the side and so was their ordinary guacamole. Would I rush back here to eat again? The answer is no. I wasn't impressed, but my wife's soft taco's were amazing.

This was the perfect venue for Valentine's Day. We visited the restaurant in Horsham. We started with drinks and they were delicious. The purée in the mango margarita was fresh and delightful. We had brisket tacos. They were really incredible. Very different and we ate every bit. We shared the steak and shrimp fajitas and they were oh so yummy. Our waitress was just lovely and very professional. It was such a nice date! We will be back for sure!

We were wandering through Manayunk on a beautiful Saturday before a soccer game at St. Joseph's and decided to check this out on a whim. What a great find. The menu was very interesting and the food was terrific. Service was excellent. Since it was such a nice day the place was wide open and we got to enjoy the fresh air while we ate. Highly recommended!

Went here with my husband and my two oldest children, 18 & 13. We all ordered a different choice of tacos and they were some of the best taco's i've had in Philadelphia and the surrounding area. Extremely fresh and flavorful & simple. The menu is simple and to the point which I appreciate. The sides are simple and just full of flavor. They even have cricket taco's for the brave. Great beer and tequilla selection. Service was on point any time i've gone and they had good music playing. Overall, this is one of my go to spots when I want a delicious, simple dinner and good drinks after a long day at work.

We enjoy this place and usually order the Tortilla soup which is hearty and full of delicious chicken. We also enjoy the generous helping of guacamole with excellent salsa and chips. The atmosphere is very welcoming and everyone seems to be having a good time--including the waitstaff.

Tried a few of the "different" items and we were glad we did. Chicken skin tacos? Yum. Korean BBQ pork Belly? Delicious! Ceviche? Really really good! The margaritas were handcrafted and very good. No regrets with this one except want to try more from the menu (fish tacos). ;)

So it was a warm Saturday and we were in town for a family celebration later on in the evening. The plan was to go seek out cheesesteaks, but I just couldn’t do it. Philly will never run short on on cheesesteaks, so I’d rather save that for a weekday that finds us in Philly on a whim. So that opened up the door for plenty of more options. Then hitting up Manayunk was suggested. I started doing just a regular Google search and fell upon Taqueria Feliz. Being a native Southern Californian, I’m cautiously optimistic about Mexican food on the East Coast, but I’m willing to give it a shot. So we got there and it was still Brunch time. So I appreciated that the menu wasn’t a couple of pages. It was simple. I ordered a Spinerita, and was ready for some food. We ordered Guacamole with a Fried egg and it came with their Chipotle Morita salsa. The yolk added an delicious richness. The salsa had a great bold flavor too, not too spicy. For entree’s, I opted for the Ensenada Style Fish Tacos. They were great. The batter wasn’t heavy at all. The tilapia was fresh. And everything that was in the taco really complimented each other. And it was enough for one person. The other entree was the Carnitas tacos. Those were amazing, had a good crispy touch and were still full of great flavor. The service was really good. Our server was friendly and there was a good crowd for a Saturday brunch. So did it pass the “California Test” ? In my opinion, it did. I can’t wait to find another reason to be in Manayunk and trying something else on the menu at Taqueria Feliz!

Everything was fresh and super delicious. Best margharitas! Hubby loved the Moonshine Rita, I had a regular. Guacamole is creamy, yummy! Fish tacos and Lamb barbacoa our faves.

The food was authentic Mexican and pretty good. Super cheap at $10-13/person. With 2 apps and drinks it was just $100 for 4 people. The service was great and the food came out SUPER fast. We were borderline rushed so if I ever go back I won't place the app order until we're settled in.

Ate here for a late lunch/early dinner with my family. Very enjoyable meal. The guacamole is delicious and the tortilla soup was hearty and filling. My family had the pork tacos and raved over there. Nice little restaurant for lunch or casual dinner. A little pricey considering they don't really "give" you anything with your tacos, no rice or beans etc.

I have been here three times and enjoyed every one of them. I highly recommend ordering off the beaten path: try the cauliflower tacos and the grasshopper tacos. You won't be sorry. The margaritas are so good, and they don't skimp on the tequila. Service is fast and friendly. Don't hesitate to eat at the bar if there's a wait for a table. It's fun up there!

Went here for dinner on a weeknight, so noise level was moderate. The tilapia, smoked marlin, and pork tacos were all fantastic. Guacamole was more avocado than spice, but fine with me! Service was good, just a little overbearing. Good margaritas, too.

As I strolled down Main Street in Manayunk I was lured to this restaurant by their little sidewalk sign advertising a coconut basil margarita. I had to stop and try this. So glad I did. I can't wait to go back and try some of their delicious looking food choices.

We had a great time here. We sat outside and the food, drinks, and service were all excellent. The prices were very reasonable. I was told that the recipes were very authentic and not overly Americanized. The portion sizes were good- and were not huge like they have become as some restaurants. I did not try the crispy grasshoppers, so you are on your own with that one.

We were there with 3 couple, table for 6. It was after 8pm and the restaurant was 1/2 empty, but it was still really noisy. Taqueria Feliz is on the main street in Manayunk, a trendy little area in the Northern reaches of Philadelphia. It is very conveniently located and the street metered parking is free after 8pm, and easy enough to find a spot. The restaurant is in an old building with high ceilings (might account for the noise, but there must be something they can do about it...). The menu is short. They do tacos. We were there for Taco Tuesday - $3 off any taco. The tacos come in groups of 3, except for the fish tacos which are larger and come 2 to a plate. I had the tuna tacos. The tuna was a bit over cooked, but it was tasty, even though the plate was a little spare. The fish tacos looked wonderful, like tempura fish in a taco. The cauliflower tacos were also really good. The meat tacos were standard. The chips are wonderful, but you have to pay for them. The bowl of guacamole was a little steep at $8, but it was good. There is a good beer list. Chips and Guacamole, 6 plates of tacos and 3 beers came to $120 with tip. $40 per couple, $20 per person.

I was really pleased with the menu and service at Tacqueria Feliz. We had to wait 45min for a table, but it was worth it! We started off with traditional chips and salsa and I ordered the cherry margarita to go with my Korean BBQ tacos. The tacos were fabulous and different (in a good way!) and I would recommend them to anyone. The margarita was so-so...I've had much better. As for the chips and salsa, it's always a pain to be charged for them ($9.00 for guacamole!) but they were, too, very good. Cool experience and really nice place to hang out with friends.

Great drinks, and taco selection. The brussel sprout tacos sound odd, but trust me, They're AMAZING! And the prices and drinks are so reasonably priced, its worth a weekly trip!

If you think mexican food is always greasy, fat and cheesy! You re wrong! Here the dishes are so balanced, a lot of fresh vegetables, unexpecting flavors, taco s well made. A nice restaurant to visit with friends or family

As you drive down the main drag of Manayunk you quickly realize that the Millennials have taken over this town...and that's not a bad thing - unless we're talking about Mexican Food. The trend in mexican food is to make it cute and different. That just doesn't work for me. I want "meat and potatoes" mexican. I shouldn't have to order my meal to get chips and salsa delivered to the table, Beans and rice shouldn't be considered extras - Hell, they're the backbone of mexican food and the dinner servings shouldn't look like appetizers...the guac servicing size was a bit of a joke. The food was good, not great - good. I'm not sure what all these rave reviews are for. The amount of options on the menu was pretty limited. As a vegetarian I didn't see much of all quite honestly. Overall, if you're starving for real mexican food - get in your car and drive to Taqueria La Michoacana in Norristown. If you're starving and don't have the time for that an you'll do just fine at Taqueria Feliz.

Very good stop in Manayunk. Laid back and colorful place. Breakfast platter was excellent and a must try is the sweet plantain with the crema. Delicious!

Very cute place in Manayunk. Bar is vibrantly coloured and very welcoming. Staff are friendly, food is good and so are the drinks. Happy hour menu is brilliant.

Just stopped in at the new Taqueria Feliz in Horsham. It's in the building where the old Ristorante Mediterraneo used to be, for anyone who remembers those days. They've done a nice job converting the space to a light, bright diner-type atmosphere, with nice booths and some tables, and a very cool Day of the Dead mural on one wall. The food is on par with the original Philly location - great carnitas, nice juicy pork with just enough crisp cracklings. Unfortunately no al pastor was available the day I was there, but maybe next time. Excellent craft beer selection was appreciated by all adults at our table of 4. The only person who left unhappy was my daughter, and that's just because she was expecting Taco Bell style food instead of more traditional Mexican tacos. I'm working on getting her to appreciate new tastes. This place will get popular fast in Horsham.

Enjoyed a meal here last night. Tacos are top-notch, including al pastor ( pork with pineapple and a slice of avocado), as well as brisket (suadero) which was served with a picante(spicy) salsa. The serving of 3 tacos in each order was perfect to share, and the meat was perfectly prepared. For a small amount extra,$1.50, you can share unlimited warmed nacho chips and salsa. Liquor license( including the requisite beers (Corona, etc). Desserts come from a boutique across the street, which include a delectable little Tres Leches. Note: Bar busy on weekend nights, and can be loud, but fun atmosphere. Same owners as Cantina Feliz on Fairmont Ave. and also in Fort Washington. Menus are similar, but a few different items make it worth a meal.

We stopped by taqueria feliz to eat something not expecting anything. Everything was great, including friendly staff, great food and great price. We went around 2 pm and were told menu was between brunch and dinner... I imagine that dinner menu must be great and will go back. We started with chips salsa and guacamole, all great, made fresh. I had the chicken tacos and it was different from all tacos I had before. Healthier and more creative... Very good surprise!

Great bar restaurant. The price I'd say is mid ranged and they have a good selections of drinks. The Food is good and the services has always been great there! They even have chapulines tacos (grasshoppers for you gringos)! Not too many places have them but its worth trying out this delicacy. And there tortilla soup is spot on!

High scale taco bell , their bar is what's going good for them. It seats a good group, they are a little pricey for the "tacos" they sell. Their guac seems pasty, more like packaged and not fresh. That might be me though, I've seen a different variety of styles of how guac is made. Overall it was OK , I would come back for their brews and the Jalisco old fashioned.

Stopped in for dinner the other night. Very small but nice place. Nicely decorated and great views out the many windows. The hostess and waiter were VERY friendly. They had a very nice menu and an unexpectedly large list of tequilas. The food and drink were very good and appeared very fresh as well. I've paid a lot more at well-known establishments for worse food. I would definitely recommend this place!

The atmosphere is laid back yet still fun and bright. The bartender Shanna is wonderful. She talks to all her customers, puts her own spin on drinks as requested and has great recommendations. The brussel sprout tacos are a must try!

This food is good. Really really good. And the atmosphere is fun and vibrant. The service was great and the food was delicious. The shrimp ceviche is not your traditional ceviche but it’s really tasty. We also had the chefs special of the day, shrimp enchiladas topped with crab meat. Amazing! And I highly recommend the margaritas. I had a guava margarita...Very good and pretty strong! I would definitely visit again!

Friendly staff made us feel welcome. Good, hearty Mexican fare in a lively, brightly decorated atmosphere. We had fish tacos and guacamole. Our 5 year old had pancakes. Everyone was happy.

Walked in caught by the great decor and atmosphere....Food was okay and quite spicy while the waiter wansnt the greatest left us without refills.... One time only place for me

We stopped in for lunch. We were greeted and seated quickly. There is a lunch special for $14.95 with a choice of appetizer and entree. Jim had the tortilla soup- it had big chunks of chicken and avocado- then the carnitas lunch bowl. I had the guacamole which came with really good chips -hot, thick and salty- then brisket enchiladas. The lunch special also includes a soda or iced tea. The food was very good. We split the oatmeal cookie sundae for dessert. It was great! We’d been there last year for dinner and this was our first time for lunch.

Great escape from the rain after work. Met a friend here and we had the Happy Hour "small nachos" and some margaritas. Yum! Drinks are fresh and don't use syrup. Nachos were hot and plenty to share. Service was fast and friendly. Good ambiance.

We are just visiting Philly and now I'm going to miss the Korean BBQ tacos every single day. They were amazing and I love the vegan option in a taqueria. My son ate the al pastor tacos and wanted more when they were gone. We will definitely be back! Great food, great service and comfort during COVID.

I have been to Taqueria Feliz more than a few times and my most recent visit was to see if things had gotten better since my last visit-sadly it is not the case! First-They still charge you for chips and salsa! This is blasphemous in a Mexican establishment and they aren’t that good! Secondly, the wait staff do a poor job with attentiveness and efficiency of getting orders correct! I wish they were more friendly too-but I guess they get by with a good ‘Happy Hour’ Menu and semi-tasty tacos! I tried the chicken skin tacos this visit and they were spicy and yummy! I feel it is a cool spot to stop thru on your way to dinner!

Love this restaurant. Has great food and a great vibe! Service is attentive but not smothering. Chips are light and crisp. Guac is the best. Could use a little more cilantro. I'm sure if you ask they will accommodate.

We came in midday for nachos and margaritas. You’d think they could manage that, but the food was bad and the service was some of the worst I’ve ever seen.

An unassuming restaurant in downtown Manayunk, Taqueria Feliz served some of the best tacos I have ever eaten. I ordered the taco flight, a special of the evening. It had a brisket, steak and shrimp taco, each prepared with its own special ingredients. The margaritas were made just right. The staff was friendly and courteous and the service great. I would definitely eat there again.

Being a lover of Mexican food, I was extremely excited when I stumbled upon this place after going all day without food. Since the Nachos & Salsa wasn’t free as in most Mexican Restaurants, an order was placed, while deciding on the main entrée. A party of 5 whom arrived after I, somehow received 2 orders of Nacho before I. I had to inquire about them. Once received they Nachos were warm, but flavorless. I ordered chicken quesadilla & a Shirley Temple.....again flavorless. I’m not certain how one could mess up cherry juice & sprite but they did. Not a place to revisit

Great atmosphere, good margaritas (and skinny margaritas), and delicious appetizers! Indoor seating (open air during warmer months) as well as outdoor tables to people watch along Main Street while enjoying your food and drinks. The chicken taquitos were amazing and are served with salsa verde which is made with avocado. Yum!!! I also recommend the shrimp ceviche and guacamole...both excellent. We only had drinks and snacks so I can't speak for the dinners but I did see many as they were served and looked just as delicious. I would definitely return and recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good Mexican food!

Were the food not so stellar, I would rate this experience a 4, however the quality of the food trumps mediocre service. Surprising as there were only three tables occupied at the time, Chips were perfect. not close to perfect, perfect. Warm, crispy, the scantest layer of oil, just enough to flavor and hold the salt. Yep, chips the way that they should be. The guacamole is a celebration of the avocado. Lights seasoned, not a single ingredient overbearing.Nice! the house salsa is outstanding, perfectly laced with chipotle. Warm to the tongue but not hot. Pork Carnitas were earthy and robust. The belle of the ball was with out question the cauliflower tacos. Not my usual go to, however they intrigued me. And WOW! Roasted numeric infused cauliflower, a red chile garbanzo puree, avocado, cucumber, tomato, and a lemony yogurt dressing. No question that they will star in our meal on the next trip back.

There was great anticipation for the opening of Taqueria Feliz on Main St. There is a great need for some quality Mexican Food in this area. The place is small, so there tends to be a wait for seats. I suggest, if you just want to check it out - try going immediately after work to try Happy Hour. Happy Hour is a cool - $5 Food Menu and there are discounted drinks. Also on Tuesdays, all Tacos are $3.00 off. Try the fish tacos. The food is ok - the staff are semi-friendly - if the staff were nicer and the food better, I would give more stars.

Our plans for dinner fell through thanks to the snow, and we're glad we stumbled upon a fun place with good drinks and tasty food. Cozy but not small, casual but not a dive, and with friendly service, it's a good place to hang at the bar with friends, or enjoy dinner as a couple or a group. We liked the gaucamole with chips, and loved the nachos with beef. But watch out for the 3-Chili Margarita! Don't jug it! Spicy! Unique, and nice!

I busted with my family and decided to order take out since wait was 1 HR. After having to ask for chips & salsa after placing our order and waiting at the bar, everything was fine. I order 1 grilled fish taco entree, 1 fried fish taco entree, and 1 child grilled fish taco meal that was to come with a drink. I even tipped as if I was sitting in the restaurant. On my way home bc I didnt check before we left, I got a fried kids fish and no drink even offered which I forgot about totally. I called back and only 2 options offered. Drive 20 min back for refund or return for corrected order and drink. By now it's late so we had to switch around food and I got shirted a fish taco. The manager knew I was coming back for a trip that would waste gas and 40 mins round trip with difficult parking. No offer to return kids meal and just make the correct grilled taco for my inconvenience. I will not return here!

We love this place! While it's surely a great place to catch a game or take a date for a casual dinner, we love it as a family spot. When we want to take our kids (6 and 7) to a place with creative food, good bar selections, and a great kids menu, this is our #1 spot. It's also got top notch service. At our last visit, our server and the team was unbelievable. It was the best service we've had in a restaurant in years - including fine dining.

The chips come out warm, and there is a really excellent salsa provided alongside. Very good guacamole. I like to have some guac with chips first, and then save some guac to go with my entrée, which lately has been their enchiladas. YUM! It is a somewhat cozy space inside, and usually quite energetic. There is also a bar. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've found, in my recent move to Philly.

A friend and I have gone there when we have a craving for Mexican Food, however, the parking makes it difficult and we don't go that often. . A restaurant closed on Midvale near us so we decided to give it another try. We really like their pork carnitas tacos. and guacamole. My friend likes their Margaritas. We are boring and order the same thing, however, service is going down hill. No water, drinks took forever. The dessert was slow to arrive. There must be a new manager as the atmosphere seems to have changed. Service was fair, meal was fair but I think it is time for a new restaurant where you don't have to struggle to park.

Taquieria Feliz is located on the very urban Main Street of Manayunk. Nicely situated between several dessert cafes, nail salons and several other non mainstream businesses. A welcome departure. I visited Taqueria Feliz with my sister-in-law, 8 year old nephew and his friend. The servers are polite, friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is brand new having just opened in October 2013 so the place was packed and getting a reservation was difficult. It was worth it. We started with chips and the freshest of fresh guacamole. Our server was only too happy to keep refilling the chips and guac. My sister-in-law got a Margarita and my nephew got a Virgin Magarita. The bar was busy and very loud with the TV set to the football game and so my nephew and his friend were occupied in trying to watch that. I got the delicious Brisket Soft Tacos. You get three open soft shell tacos. They have a nice spicy punch to them and are excellent. A great way to do the brisket and not only did I eat it all but when my nephew didn't want the cabbage from his fish taco, which he loved and ate up, he gave me the cabbage to finish, which also had a nice kick to it and made a nice side dish with the brisket surprisingly enough. The Fish Tacos can be ordered as one or two, so my sister-in-law shared hers with my nephew and his friend got a cheese quesadilla, which he loved. A really delicious meal. FYI: This restaurant is new, so make reservations to be safe. Get there with plenty of time, because it's metered on street parking and can be tricky even though there are lots where you can pay, we were trying to avoid that extra charge. Luckily we found a spot on the street. Additionally the restaurant gets loud so be prepared to have loud ambient background noise. If you want a quiet eating experience, don't go to Taqueria Feliz. I recommend it highly and would go back for lunch or dinner.

We used to live in Manayunk; it's hard to keep up with the restaurants and eateries on main street that have opened and closed since we moved out of town. Taqueria Feliz is one that opened well after we moved out and we're very happy we finally gave it a try. It'll be the first of many future visits. We each did the lunch combo deal; we each chose the kale salad. She got the chicken tacos for the second course and I went with the carnitas. The kale salad was nicely dressed and featured very fresh ingredients, radish, shaved Brussels sprouts. It had crispy chickpeas that were actually crispy (it's a popular ingredient that I have bad luck with- they're stale or cold etc.). Her chicken tacos were amazing- stewed, tender chicken, some pickled cabbage... my carnitas tacos were even better. The pork was slow roasted, pulled then crisped somehow...the proteins in both sets of tacos are much more than you get in other such ristorantes for the price. So much food. For $14.95 you get a kale salad (pictured) that you can eat for 10 minutes without so much as making a dent. There was nothing lunch portioned about the platters of tacos either. At the risk of sounding cheap, when we saw that they charge for chips and salsa, which admittedly is not uncommon nowadays (does cafe noche still do that? are they still open?), they charge extra for fresh fruit in a margarita (our Santana was amazing but didn't come with so much as a garnish of lime) and in general we got the initial impression that they nickle and dimed customers. This turned out to be false. We left very satisfied- I hope the extra revenue translates into a long lasting establishment on a street where only a handful survive for years.

My wife and I and another couple dined here last night because we heard the food was really good Mexican. It was. So was the service. But the noise level was excruciating. All surfaces are very hard, and with the place full, the din makes it very difficult to converse. Maybe this is desirable for twenty-somethings, but not for anyone else. We definitely won't be going there again.

In the south the best Mexican restaurants are like the BBQ joints. Often in a converted gas station or small strip mall with work van beaters, Mercs, Pickup trucks, and Beamers all crowded into the lot. A line out the door. Mmmmm. Miss having so many choices. So we were delighted to have dinner with the kids in Manyunk on Main at Taqueria de Feliz. A notch better than most. Maybe two notches. Not just the usual, either. Good drinks, cold beer, great tacos and mains. All fresh but recognizable. We will be back because of the food, with or without our kids!

Just went out for a quick bite and found a hidden gem Service was FAST Food was EXCELLENT drinks are wack but 2 outta 3 works for me I’ll be back

Relatively new restaurant on Main St in Manyunk that was recommended to us by a friend. Although It's probably a half an hour drive from our home, it was well worth the trip. The fish tacos and margueritas were the best I've ever had. It has a casual ambiance and the wait staff and servers were all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are more than reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Afterwards, we enjoyed a walk along Main Street in Manyunk, which is a true treasure in itself. Highly recommend and definitely plan a return visit.

My birthday girlfriend and I each got the 2 course lunch special for $14.95. Fresh and yummy. Service was friendly and fast (although it was Monday and they weren't busy). I'd definitely like to come back in the evening and try one of their cocktails or sangria. She got beef enchiladas, I got chicken tinga tacos for entrees, a chopped salad and guacamole and chips for apps. Yum!

If you are looking for Mexican food... don't go here. It is absolutely not Mexican food...it is not a Mexican restaurant. I was expecting Mexican food, because of the menu and restaurant's name. The tacos al pastor was nothing compared to real tacos al pastor, terrible tacos. No salsas, no Mexican music, just to name something. Terrible food.

The atmosphere is festive whether you dine inside, outside, or at the bar. We love the tortilla soup, and enjoy the fiery crab guacamole, the pork carnitas, and cauliflower tacos. Margaritas and bloody Marias (brunch) are nice too.

What a fantastic place to meet friends. The food is exceptional and the ambiance is just perfect. The place is busy so make sure to reserve a table ahead of time. You will not be disappointed. Every dish I have had has been deliciously unexpected.

A simple place, not fancy, good for a quick bite. The menu is limited but they do have gluten free and vegetarian options.

I love Mexican food, but this place isn't for me. The food wasn't that warm and didn't impress me in looks or in taste. Everything seemed like things I could make at home (and I'm not a good cook). The margarita I had on a different visit was great though. So I'd suggest stopping in for drinks and chips and salsa, not dinner.

I ordered the cauliflower tacos which were surprisingly good. My husband ordered the carnitas tacos. They were authentic and delicious. We also recommend getting the guacamole!

Very Similar to the establishment in Fairmont, this restaurant is a solid decision. The location on mainstreet is fantastic to both people watch or relax and have a beer. The establishment is well decorated with very friendly and helpful staff. I enjoy this location for both dinner and sitting at the bar. The menu is diverse of wonderful food options and tasty beverages. You can't miss the mark here even if you try. Something for everyone.

My wife and I shared distinguished Korean BBQ broccoli tacos and some of the tastiest nachos we have ever had. This place is worth a visit when in Manayunk.
Fish tacos
Best I ever had. Grilled tilapia and airy light flour tortillas. Husband had chicken tacos on corn tortillas (gluten free). Many options for g. f.
