Service was good. Came for lunch on a Sunday. We were the 2nd table at the restaurant. Ordered pasta (good, but not amazing), burger and upgraded to Truffle fries. Pasta came out reasonably quickly. Waited for the burger. And waited. Then waited some more. As I went to look for James, our server, he came with my hamburger. But no truffle fries, just regular fries. So they went back. Burger was OK, but overcooked. After finishing our meals, we were told that our truffle fries would be out shortly. Trip Advisor has this rated as the #1 restaurant in the medical center. That is a joke. People that eat here are dealing with the stress of medical issues. They don't need the added stress of sub par food. Go anywhere else.

I came here to relax after spending the day at the hospital with my husband who is recovering from surgery. The food was great and what I really enjoy is the ambiance. It is well appointed and a great environment to unwind. My waiter, Tristan, was exceptional!

Daniel was amazing. He had so many people to help and he balanced it effortlessly. Forever grateful for his kindness and professionalism.

Overall, the combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a welcoming ambiance made for an outstanding experience. Hostess put me in the worst table right next to the bus trays and drinks where the waiters kept doing their duties right behind me; I felt so uncomfortable every time they transported plates and water.

I went to the terrace 54 bar with my baby to get her something quick to eat and was met with the most beautiful welcoming environment I’ve been to in a while, Ebony was so polite friendly and outgoing assisting me with my order but also going above and beyond helping me with my baby words can’t express my gratitude enough how friendly and welcoming the whole staff was we will definitely be back.

We dined here 3 night during our stay. I previously reviewed Ebony waited on us our first night and was an excellent waitress. The second two nights we had Tristan who was equally fabulous. He was very attentive and personable and delivered excellent customer service. Highly recommend this restaurant based on the food and wait staff!

The food quality here is 5 star! It is “farm to table” fresh and prepared perfectly. Compliments to the chef for job well done! Service was spectacular; timely and courteous. The restaurant is clean and not over crowed. (Plenty space to scoot chair back without hitting another table) Breakfast omelette was served with a fresh side salad of Spinach, fresh sliced purple onion, halved cherry tomatoes, topped with Lemon Dressing. Absolutely fresh and delicious! The coffee was superb!!!! This is the perfect place for those that are trying to eat clean! Dinner was New York strip which was prepared to perfection by the chef. Our serverTristan was super professional and accommodating!

As unbelievably great the Asian Cobb with grilled shrimp salad was yesterday, the Grilled Chicken Southwest salad today was a let down. While I did order it without the red onions and avocado, the salad was a huge pile of lettuce, plain grilled chicken, and an extremely small portion of beans, corn, and tomatoes. I believe it should have included tortilla strips but did not. I would recommend less lettuce and more of the other ingredients. Adding some cheese and anything else to give it more of a southwest flavor would be great. Overall, this $26 salad was less than comparable to a fast food offering. Additionally, I had to wait a considerable duration of time to Be asked if I wanted a refill of my beer (which I very much did). This was surprising as only a few tables were occupied around 2pm. I will try lunch again tomorrow with higher hopes!

We had a great New Year’s Eve dinner at Terrace 54. The NY strip was excellent and the lobster mac and cheese was absolutely delicious. But the shining star of the night was Daniel our server AND bartender. Man was he hustling last night. Not only was he a genuinely nice guy he provided great service and made some quality cocktails as well. Daniel jumped between the bar and his tables and made sure his guests were well taken care of. Thanks to him for a great night.

Fantastic food and such a welcoming team! A big thanks to Anthony and Deepu for their warm and attentive service they really elevated the whole experience. Every dish we tried was full of familiar Indian flavours but presented with a unique twist that made each bite exciting. The lamb curry was a standout, especially with the fun little shot of rum served alongside it! We left absolutely delighted. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and memorable hospitality.

We have eaten at Terrace 54 many times for all different types of meals while staying at the Westin Houston Medical Center. We have found the menu selections to have good variety and the quality of the food has been excellent. We have always had exceptional service, and I’d like to call out our server Ebony who is just next level. Her knowledge, customer care and warm personality has made our experiences at Terrace 54 even better!

A pleasant family dinner was turned most memorable by the impeccable service and attention of Daniel A. and Victor. The waiting left nothing to be desired, but was very nearly upstaged by what had to be the best pan-seared salmon I’ve had to date. Don’t let its perch atop the local Marriott fool you- Terrace 54, and Daniel and Victor, if you’re lucky, have what it takes to make a memory.

Lunch and drinks were great. But not as great as my server Ebony. She gave great recommendations and her service was amazing. I’ll be looking forward to visiting again with friends and looking forward to Ebony as our server.

We have come here everyday 4 days in a row. We are not staying at the hotel but the service and food have been soooooo amazing we keep coming back! We had the best bar tender- Daniel!

Funny how almost every 5 star review is someone with next to no contributions. Trip advisor needs to filter these out because trash restaurants like this should not be in top 1000 in Houston, let alone number 1, just insanity. Pathetic. Ate here before Morgan Wallen at NRG. Cold appetizers of tenderloin crostini and lamb meatballs on the mezze platter. The wings were decent. Spicy chicken sandwich and fries were cold. The beef on the Caesar salad was a minuscule portion. Shrimp were good. They forget to make my wife's pizza which came out after we were all done eating. The pizzas were good. It also should have been comped. The service was terrible besides the bar tender that was tending to out table was nice he was obviously not attentive...because he was the bartender and we were not at the bar...make that make sense. All in all 350 for a meal for 5 people that was overall pretty sad. Stay clear from here unless you stay at the hotel and this is your only option.

Brenda gave us absolutely amazing service from the moment we sat down. She was so warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome the whole time. The food was also incredible—everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. My boyfriend and I ordered the traditional breakfast, and it was perfectly cooked and really hit the spot. On top of all that, the rooftop view was stunning and made the entire experience even better. It was the perfect mix of great food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Don't be fooled. They hand out cards to customers to write 5 stars reviews for them. Staff gets paid extra for those. Food is not that good, drinks are mediocre. Servers gather too much to talk and don't pay attention to customers. managers not visible. But they hand out cards to give them 5 stars?

Enjoyed lunch after a long flight and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service from Mariana. I’m here because a family member is in the process of cancer treatment at Methodist. It’s nice to be able to sit outside on a patio without having to wear a mask. I highly recommend finding Daniel at Terrace 54. He goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable and have what you need. As a bonus, the food is fantastic.

The menu has changed. I really enjoyed the salmon on the old menu. I ordered the lamb balls, that changed as well. Not as fresh as in the past. The feta was not good. I ordered a glass of wine like normal with the higher prices and received a small pour.

We so enjoyed the surprisingly healthy options and nice people .. now a favorite place for us to go when we come to Houston. They have a lovely outdoor seating area in the middle of the concrete jungle at night it’s spectacular.

For locals as well as guests, Terrace 54 offers panoramic views, including memorable sunset dining, from its fifth-floor terrace in this historic architectural landmark building that is now the Westin. The setting is airy contemporary that responds to its setting and lighting, while the varied and remarkable menu has something for everyone for the one time or as many days as Houston is your home. And the service is memorable, beginning with the curatorial guidance and eye of Matt, the general manager, and completed by the attentive Hellen among the staff, and notably by Brenda who made us feel privileged each time during the week we were there. It was like having our very own concierge and chef, therefore the allusion to "the jewels in the gem."

We had a nice experience and our servant Brenda was amazing. She was very attentive and ensured we were well taken care of. She was genuinely kind and a pleasure to be served by. Thank you Brenda!

The staff is superb, 5 stars! with special thanks to Ebony! They are engaged, courteous, and professional; offer great menu suggestions or explanation of dishes when needed, and check back to see if everything ok. The menu gets 3.5-4 stars; too limited; too many non-meat dishes; the one steak offered was 12 ounces! No petite filet in Texas doesn’t seem right!

We were staying at the Westin for an extended weekend, so trying Terrace54 was a must. The restaurant is connected to the 5th floor lobby with decent seating both indoors and outside on the terrace (go figure). We made a reservation for our family, but it probably wasn't necessary given the table availability at 530pm. Dress is smart casual, but they welcomed an assortment of dress while we were there without any issues since it's in the lobby! Damian was our waiter and he did an excellent job caring for us, supporting our kid with ordering and drinks and dessert options, and ensuring our food was perfect. If we return, I hope we get him again because he made dinner a fun and smooth experience which is exactly what we needed when our with a kid. All of the food and cocktails were delicious, standouts were the buffalo cauliflower appetizer, the steak, the brussel sprouts, and the bread pudding. Ask about their monthly cocktails as well! I was disappointed that they didn't have any port available for dessert, but the Guatemalan Iced Coffee that Damian recommended was a great consolation choice that I order again.

I eat here often and the food is always wonderful. The service is also! I have been waited on by Ebony a couple of times and she is superb. She is thoughtful and caring with our special needs. My husband has a hard time eating from his cancer. Ebony is a top notch server and a beautiful human being.

We went for a celebration. Tristan and Michael were great servers. They were very attentive and were on top of everything.

We ha a bit of trouble finding the restaurant because it is inside the Westin Hotel and there are not signs for the restaurant outside of the building that we could see. However, our persistence in searching for the restaurant was well worth it and rewarded with a delicious meal on a breezy terrace overlooking the city. Our server, Brenda, was fantastic and helped us realize our off- menu meal wishes of a frozen Margherita and a milkshake!

Personality like no one else, friendly while being so busy, knowledgably on all menus items & constantly asking if need anything else or any menu item ' to go' for your later enjoyment!! Ebony is AMAZING & will not have another other Server if she's on duty :)

We had an early dinner at a high top table in the bar. The bartender, Daniel, was our server. He made a fabulous vodka martini!! We shared a delicious pizza. Daniel was very personable and we enjoyed speaking with him. It was a lovely rainy evening.

The best drinks from the bar! I wil definitely be staying here again. I’m here for business but definitely coming back for pleasure.

In town for medical staying at Westin. Dinner at the restaurant/bar always a good experience with wonderful staff. In particular last trip Daniel A from the bar took especially good care of me with special requests outside the normal menu offerings. really the highlight of my trip!

Had lunch at the Terrace. We had 3 servers due to a shift change. Both servers were good. Ebony closed us out and she was courteous, delightful, and attentive.

Ebony, in the beautiful restaurant, made our day. We are here for an appt at MD Anderson and are really stressed out. She took care of me during the day, and both of us after my husband’s procedure. She made me feel like I was at a 5 star hotel restaurant New York! The food was amazing, and her service was exceptional.

Trace54 is a standout restaurant & cocktail bar with a sleek vibe and top-tier drinks — but the real highlight is Daniel, the bartender. His welcoming energy makes every visit unforgettable. I will say this: Terrace 54 is the best restaurant in the Texas Medical Center. It is a light and modern space with a nice patio overlooking Rice University. Is it the best restaurant in Houston as claimed here? Not by light years. It is a hotel restaurant, and overpriced. The food is fine, above-average for a hotel restaurant, even, but it is basic run-of-the mill stuff.
