We stumbled upon a fantastic new restaurant on Court Street in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. What a gem! Tera Mera is a charming Indian restaurant with handwritten family recipes on the wall and an absolutely splendid oasis of a back yard. Chef/owner Shalini Vaswani and her sister opened the place just two weeks earlier. The food, atmosphere and service are all amazing! They plan regular updates to the menu, and they also have a nice retail selection of Indian foods and spices to take home. Highly recommend!

This was a celebratory dinner for my daughter's engagement. The whole experience here was truly beyond any rating. We had nine course dinner from 7 pm till 10:45 pm. Setting and decoration was 10/10. 40-year old champaign glasses (belonging to owner's mother) were 20/10. Literally, every course was 50/10. The intimacy and privacy for our family was 20/10. AND hosting was 100/10. It was a brilliant decision by my daughter's fiance, Matt, to have this absolutely memorable dinner here in "Tera Mera". How can we rate 200 out of 10 rating? Whenever we visit from Michigan, it will be a must visit for us. -- Nitin
