Excellent meal

By Adam M |

Ate there with a group of colleagues while in town on business. A member of our group made a reservation weeks in advance because he heard it was "the best steak house in America". It was packed so glad he did. In short, the steak was excellent. Making my mouth water typing this review. Sides were very good as well, and the wine did not disappoint. The dessert was also very good, as was the service. While you may need to take out a second mortgage to afford a meal here, it's worth it if you can swing it. I will definitely go back.

Excellent find

By OnTravelsAgain |

We stumbled across the Butchers Table walking to the Pan Pacific hotel as it is nearby. We had already eaten, so we only had drinks. Service was first class, fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Late night dinner

By TheMouse08 |

So and so customer service. Food was just OK. Waiter didn't acknowledge us for a while and then didn't really come back to check on us.

Pretty good.

By Global Travelers Unlimited |

This is a steak place, thats for sure. Decent wine collection and tasty sides including mac/cheese, beef fat fries and of course the ny steak was on point. Service was a little rough in the beginning but the server came around a bit. Beautiful designed all around and good, but not great. Hoping for the next time to have that amazing experience delivered. Recommended overall.

FABULOUS!

By RoadtripHer |

Being from the Midwest..cattle country....and being married to a grillmaster, I like to think I know a thing or two about beef. My dinner at this restaurant will go down as the best steak dinner I've had at a restaurant....ever. I ordered their house red...a draft wine that was delicious. So delicious, I was sad to learn it's only available by draft and bottled for the restaurant as their house wine, I believe. Our server, JENNIFER, did a great job of explaining the grading system of the cuts and what we could expect with each. For the record, I ordered the filet, and while I can't recall the "grade" number, it was the second (I think). While Wagyu is known for it's marbling, I prefer the leanness of a filet, but I did order a more marbled cut than normal, and it was much more flavorable than the typical filet. The green salad is anything but ordinary. I can't believe I'm saying this, after having just said the steak was the best I've ever had, but I'm going to say ditto to the salad. The dressing was very light and let the flavors of the fresh greens shine. Mac and cheese was amazing too. My only regret is not getting the peppered donuts...I just didn't have room, but will get them on my next visit. The day after our meal, we got a phone call from the restaurant asking if we'd enjoyed our meal. Really...who does this? No one, in my experience. The manager came by our table and sincerely welcomed us, Jennifer was amazing, the food was excellent. This restaurant is a "10" all the way around. Even though we were only in Seattle for a long weekend, I kept finding myself wanting to go back .....and I will definitely be back sooner rather than later I hope.

everything = fantastic

Was recommended to this restaurant by our hotel concierge and I am so glad they did. The service was excellent. Our waiter was a great guy and was knowledgeable about their extensive wine list and excited about the food on offer. I had the ultra tenderloin and it was one of, if not the best steaks I've ever had. (and I've had a lot of great steaks). Wife had the salmon and I can say she was blown away by how fresh and tasty it was. We had the mac & cheese as a side and it was the best I've ever had. Skip all other deserts and get the mini doughnuts. The other deserts are good (We had a few) but trust me, get the doughnuts.

Delicious meat for meat lovers !

By Julius R |

This Restaurant was recommended to us by the Concierge at the Pan Pacific Hotel. The ambiance was very nice, and the pork chops we ate were outstanding ! We also had two glasses of Chardonnay and a light dessert. I can recommend this Restaurant, as it is a highlight in Seattle.

Its all about the beef

By wschlepp2018 |

Fine dinning in a simple understated elegant setting. Great chef inspired food based around the beef. We started with the Filet Mignon Tartare and Smoked Bone Marrow. beautiful presentation and great flavors . We had beer and wine with the meal and the water glasses never got lower than half full. The steaks and sides were cooked to perfection We tried the NY, Filet Mignon and Cap of Ribeye. The sides we enjoyed hen of woods mushrooms, shaved brussel sprouts and twice baked potato. Remember you get what you pay for so bring a fat wallet.

Perfect

By BobPhibbs |

I walked in without any reservation and told the hostess it was only me and I didn’t want to sit at the bar. Could she find a place for me? I had a great table downstairs right by the fireplace. The evening was perfect $125.Ribeye was amazing the Meyer lemon potatoes were light and fluffy and the pumpkin cheesecake roll up with pecans was the perfect fit. The drink was generous and yes if you’re gonna complain about Price, you shouldn’t go here as I dropped about $220 on myself. Well worth it I’m glad places like this existed the world and they need our support.

Good Food, Great Service!

By Janet C |

We enjoyed several entrees and their excellent beef fat fries. The gnocchi, burger were delicious and the mac-n-cheese with brisket was the table favorite! The wait staff is attentive and the only drawback is the noise. We were told that the lower level is open for dinner and much quieter.

Good food.. Pain to get to this place

By tennisbuff1000 |

Warning if you're driving.. traffic is so bad in Seattle at dinner time, plan on a) leaving early to get there and b) plan on using their valet service. Other than that, the food was very good, beer excellent, service prompt and atmosphere very nice. Steaks are their specialty and was delicious. Prices were high when compared to where I usually eat, but I'd say from the high prices everywhere else in Seattle, it's probably what you would expect.

Great steaks but the sides weren’t as good

By Shelliu |

I was so looking forward to dinner at The Butcher’s Table given all the recent accolades. When you walk in, the dim lighting and huge chandelier are swanky and not too “Amazony”. We sat downstairs which we loved! The server was attentive and had a wonderful wine recommendation. Now to the food ... the steaks were incredible. Our table got 2 different flights of steaks - the filet and the high end one with 4 grade 5 cuts of meat. Each of the steaks melted in our mouth and it was fun to compare them. The sides, unfortunately, were what disappointed. The mac and cheese was delicious but the mushrooms didn’t highlight the incredible hen of the woods taste, the twice baked potatoes were more liked riced potatoes au gratin and were so cheesy and buttery, they didn’t even taste like potatoes. The bricollini was our least favorite - tasted like fish sauce or something bitter was in it. Overall, I would recommend it for a high end, expensive meal if you love meat!

Great concept

By Greg W |

A party of two couples dining on a Friday evening. Great ambience on both levels, though some may say it's too dark. Even with background, live music, conversations were easily held. Excellent service throughout the evening. Delicious starters, amazing steaks, superb wine selection. Definitely recommend this place.

Service is fabulous & you pay for it!

We dined recently in the lower level of the Butcher's Table. (The bar and active happy hour are on the street level.) Though originally odd to be in the basement, it was intimate and welcoming with booths and separated tables. The waitstaff is friendly, informative and well trained not only on all the various entree choices but also how the various grades of preparation and cut vary from each other. All choices are ala carte, so if you prefer a sauce, a garnish, a salad, or a side dish, it must be ordered in addition to your entree. We had the Pear Salad with prosciutto, which was excellent. The Caesar features Chicory, so not your traditional Caesar. The steak fries are basically hash browns remade into a fry shape and fried in beef fat, so rich, decadent and not at all for the calorie conscious! The steaks arrive in the middle of a white plate without even a parsley sprig (as said, any accompaniment needs to be ordered separately). We had the New York (middle grade #5 - $45) and the Rib Eye (introductory grade #4 - $34). Both were excellent with a slight rub for flavor. Unfortunately the New York was a little overcooked as per the order, and our server (Lulu) immediately took it off the bill, offered to bring the guest another, and offered complimentary desserts. Impressive service! As a fore mentioned, it is a rather spendy restaurant, so save your money and go for a splurge, I think it will be worth it!

Chill and delicious!

By mmmatthew |

I sat at the bar as a solo traveler. The staff was super friendly and approachable. I wasn't sure what to order so I went with one of the sampler options: "12 oz of Manhattan-Cut New York" and the "dulcet potato puree, meyer lemon" as the side. Perfection! Bonus points added for making friends with other diners at the bar. So chill and and delicious.

Best steak ever

By Roxie N |

That is all I need to say. Actually the atmosphere was great, nice and casual. The live entertainment was really good, I found myself singing along quite a bit. Service was great, and food was delicious.

Awesome Steaks and Sides

By Paul P |

I had a business dinner at the Butchers Table last night. I was initially skeptical when we were seated in the basement as I typically don’t like to be seated off the main floor. It turns out the basement is a great dining room with a very clubby ambience. Service was excellent. Our server was a true professional that explained the menu well and understood the pace that we were looking for. We had two apps, the crunchy beef fat fried potatoes and the beef carpaccio over oysters. Both were good, but order the potatoes, I promise not to tell your cardiologist. Steaks come in sort of a matrix based on grade, a very interesting way to present. Our server made it very clear how it worked. Three of us ordered the middle of the matrix ribeye and it was truly outstanding. Perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth tender. We also ordered the crab gnocchi entree as a side to share. We also got broccolini and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is awesome. Again, I won’t tell your cardiologist! Interesting, but when we said we needed a bottle of wine, our server did not bring a wine list, but asked what we were looking for. He made a recommendation of a Washington Cabernet that was perfect.

Yummy steak

By sunnysideup559 |

Wonderful steak house. Pricey. Almost too much meat, as the steaks are 1/2 lb of pure deliciousness, even the 4 star (lowest) rank. The food: we split a summer tomato salad - absolutely exquisite! Also ordered beef far fries - thick, savory, too many to eat, and a squash dish that was not that spicy but too spicy for this reviewer. The beef: cheapest ($68) filet mignon, like butter. My partner ordered the 5 star NY steak. Tender and flavorful. He did order it medium and it was delivered somewhere between rare and medium-rare. Grass-fed, and advertised as free of antibiotics, growth hormone, etc. The wine: no complaints. Even the cheapest red blend delivered. The service: Hostesses were pleasant, Scott the server was excellent, and the busboy was efficient. The ambience: masculine. A bit noisy. Overall, delicious. Be warned: you pay for what you get, but you get what you pay for. This place is not cheap.

Great night

By Melchior O |

I came here for the first time last year and had a great food experience. I came back with my boyfriend and some friends and we had an excellent night. Just a bit disappointed when they tell you they don’t have the cut you want - knowing they are specialised in meat! And sometimes not enough twine available. However the food is delicious so you still have a great time

Amazing Food! Add it to your MUST visit Steakhouses list!

By codycarter83 |

Amazing food and enjoyable drinks. Very attentive table service and there "french fries" are super amazing! Would come back. Prime cuts of steak and done right! You can add this to your list of must visit steak houses

Excellent beef and great ambiance but pricey!!!

By Ben_Smith |

We ate here for the first time for dinner in the downstairs restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful and we loved the light fixture that you see as you go down the stairs. They offered valet service for $10 and the young man who was the valet was excellent. Several of our party ordered different cuts of the beef and one ordered the fish. The beef was excellent, different than the usual so if you are looking for a change, this is an option. The fish was a little dry. This really is a true steak restaurant, we wished that they had some different sizes. They carry 8 ounce portions. The wine list is quirky with some cheaper wines and then higher end ones but not much in the middle. They could broaden it out more if they are a steak restaurant. The sides we ordered were the French fries, the brussel sprouts and the mushrooms. All of the sides we told would be enough for 2 people but they were very small. We actually weren't that impressed with any of the sides. The mushrooms and brussel sprouts were good and the French fries were almost too oily for us. We ordered the donuts, the espresso ice cream and the cake for desserts to share. They were good but we wouldn't say great. The dulce de leche sauce was too watery for true dulce de leche and since we are Argentine, we know what we are talking about. The chimichurri sauce was too watery also and not a classic chimichurri sauce. The wagyu beef is excellent. This is the type of restaurant that we will come to once a year to enjoy a different type of steak. But while we look forward to the steak, we'll have them hold the sides and desserts. It is hard to rate the food because we would give a 5 for the steak and only a 3 for the alaskan halibut and then 3's to the sides, desserts and sauces. From our experience, only the true steak is worth the price and this place is pricey!

Good food.

By P G |

This is a trendy upscale restaurant with a very chic feel around the bar area and main restaurant. Our server was excellent. Good knowledge of the wines , the menu and happy to recommend her favourite dishes. The food was well prepared and nicely presented . This is a good place to go either for a drink or full meal. Would be happy to return.

Culinary Experience Extraordinaire

By DAWG68-WA |

If you love a great steak, this place is it. Of all the great steakhouses in the greater Seattle area, The Butcher's Table is in a league of its own. They will hit your wallet hard, but they deliver on all levels.

Expensive, but worth the trip...

By Joseph E |

I had the strip steak flight. Interesting, not sure I noticed the differences, but I found the meat to be excellent. The baked potato isn’t what you would expect, but it was delicious. My son had the ribeye also excellent. Broccolini++. For dessert we shared the chocolate silk pie. 😋 House Cabernet is excellent, overall a great time.

Loved it

By VikramadityaW |

Outstanding meat, great ambiance, friendly staff and overall a memorable experience. We were a group of 8 a rang up a huge bill the place is expensive but each penny was worth spent.

I agree — Expensive, but worth it!!!

By TheFlyingAce |

Their angus-wagyu beef steak was fantastic. Hirame with avocado crema was the best Hirame I had outside Tokyo. Even the side of Mac and Cheese was delightful. It is now my new favorite restaurant in Seattle.

Best Chop

By SR-1007 |

An excellent rub and perfectly cooked pork chop. Loved the veggies and grits/polenta. Helpful service. Convenient location on Westlake.

Great steaks!

By Eric H |

Had a great diner here on a Saturday night. Wasn't able to make a reservation on line but was able to walk in and get a table. Word of advise don't sit next to kitchen, you will stink afterwards. Otherwise great place and diffanetly will be back.

Was expecting a bit more for the price

By ccriderYVR |

Beautiful restaurant and I can see they have spent a lot in the place and ambience. The prices seemed high. Sat a the bar, ordered a glass of Pinot (French) and Charred octopus. It was served cold with hummus. Not what I expected and cold octopus just doesn’t do it, especially when it is charred. 2small pieces for 14$. Crab gnocchi was much better and very flavourful. Large chunks out of the shell. Asparagus was crunchy, good dish overall but once again a bit over priced for the portion.

Great lunch

By andreasppohl |

This restaurant was recommended to us and our party of 4 was glad that we followed the recommendations! This place is charming and food and service was excellent! While the pricing is a bit on the high site one has to also acknowledge that due to the price point there is no line and you will get a table to enjoy the great food... As the name implies this is great place for beef and indeed it was tender and delicious...I would definitely recommend this place! We all had steak salads and they were fresh, delicious and pleasing for the eyes with way the fish and food were prepared and displayed... Again, a bit pricy but worth it! Give it a try!

Hip Vibe, OK Food

By TSinParis |

Had dinner with a colleague here. We ate in the loungue area - nice decor, but a bit noisey. Service was fine. We shared aan order of mega-fries. I had swordfish that was perfectly cooked. My colleaague had pork chops. The food was fine but nothing elaaborate or fancy. A bit overpriced I thought for what it was. I will have to go back to try something else - maybe at lunchtime.

Wow!

By Annie P |

We'd been recommended to this restaurant, and we weren't disappointed. Without doubt the best steak I've ever tasted, even if it was a somewhat eye-watering $78. Lovely ambience, although we were a bit surprised at how quiet it was on a Friday night. Great service, really friendly and well informed.

Out of My Comfort Zone, but Fun!

By Michael M |

I don't eat raw ANYTHING, let alone meat. My friends wanted to come here and I followed along. It was crazy busy, but my buddy "knew someone" so we were lucky enough to get seated somewhat quickly. I don't even know the name of most things we got but there was jerky, a few raw meat items and I got a sandwich ( I couldn't eat most of it as after trying raw meat for the first time i was a little squeamish). My more culinary inclined friends said the food was all amazing and they did a great job, so my 4 stars will be more based on their educated opinion as opposed to my distaste for raw stuff, haha. Happy I tried it, but not again for me!

Just ok

By wilde_bunch |

We were there over the weekend for dinner (6 of us). My husband has the Ultra ribeye which was cooked to perfection with a side of the twice baked potatoes. I had the grilled chicken which was quite a large portion, but unfortunately was a little undercooked with some rawness around the wing. Our friends orders the king salmon and it was so raw she couldn't eat it. She didn't complain or say anything and the when the server removed the plate we were surprised she didn't ask if anything was wrong as it was hardly touched.

Excellent meat

By NicoBNL |

Really like the meat here. A bit expensive. But very good meat. Had a long time to wait for the food...and it wasnt that busy

Great Atmosphere

By Osweg0 |

Good steaks and nice cocktail menu made for a good business dinner. We split a steak r tasting flight with 4 different 4 oz steaks. 2 were exceptional, 1 was good but the 4th was pure gristle and inedible (hence the 4 star). Sides were exceptional especially the mushrooms. Service was great and cocktails were really well balanced. Special thanks for having a zero-proof cocktail menu as well for the growing population of diners.

A Flight of Steaks!

By teacher34 |

We went here with our family to celebrate my husband's birthday. Both our son-in-laws had come here before and loved it. I actually had never heard of a flight of steaks before. My husband loves a good steak. We were not disappointed, food was extremely good. There were various flight offerings, and my husband had the ultra. Our server was wonderful. Very personable as well as knowledgeable. The manager also was extremely friendly and welcoming. There was a bit of a mix up with the time for our reservation and he surprised us with champagne! A very nice touch. The sides were excellent. The Beecher's Mac N Cheese was amazing. My husband loved the potatoes . I loved the mushrooms. I should mention the thin crackers they have on the table were so good. Several of us had dessert and I loved my peanut butter/chocolate dessert! We ate here on a Sunday early evening and that was a perfect time. Seattle not crowded, there is parking, etc. Wonderful restaurant!

Expensive for what it is, nice food though

By Chris H |

We dined here in a large group and found service a little slow, although not that busy. We had a live singer/guitarist next to us which made conversation difficult. On the menu are a number of different steaks ranked 4, 5 or ultra. These steaks are expensive, even a rank of 4. That said, the steak was well cooked with a nice 'charring' to it. The beef fries were a bit different but tasty all the same. If budget is high end for you then this is a good place to visit.

Okay but nothing to write home about

By aussiekiwi_boy |

This was an okay dinner, but frankly expected way better service and the food was a little disappointing other than the pear salad which was pretty good

Excellent steak in a seafood city

By Vincent M |

The oysters were excellent and the zabuton cut steak, served perfectly "black and blue" was possibly the best I've ever had. Topped with an excellent WA wine and perfect old fashioned. And my husband loved his "Park City Night" cocktail. Outstanding meal

Dealer meeting

By Erik v |

Good restaurant. Made no reservation so we need to wait a bit. Service very friendly. A lot of choice in drinks. Also beer from Germany and Belgium. Meat was perfect.

Family trip

By David D |

Came in for a late lunch. Service was on point. I had the skirt steak sandwich. It was really good. Wish it would have been a little bit bigger but it was still good. Family had steak salads since we were in for lunch. Good portions on this.

Steak flight is the bomb

By Cliff M |

We've been here a couple of times now. Once as a couple, once with a large dinner party. Both times were fantastic. The steak flight is a perfect way to sample several different type of Wagyu. The pressed "fries" are a must try. Extensive wine selection and helpful sommeliers. Wait staff did a great job as well.

Exceptional quality!

By ArjunThapan |

This restaurant was a 'find' in Seattle. An exceptionally convivial ambience, good lighting, comfortable tables and chairs, and a wonderful candlelit backdrop. Excellent steak, exactly the right weight, cooked to perfection the way I wanted it, accompanied by asparagus and pepper sauce. Superb desserts, that we shared. And a wide selection of red wines. All served with panache and efficiency. A high class restaurant, worth splashing out on when the mood seizes you!

Outrageouly Expensive

By Joeval M |

Great restaurant, impecable ambient and good music, however, if you are expecting to eat a decent meal, have your credit card ready. It is going to cost you a fortune! The “ experience” of eating at The Butcher Table was not fulfilling as we were expecting based on the reviews!

Awesome steaks and prepared meats

By Todd2rip |

The way the steaks and other meats here are prepared, presented and tastes are amazing. We also ordered the raw oysters and some greens w/salad and they were wonderfully prepared. The main reason a quarter of the people only give it four stars although this Restaurant is a 5 star is due to the cost of each dish in relation to portion size. I would rather have something taste out of this world vs larger portions. The food here has that above taste and preparation feel !!!

They use superior ingredients

By adalbert3 |

It is obvious that the cuts of meat are special. The "Hen of the Woods" Mushrooms are just something you do not get to experience at most places. The beautiful servings of the Yellowtail are sublime. Even the macaroni and cheese with bread crumbs is a side order of note. The 16 ounces of 5-star, which is a 4 ounce piece of all four cuts, is an interesting concept. The service is good, however at these prices and with this high quality food, the service needs to be at a higher level--more time needs to be devoted to each table (patrons should not have to fill their own wine glass). In addition the servers need to exhibit a greater understanding of the menu not only during the ordering process but also at the time the food arrives.

Too much pepper ruined the flavor

By Enrique G |

Too much salt and pepper disguises the flavor of the steaks. Some of our steaks were tough to handle. This place is overpriced and overrated, but the service and attention was very good and on par with the experience the market/offer.

Lovely meal

By KentCandy01 |

Amazing steak , good service, and the donut desert is great , our last night in Seattle and couldn’t of picked a better place to eat.

Excellent place with a great atmosphere

By Brian R |

I visited here before a Patton Oswald show and it was really great. The atmosphere, service, and food are all top-notch. Great for special occasions!! It's also excellent for foodies who want to explore the differences in the quality of steaks. Also, don't bring your kids here, it's rude.

Best stake ever if you don't mind the price

By BigA1999 |

I like this restaurant as it is very comfortable, great to have a group dinner and being able to talk with each other. The service was outstanding and he knew his menu and made great recommendations. I have to admit that my stake was outstanding and one of the best and I ate in a lot of place around the US and World. Everything was top notch as long you don't mind the price for the place, which is truly on the very high end.

Not all that!

By Chris J |

Our plan was to start with the raw bar and then have the steak sampler. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't so great right from the start. It was more cramped than I had expected and the food (yellow tail, steak tartare and the tuna) didn't even come close to meeting the hype! Plus, for the oysters on the half shell the only had fat b@!tard oysters. On the upside, the service was incredible and our cocktails were fantastic.

Perfect Romantic Night Out

By Rachael S |

If you’re looking for the perfect night out, this is the place to go. We were drawn to the classic, yet modern steakhouse ambiance and we wanted to visit since beginning planning our honeymoon. My husband and I started off our evening with specialty cocktails at the upstairs bar which allowed us to soak in some of the setting sun and fresh summer air we were lucky to have. We then were led to a cozy corner booth and greeted by our server Samuel. Samuel was friendly, knowledgeable, offered wonderful suggestions, and answered all of our many questions about the wine list and menu. We ended up getting the brioche (which is the best bread I’ve ever had), 5-Star steak flight, and the steak set, potatoes, and broccoli as sides. The succulent steaks paired nicely with the fresh and light vegetables spiked with lemon and salsa verde. We also enjoyed getting to taste our way through the steak selections with a 2oz portion (4oz split in two) of each. This has been one of the best restaurants we have been to & one of the best meals we have ever had - all at a reasonable price (it’s expensive, but worth it especially for special occasions). 5 stars on service, selection, and customer satisfaction at the end of the night.

great steak, atmosphere, ambiance, location Butchers Table has it all...........

By Vancouveright |

We'd followed our bartender Alfredo down to his new place of employment, sat @ the bar to catch up with Alfredo had some amazing cocktails and delicious food, started off with the Beef Carpaccio (yum), ordered the 5 star Rib Eye at the cost of $55 which was one of the cheaper steaks with side dish of Beef Fat Fries, hesitant to spend this kind of money on a steak as most Steak Houses rave about their steaks, rolled the dice and to my surprise was amazing have never had a Rib Eye like this, would order it again, my wife ordered the Fish but wished she had ordered a Steak after tasting mine, I'm told the owner is breeding Kobe Beef cattle with Angus Cattle? we will definitely be going back next time in Seattle, ask for Alfredo at the main bar makes amazing cocktails along with being a great host..........

Not going to return

By Benjamin R |

Really disappointing visit. Business meal where the meat was dry and over salted and the servers decided to awkwardly talk about us in front of us and stopped serving wine because they had the feeling that our Chilean, Indian and Canadian delegates were “showing signed of intoxication”. One of the most surreal private dining experiences in history. That being said the beef fat brioche is next level… that bread is heavenly.

Wine, music and great food

By Evan R |

Nice bar area on the main floor with live music on a Monday night. I was worried about the volume but the main dining room is downstairs. Cool bar, wine room atmosphere with private don grooms. I had the salmon which was terrific, all of the sides were delicious - mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, broccoli and Brussel sprouts. Top drawers wine list and professional, friendly service. If they have the pear ice cream it's worth it!

Best Steak in Town

By JJSllim |

Service was great, and the food was better. Had the steak "type" flight and it was phenomenal. We brought our own wine so can't comment on their wine list, but the sommelier seemed very knowledgeable. Only knock would be that the cocktails were just OK, and hard to put a finger on it, but the waitstaff was almost trying too hard, but that is a good problem to have usually. Recommended!

Bad dining experience

By Katie C |

Came to celebrate my boyfriends 39th birthday and the service was very slow. Took 30 minutes to get 1 glass of wine. 45 minutes after we ordered the crab legs they told us they were out. Servers were very inattentive and we had to track them down. They did have a couple of big groups in house though but still. They said we could have a free birthday dessert but then still charged us and by this time we had been there 3 hours and just ready to go home. The bone marrow, tartare and oyster upstairs were good but the steak was over seasoned to the point of it not even tasting like steak and being worth the $150. Was really looking forward to trying the crab legs as well. Very disappointing for the price.

What an amazing treat

By PaulDurkin |

I took my wife here for her birthday. I was our first visit to this restaurant and we'll be back. The steak was amazing...perfectly prepared and seasoned...and the service was spectacular. I highly recommend it.

Great restaurant

By JohnMaMercer |

The food preparation is amazing. Everything is so appetizing. Service is good. Nice place to take photos.

AMAZING!!

By Ty H |

Our dining experience here was absolutely impeccable! From the ambiance/music to the food/wine/cocktails and the service, we were blown away to say the least! We had a large party and we were seated in a private room downstairs. Let me tell you, we all felt like royalty! We had many servers and all of them were amazing. My favorite was Kiyomi, so delightful, friendly and on top of everything! We never waited for not 1 thing. Everyone’s glasses were full and plates were taken at appropriate times. Thats just the service! The food, OMG!!! I would like to thank the chef and all the kitchen. They are true artists. We tried just about everything, from steak flights to bone marrow to salmon(one of my favorites) and every single item was not only beautiful to look at but the taste? UHMAZING!!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The price is definitely worth it here. If you are looking for an absolutely amazing fine dining experience, I highly suggest this place!

Lunch time splendor!

By Pam W |

Wehad lunch in the bar area and it was amazing. Great food and beautiful atmosphere! Had the smoked salmon and the macaroni and cheese was to heavenly. My son had the burger and jfries and it looked amazing. The french fries area an experience in itself. Highly recommend!

Worth every bite

By TulipScoon |

This place knocked our socks off!! Every single bite was absolutely delicious. We sat at the downstairs bar, which you can do if there is room and you did not make a reservation. We started our excursion with a classic old fashioned and a florida holly to drink. The Field Green Salad was light and flavorful. The pop of cilantro was unexpected and delightful. The Beef Fat Fries were hands down the most delicious, most unique fried potatoes I’ve ever had. Learning about their process of grating down the potatoes, soaking them in beef fat, putting them in a pan to shape them, putting them in the fridge, cutting them and then re-trying them in beef fat again made me appreciate them even more. I don’t ever eat sriracha, and don’t seek out spicy but I really enjoyed that on these fries. King Salmon came with a asparagus pistachio pesto on top. I thought you might get a side with it but all sides were separate. That was ok by me. Cooked “medium” to perfection. It was smokier than I had expected. Also ok by me. We had to try the highly recommended, never coming off the menu “The Pasilla Pepper Donuts” with cinnamon and dulce de leche. We were offered to add on one of ice cream options, which when these delicious beignet-esk fried pieces of joy arrived, I immediate regretted not ordering and had to have. The Vanilla Ice Cream Scoop peanut butter banana caramel, peanut crunch, which they lovingly call “puppy chow”, arrived and the stars truly aligned. Scooped some of this deliciousness onto the donuts and all was well in the world. The puppy chow was another unexpected life changer. These 8 pieces of flavor art were over $175 total, but I felt the experience was well worth it. I will be remembering those fries and tasty bites forever.

Huge Disappointment

By Jimmy S |

Huge disappointment. “5 star” and “ultra” steaks are way overhyped. Waitress said they compare to A4 or A5 Kobe beef. Tried Ultra ribeye cap and 5-star Tomahawk - there is no way they can compare with genuine wagyu beef, not even close. Buy some prime steak from Costco and cook it yourself will have better tests and more tender.

Overpriced, bad cooking

By MarcoBazzani |

Non sense price. 60 dollars for a piece of meat. Served in a plate with nothing but the 8ounce steak Asked medium rare, the plate was completely dry in the end. Backed potato was a smash potato. Tried a glas of the only French wine available, taste was horrible changed with a semi decent amarone. For that amount you can go to ruth Cris and do a wedding menu. I don't really get the positive comments. Double no.

Overpriced, not worth the hype

By Carol F. |

We were very disappointed with our pricey experience at The Butcher’s Table. Starting with the positive, our waiter, sommelier and other people that attended our table were fantastic and knowledgeable. The atmosphere downstairs intimate, perfect for a steak house. The New York in the Ultra cut had great flavors, but was over cooked - and we ordered a medium rare. In high-end steak houses, we find a medium rare often comes out a little on the rare side as there’s nothing worse than taking a fine cut of beef and overcooking it. The Eye of Rib was tough and again ordered as medium rare and served medium. At a restaurant of this caliber I would never expect them to make a temperature mistake on all of our steaks, we should have returned the steaks for replacements. The Macaroni and Cheese is delicious, the Beef Fat Fries are not worth the hype, they tasted like hashbrowns formed into logs. The Chicory Salad is a beautiful combination but they drenched it in dressing and Parmesan cheese. For dessert we ordered the Pasilla Pepper Donuts and the Carrot Cake. The donuts were a big hit, the carrot cake had mixed reviews. They do have an extensive wine list. Three people, cocktails, no wine $500. We won’t make that mistake again.

Late Lunch

By CDM49 |

We arrived late for the lunch hour so the place wasn't very crowded. Big city atmosphere. Our waitress Carina was very pleasant and gave us good service. In fact she recommended the special. We both had the Rib Burger with fries at $22 each. Good but rather expensive for a lite lunch. Menu is interesting and quite different, not really what we expected going in. There is no parking available except for a garage down the street. A little on the pricey side so might be good for a date night or special occasion.

Not Much To Add...

By Chris C |

...that hasn't been previously written in most of the other four and five star reviews. The steak "flight" option was extraordinary and just the right portions. The wine list was great. Service impeccable. The final bill was breathtaking, but not unexpected. My bride and I were lucky to have a corner booth, but we would have been challenged to fit the sides, main dishes, water glasses, wine bottle, and wine glasses on the regular tables for two. Very intimate, I suppose, but not practical for a robust steak dinner. We will definitely come again.

Best steak place in town

By Kitam1982 |

This is an outstanding place to have nice drinks and maybe one of the best steaks in Washington state. A wonderful wine menu, great bar tender and wonderful staff The restaurant offers steaks in 3 different fat grades and different cuts Have to be back soon

Cauliflower Fried Rice + Beef Fat Fries

By Raventwisp |

Have you ever wanted giant fries? Like hash browns SHAPED like fries? Feast your eyes (and appetite) on The Butcher's Table's Beef Fat Fries. Great ambience, attentive service, gorgeous interior and excellent location.

Steak Sandwich and Tomato Soup were perfect!!!

By ALinCA5512 |

Gotta give extra love to this steak sandwich. They cut the meat, which made it easier to eat than a huge meat slab requiring you to cut with your teeth. Tomato soup was also very good. I would go back for sure!

Happy Hour

By Helen |

The prices seemed to be a little too steep for me so we opted to go for happy hour and try out that menu. So delicious! I got the steak kabobs and my fiancé got the tuna tostadas and beef fat fries. The sauce on the kabobs was a bit much, but still delicious and very flavorful. I tried a tiny bit of the fries and they were so good especially with that house made sriracha, they need to bottle that up and sell it! Great visit, glad we went for happy hour, food quality is definitely high

Not worth the price

By Kenzie R |

My boyfriend and I don’t do fine dining often we wanted to splurge tonight. We wanted a nice steakhouse with seafood options. When we saw the prices we thought okay a little pricey but I’m sure it will be fantastic and come with plenty of food for this price. I got an 8oz New York steak for $50, it was way over seasoned and my medium was way over cooked. Came with no sides! No bread or free starter, no side salad! Crazy! My boyfriend got King Crab Leg. Just one leg cut in half, super Spicy with no warning! $53! Then we ordered the twice baked potato to share... (this tasted like lemon cake, weird. Not horrible but kinda weird.)

Incredible

By Tbabyjim |

We went to the Butchers Table and had an amazing experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and eager to please. The steaks were great and I highly recommend it to everyone who lives or visits Seattle.

Good steak

By John H |

We decided to dine here on Saturday night. The place has a very decoration and atmosphere. The restaurant had a live music. Steak was very tender while Mac and cheese was very enjoyable. The service was excellent!

Best Steak Ever Had!

By Hikari |

Best steak ever had in my life. Ordered Zabton and NewYork, shared with two people. Meat's thickness, the way they grilled, salt, -everything was just perfect! The combination of slightly-crispy meat surface and its juicy inside was just amazing! When you go there, I also strongly recommend you to order side menu "Fat fly", innovative genius food! You'll find out what I meant when you once eat it.

Superb food

By Robertson;Mrs.a... R |

We found this restaurant which was not far from our hotel a short walk across Denny Park. We did not have a reservation but they still gave us a table near the bar. Our waitress was friendly efficient and welcoming. They atmosphere was vibrant, classy but casual. The food was excellent we both had the Smoked Salmon as an entree it was delicious I then had the most delicious carrot cake I have ever had. All washed down with some generous measures of Tanquery Gin. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in this part of the city

Loud Atmosphere and Quite Disappointing Service and Steak

By Margeritavile |

5 of us arrived early and our table was ready and were seated quickly. Ordered some drinks and seems we waited quite a while for them. Server was pleasant and came with drinks and said she'd come back to take our order. Ordered app's and the fried bacon had entirely too much breading... sort of corn dog style. Ordered the fries... Seems they take the potatoes and mash them, then pass them through a press into the fryer, one order was good and the other seemed overcooked and soggy. Not crazy for the fried pickles either... On to the Steaks... I got the Filet and was so over seasoned It was inedible... Some type of Montreal Seasoning type of product had totally been dumped on this as to almost insult me. The server asked us how our food was... we explained to her why we didn't continue eating the certain meals... she didn't do a thing! The other guests steaks all looked Pittsburg style... Burnt on the outside and rare on the inside. Needless to say, we all 5 were disappointed, paid the $600.00 tab and chalked it up to inexperience and now remember not to trust all of the 27 good reviews. We will not return for another fleecing.

The seasoning!

By Mary M |

There was a buzzfeed article about this place before I came to Seattle so I was excited to try it. I went there in between lunch and dinner. The staff was incredible, my waiter was great, and I felt welcome. The lunch menu was a little limiting but that didn't bother me as I really just came for the steak flight. So the article made it seem as though you get 4 cuts of steak but the flights for lunch were all just two choices. I was thinking I would get four BUT I forgot about it once I tried the steaks. I ended up getting the filet mignon flight and the beef was so tender. It wasn't the most tender I've had but what made it the best was the seasoning. I went back to buy the seasoning to use for later. It was that good. I also had their "house" salad that was delicious. It was simple yet packed with great flavor. The dressing was light but you could taste it. Overall, I was so glad I tried it.

Enjoyed Our Evening

By Vesa A |

My wife and I enjoyed our dinner. We spent a LOT on the meal and I regret that we didn't share the tasting plates of the various grades of steaks. But the meal didn't disappoint. Service was very good and food was excellent. The apple salad was great. We shared most plates and would do the same again. Great place for a romantic dinner.

Best pork chop

By Terp4life_dm |

The atmosphere was very nice. The night I went there was live music. The artist was very good and played a variety of music. The pork chop was one of the best I have ever tasted. It was juicy and well seasoned. If the pork chop was that good, I can imagine their steaks are second to none. It would get a return visit from me.

Beautiful Apps

By Maisy M |

We had lovely appetizers since we could not afford $75 for a steak and didn't want to pay $35 for a pork chop. The apps were tremendous, the staff was lovely.

Ultra Steak

By IslaAnne |

Sat in front of window where they were cooking the steak. Choose the Ultra steak. That is the best grade & it was the best tasting. We opted for the 3 taste steak plate just to taste the differences. The house $10 glass red wine was very good. The beef fat fries tasted a bit like sweet potatoes. We had the steak tartare & it was ok. Mac & cheese was ok but probably won't order again as it was a bit salty. They had live music in front of the steak display case. Would go back for the ultra steak. They have valet parking.

Tasting Flight is a Good Way to Sample Different Meat Grades

By dahlia8 |

We arrived early for our reservation on a Friday night and the hostess seated us quickly. Many cuts of meat are showcased in the butcher case. It’s nice to see the various marbling in the different cuts. We all picked the Manhattan cut New York steak. I had the New York flight. Out of the 3 grades of steak, I didn’t care for the 4 star seasoning, the 5 star was perfect and the Ultra was just ok. Our sides were excellent. The beef fat fries were similar to hash browns and looked like jumbo french fries, broccolini was excellent, bone marrow was succulent and the twice baked potato was flavorful. Overall a good meal but not as good as other steak places I’ve been to however I enjoyed being able to taste 3 grades of steak at one meal.

Like a chain steakhouse, but much more expensive.

By Angelina S |

Was really looking forward to it but it was not great. Treated poorly at check in. The bartender literally threw menus at us. Finally made it to our table after waiting long after our reservation even though we could see many open tables. Told we couldn’t sit in certain bar tables “because of reservations”. Waitress was nice but not very smart and no humor. First two things we ordered they were out of. Finally got dood 1.75hours after reservation time. Steaks were ok, very greasy. Side too salty. Wine was good. Very dark and staff were just WEIRD. Was looking forward something new, but don’t expect to get treated like a real steakhouse. Go to the Met instead where they treat your right for a much better price.

Amazing!!!

By CFLPWinery |

From start to finish this restaurant is fantastic!! Amazing atmosphere, service and food!! Well worth the price! Try the steak tasting. What a great experience!!

They have tasting flights... for steak!!

By AmiePetite |

I found the ambiance a combination of high-end attentive and Seattle style casual. Dim, romantic, I'm going to ask for the table by the mirror next time. The food was all plated beautifully and delicious to taste. Expensive but worth it for a very special occasion.

Delicious

By judylY913 |

Their Wagyu style steak is worth a visit! Plan your date night here! Food is delicious,Great Servuce

Ultra grade is the only way to go

By Fernando7676 |

We had a couple of appetizers - bone marrow was relish, oysters were too big, and the beef fat brioche, which was meh. I am normally a rib eye (ultra) kind of gal and it is hard for me to say but the ultra filet mignon was outstanding - truly like butter and worth all of the extra calories.

Incredible Steaks

By GGGAmie |

I've been a few times now and am already looking forward to my next visit. Steaks are petite, flavorful, rare to perfection. It's also the only place I've ever had uni I actually liked. Dim and cozy. Try the booths in the basement or for the visually minded and self absorbed among us, ask for the table in front of the mirror.

Oh my gawd.....(New Favorite!!)

By GoGoBear |

**** First, the price range listed here could not be more wrong. Our tab came to $700 for four diners, only three of which had alcohol.**** Oh my gawd.... Let me say, I consider myself something of a "connoisseur" of steak houses. I've been to all the well known places in Seattle, all the well known places in Chicago (where I used to live), and many others around the country...Three Forks in Dallas, Peter Luger's in New York. All the chains as well...Morton's, Ruth Chris, Smith and Wollensky, The Palm, Shula's. This was the best steak I have ever had. Beyond that the ambiance and atmosphere is perfect. It was my birthday, and my father-in-law said he'd take us (me, the wife, my son, himself) to wherever I wanted to go to celebrate. Our favorite for a number of years has been El Gaucho, and we always make one visit there when my father-in-law is in town. However, The Butcher's Table had catered our recent wedding, and I was so impressed by the job they did with 20 steaks, I figured I just HAD to give them a chance with one. Oh. My. Gawd. I had the Cap Ribeye 4 star, and my Father-In-Law had the 16 oz 5 star steak "flight", which he shared with me. I will say it again, because I don't know what else there is to be said; I have had lots of steaks in lots of places that are very well regarded. This was the best steak I have ever had. Prepared PERFECT...seasoned PERFECT. The meat itself...so flavorful. Unreal. Beyond the steak, the Crab Toast starter was also excellent, and the Beignets (they call them donuts...I don't know why) was astoundingly delicious. Everything else was very good as well (we also had the Cauliflower and the Bone Morrow sides). Even my Strawberry Sorbet dessert was delicious...very good, perhaps the best I have ever had (I don't have a particular weakness for it, so I can't say it blew my socks off). Weakest part of the meal was the Mac and Cheese, which was disappointing since it had been so very good at our wedding. On this night it was merely good, which compared to everything meant it left something to be desired. Oh, and my wife said her scallops did not make her weak in the knees and swoon the way my steak did me. Which probably means is was as good as you should expect, ordering seafood in a steak joint. Shame on you... Service? After the tiniest, tiniest of rough starts (and I was admittedly in a mood because, teenagers...can't live with them, can't bury them in the back yard) was outstanding. Really up to snuff for this price point. In summary one of the best meals I have ever had. Ever. Just outstanding in every way. But, yeah...bring your wallet and come loaded for bear...

Making the less than Perfect Night, Perfect

By dan b |

Incredible experience again. We've been coming back to the Butcher's Table every year for the last eight years for a family steak dinner. Not once have they disappointed, even when the cards are stacked against you. The testament of a great restaurant is how they respond when it begins as not the perfect night, but ends as one. We booked our reservation at least four weeks in advance and they had a nice table in the dining room waiting for us but unfortunately it was high top table (we asked for a table in the main dining room, which this technically was), but it would not work either of my senior parents as it too high for them to get up too and would have been uncomfortable for them. The Butchers Table responded with incredible smile of 'no worries' and cleared out an unused private room (the Norwegian wood room) and gave us a private family experience that will stick in my memory for some time. The Ultra filet and Marrow Crusted Ribeye were cooked to perfection and provided the perfect anchor for a tasty meal. And the can't miss dessert is the donuts = hands down a treat I look forward to every year (please, please, please do not every take it off the menu. Special shout out to: (1) Wade our server, whose recommendations were spot on, his attentiveness not overwhelming but deliberately supportive, and who got our humor - a plus. (2) Serena who worked her magic to make the room happen

Scrumtious!!

By Tish M |

The atmosphere is laid back but the food is scrumptious!! We ordered from both the Happy Hour Menu (3-6pm) and Dinner Menu. We had the tuna tostada and steak tar tar, both very tasty! The Mishima Reserve wagyu beef is to die for! Definitely go for the Ultra cut. The wine selection is great! There is valet parking starting at 5pm and live music Thurs-Saturday 7:30-10:30pm.

Old School meets New School

By ScottD58 |

Checked out BT to catch the buzz this place is generating. It’s really just old school done right. If you like Manhattans Meat & Merlot you’ll like it here. Manhattans made with Westlake - how very Seattle. Lots of meat with Wagyu beef If you’re not buying and best of all reasonably price Washington Wines means you don’t have to break the bank to dine here. But you could if you wanted!

Beef Lovers Unite

By Chris J |

Awesome meat lovers dinner. The levels of care in beef here are excellent, with their own butcher and 5 grades of availability. Whenever I can get bone marrow I jump and their smoked pair were sublime. I have to say the seasonal Rainier cherry salad was such a standout I took notes to make it. The "man of the woods" flash fried mushrooms was heaven. And since this place is owned by Kurt D., the cheese based stuff is rockin'. Capped with homemade donuts and coffee... and smiles 😌

Thoughtfulness abounds

By Kinda Invisible |

Everything from the decor to service to the food obviously has a lot of thought put into it. We've been dropping some coin on restaurants lately and The Butcher's Table is by far one of, if not the, best place we've ever been. Ever. I love the old school steakhouse decor choices. The tables aren't on top of each other, the noise level is perfect, and the music playing will surprise you. It put the four of us in a great mood from the get-go. We tried the oysters, steak sampler, mushrooms, chicory Cesar salad, apple salad, beef fat fries, scallops, crab, mac & cheese, and donuts as well as ice cream for dessert. Holy shnickey everything was incredible!! A few thoughts on the food: don't think regular french fries because that's what I did and when these thick(ish) long strips of breaded potatoes arrived I was not happy that someone had tried to be fancy and effed up french fries. Not so quick! Give me a bucket of those things and I'll ask for a second bucket. If you can't decide between the two salads, get both. I'm not joking. We didn't know that the owner of the restaurant is the owner of Beecher's Cheese so, duh, the mac and cheese is a must for a side. The steaks, particularly the filet, on our tasting board were wonderful. Okay, here's my big complaint. Please don't charge $5 for your house made steak sauce. Alright, I'm over my rant LOL We will be back... again and again. Thank you!

Happy Hour Snacks - but not steak

By Richard H |

Chose off the happy hour menu. Steak wasn’t an option except the tartar (which we went for) and a tuna dish with peas and a smoked salmon dish and a crab dish. All very nice but a bit the same. We should have ordered a little differently. Wine by the glass 7$ during HH. Probably should have steak here even if it’s pricey. Went home and cooked my own instead.

Romantic speakeasy downstairs

By TheWalterpstras |

Reservations for 4 on a Saturday night, we were promptly seated at a banquette downstairs; perfect for conversations and good food! Two of us had NY steaks that were pronounced excellent, one of us had steak tartare which was proclaimed to be fabulous and one of us had a plate of perfect scallops. The beef fat fries, though well-reviewed, were a little heavy for us but the corn dish and the nectarine salad were wonderful. Service was professional and convivial.

Love steak? Treat yourself!

By BoulderBetty |

We happened upon this place while out on an evening walk in our neighborhood. It looks a bit intimidating from the outside, but inside it is cozy and hip. They have a great bar and a terrific wine selection. But the steak is the star attraction. Our (very knowledgeable) server recommended a flight of steaks, so we could compare the different cuts of beef. All were delicious and tender. The sides were also fabulous - we had the asparagus, as well as the twice-baked potatoes (which on their own are worth a return trip). We were there on a Saturday night, so there was live music which made the experience that much better. We will definitely be back.

Amazing meat

By patricia p |

I went with my family for lunch, their lunch menu not so much for meat, it hace the impresion of a seafood restaurant with some meat, I was really dissapointed but the restaurant manage to made me something from their dinner menu and It was great! Amazing meat. I would recommended for dinner not for lunch

Great experience

By TedSB67 |

It was our first time to The Butcher’s Table: Alexa walked us through the menu and brought great drinks. Nathan took the time to turn on the butcher case lights and talk with me about the different cuts and the farming used to raise the beef. It was a great experience with live music. My 10 year old Foodie had a great time. You can watch the kitchen as it prepares the meals.

Splurge on the Tomahawk

By 95natea |

Our Seattle friends recommended this place and we were not disappointed! We went for the tomahawk and although it was not cheap (about 80 bucks per pound) it was worth it. Our steak was tender, juicy and perfectly cooked. We enjoyed west coast red wine and a gorgeous salad. Service matched the atmosphere of fine dining with casual comfort-- our waiter was charming and a great conversationalist but left us to enjoy our meal with the occasional check in. A great place to enjoy a quiet night with indulgence.

Going back

By Jmh97401 |

Went with mid 90 year old parents. Asked and received a quieter table. Service was friendly and attentive. Ordered the flight for us and it was FANTASTIC. Manager stop by to inquire on our visit. I would also recommend the beef fat fries - amazing. We all had happy plates at the end of our meal. Even got a nice call back the next day thanking us (specific to how nice my folks were) asking for feedback.

Great food, great vibe

By DE D |

Recommend eating in the lounge area at street level. Asparagus for starter followed by halibut and crab gnocchi. Absolutely delicious, and reasonable portions (portion size tends to be bigger in USA). Although music in lounge area, it was not overwhelming and allowed one to conduct a normal conversation (thank you!!). Staff attentive and genuinely helpful. An excellent choice if you're looking for an interesting place to eat (even if not a red meat eater).

Absolute "NO"

By NeverWork |

Just awful- Do not go here for your fabulous steak dinner. There are so many better places in Seattle. Too much to list, but everything you want is not happening here. The food: marginal. The staff: terrible. The ambiance: too dark and borderline weird. No, no, no. Just an average restaurant lover, who tried the place, and trust me, it's a huge disappointment.

Christmas Eve Birthday Dinner

By BelcherBJ |

Happened to be snowing a bit on our way to the restaurant. Taking my Dad for his 85th birthday. All combined for a very special evening. Typical pricing for a high-end steak restaurant but some great options for sharing the larger portions of beef. Don't be put off when you are delivered your food. The portions might seem on the smaller side but the beef is rich and delicious and made to order. And you will leave pleasantly (and maybe slightly uncomfortably) full and happy. And really, the perfect side-dish was the beef fat fried potatoes. (We nearly turned back everything else on the table and feasted on the potatoes. I said nearly. We ate every bit of everything.)

lunch

By laredo11 |

Burger special was out of this world! And you can see them cooking it while you are waiting. Salad was very good, although my sandwich, the meat could of been a little more tender. Steak frites were very rich. Service was excellent.

Great steaks and service!

By Mikkel Lund Knudsen |

Meat was great - service too, but the price was a bit high if you ask me! Placed pretty central of Seattle - and the restaurant has a really cozy cellar with dimmer light which I would recommend. :)

Expensive but excellent

By ferelizondo49 |

We were four people for dinner on a monday, without reservation , after 8:00 pm. We were very kindly received. The place was full and noisy in the main floor. There was only one table available. But it was calm and tranquil down the stairs in the lower level. Food and service were excellent. We tried roasted beet salad, chickory salad, Flatiron beef, and Zabuton beef, and a couple of small desserts. Everything was very good, but the beef was extraordinarily tasty. With some red wine and mezcal, the bill came to about $75 per person.

Wonderful food, service on the slow side.

By Sandy N |

Everything was so good and the wait staff was very attentive, if a bit slow at times. We asked for additional bread and it was taken to the wrong table, our coffee never came and dinner was about 45 minutes coming. But each course was wonderful and the wine pours were generous. Very nice and lively ambience. Will happily return.

Amazing food, Mediocre service

By Sarah |

The food was to die for. The robe eye cap was perfection. The fries were outstanding and the crusted rib eye was fantastic. The chocolate ganache cake was okay but kind of weird tasting. Be prepared to drop some serious money for this place. The steak is 100% worth it. Our server kept forgetting we were there.

A Wonderful Experience

By Tyr L |

For our 27th wedding anniversary my wife and I decided to try The Butcher's Table in Seattle, and we are so happy we did. From the moment we walked in we knew we had made the right choice. The host was very warm and engaging, and once he knew we were there celebrating our anniversary, he suggested a different table for us in the downstairs area which was dark, but not overwhelmingly so. It was actually very romantic. I need to quickly add that the upstairs lounge area with music would have been fine and was a great atmosphere and vibe as well, just busier than downstairs. As soon as we were seated, our waiter (ask for Wally) inquired as to the occasion and promptly brought us both a glass of champagne on the house. We took our time and were treated with impeccable service the entire time. And yes, readers, the food was AMAZING!! We sampled the pink scallops and were blown away, truly some of the best scallops I have ever had. My wife got a generous portion of delicious grilled prawns, and I ordered the 4 piece steak flight. Yes, a flight of steak just like one might try a flight of micro brews. It was a generous 4 ounce portion of each cut, all perfectly cooked to my preferred medium rare. My wife was especially impressed with Wally's knowledge of the wines on the menu, as this is not always the case. There was never a long wait for anything, the pace was great. This was one of our more memorable anniversary dinners, right up there with the Fig in Charlotte, NC.

Amazing steaks! Went Ultra and was worth it.

By Joel T |

Great atmosphere. Sat next to kitchen and it was like watching a fiery ballet. Glass prevents smoke from affecting you. Steak tartar was amazing! Had New York Ultra and every bit of fat disappeared into the meat for succulent goodness.

Early dinner.

By Villagesre |

Had been in city all day sightseeing. Looking for an early dinner before catching train out of city. Very nice menu, waitress excellent. Nice selection of wine, beer. Ordered Salmon and the Smoked Pork Chop. Both meals cooked perfectly. We heard the Wygu steaks are great. Host at front door was very helpful also. Nice relaxed atmosphere at a high top table in the bar area.

Get the Steak(s)

By ItalianaSeattle |

We had 9 people for a birthday dinner - several people had the flights of steaks and everyone was delighted with their meals. The server was attentive and helpful. A very good experience. The only negative is that the menu is incredibly poorly written and confusing - the server did a nice job of helping us to decipher it but it would have been easy for them to make it more self-explanatory.

Closed an artery and loved it!

By Steve M |

We ate too much red meat, and loved it. Went for the 50 some odd ounce Porterhouse and 40 some odd ounce Tomahawk Ribeye. There were five of us and just enough steak leftover for one person to have the best steak and eggs the next morning that they ever had. Loved this restaurant, would go back and only thing I would do differently is get two Ribeyes!! Sooooo tasty. Wait staff were nothing short of perfect. We had to wait for our first round of cocktails just a minute or two past when they should heave been served and the manager came over and told us they were on the house because of the wait. Class move! Knowing this is too classic a dish to ask for, but I would offer has browns or say a twice baked over their potato offering. The bill provided a it of sticker shock, but what good steakhouse'd bill doesn't??

If you need a good steak here's the place

By JRP-Bkk |

Sometimes most people need a good steak and the butchers table delivers in a less formal setting than most steak houses . Excellent quality food . The wine list is extensive but you need a larger wallet than mine to afford most of the offerings .

Rich and amazing flavours

By smitha135 |

We had a business dinner here and tried many of the dishes covering the steak tartare, scallops, Mac and cheese, Brussel sprouts, beef fat fries, smoked mussels, bone marrow, salmon purée appetiser and a cauliflower side. Honestly it was all delicious and equally fun hearing about the variety of steaks (several of my colleagues did steak flights and loved it! I just had enough options to not add more 😂). For the record, bone marrow was the standout (and definitely not something I would usually order). If in Seattle, spend some time and calories here!

what a disappointment

By worldwideKEN |

We (2) had very high hopes looking forward to quality steak. The server introduced us to the food and wine menus with excessive detail and unnecessary flowery language. I'm allergic to some spices and was shocked to learn that the steaks are cooked with a rub or marinade. Expected just pure, tender, fresh beef. Anyway, after all the overly polite chatter, turns out the server only put in one steak order so I got mine first. My partner had to wait, so, yes - I finished before he was served. Worst of all, meat was on the dry side and tough. The manager came over to offer apologies and adjust the bill. Our thanks for the offer but the dinner was still ruined.

Unforgetable Wedding and Anniversary Dinner!

By 51cats1967 |

Our son got married and we were celebrating our anniversary and enjoyed one of the most pleasurable dinners, ever! Our waiter, Augustine, was super. The ambience together with the food offerings made for an unforgettable evening. We can not wait to come back to Seattle and enjoy another evening there.

Loved the bar and the atmosphere, very chic. Staff is professional and fun too! Excellent drinks and food. Not too much of a rum selection... overall good experience

Stylish Savvy Dining

I enjoy coming to Seattle for business and was introduced to this restaurant at a client dinner recently. What a great find! One part wine cave, one part art gallery and two parts sensory dining, the atmosphere of this place really enriches the overall dining experience. I love that customers come casually chic, so appropro of the savvy "multi crowd" (multi-generational, multi-cultural, and multi-tasking!) The food certainly is commensurate with the decor. Flavorful artisanal creations delight the palate. The mini-beignets, both sweet and salty, are a dessert that should not be missed. When are you opening in my beloved Miami?

An AMAZING steakhouse in Seattle

By Bryella V |

A great spot recommended but the Pan Pacific hotel nearby. We got reservations through our hotel concierge and loved our dining experience here. Our server was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The food was incredible. The oysters, peach salad and Yellowtail were among favourites with our table. This place also boasts many amazing cuts of steak that range in price point and marbling with a cool deli style cooler encasing nearby so you can look at each cut in the flesh. A great place for foodies and steak connoisseurs. A great wine list as well for wine lovers and pairings. The ambience is amazing. Beautiful decor that gives this place an immaculate modern and upscale lounge vibe. Definitely a top recommendation for the amazing cuisine there is to be found in Seattle's foodie hub. The Yellowfin appetizer was by far the most amazing dish. Definitely something I could've ordered two of! A must try in Seattle.

Ridiculously Overpriced--delicious but not worth the price

By DulceVida-TX |

I dined at The Butcher's Table in January 2018 with clients. The room is fantastic, dark wood and great design that feels old school clubby and hip all at the same time. The chandelier that hangs over the descending staircase evokes melting ice cubes in a highball glass. It's cool. The upstairs bar also has an area with the meat counter has the steaks on display. This is cool, but should have been an indication a mugging in the form of overpriced beef was imminent. Service was equally professional and slow. Cocktails were well made and trendy, but took forever to get back to the table. Waiter was well informed, engaging, and absolutely focused on upselling. This restaurant offers three grades of beef. They use terms like Plus, and Ultra, but think of them as expensive, stupidly expensive, and HA HA HA you fell for it Expensive. I had the Ribeye Cap, the basic level, none of the crazy ultra prime at $90 for me. It was delicious. They cooked it perfectly, and when I didn't think about the fact it was $70+ for 8 oz I could really enjoy it. One of my clients ordered the Tomahawk steak. I know the sis a trend in steakhouses now. I've seen them everywhere, they are always ultra expensive. But at other nationally ranked, well-known steakhouses they range between $90-125 usually. At this joint.....$254. For. One. Steak. Seriously, ad $254 steak in Seattle, a place not necessarily known for the best restaurants in the world or the for producing beef. It was elite marketing at it's finest. Starters were very good, we tried the steak tartare, the yellowtail, the burrata, and they were all very tasty. We didn't have wine, so I can't speak to the list. They do have a very solid whiskey selection, and the bar staff knows how to make a craft cocktail. My only issue was the bald price gouging on the prices, and service that could have been significantly quicker.

Expensive but worth it

One of the best steaks I've had in the US. They seem to be holding themselves up to a very high food standard, and I would eat here every week if I could.

Great steak, awesome chips

By Tom T |

Does what it says on the tin. The steaks had a great rub on them and cooked perfectly, and the chips / fries were a taste sensation. While a really great meal it is definitely at the higher end of the price point. Main course with the cheapest cut of steak option, two sides (to share) and a single drink were just over $110 / head. Just something to be aware of (but worth the money.)

Wonderful steak dinner

By Richard B |

We visit Seattle often and our host brought us here for a great dinner. Our server was very knowledgeable about the entire menu, and suggested several options and appetizers. We had the fat fried potatoes to start - delicious! Two of us ordered the Cap of Ribeye, medium, and the were prepared perfectly. Very tender and delicious. Another in our parter had the Filet which was also excellent. Visual presentation could be a bit nicer. Steak on a diner-type plate, no sauce or garnishing just looks, well, plain. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and good food.

Excellent meal & service

By Shane L |

Enjoyed an exceptional wagyu brisket as recommended by the friendly staff. Served with a side of cornbread and a selection of house sauces, the food was delicious and was partnered with a fantastic local pale ale to wash it down. A quick look through their wine menu showed a superb variety of local and international wines. Location was perfect, within walking distance to trams and local hotels. Highly recommended for all types of groups.

Excellent beef

By GVSBethesda_Maryland |

Walking down to the restaurant was awesome...stairs had distressed leather and ambiance was in character with the furnishings. Vibe was great. Started with the lightest salad, Field of Greens. Perfect. Then we shared a 16 oz Flight of 5 Star Level. We had all four cuts - Fillet, NY, Ribeye and Cap. Normally I ask for medium rare temperature, but we asked for medium. OMG! It was sooo tender and moist. Outstanding beef...and not even dry aged! We took 4 of the 6 sides. Best were the roasted tomato with blue cheese and mac and cheese. Desserts were Apple Tart and Donuts. Live guitar strumming was unexpected but it made the dinner even better if that was possible! Great ending! Want to return when I come back to Seattle. Hopefully!

Good but not grear

By Luc S |

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a steak snob. I know what I like and tend to be rather picky. This place had decent cuts of meat. Most people at our table were unimpressed and rated it as “they’re trying too hard”. Steaks and sides in general were over-seasoned which really affected the experience. Prices were also too high. They claim that they serve “wagyu”, but one could easily get the same results from a solid prime cut.

great steak place with amazing sides

By 410Dan_H |

My friends and I take a boys trip to visit different baseball stadiums each year. This is our 12 city and this may have been the best steak we have eaten. I had the wagyu ribeye cap and it was great. The beef fat fries were amazing, one of the better sides I have ever had.

Splurge And Order The Ribeye Flight!

By misopiso88 |

A ribeye tasting.....what could be better!?! The food is amazing at The Butcher's Table! There were 5 of us so we ordered 5 different appetizers and shared them all....each one was delicious. We also decided to splurge and order the ribeye flight which was OUTSTANDING! Highly recommend!

Over priced and not worth the expense

By trainman2017 |

Having been to several Michelin restaurants, I have paid a lot more for a meal and felt I had great value for money. In the Butcher's Table I felt ripped off. The staff are good.and as you would expect the steaks are great but when you are paying this amount they should be. I won't be going back. Given 3 stars as the steak are good would have marked higher if prices were not so high.

A great place

By stitcher1951 |

This restaurant is high end with a very nice atmosphere. The restaurant is two level and we sat in the lower level. It appeared to be quieter than the upper level. Every employee here was first class. It was very obvious our server was experienced. Her name was Kiyomi and she was excellent! My husband started with an Espresso Martini and he was very pleased We then split the pistashio pear salad and we were both pleased with that. I ordered the cap steak and it was tender and cooked perfectly. The only reason i gave a four to this restaurant is because the steak was very was very heavily seasoned. I like to taste the meat, not seasoning so it was a bit of a disappointment My husband rib eye was the same way and he loved it. We shared the fat fries. Very different, very good but also filling I ordered the brioche bread and it was fluffy and buttery So all in all it was a great place with excellent employees and nice food I probably wont go back due to my taste in steaks but I would recommend it to others

Incredible Group Service

By Stacy V. |

We recently hosted a corporate dinner here with around 20 guests, and had nothing but raving reviews over the food and service. As most planners know, service for 20 an be difficult for some restaurants, but it The Butcher's Table handled our group flawlessly. Highly recommend!

Best. Fries. Ever.

By Amelia H |

It would be a crime to come to this restaurant and not have the beef fat fries. I'm not usually a big potato chip person, but these were unbelievable. Our eye of rib steaks were delicious as well.

The place for steaks

By RMOZART |

Steaks, and the selection of grade and cuts are second to none! Staff was very friendly. Great bar, where we had a drink before our table was ready. Will be back for some more Wagyu.

Splendid

By PJPILOT |

Bring a sackful of money. Nevertheless, I thought it money well spent. Weygu (?) beef was excellent, and believe it or not, there were raves for the mac and cheese. Service also excellent.

Extremely Disappointed

By Dan J |

Great ambience...after that it went downhill very quickly. The food was poor, the service average at best and the prices were over the top for what was presented at the table. I would definitely not return to allow them a second chance nor would i recommend the Butcher's Table Seattle to anyone.

Best second date ever!

By Piari L |

This was my first time visiting The Butcher’s Table but definitely won’t be the last. From the moment I walked into the restaurant I was warmly welcomed by the hostess who took my coat and escorted me over to my date at the bar. The decor and service were impeccable. We started off with the most delicious cocktail “Paper Plane” served up exactly to my dates request with egg whites and extra lemon. Yum! Then we ordered oysters and the beef tartar. Both were exquisite. Thank you for making our date the best!

Very disappointed

By Maytraveler |

We were looking forward to this meal for months as we planned our vacation. Obtaining reservation was easy online. We were seated immediately on arrival. Our waiter was not very attentive. Our party of four ordered the soup with veggies and beef bone broth. It was so salty that we could not complete it. Much to our disappointment, that was the flavor profile of the night. One member of the group ordered the cauliflower steak, the other three had steak or filet flights. All the meat was extremely salty. The grade/cuts of meat were difficult to discern related to the level of salt. When the waiter was asked about flight after it arrived at the table he was unable to answer questions regarding type/grade of steak. The medium temp requested on steaks was also inconsistent, some bits rare, some well. The extreme saltiness makes one wonder if they were passing off lower quality meat and charging prime meat prices. Otherwise, why not let the quality of the meat shine thru.

High-end Steakhouse Special Occasion

By CarolDeland |

I rate the experience a 4 out of 5. Not too many options to ear something light or select a smaller portion. Everyone cannot ear large robust meals. What I did eat waa good.

Great Steak and good service.

By Piti I |

I've been to the Butchers Table twice now. We've been living in Italy for 1.5 years and we were craving some American Beef. Steaks are less fatty, less marbleized in Europe. We went to the Butchers table twice. The first time the service was just OK but the steaks are good but not cooked consistently. I got the NY Strip flight medium rare. The 4 grade beef was medium, the 5 was more on the rare side and the ultra was the perfect medium rare. My wife got the NY Strip 4 cooked medium and hers was perfect. I didn't send anything back because we had our just born 1 week old baby with us. Service was just ok. I would have rated this a 3 if I didn't go back for a second visit. The second time we went, I only ordered a 5 grade NY Strip. I ordered it medium rare. It came a little over medium rare. My wife ordered the rib eye cap medium rare. It came back rare. She sent that back and it was cooked properly. Over/under cooking steaks happen as long as they correct the problem I don't really have an issue with it. The food was delicious. Great marbleization on the steaks and perfect seasoning. The service was much better than previously. Our baby was now 6 weeks old. There are no changing tables at the butchers table. I went to the bathrooms downstairs and upstairs looking for a place to change the baby. One server noticed me going upstairs and told me there was a bathroom downstairs. I told him I was looking for somewhere to change the baby. A couple minutes later, a front of the house manager came over to our table and told us he had setup a changing station for us. Which was totally unexpected and appreciated. He also said they were working on adding changing tables to the bathrooms. Overall a great experience. Great food, good wine, and great service.

Pricey but worth every penny

By Ectoplasm Fantasia |

Steak was amongst the best I have ever had (top 3) and I eat steak across the world as it’s one of my favourite foods. Delicious fries - one portion enough for two people and more like hash browns (were amazing!) couldn’t get enough of the crispy bite! Mac and cheese the best I have eaten. Mocktail was full of flavour if slightly small. Attentive and knowledgable staff, ambient live music (fri night) and a really relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

Average Steak with Lots of Salt.

By CSE |

Hotel concierge directed 2 of us to this restaurant since it was close. The service was prompt and friendly if not overly engaging. The steak tasting platter that our server recommended had 4 small pieces of steak - each different. One was very tender and the other 3 ranged between good and fairly tough. Both of us found the steak pieces extremely salty to our taste. Have to rate it average - and the next time I’m in Seattle, I’ll be looking for something different.

Superb

By dorissanchez |

Absolutely delightful dinner. Ambiance and service was excellent. Our steaks were mouthwatering, flavorful and cut like butter. The tomato salad and its dressing were a wonderful burst of flavors. The wine and cocktail were excellent as well. True it is pricey, but worth every penny. I absolutely recommend this restaurant.

Don’t spend your $$$$ here!!!

By Desiree M |

Worst service, food not cooked to desired temp. We had a reservation. Was seated immediately. Busboy delivered water, said server would be right with us. After sitting longer than 10 minutes we had to ask if we even had a server. Server was assigned, took our order. We ordered a very nice bottle of wine. Our order took an hour, not one person stopped by our table to pour wine or to let us know our food would be arriving soon. I did notice the table next to us (their sides arrived after they were finishing up their steaks.) they were not happy….. Our steaks came out very rare (we asked med rare). Not one person stopped by our table to see if everything was cooked properly. Very dissatisfying in service and food. Such a waste!!!!

Wonderful dinner

By Leisha P |

My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and as part of our “baby-moon.” It was a Friday night, so we made reservations for 7:00. When we arrived, we did valet, which was $10, and was well worth it as parking is a pain. Our table was ready right at 7. The atmosphere is cozy, lively, and romantic all at once. The service was wonderful, our server Joel never missed a beat and was prompt with everything. The food was delicious-he had a steak, and I had the crab gnocchi. We also ordered two sides-the Brussel sprouts and the twice baked potato. I’ve never had brussel sprouts that delicious before! Everything was wonderful, and the restaurant even called a few days later to follow up on our visit. I’m still amazed at the level of care we received.

Higher Expectations

By Jmh97401 |

This was our second visit to the BT. We were all so looking forward to $$$$ meal. However that was not the case. The service was moderate. The sides ordered had very small portions. The steaks were disappointing. Chewy. I was even charged for an extra dollop of ketchup / sriracha for the beef fries.

Wonderful place for a celebration

By LPLoveToTravel |

We celebrated our Grandson's HS graduation in style with a large group. Many of us ordered the steak flights to try the different cuts. What a fun way to sample different cuts and preparations. The sides were amazing. I could have eaten the hen of the wood flagship as a meal! Ambiance was very nice although it was a bit dark.

Good steak

By desinerg |

Great atmosphere and love the butcher shop component. steak was pretty good as with the chunky fries.

Had amazing steak flight last night

By Racerboy796 |

Had dinner here last night. This building has very cool old school with modern touches creating a great ambiance. We had the bone marrow appetizer which was very flavorful. Then we had the steak flight(5star) which allowed you to try most every type of steak that the Butchers Table offers. The steaks were excellent and cooked to perfection. We had the twice baked/mashed potatoes which had a hint of lemon in them which made them very unique but excellent. The broccoli Was excellent as well. We finished off with some ice cream which was also amazing(but who doesn’t like ice cream right) I would highly recommend this place to someone looking for a top notch steak and we will be back again!

Cement Floor, High Ceilings, Black Outfits, Loud, Cocktails $10.00 at a cost 0f $2.00

By William S |

When will we ever again see a cocktail lounge that gives you a fair shake at a decent price? We appreciate good value and honesty. Glass of white wine, $7.00 (probably happy hour), and a Gin with Compare' $12.50, normally $9.00 plus $3.00 for a specifically-measured 1/2 shot of Compare'. Clean venue, clean restroom but motivated by Trump-style economics. When we ordered an Uber, we asked for the restaurant address from the bartender who couldn't answer. Seattle is a great town with very good bars and restaurants, Visit another place for a drink.

Great meat

By Kico_mei |

Great environment, food and service. It is not cheap, actually can be quite expensive, but worth the money.

Happy Hour

By WrldTrvler0000 |

The Butchers Table was a great choice. My friend and I researched on yelp and our findings were confirmed by locals who also recommended this place. We had a variety of drinks, steak kabobs, charred octopus, chicory salad, chips & dip and salmon. Everything was great and even better during happy hour - prices were very reasonable. Service was really good and the ambiance of the restaurant was great as well.

Enamored

By Christian M |

The service from the host, servers, bussers, and managers was absolutely fantastic. My wife and I visited the evening of our wedding and the staff ensured that we felt celebrated. The atmosphere was polite and quiet and the food was fantastic. Though a little on the higher side absolutely worthwhile if celebrating a momentous event. We absolutely recommend this place if looking for a classy experience, wonderful food and caring staff.

The supreme steaks

By Marco G |

I went to The Butcher's table after having experienced other steak house in Seattle. I have to admit that even if the average quality of the steaks in town is by far over the average, the ultra steaks at the Butcher's table are really unbelievable. High quality meat, very well cooked and very very very tasty. Supreme steaks. I had the 65 dollars New York Ultra, while my wife had the 85 dollars Filet Mignon Ultra. Both of them were exquisite.

food is very high quality (so are prices)

By Douglas William M |

enjoyed the food and wine very much, but it did break the budget, so understand that going in, i was the only one to have the fish as everyone stuck to the steak (stick to the steak)

Just drinks but good cocktails & friendly service

By susan2909 |

Staying downtown and was trying to find a bar open at 3pm on a monday, its harder than it sounds!!! :) popped in for a couple, very nice cocktails & good service. Was starting to get busy by 5 when we left so took that as a sign the place is popular.

Great food! Would want to be for the price tag.

By Marie6393 |

We were seated in the lounge area and the venue style and ambience is second to none! The food here was incredible and we could not fault a single thing about our dishes. We ordered the tomahawk and 3 side dishes and it came out very efficiently despite being informed there would be a wait for the food because of the size of the meat. Megan was as helpful and friendly as they come and was very happy to assist with our questions. I also want to mention that my glass of water was never half empty as there was a waiter doing his rounds every few minutes topping up my glass which was nice after a long day exploring the city! They clearly have invested in top quality staff here and it shows.

So delicious

By SeattleTraveler1_11 |

I was surprised at how good dinner was at The Butcher's Table. I expected a good steak but it was really good. We got a cap of ribeye and tenderloin 4* each and they were delicious. The apple salad to start was lovely. The twiced baked potato was also good. Our service was great as well. I wasn't expecting to spend as much as we did though.

Words cannot convey the delight

By Rachel R |

During our stay in Seattle before the NYE festivities, my family ventured out in search of steak. We heard about this place from the front desk of our hotel and off we went. Found out you need a reservation to sit at a table nut the bar had open seating. Since we got there right as they opened, we had our pick of positioning. Now, this place serves Wagyu beef, the best on the planet, and as you can imagine; priced out of the working man's range. Our fantasies of steak dashed (the lowest priced was $46), we looked at the rest of the menu and found lighter fare. Much to our delight, the food was so amazing, I can't convey the loveliness that occurred in my mouth with each bite. The bartenders knew how to make a drink and even those had my palate singing their praise. Oh, did I mention that it also has a butcher counter where you can buy your beef and ruin it at home? Because I don't think the ordinary kitchen is equipped to handle this level of meat. You must go to this place! I insist.

Sublime steaks

By NBH_RH2 |

Last night was my 4th visit in 2 years and it just keeps improving all the time. Virtually faultless on every level - food, service, ambience. I started out with a perfectly made Manhattan, then had the Beef Carpaccio and 5 star Cap of Ribeye which were both excellent. This is expensive, but the experience matches the price tag.

Family BD Dinner-6 People

By psdietc0ke |

The service was impeccable and the venue special. Our scallop appetizer scrumptious to start. Entrees ordered were all beef (steak flights, filet mignon & rib eye ) and one pork chop. Beef entrees were declared great except one was underdone and then when sent back, over cooked . My pork chop was described as being served pink and moist but it was overdone & dry. We also had 2 bottles of wine with dinner & a round of drinks (some @ happy hour prices) upstairs, and 4 side dishes with dinner and our total combined bill with tip was $1200.00. For us, this is a one & done. I expect “outstanding” food for their prices but found it to be above average at best. We have dined in all of Seattle’s & Bellevue’s finest restaurants and Butchers Table ranks well below El Gaucho, John Howie, Canlis or Aqua.

Very tasty meat. Excellent

Very tasty meat. Excellent food and atmosphere. Not cheap, but certainly good if you want to have a decent meal.
