Gotta Go There!

By Julie C |

What an entertaining "hole in the wall!" We visited on Arts and Crafts Sunday and what fun that was. All the supplies to keep busy making some simple crafty things plus half price apps. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. They also provided some games to play. It's a place like I've never been before and was surprisingly FUN!

Gotta go

By twuble33 |

Went to South street with our son. Loved Tattooed Moms. It's definitely different from any other bar I have been to. Has a counter culture vibe. Super friendly staff and pretty much anything goes!

Great find

By Missy4travel |

Great little spot to grab a good beer during happy hour. It's quirky but clean and pleasant. Nice selection and the bartender we had (forgot her name she had to close out shortly after we arrived) we super friendly. We could tell a lot of locals were in the house so we took it as a good sign and stayed a while before heading to Jim's for a sandwich.

OMG!!

By newbie_to_cr |

What a great place! We felt so loved the moment we walked in! Being from the West coast, in town for an Eagles game, this was our first stop! Amazing service and such great food! Hubby had wings and raved about them, I had fried pickle sand and it was to die for! Don't hesitate, go here!!!

Cool Place

A fun " Hipster" joint on South Street. Games and lollypops on the bar while Old school punk rock is playing.i

Chill atmosphere, original menu

By InesTopaz |

My hostel recommandedthis place and i recommended to you. It's a nice place to meet with friends or go by yourself. The menu is orignal and every day you have a special thing going on. Today Monday you have half of the veggie Menu. I tried two cocktails which are pretty good. You should definitely try the Mango Bubble Rita. Waiters are nice. Place is full but if you wait a minute or 2 there will be some room for you Price Quality :)

Different, eclectic, fun!

What a cool place! Interesting decor, great service, and craft supplies on Sundays! We had a great time there and enjoyed trying something new!

Rad bar with amazing made to order cocktails and good food! Great Dive!

By Wrldtraveler365 |

This place was so cool! Based off the reviews I saw, I heard the food was good and that they offered a vegetarian fare as well. I started with the tater tots and veggie burger, both were great! You would think the food would be very mediocre because of the dive bar feeing and price, however it's Philly so the food was A++! Both were very flavorful and came out hot and fresh! For cocktails, It was the summer, so I started with a watermelon margarita martini. Wow, this place does it right! Probably one of the best, if not the best I've ever had! The price was inexpensive and I got to keep the leftover tin at my table, so I really got my money worth for a real full drink! I can't wait to return to this bar my next visit to Philly! While in the area at least step in for a drink or two! You will be impressed!

Highly recommended

Great place, amazing atmosphere and awesome drinks, been there couple times and always have a good time.

Kooky place with a cool vibe

By Jane H |

Went twice during our trip once at lunchtime which was cool but a little bit quiet, we returned the same night and the place was much busier, some fabulous tables with very grand chairs and golden bar stools, unusual cocktails (pickle martini - tastes as it sounds and pop rocket with popping candy in the drink) and little cracker toys to play with on the tablets. waitress was fab, very attentive and we didnt have to wait long for our drinks to be refreshed and as a lovely touch she brought us a shot each

Quirky & fun

By Connor R |

Love this place...great vegetarian menu items & the A$$ Basket rocks. How could you not love a place that gives you a bottle of sriracha without having to ask for it?!?! Friendly bartenders, toys on the bar to play with and bowls of dum-dum lollipops. Only bar on South Street worth going to, the rest pale in comparison

Great personality, even better food!

By Sean W |

This place combines the best Philadelphia has to offer in personality and food. A must-stop every time I am back in Philly.

Dollar tacos! Vegetarian options

By EH |

This spot is really cool with interesting artwork throughout. Went there for the first time on dollar taco night. Tacos were simple but good, beer is nice and cold, and the service was pretty good even though they were packed. Definitely becoming a favorite spot when in the neighborhood.

Awesome Drinks and Fun Ambience!

By Allison R |

If you’re looking to eat somewhere fun and interesting- this is a great place! Awesome and creative drinks. We got the Pop Rocket and there are pop rocks in it so you get the pops with each sip- very cool! Also got the Watermelon margarita that had cotton candy in it too. Their pierogies are great (plain, simple, but yummy) and I sure do love a place with tots! They didn’t have too many healthy selections to choose from and it’s a lot of fried food, but it’s tasty still. I wouldn’t come here if I wanted an entree with a fully balanced carb, protein, vegetable. More like hangout food. Service is nice and I’ve been here twice. Once where they have a lot of staff working so waits for drinks/food orders didn’t take long. This visit there only appeared to be 1 server for a fully packed place on a Saturday, so we had to wait a lot and find our own basket of napkins and silverware. I don’t believe it’s typically like that here though. Didn’t stop us from having fun- but we may have ordered more drinks had it been a bit quicker, lol! Definitely check it out!

Nice Trendy Joint

By Charles D |

Great atmosphere and a nice drink menu. Very trendy; they have bumper cars for you to sit in while you socialize. Very hip. Full of hipsters. Fun atmosphere.

It's weird but I like it!

By T J |

Walked into Tattooed Mom last Saturday during a Philly bar tour. First off, the walls are some weird greenish turquoise color, and there is random stuff on the walls and even outside(the spider thing??) With that said, as one reviewer mentioned this is a hipster type bar that doesn't seem to care if you're not one. My friends and I walked in, the bartender apologized that the bar seats were occupied(smokers outside) but mentioned that it was happy hour from 10-11pm and drafts were $2! (I think). Regardless, they had good draft selections, as well as an interesting rum drink that was on special for the day. The place wasn't that crowded so we found a table in the back. We didn't stay too long, but I liked the place and would return.

Unique

By katiea714 |

This is a very unique, quiet bar with interesting decor. It feels like a dive, but it seems as though it is going for the dive bar feel on purpose. We had a great time sitting in a cozy booth chatting with friends.

Very Cool

By Mary B |

This bar has a very cool vibe with great vegan options for food. Everyone was super nice and I love the pool tables.

Fun Place!

By phanteana |

Restaurant and bar attracts young crowd, but is also family friendly. Food was delicious and affordable, and decor is awesome!

Definitely worth going IN !!!!

By DiGi2711 |

I was a bit leery at first but I figured what the hell. Soooo glad we went in, totally different vibe. Decor was really cool, funky & hip. Food was DELISH !!!!! I would definitely recommend the Philly fries ( hot cherry peppers, cheese, & onions ) Chubby Hubby Wrap Drink wise, the Pink Puss

Fun bar scene!

By Hgtravl |

Last time I came, we didnt have the best food service but to be honest, I love this place so much I always come back. This time we came in the eve for some drinks at the bar. I love their bar counter- it is so cool. I love the decore- very hip. The bar tender was very good- our drinks never ran low and he was so friendly. A+ bar service hands down!

A cute place to grab a drink

By IslandSun20 |

We had to stop here as part of a scavenger hunt we were doing! It was early afternoon so it wasn't too busy. We decided to get drinks and they were all good! They have small little bar toys to play with and candy! It was a fun place!

Never disappoints

By kmissoni |

A local favorite with tons of fun vegan grub. Relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. Specials are out of this world!

Very different and fun

By Jennifer C |

We only went for drinks but loved it. I like that there are no tv's. The decor is different and fun unlike anything I have ever seen. The Pink Puss drink is great. Deff recommend.

Your Mom Goes Here

By Holidayna |

Leave your preconceptions at the door. This wild, artistic space is for anyone and everyone, and if you didn’t know it, there’s a little punk rocker in you waiting to come out. Drinks are amazing and will wet your whistle regardless of what you’re looking for. Service is great! Our server was available if we needed them, but didn’t hang onto us all night, it. Great spot. Lots of playful areas for photos. Will return again next time I’m in Philly

Fun bar with great happy hour

By John M |

This is a gem of a bar for happy hour. Good crowd and craft beer selection. They even have a happy hour with half prices drafts from 10 to 11 and its every night.

Cool place with great food and drinks!

By Carol M |

We had heard about Tattooed Mom from a friend and headed there right after landing in Philly. Very cool decor and awesome food and drinks. The Pickletini is what brought me back a second time. It is a definite place to visit when in Philly!

Bright spot, vegan food and cheap beer

By Chris L |

Stopped in with some friends to have a drink a couple of times when we were in town. Went back the following day for some lunch. I was happy to see they had a good offering of vegan dishes. I had the vegan chicken steak sandwich and some tater tots. Super cheap and super awesome. The space is very laid back with old couches and chairs and very colorful decor. Staff was really nice even if they tried to look not super nice :)

Kitsch and Graffiti

By A C |

If you’re looking for a truly unique bar look no further. TMoms is an institution of Philly that will just delight anyone of any age with its quirkiness and creativity. The drinks are very fun, the photo ops are as limitless as the years of stickers that plaster every inch of the place. I’ve been many times, but most recently to bring my little sister for her first legal adult beverage. We had a blast!

Odd name cool place friendly staff!

By ConsciousTravelers |

Tattoo Mom is what would happen if a punk rock art gallery made love to your crazy grandmas house. This eclectic restaurant bar carnival is unbelievable. You must stop in just to see the place. Cheap food specials daily. This is no trendy snooty yuppy hippy bar. The staff welcomes everyone. I had the $1 taco on Taco Tuesday! Loved them. Vegan and meat eaters can mingle here because the menu caters to both. I will be back again and again. Highly recommend but don't expect a 5 star experience it's a dive bar. I call it a 5 star dive bar.

Great spot!

By AngieRiley |

A few of my college friends and I met up at South street, which use to be one of our favorite hangout spots. This place still is a chill spot. The decor is very neat, service great, good specials. If you are visiting this is definetly a place is worth stopping by!

Tattooed Mom - awesome energy, great music, terrific service, delicious vegan food!

By maverickflyer |

It was late, and the places I frequent in Philly had closed for dinner. Upon searching for vegan friendly dining choices that were still open, I came upon Tattooed Mom and decided to head over for their Vegan Philly Cheese Steak. South Street has a fun vibe, and Tattooed Mom certainly reflects its energy. The young lady who took my order was totally awesome! She mentioned that the vegan burger was a special (and hence discounted) that day, and that the vegan cheese steak was outstanding. She was also very aware about how food was prepared, and shared that the vegan items on the menu that were fried were fried in the same oil as non-vegan items -- I really appreciated that! The vegan cheese steak came out quickly, and it indeed was absolutely amazing! It was just the right portion size (not too small, not too big, but just right), and the flavors were just wonderful! I should mention that the vegan cheese is daiya cheese. I know some folks don't appreciate its unique flavor, but I love it! I'm drawing a blank on the brand of ginger beer they served, but it was also fantastic! I am excited about discovering Tattooed Mom, and look forward to dining there again soon!

Awesome

Friendly, eclectic and interesting. Decent food, decent beer, decent music. Great atmosphere AND it's cheap. What more could you ask for. Put the wawa hoagie down and get yourself to the mom's.

Kinda a hole in the wall

Cool place

By Marc V |

If every town had a bar like this one I would be happy, nice range of beer and bar snacks with a cracking atmosphere. Downstairs is cool but upstairs is truly unique. Loved the vibe, loved the jukebox and nice staff

Something Left On South Street

By Baconisgoodforme |

At least there is one redeeming quality about South Street And Tattoed Mom's Is it!! They've great daily specials, great beers and great ambience! Sundays has arts and crafts!! Love this place!

Amazing atmosphere & fabulously fun staff.

By Donna H |

My daughter & I stopped in here for a nightcap & I am so glad we did. From the fun decor to the kiddie toys & suckers on the tables to the wacky decor & the delicious Pierogies, I wish I was in Philly more often! We had a cappuccino porter from Hawaii that was delicious & whatever you do be sure & order the pierogies with onions & sour cream!

Quirky

By ursulaob |

Cool place, offered M&Ms instead of typical bar snacks which is a plus in my book. And the bartender made a decent drink.

Pass!

By Kristy_Burns |

This is an eclectic place to say the least. The decor is mismatched items that look like they came from a thrift store. The tables have little dishes filled with dum dums and little frog toys, which we saw all over the floor. We went on a Saturday night and the place was dead. They had a wide variety of loud music playing which made it hard to talk. The highlight was $1 PBR's. We would not recommend this bar, nor will we be back.

Laid back fun in Philly!

By Datsyuk_Dangles |

Was really happy to stumble upon this place. Service was excellent, we enjoyed the food at the atmosphere was relaxing. Great daily specials too. Tall boy beer and hamburger was only $5 total when we went (Wednesday special)! The server found out we were from out of town and gave us free beer cozies as a thank you for coming! Nice touch! Will visit again when we return!

Cool atmosphere, bad service

By Alexandra J L |

I would never go back here! One of my friends did like it, and I have to admit the graffiti inside is cool. But if you're trying to get decent service or a quick drink- don't go here! When I went, the bartender was wearing sun glasses and we waited at the bar for at least 20 minutes before deciding to call it quits.

Yes.

By Ellenlyn |

If you're a young adult looking for a cool experience, you must go. If you're older person or even a little shy, just go earlier in the day. It is eclectic, artsy, fun, even seemingly slightly trashy, but you can sit on a sofa, eat dum-dum lollipops, wear costume jewelry and enjoy a cheap beer or fun mixed drinks. The crowd just ramps up as the night gets darker

COOLIST DIVE BAR IN SOUTH STREET

By Jewel G |

Love this place. Cheap drinks good greasy bar food. The upstairs area is amazing and like a graffitti punk time capsule. Worth a visit!!!

Friendly dive bar atmosphere

By Kburks |

The vegan options were great! I had a vegetarian Philly cheesesteak which was decent. Lots of decent bar food, wacky decor, and friendly hipster staff. If we lived in town, I could see myself gravitating here again and again (in a 4 day stay in Philadelphia, we came here three times!).

Awesome vegan and vegetarian deals!

By WeezieMom |

This is an eclectic restaurant/bar with a bar menu of apps and sandwiches. They have great deals during the week, like on Mondays all veg items are half off--and they're delicious. Their menu has something for everyone, not all veg. Beware: we were told at the door that after 7pm you have to be over 21 years old to enter, which nearly derailed our plans since we had a 20 year old in our party. Look forward to going back!

Will go back

By Anon8815 |

Eclectic dive bar. Serve food late. Food I would say is average (poutine was disappointing but I was just happy to have food at 10:30). Pool tables upstairs (though a bit beat up)

Treat yourself to a fun lunch!

By MsRae28 |

The ambience is a cross of cool and out-loud creative. Sitting on the sofa in the back part of the Tattooed Mom is as good as it gets on a afternoon lark. I had the most decadent burger, albeit far way from my healthy eating: It had mac & cheese on it! The Rhubarb mule is still on my mind as well the art installation that served as a backdrop for out meal. I had fun with the leaping frogs and left with a "dum-dum." How's that for a good time. Try it!

Great place

By MeraKi25 |

Tattooed mom's is a has a really funky interior and was decorated really well for NYE. We've been here prior to NYE as well, and don't worry, you won't be looked at weirdly or feel out of place if you don't have arm sleeve tattoos, cat eye glasses or facial piercings. The staff is awesome, and mix up some great cocktails.

Awesome place for some cheap eats

By Adam |

We ran across this place accidentally and scored big time. The waitress was awesome and the food was incredible. We were there for taco Tuesday and I ate so much I thought I was gonna pop. Fun atmosphere and people.

Great vibe, tattertots galore

By Cherra M |

Serves really quality vegan and vegetarian options. Dont miss the classic "Poprocket" with pop rocks.

Way cool bar

By michellec2010 |

Okay, you have to know what you're in for. But if you're up for bizarre decor, cheap drinks, punk rock on the jukebox and an interesting clientele - you have to try it. Toys all over, and even a bumper car in the back. The veggie burger is solid, so are Taco Tuesdays. Very fun!

Great atmosphere/drinks/food

By SabJean |

We always visit "Moms" when we get into Philly. The food is very good. Nothing fancy but always a good time. Get your pics taken in the bumper cars.

I could hang here all day!

By Kathy S |

We just happened to pass by and were pulled in the door by the name alone. Once entering it was a cool place , very eclectic ! I loved it <3 finding out the painting hanging over the bar was of Mom in the 70's. and looking at all the unusual art was worth the find. Bartender was very cool and enjoyed our conversation, and mixes a great drink. Loved the cool touch of tattoo's and silly penny toys on the bar. I just had to put a MOM tattoo on in honor of this place. Will be back next visit.

Cool vibe

By Jaime C |

Stopped in for a few drinks after dinner. Cool place. Bartenders were attentive. Cheap and good drinks. Would definitely go here again.

Kinda weird

By Swan |

Had good reviews and the name food and fare sounded great but the wait staff was off. Not my style of artwork which was basically stickers and bad drawings through out. The wrap I had was delicious , cheese steak wasn't the best and the beer selection was only so so. Its more of a trendy place for Hipsters if you like that sort of thing which is why the high rating.

You Are A Loser If You Don’t Come Here

By Kaje20 |

Everything I have posted about my trip is now a lie because this is actually the best place in Philadelphia! Sunday Funday takes on an entire new meaning when you get both glitter glue and liquor! You are only allowed one of those things at home and spoiler alert, it’s the liquor. Plus the boys who work here are cute, like super cute and they have half off tots with a basket of condiments!

Great food, great value, great decor!

By yazkazoo |

My pal, my son & I were attending a concert at the TLA and based on other reviews, we decided to give this place a go before the show. My friend and I are too old to be hipsters, and my son is too young and not interested. So, the other folks there were friendly and unobtrusive, regardless of their beards, or whether they were bullied or not. They did, however, provide ID if asked, because that's how things roll in the US. Anyway, the old guys pounded a few 1/2 price happy hour beers and my son had a coke while we ate burgers, a chicken sandwich and a basket of fries. The food was very good, and the prices were extremely reasonable. The decor is super-cool and there was plenty of interesting things to check out while we were there. Our server and waitstaff were friendly and attentive, and we all agreed that we will absolutely go back!

Fun, Funky and Fabulous

By Beth T |

We stopped for a bite after a visit to the Magic Garden and the walk of a few blocks was worth it. Fun atmosphere, great food, and really good service. They had coloring pages, crayons and markers available. We all colored the same page and chatted while we waited for our food. And no one looked at their phones! They also had games available. Great people watching, nice beer on tap and an unusual drink selection. This is bar food -- traditional and vegan. In our mixed group, (meat lovers and NOT), it's hard to please everyone, but Tat Mom delivered. It was our first visit, but we will be back. Basic menu, but everything was excellent.

The Art of Food

By attyjpm |

The atmosphere was electric with the thunder looming of some of the best of Philly's people watching available....although I was probably the one being watched by the retro funk googly eyed arts craft picture on the wall... my party feasted on parmesan tots, waffles fries, pickled fried chicken sandwiches...we sipped PBR, Pickle Martinis, and other hipster concoctions with delight...How did we learn of this mecca of wild on South St....we had been attracted to this location by the promise of an entree entitled an "ass basket". The basket contained some of the best....need to check it out yourself...awesomeness...oh and they have a huge veg option.

Awesome

By Paizleigh R |

Great atmosphere, food, and staff! Best dollar tacos in Philadelphia! Craft nights, bomb burgers, art everywhere. Love this place!

Great Vegan Options!

By Craig Z |

Fun, eclectic place. The music was a bit loud for me as we were there to visit with a college friend; however, the vegan options were numerous and extremely tasty. Good food and good prices

I left Tattooed Mom tattooed.

By Christian M |

While in Philly, I contacted some transplants that used to live in Orlando. They told us they were at "Tattooed Mom" and to meet us there. A short walk later, and we found ourselves on the very interesting South Street. When we entered, we found a very, very laid back bar, with unique chairs and tables covered in stickers, toys, and markers. They even have a craft table where the patrons (mid 20 year olds...) were gluing pipe cleaners on to Popsicle sticks. The wait staff quickly took our orders, recommended us some vegetarian options, and got out food out to us extremely quick. They were prompt with the refills, and cleared our table and brought us our check. We had a great time catching up, in a great atmosphere that didn't feel like it was trying too hard to be a niche business, or "fake punk". We ended up back at T Moms a few nights later for brunch! Just keep in mind, it is 21+ later in the day.

Fun!

By spacefortravel |

A fun and interesting bar on South Street. Enjoyed vegan burgers and a drink with friends. Worth a visit!

pre-concert beer & dinner

By BeerMikeinQTown |

nice selection of craft beers (not wow, but solid). we had yummy tater tots & good burgers (cheap and yummy, not fantastic but solid!) great waitress and bartenders. lotsa fun and eclectic decor. interesting vibe, from the tatooed south street punkster to the business person looking for a reprieve

Fun, hipsterish-but-open-to-all, good jukebox, very vegan friendly

By BettyC60795 |

I love this place. Take your pick from a solid selection of draft and bottle beers, some creative drink specials and - for the budget-conscious - the ever-reliable cheap cans of PBR! Add a cool jukebox selection, very warm service and a menu that includes great vegan choices - what more could you ask for? There is cozy-ish upholstered furniture mixed in with standard tables and bar stool seating, and the upstairs has pool tables. 2nd floor also has graffiti galore; i'ts an integral part of the decor and feel. It's sort of a dive and sort of a hipster place but at the same time it's super-friendly and has something for everyone.

Great bar with delicious food

By jenkraut605 |

One of my favorite bars in Philly...you can get a pint at a decent price plus the food is delicious...if you get one of the bar stools near the windows you have the added bonus of fun people-watching on South Street

Tattooed Mom

By Brodyphoto |

I have been to Tattooed Mom a few times for their vegan food. It is always amazing! I usually get takeout. The pierogies are awesome and I love that they have vegan sour cream. I also love their falafel sandwich.

Great Lunch

By Bijen P |

Went for lunch with my daughter, we had tater tots, BLT and honey Siracha chicken wrap. All the food was excellent, just the it is supposed to be- fresh ingredients-done it the right way and very flavorful. Ambience was very nice.

I’m glad I stopped by ...

By JodiRenshaw |

I’m glad I stopped by ... just to say I did. And my mixed drink was divine. But the food was underwhelming and the atmosphere was like “hipster on crack”. It was a great place to try. And two of my six waitstaff were lovely. But not my crowd or scene. And waitstaff making out, while patrons silicon face at the bar, while dogs on leashes are inside eating tacos ... May be the dream place for some. But not this gal. Taco Tuesdays for $1 are kind of incredible though, eh?

Cool place

By lizakq |

You have to visit at least once if you are around the area. It’s very artsy, something very different in a cool way. You can do art crafts or play board games while you wait for your food. I ate a hamburger and it was really juicy, some people on my party ate vegetarian dishes and loved it. The place has a second floor with a bar and two pool tables. No kids allowed after 7pm.

Great Vegan Options!

By Cindy D |

We stopped in here for lunch and had a delicious vegan meal! The vegan fried “chicken” sandwich is the best vegan chicken I have ever had. As a former chicken lover, I thought it was as good as real chicken. Others had the vegan cheesesteak and vegan burger which I heard were also excellent.

All loved it

By garymojo |

We went with a large group last week on our trip to Philly. We had quite the mix of omnivores and herbivores and all loved the food. The Vegan Pickle Fried Chicken sandwich was off the charts. The atmosphere is fantastic if you love the feel of a local dive bar -- which I do. The decor is funky and alive. Having the trinkets on the tables is a clever idea. We all walked out with new wet-n-stick tattoos. There is a nice selection of beer as well, in which we partook with great liberty. The mixed drink menu looks intriguing, but unfortunately somebody had to drive, so we left it until next time.

Hectic but great vegan options

By VeganRV |

We were lucky enough to hit this place on a Monday when they do half prize veggie items noon - 10pm. And it was packed out. We both had the vegan pickle fried chicken sandwich and were concerned we'd gotten real chicken. We didn't, but damn it was realistic. Also, they weren't joking around. It was brined, battered, and fried perfectly. We also got some waffle fries which were on point. The food was really filling, or we were still full from whatever we stuffed ourselves with earlier, so we ended up taking about half to go. The chicken sandwiches were still amazing eaten cold as leftovers. No pics because it was pretty dark inside. Definitely wish we'd had time to go back and hang out. It would be a really cool place to get drinks and snacks with friends.

Quirky and fun... loved it.

By AlePad2013 |

This is a nice, unpretentious place despite its quirky decor and strange accompaniments! My partner and I loved our afternoon respite in this weird bar-- they also have food which is a huge plus, and daily specials too. They have a decent bar, but this is no cocktail haven, so go for the fun of it, and for a basic drink. The bartender was super nice to boot!

Sweet Bar

By raachmyers |

This bar is so unique. They have a cool atmosphere with cool drinks. The little touches the add make the place memorable. We only had drinks here but would love to return for the food sometime.

Such a fun place.

By Dylan B |

It can get both very crowded and loud, which would be my only slight complaint, but at the same time it's a bar so I expect it so it's not bad. The food is amazing. I wish the price was just a tiny bit lower for the portion size and extras like waffle fries weren't so much to add on. Overall love the food and the eclectic nature of the place. Strong and good drinks and an overall great time. Fun to just hang and talk and take it all in.

quirky restaurant with good beer and great food

By Charles B |

If you're looking for a unique place to get a beer or some pub-style food, a place that's unlike every other pub around, a place that's NOT a sports bar, a place with a hip waitstaff that enjoy their jobs, then head here. A larger beer selection would have earned it that 5th star, but that's the only improvement I'd make.

Cool place, good food.

By Rcmc85 |

Stopped in here with some friends for drinks and appetizers. Beers were well priced and the food was great!

Love this place!!!

By number2cac |

I just visited today and LOVED it. I discovered this restaurant because I was looking for a restaurant that served vegetarian cheese steak. I've never had a cheese steak and I've never been to South Street, so I decided to have an adventure. I'm so glad I did! This place is so fun, it is very quirky. The bartender was quiet at first and I was the only customer, but he did spent a lot of time talking to me and some other customers that came in. I loved my food and the prices were good. I took more pics of the restaurant than of the rest of my day in town. I didn't get a chance to see upstairs, but I hear it is really cool. They also have special things like Craft Sundays. I absolutely recommend this restaurant!

The bar lives

By Urius |

This place is fun, in every way. The downstairs is horrendous and ugly and classy at wrapped into one. The upstairs is grafitti on everything. Feel free to paint on the walls or bring your art to the floor. No one will stop you. The staff is a unpredictable, sometimes you can wait 20 minutes for a drink, depends on the person working. Creative cocktails, lollipops at every table. This is a must visit place for locals and travelers alike.

Run of the mill hipster gaff

By Simon W |

Never really got this whole hipster thing meself. Lads that were bullied at school growing beards and drinking 'craft beer' in a place with exposed brick work and a quirky food menu. This place ticks all of those boxes handsomely. Should of known the places was a wrong'un from the moment I walked in. Stopped and asked for ID by the doorman... 'Don't carry any pal, don't need to where I live' I retorted. 'Then I can't let you in sir' came his response 'See these?' I bellowed back loudly over the Bowie blaring from the sound system. 'I fought in the falklands for these pal' pounding my upper chest to my military badges I always where on nights out. 'And here you are asking me to prove I'm over 21?' I raged He eventually conceded defeat but by this point I was livid. An obese and bearded barman took my order, it would be one lager and I would be out of there. I looked around and scoffed at the clientele. Each one of them the exact replica of the other, docker hats, beards, skinny jeans and struggling to handle their ale.... call this a cultural movement. The birds not much better... some in fact were a mess. To make things worse it was taco night or some nonsense so the place was full of them. Did make me wonder if the fact I lacked a beard aroused the suspicion of the doorman. Who knows but suffice to say over 40s who are not trying to act half their age should stay away. The pint was fine, America is finally turning out some lagers better than the disgusting Budweiser and crappy miller these days. The waitress doing the table service was also pleasant however I didn't get time to use the bogs and review them which I always like to do Not my cup of tea

Good Times at Tattooed Mom's

I like to stop in Tattooed Mom's whenever I go to Philadelphia. Great specials, good food and lots of interesting and fun characters. Great decor and atmosphere.

Cool Bar

Stopped here while adventuring through Philly, I loved the atmosphere and thought it was very neat in there. The menu caters to vegetarians and vegans. We did not try the food even though the Thursday pierogi night was tempting! I had a drink wit cotton candy in it and rum! I’m upset I cannot remember the name but I loved it. The drink is stuffed with cotton candy and they pour the rum and other ingredients over it to dissolve. Would recommend that, wanted to try the pop rocks one but we didn’t have time for another. Would definitely come back if we’re in the area again to try the food and different drinks. The dum dums and mom tattoos on the table were awesome!!

A one-of-a-kind vegan-friendly bar on South Street

Came to TMoms most recently to try their vegan cheesesteak, which I had not had yet. Easy to see why it consistently makes the top 10 in the city in online voting. But it's not quite up there with Blackbird. Flavors don't seem to be as deep and, you know, hand-curated. That said, it's still a good, satisfying sandwich, and one among many tasty, 100% plant-based options on the menu, which is why TMoms has been a favorite gathering spot for vegans for years. I did a vegan event upstairs there in January, a lot of fun. Try the fried pickle Chik'n sandwich!
