I had the best rice, chicken tikka ever Naan best and fresh, and dips homemade, better than most can make, so eat here every day

Extremely tasty chicken tikka masala. Plenty of meet in the beef gyro. The nan breads are also super.

Good halal buffet, reasonable prices, friendly staff, an excellent family environment, the food is fresh and tasty, I enjoyed nice buffet lunch there, would recommend visiting this nice buffet if you're in Hillcroft Ave, Houston.

I ate here twice during this trip. I found it to be a decent representative of Pakistani dishes. I also organized an event here for 160 people. I found the staff to be polite, listening, and helpful.

I chose tempura for the wedding. Asrar, his manager and staff provided TERRIBLE service and DID NOT COMPLY to the agreement . We booked this venue for 100 guests back in August 2018, paid for 100 guest, but Asrar and his staff CHEATED on serving food portion. They provided food for 60 people. At the time of booking we told the manager that we'd like 20 ppl worth of food packed so we can take it with us(since we came from diff. State). Due to family emergency, only 40 guests showed up at the wedding. With family members, there were total 60 ppl. At the end of the night, the staff told us that they RAN OUT of food. How could Asrar and staff take payment of 100 guests with gratuity, and only make food for 60 ppl? The manager WAS NOT there to answer our questions, staff apologized, but ofc there won't be any refund. Dear Asrar, I gave 1star to this place for not fulfilling YOUR PART of the agreement. Your food was GREAT, no doubt. But if you are running a business, please note CHEATING shouldn't be your moto. I don't wana get into AV system not provided when were told at the time of booking that its included in the package.

We had dinner here last night (my husband had eaten here before at lunch). It was very average and was just okay. Although I didn't have any my husband said the chicken corn soup was good. The naan was fresh and the biryani did have good spice. The service was terrible (non-existent actually). Not somewhere we will frequent but if we are in the area, it would be a pretty good place for a quick buffet lunch.

1960 Tempura Halal is a hidden jewel, restaurant in Houston. I went first to this restaurant since there were not many good restaurants near 290 & Beltway 8 last year and now I try to go this restaurant at least once a week. Every week they maintain excellent taste of all items, goat biryani, haleem, paya and dessert pudding with real milk kova. I am glad at least I have a best restaurant to go once in a while and take my friends as well.

happened to spot this place driving down 59 service road near hillcroft and we decided to try. it was absolutely delicious, everything on the buffet was so good, not too spicy, great find hidden in a strip center.

$30/person during Ramadan, instead of $20 regular. Iftar items were very disappointing. Charging $10 extra for Iftar should be proportionate! No concession for children either! We like the restaurant but will never go there during Ramadan, again.

we went for dinner which was a buffet dinner... it was having too many food options and a good quality of food.. i loved the chicken seekh kabab and enjoyed the dessert (Kheer) till the last spoon of it..

On Sunday we reached Tempura just before their opening time 12 noon. Everything was freshly prepared and hot. The staff welcomed us with a broad smile. The buffet was great with a variety of delicious dishes. The place was neat and clean, and the waiters were actively serving the customers clearing table promptly and bringing hot naans (garlic and butter) and chapattis when needed. Having genuine Indo-Pak cuisine we tasted almost everything including Hot & Sour Soup, Chicken Corn Soup, Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Reshmi Kabab, Chicken Manchurian, Beef Paya, Beef Nehari, Beef Haleem, Kheer, Labe Shireen, Assorted Salad, Raita and Chutney. Fresh items kept coming. With their ethnic food and fantastic flavor the price was reasonable. I'd recommend this place very highly.

The food here was very good and fresh. It is buffet-style but you can order from a menu. I didn't see the menu until I was paying for meal but it appears that everything that was on it was already part of the buffet. The buffet had so much variety and it all was so fresh. This was one of those buffet's where 1 plate was enough but you just have to go back for a 2nd because the food is sooo good! Beef Haleem was really good and I had my 1st try at Sooji Halwa, a dessert that was semi-sweet with a gritty texture. My wife enjoyed the soups and I was told they were great! The place is casual and there is a banquet hall attached for events. The service is casual as well, so don't expect to be catered to which is no big deal in this place at all! The food will take care of you!

Excellent buffet with a sizable number of choices. Great manager and staff members. The food was cooked to perfection. A suitable place for family and friends.

Amazing sunday buffet, great variety with all major items covered, amazing service and superb taste, highly recommended

Ordered take out Buy two zinger burgers for $9.99 (two orders i.e. 4 burgers). Upon calling inquired about if french fries are included as shown in the ad picture on Facebook. I was informed its only there so people call us to order (bait and switch) and if I wanted fries it will be an extra $1.99 per order. Also, the person said normally its $2.99. Upon taking food home the burgers have a horrible taste, the chicken patty was not even 1/4" thick rest all was the batter. It had an old oil smell as if the cooking oil was not changed for a long time. Nevertheless, my whole family was sick for a few hours and had to take medicines. Never again. Wish I could leave ZERO stars.

Try their goat biriyani. It is excellent. They give the right amount of spices and hot stuff. Goat pieces are cooked with spice. Their Goat karahi is also awesome.

We went tp spring location. . This restaurant is great. we really enjoyed our bbq items we ordered. Great service and good halal option.

This is an asian restaurant serving Indo Pak food. We enjoyed dinner buffet having wide spread variety. The spices used are authentic. One can get Paan at at his place. Different experiance in USA

The Buffet was really awesome with so many authentic varieties. Really wonderful & non expensive (Good value for money). Really cordial staff...

I read pretty good reviews in the internet that this place provides good and a wide variety of halal (Indonesian plus Pakistani) food so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately we arrived slightly late and missed the lunch buffet. We ordered a la carte menu instead. The portion of rice meal was big and it tasted great - value for money. Not forgetting the friendly staff. Would recommends this place to others.

We decided to dine here because it seemed different. It was very good but took forever for us to eat some we didn't want buffet. Maybe they're not use to having notget the buffet. Next time for sure we'll try it. But other then slow it was good & good portion

The food was excellent and family friends friendly and the restaurant was very nice and all was so friendly and it's was easy to find and the service was very good

I usually visit this restaurant for Lunch. They offer both Buffet and Table Service as well. However only drawback is they don't have menu booklets. Menu is placed on the wall near the CASH Counter. This is one of our favorite restaurant whenever we are badly hungry and want Asian style non-veg food. The food quality is very good, they server halal only. Don't forget to try their sweet dish. This restaurant is centrally located, staff is very humble.

Very good quality, taste and value for dollars. Business dinner. Open Buffet. Seafood, biryani and haleem.

We decided to check this restaurant out yesterday. We have heard that it was outstanding. It was not a disappointment. We tried everything, and we don't have a single complaint. The rice pudding we had for dessert was the best that we have ever had. I can guarantee that we will be going back. WOW!!!

We had a nice meal of platters and naan which were fresh. The chicken malai boti were very soft and tender. The decor could use some upgrades and seating is limited for larger groups. Would definatly come back again.
First Time Review
Our very first time to eat at Tempura Halal's - Eddi's service was excellent, very clean, and great selection on the buffet. The buffet was excellent.
