My husband and I stopped at Thai Hut for Sunday lunch. It was our first visit— but not our last! The service was excellent- our waitress was friendly and helpful- especially advising about the levels of slickness in the curry! Ask! The red curry was delicious and just spicy enough!! My husband had Pad Thai and was very pleased. He’s had Pad Thai many other places. Bonus! They have a Sunday Lunch special !! We will return!

My husband & I are regulars especially on Monday, Wednesday & Friday when their soup 🍜 of the day is our favorite rice soup! Our favorite entree is medium spice Chicken Pad Thai. Their lunch special price is very affordable! All their servers are friendly & very helpful. It's a very small yet cozy place that we highly recommend 😋

Previously I had always gotten take out at Thai Hut and have never been disappointed. Took two out of town friends there for New Years Eve dinner and ate in the dining room fir the first time. Everything was awesome. Very fresh and great service to boot. Will definitely return.

I got the Mongolian beef lunch plate. It was very good. Only 7.95 for lunch plate and sweet tea (only tea is included in that price.) Quick and attentive service.

My parents are vegetarian and this place too good fo vegies. So close to Seaworld and better options than seaworld. Must go place!

First time eating here with my wife. The lemon chicken and vegetable delight we ordered was excellent. You can order the spice level of your order by the number 1 to 5 from mild to very spicy. Most dishes offer choice of meat or tofu. Nice clean restaurant with subdued lighting. The service was excellent. We will certainly be returning. Highly recommended.

Nothing negative to say... It was a nice place, in a nice area around other nice businesses. Good is okay. Nothing that's going to jump right out at ya. Big for a large family or gathering.

We ate Thai Hut for the first time recently. Lots to choose from on the menu and the food is great. We had the cheese rolls, shrimp pad thai and chicken pad thai. The food was really great and you receive huge servings, but service was slightly scattered - the restaurant was only about half full around 8 pm. This definitely seems more like a "take-out" restaurant. We will be calling in our orders and picking it up next time.

My wife and I love coming here for lunch. The food is great, the price is great. There's rarely a wait. It really is a hidden gem.

We enjoyed our food here very much. We have been looking for a good Thai restaurant close to our house since we moved here, and I think we found it. Service was great prices were reasonable and the decor was modest but fine. I had the pad pak with tofu and the spring rolls. Yum! We will definitely be coming back.

LOVED their Tom Kair Gai soup, Pad King and Green Curry! Then, to top it off, we ordered their Mango Jasmine rice dessert...heaven! Location is far from all the hustle & bustle of downtown and still within the Loop-410/1604 urban area of SA. Worth your time!

My tea came with the special which is something I wish most places would do. The food was good and the staff was attentive

I go with my family. My children love it. Great service, nice staff. The place is kind of hidden. I've never been to Thailand, but love thai food. I have tried several restaurants in town, and this little place has the very best quality fresh thai food in town!

Ate here on a business trip with 3 other people. I ordered a dish with cashews. When it arrived, wrong protein and no cashews. Brought it to the server's attention and their response was to bring me a ramekin of cold raw cashews to put on my food. No bueno. Food was poorly prepared, not seasoned at all and very mediocre. Had to pay at the counter, the cashier was confused and it took forever for them to figure out who had what and take our payment. When I checked my statement after returning home, my charges were incorrect, I got somebody else's bill. I contacted them about the discrepancy and included a copy of my original receipt and the charge on my card. They never even bothered to answer my complaint or reimburse me. Surprised they're still open for business.

Good food priced right. Convenient location . Nice staff. I will go back. That's it. Thank you Thank you

This is the best thai food we have had in San Antonio. Normally get the Basil Chicken or Pad Cashew. Sauce is very tasty and good portions, good prices.

The new location off of Bitters and 1604 is the Best around this area, the lunch menu is unbeatable, entree, soup, and spring roll all for under $7, can't Beat it!! This is our new place we love to go for Thai food, the place is clean and service is excellent, authentic too, you can choose your level of hotness when ordering the Curry dishes.

Been to this place twice. The first time we ate in and I ordered the fish special which they said was red snapper. Took the first bite of my fish and immediately knew it was cod and almost looked as if it was the frozen kind out of a box. My wife had the thai hut fired rice that is a wet style and actually delicious. The second time I had the drunken noodles which were mediocre at best. And oh...did I forget to mention they serve plain white rice instead of jasmine (served on both visits)? You don't deserve to call yourself a Thai restaurant and not have jasmine rice. From what I ate here, the thai fried rice is the closet thing to being aithentic Thai (I've lived in Asia and traveled throughout Korea).

This was my first visit to this resturant and my first experience with Thai food. The waitress and host were extremely pleasant and helpful when it came to placing my order. The atmosphere is nice and quaint. The food came out fast and tasted great. This definatly will not be my last first.

The service was perfect! Very attentive, professional and right on cue! The menu was everything normally associated with Thai and then some! I had the Pad Katiem (Garlic) dish and I really liked it! I asked for spicy and it could have used some more heat; the serving was just the right size; and the price was very reasonable! I am looking forward to returning very soon!

I’ll start by saying the chicken satay was a good portion and tasty so that was helpful even though the peanut sauce was watery. Like, I think they actually watered it down. I normally have to ask for mild spice but there wasn’t an option to do so (delivery take out) and turns out spice wasn’t going to be a problem. The chicken pad Thai was absolutely flavorless. I thought maybe I was losing my sense of taste but then the rest of the family agreed that there was no flavor. Truly a waste of a meal. It’s a night when we wanted to indulge in noodles and we’ll probably throw them out or try to repurpose them with some store bought sauce tomorrow. They might make better leftovers rewarmed anyway because the noodles were also a bit undercooked. This was our first time trying thai hut and it will be our last as well. Unfortunate that we ordered two of the pad Thai.

One of the specials today, and advertised on a chalkboard, at the entrance, was soft shell crab. After asking a few questions re: method of preparation, my spouse ordered the fried soft shell crab. It is served with one the best Penang curry sauces that I have ever had. I have eaten at many Thai & Vietnamese restaurants, here t again. in SA as well as in Dallas & Houston, most especially. I love both of these cuisines. My husband really enjoyed the soft shell crab & would order it again. The soup of the day was chicken & rice. The broth was delicious! It has. Small pieces of ground chicken, rice & small pieces of carrots. My husband fell in love with the Pad Thai on our last visit & ordered it again, with beef. He didi't leave a noodle on the plate! Because my husband ordered an appetizer, I ordered one, too: edamame. It could have used more salt. We were still working on our appetizers when the main dishes arrived. The red curry is very good. I usually order my dishes with chicken. Medium spicy was great; not too spicy. The plates are served with a fried spring roll. Mine was mushy. The first time we came we ordered the mango with sticky rice and it was delicious. Next time: Penang Curry!

This is a family owned and run restaurant. You are waited on by different family members that are concerned that you are properly attended to. The service is great and the location is clean and neat. The food is quite authentic. Since I have never been to Thailand I must leave any comparisons of the food at this restaurant to real Thai food in Thailand to my friend that was born and raised in Thailand. She swears that this is real Thailand style family cooking. It is always served hot and fresh. There is a daily lunch special and soup of the day. My wife has a favorite dish that she asks for even though she might not be able to pronounce the name she knows that is the dish she craves. You will be pleased by the food, the service and the price.

It's not that there's something especially wrong here, but other Thai restaurants do it so much better. We took our flatware and serviettes from another table AFTER being served the food because we needed them and the staff was having a conversation near the register. Two of us got the water we requested; we were three. The requested check did not arrive --more conversation time for the staff. At the register one person blamed another for not delivering the check. Food isn't bad, but the unenthusiastic service when compared to other Thai restaurants was unexpected.

The many meals I have had at this fairly new Thai Hut have all been an excellent value, really tasty, and efficiently served. The lunch specials are delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. I am delighted to see this restaurant do so well because this spot has not been good luck for the last two eateries who were at this location. Thai Hut seem to do lots of business every day and I can see why.

I've been here a few times and never disappointed. The food is excellent, and the service is great. The setting is peaceful and inviting.

The restaurant has been here a couple of years but have never stepped in. The whole experience was great. The food and service were excellent! I usually always have the Pad Thai when I try a new Thai place and this one was extra good. The price for the food was reasonable as well. A great place to bring the family.

Called in while looking for somewhere to eat. The food was really tasty and very authentic. There was lots to choose from on the menu and the Thai beer was particularly good. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes Thai food. They do take out also which seemed very popular with the locals.

Great selection of Thai and Chinese dishes. Our favorite is the Panag Curry and Pad Thai. A good selection of beer and of course bubble tea.

I tried this place near me based on other Trip Advisor recommendations. Went for take out. Very clean, restaurant smelled really good when I entered. I did not call ahead, so had to wait a while for my large order, but well worth the wait. First off, they opened every container and showed me what I had (never had that happen before). When I got home I found out why I had to wait-everything was obviously prepared fresh for me with fresh ingredients. I will definitely be back.

We were staying at the Hyatt Resort near Sea World and needed to find inexpensive dining options. This place really fit the bill! The curry was delicious and the pad thai was quite good, the portions are large and the prices are small! Would come here any time were are in the area!

This is definitely the place to go for Thai cuisine in San Antonio. Everything is incredibly well priced and consistent in taste. The Three Flavored Tilapia, Pad Thai, and Pad Pak are great, but the main reason to come is for the curries. The curries (especially the Red/Panang) are incredibly authentic in taste and color, plus they have a certain richness to them that I've never tasted in other places in San Antonio, especially Yellowgrass Thai or that Thai restaurant at Alamo Ranch. Overall, a great family owned restaurant! I certainly wish more family owned businesses, like this, would come to this side of town.

The food wasnt bad but it wasnt great either. The prices were comparable to other locations near by. Not a cheap place to eat. I asked for extra spicey on my meal but it was still not really spicey. I'm used to eating Thai food that will knock your socks off from the heat. But it didn't do that here

We enjoyed the delicious food at this local restaurant. We ordered off the lunch specials menu and found the prices very good. The meal included soup, rice, spring roll and iced tea. We had pad Thai and red curry with chicken. Both were excellent. A side of rice was only a dollar. Plenty of parking. I'd give the restaurant 5 stars except for the wait staff. None of them were smiling and our waitress wasn't what I'd call cordial or helpful. Aside from this, the food was a good value.

My husband and I had dinner here today and the food was wonderful. Both our dishes were great and the appetizers were yummy. In addition to the food the server was nice and the restaurant was clean. I think if we lived in San Antonio we would eat here every week!

I really enjoyed the food; they serve a variety of Thai and Chinese dishes. The place is a little bit old, but the food is good and fast service. I ordered Pad Thai with shrimp, and it was delicious.

We live around the corner from Thai Hut and are here at least once a week. The food and service are great. The prices are reasonable too. I'd recommend the lomein and the chicken curry

This place has incredible potential, but was a real disappointment. Greasy Thai food, small portions, overpriced, and marginal service delivered a sub-par dining experience.

I have travelled to Thailand many times and it is one of my favorite cuisines in Asia. In San Antonio you will not find high end dinning as you do in Ny, LA, Chicago, etc si when I come I experiment understanding that the choice is limited. We orders red and greed curry and the obligated Pad Tai. All where quite reasonable. The service is cafeteria level and the decor of a low end restaurant. Wine selection is VERY limited. Regardless the experience was not bad.

Always a great choice. Thai hut is our go to Thai restaurant. We love the location on Potranco but have had good experiences from the one on the North side. I usually get the Pad Woon Sen but the green curry is delicious. I have eaten here easily 50+ time because the lunch special is amazing. Soup, Spring Roll, entree, and a tea for only like 8 bucks. Easily 5 stars.

We used to visit this place often when we lived in the area. They have an appetizer called the "cheese rolls." They are so delicious. They are tiny little wonton wrappers that are filled with cream cheese and served with sweet chili sauce. We had to order a second app because 2 each is not enough. It was 4 of us in our party. The food is a little better than average and the prices are reasonable. Worth it to check it out.

Delicious Thai food. Loved the fried dumplings. Prices per entree were a bit high but the portion size was pretty big. Large enough to share between 2 people.

Came in for lunch during a training. Fast service good food and delicious boba tea. Good for the price

I dined here with my family while on a visit. When we entered the restaurant I feared the food would be marginal and highly americanized based on the decor. However the food overall was good. The only disappointment was the satay we ordered for the kids - it wasn't Thai style satay at all. I think they used a quickie recipe so they don't have to marinate and prepare a proper version. Luckily the kids didn't mind. My dish (Pad King) was excellent - I enjoyed it so much my wife cooked it for me the first night after we returned from our trip. Service on the other hand was pretty unprofessional. It was like some kids wandering around occasionally doing their job rather than real waiters/waitresses. We'd definitely return. We've long looked for decent asian food in SA at a reasonable price and for the first time we've found a place.

Tried their drunken noodles and my daughter had Pad Thai. Both of our entrees were very good. Lunch included soup, spring roll and rice unless you order a noodle dish. We would go back for sure.

We ordered a takeout for dinner. It was so obvious that these cheap people had given us their leftovers from lunch. And we paid good money for it too. Very very extremely disappointed!

Best food so fresh best summer rolls great service I love there veggie dishes.. they offer great chili sauces. Peanut sauce is the best.. soups are the best.. lol I do go to Thai restaurants a lot. By far one of the best !!!

Sticky rice juice spilled out of the container, main entree was too raw and not well seasoned. Average meal at best.

Very good and delicious tasting food! Very nice service and friendly staff. We where there with two kids (2 and 5 years) and nice kids meals and good food! Goes from mild to very spicy so that was nice.

This is my neighborhood go to Thai restaurant when I am craving Beef Thai Salad, Pad Thai, Laam, Basil Chicken, Spicy Papaya salad and so much more if you are an adventurous eater. The prices are under $10 for lunch and I love their Thai iced coffee or Thai tea. They have bubble teas but the stocks on different flavors like taro and avocado are a hit or miss. I go to Tealicious for bubble tea cravings. Dinner here on the weekends with families and couples are usually full. They have good service, just let them know if you are dining in or getting it to go so you can seated promptly. There is also a membership card you can scan each time to eat here and you earn points towards free entrees and drinks. If you are visiting Sea World or staying in the nearby Hilton, Hyatt, and Mariott Hotels off HWY 151, just drive down to Potranco Rd exit then head west and you will see this restaurant 3 stoplights down across CVS Pharmacy intersection. Enjoy!

The lunch special is very well priced. The food is great. The food portions are always large. A little inconsistency with their spiciness but otherwise great.

First time buying from this place and its the last time too. Food has no flavor. Food was barely warm too. Noodles are over boiled and bland. It was way over priced too. We had 2 plates chicken pad thai. Sucks when you really want pad thai and you end up with bolied ramen instead without seasoning. We also ordered 2 dinner entrees and the portion of rice we got you woyld have thought there was a rice shortage.... save your time and money and dont waste your time here! You've been warned. That was a major waste of $60.00.

We were in the neighborhood and thought we would try this restaurant. So glad we did. The service was fast, the food was very good, and the portions were large for the price. We will be back.
Ordered food to go
We ordered food to go, they screwed up my order, ordered vegetarian curry but they gave us chicken curry, ordered ground chicken but they gave us regular chicken, ordered cashew nut chicken and told them , three times, they have charged us for extra cashew but they didn't add it.. Pros: food was tasty.
