Was staying at the Warwick Melrose and discovered this tiny little place next door- easy to overlook- its pretty basic in appearance but don't let that fool you- the food was delicious- very fresh and flavorful. We were a group of three who ordered different curries with the Tom Kha soup. Every dish was wonderful- no complaints. Would definitely revist when back in the area.

I really enjoyed the Thom Kha. It was a nice, refreshing balance of creamy coconut milk and lively spice. A tall glass of ice water balanced out the Spicy Basil Fried Rice (set to medium heat). Refreshing way to end a weekend and relax on a Sunday afternoon.

Thai food is one of my favorites. I have traveled extensively in Thailand and this tiny restaurant has some of the most authentic Thai food in Dallas. I tried 7 Thai restaurants, in Dallas, until I found authentic Thai food. This is THE place.

Very Good Food, Quick Service, Love the Nice People, Family Owned. Well priced food, love their Gioza, their shrimp fried rice is good. My spouse said the the Curry dish is very good as well. I dont like Curry, but it tasted and it wasn't real strong, even I wasn't offended by the taste. It is a small place, but quaint. I go there two or three times per quarter. It is tucked away, so we forget about it, but when we remember we go right back. It is definitely a place to try.

This restaurant had very tasty food and generous portions. They have long hours so they tend to be open whenever you're hungry.

Thai lotus doesn't have much curb appeal. But it's an easy five star as the food is unbelievably delicious! The Tom Kha Soup is delicious and the "golden triangle "appetizer is fantastic- fried housemate tofu with a delicious peanut sauce. Big thumbs up!

Tiny cafe. Terrific service. Great menu. Chilly Spring Rolls were beautiful and delicious. Steamed dumplings and pad thai were also very good. Prices are fair, particularly for this area. Zero complaints. Will definitely return.

Years ago, I came upon this restaurant and fell in love with the “hole-in-the-wall-ness” of it. Now, placed between a taco shop and a Cafe Brazil, Thai Lotus can be found by looking for the faded pink and green facade. The restaurant’s front is so small that it can be mistaken for a window-service type place, however, upon entering the doors, it is apparent that the patrons are comfortable and the service is excellent. On one particular occasion, I met a good friend of mine for dinner. We were seated immediately and given water within seconds of our arrival. Although this restaurant is incredibly popular for their take-out (as was evident by all the people coming in and leaving with already packaged food containers), the servers were attentive and kind. When we ordered our food: a green curry for me and Pad Thai for my companion, we were asked about the preferable spice level and given options for the different types of accompaniments. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was at the perfect temperature for tasting (too hot for devouring). We enjoyed the spice and the Thai flavors in both of our dishes. Although they do not serve alcohol, we enjoyed ourselves immensely and will return anytime a craving for Thai food surfaces (which is at least once per week).

I’m not a big fan of Thai but wanted to try what all the rave was about. I ordered the Drunken Noodle (I chose my heat 🔥 as 3, with chicken) and some crispy spring rolls. When I tell you, the best dayuuummm noodle concoction I’ve ever had. The flattened egg like noodles, beocilli, carrots but like crinkle fries and the touch of basil made this dish a hit! I definitely will be back…👌🏽😘♥️

The location of this restaurant made it ideal during bad weather in Dallas. I called in an order to pick up while staying next door at the Warwick Dallas. They were fast, the price as decent, and the food was very tasty. The location itself is small, but I think it is mostly a take out restaurant. If in town on business, particularly at the Warwick, and you would like something other than expensive hotel food, this is a hop, skip and a jump from the hotel.

Very small restaurant but the food and portions are above average. The service is fairly efficient without much friendliness--not rudeness just not friendly LOL.

I've dined in a few times and had take out several times. The food is always very good. The restaurant itself is small but clean and the staff has always been friendly. It's reasonably priced. I definitely recommend it

Stopped in for lunch and was greeted by the owners in a very small establishment. But don't let the small size worry you! They have about half a dozen lunch specials, that you can choose to compliment with beef, chicken, pork, fish or shrimp. I selected the Pad Thai with chicken, a standby for me. I was asked if I would like it spicy, which I like (both the spice as well as being asked). As it was the first cold snap in Dallas this season, I requested hot jasmine tea. The tea was brought first, with honey as a sweetener, followed quickly by a cup of very tasty vegetable broth. Before I could get halfway done with the soup, my entre arrived, including a spring roll which was amazing. The Pad Thai was a very nice portion for lunch, and was indeed spicy, as I like it. Actually, the Pad Thai was fantastic, with so much shredded chicken that there was chicken in every bite! A very enjoyable experience, and considering the neighborhood, VERY reasonably priced. All around, a fantastic meal, served with speed and attention.

We attempted to go to one of our old favorites, the original Black Eyed Pea. It is now closed, for good. We went down a few doors to find Thai Lotus, and thought, "Why not?" We love good Thai food. The restaurant is unpretentious, which was a good sign for us. My wife ordered Yellow Curry with Chicken, I had Pad Thai with Chicken. We were immediately severed an excellent Hot and Sour Soup made with very fresh ingredients. Both of our meals were excellent! We had a Mango and Sticky Rice desert that was also wonderful. The service couldn't have been better and the price was very reasonable (another good sign for good Thai). We can hardly recommend Thai Lotus for lovers of Thai food!

This place is very small. Anna is the owner and she will take good care of you. The food was really great. Nice selection of dishes and drinks. Due to the size, I would not recommend going here if you have something very personal to discuss, as I was able to clearly hear all the conversations around me. It is a personal favorite to many of the local residents that live in the area.

This is a gem of a find. Easily missed if you don’t know it’s there. Such a lovely atmosphere. Great customer service and superb menu. All the classics. No fuss. No frills. Just good honest Thai food. Throughly enjoyed my dish. Will definitely return!

I am Thai and was on a business trip here in Dallas. Finding the right taste when abroad is not that difficult these days. Thai Lotus Kitchen has already a high rating from respectable apps. I don't need to brag it much. Recommended dishes:- Drunken Noodles Sweet Basil with Bamboo shoots Red Curry Drinks:- Thai Iced Tea Staff and owner are attentive and anticipated needs. Enjoy your meals.

Stopped in on a very cold night in November and had a great meal. I believe they probably have a very robust takeout business because the restaurant area was sparse (not unlike many asian restaurants where it's really about the food). Food was delicious, service was very good and it was in a convenient location.

Had yummy shrimp fried rolls served with a tasty sauce then a perfect chicken pad Thai. This is THE place for pad Thai lovers. They will not disappoint. Learned they've been operating for years. I understand why!

Thai is my favorite food and Dallas has a lot of restaurants. I went through several "so called" Thai restaurants until I found one that reminded me of downtown Bangkok and the Floating Market. This place is the best. Small, very small, but if you want real Thai and not Americanized Thai, this is the place.

Ordered shrimp fried rice, chicken fried rice and wonton soup for takeout. From reading reviews thought this would be a great place to try. For $36 it was below to very average. Paid extra for the shrimp - waste of money! Too many other places to go before I go back.

This restaurant is not good looking or special for it atmosphere but it delivers excellent thai food for good prices. Had a good Tom Yum soup, followed by a very good green curry and beef cashew stirfry. Friendly service and a nice change from the bbq and steak menu's. Highly recommended

The Thai Lotus is in the area of town that we usually stay in and near the bars and clubs that we frequent and I've been meaning to try it for a while. It looks small and quaint from the outside and I've found that a lot of these places have the best food. Two of us ordered a dish each for carry out and both of us thought the food was just ok. The employees were all friendly and helpful but the food itself was just ok.

This is the best, most authentic Thai food I have tried. Very small place but delicious food and great service. The owner is very attentive and helpful with selections. Huge servings, probably could have shared a plate. The Thom kha soup is so good. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but what hole in the wall does.

We were served quick, reasonably priced and yummy!!! Very polite server and walking distance from the Daisy Polk Inn.

The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Service folks were super nice and food was terrific. Loved the coconut shrimp appetizer Yum

I had been craving Thai food and was turned on to this place by several locals. It looks a bit run down from the outside, and the inside is out of date, but the food was fabulous, reasonably priced, and the service was quick! I ordered the shitakke and chicken pad thai which was big enough for me to take home and have for lunch the next day. My colleague ordered the beef pepper steak and he enjoyed his, as well as mine! We split a steamed dumpling appetizer which was out of this world! I will definitely go again the next time I'm in Dallas!

This was a hidden treasure found while visiting Dallas. The staff was friendly and the food was exceptional. Thai Lotus will be on my list to visit again.

This was my second visit to Thai Lotus Kitchen. I really enjoyed my Green Curry Chicken served with rice. The flavor was very good. It was spicy enough without being too spicy. The staff was courteous and helpful. It's a hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant, but they make up for it with good food and staff. I plan to return to Thai Lotus Kitchen.

This restaurant located on Cedar Spring. One thing you have to be caution is closing time. This restaurant closed really early in every night(9:00-9:30 p.m.)

I'm here for a conference. I wanted affordable, fast and quality delivery. Success! Just make sure to call the front desk so security does not give the delivery personnel a difficult time.

My wife is the Thai fan and I get to join her on these dining occasions. I read the other reviews and this place sounded like my kind of non franchise, non Sysco kind of diner, drive in or dive. This is a small neighborhood hole in the wall- and it was perfect. We enjoyed the Basil fried rice and cashew chicken. Very fresh ingredients that very prepared quickly and consumed slowly. The service was attentive but not hovering. We were even told they were looking forward to seeing us again!

This is a small restaurant tucked between other restaurants and retail shops. It is older and easy to overlook. Don't pass it by. The food is great and made to order. It is always fresh. Prices are reasonable. It appears to be family owned. The lady who always waits tables is friendly and attentive. My favorite dish is spicy drunken noodles. I often make a special from another city to eat them.
Outstanding Thai Food along with Fast Delivery Service!
It's always nice to find a good restaurant that also delivers (@ no extra charge) when you visit a large city & have had a long day, but you want some good food without having to get out on the road again. I am a great fan of Thai food, & so I usually frequent Thai sites when hungry. Always the problem with delivery on-line orders has been getting the order right, & Thai Lotus delivers great food but also correctly, even arriving within the predicted timeline. The appetizers are probably all good, but we sampled the steam dumplings, crisp Thai rolls, & the Golden Triangle tofu, which did live up it's name with perfectly prepared fried tofu along with some peanut-fusion sauces. The dumplings were a little over-salted, but given the spot-on quality of other menu items, this can be overlooked, especially on a late-night delivery order. The entree dishes were cooked with both highly tuned flavors & also creativity, starting with the Pad Thai, which was simply mouthwatering. The Drunken Noodles were flat Thai noodles seasoned to perfection with basil, onion, & brown sauce. A deliciously spiced dish. Recommend this site to locals & visitors.
