Surprisingly Amazing

By Lauren H |

Came here with my husband and my parents. Sam’s Town doesn’t look like they’d have a great steakhouse but it sure goes to show don’t judge a book by its cover. Everything we had was phenomenal - steak, chimi sauce, mushrooms, creamed corn, creme brûlée. The cocktails were super fresh as well. My mom had the chicken, very big portion! I would highly recommend if in the area.

Bad service ruined entire meal😟

By OHIOKIM1968 |

Husband and I came at 7:30 and approached hostess had to give name and wait 15 minutes to be seated. Once seated the waitress Robyn took order 2 waters and steak dinners. Our drinks were not served for 20 minutes really unacceptable, drinks were served after our salads. Dinner was served 20 minutes later I had added shrimp with my steak which she forgot I had to tell her, $12 for 3 shrimp unbelievable. Steak dinner was very good thank goodness because she never came back to check on anything not even to refill our water. So frustrated by the end of meal it just makes ya mad. She had the nerve to come back and state everything was good then I then told her didn’t really matter if it was you never came back, she blamed being the only waitress there that was the problem I told her that’s not our problem but yours. Will not return here food good but service was not!

Dissapointed

By Djlobos |

Went to dinner here, thinking that we would treat o9urselves to a nice dinner while here. The ambiance was nice but that's where it ends. There were four of us, and three ordered lobster. We also ordered prime rib. Everything is a la carte. Service was very slow, and they were not busy. Had to ask for water or tea, as no one came to see what we wanted to drink. We ordered and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally it comes and the lobster is COLD. I mean ice box cold. Prime rib was luke warm, but tender. I asked for horseradish, and it finally came after I had finished my meat. For an expensive meal, I was not impressed.

cold dinner

By audrey b |

We were party of five Four ordered mothers day special I order prime rib and baked potato Every ones order arrived ice cold We told waitor and he offered to send back to kitchen Having already waited a long time we elected to take dinners home Never had a meal that was as cold as this one was. I realize it was mother's day but this was not an excuse

Great service and great food

By Steve B |

We found this place because we wanted to stay off the strip for the night. We were not disappointed and will go back for sure next time we are in town. The food was absolutely first class as well as the service. This steakhouse is about $50-$60 a person with appetizers and alcohol but make no mistake, it is well worth the money. Actually in my opinion it is a much better deal than most places in Vegas.

Excellent dinner!

By Bruce S |

Had oysters on the half shell, tomato & mozzarella salad, filet mignon, buttered asparagus, sautéed spinach, bourbon sweet potatoes, & creme broulet with Johnny Walker. Pricey, but VERY good, well presented by a very good wait staff. Brian & Debbie saw to our every need. We sat on the patio watching the fountains.

Anniversary Dinner

By ARPtak |

We heard about this place, it is fairly new so we decided to give it a try. We sat at the bar for a few drinks, bartender was very pleasant. We came into the dinning room about 30 early for our reservation, it was not a problem. We were seating in a high booth and that great for my husband's hearing. I found the music reminded me of a FM radio station, and lighting was a bid bright. The food was good, order 7oz filet and Steak Au Poivre. We discussed ordering a Caesar Salad, but decided to hold off, and then a Caesar Salad appeared at our table. I might go back since this place is fairly new to give it another try. Food was Good, my filet cut like butter.

Classy and reasonable

Excellent food and service. Go early for specials. Steaks were very tender and flavorful. Sit outside in gazebo area to see waterfall show.

Birthday Dinner

By suzannebG5744SR |

This restaurant is fantastic! Great food, excellent service. It is located within Sam's Town Casino next to a very nice waterfall.

The dishes are EXPENSIVE AND NO VARIETY AT ALL. It looks fancy, but looks are deceiving.

By valsetz |

Extremely expensive and the food is terrible. They don't have much variety. I ordered chicken, and that is what I got. Two pieces of chicken on top of each other, with gravy on the bottom. NO side dishes no salad or bread or anything to go with it,,I do not recommend this place at all, I would rather go without eating. My grandkids did not like the food, and they like just about everything.

SURPRISE!

By Poohss |

While I don’t care for the name of the place, the food was excellent.... service was excellent... made for a perfect dinner.

Great happy hour

By Cybear |

Beautiful restaurant. Prices very good. Ate outside in atrium of the hotel. Great happy hour. Wine and beer only $5.00. Service was great food was very good.

The meat was perfect

By Losgatosca |

This was a find...great location, very relaxing, outstanding service and perfectly chargrilled steaks...we shared with an appetizer and had lots of leftovers. Such a nice evening.

Great Food!!

By CindyARobin |

Excellent food, great atmosphere, Maverick, our server, was very enjoyable. Their Fried Chicken is brined in a savory buttermilk marinade, hand breaded, fried and served on a light bed sage Gravy. (It's the best chicken I've ever had.) The Flat Iron Pepper-Steak melts in your mouth. Loved the rock shrimp Appetizer too, it came with imported mild chili peppers. Delicious asparagus and monster size loaded baked potatoes. House Cabernet, very nice as well. Fresh baked dinner rolls ..mmmmm And, the prices are reasonable.. Yum!!

POOR SERVICE

By Dave B |

we ate here on Wed. night our server addressed everyone as " Hi Guys", we sat for 20 min with only water when our waiter showed up he said I will be right with you. about 10 min later he showed up and we gave our order. My water glass was empty and stayed that way throughout the meal. My salad arrived and I asked where our drinks were, he said I will get them when he came back he only had my drink, he then came back with my wife's in about 3 min. Dinner arrived, food was alright and he did ck back but never asked if I would like another beer and still ignored the fact that my water was empty. When we were done a busser removed our plates and Mr. "Hi Guys" brought the bill, the only time he was on top of things was when I signed the credit card slip, he could hardly wait to pick it up. I was in the restaurant business for almost 20 years, as an owner, I know what good service is ! I also know when a server doesn't care !

Local hangout

By Lvdish |

Great food. Great bartender. Great place for locals to meet at the Bar. A lot of regulars at the bar with Darryl. He must be doing something right. Give it a chance and you will not be disappointed. Michelle the manager is just incredible.

Food was good a little over priced.

By GunzUptactical |

I ordered the prime rib which was bone in and hand cut and it was very delicious. Appetizers we had oysters, the price was $15 for a half a dozen. This seems expensive to me. The entree is priced different from sides. The asparagus seemed fresh and the sweet potatoes was prepared well also. Wife had a salad and chocolate martini. And for dessert I had the creme brûlée (that was perfect) and the wife had a piece of their chocolate espresso layered cake. Total bill including tip was about 160 for two people. I probably would not return.

Date Night

By Ben S |

Had a fantastic evening with my wife. Atmosphere was nice and the food was excellent. Great place off the main strip where the crowds are not.

Awesome dinner

By Laurie K |

We had the early bird dinners, all of which were amazing. The food was perfectly prepared and the service was excellent. We would definitely recommend it.

So much more than the normal Sam's Town!

By JimmyChuck1948 |

Four of us ate here while staying at the hotel during our visit to the World of Concrete Show. The bartender told us about it while enjoying drinks at the waterfall, but it was new to us since our last visit. Everything we heard was true: It is now al-la-carte and with individual pricing it might be a little more expensive, but the food was delicious. One had salmon which he really enjoyed; another had the prime rib...boy that looked good; I had a New York steak which was terrific, and our leader had a mini-filet. The funny part of the story is our leader refers to the al-la-carte steak house as "steak on a plate" and that's exactly right. His order of a mini filet was a 'dollop' of meat in the middle of this large white plate! We laughed so hard, but the food was very good. We ordered various sides all of which were generous portions. Sure the meal added up to $55-60 dollars a piece, but the food was good, the service was good, and we were very pleased with our evening.

What do you mean there is a steak house on the east side?

By Joseph L |

A little over a year into business the transformed steak house sits inside of Sam's Town, formerly Willie and Jose's. It was a simple remodel a change to some color schemes and a bar addition I feel like they got the Ambiance just right. It's nestled into the park so there is a little bit of scenery with the sound of rushing water and I imagine it can get noisy during the show. It's modestly priced, so nothing is out of reach. I ordered the special which was a 10 Oz. Prime rib for only 17 dollars. It comes with your choice of house or Cesar salad, baked, mashed, or au gratin potato, and the vegetable of the day. Today was green beans. I feel like you get what you pay for. My cut was a little on the fatty side but it was still good. The meal was good. The horseradish sauce was creamy and on the mild side. The desert was a little flat but who needs desert anymore. With the sizes on the cuts you can eat for two, and the sides are just 6 dollars to add. It's a solid place to eat if you want to hang on the east side.

Great food!

By Jordan T |

Very good for a reasonable price. They make good drinks too! Maury was AWESOME and had great recommendations on what to get. Would highly recommend coming here.

Fantastic

By Barbara C |

This a place that I wouldn't have normally gone to eat but as I was going to a show at the casino I decided to try it and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the house steak which was a decent cut and came with a choice of potatoes or sweet potatoes and vegetables and also included a house salad. It was delicious, cooked perfectly and only cost $22.00! The service was attentive, prompt and friendly. The house wine is excellent and certainly worth drinking. Again, very reasonably priced. Of course there are more costly items on the menu but for what I wanted it was fantastic. I would wifi tell go back again.

Great food and Great service

By gambler g |

We dined here twice while staying at Sams. One night we ordered steak dinners, the second night we tried the burgers on the happy hour menu. Both times, the food was excellent. The portions are large and the food is well prepared. The restaurant is located in the atrium which makes for a pleasant atmosphere. It's a very nice place to eat.

Good food and service

By ann s |

Brand new restaurant in Sam's Town hotel casino. We had been disillusioned by Billy Bobs (turning into a barbecue place) for a while, so decided to try it. The kitchen was very busy, our meal was delayed somewhat, but the waiter gave me a larger steak than ordered at no extra charge to make up for that. Otherwise, service was excellent, the decor was great and my son enjoyed watching the kitchen staff. A little noisy, but not too much so. Steaks and sides were really good. We'll be back.

Good experience

By Leona C |

We dined here since they closed Billy Bob's. It's really nice and modern. We were able to sit outside and also watch the water show. Our waiter, Maury, was the best. He recommended we start out with the rock shrimp appetizer but my husband is allergic to seafood so he had the beef short ribs. Both were excellent. Maury then recommended the cleaver salad, and it was amazing! I had the Steak au Poivere and hubby had the filet mignon. My dish was delicious and the filet was cooked perfectly. For our sides, Maury raved about the bourbon smashed sweet potatoes and the creamed corn. Wow, we both loved the potatoes. It was outstanding. The creamed corn was good but no match against the potatoes. Maury was friendly, outgoing and very funny. His assistant was nice but when we ordered bottled water, she just brought the water out and put it on our table. We had to open the bottle and pour our own water. It wasn't like she was busy as the restaurant was only a third full. If not for that, it was a really nice meal and we will be back.

Loved it!!!

By burt1964 |

Absolutely fabulous evening. Exceptional service, delicious food and relaxing ambience. The prime rib was melt in your mouth. We highly recommend.

A Trip Highlight

By brontefan24 |

The Angry Butcher is not as homey as the previous steakhouse at Sam's Town, but dining there is still a treat. (I recommend the "outdoor" patio overlooking Mystic Falls Park.) The menu includes a variety of cuts of steak but also offers other options. (I had the cioppino, which was excellent.) Sides are a la carte, but they're large enough for at least two people to share. Desserts are huge (enough for three people to share). Prices are relatively high for Sam's Town, but I would much rather pay to dine at the Angry Butcher than eat at TGI Friday's. (My husband's "add-on" 8-ounce lobster tail was reasonably priced.) Service has been excellent the two times I've eaten here, and all of the food we've tried has been excellent. Unless you plan to dine early and on a weekday, be sure to make a reservation.

Disappointed

By MichaelinVegas |

This was our third time dining here. All of the other times were good. I understand people have off nights but this time was a bit much. Although our server was very nice, my water was never refilled, I mean never. The bread, although it had a beautiful presentation, was overcooked and dry. The creme brulee was cooked on one side of the plate, yet runny on the other. The worst part was my wife's salmon, she pulled out five pin bones. Five! She lined the up on the edge of the plate and showed them to the server. No apology, she just said something to the effect of "Wow, I can't believe that". She also never came back until we were finished. Had she come back sooner, we would have shown her the fish bones and could have rectified the problem. We weren't offered any kind of compensation. If it was one bone, that's bad. But five is ridiculous...

The Best!

By belgbl1 |

I go to the Angry Butcher as many times as I can while in Vegas! The food is amazing, the drinks, especially LEMON DROPS, are the best that I have ever had! The waiters are thoroughly entertaining. I request Maurey (unsure how he spells his name) because he has the most fun, caustic sense of humor. He starts off as the most professional of waiters, but once he catches on to the style of his patrons, watch out! I have never had a meal I didn't love.

FANTASTIC

By Jennie N |

Food is awesome, service is great, value for the money is worth it. Ambiance outstanding!! Our second time there and we were not disappointed. This is a must go for a great steak at a great value!!

First time here and last time here

By Cyndi H |

My husband ordered a medium steak and it came out literally raw. Waitress takes it back and half hour later, when I had nearly finished my meal, his 2nd steak came out raw again. A steakhouse huh? The assistant manager offered him a piece of cake to go to make up for him not having anything to eat. Poorly handled. We asked for the Manager, but after waiting 15 minutes he never showed up. Very poorly handled

Great Meal!

By Tara B |

Everything that was served was hot and delicious. Service was impeccable (thanks Carlos!) Family style sides, great appetizers. Guests of the hotel were tossing ice from the balcony into the restaurant... Not cool.

Friendly staff, lobster terrible

By swan2 |

We decided to try the new restaurant very disappointed in the meal. My lobster was absolutely terrible, the waiter brought the manager to the table and he agreed that it was not up to par and would speak with the chef. My husbands filet was so so, the baked potato was bad, the french onion soup was great. The manager took care of my lobster and bought me bread pudding, very thoughtful of him. The people are wonderful could have been just a bad night will think about going back.

No way

By Mutsch H |

There is no way you can eat all the steak you get at this place The English cut prime Is the best of all time Their hospitality and cleanliness are 5 star Quiet table by the samstown waterfalls makes for a great experience.

ok

By cruisegal58 |

Food was just ok. We had the sirloin dinner, mashed potatoes and salad for $22. Steak had quite a bit of fatty grissle, but it was ok. Salad was fine, had blanched green beans almondine, very tough. Most food is al la carte, we won't go back.

Do not eat the ribeye,

By Debbie C |

We ordered the rib eye bone in steak 22oz. First of all it is not a bone in rib eye. It is a rib steak not rib eye. I am a retired meat cutter, not much of a difference but when you pay $50 and you can not chew the steak something is wrong. We had great service and the mushroom ravioli was great, my husband who was sooo hungry chewed his way through half the steak so we tipped our waiter well, not his fault. Also if you eat half the steak I believe you should not return it, this restaurant has good food just keep away from the rib eye. It was horrible.

Love it!

By christym72 |

Food was great, service was great. Atmosphere nice. Average price of other steak houses. Would definitely eat here again if in the area.

Excellent, will be back

By Al Q |

Great service, great meal, great atmosphere. Reminds me of an old time Vegas steakhouse. Loved the entire meal from app, entries, to dessert.

Excellent!

By cm1998 |

Wow. Maury is absolutely wonderful! Seating on the patio was perfect - the kids loved the atmosphere. The bone-in ribeye (ordered medium) was perfectly cooked and paired well with the red wine sauce that Maury recommended. The macaroni and cheese side (with sautéed onions and bacon) was outstanding as was the cheesecake accompanied by whole strawberries. We no longer have to leave the property for a truly excellent meal!

Average at best

By dukegolfer |

We ate here during their nightly bar menu specials. We had a great table out on their inside patio. The atmosphere and service was great, but the food was disappointing. We did not order steaks or anything fancy. We all got their early bird specials which were still kind of pricy for what we got. The food was average at best.

Inedible garbage disguised as a steak.

By Ag H |

Have you ever chewed on a piece of rubber cut from a tire? That would be a good comparison with the piece of inedible garbage that they gave me when I ordered a steak.

Excellent menu Social Hour is great

By Goodfoot0227 |

We have eaten here about five times in the past six months. Service is always great, bartender usually does a generous pour. Last time I had the Mo burger $11, one of the best burgers I've eaten with a pesto sauce, goat cheese and a fried egg on a brioche bun! Delish. Also tried the Rock Shrimp with shishito pepper and sriracha sauce. Just a bit spicy due to the sriracha, we found the shishito to be like a more intense flavored green bell pepper. There were at least 8-10 (?) medium sized shrimp. My husband had the chili, $7, a wonderful surprise of intense chili taste with almost too much heat, but so good, he just kept eating it. We are pretty picky when it comes to spice, don't like to burn our lips but don't mind if our foreheads get a little sweaty! It is a nice place to relax, have a good meal, a delicious drink and take a break from the slot machines.

Great food, fantastic service!

By SanAn2nioTX |

We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary on July 19. Our server, Maury, was absolutely wonderful. He gave us suggestions for drinks, side dishes, dipping sauce for our scrumptious ribeye steaks, and dessert. He was attentive and he just made our special day memorable in every way! Thank you!

Good Food, Good Service

By MSV |

We stopped at Sam's Town to try something a little different and found The Angry Butcher. It's a good steakhouse and serves good food with good service in a nice atmosphere. Items are a la carte, but the baked potato is enough for three people to split! Bananas Foster Bread Pudding is wonderful!

Good food, good service, good time.

By Geo G |

I ordered the filet mignon medallions and the smashed sweet potatoes. Cooked perfectly and very tender. My spouse ordered the sirloin Oscar style, very tender and tasty. Mark, our server, was very attentive and pleasant. We'll go back.

Good service but...

By dpr0826 |

We were seduced by the 1200 degree oven for their steaks; expected something akin to Ruth’s Chris. My wife ordered a filet, medium and it came very rare. I ordered a New York, Medium Rare and got it medium-medium well. No flavor on either. Oysters Rockefeller average. Salads very good. Drinks average at best. Nice setting but disappointed in the meal.

Old Venue

By Masterdealer6 |

The Angry Butcher took the place of Billy-Bob's inside of Sam's Town Hotel & Casino. It's located in the old Willy & Jose's area. Gives you outside seating to see and HEAR the light show 2 pm 4pm 6 pm 8 pm and l0 pm. The side dishes are surprisingly good. The regular menu is ok. Cooked correctly, but nothing exceptional on menu. It's a little pricey for me. The wait staff from both of the other restaurants were kept so service is good.

Excellent eatery

By Clifford L |

Very nice steakhouse located in Sam's casino. With a reservation, we were seated immediately upon arrival. Service was just right. we did not feel rushed. Food was top notch. it was prepared just as requested.

Nice restaurant inside SAMs town

By Clarajean1229 |

Great steak, good service, nice ambience, a little to bright for my taste. Very convenient if staying in the hotel. Dress code could have been stepped up.

Best Burger

By halonhorns30 |

We were there for Social Hour. Had a buger with an egg and pesto goat cheese. Was delicious. Fresh. Tasty. Very good service. Good pricing.

Fabulous meal with great service!

By ArchieMYL |

When flying solo on a trip, I usually don't go for the high-end meals. Those are best experienced with friends & family. However, I had a bit of luck gambling so thought I would treat myself. Arrived early on a Wednesday, about 4:40 and was seated outside on their patio. Immediately I had a basket of rolls and class of water brought to the table. Good start. Waiter arrives and takes drink order while I peruse the menu. When the drink arrived, I was ready to order. I chose to start with the French Onion Soup and as for the entrée I went with the Bone-on Ribeye. Sides are à la carte, so after wrestling with it in mind and speaking with the waiter, I choose the Tuscan Fried Potatoes with olive oil, rosemary, parmesan. Sat back and relaxed. The French Onion soup arrives and it was much more than expected. A huge bowl that should be considered much more than an appetizer or starter. I committed to not finishing the bowl so as not to fill up before the main course arrives. Alas, t'was not to be as the soup was wonderful. So robust in depth of flavor. I knew I was in trouble before the ribeye arrives. The bone-in ribeye was cooked perfectly. Seared on the outside and nicely pink within. Wonderful flavor. The Tuscan Fried Potatoes were also very good. The side was large enough for two people, which is something to remember when visiting with a companion. Having enjoyed much too much of the soup, I had a hard time finishing the meal, but made a great effort. Of course, there was no chance of having dessert. I would have exploded right there. The service was also exceptional. The waiter and support staff were present without being overbearing. I was never rushed. In fact, it as a leisurely meal that I experienced for over an hour while enjoying the atmosphere of the Sam's Town atrium and the 6:00 water show. Overall, a wonderful experience. I'm looking forward to my visit next March.

Great food, good service

By Susan_foofoo |

We go here often. Love the rib eye steak, rock shrimp appetizer, hamburgers and crab cakes on the social menu (4-6 pm I think), French onion soup, and desserts.

Not the best, but very nice

By Mike J |

This steak house is no Gordon Ramsey's steak house but it was still very good. The service is excellent and they carefully prepare their food. It is only lacking that extra flare or flavor to make it 5 stars. Maybe after they are opened a bit longer

Just OK

By GregoryFrancis |

Billy Bob's was better. They tried to make this very upscale but the clientele isn't here for that, thus at Sam's Town. No locals at the bar anymore and business appears to be down and partly because almost everything is ala carte. Not made for the clientele. On a side note, The Big Mess BBQ which replaced Billy Bob's is now closed twice a week. That isn't working either.

Nice little place

By Michelle |

I went here twice, and both times it was a great place for a conversation with friends. The service on the first night left a bit to be desired -- we couldn't get the server's attention when something was wrong with the order -- but when we did get their attention, they took the wrong dish off the receipt even though it was eaten by then. The server the second time was fantastic, though! I do recommend ordering your steak a little more rare than you'd usually order at a high end steak house (i.e. if you like it medium rare, order it rare). Portion sizes are very generous, especially for the chocolate cake.

Nice atmosphere and good food

By babya71 |

We sat on the patio which is a nice ambiance looking at the park view inside sams town, service was a bit slow, we had some wine and cocktails, french onion soups to start, which were delicious! I had ciopinno, nice amount of seafood, husband had bone in ribeye and baked tato, both really good, had the chocolate layer cake for dessert, it was amazing, overall we would return, this was our first time here.

Get off the Strip!

By LeighAnnK171 |

Hubby decided we were going to try "The Angry Butcher" at Sam's Town Casino on Boulder Hwy. I had my doubts but, let's go. I really can't say enough good things about the meal and atmosphere for a smaller casino. Prices are on the up side as choice beef goes but I've spent more for less. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive, the décor pleasant and relaxing and the food? Excellent. Five stars from us. We were impressed and will be back. (We were treated to a comp meal at a steakhouse at Sunset Station but "The Angry Butcher" was tastier and price was/is less expensive). Try it out. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Good Steaks, Good Service, Good Value

By Thomas T |

Getting away from the Strip is almost imperative if you're going to find good values in Las Vegas dining. This place, located in the Sam's Town Casino & Hotel, is about 6 miles from the Strip. Our steaks were fine quality, prepared as ordered, and served with a smiling team that catered quickly to our needs. We enjoyed the place, and would go again, if there weren't so many well-recommended Vegas places we haven't been to yet.

Never disappointing!

By Robert B |

I have eaten there three times now and I'm fully satisfied with all my experiences. FLAT IRON STEAK, its the BEST

Delicious food

By patrn94 |

The Angry Butcher is the best steak house in Las Vegas, located in Sam's Town Casino. I had filet mignon that was cooked perfectly, and so tender, the sides are ala carte and the portions could be shared with 2 people. Sweet potatoes and asparagus again perfection. My husband who doesn't care for steak requested a hamburger and even though it was not on the dinner menu Chef Charles came to our table to meet us and assured us that accommodating this request would be his pleasure. And as a side note the chocolate martini was Delicious!! I will recommend this restaurant to everyone!!!!

Great service! Thank you, Maverick!

By Julia S |

Very enjoyable setting on the patio in the atrium. Great ambiance. Dinner was excellent and server, Maverick, was very attentive!

nice atmosphere, solid service, good food

By Hugh K |

We were able to eat on the atrium "patio" for an almost-outdoors dining experience at Angry Butcher, which was really enjoyable. The view of the waterfall and the accompanying lights/animatronics display show made for a nice bonus during dinner. I got the lobster tail with asparagus, and my partner ordered chopped salad (truly chopped) and filet mignon. All of the food was prepared well and was tasty. Service was attentive and friendly. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat.

Best steak!!

By Emma S |

Although a little pricey, this place does amazing food!! We sat out the front which was lovely as Sams town has a light show which is pretty. The service was great very attentive and offered us everything we needed. Be aware you may be taking some home in a doggy bag!! If having a dessert the seven layered chocolate is a must have but it's a sharing don't attempt on your own :)!!!!

Server

By James H |

After the Carve closed did the server Roy seek employment there at the Angry Butcher. He was absolutely the best server at the Eastside Cannery

Nicely redone

By Custer01 |

We drove out to Sams Town expecting the prior steakhouse and found it had been redone as apparently all Boyd's steakhouses had. So we could have saved a trip from the Orleans since they were very similar but it was a wonderful meal never the less. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The servings were more than ample. I had the caprices salad and filet mignon and the salad was outstanding I also had the 7 layer cake on recommendation of the waiter. It was enough for four! But it was moist and delicious. Great meal!!!

Nice 4 star eatery

By bincalventures |

We had a group dinner here. The steaks were great. I had the Roasted Chicken which was also good. Pricey but good.

Great Meal off of the Strip!

By Jack2148 |

Stayed at Sam's Town for the first time this trip. It was a good experience along with the meals at the Angry Butcher. Everything we had was good. The service was also very good. We will definitely go back next trip.

Quality meal great service

By Alex702 |

Our server, Maverick was great. I have a senior parent and he took time to help her, even cutting up her prime rib. Relaxing space a bit upscale and menu with good options, The steak was great. Home made hot rolls were a temptation, to full to enjoy dessert.

Mediocre. There are numerous better steakhouses in that price range.

By Fred G |

To be honest, we were very disappointed in the taste and quality of cooking of both of our steaks. Average price for the ribeye and the filet mignon was $40 per steak. Not cheap, but not overly expensive. But both steaks lacked savoriness -- they reminded us of "frozen" meats recently thawed (although I am sure the meats were NOT frozen; but something went wrong in the aging process I guess). The ribeye was properly cooked (ordered as Medium), though a bit on the salty side. Not much char. The filet was supposed to be Medium (a nice pink) but came out unevenly cooked, around 1/3 was medium and the rest leaned more towards a drier medium well. A tad too salty and not enough char. Service was excellent. Baked potatoes were large, and nicely cooked. The side of greens were way too salty. Salads were okay, but could have used more non-lettuce veggies. The price of cucumbers and grape tomatoes is not expensive. So overall, a meal for two came out to $130: two salads, two steaks, two baked potato, one greens, and two iced teas.

Fabulous Dinner and Show

By Patricia W |

This great dining experience began with Maury, our server and photographer for the evening. We were seated at a great outdoor table directly across from the waterfall where we were delighted by an 8pm laser show. The meal began with piping hot Parkerhouse dinner rolls, drinks and Maury humor to die for. He made it difficult to select specific dishes cause they all sounded like “musts” by the time he was done describing them. We finally settled on a salmon over mushrooms that was outstanding, braised short ribs of beef that were huge and absolutely cooked to perfection and two different chicken dishes plus sides. The fluffy mashed potatoes were melt in your mouth delicious and the Mac n Cheese was all Maury promised. Asparagus was great for those who liked those greens, leaving more mashed potatoes for the rest of us! Having dessert during the laser show against the waterfalls topped everything off once Maury generously took time out to snap photos for us. We’ll definitely go back when we are in Vegas again!

"Loved It!"

By Bandit331 |

Family get-together from several states, everyone was little tired to leave the casino so we gave the Angry Butcher a try. Excellent, timely service with a variety of food ordered. Everything was great, from the cajun-blackened salmon to the lobster chowder to the huge salads. I had a dozen oysters & was not disappointed - big & tasty! Drinks from the bar were outstanding. Really enjoyed ourselves!

All food prepared properly for everyone in our party but me

By Ronald S |

Last time my son and I stayed at Sam's Town, we ate here and it was really good. We could watch the show nearby. This time most of us ordered the USDA Prime Steak dinner and all asked for medium rare. Mine ended up well done so they fixed it recooked it. Mashed potatoes and green beans were good. My brother had a Prime Rib which was great with a giant baked potato-for everything-it says all the soldiers on menu. My brother's wife had a shrimp cocktail and delicious roasted beet salad-red and golden beets

Not A Place to Have Diner!

By NYCborn1944 |

The Angry Butcher Restaurant is located at Sam;s Town located about 20 minute off the Strip. It is NOT worth the trip. The service was terrible at best and the food was extremely mediocre!!! We ordered filet mignon ( the smaller version) which was overpriced with side dishes that were, of course, extra! The waiter paid very little attention to our table and, of course, the meal itself was rushed! While we were in the middle of an appetizer, the main dish arrived long before the first course was finished. Obviously, the waiter placed the entire order at one time without considering what the end result would be The food was only "OK" but way overpriced for what you received. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone and would tell people to avoid it if you ever go to Sam's Town!

Come at night and see the show.

By Jedimasterkush |

This restaurant is in the courtyard of Sams town casino on boulder highway. Even though it’s quite a drive from the Las Vegas strip it’s only about 15 minutes from Lake Las Vegas. If you come my suggestion is to get a reservation at night and request the patio so you can see the water and light show in the middle of the courtyard. After being told by several people and staying out in Lake Las Vegas we decided to give the Angry Butcher a try. The prices here are still steakhouse level but much more reasonable than all the steak houses on or near Las Vegas Blvd.. Our waiter was very friendly and very helpful with suggestions and answering our questions. From our table or just about any of the tables on the patio you can see the water and light show that takes place every couple hours. Be advised when I say patio you’re still in an enclosed area with air-conditioning. We started out with French onion soup and the roasted beet salad and both were really good. The homemade bread they give you with butter sprinkled with Hawaiian salt hits the spot. For our mains we went with the petite fillet and the boneless ribeye. We ordered sides of Tuscan potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. As far as a sauce the béarnaise side was well worth the three dollar fee. For dessert we split a crème brûlée and had a birthday celebration that the waiter sang happy birthday. All in all The Angry Butcher was definitely a win!

Excellent all around.

Fantastic food, excellent staff, comfortable environment, great drinks, can't say enough about how great this place is. Will definitely go back again.

Very good food and staff.. Relaxed but linen table cloths . Wide selection of food categories.. Full Bar service

Great Beef & Vegetables

By Lisa W |

We ate here 3 times within 10 days - we were transitioning from our condo to an RV and we were parked at Las Vegas RV resort and the restaurant was close, easy to access. Service is excellent, the food is fresh and phenomenal, beats out many places right on the strip. The caprese salad is delicious and do order the sautéed spinach.

Not just steaks

By mediacritic |

I'm not into steaks; expensive and I can grill them at home. Angry Butcher has a modestly priced and limited menu before 6 p.m. After that, it's steakhouse prices. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered a bowl of lobster bisque and a Caesar salad. Bisque was good. Salad was fresh and crisp but had only its dressing taste to claim the Caesar salad heritage. Maybe I'm a snob, but I want anchovies, garlic, raw egg, etc., of it might as well be Paul Newman's bottle. Price was fair. Service was fine.

Great atmosphere, average food

By Bill B |

the service was 5 stars, however the prime rib was not tender at all, for the price paid, not the best

Great meal - not expensive

By BLV430 |

This was our second visit to The Angry Butcher. First, a lot of the other reviews mention that it is expensive. It is not - it's certainly well below the cost of the typical Las Vegas steakhouse. $32 for a filet mignon is not expensive when you can go elsewhere in LV and spend $60+ for the same cut. If you go to a casino's high-end steakhouse and expect Applebee's pricing, you're going to be disappointed. As to the meal, all the food was excellent - roasted beet salad was fantastic - I ordered it on both visits. Flat iron steak and the filet were bothperfectly cooked, tender and well-seasoned. Perhaps the sautéed spinach could do with a little less garlic, but we ate every bit. The baked potato was enormous. All of the sides (a la carte) are large enough to share - perhaps even for three diners. Service was attentive and everyone was friendly. It's worth a visit.

Damn good steaks

By Mutsch H |

This place makes a cut of meat look easy to make Do t know how they make the prime but is very good If you don’t mind paying for good Food this place is for you

Great food

This is a steak house, what great food! Great prime rib was tender, asparagus and rolls and potatoe. All great!

Excellent food and service

By Bruce42lv |

Had dinner here 5/13.Started with the fresh baked dinner rolls which were delicious. We split a Caesar salad .For entrees we had the lobster thermidor and 22 oz. bone in rib eye.Food was excellent as was the service.I believe our server was Maurice.

Great Happy Hour

By bobsynth |

Oysters Rockefeler and ribs and onion rings appetizers are the best I've had. The staff is great particularly Morey the waiter and Darren the bartender. Ask for them.

You Better Come Hungry

By Echso |

If you come to this restaurant, you better come hungry. The food is freshly prepared and wonderful. The fish is hand cut, not pre cut, when ordered. The sides are fantastic especially the Bourbon Smashed Sweet Potatoes. The In Bone Rib Eye was butter cooked to perfection. If you can get Maury to be your server. Funny guy and he will entice you with samples of the sides you didn't order. The place itself was dimly lit for a nice intimate dinner or you can dine on the patio which is inside the indoor park of Sam's Town. Just go and enjoy.

Good

By cassandra c |

I only have a question. I ordered the sweet mashed potatoes with the bourbon butter. I didn’t realize the “bourbon” until after. Does that contain actual alcohol by any chance ? I’m a bit worried only because I’m pregnant.

Upscale

By 1967ellenj |

We only stopped in at the bar, but the bar appetizer menu was impressive. The ambience is beautiful aside the Mystic Falls Park. I had the baked meatballs, and they were exceptional. Daryl the bartender is the best.

Don't go unless you plan on being there forever

By chelle8690 |

I went with my husband and my parents on a Sunday night. We stood waiting to be seated for 10 minutes...there was a guy cleaning tables and I saw waiters, but not one of them said someone will be with us or even a simple hello. Once we were finally seated, it took forever for our waiter to wait on us. There were people who came after us who had drinks already and were ordering food! We had been there for a hour before we ordered our food! We even stopped a waitress and asked her where our waiter was because we were about to walk out! The place was not that busy!!! After a long flight to Vegas, I was hungry and tired and wasn't planning on being ignored and having to wait forever to be served. I won't be going back.

Good Food and Xlnt Service--but pricey

By crystalcatSandiego |

We had prime rib and pork chop entrees. Both were good although I've had better prime rib elsewhere for the price. Pork chops were tender and flavorful. Good service. This restaurant is alacarte for everything and the bill can add up fast. Nice outdoor seating area with view of water show at night. It was convenient walking distance to the Sams town RV park…

Found A Really Good Waiter At The Angry Butcher, Maury

By Ka6otm |

I was there with my wife and started to order for the both of us. I ordered 2 Caesar salads and he immediately told me that there was no way we could each eat a full salad, and recommend we buy one and split it. He split it for us and it was about as much salad as I cared to eat with dinner. Then I ordered scotch/rocks and a 16 oz prime rib for each of us, medium rare. The prime rib was as good as I've ever eaten in a restaurant and the baked potato with everything was probably over 1 pound by itself. When I ordered a refill on my scotch, Maury said he thought they had a couple of drops of scotch left, then returned with a cup with a couple of drops of scotch in it and a straw. We were laughing our heads off and he then produced the regular scotch. He's a very entertaining waiter.

Great steaks, delicious sides, knowledgeable service

By Dr H |

Visited for the first time with my sons looking for a chance to let them know how proud I am of their accomplishments. My youngest will be deployed for nine months soon. The steaks were excellent and tender, and our waiter’s advice was expert. The sides were delicious, and they were surprisingly inexpensive! We will definitely be back!

Worth The Visit

By MrsBfromMontana |

Located in Sam's Town Hotel/Casino. They dont open until 4 p.m. We didn't have reservations so we got there just as they opened to ensure we could be seated without a long wait. We were greeted and seated immediately. They have social hour (Happy hour) from 4 -6 p.m. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with soft lights and candle lights. I ordered the beef ribs while my husband had the prime rib. For our side dishes we ordered mashed potatoes, creamed corn and mushrooms. The sides are not included with main entree but keep in mind they are "sharing sizes" While waiting for food to be served, they bring out hot and fresh buns with butter served in a small pan. They were delicious along with our food. The meat was so tender, you didn't need a knife to cut it. Great food, great staff and great atmosphere! We will definately return 😊

Dinner

Went to this restaurant twice. Their service is excellent. The portions are big. The price is on the high sidel. Not too sure if the price of the food is worth it. Nice decor.

Fantastic food & atmosphere !!

By 242 |

Wonderful customer service, fantastic fried chicken with the best gravy ever !!! Very generous portions, definitely get dessert to go .

great meal and the Christmas atmosphere only made it better

By Tim T |

I never order prime rib because I can fix it better at home than most restaurants. I took a chance this time and was well rewarded. The 24 OZ cut was delicious and properly cooked from the first bite to the last. The appetizers, short ribs and onion rings were both excellent. The short rib appetizer was so good and so generous that you almost don't need a main course. The house chopped salad may have been the best of all the dishes. I would drive across town just for it alone. Our whole party was pleasantly surprised by the quality, the reasonable prices and the great service.

Wonderful Restaurant

Excellent food. Fantastic and friendly service. White tablecloths, classy yet casual, beautiful building and decor. Professional staff. Good price for such a great dining experience. We look forward to the next time we get to eat there!

Pleasantly Surprised and a Wonderful Dinner

We highly recommend this steakhouse at Sam's Town on Boulder Highway! Our steak dinner, a daily special and the cocktails were great! Steak cooked to perfection. Waitstaff friendly and attentive! A very nice experience. It is becoming more difficult to find a good steakhouse in Vegas. The atmosphere was comfortable.

^^ Best Keep secret in town ^^

Wonderful Restauant

By Janet F |

We had two very enjoyable dinners at this place, located inside Sam's Town. The wait staff is attentive and very efficient. We enjoyed excellent mojitos, crab cake appetizers, steak au pouive, salads, and desserts. Pricey, but worth it.

Less than impressed

By FortunaFan |

Ate there last night for father's day. I ordered the 16 oz English cut of prime rib. I received 2 thin slices stacked together so as to appear as one slice. Hubby and I shared a baked potato. It was not fresh baked and had been sitting a long time. Crab cakes were delicious and so was the creamed spinach. Would probably go elsewhere next time.

surprise, surprise and surprise

By kylesgram |

It was getting late and we were hungry for steak so we decided to try this place In Sams Town Hotel and Casino. We went there and found there would be a 30 min wait. There was nothing available for 8 people unless we wanted to split which was a big fat NO. We sat outside deciding what to do when they came out and told us the reserved table people did not show and would we like to come in. There was outside seating but i hate paying for food that gets cold fast and you dont enjoy it as much. So we went in and had drinks and orderes, Rib steaks, Porterhouse steaks, salad, baked potato so huge, mashed potato enough for two, spinach, clams, etc. The steaks were enormous 16 oz cooked to perefection. Chopped salad that was so huge it couldnt be finished. We took home an abundance of food. Service was outstanding. He was at our beck and call. Restaurant is upscale.

Wonderful

By Kay W |

Vegas is filled with great places to eat but if you are at Sam's Town try this. It is quiet, great wait staff and the food is just wonderful. Not cheep but so good you will be glad you did not do the buffet. Trust me!

Awesome steaks!

By Robert A |

I've been to the Angry Butcher Steakhouse that the hostess knows me by name. I have a waiter I am seated with every time I dine there. My favorite dish is the filet mignon. It has always been cooked to perfection. I await my next trip to the restaurant.

Very Enjoyable

By Ewok22 |

Seafood was fresh and nicely prepared, steaks were cooked perfect and very tasty, wine selection while not large was adequate. Service was really good and servers are very experienced. Price was reasonable and you would pay double on the Strip for the same meal IMO

Aunt and Niece dinner

By Michele B |

My aunt recently lost her mom and asked to have private time with me. She asked for an hour and instead i arranged dinner. Mystic Falls Park at Sam's Town will always be special to me because i was married in a balcony overlooking this very park in the summer of 2003. Mu first experience at the angry butcher was as magical as my wedding. My aunt raved about her NY steak and my roasted chicken with buttered asparagus was incredible as well. I have to know the recipe for the roasted chicken. It was hot, juicy, and crispy on the outside. I'm gonna need secrets guys!!

Great atmosphere, fantastic service and the best steaks.

By catysonreviews |

I ordered the prime rib and it was fantastic. My husband is not a big beef eater and after he tasted my prime rib he said he could become one with steaks like that. He ordered the cippinno and said it was just okay. My suggestio, order a steak. I'm sure they are all great. Our waiter was also very attentive and friendly. We would eat here again.

Need To Serve Better Quality Steaks

By JERRY R |

Wife and I decided to give the new Angry Butcher Steakhouse a try. Located in the atrium area of Sam's Town Casino it is a very appealing place with "outdoor" seating overlooking Mystic Falls. We had a very good server by the name of Maverick who was very informative on all the menu items. We ended up requesting a dinner split because neither one of us were starving but just wanted a little something to satisfy ourselves. We ordered the 10 0z. Filet ($40.00), side order of Mushrooms ($6.00), one Baked Potato ($6.00) and one Caesar Salad ($9.00). The Filet did not taste like a prime piece of meat but more like a choice cut sirloin. The Mushrooms, Baked Potato and Caesar Salad were very good. Overall I thought the service was outstanding. I liked the very heavy silverware and nice plates. The "outdoor" patio was a very nice setting. The next time I eat there I will be ordering something other than steak for the main course.

I am NOT Angry at The Angry Butcher!

By PantherFanatic |

We are here based on a friend's recommendation. He was spot on! We all are so full as I sit here and write this review. We ordered steaks and sides followed by desserts. They are all great (see pics). Great find out at the Sam's Town hotel and casino. Worth the drive from the strip!

Spectacular

By PerriBlack |

From the Oysters Rockefeller to the beef short ribs, the food was fantastic! Our bartender (Andy) and server (Mark) provided excellent customer service. Good wine and cocktail choices. Indoor seating was tranquil; outside was energized with the atrium activity. Great, relaxing date night.

Great food

By Denise H |

Great food at a reasonable price. We enjoyed everything. Good service and friendly staff. Very enjoyable meal.

Worth A Try

By BuckeyeTraveler68 |

Although we miss Billy Bobs, it was refreshing to see more of an upscale restaurant as well as the food. The restaurant took over the old Willy & Jose restaurant and the floor plan hadn't changed much. The outside patio is still available. I started with the fresh oysters which I found to be very good. The bone in ribeye was absolutely fantastic and definitely the portion was more than I expected. The peppercorn steak ordered by the other party was also an excellent choice. Salads and sides are all shareable. The prices were in line with an upscale restaurant.

Very disappointed

By novakain |

Went to a business function, ordered the pork chop. The service was friendly and wonderful but the pork chop was over cooked and dried out. Not happy

We were so pleased, my husband booked his club's holiday party there!

By Janice N |

We met friends for dinner at this restaurant, which we had all heard about, but never been to. The food was delicious, with perfect portions and everything absolutely temperature appropriate. Our server, Jonathan was a delight and had such a sense of humor. My husband is the leader of a club that has been searching for a good place (not on the Strip) for a holiday party. He and I both looked at each other and said, we have to see if we can book it here. There is not a separate room for parties, but there are a series of partitions in the restaurant, the last of which makes the very back of the restaurant kind of private. So we talked to Michelle while we were there, and have been e/mailing since to finalize the details. We had first thought that having the party on the terrace would be nice, but the Mystic Falls laser light show is right next to the restaurant entrance and apparently has shows on the hour.

Very good Dinner

Came here for dinner. Service was very good, the food was great. Overall very good experience. Would definitely recommend.

Never make that mistake again

By Digrity M |

We were staying in the Sams Town hotel and after arriving from a long days drive decided to have a good steak dinner with our kids. We went down to the Angry Butcher and were seated right away. But with many other open tables they insisted on putting us in the one table that was pushed up against a doorway and a place that many had to walk around us. There were only 3 other occupied tables in the entire place. When we asked if we could have any of the other tables to be more comfortable, we were offered the bar. Mind you we had 2 underage children with us. So, we sat in the most inconvenient table they had. Then after looking at the menu for some time the waitress decided to come take our order. She was VERY short and VERY rude especially when our kids ordered. When the food came she had not listened, and one of our childrens order was incorrect. We decided to not say anything and just eat what we had been given. The food was comparable to a chain food restaurant like Chilis or Red Robin. Nothing special and small portions. We ate our food without seeing our waitress again. We sat for about 10 minutes once done eating and nothing, no waitress. I then noticed the girl that sat us standing near our table. My daughter asked when can we go back to our room so I said loudly, as soon as our waitress decided to appear again so we can pay our bill we will leave. The girl hustle to the back and 30 seconds later here comes our waitress asking if we were done. We said yes please bring us our bill. She did and we paid the extremely overpriced bill and left. I was so uncomfortable with how she was treating us and especially our kids. I would rather have eaten at the Mc Donalds across the way than had that experience.

Tried something different.

By olymo7679 |

Its like any typical restaurant you would see in a casino. Half of the dining area is inside the casino, and the other half is on an outside patio environment. We both had the sirloin steaks, medium rare, which is actually a tad more on the rare side, recommend leveling up on your doneness then what you're used to. Salads were actually tasty, the Lobster soup, was actually delightful as well. The main reason why this restaurant gets the accolades that it does, is because of the outdoor themed indoor atrium. Its actually really cool. Real trees, shrubbery, streams, cooler temperatures, so it actually almost feels like your eating in the woods. But, the water show, cancelled, Covid. The only reason why I only gave it 4, instead of 5 stars, is because its still a steak. Granted, even the steaks I cook, i have to have steak sauce, these do not. Actually a lot of flavor, and tender. Adding additional table salt, even better. Back to the 4/5 star rating. I was fully satisfied after dinner, but, im also fully satisfied after eating a steak dinner at a chain restaurant too. I enjoyed it, it felt more like a date, because the wife and I did something different.

Good atmosphere and food

By Anthony M |

I had a steak that was cook to my standards. I did enjoy the atmosphere on the patio near the Mystic Falls area. They did have a good happy hour. Prices were better than on the Strip. The restaurant was well kept and clean.

Mystic Falls Ambience

By baaaaaaa |

Great service & ambience, food average. Seating outside next to Mystic Falls made the meal experience great. Girlfriend claims the Chocolate Martini "is to die for," and only $10 too. Halibut ($28) was overcooked (dry) and needed more butter & lemons. Pork Shank ($22) was good with meat falling off bone. Crab Cakes ($14) were really good and we recommend them. Service was exceptional. Located inside Sam's Town Casino.

Takeout

By John |

The parking is free, The establishment is just through the Casino on Left side.. There is a lot to select from the menu

Great Food & Service

By Karen Y |

Great place to eat. French onion soup was fabulous, salt & vinegar homemade chips generous portion and the salted caramel chocolate cake was delish! Morey our server was top notch and his team was very efficient. I would recommend to try!

What a disappointment!

By CaptainBill2010 |

Our "go to" Vegas steak house has been Billy Bobs at Sams Town for the last 12 years and we were never disappointed. It had great service, great food, reasonable prices, was quiet and had an abundance of ambiance. They have replaced it with the Angry Butcher, and what a disappointment. No ambiance at all and very very loud (forget conversations). The prices were still reasonable and the service was excellent (fortunately they rehired the old staff). The menus went from 5 pages down to one oversize one and several of our favs were missing. The food really went downhill. No more mixed bread basket, just some dinner rolls (and they were salty). The Caesars salads stayed with you the entire meal (and it was not a pleasant after taste). My wife sent back her dinner (first time that ever happened at Sams) and decided just to share mine. We had reservations for 2 nights, but cancelled the second one (even tho the meals were comped!). Hopefully, the BBQ restaurant will renew our faith in good food at Sams.

Great dinner

By dlb00084 |

Great dinner. We were a party of 4 and decided to eat outside in the park like atmosphere. Server was kind to suggest that their side dishes were large enough to share. Steaks were cooked exactly the way they were ordered.

Delicious Steaks and the Sides offered are unique and savory! Pricey but worth it! For a nice night of dinner, go here!

Loved it!

By Dukester1985 |

Just driving around town while in Vegas we walked through Sam's Town and really liked this Restaurant, so we booked reservation for the next night. We actually cancelled our reservation the MGM Grand steakhouse to go toe the Angry Butcher. We requested and received the outdoor dining which was very romantic. The two of us ordered a ton and it was all very good. We started off with the seafood tower. It was $36 and much better than one we had on the strip for $120 about a month a go, Lobster Thermidor, which you rarely see on menus these days, was quite good. The Oysters Rockefeller was home made. I'd say it was good, not great. The Lobster Chowder was really good as well. I decent amount of lobster in it. We get the 20 once bone in rib-eyes/oscar. It was a nice piece of meat, and well prepared. The quality steak, was very good, but not great like you would have at a top end steakhouse. Don't usually repeat restaurants in LV since there are so many options, but my wife and are excited to return to Angry Brothers. The pricing is about 30%-40% cheaper than the same amount of food on the strip.

The Angry Butcher - Sam's Town Casino LV

By Khristi L |

The Angry Butcher My best friend and I were just in Las Vegas for the Life is Beautiful festival. After days of fun we always love to treat ourselves to a mani/pedi, or a massage, or an ice meal. Surrounded by casinos that trult have good food for the portion of the cost (in comparison to Seattle), we found the Angry Butcher, located in the Sam's Town casino. We bellied up to the bar to watch Monday night football. The decor was posh and we were surrounded by older fold that honestly gave us a curious eye, like we wouldn't know hot to dine in a establishment like taht. LOL, they don't know me very well, do they? The service was perfectly imperfect. He was sassy and real and didn't give a rats but still on point. Its nice sometimes to just have someone there to get what you need and keep your glass full but give you space to chill. He totallly reminded me of some of my old school fine-dining buddies that ruled their tables. The menu is ala carte. We started with baked clams and man-o-man I took that reciped to heart and it's coming home with me. Butter, garlic, bbread crumb, and bacon. 6 clams to an order. A great sharing starter. We ordered a green peppercorn crusted sirloin with a cognac glaze. We didn't realize when ordered but the steak dishes come with fresh, super thin sliced potato chips. We got the lobster chowder which ended up being larger than we anticipated and we turned it into a dipping sauce for our steak and garlic mushrooms. To lighten our menu choices a bit we also order the beet salad with read and golden beets, fresh raw goat cheese and dressed arugula. We took our time, had wine, ate like queens, watched football and had a blas!!! AND....before gratuity? the tab was only $61 per person.

Angry at the butcher

By Dennis W |

Terrible service, terrible service attitude and long wait for order (40 minutes) with virtually no customers in the place. Food (steaks and salmon) was cool to the touch and tremendously overpriced. This is not a Strip hotel where such prices are expected. Bad move by Sam's Town which is known as a locals place. Will never return nor advise anyone to go there.

Not a great experience

By Arnie A |

The overall experience fell flat. Atmosphere is very nice considering this is in a local dive casino. The service was not great. When ordering we asked what type of crab legs were on menu, weight, and price. The server did not know what type of crab legs and was not interested in finding out. We ordered the filet special and short rib. We we're drinking soft drinks which seemed to disappoint the server. We were given child size cups, and the refills were not flowing. The short rib was outstanding. The filet special was crap. Two 5oz filets ordered medium. One came medium the other well done. The spinach and risotto sides were awful, and no server to tell. When I go out I like to relax but this place was too frustrating.

Just Delicious

By monmouthprof |

Great food, great drinks, and great service. We really enjoyed the Social Hour. Lower prices, but still a nice selection. The Mo Burger was the best.

Great menu choices but food needs work

By Susan R |

Loved their menu!! Steaks, fillets, seafood. Oysters Rockefeller, lobster chowder, steamed clams. Great ambiance inside and awesome dining on the patio in the garden with the water fountain show. But..... the prime rib fir $17 comes with a potato choice and vegetable . The au gratin was delicious. However the meat arrived cold on all 4 dinners ordered by our group. The fillet that was ordered by another in our group was sent back 3 times as it was ordered medium well and came out medium rare, then well done. A free dessert was given to compensate. I had a delicious halibut served with asparagus and cherry tomatoes. It was very good. I ordered a side of cream spinach. It was delicious and could have served 3 people . Service was excellent and our waiter was attentive. I just wished the meat could have been done better as it is a steakhouse. However you can’t go wrong with the seafood and can’t beat the ambiance. White table cloths and nice wine menu , too .

Place is so so

By otalay |

OK service is awesome and restaraunt is nice. But the food I would say is just ok, I had the lobster Mac and I have to say that I've never had that with grilled onions in it and the lobster was not all that fresh. The steak was OK but some parts weren't cooked the way I ordered.

Fabulous Steak House!

By Leslie S |

Great food in a great location. We watched the Holiday light and waterfall show during dinner and it was very special. Great food & service.

One night a 3, the next night a 4.

By BrianJonestown |

I usually rave about this restaurant that not a lot of Vegas visitors will ever find. However, I'm very aware that like many chefs who vie for business in a city packed with choice, that you are only as good as your last meal! Four of us went in anticipation of a great meal one night and were sadly disappointed. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't up to their usual high standards. The bread, the sides and one of the entrees were good but the others were either over-salted or on the bland side. And we even had to send back two glasses of 'corked' wine. On our fourth night we went back and things had improved overall. The swordfish was perfectly cooked and the fried chicken was moist and flavorsome. Something was going on in the kitchen for sure. I hope they get it worked out. Until the next time.

Food was nicely prepared

The name of the restaurant does not coincide with the dining style. You hear "Angry Butcher" and you think a friendly, casual restaurant. This was closer to fine dining in a cold atmosphere. It is not a 'sit back and relax' restaurant. I ordered the shrimp cocktail (LARGE shrimp slightly overcooked), the beet salad (nicely done - taste and appearance were good), the halibut (nicely seasoned, nice presentation, but the halibut was mushy), and the bourbon sweet potatoes (tasted to me like they were mixed with apple sauce, I could be wrong).

Excellent Dinner

This is the best place to eat in Sam's Town. The service is fast and friendly and the food is to die for. Marvelous potatoes and sweet potatoes and the steaks are cooked perfectly. Most of the menu is a la carte, but they do have specials that are a terrific deal for the money.

Very good food

We had Thanksgiving dinner here and the food was well prepared and the service was excellent! My wife and her family ate here in June as well and had the same experience. They loved the prime rib!

Wonderful evening

The rib eye steak is delicious. Perfectly cooked with a delicious bernaise sauce. 2 of us had the chicken which was moist and tasted like very good quality. French onion soup and crab cakes were equally as good. Was surprised to find this high caliber restaurant at Sam's Town. Tables are large and well spaced. Decor was very relaxing. We ate inside but there is also outside dining. Our waitress Whitney was the best. One side dish was forgotten and we told her we were way to full to want it just didn't want to be billed for it. She returned with 2 free desserts to take with us. A large piece of German chocolate cake and a lemon tart. A nice treat. Even you if are not staying at Sam's it is worth the trip. You won't be disappointed.

Gotta visit the Angry Butcher for outstanding service and great steaks. First time guest simply blown away with quality steaks

Outstanding steaks that were perfectly seasoned and delivered hot to the table. The filet medallions were awesome and the mashed sweet potatoes were smooth as silk. We had crab cakes and onion rings appetizers which were equally outstanding. The bone in tone and lobster tail entrées were amazing as well. Service bu our waitress was superb.

Angry Customer

As the name implies...First, the Salmon arrived to perfection. Second, the Filet Mignon, arrived overcooked and was replaced with a second filet that was so tough, the steak knife was unable to slice through it! A chainsaw had a greater chance of accomplishment!! Great side dishes, homemade bread, Nice Ambiance: Stay Away from Beef/ Filet; unless you bring a chain saw!

Great place and service was fantastic

Tried this place after doing Joe's on the strip. Steaks were juicy and tasty. Our waiter, forgot his name sorry, was fun and very attentive. Loved the ambience and food. Will definitely go back when in Vegas again. Chatted with casino manager/host we think after. They asked how things were and we told them how much we liked it. Also liked the gambling choices and atmosphere.
