What a steak!

By nigel s |

'cooked to perfection' that's enough to say really but it was definitely the best steak I have ever had. The whole evening was brilliant and thanks to our host, Dewey, who seemed to be an encyclopedia for steaks we chose from his knowledge. I would definitely recommend the porterhouse. He talked us through from butchery to cooking the steak. Thanks Dewey.

Nice and excellent food

By Pablo Y |

Awesome place hidden in luxor hotel We found Ralf the best waitress of all the places we have been in Vegas,New York, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Boston, Washington , aspen and miami Ribeye is excellent

The food and service were top notch

By chernobog1 |

The restaurant is on par with any other steakhouse. The service was 5 star and the food was prepared to perfection.

Loved it

By Steve G |

The wife and I stopped in here to use a MyVegas reward, and I'm quite happy with the selection. The food quality was very good, and the quantity was more than adequate. The decor was comfortable and upscale, and the service was quite good. It may not be a top notch steak place, but it's certainly pleasant and enjoyable. If I didn't have the discount available, I might have balked at the final bill, but generally speaking I was quite pleased with the meal.

Tender at the luxor

An awesome meal

By Corinne F |

Went for a lovely meal, my fiancé had steak and I had lobster tail. Both quite expensive but they were the nicest meals we had ever had. It was absolutely worth the money. We also got a free desert to celebrate our recent engagement.

Fantastic Experience - Great Food

By Brian F |

Been to Tender twice now and both times were great experiences. Service is amazing and the food is great. I had the lobster bisque to start, it was fantastic. Steaks have been delicious, prepared perfectly and the sides are great, especially the mushrooms. I added the scallops on my last trip and was a bit disappointed with the value… If I recall correctly, I only got 3 scallops when I added them to my steak… I usually wouldn’t have a problem with that, but I think it was an $18 addition, which seemed high to me. Drinks are reasonably priced… bottles of wine start around $35 or so and cocktails aren’t outrageous. We’ve only ever tried the creme brûlée for desert, it was the best creme brûlée we’ve ever had… MyVegas has a voucher available for $75 if you spend $150 or more, making Tender a must-visit if you have the 75,000 points to spend. We’ll be back again next trip and probably again after that as long as the MyVegas voucher is available!

Wonderful Steak House At The Luxor

By Squaxer13 |

My Wife, My mother in law & I all went here for the intention of a great dine dining dinner & we were not disappointed the food was amazing cooked so Perfectly and the service was equally wonderful it is a little more on the pricey side but that is to be expected for Vegas and worth the price 😀❤️

Great by place to eat steak

By Doe |

This is a great place to eat some good steak. This place is on the up & up from pervious times I been here. A new young chef and a new menu. Better then years before. I had there filet and tail with a Said of Mac and cheese. Just really good food

Steak not served as ordered

By Mark P |

Thought I'd splurge on dinner since I was only on The Strip for one night. I knew the prices at Tender were high but decided to try it anyway. Since the main dining area was full, the kind hostess seated me in the lounge, where I had a great view of the casino. The steak I ordered was rare, not medium as I requested. The vegs and potatoes were ala carte but excellent! Tender is very overpriced and with two cocktails my bill was $100 for just myself. If Tender is going to charge these prices, they should serve the steak as the customer ordered.

A great restaurant

By jcdeligirl |

Although we made a reservation for 7pm New Years Day, we arrived 20 minutes early. We were told the we couldn't be accommodated any earlier due to reservations and un-clean tables. Used the restroom, and noticed that 1 out of 3 rooms was being used. Questioned the hostess and said employee shortage????????? Excellent service and very appetizing food along with Caymus Cabernet.

best food in town

By Samy G |

Great Food, very pricey but it worth it , good meal can cost up to $100 with couple of drinks , service is good , they can arrange table for large number of guests , it was easy to make reservation and to add more friend to my table in short notice. I will go again if I am in las Vegas .

Great tomahawk steak

By Ron J |

Seafood tower also fantastic, waitress very attentive, only issue was one questionable oyster in the bunch. But I should know better than to order raw shellfish in July.

The Salmon was to die for

By Cuisine-crazy |

Had dinner with a group for a business trip. I ate the salmon with risotto. It was to die for. Other guests raved about the steak. Service was excellent

Someone must be kidding

By Abraham V |

The worst steaks my wife and I have had in Vegas, at the Luxor Steak House. She ordered a Bison sirloin that was chewy as an old boot sole. Mine, a ribeye on the bone, was better but never for competition even with the Outback ware. The cook should be taught to fix potatoes au gratin. Sorry to say it but we were greatly disappointed.

Shock and Awe

By MsRooze |

We didn't expect to be wowed at Tender Luxor, but we really underestimated the quality of ....everything. The service was excellent. The food was perfectly prepared -- some of the best polenta I've ever eaten. My husband's coffee-rubbed steak was mouth-wateringly delightful and perfectly seasoned. We truly didn't expect such an outstanding meal and were so perfectly pleased and surprised! I recommend trying it--really.

Took a dive since COVID

By debging |

It's really too bad. We loved this place and had looked forward to going again. They have limited their menu and don't even provide you with any bread to start the meal. The portions have decreased and it was just "okay." We ate at the bar and one of the staff was having a conversation with the bartender and every other word was "f" this and "f" that. Not exactly appropriate! We won't be back for a few years....hopefully they will improve again.

Lovely find

By Jennie |

We were staying at the hotel and decided to dine here as hubby wanted lamb rack. Really surprised at how nice inside the restaurant is, quiet and secluded from the casino. Service was attentive and the manager came round to see if we needed anything and to tell him otherwise, made us feel semi important as he only came to our table. Colorado lamb rack was lovely and really liked the spinach accompaniment. One thing I did notice was that we dressed per the dress code but people were in shorts, sports gear and ball caps. I even was given a dessert in early celebration of my birthday after the manager asked what we were celebrating when he came to our table.

Anniversary Dinner

By Tim O |

We enjoyed the tomahawk with three course meal. All were delicious. The service was over the top, all our questions were answered.

Excellent

By FlossEm77 |

We were seated immediately and the excellence continued throughout our meal. The staff is very well versed in customer service, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The menu was varied and has something for every palate. The food was presented beautifully plated, hot, fresh and delicious. The portions were generous. It is pricy, as you would expect in Las Vegas. The beer was ice cold and the wine very good. We enjoyed every aspect of our experience at Tenders. Juan was a great server and looked after us without being intrusive.

This ok.

By the-noob-on-roblox |

we had an all you can be this is a good feast at this place. It had quality food and amazing recipes.

seafood good meat not

By GrandTour788338 |

should have a rating of #500 not # 250 out of 2400. Filet mignon wasn't tender nor did it have a good taste especially for $50. waiter could care less when he was told. Recommend you try another restaurant even when you are going to see Chris angel who I guess is leaving the Luxor anyway.

Pricey but awesome service and food.

By Gerard D |

This restaurant in at the Luxor hotel in Vegas. Very good steak and service just a bit on the pricey side. I would not go with my family for cost reasons.

Just another steak house

By 1991KEB |

We stopped in after a show, no reservation needed but that's because it was just another steak house. The sides were better than the steak. The salmon was good. The service was very good that's why they get 4 stars. The food was average.

New Years Eve dinner

By Thomas R |

Had dinner with my beautiful wife on New Years Eve. My wife had Filet Mignon and I had a bone in Ribeye. Both steaks were very good. We also enjoyed a lobster tail, asparagus, and baked potato. It was a nice dinner and we both enjoyed our time together.

In desperate need of service training

By wendyb204 |

Where to start - we booked a dinner before Criss Angel show at 9:30. We arrived early to have a drink and thought we must be seated in a holding section we waited so long for service. Finally placed our order together with a round of water. When she returned, she spilled the $15 martini on the table and my hand without much of an apology and didn’t return with the napkin as promised. Just when we were following up on the water, she announced “she’s ready for you and you can have water at your table” and handed us a bill. The bill charged us $13 for an $8 glass of wine so we had to get that corrected and then wait for “she” to appear to seat us. No one came and finally someone said she would seat us. We transferred our own drinks to the table and sat. No water and no menus. Finally one of our party got up and grabbed menus and stopped one of the servers for water. He gave our server the heads up we were not happy with having to do that. Things seemed to settle down with the arrival of bread and order taking. Then another long delay for charcuterie followed too closely by dinner. Food arrived and the shared steak was plunked in the middle of the table. Now I would have expected for almost $60 that they would’ve divided this for us particularly because I found the steak knives provided were quite dull. Another missed step with a glass of wine forgotten and it had to be gulped down because because of the show time. Food was good but given the price and service I would rate this overall a low average experience. No steps taken to acknowledge our experience or correct in future.

Tender is great choice for dsinner at Luxor

By Henry21364 |

We had dinner at Tender our first night in Vegas. We stayed at Luxor so it was an obvious choice and we were very pleased. We split a wedge salad which was excellent! They use 1000 island dressing in stead of blue cheese and it's great! We also shared the butter poached filet mignon and the Chilean sea bass, both of which were delicious! Our server Alan was great too.

Underwhelmed n disappointed

By Scott |

Great ambience, old school Vegas feel and great decore. The filet and Flatiron were average at best, they weren't cooked properly and the Kitchen/Chef misplaced our steaks on clearly pre-made plates. As in we didn't recieve what we ordered off the menu and our server made excuses. They put my Filet on her plate and her Flatiron on mine.....didn't match the menu. My Medium rare was rare and her Medium rare was almost well. The broccoli & cheese and roasted asparagus were excellent as was the crab Oscar I ordered w/ my filet. Underwhelmed by the cut of food, poor preparation and lack of service by the Waiter. We've checked this off our list and left underwhelmed let alone for money we spent.

Amazing meal

By DEWC194 |

Had a group of 15, but we enjoyed excellent, high class service. The meals and drinks were amazing. Great selection of steaks in cut and size. Dessert was vibrant, fresh choices. Reservations needed, but worth it!

Bring Back the Chocolate Souffle

By Patricia M |

I really like Tender the food is good & prepared as requested. They were also the one place I could get a perfect chocolate souffle. I was delicious and beautifully made. They stopped making them & I am so disappointed. Now their dessert menu is just ordinary or actually quite bland. I don't eat there now because the desserts make the meals even better & I can get a cheesecake, chocolate cake, or ice cream anywhere

Great Food

By supergirl39 |

We always make Tender Steakhouse apart of our vacation. The food is wonderful and the service is excellent. The filet oscar and lobster bisque is to die for.

Luxor steakhouse

By bob m |

Food is amazing the ambiance is great. Really nice steakhouse a little bit pricey but well worth it Thomas was out waiter and he was great. If I could give them more stars I would

Very Good

By Paul W |

One of the bartenders at the Mandalay Bay suggested this place because there were all ages (21 - 70) in our party. We arrived at 8 pm on a Friday night and were seated in 5 minutes. While the server was either having an off night or needed a personality boost the assistant was great and provided excellent service. The food is pretty reasonable for the strip and everything was delicious. The lobster bisque and wedge salad were especially good. Overall a very good experience and pretty easy on the pocketbook.

Worse than a Ponderosa steak

By Catarina P |

First of all, it took over 10 minutes to have someone take our drink order. My steak was very gristaly and fat. There are so many better steak houses than this place.

Great steak in Vegas

By Peter R |

I was in Vegas to take my daughter to a taylor swift concert, and I figures that as I had paid x dollars for her ticket, I could spend something less on a great steak. So I went to this place. Boy, was I not disappointed. I sat at the bar, and the barguy recommended the ribeye. It was seriously wonderful. So many things have to go right to get such a piece of meat to your plate. $60 for just the steak. Sides Extra. But was it worth it! This place really delivers. Great bar staff, great choice of wines etc. Like do much in Vegas, you have to pay. But here at least what you get is fabulous. As indeed was tte Taylor swift concert. America at its best. Enjoy.

Pay a lot, not worth the experience

By Edward B |

I'm sorry to have to review as I never take the time, but this one deserves the rather negative review I'm about to give. I visited this restaurant on Saturday night as my son and I were visiting from the Excalibur just next door. We had made a reservation earlier in the day and I was surprised they had availability. Now I'm not so surprised. Upon arrival, we sere seated after the rep had returned from somewhere. It was a few minutes so so far so good. We were seated and the nice waitstaff person by the name of Juan welcomed us and took our drink order. We waited over 10 minutes and when he finally arrived, he apologized stating the bar was backed up. There were only about 6 tables that had diners out of probably 40. I don't think it was too crowded. I overheard him use the same excuse on the table next to us when he delivered their drinks. We finally saw our waiter again 15 minutes later and he was then available to take our dinner order. I ordered a $39 "Blackened Salmon". It arrived after about a 20 minute wait and much to my surprise, it was pale like it was pan seared. No "blackened" to be found at all. I expressed my concern to the waiter and he offered to have it re-done. Since we had a concert to go to and due to also waiting so long on the first order, I told him I was disappointed and it was too late to do that. He just brought the check and offered no apology or anything. He just wanted my credit card and called me crabby. I spent $173 with him and he couldn't even offer a dessert. I told him we would never be back. I could have gotten the manager involved but we had to get going. Word to the public, this restaurant is very subpar. They offer poor service and less than mediocre food for a very high price. It was very disappointing to say the least.

Excellent Again!

By FlyGirl1118 |

We stay at Luxor 5 to 6 times a year. Always try to make it if to Tender Steakhouse. The staff is very warm and efficient ! Food is always consistently very good! Obviously steaks are delicious and very good quality! However the sides are amazing too! Love the au gratin potatoes, creamed spinach and macaroni and cheese to name a few. Awesome shrimp cocktail ! Had tomato soup the other night that was excellent ! Our server Thomas was so friendly as well as professional! Such a lovely evening! Love the chic and elegant ambiance!

Very subpar

By Tee C |

3 for service. And service only. Food was not good. Service was fast and servers were friendly however, you could get a better steak at any lower level chain restaurant. Outback or Longhorn have better steaks. Those who give this place 5 stars don’t know steaks at all. I ordered a filet mignon and broccoli gratin. The filet was not tender as you’d expect a $59 steak to be. It was chewy, very little flavor and warm, not hot. The broccoli was grilled with some thick cheese sauce poured on top. I expected a higher quality of food. The only thing worth eating was the bread. Would never return.

Good service and nice steak

By TheLegendP |

I ordered sat at the bar. The service was good. My food came out fast and was as ordered. Steak tasted good. Would eat there again.

Great Food, Reasonable Prices!

By Tink J |

Excellent food, a nice atmosphere and a very welcoming staff make Tender a great place for a very nice meal. Located in the Luxor, if you want a very nice meal without all the hassle of going out, this is the place. The staff was very friendly, the food amazing, and the prices reasonable. You won’t regret a trip to Tender!

Absolutely fantastic

By TravelChamps |

Fabulous experience! Staff was excellent. Pictures will be taken by staff and pre printed for you for separate purchase (suckered us in lol) My wife loved her burrata salad and a shrimp scampi on focaccia also. Recommended if come to Vegas!

Way over priced.

By Jon-Michael H |

The service was good, but the steak was chewy, and over seasoned. It reminded me of a steak at a Texas Roadhouse. I got a side of the gouda mac and cheese. That was good.

Cannot trust this place, 2 out 3 were bad

By Roger K |

I have eaten here twice before (see my previous reviews) and the first time was not good, the second time was fine. I was staying at Luxor this trip. I travel to Vegas monthly and have for many years. I have eaten at all of the best Steakhouses in town and tried the Kobe and Wagyu at them. I ordered the 8oz. Wagyu Filet. In my opinion it was not Wagyu beef. Did not look, feel or taste like Wagyu. What I believe I got was a regular Filet Mignon. Overprices. It was not very good at all. Not really tender and had no flavor. Shrimp Cocktail is very good, fresh, nice presentation and good quality. Wedge salad another fine choice. Lyonnaise potatos OK. Not happy with this meal. Probably will not be back. Too many other great choices nearby.

Excellent food and service

By debging |

This place is so good we ate there two days in a row. We ate at the bar so we could people watch and Tim was our bartender/server on the first day. He was friendly, efficient and attentive. They have an amazing cheese sampler for a starter. I highly recommend it. Their lobster bisque is the BOMB! Oh my gosh...sooo good. The best I have ever had. Their ceasar salad and caprese salad are good too, but you can't really mess those two salads up. My husband had the filet mignon on both nights. It was cooked exactly how he wanted it. Their garlic mashed potatoes and baked potato was perfect. Ask for rolls to go with your dinner. They are fresh and very good! The prices are reasonable. I thought this was the best restaurant I have eaten in Las Vegas.

Not Worth Your Time Or Money

By Mannypak |

We celebrated a birthday here and were graciously received by the hostess, but the service was terrible. The restaurant had one runner who was literally running everywhere to get food out. I understood that they seemed short-staffed, but it took over an hour before we got any bite to eat. We asked for 3 separate drinks and they were all out of liquor to mix the order. Management was informed of our inconvenience and they did nothing. We were essentially forced to flip through the drink menu for the 4th time and ordered a couple of glasses of wine that was not very good. Management was seen in a corner and never walked over or greeted us. Luckily our waiter felt so bad that he comp'd 30 dollars worth of drinks. The birthday cake and celebration could not happen as we had spent 2 plus hours at this place. We rushed our meal so that we could leave for other plans. $150.00 plus dollars later we were left with nothing but disappointment in our bellies, and a giant bill. You are much better off going to one of the other restaurants in Vegas. I will never recommend this place or visit again.

Always great experience

By Ronald v |

Food was great I started with a shrimp cocktail and mixed drink, my Wife had a salad. Then I had coffee buttered NY strip and loaded baked potato. My wife had same. Both were cooked to perfection. Our servers name was Manuel. He was on top of our needs. I think one of the top steakhouses in LasVegas. Ron and Sandy Viza

Great Food and Quiet Date Night

By KCinAZ |

Very much a date night or business meeting place. We were in town for SEMA and one would think they would be busy but not. Maybe because of the higher menu prices. However, the food was excellent. We had the extra-large shrimp cocktail starter which was perfect in every way. The flavor of the shrimp was wonderful and the shrimp were firm and prepared perfectly. Our main was a porterhouse steak. We are light eaters so we always share. However, the size of this portly porter was so big that we took home extra to share with Gizmo the steak-eating Yorkshire. No dessert for us. We are always too full. The wait staff seemed a bit stuffy but it's the nature of the restaurant. At first, I was a bit put off but then realized that's the draw for their clientele. If you are on a business trip with colleagues this is perfect. Easy to talk business and enjoy a good meal.

Great service.

By LostInTime |

I went here for dinner. I’ve been here before. The service remains the best in Vegas. Truly great. My shrimp cocktail was great. And I had the bone in ribeye which was perfectly prepared.

Good meat

By Davide Ianniiello |

The place is nice and very clean ecil friendly service. Excellent meat, but slightly high price considering the few ounces served. In any case a good experience.

The best

By Heidi P |

Amazing food and it came out so fast we couldn’t believe it. We ordered my bf went to bathroom and it was out by the time he got back to table. Service was wonderful he was such a nice man and even management checked on us and I couldn’t have been more happy. My bf loved his birthday dinner and we will be coming back

Weekend vacation

By Karen O |

Went twice over the weekend - Friday not too busy - Sunday super busy - food - we are from Midwest so steaks will never be as good as what we can make on our grill at home no matter what -we just know that when traveling -we tried 3 of the steaks - our opinion- steak oscar will be the best you can get for flavor -New York strip 2nd place - the ribeye (my spouse said he wouldn’t feed it to anyone who came to his house) salmon was awesome and shrimp cocktail is great and we loved the “thousand island aioli/ish” wedge salad - service always good -hope this review helps

Don't waste your money

By Andy B |

First of all, the drinks were horrible. Stick with soft drinks. The shrimp Scampi appetizer is not what you think. There is no sauce and not even a hint of garlic. Shrimp were overcooked and had no flavor. The filet mignon was average. I need more for 8 ounces at $60. Went to a sow there and went to eat. It was not crowded at 7:30 pm which should have been the first clue that this place sucks.

Really wanted to like it

By NurseAllie77 |

The food is honestly just average . The service is good but the atmosphere is not as high end as you would expect for the price of their steaks. The place could use a facelift inside. My husband and I were having dinner and the couple across from us were video chatting with their small children ( LOUDLY ON SPEAKER PHONE) for close to 20 mins. It really made our dinner not very pleasant . Staff just continued to walk past them as it was obvious that everyone else in the room was uncomfortable. We never saw a manager the whole time .Not the experience I was looking for with a $300 meal.

Steakhouse

By Jason D |

I hate giving a three really. The service was great and Thomas deserves a ton of respect as a server. The manager clearly takes pride in the place based on a couple side conversations I overheard, and so I appreciate all that. The martini I ordered was actually perfect. The food….. the Cesar salad had some heavy lemon type zest that just overpowered the salad. The Cesar dressing itself didn’t have a lot going on. The steak while perfectly cooked temperature wise, was overburdened by salt. I did like the chimichurri sauce a lot. The lobster Mac and cheese, well all I can say is that I had five bites and that was it. Great service can always help overcome a marginal meal and that was the case here. Sorry guys.

Friends Trip

By TMPerryK |

We were searching around for a last minute reservation for a good steakhouse. Stumbled upon tender. Atmosphere was great food in my opinion was over priced for the quality. My wife has the filet and I had the salmon. I would say if you want a very nice sit down dinner this would be a good spot but be prepared to spend a little more.

Exquisite food and top notch service

By olboodog |

While waiting to see a show, we decided to stop by and have dinner. The host being dressed in full formal wear asked if we had reservations. It had just opened and i saw just 3 tables with people and there was no one waiting. Feeling I was a bit underdressed and felt off-put by the hosts frankness, I said that we didn't and was expecting to be denied entry, However, I was wrong. It was my bad hearing that made me feel that the host was rude when he really wasn't. In fact he was very accommodating by asking if we wanted a booth and he looked like he made some arrangements for us to have one. The decor was awesome. It had nice low lighting which enriched the warm colors of the dark wood around us. Our waiter was super friendly and checked on us often making sure our drinks didn't run out and that we were happy. He even made some excellent suggestions for us. This was the nicest place I have ever been for a restaurant. I was afraid they would take one look at us and prejudge that we weren't worth the effort. But they proved me wrong and it was so nice to be treated like royalty for once. I applaud the staff for giving us this wonderfull experience, thank you. With that said, be prepared to pay for it. This is a place that costs a tremendous amount for it's food and the sides are extra. However, part of what your paying for is not only the exceptional and flavor busting food, but the awesome service that comes with it. I mean who else would pour you bottled water from an ice bucket next to your table with all the grace and formality of royalty? The steak was cooked perfectly, exactly to temp and the deserts were to die for. My complements to the chef. Well done!

Indulgence in cuisine and price!

By johnethe3rd |

First off, this is a steakhouse inside a casino so it is going to cost you more than most places. However, the food was PERFECT! I was staying at the Luxor and decided to use my $100 food voucher on one meal.(you read that right, just me, one meal, $100), I certainly cannot complain about the food. The lobster bisque was AMAZING, I wanted to lick the bowl clean! My Filet Oscar was so tender I did not even have to chew on it ( I just sort of slid it around my mouth like soft fruit). This is what a fancy meal is supposed to be, The staff was friendly and seemed determined to make sure everyone was happy with their meals. So if you want to feel fancy and eat a fancy dinner and pay a fancy price, this is the place.

No Thanks

By monmouthstud56 |

Been here two times and both times a complete crap show. When you ask for a medium steak is comes out almost raw. Second time asked for a medium steak and got super well done.

Awful Food, Rip-off Prices.

By PV |

The restaurant adverts looked great and the restaurant décor is fantastic, good service BUT this is where all the positives ends. The food was very underwhelming considering the price, we struggled to eat our food, the steak, chicken was all dry and overcooked, lacked flavour - we didn't even finish half of our food. The final bill was extortionately high for the appalling food - I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Hidden Gem

By Adrienne R |

So I am going to sound a bit snobby here but am going out on a limb to let you in on a little secret...hidden away in the Luxor Hotel is this great steakhouse. Have been very fortunate to sample steakhouses all over and this one matches up with amazing food at a great price point. We had the wild mushroom soup and chunky crab & lobster cakes to start followed by the filet mignon and rib-eye with creamed spinach & mushrooms with onion as sides. Delicious! Decor is a little on the worn side but for the amazing food and great service this is a steakhouse offering a great experience.

Steak dinner done just right

By Terressa M |

I was part of a large group dinner at Tender on a Friday evening. The staff was accommodating and professional. Our steaks were tender and perfectly prepared.

Excellent

By Charlotte114 |

Well, we managed to submit our review before finishing it, fools! But we really wanted to leave a review. This was one of the best meals we had in Vegas. Our server John was great, helpful and attentive. The Main Lobster bisque was full of flavour and the Lump Crab and Lobster Cake was a delight. For mains, Bison steak and The Steak Burger, both perfect. One dessert, the most lovely Creme Brulee with fresh fruit. Water for the table and bread served without asking, fab! Lovely setting, comfy chairs, linen table cloths and napkins. All the staff were lovely. Reasonable pricing. Any complaints, No, would we come again, definitely. Thanks - Swymgims

Wonderful restaurant in the Lux

By Cynthia T |

My sister & I found this wonderful restaurant tucked away in the Luxor. We were greeted & seated by warm and friendly staff, The ambiance was quiet, inviting and tasteful. The waiter, Tom, what friendly and attentive and listened to our questions about the menu. He provided excellent suggestions! The food server was also friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be visiting this wonderfully tasty restaurant again!

Amazing Food

By Cat |

Absolutely delicious meal, had the special was absolutely amazing. The sides of asparagus, crispy potatoes and mash were all delicious too. Our plates were cleared. Quite pricey but tbh worth every penny for a special treat. Waitor was so attentive and helpful. Highly recommended.

Just expected a little better...

By jiggerb |

As a native Las Vegan, I was saddened by a few things they do/charge as it's mainly tourists who dine here. We were a group of eight with six being from out-of-town. We requested regular Las Vegas tap water (it's actually quite good) and were charged 50 cents a glass?! No Las Vegas restaurant I recall charges for regular water. Refills were challenging to get. Lobster Bisque was very good. The Wedge Salad was prepared "Artistically" and served on a small plate. Four of us had each ordered one and each of us asked for a larger plate to move it to so we could cut it and enjoy it without it spilling onto the table. Hubby and I each ordered a Bison Top Sirloin - both medium. Our steaks were vastly different in size, shape, and doneness. The company was good, service a little stuffy and spotty, and the meal experience just so-so. I had thought it'd be better.

Go elsewhere

By alstensby |

I was excited to try Tender given the large number of good reviews and what appeared to be great food. It's Vegas and there's no shortage of other options! But save your time and money here. We showed up and things proceeded about as expected at a more expensive steak house. Then it came time to ordering an appetizer and the server's answers to my questions were a bit lacking. But I brushed it off because it was an app. Then I started asking a bit about the pork chop in particular such as how it's prepared. "It's good." he said. So I pressed more. "It's seasoned with like salt and pepper". Imagine my surprise that it showed up with a reduction that I then asked about "Oh...I think it's red wine". Our food showed up and was...unremarkable. We had a few sides that were OK. The pork chop showed up over cooked and with the surprise to us reduction. The steak was pretty solid overall, but I would hope at $135. To the manager's credit, he did come out to apologize for the steak and volunteered to comp it. Over all? Take your money elsewhere IMO if you have the ability. If it's convenient, go. It's about mid level. I generally spend about $100-150 on meals when in Vegas and this fell way short of my dining experiences at comparable places in Vegas. The support staff was relatively attentive

Tender Steakhouse at Luxor disappointing.

By Dawn loves animals. |

Had dinner for 4 at Tender Steakhouse. For $75 - $100 per person (excluding drinks) so not worth it. Ceasar Salad and calamari fair at best. Very bland. Had to ask for more salad dressing to give it some flavor. Roasted chicken was good. Shrimp scampi was not what was expected. Bread was good. Service was fair. I think our waiter was overworked based on how much he was sweating and dripping. The guy clearing tables dropped dishes twice. If you are looking for a truly good steakhouse in Vegas, you could do much better.

Outstanding!

By Companion63705195447 |

Outstanding! Had the 3 course dinner for $74 and it as great. The shrimp and grits were a special treat and the steak was perfect.

Great Waiter.

By LostInTime |

I went here for dinner. I’ve been here once before. My waiter was Thomas. He was the nicest waiter ever. All the other related to service where also great. I think he might be the best server I’ve ever had. The food was also quite good. I had a wedge salad, a shrimp cocktail, and a ribeye. All were very good. On a five scale I’d give the food a solid 4 and the service a 6.

Neck and neck with the top steak houses in Vegas!

By Karen K fitz |

Neck and neck with the best! Perfect atmosphere with dark wood and more booths than tables (yay!). Our waiter and helpers were smooth, funny, never rushed us. Started with the tuna tartare, 3 warm crunchy sticks of a sticky rice, cool tartare on top, greens on the side, roe(?) topped with a mix of soy sauce and something else and pearls of more of a tobasco/ wasabi dollops. Split a warm spinach salad which the staff served on separate plates (a plus) with bleu cheese, nuts tons of bacon and a nice dressing. Fresh pepper was offered. Rolls were nice with whipped butter making spreading easier. As requested, the bone in ribeye came medium, sliced and perfectly seasoned. Ordered a side of grilled shrimp instead of potatoes or other veggies, Also the wine list is small but sides more with bold California cabs. Decanted at the table as requested. Waitstaff expertly cleared the table when coffee was served. We skipped dessert as nothing out of the ordinary stood out. We will be back!

Nice front for a decent cantina

By Oslo-TJ |

This is a nice front, it gives off the impression that its a bit fancy but the kitchen in the back and the waiters are struggeling to keep the food and service matching it. The steak was pretty close to a medium-reare but not all the way there. The sauces was foamy and a bit over salted..that was nice because the steak was not salted at all. (that turned out ok, because there was no salt or pepper at the table, so it helped the steak). Baked potato came with nothing but some sourcream and some foamy butter thingy. For everything you paied extra, and it looked to me that the special they have been pushing for weeks now - are a combo that dont have the price listed anywhere.. so its hard for people to know what they are ordering...money wise if the prices was, lets say 2/3, it would be a 4 star from me. Its a ok steakhouse that has its prices turned up to much.

CRAZY PRICES AND MEALS RUSHED

By Ed R |

The steaks and dishes we ate were very good, but $125 for a steak dinner for one and two sides was beyond overpriced. I know we were in a casino in Las Vegas but this was utter nonsense. The worst part was they shoved the food on the table. I put my spoon down from the soup and they dumped the steak on the table. This is a high end restaurant not Mcdonalds. I mentioned to the Manager and he said he was sorry.

Waiter with his head up his backside

By loraines520 |

By far this restaurant was the worse one I had ever dined at in the US. The waiter clearly wasn’t interested and we seemed an inconvenience to his busy day , Busy did I say busy ??? The restaurant was half empty and that should have set alarm bells ringing ! The food was mediocre and overpriced. Even Wendy’s restaurant was more friendly and appealing. Give the Tender Restaurant at the Luxor Hotel/ Casino a big miss. Wouldn’t eat there again if you paid me to.

Totally overrated & overpriced

By Indy P |

Totally overpriced restaurant and we got caught to paying $31 for some pictures that were taken at the table, which you don't expect at a restaurant. The food was average. The waiter was very professional.

Treated Us Like Royalty!

By nhock19 |

My husband and I got married in Vegas on 7/9/2019 and stayed at the Luxor. We decided to have our wedding night dinner at Tender Steakhouse and the hotel made us a reservation. We don't go out for fancy dinners at home and this place blew us away! From the minute we walked in, the staff treated us like royalty. Made a fuss that we were just married and congratulated us. Our server was attentive and everyone we came in contact with was friendly. The atmosphere is romantic... if your trying to whoop it up and be loud- go somewhere else :). Our food was perfect and we only wished we could've eaten there one more time before we had to go home. Thank you to everyone on Staff! Also- they had an in house photographer and she took great pictures of us that we ended up purchasing!

Excellent Evenimg

By NOBIGTOE |

We dined on Christmas Eve and was apprehensive that the staff might not be operating at100%. This was not the case and the food and service were excellent. Food preparation was spot on and all courses were served in a timely fashion. We never felt rushed and allowed to dine in leisure. All menu items are ala carte. Dinner for 3 including drinks and gratuity was $300. We did not order wine. The atmosphere is traditional steakhouse with heavy wood and black leather. The manager did check on our table to ensure our satisfaction. Considering that the Las Vegas Strip was packed and that many places were closed, I found it exceptional that everything was excellent. I will return.

Scam

By Bruce W |

Went there for a fine meal for two couples. The waiter, although friendly, suggested the specialty, which was fillet topped with lobster pieces, asparagus, and Bearnaise sauce. Two of us got the special, and were surprised, and UPSET when we got the bill. They charged us an additional $28.00 per person, as an add on to our fillets for the lobster pieces, sauce, and asparagus. I would not have had a problem paying for this, if I was told and it was my choice. The waiter failed to tell us about the add on when we ordered. We were scammed by the waiter who knew of the additional charge and never disclosed it. I WOULD NEVER, GO BACK, AS THERE ARE SO MANY FINE STEAKHOUSES IN VEGAS.

A salty night

We ordered Lobster Bisque and Lobster Risotto and that's all. The bisque was good and my husband liked it but the Risotto was so salty I couldn't even eat it. Very disappointing. I have this often when I eat out. Wont order the next time

Nice spot.

I’ve now been here 4 times. It’s been great every time. I had Thomas as my waiter. I’ve had him once before and he’s great. The shrimp cocktail was great. And the ribeye was perfect. And the decor is awesome. I really like this place.

Nothing special

By RussellERennie |

Opted for the last table seating time after seeing Carrot Top. Place was near empty, no atmosphere to it. Seated quickly and food ordered. Served quick enough but they’d butterflied my steak which I wasn’t that happy about. Good steak otherwise but not that impressed by the sides

Not impressed with the meal

By GSP_Mom |

Very disappointed in the food. Service, however, was excellent (5/5). *Crab cake- 4/5, good, had better *Coffee butter Ribeye: 2/5. under seasoned, cooked as ordered (med rare), very tough and lots of grizzle. Difficulty cutting with a steak knife. *Herbed wild mushrooms: this is a personal dislike as a strong wine undertone in the sauce. Food came out as expected (not quick, was not sitting under a warmer). Fresh and hot. perhaps I ended up getting a poor cut of meat, but based on my experience, and the cost of the main, I will not be back. Again, service was EXCELLENT.

Great anniversary dinner!

By Cherie G |

We visited Tender for the first time on this trip when celebrating our anniversary. We went on a Thursday night about 7 pm and got a nice booth with no reservation. I had the 8 oz filet and hubby had the king crab and we shared the Yukon Gold garlic mashed potatoes and the carrots. He had 3 huge crab legs that had been cut to allow easy access to the crabmeat. I ordered my filet medium rare but it arrived on the rare side so asked for it to be cooked a couple of minutes more. It came back, in my opinion, perfectly medium rare with warm inside and nice char on outside. It was nicely seasoned, very tender and very delicious. The menu had a good selection of steaks plus bison, pork chops and lamb. We didn't order any appetizers or soup. We were both very satisfied with the amount of foid, quality of the food and the very good service. The chef sent out a free desert (a delicious creme brulee) for our anniversary. We had a leisurely dinner that was very enjoyable.

Best Steak!

By Nattysimps |

The most amazing steak on the strip. The menu is great and service is top notch. I have been many times and never been let down. If you love steak - this is a MUST VISIT.

Shockingly bad !!!!!

By lazysod |

Again, we used TripAdvisor to filter down the best steakhouses in town. The tender steakhouse in the Luxor rated quite high so we gave it a go. After a £50 taxi ride to get there we had a drink at the bar and were escorted to the table. The restaurant looks great inside. I ordered the Bison having overdosed on Beef over the fewdays, the wife ordered a well done burger with a jacket potato side. Both meals arrived but the burger was raw, the blood was still running red on the base of the bun. We asked for it to be cooked to well done. The waiter even commented that it was raw. It seemed like an age before the meal was re presented by which time I had finished my meal. However the burger was exactly the same as the original....raw. At that point e called it a draw and asked for the bill and left. The meal was not charged as we would have expected, the sides were. The bison I would rate as average....Would not return....

Special Dinner for 50th Birthday

By cindymoorept |

We ate here because the couple we were with had eaten here several times and it is one of their favorites. It is a bit expensive but the food was good. Most of our party got steaks (obviously) and they were pleased with them. The lobster risotto was very good. The pork chop is our friend's favorite. I have to say that the crab cake appetizer was extremely good and if I came back, I would get that has my entree with a salad or side vegetabel. The drinks in the bar were especially good.

Birthday Dinner

By DonnieB15 |

This was my second visit to Tender Steak House and will go there again and again. The food is incredible; the staff is fantastic and very knowledge esp. with the menu and wine selection and the ambiance is out of this world. we selected the Tomahawk special it was the most tender and perfectly seasoned steak ever!! which included soup or salad, two sides, we had the loaded baked potato and sautéed spinach and a cheesecake for dessert. The meal did not disappoint at all if you're in Vegas don't miss this gem of a restaurant while your there.

Mediocre

By Mel0921 |

First time eating here. Service was good, food was ok. They were out of Sparkling water, charged for regular water which I thought was weird. Didn’t have Rose but offered a White Zin- no thanks. Baked potato was hard and served luke warm until they took it back and heated it- unfortunately it was still hard. Minimal toppings for potato were offered- just sour cream and butter. The whipped garlic mashed potatoes were the hit for me as well as the salad. My friends both got meat dishes which they said were good. So many other places to go to in Vegas- came here using a reward which made it ok. I would not return if I had to pay 100% out of pocket.

Fantastic!!

By carmen m |

Came over the Holidays season. Had a reservation and seated promptly. Our server Thomas was Excellent!! We ordered the ribeye, king crab and a side of mashed potatoes. We asked if we could split the meal, that was no problem. This is one of the best steaks we have had out in a long time. Exceeded Micheal Mina at Bellagio. We are Very picky about our steak. We are from Canada and often buy our steaks from a local rancher. The ambiance was great and priced extremely reasonable. Would highly recommend and will be back!!

They try...but can only do so much

By udmover |

Made reservations here for our last night in town. Wanted something nice, but not too over the top. Even looking at the menu beforehand it didn't register with me that all the entrees are served a la carte, adding $9-20 on top of an already expensive entree. The atmosphere is very nice, and it is obvious they tried very hard to create a pleasant, upscale environment. However, it is very hard to maintain that illusion while smelling the obnoxious cigarette smoke and hearing the obnoxious ding-ding-ding from the slot machines literally feet from the entrance. Other, equally expensive establishments, seem to have mitigated these issues. We ordered the charcuterie platter and was disappointed. I create a better (and cheaper) platter myself for the holidays from grocery store options. I ordered a tenderloin steak and asked for rare-medium rare. I will admit this was cooked to my request. The seasoning was mild and flavorful, and the portion size was acceptable for $57. The sides, while extra, were surprisingly large and tasty. We ordered garlic mashed potatoes and mushrooms with onions. My wife had scallops and remarked that they were very good. While sporting a very large wine list, there were only about a half dozen options of wines by the glass- everything else was bottle only, which struck me as very odd for an upscale place. Our server was friendly and quick to respond, as things had not really picked up yet and the place was pretty empty. Bottom line- total tab was over $200 for two people. While the meal was acceptable, there are lots of other, and frankly better, options for a nice dinner in Vegas.

Delicious

Visited Tender back in July for an Anniversary, and let me tell you it was AMAZING! Hands down best Filet Mignon I have EVER had! Best Steak House in Vegas.

A must try!

By henri l |

Great steakhouse with excellent service. Rib eye was cooked to perfection along with a flavorful baked potatoe. The crème brûlée was delicious with a perfectly carmelized topping. Definitely worth a repeat visit. The ambiance is nostalgic and romantic. This is probably the best steakhouse in the MGM family and definitely at the top throughout Las Vegas!

Must try

By Steve |

Our original experience was poor because we hated the service. We brought our great friends to Las Vegas for their 30th anniversary and we were celebrating the actual day at Tender steak house and the server didn’t acknowledge it at all. Service was horrible and odd so we told the manager as we were leaving. He invited us back and the service was unbelievable and the food was outstanding. We shared the Kobe beef and other things and all was just amazing. I’m glad we went back a 2nd time and we would go back again without hesitation! It was never our purpose to get a chance to return for free but what great customer service this restaurant and this hotel have!111

Finally a reasonably priced restaurant in a hotel

By Swymgims |

Well after our last debarcle. Thought we would try a different complex. Took a look and came up with a choice of two and 50% of the party preferred this one so I was out voted. Anyway asked for a table and was told there was a 20 minute wait, thought a bit odd as it appeared to be empty, wasn't a problem though. So taken to the table sooner than expected. We were seated.

Baller bison!

By dave1013 |

Had dinner here with family in October 2018. This was our splurge dinner. I thought the food was great. I never really had a good cut of bison and concluded this was the time and place to go for it. There were two choices, a top sirloin and and ribeye. The server confirmed my thought that the top would be dry, so I went with the ribeye. It was a good choice - this was a great piece of meat. Not the least bit gamey and quite juicy. Frankly, I wouldn’t have known it was bison as it tasted a lot like beef. I had a side of creamed spinach and that was very good. Our party of five ran up a bill of approx. $465. With top the goal came to $550. That included drinks and a few appetizers. So the place is not bargain-priced, but I enjoyed this meal. For a special occasion, it’s aces!

Great night out.

By Ross |

We ate at the bar and service was great. Busy night but everything went smoothly. The crispy salmon was very tasty. My wife's filet was very good and bartender recommended a fine wine.

Quiet in the Storm

By KOSTx |

We are NOT 'Vegas' people, but biz takes us there every few years. This year, we dined at Tender TWICE. Not just because Emilio was super nice, (the whole staff we interacted with were) but the food and the ambiance were a respite from the WAY TOO MUCH noise in Vegas. At Tender, you can melt away into a big, private booth (ask for a quiet room, it's bigger than it looks in there) and let yourself breathe. We didn't have reservations on a Tuesday night, on Thursday, we made reservations and it was a bit busier. The wine list hit on all points from reasonable, to tempting to ridiculous, primarily California selection. Hubs had the Lobster Bisque. LOVE at first taste. You could actually TELL that the saucier had spent time and expertise on that bowl. The ONLY thing that would make it better is if one of the Crab and Lobster Cakes (OMG) was plopped in the middle of it. I ate them slowly, they were perfect with a lemon aioli and tomato emulsion. My filet was good, not as good as our FAVE steak place, but the woody wild sautéed mushroom side topped it well. The potatoes were too rich, seriously, they were over the top. I'd skip 'em next time and do a steamed veg. The second time was just as good as the first. The Bisque was still delish, and my side of scallops were wonderful. Hubs report on the Steak Burger was that it was 'rich'. I'd highly recommend Tender when you must be in Vegas. You deserve it.

Blowout last night in Vegas dinner!

Great atmosphere / staff / decor / lighting. We split the Tomahawk sirloin and lobster Mac n cheese, paired with Viejo Roja red wine. Will eat here again. Luxor is underrated.

Seafood platter is not to be missed

By Natalie S |

We decided to make reservations at Tender Steakhouse before going to see Carrot Top. I had never been before and didn’t know what to expect. It had classic steakhouse ambiance, and the service was impeccable. The seafood platter is a must - the crab legs with drawn butter are to die for! A couple of us ordered our steaks rare and they were cooked to perfection - not always the case at other steakhouses we’ve been to. The garlic mashed potatoes were the perfect compliment. And the bartender even shook me up a fabulous Cadillac margarita. Highly recommended.

Paid a visit in November while staying at the Luxor

By Trevor Sherwood |

While staying in the Luxor in November we had built up a rewards offer off Myvegas to use here so we dropped in one evening for dinner. Our table reservation was for 5.30 however when we arrived we were told it wasn't ready so we had to wait in the bar. About 10-15 minutes passed before we were called to be taken inside. We found that once we were inside it filled up pretty quickly and we felt quiet rushed through or starter - main course with the waiter returning every few minutes to see was everything OK. Food was nice but again we felt as it we couldn't sit and relax with a drink afterwards l. We would return as the food was nice but we would prefer to be able enjoy our food.

Ribeye with extra

By oestrup76 |

The steakhouse served steaks like ribeye and wagye meat. Having had wagye meat on another restaurant, I tried the ribeye, and it was perfect. You order the steak alone, and the you combine it with side dishes (patatos, fried, vegetables).

Jackpot

By skybus320 |

Good quality ingredients, well located and nice buzz about the place, fairly pricey but hey its Vegas, will return when staying in the Luxor

Great place

By LostInTime |

I went here with my two daughters. First the service is great. And it’s nice and quiet inside. It feels like old time class. The shrimp cocktail was very good. The bourbon also good. The ribeye was great. My daughters has filets and loved them. This place is better than much more expensive steak houses in Vegas and I’ve been to a lot of them.

Steakhouse Dinner

By Jason D |

Certainly not at the top of any of the Mlife casino steakhouses. Let’s start with service. Outside of delivering our bread and filling my water once, we did not see our waiter. He had little personality and just didn’t provide service. The lady he sent to come over to take our plates and ask about dessert didn’t even know if they offered a medium or dark roast coffee. The food was very average. The prime rib had a decent flavor and a bonus that they offered raw horseradish. The cut was very fatty and probably covered over 1/3 of the cut. The mashed potatoes were done well. The asparagus was cooked perfectly. The Salmon was extremely boring if you don’t thoroughly just enjoy the taste of salmon itself like my wife. The sauce was a simple tomato purée based sauce with little flavor. The couscous was a decent base for the salmon. The side of mushrooms were probably the highlight of the main dishes/sides and the cheesecake was the best dish of the dinner. Overall a 3 was a stretch for this experience but I can’t give a 2 1/2. Not likely to return.

F1 Wagyu Experience was excellent

By Roger K |

My 4th time here and this place is 2 for 2 with me. I had the Wagyu Experience which consists of 3 cuts of Wagyu beef, a Filet, New York Strip and a Ribeye. Beef was melt in your mouth delicious. Plate was $125. Had a Wedge Salad and Manhattan with it. Total bill was $167.79 not including tip. I sat at the bar and the tender was terrific. I have to say that I stopped in for this meal the night before and sat at the bar. The bartender did not acknowledge me and was milling around and then disappeared. I had to walk out after about 8 or nine minutes. Was not the same person who served me this night.

Really great spot.

By LostInTime |

I stopped here on a Friday night. It wasn’t very crowded and I got seated right away. The waiter was exceptional. The shrimp cocktail was quite good. The wedge salad was also good. The ribeye was amazing. A nice place to eat.

Mixed Reviews on Food - Jaded by the Manager

By Kristen T |

It was our last night in Vegas so we wanted a nice dinner. Since we were staying at the Luxor, we opted for steak at Tender. We had reservations for a Monday night, but it did not seem as we needed them. It was the day after a holiday weekend so many had left Vegas. Our server was very friendly. Our order was taken right away, as soon as we were ready. All food came out quickly. Shared Sides: - Lobster Risotto: If you like lobster and risotto, this is a must have. Cooked perfect. - Lianaise Potatoes: They came recommended but were not a hit for our table. Dinners: - Lobster Bisque Soup: Perfect amount of lobster and creaminess as well as portion. I would get again. - 8 oz. Filet: Requested cook - Medium. The ends were cooked right, but the middle was rare. I had returned the meal and the remaining filet came out a little too done, but was still tasty. - Filet Oscar: Requested cook - Medium. The entire filet was rare; only noticed after a bite was taken due to lighting in the restaurant. It was sent back and when it came out, the crab and sauce were now overcooked and the meal ruined. Rewind to when the meals 1st arrived, the manager had come around to ask how everything was. Since we had just started cutting and everything we had thus far was good, we had said all was good. After dinner, when the bill came (keep in mind that the filet oscar was not eaten at all) there was nothing removed or discounted from the bill. When we mentioned the bill, the manager came back over, he had an attitude and said "this is why I had asked how everything was", instead of apologizing and asking what he could do. I had told him he had come before we knew about the steak. He and the server left with the bill. He didn't say anything nor came back, but when the server brought back the check, the meal was removed, after we had looked - the server never mentioned any change in the bill. There are plenty of restaurants in Vegas and a lot of steakhouses. Next time if we want steak, it wont be at Tender.

Best steakhouse on the Las Vegas Strip?

By Taylor B |

You don't have to step outside the Luxor Hotel and Casino to enjoy an excellent meal--breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or late-night buffet. it's all there for the hungry diner. It's a very competitive market, of course, but my wife and I are convinced that the Luxor's Tender Steakhouse may be the best in town. We noticed that some other reviewers have expressed the same sentiment. Located at the Casino level and open from 5 to 10, Tender Steakhouse draws raves for its prime steaks. We wanted to see why so we passed on our usual more fish/less meat philosophy (we'll order the wild Pacific halibut and wild caught salmon next time) and chose to concentrate on executive chef Henry Marchman's steaks. We started with shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque and Caesar salad. My wife opted for an eight-ounce, 21-day aged Midwestern beef, a filet mignon with Yukon Gold garlic mashed potatoes and honey roasted baby carrots. I chose the 16-ounce Black Angus New York strip with baked potato and roasted mushrooms and onions. It was as good as advertised. For dessert, we shared rich chocolate cake with mousse and raspberry. Tender Steakhouse is a truly outstanding fine dining experience, one of the best that Las Vegas has to offer.

Amazing steak for our last night in Vegas

By Kimberley Clement |

This place has such a proper old school Vegas vibe! It was absolutely amazing. We used our mlife rewards credit toward our lovely meal which was also amazing! The steak was cooked fab! The sides were unreal the wine was also a really great price for a Vegas restaurant. We would definitely return on our next Vegas trip the staff made you feel so welcome!

Excellent Lobster tail and filet mignon!!

By Lou F |

We are at TENDERS tonight and I was impressed!! We has the 10 oz. Australian lobster tail and a 10 oz filet mignon. Both were excellent! The caprese salad was one if the best that we ever had. Nice and fresh tomatoes, they had 4 different kinds of tomatoes. We also had the honey glazed carrots and the lyonnaise potatoes. They were ok. Would go back again. If you are familiar with my Vegas app and M Life, they do have a $75 off coupon, you do have to spend $150 or more to use it. With lobster costing $65 and a 10 oz filet costing $57 you don't have to add much to make the $150.

Family and Friends Meal

By Tina M |

What a superb meal we all had. There were 7 of us, all treated well by Dewi despite one of the party calling him Tony all night by mistake. He was knowledgeable and Friendly. Great steaks, great wines recommended by Dewi and a fabulous time had by all. Definitely go back.

A filet mignon second to none

By Mark W |

This was a return visit to Tender. Each time I've been there both food and service were excellent. This time was the best visit of all. My filet mignon was one of the best I've ever eaten. Salad and dessert were fabulous, as well. Service was exceptional.

The food wasn't bad.

By Fearless Rabbit |

Our waiter was terrific - he was polite, attentive, professional, and kind. We loved the atmosphere inside the restaurant. Recommend the Chocolate cake as a desert. The service was very good. Nice location. The food wasn't bad.

Night out

By Eyeou |

This restaurant is good for a fancy dinner or spoiling yourself. I went with my husband and we were so stuffed that we had to request a doggy bag. The steaks were cooked perfectly. For sure the highlight for me was the tuna tartar. Creative and beautifully presented..loved the wasabi caviar!! We couldn’t manage dessert after each ordering an appy, steaks, and 2 sides! I liked how it was a team approach to service as we felt attended to.

Tender Steakhouse Dinner Review

By gcciz |

Filet mignon was cooked to my satisfaction and almost melted in my mouth. Large baked potato with butter and bacon was also excellent. Waiter was superb and came by very often to ask about the food and red wine.

Mediocre

By Dreamtraveler71 |

Mostly disappointed with our food. Had the bison sirloin which was too tough for the price. It actually had gristle in several bites. One person in our party had to send their steak back because it wasn’t cooked enough. They also forgot to bring the mac & cheese that was ordered. Large baked potato was good. Salad was very average. Would have expected other lettuces besides iceberg. Good bread. Service was ok, but felt a bit rushed towards the end of the meal since it was getting close to closing time. Expected only the best in all areas, but disappointed. Won’t be returning.

Delicious

Used the myvegas reward here last night. The food is delicious! Not sure I would eat here at full price, but definitely enjoyed the entire experience last night. They serve Vox water and have greater starter bread. The burger was close to 12 ounces and the desserts were very good.

I loved the food, the wine and particularly the mango sorbet that was delicious. The place is welcoming, the seating is spacious and comfortable. The waiters are friendly and efficient.

Expensive and not satisfied!

By Gregory S |

So it’s a steak house, I understand they’re expensive, but usually you leave satisfied… The filet was outstanding but stupid expensive. We got a side of mashed potatoes and it was about a cup and a half which also was stupid expensive. Anyways, I left there less $150 and still hungry.

Christmas Dinner

By Win C |

I’m sure like other reviewers you know that this is an expensive place. We ordered the cheese plate- don’t order, mixed greens salad- yummy, filet mignon- not very tasty-needed seasoning esp salt, NY strip- fatty and also not very tasty, bone in pork chop- AWESOME, mac n cheese side- good and creamed spinach- ok. Service is good but know for four people you are spending over $250 here.

Nothing special

By Matt C |

Wouldn’t go again. Limited CoVid menu 🙄. Steak came not very hot. Put in back semi-private room. Steak was good. Seasoned nicely. Thom was great. But won’t go back.

Hidden Gem

By Raspberry B |

This was our third visit to Tender and we expect there to be many, many more. The food is fantastic, the staff is stellar, and the ambiance is amazing! My spouse and I split a Tomahawk special for two, which included soup or salad, choice of two sides and a scrumptious dessert each. We dined with another couple and everyone loved it! We will definitely be back!

We had an excellent meal! Starting with appetizers and drinks to perfectly cooked steaks and delicious deserts!! Service is friendly, professional and spot on!

Great meal. Great Service. Hidden gem in Las Vegas.

Stayed at the Luxor during weekend trip to see the Cleveland Browns dominate the Las Vegas Raiders. We made reservations and we greeted with friendly hostesses who quickly took us to our seat. The atmosphere was great. The Luxor itself was not the greatest, but Tender really stood out. The service was great. The food was great. We split a ribeye, potato and the underrated star of the show was the pulled pork mac and cheese. Delicious.

WORST STEAK DINNER EXPERIENCE EVER - and Ive had a few steak dinners

By tony w |

I stayed at Luxor and was looking forward to a nice steak on my last night - I booked a table and first impressions were good - that lasted until I was seated - my server came up to me from behind and tapped me on the shoulder in the way you would pet a dog then proceeded to talk to me in very very poor english I couldn't understand a word - I ordered a beer and after about 15 minutes he asked for my order - a 20 oz rib eye medium rate, mashed potatoes and asparagus - I was looking forward to it - silly me the steak arrived it was very rare - not good for a rib eye as you need to render the fat - the potatoes were hot and tasty and the asparagus was cold and undercooked. They took my steak back to the kitchen and must have put the plate under the grill to coo the steak again - when it came back the veg on the plate was dried out and the veggies on my table were not replaced and were now stone cold. Next up was a another stroking of my shoulder and asking if everything was now good - Told the server i was unhappy and would not pay for the veggies - he brought me a complimentary creme brûlée about 2 inches square which I don't like and didn't want. Finally asked to see the manager but apparently he was busy schmoozing a large party in a room behind me and couldn't see me - I paid and left. It appears that single diners are not particularly welcome here and are relegated to the rookie server and ignored. Based on this experience i would NEVER EVER return here

Wedding Party - AMAZING!

By 212bethanyw |

We got married in Vegas on 14.11.2019 and had our wedding meal at Tender Steakhouse located inside the Luxor hotel. We can not thank you Tender Steakhouse enough!! From the moment we made the booking the service was fantastic. Ourselves and the restaurant managed to arrange the most amazing wedding meal even though we live the other side of the world in the UK. We had the private 'Club room' for 25 people, the set menu and drinks package was amazing and such good value for money!! We were overwhelmed with the food standard, the steak was the best steak we have ever eaten. The service was also outstanding, all the staff could not do enough do for ourselves and all our guests. Would highly recommend the restaurant from large parties.

This entire hotel is stuck in 1997 the food wasn’t good

By Dj S |

Steak was surprisingly overdone and dry and gristly. I had a long day so didn’t even want to complain at that point just chalked it up as a loss. Ordered surf and turf chefs special for 110 with 6 oz filet and lobster tail. Staying at the Luxor is like staying in jail except you can leave when you have an overcooked streak.

Good food but service was lacking

By A7869IBjeffreys |

We liked the food--steaks were very good--but had to ask repetedly for assistance from the wait staff--and the restaurant was not crowded! Later, we discovered that the waiter had not told us about the specials (overheard the offers at the next table)--and one in our party would have ordered the steak/shrimp offering. Had to ask twice for refills, the onions that I requested, etc...

The most boring restaurant in Las Vegas!

By John K |

We are staying at Luxor for 4 nights, last night was our first night and we were so tired we decided to stay nearby rather than uber it someplace. We chose TENDER and sat at the bar, Monday at 9:00 pm. The bartender was clueless and not friendly, I ordered a bottle of red wine and was shocked by the pricing, many $12 cost bottles were marked up 5X or more. Even for Vegas, outrageous. We ordered the crab cakes, cheese board and charcuterie to share. To say it was mediocre, would be a lie, it was sub mediocre. The crab cakes were smelly and barely warm, we each ate one leaving the 3rd unconsumed. We asked what the cheeses were, no one knew, it didn’t matter since there was barely 3 ounces of cheese on the “board”. The “charcuterie” was basically old cold cuts, poorly presented and grossly over priced. We should have gone to the stage deli just around the corner. Hint: if a restaurant is empty, there is a reason why.

Delicious dinner!

I ordered the sea bass. Large portion & delicious! Dessert was huge! on first impression I knew I couldn't eat it all...but I did!!

Hidden Gem!!

This is by far my favourite steakhouse in Las Vegas - hands down!!! The food is amazing and service if first class. You will not be disappointed.

A great end too a day

By 548Steveg_12 |

after a very long day, and some junk food, I wanted to sit down too good service and good food, we eat at Tender steak house at the Luxor hotel, this is the 3rd time in the last 3 years, the server was over the top with great service, and my rib eye was a perfect med-rare, the veggie's were just the right grilled, and so on, and at the end of our meal, the hand-crafted ice cream was too die for, almost as good as salt and straw in Portland Oregon.

Great Food

By lmdbooking |

The steaks were great and tasty. My wife's steak was little salty but perfectly done. The environment is OK. The service is superior by Mr. Juan G. He pays great attention to us with a big smile. We had a great Valentines dinner.

Wedding Celebrations

By Dobrea A |

We got married in Vegas and celebrated here for dinner with some friends. The saw us just married and they made our night even more special, with a bottle of champagne on the house, and little dessert at the end. The service was amazing. The food, steak and seafood, was exceptional. I wanna thank everyone who waited us, they really made us feel special.

Great Local Gem at the Luxor

By mfcMinneapolis |

This was an unexpected surprise. We met at the Luxor for a Saturday night guys evening and chose Tender. I have been at dozens of Las Vegas Steakhouses and wasn't sure what to expect. They were having a special Prime Rib dinner running for several weekends. All I can say is don't miss this one! Tender is actually a very large facility in a big resort hotel/casino, but you would never know it from the time you are seated until you finish. It is broken up into about 7 different dining rooms which give it an intimate feel. The staff is well trained and attentive. We knew we were getting the prime rib but we ordered some terrific starters and sides. We started with a short rib risotto. Cooked perfectly and just the right size portion. We also had a seafood sampler with a large shrimp, oyster, and a nice chunk of lobster accompanied by tangy cocktail sauce. The flavor was terrific. The salad course was a classic wedge, but not as you might expect the traditional is prepared. It was a much smaller wedge of iceberg covered with obviously homemade blue cheese dressing and the best in-house smoked bacon strips on top. I could have eaten a full pound of the bacon. We then hit the main event of sumptuous prime rib. slow roasted with some crispy potatoes nicely cooked carrots. The real kicker here was the au jus was not the traditional watery beef broth but a reduction of the true jus from the meat.A very nice touch to cap off the main event. We finished with an amazing chocolate dense cake with fancy chocolate decorations. It was truly a great meal. Don't miss this gem!

I just had the most tender and perfectly seasoned steak ever!! Everything was amazing from the bread to the loaded baked potato to, of course, the steak. I will try to fit it into my schedule to visit again before I leave.

Delicious food and wine

By Sarah B |

Delicious teak restaurant, we had a final night meal here for 15 people, the service was great, the food delicious an drinks to match. The only let down would be the price, it isn't cheap, but for the quality of food we ate we weren't put off.

Tender? Try overcooked

By Lanette E |

We went to this restaurant due to reviews. In all fairness we went late....close to 9? 9:30? (but in Vegas is this really late?) Not sure if they were tired back there, or what? but I was hungry and expected a "tender" steak so when I ordered....both my husband and I got overcooked instead. He a filet...med rare...I.. medium NYstrip. Mine had barely any pink, his was way over done closer to med well. The wedge was sloppy and underwhelming as I was looking forward to the rich bitterness of the blue cheese...it was more like old ranch? By the website and reviews I was excited to eat here....I hate to complain (which I didn't to the restaurant) but as some colleagues from our business conference were walking up to eat as we were leaving...we suggested they might have better luck at good eats somewhere else. Not worth the price tag.....Wont be going back here either

One of the best meals in Vegas

By Keith |

Stayed at the Luxor for 6 days during which time we tried numerous restaurants and this was the best. We both had the fillet which was cooked exactly as requested and the flavour and texture was superb. The sides were also excellent. There was a great selection of wine and cocktails and the creme brûlée was lovely. It can get a bit pricey, we had 3 course each (including fillet steak) 2 bottles of wine, a cocktail each and a beer, and some side dishes which cost us 350 USD. Ouch! But I have to say it was damn good! The waiter was excellent and he had been working there since the Luxor opened (about 26 years) and it sounds like they treat their staff pretty well.

OK steak for the price

By RockNRoller |

The steak was good and cooked as ordered. The Salmon was a little dry. The service was very good. I would eat here again.

Classy and Delicious

By Jake N |

My fiance decided to eat her on our last night in Vegas since we were staying in the Luxor. The food was amazing and the staff incredible. It is a fine dining establishment and I felt out of place in jeans and a button down.

Very good food, service and atmosphere for a good Vegas price

By joe_testa |

Came here for a birthday celebration and really enjoyed everything. My wife has the pan roasted chicken and I had the bone in ribeye. Everything was cooked to perfection

Not Prime Rib

By Charles S |

My wife and I visited there today for dinner and ordered their signature prime rib. I have never had a tougher piece of meat in my life. Couldn't even cut it with the supplied steak knife. My dog's rawhide chew would be more tender. Kudos to our waiter for taking them back to the Cook. We left without eating. Steer clear.

Great Steakhouse

By R O |

We had dinner here 1 night. The food was superb! The filets were excellent & so was the salmon. Very nice waiter. It's a bit pricey but well worth it.

Best meal of the trip

By ScottRoby |

I probably had one of the best surf and turf meals ever at this restaurant. The filet was cooked perfectly as ordered as were everyone's steak be it ordered medium rare to medium well. Mine was accompanied by shrimp scampi which were about 5 big shrimp and cooked perfectly. My side was brussel spouts and again no complaints. This is not a cheap place. I think for everything I ordered plus two martinis and tip it came to about $150. But worth it. A better return than gambling. Ha ha.

Delectable & delicious

By N1ng N1ng |

A luxurious setting with really nice staff. The menu was full of variety and I went for the Porterhouse with the delicious crispy potatoes, my partner enjoyed the Mishima Wagyu steak & bone marrow Followed this with a rather large portion of New York Cheesecake whilst she had a very tasty Crème Brûlée

Ray Knows Vegas

By Ray Knows Vegas |

Had dinner before attending the Garth Brooks concert. Juan my server was excellent steak cooked perfectly. Downhill from there ordered a Manhattan terrible. Asked for crab Oscar looked like ground up mush threw on my steak. Lobster mac and cheese there was no lobster in it and the pasta was too big for the dish very disappointed.

Great steakhouse

By Cindy D |

We ate at Tender in May 2019 while we were staying at the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas. We both ordered the 8 ounce filet cooked medium rare and shared sides of asparagus and sautéed onions and mushrooms. They brought us some nice warm bread to start with. Our steaks came out cooked perfectly. The asparagus was delicious, as was the sautéed onions and mushrooms. The waitstaff was excellent, refilling our water often and stopping by to see if anything was needed. We were surprised at the end of the meal when our waiter brought out a beautiful chocolate cake with a lit candle, as it was my husband’s birthday. The cake was delicious just like the rest of the dinner. I can’t wait to go back!

Fabulous steak and seafood

By AKW52245 |

We enjoyed both the steaks and the seafood. Great service form the waiters. The buffet was not open and this was more expensive for sure, but worth the money.

Disappointed

By Doug H |

There was a hard piece of something that was not supposed to be in my salad. Just about busted a tooth. Waiter took it away never asked me if I wanted anything else. So I sat there watch my wife eat her Salmon. Had to grab a Starbucks banana bread so where not late for AGT show. Was pretty disappointed from checking in with our 6:30 reservation to waiter to food quality. The only thing that was speedy was when asked for the bill. Other people's experience might be different but ours was not good. Went to Gallagher's the next night and what a delicious steak they serve there.

Very Good Steaks

By tharton2 |

Very Good steaks, Nice atmosphere, Alacart type menu, really nice place for a quite and cozy dinner.

Mediocre at best

By Dblue40 |

For a high end steakhouse, I wouldn’t recommend this place for the money. The nicest part is they stuck my family in a little room but the food was just mediocre. I had the filet and it was not very tender as would be expected in a restaurant like this. Our waiter didn’t know the menu. He would explain a meal saying “It is a steak something” or “For dessert we have something, I am not sure what it is called, ice cream.” We went here out of convenience as we were staying at the Luxor and went to one of their shows.

Classy place

By Mark R |

Great food and atmosphere. Had the best steak in my life back in 2007 and have wanted it ever since. Had the chaance to get it recently and it was just as good, if not better than before. Be prepared to spend a little money, it is a 3 dollar sign place, but well worth the dining experience. Their red wine choice to compliment their steaks is really good. Won't wait so long to go back next time

Mediocre and not worth the cost

By Rob W |

We don’t mind spending money for a good meal and tried Tender while at the Luxor. I had the strip steak, medium while my wife had the filet. Our 7 year old went with mac and cheese. I wish i did, too. Most of my strip was fine but not very flavorful. There were portions that i didn’t eat because they were tough and gristly. My wife’s filet was, according to her, very good. We also had the potatoes au gratin and creamed spinach, both of which were tasty. The mac and cheese was the best. The beer menu is limited. In my opinion, the meal was mediocre and not worth the cost, especially when the most memorable part of the meal was mac and cheese. I was disappointed. I will add that the wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Excellent food and service

By Lori F |

I have previously eaten here years ago and my experience was great. It hasn’t changed as the service, food and experience was excellent. I had the 8 oz. filet Mignon medium with garlic mashed potatoes and both came out perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Don’t waste your money here !!

By jocolli4 |

If I could give this place 0 I would!! Don’t waste your money at this restaurant! You’ll be upset you did and they do NOTHING to make it right except offer to “wash your steak off”!? Who does that? All the sides were cold, and it wasn’t super busy! The girl at the front seating people was extremely RUDE about a mask! We had our masks, mind you they just implemented it again, no big deal and we were wearing them! She told us we had to wear them after being seated until we got our drinks? Really lady?? Sorry but that’s not how that works, she sounded rude and ridiculous! Learn how to treat your customers because the food was horrible, and the staff wasn’t much better. Food was terrible, and I mean EVERY course! Even the cheese cake looked like it had sat in the kitchen a bit too long! Ended up sick from the food and stayed in the room the rest of the night! None of us had anything that was “good”. The mac & cheese was served stone cold and so were the “loaded” mashed potatoes. Never ever again will I go back. We did complain about the food, but they didn’t seem to care. Don’t think I would ever give this place another try! Wasn’t worth getting a stomach ache over! I’m pretty sure the coffee rub was not supposed to be that overly ridiculously salty. I had others try it to make sure it wasn’t just me, and they all said it was pretty bad! Such a bummer as I had really looked forward to this trip!

Wonderful service and meal

By vaca32 |

I am very surprised at the poor service comments in reviews. We had a wonderful server who was very friendly and attentive. My husband ordered the filet mignon and I got the bison rib-eye. Both very good. We got a side of mashed potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms. I had one glass of very good White Zinfandel and my husband had 2 glasses of Red wine. The bill was high, $188 plus tip. It is a nice place to go for a special meal.

Steak is NOT their specialty! Dine elsewhere!

By Tiffany |

We stopped in by chance because we were staying @ the hotel & were starving. Our waiter was exceptional. He was the best part. The food, not so much. They didn't really have any appetizers we wanted but we ordered the cream of mushroom soup which was very tasty & ended up being the best part of our meal. They had a special which was filet mignon & 4 sauted shrimp for abt $63 which my husband & I both got. We usually go for wagyu but we decided to try this since we hadn't really researched the restaurant. It would've been too high a price to gamble with. Anyways it's ala carte so we also ordered the broccoli & mashed potatoes which are sharable. From the steak to the sides none were hot like they'd just gotten done & the meal was very subpar. The steak tastes like it was made on a propane grill & it tasted like propane & had 0 seasoning. The broccoli was barely steamed & came w some cheese sauce that was less than desirable & the mashed potatoes were just mashed potatoes. Nothing stood out. There was no love put into making the food. None. We ordered 1 alcoholic drink which my husband loved & our bill w tip was $250. Which we don't mind paying for a quality meal but this was not that. Also a woman went around taking photos of every other table but conveniently skipped ours. & coincidentally we were the only melanated guests. So there's that. I would definitely not return nor recommend.

Flavorful food. Great Chefs.

The $59 combo meal was really great. Even chef Joey came out to speak to us. Lots of beautiful flavors and nice staff. Yummy cocktails.
