Simple setting with nice soft lighting. Tried the sour beer, wasn't a fan but the others were spot on. Nice staff that was very helpful with selections

Happy hour and dinner

We were greeted by Ashley who was such a sweet and kind server. We felt very welcome and she told us about the wine available and offered suggestions on food. We decided on the fish and chips which was good. Came with 4 nice pieces of fish and a mess of fries. My friend got the chicken strips , real breaded chicken filet not indistinguishable nuggets. Unfortunately the chicken was over cooked and just too tough. Ashley offered to get another order but we had finished the other food and felt full enough. She apologized and felt badly but it was NOT her fault at all. The chicken was a nice it has just been over cooked. Ashley's service made all the difference and we will return again.

good beer, good music

Went on August 20, 2014, for three gigs. Really good music, total local scene. 21 taps to chose from. Good beers. Totally recommended! Small pub menu, but didnt try.

Loved the live music here! The performance room is intimate and had great acoustics. Highly recommend stopping by and checking out the talent. FYI: Some shows are free and others have covers.

we hadn't been back since the remodel, but finally did yesterday...i had the rolling rock dollar promo, and my partner had a kentucky cocktail with maker's mark in a copper cup...that hit the spot...we shared a punchbowl salad, fish tacos, and the chickpea sandwich... the food was excellent...the environment was nice and relaxing with great music and football in the backround...the big room with the screen looks great, as does the patio...thx

Best cocktails in town

The bartenders are awesome. Fresh fruit, herbs and they even made cocktails with smoke....smoked Rosemary, yum. Favorite bar in Portland. Leave the pub and walk across the street and admire the tiny houses.

Chill bar scene, typical bar food

We stopped by the first night we got into Portland and it was a pretty chill vibe. Super laid back bar, nice staff, typical bar food. Get their fries - hand cut potatoes and perfectly fried!

Small Bar / Great Food / Good Music

By December C |

This bar got a facelift when new owners took over a few years ago. It is very cozy. A great bar menu. There is a separate room for music and events. The music room is a great space to experience some of Portland's best bands in an up-close environment.

Just happened to drop by

This is a true neighborhood establishment. We checked out a couple of restaurants close by & opted for this one because it looked more user friendly than the others. Nice people working there & the food was excellent. I had the pesto grilled cod on fried polenta with a mound of sautéed arugula on top. Beautifully presented & quite a delightful surprise considering beer of many different types is their big draw.

Live Music

Went here to hear a friend of mine perform. The music room was nice enough but I was amazed that they don't provide service in this part of their venue. If you want food or drinks, you have to go get it yourself. I was told by a local that they have so many customers they really don't need to provide service. I still find this amazing but if it works for them, they must be doing something right! The margarita I ordered was okay but nothing special. Would only return as a favor to a musician.
