No sodas available (bar only and bar not open in the am). No coffee mugs, no bowls for fruit. Not clean - dirty floor with LOTS of dirty glasses stacked on/near the bar. This is AFTER making an effort to get to Centurion where my wife has a complimentary pass as opposed to the Delta lounge where it’s an extra $50. The marketing of establishments like this, IMO, constitutes to have an ever-widening gap as compared to the actual operations. I guess if one treats these establishments as tourist amenities then there will always be another wave of new customers- thus no need to attract repeat business. The lack of any sense of urgency in cleaning or stocking the food/beverages/utensils reminds me of the TSA. I’m pretty sure the TSA and Centurion Lounge pull from the same labor pool. Congratulations on their DEI!

Rude, condescending bartender. Surprised I couldn’t get a Bloody Mary and then surprised again when I asked for a Heineken but was told my choices were just two offerings. She didn’t offer what was on tap. Very quiet to point out the ‘rules’ of ordering. I was a bartender in another life and this crew is weak!!!

The Atlanta Centurion Lounge is so beautiful, isn’t it amazing how poor the reviews are? Whoever is managing the operations of this place should be fired along with every person there. The attitude and arrogance of the agents working the check in desk is INSANE. Two agents were just checking someone in so I walked up to the one who was open she GLARED AT ME and angrily said — you don’t walk up here until I call you to come up here you wait back there. I said - is there someone ahead of me? I don’t see anyone? She said IM BUSY and was super irritated. There was nobody in line. When her colleague was available she also had an attitude. Do they know how much we spend to use the lounge? To be treated like I’m checking into Spirit airlines??? Any other centurion I’ve been to has had the nicest staff. Not Atlanta!!!! They will treat you like they are above you and will use that disgusting brand of attitude that we all know should not be tolerated. I was excited to show my guest the terrace - too bad it was closed with broken glass and no work being done on it. The food here is the same greasy unhealthy slop that they have been serving since day one. Whata joke! Absolutely disgraceful. Go try the food at the Philadelphia Centurion lounge. Might be small but the menu changes weekly pretty much and everyone is kind and appreciative there. I can’t believe they figured out a way to ruin this beautiful space with the worst workers at the front desk and the absolute worst food. Pics below are of the RUDE staff.

The personnel is very rude in letting you know that it is forbidden to sleep in the lounge. The only reason I came to the lounge was to get some sleep after a red eye flight. I can pay for my own food. Sleep, on the other hand, is priceless…but I guess only MasterCard understands that. I will be canceling my Amex Card as of today and never come back.

I have been here many times when I connect through ATL and it is showing its age (bathroom) and the food is repetive and average. I waited 15 minutes just to get inside (ID required to enter) and then the bartender required only me of all at the bar to show my ID and did not even examine it. I go because I qualify through my AMEX card and I would not pay extra to go to this lounge. I will try the Delta lounge next time.

I had high expectations for this lounge however that quickly was squashed. This place was absolutely nasty. There was old dried food on the tables, sugary rings on tables, it was almost too packed to move, dogs laying on the chairs. It was just a total disappointment. Hopefully this isn’t what the Amex Centurion lounge has came to. I won’t be back.

I have been to many Centurion lounges coast to coast and I have never felt uncomfortable or unwelcome until I visited the lounge in Atlanta. It started out with a stern lecture at 6 am from a gentleman informing us to not fall asleep, remove your shoes or basically get comfortable. We were not in the lounge long before they started making announcements reiterating the same rules repeatedly. I paid for two guest and we immediately felt so uncomfortable that we left. I pay a lot of money for the privilege to enter the lounge and shouldn't have to feel like an unwanted guest.

This long anticipated lounge is decorated in a soothing style. But the capacity is too limited for the typical usage. Therefore seating is difficult to find. Food offerings are tucked away in an area hard for visitors to move through efficiently. Delta has a SkyClub that is has clearly perfected over many years and the positive differences make it a superior offering if one has the opportunity to use it instead. Check in to Centurion requires 3 pieces of identification, which also slows the process, to the detriment of the passenger with undoubtedly full arms.

I just watched a cockroach run across the lounge and up some dudes leg. I told an employee that was standing nearby and she tried to tell me that it was a waterbug (?) and that it was not a problem. Ma'am. It was a three inch long bug and it sprinted across the lounge. That is unsanitary. Even if it was "not a cockroach" as she claimed (it absolutely was), there should not be giant bugs in an airport lounge. Enter (and eat) at your own risk.

Beautiful space with outdoor gardens. Perhaps most beautiful airport lounge anywhere! Space was wiped out for food and water. A must visit!

We have enjoyed the Centurian Lounge at Heathrow several times and consider it a favourite. With that in mind we looked forward to spending time in the new Centurian Lounge at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson. You would never know this was part of the same chain as the one at Heathrow. It was dreadful. The one good thing I can say is that the front desk service was courteous and professional but that is where the good news ends. The main room looks like a tacky, over-lit hotel lobby and was filthy. We hard a hard time finding seating either indoors or outdoors as any unoccupied tables were dirty with leftover plates and glasses. The table surfaces all looked smudged and as though hadn't been wiped down in days. We almost walked out but given our limited time we decided to try and make the best of it. The food was sub-par with not many options. Food tasted okay but was lukewarm. It certainly wasn't fresh. Bar service was silly. If you go to get a drink for yourself and your travel campanion, good luck. You are only allowed to be served one drink at a time so whomever you travel with, they will have to make their own trip to the bar. I'll try and end with a positive that at least the restrooms were spacious and clean. But if there are other lounges to choose from before your flight, you might want to avoid this one.

Dirty bathrooms and nasty staff! Steer clear of this place. Food sub par. Place looks nice but cant make up for bad service. You cannot sleep here. Worst centurion lounge hands down! Do better Amex!!!! All you need to do is make people feel welcome!!! You have failed in the ATL :(

Good drinks. Food absolute garbage. Whiskey Bar top notch. Great staff. Food very disappointing. Shouldn’t be that hard to have a great food experience in the largest centurion lounge In the busiest airport in the world. Shame on the culinary team.

Decor is beautiful however that is about all that is positive. When you first walk in the smell of wet mop is overwhelming. The food is underwhelming. Holiday inn free breakfast vibes. The staff were nice and friendly. Considering you need the high membership fee cards to enter, I wouldn’t take the extra train trip to get here. F lounge is perfectly fine.

It really feels like the staff of this lounge are trying to make the patrons have a bad time. When you arrive it is assumed that you don’t have what you need to get in, they almost seem disappointed when they can’t turn you away. The bartenders are trying not to serve you drinks - I am 48 and was carded for a glass of Rose. The cleaning staff is constantly trying to take away obviously unfinished drinks and food. The drinkware often looks dirty and the food is very medium. I understand it is crowded and travelers are probably rude but you work in a lounge that people spend $$$ to access. Don’t act like you are doing us a favor. This has not been my experience at other Centurion Lounges in LAS, SFO or SEA.

Piles and piles of dirty dishes everywhere. I have been in the lounge 45 minutes and am only now seeing one person bussing tables. Then, ironically, when I stepped away for 30 seconds, they took my wine which I was still drinking. Bartenders were completely unfriendly. Far cry from the Sky Lounge in B that I visited on my outbound journey which was spotless, had good food options, and staff were delightful.

Mostly good. Wait times are too long and too often. Check in process is a bit wonky. And they check your I.D. then so why not come up with a system where you don’t have to show it EVERY time you order a drink also. Slows everything down. Whiskey bar is generally really good. But this time, ordered one of the 4 featured drinks and they couldn’t make it because they were out of cognac. Uh, hello? Bar manager falling down on the job checking stock? Here’s a thought. Send somebody to the store to buy some. Waiting on the delivery truck is very predictable and lazy. Food is surprisingly uninspired even compared to Delta Sky Club. Buffalo cauliflower for a main?? I realize it’s not a restaurant and these are all first world problems. But it’s a global company running this place, selling a supposedly premium product at a definite premium price. I’m paying the premium price, now give me a premium product.

Very disappointed. This is supposed to be a lounge with above standard service and options, but I have received better service in the regular Delta Sky Lounges. I was in this lounge for 3 hours, and found the snack bars were all left mostly empty for 2 hours, and only restocked when I asked 4 times for someone to add items. When the person did bring the cart out, she saw people waiting and went back into the kitchen and did not come back out until someone else went to get her, and was rude to the two people who asked her politely if they could have a specific item from the cart. I also saw empty chairs/side tables with the same dirty dishes left for over an hour. Not what I expected from a supposed top tier airport lounge. On the positive, it was relatively quiet and the decor was nice. I had high hopes when I walked in based on that. The bartenders were on top of it. The hot food buffet seemed to be well stocked, but I didn’t eat from it (food looked good though). I think the lounge has potential, but there is still much improvement needed. I’ll be going back to the standard lounges rather than this one.

Feedback on Recent Visit I hope this message finds you well. I recently visited the Centurion Lounge in Atlanta and wanted to share my experience. While at the bar area, I noticed that three customers before me were not asked for identification. However, when it was my turn, I was requested to show my ID. I promptly went to retrieve it and presented it to the bartender, but she seemed disinterested in checking it. This inconsistency in service was disappointing and detracted from my overall experience. I appreciate the need for ID checks for safety and compliance, but I believe it should be applied uniformly to all costumers. Best regards,

This Amex Centurion Lounge at Atlanta ATL Terminal E by Gate 11, has just opened this morning (Feb 14, 2024), I think at 6am, when we flew in from Buenos Aires, to change flight home. As we flew into Atlanta to change flight, we’re treated to their newest Centurion Lounge that just opened that moment. The place is huge, easily double the space to other centurion lounges. A gentleman in suit showed me around – thank you. They’ve two outdoor terraces, one whisky bar with 34 (?) American whiskeys. Chef Deborah Vantrece curates nice layouts, from fruits to bakery to sausage … my most favorite is the pinkish cheese grit with a hint of spicy – the most delicious grit I’ve had 😘 salty and spicy The decor is modern. With green-wall at the entrance, to books and luggage to enclosed meeting spaces. Staff are fresh, friendly and energetic – do keep it up. The only speck is the lacking of tea spoons – love their utensils by the way. “No worry,” I told the gentleman: the cruise ships use regular spoons for their desserts – is this the trend or what? The shower has 15 minutes limit. It’s a sunny day and I got a few sunrise videos and pix, before they put down the shades.

The good - Plenty of varied spread-out space for dining, drinks, fresh air, or finding a quiet corner. Tidy restrooms. Really, the best part was the open air spaces. The not so good - While the staff near the food and bar were kind and attentive, there were not many. This made for long lines and slow service. Glasses and plates were chipped. Some areas can feel very crowded with the combination of lines and seating overlapping. Biggest turn off for me was the checkin. According to the desk agent I did not appear happy enough and he felt the need to comment on it multiple times. It’s not really worthwhile to go out of your way to visit this one.

The brand new Centurion lounge at Atlanta Airport (Terminal E - close to Gate 11) was a great visit berfore our familys evening flight from International terminal. Even though that there were quite a lot of people you could find a spot to stay and have nice dinner. Food (with a good variety and quality) was provided with many different stations and the stations were filled with new food rapidly. The Olive tree, whiskey bar and beautful tearrces (that were unfortunately closed due to storm) will probably be very popular in the future. There were a lot of staff that was also wiling to communicate with customers. Really liked my stay there.

I had a couple hours during my ATL layover and took the opportunity to check out the new Centurion Lounge. The first pleasant surprise was that there was no line and I could access the lounge immediately. Staff was friendly during check in. The food seemed like most other Centurions except with some local flavor. The chicken thighs were fresh and tasted good. Mac and Cheese and Greens were tasty as well. Another station had salad fixings and cold cuts. Plenty of drink areas and bars. Unfortunately, you still have to go to a bartender to get a soft drink. All in all a good lounge with ok way of room and open seats…at least for now. Next stop is Austin where I’ll take in the Chase Sapphire Lounge.

Not sure why so many critical reviews. Came at around 6:30PPM on a Wednesday and no wait to get in, plenty of seats, good food, great drinks. Maybe I just got lucky but extremely pleased with the facility and the service. NOTE it is behind Gate E11 tucked away in a corner.

not worth the hype. mediore food and unfriendly staff. The Terrace is nice and the space is huge, but otherwise the overall experience is not great

A huge shout-out to Maisha, the bartender at the ATL Centurion Lounge, who absolutely made my morning. From the moment I sat down, she was welcoming, kind, and wonderfully attentive. Her knowledge of the menu and her thoughtful, creative suggestions for cocktails, wine, and food were spot-on—and delivered with such genuine warmth that it elevated the entire experience. Maisha’s enthusiasm and care truly stand out. She has that rare ability to make you feel both relaxed and well taken care of, and it’s clear she’s a real asset to the Centurion Lounge team. Also worth celebrating: the avocado toast bar and the coconut blueberry overnight oats—both were fresh, delicious, and perfectly balanced. A fantastic start to the day, made even better by exceptional service. My only complaint is that the exterior terrace has been closed for way too long Thank you, Maisha, for turning a quick lounge visit into a memorable experience.

We were excited to go to the Centurion Lounge in Atlanta. We have been to several others and had excellent experiences & great food. When we checked in the girl at the desk seemed off. She was checking us in & seemed confused & took a long time. She then asked if we had everything we needed. We thought this odd since she was in possession of my credit card. The lounge was busy and there were few open seats. I went up to get us drinks the line up was long. I asked the bartender what type of white wine they had, he sad Pinot Grigio & Chardonnay. Then he asked me for my ID, I said really I'm 62. He also would only give me 1 drink & told me I had to stand in line again. My wife went & got her own drink & didn't have her purse so she had to come back get ID and stand in line again. She was asking the bartender questions so he gave her a small pour. My wife told me she was having Sauvignon blanc. I think the bartenders should have more knowledge about what they are serving & be less obsessed with ID. That killed the vibe so we went to the Delta Lounge. This was our first and last visit to this lounge. Too much attitude & bad service. From the previous reviews I see the slow & bad service is quite common.

OMG the crowd was a friggin MOB! There were people everywhere. Forget about ordering a drink at the bar! It’s complete madness. Huge disappointment. The agent at the check in desk was rude. Sorry I didn’t get her name. She kept asking me for my previous flight. I showed her my pass and she said she couldn’t see it because it was cut off. I could clearly see San Diego to Atlanta! Then she mumbled “I’m doing my job”. She’s not wrong but ugh , so unpleasant. I quickly left and went to the Delta lounge, F concourse. What a difference! Everyone there is welcoming . I’m going to skip Centurion from now on. Not worth it.

The lounge is new and huge and has a cocktail bar and separate whisky corner serving a wide range of drinks. However whisky is limited to American whisky and no scotch is provided. Food choices are very limited and quality is so so. The lounge is very crowded but we have black card to avoid the line for check-in, so they led us to a private room specifically for Centurion members. The room itself is not big but the good thing is it is much more quiet and not crowded compared to outside and it has an individual terrace. The bad thing it doesn’t have a private food corner so you need to go out and get the food yourself with others. No premium drinks or alcohol are served in Centurion private room also so it makes me a bit disappointed that Amex should keep their lounge up to high standard especially for Centurion members.

OMG the only reason I gave one out of five is because how sweet the lady was at the front desk. I was in the same airport Atlanta about six weeks ago and the lady at the front desk said if I didn’t have the physical card she couldn’t let me in. We went to the Delta sky club and had a great experience. We came back with the card this time. The lady said I brought the wrong card, but if I went to the AMEX app I could get a code that she needed. Well why didn’t the last lady say that? So that lady was very sweet. We got everything taken care of. We got in. I got to the bar. The lady looked at me about 20 seconds without saying a word. I finally said I’ll take a drink. She very short sarcastically said oh hello may I help you may I take your order. Well I just ordered so I ordered again and she was very rude. The food was all right, but not a lot to choose from. The atmosphere was seven out of 10. So not bad. I would say unless they do a major staff changing. I will probably just stick with the Dallas sky club better selection of food and I’m nicer staff. I also pay for my wife to come with me for an experience and MX to get my money back, it was so bad

We entered the lounge at about 9:00pm. Dirty dishes on almost all tables. Trash on floor. Used towels on floor of bathroom, empty soap dispensers, dirty bathroom floors. We turned around and left, went to Delta lounge.

Nicest lounge so far. Great layout, huge, and even has a outdoor area (though it was under construction today) Breakfasts food was good and it was very comfortable.

Disappointing - I get these may be growing pains, but I wanted to point out a few areas that could be improved: - "mains" hot buffet had one protein selection: chicken. It was some sort of mediterranean style, but lacked seasoning and tasted gamey. Didn't finish what I chose and resorted to hummus and pimento cheese from salad buffet. - no self-serve coke/soda station means anyone who wants a coke must wait at bar, slowing service for all by lumping those seeking adult beverages with those seeking just a Sprite or OJ - desserts? What desserts... both times we checked the station (over a 3.5hr period), we found the station empty except for fruit selections - through the lounge twice in one week and both times the "self serve smoothie station" wasn't set up. - ordered an Old Fashioned cocktail and received something muddy and blech. Left it alone and got a glass of wine instead. I never thought I'd say this, but the SkyClub (esp. in F, E, & B in that order) is currently a better alternative. Step up AmEx. Please. There's plenty of potential here for a great club. The handling of soda and quality of food kills it.

Centurion clubs have steadily nose dived in quality after the first year or so of opening. What used to be a nice escape from the airport hustle can now be compared to a busy Luby’s cafeteria. Long line for access, almost impossible to find more than 1 seat together for travel companions (impossible for even a group of 3 most of the time). Amex please increase the standards for access or expand and improve your clubs for the additional load. Limit Delta access on peak times or maybe even a reservation system? Something needs to happen. Almost witnessed a fight behind the bar in ATL tonight. It was not a good scene at all. Way more people here than the staff could effectively handle. Buffets not stocked, food quality suffered. It’s not the premium offering it is billed to be. I’ve almost given up on even attempting to stop in the clubs because of all these issues.

Having visited the Atlanta Centurion lounge regularly since its opening, I was surprised at how poor and sparse the food offerings were on a recent visit. There were only two (forgettable) warm entrees during lunch time, a chicken dish and root vegetables, when there usually would be four options. The food vendor seems to be expert at creating dishes which are bland and forgettable, which no one would want to return to have a second helping. Staff were friendlier when the lounge opened, they seem rushed and harried now. I was barked at by one staff member while I was lining up at the buffet, when she could have easily moved around me.

The counter woman demanded a card from each party, knowing well that the card holder could bring in a guest. I’m a Platinum card hold and she’s not only on the card but also my wife. The female refused and instead as for $50 payment cash.

Beautiful interior furnishings and layout. Bar is nice, but service speed seems slow compared to the Delta clubs. However, bar speed is not why I rate this club low. It is the food. Put simply, this club has terrible food options and the food has been substandard since the day the club. No other AMEX clubs deliver such poor selections. They need to end the contract with Deborah VanTrece and pick a chef that can provide a more diverse menu. When in Atlanta the Delta Clubs provide a much better dining experience even if the accommodations are more worn and not as nice.

The food was subpar, expected more kid friendly options some gold fish or trail mix cracker, etc. is standard most lounges I visit. Why was there no casual dinning options, just chicken breast slithers w 8 salads and potatoes.. More dinner offering at lunch. No kids lounge w toys or books which was an issue as I travel w my tot often, there was one rm avail the worker pointed me to-tots are busy!! Staff were friendly, bar tender was very helpful and patient. I was underwhelmed compared to my usual experience. If I can’t take a snack to go in a zip lock for $30 I feel a way!!! Paid $30 for a toddler to eat a cookie and drink super sweet juice!!! Do better atl….

Whiskey bar =10 Nice drinks and friendly service. Food =2 Choices lacking and quality meh. Tables were being bussed which is a good thing. The buffet is a joke. Teeny plates and items not restocked as they empty. Only 1 protein (dark meat chicken). Salads, potatoes. Sorely lacking. Take a lesson from Charlotte which is much better. Haven’t been to many others.

Large room, clean, very well decorated with many comfortable armchairs and televisions in various different environments. We used during the evening period and tasted from dinner, the food was delicious and for those who like a little pepper and well seasoned food, will love. The buffet was not very variable but the food was fresh and everything was changed quite often. From dessert I picked up a strawberry cake that was divine. The staff passes by cleaning everything at all times, taking dishes and the tables are always clean. I loved the period we stayed here during a connection to LAX.

This much hyped “lounge” is (sorry to say) just downright disgusting! Who could imagine? The food was all picked over, floors and seating so dirty that it wasn’t healthy to be in there. They need to sit Clorox wipes out if they are not going to practice even the most basic hygiene. Lines to get in, lines at the bar - kids running around. A zoo. Very low class atmosphere and I eventually left - went to a Delta SkyClub which was so much better. AMEX should be embarrassed - so should Delta because the airline is promoting this hole of a lounge as part of their AMEX Reserve credit card offering. Don’t waste your time going to Concourse E to find this place. Shockingly bad.

Only one working coffee machine. Food not restocked quickly. No tea bags. Two food station fridges not working. Men’s bathroom had broken toilets.

I’m not sure why people keep giving this bad reviews. We came on a Sunday evening around dinner time. We had to wait for about 15 minutes to enter as they said it was “very cozy inside.” When we entered it was less crowded than any Delta Lounge visit we’ve ever had. Drinks were better, dinner sized plates with great food. Drinks much better than Delta lounge and everything is included, which was nice!

Delta Sky Club is better. Disappointed overall with the Centurion Lounge in ATL. Food quality is poor, many items not restocked, (including forks), slow service to remove used glasses, not enough lounge areas. Disappointing I paid for my kids to come here instead of Delta Sky Club

AMAZING!! Views and food are wonderful! Very nice place to relax before or after flight I come here quite frequently when traveling definitely recommend for solo travelers or small families with preteens or teens!

If you have to pay to get in, don’t waste your money or go to a delta sky club lounge instead. The environment, natural light, and decor are beautiful! However, the food options and quality were lacking. The check in staff and main bar staff were rude and made you feel as though you were bothering them when completing the check in process or asking for a drink. While it is a pretty open bar, I would rather have a delta sky club experience. Really wish they could get the food and service up to par with the environment.

This is the worst lounge I have ever been to. And I have been to dozens of lounges all over the world. The staff were unfriendly and the wait was ungodly. I had a long connection but I almost missed my flight.

Check in staff were very unfriendly. They do not belong in that position. The staff throughout the lounge were similar. Not very warm or friendly. The bartenders were more interested in chatting with one another rather than serving the long line of customers. If you just want a soda, you have to wait in a long line for the bar. The bartenders have no interest in keeping the line going. Hard pass on this place.

Place is gross.. Mystery meat being served. So bad they actually pulled it off the buffet. Bar smells like old beer Rude staff they seem miserable Piss all over the bathrooms. Worst looking on their system.. and it has such potential

This was my second visit to the Centurion Lounge in Atlanta. My first took place about 6 weeks after it opened. At that time I was favorably impressed by the lounge's spaciousness, indoor and outdoor seating, beautiful decor (including a live tree!), and plentiful breakfast options, though food quality was average. The experience at this recent visit was less satisfactory. To be fair, I didn't mind the line at 6:00 AM when the lounge opens; desk staff processed guests efficiently. However, food service was not optimal. A make-your-own avocado toast bar was a novel idea but fell down on execution (baguette slices weren't toasted and the crust was so tough that even metal knives couldn't cut through it). Pimento cheese grits sounded appealing but were tasteless. The expected scrambled eggs, potatoes, and breakfast meat weren't added to the buffet until 6:35. Coffee drinks from the machine were blah. I spent roughly an hour and during that time the lounge wasn't overcrowded, but it was disconcerting to keep hearing an announcement reminding guests not to put their feet on the furniture (?) and prohibiting sleeping. Other reviewers have made comparisons to the Delta SkyClubs. I patronize both. Again, to be fair: they enforce the same rules (entry limited to 3-hr window prior to flight departure time; show boarding pass and club ID, etc). Restrooms in both are spic and span in my experience. Overcrowding at busy times can be an issue at both. However, food options at breakfast are more diverse (vegetarian, gluten-free), more plentiful, and of better quality at Delta. Ditto goes for coffee. The bar is open early at both Centurion and SkyClub but I don't drink liquor in the morning so I can't address other reviewers' criticisms of bar service. Conclusion: ATL is my home airport. Because Delta now only allows most Amex Platinum cardholders 10 visits a year to SkyClubs, I will occasionally use the Atlanta Centurion lounge as a way to maximize my opportunity to access SkyClubs at other airports, though it takes longer to reach (Centurion is on Atlanta's Concourse E, whereas most Delta flights depart from Concourses T, A, and B). Currently, this particular Centurion facility needs improvement, especially considering the image of exclusivity and care for its cardholders that Amex cultivates but fails to deliver here.

The lounge is very nice, with a terrace and nice decor. Even though it was very crowded, we were able to find a spot. The food was good. There was a long line in the bar that I couldn’t make it to ask for a drink.

The quality of these lounges, and especially this one, are not premium despite the price (annual fees) and reputation they attempt to cultivate. To me, it boils down to quality of staff. While it is quite apparent everyone has been trained to smile, greet, and say the right things, the details are where the loss occurs. I hesitate to compare the lounge experience here, despite being quite new and lavishly decorated, with that of less "illustrious" or touted lounges in Asia that are much more comfortable. But it boils down to conscientiousness of employees, or lack thereof. Namely, tables are not cleaned, bathrooms are not spotless, and food is not premium. I can be ridiculed for saying all of this, but let's always keep in mind that the American Express brand attempts to sell itself as top shelf. Let me give some concrete examples: As I entered the restroom, an employee stood near the sinks looking at their phone. Meanwhile, the toilet paper was empty in the first stall I entered. Soapy water was all over the sink. Paper towels were overflowing in the trash. As I exited, an employee was entering who apparently was starting their shift, stuffing their shirt in and talking loudly to the other, idle employee. Finding a table would have been easier if they were cleared off quickly. I observed many employees but not much action from them. Sorry, but this is an honest review of a place that costs customers a lot of money. (Lounge access is the primary incentive for what amounts to ever increasing annual fees.)

Great experience at entrance, and the place is beautiful with outdoor spaces. That is 2 stars. No self-serve soda stations mean that kids and adults alike are lined up for one, sometimes 2 slow-moving bartenders to get a drink that isn’t coffee or water. Ridiculous and inefficient. Food is mediocre to just bad. It isn’t kept hot enough (I have been twice and the same issues happened both times). Dessert options aren’t even as nice as Delta Skyclub. They have to fix the soda and food situation. Do not recommend unless you can drink enough to make it worth your while, and that is unlikely given the state of the bar.

A Most Civilised Respite Amidst the Travails of Travel My dear readers, allow me to regale you with an account of a most curious and delightful sanctuary within the bustling confines of Atlanta’s airport—none other than the Amex Centurion Lounge. I must confess, the very notion of having to wield a charge card—a new-fangled contraption of modern finance—to gain admittance struck me as rather novel, if not a touch whimsical. However, once past this peculiar rite of passage, I was welcomed into a world of refinement most unexpected in such a setting. At the threshold, I was greeted by a most charming sight—an olive tree! A most gracious and poetic touch, standing as a symbol of peace and hospitality amidst the weary throngs of travelers. It was as though one had stumbled upon a Mediterranean courtyard rather than the depths of an airport, and I found myself quite enchanted by this arboreal ambassador of good taste. Within, the lounge was a study in quiet elegance, adorned with sleek black marble tables that shone like polished onyx. One could not help but feel a certain sense of dignity restored upon seating oneself at such a distinguished piece of furniture—indeed, it was a stark contrast to the plastic-laden indignities of the general terminal. The seating was plush, the lighting gentle, and the air infused with a sense of calm, as though the very walls conspired to shield one from the clamorous woes of modern air travel. And what of the refreshments? Ah, dear friends, they were most exquisite! A carefully curated selection of delectable fare, paired with libations both fortifying and refined. It was, in every sense, a most welcome rest-bite (as the harried traveler pronounces it) from the sheer chaos of my journey—one which had already been most vexingly delayed by that regrettable fire at Heathrow airfield. Indeed, after such a distressing ordeal, the solace of the Centurion Lounge was akin to stumbling upon an oasis in the desert, a beacon of civility amidst the tempest of travel. In sum, should you ever find yourself waylaid in Atlanta, brandishing the necessary charge card to enter, I implore you to seek out this fine establishment. It is a haven of tranquility, a fortress of refinement, and a most excellent antidote to the trials of transit. Yours in grateful repose, Lord Reginald Thistledown

Extremely overcrowded with mediocre food and service. TV’s set to Fox “News”. Great potential but needs a lot of improvement.

I visited this lounge two times within the last 12 days coming and going through Atlanta. Was very excited, hoping the lounge would be fantastic. And many aspects of it are. Really my only complaint would be the food. 12 days ago the offering was sumac chicken, sumac green beans, sumac cauliflower, along w mashed potatoes and a salad. Today, exactly the same menu. Eh.

I went to the AMEX Centurion Lounge after a red eye from LAX to Atlanta before boarding to my final destination. The welcome I received by the front desk/check-in was almost hostile. The 2 women at the counter didn't smile or direct me over. In fact, I felt like they looked at me like I was bothering them. The women who actually checked me in was curt and seemed annoyed. The space was beautiful. Loved the outdoor areas. The food was good for a lounge situation. There seemed to always be a line for the coffee and I was surprised to that there wasn't to go coffee cups. I was there early (7:30am) so there weren't a lot of people. It was getting more crowded by the time I left at 10am. The service was amazing, Always someone cleaning the floor and always had eyes on the coffee and food to make sure was stocked. I had changed my outbound flight and was stuck in a middle seat for my red eye. Needless to say, I was exhausted. The Centurion Lounge does NOT have areas to sleep. The best I could do was a computer seat in a corner. I would use the lounge again since it is free with a platinum card.

My husband and I are frequent travelers and typically visit the Delta Sky Club. We decided to try the Centurion Lounge as we had a longer layover. We read the reviews and were a little apprehensive. We traveled on a Tuesday (a slower -less busier travel day) and were very pleased with the venue. Ample seating. No wait to enter. Variation in food choices. Friendly associates and guest service personnel. Clean restrooms and shower rooms. We will definitely continue to frequent this lounge. If it’s busy-we’ll return to a less busier Sky Club 😉 problem solved!

Absolutely unacceptable wait. long wait time, slow service, poor food choice. let amex manage money and not lounges !!

I waited three years for the CL to finally come to Atlanta. I went four concourses out of my way to finally experience it. What I experienced was very disheartening. I flew on Thu, 11 Apr and visited the CL around 10:00am. Food had run out and other guests told me that they had been waiting for over ten minutes for food to come out of the kitchen. The plates were dirty as I had to check several before finding a clean one. There were no bowls anywhere. Food that was available was old and dried. I left and went to the SkyClub. I will not come back to this CL. AMEX should be embarrassed.

The bartenders near the main food area had attitudes and didn’t seem interested in serving people as the line built up. They were busy socializing with each other and when approached were curt and appeared to be bothered by my request. However, the staff who were cleaning up after people left were very helpful and friendly.

I don't want this to be interpreted as a critical or negative review. It is a beautiful lounge. The staff was friendly, helpful, and smiling. The food and beverages were good... but it was very crowded. Seating was a problem. We walked to the end and came all the way back to sit by the entrance. The buffet was on the opposite end. We did have a coffee machine and some juices at our end, but it was a little annoying given the size of the lounge. We were also able to see the line form and expand a few minutes after sitting down. I had never visited this lounge in the past because the lines were too long. It is much easier to get into one of the many Delta lounges here. We arrived before 8AM and there was no line at the Centurion Lounge, so we thought we'd try it. I wouldn't mind visiting again, but not when it is so crowded.

First the pros - it’s a new and well appointed space. The food is better than many airport clubs and of course there’s the faux exclusivity access via American Express Centurion. I had a nice visit with a light veggie snack and a solid glass of wine served up by an attentive member of the staff. The cons though are many. Like other Centurion clubs I’ve visited (or tried to) this club is overrun by customers. They’ve implemented a waitlist via an app that is flaky at best. There was a line outside just of people trying to get help in filling out the waitlist form. There is no feature in the app to forecast what the wait time might be…for me it was 20 minutes. Why did I wait? I made the trek from the United Airlines terminal after trying the United Club which was just very sad and I had time to kill. It seems that the Centurion clubs are a good idea that are suffering from their success (too many customers). At minimumit would be great to have a way to judge wait times.

Beautiful lounge. But also overly crowded and not able to service all the guests. Food is basic, not more than that. We found the lounge therefore definitly not meeting expectations. Would not go there again.

They have a three hour time constraint for admission. We were 45 minutes early and were refused entry. They were not remotely close to capacity. Sky Clubs have the same constraint, but wasn’t enforced. Not a great experience for first time Centurion Club users. Please use common sense in the future

I've been to the lounge 5 times since it opened and each time I am less impressed. On my last trip through ATL, I skipped it altogether, even though I had an exceptionally long layover. It's crowded, cramped, loud, and the food selection is subpar at best. The front desk staff is the only redeeming quality. Sure, it's "free", but still not worth it.

I really want Amex to take these reviews seriously. The food in Atlanta is sub par, the bartenders would rather socialize with patrons than fix drinks. They literally chat with each other vs work on servicing people in line. The food is atrocious compared to other lounges. They have tons of staff but they stand around vs refilling plates and Utensils. So disappointing.

This lounge has a private room for black card members and also has a terrace but the food selection wasn’t very big and the drink selection also wasn’t large.

I visited the Atlanta Centurion Lounge for a 3 hour layover during breakfast hours on a Wednesday. I thought the staff was courteous and the food selections were good for breakfast. I did not try the bar/alcoholic beverages during this visit. The lounge was busy but not crowded. It was exactly what I was looking for during that time of day.

The worst service I have ever received. Wences was the worst server/bartender I have ever seen in my life. He did not let me get a drink after my second “drink”. He was very rude and after I had a drink he said he could not serve me again even though it said that after 15 minutes you could serve every guest and he tried to tell me once an hour. Very rude and inconsiderate. I do not recommend this lounge to anyone who is looking to find a quick lounge for their next flight. Absolute joke of a lounge. Wences is the biggest joke of a bartender I’ve ever seen. Extremely rude and incosiderate.

Beautiful environment, horrible service. Responsible management needs to show up. Long lines, slow service, just watched two workers being inappropriately amorous behind the bar.
All looks…Sub par even for a lounge
Not the cleanest despite loads of staff. Also food is sub par, even for a lounge. WiFi is spotty and drops often depending on where you are in the lounge. Last gripe is I was surprised they chose a news channel that is quite political. Can’t you find something else? Animal planet? Paint drying on a wall? Anything?!
