I"m sure the Chinese food is about the same as anywhere else in SA. BUT go for the Pho, spring rolls and Vietnamese food. Eating Pho soup with chop sticks should be taken as a fun challenge...though they will give you forks and knives if you want. Eat in the smaller section on the right for the best service, you'll find most everyone there eating the pho or Vietnamese dishes. The dinner menu is huge, and the egg foo yung is very good...just have them serve the sauce on the side.

Ladies room dingy and not in very good repair - toilet paper stacked on side rail in stall - yuck (though the toilets and sink were clean). Heavy handed on the corn starch used as a thickener. The food was reasonably priced, and it was hot. I wouldn't return, but it was "okay".

My fiance and I stopped in here today for lunch and were very disappointed. He had the lemon chicken and I had the general chicken. Both come with a bowl of your choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup. We both love a good egg drop soup but this was terrible. It was too thick and all egg yolks. Then came the entree, the egg rolls were limp and tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long, and the entrees were just blah. There was nothing really special about them. The meat tasted like frozen fried foods and the sauces were pretty much bland. The service was mediocre and the prices were decent but we could have paid the same at Phoenix Cafe over on Blanco and West and had a much better meal. However, we did not try the Vietnamese fare. Neither of us have done Pho and we were not in the adventurous mood. So maybe we just missed out on the good stuff. Either way I doubt we will go back

I have tried many other places here in town and I keep coming back. Quan, Fong, Duke & Marie are great people! They have seen my kids grow up in their establishment. Some tips, I never order from the Chinese menu. The really good stuff is the Vietnamese menu. The Pho is quite simply the best. Over the years friends have taken me to their favorite Pho spots. I sit there an eat my food and say yup it is good. Next time meet me at Taste of Asia. I always say, it might not be as good as your place - ha ha in 8 out of 10 cases they look up from their bowl with "wow" in their eyes. I also like their Egg Foo Young. I usually order the summer rolls, mix up the peanut sauce, crushed peanuts and the red chili sauce. The spring rolls are amazing . . but I don't order those very often. Thanks guys I hope to come back for many more years. Almost forgot to mention, the prices are GREAT!

I've been going here for over 10 years. The Spring Rolls are awesome and they are well known for their pho. I usually get the rice or noodles with pork, yummiest. It's not a chain and the servers on the smaller side of restutant are the best.

This is simply the best Pho in San Antonio... I have been eating here on and off for 5five years and it has always been great! Try the P31 with a side of spring rolls.

I love this place! If you are in need of some warm soup, this is the place. Just make sure you sit on the Pho Cong side of the resturant. You get better service!

It' a little confusing - this restaurant has two names, one is "Pho Cong" and the other is "Taste of Asia", but they are essentially the same place, with two different doors in a strip center. The interior is pretty generic, but the service we had was friendly and prompt. They have a great assortment of Pho options, all are reasonably priced. For our small family, it was a good place for everyone to get what they wanted, and the food was good (I recommend the brisket varieties of pho.). They also have an extensive Chinese food menu but we didn't try that.

Generous portions, large menu. Love the pho and gyoza. I try to hit this place every time I am in town. Quick service too. You won't be disappointed. Always has a crowd but big enough to accommodate no wait.

The spring roll appetizers are really delicious! They come in 3's with a side of fresh iceberg lettuce...you have got to try them. Today I ate P33 which is a vermicelli bowl with chicken and onion sauce. I highly recommend this place, if you're a picky eater you can also eat regular asian food, but definitely try the soup bowls

I went with my children this past Tuesday and decided I need to find someplace else to patronize. We have been eating here for the last 10 years and the recent poor service and mediocre food has pushed us to look elsewhere. The Pho is still ok but all of the other dishes(both Chinese and Vietnamese ) have slowly gone downhill. The service has also become slow and indifferent. It is a shame since this was the restaurant my children had their first Asian food in. There are better choices within a 5 mile radius.

Four of us had dinner at Taste of Asia. We ordered dishes from the Chinese menu offerings. All of the food was OK - not great, not awful. Service was average. Prices were average.

Located in a strip center but parking still difficult. Menu very average and characteristic of the decor in the place. Plateware classical plastic Asian stuff. Flavors not very excited. Sweet and sour soup amazingly sweet. Presentation boring. Missing the freshness of flavors I seek with this cuisine.

This is not off 410. It's out 281 N.

This place makes the best spring rolls in town! Homemade fish sauce is out of this world too. When you go you have to try both... My husband and I are frequent patrons and the owner remembers our drink order and our "usual". We drive all the way across town for the food.

I ordered lemon chicken and a big piece of fried chicken breast came out with a bowl of some kind of lemon sauce. That chicken had to have been cooked on a previous day just as my fried rice appeared to be. The chicken was so dry I could not eat it. My husband ordered General Cho which he said was very salty. He said it was good, but not great. He suggested I not go to the ladies’ restroom after he had visited the men’s room. The only thing here we can give a positive review to was the service. I would not go here again.

We have been eating at Pho Cong - Taste of Asia for over two decades and have NEVER had a bad meal or experience. The staff is always attentive and friendly and the food is always over the top perfect and authentic, especially the Vietnamese food. We have never been able to find a Vientanmese restaurant any where on this planet that equals Pho Cong............but we haven't been to Vietnam yet.

My husband loves pho we have our usual places but this time we decided to try something new... glad we did the appetizer was great my husbands pho looked good he loved it definitely coming back

Taste of Asia is a great little hole in the wall restaurant that serves both Vietnamese and Chinese food. Personally I love the Vietnamese that they serve but haven't liked the Chinese as well. They are packed at lunch every day and this is a well loved local place. They serve over 20 different kinds of Vietnamese soup called Pho which has a aromatic beef broth, rice noodles, basil, cilantro, onions and your choice of meat. I am a wimp and always get the brisket in mine but my husband is much more adventurous and orders the one with tendon. They also have Pho with tripe, meatballs, flank steak and chicken. They also serve vermicelli noodle bowls and my favorite it P31 which is a bowl of rice noodles, with grilled pork, shrimp and lettuce and is served with Nuoc Chom which is a fish sauce based sauce. Sounds gross but it is really good. The Vietnamese spring rolls which are fried and the summer rolls which are not are both really good.

The food arrives fast and hot. The vietnamese spring rolls are something I always to suggest to friends and family.

Great spring rolls and the Pho is 'Pho-nomenal'. Lunch is always busy time, but food comes out quickly and is delicious.

P17 and shrimp pho. Add an order of spring rolls and summer rolls. Perfect meal for 2 people. Best food ever. My husband and I have been eating there since we've been dating. Their broth is like no other. I've eaten pho everywhere and in many states and just can't get the same taste. Plus I always feel guilty when I eat someone else's pho. The place is older but they have a friendly staff!

I found out this restaurant has been there since the 70s, however, not until about five or six years did it get known for the great food they have. I have been going there at least 3 to 4 times per month to have the Pho soup. I have tried other Vietnamese restaurants in the state and in other states and I still believe Taste of Asia is the best. Not only do they have great food, but the staff is awesome; they make you feel at home.

My husband and I went in for lunch after seeing a mad long line at a pancake haus nearby. :) We looked this place up on trip advisor and it seemed legit. It was! Food was great, we enjoyed pho with round steak and brisket. We also ordered these summer rolls that were fried and they were delicious!!! Waiters are quick, food comes out promptly and it's clean. I must say it was very busy in there.

The Pho is tasty and cheap!

Years ago, this was a great spot for Vietnamese food, but this visit was a disappointment after several years away. The decor is dingy. The spring rolls were still good, but the vermicelli bowls lacked flavor and the usual vegetables of cucumbers, sprouts and shredded carrots. It was just meat, noodles and shredded head lettuce. Very disappointing. In addition, my husband's noodles were still crunchy. Would not go back.

I use to eat at this restaurant weekly, but through the months I noticed the quality in flavor of the food was dropping, so I stopped going again for about 2 years and went back again on 12/3/2008 for lunch, I had a bowl of soup (PHO) it was too salty and they either put too much msg or soup base in the soup, my wife had a terriyaki type chicken plate with rice, raw veggies and an egg roll, this plate was also bland.... I recommend Lien Hung off Remount ST and I-35 Highway and the main intersection is Eisenhauer. This place looks like a whole in the wall but the food and especially the Pho is not the Best in the world but very acceptable. Peace!

Pho (vietnamese soup) is wonderful here. I usually get P17 combo. It comes with eye round steak, flank, brisket and tendon, sliced thin served with rice noodles, fresh bean sprouts, basel, cilantro, thinly sliced onions and fresh jalapeno peppers. You can skip the noodles and ask for extra bean sprouts, if you are watching your carbs. Nice healthy low carb high protein dish. I have had Pho all over the country. This one compares very well to the good ones. Fried spring rolls are my guilty pleasure. Dipped in fish sauce and eaten with fresh crisp iceberg lettuce. wonderful. I eat this stuff for lunch once a week, at least. Vietnamese iced coffee is strong and rich. I love it. Very resonably priced. Good place for a hearty and tasty lunch.

The spring rolls are the best I've had in SA in years. I love the pho with the soft tendon! So delicious! And a bowl big enough to feed a family. However the service could use a little tweaking. I come here for the food, not the atmosphere. I've been here many times and plan on returning.

Have to remember that the place doesn't reopen until 5pm. One order of Pho is all my wife and I need for dinner, though we sometimes also get the fried spring rolls. This is a good take-out meal. It is easy to just throw everything together, but I prefer to chop all the ingredients up before combining and so no need for fork or sticks. It is an excellent spicy meal.

Checked around for a pho place not far from airport and saw this on TA. It locates in a strip mall with amble parking. It is a little deceiving from the sign with the main name and next to it another name. The window is tinted dark so it's hard to see inside. It took a few minutes to make sure I was going into the correct place. Two different names but it's the same taste of Asia. There are plenty of tables and staffs had me sat down pretty quick. I ordered bowl of meat pho normal size. They also provide lot of cilantro, lime and sprouts. The pho had lot of meat and broth tasted good. Also ordered ice coffee and came out with the traditional Vietnamese coffee maker and large glass of ice. Overall the pho is good with nice flavor and staff was helpful.

Taste of Asia has been around forever. And it's always pretty busy, despite its depressing lighting and bare-bones atmosphere. It's a favorite for the local constabulary, judging by the number of police cars parked in the lot (and they can't always be there for calls). I've been at Taste of Asia a number of times and their pho is good, I'll grant them that. But last time I went I saw they had egg fu young on the menu and I'm a sucker for egg fu young; it's hard to find in SA, so I ordered it. And it tasted pretty good. And the portion was enough for three people. So I took a lot home. And I was sick all night with one of those "they've gotta be using MSG" stomach aches. The next morning, I threw out my giant box of leftovers, regrettably, but I didn't want to chance another stomach ache (which continued to linger throughout the morning hours). So I'll recommend the pho. It's good, in fact, when I have a cold and no chicken soup handy, their pho does the trick.

My korean friends took us to their favorite Pho place. The summer rolls are good, The Pho is good, good amount of choices, i had the #19. Good flavor but needs a little more development, but added some fish oil, siracha, and this and good. The men's bathroom was small and a little dingy. Stay away from the chinese food, this is our second time here and still no improvement, better chinese food out of a frozen food section. If you are near this area, and want Pho, this is an average place.

The brisket pho is very good. They have the best vietnamese spring rolls in San Antonio . The pork vermicelli bowl with saute onions and spicy is excellent.

I have eatten lots of Pho, and this is by far the best. I drive across town for it 3-5 times a month. Also, the fried spring rolls are great! If you are ordering Pho for take-out, I recommend asking for the 'chili sauce with seeds,' which is what they call their homemade sri racha sauce....soooo good! And despite tasting great, the food is inexpensive" $6.00 for pho and I think $1.75 for spring rolls.

this place is ok. the portions were generous and the food was served in a timely fashion. the server was friendly. it's kind of confusing because there is another restaurant TA has listed, pho cong ly, right next door - but they are actually the same place. the spring rolls were wonderful! the pho we ordered had meatballs in it and they were like rubber. we tried the bean pudding for dessert. hands down the most 'interesting' dessert i have ever tasted!

We ended up here by mere Coincidence. The first impression is that of an Asian cafeteria/restaurant, simple decor, simple menu and not much more. To our surprise the food was better than what we expected. The soup was "tasty" the spring rolls where hand rolled and quite good and our main course (shrimp and Beef) was quite good. The only serve tea and sodas so NO wine on this lunch which is a downer. The service was very bad and had to leave the table to look for the waitress just to get her attention!! Its an experience but NOT much more

The Pho item P3 is great as is the P32 Vermicelli bowl. The Pho comes in a large bowl with an ample side dish of spices that you can add to suit. The P32 comes with a great spring roll. The service is excellent in the upstairs area. Prices are very reasonable and the servings are generous.

We had some out of state visitors and had to bring them to one of our very favorite Asian restaurants! Taste of Asia offers the most amazing Vietnamese food. From the vermicelli bowls to the rice plates to the most amazing pho anywhere. We have eaten pho at restaurants all over the world and this is the best place by far. The staff is always friendly and accomodating and again the food is alwasy perfection. The summer rolls and the spring rolls are always fresh and so very, very good. If you have not been then you have missed a real treat.

My son and I eat at this restaurant from time to time. We hadn't eaten here in a while, so we decided to go there recently. He had the lemon chicken and I opted for the fried Spring Rolls, which make a great meal substitute. Portions are large and food is good. Their ladies room needs some work, so don't visit it until you're ready to leave.

I have tried the spring rolls, lemon grass chicken vermicelli bowl and OMG the Pho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything is amazing and portions are huge. Mostly locals eat here. Excellent fast service always served fresh.

Very, very good. I'm a firm believer that the true measure of an ethnic restaurant is if there are people of that particular ethnic background eating there. Whenever we visit Taste of Asia, more than half of the clientele is Asian. In fact, on the Vietnamese side of the restaurant, it's almost totally all Vietnamese. The spring rolls are to die for! I usually have the sesame chicken, while my husband has the general joe chicken. The Chinese food is very good, although typical asian fare. However, the Vietnamese pho and spring rolls and other items are simply exceptional. They offer take out, too. In fact, more often than not, we do take out. I've loved everything I've ever eaten here. Try it, you'll love it, too.

I have loved this place for years, the food is great but the service completely depends on which side of the restaurant you sit on. It's bizarre, the service on the left main side of the place is some of the worst I have ever experienced anywhere but the waiters on the smaller right side are great. Ask for Phong, he's awesome.
Good Pho, try the one with eye round steak!
I like this little restaurant. It is not fancy, does not pretend to be fancy, does not charge fancy restaurant prices, but they serve good, solid, and constant quality Vietnamese food. I love their pho with eye round steak, and if you call ahead, and want to pick up your food, they will have everything ready to go when you arrive. Great to go service I must add!
