A Fun Place With Excellent Staff & Food

By PastorBC |

We were treated to this place by our dear friends and it was terrific. Their daughter had a birthday and they pulled out a sawhorse with a saddle for her to sit on while everyone called out "Yee-Haw!" The food was great. RIbeye top notch.

Slow and cold

By Adraina P |

The food here took forever to come out of the kitchen and when it arrived at our table it was cold. We send it back and it came back to us right out of the microwave.

Great food at bargain price

By Dennis A |

Went for the Early Dine for $8.99 promotion. Choice of eleven full entrees at reduced price. Even had happy hour drink prices.

Great place for inexpensive Steaks

By BudgetTravelerMR2 |

We stopped by this Logan's location just to try out their Tuesday night "Two meals for $14.00." It was good food at at great pricing. You get the entree with two sides. It was plenty of food and my wallet felt "fat" still when we left the restaurant. The service was great and the atmosphere was good. We will plan another "cheap" Tuesday night, there soon!

Not what I was expecting but.........

By ispeaktheblondetruth |

I guess as visiting Brits we were expecting a Saltgrass style restaurant and to be fair the food quality was just that, we (along with our American friends) all agreed that the steaks were of a great quality and could hold their heads up amongst the best of them in Texas, they were also cooked really well as per our instructions. However, when we visited on a Friday evening around 7pm it was carnage, there were screaming babies, kids running riot and it was all a bit of a shock to the senses......conversation between the four of us just wasn't possible. I felt really sorry for our young waitress, she was completely rushed off her feet but still managed to be incredibly friendly and attentive. I wouldn't rule out another visit to this chain but I might see if different days/times are a little quieter. Having said all that..................SUPERB STEAKS.

It was ok

By Thephotoguy05 |

You do get a lot of food for your money, I'll give them that, but it's not the best quality or tasting food. It was ok. We stopped because we were starving but not someplace we would go back to. It was a lively atmosphere but the service definitely left something to be desired.

Cute Decor and Fun Vibe, But Food Wasn’t to My Taste and Not Worth the Wait

By Halsey |

As the title says, it’s really personal and I didn’t really enjoy the food/taste. Chicken too salty and causes too sour for me. I usually handle these well but probably not when it comes in combo. We didn’t make a reservation and waited for 30 mins when arriving around 6pm, peak hours I guess. It wasn’t bad though - they had a room for people waiting in line. The cafe decor was cute and there was lap dance.

A good steak, but very noisy. We actually have a new one in Katy, but I haven't checked it out yet!

Great food Laid Back Atmoshere

By Dawn Rene M |

This is by far our favorite restaurant! The food is always excellent. I have probably had just about everything on the menu and have never had a bad meal! The prime rib here is the best I have ever had and being from Texas believe me I've had my share. And the grilled shrimp will make you slap somebody it's so good! It's casual, come as you are and the staff are the best!

Average food

Average food, average service, noisy,,, you can find better steakhouse,,,

I hope this is the one at I-45 and FM 1960!

We had the MOST horrible experience EVER at this restaurant the other night! It started out bad when they didn't bring our bread and only got worse from there. There were three of us; our salads were delivered to the table across from us. How do we know? Because the table-mate asked the girl if she didn't order a Caesar salad and she said, 'Yes, but this is okay.' Then someone from the kitchen started wandering around with a Caesar salad trying to figure out who it belonged to. One of us ordered chili, which came, but we had to ask for our salads a couple of times. Our server laughed. I ordered my filet 'Charred, Rare,' and the server said 'Pittsburgh Style,' but I repeated 'Charred Rare.' The steak came out not charred and overcooked. Sent back. My daughter-in-law ordered prime rib, medium rare. Came out medium. Sent back. My son ordered prime rib with jack cheese and mushrooms, no onions. Came out with onions. Sent back (that's all three steaks sent back). Manager called over. She had our ticket and acknowledged the order and that the server did not put 'Charred Rare' on our ticket but 'Pittsburgh Style.' Apologized. Second round of steaks, filet still not charred rare, overcooked. Son's prime rib still had onions, but 'not as many.' Daughter-in-law's okay. Manager came again. Said she would adjust our bill. Server apologized again (laughing). Offered to bring me a third steak. Insisted. Said he'd box it up to take home. When our bill came, there was no adjustment. Sent it back. When we got it the second time, they said they gave us a 'hometown hero' discount, whatever that is. Adjustment was welcome. Sent in the credit card to pay. When the server brought it back, he brought FOUR tickets from the neighboring table instead of our ticket to be signed. Laughed again and apologized. I filed a complaint with Texas Roadhouse Corporate. Haven't heard a word from them. This is not the first time we've complained about this location. Won't be going there again. I recommend the Humble location or the Conroe location. SAD!!!

Fun night

I went here with a friend who apparently is a regular here. Our servers were awesome. The food was great (even the next day as leftovers). Will likely bring my family here when I visit next time!

Been...but never again

By jthwrh |

First, the good...the steak tip blue cheese salad was delicious. Now for the bartender. I believe her name was Ashley. Sat at the bar before 2 other guys. She asked me what i wanted to drink then proceeded to serve them their beer orders (taken after mine) before me. I asked her for peanuts to eat while i waited on my order. None came. She brought rolls out to these 2 guys before even asking me if i would like some rolls. Still no peanuts. Asked her again. She proceeded to tap a keg before getting me peanuts. I literally ate 4 peanuts and my salad was served. Also it appeared that someone was playing with the volume of the sound system. It went intermittently blaring loud to very low over and over again for about 5 minutes! It just seemed at times chaotic and maybe thats why people flock there. Had some waitresses hanging on a guy like he was their boyfriend, just not very professional. Very sociable but not professional. My recommendations are when that busy put an additional helper behind the bar to help fix non alcoholic drinks and certainly fulfill orders in the order that they were taken. Makes you feel like your lesser of a customer. Im being fair and honest in this experience. I write a lot of reviews and would simply ask that others be as open and honest about their experiences.

Yummy!

By Keira R |

Went to Houston recently for a quick business trip. Texas Roadhouse was right next to our hotel and it was well worth it crossing a 6-lane road on foot (we walk in NY)!! The service was GREAT! They also gave us a complimentary chili bowl as it was out first time there. The cinnamon butter & the warm rolls were TO DIE FOR. The food? Also delicious. Had a sirloin steak with mushrooms, onions & cheese w/ steak fries & seasoned rice. DELICIOUS! Very reasonably priced too.

First time on Texas Roadhouse

Good theme in the restaurant you can eat peanut and throw it in the floor. I order a Sirloin with French fries and a beer all was delicious.

Overrated roadhouse restaurant

By gwendolynp2015 |

Went to the roadhouse restaurant wed. Evening for my nine year old great grandsons birthday dinner, there were eight of us. We arrived at 6:45pm. They have a policy (we were not aware of) that parties of eight or more are seated last/low priority. We were the third party waiting to be seated and the only large party. Four additional parties checked in. After the other two original parties were seated, I inquired as to where we were in the que. by now twenty minutes had past. I was told they were clearing a table now. Fifteen more minutes passed while they were clearing the table. Once we were finally seated, it took forty minutes for our food to arrive. We were the last party seated. Yes, the other parties were seater by the time we were seated. We had a waitress that can not count. everything she brought to our table was short one or two settings. Water glasses, utensils, bread plates, she would ask how many more are needed? . Just could not comprehend eight. The best thing was the warm bread. I ordered a full slab of ribs with green beans and salad. Ribs were over cook, dry and a little burnt with very little sauce. The kids had school the next day as it is now 9:15pm. When they asked if we needed anything else I simply said yes. Bring us boxes and the check immediately. Then she said did I want boxes for everyone. My reply was no, just the ones you brought food for. One of the managers returned with her to see what the problem was. After I explained we have been on the property over two hours and we are just getting our food, it is my great grandsons birthday he is now tired and I am totally frustrated. The manager had nerve to ask if my grandson wanted his birthday treat. I asked are you kidding!!! So we can sit waiting another twenty minutes!!! I said just get me my check so I can get out of this place. My daughter and granddaughter paid the bill and against my advice left a tip.

Great experience

By Keule1965 |

I came here after a service job in Houston at a customer. This Roadhouse is located not too far away from my Hampton Inn on the other side of the highway. I came here as 8 pm (closes 10) on a Monday evening. The place was loaded with people. Checked in as a single, told me to wait about 20 mins. Was called in 10 mins later got a nice two person table. Took a 16 ounce steak and Margaritha (frozen, strawberry) and had a wonderful evening. Prices are fair. Especially when you come with the family the price tag at the end will not knock you out of your shoes. The staff handled the crowd without any problem, they did great. Food came fast, but not too fast and was good. Enjoyed it. When you look for a good steak or ribs for a fair price; this is the place to go. Thank you.

Good food, not great at reasonable prices

By Mike |

The pork chops are too thin, resulting in them being a little dry. The loaded sweet potato is great. My wife had the road kill and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Yee-Haw!

By CaptainBlackie |

This place is a hoot. Corrugated aluminum ceiling, peanuts on the floor and a fun wait staff. You may ask, “How does that equal 4 stars?” … Value! Get there before 5P.M. and 2 of you can dine easily for under $20, simply go easy on the drinks and desert. The line dancing performed by the wait staff may get things stirred up in a rousing manner.

Delicious!

By Charlene C |

After a horrible dinner at a nearby steakhouse the night before, my husband and still wanted prime rib and decided to try the Texas Roadhouse. It was an excellent decision! We both ordered Prime Rib with house salads and a side. The prime rib was cooked to perfection and the taste was heavenly - just delicious! The portions were so large that we had to get a box to go. Chris, was our waiter and was exceptional. We will definitely ask to be seared in his area whenever we visit and you should also. I thank the competitor that provided such a poor quality dinner the night prior. If not for that disaster, we probably would not have gone to this Texas Roadhouse. Everything happens for a reason!

For a tasty texan meal

By M G |

Typical steakhouse with snake and moose in decoration. Waiters are hugely friendly. And food is very good and tasty... meat is wonderful, salads are pretty good... free refill for the drink, good bread offered. If you want to taste some good Texan steak you can eat there for sure!!!!

Service is lacking!

By dissappointedtexan |

Went inside to place a to go order. Was sent outside to the "shed". Nothing on the "shed" said where to order from so I knocked on the window. Someone eventually opened it and said to go to the back of the shed. It took a while for one of the 4 that were in the "shed" laughing and having a good time to come out and take our order. The young man taking our order had a hard time with the menu. I asked for a sweet potato with whatever normally comes on it, no extras, and he upcharged me for a loaded sweet potato. Same for the regular baked potato that I ordered. Took 40 minutes to get our food. They ran my credit card and told me it declined. Ran a 2nd one and they told me it declined as well. I called both CC companies while waiting for my food and both said that there was no transaction attempted from Texas Roadhouse. I noticed the car next to me also gave a credit card and ended up paying in cash as well. This tells me that they don't know how to run the credit cards. As far as the food, the steaks were cold; salads were warm; rolls were cold; meat was overcooked; fried pickles were soggy (and it was only an 11 minute ride home) There was one young lady working the "to go" orders that was really helpful. When she came out and saw us standing by the "shed" she asked if anyone had helped us, no one else that walked by us had any concern as to why we were standing there. She was helpful when she brought out our food. I wish I had gotten her name so that I could sing her praises! The hostess inside that sent us to the shed had an attitude. She said I needed to go out to the shed on the left of the building. I pointed to the left and she said "no, on the left" and pointed to the right of the building as you're looking at it. Now yes...it was her left, but it was my right, and it was on the right of the building as you're looking at it. I suggested she needed to give directions based on the way the customer is facing, and she just rolled her eyes at me which I found to be rude and unnecessary. I was told that the food and customer service at this location had declined, but I didn't believe it and apparently had to experience it for myself...and that I did!

Not smoke free

By Barry956 |

This location has an excellent staff good food and prices. However it smells like an ashtray.it is open smoking at the bar and tables around the bar. This place is always packed and I can't believe that they don't stop. I asked for the manager and he told me that I need to contact my congress man if I had a problem with it. I was told that on the weekends there is no smoking until 4 PM. I went there one weekend for lunch and at one booth there were people smoking. Bartender told me there was no restriction so I asked for the manger. Same guy comes out and tell the bartender there is no smoking before 4 PM, nobody stopped the table from smoking.

Good steak house

By clippermama |

Had lots of fun celebrating bday there. The group came out and sang. My favorite is the house salad and ribs

Crazy busy!

By wearymom3 |

Hubby and I came here for dinner on Friday night after arriving in Houston. Wow! It was 8:30 when we came and the place was packed! And the wait time was an hour or more. We couldn't believe how many people were waiting. We opted to go to the bar where no booths were available but we did find two seats at the bar. We each had a rib eye with baked potato and a salad. Delicious! And the honey-infused rolls were hot and fresh - we ate 2 baskets! Our server was Lewis, and he was both attentive and nice! We will be back - but maybe at a less busy time!

Great as Always!

I love Texas Roadhouse and attempt to visit one where ever my travels lead me to. This roadhouse was great. Most all of them are. The service and food was Awesome! I had a great waiter and my food was delicious!!!!! I will re-visit if I ever get back to the area.

We are regulars

By Glenn L |

My wife and I go here most every Sunday for lunch. We usually have some relatives join us. There is often a waiting list for a table by noon, so we try to arrive between 11 and 11:45. The food is consistently good and prices are reasonable. They have a kids menu and the kids seem to like the choices. Service is always good and if you are lucky the wait staff will do their line dance. Dress is casual and you can throw your peanut shells on the floor if you want. If you want good food with moderate prices give them a try.

Waited for 3 visits before commenting...Excellent food and service

By Randy D |

Many years ago we used to eat at this location with friends and it was always good to excellent. For some reason we stopped, but tried it again about a month ago...then a couple weeks after that and then last week. Each time we went the food was great from the Steaks, Hamburgers, sides and great salad, we are now back to being regulars. Yes it does get busy, but we found that the wait staff support each other so you drink refill or picking up dirty dishes may be by others then your main waiter or waitress. I like that when you order a steak they dont just drop it and run..they wait till you cut in to it to make sure its cooked correctly. For us that is important because we love Well Done and sometimes the cook want go that far...one time he didnt and they promplty cooked it further and all was well.. Great place.

Lovely memories

By Kelclover |

We had a birthday celebration at this nice place. The food took so long to Coke but the ambience was lovely and they had a special dance for our celebrant. We had so much fun in this place and I'll definitely visit Texas Roadhouse anytime I'm in Houston.

Not Bad for a Chain Steakhouse

By CDM49 |

Atmosphere is very casual, peanut shells on the floor. I had the small Ft Worth Ribeye and my spouse had the Filet. Both were cooked as we asked and the waitress was nice and friendly keeping our drinks full. As usual for this type of restaurant it was very noisy. Parking is plentiful.

Even at 30 minutes to closing, staff and food excellent

By P-n-DTravelinDuo |

Always a safe choice to eat, no matter where we travel if there's a Texas Roadhouse were there. Four piece fried Catfish or a great steak...doesn't matter.

Last dinner in Texas!

By Di S |

A typical type steakhouse. A good menu and our waitress, Britanny was excellent. The food was good and reasonably priced. Nice wine. Good ambiance and were entertained with some line dancing. Very busy.

Friendly service, Great Food

By J4023VHjoes |

If you are looking for a quiet, private dining experience, then do NOT go here. This place is busting at the seams with activity. It is fun, very friendly, and the food is very good. Service is fast, and they have never failed with us, to get the steak order exactly right.

Handicapped patrons are not important!

By Jerry B |

I was disappointed with the parking spots. My friend and I are both disabled, and all the disabled parking spots are a distance from the front door. All the parking at the front door is reserved for customer pickup. By the time I parked my vehicle and walked to the front door, I was tired. I find your total disregard for your handicapped customers appalling. I spoke with the manager, who finally came to our table after about 15 minutes. She promised to contact the corporate office and voice my complaint. It has been about three weeks, and we have still not heard from headquarters. I got the feeling that disabled customers are not crucial to the company. If disabled, prepare for a long walk from the handicapped parking.

Always Great !

By BrianB |

We had a 1 night stay in Houston and upon arriving at our motel, the first thing I asked was where is the closet `Texas Roadhouse' ? This location did not disappoint, the service, food and the fun atmosphere made for a great dinner.Of course the freshly made buns and bucket of peanuts serve as a great start along with a cocktail.

Great food, large portions and excellent value for money

By Laura M |

We have just visited this restaurant on recommendation from the clerk at our hotel. I assure you we are not disappointed. We had the combo starter which was very tasty and the hot sauce on the chicken was good. Not too spicy but had a bit of "zing" You get bread when you get to your seat with a kind of cinnamon butter which was also lovely. The main courses were very large but of excellent quality. It is rare that I take food home but my breaded chicken was so good I took the bit I couldn't finish home. It is noisy but then it is soo popular you would expect that. We sat right in the corner of the non smoking section so it was actually a nice level of noise, but I can imagine if you are sat in the middle it could get very loud. The only negative for us is that the food is served very quickly, we like a little break between courses, but we have noticed that quick service is popular.

Good last minute takeout.

By JohnLTX |

I’d been out running errands today 11 June and wanted a rib eye steak to go. This restaurant on the way home. I had just been totally ignored @ another steakhouse and left to come here. Pulling into the parking lot it had excellent signage for parking for eat in or to go. I ordered the 16 oz Ft. Worth Ribeye, loaded baked potato, and veggies. The service was very prompt. I got home and there were also 4 dinner rolls, a nice bonus. Everything tasted good and it was still hot when I got home. Minor gripe—a bit more fat on edge of steak than usual. Overall though good eats at a decent price.

Good Steak and Great Customer Service

By BigLoneStar |

I stopped by this restaurant for my dinner on December 11, 2014. The exciting atmosphere and the friendly customer service made me feel that I was really in Texas territory. The fried pickle was yummy. My steak was fresh, warm, and juicy. I got a great conversation with the manager who made my night very happy even I came here by myself. This place is one of the best military friendly restaurants.

Peanuts and Steak celebration!

By Mov |

Yesterday I have been back at Texas Roadhouse after several years, unaltered the pleasure of a tasty steak while 'entertaining' the waiting time with peanuts. Unique combination!

Great service

By emilio_tx |

Had dinner here the Friday after Thanksgiving. It was pretty empty had a great dinner, love the bread and of course the food was fantastic!

Great Food...A favorite!

By Monika G |

Great food and service....a brand you can always depend on makes is awesome when you travel. Very good customer service.

Great service and food

By Decemberborn |

We arrived on a Wednesday night and the parking lot was full, little did we know that they had a Wednesday night special thus the full parking lot. We were seated right away after we were asked if we wanted smoking or non smoking. Wow I thought just about everywhere was non smoking. Regardless we did not smell smoke while we were there. Our waitress came up to us a few minutes later. She was very friendly and explained all of the specials they had. When we got our food everything came just as we had requested. She kept up with our drinks and even brought us more bread when we asked. The only thing I didn't like is that the previous customers before us had dropped their peanut shells back into the same bucket as the one with the new peanuts. At least we put our shells into the empty bucket. When we were finished we told the waitress she could take the buckets but instead she just dumped the cracked ones onto the floor. I know that they do this but I didn't see that many shells on the floor. I also know that the staff dances to Honky Tonk Badonkadonk and it was a little entertainining watching them even if it was for a minute or two.

Simply excellent

By keithlajack |

Took friends out here for Texas Roadhouse is pretty consistent. And as usual, this one was again simply terrific. Restaurant was clean. Service was terrific. Management passed by to check if everything was fine. And then, the steaks were perfect. A very good dining experience.

Texas BBQ

By Hardrocker8888 |

My cousin's took me here for some Texas BBQ. They reserved on the app. So we were seated pretty quickly for a Friday night. The staff were friendly and helpful. And the BBQ was great.

Love those ribs

By DWC5 |

Their food is always good at the different locations. I love the ribs an loaded sweet potato. Sometimes a little too loud but good service and a known quality of food is nice now days.

Smokey BBQ and catfish in cornmeal, candied yams!!

By Mary V |

Starter bread served with cinnamon butter was interesting. The candied sweet potato was a great side dish, deep fried pickle appetizer was tasty and arrived fast. Catfish was good flavor but a bit dry, though the steakfries with it were great - hot and tasty. BBQ chicken breast was tender but BBQ sauce was overpowering in the smoke intensity as well as the general flavor - good but a bit too much of a good thing. Service was very personable and fast - the place was busy, busy on a Friday evening but service was fast and we were through in 90 minutes or so. Dinner for 2 with shared appetizer, 2 entrees, sweet tea, no alcohol was about $35. Was a better than average experience but not quite a 4/5 -

Best value in Houston!

By HandsomeChris |

My wife, kids, and I go to Texas Roadhouse every Sunday after mass and have been going for almost 2 years. Great management, great staff, excellent food, and good prices. We often bring friends in with us and have always had a pleasant experience. Texas Roadhouse makes all other restaurants in town look bad because they are the best value in town!

DELICIOUS FOOD

By Bunmi77073 |

YummmmmmmmmmmI Was there last week in a party of 2 and returning tonight with a party of 6. Delicious well cooked steaks and the mashed potatoes are heavenly. Will be taking my extended family to continue or holiday celebrations. They usually have specials on Mondays and Wednesdays so if you have a big party you can save a tidy bunch on those nights. The portions are big and the service is always courteous.

OK

By Eholdaway |

Went with my son for lunch on Saturday and waited almost an hour for our meal. When it finally came there was a hair on the plate. We were very hungry by then and my son was going to blow it off but the manager came to the table, took it back and we took the food to go. Gave us a card for a free appretizer on our next visit. The food has always been good and we may come back.

Great Food & Ordinary Restaurant

By theadventuresofcheyanne |

Starting with the front desk staff all the way to our waitress, I was happy with the kindness and helpfulness that they demonstrated. I ordered the steak kabob with fries, a Sangria Margarita with an extra shot of Patron, and we shared a Cactus Blossom. The steak kabob had good flavor, the drink was yummy but not as strong as I was expecting, and the cactus blossom was a little overcooked. The atmosphere was loud and definitely family friendly. While we waited outside for a Taxi, we witnessed 2 pigeons be killed by cars - the restaurant allows guests to have peanuts while they wait, and it results in the pigeons becoming over-confident with humans and unfortunately more focused on eating than moving out of the way. An unfortunate staff member came outside within 5 minutes of each incident to clean up the mess.

Good Food Speedy service

By patrick N H |

I had dinner here with a date on a Sunday evening. The food was good, and the prices seemed reasonable, especially compared to other steakhouses in the Houston area. The service is efficient and fast, in fact a little bit too fast for me. We weren't half way through our salads when our entrees arrived. I can understand a quick turn mentally at a restaurant on a Friday or Saturday night when there's a lot of people waiting to eat, but this was not the situation on Sunday evening. I probably will eat there again, but I will be sure to tell my server to ease up a little.

Disappointed with the food this time

By Russ H |

We have eaten here a couple of times and the food is usually pretty good. The last visit I ordered the chicken fried sirloin which seemed overcooked, and had quite a bit of gristle. There also seemed to be a distinct after-taste like the grease in the fryer needed to be changed. Wasn't too impressed with the food this time, although the server was attentive. Sent comments via the Texas Roadhouse website about the experience and heard nothing back. Probably will go somewhere else next time, especially for chicken fried steak..

Poor service

By Paul J |

I eat at this location 4-6 times a year when I’m here working. We were seated promptly when we walked in at 6:30. Waitress took are drink orders and asked if we wanted an appetizer. I ordered an appetizer and asked that we get the food in courses. She said she had better wait to place our food order. I ordered the smothered chicken with cheese, mushrooms and onions. My co worker ordered salmon with broccoli and green beans. When the food came to the table my plate had no melted cheese on the chicken. My coworkers salmon came out with a side of rice. When the waitress came around to check on us. I told her of the problems we had with the food. She stated that when she saw the food coming to the table she didn’t think it was correct. Why wouldn’t you stop and check the plates before they come to the table ? We had to wait on drink refills twice while eating. Very disappointing.

Excellent steaks as normal

By St_Matty |

Took some friends from the UK here and they loved it. Steaks were excellent as always and he service was very good. There is usually a wait to get a table as they do not take reservations. Because of this i have started using their app which gives you a timeframe to be there, this speeds up the time to get in. Car park can get full as this is a very popular place, but there is plenty of parking near to it.

Walking Distance

By Michael S |

Very crowded which is a good sign but food, service and cleanliness were average. I ate at bar, service was good

Good Food and Fun Atmosphere

By m1nhuh |

I really enjoyed the food and was blown away by the cinnamon butter and buns. They just keep coming out for free, no matter what you order. The steak I ordered was not bad, but I live in Alberta and it was similar, didn't get blown away. My waiter was cool and professional and kept coming by to check up on us. I really appreciated that. The atmosphere was really cool. It felt like Texas and that's the environment I wanted to experience. I came early enough when there was no line but this place gets busy. Would love to go back.

A great place to go.

By bellfranz5 |

I live near this location and have taken many friends and relatives to eat here. I make reservations and we walk in and get seated. The wait staff is friendly and if someones meal is not right, they fix it immediately. Compared to other good restaurants, its a good value for your money.

They Really Understand Prime Rib

By CajunIrish |

Went there to celebrate, starting with a margarita. Service was prompt, attentive, and not intrusive. Food was perfectly done.

Great Steaks, Noisy Atmosphere

By CajunIrish |

Every once in a while I want a steak. A big steak. A steak that I don't have to cook for myself. A steak cooked the way I like it. That's when I go to a steak house. This is the closest one to our house. My wife and I stopped by one weekday after work, and they didn't disappoint, although my "medium" rib eye barely had a hint of pink color. Service was prompt and friendly, even though the house was almost completely full. They were well-organized, and the manager came around making sure customers were happy. We ate in and ordered take-out for three teenage daughters. Our waitress gave us a nice take-out bag with sauces and fresh baked dinner rolls, butter, etc.: anything and everything somebody eating in might ask for. We were all pleased with the food. Except I would have been more pleased with a medium steak. Still and all, even considering the slightly overcooked steak and the noise level in there, when it's time for a steak again, I will go back.

Great casual dining!

The early dine special is a great deal ! Monday thru Thursday from open til 6:00. I believe it's $7.99.

Hungry for steak bites

To go order was still delicious we ordered online and waited for a minute and our food was hot and fresh

I'm Tired of being Disappointed

By @NebraskaTexan |

Long list! Handicap access, waiter inattentive, sent both steaks back, complained to two managers. Waiting and waiting on ticket.

Our first visit - hope it won't be our last

By Lstew55 |

This location was directly across the street from where we spent the night. The manager came by to welcome us (as first time visitors) and brought us samples of the home-made chili. The atmosphere was fun - the parking lot was packed and there were patrons of all ages. The food was good, as was the service. I would recommend this place!

Food was yummy & great prices for the portion served. Best rolls & butter :) Huge bonus, kids meals were $.99 on Tuesday night!!!!

Hungry

Great food and great place to go out to eat, kids love it, food has a great taste and worth your money based on other similar restaurants.

A warm Texas welcome with great food at reasonable prices!

By Back4morefun |

Texas Roadhouse is flavorful in both atmosphere and dining choices. The country setting makes you feel right at home and you just can't help singing along to the songs on the jukebox or tapping your feet when the servers get up to dance. Known for their steaks, tender and well seasoned at the best price in town. Of course, everything else on the menu is very good too, including fresh vegetables, salads and homemade rolls. If you're lucky....try for a little something sweet before you skeedadle out the door. I promise you'll have a great lunch or dinner! Call ahead seating is a plus for the weekends.

Poor service and limited staff

By Paul J |

We stopped in for dinner on a Monday night at 7:30. The restaurant didn’t seem very busy. We were told we had a 15 min wait. So I went to the bathroom while we waited. When they called us for a table they tried to seat us at one of the two tables closet to the hostess stand. I advised them I had counted 12 tables that were open in the restaurant. He informed me that they were short of staff. I advised him to find me another table. We were seated in Adams section. He seemed to be a little overwhelmed. He only had two tables the best I could tell. The food was good when it arrived. My tea glass was empty so I moved it to the edge of the table. CJ the manager came by the table and asked how things were. ? Before I could answer he had grabbed his ticket and walked away. And my tea glass was still empty. He walked to the pos station to talk. When we were leaving a waitress was clearing a table beside us. Another waitress asked what she was doing? She told her it needed to be cleaned. I told her it was nice to see someone taking the initiative and do more than what is expected.

Nice steakhouse

The food was excellent, the steaks were well seasoned and perfectly done. I could do without the peanut shells everywhere but I guess that's part of the atmosphere. Excellent service.

CHICKEN FRIED SIRLOINLICIOUS

By Ron Murry |

For our Veterans Day Lunch, my Wife and I went to Texas Roadhouse (FM 1960 / I-45). We know it would be packed and it was, but the wait time was not bad at all. The Staff here was moving people in just as fast as they could. Our Server is Brandi and she took our drink order. A Tall Blue Moon on Draft for me and Miller Lite Draft with a glass of Ice for my Wife ... who loves this combination ... for some reason. While we waited for our Beers, we enjoyed those Hot Fresh Rolls and that Soft Butter ... and these rolls are Hot ... fresh out of the oven and they are burning your fingers. Lots of Butter on them and WOW are they Delicious. Sweetly Tastylicious. No one makes better rolls than Texas Roadhouse. Loving those Peanuts ... and ate lots of them. Our Drinks arrived and that Blue Moon is really good. When Brandi brought out our Beers, we placed our order. My Wife is having the 6oz Sirloin, Med Rare, with a Salad and Sweet Potato with Butter. I am having their Chicken Fried Sirloin with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes with Creamy Gravy. While we waited for our food, we drank the Cold Beer ... and it's Good Stuff. We also ate more Peanuts and finished off the Rolls. Ya Gotta Luv Texas Roadhouse ... the one place you can get full before your main course arrives. For as busy as they are, the food came out pretty darn quick. My Wifes Salad really looks good and she said it tasted delicious. The Steak looks very good also, and my Wife said it was the Best Steak she has had at Texas Roadhouse, and that saying something because we come here a lot and it's always Tender, Juicy, Flavorful and Tastylicious ... and so was today. My Wife Loves Sweet Potatoes and she really loved this one, with lots of Butter and the American Flag displayed on top of the Sweet Potato. My Chicken Fried Sirloin covered with Creamy Gravy is the size of the plate and it also has the American Flag on it ... and it kind of looks like your on the Moon covered in Creamy Gravy ... really cool. This Chicken Fried Sirloin is Tenderliciously Delicious. Love the Seasoning. Their Green Beans with Bacon in there are some of the Best Green Beans you could have. Mashed Potatoes with that Creamy Gravy is one of my Favorite dishes. Brandi did a great job today and Texas Roadhouse is really busy. Thank You Texas Roadhouse for the Veterans Day Lunch and for all that you do for the Community. Thank You Baby for all that you do. Love You Bunches & Munches. And Thank You to all the Veterans who gave their All, have Served and are Serving. God Bless Everyone of You.

You gotta like beer and fattening food!

Peanut shells on the floor. Rolls and butter filled with sugar. Fun to have choices of steak toppings. Loud! Good service. Nothing to write home about.

Very Disappointing

By MelissafromNorthport |

The Trip Advisor reviews were good so decided to try the roadhouse. We were very disappointed. The staff seemed disorganized, our young and not quite knowledgeable waitress was assigned a large group after she greeted us and took our beverage order, and then essentially disappeared. Our beverage orders were not delivered, and we were not having any service at all. My husband ended up flagging anyone who happened to walk by to find our beverages. The food was ok but just ok. We were offered the "first timers plate" AFTER we had ordered our entree and although the mgr who finally brought it over did "change our selection" we were charged for, but did NOT receive, the initial side selection as an "extra. " The cost of the extra that we did not receive was not worth standing in the long line to speak w anyone so it was not resolved. The steak was so so. No one bothered to check on our table during the entire dinner AND we were on the early side and the restaurant was not crowded at the time we were there. We will not return here nor recommend to anyone. We will return to the Saltgrass where we have had good steaks and better service. Perhaps mgt can review their procedure of assigning large groups to a waitress who also has other tables. A very disappointing experience.

Before 6pm savings

By 1146finbarm |

I like Texas Roadhouse because its affordable and the quality of food is very good. On selected days if you're seated before 6pm and you're not looking for a massive meal you can eat for less than 15 USD. I has a 8 ounce sirloin steak with 2 sides and a iced tea.

bad customer service

By sbjay3 |

Stephen who was the server was the most rude and gave the worst service I ever received- My wife and I frequent this location frequently and this was the first time we had bad service the 160z ribeye was a little tought but cold but that was due to stephen waiting so long to bring me the steak sauce while my steak sat on the table

Very Nice Manager

By @NebraskaTexan |

Almost everything was wrong with this experience, but the Manager was great and made it right. Thank you, David.

First-time experience as a Canadian

By Vincent C |

We had a short layover in Houston on our way home so we decided to go to any texan steak house that was open. Arrived here shortly after 8pm and was still quoted a 40 minute wait. Appreciate the free peanuts for the waiting crowd. The prices were amazing for the portion sizes. Nothing like that in Canada. We had the cactus bloom (deep fried onion shaped in a flower with chipotle mayo) to start and it was underwhelming. The photo made it look much bigger. The steaks and sides were good. The ribs were ok. By the time we were seated, there was no more prime rib. The only thing was the steak fries that they messed up. Only half the orders came. The other half we had to ask and there was a surprise look from the waiter as if he didn't know. They did end up coming quickly though. The cook of the steaks though were off. Someone ordered a rare and it was more like blue. I ordered medium rare and it was more like medium-well done. I believe only one steak came as ordered. However, in the end, the taste wasn't bad.

Poor customer service

By Seaside38694586619 |

Food was good but waiter was not very receptive because we asked to be moved to his area because of the draft from the a/c. He slammed everything down on the table came every now& then to slam down something else. This is my second visit and maybe my last.

Tough

By David H |

Traveling for business, I like a $20 steak dinner often. It always used to be Texas Roadhouse. Their steaks were always tender , juicy , and tasty. Sorry to say, this was the third tough one in a row now, and I'm liking it less. I don't know what "hand cut" means in the quality of the meat, but it does seem to be consistently lower grade recently. Cooked right, and the server asked me to cut it and check, which was a nice touch. Broccoli was cooked to a turn, and tasty, also.

Yes, Texas Road Kill is Served Here

By Jeff S |

Parking lot was nearly full despite our visit being on a weekday night. We hadn’t called ahead, but after just a 5-minute wait, our seating buzzer lit up. We finally got a booth, but only after being led all around inside and having to wait for someone to bus and wipe the table. Our free appetizer of four buns was lukewarm at best, not ‘hot’. A black coffee was tepid as well. The ½-lb Angus burger I got was rare, not ‘medium rare’, as I'd ordered. The burger bun fell apart, far too thin to hold the burger together. The burger’s cheese was a bland sludge. The entrée came with salt-drenched steak fries and a tiny token pickle spear slab. I’d have welcomed a different choice of side for the burger, rather than dreadful fries. Our server, Rachel, was pleasant – but she never asked if we’d like refills for our tea and coffee, didn’t offer any iced water, didn’t ask if we’d like any desserts, and didn’t bother to clear plates when we were done with them. A service manager, Jenny, came by twice to check up on service – if she trained her servers, it hardly showed. We all most liked the Willie Nelson memorabilia at our booth. We least liked the noisiness, the slipshod service, and the mediocre entrées. And, yes, ‘Road Kill’ is a real item on the Texas Roadhouse menu!

Burgers Saltier Than the Sea

By Jeff S |

At 7PM on a weekday, parking was scarce. We should have left then and there. Our wait was 25 minutes. One server led us to a booth. The jukebox country music was so thumping loud it was hard to hear each other across our table. A second server took our order of two types of burgers and drinks. She didn’t know the prices of well drinks and couldn’t recommend any without tequila in them, as asked. Our hot roll appetizers were buttery cinnamon-sugar fat-bombs. A third server actually brought the burger plates after we began to feel we’d been forgotten. Our burgers were well done, not medium rare as we’d been led to expect after one server told us they couldn’t be served rare. The burgers were both drowned in salt, as were the steak fries that came with them. Our pickle spear garnishes were limp, not crisp. Indeed the highlight of our dinner was the water, which itself reeked of chlorine. We won’t return here ever again.

SIRLOINLICIOUS

By Ron Murry |

My Wife was out for most of the day yesterday and I received a text from her that it would be nice to go out to eat tonight at Texas Roadhouse (FM 1960 & I-45). She wants a Steak and I am always ready to eat Steak ... anywhere ... and Texas Roadhouse is one of the best places to do just that ... and they have Free Peanuts and Cold Beer ... and those Hot Fresh Rolls. Naturally I text back 'sounds good' ... as I'm drooling all over the place. When she came home I could tell that she was also 'drooling' ... so we drooled together until it was time to eat dinner. I cleaned up the Date Mobile earlier because it had some dust on her and I don't like a dusty car. We arrived right at 6pm and were seated immediately. Biggiec is our Server tonight and we placed our drink orders, Tall Blue Moon on Draft for me and a White Zinfandel for my Wife, also a 'Cactus Blossum' to start; Texas sized Onion, Golden Fried, served with Cajun Horseradish Sauce. While Biggiec went for our drinks we ate those Peanuts in the Bucket and their Fresh Hot Rolls with that Soft Delicious Butter. Love those Rolls. They are so soft they melt in your mouth. It's always fun eating those Peanuts right from the shell. In a minute, our drinks arrived and my Blue Moon has Two Thick Orange Slices on top. Blue Moon on Draft is one of my Most Favorite Beers. We toasted and enjoyed our Drinks, Peanuts and Fresh Rolls. Now it's time to look over the Menu. But first, some more Drooling over those Peanuts, Beer and Rolls ... now it's time to see what Steak we want. My Wife is going with the 'Sirloin Steak', medium rare with Two Sides; a Salad and Veggies. I am having the 'Sirloin Steak with Grilled Shrimp', Mashed Potatoes with White Gravy and Green Beans. Now that we ordered, back to those Peanuts, Rolls and Cold Beer. It's Monday Night and Texas Roadhouse is filled up ... and are food arrived pretty quick. Those Steaks look Delicious. We cut them as requested to see if the are prepared to our specs ... yes they are. Medium Rare and I could of used a fork to open it up. Mine is sooooo Tender, Tasty and Delicious. The Flavor is Awesomelylicious. Texas Roadhouse knows how to prepare a Steak ... these are what one calls 'Perfect' in every way. The Grilled Shrimp are on a stick and are Golden Brown and comes with a sauce ... Ohhhhh Emmmmm Geeeee these are Delicious. Love the Seasoning. My Wife LOVES Shrimp and I am surprised she did not order this ... or take any of mine (and I am glad she didn't, and I ate all of'em). The Green Beans are really Tastylicious and those Mashed Potatoes with the Creamy Gravy are a Delight. My Wife's Salad came earlier and she enjoyed it all. Her Sirloin Steak was like mine ... 'Perfect' in every way ... and her Veggies were really good. She must of really enjoyed her meal because she ate 'Everything' on her plate. Usually I eat the very last of what she leaves, but not this time. Since it's Baseball Season, Texas Roadhouse hit it out of the Ballpark last night ... as they always do. We did not have room for any Dessert and I was hoping for some Warm Apple Pie; with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream, Honey Cinnamon Caramel Sauce ... but maybe next time. If you want to Drool, check'em out at on Facebook; Texas Roadhouse - Spring (N. Houston) ... it is 'Cool to Drool'. Biggiec earned the Dollar-Bow-Tie award and loved it. Thank You Texas Roadhouse Staff for everything. The Food is 'Delicious', the Service 'Outstanding' and the Atmosphere is 'Texas'... and Thank You for all the Drooling we did. Most of all, Thank You Baby for all that you do. Love You Bunches & Munches.

This is the Best Texas Roadhouse in the Country

By Daniel G |

We moved away from Houston two years ago and went back to this restaurant again for the first time since then. The food and service is still excellent. While living is Houston, we started eating at this restaurant when it opened. It still has the same management. In fact one of my daughters worked there about 5+ years ago and she was with us during this visit. She knew a number of people that still work there. The staff really make you feel welcome. The ribs are "fall of the bone" tender and very flavorful and moist. The chicken dishes are very good. My favorite is chicken breast with portabella mushrooms. The steaks are great and very reasonably priced. They are hand cut daily and displayed in a refrigerated case, where you can pick out your own steak. Another recommendation is the rotisserie chicken, you get half a moist chicken. The bar has a wide selection and the margaritas are very good and very strong. In short, you can't go wrong, whatever you order.

Best in Town

By Sheilagh T |

Texas Roadhouse is always 5 * when it comes to the food, but I love going to this location because the staff is always cheerful, friendly, and on the ball. If I could, I'd give them all a 10*

Best prime rib

By Luis V |

Excellent atmosphere, customer service and food, Draft beer very cold, and the price is good

Maybe I caught them on an off night

By Rand L |

Most experiences at Texas Roadhouse, wherever, have provided lasting memories; this one, not so much. It looked right, and felt right, but the ribs were a little over cooked and a bit dry. Son's steak was great, and we had a good time, but...

Excellent Steak

By St_Matty |

Love this place, the food has always been very good and the service excellent. Gets very busy so be prepared to wait. Only complaint, the toilets could have been cleaner

Great steaks!!!

By tortoise47 |

My wife and I check for a Texas Roadhouse location whenever we travel in the UAS. We have never had a bad meal or poor service. Prices are reasonable as well.

Excellent place to eat and have a beer.

By ElginEastern |

My one enduring memory of the Texas Roadhouse is the bar manager Justin, the second night at the bar he remembered my name and my drink and shook my hand and welcomed me back, excellent service! The food was good but not exceptional and as I sat with all the other sinlge guys at the bar there was some good banter going on. This restaurant/bar is very busy so don't expect a nice quiet atmosphere, but if your needing a beer and a bar meal this is the place to go.

Great value - Huge steaks

By Stephanie S |

Texas Roadhouse is a family favorite wherever we go. This location offers you the chance to actually pick out your steak as you go in. The steaks were huge and same great value.

Delish

By kentnmary18 |

Went to the Roadhouse after flying into Houston. It did not disappoint. There were six of us. The little jalapeño appetizers were to die for. Also had the onion bloom, yum! The rolls of course so good. Ordered steak, baked sweet potato n salad. Such a good dinner and so full. We don’t usually eat that much but it was all sooo good. Highly recommend. It’s Texas food done right.

Too Grubby for Me

By KendraTravels |

So I get the peanuts. I actually love peanut. Years ago when I first experienced a Texas Roadhouse, I dug in and ate the peanuts. Now it just all seems so unsanitary. Everyone just reaches in and grabs a handful of peanuts. You have no idea where people's hands have been. And the fact that the hulls are thrown all over the floor makes it a bit more disgusting. My friend and I went on a weeknight and there was 30 minute wait. That's not too bad but I did notice you can call ahead to get on the list. That's always helpful. We were seated at a booth around the bar. The menu was gross - Like dirty. It needed to be sanitized. After ordering the fried catfish, sweet potato, green beans and hard apple cider, I made my way to the bathroom to wash my hands. The sign says "outhouse" and honestly, it smelled like an outhouse before you even got into the bathroom. When I got back to the table, my drink awaiting me. It tasted old...stale. I didn't even drink it. Now with all that said...the catfish and green beans were the bomb! The catfish was hot and fresh, breaded just right, and full of flavor. The green beans were sensational too. I really enjoyed the sweet potato and didn't get it loaded. I enjoy the natural taste of sweet potatoes. Finally, the bread with the cinnamon butter is amazing. Overall, the food was great, the service was average, and the cleanliness was terrible. Maybe next time I'll just order take out.

Great food

By Sergio C |

We ordered the pork chops, which were excellent, smokey and juicy, also had the Steak Kabob, real tasty and tender, and lastly the Sirloin which was also outstanding. Would recommend this location. The staff is always acommodating and friendly.

Great price...great food

By Gary S |

We were very impressed with the food and how much you get. The side house salad was large and delicious. The bucket of shell peanuts fun! Loved the hot rolls with cinnamon butter. The ribs and CA chicken were delicious. Our only complaint was the loud music but everyone seemed to be having fun so it was bearable. We will return.....

Haven't missed this place!

By LIETIE |

Just stopped in to get a salad. Had not been in a few months. It's like Cheers. Was greeted with hugs from the staff that has been there for a while. The food was great. I was in and out quickly. I liked it so much I returned last night for a steak. Always a great place to hang out with friends.

Everything Excellent!

By karmakid999 |

My husband and I took advantage of the 'Surf and Turf' Monday night special at the location near our home. We had never eaten there before, but were totally surprised at the level of quality at the restaurant. We ordered the most amazing margaritas with Patron Silver and Patron Citronge. They were as good as what I make at home! Everything was prepared from scratch, from the dinner rolls with cinnamon honey butter to the salad dressings. Our steaks were outstanding and cooked to our exact preference. The only thing that could have been improved upon, is the shrimp topping on the steaks. Maybe a little spice added during grilling. Unfortunately, we did not have room for dessert. Maybe next time. The service was wonderful and perfect. All of the staff made us feel welcome and the manager on duty came to our table to inquire as to our satisfaction. We like to eat early in the evening and while there, we noticed that they have specials Monday-Thursday that start earlier. We will be back and plan to purchase gift cards for friends.

Always A Good Steak!

By ShakaPaka |

This isn't my first time to Texas Roadhouse, but it is my first time at this location. As always, never a disappointment! Can't really tell you much about the menu as I get the same thing all the time. hahaha But I can tell you that the sirloin is on point and I've never had it cooked to anything other than perfection. Highly recommended and will be eating at one again soon!

Ribeye great steak

By Phil L |

Have eaten here a lot great steak & rolls always busy if I had to criticize it would be its loud all the time very busy very loud but being popular you just can't help that won't stop me from a good steak

Good food but loud...

By Dan93117 |

Great food selection, good selection of beers and great atmosphere all are nice but this restaurant was very loud. I go here mainly when I am travelling solo but when I have guest where we need to have a conversation without yelling we find a quieter place to eat.

A little better then average chain steakhouse

By dittymau |

Dislike - Smoking, Houston has still smoking in restaurants, really wish they would do away with that! I had a NY Strip, was a good steak cooked the way I wanted... Ate at the bar, was OK except for the smoke...

Just loved it

By Knight66 |

This was our first visit and I loved it. We read the other reviews about how busy it was so we download the App and put ourselves on the waiting list and we had a table ready as soon as we arrived. The staff were friendly and fun. They had complimentary peanuts in shells which I absolutely loved, I washed them down with excellent selection of beers on tap. The margaritas were fantastic too. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked to the right temperature. Large selection of side dishes, pick 2. And the best part was the great value. Too bad I don't have this brand where I live, otherwise I would have become a regular. I had a fantastic time and I highly recommend it. There is a reason why this place is always crowded. Good food and great value.

Yum

By kala2525 |

Loved the food and staff was amazing! Went twice while I was there and miss it already! The steak was the best I ever had.

Good steaks & chicken

By TJ T |

This is a good texas-atmosphere steak/chicken/ribs/bar-b-q restaurant at a fairly reasonable price -- family or date works

Peanuts everywhere!

By JackTheDog1 |

We are from out of town and were in Houston for a short overnight layover. We asked our driver to drop us off at a great place to eat and he took us here. I have a severe nut allergy and was a bit mortified when we walked in. There were peanut shells everywhere! Part of the southern ambience for sure, but a bit unnerving for me. My allergy is affected only when I eat nuts, so I have no issue being around them. We considered going somewhere else, but we were not familiar with the area and had been dropped off. I mentioned my allergy to the staff there and they said they would take all necessary precautions. Our table was wiped down and we had no issues, thankfully! They actually said they are used to serving guests with nut allergies. On to the meal! We ordered up an app of potato skins and a 10 oz rib eye and ribs to share. For sides, we had fries and a sweet potato with marshmallows. Food was very good, especially the sweet potato. The skins were covered in processed cheese; a more conservative amount of real cheese would have been better. The rib eye was cooked as ordered and was good, but not fantastic. Ribs were good but a bit dry for our liking. Grand total including a soda was $33 so can't really beat that. All in all, we had a decent meal and were pleased. Definitely not the best steak and ribs we've ever had, but no serious complaints. Top marks to the staff for taking care of my issue with allergies! We also noticed that all the staff here were pleasant and happy, so that was nice to see!

Quick bite

By Expedition159327 |

It was dinner time the restaurant relatively busy I choose to seat at the bar. The waiter was in hurry to take the order. Rush and not very friendly however with a respected tone. The steak was a bit tough and over cooked.

Worst experience

By Mark P |

Texas Roadhouse on fm 1960 and I 45. Waited over an hour to stand at the hostess booth for another 20 minutes after we were called to sit for a table of 10. Got seated at 2 tables next to the emergency exit where they were using for takeout orders. Employees exiting every 5 minutes opening the door in 35 degree cold. Had to where coats the whole time while dining. Food was terrible and the country fried steak was rubbery with all crust and rubbery meat. My advice don't visit this Texas Roadhouse.

SIRLOINLICIOUS & RIBLYLICIOUS

By Ron Murry |

Our Dishwasher leaks a little and we are waiting for a call back from our Home Owners Insurance people. So, in the meantime we are not eating large meals at the house ... we go out. We probable won't hear from them until, like, Tuesday or Wednesday, maybe Thursday, because my Wife (whom I love and adore) left a Cryptographic Message for them to decipher. This way she gets to keep her Kitchen clean for a very long time. Last night we went to Texas Roadhouse for Dinner. When we arrived there were people waiting but when you have a leaky dishwasher they seat you at a table sooner ... well, okay, that's not why. It's because we are Two People and they cannot seat Four People at a table for Two ... so it's faster when you go their with two people. Our Bread Basket accompanied us to our table. I Love this because right when you sit down, you get to eat and their is nothing better than Texas Roadhouse Fresh Hot Rolls with that Cinnamon Soft Butter ... these are Delicious and they like, melt in your mouth. Johnathan is our Server and he took our Drink Order. A Short Miller Lite Draft for my Wife and a Tall Ziegenbock Draft for me. We looked over the Menu while he went for our drinks. When he returned, we ordered an appetizer; their Boneless Buffalo Wings, Mild, served with Celery Sticks, Ranch & Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce. We toasted with our Cold Beers and then looked over the Menu. A Tall Cold Ziegenbock hits the spot Perfectly. Love This Texas Beer. When Johnathan returned with our Buffalo WIngs, we ordered. My Wife is having a Combo, '6 oz Sirloin Steak & Ribs' (med rare); with a Salad (Italian Dressing) and Sweet Potato. Im also having a Combo, their '8 oz Sirloin Steak & Grilled Shrimp' (med rare); with Loaded Baked Potato and Green Beans. After we ordered we jumped on those Wings. I tried the Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce first and I'm glad I did. Those Wings are more than just 'Mild' ... they are Hottt .. but not overly so. They are also Very Meaty, Tender & Tastyliciously Hottt. The Ranch Dipping Sauce is Cool ... Love'en the Ranch. All those Wings were Delicious ... and gone pretty quick. You can see the Heat left in the bottom of the basket. I mixed some with the Sauce and it was Very Good Heat. Soon our food arrived and they do look Tasty. They always ask you to check your steak to see if it was prepared correctly for you ... and they were ... Perfectly Medium Rare. Both are Steaks were Tender and Tasty and I ate all of mine, but my Wife is taking some of hers home. Her Ribs were really good also, very good with a lot of meat. I tried some and they do have good flavor. She loves Sweet :Potatoes and she loved this one as well. My Wife's Salad is one of the most Beautifullest Salads you will ever see ... and about twice the size on any other restaurant. Lots of Delicious Goodies on there and it was all Fresh and Tasty. My Grilled Shrimp were Fresh, Seasoned & Grilled right, and Five of them on a Long Stick. The Loaded Baked Potato is always good ... one of my Favorite side dishes ... and those Green Beans are really Tasty. I also have Two Slices of Texas Garlic Toast under the Shrimp and they both were really Garlicky Crunchylicious. Melted butter is also served with the Shrimp making those Shrimps extra Tasty. When we finished, we were both stuffed and no way was there any room for Dessert. As we were eating you look around and saw a lot of people who served in the Military. Hats off to all of you ... God Bless. While dining, you also get to see the Staff Line Dance every hour, which is always fun to watch ... and the little kids around get a kick out of it. We always enjoy going to Texas Roadhouse, not just for the good food and cold beer, but for the enjoyment of having a good time out. When we left, the waiting area was Packed with people sitting and standing outside waiting to be called. This place gets Really Busy ... The Staff here have always bee great and the Customers are wonderful to talk to also. Johnathan earned the Dollar-Bow-Tie award and loved it. With any luck, our dishwasher might be fixed in, say, about Two Weeks from now ... Maybe longer ... which would make my Wife Very Very Happy ... and you want to keep your Wife Happy. Love You Baby.

Dinner with the Family

By Jeff Theis |

Took my wife and two youngest kids here Friday night 8-14-20. You have to walk up to a trailer, ask for a table and wait to get a text that your table is ready. That's actually good, but once seated, there was no distancing, every table was packed, restaurant was packed with people and servers, kids running to the bathroom, people all over the place. Guess we thought there was a lower capacity order in place. Food was very good though, I had the 10oz prime rib, my wife and kids all had the kids meal steak bites. Our sides were baked potato, sweet baked potato, mashed potato's and green beans. All the sides were very good and the rolls to begin with were excellent. Also had plenty left over for two plates of take-out. My salad and small chili to start with was also delicious and why I was already full and basically had to take my meal home. Server was very friendly and other workers in there were vey nice and friendly. Good atmoshere, got a little crowded as we were leaving, but always a good choice to go to a Texas Roadhouse.

Atmosphere is real Texan ,free fresh nuts in the waiting area, professional team to help you selecting the right suitable meal for you, appetizers are great, buns are freshly backed and hot. Steak taste is great. I didn't give 5 in rating because price is a little better higher than similar steak houses.also because I didn't like the reaction of the waiter when he saw the tips amount

Free barrel of peanuts!

By Ronald H |

You can enjoy their peanuts as much as you can so you will see those peanuts shells all over the place. Food is normal and maybe a bit too salty for Asian like me. Environment is like a bar. Would recommend to give a try.

Good service

The service was friendly and very much on target for the restaurant chain. We were brought out rolls but also requested rolls without butter due to a lactose intolerance problem with someone in our party, the butter-free rolls were made/served promptly. The server was friendly and was well trained with answering questions about the food/alcohol drinks. The steak was cooked perfect. The onion appetizer was very large and presented well. It wasn't overly greasy like at other places. The catfish was a bit dry and very thin for the price, though. The fries were a bit old tasting also, but ketchup covered the flavor up. Overall it was a good visit because what the food lacked in some areas was made up by good customer service.

The absolute best steakhouse in Houston Texas. Wide variety of menu items, drinks and desserts. Great service, friendly wait staff and awesome cooks. Always cooked to my liking

Great and proper Texas

When you are a group of 10 Norwegian people visit Texas - this is the right place to go. Its tough and has a good atmosphere. The food is very good and you don't know what the waiter can do . But its fun. We loved the place.

Great place

I love Texas Roadhouse. It’s the only chain restaurant that’s consistent across all of them. I don’t think I’ve ever gon to one that’s bad.

Great place to eat!

2nd time in Houston, 1st time to the Texas Roadhouse! Absolutely loved it! Took my brother, sister in law and nephew here the night before we left and wished i'd gone sooner! There is a long waiting time for a table if you don't do a call ahead but my sis in law did so we only waited about 20 mins. The owner is my brothers next door neighbour! Had the biggest and strongest frozen margarita ever and I can still taste the steak it was so good! TGI Friday's eat your heart out, could never compare to this place!
