Great Churrascaria

By Michael N |

We love this place so much that for the second year in a row, we had our Christmas lunch there. The value is very good for what you get--a superb salad bar and great meats. The Picanha and Filet are my favorites. I will vote to have our lunch there again next Christmas.

Just as good

By OmanRob |

Whenever I do Brazilian BBQ in Houston it always seems to be Fogo de Chao but we tried this one too a couple of nights after the last BBBQ - I'd have to say it was equally good. The highlight for me was the lobster bisque which was superb and the flank steak, no filet which was a disappointment but excellent all round Rob

Best Brazilian Steakhouse by far

By JT1952 |

Wow!! We loved this place! The salad bar is just outstanding. On top of the typical salad items, they had delicious shrimp, smoked salmon, and to die for cooked mushrooms. The meats were wonderful. I liked the filet and they served me all I wanted. Sometimes places like this push the cheap cuts, but they gave us whatever we wanted. The service was outstanding. We ate til we were stuffed. This restaurant jumped onto my "best restaurant" list. The only negative is the noise. I suggest you eat early if you want to have a quiet conversation.

Amazing food!

By jwistin19 |

This was such a treat. I had 2 Don Julio passion fruit margaritas while waiting to be seated and everyone in our party agreed they were completely scrumptious. We didn't make a reservation so we had to wait about 45 minutes to be seated but it was worth it. Both of my friends ate meat, I only ate salad bar. I'll eat meat the next time I go, but the salad bar was AAAAH-MAZING. It's not your typical salad bar. There is smoked salmon, a variety of expensive cheeses, shrimp, sushi, lobster bisque, and even au gratin potatoes! I knew after the first salad bar plate, that I wasn't going to have room for meat this trip, so I skipped it. But, when one of my friends asked for chicken, they came by with 4 different kinds! I'm usually a cheap eats foodie, but Texas de Brazil is worth every penny! I like it so much, I'm thinking about taking Mom for Thanksgiving, if they're open!

I took my staff there for a group lunch and everyone had a great time! Good food, good service! I would recommend.

Really Bad service

By blknjm2002 |

Bad service at city enter location in Houston. My waiter and the manager tonight provided really bad service. I felt like I had to beg for service tonight. I will not recommend it. It was definitely overpriced for the service I received tonight.

Incredible

By Marcia M |

We've been to the new Texas of Brasil in Sugarland. The restaurant is extremely clean, very well decorated, service is perfect (everyone is so polite and efficient) and the meat served on the table along with the buffet makes the experience complete. Be prepared to eat a lot!!

A good Brazilian

The quality of your dinner is dependent on the day of the week. On the busy weekends, the food quality is less than during the week when the place is not so busy. Service is always good and it is always a good value meal

This Place is Great

By Jtorres1 |

I visited this place last year with a few friends and it was great the food was hot and fresh the atmosphere is awesome the wait staff was also great this is a place I will be visiting often.

Good selection of meat and salads. Tastes and flavours were lacking

By ZZHC |

The restaurant is well staffed and they provide a good service. There is an excellent well presented selection of salads for the bar and meats served at the table. The desserts are substantial in size although I did not try any. I was disappointed with the flavour and taste of the salads and I tried a good selection. They looked good but lacked flavour. Similarly the choice of meats was impressive. Their cuts weelre fairly tender however they lacked quality taste.

Good but not really the best

By Andreea S |

We’ve tried a few similar places and we thought Texas de Brazil was the best, however this location was not that good. Quality of the meat was average and the salad bar used to be more appealing. The service and the place were very good though.

Wow

By tbv710 |

My friend in Houston took me there and we were so stuffed with excellent food and drink that we went to a movie afterward just so we did not have to move--LOL.. Excellent lunch (or Sunday Brunch). If you go there make sure you are starving. There is a ton of great food and the staff are all super pro.

If you want to do couple dinning, this is a good place. Very romantic, the service is excellent!!!. I have celebrated some of my birthday here...

A birthday treat

By jen_norrell |

Our children lived in Brazil for a few years, so this restaurant needed to live up to their high standards for Brazilian food. From the moment we walked in it was wonderful. The food was even better than our favorite Rio location! The salad bar was the best in Sugar Land and probably the entire state of Texas. The waiters brought the many selections of meat around the tables frequently, and everything I tried was perfectly cooked and delicious! My husband was thrilled because they had lamb. Everything was perfect and I am so glad our children treated us to this great birthday meal. I can't wait to go back.

Amazing if you like bbq meat.

By zuik3n . |

First time visiting a restaurant like this, clean an md efficient and a bit more expensive but you get to eat a bit of everything. The tag on the table and the servers keep coming by with diffrent meats and diffrent cuts. My suggestion come hungry.

Enjoy the Brazilian style barbecue

By Rickhou2011 |

We're looking for a barbecue place and ended up in Texas de Brazil at CitiCenter. Very good service and great churrasco. The environment is a little be darker than we like but it was a very good experience.

EXCELLENT

By Megan W |

Amazing food and superb service!!! The atmosphere is wonderful! All of the meats are prepared to PERFECTION!!! The side dishes are wonderful!!! The servers will ask if there is any meat that you would prefer and like them to bring out. The desserts are scrumptous. We live 2 hours away and come here very often. It's ALWAYS a treat!!!

What an experience

By Bluefish49 |

The atmosphere was very up scale. The salad bar was amazing. and the meats were great. The service at this restaurant is by far some of the best service you will ever see. They are quick, and they remember what you like and return with it. They are very attentive to your whole table, water glasses are refilled, plates are changed out. Meat is brought to you. It was very amazing, very enjoyable eating experience.

Eat meat!!!

By Graz3228 |

I had every kind of meat I ould fit in my stomach. Didn't bother with the salad bar, which looked amazing. I really enjoyed all the different cuts and styles. Very expensive. My spouse doesn't eat as much meat and only had 2 pieces. But she loved the salad bar. It was $50 for her (fixed price). But I would go back.

If you like meat...

By Phillip S |

Went here for my son's birthday. It is what you would expect from an All you can eat....Brazilian steakhouse. All of the eat selections were very good. Attentive staff. I do not think their sides are as good as I have had at other such places. Very little other than what is on the salad-bar area. Nothing they can bring to the table. Given the price, was a little surprised.

We live in the neighborhood, and friends visit quite frequently. This was our second visit.I have to say that I think Fogo de Chao is a bit more elegant, and more expensive, but I think this place was very good. One of the things that stands out to me, is that they are most accommodating if you don't see what you want. The salad bar is excellent, and the choice of meats is extensive. I don't really eat the sides, because I want to save room for more meat, but several in our group raved about the mashed potatoes. The frozen plantains my wife buys in the store is better. We had an Argentinian Malbec off the menu. I think the wine list is in line, pricewise, with most restaurants. An extensive selection...All in all we were very pleased.

Always a hit

By Myscotty7 |

I started going to Texas De Brazil about 3 years ago and typically frequent about 4 or 5 times a year, literally every meal I have had there has been outstanding. Service, quality of food, and overall experience is outstanding. I strongly recommend for any occasion.

Amazing food, great service

By mommyofdivas |

The meats are delicious.. and their Lobster bisque is amazing. Love going here. It is intimate enough for couples and homey enough for families. The server are amazing always ready to serve and the gauchos are super nice and very observant. LOVE LOVE LOVE to go here.

Dinner for batchelor party

By jcaynon |

If you've ever been to a Brazilian steakhouse (like Fogo de Chao), then you know it's all about meat not just steak. The concept works like this: there is an exceptional salad bar (that almost no one uses), patrons are given a card with a red and green side to indicate (green) when they want to be offered various cuts of meat or not (red). Waiters circulate through the restaurant with steak, sausage, chicken and lamb. It is all you can eat for around $50. As you can imagine, it's hard to go wrong with that. I would recommend Texas de Brazil.

one of the best

By Sandy M |

I really enjoyed my visit to Texas de Brazil. The quality of the food is the best!! Kiara was so helpful and friendly. Definitely i will come back.

Come 😋 and Leave Happy 😊 you will not be disappointed.

By glenntracyl |

From the time we walked into the doors and sat down to feast we were in awe of excellent service. We could not eat fast enough before we had excellent waiters with more food on their trays. The Lamb was breathtaking and the Salad Bar will overwhelm you.

Not up to par with other locations

By Dr. A |

While visiting Houston we decided to dine at Texas De Brazil for a birthday celebration. The first thing I noticed was the much smaller selection of food items at the salad bar compared to what I've experienced at other locations. Also the service was not as good. We had to request for the meat to come around. It was later in the evening near closing so this might explain some of it. In any case it was a birthday celebration and I was a bit disappointed.

Guess we like this place as we celebrated anniversary here in April! Good selection of meats, the cheese rolls are really tasty, and I always love the salads and cold dishes on the buffet.

Beautiful dining room, good food but slow to respond to a problem

By bgbigadventure |

December 20th had a dinner for 20 in the private dining room. Location is pretty, but parking is a real problem, and it costs $9.00 plus tip to park. We had great service, but the meat selection is not a good as other similar restaurants we have tried. Salad bar selection is very good. We were overcharged for 21 dinners when we only had 20 people. The ticket listed 20 dinners but we had one that was salad bar only which was listed separately and near the bottom of the ticket, and I did not notice until we arrived home because my husband paid the bill. I called the restaurant the next day to explain what happened. I was told they would look into it. But since then I have been given several excuses as to why they have not addressed this issue - have to review security cameras to make sure how many people we had, manager gone, corporate has to approve, etc. I know we should have checked while on site, but I feel they should correct this error and stop giving me excuses. It has left me feeling that I would not recommend nor return, especially when there are so many other restaurants of this type in Houston.

Best Mother's Day Ever

By Sybil B |

We've been to Texas de Brazil several times and each time has been fantastic. This was our first visit with our daughters, and they truly enjoyed the experience, especially after they discovered the bacon on the salad bar.

Outstanding

By SteveA |

I have been to this restaurant many times over the past few months, all were excellent. It is good for business meeting as well as family dinner. We went last on Saturday night. Starting with the hostess staff; they were extremely nice and accommodating to where we want to sit. Salad bar was great, but I know what like. You must try the lobster bisque, it is great. Meats and cheese selection is good, my favorite is the goat cheese. Meats selection is great, but my favorite and best flavor is with lamb chop, flank steak and beef ribs. They stand out from the rest with great flavor and texture. If you can, try any of the desserts. Carrot cake is on the best you will have. But all are good. In my opinion what makes this place stand out is the service. They are willing to accommodate all requests and gladly cook the meats to your liking. The attitude of wait staff, meat server and managers is much more focused on service than any other restaurant in Houston. For sure will go back often.

Terrible Experience and Fraud

By Lady D |

My true rating is a 0. I highly do not recommend this restaurant. We waited for over an hour for meats that we requested on numerous occasions. To only have maybe 1-2 items out of several requests to be presented to the table. After waiting so long for meat requests, we decided to leave and requested our check. Upon check out, we informed the server that we had digital gift cards and actual gift cards. We were immediately informed that we could not combine the two. I was appalled at the response and requested that the server, (Felipe Castro) follow up with his manger to confirm. He immediately returned and apologized for the misinformation. He then indicated that all gift cards could be utilized. My husband then showed his military id to inquire about the military discount. Felipe immediately responded and stated, “You can’t get a military discount while using gift cards.” We paid the remaining balance owed with a credit card and my husband left a cash tip. We proceeded to depart the restaurant with friends and family as we were celebrating our daughter’s college graduation. Upon our departure, we were bombarded by Felipe and he repeatedly stated, You are required to leave at least a 18% gratuity since you had a party of 10. I was embarrassed, shocked, and appalled at this information as my husband had already left a cash tip and we were never informed that a 18% gratuity was required. We paid the 18% as requested as it was embarrassing to be in the midst of all family, friends, and other guests with a server Indicating that we did not pay as required. My husband didn’t feel that Felipe was being honest so he went back inside the restaurant and asked to speak with a manager. The manger on duty indicated that the tip was not required and the action of the server causes a HR issue. My husband requested that the $109.74 be returned. The manager indicated that she would contact us within 1-2 business days. We never received a call back in reference to the incidence. Therefore, I reached out to the customer relations and was offered a $20 gift card. I informed the representative that this was not acceptable and I requested monies in the amount of $109.34 to be returned. I also requested contact info for the GM but it has yet to be received. I am requesting that someone reach out to me expeditiously for a resolve!

Went here with a large group of people. Interior is nice and atmosphere good. Salat bar / buffet is comprehensive and great, liked it a lot. The meat were ok, however it's better Brazilian restaurant concepts like this in Houston.

Going downhill

By Peter S |

Compared with quality of the meats at Fogo de Chao and Chama Gaucha this churrasqueria has a long way to go. Surroundings and service are excellent but if you give FdC and CG 100% then I’d give Texas de Brazil 50%. The Costello de boeuf (beef ribs) was overdone, lamb chops so chewy I couldn’t eat them and the house speciality Picanha was nothing to write home about. Variety of beef cuts was very limited and I won’t be back. Maybe I got a bad night but at the price they are charging I’m not prepared to risk another $60.

Very attentive service, good food

By andrewpderry |

We came as a group of three on a business trip. The buffet was very extensive - almost a complete meal on its own! The meat was very varied and always very good. Its a little pricey, but we ate a lot...far too much probably,

Texas de Brazil Houston

This is honestly the best location for Texas de Brazil I have been to. Service is great :) my family and I are very please. We’ve been to other locations and it was nothing like this one. Deff, come back here again.

Nice opportunity; poor execution

By FilsProdigue |

Beautiful venue, untrained service, second tier churasqueria menu. There are clearly better Brazilian dining experiences that offer a better overall value. This reminded me of Epcot foreign dining experiences. Close, but not a winner.

GREAT food

By Gordon M |

Great food served by very attentive servers and staff at a good price. I love the variety of foods. Salads, vegetables and of course the meats.

Anniversary night out

By James B |

I had never been to this type of restaurant before. It was restaurant weeks in Houston and Texas De Brazil was participating with a special of $35. regular price 49. Our experience could of not been any better. The décor was very new and trendy. We were seated quickly with a staff that took care of our every need. Although I did not go to eat salad the salad bar was one of the best I have eaten at with many usual things but many items that you would not expect. Once we ate our salads the Gauchos took over as soon as we turned over our cards to say we were ready to begin the feast. As long as you kept your card turned to the green side they kept bringing some of the best cooked meats to you, steak, chicken, lamb, sausage, pork. They kept your drinks full. After we could not eat anymore meat they brought dessert. I you can make it to the Texas De Brazil, Go!

Special Occasions Melt in the Mouth

By Hannah R |

Our favorite place for birthdays and anniversaries - you get free dessert if your there on a special occasion. Brazilian steakhouse style - meat brought around on skewers. The meat is delicious and they have one of the best salad/side buffets of the Brazilian steakhouses I've been too. Goat Cheese.

Valentines Day with my wife

By Richard D |

Yes , i made Reservations online via "Open Table ". we arrived 10 min. earlier than our reservations . there were 10 people waiting, but we were seated 5 min. after we arrived. We have tried several Rodizio type restaurants , but Texas de Brazil is New here in Sugar Land , Tx. Seating tables were a bit cramped, or should i say Friendly . Don't know if this was just for holiday , or if thats the way it is always? Greeted by friendly staff and waiters. Salad Bar is plentiful , and sides like Sauteed Mushrooms were Excellent, the Lobster Bisque had a little Spicy Kick to it, for me . as they were making the rounds with all the meats…. I cant say enough about the Parmesan Chicken! FANTASTIC , it was so tender & tasty, definitely 10/10 ! The Lamb Chops were great, as long as you get them Med rare :-) Top Sirloin (Med Rare) was outstanding! The Picanhya (Med Rare ) was excellent as well. The Flank steak was Not Tender. The Beef Rib Bone was ultra tender . Lots of other to choose to your liking. After telling the Gaucho waiters how we liked our meats, they came back with what we had asked for. Our main waiter was Fernando. He did a great job making sure we had fresh clean plates , as well as filling up our drinks where we didn't have to ask ! and Yes lots of choices on Deserts , IF you have the room in your belly…. Yes we had Desert and coffee . Overall, they are very comparable to the upscale Rodizio Brazillian Restaurants. This restaurant is right in our neighborhood in Sugar Land, Tx.

The food and Service were perfect. We had a Brazilian on our team visiting Houston and he gave this resturant a 10. I've been twice and I'd go again close to food in Brazil. The meat was superb.

Excellent place for dining!

By Adrian F |

I was treated here for my birthday. What an amazing place, the food was amazing! You have a variety of delicious meats to try as you set your card they give you on the green side. Boy does the meat just keep coming, lol! When you want them to stop bringing the meat just flip the card over to the red side. The bar there was amazing and they have a variety of different wines to choose from. There is no dress code, so I didn’t feel to under dressed or over dressed. If your going to park your better off using the Valet parking in the front for 8$ instead of paying for the garage parking. Overall I had a awesome experience. I will definitely be going back, next time I think I’ll start off with the meats instead of filling up on the fantastic salad bar they had!

Awesome food ! Awesome hoochie mamas

By quickread |

Excellent special occasion, yet relaxed, dining experience...

By jamm333 |

We went to celebrate a birthday (free dessert for birthday person) and had a lovely, relaxed evening meal. The decor is sleek but warm and appealing...lots of red. Young lady hostess was friendly and polite. Our waiter, Jonathan, was helpful and attentive, bringing a basket of delicious bread/cheese balls, plus we tried and enjoyed the national Brazilian cocktail, rum and lime combination called a caipirinha. There was an extensive cocktail and wine menu - we had a house chardonnay, apparently specially bottled Texas de Brazil label. Jonathan handled our questions and order efficiently, kept drinks filled and quickly attended to any of our needs or requests, yet was not in the way of our celebration and visiting. One of us had the 'salad bar' only - about $25 in the evening - which included a fish dish, smoked salmon, shrimp salad, and some high quality fresh salads, cheeses, pickles, and fruits, plus lobster bisque and a few other vegetable casserole dishes. Really was plenty of food but most people come for the meat! Others had the full meal - about $45 - and were very pleased with delicious offerings of lamb, filet of beef, flank steak, prime rib, chicken wrapped with bacon, sausage, pork loin...and found all very flavorful, moist and delicious. We had a quick visit from the restaurant manager, who dropped by our table, checking on our satisfaction. All in all, a very enjoyable evening of good food in a lovely setting, with great service. Would recommend and plan to come back again.

An Awesome Backup Plan

By Robert B |

My family and I were meeting a friend and his wife for dinner and found there was over 2 hour wait at our first restaurant choice. We found this location close by and could be seated in less than an hour, which in this area on a Saturday evening was exceptional. This was my families first visit to a Brazilian Steakhouse, so they were unsure of what to expect. All were pleasantly surprised. After our initial visit to the salad bar, which was very impressive, the parade of different meats began. I was able to find many Gluten Free options on the salad bar, and all of the meats that were brought to the table were Gluten Free as well. In fact I was extremely pleased the cheese rolls were also Gluten Free. After enjoying a wonderful dinner, I was also pleased to find their Papaya Cream dessert was also Gluten Free... and had to try that as well. We had an enjoyable evening and will be back.

Brilliant!

By Vincent S |

All I can say is WOW!! This is Brazilian cuisine in a Texan style. I have never been to a Brazilian place before and it was just brilliant. Our server Juan was genius, the atmosphere was great and the food was just so good. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good food!!

AWESOME Salad bar

By DanielMN01 |

We went there to try, and decided to have "just" the salad bar. We tried a little bit of everything, and the variety and freshness of all the dishes was excellent. I regret I couldn't eat more... but I was really full. The salad bar choice is a little bit pricy, but definitely worth it.

Takes the stress out of group dining.

By Julia_Houston |

This is a mainstay for me for local group dining. The private room can be a little noisy and the drinks can be slow to arrive at times, but the quantity, variety, and speed of the food ensure glowing feedback from my customers. When you do the math on comparable dining at a la carte prices, this is an excellent value and it's guaranteed that there is plenty for every diner's tastes.

Bad service and not much meats served

By Dreamer40823807435 |

No water given at our table and only sides served to anyone was mash potatoes. The entire night I had only seen 4 different type of meats and for about 30 mins near the beginning of the dinner service there was no food to be found. Then after one round of the same meats they stop serving anymore meat until we constantly have to ask for them to bring meat over. Then waiter showed me the bill, asked if I can tip in cash. I told him I had no cash then to charge my card the 20% . Then he brings me an electronic pad to sign the bill which seemed high, he then proceeds to tell me the credit card machine automatically charges me 25% gratuity. Then he said he will “try” to fix it.

You get what you pay for

By KWatson81 |

Ok, I've been to this restaurant probably a total of....6 or 7 times. I have yet to have a bad experience. Here's what you need to know. Yes, it's on the expensive side ($50pp for the all you can eat meat). But I am here to say you get what you pay for. The service has never been anything bit excellent. I've been here in a variety of settings (business with a very large group, as a couple. and with family) on all different nights. I now usually get just the salad bar (half the price) and I am still more than stuffed when I leave. From memory, what you can get from the skewer guys: parmasean chicken garlic sirloin bites filet mignon sausage lamb chops leg of lamb stuffed jalapenos the house special (my absolute favorite) chicken bites wrapped in bacon There might be 2 or 3 I'm missing, but you get the point. You can get the meats cooked anyway you like. If the guy doesn't have the doneness you want, they'll go get it. The salad bar...goodness I can't even begin to explain what's in the salad bar. There's gotta be 50-60 items. I'll try normal salad bar stuff heart of palm varsity of olives a couple of different hard cheeses salami prosciutto grilled mozzarella smoked salmon one type of sushi pickled garlic tabeulah (I'm butchering that spelling) roasted peppers capers/onions lobster bisque rice some Mexican cooked cod sauteed mushrooms black beans... There's so much The last time I went (6/18/17) the meat was earlier than normal. I happen to not mind that, but I know there are people who will think it's way too much. They will also bring cheese stuffed bread, warm whole banana and garlic mashed potatoes to the table (all included in the salad bar only menu). It is all so yummy! Great for date night, anniversary, or any special occasion. Also good for just going out for dinner. Just come hungry! Most women will not eat anywhere near $50 worth of food, but everyone should try the all meat course at least once. Lastly, their private label wines are very good, especially the Red Blend 😉

Won't Return! Denied Service!

By Donna B |

I have twice previously eaten at Texas de Brazil with my adult son, 15 year old child and 8 year old child. My adult son, 15 year old, and I decided to go again over the weekend. The manager was at the hostess table with two women when we entered. One of the woman approached me and asked if we had reservations. I said we did not. She said that there was an hour to hour and a half wait time. I politely told her I could see several empty tables. She stated that they were short on servers. We left the restaurant. On our way to Chauma Gaucha, my adult son called Texas de Brazil and asked if there was a wait time for the evening or if reservations were required for three people. The woman who answered the phone at Texas de Brazil stated there was currently no wait time. My family will not return to Texas de Brazil. Chauma Gaucha has always had great food, great service, and we have never been refused service.

Texas de Brazil Houston

By leo c |

Went to Texas de Brazil when it opened last Saturday. It was a disappointment. I know that there will be changes because of the Covid problem. There was very little to eat. No access to the salad bar. They have to serve you what you want. Some of my favorites were not available. The meat has to be ordered and they bring it to you precut. No carving at the table. The portions are small and not cooked the way I normally want. Meat quality is poor. The filet mignon was so tough. I cannot even chew it. They charged dinner price for What is less than what you get for lunch. In other words, you are overpaying.

Terrible service

By Betty H |

Terrible, terrible, terrible place. Manager and employees very rude. Meat hard as a rock. They bring you first chicken and sausage and when you ask for meat they said it will take 15 minutes. Do not waste your money and time in this place. I have no words to say how bad this Texas de Brazil is. BAD BAD BAD

mmmmmmm, meat and more

By Niki C |

This is the third Brazilian Meat-fest type restaurant we have gone to over the years. It was very good. The salad bar is flawlessly done - all very fresh, nice variety. they had lobster bisque the day we went and it was very nice. The mushrooms were butter-y and wine-y and amazing. The only complaint about the food bar is that the potato gratin had about 5 slices left when we got there and still had the same 5 slices at the end when I went back to get some to sample - that's over an hour later. Seems like they would have refreshed by then. The main attraction: the meat we had ranged from good to great. Sadly, the lamb cop and the port were both overdone and dry - really a cardinal sin at rotisseria. The sausage and ribs were both good, the filet minion was good, but the sirloin was fantastic! Medium Rare - perfect pinky-red all the way through, smokey and tender and to die for! The service was good, a few little issues, I would like to have had a fresh plate, and had to go get it myself from the salad bar because no one came by to check - and the used plates sat way too long on the table. This is an upscale establishment, that sort of thing shouldn't be happening - especially when the servers seemed to always be congregated around the bar rather than tending the food service. The one other little issue was the acoustics were horrible. We had the hardest time hearing everyone - and the ladies at the table next to us were practically shouting to compensate, so we got to hear all about one poor ladiys cheating ex-husband. Not so fabulous for our romantic date night... All in all, very good, nice place for a special occasion if you only want to talk tot he person directly next to you.

Dissapointing

By WrldTrvlr37 |

Let me be clear, the place is not awful, but with so many steak house choices in Houston, why spend $100.00 per person on mediocre food?? The ambience is nice and modern, the service was actually good, but the problem is the food. All 7 of us agreed that EVERYTHING was overly seasoned (This is coming from a group of guys that would eat anything and rarely complain about anything). Sweet things like the fried bananas were overly sweet (unnecessarily covered in extra sugar) and salty things were so salty that they were almost un-edible. Everything from the either overcooked or undercooked meat to the side dishes to the little cheese breads that they give you was EXTREMELY salty. I understand that these guys are relatively new in town and they are trying to differentiate themselves, but adding more condiment is not the way to go. How about just focusing on selling the same things, but just well executed? My recommendation to you is that until the quality of the food improves, try one of the other two top Brazilian Steak Houses in town or any of the fantastic regular steak houses that Houston has to offer instead. Hope this review helps.

Excellent Brazilian steakhouse

By TheDude1974 |

Located in the city Center area of Houston, (not downtown), this is one of the premier Brazilian restaurants in Houston. The restaurant is huge, open and high, lots of decorations and colours. Very well set up for large groups and for entertaining. Service is excellent, as expected, helpful, outgoing and friendly. As with other Brazilian restaurants, it’s all about the meat, although the vegetable and starter buffet has enough choice to fill you up just on that. The meats are outstanding, and they keep coming, Parmesan chicken, flank steak, filet mignon, Brazilian steak, lamb, sausage, bacon wrapped... excellent food. Lots of drink choices as well, cocktails, wine, beer, whatever you want. Certainly not cheap, but great food never is. There is a big debate over which is better, this one or Fogo, in my opinion, they are both excellent and you should try both.

Great service

By Tyffani G |

Our server was wonderful. We did not get some of the meat we usually do, the server made sure we got everything. Meat was inconsistent. Some of the same cuts were delicious and next time no flavor. Everything was request was great.

Fantastic

By eduardops60 |

I love Texas de Brazil. I try to look for these restaurants in every city I go to. The quality of the food is fantastic and you can eat as much as you want. Don’t miss it.

Poor meat quality, high price

By Compass19835 |

Poor quality of meat, seasoning and cooking. Meat served were limited. They don’t come often to the table to offer the meat. If they do, they offer the cheaper cuts like chicken and pork. They did not offer all the meat cut, no filet mignon. Salad bar is limited for a dinner price. Not enough servers going around offering the meat. They ignore the cards on the table. Service is ok. Staff polite. Food lousy. Price high not worth it for the food quality. I think this will be my last trip here. Ill go back toFogo de chao.

Great dinner

By SteveA |

I have been to few Brazilian Steak houses in Houston, but this is so far my favorite one. To start the salad bar is great; goat cheese and fresh mozzarella. The meet selection was great and you can't go wrong with any. The seasoning was done just right for everything and you can taste the meet. The full bar was great for our group to accommodate everyone. The service was by far awesome, the entire team seems to work together to make sure we have everything we need. The full experience was great, this definitely the place I will go to again for Brazilian Steak House in Houston

Worth Trying

By Haley H |

1. The service was wonderful. Our server was there the second we needed anything but did not overcrowd us. 2. Because it is $100+ for two people, I felt like the experience should have lasted at least an hour. Because of how fast the ones serving the meat were, we were done in 30 minutes. We continued to have a drink and took our time because I expected it to take at least an hour to an hour and a half. We went on a Saturday with 2 people at 6:00pm so I would say next time we will go around 8:00pm and more people to hopefully slow the experience down. 3. The filet mignon was the only meat I loved, everything else was pretty salty but it could've just been the day. The lobster bisque is amazing so you don't want to miss that!

Awesome!

By Adam C |

We took the twins here for their birthday and had a great experience. The food is great! The service was great! It rivals Fogo de Chao in every way.

Delicious

By Anthony S |

It is 100% meat. It's is all spit cooked meat and it all delicious. We had a great dinner and a wonderful spread of differed meats fresh carved, plate side. Salad bar is on point and and it is not somewhere to take a person who doesn't eat!

Too much good food

By Psalanon |

We enjoyed our evening with another couple on a Saturday. 5:45 and the place was very busy. With that being said we had a wonderful service and quality food. Recommended if you are a big meat eater. If not the salad bar is excellent. Quite a selection of things to try. Enjoy

Excellent Service but not a lot of variety

By TravelerinTX |

We had dinner there and the service was incredible. There was not a lot of variety of mean or sides. There was an extensive salad bar but at almost $50 per person I don't want to load up on salad. The guys that came around with the meat and were a bit slow. I had to ask two times for them to come by my table as they kept skipping our table even though my green chip was very visible. At the end of the night it was $130 and I think it was okay to do once in my lifetime but next time I will just go to a regular steakhouse for a full meal for a lot less.

Possibly the best meat I ever had

By A C |

The various sorts of meat offered were all excellent, well prepared and without extra sauces, bacon, cheese,... (the way I like it !). Only difficult thing is to say 'Stop' once in a while. The wine list is of good quality as well.

Meat factory : not lovable - good steak.

By Ms Goofy. |

Fast moving eventually- neat took ages to come - steak cones in skewers to the table) I Liked the diversity of the meat offering , chicken pork and loads of steak cuts. Picanja was particularly good. Salad bar was well stocked. sauces were particularly limited /disappointing - schimmychury ( ?! ) Being the only one. Service was perfunctory but definitely not warm.

Fun place to go with a group.

By MaryE995 |

This was my first time to a Brazilian bbq and loved it. The food was excellent. The salad bar extensive with lots of fresh, delicious choices. The meat was also very good. The service was excellent and friendly.

Carnivore Heaven!

By HPhipps896 |

I was really wanting to try TdP for a while and finally did. Now that I have, I probably wouldn't go back. Service and food quality is outstanding. The salad bar was also very well done with plenty of choices. However, you have to like meat and a lot of it. My biggest issue is the fact that you do not have a choice of side items to go along with all that meat. They simply bring out a small platter of mashed potatoes, bread, and some bananas. Drinks are another issue: They serve soft drinks by the can, so if you want the customary refill, you get charged for another can. I thought that to be ridiculous given the fact that prices are @ $50 per person. Add in drinks and the possible dessert, your bill escalates into the crazy range really quickly. I would not bring a kid to this place because that would be a total waste imho!

A CARNAVOURS Dream

Better cuts of meat than the best in Brazil. Surprisingly good wine Expensive but you can at least try to eat your way even.

Great service, food, and location

By Kay Mac |

I came here twice during a 2 week business trip. Service was excellent and, lake any Brazilian restaurant should be, the meat kept coming. The location was great too because we were able to go for a walk and do some shopping in the Citycentre area afterward.

Great service. Delicious food.

By jana p |

One of the very nicest Texas de Brazils that I've ever visited. Bryan was an incredible server. He went above and beyond to make sure our visit was perfect. The manager even visited our table to make sure we were happy. The food was fabulous like all Texas de Brazils. The only down side to this location is parking is difficult. It is located in a busy shopping center. I found out later there is a parking garage but I never saw it. We just valet parked at the shopping center's valet service.

Good food and service

By Nick L |

Quick and efficient seating. Nice restaurant deco inside. Salad bar was good whilst not totally expansive choice wise. Meats were good and tasty. Service by everyone who attended to us was excellent.

Meat, Meat, Meat, and more Meat

By Darren P |

Vegetarians and vegans beware. Texas De Brazil will not be your cup of tea. But if you like meat... a lot of meat.... more meat than a human should be allowed to consume, then you'll love Texas De Brazil. Let first start with the salad bar. Lobster bisque, rice, salads, breads, cheeses, shrimp, smoked salmon. This is not your typical salad bar. In fact, I suspect most people could enjoy a nice meal from it alone. The meat was outstanding. The garlic sirloin, bacon wrapped filet, and the short rib were my favorites. Your meal also includes Brazilian cheese bread and garlic mashed potatoes. I'm not a big mashed potato guy but I love it here. Wait. What exactly is a Churascarria exactly you ask? You pay one price (currently $45) for all the meat you can eat. You're given a card with a green side and a red side. When your card is flipped to green the meat men (gauchos) will begin to offer you cuts of meat from their skewers. What is brought seems to be random. It can range from steaks, to lamb, to chicken. No apparent order. All of the meat is fairly salty, which I love, but important to note for those watching sodium. Anyway, back to my experience. The service was excellent, especially our server who suggested different cuts to try. The gaucho's take pride in their job. Not only do they deliver the meat, but they also cook it as well. There were a few times I felt as though I was letting down a gaucho by saying "no thank you" when offered more meat. The whole experience is fun, interactive, and very filling. This is nice place. I personally wouldn't dine here without wearing at least a collared shirt but some saw some wearing hats and t-shirts. The price includes the "salad bar", bread, and mashed potatoes. Drinks and dessert (HA!, really?) are separate. Note that you can go with just the salad bar for a reduced price if you're prefer not to engorge yourself. In summary, if you love meat, and lots of it, you'll love Texas De Brazil. But a word of caution. Do not plan on eating much the day you plan on visiting. And don't plan on feeling 100% well the day afterwards. To engorge yourself like this has consequences. Enough said.

Very good!

By Katrina S |

The food was great! A great surprise to find out that we get served all types of meat that are on skewers! It's a set price and you can have as much food as you want! Polite staff, clean restaurant, good experience

Tasty salads

Steaks were ok, salads were delicious. Great design and a very good quality of service. I recommend this place.

Best steak ever

By Edwin R |

I took my wife and mother in law for a special night, and had a great time , food was excellent , salad bar very fresh, all the cuts were absolutely outstanding, the lamb chops and the leg were like butter super delicious, the picaña was also great Overall very worthy specially Bc the coupons for discounts on email. Recommended 100%

Awesome steak

By Evan H |

One of the few places you can go and enjoy a little bit of everything and it's totally gourmet and cooked to your preference.

Typical, but No Disappointment

By Ray S |

If you're going in hungry, then you will not be disappointed. You will get fed to the extreme. The meat quality is excellent, and they don't over season here. The servers are all over you like fly's, and you will fill up fast. Definitely try the house special; it is off the chain. The salad bar is amazing, although I was a bit disappointed in the mushroom quality. Unlike Fogo, Texas offers button mushrooms on the salad bar, and they are a bit funky. Fogo offers Shitake's. Big difference. However, there is so much more to this place than the mushrooms. Nice atmosphere, and very extensive wine list. Just make sure that you go there HUNGRY !!

A Carnivore's Dream

By Brad B |

My wife and I have dined here numerous times and we are never disappointed! Everytime we go, we are greeted by a team of smiling, highly efficient hosts/hostesses. Their servers are hospitality driven, as are the gauchos that bring the varieties of meats to your table. My wife doesn't eat a lot of red meat, but definitely gets her money's worth! The huge salad buffet has sushi, tons of salads, cheeses, well over 50 items from which to choose. There is a constant parade of carved meats, at every temperature, and if they don't have your preferred temp, they will go get it for you. The meats are expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection! Excellent wine list, so many choices. TIP!!! Go to their website and join the free birthday club. On the month of your birthday they will email you a certificate for one free dinner, valid Sunday through Thursday. The decor at this location is one of their nicest...deep reds, lit marble columns and lots of oversized mirrors surround diners. My only very small complaint is the noise level, voices echo through here making it difficult to have a conversation. One of the best restaurants in Houston!

Good service not great food

By HHS |

The restaurant is pretty and clean. The buffet has plenty of choices and is kept stocked. Thee are hot and cold options, meat and cheese options, soup and bread options and hot and cold vegetables. The meat handlers are very attentive and helpful. If you want a particular meat, they'll find it or bring it. However, the meat has very little flavor and there are very few choices. It is by far the lesser of the Brazilian steakhouse type restaurants in its price range. Even the dessert was bland. We all believe the price is way too high for the quality as there are too many other outstanding options in town.

Excellent!!!

By Sergey K |

I visited this restaurant several times. You pay some fixed price and take whatever you want. Salad bar offers good variety of salads, salamis, sausages, vegetables, cheeses, pickles etc. Servants offer you about 15-20 different types of meet, chicken, shrimps. All was delicious and fresh!

Meatfocus

By Per S |

Great restaurant, perfect salad mix and very good and assorted meat. Service friendly and skilled. Will revisit next time in Houston.

Delicious

By Jennifer G |

We came for my birthday. The server was great and very knowledgeable. He even made sure to track down the different meats that we had not had a chance to try. Salad bar was fresh and delicious. Definitely needed to break up all the meat. Had the chocolate cake for dessert and it was really nice and light. I also had the drink of Brazil but with vodka instead of rum. That was really good too. Overall great night and great food.

Needs some work to be great

By BHATDL L |

The salad bar is nice and better than most, The meat is on par with the salad bar. Not a bad choice I just believe there are better choices for this area. The Texas de Brazil in San Antonio is of a much better quality and product.

Meat Extravaganza

By Rbingrbong |

Come Hungry! Started with a great lobster bisque, followed by a very diverse salad bar...then came the meats! I'll need to check my cholesterol level soon Prime rib and the strip were my favorites. Our server was awesome ... Very attentive till the very end.

Disappointed

By Nan N |

The service was exactly what u expect. The food was not as good. The meats were all over cooked. The lobster bisque was good.

Fun, but..............

By Scott L |

Second time over the years that I have eaten at this chain. The 1st one in Sugar Land, closed and Houston has the same food. It is a fun experience, but no one in my party (Adults and kids) liked the food. The presentation is classy and the staff is friendly, but the meats were either too tough to chew or to salty.

Fill your meat cravings here

By BWB77024 |

we have been to Texas de Brazil numerous times and we have never had a bad experience. The manager makes it a point to visit your table to discuss the food and service. The process starts as any other restaurant with you getting your salad. But this is where it also changes. Because the salad bar is not just that, its another meal. The bar includes, meats, cheeses, soups, grilled vegetables, garlic, olives, prosciutto, ham and about 30 other items. Once you go back to your table you start the process of attracting the meat servers by flipping your table coaster from Red to Green. From there on hold on as you will be surrounded by gouchos serving all types of meat, pork and chicken. You can get a breather by turning over your table token to red. The food is unlimited so go hungry! They are now also open fro lunch but from what I hear the menu is slightly different and cheaper.. I have yet to try it out but I will soon. This is a great place to eat and you will not be disappointed.

Wow what a Buffet

By Marlaina C |

Wow, oh my goodness, I have never experienced anything like this in my life. This is 5STAR buffet with a silver service to boot, but wait there is more. Not only do you choose from an amazing hot and cold buffet the meat is carved for you at your table. The meats are so tender they actually melt in your mouth. Delicious is only the half of it, deserts hmmm, so many choices so little time, you will see I chose death by chocolate. This is a must my number one restaurant that has all the bells and whistles as well as great coffee, I'm so coming back here again.

Great but go really hungry to have room to enjoy it all

By U2746ONmarkb |

So - I never seem to go hungry enough to the City Centre TdeB. I also tend to enjoy the amazing salad bar so much that I am half full by the time the meats come by. Don't be shy to turn down or ask for a different cut or grill, they are very helpful. Next time I go I will make more room for the food. The wine list was good as expected and the price was a little above what I would like to pay, but I think it is worth it.

Great food

By vel |

Nice atmosphere with friendly personnel, huge salat buffet and a great choice of meat. Higly recommended.

Incredible meat.

By WesleyMCPA |

Meat lovers go here. This was incredible. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection. Every meat they brought by we tried and you can't go wrong. Service was excellent and no chance that you would run out of food. Constant flow and if they didn't have it, they would get it. One of my newest favorite restaurants. Loved it.

First time at this location, AWESOME!!

By vom098 |

I have eaten at one of these before in Orlando, so I had very high expectations going into this one and they were all exceeded! The service was top notch, the food was amazing. Everything was just perfect. The manager was walking the floor making sure that everything was to our liking. Just a wonderful experience. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Well done...

By E T |

On our 2nd visit for drinks (great Caipirinhas), we decide to try the salad bar and the wide variety of all-you-can-eat meats... Wonderful salad bar with large selection of greens and a great tasting feijoada - black bean stew! Can't say anything good about the meats, most was overcooked and very dry, especially the pork ribs (tried to hide the dryness with an abundance of BBQ sauce...Yuk! I visited the pit area and observed that the meat cooking over the pit was being done by Latinos not from Brazil...hummmmm! I think is safe to postulate that a Brazilian Restaurant staffed with Latino cooks is not conducive to a true churrascaria meat eating experience!

A place to go!

By Екатерина К |

Book marked the place for my next visit! Great selection of meat...struggling to remember a better place of this type!

Hot and humid- don’t do it.

By MrCool777 |

The salad bar is excellent and the meats are fresh but nothing to write home about. the staff was courteous and very helpful and very attentive. But I have to give this review two stars because the place is hot and humid. Even though the restaurant is new I sat there and sweated the whole time. Either the AC doesn’t work or they are unwilling or unable to adjust the thermostat. When you are paying this kind of money for a nice dinner you expect the AC to be working right. The manager told me she turned it up a tiny bit but there was no difference whatsoever.

Good first trip

By scottel |

Located in the T/C shopping area so after you carnivore 3000 calories of meat you can walk off 5% of it....:). First time for me to visit this place, have gone to Fogo previously. Wife just got the salad bar. Had salmon, shrimp, lots of veggies, rice, Lobster Bisque.....I could probably just do that. Of course I went for the meat as well. They give you a little coin with green and red on each side. Green up = the meat guys come after you. Red up = the meat guys don't bother. Meat was good. There was a lime flavored steak that was good and some parmesean chicken stuff that was good as well. I ate too much and was aching. Service in general was pretty good. This is about $50 per person so bring your wallet. Only gripes: they don't have fountain coke I guess, my wife ordered diet coke and the waiter brought out an 8 or 10 oz aluminum can....twice....for $3 each. Hmmm. Dessert was pretty good but also a bit pricey for what you get. I go to these types of places about once a year and probably will try Fogo again.

Top notch food - join eClub to save

By decadork |

Food is top notch and there is no need for me to say more than what other reviewers describe. However, I will recommend that you do not be shy to ask for more of anything you really like. My husband and I count beef rib as a favorite. When the meat carvers come around with it, they will slice off the top. My husband asked what do they do with the rib itself once the meat on top is gone. Carver asked, "why do you want the whole rib?" and proceeded to cut a rib off. My husband was so happy to gnaw on the huge bone with plenty of meat around and below the bone. My next advice is to join the eClub where you occasionally receive special offers so that you never pay full price. For my birthday, I was given $25 off wuth purchase of two dinners. Or buy two $50 gift cards for $79.99 at Costco. Only thing is sometimes the offers don't allow you to combine with the white gift cards from Costco, but you can still u see the gift cards at the bar. Mention any special occasions and they might give you a complementary dessert or champaign!

A great restaurant for meat lovers

By allonster |

A very good dinner for meat lovers. Very nice environment, great food and good value. A huge variety of meats to choose from and an exceptional good salad bar. You will never leave this place hungry.....

Interesting Yet Way Overpriced Restaurant

By D Z |

Very unorganized and rather questionable first encounter with hostess and management. It seems as their policies change with whom ever you speak to. The waiters were exceptional which made up for the aforementioned. The food was fresh, diverse, tasty, yet the price tag is not worth the visit. It's very loud and crowded so pleasant quiet conversation is kept to a minimum. Glad we went as it is quite different from many other restaurants, yet overall we felt it wasn't worth a return visit.

Texas be Brazil

By leo c |

Excellent grilled meats. Well seasoned and cooked to your specifications. The filet mignon is very tender. The lamb chops are very tasty. The sides are very good. The lobster bisque is one of the best.

Come hungry!

By Miki B |

We had a wonderful and entertaining family dinner! The food and service were fantastic. My only complaint was that we were too full for dessert. We skipped lunch knowing this would be a large meal but next time I would skip breakfast too!

One of the better ones in Houston

Have been going to Cyclone Anaua's for many years. Best Margarita in town food some of the best mexican in Houston. Would highly recommend.

Excellent choice for meat lovers

By Per Martin W |

Fancy atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, great meats, good choice. Conveniently located close to the beltway. Nice venue suitable for all kinds of parties, be it with business clients or family.

Poor management.

By Ramil |

Managers - hire more gauchos and train them properly. When I pay $300 bill - I expect GOOD (at least) service, not gauchos dripping meat juice and dropping pieces of meat on table, my clothes and my shoes.

Good for large groups

By Live2traveldaworld |

We had a very large group of 20+ individuals and they accommodated us nicely in the back room. They allowed us to have a beer or wine upon entry. We ate from the extensive salad/seafood bar offering and they began bringing the meat to our table nearly immediately. The meal was fantastic and very well prepared. It is a little bit Bizarre to have meat on a stick paraded through a restaurant and carved onto your plate but I got over it quickly because it was very tasty. They had several offerings from various beefs to lamb to chicken and pork and continued to bring them to our group. We ate far too much and then they offered dessert. All in all a very good experience for a very large group. The food was good, no one really ate the side dishes as it was about meat. Not really a place for vegetarians or vegans.

Meat Lovers Dining

By BMeltz |

I was really looking forward to going to Texas de Brazil in Houston as I had been to the one in Albany New York for a fantastic dinner a couple of weeks prior to my Houston trip. The meal was with my son, daughter-in-law, and a family friend. There is no convenient parking. We parked blocks away. The noise of the place prohibits any type of conversation. None of us could hear the waiter or any of the staff or each other. The buffet was nothing like the one in New York except in appearance. The food was bland and awful as though it had frozen and thawed too long at room temperature. The Prosciutto was good. We ordered our food medium-well. It arrived nearly raw. It was so tough the servers had a hard time cutting it and it had no flavor. The chicken was so overcooked its flavor was completely overshadowed by the bacon around it. The sausage was flavorful but incredibly dry, as though it had either been left warming too long or had been reheated. Just as we began to lose all hope of a decent meal, we got prime rib that was perfect! Unfortunately, no other servers came to our table after that as a large group had arrived and was taking all the attention. We quit. Still hungry. Dessert was good but took forever to arrive. When it did arrive, it came out one at a time with 10 minutes or more in between deliveries. Everything was obviously frozen and quickly thawed. I hope this place gets better!

A Carnivor's Haven

By alvinec3 |

There are several Brazillan Churrascaria style restaurants, but this restaurant; however, this particular restaurant did not disappoint. We were a group of six there for a birthday celebration. The salad display was impressive and the endless circulation of servers with exceptional cuts of meat: lamb chops, parmesan pork & chicken, garlic beef, beef filet, pork sausages and more! A formal environment not requiring formal dress, we enjoyed superior cuts of meat, expertly prepared, creating a great meal. An accompaniment of tasty side dishes and refreshing Caipirinhas and iced teas made our dinner all the more relaxing. Closing the meal with a huge slice of Chocolate Mousse (birthday) cake was the perfect ending to a memorable meal. Complimentary self parking, valet parking is available at a cost. Unsure how much a young child would be willing to sit through a long meal, the gauchos moving around can be entertaining. Advice: bring a big appetite with you, the food is plentiful and delicious! Try it all! Don't be shy! Indulge and enjoy!

Simply amazing!

By 4house |

I took my family here and we had the most amazing dining experience. I've been to a few Brazilian restaurants and I must say that this is by far the best in the Houston area. The manager would make his rounds and made sure that we were taken care of. Not many restaurants that I've dine at would have the manager check on customers. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We won't mind coming back again. Word of caution, you have to be really hungry to dine here to make it worth your while and have a true dining experience. I wish that I could've eaten more than I did. Overall, we had a blast!

Tastey!

By Catriona S |

My daughter and I had a lovely evening at this restaurant close to our hotel. Service and atmosphere were great. Will certainly look for this chain on my other trips .

PERFECT Birthday Dinner!!

By Sheena H |

I can not rave enough about this place. We had the best time here. We made reservations earlier that day because we didn't want to have to wait a long time, but there were people able to walk in and get a table no problem it seemed. The staff was over the top in making sure we were taken care. You flip your card to green and the guys come running with anything cut of meat you can imagine. I love the fact that if you card was red they didn't bother you at all. The only thing I hate more than being ignored in a restaurant, is the staff not leaving you alone for 5 seconds to enjoy your company. The restaurant is in a perfect area. After dinner we walked around the plaza before we went back to our hotel to change for our movie. Everything is in walking distance so it makes it really nice.

If you've dreamt of the ultimate meat dinner, your dreams will come true here, salad bar and service are tremendous also

Excellent service!

By afprincess0406 |

My first time ever going and on my birthday, the food was amazing. Meats were tasty, salad bar was great. Nice and clean presentation. Our server Antonio was very attentive, informative and friendly. I ate way too much, I tried to fit more and more because it was soooooo good. Then to top off my birthday dinner, they gave me a complimentary dessert, I love flan so I tried theirs. It was super rich and creamy. Thank you texas de Brazil!

Excellent Food

By Liz T |

We really enjoy this restaurant. We always go with another couple that visit from out of the country. The salad bar is really good - much better than other Churascarias.

Great service, friendly staff, salty meats

By Mark H |

We were there 06/07/2017 with a celebration dinner work event. service was great but I found all of the meats except lamb chop and sausage way to salty.

WOW! What a Lunch!

By Jimmy |

Father's Day Luncheon at Texas de Brazil was a genuine treat. The salad bar selection is amazing. The selection and variety of meats that were offered was outstanding. Meat can be cooked to your personal order if desired. A great selection. Our service was first class as well, very attentive. Our table never ran out of food. The real surprise was that they offered desert after a great meal. Huge cakes and pie. Wow.

Great meal experience.

By AliciaMW |

We celebrated our friend birthday in one of their private rooms for 10. Bright red walls give this elegant and lively restaurant a great ambience. They have an impressive salad/ sides bar. The meets keep coming as long as you have your green sign on display. Great service and a great variety of drinks too including 4 different Caipirinha. You will defenatly enjoy it. Valet parking is 8 dollars and highly recommended.

Just AWESOME

By LT. Cliff |

Ate here about a year ago and it was Awesome. I asked myself is it as good and can it be better. Oh yes indeed and the waitress Janis was absolutely amazing.the meats were cooked to perfection and allowing you to choose to what degree of wellness. If you don't want to eat all that meat you are allowed to just eat from the amazing salad bar, at a reduced price. To many items to mention here. Cheeses cold cuts as well. I'll be back.

Fantastic eats and drinks

By BWB77024 |

The food is just plain awesome. The "salad bar" alone is a fantastic meal. They are open for lunch on a limited basis and its well worth it. The bartenders are great, friendly and helpful.

The right place to go!

By EnjoyLife_NickP |

I had visitors from out of town and I had to entertain a group of 6. The service level was great and the food was very good. This Brazilian steakhouse is one of my favorite places to go in Houston. Highly recommended to anyone with a special event. Make sure you are hungry because servings are huge!

Worth the Money

By Jeannine L |

A friend and I went to Texas de Brazil during Houston Restaurant Weeks since the value is even better than normal. It was only $35 (vs. $50 normally) and included dessert. But whenever you happen to go, go hungry and you won't be disappointed. Their salad bar is phenomenal (even includes sushi). And the service and meats are top rate. Both managers visited our table, and the waiter checked in often. This restaurant is so much better than Fogo de Chaou! Better service, better salad bar, better meats. Go hungry!!!

Average steak at premium price

By Carlos A |

If you factor the all you can eat effect and you have a big stomach maybe the value is right but for an average eater the average steak / meat quality is clearly overpriced. You are paying for the trendy setting and good service but to me the key in a restaurant rating is taste.

Anniversary Experience

By kellarmichael |

Decided to try after seeing an advertised special. We're not big eaters so this type restaurant is not usually a good choice. With the special was worth a try. Arrived early for drinks at the bar. Staff were very friendly and informative. Bartender made two great rum drinks. Were seated later and enjoyed a great dinner. Salad "bar" has unbelievable number of options, all good. Weren't able to sample all of the various meat entrees before being satiated. All in all, pleasant experience.

Excellent dinner!

By 171eva |

We had a nice dinner with our friends and loved this place. Inside was very spacious. Liked the clean, modern ambience. The salad bar had a lot of selection of food and was excellent. The lobster bisque was so delicious. But don't over eat before the main course. Meat was great and liked the spicy sausage very much. The staff were very attentive and we got served the meat as soon as we flip the card to green. It was a busy Saturday night but the service was excellent and we were very happy with our food as well. I will recommend to make reservation though. We will go back to this restaurant soon!

Holiday dinner

We went as a family to TDB and enjoyed a great evening. Excellent service by all the food was outstanding. Huge quantities of meat which just kept coming. All tastes catered for from well done to rare. So tasty it was hard to refuse.

Fabulous restaurant!!! Salad bar is amazing. Food is so fresh and selection is huge. Meats are very good there is no way you leave here hungry! Highly recommended

We have the meats!

I suggest not eating the whole day before arrival. Crul was an amazing waiter with a Polish accent. He made sure our evening was amazing. The garlic sirloin was the special cut of the night and was incredible. We will be back..... With a bigger appetite.

Excellent Food and Service

This is a very nice restaurant in an upscale location. The food is excellent, the service is wonderful. Go early in the evening as it fills up quickly.

Not as good as Brazilian Churrascuria

By Jakeyjak3 |

Good atmosphere and staff really good but I was maybe hoping an American steak was going to be even better when served like this. I found the meat to be very salty and not to my liking at all.

Father’s Day

By Douglas D |

My family took me here for Father’s Day dinner. It was good, but not great. It seemed like it took longer than usual for meat servers to come to the table. Wait staff was slow clearing plates after visits to salad bar. My wife was disappointed that red wine was served at room temperature. I have always enjoyed this restaurant on previous visits. Service was just not as good as usual this time

Average

By Toro9 |

Very average version of Brazilian bbq. Cuts not tender nor flavorful. No ribeye. No NY strip. Filet just ok. Sausage was the best meat and that’s not right. Salad bar was also very average. Service was excellent and nice wine list selection. But the meats were a big letdown. Also valet park or walk a long way. And it’s $25 to valet your fancy car and keep it up front. Not happening again. Chama is a much better experience. Pro tip: $35 during HRW and kids under 10 eat for half price. Still not worth it.

37th Anniversary

Great lobster bisque! Lots of meat. Very Good salad bar. Wonderful desserts. Love the Key Lime pie. Good for Gluten Free. A bit noisy. Service was excellent. Come with appetite as lots of food. Red is a dominant color.

Great Thanksgiving Dinner

By Victoria A |

I went to Texas de Brazil for Thanksgiving dinner and I was pleased with the experience. The salad bar was fresh (smoked salmon and sushi were favorites) and the meat selections were very flavorful. We finished the meal with chocolate cake and espresso. Would definitely go back!

Tasty, efficiently run!

We walked in on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. All of the staff were attentive, particularly our server, Jonathan R. We would happily go to this restaurant again.

They don’t stack up to their competition

By Just My Honest Opinion |

I have visited several other Brazilian Steakhouses in Houston. Texas de Brazil just doesn’t stack up. The variety of meats is limited. The servers don’t come around often. They ignored the red/green cards. They told me a meat was cooked a certain way (well done) and then it wouldn’t be (red in the middle). The Parmesan pork and chicken were way too salty. The service was lacking as well. Don’t order “still” water unless you want to pay $16 for a bottle. The other option given was sparkling water. The bright spot was the shrimp dish on the salad bar.

Amazing anniversary

By Edwin R |

I was told about this restaurant and I decided to give it a try on my wedding anniversary , my wife loved it, the cuts they serve are just delicious, specially the lamb, it was just melting on out mouths , service is top of the top , very friendly people , good price and also they gave us a complementary dessert for the special occasion. Perfect for a romantic night with the wife

Meat Paradise

By The_Weary_Traveler87 |

Texas de Brazil is my favorite Brazilian Steak House. I came here with my family and we had a party of 16. We bought ordered some delicious cocktails before dinner and when we were ready to sit they had our table waiting for us. We enjoyed their buffet style starters (the lobster bisque was a family favorite) and then the meats started coming. My favorite was the lamb but I tried everything and enjoyed it all.

Mention the Special

By MRD2005 |

Food is on par with Fogo and Chama Gaucha...wine menu not as extensive...and wine glasses are not fitting for red wine at a nice steak house...wait staff is nice but a little slow...mention the special (see pic below)...$35 for Buffett and dessert not a bad deal

Come hungry and leave stuffed!

By Jacob H |

This place is amazing. The cheeses and meat are some of the best I have ever had. The price tag is a little up their, but it is in line with the other Brazilian steakhouses. I mean when you are getting unlimited filet mignon, it is not going to be a cheap dinner. You must come very hungry and you will leave stuffed!

WOW

By Anthony St Rose |

Fantastic cuts of meats, and they keep coming just turn yor card green. Love this concept. Brasilian caipirinhas de BEST

Good But Not Fogo Good

By Global Fox |

Nice for lunch however disappointing choice of non alcoholic sodas they need to learn DUI is a reality. Same went for really poor coffee. Salad bar good but not as extensive as their competitors. Sides came half way through meal Meats good and plentiful .Parking is a real problem. All in all OK but cannot compete with Fogo De Chao.

Overdose on good food

By keynotes |

My friends and I wanted a fun night out at a fancy restaurant and we did not leave disappointed. We left Texas de Brazil absolutely stuffed and satisfied. The service was top notch, very attentive and friendly staff from the front door hostesses, to our server, to the men coming around with the meat. Yes, the lobster bisque is to die for. That paired with the little cheese pastry balls were heavenly! The salad bar had a lot of variety. And the meat was delicious and abundant. I couldn't try it all. And we ordered desserts to share - so rich and tasty. We totally splurged on everything. It's not a place you frequent and gorge on regularly and it's also pricey, but it's nice for a special occasion. The only complaint I have was the noise. The restaurant was full (it was a Tuesday night at 8:15pm) and the sound seems to echo. It was so distracting we could barely hear ourselves. But as the restaurant cleared out it improved. Just be wary of this, if you want a quiet dining experience then go elsewhere.

A Carnivore's Delight

By dnasaur |

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our dinner at Texas de Brazil. All of the meats were delicious, especially the lamb chops, Brazilian steak, flank steak, bacon wrapped filet, and Parmesan chicken. We went on a busy Saturday night so the meat was non-stop and hot. When the lamb chop man came around a second time he only had 2 medium ones left and no medium rares so he said that he would bring me one from the next batch. I thought he had forgotten, but he came back apologizing that it took so long and gave our whole family what looked like the first lamb chops on the skewers he was carrying. For such a big, busy restaurant, I was impressed that he remembered. I don’t know how it compares to Fogo de Chao (I saw lots of debates online about which was better), but our family will happily come back to this Texas de Brazil.

Food quality

By Alejandro_B |

I visited this fine restaurant by myself (which is too bad, since it merits a special occasion). The food, as well as the attentiveness of the staff members were top notch. The only reason it does not get the excellent mark is because something in the central buffet might have not been fresh (I suspect the smoked salmon, although it tasted great). I was in the bathroom for hours. This has never happened to me (and I am trying real hard so this does not affect the overall grade) , so not sure if it was a one day deal or it might have happened to others, just a reminder to the restaurant staff to pay more attention to how fresh the vegetables and other buffet items are.

Just a fun and delicious evening!

The first thing you need to remember about Brazilian steakhouses are that they are meant to be fun. Texas de Brazil pulls that off perfectly. It's a big place with chatter from every table and attentive service. Let's cover the food. The salad bar is great. In fact, were it not for the promise of grilled meats of every sort and variety to follow, the salad bar by itself would be worth the trip. I found everything so well prepared that it took some restraint to keep from going back for more. The vegetables, salads. meats, cheeses, bisque; they were all well prepared and beautifully presented. Then came the grilled meats. You turn your little card over to the green side and suddenly people begin appearing table-side with a whole host of different grilled meats for every taste. And all of them were beautifully cooked and well seasoned. This is what makes the experience so fun. Everyone is getting exactly what they want, they are able to taste those things that everyone else is complementing and try things they would normally never order. Let's cover a few things about the restaurant. The full meal experience (salad bar and meat service) is $50 per person. A really great value for the dollar given the location, the decor, the food and the service. Drinks and dessert are not included in that price. I stopped after dinner ready to pop but the friends I was eating with each had dessert and had nothing but complements. It's worth noting that they have a great selection of wine available by the glass or bottle. Prices range with selection but are competitive with the other restaurants in the area. While this is a large chain, you certainly do not get that feel while dining. Servers are very attentive and management makes it a point to check with you once or twice during the meal and diners are never rushed. From the massive doors to the expansive space, Texas de Brazil is well appointed with a high-end atmosphere that doesn't cross over into snooty. We had a fun time, a great meal and really enjoyed everything about eating here. It is absolutely an experience I would recommend.

Slow service

By pnkgirl27 |

We were disappointed with our waiter. He was a nice guy, just never around to serve us even from the start of the meal. We ordered drinks and I had gone to the salad bar, he still hadn't brought us water or drinks by the time I came back. It took 20 minutes for him to bring the side dishes to the table. He failed to take away the dirty dishes until he brought the bill, he didn't give drink refills, or even check on our table for 15 minutes at a time. Better service is kind of expected when spending $100 for two people to dine especially when the place wasn't overly busy.

Awesome Food

By txheartland54 |

We went here for dinner on Mother's Day and all of the food was fantastic. The bacon wrapped filet was to die for! The salad bar has 50-60 items. So much to choose from. My 10 year old Grandson absolutely loved it as well.

slightly above average

By Villalva |

this restaurant is beautifully decorated staff is very nice but I feel they need to be a little more attentive. when they came to our table they skipped some people that wanted to try some of the meats and we had to wait for them to come around again (keep in mind they where not busy at that time). The food is slightly above average, the cuts of meat they serve are good but I feel like it needs a touch of something extra to bring that flavor you expect to stand out. the salad bar and side dishes are good. the 2 side dishes that stood out to me where the potatoes and the lobster soup they have on the hot section of the salad bar. They still need some work to reach the level of their competitors (i.e. FDC)

Better alternative

By bituin |

Came here with my BFF couples night out and what fun we had! The decor of the place, the lights, the huge flower in the middle, the big table! NOT to mention the food and awesome service! The guy who waited on us was fun and great! Love the place! Goes with my taste of decor esp the bathroom! The food is excelent esp the steak! Didnt try the wine list though! Would love to come back here- nice place to impress a date, a business opportunity and even familes.

Worst service ever. Management highly unprofessional.

By kachst2011 |

Poor service. Gauchos kept dripping meat juices all over our shoes and clothes during our experience. I don’t expect to have stains on clothes and shoes when gong out to dine. I spoke with the manager on duty and my husband even saw him rolling his eyes as I walked back to the table. Very unprofessional behavior from management. I didn’t know if I dined here I needed to wear a poncho. After two complaints the manager did absolutely nothing at all to amend the service. I didn’t pay $50 per person to have meat fat and juices spilled on my dining party. Management here is horrible. Save yourself the grief and go dine at another Brazilian restaurant as I’ve never had this happen at Fogo.

Best Churrascaria in town

This is the real thing. I have eaten at Fogo de Chao and others and this is the best I have seen. The meats are the best and salad bar is off the charts.

Trying new things

By BobB1211 |

We went out to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted to try a Brazilian steakhouse since we have never been to one. Chose Texas de Brazil. From the moment we were greeted by the host, I must say the experience was memorable. The "salad" bar was stocked with items not usually seen at a typical salad bar. It was nice trying a great variety. When you are ready for the meats, again, not disappointed. The waiter, Juan, made sure to keep our drinks filled, brought potatoes and fried bananas, and wanted to make sure we had our favorite meats. My wife and tried over half of the offerings before we got full. We had our favorites but all were mouth watering delicious. Definitely will return.

Great Service Awesome Food

Came here with friends for a reunion. The service was excellent and the food was great. The restaurant has a modern look and the ambience was perfect. It's also nicely situated in close proximity to the parking garage to the city.

Amazing!

Excellent food and service. Be sure you are hungry when you go! The salad bar was just as amazing as the meat offerings!

Texas de Brazil Houston

Food is good. The lobster bisque is very good. Service is fast and courteous. The salad bar and sudes is fantastical. The grilled meats are tasty and served at your choice of doneness.

I'd go back again and again!

Three times in two years. Birthday this time. Valet is 50 feet from the door, $8.00. Garage is right behind the restaurant $?. Upon entry you'll feel like a VIP the way you're greeted. Reservation early (6pm) recommended. Very colorful, grand ceilings, spacious. The salad/sides bar is all that some diners need. Various veggies, lobster bisque, black beans, salmon, cheese, etc. The 12+ meats are cooked to your palet. Just ask the caballero, or your server, for whatever you wish. Filet Mignon was so tender a spoon could cut it. Please ask for the beef rib meat. It is similar to a tender succulent roast. Dessert is dessert. I've had key lime pie, carrot cake, chocolate mousse cake. All were great. The bathrooms are modern clean, glass and tile. You'll pay $98.00 before tax and tip. It is definitely an experience we always enjoy. Take some pictures while there.

Great food and a reasonable price.

By Steve S |

It is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination ($50 per person not including drinks), but the steak is amazing and the salad bar was fantastic. We had a great meal and I would go again next time I'm in town.

225.00 dollars later

By AUSAGUY007 |

Didn't even drink...,,, there were four people... It was probably the worst Food I've ever had... Doesn't seem even like the waiters care. With it being around 60 to $50 a person.... The meat was either overcooked or when I say undercooked it was pretty much Raw was there about 30 to 45 there was only about two or three tables in the whole entire space that was taken didn't have much flavor to the meat either. And they didn't have that many options I like gamagachiou on Westimer 10 times better this concept used to be in Sugarland and they closed and open the one here I would recommend if you want steak go to Salt and Pepper next door they have better food and better pricing but that's my opinion if you really want crappy food go eat it for yourself and rate it
