Little disappointed

By yorosey |

Call it bad timing or what you want but when you go to what is supposed to be one of the best local breweries taproom and the taps are all down. Let’s just say not what you expect. That being said it is a cool little hangout bar that it attached to SunTrust park.

Great ballpark restaurant

By Tonypose |

This restaurant is right in the Suntrust Ballpark for the Atlanta Braves. It is open all year even when there are no games. It is attached to a brewery so fresh good beer is always available to accompany their barbecue. I had some chili and a side salad for lunch. The chili was a side so it was small and the salad was pretty basic. The service was good.

Delicious BBQ

By Andy G |

The Fox Bros BBQ served here is absolutely delicious. In particular, the brisket is melt in your mouth. Awesome desserts as well (I really love the chocolate pecan pie with the dab of cinnamon ice cream on it).

Worth Hitting Before Braves Games

By BC |

Stopped in here a couple hours before the Braves-Brewers game on 8/11. Place is pretty cool and has ample amount of TV's, all with baseball playing. Surprisingly, we didn't have to wait for a table - huge plus. The menu offers a fair amount of entrees and appetizers. Food was delicious - ordered the brisket plate. (cooked lean & sliced - very tasty!) Thought the prices were very fair considering the quality of food and portion sizes. Only downside was service was a bit slow (to be expected on game days I guess), and the place was a bit cramped... my chair was sort of in the isle and people kept bumping into me while eating. We definitely want to come back again to see if we can hit the 5 star experience.

Good Food, Terrible Service

By Formerdog38 |

We were in the Galleria area for a Coaches clinic so we explored the Battery area on Saturday evening for a couple of beers and a snack. After a couple of fun bars we found The Terrapin Taproom and had a seat at the bar. The bartender was very short with us and we felt rushed to order. The food was delicious but as we ate we tried to make conversation but the bartenders were very rude. At one point the bartender was mixing about 4 different liquors together so one of the guys asked him what it was, the guy didn't even look up said "sugar water" and walked away. After we payed went went to use the rest room before leaving. They cleared our dishes including one of the guys souvenir cup he got from an earlier stop and they threw it away. When my buddy came back and asked for his cup the bartender told him he threw it away but he would have to wait to get it back until he could find someone who would reach into the trash. I am sure with better service this place will do great.

Great for pregame!

By James F |

Visited the Taproom prior to a Saturday afternoon game. Very family friendly (had 3 teens with us). BBQ nachos were excellent! Portions are a little small, but very tasty! Beer selection is awesome, and brewed on site. Perfect place to kill some time prior to the game - open before gates do.

Visit with relatives

By tizhmslf |

The Battery was a great place to roam around and check the store near the Brave's stadium. Lots to see and pretty expensive. too.

This is a beer place not bbq.

By Harry A |

went 12/31/22 and having eaten Fox Bros. bbq before was eagerly anticipating. This is a BEER PLACE not a bbq joint. The Frito pie was cold, and the server never offered to replace it. We had pulled pork, sliced brisket sandwich, chapped brisket, Brisket burger and the chicken sandwich. the Q was good, but it was totally the wrong type establishment. Would rather drive the 42 miles, one way, from my home to the original location. Will try the Westside location next. Sorry but beer is beer and Terrapin is beer not Q.

Check them out!

By AngieF |

Great service! Great food! This place is located right outside the Truist Park (the Braves stadium). We got there before the afternoon/evening rush as there was a game that night. We were seated immediately, and our waiter was right on spot! I had the pulled pork plate with potato salad & Brunswick stew which was outstanding. My friends had the 1/2 smoked chicken & said it was delicious.

great beer and food

By spach87 |

Stopped here numerous times during our recent stay. Great beer and the BBQ is awesome. Decent prices. I guess my only complaint is the early closure on game days. Missing out on great opportunity to make some dollars.

Great BBQ & lots of beer.

By markowens929 |

Friendly staff, a ton of beer and ever changing menu. Braves Gamedays can be a little busy, but service is always good.

Casual spot near ballpark

By DoudlasKS415 |

If you are looking for a good beer and some nice apps in a casual atmosphere, then this is the place for you. The fried pickles are some of the best that I have had - nothing super fancy, but the right amount of batter to pickle ratio and fried perfectly (not greasy). Mixing the ranch dressing with their spicy BBQ sauce created a delicious dipping sauce that they should bottle and sell by the crate. The smoked wings are awesome - I am not a fan of battered wings but smoked wings get me every time when done properly. I wish we had time for some main course smoked meats, but next time for sure. I tried their Krunkles IPA which was very drinkable - a fruit forward (but not too fruity) IPA with a good amount of bite. Overall, very good for the 30 minutes that we spent there. I would definitely go back.

It’s right at the stadium

By Terry J |

Great atmosphere with a small menu selection. Decent amount of beers to choose from. Patio seating is nice. Staff was friendly and pricing was not too high.

Overpriced on EVERYTHING

By Herewegoonvacation |

I understand that a portion of the high costs is due to the location. Don't get me wrong, it's in a super cool location, being built into Truist Field. You can't get closer to the game without being at the game. Food and Beer were good. Beer was the best IPA I've yet had in Georgia. The service was a bit exasperated and overtaxed on a game night. We were notified on three separate occasions, all before we even ordered a beverage, that we could only have the table for ninety minutes since it was a game night. I understand that you're busy, but don't bite the hand that feeds you. $8 and $9 for a beer is a bit much, even if it is "craft" beer.

Food Was Good, Service Not So Much

By LSUGoose |

Stopped in on our Peach Bowl trip. Neat area near Braves stadium and restaurant has plenty TVs for watching sports. Nice beer list but they were out of the top two that I wanted. Food was great, but our waiter would disappear for very long periods of time. To the point that we had to ask someone else for service.

Nothing like FOX BROS ATL- disappointment

By Eco-Adventure-traveler |

The abbreviated menu and the atmosphere are totally unlike the real Fox brothers barbecue. Come here for convenience but do not come here expecting what you get at the real Fox brothers barbecue. If you want to quick meal during a ball game or a beer this is your place. If you want to experience what true Southern barbecue is in a culture surrounding it go to Atlanta take the time you’ll be glad you did.

Great service

By Runnerny2244 |

Great service and they definitely have the dining room spaced out for safe dining during COVID. It has a fun atmosphere and serves BBQ foods. Food was decent, but you gotta nail BBQ in ATL to score a 5 with me.

Easy, delicious, fast. Go Braves!

By GeorgiaGirl40 |

We’ve eaten here before about a year ago, so we went back for dinner ahead of the Braves game. It was GOOD! Some in our group had full dinners of BBQ sandwiches or the smoked chicken salad sandwich, but I had a nice side salad (it was huge!) so I could indulge in a hot dog at the game. Fast, efficient, friendly service. We were in and out in less than an hour, and the place was packed. See you again soon, Terrapin!

Decent, and convenient to the ballpark.

By Diane G |

We had dinner here with a company group before the Braves game. The Fox Bros BBQ was decent and the drinks were good. Nice and convenient to get into the park after you have your dinner. Service was friendly and very good.

Great pregame meal

By Stacie N |

We had lunch here on a busy pregame Saturday. The wait was a respectable 30 minutes despite being told it could be up to an hour. The BBQ nachos are the bomb! They are great with chips or as “totchos” over tater tots. My husband had the brisket sandwich which was large and tasty. Definitely will be back again!

Great BBQ and Beer!

By Auburn T |

Fun atmosphere, the brisket is delicious, all of the sides I've had are very good as well (collards were my personal favorite!). Love trying the different beers they are brewing at the pilot brewery.

Barbecue and beer

By Carlos G |

Visited the suntrust stadium but they had no tours, so we decided to eat lunch here, staff was nice and the service was quick, they offer a good amount of different beers. The small beer plant they have is very clean. Pulled pork flavour was excellent.

Good place to have a drink

By Denille B |

You can either enter from The Battery or inside SunTrust park. They scan your tickets if you come from the park. wide variety of Terrapin beers with a lot of tvs. We watched the end of the Falcons game after the Braves game. They put the sound on too. Friendly bartenders.

Great Brisket before a Braves game, Great beer during!

By Bob67215 |

We ate here the afternoon before an evening game. The Brisket was great, but the service was subpar. The hostess and the waitstaff just seemed like they had no interest in doing anything other than just getting us in and out. The meal was good, but beyond that, nothing special here.

Good Fun, Good Food, Great Beer

By lisamax0707 |

Great place to have a beer and people-watch. We've been here several times for private events (upstairs) and the catering is always great. Today, we ate lunch, and while the BBQ was good, it wasn't as great as other places in town. Portions are plentiful -- I could only eat half of my pork sandwich -- and it was good, but not as juicy and tender as I would have liked. (But I'm not a fan of burnt ends, so that has a lot to do with my lack of zeal. The burnt bits were plentiful on the sandwich.) Hubby had the brisket sandwich and it was good, but again, not as great as some other places around town. Tots were plentiful and the cole slaw ($1 upcharge) was good. There's lots of "good" here, but the standout is the service. Everyone here seems happy to be there, happy to serve, which makes the dining experience so much more pleasant. If you're a sports fan, you'll find that the absolute best part is the ambiance. Can't go wrong with sports, sunshine and great beer. Try the Cobb County Cream Ale or Los Bravos. Our son, who's coming to visit this weekend, is a fan of the Hopsecutioner. So we'll be back soon .....

Brisket Tatchos were super tasty

By CVTravelers |

We stopped in for a quick snack and really enjoyed the tater tots topped with brisket - - unique and in a good way !! The beer was of course tasty and the service was friendly. We were there on a non-game day so it was quiet and relaxed.

Felt safe to eat outside there

By travelsquad |

Have been skeptical about eating out during covid, but while waiting or an outside table, watched how thoroughly the staff cleaned the table and chairs before seating us. Staff wore masks PROPERLY (unlike other places where they have them down around their chin) and food and service was great. Tater tot nachos are a great appetizer!

Fox Bros. BBQ and Terrapin Beer

By Michael K |

Fox Bros. is one of the best BBQ joints in the city and I love the fact that they now have a location at the Battery. Its obviously a lot easier to get a seat when the Braves are not in town, but you can't go wrong with the BBQ and beer selection.

The great beer selection deserves better food!

By Bjoern L |

Because the restaurant we wanted to have dinner at was so busy we decided to have dinner and a drink at Terrapin Taproom. First we were surprised how quiet it was as the beer we ordered was excellent(!!!). Later after ordering dinner we were not surprised anymore. 2 reasons: The service was not good - almost wanted to film the waitress. Have never seen a bartender spending so much time on a smartphone instead of taking care of customers! And then the food ... what chef is serving bbq meat on a plain slice of toast (white bread). This is not acceptable and simply a bad experience! No decent food, no customers. We will never come again!

Great food and beer 🍺

By bhlraven1916 |

Best smoked wings I ever had! No need for sauce. My kids had barbecue pork sandwiches and they loved it. The beer was great too. Prices are really cheap for the amount you food you get. They have military discount too. Service was impeccable!!! I'd recommend this place!

Great For A Beer

By LazyProjektor |

I prefer to grab a beer outside of the venue. Shorter lines. Haven't tried the food, but I'd go back and try it. Didn't get to see a menu. Bartender inside wasn't very friendly, and if you choose to go to the bar, it was standing; no chairs (that I saw).

Good Beer, Baseball

By James C |

Beer was good. Food above average. Service average. Very casual sports bar type place. We sat outside and enjoyed the activity. No game going on when we were there.

Beers are less expensive than Sun Trust Park

By David D |

The taproom can be accessed from both inside and outside the stadium, if you have a game ticket you can go back and forth from the stadium to purchase the craft beer at a much lower price. Full service bar with food. They are brewing beer on site. Don't miss this if you like craft beer for less.

Great visit

By Motorbragg |

Service was friendly and prompt. The beer was quite good and the prices reasonable. I will be back again.

Awesome BBQ, Wings and Beer

By Debi M |

This is a cool and fun atmosphere. Menu is variety of wings, BBQ plates sliders, salads there is literalyl something for everyone!

Nice meal, good service

By billiken_roy |

While visiting Atlanta for a Braves game, we decided to dine at the Terrapin Taproom. My wife and I both ordered brisket and it was a fine choice. Portions of the brisket and the sides were ample and our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Great choice if you are in the Suncoast Trust Stadium area.

Bartender was down right rude

By fast169 |

Look I'm sure this is a great place to hang out and have tasty beverages. I have had Terrapin beers and I do enjoy them. We tried this place while hanging out at the battery but the Bartender SHEYLON was rude and impatient. And I would have totally understood if the place was busy like how the bartenders act on a Friday night somewhere... you no order your drink very quickly and move on. This was not the case. There may have been 5 people that already had drinks. We walked over to the yard house and bar was 4 times larger than terrapin with way more people and the bartenders were cool calm and collected. Maybe she was having a bad day, who knows but it was definitely an unpleasant experience.

Beer, Barbecue, Baseball

By beerwriter |

A collaboration between Terrapin Brewing Co. and a local barbecue outlet. Good barbecue and excellent beers, including a number which are made on-site in a small brewery that also serves as Terrapin's "test kitchen" for new beer recipes. Notable is that on game days it is possible, with a game ticket, to go between the Taproom and the adjoining SunTrust Park baseball stadium. You can even take your (Cheaper!!!) beers from the taproom into the ballpark.

Gods spot for a deink

By swiftmi |

We stopped in for a beer and sat in the bar area. They had a few brews of their own. They also had a frozen lemonade with vodka that was pretty tasty.... or so the wife says. Good service and clean place.

Good food, cold beer!

By Stebs65 |

Been here a couple times and it is always a great choice. The staff is outstanding and the beer is cold. The Fox Bros BBQ is always outstanding.

Great Pre-game Location outside Chophouse gate

By bigdogheel |

Accessible from inside or outside SunTrust Park. Limited Fox Brothers BBQ menu along with other items. Gotta try the jalopena cornbread appetizer. Selection of craft beers. Get there early if you plan to eat before the game as wait can get lengthy.

Craving ribs. We went because

By SharWalk |

Craving ribs. We went because there’s a Fox Bros inside. We were seated immediately on a Monday night. Ordered lemonades which weren’t good. Placed food order then told there were no ribs. We left and went to another restaurant.

Quick Bite

By 123 |

It was ok . I thought it wood be better due to the partnership with Fox Brothers. Save yourself a trip and just go to Fox brothers. The place was not even packed and it took forever to get service. Staff spent more time at the bar then being attentive to us. We will not be returning to this establishment.

Beer and BBQ what is not to love?

By Vacationmom |

I love grabbing food and drinks to go here and sitting outside letting my kids run. The food is great, the fried pickles/jalapenos are amazing and I love the nachos too!!!

We are not VIPs

By LG2Pro |

Fox Bros BBQ is noted as one of the best BBQ places in the south. We ate dinner on Sunday evening as our last hoorah before we left Atlanta. Despite the great reviews and the Atlanta friends who recommended Fox Bros BBQ at the Terrapin Taproom, I was not impressed. The food was decent. The 6 of us ordered 6 different entrees. I had the half-rack of St. Louis style ribs with 2 sides. I enjoyed the baked beans but the ribs left a lot to be desired. One of the six ribs was so well done there wasn't even any edible meat on it. I would have asked our server to replace it with another, but she was pulled away from our table for 30-45 minutes. Another server eventually came over to refill our drinks (which had been empty for our entire meal). The reason our server just disappeared ?....... she was waiting on "important guests." Yes, that is what was relayed to our table as the Boss's boss was on site and their table took priority. Note to management: when your best server is pulled from an existing party then it becomes YOUR job to service that table. We tipped our server well - she was put in an awkward position by management and did not deserve to lose a tip because of your poor judgment call. We chose to eat at this location for convenience (staying at the Omni). The next trip through I will get in the car and drive elsewhere to find real BBQ, and management who actually values their paying customers. You know, the customers who keep them in business.

Yummy

By LoudOobe |

Best Baseball Dogs Ever!!! The food is so yummy !! Great atmosphere!! My boyfriend loved the beer choices & we bought a Pint glass to bring home !!

Braves and Brew

By jaxdancers |

Didnt notice this as I entered the stadium but wish I had. Went after the game and again the next day. The bartenders (Laura and Cameron) were both very friendly and offered tastes of the many beer products offered. 5 buck miller or coors cans much cheaper here than in stadium and i was told i could have bought them in here i carried them to my seat. Also i could return for more through their entrance. This would have saved me big bucks compared to field beer prices. Love the atmosphere, games are on numerous TVs, good BBQ. A must for my next Braves game.

Great food - fun atmosphere

By Kennon4 |

Terrapin Taproom was a PERFECT place to eat and drink after a Braves game -- or any time. We loved the taproom atmosphere. The BBQ was Fox Bros. and the ribs with perfectly paired beers get high marks. The mac and cheese were worth going off of my diet. The highlight of our evening was Alex, who provided above outstanding service and suggestions. He will be the reason we go back often. If you visit Terrapin Taproom be sure to ask for him.

Qucik courteous & convienant

By Scott G |

My wife and I were looking for somewhere modest to eat prior to a show at Cobb Energy Center. Both of us thought BBQ & Beer was a good bet. Beer was great and the Q very good. Sides were awesome. Service was super.

Just Sad

By Sharon S |

When we entered, the man at the door to seat us wanted to sit us outside, IT WAS HOT OUTSIDE!!! When we asked to be seated inside, he sighed and said the only place we could sit inside was under a giant fan. Did I mention, IT WAS HOT OUTSIDE? We said that would be fine. The bartender said he would serve us but it would be more "convenient" for him if we sat at the bar, (it wasn't that busy) so we moved to make it more "convenient" for him. My Cousin asked about the available beers and the bartender suggested a $10.00 sample of 5 beers because he couldn't be bothered to give descriptions. One of the managers decided we were there for him and silenced any conversation my Cousin and I would have had. Between the poor service and acting as therapists to the manager, we left. The food may have been good but who knows.

Good BBQ

By Dave M |

Ate here twice. The BBQ is great, particularly the Brisket. Also tried the Jalepeno and Ceese sausage which was pretty good. Has a good selection of beers. Fairly noisy so good for groups but not ideal for a quiet evening. Still would head back again for the Brisket.

Love Terrapin beer

By dawgfan35 |

I have come to love this brand of beer. We decided to go in here while at a recent Braves game. The servers are excellent. Wish they had more seating at the bar or near the bar. Really only thing to do there is lean on the bar or a high top table. The upstairs opens later than the downstairs. We went upstairs to eat. They had a "buffet". it is Fox Bros' BBQ. Excellent BBQ and reasonably priced when you share which I suggest you do as the portion is large. It is one trip through the line and servers control the dishing of the food so I don't call this a real buffet.I guess I expected all you could eat. Of course that would be a mistake with BBQ. Too heavy and way too expensive for the prep/ service. This place will be a regular stop fro us as we go to the games. We had a great time. The service is outstanding. Be advised that seating is limited. Prices were cheaper than I expected with this being a ball park venue.

Good food, but real pricey.

By Michael W |

Great selection of beers, which, of course, are cheaper than they are inside SunTrust Park. Overall, however, I felt the prices were quite high. The food was very good, but a little overpriced.

Great bbq and drinks

By Christian |

Our server, Stephen was very friendly, efficient and informative. The turtle juice drink is small for the price. The frito pie was good but I’d like to see the bag split open with stuff all over. The brisket was moist and delicious. Great Mac & cheese & Brunswick stew.

Good bar. Great manager.

By Trav_LN_now |

We were here two nights in a row before two Cubs games. Then came in after the seconds Cubs game got finished. Place is crazy on game day but they have been open long enough to know how to deal. First night pregaming slow getting drinks. Noticed the manager just running around. Helping cleaning, picking up, organizing. Very involved. Mentioned the slow drinks to him. He addressed with the staff and came over with a comp round of drinks. To show some loyalty we were back the next night before and after the Cubs game. He's working again. Running around. Putting out fires. Addressing customer concerns. Very engaging manager. Four of us enjoyed our time there. Great guy running the show. We will keep coming back when in town for Cubs.

Best joint in the airport.

By jennifer b |

This visit to Terrapin was amazing. Definitely best restaurant/bar vibe in the airport. Clara & Denise we’re fabulous hosts for an unimaginably long layover in ATL. 5 stars would recommend!

Best place for a beer, Terrapin is my favorite

By Matthew S |

I've loved Terrapin beers since their inception. Nice place to enjoy a good selection on your way into Suntrust Park

Visiting from out of town. Loved this place.

By aLakeEffect |

Delicious appetizers and I loved their “hamburger” which is shredded brisket with heavenly toppings. Expected mediocre beer like we get at most brewpubs but the beer here was excellent. And I appreciated that they have some dark ones on the list, again something most brewpubs don’t bother to do. Right next to the ballpark. You can sit outside and watch all the pregame excitement. Good service too. We loved this place.

Great time on outdoor terrace table

By Shiloh2026 |

Stayed after an afternoon Braves game and had a couple of beers and some awesome barbecue sandwiches .... a bit pricey on everything but huge sandwich portions and excellent service from server Logan .... walked out of there stuffed .. would do it again.

Good bbq, great service

By Andy G |

We have ate here several times and really enjoy it. The bbq from Fox bros is delicious especially the fatty sliced brisket. This was the first time we have eaten here on a non Braves game day and it was a fun experience. Eating in the off-season led to a quieter experience and much better service than normal. Axel especially did a great job serving us and even went out of his way to clean up the drink our 7 year old spilled. One thing that is cool about eating here in the off-season is that it makes for a fantastic sports bar. Tons of TVs made watching college football playoffs easy to do

Good Beer, Excellent Food!

By Carrie C |

I'm not much of a beer drinker but the one I tried was very good, I can't remember the name of it but it was a Hefe. The food was spectacular! I had the hotdog and it was probably the best I've ever had - loaded with their stew and topped with coleslaw. It's not listed on the menu but I highly recommend the Foxaroni as your side. It's mac and cheese topped with their stew. Very good!!

BBQ and especially ribs deserve more attention. PointsGuy is right that it's underrated.

By ploughman8 |

This place is coming off a rough winter with the Covid and all, but hopefully baseball season for 2021 goes as planned and it recovers the business. It's primarily a brewpub and showcase for the popular Terrapin bews (POG, Hopsecutioner, etc.) from the Bulldog country of Athens. But the Fox Bros. BBQ deserves more attention, and if you splash out for the ribs you won't regret it. Tender, pinkish, easily separated from the bone, and right up there with Jim & Nick's if not slightly better. Would be competitive even in a tough market like Kansas City. The $26.50 rib combo includes 6 or 7 bones, another meat and two sides, and even though I'm north of 200 lbs. I've never been able to eat all of it in one sitting. Would be good for 2 people sharing. The quarter chicken is a good choice for the other meat, and next time I'll try the brisket. Have also tried the smoked wings and they're good. The sauce is in squirt bottles on the side and, like many places, it looks like secret recipe that people flip for or don't. I'm not too crazy about, but it's the excellent meats that really do it for me here. All my visits have been outside baseball-game days and I wouldn't go near it on a game day unless going to the game. It's a good place to go even outside of game days because the first 3 hours of deck parking is free all over the Battery if there's no game (or at least has been every time I've gone there) and it's a pretty good pedestrian environment with lots of other places to eat and drink and some notable shops, most usefully Waterloo Sunset (one of the best independent record stores in all Atlanta). Terrapin Taproom also is not bad for hanging out when it's warm enough to open the sidewalk tables, and there are plenty of TVs if something like college football or The Masters is on. To top it off, it's very easy to access the whole area from topside I-285, especially if headed west. Just take the I-75 exit as if going south (toward Atlanta) but get in the right lane and take the Cobb Parkway (U.S. 41) exit instead. Then it's just a right turn onto Cobb Parkway (take rightmost lane as if going to Truist Park) and another right into the Battery and your choice of parking decks. Reverse the process to get back onto I-285. Also easy to get there via I-75 and the Windy Hill exit and Circle 75 parkway.

Dinner after the Braves game

By FranB |

I enjoyed my dinner. My brisket and ribs were delicious. The BBQ sauce was good. However my husband’s brisket salad wasn’t great. It had too much fat on the brisket. Our waitress didn’t come around too much so my husband didn’t ask for a new salad. My husband did tell the guy cleaning off our table before my husband was done with his meal. My kids and I loved it but my husband didn’t have the same experience.

Might be the best pro sports meal deal ever

By orange-u-tall |

I was in town attending a Braves game on a Tuesday night. I spent $71 for a good seat down the 1st base line, that included a delicious Fox Brothers BBQ meal with a trio of Terrapin beers. I absolutely loved it. The beers and food were delicious. At many a sports venue, I would have paid about $71 for just the meal and beers! And I still wouldn’t have complained, as it was just that good.

Yummy barbecue-crowded scene

By MooreVegasFood |

This place had super yummy mac & cheese as well as brisket sandwiches. The greens were also very yummy and authentic tasting. However, the inside seating made it feel kind of cramped in there… I would return for the sandwich, but maybe try to make a reservation next time. either way, the set up of the restaurant is a little crowded. If you don’t mind that it’s a great place to have a bite during the Braves game.

Pretty Good for Ballpark Fare

By KMB_GA |

For a restaurant attached to a ballpark, the food was pretty decent. Being associated with local Fox Bros doesn’t hurt as they have some of the most eaten BBQ in the Atlanta area. The pulled pork was really good; tender and smoked. Really enjoyed the mac and cheese. And while I wouldn’t order them again as an app, as it was just too much food when including the entree, the brisket chili tots were very generous and flavorful. I’m not a beer drinker but they had numerous offerings.

Great staff and great beer selection

By Ryan B |

My wife and I spent a few nights in the Battery before Christmas to have some fun and really loved this place. We stayed at the Aloft and this was a quick 2 block walk to the stadium. We love to sit at the bar and they have a nice one here with TVs and a great staff. Olivia took great care of us and we loved getting some Terrapin beers we can’t at home. The Hopsecutioner on draft was excellent and they also had some double IPAs and Imperials. We ordered wings and the Fox Bros BBQ did not disappoint. We liked it so much we came back the next night!

Beers brewed on site

By Andrew Haverkampf |

This restaurant is located in the big atrium just outside the new baseball stadium. You can get beers that they brew right there or you can get some brewed at their other location a little ways away. It's a casual sports bar with amazing beer and a sweet location if you're going to a baseball game.

Before the game food

By Donnaleegriffin |

Last game of a 3 game series and we found Terrapin I side SunTrust Park. Though very busy the service and food was great. The food arrived shortly after we ordered. Food was great and just the right amount. Reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. Ordered a salad and a pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese. Very good.

A must try

By Handsome-Young-Lad |

This place is amazing, we tried the Brisket, and pulled pork. I preferred the brisket but both were amazing. For sides you have to try the brisket chili Mac, and the jalapeño cornbread.

Very very BAD

By Mjldly |

The food was terrible (cold tasteless and stale). The service was abysmal, the floors and tables were filthy, and the place smelled like rotting things. This place is bad.

Convenient

By Bob S |

This is more than a taproom, it is also a Fox Brothers BBQ joint. The Pulled Pork Sand. and the Pimento Cheese Sand. were very large and very good. Service was fine as was the pricing.

Great Game Day Food! Glad we tried it!

By Catherine W |

We hit the Terrapin Taproom after touring the Suntrust stadium and prior to a Braves game for a bite to eat. It’s right outside the stadium in the midst of several restaurants and shops. BBQ, Beer & Baseball sounded like a good choice and we weren’t disappointed. So glad we tried it ! It was a relaxed atmosphere even with all the pregame activity. The Taproom has an interesting menu with great southern bbq flair. Appetizers, Entrées and sides all sounded awesome. I ordered the Brisket Burger, which was actually smoked chopped brisket pressed to form a burger shape served on a brioche bun with bacon and jalapeño mayo. And it was amazing. And huge. We could and should have split it. My husband had a great looking hotdog. We had good service and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I would recommend the Terrapin Taproom as a place to have a good casual BBQ meal or southern appetizers, especially if you are in the area at a game.

Taproom needs more room

The convenient location in relation to the Braves Stadium is the reason we chose this spot to eat before the Journey / Def Leppard concert. The wait was long, so the waitress told us about a buffet upstairs for $19.50 per person. We decided to try it and while the food was good, the setup was small and a bit chaotic. We were not told in advance how it worked, so we had to find out the hard way... You had to go to one line to purchase a token, then you had to take said token to another line to get food, then you had to find a table and go back up to the bar to purchase a drink. The whole process took about as long as waiting on a table downstairs would have, but otherwise it was good food in a clean atmosphere.

Friendly service with a bar type atmosphere. More than just a taproom, they serve Fox Bros BBQ which is excellent. I especially enjoyed the brisket taquitos. The mac and cheese is awesome and tastes just like homemade.

Beer, barbecue, baseball, Battery...

By Jefferson B |

We've eaten here several times and keep finding our way back. The Fox Bros BBQ is great and we always enjoy our meals here. We've tried the Totchos (nachos on tater tots...brilliant!) and love them. The pulled pork is excellent, as is their burger. I had the jalapeno cheddar sausage yesterday and it was also very good. Their beer is brewed on site and we enjoyed it. We tend to come at off times and have never been there on a game day. I'm sure it's slammed whenever there's a game so we avoid it. It's a bit on the pricey side but considering it's location at The Battery, it's about what you'd expect. If you like beer and BBQ, it's hard to go wrong at the Taproom.

Smoking and drinking

Smoking and drinking inside the airport in the AC. Enough said.. but the staff is great too. Food is good enough but smoking and drinking is better

The Chopsecutioner!!

I had heard about this beer so I had to try one. Went to the Braves game and the Terrapin Taproom, brews this beer with wood chips from baseball bats. Its an IPA and has an unique taste. A little overpriced at $10 but what isn't at any professional sporting event. Was happy to find it and try it out, seemed mandatory at a ball game. Didn't order any food so I can't comment on that, but recommend trying this beer, for fun if nothing else.

Great Fun Location

By BethChicago |

We came here to ear because we were told that we need to try Fox Brothers BBQ before leaving Atlanta. This location was the closest to our Hotel. The Battery Park area is so fun even on a day that the Braves are not playing. I ordered the brisket (fatty) and it was very flavorful (of course - it was the fatty portion). It came with corned bread on the side but it was very dry and flavorless. I also had the fruit cup as my other side (I thought I would go healthy after the fatty meat cut). The fruit was very tasty and sweet. I think I enjoyed that the most. It was fun to sit outside and people watch while we ate. Servers were nice.

big mistake

Seven in our party wanted to sit down and relax and get something to eat prior to our departing flight. Placed our orders, and waited, and waited. Finally food arrived. but never received 2 meals. Told that one menu item ordered was not available, yet very defensive waitress, "not my fault," took the order anyway. When we asked for the bill over $100, told only taking credit cards, no cash. How can this place survive at the airport is a mystery to me.

Ouch what a disappointment

By jestercrescent |

This location is next to the stadium, and the atmosphere is nice, and clean. Service was not bad, but the food, I ordered the Pulled Pork and Brisket combo, I ordered the brisket chopped (I was told that was the fattier version. It was hobbible and very dry. I could barley get enough BBQ sauce on it to swallow it down. I will say the Brisket Chili was fantastic (thats whay I gave them any stars.

Not the best place for a drink

By bcw7777 |

Tried to go here with a group for some drinks on a Saturday afternoon. Long bar inside with only four stools and the rest of bar with standing tables only. Not busy at all inside. Asked to sit outside and order some beers but were denied because patio is for dining only. That's fine but when you have 6-8 tables empty you may want to change your policy and sit some customers who want to buy your product. Needless to say we walked down the Battery and had our drinks elsewhere.

Good Bar B Que

We had the upstairs buffet as down stairs was way too busy. It was pretty good for a buffet and reasonable. Service was friendly and being a buffet it was quick. It is right at the entrance to the stadium so it was quick entry.

BBQ Plus Craft Beer = Wonderful

By williamn544 |

My wife and I were staying in a hotel not far from the new Braves Stadium and decided BBQ sounded good for dinner. A quick Google search turned up Fox Brothers BBQ not far from the hotel, so we headed there. As it turned out, it is in the development around the stadium called the Battery and is combined with Terrapin craft beer in a taproom. Perfect! Deck parking was free that weeknight and the Terrapin Taproom was a short walk away with easy access. Many other eating and drinking options are in the area as well. My wife had a pork sandwich and I tried the brisket sandwich. Both were excellent and the sides were large and tasty. Great beer selection. We tried the Big Hoppy and Hopscut drafts ($6 each) and were very happy.Beer tasting flights are also offered. The cost for two sandwiches and three beers came to $41.00, not cheap but a decent value for the high quality and the location. Outside seating overlooks the Battery plaza and inside seats offer air conditioning for hot days.

Great food, terrible service

By flyhigher1043 |

My family and I checked out the battery for the first time and was in the mood for BBQ. The waitress was extremely slow and provided terrible service. The food was excellent and the location is great, though. Overall my experience was good and I would probably go back.

Good beer, ok food, no service.

Me and my boys were in Atlanta for the weekend to watch some baseball, I was really looking forward to drinking some local beers before the game and experiencing the atmosphere of the area. We were seated promptly and our initial food and drink order was taken right away. I emptied my beer glass in short order, and there it sat empty, for the next 10 minutes. My empty beer glass was then accompanied by my empty, dirty dinner plate. The place was dead! It blows my mind that my beer glass was left to sit empty, while I sat at a table of dirty dishes. The next time we saw our waiter, it was with our bill, so we paid it and went across the street to The Yard House, where the waiter made sure our table was kept clean, and our beer glasses were kept full.

Good beer and friendly staff

My husband and I found ourselves here looking for a beer and air conditioning. The bartender was very friendly, let us try samples and recommended his favorites. Great selection to choose from.

ATL's a Big Airport

By Andrew G |

Went to the tap room in ATL airport of all places and was surprised to find a very cool bar in what usually is an uptight atmosphere. The have a smoking section that is sectioned off from the remainder of the pub. Although I don't smoke cigarettes I do smoke cigars (padron 3000) can't go wrong. Basic pub food and great conversation from folks all over the country transiting through. Two guys who were obviously drunk skipped out of there bill because the girl stopped serving them alcohol. Not cool...So go and enjoy and make sure you tip your waitress. CHEERS

Good - Not Great

By 2C2T |

Went for a quick dinner. Service was great - thank you Meg! - and the food was ok. The collards were some of the best I have ever had, but BBQ was a bit dry.

Lots of choice.

By RoyalsFans |

We visited the Terrapin Taproom just to have some drinks. My husband really enjoyed all the different beer selections. Bar tenders were very nice.

Great beer, good service, good food

By Shaun S |

This is a pretty good place to go. They serve Fox Bros. BBQ and its pretty good. The fried pickles are the best I have ever had. And the beer comes from Terrapin - some of its good, some not to my liking; but all in all, plenty on draft and ready to drink. Cheers!

Excellent BBQ

Some friends and I stopped by for dinner after the Christmas tree lighting at Suntrust Park and while the place was hopping with the crowds, the service was great, food was awesome! We were alerted via text message that our table was ready which allowed us the opportunity to wander around a little more while we waited. I had the brisket which was some of the best I've had! The sides were delicious as well (I had the beans and mac 'n cheese). Others at my table had sandwiches and the bbq nachos. We didn't wait long at all for food to come out. The vibe in the restaurant is definitely fun and relaxed, though it did get a bit loud. I definitely recommend the place!
