Favorite Sushi In Dallas

By dtctdallas |

This is the best option for lunch or dinner. Lunch offers a 2 for 1 (four pieces for the price of two) and they do not minimize the quantity like other sushi places at lunch. The menu offers everything for the sushi lover as well as plenty of options for the "cooked food" eater. The atmosphere is casual with tables, sushi bar or bar seating. There are many TV's that may or may not be your thing. The sushi and sashimi is consistantly good and the staff is more than pleasant and helpful - always! The Greenville Ave location has outdoor seating which is nice as we can eat outdoors pretty much year round in Texas. This is the place to go!

Best place for lunch during the week.

By Mark K |

Just finished lunch at the Blue Fish, it was great as always. During the week at lunch they have Binto Boxes which are a whole meal in them selves. Soup, salad, fried dumpling, tempura, four pieces of California roll, chicken or steak, and half a segmented orange all served with rice. We sat on the patio which was very laid back but the service was great, very attentive. We eat here every few weeks and it is always above average both food and service.

Excellent Sushi!

By Spicey_Jen |

I've gone here a few times for lunch and the sushi is always fresh. Would also recommend ordering the Ahi Tuna Tower....delicious!! Pricing is somewhat high, but worth it for the quality you receive. Definitely will come back here again.

Not friendly for people with disabilities

By M M B |

No physical menus available which meant my husband - who is a disabled veteran - was told he had to use a phone to view the menu. Covid is no excuse to be non-ADA compliant.

Pleased

By sxl93 |

Came in from out of town and wanting to get some sushi. Went on a Saturday night and the place was packed, only seating was the sushi bar and the actual bar. We sat at the sushi bar. Food came surprisingly fast and servers were good. Very decent sushi as well!

Sushi deliciousness

By Dianne M |

My family went to Blue Fish together to eat some delicious sushi. The Blue Fish did not disappoint. This restaurant has valet only parking. The dining area had bar service seating, and had a great seating area as well. This is a children friendly restaurant. The sushi was great. The dining experience was very pleasant. We will be back.

Awesome food and wonderful service!

By Traveler |

Service was very prompt, friendly, and food was excellent! I would definitely come back! Had the crab potstickers, Titan, and The Blue Fish sushi.

Amazing Shishito Peppers!

By Kevin W |

I spent the summer working in London where shishito peppers are on every appetizer menu in restaurants. I fell in love with them. We arrived at The Blue Fish for a business lunch and I was super excited to see them on the menu. They were fantastic! I ate half the bowl and almost ordered another one. They were seasoned perfectly and better than any I'd had in London. The rest of the food is good as well. Service strong and nice atmosphere. P.S. I found the peppers at Sprouts and my wife recreated them at home. God close but not quite.

Great if you like Asian food. Maybe a bit pricy though.

By 4DHW |

I can't recommend eating outside on the patio. Flies will sit on your food and while the top of your body is desperately fighting them away the bottom half will get eaten by mosquitos. I didn't want to but my eife insisted..grrrrr.....

Very good sushi!

By JimC2626 |

My wife and I met family and friends at Blue Fish on lower Greenville. It was our first visit and we truly enjoyed the experience. The sushi was fresh and the Ahi tuna tower was excellent! It's a bit pricey but hey...you only live once. :)

Fun place -- even if you aren't into sushi!

By KimKDallas |

Dined at the North Dallas Location a couple of weeks ago with a friend. Although I'm not a huge sushi fan, he is. However, I was pleasantly surprised at all the options. When you are seated, you have the option of the main dining room for sushi and hot menu items or the hibachi grill. Menu has a nice selection of cooked items to compliment the core sushi. We did the california rolls, the sundae roll, spicy tuna and the Louisiana roll (with tempura crawfish). The Louisiana and Sundae were my favorities! Both were great combinations of flavors. Service was great. The servers were more than happy to make recommendations and answer any questions we had. Things came out as they were ready, so you could get started on some things while the others were in process. Drinks were replaced / refilled regularly and the server checked in regularly. One thing to note --- it gets a little cool in the restaurant -- I wish I'd had a sweater!

Authentic Sushi that's a Rave

By ElaineCopeland |

We usually go to Blue Fish on Greenville Ave, and we really liked our favorite dishes here in Addison, too! The Ajai Tower was super good, and the waitstaff was incredibly personable, helpful, and fun to talk with. the Sushi chefs have high-end training of many years of loyalty and service, and will tell you about their prep. We also want to come back for the Hibatchi room - it' looks super cool!

Sushi the way it should be

By C Pro |

This place is my wife and I favorite place to eat on Greenville Avenue. The Ahi Tuna tower is perfect everytime. Great date night!

Best sushi

By manelis711 |

Located in a lively area in North Dallas (finding a parking spot was difficult....) it is worth any minor inconvenience. Food was great, service efficient and friendly and management was "hands-on". Would definitely return.

Quail eggs are the star

By Rabaheo |

I had been to The Blue Fish in its more northern location before and highly enjoyed it so I decided to try the location near my AirBnB this time. I found the sushi to be pretty good overall. The special roll we got, The Sharkbait roll, it was decent but not something I'd order again. The combination of crunchy popcorn shrimp and sushi roll was very novel though. The regular roll, spicy salmon, was one of the best spicy salmon rolls I've had. It had bigger pieces of salmon, rather than the usual minced into mush I get at other places. I also got an order of Ocean trout, unagi, mackerel, snapper and conch sushi. All of these were very high quality cuts of sushi with very good texture and clean fresh taste. I will say I was underwhelmed by the Ocean trout since it tasted so similar to salmon. Outstanding among the amazing sushi was the unagi, it was so deeply savory and yet tender, like a perfect melt in your mouth cut of steak. Hands down the best unagi I've had anywhere. Where this restaurant chain really shines though is in their unique take on quail eggs. I ordered a half dozen to split with a friend to start with, and after we downed those we vowed we would order more. Alas, our meal was so filling we had no more room at the end of it. These eggs are amazing and at a perfect price to order in satisfying numbers. The server hovered a little at first, but I think that was because we were the only ones in the restaurant for a bit.

Good food but service was lacking

By SusanC |

Good sushi and prices were good. Sat outside on patio and it wasn't bad with misters. Waitress was not helpful or very attentive. When we asked what she recommended she just pointed to the specials.

Great Sushi and Shishito Peppers

By atrainhansonn |

The peppers are cooked perfectly here be careful one in ten is spicy. The sushi was also great. I had a couple raw rolls and they were made perfectly. The service was good but the bathroom was not clean.

WOW

By Justin M |

This was easily some of the best sushi I've ever experienced. I sat at the sushi bar and the chef was helpful - I had fresh snapper, albacore and toro nigiri. Also had two phenomenal rolls and some sake. It's not as expensive as anticipated either. The menu doesn't have prices for the rolls, but they ended up being $14.95 each and well worth it. This place is top notch.

staple sushi - always pretty good

By DallasJack |

We came here the week it opened, and have been steadily going back over the years. Basic sushi is always good. Some of the more exotic dishes (uni, etc.) are not as flavorful as, say, Tei An, but for regular dishes (salmon, tuna, caviar, shrimp, other raw sushi) it's always fresh. Lunch is two for one sushi, which is a good deal. Get the frequent customer card - with double point Mondays, it can add up pretty fast.

Great fresh sushi every time!

By gwenm744 |

This is our 'go to" place when we visit Dallas for sushi. The atmosphere is a little loud during the busiest times but the food is excellent. The patio is large and great during warm weather. The sushi bar is also a great place to watch the magic happen. The dishes are innovative and delicious. Great place for anyone and even something for non-sushi fans!

Good food.

By Jawababe12 |

We had sushi and I was content with what we picked out from the menu. I like their outdoor dining and valet service. I wish the waitress was more knowledgeable of the menu and any suggestions. You're working there not only waiting tables, but trying to sell what's on the menu. But still good sushi for a reasonable price.

The BEST Sushi in Dallas

By Sherree P |

with lots of experience in sushi dining, I can honestly say that BLUE FISH is one of the BEST I have ever had. A must TRY!

GREAT FOOD/LOUD AMBIANCE

By Valentina1231 |

The food is over-the-top fresh and good! The presentation is excellent and the wait staff is very knowledgeable about pretty much every item on the menu. The only draw-back was that it was so loud in the restaurant that it was hard to here the waiter when they spoke. Not sure what can be done about that...

Well Poke' me in the eye! This place is awesome!

By jwiley963 |

Recently had lunch here with some dear friends and it was amazing. Somehow we timed it just right and at 12:30 on a Friday, the place was super easy to get a table. We ordered a variety of veggie and sushi and poke' options and everything was delicious. Service was super helpful at prepping our ahi towers and answering questions about the various dishes.

Excellent Food and Service

By IV_BOYS |

I took some clients here for a business lunch and was totally impressed with the sushi and the wonderful service we received. I will definitely be back!

If you love Sushi this is the place for you :-)

By Arthur |

As your walking to your table you will see this massive sushi bar. It was so quite and elegant. We enjoyed some sake and a half a dozen varieties of sushi. The presentation and taste was wonderful.

Awesome fresh sushi, plus they serve Shiner Bock, win win!

By constanttraveler25 |

I love sushi and so far each visit to Blue Fish doesn't disappoint me, their fish is so fresh and the rolls very tasty.

Very good experience

By Patricia S |

Good food . Its a mix of japonese food , mexican and texas food that really worked. They are very good and the attendants very kind and prepared. I recomend and fore sure I will come back there.

A trusted Greenville go to!

By Amber G |

Always a great place to meet with friends for a drink and sushi. Friendly service, food is wonderful, upbeat and happy atmosphere! Hit the Greenville scene afterwards. This is a great place to get things started or enjoy a nice afternoon on the patio.

Good Old Fashion Pizza

By TLS56852 |

This is not a fancy place. It is really good old fashion pizza. There is minimal seating. The Ceasar Salad was wonderful. We got a large pizza and one salad for three people. Lots of pizza left over for lunch the next day. Prices are reasonable.

Awesome Sushi

By smugica |

If you are a sushi lover, you should definetly give Blue Fish a try. It is a little trendy so try to go on off peak hours so you can actually have a conversation.

Always Great

By LacyB123 |

Love this place, cant go wrong!! We come here once every few weeks with my girl friends because it is a great meeting point for us in Plano and those in Dallas. The crowd is super cool, the bar is nice but watch your drink if you put it on the side next to the bar because it WILL slip off! Ill tell ya what to get that will blow you away. 1. the ahi tuna tower ( best in the world) and they always do it in a cool shape mine last night was a smiley face! 2. the volcano roll is simply divine! 3. I know this sounds generic but they have the BEST California roll ever I am not sure why but it is perfect. 4. the last thing I love it the Himachi Heaven ( yellow tail, ponzu and jalapenos) its light and refreshing! The staff is great and we love going here and will be back I am sure next week!

Delicious sushi!

By Steven V |

loved the sushi! Make sure to try the Mega Lobster roll - expensive, but worth it! 50% off bottle of wine when we went on Sunday. Waiter was a little scatter brained and kept forgetting things.

Perfect location and patio

By Brocksmama |

You don't have to be a sushi lover to love Blue Fish. They have many other choices on their menu besides sushi, although the sushi was excellent. This place can have a huge SMU presence so it can be a little loud both inside and outside on the patio but a decent wine list and great service really add to the Greenville experience.

Repeat Trip In Order

By Creengr |

Not the same old array of items. A fusion of different combinations without being too wild.

Tip the Valet

By Alwaystraveling4work |

If you don't want to walk, use the Valet service. Otherwise this is located close to a neighborhood and I am sure a homeowner won't mind you parking by their house. The food was delicious and decently prices. I ordered off of the happy hour menu 5-7pm. The tuna tacos are petite bites of delicious flavors. I also has some sushi which tastes fresh. The only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is because the female staff was griping and being agitated either at each other or other customers. But there was a lot of grumpy following each other and arguing quietly but loud enough that I could hear it. It was quite the miniature spectacle. It's a bar type setting, hip, fun and I can see how it can get loud on a busy day. Despite the dinner and a show I would recommend to travelers or solo diners.

DISGUSTING

By Patricio G |

This was the nastiest sushi ever. We got a bunch of rolls and a tempura appetizer. the tempura was like corndog batter. heavy and oily. the sushi was the worst i have ever had. They actually put some kind of honey on our maki.... It was super sweet and the most disgusting thing EVER. Who the [--] puts HONEY on sushi?! Major FAIL. Never going back

Best Sushi

By kwarmackii |

Blue Fish continues to be my favorite sushi restaurant. I travel weekly for work and have tried several sushi restaurants when I go to these cities, yet, I still will pick Blue Fish. Don't get me wrong, I have had some phenomenal sushi at other places, but when it comes to the freshness of the fish and rice, there are very few that compare.

Very Pleasant Experience Overall

By jim6918 |

Four of us ate here our last night in Dallas. Again I was a little peeved with the whole valet parking thing at what I consider an “everyday restaurant.” My daughter just loves to say, “Dad, this is Dallas, get used to it.” Overlooking the fact that we again had to choose between freezing our butts off inside or sitting next to Greenville Avenue on the patio, we chose to be comfortable and spend the next hour yelling and saying, “What?” So that this review isn’t all negative, the rest of the meal was excellent. The service just great and the menu is exciting and filled with yummy offerings. We had a couple of appetizers, the Ahi Tower and a couple of orders of Edamame. The Ahi Tower is tuna tartar marinated in sesame oil over snow crab, avocado salad on sushi rice foundation sprinkled with caviar and sauce. It was truly outstanding and more than enough for 4 people. The 4 of us ordered two specialty rolls each, and since they came to the table at different times, I lost track of what was ordered. The server brought a Sundae Roll to the table that was meant for another table, and I happily dived in before we discovered the mistake. Could have been the traffic noise? When the last roll showed up I confessed to the server and he indicated that they already knew the mistake but weren’t in time to snatch the chop sticks from my face to save the order. We ended up with 9 rolls for the price of 8. I doubt that they would have said anything if I hadn’t, but felt better that I did. Smile  This wasn’t the cheapest sushi I have ever eaten, but clearly at the top of the list quality and service wise.

GREAT Lunch Spot!

By JoInTexas |

Sit on the patio! It is finally fall in Dallas! Service is very friendly and prompt. Drinks are nice and strong. The Chilean Sea Bass appetizer is a true value for your bucks. The mix and match Veggie and Seafood Tempura platters insure that you get exactly what you want...shiitake mushrooms, asparagus, sweet potato and even carrot! The Sottish Salmon is outstanding. I am hungry writing this!

Good food, strange ambience

By 5121Brownstone |

Not a great fan of sushi but went here with group of colleagues. Was pleasantly surprised as the food was really good - lots of choice and well presented. Service also good. We were here with Japanese colleagues and they were also impressed. Only downside really was the environment - it was very dark and the set up of tables was strange.

Excellent sushi

By mike m |

Sushi was very fresh and very good. Place was really loud, however, and with tables near the entrance, very warm as well.

Good seafood

By c3a3m3 |

A wide variety of foods in a great location. You can easily find it on Greenville Avenue. The food is great.

Disapointing Lunch

By airspeed_69 |

Went there for a late lunch and found the sushi roll I ordered was mostly rice and imitation crap the tuna and salmon was cut very thin and was not worth the price.

TUNA TOWER

By katm799 |

It used to be our favorite place for sushi. Runs like a cafeteria. Tuna tower is smaller. Happy Hour offered only at the bar.

Fantastic,Fresh and Loads of Options

By HenryGLeinster |

Had a fantastic meal he last week. The fish was really fresh, services good. The stuffed halapeno's were great. Also the Ahi tower is a must...

Couldn't find the Addison location to review.

By wideangle10mm |

I went to the Blue Fish in Addison and LOVED it. The service is great especially when dealing directly with the sushi chefs at the bar. The food was fun, with interesting combinations. And presentation was fabulous. I will be back! Try this place!!

Best of the Blue Fish

By Bearded Delight |

We've eaten at a few of the Blue Fish Sushi bars and this location is by far the best. Staff here is laid back and the vibe is really low key. Sushi came out fast and fresh. The scallop roll here is on point.

Amazingly good Sushi

By Zain M |

My daughter and I came here for Valentines night! It's a friendly place with great ambiance both the inside and outside. She ordered the ahi tower, and absolutely loved it. I ordered the piñata roll. They were both great! Very pleased! Definitely coming back!!

One of the best Sushi Restaurants in town

By cudadave |

I go to Blue Fish once or twice a week because the service is always great and the fish is always fresh. Anything you want in a sushi restaurant is there. Highly recommended.

Good atmosphere and sushi!

By Gloria M |

The environment is more upscale than most sushi bars. The sushi is more modern. If you make a reservation, they use a white table cloth. Great manager.

Good Sushi

By David C |

Took my wife here because she loves sushi (I didn’t think I did). Turns out that sushi is amazing if done right. Flight of sake was a fun way to start, and the server was very accommodating of my newbie needs and my wife’s gluten allergy (Celiacs). We had a fantastic meal and can’t wait to be back.

very good sushi

By Maia0909 |

Not a fancy restaurant, but with a very good food. I eat a lot sushi, everywhere I travel. This sushi was in my top 10.

Back to the Blue in Addison

By yumyumguy |

No listing for the location at Frankford and the Tollway....I stopped going to the Blue Fish because of the Greenville location; it got sloppy. The Las Colinas place lacks in service and freshness; and it has probably been 2 years since. But WOW Addisson!!! I was taken by surprise at the buttery greatness of your sushi. Fresh, firm and amazing with the brown rice. I can't recall what 3 rolls we shared but they were all good, very good. Service was superb and food came out fast. Now, don't everyone get all excited...its not my Sushi Zushi, but in a bind on 2 for 1 lunch THIS IS MY Place when at work. I give it a YUM YUM YUM out of 5 YUMs.

Fresh

By lisalou63 |

Absaluty love everything about this place. Everytime I come to town Its a place that I have to stop at to get my share of sushi.

Melt-in-your-mouth Sushi

By Bruce W |

Four of us went out for Sushi last night, ended up at The Blue Fish on Greeneville Ave, and we weren't disappointed. We started off with their signature Ahi Tower Dish, which was delightful, and then each of us ventured off on our own (no sharing here -- get your own :-) by ordering a wide variety of different Rolls. I had the Rainbow Roll and the Spider Roll, the two items that must be excellent in order for me to come back again, and they did not disappoint. They were melt-in-your-mouth good!. My wife had the Miso soup and the Shrip Tempura roll, which she truly enjoyed. Our dinner companions had several rolls between them (I didn't pay much attention, I was too busy enjoying my own) and are really the ones who introduced us to The Blue Fish. They like it so much they come here at least once a week and sometimes twice! I'm sure there are a lot of reviews on the restaurant, but this reviewer is a foodie and a sushi lover and The Blue Fish ranks at among the best I've eaten in Dallas.

What a trest

By lisalou63 |

This is one of my favorite places. Food, service, atmosphere, wine and everything else in-between.

Must try!

By Belinda L |

This location is smaller but doesn't change the food quality. Try the ahi tower. It is delicious! The prices are a bit higher than other places but with sushi you get what you pay for. So pay more and get better quality here. We had the squid salad, ahi tower, shrimp tempura and Philly rolls. We had two pieces of tuna as well. We washed it down with sake flavored with some Peachtree. It was all good. The service was great. Waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. Our drinks were refilled. We didn't have to stalk anyone to get anything done. It was all good. They offer loyalty cards for $25 and if you check in through Yelp you'll get a free tempura ice cream.

Very Delicious

By Bradley F |

I love raw fish, and this place has a lot of it! Salmon and Tuna tasted positively fresh. No sour on bland taste here. The service was a tad better than expected, defiantly going to go back sometime this month. They also have their house special rolls, which are pretty good. I would rate this place above average.

Came Back for More!!

By Jon M |

My second time eating here for a business meeting. Blue Fish is a unique spot that by all accounts stays fairly busy on a street that has tons of eating options. Started with the Ahi Tuna Tower which was very tasty. Then a series of rolls plus a bowl of sushi Maduro Tuna (probably Big Eye) which was very good. Service was excellent. Prices fair and reasonable. Would definitely come back again!

OFF THE MENU - SHOW THIS PICTURE TO GET THE SQUIDWARD

By traveljuggernaut |

Nice atmosphere for lunch and the restaurant is always trying new dishes. There's one you have to ask for that's off the menu. The Squidward! Show them this picture on your phone and you'll get it.

Absolutely wonderful experience!

By Mia |

We had never been to this restaurant before and now we love it! Big sushi selection and lots of sake, cocktails and beer/wine to choose from on the menu. Our server was super helpful. We ordered the stuffed soft shell crab for an appetizer. I got the rainforest roll and I think he got the rock Manhattan. For dessert we had the wonton berry tower. Wow! I couldn't possibly find a negative thing to say about this place. The service was also fantastic. We went on a Saturday right after they opened for an early dinner but they get super busy after 6. Parking was valet only but it is free.

Best sushi ever!

By TheFunFoodie |

Our Christmas Eve dinner here was incredible! I have no words to explain how amazing the sushi rolls were. And our family members who are non sushi eaters easily found delicious meals they loved. I can’t wait to go back to Dallas to eat here again! Thanks Blue Fish for making our Christmas Eve awesome!

Gourmet experience

By UnPapuno |

Wife had the sashimi salad, and it was very fresh with LOTS of sashimi. I had Teriyaki Salmon, and it was excellent. Nice place, fresh food, good prices, what else can you ask?

Loved it!

By topherboy31 |

I'm a huge sushi fan. I make it a point to try sushi wherever i may travel to. Lucky for me I have some cousins that live in Allen and when I was there for a weekend trip, they took me to blue fish for dinner. The atmosphere was nice, although i dont know about the music selection.. seemed a little... off.... like dance music, i think we heard enrique iglesias during dinner which we all found humourus. It was not crowded at all which surprised me, but we were there on a sunday night, and it was 45 degrees and raining. The food was fantastic. We ordered rolls and shared between our group. We kept a menu at the table and ordered more rolls every 15 minutes or so and our waiter was very friendly and patient with us. He also made some recommendations of rolls to try, some of which we tried (like the baked salmon roll) and very much enjoyed. You have to try the sundae roll and the texas roll. They were fantastic. I am craving them now and i live all the way in NY. Price was a little higher than normal, but not too bad. For the quality sushi i recieved that night, it semmed a fair price. Overall the dinner was very enjoyable. I noticed there was a large selection of sushi places in dallas while driving around, and this is the only one i tried, so i dont know how they compare, but i very much enjoyed blue fish and look forward to visiting again!

Piñata sushi!

By Omar H |

Great service, good prices, awesome patio sitting. If you're not about tasting the subtle differences between tuna, yellow tail, and salmon the Piñata sushi roll is a refreshing option. It's probably the best sushi roll I've had as of yet! Word of caution: it's flippin' spicy! But not so much that you can't appreciate all the flavors that the different ingredients offer.

Good sushi - poor service

By Dallastraveler49 |

We decided to have a late evening dinner at the Blue fish after a lengthy flight. When we arrive there were only about 6 tables occupied. About 10 minutes after we placed our order one of the appetizers arrived at the table. However it took another 35- 45 minutes for the remainder of our meals to arrive. Given that it was fairly late in the evening and there were few tables for the waitstaff to attend to we were very disappointed in the level of service. We did see 6 or 7 members of the waitstaff hovering around a computer monitor having a engaging discussion but we could not easily find our attendant when we needed them. Once the meal arrived we were very pleased with the items we had selected and felt that the food in general was excellent. However given the large number of restaurant options available to us in Dallas we will not return here just because it appears that they do not pay much attention to customer satisfaction.

Outstanding - Unique dishes

By Joel S |

LOVED the sushi here! Great ones I have never had before. Try the Miami Vice - AMAZING! Great service, super fast, nice selection of beers and saki too.

Best meal in town.....

By Michael B |

We dined here as a group of 4 adults with a toddler and a baby and they were most accommodating. The kids all had bento boxes 9think that was the name) and they loved them. we had a selection of sushi/sashimi and main courses to share with a few drinks. Great service and delicious food. highly reccomend

Great Sushi and Fun Atmosphere

By Brezer |

My wife and I recently ate dinner at Blue Fish. We started with the Ahi Tower. It was awesome. It did not look like a lot of food, but once the server blended it for us, we realized it was much more food than we first thought. We also had a Las Vegas roll and a Blue Fish roll - both were really good. Rather than ordering dessert, we finished with a Seared Ahi Salad, which was probably the best casual salad I have ever eaten. Everything said, this was a great meal in a casual atmosphere. Our server, Bai Sa, was very attentive without being invasive. We will definitely go back whenever we are in Dallas.

This is our go-to sushi place in Dallas

By MarcHoffmeister |

We're a family of sushi fanatics - we've tried nearly all the major places in Dallas and this is the one we keep coming back to. Sure, it's not nearly the most authentic, and probably not the absolute finest quality of fish you can get in this town either, but that's not why we come here. We mostly come here for the rolls - we love all the crazy combinations they've come up with over the years, especially the Rainforest Roll & the Firecracker Roll. The sashimi is consistently good, too - especially salmon & yellowtail. We also looove the stuffed soft shell crab appetizer. Price-wise Blue Fish seems to fall somewhere in the middle (though their prices have been creeping up), but to me it's a good value considering the generous portions and quality. If you want to save some money, check out their 2 for 1 nigiri at lunch or the happy hour specials in the bar. Too bad there aren't any specials on those crazy rolls! Atmosphere: they play dance music most of the time, and it can get pretty noisy inside on busy nights - so if you don't like those things, this is probably not your place. Be aware that the 4 different Blue Fish locations in Dallas have slightly different menus and options: As far as I know, hibachi tables are only at the North Dallas location, and only the Allen & Greenville Ave locations have outdoor seating. We always sit at the sushi bar when we can - we like watching the chefs work!

Beautiful sushi

By mshbnyehud |

My first visit to Blue Fish at this location, and unfortunately, on an otherwise beautiful Thursday evening, the place was empty. People seem to be scared away by the Coronavirus for no rational reason. My friend and I sat at the sushi bar, enjoyed fabulous service and a wonderful "show" by the sushi masters. They truly produce gorgeous rolls. We started with miso soup which wasn't the best we've ever had. I would skip it next time. Then three other wonderful dishes -- first the Blue Fish Tower (we chose salmon) which is very tasty, and a hefty portion even splitting two ways. We also shared the Samurai Roll and the Alaskan Roll. Samurai is served with a beautiful coating of wasabi cream -- beware!! It is very spicy (order a beer to quench the effects quickly). We loved the Alaskan Roll. Only two negatives. Both Rolls were substantial size for individual eating, despite cutting into smaller pieces, of course. They are simply quite large to fit into your average mouth. The only other negative is that basically everything came out all at once, even before we were finished with the miso soup. For sushi, this is not so consequential, but no one likes to feel like they're being rushed through the meal (especially when the place is virtually empty).

Excellent and consistancy freshest sashimi

By Ken T |

I have been eating Sushi and Sashimi for many years and comparing to all sushi/sashimi restaurants in Dallas metroplex Blue Fish is the best . They have the best services and freshest fishes. Their sashimi are almost comparable to the authentically prepared sashimi you get at the fresh market in Korean's market, Udong, South Korea.

Had fun

By Justin0111 M |

Wife and i always wanted to eat here and it was worth the wait. Great atmosphere and menu. I will continue dining here

By GoDirk |

I like the greenville location better than the north dallas location but it is a good all around sushi restaurant. Not the best or worst quality, not the most expensive or least expensive, but when you put it all together I think it is the best all around sushi place in Dallas. Not that I am going to turn a blind eye to Teppo or Tei Tei.

Superb food, ambiance and adult beverages!! Love this restaurant!

By Monica Bailey |

This is my favorite restaurant for sushi in Dallas!! Honestly I don’t think you’ll go wrong at any of their locations because I never have. Their hibachi is awesome too! I’ve never had a bad experience and their quality is top notch! Their happy hour specials are a bonus too, if they still have them.

Very good sushi place and great staff

I enjoyed this restaurant very much. I am not a big sushi eater but they have a large menu and plenty to choose from. My coworkers were raving about the sushi. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. A must see in downtown Houston.

The unique sushi options...

The unique sushi options are a nice change from the basics. I wouldn't say they're basics(like california/alaska/philadelphia rolls are anything spectacular though. The eel is very nice.

One of my favorites!

I'm not a sushi expert, but a novice.....with that being said, we had the Lava, Louisana and Valcano rolls and they were delicious! We sat on the patio and had great service. Valet was a plus being hard to find a spot on Greenville. We will be back.

Some very good food, but ambience is loud, service was not good

Little strange menu with 'small plates' taking up a section, maybe due to SMU college student preferences? There were four of us and we had to wait a considerable time for some of the dishes and drinks and drink refills, service was not good. Some of the dishes were excellent (salmon sashimi). Some of the dishes were very good (Tuna sashimi, cup of miso, Dragon roll), Some dishes were just good (calamari, dumplings, eel sushi, octopus sushi, veggie roll, mackerel sushi). The salmon roe sushi was really not very good. And the pickled ginger was a little tough and not that tasty. The Nigori sake was very good. There were a number of TV's running and this seemed to be more of a coed hang-out place then a 'restaurant'

I see why this restaurant is is busy!

Excellent food, drinks and service. Wish there was one near where I live. We had the lobster, tuna tower, and Manhattan roll. Pair that with a yummy mango cocktail with a hint of chilli and a slice of fresh mango and I give it an A plus. Reasonably priced as well.

Great find in a great area!

We found this place and love the atmosphere of the Blue Fish and this quaint area. People walk to the restaurants from their homes which in the age of large box places is very uncommon. We will come back to the Blue Fish AND lower Greenville.

The sushi is great

Some of the best sushi I've had. The entrees were a bit different, some kind of spice in the rice was unusual, not bad, just a bit different. The service was awesome.

Bluefish The Horrible Restaurant

I ate here and the only people that were nice were the people at the front desk and they were very upset to find that we left very unhappy and the waiter seated us at the very back and I had to tell this lady to move her purse because the waiter person wouldn't and everyone else got hot towels and cucumber salad and the general manager was very mean and the food was horrible we almost gaged on it

Cool Place Very Good

First time eating here and really enjoyed it. Very neat place to eat, lots of action going on... The sushi was very good. We started with the Ahi Tuna Tower - which our server mixed into the shape of a fish... Very tasty indeed!! We had about 5 different sets of rolls - yes the three of us stuffed ourselves... We also had an order of Maguro Sashimi which was excellent. Some of the rolls maybe were a tad to spicy for my liking but they were good. Not sure why this place was packed last night because it looked as if every other restaurant on the strip was... You can eat on the covered patio or inside. Our server "V" was EXCELLENT!
