YUM!

By Kimberley42 |

I love the food here. The atmosphere could still use some improvement, but everything is tasty and the prices are good. A nice place to relax in all seasons.

Great Neighborhood Restaurant

By Lynn5450 |

We had lunch and sat outside. I ordered Pra Ram,the vegetables were cooked perfectly and the peanut sauce was delicious, serving size was perfect for lunch. My friend had the Basil Fried rice Rice again very tasty with nice seasoning. Lunch was served with a small cup of soup and an egg roll. The service was very good, and I will return!

Funky and good!

My wife and I were unable to get into a show down the street and saw Thai Herbs, decided to try it. Pleasantly funky decor (with Guatemalan coffee sacks under the table glass, lots of Thai ads on the walls) and really friendly service. We really liked their version of larb and had the Mango Tango with shrimp -- very tasty. Next time will have to ask them to spice it up a bit -- we definitely plan to do so in the near future, hopefully before they've run out of roasted duck!

Best Thai Ever

By Oliver Lurix |

I have tried many Thai restaurants in Portland and this is by far the best. My favorites are the Pumpkin Curry and Pad Kee Mao with Chicken. These dishes are very very good. The appetizers are very good and the Salad Rolls and the Fried Wontons are my favorites. They have some really good Mango Sticky Rice. I highly recommend this restaurant and go there or get takeout 1-2 times a month. You should try this place or else your missing out on the best Thai. I don’t know how this place doesn’t have many reviews.

Good food

Very tasty Thai here. Service both at the restaurant and for Togo orders has been good. The drunken noodle and the salad rolls are both awesome.

Nice atmosphere, good food

We had Tomyum soup, which was loaded with seafood, and nice curry. Plus great satay. It's great sitting outside, lovely atmosphere and good service

Very tasty food, casual atmosphere!

Really enjoyed the Tom Yum soup, we had everything with Tofu, very savory and flavorful, likewise the Panang Curry and Vegetables in Oyster Sauce. All very good, we'll be back!

Great curry!

The curry, pra ram, and pad Thai were all tasty, make sure you ask for the spice tray, since everything arrived without any spice. The service was excellent, even at the picnic tables out front, and the IPA delicious.

Perfecto🤌

My family and I are obsessed with papaya salad so we sought out this restaurant to see how well they did. They did not disappoint. I would give this restaurant all five stars down to the location, customer service and quality of food!!

The King Of Thai in Portland

By Randy J |

It is not easy for Thai food to stand out in Portland, there are quite a few good locations, but when I recently started to eat (multiple times since the first) at Thai Herbs, this funky place is now #1 in my Asian food go-to list. Why? Won Ton soup. The best I've ever had. Prior to that my favorite was at Tai Tung in Seattle's Chinatown. That's a long way to get Won Ton soup. No longer. Thai Herbs' version exceeds Tai Tung by a lot. The other dishes at Thai Herbs are superb. The building itself does not look at all like it would host Thai food, not in the least and that makes it double special not to mention its location in Multnomah Village. Want great Thai? Go to Thai Herbs!

A Walk of the Mild Side

By Mike M |

Thai Herbs is in the middle of Multnomah Village and has both indoor and outside seating. The décor inside would not make you think of a Thai restaurant as it is more like a burger place. The service was good and quick and the portions of good size. We have had Thai food in various places in U.S. and overseas and like it. The food at Thai Herbs was well done, but they did not ask us if we wanted hot, medium or spicy as other places do. I am a medium on the spicy side person and what we received was very mild. There is no additional pepper sauce available on the table. Pad Thai and Yellow Curry good but no sparks flew. Those who like it that way will be more pleased. Good value.

Great Thai Flavors

I was a little concerned about past reviewers complaints about SLOW service, but since we were early and had plenty of time my daughter and I decided to take our chances. Service was prompt throughout. It's always better to have more people at a table to truly take advantage of family style eating at Thai restaurants. Since we were just two this time we decided to plan ahead for leftovers. We ordered 3 plates. Green papaya salad was a little different than others I've had. Lots of cabbage, carrots and peanuts in proportion to the green papaya, which made it a little more interesting. Unusually it came with a side of sticky rice - great way to soak up some of the sauce. We typically try Pad See Ew at a new restaurant - it's our baseline for comparison. As with the papaya salad, the proportion of "stuff" to noodles was higher than some - won points with us. Third dish was mango curry with chicken. Nothing blow away amazing, but tasty and the right amount of spice for us. All in all, I would definitely try them again next time we're in the area.

Average Thai

If you are looking for a nice Thai place that isnt too pricey this could satisfy your requirements. We were happy with the food although nothing stood out

Some good, some not so good

By Traci S |

We ordered the Shrimp Mango Tango, it was excellent with nice, ripe mangos and a bit of a kick from the chili pepper. We also ordered the chicken pad thai and it was not good, so much fish sauce it tasted like bad fish. So overpowering you couldn't taste the chicken or much of anything else. I'll try it again but next time I'll ask to skip the fish sauce.

Delicious Thai food!

Overall great food, friendly staff, good service. Had the veggie Thai herb rolls, Mussaman curry, Pad Thai, and pineapple fried rice. All were delicious although the Pad Thai was disappointing in that it was relatively bland. Still good though and my wife liked it. The herb rolls were fresh and the two dipping sauces - peanut and a type of plum sauce, were equally as tasty. As authentic to being in Thailand as you'll get in Portland, including the Thai staff. Would definitely recommend and return for more!

Good Food, Nice Deck

I have a Thai salad here every so often and enjoy relaxing on the deck and people watching. Consistent food, good service.

Expected Better in Portland

I understand that Portland has or is becoming a "Foodie" capital. Of course, I was visiting relatives, so I did not get to experience a lot of Portland, content to spend time just being together. However, in the charming area of Portland called Multnomah, we had lunch at Thai Herbs. Food was good. Service was not--not very cooperative or accommodating. Maybe next trip I will be able to have a true foodie experience.

Deliciousness! Spicy and delightful!

Located in Multnomah village, up some stairs -- the space is cozy and comfortable. Our server was fantastic and the food was delicious. Food: Standout dishes are the fish cakes (appetizer) and Panang curry chicken (I asked for very spicy and they did not disappoint). Sadly, they were out of mango sticky rice so I cannot review that. Drinks: The Thai iced tea is very tasty, as is the lemonade. I loved the Tamarind whiskey sour.
