Good crab but expensive.

By Ian M |

Just dropped in on a whim on our way back to the hotel. We didn't really know what to expect, never having a "boil" before so were unsure of what to expect. They were out of Dungeness crab so I had king crab at $26US per pound, which was much more than the Dungeness (which I prefer) and you aren't asked what quantity you would like so I ended up overstuffed after 1.4 pounds. It was tasty but a bit spicy for my taste ( I am a spice wimp and had ordered mild) but flavourful unfortunately couldn't really taste the crab. Very informal and very messy to eat with fingers and seafood pliers.

Not bad if you dont mind eating tons of butter

By Joseph_Isaacs |

I was there for my birthday the other evening with family. Food was good, slightly overpriced and served in a plastic bag full of butter. Way to greasy and hard to eat. Long wait for a table.

Exotic sea food, good taste

By ErfanOnline |

I was a bit skeptic at first when my friend planned to take us there. Being from Melbourne, we get plenty of all kinds of sea foods. So, did not have high expectations. But going there, really enjoyed the environment and servings. The items were as usual (I mean no exclusive dish), but the cooking was good. Portion size was acceptable. The most memorable and exciting part was the spices and the way of eating with hands. Kind of wild! I would recommend anyone to go at least once. May be not the best in sea food in LV, but noteworthy.

Good, not great

By MsKiesha |

I was here with my family for dinner and the food was good not great. I had the catfish with lemon pepper fries. The fries were really good and the catfish was good once I mixed salt & pepper with tarter sauce. My sister didn’t have a lot of meat in her dungeness crab, but my cousin’s was ok and they weren’t a fan of the lime, salt and pepper mix. Lexus was phenomenal! She was patient, kind and very helpful when ordering, her tone of voice was very sweet and nice. She was very attentive and pleasant throughout the entire visit. Overall, it was a good visits.

A Messy Good Time

By Mike O |

There are no plates so don't ask. You get a nice big table covered with paper, a bib and a lot of napkins. Your food comes in a bag with your choice of seasonings and add ins (sausage, potatoes and corn). We had the shrimp (head on and not peeled), mussels (which were gigantic), clams, snow crab, crawfish and oysters. The seasoning was "the whole shabang" at medium spice level which was a little warm, so beware. Most the food is sold by the half pound, but it's a fair price. Service is very good for a very busy place. Be sure to get some rice it's really good with the bag juice.

Messy, very messy...but GREAT!!!!!

By GerardoFoodie |

Upon arrival, place is packed. Simple menu, simple tables, lots of napkins and delicious, simple seafood. Order your meal, add sauce and 'hotness'. Then roll up your sleeves and eat! Forget forks and knives, just 'dig in'. A must off the strip!

A Gem!

By Abe H |

A great family friendly restaurant off the strip! I was on a business trip and this place was recommended by a friend. It's about 10-15min drive from the strip. Very low-key and friendly atmosphere. Friendly waitress. Food is amazing! Perfectly spiced seafood! The spicy scale is on the hot side, so be careful.

Delish!

By Lauren T. |

I love my food spicy! This was a very moderately priced seafood boil I would definitely go back. I recommend the cajun fries also. The staff as well as the food was on point.

Very good food and service.

By NitroDog |

Very good food and service. This place is not only crab, they have all sorts of seafood available. We went for lunch on this first time visit. I shall return next time for dinner.

Messy Messy Delicious!!!

By Dgouldd |

First visit to the Boiling Crab. It was a great experience. Wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I saw the servers bringing out bags of seafood to the customers. The way this place works is the seafood and vegetables are cooked together and served in a bag. You then use your hands and dig in. Novel approach to dining. What makes it work is the seafood tastes fresh and it’s very tasty. Went with the shrimp and corn in a bag with hot sauce. Prices were reasonable. Great place for couples or families. Service was excellent.

A hint of Maryland in Nevada! Expect to get dirty, expect to have fun, expect to love your food!

By GrumpyandtheOldLady |

Most important: If you've ever been to a real crab restaurant in Maryland, you'll not be surprised by the way your dinner greets you. If you haven't, let me give you an idea: Your seafood will be served 'whole' and with minimal fanfare. The crab will be uncracked and in one piece, the shrimp will have their heads on, the table will be covered with paper, you will eat with your hands, etc.. If this is your first time at a restaurant like this, before you go, look up how to open and clean a crab. It is easy. Unlike Maryland, where your dinner will be dumped out of a wooden bushel basket onto your table, they serve it here in plastic bags. We decided to try The Boiling Crab after reading about it in TripAdvisor. Boy, are we glad we did! We ordered a pound of shrimp and a Dungeness Crab, both with 'mild' Sha-bang seasoning, and two pieces of corn and sweet potato fries. The food came quickly. It was, as it should be, very hot and we had to let the crab cool down a little so we could handle it. The 'mild' Sha-Bang seasoning offered plenty of flavor and enough heat to make it very interesting. The sweet potato fries were a perfect compliment to the spicy seafood. One pound of shrimp, a 2+ pound Dungeness Crab ($42.00 on the day we went,) the corn, and the sweet potato fries were a very, very filling meal for two. The shellfish, sides, and two adult beverages cost around $90. Absolutely well worth it. We were stuffed and very satisfied. This was one of the best bang-for-your-buck meals we've had in a very long time.

Spice in your life

By Marie T |

The Boiling Crab is one of the first of this type of seafood restaurant. Be ready to be messy but fulfilled. My husband cannot tolerate spice, but I love spice and they were able to accommodate both of our tastes. A bit expensive, but you will be filled and will probably take food home with you.

Seafood Yummm

By 980dark |

First time at this location and I have to say, the service was great! Our server took the time to explain the concept of the restaurant, gave us suggestions of the menu. We had a wonderful, tummy full lunch! The order was just right for me and my hubby. Our server did a great job recommending the amount of food we ordered. Definitely going back when in Vegas! Just wish the opening time was sooner than 3pm

Biggest oysters ever!

By We_Travel_A_Lot_2011 |

We stopped in for some oysters a and let me tell you I have never seen oysters this big! Plenty of hot sauce and Tabasco and upon request they will give you horseradish. Good quality and filling. We ordered a dozen and a pound of clams with the whole shebang sauce (all 3 mixed). Good dinner, even better than some competitors!

Fun place!

By Melark0518 |

Great atmosphere & service. Spacious seating. Food was good. A little pricey but what's not in Vegas, right? The gumbo and cajun fries were amazing. My husband had the crab legs and loved them. We're from the south and it was definitely not like home but for Vegas it was good.

So fun!

By Mek0060 |

This kind of food is my favorite, and my husband and I had a blast here. I ordered King Crab legs, corn, and potatoes in the Whole She Bang sauce, MILD. It was still too spicy for me until I noticed people squeezing lime on it. That took it to a whole new level! Delicious! Pros: I love a restaurant that hands out bibs. Messy and fun. The food is delicious! Their sweet corn is tender and juicy, the sauce is amazing with lime, and the margaritas are refreshing. Our waitress was perfect and prompt. Cons: We waited over an hour on a Friday night to be seated, there are no reservations. I enjoyed dinner so much that the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I felt the King Crab legs could have been larger. Nonetheless we had a good time, and will go here again next time we’re in Vegas.

Yumtastic!

By MonquitaR |

Casual dining atmosphere with good sized portions and delicious food that comes out fast. The waitress puts a bib on you and trust me, you will need it. The food is flavorful and delicious. We had shrimp, crab legs, and catfish with fries. There are no plates and you simply eat everything off of the wax paper placed on the table. I love this place and can't wait to go back.

Delicious Seafood 🦞

By Sara S |

The seafood was delicious, and not badly priced. Service was fast and they were packed! Highly recommend this place if you like a casual family fun seafood dinner.

Seafood with a KICK

By BRSKC |

Recommended by hotel staff we popped in for dinner. Everything was delicious and fresh. You have the ability to select the hotness (taste) of your food. We feasted on shrimp, oysters, king crab legs, clams and some fried pieces. The children thoroughly enjoyed the food as we did. For a family of four with a few beverages expect to pay around $180.

Being from Louisiana, this

By 😃 |

Being from Louisiana, this place for me was a disappointment and a waste of my money I heard it was good , so I went while in town It seems as if they cook everything and then throw it in a bag with seasoning I got shrimp and crawfish and after I peeled it there was no flavor to them I wouldn’t recommend this place and I will not go back

Simply Delicious!

By captkam |

Name your seafood or seafoods of choice. Want it mild, spicy, plain? You choose. Lobster, crab, shrimp, clams, mussels, etc. They do it just right! A lot of dining area as it does get busy. Great for families, friends, etc for a get together meal.

Sooo Good

By MASTERS613 |

Messy and delicious!!! The service was also great we’ll definitely be going back when visit Vegas again!

Good Food

By Carla H |

I've been to many restaurants like this and this one was good, but not the best I've had. The seafood is better on the east coast by far. However, the service was great. We ordered shrimp, mussels and snow crabs with mild seasonings. We also added 3 potatoes, one order of corn and half pound of sausage. The potatoes were well-cooked and good. The corn stook the flavor of the mild seasoning. However, the sausage wasn't what I expect. It had a strong flavor that didn't compliment the food. I would probably go with another type of sausage. The cost of the meal was $51 for 2 people. We were full, but not stuffed. Please add scallops to the menu. The environment was open and didn't feel like you were sitting on top of each other. The food comes out as it's cooked, which is different for me, but okay. Use the limes to clean your hands when you're finished eating.

Finger-licious good!

By MightyMayk |

It was my first time to try "eat-by-hand seafood restaurants in the US and I must say it was soooo good. The garlic and cajun style sauce was sooo delicious that I ended up scooping them to my rice =) Make sure you come early or reserve as the line ups can be long especially for lunch or dinner times.

WOW

By Sue L |

Saw this on triple D and had to visit. Service was fast and friendly. The crawfish was wow . I have never tasted anything so good in my life. Well worth a visit. Yes it's off the strip but if you like seafood you will love this place. It's messy so be prepared.

Loved it so much went 2x in 3 days!

By Rubinmel1 |

I looked up a seafood place on google and came up with this. It was phenomenal! I went back a second time within 3 days! I ordered the 1lb of shrimp in the garlic sauce mild both times! It is messy but so much fun! I only wish we had this place in Chicago, I would be there more than once a week! So sad that they are only on the west coast! The prices are also very reasonable for what you are getting, $15 for 1# of shrimp in a great marinade is not bad at all. If you want sides they are extra but you don't need any as this is quite filling enough! I will visit this place every time I go to Vegas or California! So much fun!

Tasty and messy

By MsRida |

Ok i admit I'm not a huge fan of all the mess that comes along with cracking crab, but i came along with my brother. He really enjoyed the breaded shrimp and calamari and so far is the best he's tasted. I had the gumbo but i wish it came in a real bowl, not plastic. The plastic utensils made me feel like i ordered take out rather than dine in. Everyone around me was enjoying their large portion items, so hats off for that. This is definitely a place to get down and messy, that's for sure.

BEST SEAFOOD BOIL I HAVE EVER HAD!!!

By Galie J |

OMGGG sorry to take so long with this review. My fiance and I were in Las Vegas for his work conference as we were always looking for the best food since we do not gamble. Seafood is our favorite especially spicy/cajun. Hands down thee best seafood boil I have ever had. We have had in New Orleans and Atlanta however, this is way better. We highly recommend The Boiling Crab as we do plan to return in the future. Its not hard to find even tho its in a strip mall also. Thank you for this experience!!!!

By caseynolandotcom |

They have some of the best king crab legs around. I also love the corn and seasoning on all of their items.

Quite an experience

By fromnwmt |

Get ready for some amazing southern style seafood crab boil we had king crab, snow crab, corn on the cob, potato’s and calamari I can honestly say all of it was delish! Interesting experience because it’s served in bags filled with all your spice of choice, fingers are required because there are no plates or silverware...

Wish I could give my review some more stars

By Monique R |

Wish I could add more stars to this review. Food was great, service was great, and prices are reasonable. Be prepared to wait or get there really early. We did not order one of the bags due to a time crunch, but we were pleasantly surprised and throughly enjoyed our fried dinners. We had catfish, fried shrimp and the shabang bang shrimp was absolutely divine! Our waiter took great care of us.

Yummi food.

By tcwilli |

The fried snapper is seasoned really well, yummi. The seasoned fries are also very very good. I would definately return.

Great Seafood Place Off the Strip

By Urmuzicman |

This was my favorite eats place during our Sept trip. I read about this place before arriving in Vegas and the place did not disappoint. We ordered and shared about 16 pieces of large shrimp, corn on the cob and red potatoes boiled with a cajun spice. Let me just say, this was better than I could have imagined and delivered to our table pretty quick, considering how busy they were. Pricing can be mid-price to expensive, depending on what you order, so I would say order smart and think about sharing items to save dollars for families. This place is very busy with up to hour waits from 6pm-9pm, so we elected to go around 5pm and still waited 30 min. Otherwise, great place and worth the wait.

Way overpriced for what you get

By Jill B |

Went to the Boiling Crab on a recommndation from a co-worker. Was with a friend who doesnt like spicy food. When we asked if we could have plain steamed crab and shrimp we were told it was no problem. The crab was fine although super pricey. The shrimp were boiled in some spices and were in a red juice when they came to the table. When we asked the server she said that was plain but they had already had spice on them as that was how it was. Sent those back and finished our beer. Didnt bother with any other food cause if i wanted an overpriced meal i would want utensils! Wont be going back - too expensive for what you get and you leave still hungry

Bring back the feedback appetizer coupon usage

By veew421 |

Very disappointed after holding on to my feedback coupon for a free appetizers. Instead of removing it completely how about changing the selection, it's such a nice gesture and was my reason for coming so often. Great customer ALWAYS!

Why the hype?

By Gregory W |

Decided to try this place with my daughter and friend for her birthday( her choice) I left scratching my head on why and how this place is popular Service was slow, once seated our waitress was decent and attentive until the end of the meal when she disappeared...so after 15 minutes of no service I stopped another waitress to get ticket upon paying bill I was asked for ID , guess my credit card was too nice..???? And I tired to observe if anyone else was asked for ID...not So getting up to leave the original waitress comes out and I ask " where did disappear to"? Oh I went on break....oh thanks for the heads up. Food was below average to boot. So in my opinion Don't believe the hype

Very good seafood

By NitroDog |

I had the King Crab Legs on this visit. Yum! Very friendly service. I went solo on this visit. My wife can not eat shellfish. I shall return.

Great Seafood and Atmosphere...

By Rick Huskins |

We were looking for a new place to have a date night with some friends. We all love seafood and of course we wanted to try something different and fun. We had heard about this restaurant and after looking on TripAdvisor I knew it was a place we wanted to try. We all love different types of seafood and seafood types of food so each of us picked our favorites…or maybe two… and went at this unique restaurant. I say unique because short of the spoon they gave me for my Gumbo I had no utensils… nope just what God gave me…fingers… They serve you the food in bags along with their secret mix of ingredients. It’s a three step process in picking your food, 1st pick the type, 2nd pick the seasoning, and 3rd pick the spice level. We tried mild, medium and XXX hot. I preferred the XXX but others liked is a little less spicy. You leave everything at the table so no bowls, plates, etc., just a butcher paper spread across your table. The give everyone a bid and you start eating. This is a fun place with great staff. Prices are market value (at least for the fresh stuff…which I suggest) or you can go with the frozen items for a lesser price. You’ll have fun while trying some great foods. Lots of side to choose from etc.

Perfect dinner with family

By theaztecprincess |

We had a practically perfect night out with family that lives in Las Vegas. This place did not disappoint. There is something for everyone, and it was a hit with the kids too. We paid a fraction of what it would have cost a family of seven on the strip. Take the Uber out!

It's was so Good !!!!

By Shenz |

During my holiday visit in California my cousin took me in this place , Its was my first time - Boiling crab ( Las Vegas branch ) was devine , the crabs & shrimps was pretty good !!! I had a two bowl of rice as the flavour of the shrimp were awesome " yummy " and very friendly service plus reasonable prices . I will definitely recommend to all my friends .

What an Awesome Surprise!

By coppertone_dreads |

My son decided to take us for a seafood dinner and what a great choice! Everything was absolutely amazing. I had the gumbo and Cajun seasoned clams. My parents had the catfish dinner and shrimp basket. All of our choices were fresh and plentiful. I greatly recommend anyone that loves seafood to make The Boiling Crab a place to dine.

Great Messy Dinner

By lrplunk |

Such an awesome dinner, got the pound crawfish, half pound shrimp & potatoes, non-spicy with rice! Omg! Loved it, got to really enjoy my seafood, mess & all. Made it taste even better! Lotsa napkins & love the bibs. My children recommended this place. Will be back again!

In Vegas for 4 days, ate there twice

By Frank M |

My first visit last week, the service was slow on a Monday night about 6:00pm. My second visit was on a Wednesday night around 6:30pm, and the service was excellent. The seafood was "over the top" great. Best Snow Crab I have had in a restaurant! And you have the joy of making a real mess, as there are no plates or silverware! Just eat with your hands. Lot of fun and great seafood!!!

GREAT CRABS

By Sheron M |

The wait was minimal, the staff was great, efficient, patient, helpful and quick moving. The food was excellent. the whole shabang was great, depending on your fire level, it is very tasty. The crabs were a great size and meaty.

Yummy! Clean! Fast! Friendly!

By elizabethw001 |

Yummy! Clean! Fast! Friendly! Crab boil style-eating right off the table with a bib on! Parking right there—nice place to go to get off the strip

Great Food as usual

By LYNDA H |

Love Love Love the Shrimp with the Whole Shebang seasoning. We chickened out and passed on the extremely hot whole shebang. We opted for the mild sauce. The restaurant was crowded, but the wait was not bad

Bad Neighborhood But Great Food

By Zena S |

Robbers break into cars in the parking lot. My husband and I eat lunch there and the food was great. But be careful because robbers will break into your car. It was broad daylight when they busted the window of our rental car and stole our briefcases. To make matters worse, the property managers have video of the crime. But they wont turn it over with out a court subpoena

Tasty and fun (if somewhat messy) place to eat

By jbarm |

Fun place to try something different in the Chinatown area of Las Vegas. (I didn't even know there was a Chinatown area and I've been to Vegas many times). Chinatown area is west of the Strip. Not a terribly attractive area, but I didn't go there to sight see, I came to eat. I found this place on TripAdvisor looking for something different to try on my trip. Basically, this place allows you to pick so many pounds of different kinds of shellfish (crab, shrimp, crawfish etc), choose a sauce and spice level and have them cook your choices in a bag. They then bring the bag(s) of boiled shellfish to your table. You then can dump the contents straight onto your table (clean butcher paper tablecloth) and pick the shells/tails off the seafood and eat it with your hands. Sound messy? It is! But the flavors were awesome and you do get a bib and plenty of napkins. Service was great. My waiter patiently answered this novice's questions and provided prompt service and refills of my soda. A friendly vibe here, with lots of families. Mostly locals, I believe. If you want a change from the boring Strip buffets, try this place out!

A Little Rustic

By casa_linda_7 |

The food was fresh but way over priced for the atmosphere. The place was extremely noisy and the drinks were limited to soda and beer. Not sure I would go back.

2nd time!

By Eh1290 |

Love the food and the experience that comes with it. Bigger restaurant than the LA franchise. Will always come back to when I am in the States. Must order everything with "all she bang sauce" with cajun fries.

Completely Out of this World!

By Tara J |

This place is exactly what we were wanting... we love seafood and this was the perfect place for my husbands birthday...Thomas was our server and he did an awesome job. He explained how the menu worked and he made us fee at home ordering more food than we knew what to do with... we of course thought we were starving and ordered big... it was perfect...the spices were spot on, and the flavors were out of this world...It is a must visit spot if you love seafood like we do...you will not be disappointed!!!

Great seafood and affordable prices

By Tiggerbug |

Been to the Boiling Crab several times already. Cannot get over the freshness of the oysters and the shrimp with their signature sauces are so delicious, not too salty and flavors are just right . The prices are about 4-8 dollars cheaper per order compared to similar seafood restaurant chains. It is no wonder people are willing to patiently wait in line just to eat at this place. Other seafood restaurants should take notice.. It's not how fancy you dress up the place or how much you try to get mileage out of celebrity endorsements. Word of mouth advertising always works best.People will flock to where food is delicious, prices affordable and best of all you do not have to dress fancy to eat there.

Customer service says it all

By Shaun G |

First I would like to say customer service is a big thing to me at Restaurants. I don't care how good the food is. The food is just OK at this one. In my opinion it's gone down hill. I have eaten there before several times and the food was better. This time I went, there was to much oil in the sauce and I could taste that. I went with a group of of about 9 people for my birthday. My wife put our name in for 10 people. She and I were the first ones there. They set up a table for, we saw them do it. So I said can I sit there and have a beer. "No you have to wait for your whole party" very rudely. 5 others of our group came about 10 minutes later, there was 7 of us and they still would not let us sit down. We literally had to stare at the table that they made available for us. I was pretty upset and said lets go to "Hot & Juicy" same type of restaurant (better). Almost everyone was there and they said no no, it's OK. (it's not OK). Finally the other 2 came. 30 minutes for a wait at a table that they had arranged for us. Really? So we order our food in the bags. I told the waiter I wanted only 3 potatoes in each bag 3 bags. He gave us 6 in each bag 18. A lot of my party was eating rice so way to many. I told the waiter why so many? He said yelling at me said no you ordered 6 in each bag! I was shocked and so was everyone else at the table. So I thought OK whatever. So we finish our food and my mom brought a birthday cake. My parents flew in from California, she is elderly. She went to ask the rude girl who sat us if she she had any matches to light the candles, of course she said NO very rudely to my mom as if we were going to burn the place down. I took maters into my own hands and went out to my car to get matches. I will not be going back to this restaurant ever! If like this type of food go to Hot & Juicy, They are way better and not rude and cheaper. Very near too.

Service is the Key!

By Sunjoyjoy |

The servers here are what make this super busy restaurant bearable! We waited for 20 mins at 4pm in the afternoon - which I heard gets craziers as the night progresses. We are quick to get our drinks and the orders were placed within minutes. The food came about 15 mins later and it was very satisfying. To be honest thought, it was not the BEST place I have been to only due to the fact that the Snow Crab was over cooked and flavourless - however the shrimp and sausage were amazing. They served the potatoes whole and they were HUGE.. so the flavours did not get a chance to seep thru. If you are a newb - order 1lb of clams and shrimp plus an order each of the main dishes.. are a little much .. even for 3 people - however it is a place that is great for family and friends to make a mess and leave satisfied!

Love Crab? Must Visit!

By TFagen |

Wow, what a surprise to enjoy an amazing crab dinner, in a bag with absolutely fantastic sauce - we had The Whole Sha-Bang! a mixture of all. Fantastic taste - I had no spice, my colleague had mild and it was great. Started with a dozen oysters. Finished with Dungeness, southern king crab and shrimps. Came back 2 more night! You can;t get the flavor out of your mind.

Delicious seafood

By MonicaNgTn |

This place is a seafood paradise! We ordered king crab and prawn with corn and sausage. We enjoyed it a lot because it's super fresh and yum! Must go if you are a big seafood lover!

Treat to visit for a bib..

Fun and interesting style - eat off the table out of plastic bags full of crayfish :) ... great fried Catfish, lots of taste, lots of heat options. Worth a visit.

Super!!!

By Hamed A |

The best seafood I had in las vegas, the crabs and prawns were amazing and they had different types of sauces....very friendly staff and great atmosphere.

Superb

By rgeulen |

This is a must stop. Off strip but worth the trip. I had the shrimp with she bang sauce and a corn and OMG it was so good. I don’t know what was in that sauce but the flavor was terrific. A lot of customers so had 15-20 minute wait but it was worth it. I will return here next time I go to Vegas. Go you won’t regret it.

The Parkers Take Vegas 2016-Daughte's 24th BDay Celebration

By Angela P |

The Best Place to eat seafood!!! This location should be on the Las Vegas Strip! We rented a car one day to do a tour of the Hoover Dam and after our tour we Googled this location. I'm from Dallas, Tx., and have eaten at that location plenty of times. So, I knew it was a location in Vegas, just didn't know exactly where until we arrived. It's too far to walk and I'm not too familiar with what Bus if there is a Bus that runs to that location....but, it is truly a great seafood place to get your fix!!!

Perfect

A long, expensive and messy experience

By SBVegasAdventures |

I've been here before, the sauce and the food is excellent but it's expensive. We were craving good seafood and decided to return once again but unfortunately, this visit turned into a long, expensive and messy experience so I can't say that I'll be back. The Wait We arrived on a weekend evening around 6:30pm and the place was packed with folks who I can only describe as likely having just received their stimulus/unemployment check. We were told there was up to an hour and a half wait (we expected this since they don't accept reservations). After what seemed like a lifetime, I finally asked the host around 8:30p if they were going to be able to seat us that evening, if not we would come back another day but they seated us right away. Now I get the whole being shorthanded thing like most businesses are these days but not accepting reservations and having people wait over an hour just isn't acceptable. I won’t do it again. The food People come for the food. Its great seafood served with an amazing sauce in a bag that you are expected to just dump on the paper covered table and eat with your hands. It's messy as hell but good. You can also get a variety of sides for an extra cost such as potatoes, corn, sausage, etc and it’s all excellent. If there is a reason to come here, it's the food. The Value Any restaurant who lists a price as "Market Price" is going to be super expensive. Market price usually means it costs whatever some fool is willing to pay. For good seafood, this is how it is and this seafood is good but I had an issue with how it was served. Shrimp is always good and relatively inexpensive but here they're served unpeeled and with heads on which of course, adds to the weight and the price you pay. The sauce the shrimp comes with is amazing but I can assure you, that you won’t be able to peel these slippery little sauce covered things so be prepared to eat shells and legs too. Good thing is after waiting well over an hour, you 'll be hungry enough to eat the bag too. Dungeness crab is a favorite but you can’t order it by the pound. They literally give you an entire crab in a bag so whatever it weighs is the price you pay. Oh and its cooked whole so you’re paying for the shell and the innards as well. Claw crackers are provided but a hot steamed/cooked crab will have a soft shell so the crackers are virtually useless. Its delicious but its going to be very messy and there is a lot less meat than you may think. Bibs are provided and you better use them if you don’t want sauce on your shirt. The Service Service was excellent despite the place being packed so no complaints here. Server was friendly and ensured we had plenty of water. Price averaged $40 per person and with the wait and value for what we got, I'm sorry, we won't be back.

Great shrimp

By NYPanda888 |

Due to social distancing, there are fewer tables available so even though I arrived a few min after opening, there was already a line up and I needed to wait another 15 min. Once inside, I ordered shrimp and crab. The shrimp was great, fresh and delicious but I wasn’t as impressed with the crab. It tasted like it had been reheated after being frozen, meat was a bit dry.

Mother's Day lunch

By 827NeL |

This was the first time our family came to this restaurant. I must say the service we received was excellent! Our waiter was very attentive and friendly considering the place was quite busy. The king crabs, shrimps and calamari we ordered were very tasty. Good food, great experience!!

Still Delicious!

By RainbowCowboy |

This was the second time we had Boiling Crab and it was just as good as before. This time, we got the mild and it was just the right amount of heat for most of us. The Shabang was the most flavorful of course. We had our order for to go. Would love to go again soon!

Lots of Crab

By Chiefbuff |

This place is always busy and even with lots of open tables you have to wait because of how they distribute their staff. Their are numerous seafood choices to tempt your palate. Prices are in line for fresh seafood. Their are a few ways to order but not many non fish choices. Prep choices are kind of limited on how the crab etc are prepared so you have to get used to that. The crabs come served in a plastic bag smothered in your spice choices. When you eat it is messy and so be prepared to get sticky. If you like good crab this is a place to try. The hours are a little later so no early lunch here.

Excellent crab and shrimp

By LThomas1301 |

No reservations, but not too long a wait on weekdays. Monday night was 25 mins for party of 6. The paper covered table is your plate. The crab and shrimp were fresh and very flavorful. The seasonings were blended well and delicious. Spice levels are deceiving; mild is a bit spicy. Med very spicy but all very, very good especially with the corn or potatoes in your bag. Didn’t like all the work needed to get to your food. As fresh as can be in the shells. If you’re not good at it, you can lose some costly seafood. They were out of lobster unfortunately. Fried shrimp and calamari ok. Fried Shrimp a let down especially with the excellent steamed ones. Stick to the steamed or boiled. It’s excellent. Whole shabang mix is great - all 3 flavors combined. This is a must visit if you love seafood and can handle the work to get to the goods.

Amazing flavors

Went for dinner off the strip It was great, casual atmosphere, friendly service Would recommend to anyone

Messy crabs

By Morrisnc |

Wow, felt really weird eating my food out of a bag and without utensils. Regardless, it was awesome, no complaints regarding food at all. Minor issue s, long wait to get in and music so loud can't hear yourself think.

Tasty Seafood

By FM6565 |

Get your bib! Flavor seafood you can eat with your hands. The spicy shrimp, fried calmari and sweet potato fries are real winners.

Get ur shrimp on

By Marilyn s |

Birthday was just a few days ago, went here for my dinner with my family the food and the service was good, only problem it was so many people waiting too be seated it took the hostess about 15-20 mins to get us a table.

Different dining experience

By MCL143 |

Be ready for a different dining experience . Like its name, food mostly of crabs in addition to other seafood & shellfish like shrimps, oysters, calamari, etc. They also serve chicken tenders, fries & rice. Food is good. Crabs & shrimps are prepared & served to your table in clear plastic bags immersed in different sauces of your choice from mild to hot & spicy. They do not serve plates or utensils, but you may ask for plastic forks & spoons. The tables have papers that serve as your plates where you place your food & eat off with your fingers. It can get messy, but they allow you to wear a plastic bib. The servers are friendly. There could be a wait for a table especially during dinner time. Because it's a seafood restaurant, the prices are not cheap, but not too expensive. Service generally good, but last time we had a long wait as our order was not submitted properly .

Not too bad

By laceyworks |

We went on a Monday night and it was very busy. There was a 10 minute wait to be seated, which wasn’t bad. We ordered fried catfish with fries, cokes and one ear of corn. I was a little surprised when they were walking around with these buckets passing out things that you ordered in plastic bags. Like the corn on a cob ... I requested butter, but it was more like butter flavored oil. There are no salt and pepper shakers on the table. Their large butcher paper table covers are a great idea for cleaning the table in one swipe to get the table ready very quickly for the next guest. Love the bibs, though we didn’t use them. It was very noisy. The layout is a huge open room with tables, like a cafeteria, so nothing to block the sound. Overall we enjoyed it and would eat here again.

Seafood Delight

By NK1 |

Fresh and tasty seafood menu; a little pricey but worth it. Helpful staff to assist in the selection of entree. Enjoyable experience.

Mmmmm Seafood

By Parris F |

Wife and I stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon and was seated immediately on our first visit to Boiling Crab. Host was very welcoming. She was happy to explain and answer any questions that we had about the menu and dining process, plus offered a few recommendations. Ordered a bowl of Cajun Chowder for ($8). The tomato based soup was tasty, but a very small portion for the price. Had a pound bag of mussels and a pound bag of shrimp prepared mild with the The Whole She-Bang and threw in a few potatoes and corn. The spices were very addictive and added a nice texture to the whole bag. The mild choice did have some kick and heat. Shrimp are quite large and head on.Mussels were a good size, as well. Basically, except for the chowder, everything is eaten with your hands. We did ask ask the price of crab. Snow crab was about $21 for three legs. King Crab ran $45 or more. Needless to say, we passed on adding those options. Dinner for 2 came to around $40 before tax and tip. Next time we would probably order differently, adding more shrimp, potatoes and corn. Foregoing the small sample of chowder. Service was excellent and the overall experience will get us to return.

They can also consider calling themselves Boiling Lobster!

By jrocker7 |

Wow, having eaten at their OC branch, we were blown away by how Boiling Crab manages to keep its winning formula going in the middle of a desert! I went for a "small" lobster, and wound up with a monstrous 1.8 pounder (the key is to get the lemon and pepper sauce in medium). Clearly, small is a relative term in America. My wife was drooling over her King Crab, and the clams were delicious. The Cajun chowder is a little pricey at $9, but worth a try, particularly if split between two people. Extra marks for bringing live seafood to the desert, compared to the disappointing Hot n' Juicy "dead" Crawfish that is its chief rival. It ain't cheap at $120 for two including tip, but is atill worlds cheaper than anything you will find of half comparable quality on the Strip!

Super delicious and tasty CREOLE SEAFOOD!!

By somethingeneric |

A local recommended this place over Hot n' Juicy so we decided to check it out! I really enjoyed my experience here. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly during out whole experience. They call a cab on our behalf and that's great service from the restaurant! The crawfish, shrimp and clams were so delicious!!! We ordered steam rice on the side and mixed with the Cajun sauce. IT WAS SO DELICIOUS!!! The rice with the sauce was so heavenly! Something about the sauce makes the rice so good. I would come back here when I come back to Vegas. So delicious!!

A Great Place for Seafood Lovers!

By sunsun69s |

We picked Combo 6 from the menu ($98) and the portion was "big" considering each constituent ingredient (king crab legs, green mussels, prawns, sausages, etc) came at 1 lb. The seafood was very fresh even for me as a very picky gourmet expert. The seafood bread is free (on the house)~! Highly recommended for any seafood lovers!

Great taste and fun

By Hany Harb |

That was our 1st visit to boiling crab and the place was about 10 minutes driving from Las Veges blvd. we went at 4:30 and the place was Half empty and therefore the service was quick, we ordered shrimp, whole crab, crab legs, fried shrimp and lobster. The tastes was spicy and delicus and the eating experience was fun.

We come here every time we are in Vegas

By Coralee W |

So good! I love the garlic sauce with everything!! To top this delicious meal off the staff are alway super friendly and helpful!

Was not sure

By Miley02 |

The place looked so rugged and was not sure if the food was good so I just ordered shrimps and there was nothing great. Line was long too I don't know why...

Good stuff

By shante C |

This place was recommended to us by our Uber driver and we could see why. It was really good food the price was average for these kinds of places. The food was great I convinced my friend to try oysters for the first time here (she hated them) it was very crowded but great, fun vibes. I just wish they sold more than beer.

Delicious food, so-so service, expensive prices

By SBVegasAdventures |

Stopped in at the recommendation of family members to try the food. Restaurant was about half-full and we had a 10-15 min wait. Then we waited some more once seated. Staff was cordial but didn't go out of their way. Biggest issue I had was they brought the food for all others in my party but my meal was brought out approximately 5 minutes after all the others started eating. (Note to waitstaff: Making the person who pays the bill wait while all the others eat will seriously reduce the amount you are tipped). About the food. Menu is limited, don't expect burgers or sandwiches here, this is a seafood only joint. You choose your seafood, then how you want it cooked, then chose your sides (all of which cost extra). Most seafood is listed at "Market Price" which means it is always horribly expensive. For this visit, I chose the shrimp and I think it was with the Garlic Sauce. It's served in a plastic bag and you are expected to eat with your hands. I had no issue with this but don't think for a minute that you'll be able to peel shrimp this way without making the mother of all messes. I just ate them shell and all but it would have been nice to have them peeled before cooking but not a big deal. Final Thoughts? Yes, the food is worth the hype. The sauce the shrimp came in was to die for and a pound went a long way. Extras such as potatoes and sausage make a big difference. I would go again just for the food but only for the food. Service including wait times were not that great and prices were horribly expensive.

WOW !! Loved it

By DJR |

Get there early as the lines are a killer. A bit pricey but soooo good. Never had a shrimp cook liked this, spicy, service was great. Absolutely going bank though.

shrimps all around

By sheila a |

Great food. First time for me and my husband ordered what he usually gets. Tried the gumbo, didn't like it that much. I did enjoy the shrimps, sausage, clams, side white rice, and sweet potato fries. The seasoning you have to get is the whole sha-bang. It's messy but fun to eat.

Best Boiling Crab Experience

By AdiahaTraveler |

I live in LA and we have Boiling Crab here. I go to Boiling Crab at least twice a month because here in LA the wait time is crazy (but worth it) but for some reason this location tasted 10 times better! I will never visit Las Vegas without eating here again. There was no wait time in the middle of the day which I didn't even think was possible and the staff was amazing. Prices are too good to be true. The food was out of this world and it felt like my first boiling crab experience all over again. Everyone needs to experience this place (AND this location) at least once, you won't be disappointed.

Just ok

By Susan S |

I had the southern crab legs with their special sauce. I wasn’t crazy about the spices and I guess I’m not a fan of taking the meat out of the shell on the crabs to begin with. There was a 25 minute wait. It is loud. So overall just ok in my book.

BIRTHDAY TREAT

By NASHEMAN A |

Having the chance to celebrate my birthday with this incredible food and abundance, I highly recommend everyone try this retreat.

Off the beaten path and worth it!

By DuncanMac69 |

We needed someone who knew the area to direct us to the Boiling Crab! Wonderful. Prices is $$$1/2 Service was great! Food a plenty. Large meaty oysters on the half shell from the gulf. Full shrimp! Allows for different tastes. Horseradish was very hot! Worth the trek!

Very good Dungeness crab

By mike t |

It is hard to find a good crab place anymore, but we found another place ! You could probably skip the calamari and maybe have fries clams for an appetizer.

Not Joe’s

By LizyLizy |

So second time here, and less impressed. I really love the way Joe’s CrabShack used to do things but there are gone now so looking for a replacement. My friend recieved at least 8 empty clam shells in her bag. And as they charge by the pound that was outrageous. My crab was pretty small for the type and just not impressive. So not horrible but not enough to get me back.

Felt Like I was at home

By Lanard L |

Was my first time here, and I LOVED IT. Made feel like I was back down south in Florida at a good ole' crab boil. It took me back to being with family , the fun, and the laughter. I will go back again when I go visit Vegas again

Birthday trip

By Catrina M |

We ordered fried shrimp, steamed shrimp and king crab legs in medium heat. Everything was delicious. Our server was attentive and the picture will speak for itself.

First Time for Crawfish

By ytranger |

We saw a restaurant advertising crawfish on the strip, and having never tried it, we really wanted to while we were in town. Already by the end of day 1 on our Vegas trip we realized that prices and variety were so much better off the strip, so we searched online for an alternative to anything on the strip and found this place! Basically all you get here is seafood, very little veggies except for boiled corn, and boiled potatoes. I believe you can also get french fries, and yam fries, but don't expect salad, at least I don't recall seeing it on the menu. We had a pound of fresh crawfish, and a pound of fresh shrimp, along with some corn and potatoes, traditionally seasoned to about medium heat. This is all served in a bag, and you eat it out of the bag with your hands! Great fun, they also offer you a plastic bib, and of course the table has a fresh wax paper table cover...that's right, no plates either! The food was tasty, since this was our first time with crawfish, not sure if they were better than average or not, but we polished them off quickly. The shrimp were HUGE, and tasty! The corn sufferd from being boiled too long, but the potatoes were good. Service was quick, everyone seemed real nice, and as we walked to our table with our server, all of the staff behind the food prep line welcomed us, I though that was pretty cool. I think we paid about $50.00 that included two beer and tips, very reasonable for fresh seafood, market price.

Amazing amazing amazing

By sarahmascara33 |

I can not stop talking about this place! We went here bc my nail guy recommended us to go bc of our love of seafood. He told us to get the whole shebang, boy was he right! Atmosphere- the walls are lined with scribbles of sharpee where guest can write their name or whatever on the wooden beams, very sea feel to it with nets and things hanging. Though it was so strange to see that a camera was at every table for surveillance? Maybe they have a lot of fine and dashers? Service- on point! Gave recommendations, bc I had no clue what the different crab legs were, always refilled drinks and was on top of it. He was great. The whole staff seemed to enjoy working there too, they all had a smile on their face! Food- I can't not express how amazing the seafood it. There are so many flavors and it was heaven in my mouth. The whole shebang, medium was the right amount of spice. I could taste the garlic in every bite. Amazing Price- not terrible. My husband and I left stuffed and walked away spending $75 tip included! Do yourself a favor get off the strip and uber here. So worth it!

Best seafood

By Khoa N |

Everytime i come to vegas. The boiling crab is a must stop for seafood. The variety of shellfish and the flavoring sauces are awesome. Your meal comes in a bag and you dig in barbaric style. The wait can be up to hour on the weekend nights.

A winner hands down!

By Alfonso4123 |

If you think that eating with your hands is gluttony, and you enjoy it, you have come to the right place. Not only is it an experience for most Western travelers, the food here is fantastic!

Always delicious, and a fun experience too

By Pete L. |

My wife and I love coming here again and again because the food, service and atmosphere are always tops. It's a fun place to be and there's plenty of excellent menu choices. We like the plastic bags approach to some of the messier items, unlike other places that just dump everything out on the table. The servers are very attentive. There's usually a wait for a table but it is totally worth it. You can't go wrong here.

Great seafood

By LAtravelbug_11 |

Had friends over and decided to treat them to dinner here. Does not fail to impress. Be ready to get messy. Sweet potato fries are very good.

a must for me always

By Jon R |

I always come here every time I'm in town, my favorite 2 lbs shrimp cha bang style , the gumbo with rice is phenomenal , just be prepared for minimum 45 min wait time but it's worth it !

Amazing!

By Jessica G |

I usually go to the Boiling Crab in San Diego or OC. But this was our first visit here. It was amazing like the other places. Just glad we knew about it. Who doesn't love their "Whole Shebang" seasoning and their delicious sausage.

Fun time, good food

By James P |

Amazing menu, the service was excellent, the presentation was fun (served in a bag) you eat with your fingers, the food was excellent.

Seafood lovers

By AngryAsianGirl88 |

I thought the service was great - thanks AJ. as well as the items we ordered...dungeoness crab, snow crab, shrimp, crawfish, clams etc..we left rolling. We paid 150 for this meal which would be twice the price back home. Family friendly environment!

prepare to get messy

By midlandtrvlr |

This is a small place . You may have to wait. You just order what seafood you want, what sauce and what seasoning. Then they bring it steamed in bag with plastic gloves and a bib. You peel, you eat. One thing I'd change is to offer red sauce for the shrimp or oysters instead of just tabasco.

Not as good as before

By jcyh13 |

The frozen crawfish did not taste good at all. The clams were undercooked. This place is not as good as before.

Delicious and Cool Place

By K M |

You have to make sure that you make reservations during weekend dinner. Lunch on weekends and weekdays are ok for line. The place is huge and people usually eat here for more than 2 hours. All seafood and all side dishes are great. Blue Crab is not available during January-March. So we ate King Crab instead. Shebang and Butter Garlic flavors are very good. My friends and I likes spicy sauce so we ordered the medium spicy. Bottomless raspberry iced tea was great for all of the food we ate. It was a great experience eating here. Although this is far from the strip, we grabbed uber to go here which is roughly $5-6 until the middle of the strip (Planet Hollywood). Servers are alert and friendly. They will explain to you how the orders and cooking goes if it's your first time to eat at Boiling Crab!

Big Tadte, Big Mess and Big Fun

By Mike O |

Shrimp, clams, sausage, potatoes and rice all around. This is a fun place. Boiled in a bag, eat with your hands and throw the debris on the table. There something about eating food with juice running down to your elbows. Good food and good service make it even better. Be sure to get rice, you will need something to put all that left over bag juice on. Don't wanna waste that.

Great Place, Awesome Concept, Great Service and Even better Food!

By Alan M |

Highlight of our dining experiences during our Vegas trip! Seafood and even the gumbo was full of flavor and plentiful at a very reasonable price! Thanks for a great experience!

Downgrade!

By coneheadsic |

We've been to this place many times (last time in Jan.). Our latest visit was disappointing. It seemed that there was a definite changeover in ownership, service & food preparation. The service was slow this time, having to wait a while for our food. There was a complete change of staff, and the servers didn't seem to work well together. The friendliness among the workers were also absent. The degree of spiciness was also off. Overall, it was not a good dining experience this time.

Fun and Good flavors

By Got22Go |

Went here for date night. Walked into a full and lively place. Greeted immediately and place our name on the list. Granted it was Thursday night but the place was packed. And the great flavors were wafting in the air. There were many televisions with various sports games on. After looking over the menu and getting the rundown on how to order, we picked fresh oysters, king crab legs, clams and pepper fries. Everything was delicious. Just the right heat from the spice (we got medium 7-8). Wait staff was pleasant, helpful and friendly. The price of the meal was pretty incredible too. Including tip, drinks and all the food already mentioned the total was less than $90 for two. We were filled up the right amount had fun using our hands, interacting with our food and enjoying the night. From the moment we sat down to the end our mouths were watering and dug right in when it came. So we didn't take any photos, lol

Shrimp in She-bang sauce.

By EatCookTravel |

Pick your shellfish then one of four sauces then the level of spiciness. You can order by the pound (only shrimp and sausage by the 1/2 lb). Crab, lobster, snow crab are market price. Shrimp $11.95/lb, clams, mussels $10/lb. Sides include fries, corn on the cob, rice. The shellfish come prepared in a plastic bag to be eaten on the table covered with wax paper. Sauces are great, strong but somehow you can still taste the delicate taste of the shellfish. Good stuff.

Delicious!

By Famidee |

Visited this location last week prior to Labor Day weekend and we really enjoyed it. I got snow crabs with mushrooms, corn and potatoes in all 3 sauces. and my family got the fried shrimps with Fries that was awesome. Just be advised the mild hot sauce is pretty hot! I recommend the lime or garlic sauce, unless you love spicy. The place was packed with a smile on everyone’s face. Average wait time for seating was about 20min. We chose take out and were happy.

So good. A must try.

By Janet R |

The service was very good. When we walked in we were greeted friendly and seated quickly. The server was incredibly helpful and nice answering all questions with a smile. The food was not quite was expected but so so good. Would definitely go back again.

Family dinner with my east coast relitives. We had a seafood buffett! A fried blue soft shell crab, king crab legs, boiled shrimp and fried shrimp. EVERYTHING was good, the service, the food, the atmosphere is fun and the cocktail sauce is a spicy blob of heaven. You must go here for crab and shrimp! very reasonable prices for fresh jumbo shrimp.

One of the best places for seafood in Las Vegas. Great staff and nice atmosphere. Will be back soon..

It's good...

By Iambarbaraj |

I went to a similar place like this and I have to say, I was disappointed in the flavor and quality here because of my prior experience. Yes they have more seafood options but it didn't grab me. It's a nice place to "go back again" place. The service was nice and the waiter Christian was very friendly.

A meal of messy goodness

By JY_Globetrotter |

Took a cab from The Strip to Decatur Blvd. for this meal. They let us know right at the beginning that they didn't have fresh crawfish or blue crab. For us four girls, we ordered a dozen of the Gulf of Mexico oysters, pound of shrimp, pound of crawfish, catfish with cajun fries and dungeness crab. Would definitely say that the crab was the highlight of my meal. We requested it plain boiled and served with a side of butter. Delish. Crawfish and shrimp were well flavored and I loved the cajun fries that came with the catfish. Found the oysters lacking in flavor compared to the usual Pacific and East coast varietals. I found the service a bit lacking at the end. As international tourists, we don't have a US phone plan so we kindly asked the server if the restaurant can call us a cab. Server redirected us to the front staff who then told us that they don't call cabs for customers. Ended up across the parking lot at a supermarket where some lovely ladies who worked there called us a taxi.

The Boiling Crab over priced

By staystrong671 |

Long wait over 2 hours, people outside, no seats for most waiting. Fried oysters was $10 for 4-5 small, less than 1/2 cup amount. Server said it was all weighed and out of her control and took order back. Said she would take it it off ticket, but she didnt. We had to ask after final bill brought. Be prepared to eat gumbo with your hands, I had to ask for a spoon or fork. All food is in a bag, no plates. Bibs are given.

Just OK and Pricey

By Kyivguy |

I just made my third visit to TBC because of the insistence of an acquaintance. The food is okay but nothing to go out of your way for. It is definitely not Louisiana style and when I requested some sauce for the soft shelled crab, I was informed that it would be an additional two dollars for approximately 1-2 ozs. They're currently serving frozen Crawfish that are mealy. If you really want Cajun go to Lola's two locations.

cleaning crab

By sandy2095 |

they do not crack or clean Dungeness crab they serve it hot and the customer is expected to clean and crack-this is the only place that serves crab this way and it is messy and too hot to handle

The food here is awesome . Prepare to get messy and dont wear your best clothes. Absolutely a must in Vegas . Crab , shrimp, crawfish , catfish .....wicked

Great !!

By Sayem A |

I always love crabs. But they are the best. They have the world best boiling crab.Yummy!Next time I will go with my family.

This place is like no other..Absolutely Delicious!!!!

By Alicia C |

This was my first time ever eating here and it was the best seafood experience I ever had. This place I highly recommend to all. You even have the option of no spice or different flavor seasonings. Customer Service is friendly and fast. I can go on and on, but all I really need to say is that the food here is simply amazing. The prices are affordable also.

Be prepared for a communal experience.

By JerryandPatty |

An interesting place to say the least. No utensils means you need to show up with clean hands. Service and food are OK but know in advance that the place is big and loud with lots of kids and families. Did I mention that, with the exception of beer, no alcohol is served? Also, you'll ordinarily have to wait especially on weekends. Definitely not a "date night" place.

great experience

By Lisa H |

Great relaxed atmosphere. You eat with your hands and wear a bib. Very fun energetic place. Food is great! Fresh seafood. The wait was a little long but worth it.

Something Different

By Chiminee |

We came out to spend some time with family who live out here and this is one of their favorite places to eat. Now I don't like seafood so I am just speaking from the exclamations of my wife who seriously does. First, we are from Maryland so these crabs are definitely different than what we are used to here. If you are into seafood and haven't tried Maryland crabs, you should. She got the shrimp, crawdads and snow crab legs and was raving about all of it. She said that she got the mild seasoning and found it to be pretty spicy. She generally likes spicy food but said that she wouldn't have wanted it any hotter than it was. I got the chicken tenders myself and let me just tell you that they aren't anything to be missed. I would go back here again just to have their tenders, they were that good. I guess they figured out that there were people who ultimately don't like seafood and would want something else so they do the tenders and do it well. If I lived out here my wife would definitely appreciate that I could look forward to eating here rather than hear me whine that they don't have anything I'd want to eat. Good move on this establishments part. Those tenders were flavorful, juicy, and just felt like someone took the time to make sure they were as good as anything else you'd get there.

Do NoT ORDER takeout

By bobaGurl |

I love boiling crab. I’ve been eating there for years . I always come back due to great service and great food . So why the 2 stars? Since the mandated restaurant restrictions I’ve been doing pick ups. This is my first experience doing pick up with Boiling crab. It starts easy, I call and make the order. Phone line is busy so it took me 30min to get thru. I get a text msg , order is ready for pick-up. I arrive at the restaurant. I walk into the “to-go order “ . That side is ONLY for ordering 🤔There’s 3 cashiers .Standing there , there’s no customers. They tell me the pick up line is outside next to the reservation line. There’s already 4 ppl ahead of me waiting for their pick-up. I’m not kidding 30mins later I’m still waiting in line in 50degree weather. 30mins since I received a text saying my order is ready. I approached the host because NO one cares to address why the pick up line is barely moving. He told me only one person can enter at a time . So I’m telling him I’m confused since I got text msg 30min ago that my order is ready for pickup. How can it possibly take this long for them to process a pickup? It should be simple , arrive , pay and leave ? So what is going on? He doesn’t know why so he said he will bring out a manager. 5 min later .. ( I moved up the line behind 2 other ppl.. and 40mins later ) Comes out a 20ish yr old female manager. ( Valerie ) She explains theres been alot of things going on in the kitchen. Alot of trainees, only 1 pickup order can enter at at time. I’m literally annoyed , bc it’s obvious she lacks experience, organization and priorities. I tell her Ive been waiting in line for 40mins! Why send me a text that my order is ready for pick up and make me wait 40mins to pick it up?!! So I had to ask “ so why does it takes over 15min for the next pick person to enter ? She said bc the cashier are trainees. I said “I saw you guys laughing in the kitchen while the cashiers were just hanging out at the register “. She didn’t have any explanation, but I did finally get my order 55mins later. For once in my life , I didn’t leave a tip because I felt they didn’t care about their customers. And their management and leaders lack experience in customer service and priorities. Definitely will NOT order pick up ever again until they prioritize and manage their services. Here’s an idea: update your text msg app . Let’s us know when it’s actually READY for pick up so no one has to wait 55mins in the cold . BTW, my food was cold . Update : I sent an email to their corporate office . I won’t be coming back again . Problems really starts at their corporate office . See pic.

Definitely worth a visit!!

Everything we ordered that day was yummy - we had the corn on the cob, calamari, crawfish, whole crab and crab legs in The Whole Sha-Bang(TM) and all of us enjoyed every mouthful!! Coming from Singapore where black pepper crab and chilli crab are famous (and well worth the hype!), this was a very different way to enjoy crab - sweet and sour and spicy and served in large plastic bags - you just pick it out with your fingers and tuck right in! The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful - we had a lot of trouble getting a cab out of there and they spent almost an hour on the phone trying to secure one for us. Really appreciate it! xo I would so definitely go back again the next time I'm there! Two thumbs up!

Great Cajun Seafood

By Steve O |

We arrived on a weekday when they opened at 3pm, and they were quite busy! Wonderful concept - you choose the seafood, choose the spice level, and your food is served in a bag at your table! We thoroughly enjoyed the Gumbo, Shrimp, King Crab & Sausage! They also have tasty choices for non-seafood eating folks. Bibs are provided - necessary and fun!

Tasty crab , 1 hour wait

By beagle1984 |

The king crab ($26 / lb) was excellent though some of the shrimp were over-cooked. The gumbo and Cajun fries were also excellent. If you don't mind eating / pealing you food with your hands then this is the place for you since the meal did not come with plates since the seafood was served in plastic bags.

Very good crawfish, shrimp, sausage, and crab!

By Jason S |

I got to say this place is really good, and did a tremendous job on their boils. Wife and cousin both just had the snow crab and it’s by the pound so choose wisely. They offer some great flavoring such as: plain (butter) Cajun, garlic real garlic, spicy, or the whole shabang ( all 3). I ordered frozen crawfish, shrimp, and sausage great value and it was so good. Service was excellent, everything is a la carte, pricing varies on market value so make wise choices. They offer kid choices like chicken fingers and fries or shrimp and fries. I definitely recommend this spot for a good crab boil.

The most messiest but yet amazing meal!

By Alexandria |

The menu is simple to the point pick what you want (crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, etc,) pick how much you want (1/2 lb or lbs), pick your spice and before you know it you're ready to dig in and get messy!! The wait is totally worth it, which was less than 25 minutes so not too bad. I recommend getting the calamari, chicken wings, XXX spice on crab and shrimp along with a cob of corn and a few potatoes. It was so good we had to double back and come back for dinner 2 nights in a row!! I'm so sad I live so far away from TBC, however it left us with an amazing dining experience !! And they had great service!!

Not a place to pass up

By Brittany H |

Went here for the first time with friends. The staff is super friendly and the over all experience was just fun. When you order make sure you order your shrimp with the whole shabang sauce. You can't mind eating with your hands and it does get messy! I wish I were in town longer, I would come back here more than once during a trip. Wish there was a Boiling Crab Restaurant in my neighborhood!

Best Crab legs and shrimp

By ImaHappyTraveler702 |

This place is AWESOME. GREAT food, great atmosphere and service. You can pick what you want, the spices and how spicy/not spicy you want. This place also, serves alcohol. One suggestion....bring your own gloves - you'll be getting messy, as you eat with your hands.

Delicious

By Darren T |

Yum, Yum and YUM. What a fun and tasty experience. It was our first time eating at the Boiling Crab. We ordered the fresh crawfish and shrimp in the whole shabang mild seasoning. We had a side of rice and sweet potato to go along with it. It was delicious. We got to use our hands to eat and have a good time. The shrimp and crawfish were juicy and fresh, and the hint of spice was fantastic. Our server Joanne was great. Fun personality and always made sure our drinks were full. This will become a staple each time we come to Las Vegas.

King crab legs yummers

I had a pound of sausage in medium hot sauce. Ans a shrimp basket. My friends had crab legs corn on the cob and shrimp. When you decide to go you'll notice that none of the waitresses wear hair nets.. wit h that being said, my friend found a long piece of hair in his food

Amazing!!!

By Holly_A_Honey |

The Boiling Crab was one of the best seafood restaurants I've ever been to along with the most fun atmosphere! The menu is simple, offering a variety of steamed or boiled seafood with a few options for fried food. I ordered the king crab legs and my husband ordered the fried shrimp. Both were excellent!! The crab legs came in a simple plastic bag, as do most all of their dishes. It's super messy, but you just dump the seafood on the table and eat. My husband's fried shrimp did come in a basket. I will definitely be returning!!!

Yum!

If you are looking for quality seafood, great flavors and a fun way to eat it all - this is the place to go!

Excellent Food and Customer Service!!!

By MaCece P |

I am a critique of food and customer service. I give Boiling Crab a 5 Star, the food was amazing, I ordered King Crab, Shrimps and Catfish with potatoes, corn, sweet potatoes and rice. The best of King crab, the service was excellent, our server was so attentive, and made sure we got what we needed and answered all our questions. They were so helpful.

Yummy!

By Tammie_McD |

It's messy, it's decadent and it's not to be missed. Get off the strip and get your hands dirty! Seriously girls, take off your rings before digging in. The "whole shebang" was recommended and was excellent.

Oh so good

By donnic0817 |

It was a different kind of seafood restaurant since your meal comes in a bag which is how they cook it. So many choices of seafood and the way they season it to the type of spices you want. I choose the shrimp with garlic not spicy with corn. I was surprised that the shrimp still had the heads on cause we don't see that in NJ. What a great meal. I love seafood but I couldn't finish cause they gave you so much. We also ordered the calamari which was amazing as well. I would definitely return when in Vegas

Picked the wrong night

By ssumi |

Go there at 5:30 on a Saturday night. Told us there was a 40 minute wait. Prominent sign at the check-in desk that they will not seat you until your whole party is there. Except for the party of 100+ cheerleaders - we waited 1 hour to be seated and the large party still hadn't started eating as they were trickling in for over an hour. They had so many people waiting to be seated - they could have probably served all of us and then gave the table to the cheerleaders. Pick your protein and your seasoning and it comes to your table in a plastic bag and you eat with your friends. The food was good but that very long wait was unnecessary. Hold groups to the same rules you hold for parties of 5.

The best seafood

By Mathmomma |

This restaurant is off the Strip. We came across it by accident a few years ago. Whenever we are in Las Vegas we try to go. You generally have to wait a little bit but it is worth it. The shrimp and snow crab are our favorites. Yes you eat with your hands and do get messy (they give you plenty of napkins and a bib). Add boiled potatoes and you will have a feast. We get the shrimp and crab in the whole shebang medium. Lots of garlic!!!

So messy, I want to go back

By Drew D |

We enjoyed the king crab claw, the cray fish and corn on the cob on the side, as soon as I find out I can use my hand(literally) to eat here, I almost got wet because of the excitement. I talked to my wife after dessert.

Dissatisfied

By Rose C |

Our server Dereain was not very friendly. He did not even came to check on us, see if we need anything. I asked for a bag for our leftovers but he made us wait for a long time.

Great Food and Great ambience

By Asheen J |

We decided to eat here on our way out of town. We were seated immediately and proceeded to view the menu. The waitress came around and put bibs on our party and took our order. The wings were great as were the Gump and Chowder. We didn't try the crab itself as they were out of the Dungeness Crab and Blue Crab. The fries were served with most of the baskets and were tasty with the cajun seasoning. Don't order the lemon pepper. Stick with the Cajun for any seasoning.

Good food and service

By Joycelim9 |

We had to wait for more than an hour before we got our table. You have to make sure that everybody is present before they release the table to you. The staff were friendly and casual, and the food was great. It was a great way to have casual dinner with friends.

Crab and shrimp heaven

By Maria V |

If you love eating shrimp with Cajun, mild, garlic, or triple hot favors, this is the place for you. They cook the shrimp and crab in the boilers, and when it is served to you, it is in a bag, to preserve the flavors. The crab and or shrimp and sauce in the bag is excellent! There are other sides and they have tea or soda for drinks. There is also chicken tender baskets or catfish baskets. Seafood fanatics will love this place - for crab and or shrimp, it is my new number one!

Loved this place!

By Scott D |

Just a few minutes off the strip and worth the drive. I really enjoyed the freshness of everything I tasted. King and snow crab were steamed to perfection! Oysters were large and very fresh considering the location. Overall, the only complaints is that they don't have crackers for the oysters or gumbo.

Disappointed

By R0d71 |

We heard good things about this place, but when we arrived it was not what we expected. 1. We understand that we have a max seating of 4 per table. 2. There were 2 tables next to each other but the hosts refused to allow us to sit next to each other. We had to sit at each end of the restaurant away from each other. 3. Our server was Helica and she was a bit snobbish and we had to ask another waiter for drink refills.

Great Food

By Page2302 |

Had been told about this place by an Uber driver. Turned up one evening and was told there was a twenty minute wait for a table. No issue with that. Got sat down and ordered a bag of shrimp (prawns) and fried catfish with lemon salt fries (chips). The prawns were delicious and the sauce just made it. The catfish was a revelation. I’d never had it before but wanted to try and it was unbelievably good. I just hope we get these fish in England sometime because they are amazingly tasty.

Amazing sauce :)

Went here for a late lunch.i ordered shrimp with the whole sha bang sauce. Its so delicious. The service is a five star. The server always ask us what we need. I will be back for sure. By the way nice concept. Definitely will be back. I hope we have boiling crab in central cali.

Seafood with a Kick

By WonderWoman1975 |

My hubby was eager to try this restaurant, based on online reviews and commentary that he'd seen on t.v. We arrived on a Thursday at 3:00pm (right when they open). Our waiter, Tommy (who was fabulous, by the way) let us know we were smart to arrive when we did. They are usually packed and have a line waiting out the door on evenings and weekends. In fact, we saw the place fill up pretty quickly, shortly after we arrived (and again, it was a Thursday). When you're seated, they cover the table in paper and tie a plastic bib around your neck. Get ready to be messy! We asked Tommy about the menu and how to go about ordering. Hubby opted for the fried catfish basket with Cajun fries, while I ordered the snow crab leg bag with potatoes, sausage and corn. At Tommy's recommendation, I seasoned with "The Whole Sha-bang", which marries all of their base seasonings together. Be aware that the "catch" is based on market prices. My pound of crab legs was approximately $22 for the meal. Hubby's catfish came out first and we dove in while waiting for the crab legs. The catfish was seasoned well and was tender and flaky - nice large pieces (about four, I think) and the fries were heavenly. Hubby kept wondering if he should order more. Another server brought out a bucket with, not only my order, but others as well. The crab legs (and all the fixings) are in a bag placed in front of you. The aroma of lemon, garlic and cajun seasonings hit me immediately. The sausage was barely visible, buried beneath all of the magic in the bag. After a few crab legs and other items, we were suitably full (and hubby didn't order more fries). Everything was fabulous! I couldn't believe how flavorful everything was. I truly understand why they have the reputation they have. I'd definitely come back (despite how messy you get). Funny enough, I saw a lot of people dressed up and digging in happily. I guess it works just fine as a date-place, too.

Amazing!

I love "The Boil" in New York (not affiliated) same concept. I have to say this place beats the boil hands down. I cant wait to return!

So so

By Phogotaboutit |

My husband & I waited an hour & a half to get a table for dinner. It was 7:30pm or so, & they were out of blue crabs, crawfish & a few others. I really wanted crabs so I ordered the female blue crab. IT was a big mistake! Had 2 females which weighed in at .9 pounds for two! Too small..hardly worth the effort. The shrimp was overcooked. The fried oysters were good that we had seconds. My husband was satisfied with his steamed lobster though. Overall, I was disappointed with our dinner. The best part was the staff. They were so nice & courteous. It would be nice if the restaurant could come up with better ways to serve the food other than in plastic bags. Lots of plastic wastes.

Amazing!!!

By SAPDBlue |

From Texas and have been craving a shrimp boil. Googled "shrimp boil in Las Vagas" and The Boiling Crab showed up. There were nothing but positive reviews, so we decided to give it s try. Positive all around!!! When you walk in, everyone greets you. From wait staff, cooks, to bussers. It was a very friendly atmosphere and everyone seemed happy. Our waiter, Joey, knew what we would want when we told him we were from Texas and loved shrimp boils. The food was amazing but I should've gone stronger on the spice on my boil. We went with a 5,6 and I don't like things too spicy. A 7,8 would've been perfect. Out of 10 stars I'd give this place a solid 9.5. Fantastic place and the wife agrees to visit on every trip we make here.

Excellent sea food

By Mohamed A |

I love the shrimps, fried oysters and calamari. Nice crew, had to wait for half an hour. The price is little high but acceptable for the quality of food.

Delicious and fun!

Our Go To For Crab

By Undercover_Cath |

Love crab? The idea of no cutlery or plates appeal? Want to get tactile with your dinner? Go here. In fact we keep going here each time we visit. The seafood is delishousness. Served in a bag with the level of spicy sauce your choice, this is a great place for friends and family who love sharing seafood. Always order the corn and potatoes. They soak up the sauce beautifully. And the limes? They're for washing your fingers. A must!
