A local friend and I were in the mood for some Thai, and we rightly chose Thai Noon for dinner. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. We got a very nice and attentive server, I’m sorry I forgot his name, but he had a beard. I would definitely go back another time.

We have been there for dinner numerous times: before, during and now if the pandemic times and we have never been disappointed on anything we have ordered here. Their dishes are always deploy and freshly prepared with full of aroma. We had crab wontons and fried tofu for starters was simply scrumptious. Dinner items was amazing….highly recommend and the prices are very reasonable

I love this place....this is our 5th time there and I very time we have gone, we have been very content as a family. We had appetizer from their daily specials and it was delicious....chicken patties with cucumber sauce. Our dinner entrees were all delicious and we ate our hearts out...this is about the best Thai place in Portland nowadays

I have been going to this particular Thai restaurant for more than 2 years with my business associates in Portland. Very consistent with professional and friendly service.

I had the curry grilled fish the vegetable were perfect not too raw or no over cooked. Prompt service.

Really good Thai in a neighborhood crowded with Thai restaurants.

Of the cheap Thai places on Alberta, this one is the best!

Over a couple of years, we always got take out from Thai Noon since it was close to where we stay with relatives. It was good. This trip, we did the take out but then actually ate at the restaurant. Not surprisingly it was even better there. The chicken is my dish is always trimmed well and the taste is consistent. I'm a big fan!

Once again I'm deeply disappointed by an Asian food experience in Portland. Maybe its me. But, after having eaten varieties of amazing Asian food in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, and in various Asian countries I just don't understand why Portland can't get its Asian food act together. I'm excluding sushi from this review because I think Portland has some decent sushi (Bamboo sushi and Departure) ... but that's where it ends. My wife and I ordered a couple of dishes at Thai Noon and had them upgraded to organic and with brown rice. Those couple of items with an appetizer came to $40 with a tip. I wouldn't mind paying that for something worth eating ... and have paid much more at Departure ... but the food we ate at Thai Noon was barely edible. The curry was as thin as soup and way too sweet. Nothing subtle or showing even the slightest understanding of the balance between sweet, salt, and sour. The noodle dish we ordered was way, way too oily and the noodles were stuck together in a distasteful clump. It's sad to write this review as everyone at Thai Noon is nice and polite. But, except for sushi and Departure, I have yet eat Asian food in Portland that rises above a grade of C-. Portland has world class food. Many of the meals I've eaten in Portland compare to or trump some of the finest meals I've eaten anywhere on the planet. Why can't this town get Asian right? Yes, yes to those who would hold Pok Pok up as the exception and the jewel. Well, I've eaten at Pok Pok and I don't see what all the fuss is about. If you don't know what I'm talking about then make a trip to San Francisco and eat at The Slanted Door. Or, visit NYC and eat at Han Gawi. As for me, I won't be stepping foot back in Thai Noon. I believe Portland can do so better! And I believe they will. And when they do, people will be lining up for reservations.

7.99 for only a small cup of yellow curry, but it was not authentic curry at all. Instead, the dishwashers must have added yellow tumeric to hot water along with less than a spoonful of actual vegetables, which amounted to two slices of carrot, a broccoli floret, and a spoonful of potato along with 2 small teaspoon size cubes of uncooked tofu. If this is what Portland residents enjoy as quality Thailand curry, that is an embarrassment to them, Thailand, and food culture.

we returned to thai noon for lunch yesterday and sat outside.....i had a corona, and my partner had the thai tea with vodka....next, i had the veggie stir fry with tofu/brown rice, and she had the pineapple fried rice, veggie with tofu.....the drinks/food was excellent....the staff is always so friendly and quick....thx so much....

I want to like it because it is so close to my house but I get sick every time. It could be because I always order a chicken dish. Friends of ours have stopped going there and we have found another great thai place. Thai noon is a dirty poorly run restaurant.

Found this restaurant because the staff at a local store suggested Thai Noon. My daughter was in love with the food and couldn't stop exclaiming how happy she was. We ordered standards for us- pad see eiw and papaya salad. The portions were large and we brought home leftovers, which smelled fragrant. The hit of the meal was their sticky rice with mango- a large plate of delicious and sweet glutinous rice with slices of luscious mango. I envision going back to Thai Noon every visit to the Alberta district, as two incredible fabric stores are close to the restaurant. That we'd go t here hands down despite all the competition along Alberta speaks volume.

I can only review the Pad Thai, but it was delicious and generous amount, too. I had the chicken and my daughter had the tofu/vege. No problem making adjustments to the standard dish (i.e. no egg or no bean sprouts). Service was prompt and friendly.

They have great cashew stir fry!!! =) Also try the Panang curry it is awesome as well!

Ducked into Thai Noon for a late lunch and was not disappointed. I ordered panang curry and my friend had pad Thai. Both were well prepared. Service was good too.

We got take out here recently. I had the chicken panang curry and my wife had the ginger lovely. They were both delicious. While I didn't stay to eat, I did see that there is plenty of seating and an excellent bar area.

My son and I stopped into this restaurant on a recent afternoon and we shared a delicious Larb salad made with chicken. It had just the right balance of tangy and spicy, and was very light and fresh. The restaurant has a comfortable ambiance that encourages lingering. The price was very reasonable and we enjoyed our shared meal. Will return in the near future to try other items on the menu.

we returned to that noon for lunch...we each had a pbr....i had the veggie delight with organic rice a dn veggies/tofu....my partner had the drunken noodles with shrimp/veggies..most delicious and the staff is always friendly...thx

we hadn't been here for a couple of yrs, and came back for lunch yesterday...i hada pbr, and my partner had the thai island ice tea with vodka...i had the organic veggie delight with organic brown rice, and tofu, and she had the salad rolls and pad see eh....very delicious and the staff was quick and very friendly..we always love it here...

My usual stand-by for Thai food.

Love this place; love the ambiance and love the people….most importantly love their food. Been here multiple times and we have not had a bad experience ever…food is always fresh and delicious Go try it and I believe this is one of the best Thai food options in Portland area.

My friend and I enjoyed a delicious lunch here today on a sunny Saturday afternoon near the end of October. We started with the egg rolls and they were quite good with a thin crispy shell and tasty stuffing. Then we had main courses of Papaya Salad and Pad Thai. Both were plentiful and tasted very good. Service was prompt throughout. Very reasonable prices. Tables were widely spaced in the dining room and it was not at all noisy. I would definitely return.

Portland has a large number of Thai places and this is one of the better ones in NE. The food outdoes the decor, with fresh vegetable and meat dishes which are always great. We regularly order takeout from here and are always happy.

Visited as a family favorite place for my family that lives in Portland. Staff was very friendly and order came fairly quickly. Loved the spring rolls and egg rolls, the peanut sauce they serve with rolls was quite good. Get there early if you are going on Sunday lines form quickly.

Interesting spicing. Exceptional spring rolls. Spectacular curries. Helpful waitstaff. What it may lack in ambiance it certainly makes up in culinary delights.

Went here with a friend for lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy. They opened the doors so you could sit by the sidewalk and enjoy the sunshine or sit in the shade. We were immediately greeted and told to sit wherever we'd like. Once we were seated, we were given menus and waters. The servers took our orders and maybe 10 mins later, our food was sitting in front of us. The food was great! I tried their fried rice and their cashew nut with rice. The cashew nut had a little spice, but not enough to make you grab the water, the fried rice was perfect! They have different protein options for your choice of entree. The service was the best! My son dropped his napkin and fork and before I could reach down to pick them up, the server was there with a new fork and napkin for him. They were consistent with water refills and kept a good spirit. I'll definitely be back here

If you enjoy Thai food, you should try Thai Noon on Alberta Street. We had Pad See Ew and Pad Thai. Both were excellent. Service was friendly, helpful and quick. We will be back!

Always reliable - this Alberta Thai spot offers first class pad Thai and many other well known Thai dishes. Modestly priced. Good service. Can’t go wrong here.

My husband and I are harsh critics of Thai food and we loved this spot! Delicious fried spring rolls, pumpkin tempura, and yummy drunken noodles. They accommodated our substitutions and additions and were very friendly. The mango sticky rice is the real deal!

Went to area to eat at another Thai place and found it had gone out of business. An employee at new business referred us to Thai Noon, a few doors down. Food was very good and so was the service esp Tiger, our server. There was another server that helped us while dinning , a young Asian man was just as nice.he assisted us with password for our Fire Kindle and Ipod. The scene was nice and we will be back!

Looking for a new Thai restaurant and this was a great find. A little something for everyone. Best salad rolls I've had in a long time. Wontons were cooked perfectly. Alberta area is crowded but I had no problem finding a place to park within a short walk. No outside tables, but they have a wall/garage door they open up on nice days. Was so good I went back a week later. All entrees I tasted had great, fresh multi-layered flavors. This is my new favorite Thai restaurant!

we returned for lunch....i had a pbr, and my partner had a chocolate alcoholic beverage with vodka, amaretto, godiva, and she loved it too...i had the number 23 veggie stir fry with organic veggies and brown rice...she had a number 39,Panang Salmon Homemade Panang Curry and Salmon. Served with rice and organic veggies....everything was so delicious, and the staff is the best...so friendly....we love it here..thx again....

during covid 19, we walked to thai noon and ordered some food to go for lunch yesterday...i had the veggie stir fry with organic veggies, and brown rice with tofu....my partner had the cashew nut stir fry with tofu...delicious as always!...the staff is very careful, friendly, and quick...we appreciate that you are open, and good luck...we love your food..thx

We stopped here during a quick visit to Portland bc it was down the street from our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The atmosphere was nice and warm, and our beef, chicken, and shrimp fried rice dishes were very good. There were many locals eating here that seemed to frequent the restaurant. Highly recommend if in the NE Alberta area of Portland.

There are lots of thai restaurants near us, but we get takeout from Thai Noon almost weekly. Staff are very friendly and don't mind my 3 active kids when we dine in. Curries are spicy. I love that they'll happily keep tofu fresh instead of fried in their dishes. Food is always fresh and tasty. I think we've tried everything on the menu and have no complaints.

We had a family dinner here on a Sunday evening. No waiting in line, good service but very average Thai food. We ordered a papaya salad, a chicken pad thai, a panang curry with beef, a deep-fried fish (which happened to be salmon) and two other vegetable stir-fried dishes. The presentation was nice but the food had no flavor and was really sweet. The extra lime wedges helped a little bit but they are not enough to justify a return visit.

The food is always fresh and the flavor is amazing. Thai Noon has been a "special occasion " place as well as a take out on nights I don't want to cook! The green curry tofu is a favorite.

we returned to thai noon last night for dinner with a friend and sat outside on a hot evening......i had a tsing tao beer, my partner had a lemonade, and our friend had a glass of riesling....i had the number 23 veggie delight mixed vegetable with tofu/sub brown rice, and she had spring rolls with tofu and another appetizer.......he had pot stickers and fried wontons...it was so relaxing sitting outside....we love to people watch for the ambiance......the food is excellent....the lemonade was the best we've ever tasted......the staff is so friendly and quick...we love coming here....thx so much....

Great everything in this neighborhood place! Sweet n spicy basil was excellent! My wife had a delicious and spicy larb salad too. Service was prompt at 630 on a Wednesday and we sat outside enjoying the neighborhood.

We had a nice lunch here and enjoyed it, though I have to say it's hard to beat some of the amazing Thai we have had in San Francisco, hence four, not five, stars.

Well prepared and inexpensively priced Thai standards. Beautifully fresh vegetables. Thoughtful service.

Inexpensive but delicious Thai cuisine. Try their soup - Tom Kha , Panang Curry and Phad Kee Mao (drunken noodles).

Saturday lunch for two a la carte. We found the food very good, and the portions generous. The sauces and herbs were just right, and with better quality ingredients (prawns, chicken, tomatoes, and even carrots...) I would easily rank the food as excellent. Service was friendly, well informed, and efficient.

We went here recently with 2 adults and 2 children on a Friday night for dinner. Although we didn't have a reservation we were seated promptly. The kids are vegetarians and there were plenty of choices. The adults ate everything. We ordered lemongrass chicken which was very, very tasty. The kids had pad Thai which was also delicious. It has a casual atmosphere with good service. Street parking available.

we returned to thai noon for dinner last night with a friend...i had a tsingtao, and my partner had a thai version ice tea cocktail..our friend had wine.....i had the brown rice veggie delight with tofu, and she had the pad thai with shrimp....our friend had some plates he liked a lot...the food and staff are terrific as always..thx!

We went there late on a Thursday evening and we were able to sit down immediately. Food was brought to our table within minutes from the time we ordered. Food was fresh and reasonably tasty.

My favorite right now. Great Prices Quick Service. Within waling distance of the house.

Gross 'food'. Everything about the place is right on the mark - location is near a bus line, the indoor lighting is low, the place 'advertises' to those with dietary specifications - 'vegan' and 'gluten-free.' But, the 'food' Gross! I sat at a table alone. When I ordered I asked for modifications. I swear, it wasn't even 5 minutes later, and then the food came out? I was really shocked at that! BIG red flag. The food appeared to be authentically made, but something was amiss. On my bill, I was mis-charged with regards to an extra side I ordered. There were about 4 different waiters at my table, and they spoke so fast, no one slowed down for me to actually ASK a question. I didn't like the 4-5 people, I just like having the same person the whole time. When I left, I gave the waitress a bill and she said, "everything okay, no change?" Wow! I mean how greedy! I'm not going to tip you $4, no way! English folks typically don't tip, so how's that. What did the person do that deserved a tip? I was definitely treated like a transaction, and not a person. I was shuffled in and out in UNDER AN HOUR. I am used to dining in at a 'nice place' for at least 1 hour or more. What a waste.

Seriously, this is just the best Thai restaurant. Amazing food, even more amazing prices, and fast, friendly service. They have a great variety on their menu - noodle dishes, curries, soups, and some really amazing appetizers. I highly recommend the massuman curry. It's quiet enough inside that you can chat over your meal, or if you prefer, you can always people watch on Alberta.

Thai Noon is a good choice for vegetarians. Very attractive interior. Delicious food with fresh vegetables. Reasonable prices. It seems to be popular with locals - a lively gathering when we were there.

I love the quality of the food. The service gets slow when crowded, but there are lots of tables and space to wait for eat-in or take-out.

We used to get take-out from Thai Noon all the time. But as someone else already noted, we always get food borne illnesses afterwards. It is a shame since the staff is friendly and the service is generally good. But it is just not worth going there if the next morning is filled with misery in the bathroom.

Started with refreshing mango juice. Egg rolls are super tasty. I had the Rama garden, medium spice. It was perfect. Sticky rice for dessert was also delicious. Service is prompt and friendly.

Just recently returned to the USA from 6 months in SE Asia, including 3 mos. in Thailand. This place is the real deal. Food is awesome, dishes are huge, and price is right. What more could you ask. Especially, love their Spicy Eggplant Chicken. Yummmm.

we wanted thai food for lunch last saturday, and returned to thai noon...i began with a pbr, and my partner had a mai tai...yum....we shared an order of salad rolls with tofu...delicious...love the sauce....i had the organic veggie delight with organic brown rice, and she had the pad see ew with tofu....the food was so tasty...the servers are always friendly and efficient...we love it!

It's hard to compare thai restaurants in this town because there are so many. My roommate happens to work at this one, so I went there with my boy. We shared a duck curry between us and it was delicious and more than adequate food. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but if you're in the neighbourhood and have a hankering for Thai, you will not be disappointed.

I loved this place! I am from Louisiana, and I was visiting a friend. She took me to this place, and I loved it! A great place! I loved the open doors on the side that let the fresh air in the place! Overall, a very laid back family place with great food! Loved it!

KILLER Thai food... I especially love their pineapple fried rice!

The busses were late because of snowy streets, we were cold from the wait, as we were almost to our hotel, we jumped off at the next stop. The Tom Kai came quickly, spring rolls followed. Ahh! Yes

Been there a dozen times….every time is been a hit…..no question with service and food selection or quality. We went there with the entire family to celebrate Father’s Day and it was just delightful. Menu items were great and food serving and quality was just wonderful. Food was well prepared and garnished well. Service was awesome….one of the best places in Portland for good Thai places.

we returned to thai noon for lunch...i had a pbr, and my partner had a cocktail...i had the veggie delight stir fry with organic brown rice and organic veggies/tofu...she had the same but with sweet and sour..the food is delicious and the staff excellent..thx again...

we returned for dinner with a friend last night had a fun time...i had a pbr, and my partner had a thai chocolate cocktail...our friend had a chardonnay....next we shared salad rolls, yummy....our friend had fried wontons....he like them...i had the veggie delight with organic brown rice, and organic veggies, plus tofu....she had pad thai with shrimp...our friend had avocado curry with jasmin rice and pork...he was happy with that too...the food was superb, and the staff is very friendly and quick..thx so much

We have been enjoying Thai Noon weekly for more than a year and we are great fans of Thai food. Menu has many excellent selections that never disappoint. Fast service, beautiful presentation and huge Martinis (a little dirty so ask for dry).

The food is always good and the servings are big! Can't go wrong with the classics. I can't wait to go back and try something new!

Anyone who has ever been to Portland knows that Portland is filled with Thai food restaurants and food carts. Thai Noon stands out among Portland's Thai food. Not only is it well made, but they have all the standards and unique fare also. Highly recommend.

We went to Thai Noon on a Sunday evening, and it was very busy. However, despite the wait the service was very friendly. We had the sweet & sour stir fry and the pad kee mao, and both were delicious. We would definitely return here again.

If u want aroma, flavor Thai food that is cooked fresh and light....this is the place to go. They serve quite fast after you order. We have eaten here 4 times now and every time we had a good experience. On a summer night like today, we sat by the garage door and it was open, it is really nice to sit and eat right on Alberta St. food is great.... not much else to say

We just happened to go to Thai Noon while visiting Portland and it turned out to be excellent! If you're in the neighborhood, definitely check it out.

We moved to neighborhood recently and have had lunch carry out twice now. The online ordering is simple, explicit and easy to navigate to get what you want. Extensive menu listings! Portions are generous, reasonably priced, well spiced and deliciously consistent. I had the Pad See Ew twice and loved it. Ready in 10 min! Could not be easier. I think we've found our go to Close by Thai restaurant on Alberta.

My wife and I had dinner here with another couple. We started off with a bottle of Pinot Grigio, which was good. We then ordered their chicken salad rolls that were actually quite boring. We than ordered the following, which we ate and shared Thai style: Sweet & Sour Pork, Pad Thai Chicken, Rama Garden Chicken, and Crab Fried Rice. We thought that all of the food was lacking the proper Thai spices and was very boring. Would not recommend this restaurant, as this is not a high quality Thai restaurant.

Always consistent and pretty consistently hot food. Medium is pretty intense, you've been warned. I had the pumpkin curry chicken medium last time and it was tasty and well cooked. Standards like pad thai and drunken noodles are done well. Service is friendly and quick.

Delicious Tom Yum with lotsa spicy broth and veggies. Generous portion too! Ate it 3 evenings in a row. Quick service too.

Hearty and good food. Quick service and good set if you skip the atmosphere and tables canteen style. American music too loud.
Dinner with my love
Wow! We r surprised how good this place is. We wanted to grab a bite before we hooked up with some friends for drinks at the Station and happened to stumble her. I am very glad we did because everyone we ordered was unique and scrumptious. Very different than other Thai restaurants. Very mild but has the aroma of northern Thai food. Highly recommend
